We're mardi gras season. And we can't have parades stinks. It really sucks followed it. Isn't that just plain sucks so tell me you know. I've been working a lot lately. So i haven't been watching the news. I've seen so much facebook though about yard guy. Yeah tell me what's going on a friend of mine. An server actually started website mobile porch parade. Gosh two weeks ago tomorrow. So it's been less than two weeks. She sent a note to a group of girls on instagram said. Hey i just started this thing. Check it out and so i did and then i said well. Do you have a facebook page. He goes no. I don't really do facebook us at girl you've got to have a facebook facebook page so <hes>. She's like well you do. And i was like sure and so. I basically set up a facebook page on wednesday morning and then all of a sudden to become the pr representative for this offer. That's what you do. And i love it and being downtown or living in the old neighborhoods and being a part of this community. I personally was very sad to not be able to participate mardi gras decorate for more to go. I was ready to just to put the christmas away and wait for summer. Yeah we were supposed to ride week before last dolphin allen so my husband and i have been in that organization since two thousand and five and so it sat everywhere i think the financial impact though is the saddest thing of all yes definitely. It's funny when the mayor of new orleans and the mayor mobile get into it about who. We are mardi gras started. We all know it started in mobile. Alabama does why and everybody sees it as a big party <hes>. By bills a little bit family. Friendlier there are no rules in new orleans right right but if you look past the party somebody interesting. The mobile mask <hes>. I was reading something he wrote in. He says it's not this year. That were really gonna feel the impact. The restaurants will the mars will <hes>. Do me mardi gras. Will you buy your throws and your beads in like in places like that. But the costume. Makers yes all right. They're not gonna fill it this year because because everybody pre-ordered and prepaid for this year and they'll just wear them next year. What are they going to do the next year. Getting ready right from there to the stores where they buy their supplies and the trickle down effect on the flight designers and all the artists involved. In that i mean they've as you say they were all set and ready to go for this year and basically put it on hold and they'll just run those next year so those flow designers won't have work for the next year. Will you got the designers. But how about all those people who make all the paper. Michelle on <hes>. <hes> it's hard for me to bill. Sorry for the beer and liquor people because people drinking more now than ever. I think they're okay except the bars and restaurants. Well you know i- adele. I have a friend that works at a downtown restaurant and she mentioned that in the weekend before mardi gras in a three day period they sell hundred thousand dollars worth of bush-whackers all a cow in three days. That's insane that is insane. One that there we drink that much but it's a lot of people that's a huge hit to them to not and that's just one item on the menu so imagine the the total impact of not having mardi gras this year. All right now the tips for the waitresses their hours cut back and people. Aren't you cut. Fifty percent capacity <hes>. The economic impact is huge. It's certainly huge this year. But i i'm with you. I think next year it's going to be even worse and <hes>. So that's why the ports parade has really been such a blessing in one way. We're able to give back so we've been able to encourage residents work with local builders local artists even the retail shops. Go spend your money in those retail shops as locally owned shops specifically and buy some new decorations mean for every <hes>. Little ball that you put on your front porch. I mean that means something to somebody so even if you spend ten dollars here and ten dollars there that's money that retailer didn't have. Oh yeah and their staff. Yeah bill for the staff to now. I've been saying since the beginning of this crazy stuff. I don't even know what to say. Anymore is look for opportunities. Said this is what this person did <hes>. Yeah basically. Suzanne was sitting around seeing all this talk and lamenting of no mardi gras and then did see <hes>. Will say new orleans kind of got started on the crew house floats before we did. He saw that and said whoa heck. We can do that too so she started the mobile porch parade dot com website and encouraging. Anyone everyone to decorate their front porch their front door their yard the house or business. Whatever it is doesn't matter just decorate and so that when you're riding around town you get the spirit of mardi gras and what i love about. It is. It's not just margaret downtown. Mobile or daphne. Or wherever or dauphin island it's everywhere it is everywhere you know so now you ride through. I'll tell you we have over. Three hundred houses have registered stacey. If i want to do this can. I still register technically

"We were. We were When leader biggest advertisers for you know many many years. And i always had a real warm relationship with them at a lot of respect. Yeah so what were your. Were your products like more expensive because of these different type of exotic ingredients. You're putting into them and that's why he was saying like it's not necessarily well. They were a little more expensive. I sell them at a real high price. I should have you know in general when you when you make a product and you're going to be going through distributors. You want maybe a seven to one or eight to one from your cost to the suggested retail price. Yeah and if you're smart you get better than ten to one. And that's what people do now. You know if you make it for a dollar. It's got a retail for ten and then of course the retailer sells it for seven ninety nine or something like that right but but the suggested retail price. Nowadays it's like eight or ten times more. We were more like five at the time. And also i mean how did you come across getting to know joe leader like how did how did that happen. I literally called his office and made an appointment and asked to come in and see him. I mean that was that. Was you know when i get into something. I just take the leap. I was the worst thing that could happen. Is that say you want to do what you know. I mean so. I called him and we met and and we got along and he asked fascinated that. You're already making stuff right you already. Yeah i guess so. You're supplementing joe. Always looking for opportunities. He was real progressive in some ways and so he said yeah. Come down to la. We'll help you get an apartment. And i'll and i'll pay you for articles if you can write an article a week. I'll give you two hundred dollars a week for writing articles and So i didn't come to la for a while. And i got a phone call. I wish i had the tape. I think i lost it. But i got a phone call in those days. We recorded cassette tape right and it said it said michael. Where the hell are you. I asked you to come down here. And i don't see you. It's been a month and he said i tell you we'll take care of you. Come down we'll give you the job we'll give you you know we'll find you an apartment and so i get to la. I just hop in the car and loaded up. And i drive away. And i talked to his secretary betty at the time. Not his wife. Betty but secretary betty and she said joe just left for you just left the country. It's going to be gone for six weeks. So i didn't tell my parents so i just starved for six weeks till joe got back and then when joe got back. He introduced me to the guys at gold's gym and he He they did help me find an apartment and i wrote an article a week. I was terrible writer. Joe had to hire somebody else to rewrite all my articles. And that guy was bill dobbins if you know who bill dobbins name actually in this picture here. That's bill right there. Okay yeah and so bill. Kind of took me under his wing and taught me how to ride a little