"You want the parade going short rest, And so it was just I just found it interesting that Dave Roberts tried to do something that he's not great at Bull pinning, whereas Kevin Cash is fantastic at it. And even though You know, they pulled Blake Snell early. It was probably the right move because he just has his pulse on these on. These guys are gonna love Dave Roberts is at that level with he's not there doesn't have to be. Unless unless they're not hit home runs and not manufacturing runs like they did in Game one. Then all of a sudden you're in trouble, because once you're down to the res You know his 5th 6th inning. It's over, man. Yeah. Yeah, And you know as much about brand allow, you know, care, Meier started get that swing Looks like is a little less crooked these days as well. And you know, he's a great outfielder. Yep. I think that it's fair, and I saw some of the stuff from the show. Obviously following yesterday. I saw you take on that. I didn't think it was an erroneous. I don't think it was ridiculous. I thought it was smart. I wouldn't be the first thing that I would point too, but I get it. But here's the thing too. When you talk about CC Mike Mussina did this. Pedro did this Nolan Ryan that Randy Johnson did this? Curt Schilling did this those guys from from those eras, Tio They're not their conditioned to do whatever it takes to get it out there, Not all wrapped up in the Anna back then the analytic and and and scouring video footage frame through frame But get some ice on the wing. Suck down a couple of beers. And if you have to pitch the next night, I gotta pitch. What's my home? He'll Stasis right Feel The right energies to go back out and shut up way laughed at it. But I'm not seeing the walker Buehler can tap into that sort of old school. But it's important for a manager to know if he doesn't think that a young man is built that way. Yeah, and a lot of the kids. This is not a knock. This is not me saying, Get off my lawn. This is an acknowledgment that things are different, and that's fine. I think the game of baseball right now, and I've said it a million times is far faster and more athletic and more explosive. Now, the things that I miss I don't miss him. I don't miss Bunce that miss a little hit and run action. I think that that's that's an element. I hate the shift. Um, I do, miss, you know, triples in the gap, and I do miss some elements of what we grew up with. But I love the game today. I think that if you throw out you know the wrong guy, the wrong guy on short rest, not only kid obviously messed him of that night. But then the residual damage later in the series when and if, and you probably will need that player. Maybe mentally is not the same guy. Yeah, makes it so I could kind of see you know what I mean? Yeah, you get banged around. Because you're on short rest and you'll have your not fully ready, correct it and then you just ruined Now you think you can't pitch to these guys? Yes. You lose mental mojo. You lose your edge, and by the way as great as Kevin caches with this partly out of necessity. You know, letting glass now go 112 pitches was a complete contradiction of what he does all the time. Yeah, You're right. I didn't understand why he let him go. 1 12 because of last night like when is he going to be available again? You know, I mean, probably he'll go. Let's see. There's There's an there's Game one game two ofthe day, Game three. Game four off day, so he will probably five. You'll be ready for five. I would I would think you'd be ready for game should be should he should be. Yeah, but Eddie and he's thrown every pitch literally. 100 MPH. Yeah, because he's only two pitches. He's two pitches, right? Basically two. He's got a third shoulder, but he's pretty much Yeah, I tweeted the after game one. I said, man, like, Remember when 95 96 was legitimate cheese legit. Like Doc Gooden through that Nolan Ryan threw that couple other guys through that you had a closer whether it's Mariano or back in the day. Guys like Bruce Suitor may be an actress. Lee didn't even throw that cause he had a wipeout slider. But you had, like one guy in the back of the pen that came out through gas. Seaver through 95 96 Remember when Chapman came up? You're like dude, because you're the oldest Chapman. It's like man. Are you kidding me? He's annoying the last couple of playoffs, though you might have to get rid of you got to Jack me and messed up his flow. Hey, did get pretty oak that picture him playing dominoes in Cuba. When they're in the pandemic is it looked like it was He looked like a football so I know it looked like it was superimposed. It was it was Dr T. It looked natural, but anyway I still like the Dodgers. But boy take and I know it's it's. It's harder to quantify this in baseball because with football, not even a quantification, just like a vision, visual like you can see an NFL team running out of the tunnel you can see. You know if you get a first three and out stoppage in the new defense flying, they give each other high fives jumping on each other off the field, Hitting the coaches.

