"The Dallas stars scored four goals in the second period in route to a 6 three win over the Seattle kraken, max domi had two goals and an assist as the stars bounced back from a 7 two loss in game three to even the best of 7 series at two games apiece. I think to a man we all knew that we didn't play our best last game and his team doesn't have two bad games in our own. And we just showed that tonight and that's from top to bottom. We had everyone going. So absolutely massive win. Jaden Schwartz scored both of the kraken goals, the stars Joe pavelski notched his 6th goal of the series. Jim Bernard, Seattle

"I'm Sean fantasy. I'm Amanda dobbins. And this is the big picture a conversation show about cocaine. That's right, folks. Cocaine bear is here. It's a movie about a bear on cocaine. That's the movie. So we're going to talk about that movie and our favorite cocaine movies. Today on the podcast, this is really happening. Excited about that Amanda? Is this a good idea? I am not so sure. I don't know if it is either. You have a whole personal section on here. Yeah. Well, I haven't made any notes on that because we're going to share our feelings in real time. Before we get to that, I do want to point out that in the second half of this episode, we have much more wholesome content, honestly. One of the best interviews I feel like I've done on this show in a long time, domes, the director of turning red, which is the wonderful Pixar movie that was released in 2022. Nominated for an Academy Award for best animated feature film. Domi was here on the show. She was really fun and insightful and talked about like basically her whole career her rise through the ranks of Pixar and how she made her movie. I hope people will stick around for that conversation, which I promise is more wholesome than what we're going to be discussing in the first half of our talk here. So there's no normal way to segue. Let's just let's talk about it. Let's talk about cocaine there. The trailer for this movie dropped in you thought what? That's funny. Okay. I thought I will enjoy 15 minutes of this movie, and then nap or meal plan through the rest of it. Which is what you do with premise movies like this. But I thought it had at least a solid 20 minute setup. Because a bear on cocaine, that's funny. Good bit. Yeah, I will say that I didn't pay very close attention to the trailer. It was on during sports, and I kind of saw all the ehrenreich doing something and seeming sort of funny and I'm happy to see all the narrow I get opportunities to be funny as are you. And the film rules don't apply. One of my favorites. So as I go, sure. Okay, cocaine bear. I will say that I thought it had a completely different plot than the plot of the film that we saw aside from the bear on cocaine.

"When I get those chances, so it's been good playing with those guys later. Have you been extra motivated to prove yourself or so what you can do? No, I don't know, it's just, you know, I think all of a sudden you get gone and you start feeling good, so if you're feeling confident and like I said, I was beneficiary of a few plays tonight and he was the last couple of games too, so I think things are just clicking. Yeah, he played great. I mean, obviously. Just in general, being down three nothing and stay with it and he made some big saves for us. So yeah, it's exciting to see I think how to diagonalize these 5 and one now, so it's a pretty impressive start to his career. Along that noise, Dallas has been one of the teams that's been reportedly interested in you. Does it feel different when you're doing it against that kind of a team? Not really right now. I think we're just, you know, plan. I think the last few games seem to be against teams that, you know, there's some rumors about out there, but yeah, just playing the game. No matter what you guys are easier to block out that noise when you guys are winning. Yeah, it's fun in here and I mean, you know, he went for it and he went a couple hour time, shoot out, come back wins. It's a fun group right now. You're 76 points and 32 goals against the stars are both most against any team in the NHL in your career. Just kind of like playing against the stars. I don't know. I mean, they're tough to play against. Especially as they've gotten better. I think the early years, every time you saw him on the schedule, it was, you know, you circle those games. It's a fun or you know play. I mean, if you get hawks fans and a lot of people come down, so yeah, I don't know for whatever reason, that's success against. What would you think of that domi sauce to you? So nice, we'll look bad if I missed that one. Just don't double tap it and make sure it crosses the line, but yeah, I mean, that was a nice pass. "From a three gold deficit they take them down four three four unanswered goals. Scored by the hawks tonight two by max domi two by Patrick Kane, they've both got point streaks. They now both I take that back dome he retakes the team lead with 17 goals on the season as Kane matched them for a moment with 16, but either way the Blackhawks win their fourth straight. I'm Joe brand. This is the Blackhawks postgame show taking you up to midnight as we recap this Blackhawks victory over the Dallas stars. If you'd like to join us three one two 9 8 one 7200 you can call or you could text. Christian texted, he's rather he called, he's from clarendon hills and wants to talk about max domi. What do you want to talk about max tomi Christian? Hey, so I'm pretty interested in seeing how well he's done lately and with Patrick Kane and I think I'm kind of curious on your thoughts of if his value has been going up a lot with how well he's been playing as well as Patrick Kane obviously maybe not all the wins are the best for the tank, right? But they're great for team morale, but I think that the value of both dominion has gone up a lot pre trade deadline. No, I definitely agree with you Christian. I don't see how that can't be the case because Patrick Kane's recent surge over these last four games has been so huge compared to the beginning of the season. Max domi is even a little bit more interesting because he was kind of signed on to this team for just a one year deal the