American Academy of Pediatrics breaks with White House over school reopenings

"Trump calls for schools to be fully reopened In the fall, The school Superintendents Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics put out a statement saying reopening should be done safely. San Dominick, executive director of the School Superintendent Association, tells CBS News he believes reopening should follow federal guidelines. This can be done by following the guidelines prescribed by the CDC and other health officials cramming students into classrooms. As we have seen people cramming into restaurants, bars and beaches will not work. Hundreds of students and enclosed structure, like a school building without social spacing and masks will not work. Others urging federal, state and local officials to reconsider how they're reopening the broader economy into Prioritized K 12 schools

"The Pedro. His owes the boss. Rooms of the world will look back at a guys. Guarantee Right now and go. Oh, my goodness! I was the champion. I never even knew numbers like that would exist. Even if you set the pay aside as conner set set aside, go back to a wrestler's mentality to a collegiate athletes mentality, aspiring Olympians mentality. Had nothing to do with the money. But in all fairness, everybody needs something the one thing that you could get. Should you make it to the NC Double A. Tournament? Make It. To the sweet sixteen, the final four the championship game the Olympics you get attention. There's GonNa. Be Media. There's GonNa, be cameras and your hard work, and your dedication is going to pay off in the way of a pat on the back. And largely, that's why sports are here. That is what they are designed for. That is where ninety nine point five percent of the population will be able to reflect back as their time in sports as a game as a hobby. As something that was competitive kept them involved kept them in shape. Point. Zero three percent of the population will be able to do that professionally. Good for you. I don't turn on you. I would just encourage you to remember. That's not owed to anybody. And there was a time in the sport when there was no financial reward, not zero zero many other sports have it right now. Call Amateurs Right. The right guys always showed up. The cars were always full. Butts were in the seats. Media was in the front row. Nobody? Ever had to start opening up checkbook. It was never meant as a way to co worship, or dangle a carrot to get you to do something it was done. As here's what's right. We're all going to partner up and we're all going to move forward. The guy that came out with the blow horns said I'm going to take all the risk figured out. They're going to be something in it for me if my plan goes well if it's not. You guys come along. Believe in the right. I'm going to get you something. It was just a very real thing. I remember the I. Guess it would be my second US second UFC fight. But, it was the first one I participated in. After the bonuses had come out there was there was some show. And Dana Out of nowhere before the show gets one in the room because I want action, and what you guys staying busy when you trying to win fights don't forget first and foremost. We are here to entertain those who have come to us for entertainment, and that's what I WANNA do. And by the way, and he laid out some kind of criteria. I think there was a submission I think there was a knock and I think there was a fine I think that was there on day one, but there was a number of criteria. That you could go out to win a bonus. So, that was done on a show, and this was not a thing so I remember being in the back room. We'll fight Trevor Louis at the hard. Rock Casino is called the joint on a Wednesday night on like fuel TV or some off brand chambal. Everybody's trying to do the best they can. And one of the Dane against on the meetings overall getting ready to walk out the door and one of the fighters goes. Hey, what about that bonus thing you did for these other guys and Dana Goes. Yeah you want to about to say like Oh did that work that incentivize. That was my goal. Okay, you guys want to do it. Let's any has nothing. He's got nothing to write down. He gave his cell phone Assissi. They didn't have a cell phone, so he grabs a scrap. He's a paper and finds either pen, or because let's let's write this down any rights. It was seventy five hundred. What should it be for okay for knockout? Okay, great, another seventy five hundred. What should that be for? And you got the finite and the submission, but he writes the whole thing down and goes boom. We've gotTA deal and everybody walks out. People could not have walked out happier. They could not of walked out with more than incentive. They could not have shown up the next night to put it all on the line. and. That was seventy five hundred dollars. That's a lot of money, and by the way, not only that you have an opportunity to win my purse that night by example was three three three show three to win. I did win I end up with fifteen hundred lesson. If somebody got I mean it's very real money as my only point right now there is no backroom negotiation. There is no grab a piece of paper and try to write this thing down because somebody brought it up. There is a built in one hundred percent every show. Two hundred grand bonuses split up four different ways. I'm only offering for you if you need. These things dangled in front of you, you've got the right. Everybody ticks on something. That's. Okay Money could be as good of a motivators anything. But you are missing the history. You are missing how we got here. You are disrespecting intentionally or not. Guys like Hoist Gracie guys like Dan Severn. Guys like tank Abbott. Who Not only did this? To help get the sport were was. They did it because they enjoyed it? They did it because they had a skillset. They worked really hard, and there were some cameras there. That was show it around the world. You'd get a pat on the back. They did it to make for a better world better belief for the next generation of fighters. They did it without commissions. They did it without. Weigh INS. I've heard some fighter south in here for ten years and I fought twenty times. That's really awesome. I would not turn on that Guy Hoist. Gracie fought four men and one night. was outweighed by every damn. One of them didn't have gloves didn't have they didn't have a commission. Did it have all the medicals and all the wonderful things? Now that many of us think are a nuisance. That make the sport real and put it in a better place..

