"It doesn't really do anything for me. The worse it's you're pretty bringing back the same roster with a worse coach. I don't really know how that moves you need 11. No. It doesn't. It doesn't at all. And now Elliott Friedman had said on his 32 thoughts podcast after a game 6 cup finally said that he was talking about the lightning assistance interviewing for jobs, Jeff halpern and Derrick lalonde. You've mentioned halpern a ton and the past bunch of weeks. You turned a lot of people onto that idea. And Friedman mentioned that he didn't the brews are going to do second round interviews this current week. They could interview those guys, but I don't think they're the overwhelming favorites. That was kind of the vibe he gave. Like they might talk to them, but might not, you know, wouldn't surprise them, but it's not like overwhelming favorites or anything. The tough part is, you know, who also needs a new head coach right now. The Detroit red wings. And you know who runs the detour at red wings? Stevie why? And who do you think hired?.

"With New York or you look at how Colorado had got devonta for what was essentially two second round picks. Kadri trade. All these teams have accelerated or taken a big step forward off of being creative, identifying guys that they can target that they can add to this roster. After you're going to have to do if you're the bruins, it's going to just be spending away into contention. You try doing that last year, did not work out and now you don't have any fiscal flexibility to do that. So it's going to require downstream to be trying to hit a home run with a couple of moves, right? I don't think even if let's say you free up a whole bunch of cap space, you trade. Craig Smith and Mike Riley and all these guys, and then you just sign kadri. That's great. You got a one scene of two C, but you still need scoring depth, right? It's whether that's finding guys with value, like a mason marchman or something like that, or other guys that can impact this for us that aren't going to require you to allocate 5 million 6 million in addition to whatever, let's say, a guy like casual cassia, it's going to require Don Sweeney and his staff to do a pretty deep dive and really kind of get creative here and have we seen that in the past. I think the last time you saw like don't swim, you get super creative was when he added John Moore's contract to the Linton deal. We were like, I think a mud data forward. Good forward thinking move. What's another domino and nothing happened? So a little concerning because again, it's not nearly as easy. It's tough in and of itself to build a contender, but when you look at kind of the parameters and the restrictions in place with this team right now, just in terms of the cap space, makes it that much tougher. See, I have a weird feeling..

"But I do, like, I'm looking at the 2023 free agents. By the way, this is subject to change because guys will sign extensions. And the popular thing always is when you're in one off season to say the next drop season is so much better. Next off season, that's the one. But I'm just looking earlier at 2023. And some of the notable centers, Ryan O'Reilly will be a free agent. Then again, I don't know what he's a little older. I don't know if that's like, that's not like a long-term fix, but it is someone that, I don't know, maybe you go after. Nathan McKinnon will not be on the free agent market and I think by then, but he is a free agent currently that off season. Dylan Larkin, Bo horvat, JT Miller is another. It's really the only notable ones that I think are worth saying. Jonathan tabes, you want tapes there, they fixed it. But I do think that, again, you look at, you look at next off season is potentially one that you can make those kind of moves with money coming off the books. And I do think you probably have to you'd like to resign David poster Mark. That would probably be probably be a good thing unless you, unless you really go like full on rebuild. And by the way, before we get to the quick hits, some of the actual bruins player news that we've got in the past couple days, you know, one thing would create cheap, you know, Sweeney mentioned how posh knocks basically going to be recruiting creature back. I think Craig is good for one more year, but I do think you do have to try to find actual long-term fixes within the next year. If you could find a way to get creature to come back for next season, perfect. Great. But after next season, I'm not sure that's like a viable option. Yeah. Maybe the same as bergeron coming back. We're again, I think at the very least it gives you a chance to be in the mix, which again. You throw shit to the wall when you get into the playoffs and who knows what happens. They got one last great run in them. That's good. And at the very least, that gives you again more time to either develop prospects. If you have bergeron creature back, you also don't have to give up a blue chip prosper to get a guy like scheifele or Dubois or anything like that. So you retain your talent, younger players come up the system, you save more commitments so that way when a lot of it gets cleared off the books next year, you can spend however you want to spend it. So yeah, at the very least, it's kind of the best of both worlds. If both those guys come back in terms of you at least have one more run where you can have the gang back together and it gives you just more time to maybe not delay the inevitable. It gives you more time to reassess what the next step is because certainly those decisions have to be made. You just keep delaying the inevitable. It's like Wiley, it's like wile E coyote when he runs off the cliff. And he keeps on running out in a straight line. He doesn't realize until he looks down that he falls. That's what the brooms are doing. Just run straight off, keep on chugging across until they get to like 2024 and see what happens. Yes..

