"Evidently, the subject of 2000 mules was addressed by Joe Scarborough and Mika brzezinski on morning Joe. Now the way this came about is that a reporter named Elise Jordan was in Georgia. And she was doing a kind of a focus group of Republican voters. And the subject of 2000 meals came up and these guys were pretty enthusiastic, but what I want to focus on here is the reaction from Scarborough because it really is revealing the kind of bubble that these people live in. They, in a sense, presume the truth of their point of view. They don't engage with opposing ideas. They were incapable of it. They're intellectually completely shut down. And so they think that by using terms like grift and conspiracy theory, they have sort of made a point, of course, conspiracy is do exist. By the way, I don't claim in 2000 mules that we're dealing with a conspiracy. I claim that we're dealing with a coordinated operation in which one guy is Zuckerberg puts up the drop boxes. Another guy Mark Elias, Stacey Abrams, fight to weaken the signature requirements, the mules are deployed, deployed by the nonprofits. So this doesn't necessarily have to be a single conspiracy directed by kind of a Don Corleone, the Democratic Party is full of various conciliar and crooks and thugs. And in some ways, people like Joe and Mika are a part of it. And so their job is to fend off any exposes that bring attention and evidence to bear on this kind of crooked democratic operation. So here we go. When you start talking about conspiracy theories, they call conspiracy theories. You know, I know there are a lot of people that are watching that are just shocked. Their heads are blowing up. And. Then he goes on to say that these conspiracy theories are quote whack a mole. Quote, you prove one bizarre conspiracy theory about mules. They have another conspiracy theory about a dude from Italy with lasers. See, this is what I call an attempt to link a plausible theory with a lot of evidence supporting it, technological evidence, which is undeniable. It's funny how the left is now kind of backing off on the geo tracking stuff. Video evidence is undeniable. I don't even know what they're talking about the dude from Italy with lasers, but this is an effort to take something legitimate, link it to something absurd and basically act as if both things are equally absurd. Get rid of that conspiracy theory, they come up with yet another conspiracy theory. Unfortunately for all the conspiracy theories, they go and talk about Chinese cult websites, religious cult websites, and then he repeats the same mantra. This was the cleanest election in American history, which by the way we have them say in the movie. So this four dumb Joe Scarborough. I don't even think he's seen the movie. And this is what I mean when I say these guys live in their own in their own vacuum. Now, interestingly, they try to deal with this issue of wait a minute if they're upset with Trump for not conceding the election. They go, well, what about Stacey Abrams? She never conceded the election. And then they have to do a kind of hemming and hawing and essentially saying, well, yeah, she should have conceded, but you know, let's remember that she didn't promulgate the kind of lies that Trump did, so the reason I pay attention to all this is that it's a subject of sort of anthropological interest. This is the this is the kind of animal that we're dealing with. And in some ways, there's no point arguing with them. They're incapable of engaging in argument. You think that they'd be like, okay, well, let's spring to that, Sean. And let's see if we can show that his theories are nonsense. They would never dare to do that because they realize that to bring me on would be would be lethal for them. I would just start going point by point by point and they would look like complete idiots. And of course their level of sophistication and dealing with these arguments is extremely poor, and they kind of know that deep down. So they rely on this kind of recitation. Now, very interestingly, if you want to gauge the impact of these kinds of shows and the fact checkers on people who have actually seen 2000 mules, let's go to Rotten Tomatoes. And ask what is the impact, not just of Scarborough, but Philip bump of The Washington Post, Amanda Carpenter, and the bulwark. She's kind of the never trumper. And Ali swensen from AP, Tom dry spot from NPR. This is sort of the left gang. They're attack dogs, if you will. And by the way, these attack dogs are not really all that form. It'll be quite frankly, once you start pushing back the dogs basically run and they start scowling and wait for another opportunity to attack and they attack in a pack because it's kind of like each of them doesn't really have much. It's like these little attack dogs that can actually harm a lion because there are so many of them. But each individual dog could never do it 'cause the line just raises its paw and basically the dog becomes like vaporized. So their strategy is to rely on their fellow snakes. And but it has no impact on people who see the film and look Rotten Tomatoes. Audience score with over 250 verified ratings, people have actually seen the movie. 100% wow. How embarrassed these fools must be when they see that. 100%, everybody who sees the movie goes is blown away by it. And as for these fact checkers, look, I mean, they're basically the masters of the art of deception. I mean, they're really good at it. And it doesn't mean that there's no place for them in a society. I mean, there are certain fields that require professional lying. I mean, you can join the CIA, for example. And maybe put your skills to use. But probably not the best idea for people like this to be in.