"He's taking on vulcanology forty five pounds strap. You've got yawn versus, although on the same card, there's all in the same car. Oh, by the way you then have Uis men and burns. I gotTa tell you. Who Do you main event? There used to be a policy where it was just a policy for somebody came out one day, but it became the policy and. Whoever was heaviest? Would go last. If there was multiple title just whoever weighed more, we'll go last and we'll. We'll do it in descending order okay. Ain't no problem with that, but there has been some times where that's been. Neglected in many ways I mean. Let me look at the Henry. Suharto's last fight Henry's the Huda was a comb event. Then, the bigger guys Gigi and Ferguson closed out. The show is the main event and I guess you could say that's on script. I'm just I'm arguing. It's not because there was no champion at one fifty five when they walked out. So, does the policy stay in place or do we change it listen? We're splitting hairs. Word to have a discussion about nothing other than that is a loaded car. That is the point. Who Do you put on top of the bill? I, think you show the respect to us man, I really do, but I also think that fight is going to be a lot bigger than many of us know live where hardcore over here, right? That's why you come over here. That's why I. sit down and talk every day. We Love the sport. We understand it better than most people. I understand all those things. I will just predict for you before that fight goes off. That is really going to be a big deal. You have to understand that Gilbert Burns his back story, okay? Here's the deal with this man who's been is who you can aspire to be. Burns is who you can identify with being. And there is a significant difference an aspirational champion. All my goodness, right? But somebody that you can identify in sympathize with is very relatable as long as burns and team, Burns do a good job of telling the story, which is that he was a dark horse down a weight class fighting on under cards. Won Four in a row, and never even broke onto a main card. All of a sudden largely because of his attitude and nothing more put me in forget the odds and forget about who wins and loses s between me and this guy, but go ahead and put me and he steps into A. Spot. The very few people thought he was going to win and fairness against Damian Maya. To grapplers Maya said to be the greatest right Y-. You get the deal. Comes out stops in the first round next thing he knows he's in a main event fight. You've got the timing everything that happened and who's just willing. He then comes out not only not only beat the former world, champion and surprises everybody, but that's really what catapulted him. I will argue that from the till I'm blue in the face. This dark horse status that came out of nowhere. There is no time in life that story doesn't work. Movies get made. About guys like I saw a movie on Christmas about all box. What's his name James Radic? In my close guys, it was a number of Christmases say like two thousand and five even, but it came out on Christmas Day I went and saw it with my cousin Corey. and. I think it was changed radic, but now I'm trying to read. It was played by Russell Crowe I'm trying to remember. Yeah, it was James Radicals. He had a beat Max Baer. That's exactly what it was, but he was just a regular dude. He, get up and go put in for some work on the day and hope that they called on him go to. The boat docks work all day. All night rose all the way up to a world championship with these stories are very real, and they're generally myth and fiction and sensationalize except right now. We're watching one right now. There's a lesson in this though. Because we've got A. Or conversation going on. We've got a broader conversation about some of the guys. Whose names are up and marquee, not wanting to go out and do some of the heavy lifting, and they believe that if they have leverage leverage, and they believe they can stick it to everybody else and believe they've got something that the fans want and most part they are right. For about two or three hours. Friday. It goes really quick. Who would've thought Gilbert? Burns is going to make a pay per view that by the way has three world title fights on it, and he's going to be on the top of the bill opposite Uis men. whose like seventeen and one? I mean for goodness. What's John Jones is twenty and one remarkable record. What could be twenty nine? Oh. Who's been is amongst the greatest fighters, not only the sports ever right now today. You'RE GONNA stand opposite of Ham on ESPN Gilbert Burns. Had I told you that four months ago. had. I told you that four weeks ago. You guys are shortened. By for sure. So, you see how these things happen, and David came out and said what liked about burns. You WanNa do I like about this. Of course he's a great fighter. I. Get all those things. Like his attitude. And that's a very real thing. I mean. This is the one that you can go to college and get all the degrees that you want. That's the one lesson is in no chapter of any of those textbooks. None sits in no library shelf anywhere in this world. Having people like you. Because you have a good attitude, we'll take foreign life. Being willing to do a job that other people just aren't willing to provide opportunity. There was an ultimate fire season like two or three right at the beginning, somebody had been eliminated from the process. Somebody who wanted was part of the process had to pull out I can't remember the reason. They now need somebody who's no longer in the tournament to reenter the tournament. Dana drives over to the firehouse drops the message on him and leaves Hey. We're going to pick somebody so all of you start getting your head right. Start Watching your weight. We'll let you know what we decide he leaves. Some dude runs out of the house after him chases him down. It's just the two of them in the dark of the night and goes up to his car, so please please please. This is my dream I want this so bad whoever it is whatever it is I'm I'm in shape. I'm ready. Please just give me one more chance. Boom. You got didn't go back in house. Did it? Draw straws? Let people argue it out. then. It talked to the coaches bone done. Very real thing. Who want something more is a real thing in life. And I do think in the broader scope as we're starting to look at. Guys believe that they've got hand. And I'm not against. Those guys Ma'am go play your cards. You WanNa play him. But when you're making the decision. To sit down at the table, you've got to observe the landscape not just now. But the history of this. If you think that your the best guy or potentially the best guy, but for any reason you're not willing to go in then you aren't. I. Don't mean that to be a jerk and I. don't mean to be cold. But there has never been an Olympic championship throughout time. There has never been a world championship or Ncwa Championship. There's never been a super bowl contested or gained seven of the world series ever throughout time. Where somebody's sitting at home and looks over to their buddies while having a snack and a couple of drinks and says you know what I could've done that I decided not to go to the Olympics this year. I'm better than this guy. I decided not to play baseball this year. It never happens. The right guy will always step up to through twenty. Can't make the same statement. The Right Guy. Will always come forward. Guys I'm going, do you? A favor and I'm not ready to do it now, but I'm good for I am going to get you the contact. Of, somebody within the HR department, Human Resources. At the UFC and I think that will solve a lot of problems that way you can email him. You can send them your resume. And you can put in for a position to become a decision maker, it appears. That everybody wants to be general. And nobody wants to be a soldier right now. We have enough generals. We don't have enough soldiers, but there's something where people keep getting off. I encourage people all of the time..

"Steep amyotrophic just sounded a message on social media. The picture of him I WANNA say it was like headed to the gym, but the captured was more important which he says, the time is near. WHO's ready so I'm in a couple of things you can take from that first and foremost is. You can take steep at his word that he has been saying from day. One never changed his tune one single time. No matter how many times some people were jerks to him about it. He said in a pandemic soon as it opens up getting the gym, we'll book a day. That's going to be Daniel Corey. It's going to be an heavyweight. Purses agreed on unified. Everything's agreed on just needed. As soon as the date opened up, he was the first to let everybody know all right. Let's start talking to get this thing book. I mean not for nothing steep. Did every thing right here? Everything that he said he would do. He did right, but now we are getting a little bit closer. And I, don't think steep ever threw up this big Hail Mary that this was some UN disclosed time. The time was always as soon as possible. What is possible for somebody else to decide? But now the time is here. The time is now here, and it does really for the heavyweight division, not only. Is that good news? For Daniel Kobe, this is great news. But it does create an interesting conversation for what what is going to be left in the ashes. What will be left in the aftermath of the heavyweight division? Because, one half of that fight is done. Fight Corn, very sincere make no mistake. He's going to fight steep a and he is not going to return to that octagon with short pants and a mouthpiece. So. Let's say steep a wins. Who too steep a fight next. I think the answer is pretty obvious, Francis, and Ghana. But Steve has always also alluded very lightly very very lightly, but he has alluded that he's on a limited clock himself. So let's say he fights Francis Gano. And he beats Francis again and it goes all five around now. They've gone ten rounds and stay won all ten rounds. Then let's say speedway walks away. What do you do the championship? Well? I would imagine then whoever is in that vacant titlefight. Should we get there? One half of it is going to be Francis and Gano. I think it's a pretty good guess to say the Francis and gone. WHO's GonNa grab that thing and run with it for a period of time. So he is now going to Francis and God knows now going to have an asterix next to his career, which is going to be world champion as long as deep dish stays at home. That's not Francis his fault. I'm just making conversation of what does happen. This deep a walk walkaway after the Daniel Fight. Light Daniels. Do and let somebody else get on with it. Who is likely to be Francis Gano. And I don't think Francis would have an asterix next to that championship. Because, that's all based on perception anyway and I think that the perception by many people is that Francis has made. Corrections closed the gap it will be the rightful champion and people might be right. They might be right. Right or wrong they could make the argument is steep. It went out there. beat him twice particularly. There's a long drawn out. Their stand. The argument gets harder, the more rounds there are. If you ever catch somebody fewer. Knock somebody out. That's the way it will be written he. He caught me. He gets you into submission. It's two minutes into the fight. It's not Oh, my Gosh! She overwhelmed you. He was so great that he tied you up one hundred and twenty seconds it'll be. He caught me and it was early. You couldn't do that again. That was just be the perception. If you go out there and it's a long drawn out night, go all five rounds and one guy never wins around I mean. Did you see the difference? The point of all of this is that St Baby Oh churches is very likely in his next two fights to be fighting for a world championship. His next fight, for sure, because he's bringing the championship, regardless of win or lose. Daniel wins that thing goes vacant. It's very hard for me to believe you can hold a championship fight without putting St paying their. Steve Bay wins. He goes into a continues to defend the championship. The question starts to become who. I think the next one would be pretty obvious. It's going to be Francis. Francis might be the one guy just sit out. I don't even know that you've got to put him in there with somebody. He is the one guy who was done enough lifting in a frightening fashion. To just put him on ice I mean most people have to fight very often because fans and media like we just have a short term memory. He just simply forget what you saw. Francis has left a little bit of an exclamation point. AM I. Right about that. I don't think anybody's going to before getting. The work that Francis has done. If he were to wait. And take on. The winner..

