Wil There Be A 2020 Season For The Dolphins

"The Dolphins just had their first player opt out of the season, the wide receiver Allen Hurns decided believe he's got a baby on the way. And so there's There's reason why players decided not to play this season question is that we're gonna have a year it all well. Do you think that'll happen? Well, I believe that there will be ableto watch a game or two or five. You know, at the beginning of the season, I don't think that's the major challenge a cz we've seen with the other sports. The launch is possible and the launch is often successful. I don't know about the landing. And the reason is, obviously you know, no one can for tell what the situation is going to be around the nation in December. In January. We don't know what we don't know. So I think that it's pretty fair to say that the NFL season will we'll get off on time. The Dolphins play the New England Patriots on September 13th. And I'm pretty confident that you know that game will will happen. But if you're gonna ask me well, will they be in Buffalo? Ah for the final game of the season in January. There's no way I can tell you that. You know, it's a tough call right now. I mean, you look at the Marlins and now what happened there and lower matter where they sit around in a circle or something. What were they doing? It's just discernibly. Um, are you allowed out there our mother or the the beat reporters a lot out there or not at this Att. Michigan tries new approaches to coronavirus testing

"Michigan was one of the State's first at bat against a huge outbreak of corona virus. Michigan hit its peak in April reporting a high of more than eighteen hundred new cases on April. The third new cases remained above fifteen hundred for days that month Governor Gretchen whitmer declared a state of emergency by April first she closed all schools throughout the academic year hospitals were overrun even as workers faced layoffs and paycuts thousands. Of medical workers came down with the virus as they struggled to treat patients, and by the end of the month, the state ranked third for the highest number of coronavirus fatalities in the country Michigan struggled to bend the curve, but Michigan came through the curve bent. Now, the question is whether Michigan can stay out of the red zone and the state has seen a few smaller waves since the worst of it this spring, there was the outbreak last month that. Harper's bar the popular haunt for Michigan State University which reopened to an unexpectedly large crowd on June. The eighth local reporters found young patrons lining up less than six feet apart, and then packing the dance floor like they would on an ordinary non pandemic night. No masks to see in that picture state health officials later link that bar nearly two hundred new infections and today Michigan posted one of its higher totals of statewide new cases for the past couple of. Months and that's concerning especially because everywhere in the country right now, educators are trying to figure out how to get education going again it's basically every state and in some instances, every school district or even school for themselves at Michigan, State, in East Lansing, they're exploring a combination strategy that's going to be new to them, and that might be new for anyone else and it starts with a spit test developed at the university by neuroscience professor named Jack Lipton this man. The kit costs around three dollars a piece, and as you can see, it's pretty simple. You can do this in the privacy of your own apartment or dorm room you put your sample in the vial with the Little Barcode you seal it in the bag and Wallah your part is over the lab at Michigan State will take your sample and combine it with others in what is known as pool testing, which maybe you've heard about recently, the idea behind pulled testing is that it can help labs do more way more with weight less instead of having each person take their own. Separate test you pull the samples from a small number of people about a dozen and you run a single test on that pool of the pool turns up positive only then do you need each person in the pool to take a test but if the pool turns up negative, you're done the single test covered a dozen people in a place where you expect a lot of negatives. Pool testing is remarkably efficient at Michigan state. They're going to step further than that. Each volunteer who takes a spit test goes into separate pools of about ten or so people so think about it like. Two teams. You're Miami Dolphin and a Seattle Seahawk, or you're Houston rocket and in Minnesota Timber Wolves choose your metaphor. The point is if two pools come back with positive results, it can only mean one thing. The lab just finds the person who belongs to both pools using a handy grid like this one, and then recommends that that person get a follow up diagnostic test. It's like playing Bingo be six Bingo you might have corona virus. That's what Professor Lipton plans to do with samples from MSU volunteers testing two thousand of them every day and referring any apparent positives for an individual diagnostic test. Now, the third and most unusual part of this plan has to do with sewage scientists are discovering that they can spot a rising rotavirus cases early on by texting. Communities, Wastewater Michigan State, professor, Joan Rose and her team have been testing the campus wastewater. Since April she says, they noticed a peak in the virus that lined up with the news about an outbreak at a college hang out which demonstrated that there sewage diving expeditions worked I made that up I don't know if they're actually diving. For the testing this fall, the idea is to sample the wastewater from different places on campus so that they can get hyper local data if they can get good enough at sampling and turning around their result in a timely fashion, their work could act as an early alert system for Michigan State perhaps, even at the level of individual buildings. So you've got the pool testing with the affordable spit kits you've got expanded. Diagnostic testing. But literally just for those people who appear to be positive or just playing turn-up sick and then you've got the wastewater testing which increasingly looks like a functioning means of getting a warning in time to react if the plan works, it could help the university find and contain outbreaks. If it works the plan could help Michigan State and it's sixty seven thousand students stay on campus and have something like a semester. Joining us now is the aforementioned Dr Jack? Lipton. Of Translational Neuroscience at Michigan State University Dr Lipton. Thank you for being with us. We've heard about pool testing I want you to tell us a little more about it and why it it specifically helpful in this instance what what about Michigan State makes it a perfect candidate for the pooling of spit. What would you think about full testing end and Michigan state one of the things that you're that is really important to understand that the resources that we have is that university are fairly limited. Bright. But we're not a multinational corporation. So funds are limited resources are limited and pooling allows us to. have. More. More test being done with the same amount of resources or with less resources. So in this case, if we're dealing with supply chain issues with testing if we can test ten people with reagents that we would need to test one person, then we are were saving a lot in terms of of supplies, and if we don't have to run ten tests and we can run one test, we save a lot of time. So if you can save time and you can save supplies, you're going to Yeah. Ultimately conserve and that's really what our goal is and this. This works 'cause you're not expecting a large proportion of people to have this thing right. So generally speaking a bunch of these pools, we'll come out negative. Right. pools if you if you have about ten people in a pool in your expectation is maybe seeing two or three out of a hundred people. Show up positive than most of your pools are going to be negative. The more the prevalence increases the more the rates of infection increase. Then you're going to have more and more positive bulls. If one out of every ten people are positive than a pool of ten, most likely is going to have a positive individual in it. So you have to really balance pool size and prevalence together in order to come up with the right balance to save resources and save time. So the this actually could have broader implications There's a Wall Street Journal op-ed that you wrote about a previous test not this one that we're talking about, but it was a concept of pulling in you set across the United States tens of thousands of similar academic research labs have the expertise and equipment to help the country test for covid nineteen. If even one tenth of these labs joined the effort we could. Test an additional five, hundred thousand to one million samples a day. Your larger point here is that there are ways to get to more people and and then figure it out early rather than what we're in right now where there are some places where people are waiting in excess of seven days for typical test results in a in a concentrated environment like Michigan state you can. You can see things early and intervene. Absolutely and I think it's really important to note when you're talking about the pet that we put together. The vast amount of resources and know how that existed the academic laboratories universities across the country. Each one of the things that we've proposed was to develop biomedical National Guard and utilize all of these individual laboratories across the country and have them be organized through the federal government in order to be able to respond to pandemics or other natural disasters with biomedical know-how and that if we could get something like that done if the next administration is interested in doing something like that, we can be. Proactive instead of reactive in these kinds of situations. Wow. That's incredible because you just answer the question I was going to ask I was going to say, Hey, what can government do to take advantage of these kinds of resources and you just answer that I just want to say that again, a biomedical National Guard what a great simple idea resources all over the country run by different people but the the government of the United States providing the centralization for the data and the distribution. If you think about all of the laboratories and universities that were shut down as a result of the pandemic so many people were were sitting home like I sitting home on on zoom all day. If we have opportunity to come back into the laboratory and help. We can do so much in terms of trying to not only develop new new treatments and and working on new methods of detection, which is what our laboratory did during during April we can marshal all of these resources all. Know How that exists in order to to. Attack this problem in a concerted and coordinated way. Lifting. There's not a lot of great news about Krono virus, but I have to tell you after this conversation. I'm optimistic that there are people like you around this country who are actually in this moment while everything looks as grim as it is finding solutions that are going to help us see the other side of the coronavirus. Dr. Jack Lift Lipton is the chair and professor of translational neuro size. I don't even know what that is. We'll talk about that another time at Michigan State University. Thank you for all that you are doing and good luck to you at Michigan. State, we'll stay on top of this with you.

Blake Ferguson placed on reserve/COVID-19 list by Miami Dolphins

"Blake Ferguson, who was the brother of Bill's long snapper, read Ferguson. Blake Ferguson is with the Dolphins. He was placed on the reserve Covert 19 list. Again. The list is either for players who have either tested positive for Corona virus or they're under quarantine because they have come in contact with someone who's been infected. The league does not have to say which category Each player falls in. But it's one of those two categories. So for what it's worth, because I think they were rooming together in the offseason read Ferguson's brother, Blake is on the reserve Covert 19 list for the Miami Dolphins. Wonder if anybody open up on that list for the Bills? Yeah, which, in addition to the opt out, that's enough Her story to watch whether while we know like Brown is on the list, Ah, but because the rookies went through testing, But today, the veteran start they're testing four days of covert testing, so perhaps, hopefully won't but perhaps we might see some bills. Players end up on this list again. Either you have it yourself, or if you're around someone who's been infected and you need to be quarantined. You go on the reserve Covert 19

NFL offers players to scrap all preseason games

"The NFL. No more preseason games. Well, that didn't take long. Yesterday morning. At this time, I told you about a source who said, Hey, we're going to be Cutting in half. We're gonna have one preseason game in the NFL. And then all of a sudden, the proposal is zero preseason games. The NFL the players the coaches need. At least one preseason game might not be possible. But If you think about new coaches, you got high draft picks. You got quarterbacks trying to get acclimated with game situations. And even a new coach, Kevin Stefanski, in Cleveland, just to have that communication from upstairs down to the field in realty time. And Joe Burrow in Cincinnati job Burrows First pass could be his first pass in the NFL. And then you have players who might not be able to make the roster without preseason because they don't get a chance to really showcase their talents. You're gonna have inter squad scrimmages. But I don't know how much football we're really going to see. And by that, I mean, are you gonna have inter squad games? Could I have the Texans and Cowboys play one another? Could you have maybe proximity scrimmages? Could Tampa play against the Dolphins or Jacksonville place? I don't know what's possible. And I think the NFL is trying Tio figure out. How can we get some football here? How do we

Get to Know Cristina Mittermeier

"Welcome to good night stories rebel girls. I am Sadie from Nashville I'm eight years old and I'm interviewing Cristina. Mittermeier was the narrator of last week's episode of good night's toys for girls. If you haven't heard last week's episode now is a good time to go back and check it out. Christina, would you like to introduce yourself? My name is Christina Mittermeier I am a national geographic photographer I'm the CO founder of see legacy and like Jane Goodall I also love animals. I am the mother of three children. All of whom Love Tyson and they all love stories about Jayne good. Why did you create see legacy? I created see legacy because I wanted photography an adventure to be an invitation for everybody by publishing my phonograph on my stories on social media, everyday I tried to invite people and share what I. Love about the oceans with everybody. What makes you a rebel thorough? What makes me a rebel girl is that? I grew up in the mountains of central Mexico, but my dream was to swim with dolphins. Everybody told me that I couldn't do it. Because this was not for girls, but like chains mother, my mother champion me, and she said if you WanNa, go swim with dolphins, you have to find a way to get to university and become a marine biologist, and that's exactly what I did. When did you first become interested in photography? And can you tell us what type of photography or most interested in when I finish my studies in University to be a marine biologist I realized that our oceans were in a lot of trouble. Pollution overfishing. All of these things were threatening. The ocean and I wanted to help just like Jane wanted to help Tim Pansies. I thought that science was going to be the tool. I could use to help, but I realized that people are more. In learning from stuff that they understand they can see. Photography became the tool that allow me to communicate with many more people about not just help beautiful the oceanus for all the things we can do to help. When I started my career, photographer I wanted to be a nature photographer. Kasai love animals. I soon realized that I really had a lot more talent to tell stories about people, so my photography became a combination of my love of nature and my interest in people, and then a become an underwater photographer so today I use my camera to tell stories about animals in the ocean and the relationship that humans have with the largest ecosystem on our planet our ocean. Photography allowed people all over the world to see the amazing work. Jane was doing with chimpanzees. What's your favorite thing about photography? My favorite thing about photography is that it's a universal language. It is something that we all understand today. We all have cameras in our telephones, and that makes us all photographers is something. We all know how to do really well and so much like photography National Geographic Allow Jane Goodall to share his stories with a very large audience, so to has my camera on my work with National Geographic, allow me to share the story of our oceans and the importance of protecting the largest. On our planet, our ocean. What is it venture? Mean to you? A venture for me is having the courage to step through the of things that I. Don't know yet sometimes that means getting in the water with a whale, or the shark sometimes means getting on stage with the large number of people and speaking in public. The most important thing about my work is that I wanted to be an. An invitation to adventure for everybody the natural world is there for all of us to enjoy and I. Want my work to be an invitation to you. How do you stay positive in the world? That doesn't always care for the environment. The reason I stay positive in a world that doesn't always care for the environment is that I am the mother of three kids their own much older now, but. I want for them to have the kind of planning that I have come to love and enjoy I want them to be able to go out into nature and spend time with wild animals, and to know that they have a future in a living planet, so I have no choice but stay positive. What's one thing? Young rebel girls can do to protect the oceans are oceans are the largest ecosystem on our planet, and we know so little about how they work. So what we need is more girls to go into. The scientists become marine biologist become underwater photographer filmmakers so that together we can tell the story of how beautiful and important our oceans are thanks Christina.

Dr. Randall Wells Shares his Porpoise

"Really nice to meet you over the phone. Dr Wells, thank you for coming on the show, my pleasure, so you and a colleague launched what would become the longest running Dawson research program in the world want said in nineteen seventy. Can you tell me a little bit about the earlier days of your project in the original question that you are trying to answer? Fewer back in nineteen seventy. There was interest in having dolphins work with divers. And there were undersea habitats were being operated by the US Navy and the. We're using dolphins to carry tools messages back and forth. They wanted to extend that to try to understand if dolphins could be used to protect divers from sharks, and so the office of Navel, research funded a project at Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota Florida to look at the behavioral interactions of Sharks Dolphins. A felony Blair. Came from California to head up that project and He was able to bring me on board. As a research assistant while I was in highschool there. He had a strong interest in what went on with wild dolphins as well and so in our spare time away from the project, looking at the Shark Dolphin behaviors. We went out and put tags on dolphins in local Sarasota Bay waters learn something about their movement patterns. Up to that time, no one had ever done a systematic study of the movements of dolphins in coastal waters. We had no idea whether the dolphins that were seen. One day would be their week later a month later or whether they would rage freely around the Gulf of Mexico. So this was a just a pilot study to try to get a hint of what the animals might be doing. We certainly have no idea at the beginning that were setting out on something that would become a career at least for me. Right I, mean truly. It's become your life's work. And so when you started, no one knew that dolphins resided in one place for generations generations. Is that true? That's true and one of the things that has made everything else. We've done since that time. Possible is the discovery that the dolphins at least in parts of the coastline. Have long term residency. these animals are here as you indicated there your generation of generation decade after decade and that. Knowledge that we can go out and find identifiable individuals with known backgrounds on a predictable basis, established the basis for a lot of other research. This gone on since that time. Yeah I mean that's incredible I didn't realize that dolphins lived into their sixties in the wilds. So I guess in that sense. Maybe there's dolphins that you started tagging in the seventies that you're still seeing around trade. There are still a few individuals that are here from when we were first working with in the seventies, and the now we have their cabs in their grand cavs, and their great grand cavs and their great great breakouts, we can have as many as six concurrent party five concurrent generations. At in the area and we have documented six generations overall. Law? That seems really unique in the animal kingdom, and in the world of conservation science to. Be Able to have that can allot in jeopardy, right? It just becomes more fascinating time goes on, and we come to appreciate what these animals have to go through delivery, coastal waters of the US in places where there are a lot of human activities, we have the opportunity to follow these animals throughout their lives. We work with them from the time. They're doing observations and monitoring their health and environmental contaminant loads, and then we work closely with Mote Marine Laboratory that operates a stranding investigations program, and they recover carcasses dolphins from each try to learn what brings about their demise. So between the the two operations with book in the lives of these animals, and and try to understand especially what impacts their lives from a human perspective.

