"Doubles. Silence. Make good. Gary, Ron and Keith on s and why I think there's twice in the game. Also the steal of home where Gary was left to say nothing but wow, mind Dr DP Top six. They're part of the three Nothing shutout loss in the nightcap of the doubleheader with the Marlins after they dropped the opener for Zip the sloppy defense in Game two. John Birdy, stealing all the bases on Juries Familia. And Ali Sanchez there, RoHaas agreeing with Keith Hernandez saying the steal of home with the bad exchange between the two was embarrassing. But he did say You gotta expect it from this Marlins team. Definitely aggressive baserunning. I mean, one of things that This thing, which this thing, which is this team we're playing against. I mean, they're aggressive, um, almost reckless to a point. I mean, that's how they play, he said it was negligence on their part defensively, got to get it cleaned up at the plate over 15 with runners in scoring position. 19, a left aboard in the two games, says they're just continuing to press in those situations. We just got away from our approach from our approach. Every time every time we have honestly scoring position and We just, you know, keep keep reinforcing. The kids keep repeating, repeating it to the team that we got to stay within our approach. When that happens, and you got the frustration with Seth Luego, he goes out his first start since being taken out of the bullpen and put into the rotation. He gives you three perfect innings. Five. K's on 39 pitches and they yank him out of there, RoHaas said before the game. He was good for 50 to 60 pitches, nothing about the innings. But as we found out afterwards, Luego was told he would go no more than two or three. So rough night, not the return to the field the Mets were looking for. But Dominick Smith preaching patients were playing hard. Like I said I was extremely proud of. You know our team effort, then I'm okay. And I know if we're playing our we're goingto mean good things will happen. Yeah. 162 games. Maybe right? Yes. Exactly. Like the games. They're critical man. You can't be swept at home in a doubleheader. I think they're on a 26 and 30 for pace right now for not mistaken when shut out. Well, they're gonna have to get to at least 500. Yes. No question. I would agree. One more from Smith thinks the Mets will be ready to respond in short order. I'm not here to make excuses, but I'm not gonna let these two days these two games in one day affect us and I know that will bounce back and we'll be ready to go in the next couple days. Got their ace on the mound tonight. Jacob deGrom opposed by Eleazar Hernandez, beginning at 7 10. Brody bandwagon and was supposed to join Joanne Evidence five o'clock today I'm told that has now been pushed to tomorrow at three PM so we'll hear from the G M. You can check him out tomorrow with the fellas. Perhaps that's a product of the assorted giants. That'll be. I don't know. I don't want to say that. Maybe because they've got giant scheduled today. Maybe that's scheduling conflict. Brody doesn't seem to be the type that would you know, ask out of that. So that's why we Trow agree. Yankees got rained out in Atlanta. They've now not play. They haven't played since last Thursday that have three doubleheaders over the next five days. Sarin Boone gearing up for all of it. 2020, baby, We gotta go. We gotta figure it out The challenge, you.

