Lord Conrad Black Shares a Fascinating Canadian Story
"Your impending article, you talk of a Canadian instance. You talk about a certain minister of national defense, general Andrew mcnaughton, and then the long serving premier of Quebec. Will he tell us about this fascinating Canadian story? Well, in April, April 7th, I recall of 1945, a general monotony who had been the Canadian commander in Europe and was a very admired and serious general. He wasn't he wasn't some quarter master doling it that spirit issue a new pairs of socks to people at home. He was a proper combat officer in both world wars. And he was the minister of defense. And he wrote the premier of Quebec warning him that balloons made of and I quote strong paper had been sent off by the Japanese and were designed to descend upon northern Quebec and drop incendiary bombs in the forests of northern Quebec and they might also be used for purposes of bacteriological warfare, but he did reassure the premier of Quebec. This, by the way, was the same premier portrayed in a cameo role in the famous movie, Rosemarie with Nelson and Jeanette McDonald. Premiered your blessing. He assured him that these balloons made of strong paper and carrying incendiary bombs and possibly bacteriological warfare units. We're not carrying soldiers. I mean, why it would possess men of the intelligence of general mcnaughton to tell a serious person like the premier of Quebec that that paper balloons launched from Japan and propelled by the airways did not, whatever else they might be intended to do. Did not carry soldiers. It just sort of astounds me.

Rep. Mike Johnson: Dems Want Illegals to Become Voters
"Why do you think Democrats mostly I'm not going to say not some Republican Democrats mostly just turn to it just looked the other way I mean it fits their children to infect their people It affects their state It affects everything Why do you think they turn away and look the other way 'cause this has been going on for the last over two years under the Biden administration but they have literally just said we don't care If somebody gets raped we don't care if fennel kills somebody We don't care But yet they get away from we have an election People don't make them pay the price Well that's right Sorry for that sound effect in the back I'm in the hallway of the Congress Listen here's the thing In-house judiciary we've had some very revealing hearings over the last couple of years We weren't in control and we couldn't set the agenda but of course participated in the Democrats of the fiasco hearings that they had At one of the hearings and I said you and I have talked about this before essentially the clip A chairman Jerry Nadler he's now the ranking Democrat ranking member of House judiciary He was the chairman when they were in the majority the last two years He admitted in one of the hearings that he would love to see all municipalities in all states around the country do what New York is doing And what is New York doing They have turned illegals into voters They allow illegal aliens who are in New York City to vote in municipal elections They are not the only jurisdiction in some other blue states they've done the same So look I think that that at the end of the day is the only logical explanation I think they wanted to open the floodgates literally open the borders bring all these people in and turn them into voters for the democratic side If they give them enough benefits and they think they can keep them on the Dole that way and that they'll vote against conservatives and Republicans who want to restore Law & Order I mean it sounds like some sort of conspiracy theory but they've admitted it to us on the record So I think that's what's happening I think that's the biggest explanation for it And that's why they will refuse to acknowledge the plain truth that everybody can see We have an open border and it's a disaster

Monica Crowley: Supporting Harmeet Dhillon for RNC Chair
"I've come out publicly in support of harmony Dylan to be the new RNC chair against Ronald mcdaniel. I had to run my podcast last week. We had a fantastic interview. I've known her a little bit over the years and she is just brilliant. She's an attorney. She's an attorney for our causes, which, you know, the Democrats on the left have fleets of lawyers on every cause from elections to the environment to you name it. And our side has a handful. Well, harmeet is one in that handful of lawyers and she actually puts her money where her mouth is. So she will be a consummate fighter for America first. She will be completely responsive and representative of the Republican voting base, which we have not had. I mean, ronna mcdaniel is the lovely person, but she's been in there for 6 years. She does not have a record of success. In fact, the exact opposite. And now what's being exposed between Lee zeldin, who was going to run for RNC chair, but decided against it. But between he and what they're exposing is that the RNC process is just as corrupt as anything we talk about with the Democrats with the political back scratching and the self dealing and all of the money and favors being doled out over the years so that all of these people become locks. Once they get into these positions, we can not attack Joe Biden and the Democrats for this kind of corruption when we've got it on our side. That's number one. And number two, we really need leadership on the GOP side because the hour is very late in America, Todd. And so we need people who understand the nature of the threat that we are facing from within and they're not part of the absolute inherent corruption in this country. We need people who get it and who are not in on it. And that's our meat in my view.

