"The Donald Ross sportswear company. And Zilker belts and our guest today on the show will get Zilker belts, which I'm telling you. They get better and better all the time. All right. Ed is not with us today. I'm Scotty Surveyors. He's not with us here. It's the golfers Roundtable. I'll tell you Who is it The golfers round table right now. My daughter Shari. Sailors is here. My wife Julie Sanders is here. Rick Chambers is here. And Camille Chambers is here. One of the producers of 12 Mighty Orphans, So we're going to merge Golf in Hollywood this week. In the meantime, we're going live to Dallas, Texas and Ed Clements. And are you watching the U. S open right now? Well, I'm watching the U. S open and having a few drinks here for my sister's birthday party. But what an exciting fund us open. What a crowd You got there at the cabaret today and one of my favorite guys. Rick Chambers. Rick Chambers used to live in Lubbock, Scotty, and when Texas would play Texas Tech. We would be the only Longhorn fans it Spike Dykes House after Longhorn Football Games Tech football game and usually in Love XX. The second win, but great affection for Camille and, of course, Rick Chambers and, of course, Julian daughter, Charlotte. Yeah, this U s open. It's fun to watch. And I'm just I'm waiting to see Scotty and I think we're beginning to see it. Now, as the leaders finish out their first nine somebody to emerged somebody to blow up in the back nine. Someone to go lower the back nine. But I'm so impressed with Russell Henley, the young guy from Georgia. This guy's tough. He's 14 times on the tour, Scotty, so we know he's a good He's a good load offer. Yeah, He is a good golfer it and let me go down the leader board right now in the third round of the U. S open from Torrey Pines, which, by the way, is a municipal golf course Anybody can go play it tourists. It's owned by the city of San Diego. Russell Henley Henley, As you say, is the leader he's at five under par. Matthew Wolfe and Richard Bland, the journeymen from England. They're both four under par. They're all on the front line right now, In fact, bland and Handley or just on the sixth hole, Louis use stays in his three under. Roy McIlroy brass and a shambo, Scottie Scheffler, Kevin Streelman and Jon Rahm or two under, and then that Johnson is one under. That's a heck of a later boarded except maybe for Russell Henley and Richard Bland. Which which I kind of feel like they might peel away worry about that's not love The story about Richard Bland because 48 years old one for the first time on the European PGA Tour, and this guy is just playing Footloose and fancy free this week. Because he's one he's one his card for the European tour. He's trying to make his mark on the PGA Tour. He's doing a big big way. Russell Henley, the kid from Georgia, just a tough, ready player, but I sure like the way Matthew Wolfe is playing. And I've forgotten until the coverage yesterday that that you wolf, you know, had a two shot lead going to that. Get Saturday ground. Last year at the US Open at Winged Foot. So this guy after a couple years, a couple of months have taken off and trying to get it his mind right is playing some beautiful golf. Yeah, You know, I always like and I said this on your show with Vito yesterday that I like to try to on the camera on TV. You like to look into the player's eyes and see if they look a little bit scared. And especially on Sunday, you can kind of you can tell the players that might be a little more nervous than the others. One guy, Scottie Scheffler, I haven't seen that fear in his eyes yet, And I think he's about ready to win, don't you? Well, I do I Scotty was one of my fix earlier this week because you can't not Love the kid, and we've known him for a while when he was here at UT. Heck, I've known him since he's seven years old when he hit a shot at the the Kinko's pro Am when I was playing on a team with D A Weibring At that time, I didn't know he was going to be a superstar. But yes, Scotty has the temperament. Scotty Scotty Sarah's He's got the temperament to go the long haul. He's got the length. You can put Well, you know, I just think he needs to hang in the rest of the way and get within striking distance and you've got to believe, with all due respect to Richard Plan, and Henley, I think there may be a little tightening of the golf shirt. When it comes to late today and early Sunday. I think you're going to see someone with a little more seasoning. I know him. He's got the season plans for the gate. Someone who's really been in the picture last year and a half and that guy Scott and Shepherd, But I would also say, watch out for cap to watch out for Rahm Watch out for Rory because they are so capable of making a big move on Sunday. Well, Roy seems to be at least to me and I was sitting at lunch today with our friend Ben Crenshaw and just asking him Why he thought Roy may not have done so well lately. I mean, he won a few weeks ago, but in the majors, he hadn't really contended, but his swing looks beautiful. Right now. It looks very, very good..