"Dea think that Cam Newton on the New England patriots when everybody for the last few months or so have simultaneously thrown dirt on the Patriots and elevated the Buffalo Bills. Do you think the. You have to bet right now. Bad Online. We'll hear about them in just a second go on Ben Online. Who Are you picking in the AFC right now? Well. Let's really break down the Patriots you know we're talking about. What's going to happen now that Brady's gone? How many! Hall of Famer Potential Hall of Famer and Hall of famers and Pro Bowlers. Have left the Patriots in the last two decades. Many men meant. Yes, that's all they do. All they do is turn over personnel or for the Sidebar to that is guys. Get thrown money by other by the other thirty one teams. I'll go hill. Replicate what he did in new, England is like no, no, there's some weird Voodoo that goes on up in Foxborough. That does not translate down the Tennessee or Texas or wherever else you're talking about right, so we're not talk. You know we're not talking about. What are the dolphins going to do without Dan Marino. Because they've changed show so much personnel on the offensive and defensive side of the ball over the last twenty years that if there's any team that is poised to turn over one guy now, he's the quarterback. Obviously, that's a super important job, but if anyone has proven that, they can swap one guy out for another guy, it's the Patriots. Of Foreign. Any other organization. And proof of that for any of the cynics out there, they're ignoring I know. It was a limited sample size, but Jimmy G. One every game he ever played Jacoby perset was was good as well when he had the takeover for Brady. Yeah, it's a and you know for what it's worth. Three BLEDSOE came in way back when at the start of the Millennium and beat the steelers in in Heinz field when Brady got hurt, so there's plenty of track record that you're going to be able to plug qb in there and succeed. It is interesting though that given the way Brady plays versus the way that same position and everything else. Else but wildly different way, but people say well how how CAM GONNA fit into that New England system. Have you watched the Patriots play? They don't do the same thing weekend week out. They always change it. They're obviously GONNA change what they do to accommodate number one now.

"Your, First Film Science Fair at Sundance Wins Big award. The audience loves it. What did you learn from that first foray into directing? It's a lot more fun than investigative journalism I would say No, but I think I learned kind of the power of a hopeful story. I think hope and love. Are you know in short supply right now? And these kinds of stories can really change the way people think of the world and think of themselves, and so Walter came out of that in a way. I was looking for another story. That was also from my childhood. You know I started thinking what other worlds do I know really well. Not Everybody knows what other worlds made me feel warm and fuzzy as a kid and I think Walter Metadata was part of that. World for me, I grew up watching him every day as a kid with my grandmother and you know, he reminds me of my grandmother in many ways. He's the same age as my grandma there they have the same Hairdo, and so I started to wonder whatever happened to him, and you know in many ways he was he is. He was one hundred years ahead of his time. The first person I've ever seen that was gender queer. What we'd call now. It's just inspirational looking back. It's like. Could you were doing that at that time? You know nineteen forty in Puerto, Rico. You were being Walter McCullough. It's it's. Really. Inspirational so that's when I set out to find him. You set out to find out. What does that mean? So I started asking around univision and fusion and. Nano actually told me not Avila told me that there's a producer new. Who's also obsessed with Walter? Who you should talk to about this? Maybe he knows something so I called Alex, and he's like this is the weirdest thing I have. Another director who I'm supposed to talk to in ten minutes about doing a documentary about Alternate Telo, and I was like who is this person and his name is creamy taps, and he directed a film called. Dolphin, lover, which was a big fan of it's about a man who falls in love with Dolphin in the Florida like seaworld. And I had loved that film and I was like Oh amazing. I can't I mean I would love to talk to him. And we decided basically a ten minutes later on a phone call that we would all do the project together and yeah. It's been incredible experience Kareem track down. The niece of Walter through an estate sale, and then set up a phone call with Walter and it was. Yeah it was after the suit was. It was really insane to talk to. Walter Mark on the phone for the first time, and he said yes. Well that unprecedented access is notable because he is an has always been intensely private. So, how did you three persuade him to allow you to make the film? We rehearsed for that first conversation for hours and hours. What are the possible questions you could ask us? How would we answer it? You know what is what? What's the best angle on all of his questions? And we got on the phone, and he said Okay I. Have One question for you and we were like Mrs it. It's GonNa be really hard, and he's like. What are your astrological signs and so he went around. And like I'm a libra careens libra and Alex's deteriorates, and he said okay. That's great sounds good. I would love to do this film with you, so he was. He was in like in in from day one. He was psyched, but his idea of a documentary realized very quickly was very different from our idea he wanted. He was in front of a lens for fifty years. He was the most cameras trained person you can imagine. It's truly insane, and he has fifty years of rehearsed answers. He knows what he's going to say. To every question, you could ask him, and so it was really a process of spending a lot of time with him. At first, he thought this was going to. Just you know he was going. Going to be in full makeup and just telling the stories he always tells and I think it took a lot of time to explain to him that this might be different that this is you know we wanna see who you actually are without your makeup. What you do in your normal life and talking about bad stuff, particularly offensive to him. He did not want to talk about anything bad. You and that is the story of his life. You know he a lot goes wrong. He loses everything and even to get him to talk about. That was very difficult, so that was a big stumbling block for us in the first. Fearlessness As Health | Guided Meditation

"Step into exceptional health today on the House Meditations Podcast, but Dr Albert Silvio a medical anthropologist and Shaman Healer. Dr Field Teachers is how to strengthen our immune system with specific breathing, pattern and meditation. Fear keeps US locked into an old brain. And this is the brain of fighter flight so as fight, flight or freeze. And, so many of us are frozen in place today. When we become frozen, we get paralyzed and our immune system is frozen. We cannot. Practice exceptional health now. Everybody's waiting for the vaccine for the great breakthrough. We're discovering that one of the things that happens with the covid nineteen is that their blood clots that happened in the body, and it causes problems in the heart and other organs in the body so blood thinners are really important. We'll that's waiting for the magical medical bullet to come and solve our problems. and. That's not going to happen. You know we have to use strategies that we know work which is. Practising exceptional health creating health becoming resilient, being sure you have the nutrients that you need, so you have exceptional and optimal repair and healing in your body. So we need to take this opportunity today to step into extraordinary health, don't stay at home waiting for the mayor of medical miracle. Ditch your body strong. Get healthy show. You Sleep, well. Be Sure you practice meditation to reset your fight or flight. Be sure that you're getting the nutrients you need for me. It created exceptional health a day to day practice, and it begins with sleep making sure you're sleeping well, getting good sleep and rest. And second you want to reset your fight or flight system. because. This is an ancient fear programming brand. And it keeps US frozen and I'd like to share an exercise that we can use to do that that it that uses the. Breathing his on Onomic Sonata onomic function for for humans for the human animal, but not for every animal, so we cannot stop breathing, but dolphins cam dolphins don't have breathing programmed Sonata onomic function in their brain, so they have to take a breath. And then we had to take another breasts and decide to do that so if they're not happy. In the amusement park, dolphins have been known to go to the deep end of the pool. Settle at the bottom and decide to stop breathing the but the breath isten interface between our voluntary and involuntary responses are nervous system. So, we can reset fighter flight with the sale. On the NFL, we actually Glock in fighter flight when we get scared go. So it's the exhale. There were able to come back to our Auburn A-M-A-C nervous system and appear sympathetic and our relaxation response. So folks stay with me as we do this name hailing two out of three. So, we need to reset that old brain. Remember that there's no difference between being killed. By a bacteria or virus? And being killed by Jaguar. For us in the West being killed by a parasite or viruses is illness. And getting being killed by Jaguars and accident. But for the Shaman, the wizards of old, which is what I have trained in. There the same. You need to be a right relationship with all of life.

How to Meditate with Your Higher Brain

"Do. You ever wonder why when you sit down to meditate. It just doesn't seem to happen. Waves of worrying thoughts moved through our head, our anxiety and stress just doesn't seem to settle down after five minutes ten minutes or even minutes. Even, though we're sitting very still, and were watching our breath or trying to let thoughts go. Our mind just doesn't seem to let us meditate. There seems to be a battle in our head. We want to meditate, but we can't call the mind. Why is this? While I've heard many teachings from very learned meditation Masters throughout the years. What are the most cogent explanations came recently when I sat down with Dr. Albert Oviedo, the medical anthropologist and author of bestselling books including Shaman Healer Sage. We record the podcast at his mountain retreat center in Chile. On the PODCAST, Dr Viola explains how our brain health is crucial to our meditation, practice and spiritual development. You have a broken brain. You can't meditate, he explains. If your brain is producing stress molecules such as cortisol and adrenaline. It is going to be impossible to meditate. We have to have the physical substrate. We can't just will ourselves to meditate. So? How do we create this physical substrate to meditate? It has to do with what we eat. That's right what we eat. And importantly what we don't put in our stomachs impacts directly our ability to calm the mind to look inward, and to gain all the benefits. We know there is to receive from meditation. On the PODCAST. Dr Field explains what parts of the brains are active when we're stressed when our flight or fight modes are active, which are found in the Reptilian and Mammalian parts of the brain. But in order to meditate, he explains. We need to take up residence in the higher brain, the NEO CORTEX and prefrontal lobes where the bliss molecules are produced where we experienced the divine and transcendence. It is very clear on the podcast that what we eat directly impacts where our brain is firing. Hint here. It has something to do with Akito Diet. Dr Field or reveals to us the optimal nutrition for meditators and what we might want to avoid if we want to take our meditation practice to the next level. I hope you enjoy this fascinating interview and be on the lookout for the next episode where Albert Dough and Linda finch guide us in a morning breathing meditation to strengthen our luminous energy field, but for now sit back and enjoy my conversation with Dr Albert Veto. So welcome Alberto to the hey house meditation podcast. Thank you Matteo good to be with you I'm. Very interested to talk to you about our meditation practice and how our brain health. Relates to that meditation practice. A lot of us have a lot of challenges with. Meditation and I was fascinating in reading your work and listen to your lectures recently about how our brain health can support that meditation practice. So can you talk a little bit about that? Absolutely you if you have a broken brain? You cannot meditate. If your brain is producing only distress molecules which are Adrenalin Cortisol it's impossible to meditate. You can get angry or you're GONNA WANNA. Check your emails. So in order to be able to meditate, we need to access the higher brain, which is the brain that produces the bliss molecules because you need. The chemical substrate is not just a mental thing, not just a mind. We can't just will ourself into meditation. Will it many of us try just? To. Push through. That's kind of we call that. Be masochistic. Him So you mentioned the higher brain. What is that? Could you explain to our listeners exactly what that means? He's sort of four parts of the brain. We have four distinctly different brands Heinemann anatomically different brains that evolved during different periods in history. I rip dillion brain, which is in charge housekeeping, and we share that with all the reptiles snakes, the alligators, not particularly lovable, but that this brain no love. Knows body temperature, heart, rate, housekeeping autonomic functions. All the audit keeps his breathing for example. When we think about it, you know for example, dolphins don't have breathing programmed into their pillion brand, so they're part of an experiment where you had to breathe consciously. That's why only half their brains sleeps in any one time. But in top of the Brazilian brainers, the Mammalian brand that we share with all the mammals. And this is the brain of the emotions. And this is a brain that fuels itself with sugar. Run some sugar. So as long as you eating a lot of sugar, you're. You're going to be stuck in this brain fear. Of Feeding of not having enough of scarcity of fighting of needing to make yourself or someone else wrong and a predatory sexuality. So. Strong desire is is is in this mammalian brain. This is the brain that really long for intimacy, but cannot get. This matter how close you get, you cannot open yourself up to another person because you're going to be terrified of what they might

"In real life, Nar walls don't speak English. Like the one bidding farewell to will Ferrell's character in the movie. Elf instead they sound more like this. That's an audio clip recorded by scientists last summer under the icy waters of northwest, Greenland. We want to describe what animals are doing. We I better understand what sounds are telling us. That's the sound of a Narwhal looking for food, using echo-location like a dolphin or a bat. and. Rising to the Challenge of Working From Home without Childcare with Susannah Quinsee

"Around mid-march, as all, the the pandemic is, is taking over in the UK was probably about a week behind the US where they the panic points. Ten so. Describe how you learned that everything was going to go online and sort of what that realization was like, both in terms of your work than massively scaling up at the same time that your child care was hearing. Yeah, so I tended to not work weekends where I could avoid it in before as I cooled it before life. I remember I think it was on the Saturday morning for some reason I picked up my fire, and it was just like. My email was just rammed with messages, saying that we were gonNA move everything online. By the twenty thousand mark will preferably Leah and that's what my team does like we support. The staff in the university to use online missiles says to defend that teaching, and so it was a moment of kind of okay, so we're doing this in how? So, yeah, that will weekend. Who tried to work? Our approach was really meant because it's one thing to say, we're moving online. But what does that really being? Then? Students had been told that we were. We were trying to work through. There was just no and I just remember that whole weekend was spent just trying to ride emails in between Juggling Children and family life, and my partner works at the same university and he's an it, so he was. Getting slammed at the same time and. We finally just went out for Wolf on the Sunday afternoon, and it felt so good to just kind of get what hadn't realized how stressed I was until we actually left the house, so yeah, that's how I found out about to Winton. older next week was just rammed at that stage. We still had childcare. But then we weren't sure when knockdowns that she going to start, there was quite a lot of uncertainty. He would be allowed to work and who wouldn't say, that was so of just evolving what was happening with schools, either at that point site that was that was kind of very up in the that happened very quickly as well, not my oldest daughter school. Just she went in in the morning, came home off new. We shot. Just kind of a lot of places places happened. Well, hopefully you are able to help your professors and students transition with a bit more A. Yes. How did you do that? Like what? What sort of support did you provide for for teachers like wait? I've never taught online before. Yes, it might seem Woah, absolutely amazing, just stepping up, and so I can head of educational technology instantly over that weekend produced a kind of Wiki page then we just all the material content on, and we start to die. That's quickly as possible and get that message out that. So as soon as we had that link, we will send around Dolphin University say okay. This is the information you need is is here. And funny enough like that morning. I'd just been kind of before. This will happen in thinking are really think we need to. Plan of things, how are we going to manage? This is a director until I see my team, saying these are the five areas that we need to focus on like that morning, and then by the often. Okay those changed little bit. Differently so yeah, that's what we did we. We went into so I. The deputy president at the Investi that we had various structures to like manage how you change policy because its policies and kind of contractual things you have to do with students that we kind of feed into committees around that what can with colleagues across invest t to support staff in particular Cessna? That was the big thing. We about to move into the exam period. That's why the investors had exams from Sawing April may so that was a big transition point to move Every of invested in kind of weld was doing it at the same time between different institutions. And so, what did you come up with I'm very curious what what is best practice for online assessment then? Yeah, sure so in the initial period. It was kind of what we call it. The emergency response so we had four five principles see if I can remember the words said one one was was around. Try and do as much as you can a think critically. Too, seriously, so in real time basically because I had no idea where our students were. Could be anywhere in the world. We have lot of international students, so said as much as you can to up, they can. Adapt flexibly. That was that was one thing. The other one was around. This is not perfect online learning. This is about best efforts to try and get as much as you out there and really communicate with your students. Should be very basic, so you shouldn't assume that anyone has anything moved a mobile phone and. Data collect point on a mobile because again all of us giants had carrying respond species living with parents who suddenly have other siblings at home so. That was one of them was. Stephen Fry on Reimagining the Greek Myths