"Can't help you. I can't help you out with nothing, Nothing but Iran's stat now Hey, what's happening? George haven't haven't seen And I talked to Jo about the island is so true. Yeah, yeah. You know, the game was on. That was the day the storm we were talking and he was ah! 18 audiologists, Ron and I'm sure you went and watch the game. Right? I run for a little while, which is really bizarre. Sitting in the middle of the afternoon watching. What did you think? What did you think about when all of a sudden Leo comma Ralph is in the lineup, and Tom Kuniko was not? I mean, were you stunned? Did you realize you were happy about it thinking? Hey, maybe this will help the penalty kill, which has been so brutal like Is that what jumped in your mind? I'm not even sure what a penalty kill if I don't you do it, But we'll let that I know, you know, you know, public elaborate, you know, could be interesting. I still think that they should have Atleast attempted what they think you're trying to do put teams and bubbles police training camp, But next week, it looks like, you know, team do you do on Wednesday or Friday? I think we could get together as a group was beat out of me The first big step. I know Evan you mentioned, you know, have been written about 12 too. But I think you Sharon's first vote to come out with us. I think it's a no brainer. That the number two quarterback has to be quarantined and you have to do it. It's just I'm not quite sure, maybe even the third hole scouting, but I don't know. Have a number two quarterback on any team gets any type of work. If you're quarantining guys, you have to take that approach. I really do. I think you've got to be extra careful because If you get a positive test from your starter now, what are you going to do so you don't want and it could lead to even more So I I think it's a strategy. A lot of teams they're going to try. I think we're going to see a lot of different kind of strategies. During this football season that maybe we wouldn't expect because we're dealing with something completely unprecedented. So Keep an eye on that. Harvey and Dick still say, Harvey Harvey Heaven how you both. What's up? All right, Okay. I want to talk about a two minute of points for your consideration. But I just want to ask a big favor. You don't you're under no obligations have been talking and talking, talking about the major league plays wearing man on the field. All of them, not just the coaches. I really want this season to continue. I'm asking you as a favor. If you could consider it and mentioned it in the future that try to do that. That's all I'm gonna say today about the two met points. Ah, it was great to see a great defensive, a good defensive performance by the Mets. And Ah, and I understand that they want to play Resent me when it comes about women is obviously an asset. I do believe that one thing Is that when you have Dominick Dominick Smith on the bench, a terrific First baseman, I I personally, you're gonna disagree with me. I think Alonso should be the D H and Dominic Smith to play the first base every day, And that's my opinion. The other thing is We know we talked about the Kano trade. A pra nausea, Andi, we know they know that and I mentioned over and over again should never had to give their prospects in the trade. Now you I don't know that much about Billy Hamilton. What I've seen of him is that he's fast. A lot of speed catches, the ball can hit 2 20 hitter. They included yester opinion They included May the 14th best prospect in that raid. They don't get him on waivers named Humphries. And I don't know if this is going to be a mistaken on. Maybe you two could fill me in on that. Well, the other thing is, and this is where I'm not sure if it's going to turn out to be this monumental disaster because I don't know what Jordan Humphries is going to turn into. But they sort of did the same thing in acquiring Jake Marisnick, where They've traded. The guy's name is Blake Taylor and Blake Taylor's pitching in the major leagues, and he's been effective now. Does that mean he's going to become like this next top closer for the next 10 years or a solid reliever for the next five years Now? I'm not saying that, but it does feel like Brody Van Wagon in has been very Loosey goosey, as some may say in trading. It's thes potential bullpen. Arms for peace is that you're really shouldn't have to give up that much for Jake Marisnick is not a guy who's really worth all that much. I got to be honest, Billy Hamilton, and I've always been a fan of Billy Hamilton has a guy as a weapon coming off the bench because of what Harvey described. He's got a lot of speed. He can steal a base. He plays really good defense in center field. Is that necessarily worth a potential bullpen arm down the road? Or a guy who's 15th ranked in your farm system doesn't feel like it. Honestly. Joe Billy Hamilton, Jake Marisnick. They worth much? And so I think it is very, very fair to question I know the seem very minor and they may turn out to be minor, but they also may look really bad in a year or two. I don't know. I don't know. I can't get notes about that. I really can't what I wanted always Billy Hamilton gonna be upset a fielder everyday to be very honest. Cause they need the defense in center field. They really though they they need the defense in center field. And I love that speed aspect, of course, because he