"In MMA when you put the absolute best against the absolute best night in and night out. Inacceptable response by the viewer is that you can take losses. And the reason I bring that up. The other side of the coin that's being discussed or if you're talking about, should you bring an athlete along slowly? Handpick his matches for him to try to build up some big and beautiful record. The opposite of that means you're finding him guys. You believe he's going to be. That is very underhanded in my estimation. That is what the world of boxing has done. It will continue to do I. could take any fighter out there right now I. can take any human out there right now I could get you to a twenty and perfect record boxing. Perfect you would be twenty in any way class anyway. You WanNa do it. I will find the matches. I'll make it happen. You might be fighting at a local bar down at the dog park. Ymca can't tell you guarantee. You'll be televised, but I can get you to twenty. No, that is a very real thing boxes. That is going on right now. That is because jail has some magic in secret recipe. That is the way it works, and I'd met with many boxing promoters, and they will say that they will credit data white and go. The one thing that he's been able to do that, we can't. which is to get the crowd to accept within our industry? How were pushing or main of Inner Komeda Vinny? Or continuing to promote a guy who's coming off a loss coming off a two losses has seven losses on his record. It's something we simply can't do. They said adversely because of the fear of that and because of the phenomenon within our sport Taco boxing. I can't get a guy who's ten order to take on another guy who's eleven and now I can't get them together. Because one of them is going to have a loss and of one of them has a loss essentially, they're going to be done. A ten in record is not even close to a ten one record in the world of boxing. But I will tell you. That's very unique, and there's no reason that anybody should copy that within the sport of Emma May when no other sport copies that. Even, idea, have you ever thought about how many games a year Lebron James Loses. You thought about how many times tiger woods gets beat in a year. But that's what happens when you take on the best competition day in day out. You, know your schedule ahead of time. You know when that championship is. Now you go through the peaking phase. Both physically and mentally you prepare for it a lot of those games using as practice. You're working on new plays. You're working out some of the kinks. This is a game as we have answered the postseason, we start to change those strategies as we advanced to the playoffs. Semi Final Championship around. We really hone in on those strategies, but that's what sport is. All sport across the board. That's what it is. I don't know that you would ever want to look at an athlete and say he have taken this fight. That wasn't good fight for I. Just don't like that theme. You take on anybody or you're a bully. There is no way around it. If you only five people, you believe you can beat. You are a bully. There is no way around. That is the definition of a bully. A competitor goes out there and takes on all matches and takes on all comers and wins when he cans. And learns when he can and move forward. Towards the greater goal and there is I. Don't know the statement has ever been made publicly, but is a tremendous compliment to. Involve leadership on down to the fans. That within sport losing isn't acceptable outcome. Particularly when there's only two teams out there, you got a fifty percent chance. This is a blackjack where the odds are stacked in. The House always wins over a period of a fifty fifty chance. It's where somebody meaningful light could be. WHO's completely undefeated? Oh, by the way in the toughest division in the entire sport really stands out. I mean he deserves that. Deserves a pat on the back. My goodness that is to do. It's really quite remarkable, but it's also something to be said. For our industry. You know right a guy off, but at the same time you don't try to carry a guy and get them to that twenty no record. You take the guys within the divisions you kind of operate within a loose constraint that anybody in the top ten fights and other guy in the top ten anybody in the top fifteen fights guys within the top twenty. Anybody making their debut fights guy with no more than one or two matches experience within the organization and you move forward. And then they gotta figure it out from there. Within the unified rules that seems simple seems fair, but it also preserves the integrity. Of the sport and if you don't adhere to the rules, I just laid out you..

"Am I a dollar short and a day late on this so Mike Perry is going to take on Mickey Gall. Did you guys know that I found out this morning? And then the article I read? It didn't look like it was a press release. It looked more like it was recapping oppressed relief. That was done earlier, but somehow I miss that. Is there a more fun fight you can make. I'm asking you a serious question and go right ahead. Perhaps there is. I can't think of one off hand. I mean that's a very fight, so Perry comes out. And Parry. To bring you guys up to speed I'm a huge Perry mark I'm what you might Perez doing something. I'm into it. I, just find him very interesting guy. But Perry has left his coaches and he was at Jackson. He has come out and said that he is not working with coaches. I am not even listening to coaches right now. I need someone like myself to hold mitts in fact. I wish I could hold minutes for myself. The only one in my corner will be my girlfriend and possibly her friend. Who I also assumed to be female I've never met the girlfriend, but Mike is brought us in on their life together through social media. And it does not appear that she has any background whatsoever. martial-arts possibly has never watched mixed martial arts, and certainly has never been to martial arts competition, and while that may find baffling to you. I find it very par for the course myself. Get her license. Fee doesn't feel like listening to coaches right now. He's got a quarterback. That is certainly not a coach i. just find the whole thing interesting. Look at my offering. Free you this recipe for success. No sounds like a recipe for disaster. Do I find it very interesting. Yes, I do. Do I think that Mike, Perry versus Mickey. Goals compelling fight yeah you bet your ass. I do and the only thing that Mike Perry. I should say. I was GONNA. Say the only thing he might be missing there. It looks like maybe he's got a few misses her one more thing that he by be under calculated is making all. Make Goals as tough as an old leather boot. And it's also very contrast in styles. Mickey Brown belt in Jitsu may elevated to a black belt by now. Bella Jujitsu great shape. Mean Guy Young rough kid himself. Versus Perry, who could do a little of everything, but prefers to be right here in the standup I mean in many ways. That's a classic matchup. I would never and I have never heard anybody. Make the mistake of thinking, Mickey? Gall is a night off, but that's a very fun match. That's a very compelling match. Peres going to hit him goals going to take the hits trying to get his hand I mean that that's going to be a mess as a match before we get into the XS and OS. The back story alone is something interesting. Look Perry walks to the ring. He Gets Three Quarter Min. He doesn't use them. He may not even use more than one. And that will be a love interest who has absolutely no experience in mixed martial arts and possibly has never seen mixed martial arts become you. Tell me there's not. There's not something there to see. I like things that are baffling. Baffling. Word that I get to use very often. That would be baffling. I will tell you one personalized Mike. Perry Story Mike Perry came out to submission underground. He was opposite. Ally Quinta. and. Ring announcer went right up to him to get a little bit of information to read off the Q-car to the audience as he's doing the introductions. One of the questions he asked. And the ring amounts are repeated in verbatim. Is. Who Your coaches. Mike Perez response of which was read live during a sold out show and around the world was trained by MME self comma. But really not at all period. And that ladies and gentlemen. Is My Perry. Interesting question, it was right after Bruce Lee, Roy got the jump on chase. Hooper and the question was simply. When is it too much of a push? When is it too much of a step up in competition? For A young athlete! And I have heard many reflect on that many times. Alex versus Hooper made sense when it was made. It made sense watching the competition, and it makes sense in hindsight, and for anybody who thinks hooper was burned because his perfect record is now nine and one. That's revisionist history. I don't know if I fully agree with that. You really have to understand what's happening in this sport in. It's a very uniqueness to this sport at least in the world of combat, but not in uniqueness in comparison to other sports and that guys beat. Guys get beat. And never in combat, has that been acceptable? In MMA, that is acceptable. And that is not only a feather in the CAP. To the matchmakers in the leadership. It's also to finance. In the world of boxing, if you get a guy with five losses, he's a bomb. Forget. If you've got a guy with ten license, he might not even get licensed. He will definitely not be able to make a living doing it. Forget a main event or world championship I. Just simply won't happen. He would be a bomb..