"You've written memoirs. You've written novels. What made you sit down and think what I really need to do is is rewrite Turi version of the Greek myths. It was amendment two to. Having dinner with some friends and I can't remember how this subject came up, but Someone was talking about you know. It wasn't an over pretentious dinner party discussion, but it was about the way. Different Cultures explained how the world came to be. We were saying is is Genesis a terrible myth? Is it all about guilt and shame and other better ones, and so started to talk about you know the Greek origin myths, and then went back to to the you know out of chaos, and or an Austin guy on I'm started staring at me and said go on. I said well. You know and then I. Get the next generation was talking. Know about Kronos and and then the birth of Zeus. New Game Wow. How'd you oldest I supervised? Creek myths and a lot of them were very far more diligent to nine and probably better read, but they just they knew the names. Everyone knows the names use in Paulo, and and and so on, but they hadn't joined the dots. And, it's a miraculous thing about Greek mythology that there is a timeline in chronology knits probably be reverse engineered by. He's been homer and later poets obviously, but nonetheless it has a shape a beginning in the end, which other mythic structures don't seem to have and the so deepen. To use such a Cliche, but I can't avoid in the DNA of our own culture and art that it's kind of part of who we are so. They encouraged me really and a lot of people said you got. You could retell those stories, and at first I thought I'd do a stage show, and then I started writing it and realize what pleasure it was to to research. Go back to some of the sources the time remember burn and find out and fill in the gaps in my knowledge that I started writing. Did that Mobile Library play a part in your early reading of the Greek myth says well, yes, it did and firmly enough it was American, mythologised, who were the biggest infants so me when I was young apart from Robert Graves who was hugely influential. Who wrote a magnificent two volume edition of agreements, but when I was younger and too young, for Robert Graves, it was Hamilton and Bernadette, Flynn and bull finch copy of Dolphins, which is American I think. Isn't it the both with? And Anthony Hoffman whom I remember well reading those when I was very young, had big illustrated version of Nathaniel. Hawthorne's Tanglewood Tales and these were all wonderful retailing children, and there was a pretty sure Roger Lance Lynn Green. Bread was a boy and at school, because I loved classics at school from a very early age, we were taught latching from age of seven of. School and and I did. It only because I think it did so badly it everything else. That I was put onto ancient Greek quite young, too. I was eight or nine when I started engine. Great which I love. And so the stories, of course, the things you use for translations and So I grew up with a with a lot of them.

"dolphins" Discussed on The Phinsider

"It's crazy and you know how important position is in the see. Some of these veterans. You know the biggest being Tom Brady. I mean he feels like he was never going to leave New England. And I still don't believe that it's real. It's going to be real weird seeing him a guy that we've hated for so many years you know now in Tampa Bay where he can kinda root form a little bit. You know. You don't have to hate Tom Brady more. Because he left the evil empire and he's going to his own thing you know. We can sit here and list off the quarterbacks that change places Philip rivers in India. I mean he's another guy thought he was gonna be the chargers his entire career. Nick foles in Chicago. That's the place where he could probably beat out. Mitchell trubisky fees the same. Nick foles that WANNA civil in Philly Teddy to the panthers. That's still kind of something that just Kinda came out of nowhere. My opinion I know we don't touch these guys yourself and kind of give your own little pin here. Jameis Winston Cam Newton Cam Newton thing. I mean once they sign Teddy. That kind of seemed like it was inevitable. But I'm kind of surprised at Trade VALUE STILL SURPRISED. Jameis WINSTON OUT THERE. Because you know he he did pretty good Okay didn't do last year. What thirty touchdowns and thirty interceptions we know that he added. I think it was a messed up a hand. It messed up wrist injury and then he had you know the problems. Everyone make jokes. He went and got his got lasik and fixed his eyesight. So he's still a young player in that same with Cam. Newton people act like the students fifty years old. He's turning thirty one he was an MVP and the League at one point. So I'm a little scared. Because there's a huge need free quarterback you know up in New England which one of these guys is. Bill Belichick have his eye on because he has shown in the past that he can win the division Matt Castle. I mean I'd be a little worried. Yeah and so it's it's very It's weird because I think the genus situation people are trying to be too smart and I think If this was any other year I don't think this would have happened. But with all the quarterbacks available I mean this dude led the League in yards. The State had thirty touchdowns and NS the thirty interceptions. But this is a guy. You can't really give up on if when you see guys like Nick foles going to Chicago. How do you not sign someone like Jameis Winston instead and then you know? The Camden thing is another very very weird one too but these are two guys. I think that really should have jobs. I think without desperate teams are for quarterbacks. You're telling me that. When the Dolphins signed Jay Cutler in two thousand seventeen? And you're damn why. If you agree with us you would've signed Jay Cutler over Jameis Winston right now I mean. That's just mind boggling. How how much one year can you know? Completely change a market with just the availability and the opportunity. That that's put out there. I mean I just don't think it's fair that this guy doesn't have a job. I mean he's going to get one. I mean it's it's impossible but I mean I understand having to fight for your job. I understand having to embrace a you know a competition role. That's perfectly fine. I feel like every team to do that. Every YEAR. but the fact. This guy doesn't have a job is kind of crazy to me. I think that you look at two teams who are are really open for business in terms of a quarterback are the chargers dolphins That that really aren't settled. And you think these two teams are going to be in for quarterbacks. I leave out sensitive because you kind of think Joe. Borough is already happening there but even then we we've heard whispers about then not being the case haven't we we have and that's kind of been the big thing that's kind of picked up steam lately but just to go back real quick to James Winston Cam Newton tied into the Miami Dolphins. I mean we all love it Ryan Fitzpatrick. Did you know this is going to be one of those? How hot takes people are just going to kill me in the comments? But we know Ryan Fitzpatrick thirty seven years old. We know in the past. He's had these great New Contract you know. Everyone loved them. Franchises loved him. Invested money resources in any reverted back to you. Know Fitch- tragic. You can't tell me that you bring in Jameis Winston. I believe he's twenty six years old at one point he was supposed to be the frame of the NFL. You know when he came out like he was a sure thing they thought. And you know whatever reason is he just didn't quite work out Cam Newton again another guy thirty one years old completely changed the game of football. You cannot tell me and again. I don't know where it fit in here. I think the dolphins are more than happy to let me repeat. The dolphins are more than happy with Ron. It's Patrick you know what he did last year when five games the way you put these young players on his back I mean. They're more than happy with him. But you can't tell me you're bringing a Jameis Winston her Cam Newton for competition. They probably can't beat out Ryan Fitzpatrick if it was an open quarterback competition and then you know. Maybe the dolphins do something else air quarterback but. I don't know how you feel about that. I just had to throw that out there. Because we all live Ryan Fitzpatrick. We know he's going to be the quarterback in two thousand twenty. But you can't tell me that. The Dolphins Franchise Brand Jameis Winston. A young hungry player that can still be an NFL star. Or Cam Newton. Who's now hunger than ever? Who's probably going to go to a team and continued success that he had before these injuries. You can't tell me that. The dolphins won't be better off at quarterback if they brought one of those guys. I completely agree. I completely think that that would be a great great opportunity. I think if a Brian Floors led team is isn't good enough to pull out a Jameis Winston and make a sustainable quarterback then I think that's you know who are done raccoon Chelsea more but for all the brakes ten hill and his time in Miami and I still think that it's it's crazy. I think the Patriots are team who still open but I mean they only have two million dollars in cap space right now. Yes they could make some cuts but I mean I was just going through this yesterday. I mean they are strapped for cash. I saw signed Brian. Hoyer for million dollars unless they dress someone. I think that's going to pretty much do it for them in in terms of quarterback so you think about the chargers and the dolphins and then Washington who was scheduled to pick number two. There were a couple of people thinking they were Again I like using the term galaxy brands. I think they had everything. All figured out say well Washington's going to do at Washington's going to sign him they trade for Kyle in to go with Wayne Haskins and you could argue that you kind of Alan isn't the future but when you're already giving up capital for a backup you aren't going to trade two picks in the same draft for a quarterback. I just don't see that happening And then I had some interesting notes about how the giants and Dave Gettleman This comes from Peter. King of NBC. Sports excuse me He has never ever ever in Carolina in Newark traded down a gym was made forty five picks and never traded down. Can you wrap your head around the family every time it's like you're playing madden numerous grabbing? You know the sky's the best player available. Let's go to you. It's kind of crazy Peter King was come to mind blown about it. He said it was borderline negligent which is hard words. Gm John Snyder. The seahawks use last year's twenty first overall pick and traded down six times to accumulate picks. So you see what Washington's doing you see New York what they're doing all of a sudden you know is trading up with the team like the lions really necessary in order to get someone like two of when you hear about this and it's Linda Dolphins and chargers fighting for someone like to. I'm not sure and that's kind of what it's all. GonNa come down to know. It's a game of poker and you need to see how those chips fall in the draft and you know which team is going to get enough to trade up and we mentioned it in a podcast earlier you know. Whatever team decides the trade up if they try to trade up ahead of Miami that team that they're trading with is going to call it off and see if they can match it so no matter? What happens if the dolphins too at home but I think they can get him. You know of course Washington for some reason tricks everyone and takes him but at the end of the day. I mean it comes down to you. Know how the dolphins view these quarterbacks you know. Do they have Justin Herbert? And to atone below neck and neck. You know. Is it going to be at five? And let whichever one of them fall right into their lap. Because they've done the work on herber and I know people don't like Herbert. Some people love him. They've done the work on him. So how are they viewing this? Are they going to trade up for guy who is coming off that hip injury regardless of what those twenty eight seconds showed? Are THEY GONNA to put their faith in his in his You know doctors and and make that move for stay. Pat and take whichever quarterback falls into their lab. I it's it's tough to say. This is kind of why? I'm glad I'm not Chris. Greer in the rest of the Dolphins Front office because it's a tough decision making. I do think they're going to call up to try to inquire about Joe Bureau. They're going to see if they can somehow pry him away from Cincinnati. But I don't think there's any way in heck you know that the Cincinnati bengals pass Joe Burrow because he's a surefire thing and I think that's GonNa come down to again. How their draft was laid out how they view these guys and if they're neck and neck. I would not be surprised at all. Stay Pat and let Trevor Fall in their lap. But for me. I think it's Joe Bureau and I think it's to Joe Borough that's a whole `nother tier than you know the Herbertson love but it all comes down. The dolphins view things and speaking of that job bruce been like in a couple of tweets lately. Hasni He. Hasn't it Kinda picked up steam in someone you know..