moment the black clocks inked a deal with him and Andreas ethnicity who it was looked at as, okay, this is trade bait. These are guys that could be point producers, they're on one year deals. They could be easily moved, but from all the conversations that we've had with max domi, he's loving Chicago. He's loving playing with Patrick Kane, obviously the better those two do, the less likely they're going to remain here. I know that Patrick Kane situation is not arbitrary, but just totally kind of random at this point. It's just based on what Patrick Kane is feeling, which we don't quite know still, but yeah, the way these two are playing together, it's helping out the black hawks in multiple ways, right? It's helping them win and play better right now. And bulking up their trade value is beneficial for the Blackhawks as well. Wouldn't you say Christian? Right. And I think that we could get to ourselves a situation where domi likes it here and maybe cane passes on a trade than we ended up getting a number one overall and we still got paid. And then it may be a little more enticing for them all to stay maybe a reduced salary, right? If we know we're getting bedard and in the coming season, nice to have some veterans here for the rebuild. I don't know what you think about that. I mean, Christian, I think that's a lot of optimistic thinking that's everything working out as best case scenario. I'm not saying don't shoot for the stars, but I do think that's the most optimistic thinking, but I like where your head's at. Absolutely. All right, Christian, take care of drive safe. Thank you. All right, that is Christian from claritin hills. Again, if you'd like to join us three one two 9 8 one 7200, you can call or you could text from the two O 9 area code. His sponsor by car star, trust car star, North America's leading premier collision repair provider with your collision repair needs, visit car star dot com to find a Chicagoland location near you. The number three star was Jamie benn. He scored the second goal for the Dallas stars giving them a two zero lead, but again, he did commit the tripping penalty that gave the Blackhawks the power play in the second period that allowed max domi to score that got the Blackhawks first on the board and eventually four unanswered goals for the hawks to beat the Dallas stars for three, and speaking of max domi, he's our number one star tonight, as domi collected. A total of two goals tonight and let's see four points total or three points total I should say he assisted on the first Patrick Kane goal, not the second. Speaking of those goals, let's take a listen of how they sounded over at the American Airlines center as again the Dallas stars struck first and it came in the first period after the black hawks kept some pretty good pace with the Dallas stars, but it was still Tyler Sagan striking first. "Radio network. Here's Joe brand. At the beginning of the season, the new Blackhawks head coach at that time, Luke Richardson said he doesn't care what the team's record is. He doesn't care where they are in the standings. He wants the opposing team to look at the schedule and think, oh man, we got to go through Chicago. Well, right now, that's what the Blackhawks are doing against three playoff caliber teams. They take down the Toronto Maple Leafs, they beat the Vegas golden knights in a shootout, and they come back from a three goal deficit tonight to take down the Dallas stars. Four straight wins for the Blackhawks who are red hot to begin their road trip. I'm Joe brand, this is the FanDuel rather this is the postgame show here on 7 20 WGN. Hawks win their fourth straight, they return the favor to the Dallas stars if you remember the last time the hawks were down in Texas, they coughed up a three goal lead of their own, but they return it tonight against Alice, a four three winner their fourth straight win and they hand the Dallas stars, their 5th straight game, without a victory. Let's head on over to the American Airlines center and bring in Troy Murray who told the bus driver to just wait for Troy to get back because we got some talking to do about another Blackhawks victory. Troy, this was another team friendly victory. It wasn't just Patrick Kane. It wasn't just max domi. They were big, big contributors, but it was another night for Jackson Sauber, another night for the top two lines, really, but this is just a team that didn't give up once again. I just love watching this group of guys, and we've talked about it all season long. A few games got away from them, but other than that, they've been right into it. And that was what they were talking about at the beginning of the season. We're going to be a competitive team. The opposition team is going to know that they were in a hockey game at the end of the night, and that's exactly what we're seeing here. This team just keeps working. You've got some great magic going on with domi and Patrick Kane right now of fun to watch those two guys. I mean, how incredible of a run that Patrick Kane is on right now? He just loved to see it and the Dallas stars. I mean, I don't think the stars took this game lately. I don't think the mate beliefs took the game lately. I don't think Vegas took the game lightly. That just means that the hawks are playing some darn good hockey as you mentioned to play three teams like that get results and teams that are solidly in the hunt for Stanley Cup contenders really, if you look at all the three teams that they've beat and they just worked hard at the end of the night they deserve to win these games. All three of them. Well, in it's what you brought up after the second period, too. The tripping penalty by Jamie benn was such a turning point in this game, but that's what's so good about this black clocks team right now. Troy is you give him a little bit of life and they're gonna take advantage of it and I really think that they're not able to do that if there's not belief within the entire team that they are capable of having these comeback wins, but that momentum just continues to build and build when they have these games like these. Cain talked about it Joe the other night about how much fun you know he has been playing with these