can lay down a bunt and also, if he's on base, he can just it slows down a game. But he's still your pictures had gets on. You know, he's looking to go damn right question about Now think about this scenario when Brandon Nimmo was leading off, and I'm all in on Nimmo leading off job, Billy Hamilton with that knife, right? Okay, the night places, so think about this sequence. Billy Hamilton somehow gets on that's been his biggest probably doesn't get on enough, but he gets on base. OK, he is now in the pitcher's head, starting pitcher stepping off. He's throwing over, and he wants to throw more fastballs because it's easier to throw a guy out. Don't fastballs opposed to curb on the dirt all of a sudden, Brandon Nemo, who has put together the most consistently good at bats by any New York God means well, he's you know, he's on face all the time. Well, he's at the plate during this sequence where the pitcher's head is gone, because he's worried about Billy Hamilton is a pretty good chance. Brady Nemo's journal Walk, You know, I mean, so I like it. I think it's it can create some havoc. To his first point. You know what? I'm surprised about it. We talk to rose for 25 minutes. We get everything. And honestly, we talked about everything. We'd be here for an hour. I'm actually surprised that we're now how many games into the season and Peter Lanza was not d H one game, I think of it. See, I think that a lot of zone needs to play first to keep his head on, right. You know what I mean? Maybe maybe that he needs that to be just left alone at first, you know, to continue to get him out of his slump. So what you're saying is what if he starts hitting? Maybe then he'll be more comfortable with him afterwards. You know I wouldn't do it yet. I'd leave it alone that might mess with his head even more. You buy what I thought was really interesting that, Louise said, And I think both of us had the same reaction. Anybody that watched the game The other night is how startlingly good JD Davis was 1/3 base and Jeff McNeil loved. Jeff has been very mediocre Third days and J. D. Davis has been terrible in left field, and it leads to the question of. Well, that's a simple change. Shady. Davis plays third, Jeff McNeil plays left. Ain't that complicated? It's certainly sound the cordon Louise RoHaas that that's something we are going to see. That we may see that kind of flip of McNeil playing more left field and J D Davis playing more third base, So keep an eye on that. Yep. Quick break. We'll come back with more your calls, 877337 66 66..

"For New York Yankees baseball, which is W F A A, and I don't think you need to dig all that deep. Let's set out the ocean side. It's Jeff. It's the fan. What's going on, Jeff? Jeffrey. How you doing? Good, buddy. How are you? All right, with a couple of points with the Mets, and then RIA one quick point, the NFL Ah, D s. You got to give it to him. I don't care. I know. You think you can treat him whateveryou and all seriousness. He can never pitch again. I saw it last year. You can't do it again. There's only if you complete this season unfortunate which now I think it's an apple. With us with called knows having cases now. Every game is almost three. He can't pitch again. He just can't write unless it's mop up duty, which I mentioned right 71 game. Either way, you want to throw it, but that's the wrong spot. No, I get it. But I understand. I don't think when you if I don't think Edwin Diaz is going to be a guy that gets demoted here. I don't I don't think that what happened? Because I because the general manager's too invested in him Now the problem you have here for the Mets is OK, so you've got a starting rotation depth issue. Now you look at the bull pen. And if what I was told to write last night is true. And they're easing Betances in here. So how long is that easing in process going to take for Betances? Because as we sit here, right now, you got three relievers you trust You got Wilson, who got used a little bit too much too early. You've got luego and you've got familiar amazingly enough back from the dead is familiar, but he's actually looked pretty good coming out of the bullpen. Yeah, then less and then also asked with Ah, Rhoda, you gotta put Dominick Smith off a heaviness. That was a major. I'm swimming in my TV with Dominic Smith. I don't disagree. Good point. I didn't bring it up in the open. But that is ah, fantastic point and there is a love affair that rollout size here with Jimenez. He basically is in every single game. Right And then with the NFL, they gotta change their schedule. If you're not going to bubble like the NHL in the MBA have done, you have to try what baseball is doing now, with the two leagues to conferences in football case east, Central, Central West West You can't have the Jets going from New York to California three different times in this season. You got a what are they thinking? You know, Jeff, The problem is they waste a lot of time here. They waste a lot of time and last the last person I checked in with asking about that, they said they really have no plans of doing that. Not gonna work. You have seen You can't have teams crisscrossing the country. No, I get it and you're right for Major League baseball here. Here's the problem. Major League Baseball hat, You can have health and safety protocols suggestions. Right. You got your nobles, and there's gotta be Balan. It'd