"If things are going well, you dance with the one that brought you. You work with the same coaches with the same teams. You say yes to the same amount of media. Maybe that's eighty percent. Maybe your guy that says no sometimes okay. Great was eighty percent, ninety percent or one hundred percent. Whatever was to get you there you continue to do. GotTa be very careful with these things I look at conor McGregor. Okay, I, look at how great businesses doing right now. It's tough to identify why business is doing so well. Is it because there's so many fans, or is it because there are so few sports on? TV I mean you do have to consider different things either way? It's going great either way. He's fought one time in five hundred days and there's never been a dip in the market. Trajectory is going all of them. Ma Is there's times that it plateaus, but there's no dips on that graph. If, you were to take an athlete. WHO has only participated once in five hundred days Oh and by the way in the last two years they've set all time records. And that athlete then believes that they are needed. That they are in assessing. That, they are a commodity that cannot be lived without. You would be left to scratch your head is how'd you come to that conclusion? Are you good. Are we better with you totally different conversations? Totally, different. There's no way you can look at Connor. Look at the numbers and deny that that is an asset. That is not my message to you. But my messages to you that the Golden Rule of show business, which is quite simply show must and will go on. Her not unprecedented times. Ted Turner jumps into the professional wrestling space. Not only does he go head to head with a larger war chest then Vince McMahon had he goes on the same night in the same timeslot. He directly came after Vince to put them out of business by every star that Vince at all of them. All of them. Hulk Hogan Macho Man Savage Ultimate Warrior on down. He bought them all. He bought the referees. He brought cameramen. He bought the writers. He bought the managers valets. It was a corporate raid to the highest of levels. Vince had nobody. According to you smart marks out there there was nobody left, and therefore vince couldn't survive. Then Vince created. Somebody called the Rock. Then Vince looked in the locker room and he created. Somebody called Stone Cold Steve Austin. Because, they overspent. On what they believed was talent as opposed to having the creativity to create new talent. The grates will always find a way. There is a reason that you dreamed one day. Of getting into the major promotions. Because you saw something. Don't forget what it was you saw. Was it the comfort of your couch or the roar of the crowd from the television on your wall when you're at home on your living room. It was the leadership behind that. Do Not bet on the horse bet on the jockey. You knew these principles at one point in your life. At a different point. You forgot them. I'm not scolding you. I am reminding you and I am assuring you. Whatever pound of flesh you think you're going to take. You are.

"It was a really spectacular evening not to mention the fourth largest gate in Emma history, the other three largest gates that beat him. Was Him. He's got the top four. I don't even know who has five if I had to get. That's probably his to that prick. So. Do you, WanNa go out of top. Nobody does to fighters in the history of earth, have gone out on top Lennox, Lewis and George Saint Pierre. Do you want to be the third? Or would you like to come back and get mauled by? That is what you're up against and I. Don't know that I would buy into any other argument. I. Know I know that one is very weak in. That is very very a school yardage, oh. You're scared. And under that you can ever call conor McGregor scared and even if he hasn't stopped him from doing something, the guy goes and gets in cage fights in three different weight classes, and he gets into a squared circle fight with a guy who'd never lost that it when he's a seven to one hundred and I. Don't know that you could call conor McGregor scared. But do you do look at the chips in front of this would be a very bizarre retirement. He also came out in shared a number of things with us I appreciate I mean just again. I thought they were interesting. I like the way conner's mind works. He said that he went to the organization and laid out a map. Here's who I should fight when and why? That's not what they wanted to do, so he okay? So he comes back with another map, lays it out. Here's who I WANNA fight when and why, and that got rejected and that frustrated him. Set that aside. I liked that. I like a guy that wants to be busy. I like that's willing to do it. At two different weight classes regardless of opponent, who does not want to have to wait even as a remarkable opportunity, which is a world championship fight. As far as the mentality in the willingness of Connor Theater stands a little more to the story. Was He right? was there a little bit more to the story? Yeah, probably probably, but if that wasn't revealed to us and we're just operated on what was told, which is that he would like to be I like that. That's good leadership particularly at a time like now. Particularly at a time like now. Is there a greater good and another thought that hasn't been revealed to us from the other side of the table? Yeah, you bet your ass there is. We don't know that piece of the story that will come out. The we'll meet again. Or the? Batum wakes are looking interesting right now. Right and I mean there's a major lesson in this. How do you make the Bantamweight Division? Specifically throw a dart at the wall, but right now we're talking bantamweights. How would you make the Bantamweight, division, interesting overnight. We'll put them on display. I don't know that I've ever seen this done before that it ever has been done before aside from. They did this with the heavyweights one time. There was an all heavyweight main card five fights on the main card. Five fights were all heavyweights. In fact, it culminated with junior. Does Santos versus Frank Mir was for the championship that night? Bummer Roy Nelson fought for doom. It's just all heavyweights. All sudden heavyweights are on display all of a sudden real easy. Let's start matching these guys up in there. They're red hot. The same thing happened with the bantamweight and I don't know in hindsight if the marketing department thought that was going to be a good marketing ploy, because it was never advertised as bantamweight card. But if you go, look at it, they're all on display, and there's so many things there, so many moving parts in cody. Garbrandt without question is a star. He has the factor. Whatever he's doing, something special is happening. And the same is true for Sean o'malley. And I could play this game along the card. But I think that you understand the point and. We're in a very bizarre time. As human beings right the world, just kind of a weird. Place and you've had some of the bigger names within this sport. Come out and flex their muscle and try to throw it around right now and largely. That's perceived muscle. You can create stars very very quickly. If you put them on display I, have shared a story with you guys a number of times that involves Andre Loss. And Andre heard the story one time. And thought I was insulting him. I don't know how we got to. That conclusion would not insult the pit bull. But to tell this story, absent of Andre would be amiss and look. It was real simple. It was my debut. Two, thousand and five. To put that in perspective for you in two thousand and five, there was six shows a year. If! You left the UFC. Ballatore was not even a name back then to put in perspective, strikeforce was not even a name. WEC was running. Pride was running. One of was not even a name who is a different time in the sport you had to. Pride going on over Japan, they were doing five shows a year. The UFC here. They were doing six. So that was all the Ama you had. If you were released from, one of those organizations could go onto the regional seen. USC Vet or pride vet next to your name on a poster you in very high demand. You keep yourself busy and go earn a living doing that, but was a very rare.