bit and and But i did. I got two hundred dollars a week for writing articles about like training or was it just takes that row. No at the time there was a guy named What was his name bill. Bill reynolds your bill. Roberts was the editor and he was tasked with just so much writing so he just hand me are they all came out under other people's names you know but but at the time that was what we were doing so. I talked to a bodybuilder about their stuff. And then i'd i'd write an article in then bulldog and should have to rewrite it and you know it's like seven people but anyway and joe did this. There were times. Joe actually wrote a check out of his personal checkbook to me. Because they didn't have the money in the company he'd had a ceo. I think don't remember the guy's name but This was before allen dolphin. Allen dolphin came in and fixed and everything but he had a ceo before that that apparently had kind of mismanaged and absconded and joe's sorta kinda were his business was kinda broke at the time. Yeah so but he never failed to pay. Pay me or the other guys that were you know. He was paying every week and You know. I always appreciated him for that. Tell us about the underground steroid handbook. What's us about. Oh well so. I told you that when i you know when i ended up in the hospital and hundred and twenty pounds. The doctor started giving me steroids and He gave me deca. And i wanted to understand more about it. So being a kind of a science guy started reading all the research. I could read on it and i had a friend. At caltech at the time he was nineteen years old getting his phd in theoretical physics and he had a. He had a fulltime research assistant and so he had her copy off every literally every piece of research that was ever published on steroids. I mean east. German russian whatever. They could find a stack research. That was three feet high and they. They translated the east. German studies for me so i just absorb that i read it all. And that's really where the underground steroid handbook came from. So when i was after we moved gold's gym from second street to hampton court. Word is now which was the end of nineteen eighty I started doing these things called Actually i think actually it.

"You back with us here on NFL fantasy forecast on Westwood one and Mike, Let's Let's move This forward. You talked the beginning of the show about a lot of reactions that come away from week one. Cam Newton Top six Top eight depending on your league in terms of quarterback play in a week. One. Now the Patriots on some tonight go out to Seattle. Is he a starter? A city here in week two. It is certainly a start. If they're going to run him like that again. 15 carries is not sustainable on a week to week basis for a quarterback, but the fact that they're utilizing his rushing skills, Jason makes him very valuable. Last year, Seattle struggled against rushing type quarterback So I think Cam Newton is clearly a guy who is a top 12 at the very least, start this week. At the quarterback position. I also love Josh Allen against the Miami Dolphins. Allen has owned them during his career. He scored 21.3 fantasy points, Ardmore in all four meetings that includes three games with over 28 points in one game with over 40 points, So get him into your lineup. We talked about Aaron Rodgers. He is a very solid start as well. But Ben Rogers burger he looked good against the Giants Last week, 21 to 32 had three touchdowns. Now he's got the Broncos know Von Miller No age. A boy. This is going to be a depleted Broncos defensive backfield and big band plays very well at the big ketchup bottle, So get him into your lineups. All right, How about the quarterbacks that you're not going to start this week? Who you're sitting Carson Wentz is at the top of that list. I liked him last week, and in the first quarter, I thought he was going to be tremendous. And then the third and the last three quarters happened and it was all bad for him. The offensive line is an issue. And now you bring in Aaron Donald and the Rams, who held that Prescott that just one touchdown pass in a week. One went is a fade. So is Jared Goff in that game, he was a sit in for me last week had 10.5 fantasy points. Now he goes to Philadelphia. Where quarterbacks average the second fewest fantasy points in terms of visiting the link. The Eagles are very tough it home, so I'm fading. Jared Goff, also not big on Drew Brees this week. If Michael Thomas is out, that is the number one option and Drew Brees, his arsenal. I feel like they're going to run the ball a little bit more with Octavius Murray and Alvin Kamara. And so if drew breezes in your starting lineup, I would look for an alternative. Maybe a guy like that Ryan could be on your roster as well. But breeze without that stud wide receiver is a big big concern for me, but that's hard for a lot of fantasy owners to sit. Drew Brees You talked earlier in terms of daily fantasy in terms of bargains based off of how much they cost. Would you start Philip Rivers against the Vikings over him? Would you start Mitchell Travis Kee ah against the Giants over Drew Brees based off of not necessarily daily and how much they costed a weekly game based but your overall team for me in that case, I'm going to stick with breeze. But The quarterback position is really deep. I'll give an example. I have a league where I have not Ryan and Drew Brees and I am going to absolutely sit your breeze keep in mind Breeze didn't go until later on in drafts. He was a borderline Q B one in most leagues, so unless you're in a home league, where people just quarterback's a little bit sooner than they might, this is a situation where most people have enough depth. The quarterback position there with breeze going on the road against Las Vegas without a stop option. I feel like there are better alternatives. All right, let's go to the runningback spot. You talked about Jonathan Taylor a lot of the beginning part of the show. Because of the injury to Marlon Mack could be out for the year and a guy you like one other running backs you starting this week it Taylor is a very solid start, and so is his teammate behind Raheem Mostert is a very good play this week against the Jets. Now, they only gave up 22 fantasy points to Bill's running backs last week, but that total swells to 33.7 points when you add in Josh Allen's rushing totals And the Jets are home dog in this one. I feel like the 40. Niners will run the ball a lot in the second half. Most of it is a very good play, talked about Ronald Jones as well. I like him in defence and in redraft against Carolina. There run defense has just been awful. Ever since 2009 and then Todd Gurley against my beloved Dallas Cowboys, who gave up two touchdowns and over 20 fantasy points to Malcolm Brown last week. Latent Vanda Resh Sean Lee are both out so girly Is a good play and what should be a high scoring game. Alright, quickly, which running back to you sitting here and weak, too. I'm concerned about Mark Ingram and the snap count from last week and the fact that he's losing touches to J. K. Dobbins James Conners playing for the Steelers, but he is a flex daughter at best. This week, the Broncos run defense held Derrick Henry to fewer than four yards per carry last week, and Connor has not been durable and in the Andre Swift We're just not sure who is going to carry the mail in that lion's back Last week, it was Adrian Peterson. So Swift is a desperation. Fleck started a PPR league at best, because his role is really not yet defined yet, Jason Yeah, although Matt Stafford did say this week, he'll still go back to him despite drop there that would have won the game at the end of it. Certainly, Ah, not Ah, what you'd like if you are a swift owner to see Adrian Peterson. Get all those yards when we come back, which receivers which tight ends that you starting and sitting, particularly the tight ends about with George KIDDO. Being out. You need someone to plug into that hole is coming up next year, listening to NFL fantasy forecast on Westwood one It was nice seeing the team's back out on the gridiron for week one. There's no.

