"I had come to the conclusion that i could not prove she was actually alive. This is a turning point in us because may start to contemplate the idea. Could it be that. She's actually been dead this entire time. So if kerry farber was dead what happened to her. After she left dave's apartment on that early morning two years before decision made by dodie and avis to reopen. The case would be a true turning point if not for detective saudi. This chances are this case would never have been solved. This smell the big fish a big problem. Something really weird. This investigation is about to take a left hand. Turn good nobody saw coming. "Maura Brewer's warmup on Dodie G. M. J. Brewers and Cubs today, wrapping up the three game Siri's at Wrigley. After today's game, the Brewers will get on a plane they will head to a Pittsburgh for a match up against the Pirates. That's going to be a three game. Siri's In front of an off day on Thursday and then the home opener going to be coming up on Friday afternoon. I believe that is a Friday afternoon is the on ly scheduled week Day day game this year. Most Everything's being played at night. That's that's major league baseball wide. When they did this 60 game schedule, they wanted to do it. Knowing that fans we're not going to be in the stands. They wanted to make a schedule where you could get the most eyes on games on television, and you're just you're going to get more people watching games at night that you are going to have them watching games during the day. So that's why For them. I mean, there's a there's a day game here and there across Major league baseball. I think the Brewers play one day game on the road. Yeah, they're going to play against the Cubs in the afternoon on Thursday, August 13th And that, as I see, it is the on ly weak day day game on the road, so it is going to be mostly night games this year. The Brewers didn't make a move prior to today's game. Left handed pitcher Eric Lower, has been reinstated from the injured list and placed onto the 30 man active roster. If you remember lower, was acquired from the Padres during the course. Of the offseason when spring training got started, and summer camp got started. Hey, certainly was, I guess not when summer camp got started because he was late getting in, but he's always been somebody who was considered probably going to be in the starting rotation Last year with the Padres. He was a starter, eight and 10 4.45 E. R. A 30 games at 29 starts. He came in close contact with someone who had tested positive for the Corona virus. So he was late getting to summer camp. So once the season got started, he was sent to Appleton, where he continued to work out and clearly he is in much better shape or he never tested positive. That's that's an important designation. He did not test positive but because he came in close contact. They wanted to be very careful and they kept him away. But now he's on the active roster, and we'll see how things end up shaking out when it comes to the starting rotation. So today, you've got Freddie Peralta going yesterday. Corbin Burns got the started. You would assume that Burns is going to remain in the rotation based off his performance yesterday. The starters for the Pittsburgh Siri's are set. Adrian Hauser will pitch tomorrow. Josh Lin Bloom or make his season debut, coming up on Tuesday and then back to Brandon Woodruff on Wednesday. At that point, the Brewers go into that off day on Thursday, and they can kind of do whatever they want to do with the rotation from there. Craig Counsell's mentioned this before, and it is certainly worth mentioning again. Looking at the starting pitchers this year for the Brewers as just a conventional five man rotation that's probably not accurate. There's going to be probably some funky things that you end up doing there. The Mariners, for example of just committed to a six man rotation for the year. I don't think the Brewers are going to do that. But there could certainly be a situation where You go through the five man rotation twice and then you take 1/6 guy and throw him in there just to give everybody an extra day. There could certainly be situations, especially when the rosters at 30 that a game turns into a bullpen game. It's it's important to note Two things connected to each other and how that's going to impact starting pitching. Once the Brewers play on Friday, the home opener against ST Louis, they will have one off day. That's July 30 1st they will have one off day on August 17th between Friday, July 31st and Thursday, September 3rd. They play over a month with just one single off day, and you're not coming off a full spring training. You're coming off the summer camp where you don't know how stretched out. Guys are So just keeping that in mind when it pertains to starting pitching, I think is a really important thing to dio because this is not going to look like the conventional five man rotation, so don't be shocked to see lower into some version of the rotation very, very soon. The corresponding move by the white right handed pitcher Mike Morin was designated for assignment. So we'll see if he ends up by getting picked up by another organisation. This is a weird year. Your designated for assignment. If you clear through waivers, does the team still keep you on the overall player pool and send you to Appleton when you're not on the 40 man roster. It's It's just a weird deal this year. When there is no minor league baseball. We're going to pass along the starting line up and get all set for today's contest. It's the Brewers and the Cubs, a first pitch coming up at 1 20 but right now it is 12 30. So let's head to the W T. M. J breaking news Center and get a news update with Tony Better Alright, thankyou. Matt. Prosecutors are formally filing charges against the mother of a two year old girl who was fatally shot last week in Milwaukee. A criminal complaint says Jasmine Daniel's admitted Do investigators she was playing around with her gun when it went off and shot two year olds Amaya Stevens that happened last Tuesday near 105th and Mill Road..