"So, again, some of it also falls on what personnel you have in place and what prospects you identified and brought up there because again, who knows maybe Sidney turns the corner, but I look at that as a prime example of the guy on TikTok that goes like, it's like, what do you expect in there? What do you expect? You're so young, Connor. With us kids. Terrific. But it's true. Yeah, exactly. But I consider him kind of a lost cause. Do you expect him to, after three years of us hearing that he, this is the year for him, do you expect in 2022, 23 that he's going to be a top 6 center? They might need him. They might be like entire need of him to be, but he's not actually a top 6 center. Like that ship has sailed. And again, like his value, by the way, if you wanted to trade him also has plummeted. And we talked about this for the last two trade deadlines where like, that's a guy who you should have traded maybe two or three years ago when you were pumping him up to be the next bergeron, but he isn't actually the next version. He's not even close. So again, I think it comes down to and that's another thing. That's personnel. Like these younger guys who Cassidy is at a short leash with, haven't exactly been terrific. So again, that's personnel. That's personnel. Speaking of young guys, one thing that Neely was asked about on Thursday was about a rebuild. You know, would you opt for a rebuild? He did not sound too pleased to do it. He doesn't sound like he really wants to, but he did kind of allude to the fact that teams that go for championship every year kind of catches up to you at some point and you do have to have an eye for the future. But again, I think he even mentioned this as well. They have good younger players on this team. You know, whether it be mcavoy, swayman, you know, even past or not. You have.

"Starts where the game starts. I'm taking your Boston accent to you. I'm gonna have it now. To be mine, I'll just use it. It's like a little, it's like The Little Mermaid. You can switch voices. Here's there was actually a quote that came from cannulae today that I haven't seen anybody tweet about yet. Maybe I just haven't seen it, which, again, I don't spend all my day on Twitter. People think I do. I spend a little bit, but not all of it. So maybe I missed this. But nearly was asked about young players being afraid to make mistakes. And he gave a really interesting answer. He said, there's no question players are afraid to make mistakes, especially younger players because you know you hear about it. And that was one of those players that I had to learn and grow. I heard about it too. And I made mistakes as a younger player, but you can't worry about not getting back out there. I think that's one of the things we have to kind of change. I think when younger players make mistakes, they're worried they're not going to play the next game while that game is still going on. That is a very subtle, not so subtle shot at Bruce Cassidy. And that's why I think that if they were to move on from Cassidy, I think if bergeron does not come back, they understand that they're going to have to put younger players in positions that maybe they aren't fully ready for. You know, in the sense that maybe Johnny beecher is a top 9 center next year when maybe he should use another year in the AHL or Fabian lysell as in a higher role than maybe his development would put him on track for. And let's face it, Cassidy's been pretty quick to pull the plug on younger players in the past. I don't think that that's like a secret around here. Because again, he's played for, he's coached a team that is trying to win a cup consistently. So, you know, he sends his message to younger players like that. I would not be surprised if that was a reason that they let Cassidy go. In the sense that they felt that that was a bigger issue than systematic changes in the offense. Because again, you can teach that, but can you really, I think they might look at it like can you look at gasoline and say, hey, can you be easier on younger players? Can you put, you know, mercury off in the lineup after he made a huge mistake in the last game or something like that. And again, I also kind of look at that and go, I don't know if that's enough to switch a coach, but it is, again, you mentioned hard truths. And then it kind of goes back to, you know, should neilly and Sweeney be making those decisions with the team transitioning forward like this. It's a tough call. Right. And it's also one of those ones where you can also very much look back and merit that as well if you're from a management perspective, right? And again, does Cassidy have a short leash with young players? Yeah, of course. And then there are plenty of times where I'm sure some brewing strains would like to see more of a guy, younger player..