Jeff, Do you ever see Vin Scully out in L A these days? No, no, no. I did a long time ago when he when I was growing up. My dad was a member of Riviera and when he'd come down the range because Bel Air didn't have a range, and he came over to hit balls quite a bit. And Yeah, he pretty much kept to himself. Pretty pretty quiet guy in person. I always want tried really hard to get Golf channel to do a feature on his years calling the masters. I don't know. You know how much he would have enjoyed it because I don't think he hated Frank Chicken and got along that great. But, hey, he called quite a few Masters and players championships and You know one of the great things in the when they dare to rebroadcast on old golf tournament on the Golf Channel in the early eighties, Is it Z? It's Vin Scully and Ken Venturi and it Z. Great. Well, of course. He called the Skins Game PJ West, where we're watching The Bob hope the American Express this week. Another great Los Angeles resident died today. Larry King, the broadcaster. Did Jerry meet Larry King or your dad Land? Meet Larry King Or what involvement. Did you have a Larry King? No. Yeah, We've had a rough year here in l. A. We have lost so many people were kind of mean. Larry isn't a Malay native, obviously, but he kind of became one and huge Dodger fan, Huge Totori baseball guy and Well, man, we lost Tommy Lasorda. Of course he's probably won't go. "Donald Ross Sportswear at Del Golf, Zilker Belts, nine banded whiskey. The naughty Deccan bars, the Renaissance Hotel at the Arboretum and modest Tex Mex. Gotta get afternoon. You look like you just got off the golf course. It was a little windy out there, Ed. I got to tell you and played with Ben Crenshaw two times Master Stamp and our friend Bob K, and we got blown all over the court. But I didn't expect it. I saw the forecast. It looked like it was gonna be warm. You know, this is normally our day for them. Uni putting tournament the Munich Bulldog re union. All the guys that used to have Play over immunity and around Christmas time they play football out on the putting green and such and get chased off by the pro over there, And but Was canceled this year cause a covert. Yeah. Yeah. So we're going to talk me you need today that we should have a little fun. Because because we miss that event this year. Yeah, I remember seeing pictures of it over the years and some of the great let Walter Benson was there. Usually Mr Benson would he was there last year. 103 Now 103 years old and a great group of Guys. You love beauty. Well, Scott, he talked about it on the show. Today. We've got two very special guest our friend J. Reynolds, who owns the course record at lines Municipal. It's a 60, a very special guest. Who's with us on the 15 Club. Live line right now is Aaron Seifert of Golf Content creator the best looking son of Ray Benson. And I Guess Aaron, you could call it a mini documentary. That you did on J. 60 immunity. Welcome to the show and tell everybody what you have done to recapture J 60 immunity. Oh, fellas. Thanks for having me And I, Scottie, Thanks for that little plug about being the best looking son. We won't. We won't tell anybody how much I paid you to say that, but I appreciate you following through and not just taking my money. Uh, but, yeah, no, we you could call it well, I guess it's a short film, you know, now with Instagram and YouTube, it's a lot easier to take eight minutes of content. Just put it out into the world and, you know, say, Hey, I've got a cool story to tell. And And then next thing you know you can you can put it out there to the world, So that's what we did. Let me tell you what I rewatched it again today and it is really cool and it's really good filmmaking, and it's great if you're a golfer, and especially great if you love lines Municipal to hear about that round. I wish really Aaron captivated by it. It is wonderful work. Well, thanks. I appreciate that. Yeah. I mean, my thing is, you know, my brother was state champion golfer. And you know, Jay's a very accomplished golfer. And those were all the guys I grew up with, and I was never a very good golfer, but I always loved the game. And so this is kind of my way. You know, I think maybe I was always a storyteller, or like to watch. You know all these guys play. So you know, when I had heard about Jay's course record, 60, I was all definitely, you know, impressed with it. And as I kind of started to think about it more I wanted to. I wanted to delve in a little deeper. I wanted T O have him take me through the round. You know which, if you're like me, and you played in union growing up You know all the holes, you know, you know, 13. You can misjudge the wind and you can chunk a wedge into the water real easy. And so there's a lot of lot of different holes where you can we can have around go bad, So I kind of wanted him to just take me through that back nine and And tell me what he was