Behind the scenes at the humanitarian air hub dispatching COVID-19 aid to African nations
"Face mosques a million of them just some of the precious cargo being dispatched to all corners of Africa by the UN as the continent braces for the spread of cove in nineteen managing. This huge task is Amanda Dowdy Senior Director of Operations for the World Food Program will WFP in online interview with you. An uses Daniel Johnson Jordanian national. Mr Dodie takes us behind the scenes at the agency's humanitarian hub in the European capital. Addis Ababa where a U N Wide Supply Chain. Operation is now in full swing. The flights game some came from China on some came from Dubai. It was a combined shipment of Jack Ma Foundation and who own supplies? They arrived in Addis on Tuesday and from there we are moving only consignments to almost fifty countries across Africa so far we have moved up to thirty countries and every day we are completing that consignment right so on the ground then from Addis Ababa. You've reached around thirty countries as you say what's the the final figure Africa now if we African country which ones have called for help. And how is the decision taken about which ones are helped look going to all the African countries in accordance with ovulation in accordance with needs? But the most in need are where the number of cases are flaring up. We have cases in west Africa in Senegal as well as in southern Africa and flights. Today just give me a picture of actually what's happening on the ground in Addis at the humanitarian hub. Everything is working. We allocate the basically parcel or or kit the cargo in accordance to fly throughout that we have so the lanes will depart at this angle to multiple countries. Come back and pick up again. Another would go to multiple vendors. Of course we're using several airplanes in order to reach a maximum. I think today the plan is for thirty countries to receive the locations today and what particular protocols are in place to prevent caveat nineteen transmission. We follow all the procedures in terms of the guidelines of w the national health guidelines. That are in place the social distancing but we also are in a way in even when we transfer Scott Every manager in place including spraying the planes in short that there is no cross contamination even from parcells coming so we follow according to a yet according to Keio we are abiding by these owes to the letter in terms of what happened today when it reaches the country in question. How is the aid distributed? And how you show that. It's getting to where it needs to go. It's the handed over to the Ministry of of the Spectrum Authority of the member states. It's not exactly going to UN agencies or NGOs this is going to member states and the government authorities W in coordination with the local government authorities ensures that all the aid or assistance in terms of medical supplies goes to work. It is neat. Could you say this is an historic sort of arrangement to show solidarity in terms of keeping supply chains going because the secretary general has expressed a lot of concern about global supply chains when code actually hits because yes African countries that have been affected already? But it's really nothing compared with what is going to happen. This was the first flight from Addis. Ababa it was the first test for the international hub as transshipment on to the rest of Africa but also in terms of passenger because as part of our response to call with is a neighboring humanitarian and the health responding to reach the countries. And we are going to be using episode for establishing passenger service again to East Africa would be establishing multiple bessinger services. Because as you know commercial air traffic is moralists suspended so we will be establishing these passenger services to ensure that responders humanitarian workers and all the personnel needed to mitigate a fight. This virus can arrive in countries where they need to and they can also leave where they need to go so we are enabling the humanitarian and responds. To be able to mitigate against this virus. This is Africa. Were talking about. So how is the World Food Program helping places like Yemen? Syria Wall Art of the hub. Will also be providing. It's not only for Africa. It we will be using part of the others as well or Yemen for example but this is not the only in Africa we would have one enact ca one in this above and one in South Africa we have a hop ensue bank in Malaysia for Asia and we have a hump in Dubai for the Middle East. And we have a hub in Panama for Latin American for Central America. So these are all going to be coming online as we speak and they would serve as the respective regions both in terms of cargo as well as in terms of personnel the eventual aim is to help ninety five countries in total all. Actually probably it's GONNA reach almost Henry Than Twenty affected countries so we have the capacity to scale up as needed of course if the funding is provided of course and. How much funding do you need? You're asking what three hundred fifty million dollars. How much do you have so far? We entered sixty was initial request. Now we are revising these figures depending on the data that we are getting supplies. As the sourcing and manufacturing increases we will be increasing our air assets in order to make sure that the supplies getting time to the affected countries enter the countries that needs.