"And it's funny you mentioned the trade deadline. I think that's an interesting one because again, imagine if hampus lindholm was not did not have the upside that he has. And you went out and just got a defenseman signed into this long-term deal and it's like, we were lame duck GM. That's like, you know, blowing the place up before you leave. It's like the Joker walking away from the hospital. And he's like pressing the button. You know, it's like sign Nick Richie long-term, boom, boom, like blowing the place up. But you know, you even, you hinted at it at the end there. Like, do you want this crew to be the one to lead this team forward? And I think it's a valid question. It's a really valid question. And you know, again, I don't swing you mentioned on Wednesday, you know, we mentioned bergeron only comes around so often. And you know, it's so hard to find a guy like that and all that stuff. But you've had years to prepare for life after bergeron. Like, this is not something first one didn't just turn 37 and, you know, oh, we want to retire now. This has been the same with Chara. Like we've said, you know, this team took way too long and did not have a plan in place to replace the Dano Chara. And inventory crew. And it's kind of happened in the same with krejci. And it's happening the same with bergeron if you eat decides to go. And that leads me to the point of this entire off season, I think revolves around one thing, and it is is bergeron coming back. Because the bergeron comes back, as we've said, you can find ways to do some quick fixes and you bring the crew back, you try it one more time, right? You get everybody healthy. You hope the season goes well. I imagine Bruce Cassidy is still your coach, right? And bergeron basically runs that room anyway. But bergeron retires and you're in a whole new place. Then then maybe you do need a new voice.

"To poke the bear episode 96. Number 96 Connor, no more players. Done. Let someone becomes number 96, which would be pretty incredible. But I'm a Marino ski. That is Connor Ryan Connor. How you doing? I'm doing okay. How you doing? Doing okay. I'm not a grave and doing okay. I can take it. I'm doing well, doing well. You know, I think bruins fans are not maybe doing so hot. And I think I'm going to infer that. Why are you saying that? I don't want to introduce someone. I don't want to infer for people how they feel. I shouldn't be there. They're spokesperson. But I'm going to be. Because I do think people are upset or annoyed on this Thursday afternoon when we record this after every exit interview has been done with players. Bruce Cassidy, Don Sweeney, and today on Thursday, this cam Neely. And people are a little upset. And I don't blame them because they've been saying this for a while. Dawn Sweeney spoke on Wednesday, Camille spoke Thursday. And basically confirmed, we'll start the show off with this. The Sweeney will be back. Don Sweeney will be back as general manager. And not just for one year, but they're going to try to try to hammer out a pretty solid extension. I don't think it's going to be, I think it would be definitely more than one year. I don't think you're just going to be like, oh, here's another year. Let's try this again. What is your initial reaction to that? I mean, I'm not necessarily surprised by it. I think you could you could look and see it his situation, whether it be kind of his status as, I guess, kind of a lame duck GM going into this season or kind of the valid criticism he had and be like, all right, well, there's over time to make a move. It'd be now, which again, I think that's a very valid decision, but in terms of I'm viewing it from the bruins perspective and management, which I'm sure will be talking about quite a bit in this episode and probably in the weeks, months ahead. From their perspective, it seems like it's one thing where they want to see what Sweeney can do in terms of forging that kind of next chapter for this organization, which is kind of a scary thought. Again, I think Sweeney, it's one of those ones where there's obviously the criticism is there in terms of the drafting development, not supplementing this core in place with adequate talent. And then you can also make the argument that he's done a good job in terms of retaining talent with below market deals. Acquiring guys like lindholm, which very well could have I think maybe saved his job..

"Twitter, likelihood, Sweeney's resigned. I would say it's fairly high as I just said. I don't see him not getting resigned. Just given again, if this was an outside journal manager, if this guy, they hired off the street. A few years ago, and then it's different. But again, he's been in the organization, knows it, like former Bruin. I don't see them moving on from him. Jacob asked for a year by year oral history of the bruins dating back all the way to 1924, Jacob. Let's start right now. We'll do it straight through. No. Hell yeah, that'd be so fun. I podcast, which is an oral history. Just going through the hockey reference page of every single thing that happened every year. Milt Schmidt scored this game and we get all into those things, but yes, very interesting history will not be going through it in full. They usually try to keep the episodes between like 30 and 40 minutes. That would be much longer. Much, much longer. And I think there's some years recently that people wouldn't want to hear normal history of springing back to bad memories. DK score fantasy points. Asks, should the bruins be selling instead of buying? I just don't see any addition giving the bruins a good shot at the cup. At the valid point. So here's my counter to this because I think DK, I think you're right. And Gavin asked this on YouTube community as well. So both of you guys. I think you have a real point. You know, if you had JT Miller to this lineup, are you now better than the Maple Leafs or the lightning? Probably not. No, I don't think your favorite against those guys. And again, my prediction for the second half is that the bruins upset the pants in the first round. I believe that's still gonna happen. But against Tampa is JT Miller like set you over them, I don't think so. You know, getting lindholm, hit fist Linton on the back end or, you know, a depth guy on D does that set you above those teams? No..