"Derek. Down thank you so much for being on room vroom. Barron welcome to the show. How's it going man? It's fantastic. Thank you for having me so you are welcome so tell us a little bit about what you're most excited about. Your Business Today. Some businesses a little weird. It's a niche in the construction industry. There's really kind of hated upon and frowned upon. But here in Nashville we've been able to I guess you'd say scale it so It's called punch work so anytime you buy a house We go through. And you tell the the realtor or the sales agent that you want this this and this fixed and they make a list and then they hand it to the contractor or the seller and. We go do that list. They hand that list to us. And we we basically fix this stuff about five trades also. Yeah so punch. Work is what we do. it's kind of our bread and butter. It's about sixty eight percent of our business. We are however pushing towards We fell into screen enclosures. Back in two thousand eleven and We started doing that. And we're just now. We just now heard of marketing persons. Were super excited about pushing that product. I could've yeah and if you've got a yeah no doubt right. We're in the process of creating a villain for it. Were thinking about Connie Mosquito Joe or something you know him and his band of Vampires. So yeah so. That's kind of exciting marketing stuff and That's fine and there's a new product that we just Kinda came across called quake flashing which is a exterior. You still exterior penetrations with the during the construction process of kind of thing but Basically anytime they puncture a hole outside it could cause a potential leak issue January I had and they created quick vice in created these panels. That have a rubber gasket in you you basically shingle into the house. Wrap and tape it off in a shingle pattern and It seals a-share penetration with with a rubber seal so it expands and contracts with the weather. So we're super excited about where the first turnkey quick installer in the world. Wow so That's pretty exciting. That company's been around for twenty years and so we're kind of on the the really cool rise of that hidden momentum so that company really hasn't hit momentum until you know so hartland. We're catching that on the before the Trans so So yeah that's kind of a society me about what's going on what we've got going on exciting. That's great and your guys are still working even though we are look at corona now no virus is the correct called. The Kuroda Corona no virus. Ally is a comedian Andrew. Somebody who says he has this corona. No no juicy sprays on you. GotTa Cry Honora though The Corona virus is going on in construction. So we're a essential. It's got a nice main Nashville man to be able to draw without getting stuck in traffic. Right tell you man. It's kind of Nice ambience that you but but you know all things considered you know. There's not p There's no meat writes No hand sanitizer gloves right. So yeah man. It's weird Super Weird Mendy. It's a an everyday essential but man a out everywhere. So yeah it's so weird now when you see toilet paper in the story. I think this is like a city thing. So if you're in the boonies like my parents live in like like three hours away from Milwaukee in Upper Michigan yes it is it's FM. Okay the Michigan. Hey there's some beautiful parts of Michigan in Oregon about three times zoo that area or been up to Holland. Saga cut area Michigan fishing up there. Man Yeah and I like being out in the woods. I don't like the fact that it know. It's so far from the airport but you know what are you GonNa do? Yeah is what it is but yeah they have no problems getting toilet paper. They're also run out of toilet paper here in Vegas on the Nashville. Yeah you're in your national. I'm in Vegas but we're both running into this situation where the crazy people are just going out there and buying everything it's like there are people lining up at six o'clock in the morning and get toilet paper. It's not right. And then the pallet comes in the first twenty people have everything in writing. There's nothing left for anybody else. So yeah it's crazy. My wife recently has stumbled upon the secret weapon in Vegas. So don't tell anybody but I'll I'll go ahead and tell you go to places that people don't usually think about to get toilet paper you can get a bit like cvs last of us That's hilarious because I have you know we haven't hit those small places. We kept going to the big places but right down. Yeah it's funny you're in Vegas Craig from Gore. Quick flashing is is in Vegas and he sent me pictures of Vegas House just like a ghost town right now. I'm in yeah. This is just in Vegas January and it's it is it is a ghost town man. It's crazy it's crazy. It's nuts so okay we have to. This is room bear. So that means we have to dig into this whole thing about you being a musician and having a business where you're not really doing that primarily so there's got to be a story there which I lost her. Yeah so where did you grow up? Did you grow up in Nashville? Or did you grow up somewhere else now? Grew up in Mobile Alabama and On the The bay mobile place else Called Donald Parkway so this Dolphin Allen Parkway and Grew up on the parkway and then going into eleventh grade mom Met A guy and moved us four and a half hours north to a small town outside of Tupelo Mississippi called Baldwin Mississippi and lived there for ten years before he moved to Nashville. Okay so so yeah all right so all around the South Alabama south man all around. That's it you're Kinda like well let's see here. I said a Mutt. I'm