"Only reason you're hearing my voice here is because who I am with. Were too scared to start the show today with you. So I'm joined by the one and only Josh House and the only other person in the world who is drinking starbucks ten o'clock at night and that his Matthew Kanada how we doing foes crazy crazy. Crazy Day yeah. I need a cigarette. I don't think anybody expected where we went through. That was that was like the old dolphins but so much like so much different. If if that makes any sense I wanNA talk about that. That's that's that's the key here because we can't not say what has happened today the Byron Jones signing the Kyle Vin or sending the Shack Lawson and Eric. We're GONNA get into all of them but we think we start there. We need to talk about. This is the same old dolphins. You can sit here. We're going to spin zone and we're GONNA put it in perspective. That gets US hyped up and gets US season but what the dolphins just did is this quote unquote. Same Old Dolphins move. I completely agree and I mean it's it's hard not to just think back to those teams you know when they overpaid for. Donell l'herbe and Philip Wheeler and Mike Wallace and we just talked about this. The last podcast about just how dreadful that offseason ones. But they have the money you we keep forgetting that. Have those fourteen draft picks to to go and do whatever they want to bring this influx of youth. And I much is. It is the same old dolphins. I mean you have to be excited about some of these signings if they keep saving how we're GONNA get in each one of them. But I mean Byron Jones. That was he was probably the best available free agent on the market and. I don't think that anybody really saw him. As a as a targeted the Miami Dolphins you know as they got closer to to him getting a new deal and they just came out of nowhere and then it just came keep kept coming after that you know earlier in the day they had the shack loss and signing people or whatever on that You know it was just same old dolphins Eric Flowers and then boom Byron Jones Boom Calvin and they still so much money to work with so I'm excited it. It's hard not to be excited but again. It's the same old dolphins all season champs again. For what how? Many years every year they win that season championship. Hang the banner. They did it again. It was a crazy crazy day. And you know with all this corona virus outbreak and everything else. I'm working from my fulltime job now and probably for the next few weeks so of course I had. Nfl Network on in the background but it was hard to focus totally on free agency. So I was trying to get some work done and I had the background noise on and I took a few breaks here and there just to catch up on things and throughout the day You know I was looking at reports and twenty Paulino pro. Football Network had reported that in regards to Byron Joe and he's been reporting this for several weeks at the bidding between the eagles in the giants would end up resulting in one of them landing Byron Jones. And then today he said all of a sudden the raiders were involved and it was actually between the raiders and the Eagles to Land Jones. And then how to absolutely nowhere right around? I think maybe six o'clock or so maybe a little before six o'clock or whatever it was we get a tweet. This is Byron Jones assignment to my office. I mean that came literally out of nowhere and no one expected it and ended up report just moments ago on NFL network. Total access confirmed this. He said the dolphins came out of nowhere to scoop up Jones and at the end of the day the giants were also involved as pauline had reported but also the dolphins were competing with the raiders. And no I don't think you know either. State has income tax now that the raiders are in Nevada but at the end of the day the dolphins went out and probably a lot was because of the structure of the contract with putting more money front with Byron Jones. But also I think just a testament to how the dolphins have counted to build this organization in this team. And you look at the five wins. Lacerra look okay. You didn't get that first pick but you also look at it. Seemed like the bengals right and guys are leading there and no one's really going there and who knows what they're doing and guys are excited to come to Miami. Now Kyle van Noy Shack Lawson Eric. Flowers Byron Jones of course and it's just exciting to see right and part of me thinks because dolphins were not supposed to be involved in Byron Jones sweepstakes because the price is going to get so high and he saw in his contract they were going to be in on Joe Th Mooney. I think they did inquire about Jack Conklin and they Also Glasgow who signed with the broncos. I believed from Detroit so I think they may have taken some of that money or all that money and say we're GonNa go after Byron Jones. We're going to build a defense and we're going to really focus on shutting down opponents and then work away with the offense to the draft but it begs a bigger question. What are they going to do with Xavien? Howard that's what I'm wondering about right now before we get into that though To to preface free agency they did cut Daniel Kilgore who there was they. They had no money left over for that. They cut Reshad Jones. And I think there's an argument to be made at where the dolphins are you think of. They made four moves and they still have roughly forty-six million dollars in cap space to spend You have to have the conversation especially about something like Kilgore who might not be an every down Senator even offensive lineman but it was kind of like the Kiko Alonzo issue last year. Dolphin fans wanted them to just cut him right but the com- reaches a point. You're starting to lose your depth and you're not gonNA spend all this money so that becomes an issue of the the two sides of the coin. Yes Vince Biegel came in and played well. But I don't think anybody especially the dolphins when they made that deal they really had the mindset of keeping that but this is more about the guys they signed today. So Josh let me ask you this based on what. We just kind of spoke about a moment ago. We want to say that you know. The dolphins turned the corner the making all the right moves. So how are they doing? How is this year you know? Forget the Adam Gates spending frenzy. Forget the Joe. Philbin spending from these. Why did the dolphins do it right? This time to me it starts you know with those first two moves that were made and we know they needed an offensive guard. I know not mention. They were very interested in Joe. Thune obviously could make that happen but then immediately turned their attention to it young player. I believe he's twenty five. We'll be twenty six. When the season Starts Eric Flowers at his best season last year at offensive guard he was dreadful offensive. Tackle shifted inside played very well with Washington. A reported deal around eight. Nine dollars is what they were offering him. The DOLPHINS GAME THREE YEAR THIRTY MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT TO STARTING OFFENSIVE GUARD. So you upgrade the offensive line position than they shifted over to the defensive Lineman a guy that I loved in the draft process Shack Lawson and no. He doesn't put up those huge numbers but this guy is very similar to that they were interested in last year and Trey flowers. I'm not GonNa say is as good as trey flowers but in the right system which I do believe he's in now. He can be very versatile defensive player that will flourish and Brian floors defense. His contracts three years thirty six million dollars if he hits all of his Elevators are each each of his incentives. So all right. They're leaders. Hit all the escalators. All the elevators all the treadmills hit him on Turney. Six six million so I mean those are two guys that are going to start in my opinion and they're low risk reward signing so you get that out of the way and then you turn your attention to Byron Jones and you know. Everyone says the dolphins need a pass. Rusher do they now you know. I don't know what they're going to do with the Avian. Howard should they need to get a young stud pass rusher in there but you've two of the best corners if not the best hand in the NFL right now if exerting Howard sticks around if he's healthy Empire Jones I mean Byron. Jones has been locked down over the last few years. I believe he hasn't allowed touchdown in two seasons. If I'm not mistaken I mean this guy is a shutdown defensive back into put opposite of exhibiting Howard was already the highest paid defensive back a few years ago. The dolphins been that because he was the exact same way. So this reminds me of Patrick's for tenants. Sammy Madison. And I know that was one of the defenses that we all grew to love. I liked the signing an age crazy that through. I believe it's five years. Eighty two point five million dollars Bar Jones again. We don't know what this means for saving Howard but if you're going to keep existing Howard there and Got Byron Jones Exhibiting Howard Nick Needham. You know they go towards the draft and they'd bring some young defensive backs they add another safety. This secondary is going to be scary. And we didn't even mention Calvin Roy who already knows the system who is a perfect fit. Brian floors wants to do you know. Everyone says he's just another guy. He's not just another guy in New England style defense in the defense that he is going from New England to Miami and I know the game four years fifty million dollars but again you took shack loss and away from the bills you took Calvin Annoy Way from The Patriots you're making the AFC east weaker and building dolphins into a on defensively at least anyway Juggernaut in my opinion so it's the same mall. Dolphins they're overspending the overspent. It's free agency and that some people don't understand you're not getting is cheap in free agency. We saw the contract. That Detroit gave the offensive Lineman from Philly. I can't pronounce his name but people were laughing at that. You know I mean yeah okay. We'll go we'll go onto and we just saw the Houston. Texans Day with Deandra hockey. You can be upset with what the dolphins did if you want but to me. They're building things right way. They're building the defense into a juggernaut and then they're gonNA use those draft picks hopefully build the offense a you know this is the time for them to take over the FCC. I hope Tom Brady goes elsewhere. Because that would be the cherry on top if he goes somewhere else in the dolphins. Continue to make these moves. I woke Taking over the AFC east even sooner than many of us expected so so We we are kind of beating around the Bush here when we talk about. What's the deal with Exergen? Howard their thoughts that hey might be cut right after we see him limping limp into court for for the issues. He had to deal with. So I want your feelings about this but I'm gonNA give you a couple of tweets before we get into that Adam Beasley people as have asked if x will be traded. Now I have no information that he will. But if the dolphins decide to move forward after his injuries and arrest they could trade him eat just a five point six million dollars cap it and also I have one more Joe Shad According to New York Times Article Byron Jones wants caught J. J. from behind by running twenty two point eleven miles per hour..

"Yeah and it's hard for us to sit here and you know we're fans we cover the team and we do as much research as we can but at the end of the day you know not even the beat writers in Miami. Have any idea what the dolphins are going to do. And that's a good thing you know people were given our Mondo crap. Because he said you know the dolphins interest interest in Justin. Herbert you know. I think it was a Adam Beasley. Some the other reporters said they liked Jordan. Love you know you keep hearing every quarterback that the dolphins like you know it's too it's it's Jordan. Love it's Herbert. You know it's it's too low. It's every quarterback could possibly be available at five. And I think at the end of the day they will have to trade up and I know people don't like to hear that but at the end of the day I think to a ton of I lo- as much as he's progressing along if he hits at April ninth and he goes out there and throws for teams. I do think they're going to have to trade up and whether or not they do that. I think that's kind of a whole different discussion because I don't know if you saw her. Mom does article today. A lot of people kind of game crat but know. It doesn't really come down to how the team feels reach out to those doctors and he mentioned you know the drew brees situation. You know he mentioned a couple of other situations where the doctors just weren't confident enough for just weren't able to say no confidently that he is going to be at this point next season so it's a lot of projection and. I think we need to realize that you know does Chris Greer Brian. Flora's hinge their career on a guy that you know might not ever be the same in net. Hurts me to say it but I'm being completely honest. We don't know if two of those ever going to be the same quarterback that we want saw but even if he becomes seventy five percent of that what we saw on that Lsu game. That's a guy that I believe can be. The future. Franchise quarterback can be a future top ten quarterback in the NFL. Not Top five. And you said it best. The dolphins had the best situation. They traded Josh Rosen last year. He was a second round pick. They basically they pay for him. So That's how I view him. He is a second round. Pick twenty three years old. His contracts peanuts Ryan Fitzpatrick not going to be around forever. We know the Braun Chan Gailey. Perfect you know. He had his best season under Changli. Whatever you know Fitzpatrick here. It's not gonna be that way for forever. You bring a low you put them on the pup list you sit out the entire season and then you finally get to see what Josh Rosen can become second year you know maybe with some consistency offense. Kunar because God knows he's never had that so there's a lot to take in here and I don't think that you can fault. The dolphins either way if they have a herbert right on par with tons of fellow Soviet. I mean that's the route. They'll go but I do think wrong quarterback and I think anybody that sits here and says they're gonNa Take Simmons. I think that's crazy. I know how a good idea simmons is. I know a good offense attack will be at that point. They're going to get a quarterback because we've seen over the last twenty years how close to getting a game changing quarterback and we can sit here and say Patrick Mahomes into Shawn Watson. That wasn't you know they didn't have a chance to those guys you know. They could've traded up for any quarterback in the last twenty years. But they didn't they had a chance at Matt Ryan the past. They had a chance to Ryan he was guy before and after that who did to the draft Brennan Dowdy. You know the pick for Josh Rosen. So they don't get in these situations often they find themselves in this situation. They gotta do what they did or the last two three years. They've done their homework on these guys. One of these guys has to be the future quarterback the Miami Dolphins. We just sit back. Relax and let it play out. Yeah and Josh Seinfeld. Do you want Seinfeld a little bit? I can't sit here and say A die hard and people are going to hate me for that. 'cause I never really gave it a chance. So there's an episode where they're talking about the word like and you know you. You mentioned the dolphins they like Herber Lake love now. It's something to keep in mind. We're talking about this and this was an episode of Seinfeld. I can't remember the exact reference but I can sit here and tell you. I like the Miami Dolphins but I can also tell you you know. I like you know drinking a beer but at the same time you know one of them. I write about all the time. One of my podcasts. About all the time one. I buy all the merchandise you know I possibly can from time to time and the other one. I have once a week twice a week So there are different levels of like and until you really get that context. I wouldn't I don't think we can put too much way too much. I guess on these different types of you know they like this guy they like you know this guy because there can be so much different levels with the word. Blake and I think that's kind of been an issue since you know. Middle School for all of us. When you like someone quarter call for the first time you know so so it's just a really tough situation really read the most adults and I think we gotta take it for what it is. Where Chris Greer in Stephen? Ross round the sideline talking to that one time at the final game of the season From last season where they were talking about two as their guy before it was even signed. You know there's been so many of these tea leaves that you kind of think about and what. I think really hopes the dolphins here and for some reason. I don't think it's being talked about. Enough is just how many different quarterbacks are going to be available. I'M NOT NECESSARILY SAYING. Just Free Agents. But for the teams like the panthers who all the sudden we got in. Kinda cross them off and I probably shouldn't use them earlier because they're looking like they're gonNa Keep Cam Newton You look at teams like the chargers who can get a veteran to come in and play instantly. Whether it's a Tom Brady. Whether it's a Ryan Tannehill. The colts are another one. They look like they're set to get Phil Rivers Any dolphins and other guy available him in New England. There's a lot of connections going on Jameis Winston Freedom. We haven't been talking about him a Forty touchdown guy Also has like Mitch Trubisky. Nick foles Joe FLACCO. Derek Carr and Jimmy G. could all possibly be on the move which I think only helps the dolphins not only solidify their spot at five but hope teams not really have that willingness to kind of fight and try to even bother trying to outbid the dolphins to move above them at because when you look at that stockpile draft picks it's going to be impossible. Yeah we didn't even mention Teddy Bridgewater. Who is going to get a pretty big deal? And you mentioned an episode of Seinfeld and mentally. I've not seen it but as much as I think. The dolphins going to draft a quarterback if just like him and I know you're trying to say like like like you know they really like him. They love him if they don't love a guy if if they don't feel confident that this guy is their quarterback of the future you do have to kick the can down the road you know as much as it pains me as much as I say. They're never in this position. If you for some reason don't think that guy or if you don't think herber lovers at guy you have to kick the can because you have to be certain that this quarterback is going to be the future quarterback of the Miami Dolphins and again. Chris hitched his wagon to him. Brian floors is great as he looked in year. One you know. Expect him to win. Any Games burs good as he looked in your one he'd be hitching his wagon to him. And you know. He's in the in the room with them. We know we saw that report where you is running defensive. He was kind of implementing a defensive game plan. There are the Auburn Pro Day. You know he's on the front line. He started out as a scout. New England so you got him you got Chris Got Reggie McKenzie and you got Marvin Allen you know Reggie McKenzie drafted Derek Carr. How'd you feel about him? Whatever he is whatever is probably trade this year more of an Allen you know. He had his hand in. Patrick mahomes handed Josh down. You know however you feel about Josh on you know these are guys at right now are doing very very well in the NFL. So you have four guys potentially with scouting experience and that's not a dimension Dan Marino. So if you can't figure out which one of these guys is your quarterback and do whatever the hell it takes to make sure he's your guy. I don't know what to tell you because you have. Fourteen draft picks you know we talk about Jonesboro being unattainable. If they've really truly believed Joe Broza next Dan Marino. They have a chance to go get him to hell with what the fans think you know if you think. Joe Bro is a guy. That's going to finally right this ship that we have not seen you know. We've been mediocre for the last twenty years. If you think job Rosette guy you move heaven and earth to make it happen it using a ton of a lowest guy regardless of whether you can predict the future you do whatever it takes again. Three second round picks is what the jets traded Up for SAM darnold. I think they moved up three spots. You know it's going to be a little more than that. But the dolphins have all these first round picks not only this year they have to next year you know they have additional picks later down the road so you have to figure out which of these guys and we know. They've done their homework. You know they've been at the Justin Herbert or gains the last two seasons they were you know doing reports on Jordan love. They were at his games before he was even draft eligible. So figure out which one of these guys is next Dan Marino. You have frigging Dan Marino there again. You have your Chris greer you have Reggie McKenzie more renown. You've Brian Floors. You have everyone at your disposable agree on somebody and do whatever the heck it takes to get him now that I just finished that soapbox tell me how you would feel about Ryan tannehill going into England. Because I've heard that rumor I think Chris Simms profootballtalk out that rumor. How how would you feel to see Ryan? Tannehill guy that you just been route four seasons go and take Tom Brady to spot New England. You can't get all fired up on me like that and now now let me give some sort of response. I heard the jazz. I try to be brief segue into the next thing but yeah okay. I'm going to defuse and let you go on your soapbox now. You mentioned them. Maybe kicking the can down the road and you know I'm never going to say I am the smartest guy I'm not going to say. I'm one of anywhere close but this is the year of the dolphins. Take their quarterback and this is I want to tell you it's to a mostly on everything we've no The the different kind of hints. We've been given the different appearances and you can't kick down the can down the road because when you think about the dolphins have right now is the fifth overall. Pick and say that. The dolphins don't like any of the guys at quarterback and then they moved on they look at next year's draft. Whoever maybe we don't even care about any of the names all the sudden you know there's two or three guys that say at the top of the draft. Let's go there's too because to in this draft that I think are a step above everyone else in. That's to enjoy borough so all of a sudden. The dolphins are at five and they have. Let's say a risky shot of getting one right because we're sitting here. Were a little nervous that that that is going to be taken from US right. Nobody or someone's going to sneak past the dolphins right under our nose and get that pick all of a sudden. The dolphins build up the roster with everything they have the pick they have next year is going to be even worse. And then you have to move heaven and earth and maybe three more planets to view farther up after. You've already invested this much near team. So I think the value with the you know. All the different quarterbacks are available right now not only in the draft but in free agency but via trade all those help just give you that little bit in terms of what's available and what you can acquire and then you think about the idea of.