"What's happening? Guys happy Wednesday and thank you for joining another special episode of you're welcome Conor McGregor retired. I gotTa tell you for a guy who wants to fight Floyd Mayweather. He spends a lot of time copying floyd mayweather I can't think of anybody with more arbitrary meaningless retirements than floyd, but connor sure is coming in close. I have to tell you guys and I say fairly lighthearted all fairness. I suppose there's two ways to look at it. Is He really retired or is this just something he said? Let's start with. The is really retired if that were true. I would feel a blow I. would sincerely Miss Connor and this rare guy? Every fighter has the same commodity, their performance and nothing else not so fast except for Connor. Connor brings something else to the table. He brings something special to the table and I could summarize it with one word. Interesting. Connors interesting that may sound like a simple word or even a condescending word. What, fighter is interesting. If, let me ask you guys. It's too serious question if conor McGregor was having a meal right now. And, it was being live streamed. Would you go click the link and watch him eat the answer's. Yes, it's yes, he's interesting. He'll be wearing something interesting. It'll be eating something interesting. He will say something interesting. He will be an interesting location. He will hold his fork and knife in an interesting. There's just. There's something very special to the character and the person that is connor. I. Don't think I need to sell you. On his performance do I the guys want so many world championships? He has forgotten. One of them claims to be a champ champ. He's a champ champ champ. He forgot one of them. I would do. I have to say anything more about his performance, but. I would sincerely miss him, and here's the one thing. That does have to be considered in terms of. Is Connor really done which I am very light on I'm very light on it. But there does have to be considered if there's ever been a guy that does what he says he's going to do. It's connor. You say whatever you whatever you want about every crazy idea that Turkey's had. He does. Now. Let's look at the other side. Okay, first off. This isn't the first retirement second off a guy like conor. McGregor I do not believe retires at six am, and that's exactly what time it was in Ireland. When he put this out on a Sunday morning through social media, I mean the level of a shock in that alone. would be a little bit odd but I gotTa tell you. Have not been the best and making these predictions lately. I mean I'm. I'm only oh one, but I'm still. Oh, right? That was Henry so. WHO DOES I didn't take Henrietta word when he retired. Something you say goes to the press conference. He said something a little different. He's not actually going to give that belt up gives the belt up then we'll know he meant it. Henry, minute Henry Gift, Volta. We could predict whether Henry comes back. I would predict he would, but he's GonNa come back at a significant financial loss. Soon as you lose that championship for anyway, it's designed per contract to lose it in competition. But there is other ways to lose it. which is what he did to give it back either way he doesn't have it. And that clause in his contract is now gone. I'm talking about participation on the back end. Pay Per view points so I take Henry is very sincere. That's the only point where I bring that. Up I take him as very sincere, and I would not have taken him sincere. Had He not actually? Giving it up and walked away from that participation clause so when you look. At conor McGregor is a little bit tough. It's a little bit tough to fully say he is not. Going to do it. The argument though was as confusing as the tweet. The argument that he made was every idea. I bring to the UFC. They say no to. Any said I want to fight more. I am ready to fight. I am in Camp I prove that I came back. They want me two hundred, seventy, one fifty. Give a damn. Give me an opponent I. Don't give a damn the location I. Don't give a damn, but they keep saying no okay. Let's just take him at his work because I could see where that would be very frustrating. Lot fighters have the same frustration. The only resentment I have to the sport was I only got to compete three times a year. That was the only part about this sport that I'd always so frustrated about. So I could just share on a personal note. Okay I get it. He's back and he wants to compete. But let's take him at his word. Let's not taken with a grain of salt. Let's take very literal here. His suggested answer for not getting a match in a timely fashion is to never have a match again for the rest of his life. which is what retirement would mean? That doesn't seem like the most reasonable solution which is why I am very light on this. I was on I hate this morning and Max. Kellerman brought up a very fair point. He goes look. I'm summarizing if he goes look. CONOR McGregor just went out with a win k. he's one one of his last three contests in the last one was flat impressive. Twenty seconds he throws twenty strikes. Nineteen of homeland. He takes zero back. He's batting, a hundred percent defense and a ninety nine percent offense I mean..

