S. data good nineteen her project and what it does is track the number of tests per day for United States going back to when testing started hi an important reason yes have side look at it you got to collect the data yourself I went back and I said okay yesterday we had six hundred and forty thousand test with a record number of test yesterday and you heard from the media yesterday as we had forty thousand infections if you look at the infection rate yesterday was actually six percent which is lower than the ten percent that we've been averaging since this thing began so if you go back it tracks it all the way back to February so we were doing about three hundred thousand half the day back in may increasing to about four hundred thousand in June and if you look at the last week of June we've been averaging about four hundred fifty six hundred and forty thousand test yes you are seventy thousand more than we've done at any one time so if you take that inspection right you're gonna have more infections per day in the range of seven to twelve thousand more per day it's just you know it's just that I don't expect the media to to report that but I wanted to inform you that side if you're not already informed but think it's important that people look at that if the covert nineteen project the call it's called the U. S. data code nineteen tracking project and if you look at all it is is tracking the number of tests per day very hard to find you can go to the site you can go to the World honor and find how many infections per day and how many number that you can never find the test it's very interesting you have to dig dig down to find that stuff but I thought I thought it was interesting to point out your listeners we talk about the infection rate being twelve percent fifteen percent you're looking at six percent of the of the test yesterday which is where I believe the lowest since this started but all you hear is about forty thousand you know record number of record number of infections per day and it's affecting the economy expecting everything it is it's a technical stuff and let me tell you this you don't even know if these numbers are actually accurate because I'll I'll tell you this professor Daniel W..

"Is the fact that one in every thirty three babies is born with a birth defect January is birth defects awareness month I think a lot of people aren't maybe perhaps aware of that somebody who definitely is is doctor Scott ads like he's a surgeon in chief at the children's hospital of Philadelphia a quite a resume that doctor ads like has he's he's absolutely dedicated his life to this is an innovator in fetal medicine since the fields inception really so doc thanks so much for coming on with us by pleasure the babies each year are born with birth defects to put it in perspective both of the fax awareness month I'll get give you some key points first of all wanted thirty three babies is born with a birth defects other amazingly calm and Effexor costly billions of dollars required for medical treatment birth defects are merciless no parent should is immune the mysterious most because of birth defects are unknown they're over walked in my view the research is under funded and their birth defects are deadly the leading cause of infant mortality so in terms of stats each year in the US nearly a hundred and fifty thousand babies are born with birth defects anyway the conditions are rare most parents and even some clinicians have never heard of them and so too often these families are made aware of the treatments available in a place like our center pretty diagnosis and treatment of strollers hospital of Philadelphia in the left feeling overwhelmed with few options so it's great that works out talking so that your listeners can hear about this relatively new enterprise of fetal surgery yes so talk about that what could be helped by having the surgery while the baby is still in the womb I'll give you a couple of examples the two most frequent operations we do before birth are describing a laser therapy for twin twin transfusion syndrome and the other is open fetal surgery for the for the so for Clinton transfusions syndrome the set up is identical twins each in their own amniotic sack in as opposed to East when having its own placenta the password this that connects the fetus to the mother they have a shared placenta and their abnormal blood vessels I go from one side to the other says that one of the identical twins gets too much blood and goes in the heart failure develops and in excess of a on the other foot and the other two and doesn't get enough blood goes in the kidney failure and doesn't produce any of the comes a starting point and the way to treat that and to say both twins or otherwise doomed to put a scope inches to the nearest to the mothers of down a wall in your wall Mitchell was the person and use a laser fiber the phone call I get later include those culprit blood vessels with very good outcomes the second example is he'll surgery responded to us but it is the fact in which the coverings of the spinal cord don't form and so the in the higher this is a misspelling core the more nervous or affected and and we learned that there's ongoing damage to those lawyers through the entry actually amniotic fluid exposure