thinking over each hole and You know, kind of the improbable birdie that he had on 16. You know, Birdy and Hogan's hole is always gonna be a great feeling. So, Yeah, we just kind of take you through his day and get you a little insight into what he was thinking. We've put the video up on the 15th club. Facebook page. Aaron, How do you look at the different videos? You have? I know you've got the l A golf guy. Eyes that your moniker on Instagram. Yeah. You know, I'm not. I've got to work on my nicknames, but But I am out here in Los Angeles and, uh, win quarantine happened. I make movie trailers for a living as an editor. And nobody was going to movie theaters for a little bit. So our business kind of took a step back on. I treated it as a sabbatical, and I just kind of spent two weeks with my camera out on the golf course. And you know what can we do here? So, Yeah. If you check out l, a golf guy, you'll see the wide range. Videos from good to really bad, too strange, but all golf related. That's great. And you've got a story because you're family. Used to play many on Christmas Day race always told us about you and Sam and and Ray going out there and play and even though the course is not officially open on Christmas Day, well, You know, raise always pretty good at breaking in tow places that are open. Well, there's actually a pretty funny story when we watched Ricky Williams break the rushing record. We actually did not have a ticket to that game. Ray knew one of the ticket operators and he was gonna sneak him in. But that guy wasn't there that day, so I don't know how but a 6 ft seven inch man with a 12 year old kid snuck into Royal Memorial Stadium. So yeah, we ways to think out there and play it occasionally. Well, I know he was looking for Louis Morello that day. Coach rolls. Yeah, That's E. I think got their 7 A.m. and Ray didn't get there until 11 a.m. E was Erin. I was with Ben Crenshaw today talking about then holding, you know, Ben held that record. For from the time that Randy Petri who shot it in 1959, he shot 61 at age 18. And then banned shot 61 that team 72. And so J comes along 43 years later and shoot 60. So that's a that's a pretty good piece of subject matter for you to cover. Yeah. What I loved about it, is it? You know, Once again it's another local story. You know, I always loved been story because it was kind of his beginning. You know, He's the local kid, and he goes on to win two masters and have this incredible career. And you know J stories a little bit different and that he but, you know, he's a local kid. Local star goes off his pro career. I'm sure didn't go the way he thought it would be, even though he did have some success. You know here it comes back from a pro career into amateur golf and and he set the course record and it's just great for me to have that kind of local story. It just I think with Mu Ni you have to have that local knowledge. You have to have a child who's worth of play in their toe. Go that low because you have to know what the greens air like. You have to know what the grain is like and So, Yeah, I just I've always enjoyed both those stories. For that reason. I think the next story you need to cover is something you need to follow it around and watch him shoot 82. It means so drink bloody marries. You know that's exciting. You give me the go ahead and I'll go follow out for a round of golf Anytime you don't have to convince me. Uh, Erin Sarfaraz with us, a golf content Creator best looking son of our friend Ray Benson. I call him a filmmaker because he did great work. What's your next project is gonna be golf related Or what are you doing these days after this, the film with J. Yeah. You know, we're doing some stuff out here with the S e g. A, the Southern California Golf Association. We're just trying to get more people involved in the game. So that's kind of what I'm doing out here. But, um, you know, we're looking toe come back and And do some more films about immunity. You know, we've been talking tol and so really, really. I'm just always looking for stories and you know soon as one pops up Um, that's that's where I'll be. We've got stories for you. Come on. We got stories, and I play every Friday morning with my zing Zang Group, My Bloody Mary group, and it's It's just a slice of Americana out there on Friday mornings, all races, creeds and colors ATM uni on a Friday morning between eight and 10 o'clock teeing off, it's It's really fascinating. Look at the makeup of Austin and golfers out there. It's fun. Hey, Erin. Thank you. So much for the visit Much success, please. Let's get together. Next time you're down in Austin, visiting Sam and your dad, but thank you for what you did. And again. This is on her Facebook page. 15th Club, The story of J. Reynolds sixties and it's really good thing. Thanks a bunch for being with us on Kale, BJ. Hey, guys. Thanks for having me and happy holidays, Dolly. All all right,.