dolphins Miami Dolphins Justin Herbert Josh Rosen Josh Seinfeld Ryan Tannehill Dan Marino Matt Ryan Tom Brady NFL Chris Greer Ryan Fitzpatrick Chris Greer Brian Brian floors Mondo Miami Patrick Mahomes Derek Carr Adam Beasley Chris

"Again. Everyone and welcome to another episode of finsider radio. I'm your host Josh House and I'm joined once again by Jake Mendel. This is the second installment of our Jake and Josh podcast Jake. How're you doing today man? I'm feeling feeling pretty good duty now. I'm ready to get in here. Talk about some dolphins. And you know it's Talked about the dolphins but I gotta say there's a new call of duty game that's free to play. That's like fortnight. That just came out so I mean that seems a little appealing to I. GotTa I gotTa admit I gotTa throw it out there. I'm kind of interest. Pete for a lot of different reasons whether it be football or the nerdy sides kind of coming out a little bit. Yeah and you brought up video games so I kinda have to also bring up minor decide and I don't know if you saw but NFL two K. is going to start producing football games again. And it's been since two thousand five since they were able to do that and I don't think they're going to have the exclusive license. They're not GONNA be able to make a simulation style game but I mean I'm excited because any type of two K game you know that that was the best football game. I think they've ever made so. I'm excited to hear about that and I don't know if you have any thoughts on that but that's hopefully that means the end of Madden in this monopoly that they've created over the last few years. I don't WANNA get too big into it. The local Walmart used to do Madden tournaments actually every fall but one year. I actually did pretty well. I I made it to the finals. However in the semifinals I faced the person in the finals brother So he basically kind of gave everything away. I'm not saying that the reason I lost because you know he was a lot more skilled than I was where I kind of knew my team. Obviously the dolphins knew how to use Reggie Bush at the time Divine Bass We're just making it work down the middle and I actually got to play inside a movie theater which I really don't recommend because it's way too big for trying to do something like that but no you're right because everyone's finally GonNa wake up to the pitch of Madden saying. This is the best one ever. When it's just the RE REHASH CINDY IN EVERY YEAR. That really hasn't gotten too too much better sometimes. It's even worse. Yes speaking getting better. We know that this is the most important off season in Miami Dolphins history. I mean I think we can immediately say that at a day. The complementary draft picks were announced. We know that the New England patriots once again had a record high four but the Miami Dolphins they received a fourth round. Pick the one hundred and forty first overall pick from that John James move and then seventh which is two hundred fifty first overall for Cameron. Wake in you know. It's not as good as a lot of people expected we know of John. James played and you know it was healthy and played up the same level that we expected you know once he left that huge hole left on the dolphins offensive line. I think Denver thought they were getting a little bit more James and they definitely thought they were this season. He was obviously hurt. That third round compensation pick a lot of us kind of thought it would be is now four. Th Cameron wake you know one of the best oftens in recent memory you know. He went to Tennessee. I don't even know if he played. I don't even know how many games he played to be completely honest but I think that was supposed to be a project in maybe fifth pick. That's now a seventh pick. So the dolphins now. Fourteen draft picks six in the top seventy. It's a huge deal. Because I mean I don't know they've never had this many they they never had this much cap space and they haven't had this much Co draft picks to us so it has to be the most important offs is not happy about how you feel about that. How you feel about either these players but I'm excited man and we knew those complimentary picks were coming in. But now to see it come to fruition. Fourteen draft picks. Were one month away. Time to get excited. Yeah the issue. Is You know the saying in theory because you'd rather just be set in stone and The the wake thing was crazy because I appreciate an awesome week one. I believe he had two sacks but but I think he was. He couldn't be found on the field after that. And that's kind of where you go into the what makes the Patriots. So you know. A step ahead is in terms of this com. Formula is that they get rid of players when they should they? Don't hold on for those memories for those one to two games. Where you know. Cameron wake almost certainly seemed like he's worth you know the top tier player that we've all loved for years but It seems like those kind of move. Dolphins waited a little too long to make if they do a couple of years sooner. You wonder if that seventh round pick as you know a fourth-round or a fifth round something like that but hey that's not what we're really here to talk about any animal. Certainly right is extremely exciting. Time but it's hard not to think about That two thousand thirteen season and is strange. Was you know everyone can remember different moments of their life? You know you can kind of picture you know where you were what you're wearing. I remember where I was when the dolphins traded for Philip Wheeler or Excuse me Seinfeld Wheeler in denial or be forgotten either of those were trades and they cut. Carlos stands where you're just thinking. Oh my God this is insane. I was working at a little variety store. I was wearing the sweater that wore. Maybe like three times. I thought was pretty hip. And it's just all these things. I remember how important that I'll see the dolphins. They had their young quarterback Ryan Tannehill. They were all putting it together. They signed Mike Wallis but pets and really were CALICO Too Yeah left us with on her face and there was nobody. I mean there were a lot of people on twitter back then not like there is now I mean. That's the place to go for your dolphins information. There was no one more excited for Mike Wallace before it happened after it happened. I mean I don't know if it's because I lived in central Pennsylvania. I don't know if it's because I just wanted that explosive wide receiver and I mean he had some production here. I think a lot of the money that he got and how he lasted two seasons if that and he just kind of fizzled off but he did have production while he was here. We all remember that him Brandon Gibson. Doing that post game press conference previously right the last time the dolphins had this much a space and draft capital. It just did not work out you just Kinda hope that that is behind us and this is a new era dolphins football. It's Kinda starting to seem that way. We're jumping offensive line talk. And they're small fence of lion on the market. The dolphins could have interest in one quick. No we're GONNA talk about free agency later in the week. Probably heading into. It'll probably drop Monday heading into you. Know this free agency period. That's going to be absolute crazy. 'cause I don't know if you saw they push back the franchise tag I think they're voting on the C. Maybe the day before that they pushed back the franchise tag. That'll be Monday and then jumping right into. I believe Tuesday when Free Agency starts. So it's going to be a whirlwind. We know how this legal tampering period may may or may not affected. But let's be honest. These guys are talking to teams. You know things are going to start to leak towards the end of this week early next week players are going to be signed and it's just going to be a crazy few days because again. The dolphins have a hundred million dollars in cap space. You know they have these draft picks where we're talking about. Trump Williams gave Jackson came out today. He's on the trail. That's a twenty eight year old guard who he was hurt last season. Yes he's set to make nine and a half million over the next three years. But you know if the Dolphins Joe -Tuni- like you said you know New England knows what they're doing. They're getting rid of Tony. They're getting rid of Van. Noy No there's a couple other guys that they're getting rid of you. GotTa Kinda think maybe the Patriots have seen their best football and maybe it's not wise to go out there and spend the bank so let's talk about offense. Let's about some of these veterans at the dolphins could approach. Who's the guy that you like? You know what do you see a realistic trade being? We know Trent Williams out there. How how do you feel about a Trent Williams Miami? Actually I'm GonNa cut you off on that for just a second Real back to talking about free agency beginning Greg Rosenthal. I'm a Western Mass Guy Born raised he's a Western mass guy. So I've had some talks with him on different PODCASTS and whatever may be NFL networks for Rosenthal as saying that this weekend. The amount of different Rumors that are gonNA come flying right after the CB announced one way or another he said the Saturday to Sunday might be the most intense you know. Couple days stretch in terms of free agency that we've ever seen in football and that that should really get you jacked up with everything. The dolphins have in store and for that to kind of give you guys a kind of peek behind the curtain. We try DARNEST TO RECORD Sundays. But you know if there's little mix up here a little bump this hour put your tomorrow. We'll push to tomorrow and here. We are Recording on a Tuesday night. But we're going to do everything our power and we're not even just GONNA do that. We are going to have a show on Sunday to kind of talk about it. All because the hype for it is going to be crazy. I think there's GonNa be a lot that comes out after that. Cba Domino really start to fall but back to Williams man. I don't think I understand what people mean when they say the dolphins enough focus on the offensive line and then they just WANNA draft off offensive lineman. I feel like there's a little disconnect where you can't say one without the other really being a part of it you need to really it seems attack offensive line. If you WANNA make it better you have to do both you know. Get them on the open market or Herve already established veterans in the League. And also some some rookies. So when you see someone like trump Williams's available you talk about all the resources. The Miami Dolphins have available. You hear people saying hey. This is one of the deepest draft Classes in terms of tackles. I don't know why you don't double triple up in terms of getting you know screaming for some like travel agency draft a guy or two. I still remember Brennan Albert signing him and you know there was just he was doing like a press conference or an interview or something limpid around. He was dealing with an injury. And don't get me wrong. Elvis was trooper. I really liked him. Great Locker Room Guy. He just looked up and saw the there was like some splur- about the dolphins and and the turmoil therein or the downward spiral of the season and I remember reading an article. Saying he just you know just disappointedly shook his head knowing that you know he wasn't necessarily part of it and what. I'm trying to say here. Is You need more than five offensive. Lineman offense of wine..

"Everyone in the area or keeping you home out in where you live. Yeah in Pennsylvania that I'm pretty sure the COPS V be knocking at the door tomorrow more because they definitely listen. He heard that threat. I did think that when I was saying I probably like. Oh probably should have said that. But oh well sorry. I am your. I have nothing to look forward. Let me ask you this before we go. It's the Dolphin. Give me one name and free agency in name in the draft. That you are confident. The Miami Dolphins could end up with when all is said and done and I know it's holly crap shoot. I know you confident. I have been not been able to get anything out of the dolphins are free. Let's let's just say you know how. `Bout how `Bout my dream free agent edition like if I can only pick one big free agent addition who would it be? Yes that would be Logan Ryan okay. That'd be my guy. I'm going to Dave in cloudy. Just because he's he's always hurt off. The dolphins aren't gonNA take. Oh you already said. The dolphins run a team for him. Brian Flora's prior told me to go himself. I think about how about a Gawk Kway from Jacksonville. I would love him. I see the report that I was. GonNa take a second round pick and then swap picks to Seattle and interested in. Forget who Tony. Tonight C. C. R. I read it. I read it anyway. Yeah Yeah what's up with that? Why won't the dolphins make that trade They're not gonNA make that trade. But I would love that. I can't believe it was Tony. Pauline okay all right we we forgive you. One one player. "A great question Jesse David Fox for me. I think it's gotta be to. Its hunger by low but the biggest thing for me is you're saying at five and I just don't know how they can. They can do that. I don't think they can sit back. And you know you see the fans consistently say you know. I think that I want to but I WANNA move up for him. I don't think that's how it works. I think if you want to a ton of our low you're not move up for him because before job rose injury you know he was probably the number one. The number one quarterback on the board no teams would be traded for two tone by low right. Now if if he didn't get hurt so for me I mean I just keep going back to Justin herber and I know people don't want to buy into that and people don't WanNa believe in that but he just kind of fits that mold of what you know again the pill ourselves way you know Marvin Allen drafted what. I believe to be the the best comparison to Justin herber renowned. That's Josh Allen. No He's not as mobile but I think he's more accurate than Josh. And we talked about this on the show before so I want them to go to his home of. I think they might go. Justin Herbert but I can't sit here and deny Jordan love and I continue to say you know just number three quarterback on the board. But if I'm the Miami Dolphins and you know you kind of saw Ryan Tannehill did and you kind of see that just in Herbert's ceiling isn't quite what Jordan loves it so for me. I don't think too is going to be there at five. And if it were up to me gun to my head just in Herbert Jordan love I would go Jordan love just because I do believe that when all said and done if he reaches at full potential he's going to be as good as anyone in this class. Not named to a ton of a low not named Jober I think Jordan love has the potential to be one of the know a top five top ten quarterback in the NFL if he hits all those lamb and again. I'm not going to sit here and I know I got you know. I don't know if you read the comments on the inside Rep. People absolutely destroyed me on our last podcast. Because I'm too much of a rock guy. We have Chan Gailey this dude sixty eight years old you brought in Chan Gailey to you know mentor and to build this quarter backup. Who has he ever developed in the career that he's had it's been a great career. Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best quarterback you know is the guy that this dude is built up. So I'm not sitting here and putting all my chips in and believe in Chiang guilty because that to me is the biggest red flag. I mean. You're asking a sixty eight year old often have coordinator. Who's been retired? Hasn't done much of anything in the NFL as for developing quarterback to come in here and take a guy like to top. I Lo- who you know Chang. Gilliardi pass along drew brees. You know he kind of said that he was a little bit undersized you know. He passed on a quarterback very similar. Him drew brees. So I think again. I think that that's the dolphins way to go. Justin Herbert but if it were up to me I'd go Jordan love to a ton of a lowest guy. Those two guys. I battle that four to five if you believe Jordan love. Justin Herbert can be the future quarterback the Miami Dolphins you pull the trigger there. I mean everyone say draft Isaiah Simmons than you to eighteen. Neither of these guys are going to be available to eighteen important. The quarterback position is I mean Daniel Jeremiah. One of the best in a game. I mean I think he continues to say that just her my fault later in the draft. It's not going to happen. You know Tom mcshea put a five thousand dollar bet down. That Jordan would be drafted ahead of Justin. I'd not see it happening. I think that the three of those guys. I think all four of these guys Joe Baroque Justin Herbert ensure love. All has the potential to be franchised quarterbacks. The dolphins just need to decide which ones there's make that move and do whatever it takes to get them to a trade up. If it's Herberger love you just say put take that guy but for me I think Jordan has the highest Justin Herbert's Kinda you know what we've seen in the past and to its own buy low is obviously you know the apple of my eye when I was NFL. Combine we had And I put a story on Pro Football. Never tonight about this and basically the headline was just opens. You're still targeting chunk of Iowa as in chip to a ton of Vilo as their qb one in the twenty twenty NFL draft on. I need to rephrase that already. He's not near. Qb One as far as I know. We I Joe Berle might be cute. They're QB one. I don't know that but assuming Joel Burrows off the board the dolphins next Goto to Tunga Viola. And you know you look at all that right and this all came to be we weren't at the NFL combine PFM wasn't actively searching or sources to figure out who the dolphins were targeting. But we received a believer was Thursday. Yeah Thursday early afternoon. We received a very credible tip in the media workroom from somebody that's Jordan. Love was their preferred quarterback over Justin Herbert and when we asked his personal warranty running with it they said they couldn't for number of reasons and If I give you the reasons it will out them. I can't obviously out our sources. But they couldn't run with it So they said you can run with it if you can verify it with a second source. Go for it. I feel strongly about it. I'm not one hundred percent strong on it but I feel strong enough to let you guys know that it's out there. So we started looking into twenty pauline one of our insiders and draft analyst and but Albright of course you all know one of our insiders European and then myself and Matt and Fonte. Also one of the guys over just started working our contacts. Obviously Tony Benn have much more than we do. But we all worked contacts and we worked on it for a little bit and we finally figured some things out an and ben got back to us in a few hours and he basically said this all the talk about Justin Herber and Jordan love. Ignore it. It's just the dolphins creating leverage with the Lions and other people have thought of that because the dolphins have already spoken to the lions about a potential trade. The talks did not get very far assumingly because the tree asked for way too much and so the dolphins knew they needed to do something to get some leverage back on their court. And all these Coordinator leaks with the media members. And you all these articles you see about the dolphins loving justin. Herbert and Jordan love. I think they do like them to an extent but to like them enough over. Tua is an understatement. And I think it should not be seen that way. I've been told that no one in front of the dolphins are interested in drafting to all this talk. You hear about the Lions and the redskins look to it. It's all to gain leverage entry talks and to also You know just try to create some of those smokescreens from their troop who intent because the lions don't know if if the Redskins trae down with anybody and and obviously the redskins or number two. But you don't really know for sure of the Bangla. You're GonNa Take Joe Borough until they actually Joe Burl and so you know. They need to create this impression that they may not be targeted guys. They really want to take your house. You know when when you say the dolphins need to trade up I I do think they do need to trade up as well And March ninth. Which is just in a few days to get his medical checkup. And that's when he is presumably going to be cleared to recent football activities. And that's going to be a big day because once that test comes back clean. I bet you that price to jump. Up GOES WAY UP. And yes the dolphins can handle it but the whole point of restocking rebuilding was to accumulate as many high draft. Picks it possible so when you're eliminating those high draft picks you're kind of defeating the whole purpose of the tank and I know it's not the tank but it's just a nice term to use because everyone just uses it so I do think they need to train up to number three? Why because I think you have to worry about? The chargers will give to worry about the panthers moving up. I think you have to worry about the colts. Possibly looking through up as well. They have a lot of picks in the first few days that you need to be concerned about. And then you got the raiders as well. Who may be looking for a new quarterback so all those you know coming into mind and looking at all that you need to be careful of those teams who want the job you and so the dolphins were to trade with the lions and number three. I think that is a perfect blue for them. I don't think the redskins are drawn to. I think do have their eyes set on chase young but the dolphins primary target assuming Joe Boroughs of the board and assuming the health comes back. Okay is too and asked who the dolphins want. That's the dolphins have always wanted And Berry Jackson the Herald kind of confirmed a report. The next day saying they still prefer to televise. Love by Loa getting that messed up. If it's medical checkout over quarterbacks not named Joe Borough thoughts it all. We don't know we don't know how else what's going to happen until the dolphins are on the clock until that name is Reid. We've seen way too many times. Brady Quinn burst. Ted Ginn You've seen it. There's just too many to list. Were just way too many surprises. And you just don't truly know yeah. I don't think anybody knows and I think the biggest thing to me is if the dolphins truly wanted to atone from day one you know they tried to learn me tonsil and no one could argue that. They got very good value for that. I don't think anybody would sit back and say you know I wouldn't make that trade. No what no one else is going to make. You know twenty million dollars a year. You know he's a left tackle. The dolphins desperately need offensive line. Help but I don't think anybody would turn two first round picks in the second rounder. Make if it's Patrick. Had no interest in being with Dolphins. They got a first round pick for that. The dolphins continued to accumulate. These draft picks to make a move like this and people can sit here and say you know he's injured. You know get hip injury. He had those two ankle surgeries before that ankle injury. He only missed one game. I think he missed to then because he sat out because they were getting prepared real issue. Isn't that freak hip injury so to sit here and say that to its low is injury prone. I think that's ridiculous. But at the end of the day to atone low was honestly the guy that they wanted. The quarterback did they want from the beginning of this. There's no reason why don't trade up. And you mentioned the Washington Redskins Haskins look pretty good towards the end of the year before he suffered that injury chase young the best player in the draft. Why would they pass up on him for quarterback when they already just draft and one last year who's he he's probably the same age as to it up to look it up but I believe he's the same age as to atone by low? I just think the Washington redskins would be smart Ron Rivera. A defense on the head coach to go out there and get the best player in the draft. A pass rusher. You know that on that defensive line can do crazy things and then you've got Detroit. They got Matthew Stafford before his back injury. He was having one of the best seasons of his career. You know they are tied into him whether it be cap space within the owner. Saying you know they're in win now mood you know. They don't have the time aperture doesn't have the opportunity to sit back. Relax drafts to talking about lower so if you could sit here and tree with the Miami Dolphins get a few extra picks mu back and still end up. Getting is as Simmons. Jeffrey Okada whoever it might be. That's kind of out you have to go. And I think the dolphins are going to trade up you mentioned Carolina. You know you mentioned those other teams that have interest in in him. A CAROLINA MAYBE TAMPA BAY moves up and goes after. Maybe the Las Vegas Raiders who. It seems like they might be very well played for Tom. Brady you know their teams there. That could absolutely trade up and take their quarterback. The chargers the panthers the raiders whoever it might be to its iron below before his injury was that darned good you know. He's a quarterback that people have been talking about for many years and again if the dolphins truly believe that he is the guy. I can't see imagine that Chris Greer Marvin Allen Reggie McKenzie some of the best often minds in the NFL in a front office are honestly sitting there. And you know Joe Borough is a great is a great quarterback. He had the best season of any college quarterback and history of football. You know we say here and we say there are these reports coming out. The dolphins have interests there. They loved Joe. Borough who doesn't all thirty two teams love jober. Oh you know what he did this year. you know that kind of a leap that he took. Who doesn't like Joe Borough? Who wouldn't love to go up there and get Joe Bro. I think every team needs a quarterback would love to get a job borough. But you can't show Perot and to atone by low wasn't heard you'd be in the same category as Jober so I think if the dolphins love him as much as they should they gotta do whatever it takes to get him and again..

