"Must ask Mike Mahar very bring the house down. Yeah so basically you just want Luigi yes yes I do. I do what that So that was a lot of fun and then almost but I didn't I showed self-restraint got into Factoria Torio. But I know I did. Not but yeah. It was a very satisfactorily going to cut up any time here all right job. Wait a veto the whole division to borrow twenty twenty Let's see over the break. I finished Wadham. That is not a game that overstays its welcome gum. I feel like it's it's about as long as it needs to be to do the thing at wants to do you just got to winter and then the basically rap. There's a little bit at the end there. There's a little bit after Windsor. But Yeah it's there's there's there's some stuff but it is not a long game. I think I'd my total time with that thing was like four or five hours. It seemed like I got to audit the end of autumn. Yeah it's it's it's it's enjoyable. I think for what it is. I had a good time with it. It was kind of what I was looking for from that game. I spent a lot of time playing a game called hauled horizon. What is gone? No Horizon Chase Turbo. Which is a game that came out on the switch this year I think was out on other platforms a couple years ago? It is top gear for the Super Nintendo. They made that they made a political version of top gear for the Super Nintendo. They straight up. Got The dude who did the soundtrack for that game to do the soundtrack for this game and they made that style of driving game but in the modern times it's called Horizon Chase Turbo I could. I could be wrong on one of those words or possibly all of them. I don't think so it hitting those marks. It's going for yes. It is good at being that very specific thing which I did not know that I still wanted in two thousand nineteen but apparently I do it is just kind of like extremely fast sort of like you know scrolling horizon scrolling background kind of racer and it does it with a bunch. Did you have cars. That are all kinds of references to other car media. Like there's fucking dumb does like muscle car from fast and furious. The Outrun car is one of the cars you download as part of their deal. See like it's just a lot of that shit but in that style of racer and so Alexandra put that on her list. This year and I was reading I was like Oh man game. The sounds like top gear. Sounds kind of fun. I'll try out and then I ended up staying spending like most of my week playing that. He's yeah he's got some stuff pulled up here. Give me some like crews in run but Yeah that blaster. When we had a little it was near cade plugging along with the blasters on top of your car? That's a different game. Well that sounds like the one roadmaster. Sure we'll go with that. My only caveat for people who might be thinking about running out and downloading this thing. I will say that playing that game undocked mode on the switch occasionally hitches up a a little bit because a lot of stuff is moving very fast and sometimes it is trying to process things in a way that maybe is not as quick as the game is Gotcha. So it's maybe not one hundred percent ideal view away but it also wasn't bothersome enough to get me to stop playing it on that platform. I was having fun with it. Regardless it's available on some other stuff too. Yeah it's been out for a couple of years I think on on other platforms. It just came to the switch this year. Do you remember how much it is on. Switch think twenty bucks. Yeah I think so. Yeah and the two bucks okay. Yeah so it was good I I also played a bunch of overwatch. Because I've been doing that a lot lately and I may be the single worst run in that game. I have ever had worst single worst. I played I'd like twelve matches in a row and won one. which is maybe the worst I have ever done in that game in a in a single stretch so apparently win all the people are also home complain? That game I my skills are not as vital as they are. When there's fewer people around suddenly that afternoon play session is usually the most casual because everybody else is at work or school? ooh Yes the most cutthroat all of a sudden. There's a guy on the other team who is so good at fucking reaper. That I actually want to throw my control at a wall. So wow. That's usually. What my response to reaper? Yeah so I. I'm not blaming the game for that just saying I had baby the worst. I've had ever playing over watch over this break. Do they. A change anyone's ultimate. I remember mercy's got changed his reaper still the died. I guess his is the same. They change torbjorn also because they totally changed the way that character works he no longer has these super turret. It's that he now shoots a giant a I'm I'm just GONNA grow here. He basically Jesus a giant pile of lava at the ground at anyone who touches it it hurts my goodness yes fucking pockets. That's Well that's it for Alex will. Bjorn comes uh-huh lava. We'll move onto a angie rayburn that right okay all right she. She told me if I host is. I don't screw up her name a good game. So is a good like mystery writer. Name Don Breaker Breaker Berkshire John Breaker. Yeah Abby Russell. What are you plan? I have been taking some nice time away from Games which