"Different offensive coordinators, obviously the head coach of the same, but it's just different offensive coordinators over these last three years, four years. It's you know, telling him different things. And maybe he's paralyzed in his mind, because I don't understand why how you go from being this dynamic like playmaker as you were just talking about BT to someone whose mistake riddled good again. Some of it could be on the O line so we could be on the wide receivers. But also it's on you, right. There's other good quarterback, great quarterbacks that lift You know, bad, you know, Wide receiver play or, you know this Russell Wilson's had a battle I've heard, like, have his career. He still seems to be, you know, one of the elite players in the you know in the National Football League, So, yeah, it is on the team as a whole, but it is starting to fall more and more prominently on the quarterback in Carson Wentz, Listen, it's It's rare for this to happen in football. We've seen this happen and I'll equate this to a starting pitcher, quarterback, right? Does. Nothing happens until you say hiking. Nothing happens in a baseball game to you. Step on the Robert actually unleashed the baseball. Two guys jump out, and they have two different circumstances. One was Doc Gooden Ho was the best I've ever seen. You know that I've ever seen before. You know, drugs and shoulder and they kind of figuring out a bit whatever. And another guy who was never quite as good as Doc, but for about two years was was lightning with Dontrelle Willis. Remember the D train? Yeah. And with the Moreland's Yeah, what happened? Well, he's a he's a broadcast. Well, he got hurt. I think that's right. He also had a really funky wind up that after while was figured out his wind up was half of his appeal. And he had good stuff. But you see pictures come out of the chute. And either never evolved with an extra pitch where they just they get a pattern, and they're just not smart. Whatever pictures that's hat marked the bird Fidrych in the mid seventies with tigers look it up great story for those who might not know who he is in the mid 72 Tigers. But quarterbacks that come out and play like, you know, borderline great football. Great football. Usually don't disintegrate. No, This is what's so weird. So we played the cut. Where Doug Peterson was asked about is Carson Wentz regressing, and then this one came Some of the throws that he's missing are sort of like lay ups. But what could be the reason for some of those easier misses that he's missing? Have you played quarterback in the National Football League? I have not done okay. They're not lay ups. They're gonna throw out here. That's a layup. You know, Some of it is just timing with with young guys. Some of it is just You know, Carson just being not accurate at that particular time, there's there's all kinds of reasons for accuracy. And these are things that we continue to work on and will continue to work on. You know the entire season. You know that feisty. He didn't have to get feisty like that, I agree was a legit question. Your sole agent that you answered it. You know me if it was an illegitimate questions or stupid one, you would have said next question Or, you know, call me when you know what you're talking about. You know, it's an issue that was rude. That was very great and out of Carrie's, so I'm gonna give the past. Yeah, Exact good guy. Very good guy is praying that you you can tell. He's starting to feel the frustrations. Philadelphia Eagles fans are seeing as well. For sure, no doubt about it. So I don't have any playing this week. Why not have the Eagles match up in front of his nose and playing, you know off the top you had. I do not think it's not Giants. Obviously it's not. Giants are cowboys. Not like anything I know. It's not just get the schedule. I want to do that. The next couple games under point, the Bangles. They're playing the Bangles. And then they're at the Niners who were all sorts of banged up then But then listen, then you've got the Steelers in the Ravens. So Let's just give him the next two wins, and that might be A little ambitious. Let's just somehow, like, nudge them 2 to 1 to your right. But if joke Yeah, Then you know you're still that that steal theirs In those Niners. They got some issues. But if they lose the big Joe Burrow beats them at home. Now there's no fan, so it doesn't really matter Homer away, but still, if Joe Burrow beats him at home, they're in for a world of hurt for their first quarter of the season, their fans just going to go crazy. Gonna pillage the stadium and let themselves so they could blow in rather than have people both for them like Fox did. They're going to actually get in there and boo. Alright, see coming up. Let's let's get to this. Now.

