"I've got launchers or know situation like that i might even have some birds in a bag and a walk him out on that check cord and control the situation. They're not running. While then i can roll into a stop with that check cord and that remote in my hand right so you know rolling them and then let them stop because they've already learned to stop prior to that that situation and then once you feel that you can move forward and and i've used other trainer salts where it's like eighty percent of the time they understand it then you move forward to the next Stage where you know without a check court I'll tell you this. Oh i've got certain dogs. That all i have to do is teach him to stop in the yard. Maybe i walk out. I bump among the belly in the backfield. I have a bag of pigeons. I start tossing pigeons shooting a blank pistol stopping that dog. Just like in that scenario. And i take him to the field and i'm working on an all i've got to do is use that break on him. That's you know that caller a break and all have cut. Do take that jason. They'll stop stand in a situation that's it and that's that's the breeding side. A lot of is And they're they want to stand. But gosh i've had about. I've worked i think fifteen out of One sire in almost every single one of them acted the same way around birds and in. It's like they're they're really Their bold enough and you can stop them and those are the dogs that i can take right to wild birds. And i don't have to whole lot in the yard Other dogs you have to do prerequisites in order for them to have an understanding. Otherwise it's like getting a car ahead of the horse so really knowing what you're working with and what that dog needs that that's kind of your first and foremost but Being able to stop him without birds and then implementing stop off flushing birds on front where they don't even sent them and then stopping them and doing a number of those two were they understand that situation and then you feel confident that you put them in the wild birds or other situations that you can stop them That's kinda the way meander to it and then eventually You can sink your your neck collar with your flank collar and then moved to the neck only for noncompliance right so like okay. You went with the birds. And just a bumpy. Unstop you So so it's kinda in a nutshell. I i know very very good south. That's that's of a lot of interest to me at at the stage. I met with my younger dogan announcing the listeners as well but our next question mark says here's a good one what if you have a esp s. p. so happy that barks as it runs. He taken out. I hate barking. Actually a we're going to get into this so agom now you don't wanna take the joy out of a dog Right but Barking while running in hunting the dogs actually not hunted. It's it's their mind clearing a lot of times There's field trials right now where dogs are getting placed in their barking a majority of the half hour to hour on the ground. The you can't tell me that's not genetic that ed's not is not shorthair zone. It's not you know it's it's across the board. And in so i i mean i get the allot like now. I've seen dogs bark while chasing birds. I've seen embark will chasing tweety birds game birds. You know different situations chasing deer or whatever but you gotta you you take that off them so to speak just you you get rid of that behavior and But yeah you want to be happy. But their joy of finding birds is that they're not running track. They're not hunting for an even with a lot of the hounds what we call. It was babbling and dad hated that with the hounds grownup. All i mean. I remember coming home and there's certain bloodlines. He was working than they were known to babble on the track instead of running a chop mouth on track and so that's probably where it starts his leg. it's been ingrained to me not to like that But you know it's You think about it if they're racing through the country the probably not thinking birds like where there are just over over speed racing through it or if they're barking wall running or a third barking and chasing birds in the air the probably not trying to get appointed either so you gotta be gradual with but then certain behaviors. You have to bend them out of that and so you can bend dogs barking while running but you gotta make him do something for you. You of make them handle a lot of times. But i've seen a lot of the genetic and the that's that's the thing that that's kind of been a pet peeve lately of mine is like dogs barking on the ground or gosh even the texas dogs barking on the truck. I do not handle allowed either. So yeah aesthetically. It's not as enjoyable. But it seems to kind of correlate with really a heightened sense of excitement or in just like you said the dog is i mean. It's almost like that. Barking is like the spilling out of their excess energy. That they're just full tilt and they're not like they need to dial back. They're not focused and they're not in the zone at that point absolutely and that's but some of them to do it for the first few minutes and then just get out of their system and then they're fine And i'm not an after a while. It just kind of dwindles. But if it's something that's constantly going on and i i've had it There there's some dogs that i worked Last summer that would do it. And just on a lot of the time turnham. I'd make him turn with me so like they're going to the front and they were one hundred fifty yards in air yipping embarking and just trying to keep up with another dog on the ground. I would I turn directions like ninety degrees call on them and start kinda tickling them with that caller to get them to pay attention and they would come across to the front will now. Their mind is focused. On what i'm asking of them instead of just read through focus. Yeah exactly so. Typically when handling drills An can start.

