"Dollars. I can go and get the best Michael baseball bat for 250 bucks and he'll have it for two years. I had those kids living with me the one kid's chassis blue, and it's something to do with 1000 bucks for a pair. My whole point. The point is $10,000 on hockey or spending. Ah, $1000 on baseball. It's about the commitment made and parents get understanding. Easy. Why are you doing it? Why are the parents doing it? Why are the parents playing having their son play hockey because they want to return on their investment in college? There's you there's your problem. There's your problem in which it shouldn't be treated like the stock market. Ladies and gentlemen, it's an investment. Tell you some right now. If you think your kid is going the distance, you better off. Put your money in the stock market. You have a better chance. Well, I'm going crypto currency you are doing. You were doing this. For the love of the game for your child to be a part of a team to go through the ups and downs and all around of this beautiful sport, have them going, compete and have exercise and build friendships as the parents can build friendships. That's why you do this. Well, You know what, Rive? I just bought my kid $50 soccer cleats. And if he's not on, man, you in 10 years I'm gonna snap which would be pretty impressive. Yeah, well, he'd be 18. So I mean, you'd be like that Fino review had a point You wanted to make about coaching ladies General. We're talking about coaching here. Um, because it seems to be maybe the first thing that will be taken care of on the docket of things to do by GM Kevin Adams and you You had a point. You want to make Craig going into the break? What was it? Yeah. Listen, I mean, just going back to kind of what Marty spoke about saying that, you know. Money is not an issue. Money is not the issue and and the Agulhas have always been. You know, it's not been about the money it's been about. Let's let's try and make this the best team possible. And when it comes to coaching, I believe that it Zzyzx same situation. The thing is, money is an issue. Money is an issue. Okay, because the coaching staff that the experience that you have in Tortorella Boudreau Galan, Julian, talk it. Hartley Quinn, Patrick wa Babcock. You just keep going down and down. You're going to be paying these people for their experience, okay? And they're accolades and what they've accomplished up to this point, So you're gonna be spending a lot of money. Here's the thing you're already right now. Spending a lot of money on a coach. That's not gonna be coaching your next year, and that's Ralph Krueger three and 3.75 or $3.9 million that the Agulhas have to pay this man. And he's doing nothing. But if money was here's the thing. We all say that money's not an issue, And this is why I say I honestly believe That dawn Gra Nadal has won this job. I would be shocked right now, if anybody were to tell me today or a week from now or a month from now. That there is another coach hired Jack Jack here or not, Craig because I think the terrible Jack and you know, let's let's work on the feelings of Jack Eichel. Let's work on the team. Okay, let's work on the team and the guys wanna be here, okay? It's not work on one individual player, so you don't feel that the hiring of Dong Granado has anything to do with the direction of the team. Whether it's a rebuild or not, you feel like he's you said it. It's about the team. And don Granado A showed me in a very short sample size. Okay, that he conduce, um pretty darn impressive things with an extremely What is the word gentleman? Rock. Extremely raw and Reno Green hockey team what he got and what he suck from those players. What he got from Rasam Starlene was truly amazing. Because I'm gonna tell you right now, Rasmus don't lean with smothering and suffocating every single game under Kruger and then all of a sudden You just took a deep breath and went and played his game and no concern for you. No concern and no concern for you and I'm not bringing this up. It is brought up and it's a legitimate question. I don't know how much married it has, but it's a legitimate question. About the fact that he inherited a team that was already out of it. So there's really there is concerns there. But here's the thing, something that I've learned a lot now over the last year or two or three, and I even go back to my career. Like I loved Lindy Ruff. Like he was hard. He was stuff. I actually appreciate him. Maura after I was gone, then when I was here, I love John Tortorella. But a coach that would come in with that much experience and and baggage and come in and say I am the way I coach. You guys have to follow me. Is not going to work and we saw that with with Basma, Housley and Kruger like you have to adjust to the team you have in front of you. And don Coronado did that He did not come in and says. This is how I do things and you guys better fall in line or that's not gonna work. We looked at the team and he adjusted, and that's my thing. Like if Chlo Julian was the guy he's going to come in and say, I'm Claude Julien. That's the way I coach and that's the way we gotta play. John Tortorella would come in. That's the way I coach. That's the way we gotta play. And I don't. I'm not. I don't think I know now with the way the game is in 2021. That's not how it works. Right. Brenda Moore is not the same coach that he was as a player. And look at his steam in Carolina. You have to adjust to what you have in front of you. That's what makes you the best coaching. I think Don Coronado did that really well. And I agree..

Claude Julien Brenda Moore Don Coronado Ralph Krueger Chlo Julian Hartley Quinn Dong Granado two years 250 bucks $50 Patrick wa Babcock 1000 bucks $1000 $10,000 Jack Eichel John Tortorella don Coronado Marty 2021 Tortorella Boudreau Galan

"Little certainty that they're returning next year. The first thing I'm going to say is, I really enjoy the opportunity to sit Sit back year after year and watch young players develop not only physically on the ice and the way that they're continuing to get better and challenge themselves. But more importantly off the ice. You listen to that interview from Rasmus Darlene. When he came here at the age of 18. It's incredible toe. Listen to you know how well he's speaking English now how well he had the confidence level and answering the questions on Dure congee just you can feel that he is maturing as a young man. Um, you know, away away from the rink, and it was really It's really nice to hear players like grass. Mus, You know some tough questions talking about. You know the older veteran players and Jack Eichel. Sam Ryan her if they're putting him on the spot, they're asking you. How do you feel about these guys Not coming back. Those are not easy questions to ask. You don't know the future. You don't know what's gonna happen. You don't know of Sam Ryan hurts going to re sign here. Jack Eichel is going to come back. All you have to worry about is what you can control. These are things that you can't control and no one has the answer to right now. Rasmus. Darlene had a really tough third season to start and the way he finished Has put a big smile on everybody's face. Because I'm gonna tell you right now he is going to be an elite defenseman in this league. There's no question about it, and I love the second part of his season. We're starting to see what what he's gonna bring to this team for a very long time. I'll be honest with you. I am. I hate those type of questions where you basically are telling arrested selling Well, It's very possible that Jack and Sam and restore won't be here next year like Give me a break. It's not dress Mrs. Decision about you asked Rasmus question about Rasmus, you say. Hey, you know what? You're going to be in your fourth year. Next year you've seen now the NHL for three years. How comfortable are you being a leader of the team? That's a question asking. I put that tickle about Jack and all that. I totally hate it now. Going back to Rasmus and unanswered that I loved is you know what? What? Don Coronado What did he allow you? Two to do out there. How does the change help you? And he said, You're not a trusted me as a player, and I wasn't thinking as much on the ice and I'll say two things one You didn't have to think as much on the ice. Why? Because there is a better defensive structures so in Delhi and had the puck, he knew exactly where everybody was going to be with Ralph Krueger. It was so you know, crazy in the defensive zone that every time darling at the park he had to think. Where is my left winger? He's easy on the right side. Easy down low is in the neutral zone. I have no idea where he is. So for restless Darlene that not thinking part allows the creativity and the confidence to grow and it shows in the stats because I did basically just the split. Kruger Granado 28 Games under Ralph Krueger. One gold 10 assist minus 27 minus 27 in 28 games under Don Coronado. Four goals, eight assists so about the same amount of points 12 points in 28 games compared to 11 points in 28 games, minus nine. It went from minus 27 28 games to minus nine in 28 games. That's a big difference. The team was not Great team, So the plus minus is not gonna show like, Oh, darling was plus four. But it's a big difference between minus 27 minus nine under Ralph Krueger. Only one time in 28 games was Rasmus Dollies, The De Lena plus player one time Under Don Granato seven times. I mean those air the difference that shows you that restless darling. Add two complete different seasons and we saw it with all right so we can go into shot, share and gold share and chances and all of that we can do a major DYP. Deve. That dive deep dive. I should say a major deep dive in numbers and we don't have to. We all saw it. He was a much better, much, much more improved and comfortable and confident Player under Don Granado and His answer was great. He wasn't even making nearly the same mistakes. I mean, it was he would. It was think he just was, like, half the night. It was night and day we saw him be. We saw those flashes river. Remember, you came on the show one day, and you're like we saw flashes of the old Ross, Miss Darlene. You say the old but you know, like the guy who looks like he has a slinky for spine. You know where he's you know, going inside out, but it's in this. This game's confidence. It's all about confidence. Everything. I don't care how good of a skater you are. I don't care how hard you shoot the Parker. You play baking ability, the hockey I Q. Your physicality, everything. You do not play this game well or to your capabilities if you're not confident, and there was Tremendous and I mean a tremendous amount of players that did not have the confidence under Al Kruger and what they were doing their second get their second guessing themselves and everything. Every area of the ice weather was offensively neutral zone play, or especially in the defensive zone. All right. Where's the goalie? Quickly? If I made saves, I felt confident, right? I give up gold. I don't feel confident as a defenseman. You make a tape to tape past you like Oh, yeah, about that. Like I knew where my winger was. Tape to tape were out his own. I'm at the blue line. I'm walking the line. I have an option on the half. Well, I have a shot lane or whatnot, Confidence. But it all comes from structure as a coach. Your number one responsibility is to put your players in a position to feel confident about how they play on the ice. And then the difference is is clear. We saw it this year. Locker room clean out week. I guess we'll call it tomorrow. You'll hear from Coach Don Granado at 11 o'clock, Kevin Adams or the young bucks or speaking today veterans spoke yesterday. When we come back, we will hear from a player. I think changed everyone's mind about him from the start of the season to where he is now we'll hear from among return. Stick around.