"Hello welcome to still buffering. A cross generational guide to the culture. That made us I am Riley Sir. I'm Sydney Maccarone. And I'm Taylor smell. Oh that was hard to get through that rough. That was rough All your word all new words all of them were new except except for guide. Guide stayed the same. Well that's good at least you have that like touchstone Deanna. Middle to know everything before it after. I'm just on my own. We changed our our show. We changed our show. Welcome everyone this is a new universe. You're entering here with us We should take a few minutes to describe because I think while while while the song parody that someone brilliantly composed he did so much to explain. uh-huh what we were going to do a really didn't at all actually it didn't it just explained the problem we're having very well and We we thought we should explain that Riley is going to be twenty this year. Yes this is the last day of twenty and eighteen is. We're recording this. So this is really your our fault. If you WANNA talk about okay all right Sure I are still adults like. We've always been adult so the that's that's fair that's fair. It is my fault and it really is true while we were kind of poking fun at it it really is true that Riley his fallen appetite. I really have with what sixteen year olds are doing. It really does take me a lot of effort to figure out what people are doing now. Teens are doing now. Yeah Yeah I feel like when I'm when I when I have knowledge about the same things it you have. Then that's trouble. Yeah which I mean is he's not Riley. I should say like we're joking about how it's your fault it's a good thing Should I be more like to see what should I be. More like sixteen but still will twelve. Should I now. That'd be weird a little bit of that teen yet because I thought she got that car but she wasn't yet able to drive it. Sixteen right we. We can't talk about. We're not talking about culture. This isn't our show anymore. All I know is my five year old. Loves Josie Wasser. That's weird. Yes she's sixteen okay. Well it's I think. Ah I think that's the difference. Though like from the years of like twelve to twenty that eight year time period you change yes so much more than like you change from like thirty to thirty eight or whatever. Yeah I mean this this decade talking about the end of this decade. I mean I started started this decade. I was nine and I am now going to be twenty that possible the most changes probably I. I have been through in my life so I think it is good that you are not necessarily in touch with what thirteen year olds are doing agree. Sometimes I see either tick toxin. I just get scared but there is. There is culture that has made us and shaped it doesn't change us as teenagers and young adults yes That is still worthy of conversation. We've done that on the show before. Yeah we've done episodes or movies Caesar. TV shows or music. What have you and and so we thought that would be a good format where we can continue to kind of talk about the the still buffering process? Yes as in like growing and changing and still content loading in full disclosure. We played around with that cost of content loading and fully loaded team and loaded five minutes before this episode. We're trying to come up with something I I you know. Sadly him with a thought. What if at the end we talked about being fully loaded the car like movie like Herbie wasted? Yeah no no no rich reputation. Yeah nothing no real good. Nothing really good connected to that that that works for this show now but the the thing is when you're younger not just a teenager but does a young adult. I think that movies and music and TV shows and our literature and everything can have more of an impact on who you become. You're not to say it doesn't affect US adults. Of course it does but it's been a long time since I've heard a song and it has fundamentally changed the way I look at things and I feel like that. That was a lot more likely to happen when I was younger. Because I was still shaping things because I'm still figuring out things you're worldviews become a lot more fixes an adult for better for worse But we thought there was a lot of culture that occurred through the years when we were younger Taylor and I and now currently for Riley. Yes that we could talk talk about and not always necessarily the stuff we like yes. This isn't just a just a celebration of stuff we like. Well it's You know it's funny because it makes me think of have either if you read the sex drugs and cocoa puffs book about kind of Pop Culture. No how did the big idea. Its specificity makes things that mean things to us you know. It's not just singing a song about falling in love with a beautiful girl and dancing night away. It's about talking about like you know like you shared a soda at the Taco Bell at two o'clock in the morning you know that's the stuff that really hooks us in pop culture and there've been a lot of episodes in the past and we've