"So in terms of this offense for the dolphins they're also a bit underwhelming. Nothing really that strikes. You were really entices you and thinking. Wow they've got a lot of talent at this position or the other. It's pretty average across the board and it starts off their quarterback who is I would argue blow average. What do you think that the giants should expect expect from Mr Ryan Fitzpatrick? Well a great beard to start with but on the field you're right fit Ryan Fitzpatrick just as a starting quarterback is is below average as a backup quarterback. He might be one of the best the NFL has ever seen just because he has this uncanny uncanny ability to always be ready and able to just magic up some wins for a team that that he has he in that team have absolutely no business. Getting it wasn't that long ago that Patrick helped the Led the dolphins dolphins to a win over the eagles so he is really not a very good. Starting quarterback just viewed league-wide compared to the other starting quarterbacks in the NFL but you you never quite know when he is going to unleash that fits magic and play a really above what he should be capable playing and lift an offense above what it should be capable of doing it for all those reasons. You really can't underestimate Ryan Fitzpatrick and I know that sounds so odd to be saying about a quarterback that really again is is below average but for that reason. You can't underestimate. You can't just assume that he's going to come out and play bad because there are times he'll come out and he'll start to look really really good and he'll you'll move the ball really easily down the field start. Picking up chunk plays I down after I down. He's not a horrendously bad. He's not the worst quarterback quarterback in the NFL but he can flip that switch and he can turn things on and he can also make plays if they need him to that being said though he throws a lot of interceptions not really that safer. SMART with the football i. He's a bit risky and some of his decision making so there's a good chance at this. The giants secondary could pick him off in create some turnovers as far as other position groups that are notable for this dolphins offense. They have a really good receiver in devante Parker but as a shot that he might not be playing because he's in the concussion protocol Chris who are the other playmakers on the dolphins opens team. Yeah to the first one that really stands out to me is Alan hearns wide receiver. He's big he's fast and and he hasn't been terribly productive for the sorry. He hasn't been terribly productive so so far this year however he does have the ability to stretch the field. which is something fitzpatrick? As you mentioned we can be good at getting hitting those chunk plays so that somebody the giants have to watch out also say Mike Sackey tight end because the giants always have to be watching for tight tight ends and if they do have devante parker he is very athletic. He's tall he's fast. He can have one hundred yard receiving game if they need him too and they feed him the ball but it's a bit up in the air based on his situation and his health overall though they have a lot of really athletic receivers very speedy eighty guys Allen hearns Albert Wilson. Both of those guys are very very fast. And then also Mike Koseki who is one of the faster tight ends and also had a really really good combine Performance and had a really good forty time at the combine. So you know that athleticism is. They're so out of those few guys that we named they. Do you have an athletic bunch that can make big plays to cap things off here. Chris what do you think needs to be the giants Defensive Game Plan IF THEY WANNA win get pressure her on Ryan Fitzpatrick if the dolphins are going to have one of their offensive outbursts with are capable of doing. It's going to start with if it's Patrick. But their offensive line is very not good. You know for all the complaints and worries about the giants offensive line. The Dolphins are worse. They have easily the worst pass block win rate per. ESPN in the NFL. They're only holding up for two and a half seconds on just over forty percent of their dropbox. This is one game where the giants should be able to get pressure with their the front four and if they can do that that will take a ton of pressure off of their secondary if they can leave seven in coverage and either force fitzpatrick to make mistake or throw the ball away or anything like that. That is what they should be trying to do. The big key here. What you pointed out was how bad their offensive line is now? It's a young group. There's a lot of young players on then offensive line some of which they're still developing some of which are probably lost causes after trading Laremy Tunsil. They haven't had very good protection from that offensive line from whoever was starting. Whether Josh Rosen or Ryan Fitzpatrick so when you have a lot of young players on an offensive line that are struggling. That means you confuse the hell out of them. And that helps you create pressure so showing varying blitz looks and also pulling away pulling out instead of actually blitzing sending from opposite gaps. Just is putting out. A lot of looks require too much communication. Because they don't really have a veteran out there that can stabilize an incorrect and fix that communication that easily. There's a reason why opposing teams are creating so much pressure against them is because the communication for them has been so poor and that they can't really fix any issues when there is pressure coming so doing what James Becher does best which is dialing a pressure creating problems roms for opposing off. Its of lines which has worked a little bit more over the past few weeks with Marcus. Golden and Lorenzo Carter that being said from the defensive game plan that is going to be it from us. "Not really much to play for is the giants are out of playoff contention but they are at this point playing for pride and to not lose two opponents that are at the bottom end of the NFL bad. Add being this week coming up the Miami Dolphins who are three and ten and also work intending for a top five draft. Pick just like the giants are in this game. I'm sure you could agree. Chris might not have a lot of implications and if they win it but like I said about pride and also showing improvement. Yeah and that's something something. The dolphins have done over the course of the year. They were easily the worst team in the NFL for the first half two thirds of the season but the players really have taken exception to the accusations that they're tanking. They have played hard and they they have gotten better over the last month month. And a half or so. Brian Florida's has really invigorated. That team galvanized them and even though they had such a long streak without winning a game at the start of the year. They've come on hot as of late beating the Philadelphia Eagles and also getting some other winds hot obviously can only mean so much with three win football team but still having those bright spots of showing improvement in showing fight at the end of the season. Something that giants have not done this year. Anything I think most people would argue. They have regressed in a number of areas which is why the dolphins head coach is Brian. Floors is not on the hot seat seat. In head coach. Pat Shurmur for the giants is on the hot seat. All that being said though like we do in every preview show. We're GONNA be giving you the offensive and defensive game plan planning to kick things off. Let's go right into the offense. This defense has been relatively atrocious. All Year for the dolphins inconsistent is the easiest way of putting putting it. They're allowing teams to move the ball very very easily on the on the ground amp through the air in the very bottom tier of the NFL. Statistically when it comes to that Chris why do you think that this defense has just underperformed or I wouldn't even say perform but done so poorly this season I would would say they are just really pretty depleted as far as players in talent go just looking through through their starting roster the players who kind of just leap off the leap. Jump out at me as guys. I kind of know. Oh I is avery moss because he was a giant than Christian Wilkins who know clean defensive tackle their first round pick and then didn't Beagle cornerback. Eric Rowe and then that's about it. They don't really have much in the way of good impact players on that defense and I think they're just at a talent. Disparity depleted really is a good way of putting it but I also it seems like this defense is so similar to the way the giants defense is right now just in the sense that they're very very young they don't have any major playmakers in it's just filled across the board with these younger quality. Guys that were drafted in the first round a relatively high and and are still developing in learning. Whether that's required McMillan Christian Wilkins like you said and Charles Harris all three of those guys were drafted high and they have a lot of Positively towards them and they and they think very highly of those players but still young and developing which which we've seen from the giants is is good proof that if a defense is young and developing. They're going to struggle. They're going to have a lot of issues making it a good opportunity for the giants to put up a lot of points. Hopefully a lot of yards this game so the dolphins defense is without Xavien Howard who is one of the best corners corners in the NFL. Because he is on the injured reserve. Chris who else is really good on this dolphin defence. Who is the best remaining defensive player? Just just based on what I thought of him coming out of the draft. I would have to go with Christian. Wilkins the defensive. Tackle Clemson played next to Dexter Lawrence. He was very highly regarded as an interior disruptor and also is a leader on that clemson defensive line. He's he's maybe not very athletic in the same way that At Oliver or Aaron Donald Our athletic but for a six fourth worth three ten three three hundred fifteen pound defensive tackle. He is athletic and he was an impact player for Clemson for quite a few years and was a big reason why they were consistently in the college football playoffs. Just of that defense of their starters. He is the one who really jumps out at me. Christian Wilkins like you said has done really really good this year as a rookie kind of similar style to Dexter Lawrence. Because he's big. It takes up a lot of space. He draws a lot of attention and he's someone that they're they're very high on going forward in fitting in with what Brian Flora's was looking for to fill fill out his defense in how those playmakers and stuff guys. That are just hard to move on the defensive line. So Wilkins is very much. He's be watching this game but I also think requ on McMillan who had dealt with some injuries early on his career. I still think he is a talented linebacker. He's very very fast. He's very rangy. He can move from sideline to sideline and he make plays all over the field so trying to move the ball with saquon Barkley and running the ball. Aw might not be as easy as you would assume it's going to be easier than it's been in other games but McMillan is a potential playmaker in the middle of Defense. Yeah and say it will be easier At the very least it should be easier picking up yards for the giants on offense. The this is a game. Where if they don't get those yards if they don't produce on both sides of the ball the outside the volume on the very serious questions that need to be asked of them really should get turned up? Lastly what we're going to cover here in the office of game plan is. What does the giants offensive of Game Plan? Need to be in this game. Well I would say not lose but but really this. The dolphins don't have a team that can knock you out of what you WanNa do either offensively or defensively so the giants should be able to run. Their offense may not the land in their shell playing not to lose. WHO's offense but if we can see something like what we saw in the second quarter against Philli or have seen sporadically sporadically throughout the threat? The last two years really where the whoever. The quarterback is is distributing the football the giants have the have balanced. They're attacking deep. They're in rhythm and moving the chains. That should be what they're trying to do. You looted to a a good point about saying whoever. The quarterback is because we're still not entirely sure if Dana Jones is going to be playing. He was positive in saying that he's progressing. He's he's getting better day today but the giants I'm sure not going to rush him back. That being said though in agreement with what you had touched on is that this Dolphin's defense as a collective collect hall is not very very good. It's probably one of the worst that they're going to be facing as a whole this season and what we've seen from the giants when they play really bad defenses for for example the lions for example the jets. They throw the ball really really well. Against those teams bad secondary's they weren't able to run the ball against the jets. Let's but they'll have a little bit of an easier time doing that. There's a very high potential for the giants to put up a lot of points. Offensively in this game. It's really just a matter of how the defense plays in. If they're finally not beat by a quarterback that is I would argue below the average or to the average level which the giants defenses consistently done on a week to week basis. The one thing though I do notice from this this Dolphin's defense is that they're very he's very vulnerable to deep passes. If if you can stretch the field of your playmakers those guys are going to be open if you can create some confusion for those young guys on defense events. Dirtiest Slayton isn't a potential perfect opportunity to have another big game like he had a big half against the eagles so be on the lookout for him to catch a lot of deep passes take a lot of go routes try and stretch the field of him and get him hopefully another score to yeah and this also should be a game where the giants quarterback should not be under duress. The dolphins only seventeen sacks on the season. They are really not pressuring pressuring the passer all that often and they're finishing even less. So whoever. The quarterback is Daniel Jones of his Manning they should at least have the time to go through their progressions and find those opportunities to Aceh Seti attack deep hit the deep passes and put up points. Yeah the offense of lines situation was a little bit better with Eli Manning in-command and they were able to keep him upright for the first half not so much in the second half against the dolphins defense that doesn't really have an established pass rush the next. We're going to discuss the defensive game plan but before we do that we're going to get very short commercial.