"Get ready for for a lot. If you missed any of the show, if you're not aware, shot out to every single person who is working, enjoying their Saturday in the car out and about Is going to be hanging out with you. OK, if you missed the show we had ah, Dwight Doc Gooden on earlier. You can always listen on the free radio dot com map And if you want to contact me if you want to reach out to me All of my social media is at J. R Sport brief. Nobody manages it. Nobody runs it. I have it in my hand. It's old me. So feel free to shoot me A holler at any time as well as the line. You already know the number 877337 66 66. That's 877337 66 66. I mean, as you just heard from Erika Herskowitz. With our new splash, You know, 2020. Just it continues to roll on and we're gonna have more pock marks in a row. It's like driving on the Major Deegan. You know, you can just expect the bumpy Ron. It's like riding on the FDR. You know, you can expect a bumpy ride, and that's pretty much the role that we have to take. To get back towards sports, and it's disheartening but not surprising at all to hear that the Toronto Blue Jays are not going to be allowed to play in Canada. Anybody shocked out there? Raise your hand Anybody, anybody? Anybody? I mean, the Canadian government doesn't want a professional sports team. Coming in and out of the country in traveling around the hat beds. And now the Blue Jays are basically gonna have two options here. I mean, you've got to go down to Florida, which unfortunately is ah Corona virus hotbed, and then they also have their their their model league facility or Excuse me close by in Buffalo. That has the worst lights. For anybody to play it. And so you know, everything that happens is we try to get sports back is going to be day to day. The NFL in the Place Association don't know how they gonna have games here. We have a major league baseball team that doesn't know where they're going to play. You have MLS, which is deciding to have a tournament before their restart. I feel like every time I turn my head, there's a new soccer team that's dropping out of the tournament is supposed to help. Lead towards a restart of their season. So if there's one thing about 2020 that we can count on, it's the sports world is not exempt. It's that there's just a lot of uncertainty right now and ah lot that we have to get used to. No, Before we went to break We spent a lot of time talking about, you know, the New York Mets and their potential change in ownership group. We heard the comments from Dwight Doc Gooden. You know, he says, I love the Wilpons. But sometimes it may be time for change. And thank you to Dr for joining in and appreciate all of the call is that we've had as well. We do have some folks here on the line. I do want to get the morning and just kind of get their thoughts. We spoken about a lot, see what they want to talk about. And then I want to talk about another ownership group here in New York City. You know we can talk about the Wilpons until we're blue in the face, but they're not the only team or organisation that is going through a transition. If you think about it for the past several years, we've got a lot of teams kind of move pieces around and bring in new G. M's and presidents and coaches. And you know, New York City. We need to have enough. We need to have a stop. Of the revolving door. We'd have some stability here. Let's continue to hit these phone lines up. I told you the number You already know it. 877337 66 66. We got Justin calling up from Hawthorne. Justin, what's going on with you? A J. R big fan, man. Thanks for taking the call. Absolutely. What's on your mind? So you know, on the subject of Ah, pumping in crowd noise, you know, for the record. You know something? I'm pretty lukewarm on. You know, I don't really care too much for one way or the other. But you know, the MLB wants to. Ah, you know, make some money and which I'm sure they do and pull in. You know some new fans, mostly in the High school, the college demographic way, Justin, I think I am preparing myself for for what? You're getting ready to say, Let me just take a breath. I consider you all go ahead. Here we go. So I'll pay Stupid amount of money to go and subscribed to the end. It'll be at