"It's rehab or surgeries are any indication that you know Jack won't be playing hockey anytime soon. If that could happen, and that's why Jack wants to get the surgery now because he wants to get the rehab out of the way and get training for next year. If you wait Too long. Absolutely south. He could there could threaten his season next year for not the whole season, but getting into training camp or being ready for the beginning of the season. Um, so that's why he wants to get this done. Now he feels he and his doctors feel that it's necessary. They you know, and they don't feel that it's a major type of a surgery that you know this repair can be made. To the herd in a herniated disc. And you know, as I said he can do his his his surgery rehab and then get onto getting ready for the season for it is, he said, you know wherever S o. You know, it seemed career threatening in any way, though, right from any indications seem that way. No, it seems like the surgery could be done to correct it. So it sounds like either rehab could correct it. Or if the rehab doesn't work, then the surgery could correct it. So my understanding from everything I'm hearing Is either way this can be corrected and is not career threatening. Paul the other thing I mean, it was all about I call yesterday. But this actually does. Michael and his future does tie in. To Sam Reinhart on what I want to ask you about him. What did he have to say? The backdrop here is he is a restricted free agent. He would have. He has one year away from unrestricted free agency. He too has known nothing but losing around here. What did you make from? I did not see his zoom call. So what did you make of his comments? Read into where his head is at. And how does the Eichel stuff possibly impact Reinhardt? Well, he's not ready for, you know, a rebuild, he said. He's 26 years old. He's not doesn't want to do a rebuild. He again again and did not say that he wanted to be traded. His comment was something like, you know. Hey, you know you these this This is not good. Is losing is not good. We need to make some changes. You could tell how down he was. He was just not. He was miserable, losing his miserable and e think it's gotten to him. And he pretty much said, You know, he's got some thinking to do also, they'll go. You know, they'll figure it out. Then he hasn't given it too much thought and these types of things tend to work themselves out. And the other guy when he asked about was risk the line and based on the tweets. Did he basically said you guys? Yeah, man, whatever you want to trade me train. You want to keep me like I Whatever. I don't care. Just whatever I'm fine. Yes, that's exactly he was really loose and he goes. I just finished talking Adams and I told him if you know I got one year left on my deal. If you want me to come back and play, that's great, I'll be happy to come back and play. If you want to trade me, That's great to know. I'm fine with that, too. So, he said, whatever you want, it's fine. But I think if you read the tea leaves, and that one, too, it's basically I'm going to honor my contract, which has one more year left in it. And it's signed order him to after that. It didn't sound like you know, he has a really would want others in Other than making the playoffs, he said. I have to make the playoffs next year. Whether it's here or somewhere else. I have to make the playoffs, so If they were to make the playoffs somehow. Then you know he might change his tune that Yeah, I'd like to re sign with Buffalo and stay But hey, pretty much indicated by his comments that I fulfilled my contract when the contract's over. No, I'll go do my thing. Well, more zoom calls today, but I'm gonna make a prediction. Nothing's going to top yesterday. Yeah. These are the younger players. I don't think Dylan cousins is gonna ask to get traded. All right, swell room. Wait a minute. Darlene's gonna ask for a deal. He right? Dolly is going to tell you guys already went to management. Trade me right now, please. Right. Right. Paul? Yeah. Darlene Back. Tox, middle stat. Thompson Cousins. That group is in today's group. And then we get Don Coronado and And Kevin Adams tomorrow so Fun times, Paul. Thank you, as always take care of guys enjoy. Hey, by the way, Nice Iowa State jersey there on the zoom, cause I I have, actually, I don't believe I've ever been in your house, so I was able to see the The memorabilia had their nice times. You never noticed that resumes before we've been doing zooms for awhile. You know what? Because, normally, I just listened to him in our on demand Audio, But for whatever reason yesterday I actually wanted to see Jack space. So I saw your lovely abode. I didn't need to see your face. I just wanted to see Jack's face. Actually, he was funny. He was. I thought he was up. He was amazingly upbeat and joking with the media amidst this discussion about all these serious matters and everything. Well, I think he wanted to be. I mean, I think you know, he probably would like to get the media on his side. So be nice. Type of thing. And, you know, let let's gang up on the sabers type of attitude. Well, I mean, that's we do that all the time. So it's become. It's become second nature to me..