has been good good but I did start playing. Luigi is mentioned three at the end of the break and I am enjoying that I expected to. I do like it but I think the loop for me right now. Is I enjoy vacuum like vacuuming literally everything in every room and just like going to a row vacuuming it. All up going to the next room and doing the same thing and doing the puzzle solving but whenever I have to fight a ghost. I'm annoyed I don't like the ghost tedious not hard just tedious. It always takes longer than I care for it too. And it's like a little bit. I feel like in-fighting control sometimes. Also because I've already vacuumed everything up and all the rooms. It's often the thing we have to go back to that room just to like find. Find some fucking rat who stole a button. You know what I mean. And it's like I've already sucked all the pool balls into the thing. Why would you want to do in this room? The rat you know what I mean the few times it makes you a a bunch of like backtracking that always annoyed me because I wanted to keep that progress of going. Lord where's the Backtra. There's to the cat part. Is the cameras annoying as hell. Oh it with the different. TV's well right the movie after that. There's a there's a part specifically where you will be running back to era morehouse flipper and less goes fighting clean. You WanNa be the dirtiest everything up and I want like some light puzzles. I like the gems. I think. That's fun yeah yeah. I also think it's a bummer. I I think that y'all talked with us before that. The money is really like who cares. It's like I wish that I could buy little costumes. I wish I could make my. She's like Elvira or something I don't know I mean they are adding some costumes via deal. See but I don't think that's necessarily yes to like. There's I don't care about buying golden bones and I don't want to put the clues that are gonNa tell me where the jobs are because I won't actually go get the January. They made the smash and grab part of that game really fun. It is a shame they did not tie it to anything. All that worthwhile doing it I also have skyrocketed for the switch which I'm excited to get back into I've been I didn't play in just Luigi but I'm eager to get back into that one. I'm played in US along a great flight game. You pick up and then just like you bleed. Lost Awesome hours have gone by just because game for the switch. Because it's like oh I have you know. I can go back to skyrocket literally whenever anytime you know what I mean. There's always something to stab. There's there's always cabbages to collect never finished skyro- and I probably never will i. I love hearing when we don't have this job to do the pace of the normal human as people play just like I know I played this one game because I enjoyed it. And that's just kind of what I played when I had free time instead of like. Okay here are the things that I touched for an hour and a half or like picking up a game that came out in two thousand seventeen and getting around to. It's like Oh this is pretty good because you had to put it down in two thousand seventeen because the two hours you could play it had passed and they had to move on and it's just funny it's like yeah because I was sitting down to play something it was like. Oh I don't know these Games is that I kind of liked but didn't have a chance to finish success. Actor that never ins- yes everything else. That's pretty much it. I don't know yes. That's pretty much a good living life. Yeah the hardest Jeff went into so are we my family and I I'll ignore that fucking insult now. You should my son. I introduced Luigi Mansion number. Three is what he number three. And it's just it took over our break correct we have. We've played like ten hours. Eleven house thing. Though you know what's the thing he's not going to ask about the CO-OP so as you're going to ask about remember he so he's not there yet he can't. You just can't do that. He can play. He can play. Rocket League play trials. He could play a lot of games watching you please. It's watch me play. Yeah he's telling me what it is old. He's like stopped fucking out gems. We don't need click that meaningless bullshit. You gotta find the elevator. Button cares about. He's like angry child where he gets. So we're up to. I WanNa say like level eleven. Oh you're almost you should've gone past the cats by now. How many fifteen levels fifteenth Sandra? Maybe you're right there and he just did the movie studio. I think that's is coming out of floor. That were at Alice in wonderland floor so my wife low. Yeah there's a it's like a mad hatter economy with the three goes in the beginning yes stacey love house on their land so I told I said look we gotta wait. Mommy's GonNa Watch this because going to love it. So he's like okay and then he ran in older older. What's going on? We've been playing it for two weeks now at like we play it as much as we can. It's all he talks about great. He loves it so much. It's really really awesome to see him. Dig It in the way that he does and talk about it this morning. He told me I had a dream about it. I can't find dream can't tell if that's good okay He did say one time because he.