Brave Republicans Confront DOJ About Whitmer 'Entrapment'
"A handful of Intrepid Republicans, and it's, it shouldn't be a handful. It should be the Republicans in a unified political phalanx. But no, it takes the brave ones to go out front. And here I'm talking about, I'm gonna name them. It's led by Marjorie Taylor Greene, but you've got Scott Perry, Dan bishop, Andrew Clyde, Andy Biggs, bob good, Mary Miller, Paul gosar, Andy Harris, Louie gohmert, Thomas massie Matt Gaetz, well, what are they doing? In the aftermath of the exoneration of two key defendants in the Whitmer kidnapping trial, the pressing attorney general Garland for some specific answers. Now, trying to get answers out of Garland is not an easy business. This is like going to the consigliere of Don Corleone and saying, hey, listen, we're we want to find out more about the mafia. You're actually talking to the mafia. But nevertheless, this needs to be done. And so this is a stinging letter and a demand. Of Merrick Garland copied a Christopher wray, and the questions themselves are telling, let me just read a couple of them. Who within the DoJ and the FBI knew about or was involved in the plot to kidnap governor Whitmer, tell us. Remember, this is a letter being sent by the legislators to the executive branch, which is accountable to the legislative branch. Number two, to what extent would the DoJ and the FBI motivated by the 2020 presidential election to paint political opponents as domestic terrorists specifically Vis-à-vis the plot to kidnap governor Whitmer and the events of the U.S. capitol on January 6th, 2021. In other words, this is not just at the FBI staging orchestrating infiltrating and moving along a plot. This is the FBI timing those events to coincide with an election. So the issue here being raised is the election interference, very important issue because these revelations came to light in early October of 2020.

"Though the level of criminal activity, it is nothing less than astonishing. When I saw the film and I have the privilege of being in the film because with me, a number of Salem radio hosts were in the film commenting on some of the information that we saw. But I just have to tell you, it is the level of crime that's astonishing to me. Now, this is not just a couple of people. This is something that was thoroughly planned involved thousands of people, thousands of people. How is it possible that we could live in a country where something like this has happened? I mean, the fact that you have it, you have the videotapes. You have all of the evidence. This is not conjecture. I wish it were. Part of me wishes it were, you know, and just an idea. But there's no question it happened. But my question to you is, how is it possible that this level of criminal activity fraud with the U.S. election could have happened in our lifetimes? How do we get to this place? I think I can answer that in two different levels. One is that a lot of the let's call institutional guardrails of our society have come crumbling down. We can't trust the FBI to investigate. We find secretaries of state who colluded in, let's just say, you know, reducing the signature requirements of the bank, which actually made it much easier to forge checks at the bank. So what you have is a whole political party, the Democrats who have traditionally, by the way, have been the party of voter fraud. They've been doing voter fraud since tammany hall in the 19th century. I think what makes the 2020 election different is there was a massive ramping up of the mail in ballots. And so this absentee ballot fraud, which is the most common type of fraud, normally affected two or 3% of an election because it was a small number of votes, but now you suddenly had large numbers of votes being cast by mail, the opportunity for ramping up the fraud became huge, and the Democrats couldn't avoid succumbing to the temptation.