"Have you and Kevin discuss how you guys will handle the exit interviews with players and what kind of message is. Do you want to send these guys heading into the offseason? You know, we'll discuss that tomorrow. Actually, we discussed that. We'll discuss that. We'll talk about that tomorrow. So Um, with me the exit interviews. You know, I care about these guys on and, uh you know, I told them that you know, Unfortunately, when you're in a position as a coach, lots of ex players Wonder whether I actually cared about him, You know, and that saddens you as a coach, because you have to push in demand and drive them. Toso, your You're not always pat him on the back and a lot of times they don't They wonder whether they don't You even care about him. But you do was very much So for me. I want to see all these guys be successful. I told him that if there's anything I could do to help him All the road be happy to do it because they gave us a scare coaching staff an awful lot. Done. Um, Casey middle. Sad just said he owes so much to you. Obviously the guy see The care that you put into this game and to each player. How have you grappled with the emotions of taking over this team over almost the past two months? And what are you feeling now that the season's over Yeah, First of all, I don't. I don't feel it's over yet. It may hit me tomorrow and then go into a depression, I guess, but but, you know, it's still hard to leave that game behind. You feel bad. I feel bad for our guys. I felt great for Michael Hauser and bad for him in the same sense. He stopped every pot shot at him and one goes off. Off a guy's body and goes in, but he played drinking. I really felt are guys put it put in effort in and tonight you could say today you could say they deserve more. They deserve better and And again, That's a hard feeling as a coach when guys you know, guys competed hard. On day didn't get the reward. You know, It's a lot easier the other way when you know you're gonna have to get out and push on the next day, but a great effort by our guys today. I guess they don't have a handle on the emotional side of it. That's what you're asking. It's still too professional for me at this point. Onto that walk from the bench down the tunnel after the game feel any different today. I mean, you find yourself sort of savoring the moments of the day, I guess. Look to put it now. Actually, no as if she and I have a deep respect for being in the position I'm in, but Yeah, I don't I don't. Really like emotional highs or lows and on drama. It just doesn't work for me. Um, you know, this is still a business and like I said, I felt what I felt for the players. It's not You know, maybe tomorrow's feel stuff for myself, but it's too hard at this point to feel anything in that regard. All set. Don, thank you. Thank you guys. There is Savers. Head coach. Don Coronado. His postgame comments brought to you by Paul William Belts Your power of attorney Brian calls you back here on our final Paul William belts postgame show of this season is the sabers. Course, will miss the playoffs again. And we're just hoping that maybe one year after this game ends of the of the regular season that will be sitting here right now talking about who they're going to play in the first round of the playoffs, it would be such a refreshing Thought of mind have but nevertheless, if that is done, Granados last game, his head coach I never personally have met him yet. The media this year and the team personnel are not really allowed to be anywhere near each other due to covert policies. But, um, I will say this for Me who has heard coaches interviews and interviewed players and coaches going back to Lindy Ruff all the way through with Ted Nolan and Dan Biles, MMA and Phil Housley and Ron Ralston. And Ralph Krueger. And don Granado here, Um, don Granada with the media was nothing but class, and I thought handle himself extremely well and shared. I thought thoughts that you'd like to hear from a head coach seemed to be genuinely honest and cared about his players. And I guess you know, from my outside perspective again, not being able to be on the inside. I guess that's a lot of things that you could ask of the coaches that you'd want him to represent the organization well in all those ways that I just did, and I thought he did a good job of that. With that being said. That doesn't mean that he deserves to be the head coach of this team. Now in pre game we talked quite a bit about why he should should be. Head coach of the team. Just because you speak well represent your team. Well, and you know, you have a good relationship with the media. And you care about your players doesn't mean you're the best fit for the job. To be honest, though, I really think he is the best fit for this job. At this moment. There are guys that have better resumes that have longer resumes. What There's also unknown. Don Granato seemed to be able to push the right buttons with this young group. Carrying it over into another season is definitely a challenge. If that ends up being the case for Granato bought I just feel like You know, he just seems to be able to strike the right chord that has been missing here. Whether it's been from a former Hall of Famer like Phil Housley. Or the guy with the resume like Dan Biles, MMA or the Off the beaten path. Look with Ralph Krueger. None of them have been able to push Ross, Miss Darlene and Casey, Middle Stat and Page Thompson and some of these other guys That We're seeing now, maybe fill fill some of that potential that everybody thought might you see when you know they were drafted or brought into the sabers organization and to hear it from middle stab himself. And you know, he challenged us. He pushed us. He wants the best out of us like I think that goes a long way. I think he's the favor to get the job. I would be surprised if he didn't. Um I do think they should interview others. I do think that they shouldn't make the decision this week. I wouldn't blame them. If they end up giving it to Granado. I wouldn't blame them if they end up giving it to somebody else. But I think Coronado Has done enough that he deserves it. And for his easy as it is to rip into the sabers organization for a lot of reasons if Kevin Adams decides To offer the job done gone, Don Granado and he accepts. I don't think there's a lot of negative that could go with it. There's unknown with every guy coming in. There's.

"It's all positive as long as the work ethic committee stays and I don't see that being an issue station all Don. What did you see? As far as ah, Body language demeanor reaction today from Michael Hauser after just how everything was unfortunate for him last night and also from the guys around him and what you expect of him tomorrow. I would expect the guys were on them. You know, all of us put in a better effort. Focus. You know, we're all in it together and believe collectively, they all took responsibility and we didn't help him. When we should have last night and you can break the game down lots of different ways. But the anyway you do, you can't overlook that fact that we No. We give our opposition to money. Too much time and space and too many free pox on Michael was the guy as everybody leave the pace of this place. So you know he was down because he cares about then he cared for you Think about is down because maybe himself. He cares about the team of the guys really see, that's fine. And he felt he let the guys know himself so we needed we needed to make sure that you know that's not a spy. Marie feeling that he let somebody else down with those guys way. Let him down. Um and he should pick right back up. So you know, that's that's the Hope the focus and you know he's He's more than capable. We know that we've seen that so we all have to move on it. Get ready to compete tomorrow. Hey, there, Savers, head coach Don Coronado and of course, that yesterday's meeting with the media because, he said tomorrow that's today. A sabers and penguins are just minutes away here from puck Drop. We're anticipating the national anthem from PPG paint, Serena. Any moment will take you there live as soon as it happens. "The coach is gonna have the final decision on how and when you get to your ice time where they want to play to flow up, I especially is if we're talking about it. It's going to be a someone else other than Don Granado and someone who has coast in the NHL for a while. Sure they're going to play to the strength of our asses, darling, But there's going to be certain. If you want to call the system or certain rules in places to where to put the puck when to rush the park. When you get the green light, those things are gonna be there. So for young player, I think you have to be able to develop in the open to developing if you're just gonna come in close minded and say, I do it this way, and only this way. You might go through a few coaches by the time your career is done. The other player for me, that really stands out, and I think it's more first development through, you know, probably what could be argued, would have been a natural progression that many people would've voted on a couple of seasons ago is Casey, Middle Stat. To me. He's really come back and you could see the maturation of you know a guy that was in the National Hockey League and everyone talked about all the skills and talents and he could shoot, you could skate, but so can everybody in the NHL. I mean, it's not as if you come in with a head start on anybody when you get to this level. Basically if you can shoot and skate, and if you are said to be a prospect than you're competing at a level with the best of the world, and that's what this league is all about. So only a few guys as we seeing with rookies in Minnesota, and even when Jack came into the league and With Austin Matthews economist David on even back in the parole when he came into the league, there's certain guys that just stand out because they're way above everybody else but the rest of the players. If somebody tells you you're great, and you've got great ability, you're probably on part of the rest of the guys in the league. Now you have to take your game to another level and for me. Casey Mental status shown very mature progression in his game, And I think if that is something that falls even partially on Don Coronado, Of course, he should take credit for it. The rest of the credit should go. I think the organization for Having Casey playing American League and that as they say, then I go to Casey. Middle Stat. Who is someone who, to me? Just looks like a hockey player where he goes from here. It's up to him, but we saw him up here I say is a young guy. I see him now is a man amongst the men and then in the NHL. I think is a really key piece to this hockey team going forward if they want to have success in the next three years building this thing, I think Casey middle stats got to be a big part of it. Ryan Cozy. Oh, Paul Hamilton, Dan Dunleavy, Pat Mela, Carl Here on her Savers Round table. It's the end of the season, of course for Buffalo. They finished this afternoon at three o'clock. Let's get in. One more topic. This segment and that's Jack Eichel. Pat. We'll let you get off and start on this one here. Where does Jack Eichel fit in in terms of the progress we're seeing for young players. And is there an argument to be made that this team could be better in terms of getting a wallop of a return in a trade for Eichel? Or you have the mindset that there is no way that you would trade a guy that the sabers essentially tank for? Well, I mean, if you just want to look at the how the roster could shake out. If you have Jack Eichel as the top of your your center on your top line, and you're able to slot You know, the rest of your three centers down the middle on your other three lines. There's no question we've seen what Jack Eichel could do. We we've seen how he can create offense for the other two wingers on his line. We've seen what you can do, you know, up and down the ice and how he has started to mature into a captain in the NHL. When He was giving it at such a young age. I think we may have to take that for granted a little bit because of just what went into getting Jack Eichel in that draft year, and all the expectations placed on him. So to me when you look at it, Can you get a great return for Jack? Michael? I mean, there's no doubt about it, and you can set your franchise up. Um, you know, potentially, but You know what you've got in Jack Eichel. And if that means you're able to put, you know Dylan cousins down a different line and pair him with a pair of wingers and you know, you got tasty middle centers developing into a very good young players. Dan mentioned and really growing into his time in the NHL, and you've got all these different options. I mean to me. There's no question that Jack Eichel makes your team better. Bedding at the top and then allowing you to fill the other pieces out. Now it's going back to your earlier question about Kevin Adams. His biggest issues in the summer is on the head coach, and that is absolutely right. But it's also pulling out the rest of the roster. It will be a flat cap situation. If you've got Jack Eichel and you've got your center's down the middle. How do you get the right pieces on the wings? And maybe that's another area where don Donato has shown that this team under him has taken a step forward with some of that young talent that has come in. Coming in big situations. He has allowed them to grow into NHL players and see certain situations and score goals. Be on the wrong end of plays and learn from them..