Supreme Glamour, an Interview with Mary Wilson

"I'm curious. What inspired you to write this wonderful book. Wow well it was fairly easy because I had already written books about the Supreme Court so therefore you know it was one of the things. My research was not is. It didn't take as long because I have so much research from the other books. And you know writing about the supremes are by argosy and and talking about how much we had accomplished and our career. It was a pleasure to actually sit down and do something not just write about the book but to show pictures and and and the looks and what was behind the singing which was more fashion so it was really a lot of fun sort of demonstrating what we did in not just from recording and the music but how we looked at how we felt when we wore certain gown and all about the gals the gals onto another. Just like we were on to all those years and many of them are in your personal collection cracked. You have I think in the book. There's over twenty four sets of matching onstage ensembles so not just one of the dresses but all three of the dresses. And how did you go about comprising this collection? Well first of all we the Supreme Florence Ballard Donald Ross and I would always travel and when we came home from the road. We'd have to store the gallons and then of course by gowns or designers bring those new county and some of the older gallons that we make perhaps worn on television We would just store them. And they accumulated through throughout all the years right And AS Roma's is no longer in the groove Diane was no longer in the group. And then we had the seventies supremes And I became sort of like the keeper of of everything and the manager of the supremes and all those different things So I yeah. I accumulated the gowns. Because of that and whenever anyone would leave As you know a couple of them did I would end up with all these coun- because no one could take the guy no one can take the gals within the frame as a group Pays for them. And that's how I ended up with the majority of the GALS. Now all of the gals should be in my possession but The reason that I can't tell you how many I have is so many have been not just lost and I won't say stolen. You know things have just disappeared. And then some of the places we had them stored you know. I don't I couldn't figure out where everything was stored inside all these years after the supremes. I have just been trying to recover those downs. That are you know not in my collection but it really is my collection as I said when Florence Diane left everything was left to me. Also just say that even though they were left to me and I had there instead of three sometimes I ended up with just one but all three gallons were upset. Were supposedly with me. And you're still like you said you're actively tracking are able to track some of these pieces down I saw A. I'm not sure what the name of the TV show is. But it was on BBC where this woman found one of your costumes in a garage sale or something of that Lake in London. Well being about it is we've bogged down that Some of the fans have called emailed me. Mira guess what we have we we think a couple of you guys on on Ebay and really so we were trying to get together and email each other and I look at that so a couple of fans actually bought off Ebay and got them for me The ones that you're speaking of in London. The young lady was traveling in I think it was France. And she sold this Sale like a garage. We call them garage sale here there. I think the boot sales or something like that. And so she saw this beautiful gown and She went and she bought it. She didn't realize it was a supreme count so after she bought and she saw the label. It had my name on it. That's when she realized. Wow you know this is. This is This is kind of fantastic and somehow another BBC or someone got in touch with me and told me about the story so we we established my coming over to when I was coming over to England to actually The book was coming out at the time we set up a meeting and we I met her. She came to the state we spoke and she gave me the Gallon Bat. That was really. It was wonderful and it was one of our gals that we were on the Tennessee Williams special However with the stage part about that is that it was only half of the cow because the Gal was a two piece count and had a leotard like a like a bathing suit type top and then it had a skirt that came off and then was a hat to it as well so I don't know where the skirt and the hat is looking for that. Maybe that's surely will show up in the future right and you know there's another set that Really badly outfitting up in the book. I'm not sure what pages on here is a A picture of the pants that when it was food that had a coat a jacket and the pants and it was completely beaded in bugle. Beads and there were three different colors one color with gold. I think Diane's with gold and Cindy in mind were orange and it was all beaded well. The jacket disappeared and disappeared from the designer hacking panels studio so I that that when this and that so I have the pants that but I don't have a jacket so jack ass floating around someplace and it's amazing a lot of times. They ended up being in a exhibit. And so we you know. We know where certain things are. We can't find out who gave them. Yeah so but but the orange jackets have never shown up lose. Maybe someone listening tell you that was not being. I know it was in San Francisco that they