because that's mostly is the key how many people everybody don't like journaling but for me it was an opportunity to help hole and I continued that when I came out it didn't become a book until twenty eighteen then hello hello I mean she even had that experience I would not be in a position to help my better assault battery understand in a grip on themselves and even to ship today I you to help hold better is to understand how we can diminish and hopefully some day eliminate bye bye which is at twenty one twenty two per day nationwide now really takes middle and me in the mirror and be fine you couldn't talk or what has been said to you by I'm I'm going to say by the empire whether that empire is political or religious or military it really is our responsibilities are my responsibility to have experienced that to help others not to experience it in other words what I'm saying is I I am a victim of sexual assault or serving in the military all rights to after coming home attempted suicide and all of that though this happens the number one and I didn't have a frame mother I've asked that to get my mother credit god rest her soul for me having some stability mine and I'm doing that work better and as we speak on the first of December for example I bet you will better ends and the topic was I survive through death by suicide a timeless story telling and it was amazing to hear a little better and talk about their experience and how clean by how they survive and how he survived by suicide wow how wonderful it is to have to talk about that who is a professional that is not going to take the critical approach that's the last thing we need is better and if the clinical approach we need will call from a spiritual perspective that will talk to are sold that will that will help are sold in this while we have been able to accomplish many of the things that we have been able to accomplish and can accumulate that being that we've been able to accumulate well one thing that we have left out along the way he is operational loose inspirational that that's the first sold news he's the sole affirmations that feeds the soul and so that that's a long way around answering the questions about health serving in the military what is so important for military people are who are often isolated from their families for over two years of time or are have multiple deployments that this will be at the root of our dance by suicide internally status well I want to call them we have a re entry program that you use a lot of options in the year so that's the next thing that we're going to work on is you know how how do we how do we transition from a very strict Stan Lee very strict and very strong Stan Lee system where I was that your back you've got my back to a billion system where that camaraderie is listing and and very often it's the result the it and we can resolve and two doors it can result in post a message trespass order it can be it can it can result in considering and unfortunately from succeeding in our committee especially all writing to pay it forward so to speak yes I and listening to you thank you for you do for veterans and I hope so many people this is resonating I agree with with Pamela June Anderson and saying that people are disconnected out there and that's and they feel disoriented and and lonely except for and and so much is Welling up inside of them so twenty one to twenty two suicide today that's on believable we we only have a minute or so left and my one and I know it's just lies by what what do you hope what do you hope people take away from reading this that there is hope and that they can do something well they will take away an opportunity to self reflect an opportunity to to kill turnover because that's where the work takes place I can go to all the women are all of the power structures and all of the churches and I can do all of that external were but nothing happened until I stand in the mirror mirror you know that Michael Jackson that the that the made the recording I'm starting with the person in the mirror yeah that used to be in the works is is colonel it's it's really taking time number one to get to know well who am I and and why am I here and do what I believe what I had been taught or or or am I willing to take the risk to the rhythm looking for to take take a critical look at what I've been taught whether it's whether it's religious or political sports store are are these my values are these the values that have been imposed fondly that's where the rubber meets the road and we have to have the courage to say well you know I needed to add a little bit and and maybe if I write about it I think this opportunity to look at these articles that have been written from aimed a reflective perspective for most of the becoming a hold to be made whole their goal and their life and love as a goal to get to know who I am and who was out there so that way Margaret committee to to start and end terminal journey towards wholeness and understand yeah the work will be tedious but on the other side of it like just the glass door is black wonderful and I whoever the IMAP I to reach out to my my my fellow veteran ana for my fellow brother or my soul sister and and and and and and make a friend and and so on down the he's on down the.