"Lot more challenging than we had to. He helped us weather a storm, too. We got on legs have got to our game, which really didn't happen till the earliest the halfway point in that game, So he was great, and it was great that you know, In the end, we didn't win the shootout by scoring the goal. We want to shoot out by him making save that's fitting how he started the game finished helping us Don Coronado on the goalie Michael Hauser, the sabers. Go back to back over the Islanders two games left at the Penguins tomorrow night and Saturday. We will talk some football. Connor Rogers of Bleacher report coming up real quick. The Blue Jays announcement finally happened with Fan information, and it's in the updates all day. Will be next week for tickets. Eisen's season ticket holders get a jump. I got a knee email from the sabers. Announcing a pre sale opportunity through them. Day before general public, So the sabers have some Role in this That's you know, good for their season ticket holders. If there is good in baseball, I am Cool. I'm gonna be going to be trying to get tickets. That was talk. Yeah, Yeah. What Z? I wanna I wanna see if you can help me. Help me help you. Yeah, right. Yes. I'm into that. Yeah. And it's there's one other thing about that. I didn't say anything about prices on the Blue Jay site or the Bison side. Hopefully that was announced to be to be announced is what I saw. So yeah, they don't. They have a determined yet what? What The price structure is going to be for those tickets or they just haven't told us. Right? Yeah. All right. Let's go to Bernie. Next. Hi, Bernie. I got a remarkable will sit on the fantasy question. Do you like so okay? I think if you just look at this situation, I mean the way the Rangers have handled this compared to the way the Steelers handled be Rudolph Garrett situation. I think if you juxtapose two responses, it's comical. What the Rangers air doing whether it's still waiting for whoever it's just It's a bad luck for them and then fantasy wise. I got dynasty Super Fox trap Michael Carter at 26. What do you think about Um I like it a lot. The super flex so two quarterbacks, they'll be other good picks in the one quarterback league. You know, it's just It's just different, but I like Carter, I I like what I've read and heard about in terms of the player. And also a plus The Team, but the Jets don't have an obvious better running back on their team. He is 1/4 round pick, and that means that could go Either way. They might not give him every chance to succeed, You know? No running back, sir. Still important, even in super flags, and I like I like Carter, and the fits pretty good. You'll have to forgive me. I don't remember exactly what the Steelers had to say. After, um the after the Browns player Garret used used the helmet toe. Swing at Mason Rudolph, but I do recall that the league removed him from competition indefinitely immediately. Yep. And I think that's a pretty important distinction. You can you can laugh at the Rangers and say it's an embarrassment and clearly a couple of high ranking officials within their team names that Pocky people certainly know John Davidson. Maybe not as many know Jeff Gordon, but anyway. Um, you know, did not agree with the Rangers approach, so you know, fire away. But the key difference is the approach the league took tow. What Garrett did is opposed to the approach The league took to what Wilson did Great. They're not exactly comparable, but still, it was egregious and violent and the NFL went. You don't get to play anymore until we figure out what to do with you. And Hawking went. Yeah, There's another game on. What is it Wednesday at seven. Okay. Yeah. Go ahead. Nothing to see here, right? Yeah, thanks, Bernie. We will have Connor Rogers. Next talking NFL here on W gr got something to say. Say it.

"Through two periods here from KeyBank Center, the Bruins have added to their lead counter. Clifton's goal is first of the year 303 and a period to as Boston in front by two. It's two to nothing. Boston over Buffalo. We welcome you here to the press box and the intermission report. I'm Brian Cole's deal will get you back to Rick and Rob in just a little while with period three shots in the period Bruins more than double buffaloes total 14 to 6. They leave in the game, 23 15. They were two penalties in the period. Our Shan went for elbowing about a minute later than risk the line and went for roughing. So each team had about a minute on the power play both teams so far over the night Boston just o of one on that opportunity to savers over too. Tuka Rask. He stopped all 15 shots so far, Dustin Tocar Ski had stopped 21 off 23. All right, we'll get you highlights coming up Pat Scoreboard, but Paul Hamilton Now with his thoughts here on the game, Paul, I thought a first period with sabers had some decent opportunities to score. I thought a little lesson the second there on a holdout here, heading to the third. Yeah, the first period. It was all Boston to start with Boston had a lot of his own time and then finally paid off in the marsh on goal at 806, where they basically I've been all over the sabers almost the whole time. Buffalo had very few minutes in the offensive zone. And then the brusque took a penalty in 11 17. And that's when the saber started getting down in the Boston and they didn't necessarily have a lot of great chances on that penalty after the penalty ended his when cousins have well first roused a line in Was in front of the night He was stopped by Rassmann on the other side of the right circle Cousins, I think thought, I thought he had a wide open net for a goal and somehow coming across his Rask. Got the glove on it and made a phenomenal saving. Who knows if that could have made a difference that they've been able to put that in middle stat was in alone after Aspen that sent him in For a breakaway and and they were stopped by that. Miller with a good anticipation play, intercepted a puck in his own blue line and wound up with a partial breakaway. As he just took off with the puck. Rask stopped that one. Darling put went off the crossbar, so they had some good chances there, but I think we're talking. Ah, ah lot of those chances in the first period as you mentioned and very few. I'm looking for my second period notes. I don't even see a scoring chance here. For the sabers that I even wrote down in the notes, even on the power play that in my mind, wrist align it stupidly took away from them with a dumb hit in front of the net and one of going. They want it going four and four. After you. They lost the power play. There may be risk the line and when he came out of the box came in there, but I didn't have anything else from that. That was one that was a two on one and Yeah, that would have been the only chance they had correct. But the first period you're playing a good team, Paul. I mean, is you meet you rattled off all the chances. They're like, they gotta at least get one there, So at least it's 21. Now you feel like You know, the Bruins are probably gonna put you on lockdown here and it could be over already. I mean, you've got to get to at least to get to the overtime, um, at least get back to what you were doing in the first there. But Marcia and posture, not Bergeron, Paul, especially in the first. We see why it's still the premier line in hockey. Yeah, they were pretty much all over the sabers in the zone. So was the creature line. It just seemed like line after line was coming out and having the sabers into their zone. But the better scoring chances came from the Bergeron line, and they you know they all three of them are really noticeable and you kind of thought If they kept that up there, we're going to score and they did. It wasn't a real hard goal for Marchand as he was Off to the left and was easily able to put it on over us sprawled goaltender. So yeah, it's a really They've kind of had their way in this game. And, yeah, it's As well as the sabers have played into Don Coronado. This is next to impossible task, you know, going into the third period, down two goals to the Boston Bruins with to corral skin goal to harass playing very well. I mean, I can't. I won't say there's zero chance. There's a very, very small chance they could score two goals and get it into overtime or whatever. But chances are pretty good against this Boston team that they're not going to get a sniff. Clifton goal that happens in the second Paul. I mean, it's It's bad that took our ski lets it trickle through. But then, of course, I guess you can't blame him. He's trying to react and he kicks it in. I mean, it's It's just a bad break, but sly, like it's not slide through the guest to start with just slide back. He thinks it's under him, and it actually got behind him and escape is he's sliding back, hit it, and it wanted. Slowly going into that Even one of the sailors going noticed it now. Maybe one of them could have gotten back and shoveled it out of the net before across the line, but it was one of those, they said. Everybody thought it was under his bad, including him. Do nothing. Boston we're through to Paul Hamilton with us here on the intermission report time now to get connected with our fans brought to you by next Eva by prime Com, the official telephone system provider. Of the Buffalo Bills and sabers. Ryan tweeting in about two cars keep all saying, asking about him as a possible back up next year. Upl playing.