"Book. Before night falls based on gosh. I can't remember the writers name, but it's about a Cuban writer. So I'd say before night falls, and then is there a book or a series that you're willing to admit that you've either never read or never finished? Oh, no. Are you? You're going to force me to admit the worst possible thing. I'm not never read, Harry Potter. Now. I'll tell you this man. Are you magic? He I'm well, I'm gonna blow your mind, maybe here, and that's the most popular answer this question in the hundred and twenty five episodes that I've done. There's a big segment of why writers that are shame that they've never read Harry Potter until they realized just how many of them, there are. So you know what at the end of the day we're losers. I mean, this is Harry. The reason we're here yet you, you probably have a point. But I'll give you a caveat though. I'm saving those books. We have the complete set you know, beautiful still in the cellophane box set of them. And I'm saving them for my daughter, when she turns eight right, and I go, you know, and I have a ten or twelve year old, and that's pretty much when I hadn't read them until you know, they were around that age. So we did a good experience because I heard it's amazing to read them, much with a child. It is. And we and we also got in did the audio book version for a few of them, just because those are so well done. So, but yeah, they definitely you'll get more out of it. They'll get more out of it. So, yeah, you definitely. That's gonna be super fun. And then finally last question, what is the last great book that you've read who? Okay. Okay. This is exciting. Do I have your blessing to go? Kinda wherever I want. Absolutely. Okay. So there's one book I read over and over and over read it like fifteen times now. So I have to mention this one that's called such by Cormac McCarthy. Okay. To me. It's, it's like the best book of red. Nobody I've ever recommended it to likes it. So I don't recommend any of you, you or your listeners. But. I have to say that book, I I just read. Okay. Hopefully I'm getting the right. It's the newest KT Kamilo novel. It's called like Louisiana's way home. I read that with my daughter and I just fell in love with it. She's, she's one of the best writers out there, but that book is really special. And then I read a book picture book called Julian as a mermaid that I wish I could give to every elementary school in this country, kind of about gender identity. Yeah, I'd say those, those stand out, and then if I could add one nonfiction, I recently read, just mercy by Bryan. Stevenson kind of about people who have been wrongly accused, and it's the saddest saddest beautifully written book of I've read an a longtime just mercy great. So Matt, I just wanna thank you so much for taking the time out. Newest book is Saran, Don breaker. But I. Encourage everyone to check out your picture books, your way books and I look forward to see what you have for us in the future. Thank you so much for talking to me. And that doesn't for this episode, I wanna really thank mandate opinion for joining me. His newest one is superman. Don breaker from the DC icon series. But if you want to check out any of his other books, or any of the books that he mentioned you can check it out down there in the show notes. And if you're new to the podcast, I hope you check out some of the other great conversations. I have with why authors. I'm breakfast. And until next time keep reading.

"You're thinking about diversity and, you know, like an award is a political statement. And so you can never control that part of your career. And if you waste time worrying about that you are really on the wrong track. I think one of the things I'm really trying to do as a writer is to try to really focus on shedding the ego, and really just trying to tell humble stories that move me. And some of them may come out and do nothing. And one of them may come out and do well, but you have no control of that. So I think. One of the things I think about a lot now is that? Your book is merely a tool for conversation. You know, could be a conversation between a child and the parent could be the conversation between a teenager and his teacher. But really, you're we're just making tools and in hopefully, well-crafted tools, and then, you know, the world will do with your to what they will. That's great. That's a great outlook. Especially with, you know, getting that attention that you got. So I'm wondering. That's something that you perspective that you were sort of gifted right from the beginning. Did you kind of have to learn that with all the excitement and attention that I surround you with winning award? So first of all, like I said, I never thought I would even sell one book. And so once I saw the book, I was just I had exceeded my wildest expectations when I saw my book in the bookstore my first book, so I was like, wow, I can't believe me just an ordinary person. I actually wrote a book, that's in a bookstore, this isn't mazing. So there's that, you know, so I always kind of felt like I was just fortunate to be at the table. But then after last stop, I will admit that you sort of get swept up, and you're like, whoa, this is overwhelming. And I remember I think I kinda hit rock bottom. 