"Five we're starting off the new year doctor Scott with your program this Wednesday evening and it's gonna be on chronic headaches and things that go bump in the night if you will and distinguishing or whether they're a migraine way and what's that because in the Tribune pattern with my grade we know my grade is a vascular headache but what's causing inflammatory pathway was bio chemistry is a neurological as a compression as their injury is it coming from a disproportionate the body is it sit emotional stress found that doesn't go away are we harbor in an internalizing things I know you're gonna go through all that didn't I have to do to register is go to Roselle care dot com that's our O. S. E. L. L. E. C. A. R. E. Roselle care dot com and hit the button that says register now plug it in and then we will confirm we'll send you a note and say Hey you know this is gonna be but those of you heard doctor Scott before know that he will walk away with huge amounts of information that just got let's get back to our you know and he's off the line right now but let's talk about mark's wife a little bit more there's a couple things in those if you'd like to ask as a question triple eight six three zero nine six two five one of the things is that you know like you got to take a look at he's got to he's had some structural work she's has some structural work done but I think sometimes you got to take a look at a lot of different elements here I think the like we were just charge starting on some of the acupuncture the points in the body I think what I think about acupuncture everybody thinks about this energetic element but a lot of times I think also about an acupuncture when you stimulate getting good blood flow in looking at areas of the body and when I look at acupuncture to try to make it simple for people I said does a river runs through it and what does that mean is that does that acupuncture point run through the area of irritation gall bladder plays a big big part because that's probably the one one meridian that runs and crosses back and forth across the top of the skull on the and also strongly socially with all types of headaches from specially the vascular type things with my grand so that's something to be strongly to take a look at it hopefully they've looked at those kind of components and I've seen it time and time again I'm the medical model there's a tendency not to look at those areas and when we start looking at them we find it time and time again Tom I think you just bought one was the that would they came up that with somebody who's not a see a headache on this particular element but something came back with their their second tell having an irritation and they went to the podiatrist and they went to the the orthopedic and they went to their primary they couldn't find anything wrong with it and found out that they actually we found out that basic it's a stomach related type problem because that's where the meridian run through yeah that part of the body when you take a look at the feet you have you know you look at the big tell you have liver and you have spleen which is also the stomach and away and you know those meridians get tied to the bottom the foot you have the kidding radiant and kidney Asian life force at your energy and that is also obviously has to relate to kidney function itself so you take a look at where the problem is when it occurs and it gives you a little bit of evidence of how to follow through and actually dissected because it's not about treating the symptoms this is about getting rid of the problem so it never comes back again and you have to do diligence to make sure that you're asking the right questions that direct you into the right treatment at all from the results in the elimination of the problem not the symptom and that's how we approach all things triple eight six three zero nine six two five let's go to the phones Melanie how can we help you hi yes thanks for taking my call thank you for question about restless leg syndrome specifically I a total knee replacement about five weeks ago and ever since that from day one after surgery I can't believe I'm awake all night leg jumping all over the place the doctor said sometimes that's the side effect of the net the Doral by I don't know if you have any suggestions on how I just can't go for the rest of my life like that no no no should you in it we're going back to you have to look at the muscle patterns that that make up the knee and its ability to move and so forth so you have your thigh muscle which is the quadriceps from Mars muscles for muscles there yet another muscle that goes over the top from the front of your hip all the way down to the inside media portion of your name is called the sartorius muscles along as muscle in your body you have your area to be a ban on the outside you have the hamstrings in the back and so forth so all these muscles have to work in concert with each other they have to work in a very specific motion of one firing the other one not far and often what happens with any surgical procedure the muscle itself is injured because of the surgery having surgery is not just well let's get it done so it back up and everything's cool and then you know you have if you had a total total knee replacement in other they cut off part of the bone they're hammering in other pieces and so forth so now you have the better trauma so all of these things can trigger affects not only at the knee but far reaching and because of a muscle organ patterns because of acupuncture relationships and so forth so the first thing you have to do is find out which muscles are not firing properly and then you fix those if there is a decrease in levels of magnesium in the body your muscles are going to cramp up and they're going to miss communicate properly critically after surgery that's that's again an injury as a trauma and take