that. Whatever you know, I can stream the game. Okay? And you give me the option Tohave. You know, Whatever Tvm a uncensored on the field microphone, I would lose it if I could hear, like Garrett Cole screaming like a sailor and an umpire about like a called strike or something, or, you know, missing a strike Me? Give me the field, Mike. Nothing. Nothing else, you know? No censoring. That's it. I guarantee you, you know people would eat that up. I happen to agree with you. I'm in the same boat. I'd love it. I loved I actually watched it and I retweeted it this morning on Twitter. I shared Aaron Boone cursing out the umpire. You know, I don't know what that says to me. I think I agree. I think I'm in. Okay, human being, but I like a little bit of fire here and there and I loved it. I'd love to hear more. So I get that you think you think Major League baseball would put that behind a paywall? Oh, I'm sure they would. I mean, I think there's some reason that it would never happen like I can imagine players would agree, like just being uncensored on the field. Who knows what would get their eyes already, like we don't want a wayto microphones anyway, so it's Shot in the dark, but I mean That would be that would just be the best. You know, That's what I'm saying. It was a Justin. I appreciate you and your interest in the vulgarity of baseball players. You are quality human being J. Thanks, man. You bet They are. No doubt about it shot out to Justin for calling up from Hawthorne 877337 66 66 yet. I mean, that's the other part about it. Major league baseball man, You got a lot of options to watch the games. And if I'm correct, I haven't gone in and, you know, hit the major league at bat option to watch every game, But I feel like they're processes real confusing. If you work at Bam, If you work at Bam Tech if you work at MLB I hope you're listening. Somebody out there is actually have a couple of friends who work at band was the absolute damn complicated. Sometimes I just want to open it and watch the game. I don't want to watch a computer guys swing and I don't want to see a simulation. I just want to watch the game. So much information and let's just get right to the point. I want to watch the Dodgers. I don't You know, I don't I don't need all the extra stuff. Make it real simple for me all of these APS and you know it's it's not as intuitive as it should be. We got Mike from Connecticut on the line. Mike, you on the fan? What's up? They are taking my call. Absolutely. What you thinking about? I just turned in. I thought I had the wrong states and I'm like, who is this? I got a piggyback on the previous calling Mary. You let the fresh air Well, thank you. No, no, thank you. Welcome all weird with where I've been. I haven't been here since 2018. I just started on CBS Sports Radio I was doing A wonderful morning show. I was doing a wonderful morning show. Ah, Atlanta I'm home now. You are a good deal, man. Welcome now. It's awesome, man. Thank you. I think about a boat. I like Cohen. It blows a rod. I'm down with that with you. They are great show, man. I got next on, man. Thank you. I no doubt about it. Might you feel free to call up from Connecticut anytime. I need to get on the hutch and, ah.

"I keep him open all the time. You know, I give you my opinion. I want to hear and know what you think as well is a two way street. Okay? I'm not gonna monolog monologue Monologue monologue, everybody to death for the next three hours. Hey, this is ah Radio station. This is about the people. It's about you the listeners that helped build the fans that listen to me that listen to every single show that comes on throughout the week. And here on the weekend as well. So I want to hear from you. You can also find me real simple. I'm a human being. I'm a person. You may walk by me in the street not even know it. You know, I'm not just some voice over the airwaves. You can contact me All of my social media is at J. R Sport brief. That's at J. R Sport brief on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. As I said, It's great to be back here on the fan. 877337 66 66 we start her off the show. Talking about whether or not Alex Rodriguez is the right owner for the New York Mets. Obviously, he's an