in Panama City. Florida Tyndall Air Force Base. That's the closest that I got to Gulf coast. I was yeah. I had family on Kiesler airforce base base. Yeah I did I did about six or seven weeks in Air Force Tech School at Keystone. Okay Yeah Cool. Yeah and what is that other? There's a there's a funny sounding there's another city around there. That always makes me laugh. I can't remember no that's not at the end. There's wave land blogs Gulfport Ocean Springs Pascagoula. Pascagoula was have you ever heard of a place called. We gotta we were his Tonka That's good it's an Alabama. All right so yeah. I love that area. That whole like. There's just so many things to do like Panama City we would go to. We went to Atlanta quite a bit. Because you're only four hours from Atlanta. We went to non ORLANDS A lot. Because you know that's just I would never want to go there for Mardi Gras but like any other given weekend was a great party. You know not a girl. Speaking of moderate originated mobile and man. They're they're monographs is a lot more contained. It is a party but it's not like a crazy party. I mean it is a party but You know it's a little bit more family oriented then the New Orleans is of course. I've never been New Orleans so I can't really say I don't know it's fun on a regular old any gibbons soon Friday night on Bourbon. Street is a black right right. Yeah is amazing. No doubt yeah so okay so you grow up and are in so. When did you start playing music? I A actually live with my dad in Fort Worth Texas for one year and at the end of your mom and my step dad had tried to get me guitar lessons before that And just what? They were trying to keep me songs. Achey hard and in all this as wouldn't have in it so I never practiced anything like that. So yeah so then. I went to Alabama Dad for year end that year. That of my dad at the end of the school year in eighth grade they had a talent show. Of course I never heard anything about the talent show. Could I enter anything? Of course I didn't have anything to intern. Talent that about it that trump that point but there was these two bands van and they played one played. Smells like Teen Spirit by Nevada and the played zero by the smashing pumpkins. Okay and I was like drawn. Jake did that crowd when absolutely beserk and I think that's what really I wanted us. I WANNA make a crowd go beserk like that. It's amazing do is absolutely amazing so I pulled that little guitar that my mom had had and it was my great grandfather guitar apple that little thing out me on a books online like low guitar sheets online trying to have a little want to man man. I forget this. I'm learning how to do that. I want that reaction. I want to own a feel that good you know. Yeah I get in so for sure. So so a starter. Plan that eighth grade year than we moved back to mobile with my mom and that ninth grade year in a buddy of mine had been picking up guitar to that summer and Christmas that for Christmas. We got guitars up. We both got guitars for Christmas. And we started playing. We played at the talent show. We entered got got accepted. And I'm Tony Man. I was so excited and terrified all at the same time. I never played in front of anybody. I mean it was crazy and It was just absolutely beserk. Well we got to the talent show to everybody had been. We've been saying. Oh Yeah we were planning talent show. Yeah and I was like dude. How long have you been guitars like nine months and they rely do? Y'All oh neat now. Did you know you can't do that with these embarrassed brother? He's very man. They were just lightness up man and we were both. Just say to heck with that man. We were just like if we're GONNA do this. We gotta start somewhere you know and so me and me and my buddy jo man. We'd get guitars after school man. It was practice practice practice practice. Go to sleep get up go to school. Come home. Practice practice practice practice. I mean we did that. We probably that song a couple million times okay but it was ever long by the foo fighters man so John Good Song and so it was guitar version to lead guitar version so as to do electric guitars knows your melody with Guitar Bass. Yeah so I'm playing lead. He's playing rhythm and A funny story about a man. This this is Kinda Houllier said. There was two girls will first of all when we did. We did soundcheck We we rolled up there. We were totally new BRO. We wrote up. There was some eight inch speakers. An booboo great aunt's yeah and So we get out there with our little bubble great Amazon and jump up there and And we're like yeah this is not gonNa work and so these other two guys that were playing in a band Under forget guiding. Jameson Gun Dean. A Dean says Oh do not from us are ants. May we were like sweet so they might up there and they knew they were doing a little bit. They were seniors. We freshman right and And so in India looks right at me. He goes dude if that he has that amp has a short in it. If that aunt cuts out just reach over and give it a kick it will cut back on a promise. Okay fine you know celebrity rock and roll. Do Oh Bro. It played out just like that road. Not even joking. So we're we're sitting there. We do the soundcheck. And everybody's kind of guy. Yeah cool so they had no monitor so you couldn't hear yourself right? Onstage was terrible so You know we get out there. And they're out there in the crowd the Jamieson and Dean. The couple of other guys are out there like. Oh yeah sounds good. Sounds good out which I'm sitting here thinking wink. Wake Yeah right so So we get into their talent show starts to the school all eight hundred.