guys and their record probably should be better because of the effort that they put in there. They haven't got the results and sometimes this season and maybe they don't have the high end elite skill that some of the teams that they're facing have in their lineup, but that doesn't mean that you can't win hockey games and that doesn't mean you can't work hard to get some results and you're really seeing that pay off right now and it's a loose team that's playing hard. They're getting good goaltending. You've got to give stub or a lot of credit in this game. He was under pressure and we talked about that sequence right at the end of the second period where the Dallas stars was at the first period I guess it was the Dallas stars had all kinds of opportunities and he just stood tall to the replay of the review that happened here. He had to make sure that his right pad was in position and he just kept the strength on there didn't allow that puck to cross the line and conclusive as the referees called it. I didn't see anything that showed that it did fully cross the line. So just an excellent job all around from everybody top to bottom. Yeah, I was gonna say everyone involved in the replay sequences is really earning their paychecks over the last couple of games. Yeah, and funny, you know, at the end, you kind of look up and you're going, you know, did that that last shot go ended if not the clock's expired, but we've seen that before. The real clock that we see on TV is that the game clock they have a different setup, a different sequence of how it is looked at. We thought for sure the goal last night was going to count. This one, you just kind of got a hesitate, but it was clearly not across the line before it wasn't even close to the net. Compared to what it was last night in Dallas quickly went off the ice, the hawks quickly got on the Easter celebrating, so some good things happening and they've got a couple of days before they face the shark, so on Saturday. Yeah, come on, Dallas's goal was short by a lengthy four tenths of a second. Not even close. You could have read an entire book with how much time was given there compared to Patrick Kane's a temple. I like John whiteman said last night that boy, that's as close as he's seen it happen. You can't get anything. The closer that .1 on the clock. Our clock doesn't decipher anything smaller smaller increments. So just assessment there from JW. Hey, that's why he's next to me. That's why I use the best well, hey, and I mean, I would keep replaying that goal last night because it just encapsulates the moment so well. It's gonna count. It's gonna count. I mean, that's what every one of us was thinking at that time, and then it was just a complete one 80 right after it. But you know, I will pick a bone here. I don't think we saw the clock matched up with the replay last night like we saw tonight with that little silver box in the bottom left corner. We did not have the official game clock. That was in publicized last night. No, it didn't. So we did not see anything that showed that the puck didn't cross the line. So that's to our credit. Right. I think. I don't know. Hey, we'll take anything we can get right now. Yeah, but I was pretty adamant that that puck was going to count that shot was going to count. But it should have the way that we saw it on our monitor. Right, no, I totally agree. All right, well, Troy, you get two days off now, right? I mean, yeah, it would be nice to stay in Dallas because the weather out in San Jose is not going to be anything good at all. Cold and rainy. Not surprising out there. Yeah, I mean, they're going through a cold spell, and even Arizona is going to be cold. And that's just kind of a quick one and done though in Arizona. You don't even really get to. No. No

"Speculation around what could happen to geopolitical tensions is one of the core points of focus for the markets as haven assets give way a little bit too risk in the last few hours Traders are optimistic that Russia is withdrawing its forces though President Biden says an invasion is still possible We heard a similar line from the head of NATO Meanwhile the latest data from the U.S. shows inflation is still running hot Prices paid to producers rose above forecasts in January And that does sort of bolster the case for the fed to be more aggressive in its tightening So anyone else now is max ketner He's the HSBC chief multi asset trying to just max You've had a look at the data You've slept over it How does that change the past for the fed What are we going to get Well good morning I think there's probably a bit more room for the front end to price a few more rate hikes perhaps So I wouldn't be really betting against that momentum just yet The reason is actually not so much the inflation data but much more from the activity data side We need to bear in mind that at the moment from an activity perspective there is an enormous SKU right now in the sense that whenever there is more negative than expected data are negative surprises Think about the PMIs from two weeks ago Everyone's sort of looking through everyone's blaming it on my phone right Everyone's got the excuse Oh that's just only chrome look through it don't take it seriously However whenever they are at or even above consensus And that actually goes for activity as well as the inflation data that you just mentioned Actually the initial reaction is always then well look at this despite domi crumb it's even better than expected and that means even more rate hikes will be coming And that I suspect will be going on with the January data with the February data in part part of the march data so it will take until April I think it's until really the Q two until we can go against that momentum and can say look perhaps that is a little bit too hawkish what we've priced so we do think that ultimately there's not going to be as much as being priced But at the moment it's not the time to lean against that momentum yet you want to be playing that momentum you want to play that across asset classes You want to be still playing that at the front end You want to be long cyclical long value and so on and so on all those not on trades that's what you still