"Is protecting your business. I'll just use how don Coronado talked about. He'll be watching Drake Casula tonight. Not sure what he's got in a player who's been quarantining and just recently with the saber has picked up on waivers. From the Coyotes. Here's Casula with Paul. What was it like this? The quarantine? I mean, you basically or by yourself, not a totally new city. I know you were here for development camp. But still what was that week like for you? Uh, long and slow, not a whole lot going on. But I was able to get some workouts and bikes, bike rides in and s O stuff like that to keep you busy and And that watched a lot of TV shows and sports on TV and just tried to make the most of the time, I guess. I mean, having not played now for a couple of weeks. What's a realistic expectation for you tonight? Do you mean you think you can do you have 10 minutes and you like like, how do you feel? I guess I mean it zapping a statement. For there's not too many games left in season and whatever situation I get put in a I'm ready to answer the bell, and I'm looking forward to getting back on the plan. Then whatever I could maintain the best conditioning. I could. I'm the circumstances got a couple skates under my belt. Now I think this is my third skate before tonight's game, so The excitement of just being able to play again. Well, what kind of override the fatigue and just gonna be smart with my shifts and make sure that I don't take care of myself out there, but Like I said, there's not not much toe hold out for you Just gotta make sure you're ready to go. What do you remember from being here before? Remember that week was a long week. It was tough, tough camp, lot of skates and workouts and long days, but I used to come to Buffalo. My dad all the time to watch games is a lot cheaper than going to the Toronto game. So I'm familiar with the area and familiar with the organization having come here. For development camp in during my recruiting process after college, no excited to be here, like I said, and it's a good opportunity for me to kind of show case one of people do it. This team is obviously playing a lot different than it did earlier in the year. I assume you watch the last few games. How would you describe the team? Your steam? Think it's Ah Ah young group that's you know that's hungry. T O play hockey the right way and have fun while playing and Azi watched a game. We're playing with a lot of speed and making a lot of plays out there. You guys were looking confident as well. And it's been fun to watch the last couple of games. I didn't obviously see. Many games throughout the earlier part of the season. But the last few games of washing guys playing great lot of speed, a lot of energy, you know, confidence is starting to show in a lot of these young players. Address you mentioned coming in with their dad do any specific games. The memories stand out to you. Remember coming to watch that flyers play the sabers here. Eric Lindros was on the team and my brother was a big fan of Lindros growing up, so we came to watch that game. There's a few other games when we play the leaf should come as well. But nothing specific or any any big, big game or big moment that I would remember specifically. Great Could you loves worried he was going to say like as a kid. He was here. You know what you grew up watching Ryan Miller. Somebody like that. Um, it's funny, too. He got a question about watching the sabers games in quarantine after talking about how he'd watch sports all the time from his lonely hotel room. Be funny if he said I didn't watch any of the game is watching. Mostly watch basketball or something like that. But he did say he did watch their games, sabers and Bruins tonight. Let's now drive around the NHL brought to you by done tire. The official tire dealer off the Buffalo Bill 6 30 start for Sabers Bruins, So that's the first game on the schedule today. "Here in just one moment Goaltending matchup tonight, Of course, Lena's all mark injured in the last game he left early in the first period after getting up slow from a shot. After making a save. Dustin Tocar ski took over. In that game against the Bruins, and actually, I thought played very well other than the shootout where he didn't look good and gave up both Boston goals there. But besides, that thought he played well, he'll be back in the Nets tonight. V Tech Man, A sack in goal Seems like we see him every time for the capitals. It just seems to be the rotation or the fact that they just feel like Hey, he keeps beating the sabers. Let's just keep putting him in. S so that's the goaltending matchup. The official scratches for Buffalo Carter Hutton remains a scratch and Riley Shang Han is the other scratch. Goaltender Michael Hauser has been recalled from the taxi squad. So In case something happens to took our ski tonight. There's the plan with Howser in goal. Okay, let's bring in Pat McArdle. Good evening, Pat. How are you? Hi, Brian. Doing well. All right. Sabers continue to show signs of I guess we'd say improve place since the coaching change Don Granado now, Pat. In his games since he's taken over with that shootout lost the other night. Therefore six in three under Granato. And that means in seven out of 13, they've gotten at least a point. Now again, this might not set you up to win your division someday here, but at that pace What we know The pace that they were on was historic and bad s 046 and three start for for Don Granado, considering no Jack Eichel. Some of this without Lena Sol mark some of this without Dylan cousins. All of this without Jake McCabe. All of this without will Borg. Unlike I'm you know, statistically in the standings. It feels kind of like what we're seeing on the ice here, too. They're kind of matching up and that's where I was going toe. I'm glad you led me into this because that's where exactly I land on this. Sabers team Right now They're doing all this without a lot of talent and let I'll add in the fact that now Brandon Montes or was playing pretty well under Don Granato won't be on the blue line anymore, so it's on the opportunity for somebody else to step up and we've seen some of the young players do that, and I go back to Sunday and something I wrote about it. W J R 5 50 calm about. Confidence and it's the young players and players like Calla post. So mentioning that they're seeing a lot of confidence from the young players. Rasmus Darlene has a lot more of it, Henry. Okay, How are you? Two players who did not play very well. Over the first two months of the season under Ralph Krueger have found new life and are playing more rejuvenated under Don Coronado. So you look at players like that teach Thompson was somebody that was mentioned. You've seen him a lot more active in in front of the net, made a lot of physical place standing up for himself the other night against Boston. He's another player, So that's where I look at. Not only is this team Getting results, But you can see the effort and the confidence building and growing every game and that's something I think you definitely can look to 1.2 as a sign of positives going forward. Yeah, And we know yesterday, Kevin Adams had a press conference, um, surrounding the hiring of Ah new associate GM, which we could get to in a moment here, but he was asked more about Don Coronado and it sounds like you know, Kevin Adams is really liking what he's seeing if you're remember what he said. Either. Remember you had a press conference after the sabers were just going on that terrible run. And then, of course, he had won two weeks later after he fired Ralph Krueger, But both of those press conference had a similar tone of That they need to compete. They need to play with energy. They need to play with pride like there was. There was a lot of that message coming about. And we're seeing some great things from individuals, but as a whole, I think That's part of what Kevin Adams was so bothered by seeing. I think your eyes could just purely see that that part of it the energy in the compete like that's now they're over the last Three weeks under Don Granato. It is, And I think there's ah mutual respect between the players and the coaching staff. Where don Granado is not afraid to try things and it might work. Sometimes it might not. But he's willing to whether it's different combinations in overtime different, you know situations going into practice with three games in four days or four and six. And trying different things and this works. This doesn't work and learning and growing from that, and I think the players, you know, I would think to a man respect that, and that's another notch in the cap of Don Granato is Players in the coaching staff are really on the same page. And when something doesn't work, I think as a group they try and find ways to solve the problem and corrected for the next time out, so that it doesn't happen again. And I think maybe that is part of what was missing was you know you mentioned before the This brown hole in the square peg, And it seemed like Ralph Krueger Ed way too many times was trying to do that in his in his time here in Buffalo, and not adjusting to what was needed in terms of his roster..