improvement over the Wilpons, but my only concern is albeit a great baseball mind. You know, he does come with the glitz and the glamour. He does come with the stare at yourself in the mirror. He does come with wonderful Jennifer Lopez. But he's so fondly manicured and meticulous now with his image a lot of times You know he can come off. As you know what is the correct word here in authentic He doesn't always come across as really. Even when he tries to be thoughtful at points in time, he still puts his foot in his mouth. I mean, take the example of saying that players need to go for 50 50 revenue split. And then he comes and says, Oh, wait a minute. I didn't say anything about a salary cap, but you can't implied that And as I go through my sweater right now, Big shot out STO. Kaiser Rose Kaiser Roll says. We all know a Rod's group will get the Mets like Jeter's group got the Marlins. Unfortunately, it's clear Alex Rodriguez group doesn't have the money because they're scraping up. Investors still, including active NFL players won't be an upgrade over the current situation. And you know who knows who's thrown around money? We don't We don't know that. And so all the chips have quote unquote fallen, so I don't want to go out and say that That Iran and Jennifer Lopez, you know, think they might be the faces. They may not have the largest say And in that regard, I'm okay with that. I'm okay. Alex Rodriguez has a stake in the team and maybe he's a minority investor, and they want to glamorize things, but of Alex Rodriguez is really forward at the super forefront. I'm concerned about that. You know if we gotta watch Alex Rodriguez waltz into Citi Field before every game? No. I want to see. I want to see Alonzo. I want to see him walking in. I want to see him preparing. I want to see him getting hyped up. I don't want to see a Ron. I want to see the New York Mets. In a big shout outs to Dwight Doc Gooden was able to share some common sorry for him before we went to break had a great conversation, he said. You know what? It might be time for ownership change. And I agree, And so baseball has a lot to figure out. The New York Mets aren't alone. You know the New York Yankees on alone when they're getting ready for their interest squad games or their scrimmage games toe to get ready and prepared for a regular season. That four point in time, I didn't think was even gonna happen. It looked like baseball was bound to just shoot themselves in the foot again. And that's what they seem to do. You know, Rob man, Fred can come out every single day. He can come out every single week and talk about growing the game. But you don't do that by complaining in public. You don't do that by alienating your fan base, and so for their own good. At least we have two months. Of regular season baseball that hopefully we can have uninterrupted. They can take us to a World Series and I feel like this entire year. This entire season is nothing but a big wild card. In one of the things that seems, are testing out right now, his crowd noise. The Mets have been trying out crowd noise. The Yankees have been trying out crowd noise. You know, even Aaron Boone. He had some thoughts himself. He asked to. You know what he thinks about? Chatter in the stands and music, etcetera. Listen, what Aaron Boone had to say. I felt a little better with it during the game. Um it did feel a little bit more natural. So, you know, hopefully there's some tweaking of it or whatever. But as the as a war on and during the game, I was okay with it. Yeah, We had a lot of players who said it sounded like white noise. If you go across the river, you go to Queens. You have folks who are saying that I'm locked in on the game. Familia is like, Hey, I'm not not thinking about any type of noise. I'm just out here to play. The Mets have taken it a step further, actually, on 1/2 cardboard cutouts, big cardboard cut outs of season ticket holders, Justin seats all across city field, so maybe you get lucky. You know if you got ah, brick outside, If you old some seats, you might see yourself one TV, and that's the closest that you might get. Unfortunately, here in 2020 I'm okay with the noise. I think baseball has an ambience that you know it's not unusual baseball..