"Think people outside the market see, oh, you know, they make the playoffs every year, you know, astronaut and sort of some of these guys have developed and Brandon Carlo and Charlie mcavoy and people kind of leave out the 2015 draft and Frederick and beecher and some of those things and some of the free agent signings like badass. And so it's an interesting case. You know, I had said back after the bruins lost the islanders in June that Sweeney probably wasn't the guy going forward. They needed somebody knew they could draft better. Now, the draft, this past summer, was actually pretty good. I think that's they did well in that draft. They picked the best guys. They did not look for toughness and grit. They did with Frederick and guys like beecher. They instead went for the best available, especially with lysol. I think that was a terrific first round pick. And I don't think that's one of the, and even if I saw those in pan out, I don't think you can look back and go, oh, the bruins blew that pic. Like, no, that was the best guy available. Hey, that's a lot. So, you know, I don't think they're headed for rebuild right now. Again, you've got mcavoy locked up. You got Carlo locked up. You have swayman in net. You have all market net for a few more years. Up front, you got marchand for a little while. The issue, the hole is, what do you do about down the middle? That's the big question. Again, Steve nika hasn't really panned out to be a top 6 center in the NHL. Frederick, same thing, beecher. Watch the watch Michigan a little bit. It's tough to tell,.

"And I'll come into the bruins beat on CLS media. My name is Evan Marino ski and today this is not a normal bruins beat. This is no guests. We record as you guys know on Mondays. And Monday because of president's day and the bruins being at 1 p.m.. Made for very tough scheduling. I also have NCAA work to do tonight. So there was no real guest who would be able to slot in with the times I was able to do. So I'm actually recording this between intermissions or between periods between the first and second period. Of the avalanche and bruins up one, nothing. But that doesn't matter. Because I was actually kind of happy when this idea came to me. I was like, hey, I haven't done a Q&A with everybody in a while. So nice to be able to do a Q&A. And questions you asked. There were lots of questions. I put it up on Twitter. I put it up on YouTube community, which I was like, oh, you know, I want to make sure I get enough questions. I got way more questions than I ever thought I would. So I appreciate the passion and the questions. And I got to everybody's question, even if stay overlapped, it will get answered. So I hope you guys are having a great week. So yes, I love doing these questions. And they all kind of center around the trade deadline. Go figure, right? Go figure. Right around the trade deadline, but some of these are future things. Future questions. Some are these are current ones. Some of them are lineup questions. They're all pretty interesting. I actually like these questions a lot. There were no like, this again, no RAS questions, obviously, is retired, but so lots of good stuff. We'll dive right in. We will dive straight in. And again, I have it on my notebook. So for people watching on YouTube, I'm holding up. I have a notebook with all the questions. I have it all written down. I'm a big handwritten note guy. I don't know. Typing on the computer to me doesn't do the same. So having it in a notebook, it makes it feel more kind of organized..

"So it's like it's almost more frustrating that Don Sweeney has an address this team properly, like no matter what it takes. Even if they even if they don't, or they didn't win a Stanley Cup, I would only be satisfied that Sweeney tried, right? It seems like he hasn't really tried. I know we've got hall in last year and that was a big boost. But then David clearly to you left. So it's like maybe if you got preachy some hope, you know, years back, we were going to be having this conversation. Yeah, Taylor hall could not have come not a worse time. But it would have been nice to see him come a little sooner. I mean, I think that was sort of the plan with Rick Nash. Back in the day, I think Rick Nash was sort of supposed to be that guy, and he was during the regular season, but then obviously had the concussion issue. So I always looked at Nash as they tried with him. You know, that was like the guy who was supposed to be next to him. I think they imagined maybe backus. Obviously with the brusque they definitely did. I mean, they just kept missing. I mean, I don't pin Nash on Sweeney. I was concussions. Hall, again, worked out. Like I think they tried at certain times, but it just was too little too late, or it wasn't enough. So I just, the whole creature thing, I mean, it is so obvious. I think you mentioned this last episode and I know we both agree on this. They miss him so much. Yeah. Everybody misses dame first please. And I look at the power play and how much he's missed there. I look at even the second unit when he was on the second unit. He helped out a ton there. I mean, I look at Taylor hall. And again, this is nothing against Charlie Coyle. And we've said this like coil's been fine. I don't have any issue with Coyle. He had a sickle against the sabers the night before Thanksgiving. That was nuts. I was a snipe. But I just, you miss crazy. And I just look at a guy like Martian and as you said, this is the same stuff we're talking about every year, right? All the top line scoring what your goal is. Oh, the fourth line is shutting down the opposing team top line. Oh, wait, there's no secondary scoring. It's the same stuff. And before we get into potentially some additions that can make us work a quarter end of the season now. We are a quarter of the season. It is officially time to start maybe speculating about some trades..