"In the last number of games since the new Don Coronado and his Assistance in That Ellison Dan Girardi. When have we seen those plays from Rasmus Darlene? Yeah. Minimum. Minimal, very minimal. We're seeing a more confident Rass must only in a kid that is just it's almost like the light ball got flicked on and now it's like we're watching some completely different player on the ice. A kid that's taking control of games and he's Aeneas. Enjoying is enjoying the the You know the competition and it's amazing to see. But how the heck does that happen over two weeks? I'm confused. I'm so confused. I mean, there's so many players right now. Kyla Post so In his last 11 games has 10 points. I don't know if people know this, but Kyle a post so Has been put in a position to have more opportunities to succeed. He's been playing on one of the top two lines. The past 2 2.5 plus weeks. He has 10 points in 11 games. It's just like everybody on the in this organization right now seems to be elevating their game. And it's a really good sign. It's a really good sign moving forward, and that's all we want to see as the as the season been a failure. Yes, it has been a failure. We're out of the playoffs. We have like a month and a half left in the season. Yeah, we've got a I'm seeing a lot of really good things. And what Grant Don Granado and his coaching staff has done to the morale of this group. Well, listen, I I keep asking the question. I keep asking the question Does this is he making a case for himself? I still I still want them to search for a new coach. I'm not saying it's not Don Granado. Like a Grazer said. You've got to continue going on. And, um someone here doesn't want this. This Part of the season to help Coronado. They don't want Granado they wanted they want another coach there there. There are a lot of different differences of opinions on a lot of difference. Different things when you throw out about the opinion hasn't changed. This, this gentleman here says If you guys keep talking about restore, I'm gonna need to turn you off about how we need to keep presto And it Z. Not about how we need to keep it. We can't keep him. You don't need to keep it. I want to keep him. I wish we could keep him. But you can't keep him. That's what that's what that conversation was about, Um So it's you know, like it's not about you don't need to keep presto, you You'd like to be able to keep restaurant having you're wrong. You can keep him if risk The lining is absolutely willing To put behind the last eight years that he's played mislead. If he can put I think he did that last year, I think he did that. I think they sold him on Kruger. And they were all excited about for Kruger and how much Kruger was excited about him and really wanted him and I don't think you can sell rest on that again. I just I don't What happens if we see in the in the next month? Okay, was like one of those things where you turn it over with the sand dripping through. Yes. What the hell difference Whatever. Rasmus risk the line and sees a major difference. Moving forward in this team, and it's just he starts to have a little bit of a spark and excitement. Does that make him want to continue or Is he just I need a change. I mean these air these questions that will will never really know until You know, uh, you know, move is made Bob's tweet here, Krystal. I love Risto Bob's tweet here, Bob Seagrave. I'm going to read this tweet. After The next segment after the next commercial break. We're not going to course with just yet. We're gonna grab Patrick and Lockport. But this is the tweet Riv. This is the tweet. That's that is the conversation. I'm even circling about my phone screen here. This is the tweet. I'm not even gonna scrolling. Hire Patrick in Lockport. Go ahead, Patrick, You're on the line. Gentlemen. Good morning. Thanks for taking my call. Long time life. Thank you for waiting, Patrick. Thank you for waiting. I appreciate your loyalty. Hey, you know it's rare that I call in, but it is deserved because this team is completely different. I watched this whole season and people are like, Why are you still watching? Basically it was Dylan Cousins and Jacob Bryson were keeping me going. When the change was made. Who's down? Granato? Who is this guy? It doesn't matter. The team is playing amazing and well, looking into Granado a little bit further. He's not a nobody. I mean, at first, you know, I didn't know the name, but this team is playing differently. And Darlene specifically And I don't know. I mean, it's a small sample size. But if someone finally have the key to make this kid play I mean, you gotta You gotta give him a hard look, I'm not saying by any means he's a lock, but they're playing. He's playing totally different team is battling. They're actually becoming a tough team to play against. You were not like that at the beginning of the year. I don't buy that old. There's no pressure off them. There's no pressure on them because they lost 18 year old. Any game. They could have turned that around in your cruiser. They did not. This team is different and last point, Colin Miller just touch on him quick. I don't think he belongs on the team. I think he's a liability. It might be a bias, but I'm curious about your opinion. Okay, So we have the conversation about Thanks for the call. By the way again. I'm going to read this tweet after the break. And I think this is this is a huge tweeted. And I'm not trying to fake T something. This tweet Craig falls right into your wheelhouse, okay? Right in your wheelhouse, and you're not connected on it, which is perfect. So you can't read it before him. What do you think about the Miller situation? He said. He's a train wreck. You know if someone said if someone says I'm you know, I am onto our Miller. I'm I would. I'd say I'm keeping Mon tour over Miller right now, but I think both of them in the future won't be here. What do you want your thoughts on that roof? Yeah, I would do the exact opposite me. Personally, I would. I would be keeping my bond tour over. Miller. Um, is what did the collar stay color? Miller was Huh? Disaster. Correct disaster. I think I actually said train..

Do things like that s so Yeah, just you know, and then I try to what I try to do in the afternoon when I have a little bit of time and I want to write a little bit like yesterday. I wrote an article about the bills and You know what they should do? Trading with the back with their number 30 pick whether they should trade it or keep it. So what I do then is I in weather like yesterday I tried to work outside. You know, I go on my porch because I want to enjoy it. I don't want to miss out on any of the weather because if it's gone in a few days, it won't be here. Necessarily. I'll say why didn't I take advantage of that weather and said outside a little more often? I mean, I'm with you if I know it's gonna be nice outside all plan days ahead, thinking, all right. I can do projects outside. I can liken work outside yesterday I assemble the new grill outside, you know, that came through that together. And Ah, you know, just good. Good to be out there. I've got to do some yard work. I mentioned that yesterday on the show we mentioned somehow hydrangeas came up and this is the beauty of of, um Our job, So you know this very well. I mentioned pruning hydrangeas, and the guy sent me a message on Twitter who's like a 40 year experience landscaper about Pruning hydration. That is amazing, he said, said Not surprising, but amazing. He said, Send me a picture. I'll let you know exactly what you should be doing for them. All right? Fantastic. Great. I love it. Thanks to Norm who I sent him a picture and he told me exactly what to do. Because he's worked for like the Olmsted Park Anyway. Good stuff. So if you ever wonder why we bring things up And ask questions. It's because sometimes it's very rewarding. And we get the answers they were looking for. In this case. Ah, landscaping so anyway, and they had an appointment yesterday had to go to a swell so I go there and You know, I I'm I mean, I'm in this office like a doctor's appointment, basically, and I'm in this office and I go to sit down with a lady to take care of some stuff afterwards. And she sees my name and she says, Are you the guy on the radio? And I said, Yes, That's me. And she says, Oh, my gosh, I'm such a big sports radio listener and this woman it was great Jeremy like she we were talking about like Sports radio talk radio like back when Murph was on B, e N and Bulldog was coming up, and she was naming names of, you know, stand bare and she was listening to and it was awesome. And she knew you very well and who you were. And you know, I told I did the morning show with you this morning. She asked me how here twins were and all that kind of stuff. It was amazing, and I just those of the kinds of things that You know, I get a little bit like wow. Like people pay attention. They listen. It's really cool, you know, And this was someone who has just listen to sports radio, a long time and sports on television and buffalo, and she knew all the people and all the personalities. We talked about how Ricky's are had passed away. Not too recently. You know, I grew up watching Rick obviously on Channel seven and things like that. And when I hear stuff like that, and when I have interactions with people like that Just makes me feel really good. You know? Mm hmm. Yeah, that's nice. And, um, you know, the other part of it is I don't know if you've had this experience to the vaccine. Just passing that info. Along has been We're able to. This is where you use the platform just tweeting out links to vaccines. I mean, I'm not actually doing anything but people say like, Oh, thank you so much. I did. I couldn't find a link. I finally got one I got in. I got my mother and and, you know, team effort on the vaccine front. So We're here to help. Yeah, we're gonna help the hockey scene, too. By the way, and I'm an offering free advice. They found the table free advice about the high to the hockey team for years, so They don't always follow it. But Anyway, this year would have been. Hey, she probably fire your coach because he's killing your talent, And then they finally fired their coach, and it sure looks like he was actively killing the talent on the team. I mean, it's it's Ah, harsh thing to say, and the sample size isn't exactly small arms are isn't exactly large. It is kind of small. What Isn't the universal opinion about the way the sabers play now that they have a different coach. Don Coronado, who we talked to yesterday, isn't Is it not universal. It has to be that now the talented players specifically they're talented Defenseman. Specifically Rasmus, Darlene and maybe Casey, Middle stat. And maybe you don't know if there's anybody else in here. They have talent. They complain the system does not destroy A unicorn skating shooting defenseman in Rasmus. Darlene. Instead we are seeing him come back breaking you said Let Rasmus fly! Let him be a peacock! Let him fly! He's doing it. He's back. Oh, yeah, he's back. I tweeted after the game last night. That sense. Ralph Krieger's been fired. Casey, Middle set has looked like a legit NHL player. And Rasmus Darlene has looked like Denny Freaking Pot vent.