want to sit on into the second quarter Okay so you remain long until you get a shuddering thunderbolt as it were from the data The issue is this You say the next thing that will cut through is on growth And hence the reason why you're a little bit perhaps wary on cyclicals later in the year I'm looking at the yield curve two's tans this was sent through to me last night on what's up We can smell an inversion max And the last couple of times we had an inversion 18 months later we had a recession Do you think that the fed is wary of a flattening curve And if we have a recession in 18 months we're getting into the election at that stage Oh yes of course I mean if we look at the forwards you just shown the spot curve if we look at the forwards Looking forward to curve or tenants curve in the U.S. we are already flat to slightly inverted So the forwards are already telling us actually there is going to be more flattening to come and probably in a couple of months time We are completely flat perhaps even inverted And then the whole discussion starts again right Is it still a recession indicator Is it not In my mind it is not because I'm a big believer in it but simply because everyone's going to be discussing about it right I think in a couple of months time you can ask virtually every guest about it Is it still a recession indicates And that naturally sort of brings down risk amplifier And that is an impediment for the faith They probably want to bring in as many heights as possible And that is part of the difference to 2018 The difference to 2017 18 was that they've actually already hiked So they had something to cut The only thing they can play around with at the moment is actually market expectations So my sense is that they're guiding the market Super super hawkish now such that in the end they can play around with it and say hey actually In terms of this year it's going to be in terms of earnings and expectations Let's get to that because I look at the new data And it shows that for the S&P 500 you've seen quite a gloomy outlook The negative guidance revisions are the worst in at least a decade basically estimates are being reduced and it's adding to signs that the post pandemic expansion and profits may have run its course do you agree with that And do you then reallocate elsewhere Yes well I do think at the moment and particularly into the second quarter The U.S. shouldn't be your primary choice Inequities it should be things like Europe and equities that should be the most cyclical regions the more value you tilted regions I do think actually emerging markets actually both on the equity side but also on the debt side on emerging market local currency debt is very very attractive given how much they've been punished last year We've got to remember if you look at emerging versus developed market equities and you plot that against PMIs you plot that against the global credit impulse of China's credit impulse That's already priced and all for a lot of bad news right For DMA particularly for the U.S. that is not the case at all and perhaps one more word on the U.S. and on guidance on earnings expectations One thing that worries me in the U.S. as well is that actually earnings expectations for cyclical sectors haven't actually been revised so much lower right It's pretty much 50 50 at the moment We've seen record high revisions for cyclical cyclical sectors in the S&P last year So far there hasn't been an awful lot of correction to that So there is quite a few really really bullish expectations Look at things like industrials like consumer discretionary industries They both expected to grow earnings by like 30% Okay I mean they may roll over if we all begin to talk ourselves into a recession As you say you do close your overweight in U.S. equities and you pivot into your cyclicality in Europe The big core yes it was Goldman saying pull the rip cord on credit go to cash the Bank of America survey of course cash is on the up I think cash is at 38% I want to get a sense for you on credit I hear what you say about equities but where are you on credit I think credit is funny for now actually If anything.

"So not, uh, not great things for for for Max Domi right now. I always wondered about players like that. I know Matty Ellis. I think got traded from L A or Detroit L A and a deal. I remember at the deadline if I'm not mistaken. I've known a few guys that have been moved at the deadline off of the team that ends up winning and they they just talked about how hard it is. To watch their team go on and have success. I mean, even me leaving. I went to New Jersey and we had a really good team. We were second in the division. Buffalo was third, but still it was It was hard to see you guys going into the playoffs. Um, the year after I leave were too I mean, it's not like you know, it's not you, but it's just kind of like you're saying you think about it, and you're like Here's Here's the team having success. Bunch of guys that you really enjoyed. Even though you're with a new group of guys. It's still it just feels different. Like the the adaption period feels different, like the the way you enjoy success with players feels different because you don't have that same bond, you know, like It's It's very interesting and then I was so happy. I feel bad, saying this But I was so happy when Boston beat you guys. So when we went out to Philadelphia, who went on to win the cup, and I thought we were the favorite coming out of the East, but but Just to watch you guys playing against Boston in the first round thinking like Man could Buffalo roll on? To the finals yet Ryan Miller and net You had good pieces. You were tough. I mean, it's It's I couldn't imagine being on the other foot where the team is actually going to the finals, and you were just there and actually being a prominent piece to that team. So anyway, it's interesting. It's that there's more to it than just Stanley Cup championships and cash. There's psychological. There's emotional. There's a lot that comes along with this game. Is it really worth it? Instigators w gr 5 50. We will remember you when we come back and also cool New summer tune I'm going to tell you about, But then when we went at 11.