"Week we will wrap up my five picks super contests style. Like, they do out in Vegas. We'll do that Sunday morning at five forty. Let's say to queens are good pal. Allen what's up Allen, a JJ? What's going on? Licking my wounds after that one last night that was a watch from that dolphin defence three point three point to that game. I thought gates had his worst game as a coach. By going kicking a field. Go down by fifteen. See I grew a lot of people are going to kill them on the on side kick. I didn't have an issue with that the dolphin defence stunk all night, he's trying to roll the dice a little bit. That's fine. But that's just bad math. And I've been critical of Todd Bowles doing the same sort of thing. How can anybody explain to me when you were down fifteen points by twelve minutes left in the fourth quarter that it's a good idea down fifteen with a four to three to kick. A field goal makes no sense onsite. Kick was pretty good. The gay just went to block them instead of going for the ball. He went to block it was high enough. But it didn't work out. I with that number two. I was Sean Jones if they will play like him, he has a heart like a lion. I know he's banged up. But he played a great game. And that MacMillan I don't know that I need surgery. I don't know. He's not doing nothing in the metal. Well, they leave a lot to be desired and the dolphins a plane is wide nine scheme. And when you play a wide nine scheme, you counting on the fact that you're gonna get elite level Plataea linebacker core. And that's just not there from the Miami Dolphins Allen. And they gotta make some serious adjustments on that defense because. Dan, embarrassed. Now back to back weeks. They're gonna barest by Detroit. You want to even go back to the success that Chicago Bears had without the turnovers. They were moving the ball. I crazy. Dolphins got twenty plus points at a Brock is far. It's not any good. He made some mistakes he missed a wide open. Devante Parker for touchdown. But you would have told me before the game. They'd get twenty three points. I'd say I'd take my chances dolphin defence didn't show up and the reality is we saw one team in the AFC that's trending towards a big Ron and is trending towards the post season. And we sell another team of.

"End over end kick out of the back of the end zone. One hops into the stands, it's a touchback and Mitchell Trubisky and the bears will start first and ten from the twenty five yard line going from left to right. Josh appel. Charles are buckle with you. And Miami at hard rock stadium. Mitchell Trubisky in the first half nine of fourteen eighty nine yards. No touchdowns. No picks. He did have a forty seven yard completion Taylor. Gabriel right before that Jordan Howard fumble at the two yard line. The only score in this game a five yard touchdown from Brock Osweiler to Nick O'Leary dolphins tied in. First and ten for the bears. Twenty-five Trubisky keeps on the read option right side. The thirty five to the middle of the field at eight dives in dolphin territory. The forty five yard line Trubisky showing off the wheels. I was gonna say that make sure he doesn't get in a position where he can run the football because he's good an open field. That was a great run by Mitchell Trubisky starting out baking the ball in the Howard and just working his way outside. You gotta keep contained, and that's the one thing came Smith's spits did not do on that play a twenty eight yard pick up on the first play of the third quarter for Mitchell Trubisky first and ten at the Miami, forty-seven Trubisky and the shotgun with trips left. Jordan Howard, play action for Bisky looking deep to his left grows. Deep down a website Rowan Robinson. Incomplete. Two flags come in make a Fitzpatrick on the coverage. It's going to be pass interference against the dolphins. Allen Robinson did a nice job there. All he did is turn it. Forced mika. Parents number twenty nine. Down to letting Walt Anderson just said, he just he forced the young man, not to turn his head the under throw thereby Trubisky ends up helping out rob is it did because Robinson sees the Wiley bet he knows he's in his fifth year. Mika Fitzpatrick you get Bretton like that you're worried about not being able to make that play. So what's the defender in that spot supposed to do? He can't do anything. I do anything. He stuck like Chuck. So that's one of those penalties as a coach that you don't get too hard and the player about. I intend for the fifteen after the thirty four yard penalty. We've had a twenty eight yard run on a thirty four yard penalty. In three plays on this drive for the bears. I attended the fifteen Trubisky off play acting roles to his right. Looking throws back to his left across his body. It's caught by Tarik Cohen twelve that is brought down by the ankles by McMillan. The nine yard line. A gain of six that's up second down at four. If they don't score here if they only hold onto a field goal. That was a huge play rake Juan McMillan because everything was working one. Way Trubisky sees to recall and there was nowhere for him to throw but back to the backside by the way Jonathan excuse me. I thought Jonathan wooded was back in the game is actually Cam Malveaux where seventy seventy-five wooded wears number seventy six second in four from benign. So this in the shotgun. Fake the pitch left. Mitch's it out the med all and diving into the end zone is Trey burn for us bears. Touchdown from nine yards. Outlet will go is a passing touchdown from her biscuit a burden. It's Burton's third touchdown of the year. And the bears are an extra point away from tying up the ball game with thirteen twenty three to go in the third quarter. Great athleticism by the h back tight end guy. Trey Burton you did this collagen doing that on the next level. I love when coaches give you the ability to understand what a guy can do. You put them in that position. Great job by Trubisky bird. The crowd hasn't even return to their seats from the concourses at halftime. And the bears have already gotten on the scoreboard. Here's Cody parkey, the former dolphin on for the extra point. Here's kick is up and it's good and we're tied seven seven early in the third quarter a three play seventy five yard drive, just a minute and a half off the clock a nine yard touchdown from. Robiskie to Trey Burke. You're listening to the National Football League on sports USA lender. Hiring..