He's one the blown a few weights back up and opening attention on Iran's seven hundred. I gives him a good finish, again, a lot of his guy museum work in order, we can go live. You know, here's why I think the second win of the year is not so our one. Okay. Well, let's as wraps up loss week, let's move on to this week's they've, and we're in Detroit for the USA tour. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But back, Mitch you for the first time since two thousand nine so am expecting a really good atmosphere to Choi Gulf of this week. They've already sold out the weekends play. Yeah, it's gonna really really enthusiastic galleries on expecting this way on charter terrain on the US tour Detroit golf club parkland. Layout, tree line seven thousand three hundred and thirty four yards past seventy two is a Donald Ross design so what was his pundits. We're crushing for clues. They've never played that before. But, you know, Donald Ross his big feature of the US tool is low to his courses host, USO tour events. Most of his courses have small raised undulating in greens, so tiny targets on approach you've gotta hit the right, sections that the greens. And as I say that the cool tissues, east lake home of the torch championship for B is most famous creation. Designed Pinehurst Oakland Hills Oak Hill, Plainfield Sedgefield. Ronnie, mink. But for this particular coarsening accuracy is the key ticky on the second shore. Is that a say the targets attorney, and then oversee sound scrambling OB another start to look out because you're gonna miss you're gonna miss greens and Steve annoyed that you leave north on turn whatsoever? So we've got no coach form whatsoever. Nobody's ever played before now note, but you got a couple of locals, Jerry Garba and steward it. I think it was the other one there's a Cutler. Michigan boys, you might know it better than others. But then, no pleasure, you, you give a chance to so no everyone's coming in. Blind plan, the practice rounds. Say it's got similarities to most of the other Donald Ross Cruces in, in terms of the greens greens are very tiny. But the rough is the roughest down, but it is tree lined. I mean, it's a real, it's a tricky jigsaw puzzle to put together this week. But yeah, think of I think of crack. I want us hope so anyway, Glenn. I know you like to, to great, h tournament, which is brilliant. What do we give this mom? Comes in a seven so probably the Waco one we've had for a few weights now. See doesn't just in the world. "Munich committee, Tzilker belts, and our new sponsor Donald Ross sports where in the folks at Donald Ross made a nice contribution to the save Munich committee at the end of twenty eighteen it's time now for our Salt Lake barbecue. PGA tour leaderboard report and the action over at Capitola is going on right now. So if he tune in on the golf channel, you can certainly watch ROY McElroy who's having a great round today. He's five hundred today and tied for the lead. With Gary woodland, Gary Woodland's two hundred today, Marc leash woman who has made a double bogey and a triple bogey over at Kepler. This week is still twelve under par in those Australians certainly play well early in the year because they well. It's summer in Australia. Let's face it. We'll talk more about that. But right now. The vice president of sales and operations with discovery land. And they've got a new exciting project out and driftwood, and my buddy Brent buckman joins us on the fifteenth club brand. How are you today? Scotty, I'm doing great, thanks for having me on. It's it's exciting. We get the golf here started again from it's always fun to tune in to to the plantation and watch that event is it kinda kicks off the whole year for me golf, y you know, brand it's hard to believe it's been twenty seven years nearly Twenty-eight years since we opened the Plantation Course, Gordon Crenshaw design, that course, and we opened that in nineteen Ninety-one about the same time as we own the open the cliffs, add course over at Barton creek. And you remember that will? Yes, sir. That was fun having coach Royal there and Bob deadman. And golly there was some there are some interesting tee shots that day. I know that they just reopened that too. Didn't they? Yeah. They did we did a little touch up on