Warnock Defeats Walker in GA Runoff

"Morning, glory, America, bonjour, high candidate. I thought you need a little happy music since the Republicans got beat in Georgia last night. Congratulations to senator Warnock and his reelection, Herschel, you did a good job. It's not good enough. First time candidate disease. Final score, 51 to 48. 51.4% to 48.6%. Three point win. Not closed, no cheating involved, just a great turnout for Warnock, a better organization. And Herschel the first time candidate and not a very good one at that. And it goes into the category of first time candidates who failed this year. That includes, of course, Kerry Lake and Blake masters in Arizona, Doctor Oz in Pennsylvania, her show on those four will be held up for a long time, as well meaning people who had enough money, and enough time, and a week enough opponent that perhaps they ought to have won, or someone could have won that race. But not a first time candidate who made first time mistakes and especially a first time candidate closely aligned with Donald Trump. I think it's fair to say that if the former president had not encouraged her or she wouldn't have number one, I thought her she was a very good man. I enjoyed interviewing him. I met him in person down there. Don't give it between Herschel and a Georgia football fan. And I wish him well. He did a good trot, but I'll bet you he wasn't prepared for this. And I'll bet you he did not realize that you asked for the left of this country or the right of this country to go after an opposite number, they will find out everything you've ever done, and they will find they will get your son and they'll get your son to turn against you and they'll get your friends and family to say bad things about you and they will find the dirt and you lose it and they will throw questions at you relentlessly about anything other than say China. And it's not a great place to learn how to be a politician.

Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing Return to Discuss the 2022 Midterms

"This little clip from our body. One of the few good people left at Fox, Jesse waters. So what's going on here? Elections used to be decided on election night. American Idol can handle millions of votes in a commercial break, but it takes Arizona, Nevada a week. None of it makes sense because they don't want the system to make sense. The longer some of these races drag out for, the better it is for Democrats. Because they've created a system centered around ballots, not votes. It's not about winning your vote anymore. It's not about persuading you. It's about flooding the state with as many ballots as possible and getting them filled out Democrat. So here's my thesis. And the title of the article was the 2022 anti election. Because it wasn't an election. We didn't go to the polls and then choose the candidate we thought was best. Basically, one side mobilized ballot collection for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks, and if you look at Pennsylvania, 50 days of voting, half of the votes were cast before federman debates, Doctor Oz, so that's an election. It's simply the mechanics of collecting lots of pieces of paper, having them filled out. So my contention is an I don't know if it's bad of me to say this, whether it's undemocratic of me or against Republican values, our job is to out organize the Democrats. If we can't, if they have gone for 50 days of voting and mail out ballots, well, we just have to be better at that game. No, but let me point something out to you. What political party was the governor of Arizona for the last four years? Well, I know, because when Joe and I worked after the 2020 election. When I meet Dillon on the show on Wednesday after the election and she's in Arizona and the RNC warham and she's trying to explain to me how the GOP ran out of printer cartridges on election day and I assure you something the DNC wouldn't run out of cartridges to print ballots for their voters on election day, right, Joe. No question about it. We were out organized outspent out harvested out ballot collecting. I mean, the GOP has to completely redo its model because of mail out batting balloting. Which agreed to. Probably can't fix, right? We can't fix the law. We can't return to one day voting. Once it's the law, it's the law. And the

"Can you guess? How much more freaking money did Mark Kelly raise over Blake masters? Can you guess? I want you to put a number in your mind right now. And I'm guarantee you what I'm about to tell you about the blow that number out the water. Mark Kelly ray 73 million dollars. 73 million. Blake masters raised 9 million. I'm about to walk out the set. I'm about to walk off the set. I'm about to walk off the show. 73 million versus 9 million, of course there's mastro. 46 million. 12 million. The Hassan and New Hampshire, 36 million. Balduk. I think it's how you say his name, boulder. 2 million. Fetterman 52 million. Doctor Oz 37 million. Warnock 75 million. Herschel Walker 32 million. Was the Race Stolen From Dr. Oz? Mike Lindell Weighs In

"I'm talking to our friend Mike lindell about the election, Mike. So you just said basically that the race was stolen from Doctor Oz by the Democrats. Now, my question is, why wouldn't he get involved in contest that? Why would he just say to fetterman, I can seed why? Wait, wait, I don't know. I can't answer that for us. I haven't talked to him, but I have talked to Doug mastriano, and he is not conceding. And everyone says, well, he lost by a huge amount, my, no, they just told him by a huge amount. And when you say Democrats, be careful, Eric, remember you got Brad rauschenberger down in Georgia that steals the elections like they're going out of style down there with his little dominion machine. And he's a Republican Republican. This is a uni party everybody. This is what we're up against.

Mike Lindell Reports on What He's Discovered in the Midterms

"You know, Doug, who is doing this and are you talking about like are these the absentee ballots that were put in and they put that in up front? What are we talking about? Good question Eric. This is why we told everybody and we believe that this was a big part of saving this election. We told everyone our real president Donald Trump told everyone, vote the day of and go in there and vote JF, don't vote early. We told everybody that it's a lot harder for them to steal on the day of. They weren't prepared for it. They were prepared in Brazil. When they took Brazil, the 5.1 million votes were taken from barcelo in this last election in Brazil. So they could lose their country forever. We're praying for Brazil. It is exactly what you say. It's the mail in ballots, the early voting, those are all coming through as they're coming through the Edison. You're seeing the order they came in. So as the votes are put in, you can't go negative. And you certainly can't go, you can't put this many votes in. When you had a given example, Doctor Oz and fetterman, every time a Doctor Oz caught up and you can see these graphs on frisbee, every time he caught up, the injected 90,000 votes into fetterman in real time. So here's 90,000 catches up again. Here's another 90. 560 some thousand votes were injected into fetterman. I mean, Pennsylvania is as red as their as red can be. They stole them all there, okay?

How Blake Masters and Kari Lake Can Win Arizona

"Steve Cortez, you're optimistic about Arizona. That's fascinating. Tell me why in the case of both Carrie Lake and Blake masters. Yes. Well, in the case of Carrie Lake. I think it's clearer there that there remaining batches of ballots that are outstanding and not Charlie Turk by way did a great job to get into all the details of this. But when you look at it just mathematically in terms of the probability where the remaining votes are, the percentages that she has already accrued in those very jurisdictions and the total outstanding. It's very likely that not only is she going to win, but actually by a reasonably comfortable margin. I don't mean 10%. But I mean, by a few percent. And I think she has made that case quite well herself as have others who have looked deeply into the numbers. Now, it's much less clear on Blake masters. I will admit that. But I'm facing my optimism there, primarily on talking directly to him and to his campaign team. They believe that it's going to be very, very close, but on a similar trajectory in half as Carrie Lake just not as numerically big a margin. I want to say, by the way, speaking of reasons why we underperformed. And again, we're going to take the house, I believe we're going to take the Senate. So there are also reasons to rejoice. But at the same time, it's like an athletic team wins, but didn't play as well as they should have. They should be introspect. Every good coach does that to a team. Okay, you won, but I'm actually going to be across you than if you lost. Because you underperformed. Another reason looking at underperformers. Why is Blake masters in this? This showdown was apparently being a photo finish. A big part of the reason is that Mitch McConnell decided to use his tens of millions of dollars as massive war chests on fights that are ultimately futile, for example, on Doctor Oz in Pennsylvania, a terrible candidate who never should have been our nominee or on the intra Republican Party feud in Alaska rather than giving one penny. He didn't spend anything on Blake masters in Arizona. And even if Blake masters ultimately loses, he clearly was an incredibly effective candidate to come this close and I think he's going to win, but I'm saying even if he were to lose, he has proven that he's an incredibly effective candidate as a newcomer to politics to take on an incumbent well funded senator like Mark Kelly and take him right down to the wire.