"It's the full week four across the National Football League. And it was not a happy week four for a good majority of us since JJ after dark judges Jansky guiding yesterday overnight right here on the fan. Get aboard. Eight seven seven thirty seven sixty six sixty six the giants if they would have lost this game in shootout fashion. If they would have lost this game and the offense was home and ride along. And they didn't have an answer for drew Brees. And they didn't have an answer for Michael Thomas. I think it would have been a lot easier to digest. Because the saints have elite level talent on that side of the ball. But when you watch this game on Sunday. Didn't many of you even though the giants did beat themselves on a variety of occasions. The fumble gaughman killer not being prepared on the fake punt killer. Couple of key penalties that really hurt them. All that is true. But did defense hung in. I can't come on the air and say yeah, giant defense originally losses game. I'm going to do it. I suspect a lot more out of the giant offense. Now with the giants offensively as embarrassing and as pathetic as they were what? We against Cowboys not wasn't to that level. But it wasn't caused to what we saw we three against the Texas. Issues here. And I'd been critical on the line. Everybody has been critical on Eli manning. Now did he have a terrible game on Sunday. No. Did he have a great game on Sunday? No, no. He did not have great game through a couple of points that could have been made that were made when he had time to try to make some place. Yes. Does the times winning did have Donna throw? You didn't make play. But I think this is scheme issue right now. The giants running the takin dunks. The giants wanted seventy yard routes. They've to take advantage of some down field throwing. And I know what this offensive line a KP Eli manning taking a seven step drought. Rohingya lamenting out showing some form of creativity. Seeing some of the elements. We saw last week against the Houston Texans. Let's see more of it. Sooner or later, you've gotta keep. Defense and saint's feast Davenport was faced a lot of always feasted running all over the field and. What is going to make Sunday hurt is that your defense gave me a chance after I drive of the game. The giant fence gave you an out giving up. Mike johnson. What's up, Mike? Hey do lie. What's good? Geno. Washington jet skiing. But let's see the Cheshire broadcast booth was one of the worst experience was wrong about that L. Listen, I'm a broadcast. I know it's very subjective. There are people who really enjoy my show there. People can't stand me and that comes with the territory, and if you don't like it don't get in the business don't be in the business, but Mike I'm one of these guys that's very much like an NFL broadcast junkie. Like, I always like to know who's doing the games. I'm always a big fan of certain guys. I'm not too keen on other guys DAT. Broadcast on Sunday wanted to make is plead for you. In the light of the century texts me. Oh what I sent? You a comment about Jeff Fisher? It was it was something along the lines of thank God. I don't have to listen a much more than the only reason I'm eliciting is because that is the jet game. Is there I bike? I said if this wasn't the jets who's any other game. I would have muted it by now. It was tough to take. So what else you got? The time management is one for like. Poking the ball with four minutes and thirty four seconds or four minutes. Twenty five seconds down to score. It's an embarrassment might. There's no other way around it that is embarrassing football. That is gutless football that is cruelest football. And we have seen it. How many times from Todd Bowles over the years? And that's why when I did this and why on Sunday I wanted our guy says to have that as the payroll because I was losing my mind watching that game. Listen, the jets were not going to win that game. Anyway. But there is a way you go about trying to win and you're down twelve. And. I mean, how many jet fans watching that game wanted to throw the beer at the television set watching it I would've through through a couple of days gone. I'm playing field goal. Religious. Especially it would have been down three scores myself. Like, why would you not go for it? Into down by twenty two point field goal down ninety three school who's telling him. This is the sport play to do right now They been doing. has been doing this. Ah every time. I see that. Every reminding you play to win the game. And that just seemed like he was reading the white flag and. From the jets. That's the problem. Like, you could maybe understand certain situations. Like that if it's a first year head coach Shany's learning on the job and those mistakes are going to happen. Okay. Todd Bowles has been here. Fifteenth sixteenth seventeenth eighteenth since fourth year coaching this team. And yet I can find you four or five different examples where not knowing what to do as far as going forward kicking a field goal. Punting the ball way continues to haunt his team. And it's coaching scared. And it's gutless no other way around it. It's absolutely positively jealous and watching the Tennessee game and seeing Mike Raval take out the go for the win. I was thinking about it. If it was Todd Bowles Hugo for that field. Go go for that time. Get the ball back and maybe get the game. And I'm thinking to myself. This is what kind of coach. He first of all he's supposed to be innovative or defense, defense stinks and it defense. Thanks. That's a great point though. Mike watching Mike variable, and it's funny. A buddy of mine one of my really good buddies big Tennessee titans fan, and he said, you know, JJ this is one of the first years. I feel like I'm watching the Tennessee titans. And they have some balls. I mean, really that's what it takes to be quote. My team has that sort of it factor, and you watch the jets they don't have that sort of element. They just don't and we saw two examples of what too late and game when it comes to going for the jugular going for the win. When your any opponent's territory and variable point beautifully taken on the Philadelphia Eagles even other will lose in a game. We saw another one where my mind is still blown and my wallet is a little fatter. Thanks to what Frank Reich decided to do. Any Indianapolis Houston game. So when cash and at some point. And it was a nice week from eight four one by the way when I get a chance to cash in. I guess I gotta send like a ten percent royalty to Frank Reich for one of the worst coaching decisions that you will see in two thousand eight hundred and we'll get to that. When we run around the week. But yeah, Mike variable is it toughness. There's a look there's a feel about the Tennessee titans. Is not there for the New York chess. I said the poughkeepsie John joins us. What's up, Johnny? JD? Our you John I'm the well what's in the draft. Where giants second behind buffalo next year. You think they'll take a quarterback? Now, my share of sound that look I don't know if the giants are going to be picking to I'm not willing to go that far. You know, where I stand on this John? I don't want to go down this road. Again. I don't wanna do this anytime. The giants lose a game where I go on my high horse and tell you you should have taken a quarterback over Barkley, and I'm gonna stand