Mitch McConnell Puts the Votes Before Principle
"Me explain that between somebody who's a statesman Who puts principal before votes and eventually the votes will come That's not McConnell McConnell puts the votes before principal And often the votes don't come When Ronald Reagan decided to round in the Republican primary for president I'm not talking about 1968 I'm talking about 1976 Was he a poor candidate He's running against a sitting president who had not been elected but had been selected He was said to be an extremist he used to attack him for his intelligence and he went as an extraordinarily intelligent man and very well read but it didn't matter They mocked him as an actor They claimed he was out of the Republican mainstream Mitch McConnell was on that side With Gerald Ford Charles Ford would go on to lose to Jimmy Carter Reagan decided to run again And among others he faced George H. W. Bush Bob Dole John Anderson the Republican establishment Again we were told ragging couldn't win Reagan couldn't win the people were afraid of him He was not a high quality candidate And again McConnell was on the wrong side Karl rove was on the wrong side

Putting Freedom Back on the Map
"We've been talking about freedom and why freedom is scary. Freedom is scary because it requires responsibility. It requires maintenance. It requires cultivation. I sit here and I was thinking about the polls and there's so many people that I've been donating to and I'm not a rich man. I borrow money from Sean McConnell all the time. So, you know, but I've been trying to Dole out money here and there across the nation, 25 bucks, or 50 bucks here, sometimes as much as a hundred where I can afford it. And actually, I've been stretching beyond sometimes my comfort zone because I believe that freedom is that important. We have an opportunity to win races that we've never stood a chance at. Are we having for quite some time? Lee zeldin in New York. Tiffany smiley. Drazen. All of these names both Doc in New Hampshire. We have opportunities to put freedom back on the map. And I sit here and I think I want to be a part of that. If it's $5, $10. I want to be a part of that. I want to be a part of restoring our conservative values. Are judeo Christian heritage in America because it works and it's best, but if we don't share it, if we don't speak up, how will people know?

What Should We Do About Kevin McCarthy? John Zmirak Weighs In
"You do? I don't know if you know enough about politics. I don't, to know what to suggest. In other words if Kevin McCarthy becomes Speaker of the House, is there anybody who could be a better speaker? Is there a movement to find somebody who's a little bit more of a freedom loving patriot who understands we're facing evil? Either one of my beagles would make a better speaker. I have shoes that would make better speech. But not all my shoes, but several of them. I think probably the Republican Party is run like a sorority. Remember, Bob Dole got to be our presidential candidate because it was his turn. And he waited patiently, and it was his turn. Nobody thought he would win, but it was bob's turn. So bob got to run and got to lose. So I think there needs to be a rebellion within the Republican Party. And they need to purge people like Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy. Ideally, I would like to see them defeated at the polls. I would vote for any Democrat against these people because once a rhino was in office, he never leaves he never leaves. Lindsey Graham will still be senator from South Carolina in 400 years. His mummified body will be will still be holding that sentence. So like a Jeremy bentham. Like Jeremy bentham accept, he will still talk. And he'll still have his head on top of his shoulders. And Lindsay, you have always with you.

Is Herschel Walker in Trouble?
"There is a key part of human nature that and Democrats do it to Bill Clinton was doing terrible things during the actual presidency. And Democrats did not bail on him, and I was certainly doing talk shows at the time. And I said, look, it's human political nature. That when someone who is delivering the policies you want is delivering those policies, there's a large heaping helping of forgiveness, willful blindness sometimes, that will come along with that because I mean, Democrats might, I had Democrat callers, ask me, in 96, this is even pre Monica Lewinsky pre everything. Well, not pre everything. But people knew enough about Bill Clinton and the character issues. And I had Democrat callers call me in the 1996 election and say Mark, what am I supposed to do? Vote for Bob Dole? I had to admit they had a good point. Of course, I would have loved for them to vote for Bob Dole because not enough people did. But the point being, these were Democrat callers, liberal callers. They had a liberal president. They're not going to punt a liberal president because of some peccadilloes.