'cause sometimes, you know. I would say the worst thing that could happen to you is cheating your goal because when you have the goal in place and you have an achievement near your working toward it. It's the best most beautiful place to be. But when you achieve ical, and by the way, this was never goal for me. But it you know you could say it's kind of a goal to, to find notoriety. All of a sudden you're like what do I do? Now like now my goal has been taken away. So you have to recalibrate everything. And I remember after last. I was writing another picture which ended up being a book called love and I remember I roll one nine and I was like working so hard on this one line. I tr- I tried to get it right for, for like three straight hours. But took a walk around the park. I tried everything to get this line. Right. And at one point, I remember actually saying this line of my head, is this Newbury worthy picture book line. Then, that's when I was like okay messing up. You know, like something has gone wrong. This isn't who I am. So I have to, like try to really work hard to shed even that you know, that surface pressure but I had just imposed on myself. So I think it was both like I've always kind of just thought lucky to be here. But then I also experienced that moment where I was like, wait. Maybe I'm trying to live up to something that doesn't exist. So you had success with picture books in your and so you kind of go back to why now a little bit with a book. That's part of the DC icon series superman. Don breaker. So when this project kind of came to you, how did you go about approaching something as huge as a superman? Yeah. This was like such a surprising development. And I got to work with, you know, three just incredible WI authors who have such massive fan bases. And then, you know, you're, you're working with a iconic, you know, character in American literary history. So I was like, oh, this is overwhelming. And, you know, I thought to myself, okay, there's, there's a lot of pressure here because I, I was really initially worried about, you know, big. Superhero historical buffs who knew the cannon, and I was so worried about disappointing them. But then after a while I thought even. All I can do is right. What I can? Right. They've asked me for a reason. So I have to just kind of like. I have to be true to what I wanna to do with this story. And so, that's when I was like, okay, well, what interests me about superman and the, the thing that kinda came to the forefront right away? Was this idea that superman the ultimate immigrants? And so I said, well. What if I use? You know, a superman novel as a kind of subversive way to talk about immigration in America. So that, that was my approach. And of course it's a superhero novel. There's lots of excitement and adventure and danger and trying to save the world but. Underneath, it is kind of an exploration of immigration in America today. That's great. And so what you can find that angle and kind of go into that. Do you then sort of because this is intellectual property that you're being tasked. Right. You kind of have to bounce the ideas in the outlines and, and kind of have a, a check on some of the facts with the people at DC. Absolutely. So we all all four of us had to write a very detailed synopsis, which was kind of a foreign thing for me. 'cause us I kinda just I discover the story as I move forward. But in this case, you had to write a very detailed Sadab ses with plot beats with kind of an arc an overall arc for the story. But in this case, it was very good is what all because, you know what if you go down a road that doesn't work for DC random out, though, day, of course, approved the story before I started working on the first draft. So thankfully, they were on board. And they thought you know, this could be a good opportunity for you to, to tell that version of superman. It's great. And so do you like is there a little bit of freedom in being tied to a character that is in your own in that there's some sort of structure, you have you have to kind of color within the lines? Does that in some way help you grow as a writer in that you can kind of focus on things differently than if you were coming up with everything? It's definitely different. And it's definitely freeing in some ways. I think the coolest parties I've always used this line about poetry. But that sometimes the rhyme is smarter than the poet. In other words, when you are trying to, like, find that rhyme, it sometimes makes you it pushes you in a direction you never would've thought of before, and I think having a character, that's, you know, an intellectual property of DC. And kind of knowing the history of it, and researching superman, it did, it made me really consider things that I never would have thought of my own, if I was writing, you know, a standalone. So I really liked that part of it. I also thought okay we'll what's superman? We're gonna right because I think, you know, not to pass any judgement. But some of the recent superman exploration, it's like we're trying to make superman darker kind of like appeal to. Fans of Batman or something? And I think. One of the decisions I made early on. I said, you know what I'm just gonna embracing he is and make him kind of pure. You know, maybe his biggest powers that he always tries to do good and make the right decision, not her people. So I think that was really cool because I'd never in the character like that. I'm so used to writing, you know, massively flawed characters. And this was really fun to kind of like take on a character who who tries to do. Good. I, I would say it awoke parts of me of writer that I didn't know I could I could I had. So that was fun. Interesting. Now, one