"Sure. Will Oscar she will lead them to the national title. It seems like it might be there years. Thanks, bob. Thank you. Right now, I really do think Kentucky is a major threat to win it all. Hey, thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Let's continue with Jim in St. Louis. A hello, Jim. Hey, Paul, I couldn't help myself when you said that nothing's happened at auburn since Bruce pearl's been there. Nothing except his assistant got arrested for bribes and all he got was a two game suspension. Jim, that's what we call lawyering up. He didn't know anything about it. Listen, I remember and I think Bruce said this though when he was on that long ago that I had sent him a text after that because I felt terrible. I thought, I thought pearl was going to get fired. And I remember I was, I was sitting at the airport and he called me and said, listen, I didn't know anything about this. And I said, I coach, I believe you. I mean, who am I? To challenge the integrity of Bruce pearl. As I say in Don Corleone, didn't know what soldiers were doing out in the street. Well, he didn't, but the guy that he told to put the kill out did. Okay, well. Hi. Those guys were jamming in the lodge called plausible deniability. Well, I'm not a lawyer, but I'll take your word for it. Yeah, hopefully. Bruce. Hey, when Bruce pearl is at the final four and he wins it all and he's cutting down the nets. There's not an auburn fan in America where we'll remember or care. And I don't think they do anymore. And unfortunately, our fortunately. You can choose your side. There is so little respect for the NCAA and the slipshod way that it enforces its rules that very few of us care anymore about what happens in that regard. Let us take a break. John taught you next hour Andy Katz. We'll get test thoughts on Kentucky and auburn and some of the other issues. And of course the Joanne.

"And so young people come in them and they get thrown at whatever is the sort of most expedient thing to have the lowest paid members of your staff do, which is just not the same as helping somebody become a well recognized voice who improves their skills, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So I think that's a tough landscape for today's young writers and there's been a lot of unionization in the sector, which aims to address people's concerns, but it's really hard to write into a collective bargaining agreement like we're going to take career development more seriously in a real way. You can say we want X mentorship or why professional development, but it's like, you can make somebody pay you more. They sign on the dotted line, your salad goes up and more money will arrive in your paycheck. But to make the bosses care about your intellectual development over time. That's not the kind of thing you can bargain for. They have to want to do it. It has to be part of the mission of the institution. And I'm not sure we quite have the right institutions for that. Well, Matt, thanks so much for coming by. Best of luck with your ongoing ventures and navigating the world of COVID with your family. And we hope to talk to you again in the future. You shouldn't give it the Don Corleone, right? Good luck with your new business, as.

"I dare say that Republicans might strike that one down, so probably very smart, providing to go to the leader and taking us it's gonna happen or not, And then the third topic of conversation they probably to have John. It's Hunter by why Republicans are angry under Biden was not probably better in this election. There. He sits in Washington's very inviting target for senators to investigate. Now comes to my Jonathan Godfather, Don Corleone in the funeral parlor looking Look at what they did to my boy, and I just you know, a Senate hearings involving 100 body will not be pleasant for the body family. Still maybe Mitch McConnell and Joe Biden Joe Biden heavy No McConnell since he came to Washington, 85 McConnell by the spinach 73. Maybe they can kind of find a way to work together and not have things his scorched earth and they may sink the Biden harriscampaign has put out a statement about what is to be done. With the virus. I believe it begins with naming a panel, however, their recommendations of a national mandate for mass that would require the governors to comply also 800,000 jobs Corps for trace pattern tracing What else Bill? Can can Mr Biden do between now and inauguration there? Well, not much really, Since he's not controls the Iranian government. You just kind of tapped into the key. He can talk to Andrew Cuomo. He could talk to Gavin Newsom. You could talk to Blue State governors. Governors visor in Illinois. And talk about their approach. But when he comes in the office, I think he's gonna be faced with this challenge. The challenge is going to be his test course, which is led by scientists in academics and Archer in the Trump administration. Scientists and academics don't know anything about running governments. They don't know anything running about running politics, and they don't know anything about economics. Jonah scientists will say We should have a lock down for six weeks to get this done what they're doing Anglo with a partially joined to Germany. I think that would be disastrous for the bite administration to do so. So I was gonna have to figure out what to do in the way of recommendations. John versus mandates. I don't see how you could actually enforce a mass mandate. United States of America we're going to do hire 100,000 cops. No, no, I thought it was. I thought it was discontinuous with What we've learned over the last year. There are states that will not comply. And that puts Mr Biden in a position of stamping his foot and getting nothing done. Right now. I'm very, very simply that so he's gonna have to work with the Blue States Governors