You Don't Spend Other People's Money
"So back in the day, I started a I used to work for a FedEx. I worked there as a manager and then I just got tired of the hustle and bustle. I decided to start a business at one point I started a janitorial business later on. I added on I started a landscape business and I can remember having one client and landscape business when I first, I mean, this was a long time ago. And this guy was really nice. He was a black gentleman and Christian gentleman. Nice guy. The pig was pretty good. And I can recall doing certain projects for him. My brother and I at the time, my brother worked with me at the time and we were doing some project work for him. And I can remember, I took liberty because of things that he had said, he wanted. I took liberty and going the extra mile. Patting myself on the back, but this was gonna cost him a little bit more. Not much more, but a little bit more. Now I remember him, I was the eager to see his reaction because, I mean, this thing just looked phenomenal. It was a bomb, all this kind of stuff. I did some landscape design, install all this kind of stuff, right? And so I'm thinking, hey man, this guy is going to love this. It didn't really cost a much. He had no problems, doling out the money before. And then I remember his reaction. He came and he looked at it and, you know, he thought it looked nice, but in then his response was, hey man, let me share this with you. Just as this was an older guy speaking to a younger buck at the time. Still went behind the ears. And he said, you know, don't spend other people's money. Don't spend other people's money. This is something that I probably would have gone with down the line, but not right now, because it's not what I budget it for, so don't spend other people's money. Remember that. Never spend other people's money.

Are You Familiar With the SALT Deduction?
"Later in this story he talks about the salt deduction You know what the salt deduction is The state and local tax deduction the state and local tax deduction is a tax deduction blue states benefit from where their wealthy residents don't have to pay basically taxes twice They can deduct their state and local tax bills Now this is basically a tax cut for the upper middle class and wealthy Now just to be clear I'm all for tax cuts all the time I'm not a hypocrite But the Democrats who want to take your money and give it to blue states when the infrastructure Bill and others right They then want to give wealthy residents of those blue states of tax cut Wait the Democrats do I thought you told me the Democrats are for taxes No no no No no no The Democrats are not for tax hikes for the rich The Democrats are for tax cuts for the rich that vote for them and for tax hikes for the rich that don't vote for them Here's the kicker The Democrats voted last year to lift the salt deduction to $80,000 The benefits of which would overwhelmingly flow to the richest residents of these states governed by Democrats They note how many low and middle income workers do you know that have state tax bills reaching $80,000 I'll bet you don't know many I don't know too many So if you're in a wealthy blue state and you're wealthy you get a massive tax cut pushed by the Democrats And then you get more red state money as the infrastructure Bill doles out the cash and the cheese to the blue states that are getting a tax cut for their wealthy residents what we all pay more

Joe Biden Delivers Bizarre Message About Bob Dole and QAnon
"Joe Biden did this bizarre Christmas message where he was trying to explain why things aren't happening the way they should, and he goes in this tangent, this meandering direction saying, well, it's because of QAnon and the extreme elements of the Republican Party. And Donald Trump, feeding the big lie for breakdown of friendly relationships between Republican and Democrat lawmakers. Play cut 6. I did Bob Dole's eulogy today. He asked me in his deathbed whether I would do his eulogy. We're Friends. We disagreed, but we were friends. We used to have an awful lot of that relationship. And there's still insist except that the QAnon and the extreme elements and Republican Party and what Donald Trump keeps sort of seems to me feeding the big lie. It makes it awful hard. And I think most Republicans, there's no thought of Republican Congress, I think would agree. It's a very important quote because basically what Biden is saying is, why is it that I can't get along with establishment Republicans like I did when Bob Dole was in office. And the reason is very clear it's because Republicans hoodwinked their voters and were perfectly fine doing deals with charlatans like you, Joe Biden. Set Republican parties have the Republican Party, at least the base of the party, we're awake now and has nothing to do with QAnon, whatever that is or the big lie. No, it has to do with, you know what? We're not okay with the adventurous endless wars in countries we can't pinpoint on a map. We're not okay with keeping our borders wide open and acting as if that is an act of diversity. And basically there's Joe Biden kind of engaging in some nostalgia saying, I miss when we used to be able to vote to move factories to Wuhan China 97 to nothing. I know those days are actually

Bob Dole, Old Soldier and Stalwart of the Senate, Dies at 98
"Like to note that Bob Dole has died Bob Dole was the Republican candidate for president in 19 96 he was a bona FIDE war hero. Was wounded on the battlefield in Italy, during World War II left for dead. He was heroically trying to save a fallen comrade. Took 39 months to recover from his injuries. Including an entire year and a body cast. This was a guy who was an athlete. And the fact that he lived to be 98 years old. When he was originally given up for dead is just amazing. So served as GOP party chairman, and enjoyed one of the longest ten years in, sent history as a Republican