always baseball tried something but regionalize ing it know how you get that? That's fair, and you could be critical. But here's the problem. You have Jeff as well. You could be critical the schedule and you're right. Crisscross traveling run the schedule. Same as usual. You could also look and say, Well, how the hell you going to play football with dealing with covert 19 will the fact that there is no social distancing in football? I don't think you can play anyway. But if you think you're going to be under the impression that you can play, you got to say, how do we minimize The best we can. You've got to stay east Place East West Place West End Central police Central. So we had somewhat of a mini bubble. You can't have people going from New York to California three different times, Jeff. Thanks a lot for the Colts fair. I mean, it is fair. You know, I think the whole No, we, Maggie and I have one point in time kicked around the idea we had Floreal on about, you know, an NFL bubble. You know, I think it's just too much You want to say you want to create a three or four city bubble. Too much time is wasted, though. We've wasted too much time they really did and the lack of vision instead of being proactive instead of being reactive, and the National Football League might get caught here with their pants down because they were not proactive enough. And it's fair to be critical because we all want football back in the fall. We all want football back in the fall, and you're seeing stories here on the college campus down to Rutgers, which is a terrible story where they had, you know, a covert 19 outbreak on their team, I think was a tad under 20 players because they all attended a party. You think about that? What do we gotta be responsible here? That'd be responsible. Like I mentioned I was told of one particular. I'm not name the college of the player, but I was told this is going back. Maybe 56 weeks ago now where they had a player that tested positive was on campus. They told himself Quarantine and basically, they found him roaming around campus. Send him home. Take out the Branchburg, New Jersey. It's markets. The family's going on mark a moose just talking about that I would want to say I'm all missed talking to you a Rutgers game this year because you've always been a gentleman when I've come up to yourself. No, Miss you there, Mark. I agree with you. It's not going to feel the same. I know there's going to be what they're gonna allow. Hopefully, there's Rutgers football in the fall. Hopefully, there's college football, but only 500 people in attendance and it's going to be Teo. You know, family members of the players and coaches and stuff like that. So yeah, it's it's going to be certainly. Ah. A different scene for Greg Schiano era to point out Michael Conforto. This guy drives me bananas. I mean, all the D s thing. I agree with that, But if he gets a fly ball and they're hopefully Betances pitch in the ninth inning Wednesday, had the bases loaded. Nobody out. He strikes out last night, He gets up their first concert and strikes out. Can you hit a ball to center field to get the running, agrees. It's time. I mean, Mark, you have every right to be critical of Conforto. He's too good of a player and too good of a hitter to come up this empty and big time spots. Now, listen, I get it. It's only Game six in Game seven of the season, but back to back nights with ducks on the pond, you strike out looking, and then you strike out swinging, and you can't even make contact. That's not good. I mean, that's not good enough. I'm sorry. If you want to be a big time player in this league, you got to come through at least one of those moments. Exactly. Thanks, Mark. You've got a mark. Appreciate the call Westchester Norm. It's the fan. What's going on Norm? Love your show. Thank you, brother. I agree with everybody else. We have to be of a Diaz. It's time it's been long overdue. It's just getting.

I gotta tell you, Blair is one of my favorite callers. He has, like a really joy again. And he's a very I assume he's a little bit older, but he's such a gentleman. Yeah, I hope Stephen King is having a nice Sunday night if I had Stephen King's book, sales and money, I think I'd have a nice Sunday night. So you got to get a little darker and spookier. I guess so. Yeah, come. I'm kind of cozy frame of mind these days, but go ahead. What's up? No, I I I have the biggest man crush on Dominic Smith. This guy does nothing but hit line drives. You think there's a way that they could Reconfigure. I have nothing that I know, but I think his days are past Is there some way we could reconfigure his line up to get Common expression there somehow, and keep McNeil and Davis. And, um Some of the others. I mean, Dario See, here's the problem and you could do what you could do. Is have McNeil Place second You could have J. D. Davis play third, and you could have Dominick Smith play left field. But defensively on the left side there, I mean, J. D. Davis is not a great third baseman Dominic Smith is not a great left fielder. So you've given up a lot defensively. But offensively you're a better team that way, So pick your poison. Yeah, I I rather go with that and can always not really showing too well, a second base. I think McNeil's better defensively. It's second degree. I agree. I agree. Yeah, that's that's the That's the decision that a manager's got to