"And welcome in to poke the bear episode 46. Nice and interesting number to have on a day, like today. 47, who was number 47 on the Bruins. Hm. Who was the old? All I got it was it? Evan was Torey Krug. All right yeah I remember him. I do oh the Bruins could have used him a little bit off. Anyways, this is Evan Marriott off ski. That's Connor and a Boston Sports Journal. Connor. How we doing Evans? I'm alive? Cuz anything happened in the past twenty-four hours. It's even import all interesting. I mean, I don't think anything's happened that the Bruins have any play epic. I mean, I think there's a new cycle trader event so when we will talk about that. But yeah, when you know, we're not, we're not doing this no. But, but yeah, it is based on the reaction. We've got from Twitter and just the general, I think a hive-mind of Bruins fans. I'm like, what people doing that? Well I know very Bleak out there, it's code red. It is very code, red and five someone DMV this morning about an ankle thing and was like, actually I wouldn't be and I'm like, not now dead. No, no, no, no, no. We have a long while until that becomes like a thing we have to talk about. Not now please. Please not right now. This is one of those times, and we have a lot to talk about episode, and we'll have a lot to talk about this offseason. So apologies, if you don't get in a super specifics on certain players because we don't long time to discuss, krejci's contracts and Rask's contracts and I thought, you know, this is one of those times when Bruins Twitter and Bruins fans in general are against sounding the alarm, they're pissed. Its extremes, never want to see Rask back, never want to see krejci bag. Never want to see this one back in that way, back to blow the whole thing up, but there's one, little big reaction that I'm kind of, on board with and it's none of those wage of those I want rats back and we'll create you back. I think, you think the same, and we'll get to that later. But there is one thing that I'm not fully opposed to and it's the status of John Sweeney's general manager. I think that is. So when I was looking at this series, I had a crazy thought last night, let me like, you know, your best thoughts that you like 2 in the morning when you're like if you like you can open up a new part of your brain and I realize what were the two biggest issues in the series for the Bruins against the Islanders? Number one was no scoring after the top line and number two was Effectiveness and size and depth of your defense. And I said, hm, I think I've seen that problem before with the Bruins a few times and at some level obviously it's on the players, like it's on the players. We both said this roster was better than twenty nineteen s, she went deeper the whole nine yards with that, but at some level, it does go upstairs to Sweeney and I just look at like, I I actually don't put the offensive issues on sweetie because you went out and got a job..

"Least I checked out before we play together. I don't think you need one game. So 8 to 2. So to me I look at that and say well there's your top six at least 4 to start. I know Joey Joe McDonald tweeted that wage. It would be Hallberg Christian Smith. I believe I think he tweeted that and to me, I just think that that doesn't make a ton of sense. I think it just makes more sense of a pasta shop on the right side. What do you think? Yeah. I mean, I I think when you look at just the way the the fit is I think if you're able to balance out the that top six and have Parts on another line and have that sniveling together cuz it seemed like that's a great fit as you said, that'd be an ideal situation. That being said, I think what Paul brings his team, especially in terms just as ability to create those High danger looks as it gets Cassidy a whole bunch of different options that turns you right like if they roll out Marsh and Bergeron pastrnak and Smith shot first guy who gets into grade a ice with Hall. It's only getting anyone going to be clamoring like, oh what the hell the Bruins doing it for like Craig Smith with the Taylor Hall and you can even make the same argument that wage. You know, Don Sweeney said that it could be a situation where Jake debrusk is over there on the on the right side, you know, it's not his ideal position. But hey, he's a guy who likes to get a lot of chances off the rush. I think even if he's out of position, he probably pretty happy if he gets some odd-man rushes with a guy like Taylor Hall considering his ability to find guys. So, you know, I think Reagan has stopped there with down at the table Hall experiment probably with him and Smith or depressed to start it, but it gives gassy a lot more options. It's not like, you know, we're hitting a situation where it's you know, always a second line with Alec Carson Coleman going to work right? It's all right. It's going into GameStop another cup with Coleman on the right side of crazy. Yeah. Is Taylor Hall going to elevate. I got like Craig Smith or Jake debrusk you down on both those guys can do pretty well with him. So even if maybe an ideal situation is just if possible my kids the ground running with with Taylor Hall's a great scenario in terms of just wage. The top six Cassidy has.