by that opinion till the cows come home. But I don't think today's the day to bring that up. What I'm going to do the John is look at this team and say, okay, this is the roster. They have why aren't they getting more out of this offense? And I can look at the coach in this scheme. I can look at the offense of line, and I can look at the quarterback, and I could say to all of them had guess what we all need to do a better job for sure. But it's only give nature you realize one everything he's not put his body out on the ground like other quarterbacks still. It's a great job for us. They run to death. But after teachable, he's not going to go the extra dive. That's the line. I wouldn't look at it that way, I just think it comes down to the fact that you're not gonna have a quarterback moving and shaking and run around you. I'm not going to do that. And to be honest with the way, this giant offensive line is Bill they might be better suited. If they had a quarterback who had that sort of skill set. They don't they weren't bringing in Baker Mayfield. That have a chance to get. That could add San Donald the Josh Rosen. And it's amazing. I don't want to bring it up. You brought it to my attention. I'm sure the giant guys doing the games. Don't want to bring it up. Tony Romo is talking about it during the broadcast. It was like look saquon is gonna help be ly manning saquon is a tremendous talent. But it is hard to pass up. A quarterback with that sort of high ceiling when you have a chance to come. It's very tough to Dell. That's why Felicia wanted three you take saquon Barkley to you better be better than what you want offense right now. Jazz team lacking creativity. Can make big plays. Losing sight of their highest paid wide receiver that sport has to offer him Beckham. Not a good sign for games in. And the bad news for the giants. Don't get any easier. Carolina on Sunday. Panther team coming off a bye, then they host the eagles short week on a Thursday night. Lanta? And I gotta deal with that offense on a Monday night. And then they take on the Washington Redskins. Finding the game of those four. The giants need to be as I told you guys over the weekend. They need to be three and four. Going into the second half the three and four they make adjustments. They get better they grow as an offense. They can make a run and the best news for the giants. The NFC east is going to be raised to ten. The eagles. Counted? I don't think there is good as they were a year ago. I don't expect Philadelphia have Gordy went from a lot of teams that won the Super Bowl that team is going to be New England where they come back and they went fourteen following year. Doesn't usually happen said queens, good pal. Allen who I'm sure it's very much down in the dumps what's up balance JJ before we get into that disaster. The met thing last night was unbelievable. It was an amazing tribute today to David Wright wrong about that. They did right by their captain. It was great for the fans to see. You see him at third base gets bads. Get steel believable standing ovation. You would've liked to have seen a little more from David Wright? Put a rallied with the body being the way that it is the fact that he's not that comfortable at this point is career at third base. They didn't want to push the envelope. And that's fine. Good moment for the Mets. And it's amazing. Alan you have that moment. And then you just waiting for the game, David Wright speak. Nobody cared about. What was going to happen with the Marlins? Like, all right. Let's. The best call was money went into the booth. And and keep demand is told them keeping his told them you could have played on the eighty six team. He goes, but you wouldn't have bad. You wouldn't have bad at third on that team. Which was so funny. But is typical key that at least you had that to cheer you up here over the weekend, right pal. Oh my God. Now, let's get to that disaster. JJ? What is it? They go to they go to New England. It's like DC goes to whole different team. You ain't kidding. And we have seen this down with the Miami Dolphins Allen for basically seventeen years and New England has had the trouble when they go down to south Florida. But when Miami goes up to New England, it seems like things snow ball. It seems like things avalanche and just get completely out of control..

"If you're a Yankee fan thinking about what the lineup could walk like as a whole without data gory is you know, you're going to be missing one of your best players. You know, you're going to be missing one of the most coach players. I think you have to potential options to how you would shake it up. You could say all right. We're gonna keep clever to raise where he is the second base, and we're gonna go with defense. So we're gonna value defensive shortstop and play Danny hatch. Who could go down that road? Or you could do what you did a couple of weeks ago. You move going Pretoria's over the shortstop and you're asking Neil Walker. The move back to second base, Inglewood voided. I Walker at second as short if I to tell you backing. Late March that the Yankees in a wildcard game could have tours at short Walker is second and void at first. What? Maybe you could have believed the idea Walker because Yankees brought them in. Glorious. No, Greg bird. Hard to believe. Now, burn forget it Burstein is going to be on the postseason roster. But I think they're going to be a lot of uneasy Yankee fans over this next week the series. They have in Tampa, which you know, will not be easy three against the Red Sox for the chance to play spoiler the schedule. And now with this black cloud hovering around the team. I haven't days. You Mark my words they will not get to a World Series series. It didn't gregorious is. Inactive the rest of the way. We had to Florida. I'm sure he's all fired up about his young quarterback who is Studly in that second half Funke tau. Larry what's up, Larry? Vested a business. Barry fought through college shaken baby. Oh, yeah. That was a thing of beauty on Thursday night. Larry, I was thinking of you and full disclosure. I liked the jets plus the three and a half and appoint them. I did. But you gonna like this watching the game. I got a juicy number on the Browns live line. When Baker Mayfield went into the game. And you know, what a big Baker Mayfield fan. I am you know, how down I was on watching tyrod Taylor. I two weeks. I said, you know, what I could get a nice middle here. Let me up the any. I'm gonna take the brownies, and I believe they were plus eight and a half of the game. So Larry, I was all board. The Bank is saying right then and there good call good. Call. And it's amazing that Larry because you would look at next week's schedule and the Browns and the raiders would be one of the more unappealing games. If tyrod Taylor is a quarterback right now four clock. Baker Mayfield on the center. I can't wait to watch the spread right now. I have not seen the raiders of probably like a four and a half point favorite. I'll double check for you. Not all the opening lines route quite yet. Subject to change gut tells me, I'm guessing this line seen this line. I'm going to say that the Browns are a four and a half point favorite in Oakland. Favorite? No, no, no. They're talking. Four and a half point favorite. I'm wrong on this line, by the way, this is from Todd Furman who does