talked about these really broad things. It's like an entire style of music or like fashion or whatever at a lot of times it's like it's too much to really encompass so I'm excited to kind of get into the specificity instead of just it's like listing here a bunch of physicians that fell into this and this is we all liked it for these reasons like it's like no it is hone into that so yeah that's that's a really good point. Yeah Yeah Yeah. I think I think that it'll be interesting to explore. Those kind of cultural touchstones that we encountered and again not necessarily in a good way because there are some things I look back gone that were very deeply entrenched into my psyche at a young age like pieces of pop culture that shaped who I was that I had to kind of undo as I got older And I think those are still worthy of discussion because I think if you're from the same generation as me you may have also fallen victim to that And I'm sure that's happening now Riley to you as we speak currently actively so it's not it's not just necessarily our favorite things things. Although some of them might be things we really like other things might be things we really don't or used to or still like now realize where trash not trash. You know what I mean. Yeah Trash that's GonNa be that's GonNa be our a new show. Yes and each week one of us will have to bring something to the table. It's like a little rotational show Intel. Yes if you will to to bring an experience and and discuss and we will always try to name. What our next thing is if you'd like to lay along at home we're giving you homework fully? Don't show curses allowed encouraged her since no curses everywhere about just a few of them on a just a few curse not even one curse. What about like six? What about like a a curse that you place on someone instead of like a curse word? He can't do that either. But you if you want to say h e double hockey sticks now like the real word I like the but word can we say about where can could we say but you can say but are you want you know what I meant. You know what I mean. When I say the button word but other glutinous maximus ever find what bomb I? I like bum bum bum. Bum is good. If you WANNA say bum on this show you can. I don't want to. That's not what this is about. That was a joke. We're not talking about. We're not using curses on this show sadly versus. What are we going to do though? Other than not dot to Kurt and knocker. Thanks for joining us. This week is my week this week. Yes I started. What have you brought for us? I have brought a saw off of an album and potentially the album will focus on the song. It's called human and it's by my my favorite artist Dodie or her youtube name doddle or her given name. Dorothy whichever you prefer. Does she just Dorothy. Yes her first name is Dorothy. I forget what her mental and last name is but her sister. Her younger sister couldn't and say Dorothy and Culture Dodie. Her last name is Clark. Yeah called her duty. Because you couldn't say Dorothy so now she is doty Odi simple one where she doesn't go by Dodie Clark. She goes by Dodie she used to go by Donald Auto. Nash goes way dirty. Okay that was her the big rebranding Yeah this song came out actually in two thousand sixteen so it's three years old But I have been listening to Dodie sint probably two thousand eleven or twelve. I was I was very young and she has been I guess we'll just will dive dive right in right just started. Yeah okay listen we are. We are creating this new. Make it up as She started on Youtube in two thousand seven was her first video. which is crazy if you think about because I was either six or seven not the era and she's only five years older than me so she was like twelve yet when I looked up her because I had to Google her? Yeah to find out some more info since I that was not even that research. Yes I heard you talk about her but I was not really familiar with her worker. Who she was so I googled her and I saw the year of her birth earth and felt quite? Oh Yeah in one thousand nine hundred five. What was I up to not being born? Yeah yeah and I was not being boring. That was what I was up to use. I also hey look there's something we and none of us were being born in the next ninety five But she's been on youtube half of her life and that's where she got her start was she was Youtuber Uber. She wrote a lot of original songs. Played The UKULELE mostly She was the reason I wanted to learn how to play Ukulele. She was her songs. Were the first ones I ever learned. she also was the first makeup tutorial video. Ever watch she would occasionally you know venture into Makeup Cup or hair or log tight videos and she taught her viewers how to cat I with lighter And it was the first time I tried to do that. I was probably like thirteen. Thirteen But yes she was very influential on my my music growing up because I would always have to go into youtube in listen to her original songs songs and leave them open in my in my browser..

