"Well, we know what the protocol is, right? The decision rests with the team doctor. This is not the end. There's no independent doctor, FIFA doesn't get to decide how somebody feels. Even the length of the assessment, I am probably no, I am not a brain surgeon. I am not a neurologist. But from what I read from what the advice is, it takes a good 15 minutes to go and properly assess somebody. And you're not going to do that during a game. Hence why people talked about temporary substitutions and whatnot. If you leave it up to the teams, you leave it up to the teams. You're putting it on a Doctor Who is employed by a federation who is. Put a natural conflict of interest. But then who you want to leave it to. Okay. Do you want to ask, do you want FIFA to appoint doctor dolittle to go and look at somebody and take upon himself the position? Well, you may be fine, but there's lots of plates safe because, you know, let's take a look. Maybe infantino can say today, I feel like a doctor and do it himself. Yeah. I feel concussed. Yeah, I don't know that I don't know that there is a good way to do it, even the temporary substitution aspect, especially when it concerns a goalkeeper. The goalkeeper comes off for 15 minutes, another guy comes in cold, you know, that's a tricky one. It's almost easier for an outfield player. So the only thing I'll just add very quickly, like I before entering this world of sports media, I was a youth coach for a very long time. And the problem that you have is that this kind of situation that you see in a World Cup match is a ripple effect all over down to young players and young coaches and parents, et cetera, et cetera. There is a lot of misinformation and lack of knowledge when it comes to concussion protocols. And you can't just, you know, shake it off. There's multiple multiple concussion symptoms that happen during a course, whether it takes 15 minutes or less is another thing. The point being is like, I think, at this point, and it's not just the World Cup. I mean, I had an issue watching Aston Villa against Newcastle and emiliano Martinez should have come off. He didn't. You know what I mean? There's a lot of misinformation and lack of knowledge on what a concussion symptom is. Just one, just one should take you away because it's saying you may have a concussion. And that's not happening right now. It's completely being belittled, I think. But then do you want a club Doctor Who is paid for by the club to go and make that decision? But yes, we remember. Because I'm old, I forget if it was 2014 or 2018, but Uruguay, I think it was Pereira or on about Oreos. The guy was out. And the Argentine doctor Uruguayan doctor comes in and looks at him like slaps him around the face a couple times. And he keeps playing. That's what his Uruguayan to be fact. But even today we saw one of the Iranian players just squirting the water on his goalkeepers. Yeah, they get wake up, get over it. Let's go. But then we have to be sure. Are we sure that he receives a knock to the head? Are we sure that the wind was knocked out of? You know what I'm saying? Like, I was watching on television. We're also not a 100% sure. It's a really tough one. I'm comfortable. I know doctors take a Hippocratic oath and whatever. It is a lot to deal with. We put a lot of faith in those people with white coats and fancy degrees or study for many, many years, that they are going to take the right ethical decision in it. There's a bunch of people write books about this stuff all the time, right? Medical ethics and how do you decide in the moment in an emergency situation in front of 70,000 people, the eyes of a nation on you? I don't know. That is so far above my pay grade. I'm not waiting to get into that. I'm going to let the experts go straight that one out. All right, well, we'll let you go and get some downtime gap because we know you're busy. You're going to have to cover all those games. Wait, wait, wait. What the? Holland and Senegal kick off and in a few minutes. So we'll be talking about that game a little later on as well. But thanks so much for being with us. My pleasure, take care everybody. All right, what can we ended on? Who's your stand up today for England then Luis? Yeah, let's end it on a high camera. Let's talk about it from an England perspective. I mean, this was a very good win and emphatic win the second biggest at the World Cup for all the issues that have happened before. Now is their first three points of this tournament. I mean, it's got to be, I think, honestly, it's kind of a cop out, but Jude Bellingham to me would be my number one focus because it wasn't just to go, it was the way that he produced throughout the entire game. I mean, that Raheem Sterling go was pretty much thanks to him after bukayo saka was injured, battling and picked up the ball, delivered it to Kane, Kane assist. He was everywhere today. And for him to be 19 years old, and enter a tournament like this and just make a significant mark on the game, it's pretty amazing. But take nothing away from the overall squad. This was a very good performance, and happy days for England. Happy days for England right now. We'll see how things are going forward and we'll be back with you a little later after U.S. game against wells will also look back on Senegal against Netherlands then too. It is a big day of action and we can't wait to talk about it all. Make sure you are with us for it here on ESPN FC daily on YouTube.