Here's Who Really Benefits From The Dominance Of The U.S. Dollar

"So Tracy. I hate to say that brought this whole crisis. There has been sort of one John of article or one genre of discussion. And I've never really been comfortable with. And that is people making really big picture forecasts or statements about sort of the future of the world. I Yeah I mean it feels like a little bit early to be jumping to discussing the second order effects right like there's so much to talk about right now as these things are actually unfolded. Yeah exactly and of course one of the big questions that's out there and that everyone wants you on and I'm GonNa give it to and I've written about it and I've talked about. It is what happens was sort of globalisation. What happens with future of the dollar the US's Preeminent role in the global financial system? We sort of talked about it a little bit with Adam to talk about it with other Other people as well and it's of course incredibly intriguing to discuss we still We just don't know anything. Yeah I think that's true and it definitely falls into one of those sort of big picture. Things that people are talking about at the moment. And it's something that we've sort of discussed on various episodes before right. Dollar dominance has definitely been a theme for the past year or so on our show. You little skeptical when I was like all. I don't think we should have these big picture. Future conversations. You seem a little skeptical of my now. I get it I mean. I don't think anyone really knows at the moment so a lot of it is speculation but also markets are always looking so I kind of get why people are naturally template to be looking at the big picture topics true. Yeah I guess you'd have to do so anyway. We're not going to make a big. We're not trying to make a big forecast here today. But as we talk about globalization as we talk about the dollar I do think it is useful to at least understand how it got to the current system what the current setup is. And what's actually yeah? Basically understand the the current world order and how we got her. Yeah I think that's a great idea and the dollar is so much a heart of the global financial system that we sort of take for granted. But it's definitely worthwhile to step back for a second and things like all. How did we get into a position? Where emerging markets are all like rushing to issue billions of dollars worth of dollar denominated debt? How did we get to a position? Where all of trade finances basically denominated in dollars. Why has that happened right exactly right and you know. There's a lot of misconceptions about all of this. How TRADE WORKS. Who benefits from the strong dollar or who benefits from the dollar permanent role we often hear of. Us ability to issue dollars as a privilege. But it's not. It's not really that a clear. We talked about this a little bit recently on an episode with met climb but the sort of the preference of different actors within the global economy regarding current arrangement is not as as clean as one might one might right and there is an argument that POPs up every once in a while but having the dollar so enmeshed in the financial system can actually be a negative for the US. And we've seen that crop recently with you know people talk about the Fed being the world's central banker does that sort of constrain. What it can do at times like this even before then so yeah definitely worth talking up okay. So today we are going to talk about that and we have a recent get. We actually talked about talk with him. Several weeks ago about Municipal debt when he is the CO author of a recent essay titled the Class Politics of the dollar system for the website. Phenomenal world is Yaacov Fagin. He's the associate director of the future. Capitalism program at the Berggruen Institute. And we're GONNA talk about how we got to this a the state how the dollar got to the state who really benefits from it. Who gets hurt from it and what it really means to preserve it so knockoff. Thank you very much for joining us. I should note that your co author. Dominick make it unfortunately today by glad we have you. What are you? Start by telling us what you The big picture of what your goal was with his essay. The class all its dollar system in sort of this essay was kind of a really long time coming And I really the person the two peop- The three people. I should probably think the most for kind of this happened are dominic who kind of got us to. Right. It's And the James Institute obviously for publishing yet but there's also someone else in the background of this essay. Is Nils Gilman? Who is my boss at the Berggruen Institute in over the years I've worked with him. We've had this very long conversation about we know. Why does the world use the dollar? And why is it a problem and he you know he's not specialist in international finance and this stuff is really technical and I spent like quite a long time kind of in a conversation with him like kind of pouring this stuff out right eventually told me you need to write this essay up right. You need to write an essay that just gives a literature review essentially of this kind of point of view of what the dollar system is politically. And why it's not necessarily you know very clear cut America versus the world story and so eventually this got written up right and that's the kind of story we're trying to tell is. It's very hard to pin down a national interest in the world that's hybrid as Perry Languid. Say Right it's a world in which there is a private system that's yearly inter mediating on an international level an a national in the system in which nations are essentially creating public goods called units of account right and that this international system mediates this hierarchy is of these units of account just as much as national power dynamics do so lucas through useless. Then talk about. The political system are around the dollar. What is that exactly? So argument is that it's actually class. Right is almost a or at least like social stratification as a kind of Meta politics right that the dollar is actually pretty good for a large cross section of people no matter what their position in the global value chain or where they're located and it's pretty bad for another other across sections again without considering international boundaries. That they are. It's pretty bad for a lot of people no matter where they're located or what part of the global value chain there

"And it says similar to one that Travis has an antibody test that you can take to see if you have had it in the past is that being worked on how soon might we have that because that could be really helpful in people that maybe have a very mild case of it or maybe even didn't show symptoms at all yeah I think that we called lap core yesterday asked about when that will be available because I think every patient in my practice we want no G. have some antibody immunity to it did you have some exposure you may not have known about and that when that's available I'm sure most people are going to get tested for it because that also dictate whether vaccinating those people and also whether vaccinating those people has delivers immunity as well but that is not available currently to see if somebody has had a past exposure and that they still have some immunity but that will be we will see the major labs offering that once that's developed all right let's go to Dominick Dominick is on the phone eight seven seven six oh two nine six nine six if you have a question for doctor COBOL Dominic go ahead hello airlines one in the monitor wise what's the temperature where above normal where you should just stay home or you know might be a sign of the film is good question yeah I think the cut point for me would be a hundred hundred point five I think a hundred and one is certainly some kind of infection but people can look run low grade Jeepers with other things again most children are gonna run pretty high fevers with any virus middle aged adults may not in really old adults may not as well but a twenty or thirty year old may run low grade fevers and an older folks people are seventy or eighty sometimes don't develop if you heard all the contractions in the older people as we talked about before we're going to have such severe shortness of breath low oxygen levels can walk up the stairs can't walk out to the mailbox so again I I would use coupling of around a hundred got it may go down yeah that's.

Locusts could rob millions in an already-vulnerable region of food

"Time to head to East Africa now in the huge swarms of locusts that have been devastating crops and grasslands that the U. N. is warning today of the danger of famine in the region if the insects aren't brought under control Ethiopia Somalia Kenya Tanzania and Uganda will be affected and food shortages were were even before the locusts arrive the U. N.'s food and agriculture organization says it needs more money to pay for an aerial spraying to kill the locus and stop them breeding Dominick Cruz is director of emergencies at the FAA we have huge locust presence in Kenya in the it chokes out as well as in Somalia the latest developments being that since the beginning of this week northern Tanzania in the the Cayman general and region as well as north eastern Uganda also affected by the locust situation we have thirteen million people that thought a cute of food insecurity and another twenty million that are on the verge of acute food insecurity so it means that people are already facing Unger I understand yeah but Bhatia's head of agriculture the charity farm Africa she's based in the Kenyan capital Nairobi and she's been telling me what it's like when a swarm arrives it does take bees and but when you look up in the era it's so make millions and millions over black insects that just deterring the sky is so these do these buzz and you know hello to vote these more flies which are quite high the movie informs it doesn't move or live ones it's I suppose because of the wind so they move in waves and you could see the fuss with coming and then they're not really far apart and then you can see just a small distance just maybe even less than a meter and then you see the next form very close by when you look up you can't really see anything other than not just black insects and it is scary all we want expecting them and though I think what drew my attention mostly was the noise from the chip and I wondered where the kids were screaming sold looking up and seeing the locusts I think the local communities having been informed and shown hollow deluca scum is that the door quite free because images the peoples that making noise and but we will grow old and die does a lot of noise who do you and don't you well I think there was no time for panicking or getting worried so it was screening truck should immediately and what happens when they arrive in an area they had to they won't land on the trees all the shrubs all the crops and start eating straight away yes one woman no one from a walk up and down her phone was right where they just invaded on the whole farm so basically what she could see was just she didn't understand what the carpet was about but no on venturing Klose concede that it towards the insects so that's a show can these nothing you can do then when they've watched on to the crow the challenge with the farmers old what farmers have been advised is that make sure they do not touch on their crops the U. N.'s warning of a possible famine if there the Lakers are allowed to continue to devastate crops did did do you agree with that I do agree especially for the livestock yeah I stocks are going to be the primary question keys over the locust invasion eve they do not have any forward any posture they're not it's going to be a challenge for the livestock farmers the challenge I think could no with the feminist thinking that that this is occurring very close to the next season the next season is supposed to be starting in much X. and that's the long green season which most of the phone must rely on soul endo if the low cost I laying eggs on the ground then he means when that crop will be my team the second or third generation over the low costs will be at a very good state you know will be adjusted when the they feed their lot and the adult stage there lately to damage the young crops and that would mean busy carried the from us would go it's it's due for the phone lines because then they're able to get anything out of the crop so I agree with you that yeah you've action is not taken in the very near short term in the next maybe six eight months when yeah you're going to have a lot of challenges with though food is well I'm I'm when you say action that means what I a campaign of spraying pesticides it could be yes but also on the ground as well because I and I think it has to be timely because at this point we don't even need to worry much about that and that's the key thing we need to worry more about the second generation the eggs that are being made on the ground end up it's expected that the the seas on during this is on the ring so going to be here and it's also been predicted that we are going to experience quite good grateful is the soul this is going to be the best growing environment and for crops as well as breeding environment for the low cost as well so the next season is one which is going to be a challenge and they confirm that may be for me to get to making sure that all the hot spots a trees people and they are doing some variants doing sculpting so that we can be able to get to the low cost of the most critical thing at the mall but states once their eggs have been able to hatch endo they're interested where you the two have become be able to fly the flow developed that links yet then we can try to order yeah they they can be controlled at

