"A criminal is trying to get out of town but in order to do so he needs a whole lot of money. And what do you do when you are a criminal who needs a whole lot of money. You turn to other criminals in order for them to help you out with this now. The double edged sword that exists with this proposition is that muir turn into criminals for help. And here's a little secret. I think it is only fair to tell everybody when you turn to people with loose morals for help with a whole ton of money things are not gonna go executive plan and there are not going to be a lot of people that you can trust now for the characters in these types of movies. It is a complete headache. But as audience members it builds a very compelling story and sets up a lot of suspenseful moments and that is what you can expect out of the film no sudden move and to just take a moment to comment on the composition of this film. You can really tell that they were going. For the grimy gritty feel just by the way shot it is just another one of the many effective ways. Filmmakers bring you into the world of cd criminal underground and another way they do. That is by filling out a cast with tremendous actors. Like i said earlier. Don sheetal is the main character in this story but he is not the only one bringing star power to the film. Venancio del toro. Also in the movie. And doing benicio del toro things where you think he is actually a hardened criminal which he has a long history of portraying going all the way back to his breakout performance in the usual suspects. Also you have david harbour. Making his second appearance on this podcast. But instead of playing a russian version of captain america in this film. He plays a crooked accountant. And of the su- characters. I'm really not sure which of them is more dangerous. Not the fund doesn't stop there as jon. Hamm is in the movie as detective. Joe finney i assume he is the one trying to unravel all this and bring these criminals to justice and a little. Bit of aside now jon. Hamm is currently filming a movie in boston and a lot of it is being filmed right in my neighborhood. So who knows. I could be within a mile of jon hamm at the time of recording. This podcast that doesn't really mean anything but it's cool to think about and is it really a crime movie without having someone like ray liotta in it easy to this day is probably best known for his involvement in the martin scored says he filmed goodfellas and much like in that movie in no sudden move. He plays a manipulative criminal. Who tries to pull the strings and much like henry hill. It bites him in the ass. Another notable actor involved in the film is kieran. Culkin the brother of mccully kalkin and for those of you who are not as familiar with who he is. He was the character fuller in the home alone movies. And that was kevin's bespectacled cousin. Who had an affinity for wetting the bed in no sudden move however he plays a very violent criminal and his exploits lead to the involvement of the police in this film damage fuller but the big names. Don't stop there as brennan. Frazier is also on the film. And it's kind of crazy to think that in the early two thousands. He was probably one of the biggest movie stars on the planet. Thanks to his involvement in the mummy franchise as well as making a name for himself in dramatic roles such as school ties and crash. He really did seem to fall off the face of the earth and for a while..

Do all the fun stuff that they encourage you to do because it helps us continue to talk about movies. Lawn cannot let you get out of here before you give us some sort of streaming movie recommendation. Something in theaters. You're like something that is available to people in their homes. What is something that don harris says everybody out. There needs to watch my absolute favorite show of this year. So far i know a lot of other people have already probably recommended to you. I'm going to add my voice in the choir hacks on. Hbo max with jean smart the funniest show that i've seen this year. It has a lot of heart great characters. It's another one of those things we were talking about this with ever getting. Where every role is somebody. Funny there's no like throwaway even if you only get like two scenes of the whole season they put somebody hilarious in the part. I i really. I really enjoyed it. But it's about stand up right. And so i just triggered by shows is like a joan rivers type. Legendary vegas comedian. She hires hannah. i'm bender. Who's this young comedy writer to come in and like right jokes for her. I don i feel like it's more realistic depiction of the world of comedy than say punchline or some of the great set of films of history. But who can say. I'm not a pro so he'd have punchline. We we need to do. An episode is right about much. I bet you're right. Whatever it is that it's probably right. It was a fun one today. This was one that we've been looking forward to for a long time. And they're you know we're not done and hopefully we're never done talking. About some of the big blockbusters of your on this here show. What do we have in store for the kids next week. Down is rotten tomatoes wrong about iron man to the one that gave us scarlett johansson instead of emily blunt as black widow. And i'm not saying that. That's a bad thing but i just wanted everyone to know. This is where it happens. This is where it happened. We got mickey rourke and he was a big fan of birds. And there's a really cool jeans racing. Indy cars and a whole lot more. We also got don sheetal replacing terrence..

"The last half hour we shared our conversation with two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank. And the director of her new movie, Chicago's very own Deon Taylor. Very interesting conversation. Not only about this nor thriller that they do, but I think also very, very interesting. About theaters opening up in the future of whether or not we'll be going back to theaters. What they both had to say was, I thought very, very interesting. We'll post that up on the Web, so you could watch that later. Hillary in this movie stars with Michael Ealy. Been in a whole variety of films, comedies, dramas, just everything. I mean, this is an actor who could do a lot in this movie he plays. Sports agent goes to Vegas with four bachelor party has a one night stand, returns back to his home and wife on whom he's just cheated. And that night. There is a home invasion and the detective who was investigating the home invasion is the woman from the one night stand. And she ain't going away. She's just is not going away. It's very fatal attraction like I don't think it's quite as solid Azaz fatal attraction, but it's still a good movie. I still enjoyed it, and I certainly enjoyed their performances in this movie. And we talked with Hillary and Dion on the zoom. Likewise with Michael, he'll think I'm gonna start calling you Chameleon man because you put Michael Ealy into any kind of genre any kind of role you knock it out of the park E mean, is that your intention when you choose your roles? That might have been the highest compliment I've ever received. Ever genuinely appreciate that. Thank you. Because You know you try. That is kind of the That's the goal, right? Like, you know, you know the actors that I respect growing up and that I still respect to this day are the ones that You might not necessarily be movie stars, but are able to kind of just blend in and just do anything you know, like a Philip Seymour Hoffman or don Sheetal type of actor like those guys, I just I just love them so much. And so that chameleon comment like that is that is Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, that that Z by design. You know what? I'm gonna throw a couple of other names into that mix like a Tom Hanks. I just watched him to a western, which I never saw before a Jimmy Stewart who did comedies and dramas and everything but he CEO I'm And you are you are you are the You Know the guy here, my friend. That's appreciate that. I mean, you know You know, I'm just trying. Tomo. Obviously you want to bring your a game And then when you work with Hilary Swank, you want to try and bring your double a game. Uh, and, you know, I think she's uh, She's phenomenal. She's so intense and she's so like Dialed in that you know you You have no choice but to show up on Bring it. What does that mean to you? When you you know when you go into any movie, really, and you're acting partners in the movie If you're working against the two Time Academy Award winner does that Does that mean something different to you? I think the key is to not be intimidated by it, right. You know, I think accolades can sometimes separate us. And you know, at the end of the day if we're both on a stage and we're both on a set We birth. We both earned the right to be there, and we should act accordingly. Now, none of this was a problem with Hillary. Hillary doesn't act like she's above anything. She's very much a giving actor and very dialed in and very human and normal and it was fantastic to work with her. On Again If I'm not intimidated by you, then I know I'm in a zoo long as I'm giving the space and I could breathe and play. Then, hopefully we we jam well together, and it just becomes like like jazz and a lot of ways, And it just becomes much more fun. Much more fun than anything else..