very simply and try to figure out effective ways to do this, and nothing has to figure out Jonas also the implementation of this Yes, Operation Warp Speed provides the money to do this, but he's got to figure out a way to actually get them to get the vaccines and how to hand them out in a good manner. And also John, what happens to those individuals who do not want to take the right. I understand that the law is a little primitive. I'm not a lawyer. I don't think you are either, but I'm not sure the Constitution There's anything Constitution says now shall take a vaccine. I think it's a joke. It's a very complicated situation over what government can do versus what the states could do. 1/10 amendment rights we've had despite California John with regard to vaccinating Children for school, so What happens when somebody decides to sue the federal government over vaccines because the conservative trump court one of these days, But I'm gonna have to find a way to encourage people attacked, Take the vaccine and also join us got to prioritize who get the person that gets complicated. Old people get the final recommendation. We have 30 seconds. The vice president needs a portfolio is the virus a good portfolio for the vice president? I don't think so. John. I would give the vice president Big Texas, California. There's kind of an actual marriage. I would give her race relations because she is the first woman of color too old that job And then Thirdly, I would just kind of put her in the traditional funeral and fundraisers task was well, just kind of keep her busy attesting. They don't seem to be terribly close right now. She didn't do any press during the election. There's not much affinity there, and she just doesn't come to the drama's qualified as Joe Biden. So I think you just kind of after limiter portfolio, keeping her active and I'll be one missing stories to see emerging in the first few months. How happy she and her people argument what they've been handed a Bill Whalen of the Hoover Institution, I'm John. Major League Baseball celebrates Don Mattingly, the manager of the Marlins, He is named manager of the year. What's striking here is that he's the fifth person in history. To win manager of the year after being when he played for the Yankees Most valuable player. He joins Frank Robinson, Don Baylor, Kirk Gibson and Joe Torey..

S. is somebody just sat on the tax line. very reminiscent of Alec Baldwin's called differences Alec Baldwin was calling his daughter right so I don't know if that's I don't yeah I mean this woman is like what twenty five twenty eight years old maybe reaming utterance she just works for me I'm sure he's not pay an or an arm and a leg either. I just want to say that as far as the case against Robert deniro goes for being a massive jerk I think that case is closed and we can all officially agree that he's not a nice person but but at the same time I wanna remind all the eye peas in the room right now that you should be taking his advice come twenty twenty about who you're gonna vote for because he does know more than you guys he just likes to yell at people someone says who is he talking to is talking to his assistant yeah he's talking to someone who works for him real nice. his life is so stressful I always Morrow wow my father always said this and it's true that you can always held someone's real character by how they treat the help people who work for them I mean Joe Biden says thank you to the waiters I don't think Robert De Niro does that. Biden makes fun of the waiters lists. all right we'll be right back on how.
Details of Trump’s call to Ukraine revealed: ’I would like you to do us a favour’
"But I begin with what has been such another wild newsday his day with so much going on consider the noticeably subdued at times even beleaguered president trump holding this first press conference sense. Nancy Pelosi came out for impeachment minutes in the House has gotten so much closer to backing an impeachment probe. Two hundred and Sixteen Democrats are count right now and Donald Trump's almost surreal meeting yes of of all days today in the United States with the president of Ukraine. You're looking at the man that we now know. Donald trump secretly pressured on a phone call to do something thing that attorneys general have resigned over that is the kind of thing that's not allowed in the United States to investigate a political rival Joe Biden and that is what the notes Nicole reveal deal throughout tonight's broadcast. I'm going to stay on the facts and the law but when I say certain things that sound like they're a criticism of the President I will remind you we are reporting. The News of the facts have emerged about the president so when I say he's doing something that would be illegal for. Most people do inside. The United States sounds bad. It's actually just what is in these notes highly highly incriminating they reveal the president asking for what he calls a quote favor an investigation into Joe Biden. Who at the time of this July was someone that looked like they might be the opponent to Donald Trump in the general election? At least he may have thought so and that the president was willing to strike a deal to get it and shows immediately after the Ukrainian president discussed this defense offense money that was so vital donald trump says he would like you to do us a favor and then ask about what appears to be a reference to Clinton's emails that that alone would just sound strange but then Ukrainian president goes on this is from the brand new notes. We have to say something very specific. He spoke with Rudy Giuliani recently and plans to meet with him again. Donald Trump then brings up by saying it would be great if the Ukrainians would work with Attorney General Bill to investigate Biden Haydn. The president