We Need New Republican Leadership

"Most pressing issue now is what to do about Republican leadership in the House of Representatives and the Senate and the RNC. And folks based on some information that's coming out. I can tell you that if we are going to have a shot at at really transforming the Republican Party and advancing a truly conservative agenda, an agenda that does not mean waving a white flag of surrender and handing over our majorities to the Democrats, we are going to have to have new leadership. Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell, ronna mcdaniel. They got to go. They've got to go. And with all due respect, we have to make sure our elected leaders are not endorsing candidates because somebody at Fox News channel told them so. If you're looking at if you're looking at the Pennsylvania race right now and with John fetterman, who is the senator elect just remember that it was Sean Hannity, who told Donald Trump that Doctor Oz was the guy. That was that's on Hannity. But this is what happens when you select candidates based on name recognition only or based on celebrity instead of actual instead of actually having an opinion or having a center base where you know this is what this person believes.

As the Votes Are Counted, The GOP Needs to Do Some Soul Searching

"Political side of things, I am kind of hoped by now. We have some more answers, but at present it looks like it's going to take a little bit of time. It's going to take a little bit of time before we can safely say that the GOP has the house. It looks like that might happen. But again, you got to be careful until every last vote is counted. In calling any of these things. And then simultaneously, you have a Senate, which doesn't look like it's going to be conservative after all, and that's because of some notable losses, including Doctor Oz, they're in Pennsylvania. I had been a little bit reluctant on him all along only because he didn't quite have the same pedigree as, by the way, the guy who I think should have run, who was the Bridgewater guy. The pedigree in terms of having lived there and from there, most of his life. And I think that that sort of came through for people and came through for voters. So there's that situation Maggie Hassan, I told you, remember the other day, on the show that she would be very, very hard to beat in the state of New Hampshire, a state I know very, very well. Maggie has and I can tell you somebody who New Hampshire voters like because she's not too liberal, but she's sort of mainstream and it's not that populist state. So I think having Don Baltic there was going to be unfortunately for the country and for New Hampshire, not a successful endeavor. This is time for a regrouping. I've settled along with a lot of the policies of the previous administration that made a lot of sense. Certainly from an economic perspective, certainly from an international security perspective, and certainly from a domestic perspective in the analysis we're trying to do is really promote American values, American work ethic, American productivity, all the things that would make us stronger as a country, but

"Of candidates actually matters. If we talked about Doctor Oz, and the fact of the matter is, that the good people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania decided they would be better off with a brain damaged man who has a Bologna role on the back of his neck. He's the better choice than Doctor Oz. That's on the that's on the people of Pennsylvania. But let's get real for a second. How many times on this radio program did we tell you that Doctor Oz was not a good candidate? Yes, he got the Trump endorsement. But just because you get the gold seal of approval from Donald John Trump does not make you a good candidate. And Doctor Oz was a lousy candidate. We all knew he was a liberal. We all knew he was pro abortion that he wanted gun control that he was in support of these mutilation surgeries for kids. We all knew that. And then for the guy to turn around and to say that all of a sudden, he's had some sort of a transformation in his life. Come on. We're not stupid. But there you go. It was a bad candidate. We had a choice of good conservatives. Look at Herschel Walker, Herschel may very well pull out. I don't know the wind there. "John fetterman to defeat Doctor Oz, we are hearing now that tight Senate race, the Democrats now have a good chance of possibly retaining control of the Senate. CBS News correspondent Steve Keith and Steven portnoy joined pollster Monica McDermott to discuss more of the morning's developments. Now on the house side of the capitol, the picture is a bit murky. I think it's fair to say at this point, is that a red wave has not materialized. Certainly not a red tsunami. CBS News still sees the house leaning in the Republicans direction. But if there's going to be a Republican majority in the House, they need 218 votes. The Republicans will fall far short of some of the historic gains that we have seen the out party make in a first president's president's first midterm. For example, 12 years ago, in 2010, under Barack Obama, Republicans gained 63 House seats that year. In 2018, under Donald Trump Democrats gained 41 House seats. It remains to be seen how many seats the Republicans are going to pick up here. But it's probably not going to be. Anywhere near 60 or 40. Maybe in the low two dozens, if that many. And it's not clear because we have so many races still outstanding, Steve. Stephen portnoy, thanks. Let's take a quick dive into some of the exit polling information CBS News pollster Monica McDermott is here. Demographics. Tell us about that. Well, what we're seeing is that the national House race is leaning towards Republicans and a lot of that has to do with the electorate as it looks right now. You've got low democratic turnout this time around, only 33% of the electorate are Democrats compared to 37% in the past two elections. There's also a higher income electorate this year in 2018 the last midterm, 33% of voters were earning over a $100,000. This year, we're seeing 37% of the electorate earning that much. You've got more gun owners this year, 46% in 2018 compared to 53% now, also first time voters who have traditionally broken for Democrats this year are favoring Republican House

But for him to win, we would kind of take a miracle, but I believe in miracles, I believe it's possible for the people of Pennsylvania to come to their senses. It looks good for Doctor Oz. What are some of the other races? Pennsylvania is a tough lift on both races. And I don't know why it is, to be honest with you, Eric, because corruption and Philip fetterman is an absolute vegetable. And it's not his own fault. He had a stroke, but he wasn't taking his meds. There were things he did that caused the situation that he has. But you can not send someone who's incapacitated to represent your state in the United States Senate. You have done it before. "Quick looking at the polls, they lie, they're deceptive in the polls. They'll tell you that, to stop people from raising money for certain candidates by saying Carrie Lake is way ahead in the polls. And then people get out there and they got away for three hours and they go, she'll hate anyway, so I'm just gonna go home. That's what they want you to do. Forget the polls in Arizona for Carrie Lake. Forget the polls for Doctor Oz. Forget the polls for Herschel Walker. Forget the polls for all these people. And whatever state you're in that you have to vote in. Forget the polls. They said Donald Trump had no chance of winning in 2016, but get the polls. You just need to make sure you show up and you cash your vote from Republican all the way down ballot. I used to say, do the research note Republican all the way down ballot. Republican all the way down about it. And if there is a judge that is Republican, a vote, Republican, and a conservative manner, you go for that judge. I don't care who these people are. Never vote for a Democrat again. That's my solution to the problem. These Democrats aren't who they used to be. They are very evil set of people, the Democrat politicians. How Jennifer Horn Is Feeling 6 Days Out From the Midterms