"Everything went wrong when a Japanese trawler spotted the task force as it approached the Japanese home islands, the aircraft had to launch. 12 hours earlier than they had planned to and they had to launch several hundred miles earlier than they expected and what that led to then was that the aircraft where I'm not able to complete the mission in the way that was planned, meaning that they would fly onward and just after dawn they would land at airfields in a safe zone in China. That didn't happen. All of the aircraft were out of position coming in over China during the pre dawn hours rather than after dawn. They also three in Japan now before they got to China or the all 16 aircraft weren't hitting one target. So the 16 aircraft went to different targets. I misunderstood. And then they would continue onward to the basis in China where they would land. And of course, because of the disruption that was associated with this trawler spotting them earlier. They had to take off earlier, they had to therefore come in over China before dawn and in the pre dawn darkness, they had to try to figure out a way to a place to put down. None of the aircraft landed safely, obviously, aside from one of which experienced engine trouble and diverted and landed it of Vladivostok in the Soviet Union. The aircraft and the crew were then interred by the Soviets in an effort to maintain Soviet neutrality against the Japanese, and that neutrality was an a treaty obligation from something that had happened in 1937. We can talk about that much time, but nevertheless, 15 of the aircraft continued on to China, they ditched even colonel dolittle's aircraft, had to ditch and colonel dolittle himself survived. You had some men that did not survive the ditching. Yet some men that were captured and men that were placed on trial meant that were captured by the Japanese police trial, and there were executions of some of the duke raiders. The result of the dolittle raid was nothing like what was depicted in the movie. There I said it again. And that what the movie does is it's Michael Bay's idea of everything because in Michael Bay's mind every explosion is a gas explosion that lives 300 feet into the air.

Number two, a new era of wonder begins, Wonder Woman, 1984. Not very well reviewed. I never watched it myself, but I love the first Wonder Woman. That's what everybody said, and then the second one they said, not so good. Number three, loyal brave true, Mulan. Mulan, which was a Disney+ exclusive, I think, at the time. I don't think that one was actually in theaters when the theaters were closed. Number three, Mulan. Number four, Bond is back. The last James Bond movie, No Time to Die. No Time to Die. "This is a special Bloomberg market simulcast on Bloomberg television and radio. We welcome all of our audiences across all of our platforms. We're going to be here every day this week, of course, counting you through all of the action on a day to today basis, looking back as well at 2021. Looking ahead to 2022, Romain bostic gear alongside Paul swinney and Paul, we gotta start off here. It's a mixed bag in the markets, but another milestone here for the S&P 500 at one point today ticking above 4800 for the first time ever. Yeah, I saw that. That got my attention. I like the nice round numbers. Yeah, we love them. Yeah, and the Dow Jones were 36,480, so it kind of move in higher there up about 5 tenths of 1% there on the Dow. NASDAQ lagging a little bit here just selling off about one tenth to 1% on the NASDAQ. But generally, when you talk about the Santa rally, we got off to a pretty good start yesterday. So we'll see how it plays out, but there's a lot of cross currents out there, remain as you well know, was relate to the variants and news coming out of the CDC. So lots to kind of stay on top of here. Yeah, we're going to talk about that. Of course, another light volume as you would expect on a week like this, which is effectively a holiday week for most people. For most people, not us, but we're still here with you also still with us as Abigail dolittle who's keeping an eye on what's been going on in the market Abigail. What have you been watching? Well, you know these mixed markets that you just were both talking about on the open. We had some solid green and then it really gave way to these mixed moves and tech is lower. And on the open actually tech was lower two after initially opening higher the chip sector, the socks currently down 1%, it put in an all time high.

