So it's good when Republicans react to the base and like I said in this case, parents, you have Republicans in some cases reacting to the demands of parents, which is good, but the problem is that when you don't get follow through, and so operation load star is a great example of this Abbott decided that he was going to build the wall in Texas on his own because his opponents like Don huffines and Allen west suggested that if elected, they would do that. And I mean, it's documented that Abbott never thought about this or talked about it until his opponent said they would do that. But the problem was that it was so like it was so political. It was so theatrical that when Abbott did it, it was totally haphazard and in some ways it backfired. Like in some ways, operation lone star actually made the problem of illegal immigration worse in Texas. And so what I'm getting at with these parent movements is that I hope that that's not the case. I hope that when Republicans react to parents that it's actually, it's actually going to yield some good.

They flex their muscles but we saw under the trump administration that the federal government backed down when sanctuary state and sanctuary city measures were passed in seattle in portland and san francisco. This is what I imagine. It sounds like at a Houston public school today. What was that? We're sure to, uh What was that food? Can I take my mask off? No. Put your mask on. Anyway, I thought we passed the state law. You probably thought that to that said there would be no mask mandates in Texas public school, So that was a very long time ago. Uh, it actually wasn't it was earlier this summer. We passed that law earlier this year. Well, now we have mask mandates in public schools. Enforcement in the state's public school system of governor Abbott's ban on mask mandates has been dropped 20 while and this information come to it earlier today, courtesy of the Texas Education Agency, the T. E. A in a public health guidance letter, the TIA said. Enforcement was being dropped because of ongoing court challenges to the ban. I think that's kind of legalese. It's legal talk for Governor. Abbott didn't have the colonies to get this done, The letter said The new guidance is effective immediately. Further guidance will be issued once the litigations are resolved. But Why All the best science. We have says there's no need for masks, especially masks on young Children. I get it. Maybe an elderly person an immuno compromised person. The science we have about Children is very clear on this. We don't need to mask up young kids because they rarely get sick. When they do. They're almost never hospitalized. They rarely spread the virus. Most studies confirm this. There's very little so called scientific data to suggest the opposite. I'm speaking specifically about kids here. In the 18 months we spent experimenting with masks have done nothing to flatten the curve. There's no correlation between states with strict mask rules and ones that don't and lower or higher covid rates. So why isn't Abbott doing something about this? Well, he won't say he's been pretty quiet about the whole debacle. All his silence seems to demonstrate to his critics is that state laws do not matter. Why isn't Abbott doing anything about the mask mandates in school today? What should he do? Well, Well, look, This is just very typical behavior from our governor. He's all talk and no action. Don Abbott also promised there would be no vaccine passports in Texas. I got to think if this guy is not keeping his promise on mask mandates in school, does the promise about no vaccine passports in Texas hold any value? Well, of course it doesn't. You can't rely on anything, the man says, And I mean, what about securing the border? I mean, every year for eight years he's talked about even talked about his attorney general, securing the border borders more wide open it's ever been and I'm the only candidate to run for governor or will be governors got a clear plan to secure it, And I'm never going to ask permission from the federal government to do that. I'm going to use the U. S constitution to do it, which is Article one section 10 and use all the military. We need. To close the border down. I mean, he's always talked about property taxes being too high year after year, and I'm the only candidate that's got a clear plan to phase out property taxes entirely. And so I mean, it's just tax ins and Republicans. We're just tired of being lied to. We're tired of broken an empty promises. And and that's why my candidate at my my campaign is doing so well, Yeah, I appreciate that. And you are your poll numbers are up. You have a lot of people are donating to don Huffines campaign, especially since Rand. Paul endorsed you, Um, I'm with you on getting the national guard at the border. Are now converting the the abandoned oil and gas man camps. To house illegal immigrant Children a very bizarre move. I'm sure most of our listeners would probably prefer those camps still be used for energy industry workers. But fracking has been banned. What do you think about that illegal immigrant kids are now being housed at these facilities that were previously being used for oil and gas jobs. Don, had you even heard about that. I don't think most people knew. I did hear about that and look, they're throwing money and everything they need to down