"This apparently the scene where the puppies like suckle from the cows because they're hungry and cold the poor things attracted a lot of criticism at the time because people were like it's not proof root for children. Listen, the sixties, man. Yeah. Mammals give milk. You yourself. Do you have child you produced milk to its natural? I feel like we all say now like everyone offended. I everything wasn't that different than true. They were just offended for different things than we have internet. Tell you right. Exactly. So this is kind of sad and we've seen it before with pollyanna almost but in the early nineties the merchandise tied in with the videos release, of course, but it was quickly pulled because the word dalmatian was spelled incorrectly. They spelled it T I O N instead of T I A N. And when I read this fun fact, I had to go back and correct it myself on this document because I felt it wrong everywhere. I wonder if I have any merchandise with the I o n because my mom was super into like Disney would do like before before things would be released on videos. They would like do this whole build up with merchandise and lithographs and all of this kind of stuff, and she was always like first person there. I'm getting this. Yeah. I mean, I have to go look she might the March was only available at Disneyland or the Disney stores. And I mean that doesn't stores were everywhere in town. Yeah. Lou. Goodness. So the author Dodie don't I keep saying Doty in style pretty shirts dot well. 'cause that's hilarious cannon accepted. Daddy. So she did have nine domains of her own one, including was named Pondo. And she got the idea for the book when a friend who was at her house all the dogs together and said, those dogs will make a lovely for coat, dude. Get it. Oh. Oh, can you imagine being like the direct influence for Cruella DeVille, though? Yup. But don't talk about my dog like that. We always use her me where she's like driving the car, and she liked her hair's crazy crazy, man. I sister. And I always said that to each other or like, this is my day. Accurate, so out of those fifteen puppies that Purdue gives birth to. There's only six that have name. So there's lucky Rowley. Patch penny pepper and freckles. I dunno pepper whose pepper. I don't know. I don't know. But there is a pepper, and I read it somewhere. I don't remember where and I was trying to listen for it. Because I watched it twice in the past like couple of weeks three times, actually. Peifer, and they don't really say it all out. Lucky? Really patching penny. Yeah. I don't really relate to on a personal level. Yeah. Hungry. Also shout out to my old dog freckles because he was totally named after freckles from hundred one dollars Asian, really. Yeah. I don't know that it was just he owns. Also like dominations bonus. So this might be my favorite fun fact of the bunch. So someone counted all the black spots in the movie frame by frame, and they reached six million four hundred sixty nine thousand nine hundred and fifty two so that breaks down to seventy two spots on Pondo sixty eight on Purdue and thirty two on each pup. Wow. She she's saying God for Xerox. Coke. "Apparently dodie concocted a scheme to leave the ritz unnoticed he set up a decoy mercedes with his official driver and bodyguards leaving out of the hotels front door making a big deal about the exit so all of the press would follow that car in the meantime a smaller mercedes s 280 driven by anri paul would transport doughty diana and just one bodyguard trevor reese jones if doty's plan worked out dodie and diana could travel back to doughty's apartment in peace maybe they were done being photographed at the end of a long day or maybe it had something to do with die in his tears over dinner either way honoree paul who never normally drove the fi ads was driving the couple home driving was an in honoree paul's job description andy wasn't even supposed to be working at that time that's definitely suspicious what's worse as the doughty's plan failed it did here's where we get to the official version of diana's death this is the story determined to be factual by police inquest and accepted as the truth by the mainstream public shortly after midnight diana dodie trevor reese jones an anri paul get into the mercedes s 280 within minutes the 'paparazzi realize where the princess is an ten journalists in five cars to motorbikes and three scooters follow their car taking photos in one photo of the exit anri looks drunk trevor looks worried in diana is turned away to avoid the camera dodie isn't pictured but we know from the police reports that neither he nor diana buckled their seat belts at doty's request the car takes an indirect route to the apartment to avoid being photographed they drive along the seine taking the core albert one road towards the pond along the tunnel over the previous fifteen years the tunnel had seen 34 crashes resulting in eight deaths not an unusually high number but a precedent for danger lord stevens former chief of scotland yard.