"Hasn't got as much attention to that should just what they've been able to do in terms of top down. I mean, Vladimir Gutierrez and some of the even those Younger named Tony Santana. Just having success at the big League levels of rookies and you know, if you if you can develop pitching, you're going to have success at the Big League Noble for a long time. The roster news today. TJ Antone activated Sean Doolittle is did fade your reaction to Sean being the odd man out. Yeah, I mean, it's tough for him just because it seemed like he was showing signs that he's pitching better. His velocity was up to 97 recently. But it's one of the things that the problem with the nine man bullpen is. There's going to be guys left out. You know, he's just really didn't have a consistent role only pitch four times this month. I'm here, Garrett. I mean, he's kind of the When he's going well. He's as good as the left as you can have an hand pitched in 11 days, so I think it's one of those things where the nine man bullpen was starting to catch up with them, Um and you just had to make a move and it speaks to Tony said Tian. If they could have optioned him to the minor leagues, kept too little and then brought back Santy in in September, with the rosters spent, 20 declared the 28. But it said they showed how important this week is keeping their town and Bloody Nipsey in the bunker. Bobby with options like Max Rock, Alejo Lopez and R. N. C. R to Triple A. Are you surprised? They're sticking with the nine man bullpen and going a man short on the bench? Little bit. I mean, I think it's just part of where their roster is. I mean, if you get rid of any reliever they have right now, except for T. J and so then of those guys have options, so you're going to have to designated for assignment. That people will make the point like those guys to a lot of those guys have struggled at times this year. What's the big deal? But those guys are going to get claimed teeth every did not last very far on a waiver wire. Chuck Dolittle get picked up pretty quick. I would be surprised if Michael Police got picked up pretty quick. When he got designated the first time, and I mean, there seems like the Dodgers were disclaiming everyone they can because you need pitching depth, especially for September. You know if injuries start to happen, say two or three guys get hurt in your bullpen. Don't have traits that you can get these guys back. So that's kind of the fear is trying to get rid of these guys that I think that spent the core reason why they accepted that man bullpen. Um and but I think in a perfect world, they go back down to eight and Have the extra guy off the bench. Last question. Been great with your time Does that does this third base thing of Suarez Moose continue or does does the left side of some combination of Barreiro and farmer enter the equation at some point I think they're still going to bride Moustakas and four to see how long they get. I mean, I know you'll get to a certain point where it's like you have to wait gave these guys have to produce. You relegate either of those guys the bench full time. You know you're losing a Are basically the rest of the season. I mean, that's hard to come back from to establish guys. Two guys who have done it their whole career that a lot of power on your bench, obviously, but, uh, you know, Jose Barreiro. He's a fantastic defense, the short stuff they need to give him. I think more opportunities, try to get him in the lineup more, but it's one of those things that they get. The stock at your store is going offensively. I think that brings the bigger impact your lineup than putting Guerrero in somewhere. Hey, we're getting close to game time. There was news this afternoon that you had to write about. It means a lot. You grab the phone for a few minutes. Thank you. Yeah, happy to do it. He's Bobby Nightingale from the inquiries on Twitter at Nightingale Junior as well. We'll take a time out and continue. Let me pose the question. I posed as part of the conversation with Bobby. And that's the future of one. David Bell. Uh, contract up at the end of the year and option there to pick up. It hasn't been picked up. Do you pick up the option right now? Do you offer him a multiyear deal right now? Do you wait and see Do you simply hold it in the back your pockets say we're going to move on at the end of the year. We'll get into that as we continue. But let's check news Bottom of the R. I have no confidence that it would work. There's no way that I'd be in a controlled lab environment and then I'd be able to prove that I have to say I kind of don't want to be the psychic detectives that finds the clues because I don't trust disability at all. It is a happenstance and kind of a well that was cute and amusing that I knew there was a turkey there were some but but you know what I mean? Just like I said it's humbling to be sceptics, sceptics skeptic and yet I got this little weirdness. Yeah about well you know I understand I don't wonder, you know with all the science all the big brain thinking stuff, they're still wonder that you can enjoy, what I do with animals. I'm not just like how you doing buddy and talking to him. There's something where I think I'm trying to project, we're path. I'm your friend, you know what I mean? You know, let's let's go for a run together or something like that and it's, you know, like I said, there's no magic. There's nothing that's going on like that, but I I think much more would account for it would be, especially dogs and cats. He was on fox news and all that stuff is right. So i live in county that never as enforced it. Like we've never had mask and in iron county utah never and so It was it was kind of a shock. Every