"We're 6 days out. How are you feeling? I feel good. I actually feel really good. Maybe and you know, but here's the thing, I'm an optimist. We know this. I always feel good, but I feel good for good reason, I think. What I'm watching is not necessarily the polling about Doctor Oz and John fetterman or Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock. What I'm looking at is the polling about voting groups, likely voting groups, and I don't know if you saw the poll that came out from The Wall Street Journal today. Maybe you've talked about it already. No. But white suburban women have grown in support of Republicans by 16%. And they even ask the question if the 2024 presidential election were held today, 55% would vote for president Trump. I hang on hang on, hang on. We've been told for 6 years that they hate him. The white suburban women hate president Trump. They're back. What happened? They're back because I think personal freedoms were taken away from their families from their kids. The crime is a huge problem. You have to figure out if you want gas or groceries. There are all sorts of issues those kitchen table issues that Glenn youngkin in your state of Virginia talked about that brought white suburban voters to the table with him. They're now back on board if you believe the polling numbers on The Wall Street Journal. This is a huge piece of the winning strategy for the Republican Party. And even more than that, a survey that came out last week talking about Latino voters and about black voters. Latino voters support Republicans now, and this is just in a generic matchup. Who's better at serving the country, Republicans are Democrats. 40% of Hispanics say it is Republicans. Now, that's not the majority. But we don't need the majority of black and Hispanic voters. Black voters up to 20% both of these groups have gone up 8% since 2020 alone. View figure we picked up 8% of black support, 8% of Latino support, we are on the precipice of something really big. And I think now it is up to Republicans. Once we get past election day, they better deliver.

"Have said on the podcast, I've said other interviews that I've done that I wish John federman the best and getting better. I do not wish John fetterman to be in the United States Senate getting trying to get better. We need people who are not conservative. Number one, but also able to do the job from day one. And that's Doctor Oz would be able to do the job. Whereas veteran, frankly, the so many questions were left open the other night in the fact that it could be simply do the job. You're not going to have closed captioning everywhere you go. You're going to have to start having to be able to process that. Is that something that in years to come, he can get better with? Sure. But right now, it's not. This is an important seat. It is still very much up in the air and it's mainly an importantly because this would be a Republican hold. We do not for conservatives do not need to lose this seat because if they do, then they have to win two others to make sure that the Republicans gain control of the United States Senate. Now, we've looked at that saying Arizona and Nevada and probably Georgia are pickup seats that look like the Republicans can and will take. But you never want to leave that margin as close as it can be. You would always good to have a couple of seat margin as you go forward. So look, I'm going to talk a little bit more about debates as we go, but this federman performance the other night was awful. And if you don't believe it, just listen, all you have to do is over the past week, you can listen to what has been said by the liberal media from the view to others. "That's exactly what we're doing. So when I'm a kid and I'm strapping three bottle rockets together to see what happens. And I set the neighbor's field on fire. This happened. I was being a scientist. Exactly. Exploring my world. Precisely. Experimenting. You were having fun, you were learning, and that's the thing. To play is the best way to learn. To go out and have fun and explore and ask hard questions and get weird and get messy and make mistakes and get uncomfortable, that's the best way to learn because you have your little comfort zone where you know what you know, but that's not where anything interesting is. You can make that grow and the coolest stuff will still be on the outside of it. That's the whole point of science. Every time you answer a question, two more questions pop up. It's like a Hydra. You can never defeat it. You're always going to be more and more curious. And you're never going to be bored, but one of your apologists interlocutors is going to be like, well, science changed its mind here in science was wrong about that, right? Yeah. And thank goodness because that's why you're not having your blood drained out of your body to balance your humors when you get a cold. Because science changed its mind. We learned new stuff and we changed our mind. How wonderful. Imagine if you were on trial for murder. And somebody said what a creationist would say, you know? Oh, well, I mean, I didn't see it happen. So were you around when that went on? How can we possibly know? Well, I read it in this pamphlet that he did it so he did it. Is that a fair trial? Is it fair to say, well, here's new evidence proving that this guy wasn't there. Yeah, but the evidence always changes its mind. Who are you really gonna trust? Mirror this random pamphlet. Like, there's no way for it to be fair with that situation. You're either gonna let somebody off the hook because you don't know how to think, or you're gonna hold somebody accountable because you somebody told you to, you're never gonna have a fair and realistic trial, unless you can move your mind with the evidence. And it's the same thing with science. If I can prove to you proof positive that pick your favorite thing that plate tectonics is real, that gravity is real, that cells are real, that atoms are real. These are all theories that tell us about the universe around us. Then that should be good for you to know that there's all this evidence for it. And if I find new evidence proving that those things aren't real, you would be really dumb to continue believing the thing that we've now proven isn't real, right? That would be kind of silly in any case. You just brought us full circle back to flat earth probably, didn't you? Oh my God. Good to see the documentary. It's called behind the curve. A bunch of flat earthers set up experiments. And the experiments proved that the earth was not flat, and they said, well, we need to go back and fix our experiments. Yes. Right? Yes. The problem is, there are experiments are incorrect. We have to be results oriented. Let's make the result of guarantee, which precisely. But I mean, back to my original point, this is seen as a weakness. Science changing. It doesn't know where the capital K doesn't have the answer with the capital a, therefore it is unreliable. But I always think of that line when you know better you do better, right? And science is always sharpening. It's knives. So to speak. Can I see that as a net positive? Yeah, and there's no other what I can't get around this is that when you talk about this kind of thinking, whether it be creationism, whether it be flat earth, whether it be anti vax, or it'll be whatever any kind of anti science rhetoric. There's never a situation where you would use that same line of thinking anywhere else. There's never a time when you're going to say I learned new information that proves me wrong, therefore I was right in the beginning and this new information must totally be like. You wouldn't do that at any other time. They're always making a special exception using a totally different line of thinking for this one thing that they want so badly hold on to. If you had a mechanic that told you putting Cheerios in your gas tank make your car go faster, it doesn't matter how long you've known that mechanic. It doesn't matter how old that mechanic is. It doesn't matter how many degrees and awards that mechanic has, they're a bad freaking mechanic, and you should listen to the next person that's like, here's what the evidence shows. Let's try gasoline. Since we're talking about misinformation, bad ideas, as opposed to scientific ideas. Ideas that have been tested and proven to work. We got the pseudoscientist. They're everywhere. The Internet's made it worse. People like Doctor Oz, right? Who has a pedigree? I don't know, I kept trying to think of it as Johns Hopkins or wherever he's from. And he looks great on paper, and then he speaks. Oh, you saw a clip a while back. He's talking about how his own urine tasted, and I think he and his wife did reiki healing, which is like some sort of an energy field. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got to manipulate somebody's life force or whatever. And, you know, all of this light therapy and I don't know, you get into this pseudo scientist. Yeah, this is why I always say, you know, a degree doesn't make you a scientist, there is no qualification or certification for being a scientist. The dictionary definition of scientists is somebody who has expert knowledge in or is studying science. Anybody can be a scientist. But like I just said, I'm going to go with a mechanic. If you have a really terrible idea in the terrible outlook of your field, you're bad at it, right? There are plenty of bad scientists out there with PhDs, and there are plenty of great scientists out there that have a bachelor's degree or less because they're able to follow what the evidence says and actually do their job. Yeah, but first, how do I know the difference? I see a PhD and I'm like, aha. It's really easy to fall prey to that. And that's one of the reasons why pseudoscience is so prolific on the Internet. Because anybody can get up there and say, well, I have XYZ to certification or I read in a book by some dude or I interpret this to mean this that anybody who speaks with any kind of authority and it's kind of charismatic and what they're saying can very easily trick a bunch of people who don't know how science actually works, which isn't their fault, lots of people don't need to know that. Then to thinking that some magnificent fantastical ridiculous thing is real. And you see people like Doctor Oz, who there have been actual accountings of his work that show that more than half of everything he says on TV is not freaking true, has no scientific backing, but it sounds really pretty, and it's the same kind of branding that you see on these, you know, whatever. If you eat this melon, then it'll remove the radiation in your body and stuff or bacteria, and viruses are actually just parts of our own cells that broke apart because our body is detoxing and we all detox at the same time of year because we're coded to the sunlight and that means that's why we have a flu season because we're all breaking down our old toxic cells and that's what looks like viruses and like I'm saying these things I'm not making this up. This is shit that I've heard and like this sounds just good enough and as just enough fancy scary words in it that somebody who doesn't know anything about biology is going to think it makes sense. And that's what's scary is the more you know about a topic, the easier it becomes to bullshit somebody but as you can say some jargon, some esoteric gibberish that fill somebody's head with doubt and fear and they think that you're the only answer. And that's where these vultures come from. These faith healers and herbal medicine pushers and snake oil salesmen, these people whose talk about things like crystal therapy and acoustic therapy and reiche and chakra manipulation and what's another one. The fascia release massage and all these things, like they just say some sort of scientific sounding word and you don't know what a crystal is, an electromagnetic radiation that sounds pretty freaking crazy. Like I bet that's some powerful stuff. It's light. That's the word for light. But it sounds crazy and I don't want that in my body. And so it's enough to get somebody who doesn't have a background on this field to think crazy things. In the same way, like I'm not up here on my high horse. I don't know shit about software engineering. If somebody