"You've gotta stay on as long as you're victim is yeah true. I mean there's kind of loopholes in all all the rules and regulations But there's certain amount of honor steve when it comes to sports. It's a nice thought. I just feel like very often guys will take advantage of it. It's you know you see diving in hockey. You see guys now anytime stick. Blade comes up over. somebody's waste. Snap their head back as all my god. He's just changed. Saad my face off with that even the stick blades. Come nowhere near him. So they're always looking for an edge. Unfortunately what's the most punishable thing in hockey. You know what what what is it. What's the dirtiest play the dirtiest play kicking. I guess well. Slew footing is a good one right. If you take a guy. Standing still spitting in a guy's face sped spitting Spearing a guy taking the blade of your stick sticking. That's one what is your most. What is in your opinion. What is the biggest foul in hockey icing right. i mean you can't be doing that stays true. You're gonna wreck guys career. I think spearing sparing. I think if you try and stab a guy with the blade stick. You should go away for a long time right. What do you think i'd go with kicking. it's at the end of the day. That's as with spearing it can. Actually you can actually cut a guy and And do serious damage right and so much intent. You know when you talk about the kneeing thing you can always have a discussion well. He changed his angler. He cut to the middle of the last second. I didn't want him to go for a breakaway and get by me. So there's still some mentality of that's hockey play to some degree. Even though it just reaction and it it ends up looking awful. You don't kick a guy unless it's totally intentional whether to stomp or whether it's a standard you know i kick this so much intent behind that and it's all ugly thank god you don't see it very often the kicking thing. Yeah true. it's true last thing in the hockey thing before we a break max. Domi is the latest in. John tortorella crosshairs. He's expected to be a healthy scratch. As we record this for the monday night game against the panthers domi was well. He's been moved around. The legal. little certainly montreal was glad to have him. Initially in the Alex kenya deal but he seemed to wear. It is welcome in montreal. They sent him to columbus for josh anderson. And hab fans love josh anderson big power ford domi as already Well he's found his way into john tortorella doghouse. The bottom line is if you're not willing to play to way hockey you're not going to be getting along with taurasi. Yeah here's here's the problem for taurasi call. Is that right larry. Is that right larry. I guess that's what i'm saying. Ahead on get the fuck outta here. Then says pretty good exchange between john tortorella and larry brooks from the new york post. But it's not my favorite john tortorella. Jimmy it is the hbo special back in. Twenty twelve when tortorella was Head coach of the new york rangers and the rangers had just played a bad first period in the playoffs and toward a relic toward the new. One fucking defend. I've seen fucking defend before and you're gonna do it here. That's how we're not going to our church. Jesus told us time we have to talk about. So if that's all out as far as competing against that team we will get tell tonight that we have two periods here so our best. Y'all but by we have your. That's it we're fucking doug. Pack it up this way i'd say so. Let's do we have forty minutes to go take time aaa. They are not his own our club. Let's see what are against. We ready to go here. There's something wrong with john tortorella. You think absolutely absolutely yeah. He's got underlying issues man. Okay from somewhere from his childhood or as you know. I don't know what kind of hockey he played with. The did he play in. The league was a big nhl guy. I never played never play. So he's got he's got a problem. Okay it just don't you. Just don't do that. Steve in professional sports you know. He just randomly sit these guys. You know what i think. He's got a power power problems. Stevie because you know you hear from a lot of coaches and sports all the time when the team's going bad and they got to face the press and they'll they'll even get hammered with by the way you're superstar here your second you know your first liner ryan nugent-hopkins. Okay not performing very well What's your answer to that you know and you know a really good coach is right. We'll say gotta grind through it you know. Having some bad luck we knows potential. We know what he can do. Everybody knows what he can do. And we believe in them. You know we believe in them and you need to believe in your guys stevie in sports we all know that you have to have unconditional belief man in your players you do. We're all in it together and by that guy doing that. I think it's it's just the wrong deal on team. Sports here really is guilt. I think so. I think there's some wrong with the way better way you don't you don't wanna you. Don't wanna hack on these guys. Steve who are who are great players. Max does great player right. Really good player So i don't. I think there's some wrong with the thing is you can't go after everybody with the same game plan and And maybe he just thinks that that's the only way he can handle some of these skill guys who don't basically play the game the right way. The the defensive hockey is not as important to them as the offensive side and And that really rubs him the wrong way i think and that's always going to be a struggle a i mean it's all about keeping your job and it's all about being successful and nobody can be treated the same way. If he does that with one player it might backfire in his face with another player. So you've got you've got twenty three guys that year the caretaker off and they're all absolutely difference right probably break them in there like three or four categories but generally. They're all different and he's not a lunatic like he's not. He's not like abusing players per se. At least that. I can see Anything like the bill. Peters thing or mike babcock so it's hard to keep your job in the nhl if you look at the nhl coaching list right now. Half the league has been hired in the last two years half the league. It's a thirty one team. League in half of the guys have been hired here in the last hours. Yeah right so you're hired to be fired. You do what you have to do to keep your job and john tortorella. A not only keeps his jobs for considerable amount of time but He's right there among the act. I mean as far as active guy. He'd be right near the top of the list.