of the kind of byproducts of the success in just the longevity of your career is that you've get to do a lot of school visits interact with young people in readers. So what are those situations? Like what do you really come away from those school, visit touring reactions that you have? Yeah it's funny because I'm talking to you from Boston right now. And I just visited the school in, you know, kinda the suburbs of loss and I'm going to another one tomorrow. And then I'll be at Harvard the next day, and it's very fun because high always interact with different communities differently. So when I go to working class community, I tell you know, insider jokes, you know, we understand each other in this way, I'm one of you. This is how it was for me. These are the kind of books I write. I'm writing about you. When I go to private school like I did today, I do totally different talk. You know, I talk about the freedom of growing up without money and without expectation, and it's really fun to sort of look at these kids who have so much pressure to go to the best college. Whereas it was a shock to my family that I even went to college. And so I just think I try to embrace my job, which is to present to them something to consider that they had never considered before. So if I go to, you know, title or in school. Wow. College changed my life like all of these opportunities I discovered because I went to college. And so I really really lead in a Cup if I go to a private school, there's a lot of pressure Eileen in on the freedom of pursuing what you love as opposed to what others wants you to love. So you know, I really kinda mix it up. But the best part is I just love meeting with students all around the country, seeing how they're similar and other different. And I love telling stories from a visit in Ohio, when I'm in Brooklyn, New York, and, you know, California like tell them stories about, you know, Texas. It's just so fun to kinda share. Things have learned from other schools with schools that have never even considered anything about those communities. It's great. So you're closing in on where I think it is right around fifteen years, that, that you've been publishing books and you kind of mentioned at the beginning, that, you know, when you start out, you know, why wasn't of course, what it is a day. So what does it been like that, as you have progressed as a writer, kind of seen how why has grown as well? Yeah. I mean, it's, it's really cool to watch diversity kind of like get a foothold in in the industry. I think you, if you look at the bestseller list or an hour away, so much of it as dumb innate by diverse stories, you know. And that's really thrilling to see I think, for me is a writer what, you know, being in this world for fifteen years. I'm starting to go, gosh, if I could read anything right now I would do Middlebury so, you know 'cause to me that's kind of a new frontier. It it just feels fresh. I'm reading a lot of middle great. 'cause I have a daughter who's going into kindergarten. So I read the her a lot and some of the books. I read, I'm just route away by what you can do in middle great. So. I just love our industry because we have, I think we're in a golden age of picture books, the middle great. I'm reading just blows me away. I just can't believe what you can do with younger protagonist international. And then I'm just so happy to see diversity get a foothold in the why community. So this is a very fun time to be doing children's books. It's great. So we're gonna wind down here. And there's questions I ask every writer so asked you the first one is, what is your favorite movie, that's based on a book.

"This is what book hooked you. I'm breakfast. And thanks for listening on this absurd. I'm excited to have this selling author, Matt, Dale opinion, who is the author of several y and picture books. He won the Newbery award for his book, last stop on market street a few years back. So we get into how he got into writing what it was like to win the Newbery medal and kind of the affects of that. And obviously his latest release superman. Don breaker. So listen. So Matt, what book hooked you? Well, I think. The first one I have to mention the house on mingle street. I remember opening that book and thinking it was going to be like all the others, but I tried to read when I was young. But, you know, I read the first vignette just was like, okay, wait a second. This is different this feels this feels. In a weird way, like home, even though she was writing about Chicago and I was living in San Diego. I don't know the community felt similar and felt I don't felt like a special invitation that like this book was for me. And when when were you in life when you first read this book, the first time I read it, I was, I think I was sophomore in high school, and it was part of the curriculum, and, you know, for the most part, the curriculum was kind of, you know, the cannon most of the cannon didn't really speak to me. So that's why I didn't expect much out of it. But it was different this, this one was different. And did you were you much of a reader growing up before sophomore English class where you just sort of reading books are at least acting like you read books, that were signed to our were you kind of an independent reader growing up? You know, I was doing my best with the books of assigned to me. I would usually read enough of the books to where it could pass the test, or do. Yes. But I definitely was a reluctant reader. I