"The midterm elections. I talked to two people running for reelection in the house for their perspective on what's on the minds of voters with Republican Brian style of Wisconsin and Democrat Haley Stevens of Michigan. Plus we take a look at the tight Senate race in Pennsylvania between John fetterman and Doctor Oz. Did this week's debate change the minds of any voters. And I talked to the United States trade representative Catherine tye for her views on the U.S. relationship with China, the economy, and what her top priorities are right now. But first, with less than two weeks away from the midterm elections, Democrats have struggled with messaging on inflation and the economy. For The White House view on the state of the economy and reaction to this week's GDP numbers, I talked to council of economic advisers chair Cecilia rouse. The commerce department estimates that in the third quarter GDP grew about 2.6%. So that suggests that there is resilience there is strength in this economy even as the fed begins to the fed is going through its tightening cycle to team inflation. So if we were to get under the hood, what we saw is that there is continued resilience in consumer spending, but it did ease. So that is consistent with what the fed is trying to do. We also say that saw that businesses continue to invest. But again, that is slowing as the fed as we would hope. The big drag on the GDP last quarter was in housing investment. Again, that's the sector that we would think would be most sensitive and susceptible to the rate increases. The big win are the big wind in the growth of the GDP came from net exports. Yeah, we'll see how that gets revised, but overall what this report tells us is that the economy remains robust. It remains resilient, even as we're starting to see the kinds of cooling that I believe the fed is looking for. Well, and that's my question. Can you have this robust growth and get your arms around a place from the same time? Because a lot of people are very concerned as you know about inflation. Yeah, absolutely. So we also got unemployment insurance claims. They remain low as well, suggesting that our labor market remains quite low. This is an unusual economy. And we haven't had inflation in decades, but we also haven't had this kind of economic crisis. So I believe we have to follow the data and we obviously try to look around corners, but these data suggest to me that we are seeing the kinds of cooling that we would expect to be seeing as the fed increases interest rates. We will see what happens going forward. We know that the global economy is fragile. But we also know that the U.S. economy is resilient and we remain optimistic that there is a path by which the fed containment inflation without generating too much pain in the overall economy. Doctor Russ, perhaps an unfair question, but we hear from you, we hear from your college of the license. We certainly hear from President Biden all the time about the various steps being taken to make sure we have a lot of employment, the employment clearly is doing very, very well. And also that we try to address some prices, prescription drug prices, things like that. And yet if you look at polls, a lot of Americans don't have complete confidence in your management of the economy. Is that because they don't understand what you're doing, they haven't gotten the message, or is a question about your policies? Well, look, I believe these policies have been important to the American economy. It was the Biden administration's President Biden's policies that underwrote us getting through to where we are today on the pandemic. It puts shots into arms. It gives households and businesses and resources to get through the pandemic. The three signature pieces of legislation that invest in our physical infrastructure roads and bridges that bipartisan infrastructure Bill. The chips Bill, which has investing in critical manufacturing here in the United States. In fact, micron is announcing a $100 billion investment over 20 years to make semiconductors here in the United States and that's happening almost every week here in the United States due to the chips Bill. And most recently, the inflation reduction act, which makes the historic investments in the transition to clean energy, which we know we have to make. Also addresses key costs and prescription drugs and health insurance. So those are the kinds of investments that actually increase economic capacity, allows our economy to grow, which allows for us to absorb these kinds of shocks without generating inflation. So we understand, though, that inflation is too high. The president gets it. He's been working to get gas prices down. So as a result, they've been coming down for the last three weeks or so. But we understand that that's partially due to the war in Ukraine and we need to keep oil on the market. So we get it. Inflation is too high, but the president's policies have been really important for maintaining the health of the American economy. Doctor Weiss you mentioned the micron plan and upstate New York major investment. And goodness knows we've had a shortage of chips, although that seems to be turning around now, increasingly we're hearing from ship manufacturers actually demand is going down. And it raises questions at least for me about I will call it industrial policy. Are there risks in the government getting involved in things like making sure we have more capacity for so much conductors? Because those things can go up and down. Absolutely. So we understand we have to separate out the cyclical demand from what is more of a longer term trend. But what we know is these kinds of semiconductors are getting used in more and more components. They are getting used in components that are important to our national defense and therefore there's a national security element. This is

Dr. Jonathan Reiner: Dr. Oz Speaking Fast to Fetterman Was 'Cruel'

"It was very obvious that how, give one example, oh, well, doctor Jonathan Reiner, a Professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, said, hold my beer, Sonny. I'm a doctor, and I can tell you why Oz was cruel. Get ready for this explanation. I take care of people like mister federman, who have had atrial fibrillation, which is where we think his stroke came from, how it originated. And I admire his courage to go on that debate last night. He had to know that he was facing basically a fast talking TV Doctor Who at times seemed to be talking almost intentionally faster in the face of mister fetterman's difficulty speaking. Sometimes it appeared almost cruelly faster. He had to know that he would get the kind of reception that he got from that. And turn it off. Turn it off, I can't listen anymore of it. Doctor Oz was speaking fast. He was intentionally being cruel, but you can not make this crap up?