responds that he has a new prosecutor in Ukraine and that will be a one hundred percent his person who will look into the situation. You're seeing the deal oh being formed and then Donald Trump says he'll have regional Yanni and attorney general bill bar follow up on all of this. It's all here in black and white this. This is what has come out just today. The president demanding foreign prosecutor investigate his domestic political rival. This is one of the greatest examples of an abuse of government power for and it doesn't matter if that prosecutor that is being pressured to do a political pro to take out on arrival or Joe Biden. It doesn't matter whether they're here in the US or overseas overseas what those notes reflect is a classic mafia-like shakedown of a foreign leader. This is how Mafia bostock's BOSTOCK's. What have you done for us. We've done so much for you but there's not much the prosperity I have a favor. I WanNa ask you what does that favor. Of course the favor is to investigate his political rival to investigate the Biden's chairman shift not mincing words there in his response he also said these notes were even worse and more shocking talking then he might have expected. This conduct is bad. What's detailed here to put it plainly and this is of course and this is important before I bring in our experts that you know this night everything yeah. I've just told you is just. What is public tonight? It's what the White House has been forced and compelled including with bipartisan pressure in the Senate to reveal what is not in public tonight but we are already getting vibes and energy and mood about is the entire whistle blower complaint that blew the lid on all of this and I can tell you in just the last few hours that was privately that is to say under the classified rules turned over to the intelligence committees in Congress and they are dealing with the complaint in private so I don't have those details for you but the Democrats who have reviewed it are already saying it's troubling had the opportunity as have members of the committee to read the whistleblower complaint. I found the allegations deeply disturbing. I also found on them very credible. I can understand why the inspector general found them credible. Even without the benefit yet of the inspector general's full analysis analysis. That's a reference to the trump appointed official in the intelligence community this inspector general who under the law deemed this urge incredible people that got us to this point. Adam Schiff basically saying that while he's not yet able to reveal the details of what's in this complaint we have some of the mood music from the White House notes and and he's waiting to get more from the people blowing the whistle inside the trump administration now those members of Congress got. This whistle blower complaint the right around the same time. Donald Trump stepped out there and tried to keep all eyes on him at this press conference and we cover a lot of these. I'm only going to show you parts of it that we deem newsworthy or that are relevant to fact checking checking but it was not a typical trump press conference. He seemed at times meandering as I mentioned earlier beleaguered but he did in his own way. Defend everything about what even some Republicans are saying incriminating in the notes of this call which was very innocent call very very very innocent very nice. Call fact Lindsey Graham said to me when he read very interesting. Good man is a smart man. He said I can't can't believe it. I never knew you could be this really nice to a person. I didn't think you had that in you to be so nice. I was Nice Nice to a lot of people people don't understand that joining night for our special coverage by former civil prosecutor from the southern district of New York and a former counsel to the mayor of New York knick Ackerman who was a Watergate special prosecutor and Eleanor clift reporting for us from Washington where she's a correspondent for the daily Beast good evening to everyone Maya what is the significance of the White House notes that have now come to the public eye these call notes. I think you've already stated are a make it very clear that Donald Donald Trump spent most of a call almost all of the notes focused specifically on asking the Ukrainian president to reopen an investigation on Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and to eccentrically do it as he is dangling Ling. We've been good to you as presidents. Alinsky says Oh. Yes and I need to come to buy more defense weapons since and that's when he says we've been good to you. You haven't been so good to us so when you put all that together and when almost everything thing that Donald trump wants to focus on is the what they can do. Ukraine can do for him and then says he's going to send his personal attorney attorney Rudy Giuliani and his attorney general. It's pretty staggering. It's kind of like the mob boss who says I've been good to you right. I've been real good to you got to me. They used to prosecute my bosses this if you gave this to me. I'd say it's a typical typical transcript of what I get that I would put into evidence in the course of a mob boss trial. It is right out of Don Corleone. He goes through this in talks about how the Europeans have not been good to him and then he goes on to say look look at but the United States is very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn't you say that it's reciprocal. There's a -serily because things are happening are not good but the United States has been very very could right and he wants. He wants what he calls favor and the favor is doing something just so. We stay on this for everyone watching because there's been so many things it's happening. The favor is something that if you were ordered to do it it would