make. You know, you gotta figure Do you go for the defense and how many runs is that porous, More porous defense. Going to give up first is how many more runs will those two guys in that position to hit? We'll give you by the way MLB is reporting that Verlander is not out for the season, but they're going to shut him down for two weeks and then they're going to re evaluate him then. Now it could be that because the elbow is bad that the smart thing to do, especially in a short season is to shut him down. But as of now, they're just saying they're going to wait a couple of weeks and then re evaluate Then Jon Heyman up next, and we'll talk Verlander and baseball in general with Mr Hayman up. "Who went from games as long Yes, Sanchez, judge and stand on a field at the same time, which would be great. You know, I think you can see 40 plus winds for this team. That's faras. The Mets go. You've got some pretty good back in that lie, Abed. I mean, if you have, in my opinion, Rosario leading off to get some speed the top of the batting order you have Alonso. Tess. Listen there yet. Conforto isn't even bring Dominick Smith off the band. You've got a lot of offense going there. My only concern is, how was the bullpen be set up? If you're not gonna have any confidence in India, you could bring him in at the seventh inning guy and maybe bring in familiar for the eighth and Kansas to close it out. RoHaas has some pieces I could work with. These kind of mix and match of the season is so short, you really can't afford to get behind very early we thought would be two teams are going to do in this very short season. Well, it's you know, it's first of all pen goes with Mats and Ellison. Their lineup is, you know there aren't holes they're let's put it that way. There's a potency in that lineup on DH That's provided that Guy's certainly You know, perform like you expect underperformed. I guess suspects would be a big part of that to you Put him back in the lineup. That's severe thump in there that you haven't had for the last couple of years. But as far as closer goes and again, Louise is Company line on this, You know, we haven't figured out yet, And I think they have. But I think Diaz is your closer but well, see, I think he's going to start out that way. They have the opportunity to go a lot of different ways. And you even throw logo on there, too, with familiar but dances so We'll see how it all works up, but I think it's going to be Diaz. I think they're going to handle the ball in the ninth inning and And they're pretty confident he can get the job done. We'll see. Listen, I think ideally, Eddie, everybody love to think that you know you're capable. Winning 40 out of 60 mean that's asking an awful lot and and I still don't know how to view the schedule and the various strengths of teams right now. Ah, but I'm looking at the 1st 17 games, the Yankees play. Okay. Ah, three against Washington, four against Philly. Ready with Shoot those air. Good teams, three against the Red Sox. Okay, They're not as strong as they were. But I mean, I don't think they're Baltimore Detroit. Kansas City bad. They're three against Baltimore and therefore against Tampa Bay. Um at Trump, Uh and I think there's a There's a different element to home field advantage when you're talking about this extra innings rules, so I don't That's that's the 1st 17 games are giving you right there, and 11 of them are against Washington, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay. I don't see the Yankees jumping out to a 15 and to start and and cruising home. I I think the the common theme has been or the or the thought anyway with the Yankees is that you know if you don't get them early than you know, they're going to be hard to catch because when you look at Theseventy Ember games There's an awful lot about Toronto as you mentioned Tena, and if you're scared about Toronto or Toronto turns out to be more than they were last year, then that's trouble. Okay, because you've got 10 off the 23 against against the Blue Jays there, but If they're not If Toronto is not the problem that I think they are. You've got Tim of the Blue Jays seven with the Orioles, three with the Red Sox and through the Moreland's, so that's not a bad final 20 thread. That's not bad September. Yeah, and if you have a lead, and you're up, then that's a great way to finish. But again, Toronto's a big, That's an X factor, because if you believe That they're going to be a problem on baby a spoiler. Then you've got some serious stuff to go through. Their seven of those games are on the road. And you mentioned you might not be Toronto necessarily. But Ah, they're on the road. You know, I'm curious to see how the how often we get to this extra innings rule and how that plays out for the home team's. That's the one thing I didn't see in the studies when Maybe I just don't look for the right numbers. But you know, they talked about how quickly the games are over in the minor leagues as they've been using this runaround second rule how often the game ends in one extra inning or two extra innings, But I don't know what there is. If there's any sort of variance with home rode home team has a different type of advantage. You know if if the road team plays for that one run, Bunce and place for that one run, the home team has three chances to win it with one swing because they've already got one run on base and a