Brit Hume: Never Seen Anything Like John Fetterman's Performance

"Brit humes take Britt Hume over at Fox News has been around a long time and he was on TV last night. Telling Brett bear, he's never seen anything like it. Well, I have been watching this and covering this stuff for more than a half a century, and I've never seen anything like that performance by fetterman last night. I'm hearing some commentary and his defense that says, look, you know, he's just going to be elected to the Senate and the only thing that matters in the Senate is whether you consider the Senate floor and vote I, yay or nay. But anybody who's ever covered the place knows there's a lot more to it than that. You have to be able to debate on the Senate floor to venture points to defend them. The same is true if you're called upon to offer amendments that you have an amendment to a bill that's very important to your constituents. You've got to be able to make the case for it in committee. You got to build a defendant. You got to do the same thing on the Senate floor. You have to be able to engage your colleagues outside the Senate chambers and outside the hallways of the outside in the hallways and in their offices to round up support for what you're doing. All of those things are things that John fetterman, based on what we saw last night is not now capable of doing. It's pretty striking. Beyond striking, okay? Now, if that wasn't bad enough, how about leftists and people so desperate and afraid that there's going to be a big red wave in 12 days? That they went into overdrive, attacking Doctor Oz, who again, if you watch the debate, was an absolute gentleman was gracious, not one time did he mock or denigrate fetterman's clearly impaired condition,

A Montage of John Fetterman's Debate Performance

"Here's a little Salem news channel Montage of the shocking moments in the John fetterman, Doctor Oz debate in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania night before last. Hi, good night, everybody. He has never met an ear, an oil company that he doesn't swipe right about. It's about supporting and helping young earners. Young young students, to give them a break, I believe that supporting I do support fracking and all right, I support fracking and I stand and I do support fracking. I believe China is not our friend and I believe that we can't be able to push back. Our next star poll shows 51% of Pennsylvania voters disapprove of the president's job performance. You have publicly supported many of his policy positions. Are there any that you disagree with 30 seconds? No, I just believe he needs to do more about supporting and fighting about inflation, going through this kind of emotional schools, able to create a career to Wayne reach a lot of high salary and supporting reduce those costs are critical to. His family's company was, it was levy, the largest fine for in hiring of immigrate illegals. Now, again, this is unprecedented. We've never seen anybody run for office at this level in this condition. Here was Brit humes take Britt Hume over at Fox News has been around a long time and he was on TV last night. The Aftermath of Pennsylvania Democrat John Fettermans Rocky Debate

"I want to talk about fetterman, the debate between fetterman and Doctor Oz. I mean, it was a complete meltdown. When I say meltdown, fetterman, I mean, he can't even talk, he needs closed captioning. Like, bro, why are you even running for you had a stroke? And then you can't even interpret the human interactions. I mean, it's crazy. I just think it's crazy. I mean, why are we even having a conversation like this? How have we gotten to a point where fetterman is the only Democrat that could possibly run in Philly? I mean, running a Pennsylvania. How? The guy is mentally unwell. Joe Biden is dead. And fetterman is mentally unwell. Not only can he not interpret the, I guess, human interaction or the human voice, I don't know, he got to read close captioning. He lies. He got up there in line. In an article he said that he was against fracking. Then recently he said he's for fracking. Why can't these politicians just say, man, I was wrong? I speak to my constituency. I go to the community and I see what they want. I see what's necessary for our state. And that's what, and that's what I believe in. So I used to believe that fracking was a bad thing. I educated myself. I talked about constituency, and now I believe that fracking is a good thing, and I will support Frank from here on out. They can't they can't. Just be honest.

"Sadly, that was bad. I'm sorry. I was wrong. Sadly, it was sad. If I was his wife, I wouldn't have put him up, honestly. Now think about this. I give him credit though for having the stones to go up there. Katie Hobbs, no doubt, no stones, right? She won't debate Carrie lay because she knows Carrie Lakewood destroyers debate, right? But this was a bad move. They should never agree to this. They should have, they should have gone with the Joe Biden strategy of hiding them in the basement, doing very scripted televised, you know, things only and avoid all debates as much as possible. And they made a mistake. That's what they're doing in this one. When they talk to the independent people, they do some interviews after. All the independents like, listen, I was going to vote Democrat. I was kind of on the fence, but leading Democrat. But after seeing that, I'm a 100% made my decision to vote for Doctor Oz. It really, Doctor Oz was in any conservative Republican. I mean, he's a moderate. He's a moderate. Democrat, best case scenario. If I'm a Democrat, I'm looking at Doctor Oz going, thank God, we have a Democrat alternative to federman. I mean, to be honest with you, Doctor Oz is right. There's no conservative by any stretch and will be like a Chris Jacobs that votes for things like gun control, unfortunately. That's right. So yeah, you still prize. But at least he can speak, at least a guy can actually complete a sentence. Doctor Oz was very good because, of course, a TV personality. He did a very good job last night. I think maybe the strategy for fetterman was we're close. We might lose this thing. Let's put him out there and hope that Doctor Oz punches the retarded kid in the head. That's what they were hoping for, sadly. Yeah, well, and maybe if he reads off every response, as Joe often does. I think they were really hoping that Oz would attack them. I think they were hoping that I would look like that. Doctor Oz was attacking a handicapped person. And I think that's what they're hoping for. I don't know. Boy, when you start off with good night, everybody. And he's like, I mean, how could that be a winner? They made it. It was definitely a dumpster fire for him. We'll see. We'll see another few weeks. "11. And campaign 2022 now on double DT TOP, it is the U.S. Senate race that could decide the balance of power in the chamber next year. Democrat John fetterman versus Republican doctor mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania in a debate last night in Harrisburg, they started off with the why they're running. Here's Doctor Oz. I want to bring civility, balance all the things that you want to see because you've been telling it to me on the campaign trail. And by doing that, we can bring us together in a way that has not been done of late. And fetterman says he's running for everyone who's ever been knocked down in Pennsylvania and who has gotten back up to fight another day. I had a stroke. He's never let me forget that. And I might miss some words during this debate, two words together, but it knocked me down, but I'm going to keep coming back up. Joining us live on Skype Politico cofounder John Harris. Hello, John. Good afternoon, Hillary. So for everyone who watched, fetterman really struggled with his words throughout the debate and listening to all of you pundits this morning. I mean, folks found it very difficult to watch. Sure at times it was even painful to listen to him, try to struggle for the right word or to miss a word. And of course his campaign had laid the expectations for that. They said, look, this is not going to be his format. He struggles because of the stroke he had with auditory processing, but it doesn't have anything to do with his mental acuity or his ability to serve. We'll see if Pennsylvania voters found that convincing. It's obviously a very, very tight race. And a critical race for control of the Senate. For all the struggles that fetterman had, Doctor Oz wasn't gaff free either, especially at least in the eyes of some in this answer to a question about a federal abortion rights ban. I want women, doctors, local political leaders, letting the democracy that's always allowed our nation to thrive to put the best ideas forward. So states can decide for themselves. Is that something that could be bad for Doctor Oz here? Well, this race and there's actually many others Sean around the country are going to be a test of that. Democrats believe and they've got polling and some of the earlier results this year to suggest that the abortion issue is going to be a real advantage for them. For some other Democrats who say, look, we've overplayed that and other issues like the inflation and the economy are going to be stronger, but you can bet we're going to be hearing a lot about that answer. Obviously, and Democrats would say, it's not up to local officials. It's up to women to make that choice for themselves. You mentioned federman. Let's just go back to that for a second. That Pennsylvania race is so critical as are a few other states. Georgia, Nevada. How do you see it right now in terms of chances for Democrats and Republicans? Hillary, it's so hard to tell because this is a different election. We're seeing in registration and early voting that looks like turnout is going to be off the charts. So that shows a highly motivated electorate and likely a very polarized one. Because there's so much absentee voting in early voting, it's hard for me to know how much stock to put in this general sense that the momentum is actually shifting toward Republicans. We see the polls tightening up, ordinarily, you say, what that looks like kind of a difficult close for Democrats, but remember a lot of people have already voted. And unusual in a midterm election, people are really having tense feelings, highly polarized, highly motivated election. All right, John, thanks much. Thanks, John. Thank you. 'The View' Hosts Accuse Conservatives of Bullying John Fetterman