"Team instigators. W g r 5 50 msg. They're back at it tonight in New Jersey. Seven o'clock puck Drop 6 30 pregame show with our guest here. Marty Biron and his partner there. Brian Duff, six o'clock or in W. G. R 5 50 with Chopin the bulldog again. That's there in New Jersey. A Z. I said boys who is this New Jersey this new sabers team that we've we've been watching lately, much more improved team, I would say and very impressively, Lee not not a better team when you look at on paper personnel wise, but a much better team. As you put the 20 players together the way they play defensively, passings better positioning is better. Their attack is better S O Is some way is somewhere inside of me. I'm like, man. What would that team of looked like when You have to make a bid. You had Borden. You have Jack Eichel. You had Eric stall? Yeah, those players playing the way that they have the last four or five games like that. We're living in the past. I know, but it makes him once. I don't want to go there, but it makes me mad. So, speaking of living in the past, I was the weekend riff. The weekend was fantastic. Um, you know, No. No hockey this weekend for the family and just a really nice opportunity to kind of Chilo and deflate a little bit and watch a little bit of A little bit of hockey and let me tell you something. Tell us this this saber, the saber team right now. I had a smile on my face. I had a smile on my face. I know it's been a really, really long year for these guys. Um, you know, I just find it amazing. That when you watch this team right now, you understand that there is there is skill on this game. We do. We do have some skill hockey players. We have some guys that know how to play the game and And and what? You what? What I watched and what eyewitness is that It's amazing what happens when players start to have a new a new lease on life? They start to have a new opportunity and confidence is slowly being built, and you're seeing changes in the attitude of each and every player on this team, and it's It's not just gonna all of a sudden happened rate. Right away, but you can see the pace. In which these players are playing at is completely different than what we've watched for the entire season. And I don't know if you guys have watched the same thing, but I'm going to tell you this speed. In which a lot of these players are playing right now. And there's there's They're more confidence and look like they're having fun. And that zbig part all right, So here, here's where we're going today. Lots of trade talk because the trade deadline is Monday, so Everyone buckle up for that is we have some names being tossed around with sabers. At least Darrin Dragger has been has been quoted is talking about some of the players. We'll talk about those guys in a little bit again. Sabers tonight seven o'clock in New Jersey. Games on MSG and W G R 5 50, you know, obviously with with the way that things have been going with the team lately, I don't know if I learned something today about Don Renato. Okay. I read this in the rundown and Where is it here? Did you hear his quote? It's where he says. Well, basically written here, it says dog, Renato got his dream job at the most inopportune time. Fixing the sabers isn't easy. Neither is cancer at 38 or near Death Hospital stay in 2019. And then he's quoted as saying. The one you don't know about. As I was hit by a car when I was five. So in 18 game losing streak is nothing. I had no idea. So someone said. Someone said to me today, they said. Bad lockers and or or really good luck. I mean, you know, depending on how you look at it, but That being said, is there Is there going to be a conversation where maybe he can make a case for himself? To keep the coaching job here. I guess. Yeah, I asked you guys that question from the prematurely last week, and it was it was after his first game. And you know the team look better. But now we're starting to settle in and see a better hockey team here. Now I never thought of Don Granado as NHL head coach when he first joined the sabers, and you know, I really thought a great assistant Really good assistant, a guy that that has maybe more of an ex and nose background and development background and can talk to the players and make him better, But I never saw him as just authority figure. Behind a band showing the locker room. I didn't And maybe that's because I've never seen it and the NHL level and really didn't pay attention to where he had been a head coach before or how he handled that as a head coach. Now from the first press conference, see Dead the does zoom call at five o'clock, You know the day of the game or whatnot. When the morning skate. We didn't talk to him because it was covered. You know, protocols and the player on the Bruins went on it whatever, five o'clock, he says. It's gonna be different. I'm the coach. Now I'm the head coach. Now practice is going to be different. We're gonna play different and I was like, Whoa! Like this is Don Granado d nice assistant coach that I thought itwas there was an authority. Actor and how he was speaking and I'm seeing it every time he took the talks to the media, or every time he talks to the players like he's doing right now on the screen. If you're watching on MSG like there's an authority that I did not know he had. So when I first said at us for the end of the year, they're going to go get somebody else. Now I'm not as 100% convinced that they will not Look at Don Coronado more I would, you know, so maybe it's not the guy for long term, but I definitely learned something about him and how he coaches that I did not know before, and that's why this audition. If you want to call it is important for Don Coronado. It's a very important for him. He's getting an opportunity and right now is making the best out of it. So I think there's a possibility that Well, there's definitely a possibility. You have to look and at his file and spend more time on it. What do you say Rivers? You making a case for himself for the head coaching job? Yeah. Listen, I think Marty flat out, said that he is Underestimated this. This man I will not sit here and say that, Yes, he's making a case for himself. I think things it's far too early. We all do not know where Kevin Adams and his mindset and where he wants to take this team. No one knows that. But Kevin and his internal group, but I'll tell you this. I think that dawn Granado has done a real nice job because I'm gonna tell you with what I see in a short period of time. And and the tendencies that these these players are playing with. I think that there's more focus on You know, a defensive minded game like and I'll just and what I mean by that is like when you look The last name that The state. The sabers played against the Rangers. We go into.