You give a third of 2nd and unders if you are cool again was never going to get his shot here, you know every month to him to probably go to Seattle, at least I did and get his shot there and instead he gets in Buffalo now to me I just look at this as the best case scenario is so much better than the worst case scenario is the worst case scenario. Isn't that bad? I mean like you filled holes on this team without giving much up and as a GM, I think that's the best thing you can do. I said this to you last night. I've never seen dogs sweet, you know, someone's life over reading go from like 14% to 94% less fan of like 30 minutes, but it did because again like and and we'll get into this where Taylor Hall should fit in this lineup cuz I think we agree Mike Riley should be a table for Thursday at least especially right now number one might be talking right now. Maybe run to that power play Tuesday night but or tonight when people listen but let's let's get into this a little bit off for a guy like Taylor Hall. I think he's he's going to play with crazy to start. I think that that's pretty obvious. He's going to play with David krejci to start now to me and you mentioned this to me there on the like, oh, well, we recorded or after the high danger passes. Yes, he's second in the NHL correct with the first first first in the NHL with us for high danger passes wage. For for those who don't maybe understand I danger you means you're just getting pucks to high danger areas. So really comes down to if you're playing with good guys, you play with good players. They're going to finish those chances obviously in Buffalo that not a lot them. By the way, you can see middle sad. It's not a that's not an established sniper. If you look at some of the guys he was dragging around on those lines. How about the Buffalo just like getting killed off those press conferences on Monday morals. Well, and again pretty much Kevin Adams speaking afterwards is more or less. Like maybe fleece isn't the right term. But with Taylor Hall surely, you know incorporating that no move Claus think I might have the hands tied, right? That's I'm sure who knows if you know tail he'll didn't have a first-round. Do you have a movement Claus would the capitals or someone who gave up that first pick where they move it for a guy like Taylor Hall. You think it's a possibility, right? So yeah. Yep. It kind of stuck with yeah, the Islanders like they were kind of been stuck between a rock and a hard place in terms of getting returned. So Buffalo continues to take owls. I mean, it's it is it is truly run out of there and it's not cuz again, they they they really had no choice with this. This was the only deal they could make a call only one come here. It also sounds like he wanted to sign here long-term in the off-season and it was Sweeney and the Bruins who said no way that we're not doing long-term here and even you know, he just recording..

"Big of a movie buff anyways, but the people are waiting for our deadline reaction from there. They don't want to hear The DaVinci Code or or some people might want to hear about UMass, but I'll save that off my biggest deadline take away. Cuz all the deadline has gone and passed obviously, everyone coming in was saying is Don Sweeney alive. What is going on? Ironically enough? This is probably his best choice deadline as GM considering he did not mortgage the future the Bruins again just to recap only gave up a second a third and twenty twenty-two and Anders Bjork for Taylor Hall Curtis Lazar Mike Riley, but we are both huge, you know, just looking at the numbers Mike Riley is a steal the fact that they got that for third round next. So do you think this is the best daunting a deadline yet? I mean, I think it's up there in terms of I think it all starts with just the return you got and I think maybe you'll That the trade deadline head of 2019 where you get coil and Johansson and obviously the end result you get to the game seven of us and the cops. So it remains to be seen how far this team goes off that impacts them. But even if we kind of hit on this during a quick reaction video we had but even if alcohol doesn't pan out and curves are just a replacement-level full Mike Riley's great kind of play driving numbers dropped down quite a bit going from off of what to Boston, you know, those things don't work out which gives them at least one of them's going to hit. If not, hopefully get all of them. You still have to imagine that you know, how do you find like really detract in a situation based on just what the return was right? It's you're not giving up a first-round pick which you know, it's not supposed to be a particularly, you know deep draft at least compared to what twenty twenty-two is, but considering that there's been so few Scouts and buildings. Yep. Considering has been a few against we able to watch these prospects you could very well have the case where a guy who's made me a top ten top 15 pick slips down to the twenties or you know, the the late twenties based on just the fact that Scout's haven't been at too many games this year..