"After the cowboys play a home game mm-hmm and so it is the Monday following cowboys home win which means it's victory Polo Monday so congratulations to all of us going to war some polos but but yeah so here are some sounds from the locker room. Here's the players had to say what that just players and coaches oftentimes Jerry Jones and that's where we start right now. Jerry Jones spoke to the media right after the he saw his cowboys beat the Miami Dolphins and he was pretty happy curious Jerry Jones on the OCHO. I still do this loan. got a Lotta Guys Lauda guys really had a hand in this game and play quilt up to visit so biscuit in there and talk to them. I am but I was really proud of our team. We all felted team certainly felt. We'd like to have gotten a little more going there earlier. Give Miami credit but then came back out and really started making some place and getting the benefit of positive. Thanks happening so it was a really good really good move say game for the Dallas Cowboys for what we've got coming up and I'll say this that Rosen's got some pocket presence about him. 'cause I sure thought we had our hands all over him a lot of times uh-huh to surprise. We didn't get more sack split to his credit he was. Ab makes which was this harder than it should have interest as nation getting spoiled to think that way well I. I don't know about harder. They've got a whole bunch of payers over there that were players that we would have drafted and that's just the NFL. That's what you're playing against out out there and like I said very early on we were all over it but we just couldn't get the play couldn't get turnover. We finally got one of those gave him one of her own but really all. I think I wouldn't try. It did for us to play a game ideas at home. I wouldn't trade it. If you said Said you can have a do over have that shot at what it came out today at two one hundred percent Tony Likely Collision Surly Company could be yes and I think that we all know what saved brings. It's just the without being trite. This official game seeks a physical player but I really liked the way Palmer. Polar runs with talk. Some of wrongs certainly as a kind of burst so I think he's going to be a big play maker for us. I when we started doing some things that at some point we start jury had to get out of the pass around Jerry. How do you metro female. I I think that I wouldn't try to ask for more right now. And I know you're coach is no individual who players would have gotten more willing to give up but I wouldn't try to ask for anymore. I think we're in the queue to go down here and play outstanding coach coach Stan team and they don't have brace but boy. They got lots of really good football players. We have a great relationship with that organization action. We just know what we're into in New Orleans in New Orleans. I've always felt like Louisiana. I'm from New Orleans almost like a second home debate that said what do you make of being three in oil for the first time since two thousand eight well. I I would not I. I know what this is. No what thirty years this has and I know how good to feel and appreciate getting to start off three enough stuff really when you get behind the eight ball you get behind the numbers early. you pay for it later on when you got little aid ship starting often you benefit from that later on we'll need it all within a very happy. Mr Jones pleased with this cowboys pleased faced with the state of the team pleased with America's team complimentary of Josh Rosen excited about New Orleans speaking very humbly these are these are good things I mean these are very very very very good. Things and I thought it was awesome how he was like hey. Let's not spend that much time talking 'cause there's a Lotta guys in there that you need to talk to him and he's clearly very happy. I players in the team. They put together and he should be speaking of the team that he's put together. Let's hear from one of the EH richest members of the Dallas cowboys. One of the more recently paid ones. Here's Zeke Elliot and again as mentioned he did do his media session with Tony Pollard so really here are Zeke Elliot and Tony Pollard. Both of them rushed for over one hundred yards against the Miami Dolphins. We started off slow. We didn't come. We definitely didn't play we. We got rolling it. All you got the win. Did you talk about how you Antonio of assets down there. Take a nice looking at summertime for sure man. I knew every science teachers out here juice and he can run. He could play ball came here to get a great day today. I'm proud of you first since two thousand three and especially in this room was this business especially when it's businessman. I saw early in the last fourteen weeks. We'd is GONNA. Keep our heads down. Keep grinding go hawass his film. see where we can improve a lot of areas and Tony come forward so we can see paths. I mean it just so hard you know. Gang Pani any good you know making it easy for us. Excuse I mean we definitely ruffles team running game when you talked with federal can't forget about those those is big either friendly. They made it. They made it easy for us today. They went out there and dominators guys or thread. That's how you get two hundred dollars to start a where you wanted to it so fast. I mean dissed just come out hot leading score off ripping and just read and execute better opportunities dropping balls from us. I mean we just had to tighten tighten up. How does it feel when you guys. Are both having a success you are. How do you feed off. Each other is is is great on tired aw come out he'd come in. He gassing on this guy be tough on defense and Tony Saint in the season using a little now they haven't really used to Muslim Tony Surreal free to SCO your first touchdown Ashdown's third third. Well yeah those other room in his own eye from. You're not just celebrating. Rally wasn't like Sea Tac makes everything easy alone. Watching this on the heat lost your mittens looking. What does it feel like you ought to be looked at the statement when you turn and look at Tel Armie play a lot of ballgames this new and the way I look at it is every day when I again myself but I'm helping to our team. Tony to the game just to make sure that he progresses along got every week in a true to a UH. We didn't come into this thing to yours last week. You know back on the nice to feel feel a lot better in Toni Hoffman. Today it will fine just being out there making play decided we lived up having no dropout economist. This one two punch can really curiel for this season yeah. I think I think it's definitely very helpful just because we don't be fresh guys go and that like this by that. Logan's divided into so I mean it's not me getting thirty thirty five types of the game anymore. You know it's us taking care of together so I mean it's definitely take off and I think most of his season vocal refresher guys seems like the bond between the two of you has been tight since can't even when you weren't here. Tony said you guys are in touch. You had people over your house. You just talk about that. Connection on these is the way I look at it. I said earlier I want him to become to help him become the governor but he doesn't marry that we we might play playtime or anything. I want him to become the best. The Best Bank could be awards. I can't express how cool it was to see them. I'm doing together. I mean it really. It felt like you know like Bros.. I mean it really felt that way. There was a great sense of camry and I mean look not to sound cliche but that's the tap stuff that's hard to be. I mean when when teams and locker rooms or that close that's what football movies are made a man man. That's how football movies are made of so that's what Zeke and Tony Pollard had to say. I referenced demarcus Lawrence Quote earlier hear it for yourself. Here is demarcus Lawrence on the Ocho Margaret Margaret. You feel like you guys are y'all absolutely we said status for ourself and Ozzy every year so that's about you know uh what's going on here. You know playing the game rocket science fundamental football and his period the cookery set the tone for the second rich man. I was just trying to make sure I kept my head down and keep digging. We know we had to make the hits and make the fits in order to get the ball and luckily smooth it out or me but you know got back so permanent rush queen and as the race visit some Matt Queens snake because he had no knees ankles so the snake now so you know got five also also guested starkness game particularly. They thank you got dolls. They'd be ready for war anyway. There is nobody like demarcus Lawrence. Nobody had a sack himself against the Miami Dolphins Dolphin so good for him filling in the war daddy role that Jerry Jones certainly likes and and now pays for handsomely tank is really the a spirit of called Bob Boys caught the rush Golden Defensive Line whatever you want they go as he goes and he goes a long long long way cool to hear Robert Quincy Nickname for him rod which is snake who would have thought I mean snake salon nicknames when you think about it. There's a lot of snakes and a lot of movies isn't theft but there's a snake on dot com defensive line and I wonder by the way Sean Lee is jealous because he was remember he was snake lease accorded as so who knows but that was that was tank. Let's let's move back to offense back to a Buckeye. Let's hear what Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver. Devin Smith had to say it came in the office at snow started again. You just had to be ready for that India. I had a slow start just had to pick it up. Thanks the thoughts on having to author. It's hard to stop defenses playing this. That'd are you ready for that as much as I want to. His team's exactly so I mean two differ style of runners the loaf their explosive. I'm the courses obviously a lot of expectations and giving your career to this point the bigger role for today on North started in this league before so for me no opportunity for me to go out there and play they gave Phil being out there..

"How good were you really also my notes yesterday was potentially the last game ever in an NFL season with uh-huh baseball place now not potentially. What's movie lay it bill? It's fine. That's right. I'm trying. I'm trying to help you out here. That's possibly well because the last game that's going to be played in Oakland on a baseball fields because they're moving obviously next year and there's no other it feels that are shared baseball football facilities right now so unless for whatever reason a baseball team in a football team in the future start sharing facility again. Yesterday is the last time that that will have happened okay so they're leaving open yet because everyone was saying definitively. This is the last infield dirt game. You're ever going to see which I kinda got up for a little bit. I'm like Oh aw yeah because my wife's now paying a little bit more attention to football and last week. She noticed her in the the Monday night. Football doubleheaders wise third on the field. This was a totally foreign concept tour really yes she magic. I guess she just learning about it now and I kind of feel sad for her because she just found out about this concept and now it's being ripped away. I kind of liked it when the marlins and the dolphins remember always hearing on Monday air whatever the day after the game was the Monday night game on Tuesday the complaining about the dirt so dangerous oh I can't believe are and I'd go to the moral gains and I'm like. Oh The marlins complain about all these stupid stupid lines drawn all over the field. This is ridiculous looking but I liked it. I liked it Oakland. They have a different setup because in case much more of the field yeah because the Oakland Coliseum L. A. Siham or whatever the hell it's called now. It's like they're something energy costs or something I think I don't know whatever so they they're feeling the oracle they sponsor everything. Their field is like right in the middle like the MARLINS. If you remember obviously I I would think everybody here remembers. The marlins used to have like the corner so it would be the the -til monster would come down and those would be the kind of just be like often like one of the end zones almost like in the corner would be the diamond but it Oakland. It's like right in the middle of the field because they have a stranger settlement in the baseball game. You'll see there's like eight thousand yards on each like between the stands and the lines because the placement is different. I think second base for the baseball field is like right at midfield yeah just to try to paint it. It's interesting. I'm like it feels like it goes from like thirty thirty. I've always wondered when they like the fields back together and stuff like that. What do they do with the pitcher's mound like how does the pitcher's mound disappear because it's not there and it's not. I thought that I heard and I could be wrong. Obviously obviously that it later went in somehow but how would like you'd have just a circle that rise isn't that can't be right. They have to just totally remove all the dirt. You'd think right but they have to flat. PITCHER's mound football should be played with a pitcher's mound in in the field like that would be great but you really unhealthy. It'd be talking about healthy unhealthy. Remember were they loved. One Houston had the hill in Centerfield. Could you imagine the ball spotted and like half the line is on the pitcher's mound and half the line is not on it and you imagine the ball being spotted and it just keeps rolling off just has to be great. No It'd be horrible horrible experience imagine kicking off the pitcher's mound. I did like ticket. I did like it with those dolphins teams. I think I had like a Dan Marino poster which like he was wearing the home whites and pants and Jersey were just like had all this this klay on it is just cool. I had drew bledsoe posts or two and he had the dirt on his pants and like he played that game in Miami. Play that game in Miami. It was just a part of that whole dolphins aesthetic which we saw them throwback to that was the best takeaway from the game is man. Go back to the old uniforms. Everybody's in agreement right. The what do you think the most famous like dirty uniform moment is. It's got to be the bloody sock. No I was going to say it's the it's the Tivo game where it was really rain. In the field is a mess and he slid leg and read pain. He's like he was covered in blood. They use that all the time to make can look like this monster war running down the field covered in blood and it's like now. Is this the bad paint a fab. Pj does look pretty cool. So what else is in there my final note note. Actually it was dolphins. My vote was dolphins related. We didn't get to yet flora said Yeah. We left some yards on the road food out there. It's alright you okay. It's you know it's nice good. Don't worry one day I just want to. I don't want you to struggle with confidence. I want you to stay aboard but you're you're putting out good out there but not good tape. It's all about tomorrow and useless now asked me again. What is it Brian says we put we left. Some Europe's cut the last one that I didn't get to his dolphins related. Brian Flora says quote. We left some yards out. There sure did all of them some things we'll talk to at one point in the game the Patriot would've taken points over yards their floors one point and that was also sorry I was also when it was when there were zero point and they called timeout with four seconds left. I was also before I was yelling about it and non-existent safety screaming field goal feels. Go cake a field goal because what would like you don't WanNa be shut out. Just kick a field goal. It looks Super Bush. It looks super cheap. Yeah are horrible. Hey well I'll always take that not shutout moral Victory Against Clinton and the ACC championship mark drove right down the field kicks three. You gotTa kick three there so you don't get embarrassed and you don't get shut out. They haven't been shut out at home by this feel. You're like ten yards away. Kick a field goal. Everyone's pointing to the point that we have missed it. Oh my God I would have been great. Well I mean what they ended up doing was calling timeout to try to score points to try to get in the end zone and they end up throwing yet another. Did you like the end zones. It's because of the throwback thing right why they had the diamonds and Roy pointed this out to like it has to be just white orange because they share and they write Miami so both both teams but when when they're both not playing the same weekend home do they do a special canes one like if the canes are home in the dolphins aren't will they have a special Ed Kane's because that diamond situation. I'm assuming as just because of the fact that a throwback. It's not going to look like next week. They'll probably just GONNA go back to the old Blackie ocoee Miami thing but I mean the canes are going to be here. What like six straight weeks or something five six three weeks and the dolphins are on the road next week. Why can't you just paint it differently differently. I would like to have that that old Miami Hurricanes endzone script back clean yeah. It's always like the safe it just says. Miami and it's like super generics functions nations for both teams. You just said the were diamond and it made me think that I saw the live action Aladdin this weekend. Oh Yeah you anyone else in that. No I saw it. I saw it in the theaters not a fan. No I did diamond that you think of that diamond in the rough geniuses theme I saw no it and I thought it was a decent nostalgia because they're singing songs that you know right so it's a different take. Obviously I prefer the cartoon like `bout. `Bout thirty minutes into this movie becomes big Willie. Show and that turned a lot of people off and I was actually cool with it. Becoming the big willy show I was fine. My big complaint was Jaffar are he wasn't like they made such a good job in that cartoon of like with his thin face and he looks so maniacal and this guy he just wasn't doing it for me. I I. AJ far. I attribute a decent. I think they needed to go older and like like just croupier older. Probably older during croupiers looked like kinda creepy voice. I don't know I just yeah he's too young. It was far older I remember in the cartoon being like Ooh Ooh far like I needed to take a shower after every scene. I know who the perfect four would have been hold on. Let me get his name. Wow Sasha Baron Cohen No. Have you guys seen a serious movie on Netflix. It's a series right yeah. I think and it's like it's a drama yeah. He's playing like a real person yeah. I haven't seen it but it's not a movie I think it's it's a series to to watch the roast of Alec Baldwin last night. I saw that you were like tailgate and yeah. I was about your instagram story habits. It's why did you need to put up the entire stepbrothers that is a good can't hear anything like you're far away from the volume up on your phone. I I listened back to it. If your volume's up you can hear it but don't you have to take into consideration. Chris the people that are watching the instagram stories you walk up closer to the TV and you put the volume up for them so take it easy. Amen I got is also a strange angle demand. That's funny. That's funny but I didn't watch it yeah because because I know it well I would watch it. If the angle we're better you got to tap through it. Don't swipe you mean. Those of you know. I was just like a third that means I get the views like so in my mind. You watched it thank you. How was the Rosiak. That's just for your own satisfaction. I mean I don't even really look at it but I just like to know it. I I didn't watch it I I. It's a comedy central to go to the guide to record it. I have recorded and I ended up. That's like when I just stumbled will the pond. That movie in that scene saw this yeah grandma. I watched Sunday night football. I don't I don't know what to make it. Are you hoping that we you watched it and we told you what happened. 'cause just bring it up conversation. You Know Okay Banner Day for you know you're doing yeah. That's fine. Just try yeah man. "The positive spin on all this the dolphin if you're a dolphin fan right now you're looking forward like forget backwards right backwards has been hell forever. If you're just looking forward in the next two drafts we have eight top one hundred picks and one hundred forty million to spend so it's like okay. We're going to be terrible this year. If you just get over that fact then you know and you got to <hes> in this draft and then lawrence. I feel like you've got to end up with one of those. They were gonna end up being bad anyway right or so might as well be real bad but my question do you guys is why would you go to one of those football games this year. They've got a business to run as a tale gangs fun. I kind of have to job. Tailgating <music> gaining is is really the only the only draw like get out. Get away from your wife for a couple of hours. Come on out and drink some beers mike. We have to do a segment roy. <hes> wanders around a sad locker room like we have to have been doing that for three years but i know we need to frame it though like with sad music and stuff and you just wandering around it's a terrible job. You have this year roy because you've got violent sour men who are going to be on the wrong end of some drubbings and you're gonna wander around that locker room by game seven. You're going to be asking the same question of a one in sixteen <hes> that you're going to be asking in week fourteen of a two and twelve team so effectively on jason leisure if like one it seems like this segment is that roy killed you want roy to walk around very angry violent people after they've been destroyed for the fifteenth time and a season and just ask them questions questions agents not dumb questions sad questions. Are you sad like that. This is gonna laundering around the locker room. I wanna montage of sadness from the dolphin locker room after every game. What is this the right move for the miami. Dolphins there it is someone has asked the question. Is this the right on the right. It obviously is dumping dumping. Everybody for future assets is obviously the right move if they could get rid of that sterling secondary they should do that to everyone talks about how bad this season's going to be and i know i just said it less than a minute ago but e._s._p._n.'s f._b._i. Simulation hasn't been eighty eight one game out of the playoffs offbeat so great. When was that done. I think it was done before the night zoom. Yes i saw yesterday. I saw it yes eight for these. He's dolphin chiefs at nine and seven i'm like what are we doing updated roster going into this dan. If you were to be told the dolphins are gonna be one game worse than the chiefs you take yes i would also white my answer would that we we all laughed but <hes> i might take that five and a half points week one who they play in week on tomorrow baltimore on the road come on we. Let's tap into some fits magic. It's all made. I saw this on twitter the highest n._f._l. Week one bet percentages are all road dogs so it's the ravens minus six and and a half at relevance road faves yeah on my bad because they're looking at who the words the big upset. There's going to be a big upset here all our road favorites. I'm sorry that the ravens at at the dolphins lions at the cardinals chiefs at jags rams at i like taking my week one home doggies forgive me. I don't understand anything that christians yet now. He did it all wrong. I try you want. I think chris some trouble with dog's favorite say it again. Try it again. Okay the top four like the thing people are betting on. The most with the spreads are the favorites but they're all on the road week one so the top four bets are all rhode favorites and i think like people think like like week. One team will get there and the thing all right whatever i'm done all right under dogs though dolphins dolphins who's on the road a who's.