never read out side of the curriculum. Do you only books? I can remember reading, so the curriculum or you know, comic books a book about Larry Bird, abide graffiti, so I would say by the time I graduated high school. I probably had only completed five books, which is a pretty crazy thing to, you know admit as a writer now. Sure. And so when did your love for books, and for writing really start to grow? So I think most writers, they come to writing via reading and for me was the opposite. I actually came to reading from writing. So all through high school even wasn't reader. I was writing spoken word style poetry. I love kinda just the rhythms of that kind of poetry. I loved, what I could do with almost making music with, you know, the, the placement of the consonants different sounds. But also, I was writing, you know, I was writing to try to figure things out. Like what did it mean to live so close to the border? How come on wealth? I was considered wealthy when I go to Mexico, but then in San Diego was considered poor. I wrote about, you know, be mixed race kid, but I just didn't really find books that spoke to me. So it was almost like I was writing the stories. I wanted to read until I read the hustle industry and the funny thing about reluctant. Readers is also super loyal readers. So I probably read that book, like fifteen times in high school. And then when I got to college, I was introduced to the color, purple, and it was that book that really set me down kind of a trail of different books. I think at first I was like, wow, I think, you know, Alice Walker. She's really good. I'm gonna read all her stuff, and then somehow I discovered that she really loved their eyes were watching God. So I read that and then somehow jumped to Tony Morrison and Ruth Forman until I was reading on African American female authors. And then, you know, when you're an avid reader like that, you start making jumps from one trail to, to another and I kind of discovered, let Lexi next writers and that was one. You know, I was never gonna turn back. And then so with starting out with poetry than in your own rain, or just, you know, writing

Now, this next one, I, I love Bruce stands art. I is very unique. I just there's something about it that appeals to me. They're making a black and white statue of back girl based on Bruce hymns artwork. It is very cute. I desolate thing I can say for very cute. She's off centered, of course on a little metal pole, so she doesn't fall over. But the this piece I would definitely pick this one up. It's only eighty only eighty bucks. Yeah, it's eighty dollars. The next one is wonder woman by Joel Jones as a DC covergirl statue. It's going to be limited. Also the five thousand pieces. It's eleven inches tall, it's it's just wonder woman in her one bad ass poses with the LASSO wearing her. DC collectibles is getting better. They're not quite up, decide show standards quality yet, but they're not far from it game awhile. I'm sure they'll get there. The first, here's the one. I'm waiting for the first one of the dark Knight's metal, Batman, Don breaker, which was the mash up of Batman and green lantern in the picture showing him with one of the contracts on his hand. I think if I remember correctly, it comes with a couple different contracts. You can use it is another limited one little over seven inches tall. It's going to be eighty five dollars. That is definitely the nightmare, Batman. These things will be so awesome. All put them together on the shelf. And the last one is going to be the family bat girl. I don't like the costume. She's wearing on this one. Is grey outfit the yellow tram and like blight baby blue cloak and ears. I'm not feeling this when they limited by thousand pieces. Eight inches tall going to be eighty dollars. If you're going to collect the whole family series, though in, you're going to have to get this one. Yeah, this is one I wouldn't have in my collection, but hey, teach their own. That's why they make different ones. Gentle giants has been putting out the, they're calling marvel animated statue line. Basically, they're the characters based off Scot Young's artwork. I believe there's a twenty of them at this point little maybe a little more. They're smaller. They retail for about sixty five dollars storm is the newest one coming out in twenty nineteen is just a few seen Scotty Young's artwork. It's doorbell. The statues are just like three d versions of his artwork, they, they've really captured his his style. I collect the Scott Young series actually, and it is just I can't wait for the storm. I missed a few pieces, not many, but this storm I'm gonna make sure this comes into my collection. It is just too cute not to have on the shelf. Let's jump into comics now, some comics. Okay, bloodshot rising spirit is going to be the new valiant comic for bloodshot, which bloodshot is diet, has a deal with Sony for things about five movie deal. Bloodshot believe is the first one coming out. They've cast been diesel to be bloodshot already in that they have Jason, David Frank is bloodshot in the web series made by batting the sun, and I believe you go to Kabul dot com or just Google it. You can find the Naan Jack versus valley universe series. It's five or six videos and Jason. David Frank is portraying bloodshot an Eric just kills it all the actors really killed it. In that that web series, it's very entertaining. I suggest you watch it it. It'll give you a lot of background on some of the characters. If