"Thoughts and trees and birds and insects and clouds. Together are all mind. Your problems are not yours. They belong to the whole world. Maybe when you realize it takes the pressure off a little bit. Your problems may still be there. But they're not just your problems and they're not your fault to be sure you should do whatever you can do to make them better but there's no need to take it also personally. Dogan concludes this section with a lovely very encouraging image. He says an ancient said though the sun and moon shine brightly floating clouds. Cover them over. Clusters of orchids are about to bloom. Autumn winds blow and they wither. This saying is found in the essentials of government during the zingone period comparing a wise king to his evil ministers. Now i would say duggan says. Even if floating clouds covered the sun and moon they will not remain for long even if autumn winds whether the flowers they will bloom again even if the ministers are evil if the king is wise he will not be seved long practicing the buddha way should be the same no matter what evil we might commit for a while if we remain steadfast and maintain our practice for a long time the floating clouds will disappear and the autumn winds will cease son. Beautiful flower arranging. Opening is in.

The Origins of Driving on the Left Side of the Road

"Day was september third. One thousand nine hundred sixty seven traffic in sweden switched from being being on the left side of the road to the right side of the road. The day is officially known as hugger traffic com lag uneaten or the right hand traffic diversion. It's also called dogan hoa or h day for short. The change caused some disruption but not much since sweden. We didn't have been preparing for the switch for a while. Most countries in the region drove on the right side of the road. Though some european countries like orland britain and iceland stuck to driving on the left side many of britain's former territories still drive on the left as well left side driving can be traced back to ancient rome. It's not clear why ancient romans traveled on the left but it could have been so they could use their weapons with their right hand. When someone approached the practice of staying on the left side of the road continued into medieval europe but by the nineteenth eighteen century the united states canada france and germany had adopted the key right role more european countries standardized driving on the right side side throughout the twentieth century that became an issue for swedish drivers since imported in swedish may car's steering on the left side and places that have have right hand side regulations drivers sit on the left hand side that way drivers can see past the vehicle in front of them but passing car in sweden sweden was difficult and dangerous since drivers sat and drove on the left side. This awkward set up led to many head on collisions onto lane highways as drivers ventured into oncoming traffic to pass a vehicle. Also people from nearby countries like denmark norway and finland. We're used to driving on the right side so they often got an accident when they visited sweden because of the confusion so the swedish government decided take the issue of whether sweden switch to right hand side driving to a vote in one thousand nine hundred eighty five referendum eighty three percent of people opposed the switch but by nineteen sixty seven there were a lot more vehicles on the road and safety was a concern. The government decided to go forth with a change anyway. They started a whole campaign to make the transition smooth. They created signs and stickers with the logo for the transition. The logo we'll go was in h with an arrow going from the left side to the right side of the letter beneath the eights was the planned date for the switch september third nineteen sixty eighty seven the government put out pamphlets p._s._a.'s and product step marketed the switch a song about h day hit number five on swedish music charts in addition to the public relations campaign sweden had to go through major infrastructure changes signs had to be reversed intersections in one way streets had to be dealt with and bus stops had to be moved in the days leading up to h day the new system with explained on not be on the radio and in newspapers on the morning of the change. All non-essential traffic was ordered to stay off the roads risk at four fifty in the morning. The phrase now is the time to change over was announced over loudspeakers the entire project it costs about six hundred and twenty eight million kronor or two point six billion kronor in two thousand eighteen the equivalent of three hundred sixteen million u._s. dollars on the monday after h day slightly fewer traffic accidents that average reported the number of motor insurance claims went down but this improvement was likely due to safer than normal driving by nineteen sixty-nine accident and fatality rates had gone back since h._d._a. "Robbie went into just the enormous number of proceedings and all of those uh taking fully six years for him to get an actual time before a judge is that typical yet it can go on and on and on and on and on and check the nature of appellate cases involving murders in pennsylvania and in federal courts to it's a very circuitous route and um it take quite a while so you guys actually got to talk with uh deirdra and dogan's so how did you feel about the about their testimony after speaking with them personally they were very can fear they were clearly haunted by the testimony that they had given um back in 1993 and even before that so with very interesting to hear that it was and they they both told us added we talked to them for the story about can be a fact that they they felt because of their original testimony i do too said that she felt the press and andrzej was saying that he heard creamed sleep at night and things like that became about this case so billy can have little sympathy told us about timeconsuming first testify led to believe that like gamely said they were sincere in what they're saying to us the second time that they light originally as the trial endorphins seemed to be because the he brought the fact that he had been an addict and that he had gleaned up his uh his life substantially that this was also an aspect of him turning over new leaf was that uh an aspect of it when you spoke with him i'm definitely on he really said over and over again over numerous interviews that he does not want to go to his grave with it on his conscience so in the peace you may actually mentioned several other cases of people who were exonerated after false witness testimony did you see any were there any patterns that came out from that did you see you know peoples whose names just kept popping up in terms of prosecutors or police officers there were some really good.