"Thousand and five is a good season for the miami dolphins and just not good enough the playoffs everybody nick statements the greatest example apple of someone who leaves here and has success some place else <hes>. This organization is swallowed. Jimmy johnson bill parcells nick sabin so you might as well start over. I will say that it was pretty week for them to send flora's out to defend it when that ain't his choice and he's out here saying all that bullshit. We ain't tanking because okay. We've got terrible players who are going to really try. Try heart. That's that's all he's saying. We're going to really try as hard as we can with bums with hobos even thirty three percent of the winning seasons in the last fifteen years for the dolphins oftens. Can we just let him say that. It's not tanking like what do we want him to say. Do you want him to come out and say we're tanking but chris. It's obviously putting obvious everyone's why does he have to come out and tell the players that he still has. Hey guys we stink like letting him at least fake it for them all right. Let's do it this way. I'm dead serious about this. Go ahead and name. The three best dolphins are mondo had all those stats about everyone. The dolphins waived. Nobody picked them up twenty seven dudes they waved. Nobody picked him up. All dolphins are scavengers around whatever the patriots are waived waived him. Then navien howard's biden. Yes they just paid him. He's like i'm trusting. The process process in grant still here yeah but he's not as good as our wilson is he. You see hard. This is so deep. I guess wilkins the first sean traffic. He's gotta be in one of your top three or shot jones minka fitzpatrick. That's all all all defensive backs. They've they've got. They're going to try and smother the league with secondary everybody three their best. Three players are all defensive banks. I think you could ask what are the texans doing more than one of the dolphins. Doing i mean nick right pointed out in the trades. They made they got rid of two first. Round picks picks a second a third and cloudy. That's a huge and they got back stills tunsil and duke johnson and a couple of latex they like what are you doing leadership leadership that got four people acting as the g._m. No real g._m. They must think tunsil. I mean a lot of people are saying top five top five good player dude i all i know these games aims damien woody yesterday's call laremy tunsil. The best left tackle in the game. L. is pro football focus says and maybe they're saying that he's top five. I don't unaware everyone's getting this from. I i remember a lot of drive killing penalties when i think of laremy tunsil this is a good trade for the dolphins though if they're not going to be good they got what to. I the second some pieces right. That's what i'm saying. I didn't see tonsils a top five left tackle. I saw him as maybe a top fifteen left tackle so that's what i'm i agree. I'm not happy to see stills tunsil..

"Back on the Peter King podcast happy to be joined by the new coach of the Miami Dolphins. Brian flurries, and Brian were sitting here in Indianapolis. You know, you've come to the scouting combine for few years, obviously as an assistant coach how different is it as you sit here knowing that you're sort of the commander in chief. And you know, your in the shoes of being the head coach now. Well, thanks for having me. There's a foremost, I would say no this experience at the combine it's an honor to privilege to be the head coach of the Miami Dolphins and. This has been a great experience out. Really? I would say the first time I've really spent time on the offense aside in on watch the old line drills in, you know, the tight end receivers, you know, an minnows interviews. So that that part of it's been been been been very good at the same time. You know, a lot of my thoughts are on building a team from that standpoint. Offense defense special teams, not just one side of the ball. So that experience new, and and fun and interesting a lot of good communication. Lot of great conversations with the guys on our staff and our personnel staff accuse me coaching staff and personnel staff about the types of players. We wanna bring into our organization from a character standpoint as well as talent standpoint. So this is a very important week as far as building, you know, our team. This is you know average every year you have an opportunity to to to improve your your team through draft. And it's a very important process. And you know, we take very seriously, and we're trying to get the most out of this week as an entire staff. Wanted just go into your background a little bit. And you know, it's interesting. You're you're a New York kid, your New York City kid, and there's a lot of there's a lot of hotbeds of football in the United States. But the five boroughs of New York City, really, you're not, you know, they're not the hotbed of football in the US. So what got you so into football as a kid? And when did you start thinking of football possibly as a career? Let's say football found me, no one in my family had ever played my parents are immigrants from Honduras. Soccer was the sport growing up. My uncle I was a fireman in New York. He actually introduced me to the game. He played high school. He actually married. My my father's sister. He's American he played in in high school when he played for the F D N Y football team. So and he was I would say someone who was like a father figure to me. My dad was a merchant marine. So he was on a boat. Let's call it nine ten months of the year. So myself and my four brothers so five boys and house beca. Your rowdy at times. Our Michael would take us out and tickets to arcade, take us, bowling and one night..

"But he was evolved fully on Friday soul. Elusive like Andre branch will play on Sunday against Detroit Lions guard Jesse Davis elbow, but he was involving practice fully on Wednesday and Thursday and Friday. So Alissa QB ready to go tied-in AJ derby, and this is one particular situation because AJ derby is nursing a foot injury. But he was involving practice fully on Wednesday and Thursday Friday. He was listed as limited. So his game status is listed as questionable. Also, Frank gore. Running back non injury related was not involved in practice on Wednesday. But he did practice on Friday. So he is ready to go wide receiver too, keen grant shoulder slash hamstring was involved in practice fully on Wednesday Thursday and Friday. So he is ready to go for seven shows. Harry's calf injury did not practice Wednesday or Thursday or Friday. So he's listed. As out safety. Reshad Jones shoulder injury did get involved in project fully on Wednesday Thursday Friday. So he is ready to go. These necks four players. I'm gonna tell you about that their names appeared on the injury report goes as follow cornerback. Bobby McCain knee injury Wednesday. He was limited Thurdsay. He was limited. But on Friday he was a full goal. But he is listed as I told you before as questionable TJ McDonnell knee injury. He was involved in practice fully on Wednesday Thursday and Friday wide receiver. Devante Parker quad injury. He was involved in practice fully on Wednesday Thursday and Friday, of course, defensive end camera way. Knee injury. Limited on one's limited on Thursday. But Friday, he was a full go quarterback. Ryan tannehill. We all know what's going on. We Ryan tannehill. He was limited on Wednesday. Limited on Thursday limited on Friday. And he is listed as out defensive and Johnson. Woodward Kokoshin did not practice ones. Eight Thursday or Friday. So he is listed as out and that is the latest regarding the dolphins injury report. And let me tell you dolphins fans what a performance by y receiver Alber Wilson against the Chicago Bears. Six reception for one hundred fifty five yards and two touchdowns in my books to fern office. So far of the mammy dolphins received in a with the signing of wide receiver. Alber Wilson who is helping the Miami doff. Any way possible that performance against the Chicago Bears was amazing. And Wilson is being the difference maker right now offense at first we were asking ourselves. What should we expect from wide receiver Albert Wilson, especially with jabbar's Landry being traded to the Cleveland Browns? So with that being said right now, the Miami Dolphins fern office of Chris Greer and Mike Tannenbaum they receive an A P 'cause Auber Wilson is helping the Miami Dolphins any way possible. And especially on that big touchdown run is amazing. How he just got the football and went all the way down feel after miss tackles and more mistake os. And the Miami Dolphins guy a touchdown what? Now only one touchdown. They actually got two touchdowns from wide receiver Albert Wilson. So far Albert Wilson for this season has twenty three reception three hundred fifty nine yards and four touchdown. And if you look at his games this season so far for example in the game against the Oakland Raiders he has to reception for seventy four yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets. He had three receptions for thirty seven yards and one touchdown. So our Wilson is being heavily involved right now offensively for your Miami Dolphins. And you know, what this has to make head coach, Adam gay. His is stream -ly happy. We have a lot more things to talk about before the end of the show we have trade rumors regarding why receive on tape Parker. And I got more information regarding the we will be right back with dolphins talk with yours. Truly Andy Simancas on the Finsider radio network. Miami. We're back with office talk with yours truly Andy Simancas on the fence cider radio.

"Look, this dolphin steam is exciting like they're gonna. They're fun, but are they fund just because Jay color isn't around. Look, they're gonna score between twenty five twenty eight points every game. Can you beat it? That's what that's what the season is going to be. We're going to be in that like upper twenty point range and the defense. If they're creating turnovers, it's going to be a good defense. The defense is going to have to create turnovers, it's going to need to be something that you can count on because even though I'm really impressed with defensive line and how aggressive they are, they seem to be deep there even with the injuries that they sustained and hopefully William as is out for an extended period of time. It did look kind of bad. The linebackers are a big question. I, I don't think naturally ky-ko's probably the guy that you can name nationally. There's a reason why you ask, you know, Jags fan, hey, name, dolphins, linebacker. They're going to be hard pressed to tell you somebody with good reason. When's the last time the dolphins had an above average secondary, like Sam Madison, Patrick ser tan, yeah. And now you could, you could say they have an above average secondary with eggs and mingka and Rashad. I mean, we're showers out but shot his out. But I mean, gives you hope because I think in that intermediate era. Area is where you're gonna get chewed up and it's once again picking on the linebackers a little bit. I hate to be so hard because the dolphins are three. Now you know what? Let's even do the weakness show you got a quarterback who's playing pretty well for you guys. You have some weapons, and Furthermore, you're utilizing the weapons. We said that Adam case your offense. Absolutely needs to be good. If you're reputed to be the offense of genius, no matter the players that you've laws, which you sort of had a hand in and in j.j ice case, pushing them out the door and driver's his case, not wanting to pay for that. Your offense had to produce and they're putting it up and you have to give grace gays credit because he at the beginning of the season when everyone was crushing this roster ESPN had them at the bottom of their power rankings. Sports Illustrated had them going three and thirteen Adam gazes like this is the roster I want in terms of just the right guys in this locker room and the Reno. This NFL season is incredibly hard to predict now just because. The Miami Dolphins were predicted to be last by ESPN. But last week we said we knew two things definitively was at the pills, and cardinals were bad, and the corals almost one and the bills pulled off the biggest stunner in the league since one thousand nine hundred five in terms of an underdog winning. So now maybe you can't look at that as two wins, but there's some room here for the dolphins to slip up three. You know, the rest of the division is one in two, and you got the patriots next, and you would love to win that game, but it doesn't crush your hopes if they lose that game, I take three and one. Are you ready to change your seven and nine prediction? Because I have your original, you had them losing yesterday originally? Well, I had them the titans win jets, win raiders loss patriots loss. So had them at two and two through four games. Now it's looking like it's going to be three and one. So there you have a loss. So I have them now if you base it off my predictions now they're going to finish eight. Nate? No, I'm letting you change your prediction. Are you sticking with that eight eight. We're going to update, so we'll forget about the first three. We'll just we'll say. That's a win. So you have losing next week? Yes. All right. Bengals winner loss, whereas it it's at Cincinnati. Bengals win. Wow, win. Okay. Bears winner loss at home dolphins while win lions winner loss your home home game dolphins. Wow. That's.