home run wins the ball game. Um I don't know how often teams you're gonna bunt because I mean, they're talking about it now. But it still doesn't seem to be a great play percentage wise and you have to be adept doing it. And the pictures are also 100 miles or our Anyway. It's not very easy. I think the exception might be this Sweeney and again This is hard to judge. But if you're closer, your guy You're going to hand the ball to in the 10th inning. OK, if that's the case, um you play for the one run. And you put your guy out there and he's hot. Sure, he's who is facing in that inning. The director, so if the matchups are to write exactly, you know, you know, can he handle these three guys? Okay, we'll play for the one run. Take it, and I like my chances with my guy against these three guys in the lineup. I think that's to me. That would be the exception otherwise. It doesn't make sense to me to play for just one run because you know you're right. You know, you start off the inning with the guy at the plate with the winning run in the bottom of the inning, so yeah, but that would be the exception to me. Well, you know, I mean, you're right. There's so many variables about you who you have available in your bullpen. Who does the other team have coming up? How hard is it to bumped against this pitcher? And do I have people capable of getting it down? And not to mention this is the one detail we keep forgetting. We assume that every time That you bunt that won the bunch of successful getting run over and that run is coming home. That's not necessarily case so many times that lead runner you get thrown out. Now you're talking about a runner at first with one out. That's not nearly as as as advantageous is having the runner at second base and taking three swings again. People, maybe not bunting. Very well. What if you pop sit up? Now you're sitting there with an extra out and you saw that move the runner over. There are a lot of different variables here to the the execution is not guaranteed. And that has to be considered as well. When you're thinking about what to do. I was looking at Ah, you know, some teams would like works in the schedule. You know, they have the Aggies and they have the Mets. The Mets final tender Braves, Tampa Bay Washington, which is not easy on Yeah, anyway, But, you know, one of the Braves like I don't know. You know the Freddie Freeman back at that time is Yeah. So you don't know, but some of the couple of the courts were interesting to me. I meant to ask. Like stand about this When we were on talk about the Astros, the Astros have 16 of their final 22 on the road. That's AH, that's tough. I mean the only six games at home In your final that that's pretty much that September, I would assume 20 Ames. Yes, so that I mean only six games at home in September. That's that's tough. So your best, I guess being a good spot while you're you know, or you're gonna be in trouble. And the Cubs had their final 12. None of them against their division. It was all against the American League Central. They're finishing all in. Okay, interactive play and you look at the American League's central Now how this team is going to be on our Nobody got the Royals. You got the Tigers. You know, you got some teams you could beat up on. So that's that's interesting, too. I don't know..

"So has that going to work this year, As you might know. Will there be a zoom, regimented pregame press conference that takes place at a specific time? Or is all of that out the door because writers and broadcasters get a lot of information in those hours leading up to the first pitch that we bring to you, as you know, information and background stuff on the air in print in your case. Will we have any of that? Yeah, There will be new meetings every single day. I believe it will be pre game and post game with the manager from players as well. And the hope is that as we go along, hopefully they think it's safer and safer that maybe we could do in person interviews because you know how it is. There's really no substitute. Even getting Louise RoHaas every single day. Twice a day of you zoom is just not the same when when you don't have that organic nature of asking, follow ups and really seeing over, react the questions in this in that, but we are going on ones too. Yeah, exactly. And and I certainly is a member of the media. I hope that that that is something that could be done from day one, and I don't think there is You know, from my perspective on things. There's an expectation that it's going to be 100% great that it's just going to be like a regular year and we can kind of get what we want. I mean, I can have frankly, my finger On the post of the clubhouse a swell as I would in a normal year. But the hope is that I can, you know, do as good a job as possible and that I'm sure every other media member yourself included feels the same way. Look, it's going to take once again kind of discipline from from us from the club, remember, want to make this work and hopefully Yeah, we do can still get inside meeting with Louise RoHaas everyday meeting with players, even virtually at first just to see what's going on because I think that's a huge part of the fan experience. I mean, it's obvious and bias in the media. But this is Fans really want to know what's going on with you. Especially now. I mean people have been missing baseball. I know there's been a