"Is. Today. What do you do? With the movie like this. I mean, it could be it could be an. A best picture nominee it could be an Oscar winner and I can tell you at this point in time. This is not slow mind-blowing. League good. That it miraculously just makes people change their mind or what political stance they have and right now. I mean. I'm not I'm not as of now the quality of the movie I'm just saying, Oh, you'll fuck how good this is. How bad it is isn't that GONNA change anybody's mind on where they stand it. This is mom is too late in the game for that I mean who knows maybe wanted to you know. Maybe. You go by the whole thing. Well, it just changes one mind you know. I think the most you can hope for. From. Something like this. Is that you get an entertaining film. That tries to drop some sort of. Research. -able facts out there. So that maybe that wanted to people out there. Maybe they get educated who are on the fence the ones maybe and that one guy who's Donald Vincent new. Right When you want to just push off no matter what. fucking fence at this point. Yeah exactly. Exactly. Now you know it's A. This if you do some sort of a research, -able. Dropped some research facts. Something's Eh. That that do exist that might not have remembered for awhile and need refresh refresher are maybe you didn't know even if you. Even, if you're not a trump supporter. Okay. Cool. But I will say this. Balancing those things. Is Not easy. You know trying to make an entertaining movie and trying to also put something out there that. Gives. The people some knowledge is not easy thing to balance. And I'd say that for me, this movie doesn't exactly find that balance either. Some movies who can but this is not one I keep saying movie but this is more like two movies are one you know one long as we'll be really WANNA, put it that way feel movies. Yeah. Yeah. Yea. Couple of films it's it's a two-part and had actually to pretty much a self contained films in a way. Yeah No, it is going to talk about the cast and a little bit. I will say this. Anybody, who saw the trailer for this? I heard the news about this. 'cause that's how it was pitched. This this was pitched as the trump movie. This the one where ACTA. Brennan. gleason was gonNA come in and do his his greatest trump impression. This is going to win all kind of Oscars and get all kinds of wars and whatnot. I'll say this but anyone going in expected to watch the trump movie. Three hours of Brendan Gleeson Dona trump impersonation. Your not only going to be sorely disappointed. You'll be mad as fuck. Because this. Pretty much if you WANNA take it as one movie this is a three and a half hour movie. In trump don't show up for almost two hours. Yeah. If that's what if that is what you're looking for I'm not judging the movie on that because I would tell you is not that the movies wrong for doing that it's not called the the trump rule. No, it is not. No I mean look they marketed the fuck out of trump. Let's let's let's not like they knew that that was gonna be the selling point. So you know I can understand some people be a little irritated and is what they promised me. But you know actually the way they do it is a cool structure. As I say split in two parts. The first part is the FBI in their investigation into the Hillary emails and how mishandling that along with the Russian interference into the into the hacking of. Government files and emails and also the interference with the elections at the time. You know. How that led to trump victory that's the thing that they focus on but also. This is. This is mostly. Komi story play by wasn't. Dan. Who looks nate even try to make it look like Dis Hair. And do in any even try. It's mostly his performance trying to hear his hair when they gave him dark context and I'm looking at here doesn't really have our guys you got thriller is this. This is this mostly A. James Comey Story. You know if you. If you look at this, you can almost you can almost watch. A heroes. Origin Story. You know like here you get. You get him when he's I. Being brought in to UH position of director of the FBI. This is when he comes in and he's appointed by Obama. Actually him. Even had a little exposition. Do a quick rundown of what his personality is like. You know just like like I said any kind of origin story where the hero or the the the protagonist comes to that position this is what you got here. Garnered.

"And if they did that, like every day for a whole season, and you could this, maybe. Yeah I wonder how widespread this is in college. If we can get some Duke data that tells us, this is a good idea. But you couldn't really test it like, I mean, doesn't happen often enough in the majors to have simple there. But could you even test like can you test if there's a per- pitch improvement? I guess you could maybe kind of test that right within a plate appearance. Like if you just look at what happens when you swing it a first pitch compared to what happens when you swing it a fourth pitch in the first time you see a pitcher, maybe that would give you some inkling of. Of whether there's an advantage to seeing those subsequent three pitches, intervening pitch. So I don't know they're probably ways you could look at this. But I've not aware of this being suggested. So I don't know if it's a good idea on it happens. If it had you heard it here, first and to be cleared. Duke gets credit for the mid mid at bat platoon like for the having pitcher roles based on talent. That's all them. They invented that or some other team invented that we're talking about something different that, that is different than do, and we're going to name it. But I mean really just start doing this in the minors, right? And. C. C. O. S. Now, would it be worth persisting with a less optimal matchup for the first like three or four pitches of the plate appearance? Just because you are theorizing that you're getting this big advantage like deleted the guy in only as long as the matchup favors him, but then pull him even in that supposedly favorable plate appearance for another guy just to get this element of surprise. Or do you leave him in longer than you would otherwise to, to? Then get this the surprise affect when the new guy comes in it depends on how extreme the effect is. And how successful this is. I mean, presumably, you're bringing in a new pitcher because you think the new pitcher is, is actually probably slightly better. So you're you'd be the question is, are you going to leave a slightly worse option out for three pitches? Or are you going to bring your better option out and try to extend your better reliever for three pitches to get him in or are you gonna lose the platoon advantage to? This assuming that you don't have like equal. Equal quality pitchers that are there's no difference. So that would be sure that'd be part of the math, you'd have to figure that out figure out how big an advantage, this is to do. And I don't know how many mid so that the real obstacle to this in widespread use is that there aren't many mid inning pitching changes that, aren't platoon based, usually you bring your setup guy in for the eighth in you. You kinda like that he's going to start the eight manager sometimes talk about wanting to get their high leverage guys clean innings with nobody on base the closers, in their main setup guy. So you're not doing a lot of like I'm taking out a righty, and I'm bringing in a righty, and less something already going wrong. Unless you're replacing an ineffective pitcher in which case, yeah, you might wanna pull that ineffective pitcher rather than extending him into the next at bat. But this might be a way to get him out slightly earlier. I don't know how many opportunities you I don't know how many like how many mid inning pitching changes. There are that you would consider the two pitching the guy coming out and the guy going in to be roughly comparable quality. So that's, that's part of the math, but we're hike. We're high-concept guys, don't we don't we have a staff for this. Right. We're just the idea men. We're putting this out in the world, and you're all follow up on it, and do the research and let us know or don't let us know but just put it into effect will know that the meth check out when the race start doing it next year.