there. They've got playing the federal government doesn't There's plenty of money. That doesn't mean anything to them. So they're buying hotels, motels. Man camps, anything they can Because this is really an invasion As my third trip to the border. I just got back recently and and Border Patrol estimates two million illegals on apprehended a flood into Texas and one year Since the beginning of the year, they called illegals from 150 different countries. I mean, it's an invasion, and that's why I'm going to use this United States Constitution to stop and and and we're gonna close all 25 bridges over the river for inbound commercial traffic. To put the heat on Mexico mean can we got to make Mexico secure their side of the river? The federal government's never going to secure the border ever. That's why this election so important. If Abbott wanted to security could have done it seven years ago or seven days ago, his border plans a joke, right? It's it's true. I always assume that with the Democrats, especially look with Joe Biden that nothing you see as a coincidence like this whole thing in Afghanistan falling apart right now, I think they botched it on purpose, but Going back to the thing about the oil and gas camps. Is it possible? That that Biden crippled the energy industry because he knew he could use those facilities for the wave of illegal migrants that were coming in. Well, I guess that's certainly possible. But I can tell you it is a premeditated attack on Texas to keep the border open. Like he's doing that That is the definitive, premeditated attack on us, and it always has been. Texas taxpayers are the ones satellite. And I know that Governor Abbott has taken a lot of criticism, especially since the covid pandemic the way that he has Ushered the state through that process. What in particular? Are you concerned about? Well, look, Texans are smart Republican voters are very smart. They know a failed administration when they see it. I mean, let's just look at the issues affecting taxes, huh? We're going to use the military upon all the illegals back across the river, and this is an invasion. This is an invasion of Texas. It's the borders run by the cartels. Everyone pays the cartels across that river and its sex trafficking, human trafficking, You name it, It's going on down there, and we're going to put a stop to it once and for all, because I'm really the actual Republicans actually going to do something there. And every year the rent goes up and up and up. I mean, just let's just visualize for a moment what it would be like. If you didn't have any property tax to pay, Imagine the wealth that you could that you would have in this pursue your own happiness and not the government's happiness. This is your property, and all we do is rent it from the government and the rent goes up enough. You can't budget for it. And everyone's going to get taxed out of their homes are out of their businesses. I've got a great plan to phase out property taxes over 10 years, and then everyone's going to get a chance to vote on. It will be a constitutional amendment so the voters can weigh in where they want to eliminate it once and for all. This is very doable. It's been a priority. The Republican Party on an offer for years and years, So how do you happen? How do you plan to raise money to fund the state government then? Well, the best way to do it as women is to limit state spending, So if we can't state spending it at a low increased number, like 2% are revenues generally grow at about 8%. We can apply that growth in revenues to buy down property taxes. We can also shift some of it over to the sales tax consumption tax. And over time, we're going to be able to eliminate it all and still fully fund the schools and in the cities in the counties that rely on property tax. It's imperative, though, that we get the state of of this being relying upon property tax. And we'll look this. This isn't going to be easy, but we can do it. I'll keep asking the Legislature to come back every 30 days to get it handle. This is going to create more wealth in our state, and we can really possibly imagine billions and billions of dollars and that wealth and we're going to finally get our economic liberty back. Mr. How often do you mentioned the Legislature, and they've been called back into session starting Thursday specifically to deal with the election reforms. The election. Mayors were guaranteed income and on their website, they will meant the fact that the social safety net does not actually cover all needs that there were not mine. So they want to add this on top of that. You know the argument for a universal basic income. Maybe if you got rid of all other welfare programs, perhaps that might make a little bit more sense. But that's not what they're arguing for their arguing for on top of everything else, and of course, it's just a vote buying scheme. You know the Adler saying that now $500 a month, I think is the number right? Um, And you know the next next year when there's a mayor's race? Who's going to promise 501 Who's going to promise 1000 Who's going to promise 2000? Why stop at 500? Why don't you Why don't you just get them done? Yeah. I mean, if 500 bucks a month, which stimulate the economy can imagine what 10,000 month when I just had a texture pointed out. By the way, those reparations will will be paid by All races.