"Continues career with the Indians and all the other teams, But I mean, that's the longevity there, and I'm glad that he's made peace with what he did accomplish, and he only looks now at the things that he did accomplish, as opposed to thinking about the what could have been sure that can't be healthy. You know mentally that that can't be healthy at all. So I'm glad that You know, he's looking at all the things he did do and why he's still so beloved. I mean, Doc Gooden, 85 I don't remember any of that. And I know everything about Doc Gooden is a baseball player like he's crossed. He's transcended time in that way, and he's beloved. So I'm glad you know seems to be doing well. He's a really nice man, too. I had the pleasure doing Ah, Q And a with Doc about 45 years ago. Now Resorts world and I see right near Aqueduct and The place was packed in Cuba and Haiti was could have been nicer, signing autographs afterward. Great conversation I had with Doc and just going back and looking back in his career, and he was being open and honest that that time certainly of The demons of what he went through as you mention Maggie the layers, but Really was. It was a pleasure talking on that night. Pleasure talking on this afternoon. I mean, you're talking about a guy that you could have played, you could play could've would've should've. But even as you do that, you gotta remember over the course of his career. He still 194 games, is a major league starter. I know it's impressive it is. We're gonna take a quick time out. Really appreciate that good. A nice one. Monceau. Good lineup there with Doc. Good in Houston. I gotta come back at one former Nick has endorsed has put in his endorsement for who should be the next Nick's head coach and other nicks coaching news on the horizon. Moose and I are going to get to that next. Don't go anywhere. It's most Maggie right here on the fan. "Just let him definite does. I'm sure I have no proof. But unfortunately, Kardashian find happiness. You have to know. What did I mean? Take a beating from the fans if I stay a little bit, but not that one. But you know, it's something that you hate to see. Going on in the game. It's not fair, but unfortunate happens and I just hope they get back to playing the roof again that it is. Doc Gooden is the mystery guest today, Doc. You know, you've turned in some of the best seasons for a pitcher in Major league history. Should they give out a Cy Young Award this year, too? The best picture or do you feel like it doesn't really reflect sort of the struggle of the grind that you had to go through to win that award. Another question. Great question for me being a fan. I would say I won't get out any awards this year. Justin Rose. If I was a player, then I will say Yeah, let's have the words but I just mopped here just because The pitch is your colony Don't get maybe 12 stars our bake, um, head of six games. I mean enough is just a sample size that this market, but You know, I'll be okay. Either way, but if I'm Official baseball. I would say no, but I'm a player. I was yes. Yeah, but I mean what I understand from a player's perspective, Doc, But you know, for all those that have one Cy Youngs in the past, it's just not the same. Now what is because they One lost all really make a difference out and that I like that, Because wait there, Gromit, His folks at the team that's going wrong. He did his part. It's totally different Look at pictures now, especially with the in his case. Like nobody does play games anymore. There's not the pictures for that. Just the way they talk, you know, a little of the mountain and the game just totally changed. I mean, there's a different game now. I like the old school baseball. With the pictures have been pitching. Well, leave a man because you don't know the book is due is not a guarantee. Yeah. I mean, you're to speak and write to the Mets fans employ, you know that. Do we do call New York teams? All sports. One definite, Many heart. Yeah, I mean in the Mets bullpen has been, you know, well, shaky last couple years. Do you think it's going to be maybe I don't want to say just as easy as the best pitching staff of staff of the deepest pitching staff is gonna have the best shot this year. But ultimately do you think in a 60 game season? That's what it's going to come down to. Oh, different premeditation, because if you don't have a pitch and you're not going to win because the Astros In 98 99. We had the best hand in baseball. I mean, that was loaded, but we don't have the pitch and had myself Charlie Maggie Shadow J. Jed writing but look alone, But technically I had to talk a lot of pictures and Once you get to the postseason and your face no team's best pictures. It definitely shows. I told the doc Good, and he's our mystery guest. Ah, legendary met Obviously Yankee. No hitter we know Ah, the mark that he made in this city as a baseball player, Doc, tell us a little bit about your doing great work. Now tell us a little bit about, you know, obviously the Hackensack University Medical Center on DH what you're doing with them as far speaking with and go in the pediatric unit. Yes, all the fun, and it makes me look at things in a different perspective. I struggled, but both he likes to help me problem or have him on. What is this is the kid who got cancer patients. Go there and spend time with them. I try to encourage him to do well, so I got a hospital. I could take him to a game of choice for the sake of Phillip Tell the family just trying to break it up when you come to the hospital because it's a tough situation, similar kids. There, you know, in the hospital, you know, trying to get better talent cancer because at their age, they should be out playing league or going through your things other kids to do in their situation to do that. Those kids definitely lifted an inspiration to me, and I enjoy the opportunity. I got to work with. What do you get from that, Doc? When you When you go in it's and visit with those patients, I mean, You think you have problems or something going wrong? I was available. You see kids smiling, and then there, you know, it definitely gives me motivation and wants me to do it. Target shares surge after company crushes earnings and raises forecast