"Which is part of it for sure but but i really got a sense of. This guys was talking more about family than he was about. Actually playing games you know. The comeback story was all over the nhl last night in vancouver canucks are back and they took on the toronto maple leafs and they just come off. Twenty four day layoff in which the almost the entire team like. Every single player is sick. Some of them taking iv's to get through co vid and so now they're all lined up gas with nineteen games thirty two days after this twenty four day layoff. This is almost i mean. It is unfair to ask them. But that's if you want to continue competing in this season there's not much choice so right in the first game they gotta take on the best team in the north maybe one of the best teams in the league in the toronto maple leafs though their goaltending his sketchy. I'll say that but there. They looked exhausted. They were out-skated. They were out chanced and yet somehow. Some way connects rallied from two goals. Down to beat the leafs three two in overtime boho vat scoring in ot and other was kind of a neat comeback story as well not exactly your standard regular season win. That's pretty special. When so many guys were so sick with the With the kobe situation. Kind of a rudy story right. Even if even if it's only for one game. I don't i'm just looking at the standings They've got they're not making. Yeah got thirty seven points right so whenever i read that it was like what what what what what do you mean. What are they coming back here with. What so that that's kinda cool that they're just looking at that one game saying man. Oh man talk about you. Know on a day here stephen. The theme is overcoming adversity. Pretty cool. Because when i looked i went. Well there's no story here they're not gonna make the freaking playoffs. Got no shot therefore four games in hand on montreal the team. They're trying to catch if they were to miraculously went off for those games. Now they'd suddenly be just two points back of the montreal canadians. Get all eight of those points and you might have a discussion on i just. I just don't expect that to happen. That's all right but who knows stevie sports. His forces had miraculous stories. Yup and good for them all right. Let's take a time out of the program when we come back We got a bunch of other stuff. Max domi He is now the latest to be in john. Zarrella 's doghouse and we have We have another suspension in the nhl. Now he is that secondary scoring that you always look for in any team. And he's a buzzsaw he drives a and he's had a terrific season and He got taken out by adler with a knee on knee. Hit and Ettler is now just a moment ago. Been suspended two games for that. You've seen the video. What did you think of that. it's way up there. it's way up there. As as you know the the most undignified freaking move you could ever pull off in hockey. You know to intentionally put your knee on another guy's knee and here's why steve. It always results in huge injury right and always results. You know they have this intent to injure thing maybe it may you know. May you get away with the cross. Check right you see it can. It can look bad. But you're gonna while it was just in the heat in the heat of the moment and this isn't the first time i've done this. I think it was a world hockey championship where he just cleaned out. Eric stall in the same fashion when stalls playing for team canada and adler was with team sweden and I thought it was an even worse. One this one here. Hyman is at least making a cut moved to the middle. So he's changed his angle whereas stalwart gis. He didn't change his angle at all is right in the middle of the ice surface and An ebola just came in and he was lucky. He didn't have a serious injury but he writes. Hurt on the play and Anyway so my point is not atlas. I go around with this kind of thing. Yeah and that. he's lucky. Only got two games right. There's always that that argument that the guy the guy who puts the hit on the guy right should be out as long as the guy is who gets injured right. And i don't mind that you know i don't mind so you know other other stuff other suspenseful stuff shit happens right hitting from behind right. Sometimes it wants be innocent but the guy loses his footing and goes face first and the head snaps back. They gotta suspend that. But i don't think it's as lethal as what that guy did you know sticking your knee out onto the other guy's knee knowing that's what you're trying to do. I don't know if i don't know if it was a reaction or if he intentionally did it or not. I'm kind of torn on it. The only the only thing is the only saving thing is. It's not premeditated. Right no bozo. You're you sort of skews the pun knee jerk reaction to do it but it can result in you know. Recognize career right. Yep if i couldn't cannot address that that notion because you're not the first person i've heard talk about it. That whole thing of well he should be out. Edlow should be out for as long as hyman is out for toronto. The downside there is that you can really take advantage of that if the right circumstances came along like say the ottawa senators are taking on the toronto maple leafs maybe even in the playoffs nose and Say you've got austin matthews. Who loses his mind a little bit for a second and does something to austin watson that injures him lost watson is a fourth line player for the ottawa. Senators in a playoff series and I would suggest these sends would say all. That's a season ender austin. If that's gonna keep austin matthews out for the rest of the series under the.