that. And we're going to do a little touch up over at Capitola in the in the next month or two we're going to get started. And should have that done by the time tournament rolls around next year? Let me ask you this Brad. I love your observations on the PGA tour because you get to see the players every year at at at Madison at the big discovery charity of the who do you think we need to look at this year for having a big year? You know, what I'm really excited about Rory mcilroy. Scotty. He seems like he's recommitted himself. I knew he moved over to the United States. He lives in Florida now, and that says a lot, and I think a lot of those European guys. Have decided to make the PGA tour their number one tour, and but for for ROY I just love watching him play golf. He's so strong. I tell you when he gets his driver in play. He's awful hard to be. You know, people say that he's probably the best driver on the tour right now. I know he hits I know he hits it a mile. But you know, I was listening to Hank came this morning on his radio show. And they were talking about how good he is from seventy five yards in and they were commenting or maybe just the golf channel, Wisconsin. Play. He plays his tee shots. The correct way he will have nine or ten opportunities to play his second shot from seventy five yards in. That's pretty interesting. Yeah. It is. And speaking of playing from seventy five yards in Dustin Johnson. Really worked hard over the last few years to get his wedge game in shape, and it's made a huge difference point. I agree are polar has was telling me about Dustin in and work with the track man on on this wedge came in. And he was telling me that that Paul had never policy and that he had never seen. Anybody play that wealth from one hundred yards and. Well, you know the results prove that. You know, one guy that I think is going to have a great year. I think it's pretty obvious is bracing day Shambhu. And wow, what an interesting character. He is an interesting character. I love the idea putting with opinion, I was gonna ask you what your thoughts were on that. Well, look, we put we practice putting all day, at least until we get out on the golf course we practice putting on the putting grains with the pin. So that that's not a foreign image to players. And I think I think having the Pnn helps you a little bit. I really do. And I think Dave peltz has done some of his research on it. And certainly brass in his put the scientific research to it. So what are you gonna do? You know, I. I laugh when I say that because I was interested in what you think about that more than I do. But I was listening Marco Mira was on hang candy today. And he was saying that. Because of what he was he was paying attention to what d- Shambo was saying. And he said he was going to start out the senior tour cutting with depending on just to see how it works, and I agree with you. But at the same time, it all depends on what kind of Feick sticks are used. No question. It's gotta be the the not those hard steel ones. Like, they use in the in the US open, or I guess it. I guess the one course that I play a lot is Austin golf club. And they have hard pins. If I were playing over at Uni or at Barton creek. You know, those pins are fiberglass. I think I think the fiberglass pins would work I'd hate to try it. With those big thick heavy ones. I agree. I agree with you. Into their again to if the wind's blowing NTN to pinpoint the little bit. I would hesitate putting with the pain and in that case too. Well, yeah, I think if it's if it's bent over there's there's some issues with with that you certainly want want to take it out, you know, on a normal day. We'll see Brandel Chamblee saints to thank that. In the next couple of years. You'll see seventy five percent of the players keeping the pin in. That's interesting. Baddies interesting. I know the role changes have gone into effect. And and I know there's been a little bit of talking to PGA tour about it. But I guess I guess the whole idea is trying to simplify speed the game up a little bit which I think it'll probably do. Well, I think keeping the pin indefinitely speed the game. That's for sure. If you're forty feet away in your playing partners in a bunker shot. He hits the bunker shot at beating go ahead and putt and keep the game moving on. There's no question about that. Which which which will be helpful if it works. You bet. Let me ask you this hair things at at driftwood. Know what we're gonna get the golf course started next week. We're putting all our self up right now, or they will be first thing this week and. Hopefully, we'll start digging digging some lakes out we're going to have to we have to go to lakes. I and I think those will start by the fifteenth of this month. So we're excited about getting something going out there, and that's a pretty piece of property and for those that don't