"Welcome to the Monkey Fuller. I'm Chris with me in Studio Studio Bill Man in the House. Thanks for being here. How are you Chris? I'm caffeinated Ed year working on it. Let's let's make this happen producer. Dan Is Hungry. We're GONNA look to the horizon for a huge IPO and our continuing search for the Midwest. But right here in front us. We've got some retail earnings. And we're going to start with target targets. Third Quarter was pretty much everything you want it to be if you're a target your whole harsh J.. In Fact Act III. I love the fact that the CEO Bryan Cornell got to use the word bifurcation in in in his call just basically saying I think what we're seeing in the retail market is winners and losers and they are spreading farther and farther apart. The winners are winning. Faster and target is one of them. Losers are going away. Profits and revenue in the third quarter were higher than expected. Same store sales higher-than-expected. They raised full year. Guidance the DOC gooden good those sound good yeah stocks up eleven percent this morning hitting a new high. Yeah this is about as hot as you can get going into the holiday quarter I you think so and I and another important thing is that is that they seem to have some really good visibility and one of the things that they did target had a few the operational issues a couple of years ago. And they've really gone to Delivery and and what they call same-day pickup which is you order online and you show up in their costs for that are like ninety percent lower than than either store or delivery and they are really really seeing being some tailwinds behind Having pushed that a couple of years ago so they're getting a payoff for you know for for for looking ahead. You mentioned Brian Cornell the CEO think back a few two years ago when the big news out of target was they were selling their pharmacy business and it was a perfectly legitimate question at the time to ask of Bryan Cornell. Well is this a good move because that's a profitable business that you and your stores and you're selling it off and people kind of have to come in for drugs and it was the sort of thing that even though he had had some success early on at target I think it was a perfectly fair question and coming out of that you could just sort of look at it and say okay. Well they're going to get a lot of money what they do with that. Money will determine whether whether or not this was a smart move and you look at the investments to Cornell and his team have made and Yeah a home run but absolutely it's a home run and and and I thought that I thought that when he was being asked those questions he was very thoughtful about it back at that time he said look we we see why you you. Would you know we see why one would think that this is a high risk move. We've done the research and we think that you know. We think that there are places where the the money that we will get in return are going to be full force multipliers for target and scoreboard. I mean they really really are crushing it at the moment I understand that anyone's reluctance to buy shares of a company when it's at an all time high but this also seems to be like this is not some insert name. I'm of software as a service company with a you know or or you know beyond meat or with some crazy evaluation like this is this is a business and management team at the top of their game. I'm and I don't own shares of target but the way they're performing the fact that the stocks at an all time high is is not is not why I'm not buying lying shares. There are other reasons why I'm not buying shares. I look at my own portfolio and I feel like I've got retail pretty well covered now but holy cow. This is a business on fire. I I think that if you are if you do believe that retail is not dead and I happen to you know I happen to think that the the death of retail was was greatly overstated. Did you have to own a company like target. You don't have to own. Target target target is and will be a winner lows. Third quarter was a little confusing to me. I'll be honest. Wasn't confused. Barely yeah apparently not shares of Lowe's up about five percent this morning this this. This was not a this is not what we saw out of target same store. Sales came in low overall. Sales came in a little low. They did however raise guidance. Their their profits were better than expected. And and I'm assuming it was just sort of the marketing the good outweighs the bad in our minds. Well I mean this is the interesting thing about lows is that a is that home depot just reported in Home Depot's results. I mean if you just take them at face. Value were much better than lows but this is why investing investing is all about expectations in the short term because lows expectations were not great and home depot has been