certain things to do that yeah I think it is going with what Tom is talking about the body has a tendency to try to protect itself and I would give an example you've had the surgery we have some people lot of times and somebody comes walking in and they'll have like a hamstring that's very very tight so there's a tendency to go to the hamstring worked a hamstring out the problem is is that sometimes the hamstrings doing what it's supposed to be doing it sets another muscle that actually is turned off the hamstrings taking up the taking up the slack in causing the the cramping that's there you've got a look at all those mechanisms Alwi around kinda re bring that back on the plate need to re were you bring that for example in this particular case I have quite a few people come in hamstrings tight we look at some of the growing muscles and find the right muscles are weak get the bounce back in and everything starts working better so when you bring it down to five the inhibition if you will the muscles that are not firing and you reset those properly you move them out you know we're talking about muscles that have nerves that go to the listeners in the lower extremity mean your legs come from your love back they have nutritional pathways that have to be supported we talked a lot about magnesium another one is vitamin B. twelve and folic acid that has to do with fashion the covering of all the muscles so anytime you have a perfect storm if you will something is set up you know to go bad to begin with and now you intervene with the trauma surgery even though that is is doing something to to try to help you out if you don't reset all those in this room saying you have to look outside the box you have to look outside the name what else is in Florida it will be the foot as well and you know the the foot at that point is not going to be in a normal gait pattern simply because of the muscles that have influenced the Negro die you know the old song the craziness and the the foot bones collected ankle bone connected on this okay it's very much like that and it's you know it's an old song that we as kids we sang in our mother saying to us but in this particular situation is very true if you can identify you can fix it what I would suggest you is this first of all if you have if you.

"Who was brought in doctor Scott Gottlieb who in a New York Post editorial came out blatantly instated that cigars sh premium cigar should not be regulated by the FDA it's a waste of time it's a waste of money kids don't smoke cigars you're barking up the wrong tree and I remember reading that on the air making big mention of it when he was appointed as the commissioner of the FDA thinking he's going to do something great he realizes that premium cigar should not be regulated by the FDA and what did not Dr Scott dot Lee do not a damn thing he was lame and flaccid and impotent as they come I'm trying to rein in the tobacco control unit of the FDA there is the head of the F. of the tobacco unit is name is Mitch Zeller I column Mitch zealot because that's exactly what he is he is a zealot zealot Zeller Dr Scott Gottlieb runs the shore did run the show Zeller reports the got league what got leave do let the bureaucrat run the show really unacceptable by somebody that doesn't care about enjoying cigars and being a cigar connoisseur in public Rudy guiliani now Rudy is you know the former mayor of New York and the personal attorney to president trump and sometimes a character that runs his mouth sit too often a time specially the last number of months but interesting story in the New York post's page six the big gossip column on the eve of the house of representatives voting on Donald trump's impeachments worry guiliani was unperturbed enjoying a stogie at his cigar club the former mayor scene in a private back room at the members only cigar bar the grand Havana room on Fifth Avenue a spy said Gee I wonder if this is one of the the spies other works in the FBI that illegally enacted some sort of spying operation on Rudy smoking a cigar operation clandestine puffery we'll call it quote he was puffing away on a cigar looking like he didn't have a care in the world he was in a private room behind a curtain with a few men so scandalous Rudy guiliani enjoying us a car with other men the scandal the help rage ridiculous now Rudy guiliani love cigars effect is a great picture down to put drone headquarters down in little Havana Miami of him coming in and smoking for drone cigars everywhere he goes different cities you'll find a local cigar retailers been in Charlotte tease but here in Tampa you name it you'll spot him he's happy to puff away I've spoken to him on the phone he was with my buddy captain site and they both have a cigar together and no problem and I think it's great that he enjoys cigars he's not afraid to show that he's a smoke cigars how many people get Bill Clinton is like I I don't smoke cigars I just you want him only he smokes cigars the secret service used to run out and buy cigars over Georgetown tobacco form but of course I've never smoked and then if Hillary knew I smoke about be in real trouble I don't smoke a cigar the only time he admitted to smoking cigars when one of the pilots that had been shot down I can't remember where was in Bosnia Herzegovina wherever somewhere he was recovered and he decided to go out on the on the balcony and smoke a cigar that was the only time he publicly admitted to it and there's speculation that Rudy guiliani had been at the grand Havana room before an explosive interview in two thousand eighteen so scandalous Rudy guiliani going to the grand Havana room absolutely ridiculous those of you that remember the cigar Dave officers club we have a fantastic selection of that you will be receiving any day now in fact some of you may have already received it it is the Gregory all introduced to rave reviews at the premium.