be an unlawful order in the United States. Is that correct. That's correct if you had if you if you had a boss when you were. DOJ and they I said I want an investigation of political rival. Go do it. That's an unlawful order totally. I'm off so what happens. Donald Trump makes that order and tries to execute it through Asia Bar. He claims in here mentioned five times abroad well. It's just a stewart crime. I mean the crime is committed here in the United States. It doesn't make it any less. It's a crime and in fact this impeachment. Inquiry shouldn't be just looking at president trump. It should also be looking at a bar. Do you think people who and we're. We're not there yet because we're investigating if US officials tried to carry this out do they have criminal liability. Absolutely I think they they would have to be worried and now we have to do remember when William Bar testify when in his confirmation hearing and Senator Kamla Harris said were were you ever directed to open an investigation by the president right in your conversations about getting this job and he becomes bizarrely you unable to understand the word suggest right he in this he paused and says I'm. I'm having trouble answering the question because I don't know what you mean by suggest and we all sat go. I think it's a pretty simple word and she couldn't get him to answer the question. This seems to suggest that we know why that's a great point and something that was pressed based on him under oath by Kamla prosecutor like yourself. I want to put this in the context of what Donald Trump said he would do. In other words a lot of the bit best evidence are things that he said in public and some people didn't take him seriously and now things that have come out that he said in private people say oh. Some of his allies tonight or are making the argument well. It's out there. So how bad can it be well. No you fought tooth and nail to keep it from coming out. You kept this part of secret because it executed on the things they used to claim were jokes or hyperbole earlier. Political rhetoric in that context is let's look at Donald Trump back when the American public was assessing him. This is October twenty sixteen and he said had this is his playbook. If I win I'll get a political investigation of my political opponents knicks. He believes a bass bass could be illegal to carry out. "In this country give you a basic prism through which to see the rest of the world and even the idea of you know don Corleone sitting down with his enemies in making peace because war just gonna kill everybody in that so every piece trees reaching the world basically so we'll go to Richard in Oklahoma City and then al sorry about that I'll get you second Richard want generally about my has HA called binary B. A. N. G. E. R. K. when it was accessible and you could get to it in her eyes stone bar in it a dance floor of the stage all made out of rock and it was an Alka phone found out in what county Alabama which is just north of Jackson County in Birmingham interesting didn't know I'm going to get very cool place to visit okay as it over a bar made out of rock but I'm not really that I don't know the ins and outs of Al Capone entire life I do know that he was a cubs fan yeah and there's that ham at Wrigley Field with his guys behind him and you can see their guns in the picture thank you Richard I do know too that when I lived in the Twin Cities that there's a strong connection between Capone and and the and the city of Saint Paul which provided neutral is sort of big allowed the mob to go on vacation thank you so I believe I've stayed in the Al Capone suite at the Saint Paul hotel and that's what I was told anyway and but there were tunnels and all of the rest of and they were expected to win Dillinger or other people came through they're expected to check their guns with the local gendarmes and not commit any crimes were they there it not rob any banks not to any kidnappings and if they did that then they would be left okay Alice in Utah on coast to coast AM al yes sorry your last statement there is a beautiful loser lead and my question great hi I know that in I'm springs Arkansas that was neutral ground for a lot of bad man going back to the James gang and then in the nineteen twenties and thirties even Al Capone and others would take the train down the hot springs Arkansas which had famous old resorts and wonderfully luxurious hotels still have them and younger so can the water but it was neutral ground mop yeah a lot of other groups but it was recently told by a friend of mine used in Spokane Washington and I've never heard this before Spokane was essentially retirement town for the mafia if you live long enough in the mafia he got up in age that was one of the places you could move to and it was neutral for all of the mafia members and a lot of the other bad guys I'm just wondering if the yeah I have a long night well I know that about how trees Arkansas famously as a neutral ground and the kind of resort where a lot of meetings happen interestingly I know I keep going back to this but it keeps coming and it's also where the first spring training baseball started with the cubs the reason they went down the house really history of baseball was very connected and pro sports to the other world because one of the big appeals of all sports is to give people something to ban on right now and that was a big part of it I don't know about Spokane Washington but you make me think I could think about what do I know because most of the gangsters I had written about in my books they didn't make it to retirement age but once you did like Meyer Lansky retired in Miami beach this picture them walking a little dog lucky Luciano was deported and group to old age in Naples and I know a guy named docks doctor went to Israel