lot of hand wringing about, you know all of the labor issues between the players and the owners, and maybe that's put some people lost in the game. But the end of the day, there's a big portion of the population. That Miss Baseball That's happiest coming back. I'm certainly among that, and she'll have an appetite for what's going on inside the claws Out T on TV every three nights. I just I just want to know if Jeff McNeil I just want to know from Jeff McNeil's mouth. If he's ever double bogey, the hole like a normal person will know I could play that. The answer is no. No, I was waiting. I want to know how his puppy is. I have big. I can tell you that based on the stories are I remember meeting Jeff Feels Pompeo today. Today she came out to the ballpark for the first time and and she got adopted and you know it in the palm of your hand and twice the size of McNeil. Now see those air this things, though, and I dried it up. You know, I'm sort of. Well since I always had big giant German shepherds. I understand it. But you know the thing is that if you want Baseball is so different Tony than every other every other sport, And it's those stories that you're talking about. Which brings the people to the fans. It really does. And I think it loses something backless long to get the game back. You brought up Louise robust. We had a father's Day show last weekend. We had Felipe Alou on the air and I got the feeling and how we tell me if you think I'm wrong, he was more than a little anxious and a little worried about The season. The way it's starting. He wants Louise to get to manage because he for that, and you know what it sounded. He sounded like he's a wonderful man, and we know who he is. But he sounded like a really concerned father. You know, Louise Rosie's been that organizational longtime. What are your feelings about this? And with this really bizarre season with him? I'll tell you why. It's almost like a free season for Louise RoHaas because you know it's let's say the Mets don't do that. Well, they finished. I don't know 30 and 30. They don't really sniffed the playoffs. You can kind of chalk that up. Okay, well with a short fuse, and it was a weird season. I don't think anyone's gonna put a ton of blame on Louise Ross. Unless he really does something spectacularly out of line, which I You could never see happening on but was a God now, exactly. So I think he's kind of free rolling here in that sense, because if they do do well and then make the play offs, dude who's better and let's say we win a championship. That's going to get just a much pop. A zit normally would. And yes, I understand. People are going to try and back that down, no matter what, no matter what team wins in those Seo, it's an asteroid a 16 game season. It doesn't matter you, Adriana. But at the end of the day a championship is a championship. So you know, I think it's Louise Roe has goes well, it's going to come off as a credit to him, and if he doesn't it's kinda going to be easy to brush away and say, OK, we're going into next full season. 2021. You know, you could have optimism that you'll be better so I actually don't think there's all that much pressure on him. Outside of the obvious pressure of first time manager Big market We're talking to Tony Deco, mo of MLB dot com and we know that Noah Syndergaard is gone for the year. We also know that the designated hitter is now a part of the National League or, you know all of baseball this year, even though there really won't be American and national leagues per say when you get down to it, But you know, the Mets lose something with Syndergaard. They gain something particularly significant with a D. H. Do they balance out or two? The Mets gained something here so I still think that's kind of a net loss for the Mets. Noah Syndergaard as much as you could probably say he hasn't fulfilled the expectations the potential of what he could be, and that's because the feeling for him has always been kind of best pitcher in baseball, and he hasn't really been that guy. I still think so lose him for a full season. You're losing Mohr than you're gaining with this idea of using your own assessment that the agent I don't want to prove to everyone who's excited about you on assessment that the age don't really interested myself to see how it looks, but I do. We need to all remember that this is a guy in his very much in his mid thirties now wasn't seen professional pitching in two years, and this assumption that it's just going to go out and be 2015 year when it suspects. I think it might be a little misguided. That's not the same. You can't succeed. I think 10 succeed. I think anyone who all the way he was swinging a bat in spring training knows that he can succeed. But what a success look like. Is it an all Star caliber? No Nelson Cruz type of th I don't know that might be asking a lot. So I think, ideally for the Mets, A good D eight situation includes includes Dominic Smith, a lot, especially tough right handers probably also includes Pete Alonso, sometimes putting Dominick Smith the better defenders first days. J. D. Davis can be a drummer Takano conveyed. I think you're going to see all those guys. So it is a good position for the Mets compared to a lot of National League teams, but comparing it to losing a guy who can give you 200 plus innings pitched, you know, with a goody are a striking out of town of guys..