"If you watched any of the debate last night in Pennsylvania between John fetterman and Doctor Oz, fetterman is in a it's just in a completely inappropriate place to be trying to apply for a job, which is what he's doing here that would take such important ability to communicate cognitively and orally. He's in such a bad place and apparently you're not allowed to talk about that or it's considered bullying him. Sunny hostin or hostin or whatever she is, on the view, decided that if Doctor Oz talks about the prospect that maybe a stroke victim, who is clearly still suffering brain damage, maybe isn't qualified to serve because of his incapacity, that that's bullying apparently. Listen to this nonsense. Don't be fooled by that. It's really strange. It was really strange to me that he chose to bully a stroke victim. Yeah, right? He obviously was bullying him. And you know, I don't think the people of Pennsylvania were the people in general. Liked that because. Okay. Well, can we point something out here? First of all, before his stroke, John fetterman was and is an awful human being. Before his struck John fetterman, spent his time, advocating for the release of violent murderers. All the time, voting to parole them. Talking about hideous, horrific, violent crime, he wants them set free he is set on multiplications that he wants to reduce the prison population in Pennsylvania by a third and not low level nonviolent criminals, but violent ones, the ones that are indeed in prison for life without the possibility of parole.

He answered a listener's question about hearing on an ancestor's relationship and this person apparently kept quote smashing his cousin. I mean, who doesn't love a good cousin smashing in the south? You know what I mean? That's like a Tuesday, isn't it? Right. And this person said, no matter how much I want to stop, I always give it to her. The old college try. Wow. And he says, help me, what advice would you give? And so as said, if you're more than a first cousin away, it's not a big problem. He said, okay, second cousin is fine to smash, then another host is ha ha, you know it's so funny, 'cause I knew that, then DJ envy, I love all these names. How did you know that Charlemagne says, because I'm from the country, third cousins, it's all good. And I said, yeah, it's fine. Why is Doctor Oz using a word like smash? The Oz wasn't. It was the listener. Oh, okay, got it. Doctor Oz knows he's running for Senate in Pennsylvania not West Virginia, right? Yeah. Although they are down right next to each other. This did come from 2014. This is an old interview that just resurfaced. He said this is so weird. He said, I was went on with a basic explainer about how most people quote naturally crave people who are not so like us for the sake of maintaining genetic diversity. If I had one gene for let's say hemophilia, I don't want to marry a cousin who has it for obvious reasons because he goes, that's why children, girls don't like their fathers smell. Their pheromones will actually repel their daughters because they're not supposed to be together. My daughters hate my smell. I think he should shower. Yeah, I don't know if that necessarily to do with his pheromones. I don't think so. And then you said maybe you just smell and he said, well, my wife likes my smell. Oh gosh. If you have not thrown up at home, congratulations. You have more willpower than that. You weren't eating a bowl of cereal with water on it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So who do you want to cast in the movie about Donald Trump from 2015 to now? Well, I was thinking like Rudy Giuliani, how about Christian Bale? Oh. I'm thinking more Chris kattan. Yeah. Yeah, Chris kattan would be better. I think you're right. I think Kate McKinnon would be better than some of these guys. Christian Bale's two is looking to play Giuliani. And Sidney Powell, how about Kathleen debates? Kathleen Turner. Kathy Bates? Yeah. And she's tall. And Ginny Thomas's husband held about Lauren's fishburn. Lawrence fishburne has played a has played a villain before. Yes. I can thinking about these peripheral kind of people. How about this one? How about for Donald J Trump Junior Pauly Shore? Oh, yeah. Not cooked up. For Don Junior or Eric, either one, he could do both. Yeah. But not cokie vibe. That's the problem for me. Yeah. It's very busy still alive. Yes, he is. He would be a good Eric Trump. Yeah, I mean, there are just. But yes, I think in his younger years. Yeah. We could Benjamin button him. I remember what the hell he looks like. Gary, you see? He's still looks crazy. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. He's not the sanest person in the whole wide world. He's a human Chucky doll, right? Walking around, that's a little bit. My brother had to work with him a few years back and mister busey literally said he goes, when I get out of line, tell me I'm getting out of line. So he's aware that he's nuts. Good for him. You know. Okay, that's half the battle. It is half the battle. I mean, as long as he knows that he's wacky, at least he knows that to take somebody else in control over his whack. Over his whack. Okay, let's keep him moving. So did you watch any of the, well, you did, you were talking about how people were nasty to you with the Michelle Obama portrait on Twitter. Oh my God, it's horrifying. I had to turn off the comments. It's amazing when they got posted. All of these racist transphobic, awful trolls. Yeah, and Michelle's is just beautiful and good for you. Arms out, looking hot, looking classy, looking strong. I love it. I love it. I loved his description of his portrait saying he wanted his ears smaller and he talked him out of wearing a tan suit. It was nice to have comedy back in The White House. Dude, put a freaking shirt on once in a while. Put a shirt on, you slob, go put a shirt on. Yeah, the guy's a doctor. Like he actually had a job. Oh, no, he's on TV. Okay, queen. He was an open Hollywood guy. I don't dispute any of that. Not telling you to guys run the greatest campaign ever. Candidly, I think his campaign has been lackluster. But what does that mean? You're going to let this guy here, Jim, queue up. I got to play this. Here's fetterman. Here's 36 seconds of fetterman telling you he wants to empty the prisons. It Pennsylvania. "Well, are you saying like this? Telling our candidates. We got great candidates. And if you're not going to Trump drinking out of it. So Tom, are you pro abortion time? Hey Tom, Tom, let me ask you a question, are you a pro abortion do you support killing unborn babies Tom? No, I do not. Then why are you supporting Doctor Oz Tom? And Doctor Oz has not served. Okay. That's fine. So Tom. So Tom, so you went so you endorse a Canada who supports killing unborn babies. I support Donald Trump. If you're not a mega man then get out and quit sounding like Mitch McConnell. Time to get support this Second Amendment. Tom, do you support? You know, you can holler as much as you want to, Tom. I'm going to still ask my question, my microphone's a lot bigger than your phone. So here's the question. Do you support the Second Amendment, Tom? Do you support the Second Amendment, Tom? Absolutely. Well, guess what Doctor Oz doesn't? He believes there should be limitations on the Second Amendment. You're right to bear arms. But Tom, but that's okay because you're saying it's okay to give up your guns because Trump supports Doctor Oz. Is that what you're saying, Tom? Till he has a boat and record Todd, you are to keep your mouth shut and backing. If not shut up, just like you're feeling Mitch McConnell too. Tom, let me ask you another question. Do you support do you support transgenderism? Do you think little boys can become a little gross? Guess who does Tom, Doctor Oz, your candidate. So Tom guess what? Your mouth is saying one thing, but your vote and another way, Tom.