"Overtime. Pick up the win here and KeyBank Center Buffalo getting a point in the OT losses. We welcome you here. To the press box. I'm Brian calls E O. This is the official savers. Paul William Belts postgame show. Well, the sabers and very strong 20 minutes, And then the team looked tired and also, of course, credit. The Rangers for turning it on is they dominate the 2nd and 3rd and then in the goateed despite some good possession by the sabers, they Really couldn't get much going. And an eventual two on one with The Rangers, arguably their best two players, the bandage and Panera. That's going to be a goal pretty much every time coming in, and despite an incredible performance from the sabers, netminder Dustin took our ski The Rangers pick up the overtime victory by a score of 3 to 2. Coming up here on the post game will be heading to the locker room and the zoom call is we will get some player reaction to this OT loss. Also, we will get you all the necessary highlights and scores from around the league. Col. Hamilton's take coming up and also interim head coach Don Coronado, his press conference As soon as he stepped to the podium, We will take you there live for this one. But the sabers probably We could sit here and say they didn't deserve to win the game. They were good for the first accommodation of the Rangers. Just I think being better in the 2nd and 3rd and yes, the sabers, maybe having some fatigue. Setting in throughout those with the being three games and four nights, But every team's kind of playing this busy schedule sabers will play again on Saturday here against the Rangers. And I guess that's just how the teams are gonna have to deal with it right now. Coaches. They're frustrated because they really don't have practice time. Because the day in between playing three out of four. You can't really have a hard practice. They've got a Arrest and that's what the sabers did this morning. Not even holding unofficial morning skate. They just had meetings virtually But nevertheless, 32 and the shot totals down the stretch to kind of show what happened in the second in the third. The Rangers In the second in the third, outshoot the sabers by a combination of 36 to 10, 15 and 21. In terms of the shots for the Rangers, and just two and eight for Buffalo. Okay, before we get some locker room reaction, Let's get a thought or two in here from Paul Hamilton. All the Rangers really.

"In his own zone. Picked up on brought away by Yuki. How're you got it in over the line the hall. I'll try to get it in front to Thompson and couldn't get it there. Now it's increase again, and just Serkin will flop on it and hang onto it. Take a look at her Taco Bell take here tonight. Don Coronado took this team over and he said to the guys, he said, and a week from now we are going to be a better team, and that's exactly what he's been able to do now, he said. Again. From this point on, we've improved next week. We're going to be even better, so that little bit of a short term long term thing is really working out good for these guys. And don Hernando has done an excellent job. Communicating and getting his game plan across to this group and then executing it. In particularly helpful is when you're losing mode like buffalo awas that you have a short term memory. There's the puck in the corner Rangers holding it in there, spun around by Rooney on the boards back to Rooney again. He kicked it free into the corner. It's recovered by darling. Dolly and zipping around behind his net to shape the back checker pass on the wing, a post so in over the line, a post so try to slip it through, but it's broken up on the Rangers come back with a pass through center that's taken back and not get over the line. Fired up the Senate race again off Reinhardt down the ace. There'll be no icing. Less than 12 minutes to go here in the opening period, right back to center again, squeezed ahead by he, though he got it in over the line, but that's far enough on Buffalo brings it back. License like a bump, but the Buffalo bench and not the lines run right into the sabers bench. Captain, thereby Skinner and he couldn't get a shot away, got hooked right then behind and it was no penalty called. He's yelling at the referee. There's a backhand and that comes around on the boards off the post. The center ice. Whipped in over the line slides down into the corner. Taking back my aspirin. Last one to leave it for Shay and he does Shan's dragging it free wheels and around behind the Net. Today, everyone's trying to figure out who the San Francisco 40 Niners traded up for at the third overall pick. I think we see our potential as a group and funny of steps that we have to tell. You know, I don't take up to you like this for granted. I mean, put down like this and being able to play in front of them. Everyone's kind of excited to get going. It's a lot of great guys. They're still yes. No radio home up Buffalo sabers. From our flagship station in Buffalo. This is the Paul William Belts, pregame show with show in the bulldog. All right, the sabers and the Philadelphia Flyers downtown tonight might show up in the bulldog here, Paul Hamilton In a moment, this is the Paul William Belts. Pregame show on W gr sabers have two chances tonight and Wednesday to win a game in March for the first time this year. And they have not won a game in regulation in March. Since 2018, which is pretty much insane. Even with last year's March, scheduled being cut short Bulldog earlier, I asked you about your feelings watching Saturday's game in Boston play out in the sabers having a chance to win a lead. Going into the third period. I was really I mean, I'm not looking for credit. I was more focused on the regulation win part and it got to a point, like two to the winning goal was scored pretty late. But for a minute, I'm sort of watching the game as if Boston had one more goal that it had. Cause I want that regulation. Oh, I'm of two minds. I want it to end. For their sake and then I also sort of wanted to live forever because it's so incredible. It's remarkable. Yeah. Yeah, I think probably a lot of fans are are experiencing those sorts of mixed feelings. I wasn't thinking about regulation as much, although there's a difference worth pointing out. Um, just I feel like I want Those guys to win a game soon. You know, like I just It's just gotta be so tough. To be mired in this and, um I just for their mental well being. It just cannot be a good way to be living right now to just keep losing these games. So, um, you know if they've got you know, a team coming in here in Philadelphia That is, you know, I thought this was a team that we contend for the top of the division. And, um, you know, goaltending is let them down. Carter Heart, son. I'm going to play either of these games because he's so lost right now. But there you know, there are point out of a playoff spots. Another sunk, but they're going the wrong way. Philadelphia for sure. Let's bring in Paul Hamilton sabers and flyers Tonight sabers. 16 points still Yeah. I mean, I guess that number doesn't change much. When you lose 17 games in a row, it is 12 fewer than the second fewest in the league, and that is a gap for such a small portion of the schedule. Paul in 33 games. 31 Team league. They've managed to have the bottom to themselves by double digits. Yeah, and unfortunately, this isn't a great year for for the draft. So, uh, I actually if I were the sabers, I might give some serious serious thought to trading down even if I got the first back. You're going to get a good hockey player for sure, but you might, you might be able to, really they need some assets. And you might be able to gather up. Well, not might be. You would be able to gather up a lot of assets if you were to, uh Trade that pick whether it's the first or second overall, so I would give in this year's draft. I would give that some serious thought. Well, you need someone to really want that pick Paul and what you're saying if it's not thought to be a particularly strong year of the top of the draft and You know, maybe that's going to get, uh, that might be challenging. Although, you know, all it takes is CNN's Joe. No power. Somebody, right? Yeah. This is the NHL. You get you get G m's to make goofy trades. Okay. I hadn't thought about this once. Is it a weird year because of Cove it in some way or just no. Well, it is. It is definitely because you know, junior hockey hasn't even started yet. And may not s O. I mean, you know, in Canada, right? Yes. In Canada. I'm sorry. Thanks. Good job. Thank you for correcting me on that, but that's very true. So you know, a lot of scouting hasn't been done The colleges they've been done. With the legal ones, and it's been done. And the U. S. H. Al. It's been done. But the Ohh Ellen the Comeback League in the Western Hockey League, it hasn't so that makes it a little bit challenging that you haven't been able to scout those players. I mean, you've seen it before. But you certainly would want us. Not go on. While I haven't seen him in a year. Or, you know, they're playing part time in the HL, which can help you or may not help you, You know, type of these guys are the guys already drafted have been there, but Um, you know the it zits gonna be tougher that way, But it's just from what I'm reading. The talent pool isn't as good in this year's draft. Paul Quick update on Jack Eichel from his coach will hear the coach himself. Don Coronado. Elaborate on such as it was on Michael status here in the next few minutes, but it was your interpretation. Well. Granado still thinks he's going to be able to play this year before the season's over. Said, has been a couple of days since they've talked, but he said he felt good. Last time they spoke. And you know he doesn't believe that it's going to be a season ending injury and that he does believe that he will be back before the end of the season. But he said, it's been two or three days and see you talk to Jack. Are there any details at all? Like his cycle been around? Is he doing any kind of work out that.