time i even just even just flying out here ask them. Oh i hate it. I don't understand it so so on versus non at the other one's called. There's all these tests you have to do. And so i just gotta test right right. I wasn't good enough. It was good enough to get me out of salt lake but once. Lax and then we were boarding for To go to europe they said well. You've got the energy not the p. c. m. or whatever it's called Well okay educate makers uneven. We probably ought to get so we can get out of here so it was good solid forty hours to get. There missed out flight in order to go test test. Each by the way In the airport to catch the next flight so maybe it was cool about it. Yeah they have the rules him At how annoying. I mean 'cause. I actually just heard a story this morning about you know some people flying over to hawaii and and they don't have the right test and i'm sorry you either have to quarantine a hotel or yeah quarantined early. Get a new test or something. Yeah yeah exactly. Like oh yeah or fly back forced to be fly back and get so so you get over here. What's on the menu. Because here's what it in africa in my mind when i hear it. Here's what pops up so walk into a mcdonalds. I look up at the menu. And i'll say well i'll have a number one number two supersize you'd definitely supersize every single one of those That's how i envision is like a menu that you go and you're either driving around or something like oh that's a really big one. It'll set you about x. Amount of dollars go for it. Yeah so unlike the us you eat a little bit of that is totally true You have to. Us you've got to have a tag right draw. Sometimes in twenty years yet away to draw something over there because they all manage their own game units They have a pricing. Of course you have to still hunt them so you have a pricing. So let's say wildebeest thousand bucks or apollo tuner or five hundred dollars whatever. It is right and It doesn't mean that you show. There's impala tied to a tree just right. Yeah so but what they say is an in this area. Let's say this twenty thousand acres. There's you know these twelve animals and each one of these animals as a price associated with it and if you choose to shoot one you draw blood from one at all. Then you'll pay that price Even if you don't recover the animal so and you've got to be pretty dialed in your want to be. Yeah you don't wanna go over there and and mess wing it. Yeah it yeah exactly. So so i had a had. A the kids are kids. The young man yes along are are pretty dialed in shooting. Obviously there my kids. I pretty good at a time. I mean that's how they grew up. Yeah so we Dolittle finish work on their on their rifle and Part of what i did you have to. You have to kind of cater the hunt toward a couple of major things in anything big five you have to cater the hunt toward that. He had to say what's the centerpiece of that haunted. It's going to be if it's cape buffalo is going to be on hunt or if say lion or something like that so you have to make that the centerpiece. Everything else's is just fun and excitement after you get that big animal. Okay and so Black death you mentioned earlier. That's cape buffalo and I said well we're just gonna go after cape buffalos. See if i can get my teenagers. Teenagers on on a buff like home and ruin. Alder north american hunts from now on. Why you gotta room so young kids that go out and shoot a two hundred inch white telling it's like oh you started out way too high like start out with that spike or something. Yeah yeah exactly with a two year old eight point but you go after one of the big five yes right and gosh i tell them just give them an idea of how nasty these creatures heart so they they have a reputation have for a long time The really are called black death and there really are a part of the dangerous. You know big five a dangerous seven whatever you wanna call all the lists them on their They get they can soak up a lot of lead If you don't hit him right the first time and they don't like to stop they literally keep coming even after their hearts gone and stuff. Yeah they get mad and they get ticked. They'd i've also seen them. Just drop round round the spot. I mean the biggest one really taken is literally just a hit with four five eight lot and it just it dropped right in. His tracks was was over just like that. I mean you didn't move one step but Ab- also i've also seen the opposite now. coming to coming shortly folks is the story. I swear we're getting to it. We got to get this buildup alloway but but they are vile creatures and they don't. They're not go hide. They are very much like stand their ground Like this is the line drawn in the sand. You cross it and you could tell you can tell. Yeah they'll they'll start Start p and on the as a running and it's literally lily turn pissed off. That's where it comes from getting mad and they're getting ready to to turn that silly. It's yeah so like when you go and you start seeing pee on the trail. It's josie poop on the trail. That's like flung. Yeah it's as a running their their clearing themselves out getting for a final charge like like a bird when it takes flight and it'll poop yeah it's the same thing they'll just. They're they're getting ready. They're gonna turn and seen it before a couple of times. We're trying to run. This heard a few years ago. And there's seventy off in front of us and they're also into p like use need to back off and got lunch like we're push them. Yeah because what happens is Some young young buckle wanna make its name and you have to shoot it with charges you. There's your ears if you can solve him so there's always that i just man i'm just i'm sitting here trying to get myself in the mindset of.