you don't like to read anyway, back to bloodshot rising spirit, they of announced a the team. Kevin grievious, not sure of, you know that name, he's the big dude from underworld. He played one of the likened the wearables. He also people don't know. He wrote that he, he's actually a pretty prolific comics writer. He's written a few and sold the titles too few so that he can make underworld. Nicest guy, we I've actually had the opportunity to meet him. He is just the nicest guy you ever meet. He is going to be writing bloodshot rising spirit with zek Thompson and Lonnie Nagler. They're going to be co writing it, and here's the kicker. The artists Ken Lashley Severo seen his work. I'm thinking pet cemetery will be the same thing. It's they're saying if he loved the book ago, the movie. So I'm thinking it's going to stay pretty true to the story. It was a very, very freaky. Scary book. I can't wait to see how they're going to make this modernize pet cemetery, but we'll have to wait till April fifth of twenty nineteen to see this movie. Okay. Gnocchi been reading affinity wars. You've seen that they have a kind of. A weird offshoot from that cone, Infinity warps were Gamarra's. This left him in a bad way. And you saw the last Justice league issue. He had a a full body, armor suit that allowed him to keep moving around even though pretty much most the bones as body were were broken. He's gone one step further. Now he has his own little hover wheelchair. So he looks a lot like professor x with a big bat symbol on his chest. Sure. He's still pretty deadly. Even with that full body armor, he wolf to bunch of of legion of doom. He was pretty instrumental and then justly getting the totality away from lex Luther on. Now, he's taking easy. Congratulations. The Oscars. There's been a lot of Oscar buzz every since they wanted to add that new popular film category to try to include the superhero movies in their lot of backlash, which I agree. We don't need another category. Dysle- these movies compete on even playing field with the others. This need to that the heart and they have submitted Black Panther to no less than sixteen categories. This movie is just. It was a great movie is done very well at the box office. I'm hoping in February as Oscars. February twenty. Fourth, the does well, they're, this might actually be enough to get me to watch the Oscars again because I haven't watched in years. I would love to see Black Panther. Take a couple of these categories. They've got a few of the categories best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay best actor embezzle porting actor and actress. Would being nominated for sixteen chances? Are they deserve to win one or two? At least. Disney is pulled out all the stops they have. They're doing that whole for your consideration campaign with Black Panther Disney is even hired an Oscar strategist. Wow. Yeah, they, they have a this pushy significant budget for award season for Black Panther, which is supposedly a first time they've really done that. I fully agree with Disney that that was a great movie. They put out and it needs to be given. Its just do so join me favorite twenty Firth I watching the Oscars and let's hope that black pad their brings home a bunch of awards. Dark nights medal, your nightmare, Batman, the evil, Batman, very conic, looking alternate versions of Batman. Where he kinda went bad. They're making statues for these guys. Now they're going to be seven inch statues from DC collectibles launching the first certain will come out may of twenty nineteen. You're get the eight characters from the dark Knight's metal series, Batman who laughs that was gonna be the deluxe statue, so is probably going to have a lot of extra probably the Robin goblins on it and below bigger, he'll probably be standing on elevated area. You're also going to get, you know, the red death, the drown, Don breaker machine, the mercilus the devastator in. Here's here's what I found interesting. They're gonna head Batman with baby dark side. So you're getting eight characters from dark nights metal, they're going to be able to make a diorama, but they're going to be able to be put together in different configurations, so you're not going to be set in one static configuration putting these guys together by the base. That's that's a pretty cool thing. The first statute comes out and may is going to be Don breaker that was going to lead the the series. It's as reasonable prices eighty five bucks. It's very, looks very good, sculpt colors or nice going to be a few interchangeable pieces on Dom breaker. He can change his hand out where he's McKenna contract. Great pool is already looked at him. He just he's the artists that these are based off of and he loves him so they must be pretty true to his artwork. The picture look at, here's Don breaker. The Batman green lantern mash up nightmare. Batman looks really good, really good. I can't wait to see all together in a diorama as just gotta be breathtaking. And reasonably priced. So, yeah, DC collectibles, dark nights, metal, evil, Batman. Pick him up starting to may. The last article I have for you to day DreamWorks TV is making Shiro in the Princess princesses of power more than one plural princesses of power. There's a teaser trailer out there. It's gonna be coming out on net, November sixteenth, middle November is a very, it was a series of the eighties is it's about an orphan named adore, you know, she finds this magical sword and tartar into the mythical warrior.