"With lisa lampe meli. Hey everybody we are back. It's lisa levin l e the former queen of mean now the queen of meaning 'cause i'm f- in meaningful with the podcast you never liked in the first place but now you can't seem to stop listening to out of self hate. It is let lease out by special. Guests in the studio is the fantastically funny pete dominick. He is on sirius. Radio's insight eight one twenty-one. Any show is called stand up with pete dominick. Listen to that monday through friday nine a._m. Till noon eastern don't listen. I mean i don't care do you p i do. I want all of your points grabbed all three of them. Listen to my awful thought provoking program. I heard that because of howard stern being on serious areas there are millions of new listeners. How many of those listeners have dropped off of series after listening to you. I think that i they have probably helped to create the cancellation of at least half a million subscribers. I'm so proud of you because that's a big following to not have habit and it's really interesting that they keep me there it is it's weird well blackmail if you follow him his on instagram his name aim is at not john fuels that deeply hurt is it ugly joey hosting pictures of himself like <unk> old headshot like really good pictures of these handsome though but it's but it doesn't. I don't find that it's very arrogant he here. I'm saying z. They perform a throw. I have a few reform delay. Everyone sexy performing. Look you look sexy in real life life new kid you. Would you have good arms. I think you have terrific arms. We're going to post a picture of pete's arm one day and you'll i'll say well that doesn't suck as much as the rest of them. How do you feel about that. I feel like in high school. One of my nicknames was big little body. If you think okay that's the most clever nickname by the way didn't matter girls than love it so a kid in high school said that pete dominick has a black penis head. It just made up a rookie after soccer practice when we all went that gang shower and you have that coming of age thing and eighth grader with a bunch of like that's what came out of it pete dominick. It has a black like that. That's wrong because there had been no black person to ever have been as as small as dominant. That's not untrue but the point is a discoloration like it just a weird rumor to begin and like every all these girls that like what's the guy in the leg full name is mike bristol radio and sirius accused new york gues- old friend of mine all my destroyed me mike. It's lisa finale here. Do me a favor go on the radio tomorrow and do not apologize for pizza tair. You say it over and over because let me say he's at the age where he should let it go i was. I can't let it go. I was working at caroline's years after high school. It was a bringer show and and a bunch of my high school buddies came and before the show really important show for me. They gave me a gift and i pull it out now. A rubber dill one of them had taken a black sharpy and colored the head and then i bombed i bomb that night. Okay i blame you for not having focus. I also blame you for carrying <music> a sharpie. You should always carry a chubby. Did you have one at the time. Would i have done with it. You should have one as a celebrity. You always the ready to autograph. This shows your low self esteem which i think you that's all i'm saying. I'm letting i'm helping. Nobody's really wanted a lot of many autographs for me and my when i was on c._n._n. Every night sometimes people would ask but quit bremen people ask now. It's because they think i'm dr trae yeah. That is true really think. I'm the wrong person when i finally met daughtry by the way people been telling me. I looked like him for years. He didn't no one ever told him that he looks like me. 'cause he's the really famous one in the in the equation so so it was amazing to walk up to him and have him look at me because we do look very much alike right and right and it was a definitely an eerie moment for for both of us well. Let me ask this 'cause because we joke about you being horrendous looking and disgusting however you're not. That's why it's funny because you don't if somebody really ugly came in here i'm not going to go yet is an eyebrow browse so yeah you have features that aren't completely horrifying to the human site which is better looking. You're daughtry. I think he's probably a little better. Look think i think a little bit. I'll post a picture of your arm and his left nut and we'll see schumer. What makes him better looking that. He's his talent. You know like you could see a really really ugly. Person goes onstage saying with a beautiful voice like oh. That's sexy. I get it. I get it so you're saying he's ugly but has a lot of talent. Yes good pete. I'm gonna ask you one question and you're my only this week. Only strange asian straight is more than everybody <hes> strata pete sometimes as many gifts to bring in a big issue. They still having are working on anything in your life because you've resolved that you i know you worked on your marriage and it's come full circle and you're very happy you have these lovely delightful daughters. You have this this quote unquote good job. What do you think think is there anything in your life that plagued your haunt you every day in this is somewhat recent in my life. I worry about losing what i have so i am. I learned the lesson years ago about enough eckhart tollway and marianne williamson who now all know and <hes> a lot of mentors in my life a lot of self-help <hes> even richard carlson stuff don't sweat the small stuff and more <hes> taught me that there at some point there has to be enough in your life and if you achieve this and you get this if you have an understanding of what it is you have to be content with that because in other words. You're never happened yeah. You always think well if i get this job. If i get this relationship again this money <hes> this whatever i'll be happy and then you get it and you're not happy and we as comedians know so many people well. I got it. I got it all and our you content so show content of the greatest job. I could ever ever imagine talking on the radio for three hours a day about things i care about getting paid very well for it. I have an amazing woman who is my wife and two amazing amazing kids. All of us have our health. I have a very nice home. <hes> i have health insurance. My parents are still like everything. My life is going great. I'm so worried about losing my job because i think about all the other things i would do in my career to make money and none of them are as ideal as the situation situation right now and not only that i lose my job. I lose my health insurance. My wife doesn't have health insurance so in our situation you know it's not it's not a good financial situation. Impose if i lose this gig. There's not a lot of this type of work that i have. I have a sweet gig in media so i spend a lot of time way too much time worrying green about losing my job at sirius x._m. Radio and it's it's okay if it's auntie haunting distraction yes you would you. Would you like some advice if yes no. I'm look desperate though with this to how to deal with this because i have two daughters and my wife and this this business it's and by the way it's not about <hes> this company. It's not about me more than anything else about this industry that we're in and and what my skill set is and when i think about all all the other things i would do lisa most of them require me to leave town right. I don't like to leave town. I like to be with my family and my garden. Let's put it this way. Kill the garden. That's no good my life that brings me so much actually helps me. During these times i go out in the garden. I'm just good at the moment and i love it well well. This is what i want to tell you. That's what i think. A lot of this is first of all contentment. I'm glad you're content but contentment doesn't just stop at ham content content happy. I don't want more. It has to extend to not catastrophe and not worrying so contentment ends the minute. You start catastrophes which is on my god. If i lose my job we learned health insurance and we're all going to die. We'll be homeless because it always ends up in homelessness norwich so here's what i think getting getting back to that present moment almost immediately as you see it. Happen is what it's about. No i have this moment. Wait i have this catching yourself is huge and i i think the resilience and the just the ability to bounce back from that thought will come quicker so yes tomorrow you might spend ten minutes agonizing over this and it went on a four hour drive. Today it's literally the challenge is how do i during this hour driving back to the present moment you say look. I know this sounds super corny but it's essentially you understand the gardening stuff. It's like look at the trees. Bring it back to the breath. Look at i'm breathing. I'll be alive and by oh well well. There are starbucks and say look at that beautiful logo. Look at the mermaid with no tits hanging out you could say to yourself. I'm lucky enough to be in this car. It's all about gratitude. It brings if you bring back to gratitude every time then you can't obsess about the future so obsession can exist with gratitude so suppose you're obsessing and you go what if you you lose a job and then oh thank god i have a job. I'm so grateful. I have kids. I'm grateful we're healthy. Then for a couple of minutes you bought time not worrying right. It was all about bringing it back to the moment and gratitude but then the other big thing is guess what something's going to happen. Your wife's going to die when your kids is. I'm going to have an accident. No one gets out of this life without loss. Your parents are going to die or get sick. You're gonna lose your believe anything but the fact is they're going to lose a limb but then maybe a finger what probably guess what it's not about never having loss. It's knowing that it you're strong enough to handle the loss and get through it well. I've not had loss in my life right soon so i break your arm right now because you you uh-huh yes with your bare hands very strong this family group. No i think seriously the thing is knowing my my dog knowing that you can handle loss. When's the last time i think about it seriously. Have you ever lost anything or been disappointed. In something and you thought it was really horrible. What do you mean. I thought it was horrible pain at the time. It felt really bad either physically or emotionally. I i think probably a women relationship. Hey you're alive. You somehow got through it. Your life's better that you're not in it that pain and somehow disappeared eventually because you worked on it well time candidate didn't wasn't as bad losing her. My life just wasn't as painful because she went to a woman woman and not a man. It was your pain. Is your pain yes. I didn't feel like i could be with that. You can't and you know what you can't compete with guest so you can't compete compete with other people. You can't compete with anybody. You just gotta live the best life peak can live and go. I'm worried about this but i can handle. What happens happens to handle it. I mean are you. May i mean i think you can cause. You've handled not becoming a successful comedian. That's not a seminal mental moment though in a dream of yours. It's not like they announced it at. I think people are afraid what would happen. In the fear is that we can't handle it and i think i think once you have. I think virtual stop worrying about it or the universe is gonna test you and show you here. Here's how to handle it..