"As we learned last time growing up in different regions of the. Us can make you long for the specific adaptations and versions of the dishes. That your family or your community made in the case of our next story. It can also mean. You develop a love for more conveniently packaged version of those cultural foods. I don't think i would ever get tired of talking about. That's amy will. Bobo harvey one. I'm in innuendo abo-. I am a creative technologist and i'm indonesia american and i am number one in domi fan. I live in san francisco right now. Which is really different than where i grew up which was the live nowhere mississippi in little town along the river with a population of about twenty thousand and i lived there from when i was nine years olds to when i went to college. Moving there at such a young age wasn't an easy adjustment for amy. I remember moving to the south as a nine year old and it was pretty different from where i was moving from colorado and meeting of being like this grumpy nine year old like having to have left all of my elementary school friends like move to a new environment in the middle of the school year but then having southern food for the first time and being like okay. Yeah i guess we can live here. They have fried catfish and biscuits and gravy. So it warms. My heart towards the south to indonesian foods too as far as eating indonesian foods. I grew up eating like soto. I am a soup that my mom would make me whenever i was sick or buckman agoo which is fried corners. There are a lot of overlaps. I think between southern food indonesian food like they use of peanut oil alive similar veggies. Green beans corn okra. And i think because of the amount of fried stuff just like it tasting so like hardy and comforting put of all those foods. Amy had into me was a highlight. I asked her to tell me about indo. Mian why she loved it so much. How can i describe perfection I'll i'll try so injury is an instant noodle packet. That's meant to be eaten dry. Unlike a lot of other suit based instant noodles and then the taste is post to kind of emulate. Megan rang which is like the indonesian fried noodle dish. And there's just like something so special about the taste like it's so many different flavors so when you're making indo me you drain the noodles and then it comes with like Three or four different spice packets. There's a packet of oil. That's supposed to emulate like the oil that you would fry but noodles. There's also a spice packet of chili powder than there is the packet of boo boo. Which is like the indonesian word for. Spice the bulk of the flavoring of indo me is in the boo packet and then catch up my niece which is in an asian sweet so i saw us at the very end. There's like a little packet of fried onion bids that you can put on the very top so before we moved to mississippi we had an asian grocery store that did sell into me. And so i grew up thinking of that as the only instant noodle like i didn't know that other types of instant noodles existed and i really liked them but i thought of them as kind of like normal that fault and then moving to mississippi where into music available. We had top roman for the first time. But we made it like indo. Mimi gaurang life where he made it dry and then just like all the spice packets dry top of the noodles. We were like what is this. This is so strange. We've never had this kind of instant noodle before like all the flavors are often because like to eat talk on but yeah it made me realize like wait into me isn't the default instant noodle it's like special in hard to get which made me treasurer at even

Completions minus one can either way. Okay, So Tom Brady completions. I think his his attempts prop is around 39 a half. So his completions profit somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 26. So that would mean Paul George is gonna have to have a pretty big night. Maybe somewhere around 28 29 points. In order for this to work. Another kings have the worst defense in the NBA, so that's plus number one. Plus, But the question here is Kyrie or Excuse me, Quite Leonard. Paul George. They're both out with covert concerns right now in the health and safety protocol, So when are they coming back? And when they do, come back, What's the conditioning gonna be like? And they cut the Columbus lead to three to what I'll say big, big time and what a heads up play and what a great pass by The lightening moving it around and they could score. It's just been a tremendous thing for them, too. Get that goal, you know, with 13 seconds remaining that has any time you score in that first minute or last minute of a period. It's really, really a big boost for your teammates. Polite, gets his third of the year from point who has points in all games this year. And Hedman. Don't forget about Stamkos, though he won that face off to start it, But here comes Max Domi to the lightning and a shot in the slot block. And good role. Just deliver it down the ace. Is this a nice sitting? Yes. The clock reads zero. Not sure if they're gonna add any time here for a final face off for if they see that's it. We're gonna hold it here and see if we get that final face off the light near one for one today in the power play, which helped him stop the bleeding a little bit. They had a lot of three unanswered goals. First time this year. The Lightning lot three goals. In a game. They had three goals in the first period alone, All right, they had a little bit of time here. Not much, but Gordon Domi will take this draw to the right of Vasilevskiy. One of the things right here right now, When you take that face off, you just Protect the puck. You don't have to win it or lose it. You don't want to lose because that guy is gonna try and shoot it. "Were caught a few times. You know, trying to stay on the offense when The Lightning went on those odd man rushes. The Lightning got to start making them pay for it because the biggest thing that happens when you start scoring on those odd man rushes We know that man behind the bench is going to pull them back again. Now, So then their offense is gonna be shut down. But right now they could. They could just go to the on the offense and on the engine is they say all the time not because they have that may, even plus the fact that corporate cells have been very solid for them. Oh, Me and Gordon Center Ice one by Max Domi Rance kill track it behind the Columbus net. And peel back in the left wing. Zip it out to center ice for Bjork's trend across the luncheonette. Jones right circle shot off the post The far post and went off the post and into the near corner. Blake Coleman's gonna pick this up and spend the headman of the middle of center. If you're having across the blue line, right, so go Coleman Backhand shot safe Korpisalo, and he holds on Seth Jones joining the attack there with the other and ran it off the pipe. Yeah, that shot Don't think this is what gets you. The shot comes from the top of the circle right there in and then just almost so handcuffs. Celeski hit right where the post and across parts joined together. But this is the Lightning got to do. They're They're making their passes like that Last rush. Hedman dead on right at the top of the circles. Take the shot on goal. You pass it to the wing. You got no chance You've got All four corners in the five hole where you're dead on when you pass it to the wing. You're lucky you have the far side stamp goes, wins the draw from Jenner in the offensive and turn at CenterPoint shot blocked. Tech CEO who counters Right. Wait Nicolino with lightning and a little past blocked by McDonough, who takes it away. Flip it. Forward. Stamp goes on the right way across the Columbus Line Dishes for plot.