"I hope that you will. And that you will ask your children and grandchildren to visit veterans memorials across America and to never forget the sacrifice made not just by my generation, but by all those who wear the uniform of our country. After the funeral at the cathedral, the proceedings went on at the World War II memorial. Abdul was critical in getting that memorial created, and it is one of the most glorious parts of the national mall today, and Bob Dole, long after he left the Senate and public life would just sit on a stool. I've seen him there at the World War II memorial. Welcoming veterans by the busloads, off of their tour buses. To salute their service. In addition to his patriotism, and his courage, Bob Dole was well known for his wit. And that too was remembered today. But it made me want you to hear a little bit of the speech he gave when he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Who awarded it to him? Well, it was president Bill Clinton, just two months after Clinton defeated Dole in 1996 in that presidential election. Right before Clinton's second inaugural, he had Bob Dole to The White House and awarded him this highest award that a president can give. And dull, of course, made sure to get in a couple of laughs. Hi, Robert J doll. There's not only swear. Sorry, wrong speech..

"Bob Dole himself wrote at the end of his life, and I quote him, I can not pretend that I have not been a loyal champion of my party. But I've always served my country best when I did so first and foremost as an American. Not only does Dole's passing represent a loss of one of the greatest of the greatest generation, but it is also a loss of an era of American politics. There's nothing in today's words at the funeral that you would recognize as being characteristic of today's political environment. Not that there weren't partisan brawls. There were Bob Dole was at the forefront of many of them. But the total polarization vitriol hatred that is so front and center in the body politic today in America. That just wasn't part of Bob Dole's generation of political leaders. No matter who was speaking about Bob Dole today, it was clear that he represented something that is far too rare in American politics today, and part of that is about all he gave to this country. I mean, this World War II veteran, who nearly lost his life in Italy, trying to defeat fascism and nazism. Who couldn't move his right arm for the remainder of his life after the war? Couldn't tie his own tie. This man never stopped serving his country. Listen to his daughter Robin, reading from his final farewell letter, not to be published until his death. And I think you'll hear in Dole's own words what makes this man..

"Here's what you need to know in politics for Friday December 10th. Official Washington bids goodbye to an American of courage and conviction, like few others. Senator Bob Dole, the former Republican leader of the Senate from Kansas, as you know by now no doubt died on Sunday at the age of 98 after his battle with advanced lung cancer. Today, President Biden, vice president Harris, speaker Pelosi, Senate leaders, Schumer, and McConnell, and a whole host of other former Senate colleagues, people who have held high office in this country gathered at Washington's national cathedral to bid Bob Dole goodbye. Dull, of course, served for nearly three decades in the United States Senate. He also rose to the ranks in his party to be both a vice presidential nominee and a presidential nominee. And he did so by maintaining an aura of real conviction. Conviction, for his beliefs, but even more importantly, conviction for the American ideal. And it was that that his former colleagues and friends and family sort of held up in all of their remarks at the funeral today. President Biden delivered the eulogy and as you know, he served many, many years with Dole in the United States Senate, they had a friendship that spanned 5 decades. We served together for 25 years. We disagreed, but we were never disagreeable with one another. Not one time that I can think of. He understood that we're all part of something much bigger than ourselves. And a compromise isn't a dirty word. It's a cornerstone of democracy. Biden also used Bob Dole's words in his tribute at the cathedral today. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't Joe Biden sort of ascribing some idealized version of Bob Dole in a eulogy. As.

"I think if there is a complaint, it comes from people who don't understand first of all leadership. And secondly, the Senate. He told time during his last presidential campaign, you're not cutting deals, you're out there trying to get something done. And I think most Americans expect us to. His departure from the Senate represented the passage of a kind of honest player, the Senate sorely needed in the years that followed. That's not to say dull ever fully exited the political stage. His wife, former two time cabinet secretary, Elizabeth Dole, unsuccessfully sought The White House nomination in 2000. And joined the Senate for a single term after the 2002 elections. Dole was a steadfast advocate for the nation's veterans, especially those of the World War II generation, and for the disabled. He often scheduled Saturday morning drives from his home at the Watergate to the World War II memorial to greet veterans from that conflict. I want to win for the right reason. He said during his last campaign, I want to win because the people of America had confidence in Bob Dole, because they understood leadership. Maybe the country's understanding of leadership has evolved since he staked his claim to it, but the values and virtues he represented have lost none of their power. Only their visibility. There are a lot of different ways to get into wellness. Did you know that people say laughter is good for your heart and that exercise can actually improve chronic pain and walking is nearly as healthy as running. You know what else people say? State Farm has surprisingly great rates on car insurance. And that's not only good for you, but healthy for your budget too. Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there..