and you know see where Meyer Lansky wanted to go but they wouldn't let him they wouldn't let him he wanted to go partly because friends soccer with their and they would let him because he delivered the US government wanted him back yeah and and the Golden my year with the prime minister at the time and she had lived in Milwaukee and she knew all about the mob and she said we don't want the monsters and we don't want them here I mean this is typically that generation it spoke intervention because it just might be so far west yeah it it couldn't possibly come back to haunt them you know there wasn't like it wasn't like the Poconos what you're doing right now cause trouble next year with a grudge went with on a college visit with his daughter and we're going to crank in British Columbia that'll wrap up all the calls Hey Craig hi guys I'm wondering when Lansky and Siegel got involved with Las Vegas well I know rich will know that go ahead when they did well after World War two I mean I was just reading about because reading a history about it that was a little bit more in depth which is there was another somebody else running it before Siegel that he took it over from the forget it was trying to build this big kind of monitor our idea of a modern casino as opposed to kind of an old west casino any idea that Las Vegas would be worth gambling and prostitution were legal and close enough to LA in a place planes might stop inter continental travel became new and that's the same reason why yet sports teams moving to major league teams on the west coast because now you could fly after World War two coast to coast in the bin that could be a place people could stop and somebody had started to build a casino with something else in the reading the money trail what is it ran into money trouble yeah and then Siegel took it over yeah and he was supposed to fix it at first the fine until we didn't want it and then we got it he realized how much money they're pouring into any skim the money off of it basically right and and and they found out this is what I always heard that they found out the skin money was in a bank account Switzerland and his work with girlfriend Virginia was going back and forth and getting this money and Meyer Lansky who grew up with him couldn't protect them because it's stolen from the mob yeah get to the end that again another famous speed graphic photo of but the the body of Bugsy Siegel yeah with that shot Nizari rich calling your wonderful the last part of New York I don't want to forget to mention that it really it's it's the story that goes back way before that so the the if you enjoy these mobsters stories and you enjoy the way mobsters talk about other mobsters then you're on the you're on the Richard co train here because that's what it's all about is going back to the very first mobster in a way the first gangster the first one that everybody talked about and I think it makes a pretty strong case for that being this guy Albert Hicks the last part of New York ago ship the killer and the birth of a gangster nation retorted the cubs gonna do for the rest of the season of the going to pull it together they're going to sweep the cardinals in the last season which I'm going to go on in.

"But the is got very clearly a connection to the school that goes beyond just as coaching position who he is in that city. He's been to four final fours with Kentucky. And he won the national championship with them in twenty twelve he has three hundred five and seventy one record there and has led his his various teams the end to double A tournament twenty times in twenty seven seasons. Some people have argued that the consistency. Isn't there in terms of winning it all, but when you have a sport that's tournament is as up and down and unpredictable as March madness is it's not about winning every year. It's about being in contention every year and Calipari is a guy that gets his teams to compete. Meet a guy who manages to take teams the distance at least to the final four often enough for it to be worthwhile to Kentucky to wanna make this deal. Even though I think a lifetime deal for anyone is ridiculous. How do you keep the impetus to work towards something? How do you stay up passionate and fiery about something when there's no risk of of not being able to keep your job? So it's a very interesting. A debate to have on whether anyone is ever deserving of a lifetime deal even someone like LeBron for Nike, Dan dockage seems to think this was a good idea. Kentucky needs cow because tau embraces the job. He's not stymied by the pressure and all the people he embraces it. He makes them all feel good. It's a perfect marriage for a big time crazy program and it big time. Crazy coach. So it's perfect. He's sixty you know, he's like the, you know, the Don Corleone of coaches, you'll be around to like, he's eighty five given order silently. Then you know, what? Hey, I heard you saying he wasn't going anywhere. I don't know if that's true or not. But nobody and I mean, nobody in the history of college basketball other than his mentor. Larry Brown knows how to work the system and get into his boss's pockets like John Kelly Perine, and you might be surprised to hear that din. Dockage ten seventy the fan in India that was him with Freddie and Fitz Simons was praising him when he compares him to guys like Don Corleone and says he knows better than anyone how to work the system. I mean, you do have to remember that twice. Calipari teams have gone to the final four only to have the winds vacated Derrick Rose's SAT scores invalidated the winds from his oath seven eight Memphis team, and then the U mass final four appearance in ninety six was raised after Marcus Camby was revealed to accepted money from sports agents. Now, whether you think he knows. Those things is up to you..