"If you need to find a way to market him like he should be on the cover of like, you know, electronic gaming monthly and he should be doing interviews with in gamespot and in. And Kotoka when all those Dan websites like he should have been visible in the video game world. And now he's going to be. Oh, yeah. Now, they're putting money behind it. So you're correct. He he's going to be extremely visible. And they're going to try to build him as a star in that medium because once again to meet, you Johnson, amazing fighter everything else. Still fire. Right. He's only gonna fight for like five more years. He could be the face of your gaming company for fifteen if you want Tony hawk is still pushing stuff. Like, Tony Tony's not competing on a skateboard like so you can build these characters in sports to go way longer. John mad-. It is still the face of football on councils, you have these things where it lasts longer even than the person is is actively in the field to be Trish Johnson could've been that. We'll see if he turns into that. But I'm not sure if they saw that the US's a weird place in another thing that highlights that is they just shut down the flyweight division. Dimitrius is out there. Like, we don't really like short people. Bringing the money Dominick. Cruz told me that you have to twenty nine Dominick Cruz in there having a conversation. They're gonna shut it down. And I was like, really. Yeah. He was explaining why this made perfect sense. And he was right. Do you make perfect sense? Yeah. Because it will in his mind because he said if who tow is fighting DJ, I mean, if he's not fighting DJ these fighting, Sean, it's not me fighting dilatot. He's like take my ego out of it unless person that BT J dillashaw. Why should I be fighting him for the title? I'm looking so he's like it only tells me that. So who does getting that opportunity because they plan on shutting down the division? He was right. So weird. Right. 'cause now TJ and the reason he took this fight was to try to be dual champion originally. That's why he campaigned for the fun against mighty mouse right to cut weight and become a dual champion. Eliminating division takes that accomplishment away. From like, are you really beating champion when that belt is connected to nothing will. I mean cyborg has built and look at division. There's not even ranking sport. No. But she sells. Yeah. She does. Like the whole the whole point is like the flyway division. No matter what anybody says like all hardcore fan. So you love it. Nobody watches them outside community Johnson. Nobody they don't care. You don't car they give some excited fights. But they do not give exciting fight. This is that the UFC has not put a red cent behind marketing that division because it's been Dimitrius Johnson and everybody else for so many years and guys like just videos, I mean is partially to do the fighters as well guys benefit as pets the couldn't get past a guy like DJ or when they get close they lose. So there's there was no marketing push put behind those guys in the fact that they're not headlining events. They're not household names. Do not like the only in there because of DJ it's only to find out who's gonna fight Dimitri Johnson. This only reason why they existed in. And now it's like. Nobody's going to miss them. Let's be honest. Because who who are you missing added a division whose the fight that you go damn, man. I really want to see if to meet your Johnson, it's a hudas moving up who listen race. Yeah. No. Like everyone else. I wanna see can move up. When we saw tossing dots..

"You know they're not super tied to greet it's only they spent much on the gave up dominick leone turned out to be to be way worse than we thought he was going to be remember we thought that was a steal of trade for the car closer come on they scoop they're closer rando grischuk spring training stats but anyways so why why does it matter like if greek hits the bench or even is eight at this point i mean the team right they've only banked eleven wins eleven and five they're out they're out doing well like to get on a fast start helps a team like this that needs they're solid like i don't think they're an awful team but i i didn't have them getting a wildcard spot or anything like that but you look at the rotation and obviously they need health but it's a really steady one through five when when hyman garcia just a quality perfect tely solid major league pitchers your number five that's pretty good to go with sanchez stroman have and marco strada this is a team to that like this is it for josh lawson in terms of being used are going to be a free agent at the end of this year the j also free agent smokes thirty one yeah i mean this is team if they're gonna go for it this is the year to do it so when you bring up the the gut.