this show on f s one new gambling show. They have right. The Oakland Raiders a two point favorite against the LeBron's. That's more. Like, it they go. Hey, and all you gotta Do Son is up to five three game lead. Larry that'd be sweet it would be more than sweet. Would be this sort of victory. That would have this idiot sitting there saying himself. Maybe just maybe that dolphins can win the AFC east and don't get me wrong. Larry I am thrilled with two three no start. I love the way. The dolphins have utilized the selfish. They got all sorts of speed, grand flies, Albert Wilson flies. Kenny stills plays grand guy was he is a rookie. No. He's been on the team now. And this is third year. He had primarily been a special teams gal. Turned pink chick. What was it a couple of years ago or a year a big special teams contribution two years ago? Last year though, he came on down the stretch. He caught a big touchdown in the Monday night game against New England made a couple of big plays against the chiefs. And this way he give the dolphins credit. Larry wedge resist. But the dolphins knew what they had in grant. They got Alpert Wilson. And you know, what that dynamic on the fence? It's fall better without Jarvis Landry. Root for Tampa Bay to put Pittsburgh oh tour one or you ain't kidding about that Larry for different reasons. Obviously thinking about wild core possibilities whence dolphins go to three and you start dreaming about that sort of thing. But I think anybody on this radio show has been a part of it listens to causes locked in throughout the summer. They know that I'm invested in the ravens to win the division. So if you want that to happen, you want the Steelers two were the favorite to lose as much as possible, I hear it. So that's the idea. Larry, yes, we will be invested. We will be reading like crazy for fits magic. And a bucket is to get three now. Eight seven seven three thirty seven sixty six sixty six I know this guy is going to be all fired up bucket pal? Al and queens. What's up Allen AJ? Jay what's going on Allan three? Oh, baby. It's awfully sweet, isn't it? Yeah. I was in that fan. Then the medal and said, I was pretty good. Good place. I enjoyed it. Very cool. Yeah. It was good. I called you the other day, and I told you that. You know grant, he could be the next tyreek hill, you know. They had to use them on. And they're starting to use them. All well, the speed for the dolphins has been off the charts. And that to me was one of my big takeaways watching this comeback in the second half, the raiders could not handle Wilson grant that trickery in which the dolphins utilize that beautiful option pass the Phillies special band of field. Alan, it's amazing those plays when you see them and they blow up and they fail. Miserably? You're watching a game saying what the hell were they thinking? Why would they try to use this play and run this point? They do work out. Dale like, the most exhilarating poised to watch. I'm watching the game. I'm running up and down. I'm in the compound going crazy. I mean, I I was like Kennedy still watching and it was beautiful. They devante Parker came back. Guilty. Got some balls today. What happens is on the move walk the dolphins alike years past there, and Al fence that spread the wealth. And I think it's one of the main reasons why they're off to a three, and it's not just about one guy dominating the touches or dominating the works. You got a bunch of high quality players touching the ball stills sickie, amendola Wilson grant, you're on the way the ball's going, and you know, what? Alan devante, pork has been a disappointment coming out of war Ville, he made a big play the dolphins down ten points in this game day came right back down the field. Tannahill hit him for like a forty five yard pass eight led to the scoring drive that cut it to three big game that will get absolutely overlooked. But it was a big the next three weeks. So New England. Cincinnati and the bed. So let's get to three it does not really happy. Listen, I the dolphins Allen you three zero to start this year. You got a lot of reasons to be out the mystic now brain does not mean you're going to the playoffs. I mean, all of a sudden now you're gonna contend and compete with the New England Patriots. What it gives you a little bit of a cushion and the dolphins. Now, two very tough back to back road gifts. They've got New England coming off back tobacco losses. And then they go to Cincinnati. With those games you four one you're in great shape. And you got the bears the lions at home, and you go from there. Reasons to be optimistic three now. But again won't let it go said to mount Kisco Vinnie. Jones says video on the fat JJ and other good show. I appreciate that. Thank you. Key points. I can you know with D out. It's time for Gary Sanchez to pick it up. He must start doing better at the plate. You gotta hit today. But he's got he's got he's got to keep hitting. And another thing this kid this kid and Doha. He hasn't been in a slump all season. He's a three hundred DVD for a rookie, but forty three doubles low. And the other thing is I still want to not gonna stop that wildcard game. I totally agree Tanakh as the guy in a big game. I trust Tanakh is a guy believe in a big spot. I'm not gonna let that red sock performance when he was office game influenced by opinion when he's been the Yankees best starter in the second half of the year. And you're absolutely right about and do Har and do had a fantastic rookie year to me. He is the American League rookie the year. He's had so many big heads. Ball jump self is bat line jive doubles machine. I mean, look and forty three doubles this year and do horse got twenty five homers. This shares got eighty five or be is no doubt in my mind. He's a keeper. And he's a guy that I think it's going to be a part of the fabric of the Yankees for a long time and do our and Torres and you're right about Gary Sanchez now some of the question what Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone. We're doing over the weekend. When basically they came out and said, it does not matter. What we see over the final week and a half. Or asked who is going to start the wildcard game buying a play. Will there be any dilemma to who is starting to wildcard game behind the plate? And I told you. Gary Sanchez is. Yankees doubling and tripling down on Sanchez. And as I've said on this show over and over again because the Yankees much like I do realize the fact that if they don't get this guy going, and they don't get him. Right. They're not going to win the World Series. What are you gonna play? Danny had you very and Austin role mine and a wildcard game. Are you kidding me? You're gonna have to automatic outs. Can do it. I understand Sanchez will drive you to drink on a plate. Scott. Great arm. Can't catch the ball. I get it. It's not gonna reminding you Johnny bench back down, but Thurman Munson. You hope he get him going over the final week at deed. He's not going to be there. You need him and more never really don't thirty six JJ after dark. John jastremski guiding you through this Monday right here on the fan hate seven seven hundred thirty seven sixty six sixty six we're going to run around the league. We got a lot to get to this stunning game. Minnesota dolphins at three and what's wrong with the patriots. And the Rams the team that beat.