Should Don Sweeney Be on the Hot Seat?
"You think that. Don sweeney on the hot seat or he should be the hot seat. I don't think this year i think right now. It's i think. I agree that it's kinda the lowest of the low right now in terms of where the team is up. But also you know. I don't wanna make excuses Cut down to the fact you know regardless of what teams dealing with. You shouldn't have to have a third period. Rallied to beat the sabres and as much people wanna complain about. Those two goals getting called off in the last minute of the game against the devils. Let's be let's be. Let's face it like you shouldn't be in untarred. Anyway against a team like the doubles. Be it the fact that mackenzie black wedding has an eight six. Two eight nine two. Save percentage i think against Everything except the bruins where he has a nine six to save percentage The fact that you power play a can't score against the devils waiting twenty eight in the league in. pk you know that's an issue. That's compounding the problems. The fact that even the power play going from elite still pretty good is not good enough which is show you the margin of error that this team has when they're scoring in You know producing at all really

"And we're here with conor ryan connor. What is up doing. Well how you doing. i'm good. i'm doing well. Let's say it's a nice. It's a nice day out. It's it's a nice time of year. Is we like to say but times for the bruins not so much unfortunately Times are just not as not as good as people might want them to. I think this weekend this past weekend might have been the most low. They've bed because even the three two win over the sabres was not one that caused me to be happy. It was like oh. My god almost lost to the sabres who have now lost seventeen in a row and then you get shut out by the devils again the next day so to me i look at this and we'll jump right in. It will dive right things. You'd never want to overreact right. And we have both heard all year a lot of people saying this is on sweeney. all that fun stuff. And i've i've i've held off deep discussion on that until this weekend until i saw this weekend because they said this weekend looks to me like maybe it's time we start asking the question so i will i will. I let you offer your opinion. Do you think that. Don sweeney on the hot seat or he should be the hot seat. I don't think this year i think right now. It's i think. Could this offseason be pivotal for Don Sweeney?
"Could be like if we want to go there this could be the second most pivotal offseason. Don Sweeney's tenure is Jim Morrison would be I mean, yeah, we obviously know what the the first one was some hits some misses I'll defend on Thursday and say people forget the meal music trade was was very solid but should it be his want this could be kind of the offseason wear off he shakes it up and there's been there's been little shit shaking in the Don Sweeney tenure really other than that 2015 offseason where he kind of came in and moved Hamilton moved Lucic got the Draft Picks 6 in the first two rounds. We all know the story there but dead. This could be like the next kind of version of that obviously not as big but like if you look at where the Bruins are, I mean what happens with Krug? What happens with Chara those to move up itself are pretty franchised altering. And then from there there's obviously been the the Rask rumors. I I wouldn't be surprised if something happened with Rask because we we should never be surprised by anything that happens with Rask anymore. And this point that's the case. This was like a weird enough year and obviously with it happened in the the postseason like There's so much uncertainty surrounding that player that that nothing that happens with him with surprise me. So yeah between Krug we think departing who knows what happens with Chara. I think the flu tone made a really great point that was sort of an obvious point that we've all been kind of sleeping on like it is possible that Chara reaches free agency and who knows if the Bruins have or anything with him maybe a team jumps in and they're like, hey, man, you're the missing piece like this is your what what we need and maybe yeah, maybe he just maybe he departs so possibilities are plentiful and I haven't even gotten to the Do they make like a real hockey trade? Do they trade Jake debrusk? They trade Brandon Carlo. My pie-in-the-sky thing that will never happen is like they find a way to make Carlos the centerpiece of a Patrick line a deal which financially and for other reasons just does not seem like something they would do but oh my God, I have been banging the table to get more scores on this team and if they found a way even if it's losing Carlo in an offseason where you also lose Krug, like imagine if I thought they had Patrick lyonnet David pastrnak and like imagine having three of the best goal scorers in the planet on your team