"Brought to you by State Farm, like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. Bob Dole, Senate legend to champion compromise, dies at age 98. By Nancy Gibbs. As a young man and a small town, Bob Dole, said when he announced his candidacy for The White House in 1995, my parents taught me to put my trust in God, not government, and never confuse the two. It was a logical thing to say, when he was running against a government loving liberal like Bill Clinton. But it also rang untrue from a man who devoted his life to making government work. When dull died on Sunday at the age of 98, America lost not just another war hero of the greatest generation, or a champion of whole grain American values, or a persistent but unsuccessful presidential contender. It lost a legislator whose faith in the possibility of collaboration and compromise seems all too rare now in the Senate chamber that was his high church. Not that he found compromise easy, nothing in Dole's life was easy, and that's the way he wanted it. He used to say that he trusted in the hard way a faith formed out of the compacted sand of western Kansas, where anything that comes easy probably isn't worth having. Hard choices meant second chances, so he swallowed his pride as he and his family moved into the basement of his boyhood home during the depression, so that they could rent out the house above. He came home from World War II not alive or dead, but in between, boxed and crated in a plaster cast, shot up in so many places that he was reduced at age 21 to a second infancy, learning all over again how to walk, eat, dress himself with clip on ties and laceless shoes because his right arm was now two and a half inches shorter than his left. Faith in government, he carried around an image of America in which government did not need to do what neighbors should do for one another. But government was not the enemy, either, not for a man from a town where government meant jobs, farm price support programs and rural electrification. He fought for America, nearly died.

"Democrat wars All in this century I figured out the other day If we added up the killed and wounded and Democrat laws in this century would be about 1.6 million Americans enough to fill the city of Detroit And in 1988 during his second try for a presidential nomination Dole lashed out in anger after a bitter New Hampshire primary loss to the incumbent vice president George H. W. Bush Is there anything you'd like to say to the vice president Yeah stop lying about my record Ross baker says there were always two bob doles There was the Bob Dole who was the harsh Republican or rhetorician the one who in the 1976 vice presidential campaign referred contemptuously to Democrat wars of the one who characterized Jimmy Carter as southern fried mcgovern The one with the kind of snide comments the sort of mean spirited Bob Dole On the other hand there was the man who increasingly became a Republican centrist Republican strategist Scott Reed worked with Dole for over 20 years and he managed his 1996 run for The White House This was a guy that was a legislative expert knew how to wait till the end hold his cards close to his chest and then make the move which wasn't always the greatest skill when you were running for president No one knew this better than Dole himself having tried to run for president twice while keeping his day job in the Senate Dole decided in 1996 to step down as majority leader and concentrate on his ultimate ambition In his farewell speech he said he was leaving the Senate with nowhere to go but The White House or home I will then stand before you without officer authority A private citizen a kansan an American just a man But I will be the same man I was when I walked into the room The same man I was yesterday And the day before and a long time ago when I roast my hospital bed and was permitted by the grace of God to walk again in the world That speech was a rare reference to Dole's grievous war wounds and long convalescence He never recovered the use of his right arm remarkably Dole was known for being funny and as a connoisseur of political humor writing a book about it called great presidential wit Former South Dakota senator Tom daschle who was democratic leader often locked horns with Dole tells a favorite story about those years However often we met He always insisted on coming to my office and I thought he was playing deference to me until one day as I was walking him out of my office and told him I'm not sure I appreciated the fact that he kept coming to my office rather than asking me to come to his he said well if I come to your office I can decide when the meeting's over That's Bob Dole Always deadpan the dull humor could also be a little dark You don't want to build sitting around too long he would say people might read it On one occasion when a Republican colleague cast a crucial vote lying on his back on a hospital gurney don't said that particular senator voted better under sedation as often as not the butt of his jokes was himself Here he is in 2009 at an event on healthcare I probably had more healthcare than anybody Probably.

Cdp's been changed from providing fool or part-time positions for which employer organisations paid extra wages on top of the dole to the current program of part-time work like activities for just basic welfare payments at a rate of eleven dollars. An hour jones said the best thing the government could do is change the cdp back to the way it used to be back when it was called the community development unemployment program or cd.