"Know about you, but you got to talk to me about Doctor Oz, so you executive produced for executive produce, so I was the executive producer for Oprah radio when they launched initially. It was called Oprah and Friends in 2006 on XM and then XM and Sirius drew together. And I oversaw that whole channel. And so yeah, I had a lot of interactions with Doctor Oz, we also took his show on the satellite and we took it terrestrially as well. And he was lovely. You know, I really have nothing negative to say. Doctor. He's on record saying it is not a heartbeat at 6 weeks before. Now, what happens to these people? Were they have to become right wing science denying lunatics? Even doctors, like him. Right, right. And just bending over for the former guy is just a stunning, I never would have seen it. And another person that I E peed for was Lisa Oz. So when mamet had a show on The Oprah channel, Lisa did as well, and it was a weekly show and it was very spiritually oriented. And for it, I can't fathom being super spiritual and thinking, okay, a 100% against abortion is a good thing. It blows my mind. Yeah. And it's sad and you know, that's why we got to fight back. Well, okay, our 1° of separation. I work for Oprah twice. For oxygen network. And I co hosted every Wednesday with Gayle king on the oxygen network. You also E peed for Gayle king, who we both said is the loveliest person. Lovely. Ever. Loveliest. The most the most gifted talk radio host that I have ever worked with. And I've worked with a lot. But she is just, you just, you got to switch on Gale, you turn her on. She can entertain you and make you laugh ten hours straight. The best stories were before we went on air on oxygen. And I got like the best stories ever. Including the one, I'm not even sure if possible to share. But it's still the best story ever it was funny. When Oprah was trying to get her library back from oxygen network oxygen executive actually said to her, I don't know. Can we see tape? I swear to you. I swear to God hand to God, Gail told me. Gail told me, someone said, which would be funny, even if Oprah didn't own it. Right. It still would be funny. Perhaps you know my work. 'cause I want to know what show she was pitching, which became Oprah after the show. Right. Which is that's how she got her library back. But come on, that's all right. Yeah, okay. Yeah. And then, yeah, and then I went to approach Oprah and Gail at a fundraiser for Obama at Oprah's place and Oprah's guards went not from behind. Don't approach miss winter but behind. And I said, but I'm Friends with Gayle. Gayle, tell them, hi, Gail. I'm Friends. Yeah, no, Gayle. I enjoyed working with Gail so, so much. You know, it's funny talking about her gift of the gab. On her final show. So they took our radio show and then they started shooting it for The Oprah Winfrey network, right? So then they made it into a TV show. And her final radio show, I took kind of a script that I usually do, which kind of just bullet points what she talks about. It was completely blank. I put it in front of her, and then we were live, and she was one of my supposed to do with this. I'm like, talk, like you always do, Gail. And it was probably one of the most entertaining two hours that, you know, with absolutely no plan. She just started telling stories and we were laughing our asses. The best episode of Ari melber lately was she happened to be somewhere he was filming. And she's like, hi, Ari. And she just went on the show by accident. So the other one Dr. Laura, I started with Dr. Laura at KFI here. Now, did you start screening for her? And did you ever tell anyone, hang up now? Hang up now. Don't. Because the people you're like, the people that win, I don't know, my husband, my boyfriend's still an addict, but I got pregnant by him. Is that okay? I'm like, no, hang up now. Hang up now. Back in the day. In the 90s, she was actually very talented and funny and self deprecating. And then I knew she said, yes, no way. I worked with her. Yeah. And then back to the ego thing, it's just like her she kept growing and kind of drinking her own spew and then she just became awful. But yeah, she was my mentor of sorts at KFI. I was a little tiny baby. Radio talk show. That's true. I was true. We were in opposite corners sucking our thumb avoiding her. What about doctor angelou? She had to have been amazing to work with. She was a spectacular human being. She was just fantastic and lovely and funny. She was so, so funny. I remember her executive producer at Oprah radio was a woman named Rita wack. And I said in front of doctor Maya, I said, is your producer doctor wackadoo? And she laughed so hard and to have doctor Maya Angelou laugh at your joke. Just so wonderful. So yeah, she was that was one of the greatest experience working with and for her. Wow. I only had one conversation with Oprah. She came in the room and then, you know, the people, the rivers, the Red Sea parted people, she was in front of me suddenly. And I think I fell on the ground and just did some funny whatever, and she just said, get up. That was it. That was pretty much. And then I said, Oprah. So that's what's the extent of mine. Contact with Oprah, but did she say did she say get up Stephanie? I don't think I don't remember. It's all blur. Okay. At least there were some familiarity if she said Stephanie. Yeah, right. Where she was aware of who I was. I bet you existed. I remember the first time when I started working at harpo and, you know, on the phones, it popped up over Winfrey. I'm like. I said, hello, and she said, are you afraid that the principal is calling you? I said, yes, I am. You did your Mary Keller more impression? Is that what that was? No, yes. All right. Listen, thorn in the USA is the podcast. I assume you get it wherever you get your podcasts, correct? Wherever you get your podcasts, yeah, just Google thorn in the USA podcast, and it'll pop right up. Well, I can't believe it took this long to meet you. Thank you, Beth lepidus, and come back anytime. Yes. Thank you. Thank you, thank you. I love you guys really spectacular. You're doing the lord's work. Well, Chris is an atheist. So whatever. I'll take it. It's okay. Take it. He's just doing some guys. Whether you admit to it or even know it, you're doing the lord's work, Chris. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you,