The Road To Bankruptcy
"After closing her spot in march. Daniela stromberg went looking for help anywhere she could find it. She applied for one of the ppp loans from the government and she was approved but those loans helped businesses cover payroll and yellow. Didn't just have payroll to worry about ci also had to pay rent around twenty eight thousand dollars a month. I'm day spa. i'm utterly vulnerable. So how would i then pay the full rent. Daniela turned to the one person who could really help her solve her rent. Problem her landlord. She needed to things from him. I need an exit strategy. I wanted to be able to give him three months. No this should this not be working. I needed reduced rent based on my ability to do business so the reduced rent was tied into my reduced revenues. The negotiation with her landlord was not easy. Daniela says they went back and forth for months. Then in july danielle caught a break governor. Andrew cuomo announced that new york city would enter phase three of reopening which meant that personal care services nail salons tattoo parlors and spas could reopen. Our phones. Were ringing from the day. The city said go It was amazing. Then yellow was thrilled. She was finally able to bring back some of her staff and she got to work. On new safety. Protocols daily temperature checks goggles masks and face shields she invested in a new air filtration system and uv sanitizing lights domi- was open for business. We were the neighborhood spa and we had been there for eighteen years. We have real relationships with our clients and most of my team had been with me more than fifteen years so people were happy. We were open again. Demise was completely booked to try to accommodate as many customers as possible. Danielle and her staff started coming early staying late but the numbers just weren't adding up. Danielle could only open to of her seven treatment rooms because of social distancing and she could only offer her low dollar services guess like massages so a one hour massage cost around one hundred and fifty bucks not bad for daniele but also that wasn't anywhere close to as profitable as a facial official might bring in three hundred fifty dollars for that same. Our only problem was facials. Were still prohibited by the state. So even after reopening daniels revenues were down seventy percent from the previous year and then in september danielle received a final offer from her landlord. It was two months of half-off rent. And if she wanted an additional month at fifty percent off she would have to sign five. More years onto her lease daniele was stunned. She was dealing with so much uncertainty. She had no idea where things would be in two months. She felt like there was no way she could sign this lease. What is two months. Mean what what's the relevance of that. What did he think was happening in two months. Like that's just magic thinking like it meant nothing. This was spit. daniele was at the end her rope. She told her landlord she would be out by the end of the month and then she called each of her thirty four employees. I said i am. This is really hard. I'm very sorry. I feel a win and i didn't wanna let anybody down but i lost my fight with the landlord and we're ending services on the fifteenth daniela's spa is one of more than one hundred thousand small businesses estimated to have closed this year when a business closes. It's still on the hook for the money. It owes some business owners like daniela file for bankruptcy as a way to deal with their outstanding debts. Kate waldoch is an economist who specializes in corporate bankruptcy. She says when a business closes it sets off a chain of reactions. That ripples through the economy. I the business owner stops paying their landlord. The landlord is making any money. And chances are in since we're still in the middle of the pandemic. It's really bad right now. They probably can't lease that. Space to a new tenant probably sitting empty and so all of a sudden the landlord can't make mortgage payments so the bank and then the bank is in trouble. Says kate because it was counting on money coming in from the small business and from the landlord and when businesses in landlords that means that that's money that the bank was expecting to make that it's not making so the value of the bank goes down and the cash that it was hoping to take in and then relent to another business or another landlord or another homeowner. Can't relent that money. Kate says the result is that there's less credit to help. Businesses grow in the future. She worries all of these. Recent bankruptcies will result in a serious recession. The likes of which we haven't yet begun to see when the virus is finally under control and businesses can start reopening again get says it will take a lot of cash to jump start the economy and she's worried that the banks just will not have that cash to lend or even if they do that they'll be skittish about lending it of course the government may step in here and flood the economy with stimulus. Kate says that could help. In fact right now. Congress is debating just how much support to give small businesses in. Its next relief plan but for daniela. Stromberg it's just too late. All i needed was read relief. That's it so. I mean this never had to happen. That's it. i never had to happen.