know, it's right? Catty corner from the salt lick, and and then some of your residential lots are actually right next to the Salt Lake, and our friend Scott Roberts says he's had a beautiful piece of property in his family for a long time out there. We're really excited about getting going Scotty. I know there's gonna be a lot done in in two thousand nineteen and it's exciting to get things underway. But it's also unbelievable. I mean, your your your comment about being the twenty eighth year of the Capitola? Plantation Course is incredible. Yeah. You think well, I guess we'll be playing driftwood twenty eight years from now. So we can look back on that. Still. Will. I'm not worried about. Be playing up. I know that. Well, that's for sure. Well, let me put you on the spot rat quick before you go UT's play in West Virginia tonight. I know west Virginia's got a big man that probably is not gonna play and we were lucky against Kansas state to have their best players out. But we you know, we won the game. So we did what we had to do is going to happen tonight. I think Texas, I watch I watch West Virginia way. I think was Texas Tech a little bit and. They're not gonna have a great season. But you know, one of the things that impresses me about Texas is our side. And I hope I hope we always I mean in the last this whole first part of the season. We've we've really outsides everybody we played except except for a few teams. And I just hope if we can take advantage of our size difference. I think we're going to be do. Well this season. I hope we can play a little bit more of an out game getting those guys. Yeah. Like Sierra offense, a little more active. I know that the games we've won like North Carolina specially. Travis Roach just went off in that game with thirty two points one. If one of our guards plays well. We're gonna we're gonna win a bunch of games. But we've got to have the guards perform we've got the size. We know we're gonna we're gonna rebound with anybody in the country, or at least, I think I agree. Yeah. Well, I'm hoping we'd get off to a good start. Well, I enjoyed playing golf with over the holidays. It lands and we're going to keep doing that and twenty nineteen and thanks for joining in. You betcha. Scotty. It's always a pleasure. Thank you guys so much for all you do keep an Austin in front on the on the Gulf side, and and really appreciative from a McCall standpoint. Well, we appreciate your support of the fifteenth cleven we're going to have you on. I think you've set the record for most appearances now. We're going to have you back a bunch in twenty nineteen. Well, thanks. He's got sure appreciate it. And all you do. Thank you, take care. That's Brent buckman the vice president of sales for the discovery land company her doing the development driftwood, a new piece of the Austin Goth scene. Ed Clements will join us when we get back on the fifteenth club. And this is the fifteenth club in our two of sports Saturday on KOA BJ the Todd and Don show, John good morning. Good morning, boys. How're you doing fine? Thank you. John. Real quick couple of things. I drove a truck for a living from San Antonio Houston up to Dallas. And I've lived here for years and listen to every morning show. You guys are by far the best morning, man. Thank you, one of the reasons. I love your show. I don't always agree with you and watch your in. Yeah. I want your input. I mean, I watched another side of it. And I I you guys get a fair side of it. And I think, wow, you know, I didn't think about it that way. That's cool. Don, your your country, bumpkin intellect and Todd your rape here like with. Thank you, very much, John bumpkin intellect. Well, he knows very well. What does that mean? I'm folksy. Yes. You haven't been on folksy? Yes. You are. I see. I like folks I love folks. It was just twenty minutes to go guy called you a disgrace to Austin country bumpkins ever. And now, you're a country bumpkin no country bumpkin intellect where it was his. The interim manager of San Diego that wasn't ideal. But it was a great experience for great experience. And yeah, it's been it's been fun. So we'll doesn't matter where you go. Any of your ex players all they do is just talk positive value because you are the man, and you've taught them, well, you can tell you the truth, you can laugh all you want. But you know, I know and awesome. Neela continue to teach me a lot. I'm just trying to trying to do whatever. I can you know. Make their day a little bit better coaches coaches don't win. This thing players do getting players to feel like a million bucks and get them feel like they're a little better than they had been in the past and open up opportunities. So they can see how they can get better than that's that's a kind of a cool cool gig. So I'm thankful grateful. No doubt. Like you. Yeah. Yeah. Well, hey. You had no business. Every big leagues.