"Is riveting stuff. It is shocking. It's really funny. I was not prepared for it. To be perfectly honest with you. And you would think that as long as you and I have been sort of staring down the Utah state government and the Mormon church that we would have seen this coming, I mean, it's the kind of thing that makes perfect sense once you hear it. It's the kind of thing that you that doesn't, yeah, yeah, you kind of, you're like, oh, well, I guess they would do that. But it's also like, what the fuck? Yeah, we're gonna get into that second half of the show. Hopefully that teased you enough. Oh, do you feel teased? Yeah. Dirty birds. Dan. Yes. Are you as big a fan of Doctor Oz as I am? I think probably yes. But that means. That would be on the negative side. So not a fan at all. No. Yeah, Doctor Oz, if you don't know who Doctor Oz is, he's got he's the star of the Doctor Oz show. Which didn't kind of come on the heels of Oprah. What's on the world? I saw a tweet recently that was like, I love Oprah, but I will never forgive her for unleashing doctors Oz and Phil on the world. No kidding. Well anyway, Doctor Oz has announced that he's running for Senate. U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania and so it's alarming on the side of he's a quack. To be clear, these are distaste for him is not personal. It is because he is a doctor who promotes horrible bad science like bad pseudoscience nonsense. Yeah. Constantly. You know, he was behind all all behind the hydrochloroquine, the hydroxychloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine, yeah, thank you. And he's downplayed COVID deaths, he's promoted raspberry ketones for burning fat..

"You might choose in your voicemail You ready to go Let's do it then Here is your first quote Here we go again That was The Washington Post reacting to the news that there's yet another variant of COVID out there now What is this one called On the phone who knows it's Greek The variant just when we were getting over the delta variant here comes another one you think you're depressed Delta Air Lines is really regretting changing their name just last week to amiran airlines The sudden onset of this variant is a surprise scientist thought we'd be safe because I'm a crime was so busy plotting against the autobots This is the first one that doesn't have a brand sponsor because coronavirus Delta Air Lines and now I think I'm a cry came about because the guy who discovered it was like I'm gonna cry The World Health Organization knows that if they want to make us take these things seriously don't name them after letters of the Greek alphabet because we're not that worldly Like anything that's not our alphabet just sounds goofy to us If you want us to if you want us to set up and take note of the name of after something Americans are actually afraid of like cheeseless pizza or something or not universal healthcare is what is called the immigrant This next one is called the immigrant Now the virus of course is continuing to mutate primarily because so many people are still unvaccinated and it's very frustrating to doctors but can we get some cool mutations as opposed to ones that just make it worse Can we get like a variant that would also whiten your teeth or one that will make you into Wolverine That would be what I would love a third arm You mean you didn't get that with the third shot I got a third on I gotta get my third shot now Yeah wait to get your booster Doesn't the third arm just mean another hand to wash Yeah And then if you first two hands are washing each other who's washing the third hand ever thought of that You know these new variants feel like the iPhone you know how you get the update all the time You're like oh I finally I finally figured it out They're gonna know you didn't Yeah 'cause we got an update So that's what if you wanted to ask me what other thing keeps coming in waves with more and more incomprehensible names You didn't upgrade to a Macron Oh you gotta get a cron because it's got these cool new emojis The who told me the who told me there was a new variant and I just clicked remind me later Later tonight All right very good Here Nico is your next I want to congratulate my north Jersey constituent on his run for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania I'm sure there's fully genuine candidacy will capture the hearts of pennsylvanians That was congressman Bill pascrell Democrat of New Jersey congratulating which of his famous constituents on his announced run for a Senate seat in the next state over Oh is it Doctor Oz It is Doctor Oz Nico well done Doctor Oz of course is famous for selling magic weight loss pills and such on TV He has announced he is running for Senate in Pennsylvania Finally answering the question what do you do if you can't even get on Dancing with the Stars He announced his candidacy on his show though right And it shows like famous for espousing false statements So we actually don't even know if this is true or not I mean and I don't know I mean yes we're having a medical crisis ongoing but do we need a celebrity doctor and elected office And if so why this one Why not Dr. Dre or doctor octopus or Doc martens The fact that you put doctor in front of your name doesn't qualify you Doctor Oz falls in line with doctor Atlas They should go start their own pseudoscience Exactly I will say though The fact that he lives in New Jersey and is running you know in Pennsylvania shows that he's a doctor without borders That's why you're 30 under 30 There you go Boom 31 year old couldn't have come up with that I'm assuming Oz is his real last name but he's in show business He could have changed that You're really going to keep the name of a famous charlatan That lives behind the curtain and has no real power No it's true All right here is your last quote and it's from one Ringo star I've farted Just thought I'd let you know That was one of the shocking moments from a new 8 hour documentary On what famous band It's the beetle It is The Beatles Get past the new Beatles documentary from Peter Jackson who specializes in The Lord of the Rings movies and other things that are way too long is an exhaustive look at the creation of The Beatles final album and final concert It's amazing It's like 6 hours of them just noodling around and eating dry toast and then Paul suddenly comes up with a song get back out of nowhere and then it's two more hours of noodling I will say this I call bull but I call bull on the documentary because it claims to show everything But we see them drink 9000 cups of tea and never once does Peter Jackson follow them to the bathroom Now we open this thing with remarkable moment when Ringo says I just farted I wanted everybody to know which is very open to him Ringo and here's the thing about Ringo's like yes All he does pretty much in this documentary is he farts that one time but farted in time He was such a reliable farm People dismiss him but you knew that you had Ringo back there farting You'd at least keep the beat I mean listen it just sounded like a regular fart but once George Martin Phil Spector would never talk about a wall of sound You think Yoko Ono will watch it all at once or will she break it up I will say I think the documentary makes a compelling case for how she kept them together because there's a bit where spoiler alert there's a bit where George leaves the band and George leaves the band and then they immediately go into a three minute freakout where Yoko starts singing and starts wailing into the mic And you can just see John gone oh we need to get George back Bill how did Nico do in our quiz Got us off to a very good start Nico you got him all right Congratulations Newton Thank you so much It's been one fourth been here It's wonderful to have you Niko Good luck Take care and enjoy Disney when your kids are old enough We'll do Use your bed without it was.