"The drugs the surgery the things that are going away my guess in studio doctor Scott lap of beer host you're presented this Wednesday evening at the result center for healing in Fairfax Dr Scott welcome back again yeah let's talk about this set was go back to the incidence of this and and talk about why we're seeing such an increased prevalence of these two joint space is breaking down what's the deal well I think one of the things we just talked about this the alignment situation but I think in activity plays a part here too and we talked about the blue zones before in activity this people are always mark costly moving on walking and things of that nature where sitting society we're doing more things are in front of computers and that kind of thing that creates a problem for the integrity of our joints we gotta get the joints moving and flowing as a good range of motion we have things called cartilage that actually need to be fed through the holes here's a joint we start walking sometimes and we don't use the whole joint actually feed that Cartledge you need that whole Cartledge to be moved and we're losing ranges of motion that can accelerate some of the problems that we have here we talked about shoes shoes can sometimes create a problem this as a bipedal person we're supposed to have when we do he'll strike here he'll hits the ground it's those display this toes out the toes are supposed to grip we don't get that with their shoes so much and we start losing things like toe extension of our toes or the flexion of our kind like the the ankle does it go into what they call Dorsey flexion fully or do we extend our like back fully that's going to start creating problems in shortening up our movement and we do that we start building up when he's possibly some scar tissues and things of that nature and things don't work as well yeah we we both treat a lot of athletes and does a lot of trauma there's a lot of alteration of blood supply to recognize faces there's muscles that are misfiring in our business we we have muscle organ patterns we have nutrition that's related to certain muscle bound pathways and so forth but in today's world particularly in the good old United States we have so many modifications of our food sources Jim all have actually so yeah does this add to it by because an increase inflammatory cascade yeah because what happens is we we we have a certain amount of th leeway into our body has irritation once we foods that are inflammatory nature that's gonna possibly bring us up a little bit more inflamed and very easy to irritate something's her coverage time comes extremely less and we take a look at places where you like and to make a three is is very very important in the diet this a lot in the fish base and we find it even in the United States doesn't have a lot of make a threes in the in the body as opposed to some of the other countries and it is an anti inflammatory piece we don't have that or we don't have we have a minimal amount of that so we're not getting the proper nutrition to run these systems for our bodies which unfortunately deficiencies we don't have Agnese humans think that sometimes are not put in our fertilizer foods and food one itself is is like you said it's a huge huge huge piece or has a has an interesting thing I was reading an article the other day that you know has supported all the things that you say and that we've taught our patients over time you know the the traditional approach and somebody has joint pain particularly hip and knee pain as you know taking and sat right straight line which is yeah right the problem is that yes it knocks down the inflammatory pathway but it competes for receptor within the joint that attracts something called a sulfate I am the sulfate ions is what actually heals the joint of the cartilage and then subsequently if the competitions there the soft and I can't do it so you have rapid degeneration the text yeah it it stops raining part of the family processes to heal but if you put something the blocks everything it really doesn't he'll just covers up the pain until it goes and disappears and all of a sudden now I gotta do general the case it's actually increased to some extent so again our foods that were doing an over doing to ourselves.