Hey, how you doing? Doing good. How about you? Right? Reason I call it a while back. I read this neat of book by Aaron Ross. And you've called Be between a rock and a hard place. It was best. His adventure in the canyon lands in the out West. The thing to take away from the book, even though it was a really good really Don't going to re read it again was he made the mistake of being like a salt adventurer, and he had opportunities to tell somebody where he was going when he was expected to be back. We hadn't done it, and it ends up costing, costing him his right arm and hand. Well, you've read the book. No, I haven't. But that's always a good idea to let people know where you are. Yeah, Absolutely. Especially. You're by yourself. You don't usually do it. Well, if you don't usually do it, you're not going to do it, But you should do it. Let's put it that way. Robin always goes. Ryan. So especially when I'm hunting. I mean, when I'm hunting, you know where I'm at. You know what standard menu? You know the You know the location in that time he was even if you have a communication device you never know for you to be nice. End up breaking it or losing it or get a squirrel scares you. Yeah, that's true. No squirrel didn't scare me. I'll tell you that story, but yeah, that's that's a great That's a great tip it one of custom is his arm that happened. Well, Basically he was doing a technical climb and the rocky he was holding onto went loose and the trapped his hand between it and another rock, and he couldn't put his hand free. Okay? He was out there further seven days. I'm like without water any survived it? Well, yeah, it's an easy read. He's a good writer to look ahead, help writing it, but it's an excellent book. Gotcha. Okay, so good. I appreciate that. Thank you so much. Yeah. Talk to you later. Bye. All right, You have to have a good weekend. It's Dr Bryant up in York, Pennsylvania. How you doing, Brian? All right, Alan. How's it going this morning? I'm well, how about you? I'm still here. Must have done something right? That's right. And I'm working on the second cup of coffee. So I'm getting there. Oh, that's good. That will soon kick in and everything will be everything will be right with the world. Hope so, Yeah, the elixir of life we're talking about castrated squirrels. Okay, That's what we'll talk about. The males don't pass straight to babies. What did they do? Uh, the males, the ones you see, they're not cash credit, The immature male Okay. Okay on they hadn't the testicles haven't dropped, OK? And, uh, But if you if you get one and clean it Now, you look the testicles is still on the inside, okay? All right. Well, that's very interesting. Now they could be, they could be adult size correct. Right outside, So just not don't know. Just not old enough. They're not true. Today was just crap. Right? Right. Well, you know people talk about you know, managing their dear heard and so forth. Well, We? We had some fellas in Queen Anne's County. One fella took this exceptional white tail that they've been watching grow at 3.5 years old, and this doesn't mean a lot to a lot of people, but the antlers were approximately 160 inches. That's a big that's a that's a deer in 3.5 years old. That is quite an animal. They decided to let the deer mature another year. So when it was 4.5 it didn't see it. They don't like to shoot him until they reach 5.5. Because what happens at 5.5? Their bodies are mature. The nutrients stop going into growing the body in the skeletal structure of the deer at 4.5 5.5, Okay, And so all that nutrition goes into the antlers. Well when this animal was harvested In two years. In one year, it gained 40 inches of antler. They found both sheds and 2020 both of more over 90 inches, and then they harvested the deer this year. With a gross score of 204 inches total gross for a typical buck. So that just goes to show you that. You know if if you're a deer hunter, you let the little ones walk. You're not going to get a big one. If you keep shooting little, it's Directly, you know? So explain to a lot of people. Well, if if you go from the skeletal thing, you know, tell him that you know, Once the deer's 5.5 years old, they've stopped growing their body and their skeletal structure cause now that's complete and mature. Nearly place that nutrition can go is into growing those antlers. That's it. No. Unfortunately, people who get so excited that hey, look, I don't do not anybody, you dear. I know, you know, just saying they don't. They don't put all that into the thought process, right? Not that moment cause that deer standing in front of him. And it could be theirs. Yep. And they've been waiting her whole life and he goes to shaking and he can't stand it. That's right. Yep, That's right. It's hard. Hey, look, it's hard to pass up a nice dear. You know, it really is. And and, you know, I pulled the trigger a few times and, you know, look at myself. I go. Why don't do that. You know, I know what's here. Why did I shoot that one happened happened to me last year. 2020 would happen to me last year. Oh, but, you know, Hey, you do get excited. You make a mistake. You think that's the dear you've been after, and it's not so It is what it is, right? Yeah, so anyway, thank you for the call. I appreciate that very informative. Bit of advice. It was good. Yeah. Dolittle: Robert Downey Jr Is Back

"This is a reboot of the do little stories which is of course based on the doctor do little books the last time they did this they had Eddie Murphy playing basically a veterinarian and and you know just a regular American town and it was just he's almost had this magical ability to understand the animals are they do you go back a little bit closer to the source material is a close because I I don't know I don't think it's actually pulling directly out of it but doctor Doolittle played by Robert Downey junior is somebody who study how the animals talk to each other and communicate and so I I like the fact that they do preserve that element of the book where he's speaking the language of whatever they are a mouse or a a tiger or the real or giraffe in this kind of clever it's it's a child adventure and and I I read some of the books when I was a kid so I I remember there were these adventures were sort of this goofy guy was taken all taking these people are along the different faraway lands and and dealing with things so does capture that the the I think the epic scope of doctor Doolittle the movie does seem a little bit rushed here and they're almost like they had some issues with editing in keeping things together but you know kind of like for the family film that that that comes out in January I I thought it was fine to check out all right so how many cables and or bits do we give doctor Doolittle well you know I think I'm going to give it three kibbles and bits together so that's still three out of five