Hepatitis A becomes health emergency in Florida
"One thing that has definitely been making news is this site is a outbreak and you know it well it made a little bit of news last year and then and you don't hear much about it because that was all about the measles and mumps outbreak you know that really was expected to be able to talk about the mumps outbreak yet here we are Florida has declared a public health emergency over its ballooning hepatitis eight cases now I bring this up even though we're gonna be talking more about marijuana a little bit later in the show but appetite is eight could be spread hi poorer hygienic practices poor hygiene practices in fast food and restaurants also in homeless populations etcetera and so here we have Philadelphia has declared a public health emergency Philadelphia fairly is out of a hundred fifty four cases I wait to see the numbers coming in from from Florida but the numbers are staggering and I have a does a originally started in two thousand sixteen there was the I think the most recent outbreak started then they said it was over but cases can't kept on surfacing it started in southern California they believe it happened during in some of the homeless populations after bags were one theory is after plastic bags were banned in California the homeless people will be going through the garbage and using those bags to partake in and so they would just can't use a plastic bag whatever so without plastic bags there's not a lot of and there's not a lot of bathrooms and things like that the homeless people have easy access to there was a widespread spread we found out that in southern California they had to actually start passing out backs it's almost populations of those other things so Martin and Brevard counties in Florida Armonk seventeen better call critically impacted by the hepatitis a virus scored using today they're the main concern for Florida public health officials and the reason the state Surgeon General declared a public health emergency former Surgeon General doctor Scott Riske's said Friday he believes the declaration will make people take the matter more seriously the number of people diagnosed of Florida in Florida keeps increases of right now there's ten cases per hundred thousand people and the fifteen counties affected our citrus blades Hernando Hillsborough lake liberty manatee Merion okay chill the orange Pasco Pinellas county some for Taylor the list and right now just across their state they have two thousand hepatitis eight cases and we talked about hepatitis A. why would be a public health emergency well there's two reasons one is hepatitis A. affects the liver it's a virus that affects the liver can shut down the liver we don't see as many cases of death and cancer with hepatitis a like you would with PNC but still it could cause vomiting jaundice liver failure hepatitis a is nothing to play around with symptoms could be nausea vomiting diarrhea abdominal cramps yellowing of the skin because as the liver enzymes get killed and inflame the destroyed the break up and their liver enzymes you know it us to creep into the blood and then your liver supposed to be making vile vile helps break down food and fats well if your liver is not working then and the bile doesn't have a nice smooth path to do what it needs to do you start getting build up of those components and I use for getting this yellowish look to use so whatever your friend looks yellow in a look at the whites of their eyes look at the palms of their hands if they have a yellow glow they could have liver disease not necessarily hepatitis but liver disease so we don't mess around with that but what I hear of these public health emergencies right you can't get hepatitis a technically by kissing somebody or sitting next to them on a bus you will have to be exposed to their you know you have to be exposed to something they you know might have had on their hands for the bath and apologize but if you guys are eating breakfast reading lunch or dinner but these are things that you know we worry about with restaurants etcetera and and ratings and so what worries me is if there is a public health emergency is it because Hey people are watching their hands and it's just not enough V. people are unclean see we have some real have fast hero protocols in restaurants or D. we have homeless populations that are growing and not you know being treated contains taken care of and you know having access to healthy people that and getting them second sport in it that way not all the cases are an almost baby patients so when we start getting outbreaks of clusters we start having more brewing more ability for a virus to mutate and so I you know I agree with the state save okay without a clamp down you know we gotta start you know allocated funds and we need to start educating the public now I notice a lot of you guys don't watch chance you'll shake hands he won't wash hands you know glasses at a restaurant I went out to eat was great restaurant you know do I examine the glass to see if I see somebody else's lipstick on their no they don't do I check to see if the staff in the back or scratching you know some of the people most protected against these diseases are those of us who worked in a restaurant I hate to say that because you know we've seen a lot we see what people have done and I don't want to all of us become obsessive compulsive about you're not touching anything anybody else's touched we need to be exposed to other pathogens to gain our immunity but there's a lot of crappy things