has been and firing on all cylinders for for for years now. This was a rare rare miss for them so yellows came out and said that they are. They're moving out of AH OUT OF CANADA THEY'RE closing. I think it's thirty four stores in Canada. They're doing some cost cutting but yeah it is. It is sometime sometime. Sometimes it is amazing to me. What the market like picks up on and decides his great or not great? Because absent any other you know absent anything else. Home Depot's report was much better than lows. You mentioned Canada. And you know on the one hand hands management saying no. We're committed to Canada but also closing and I think the number of locations. They had in Canada in two thousand eighteen. Eighteen was around sixty so I don't know if they're closing all they're closing thirty four that at a minimum. That's half of what they've got up in Canada. So maybe it's just a look. Let's hit the pause button and figure out how to make this work a that for all we know may contribute to a little bit of the bump today that you you know. It's all the credit in the world to retailers who make the tough decision to say you know what some of these locations that are performing as well. We're GONNA shut them down they have of A couple of concepts in Canada that that that they don't have in the. US One is called Rona. The other is called Reno Depot and those are primarily what. They're cutting in Canada so they're moving away from mostly from other concepts that they have and not from Loza closing six lows storage and you have to imagine. Imagine that that's a that's a consolidation. The reality in Canada is that it is made up of somewhat large cities and then you know so it it may just be that they felt like they had Too much capacity across these concepts Within the Canadian cities you go back a year and a half ago with lows the board sort of pushing out the CEO bringing in Marvin Ellison who made his bones at home depot in the year and a half. He's he's been in the corner office. The stocks up about thirty five percent so clearly getting things done although as you said this is a business that for the five to ten years has had lower expectations in part because it just hasn't performed as well. Yeah I think that's exactly right and and and you are. You're spot on on in that. It is admirable when a company looks at something. That's not working and says hey let's stop spending money on that. Let's stop trying to make that work. I mean that it. It doesn't seem like good news ever when a company says. Hey we're closing down things. But that's that's really not the case. So the fact that they've rip the band aid out offer I think is probably what the market is really focusing on and it's why the stock was up about six percent as we as we recorded our email address this is market hillary at full dot com questioned from Bassem album mastery whose name. I'm almost certainly. That was pretty good. Sorry about that. It's I would like your opinion on the Saudi Aramco. IPO This is projected to be the largest IPO in history however the New York Stock Exchange as well as the London stock. DOC Exchange are slowing it down and not giving approvals. What is the issue? And do you think this is something. The Motley fool would invest in given that Aramco is wholly owned by the government in an information. Usually coming from companies on calls would not really happen. Due to national security concerns. Would love to hear your opinion on this so when I was working with Motley fool asset management we actually held some shares in some Saudi companies. Dairy company and a bank Aramco is getting ready to come public and they're they're trying to raise. It's about you know they're selling one point. Five percent of the company which if it goes out at the one point six to one point seven trillion dollar caller valuation that the company and the Saudi government. One means it will be the largest. IPO In history larger than the ALIBABA IPO I po of a few years ago There is a there is a tried and true belief in investing that you should be buying what the king is selling because when a government prioritizes they're not looking to maximize the amount of money they make because they don't want their citizens who tend to be the ones who by to lose money right. They want the citizens to be happy with the privatization they want them to be happy with The the amount of money they're making so it is very note worthy that this is only being Is only going public on the Saudi market. The reason it's not going public public in the US or in Japan or in in the UK doesn't have as much to do with the exchanges because the exchanges would sell their grandmothers that they could get away with it. It's the fact that the big investment banks are not biting at this valuation. So they are not getting enough interest in so they're saying okay. We're just going to do it in Saudi Arabia. I don't see any so you know I don't see any real Chance that the Motley Fool's Services would own or recommend Aramco at these evaluations It could come down. I don't think that's good news for Saudi Arabia. But it's not something that I'm particularly invested or interested in other than as a spectator just so I didn't miss here. You could you say this is GonNa go public at a valuation of one point six trillion dollars Kinda blow past that making it overwhelmingly the large. Not just the largest IPO in history but the largest public company to the tune of fifty five five percent higher than whatever Microsoft or Apple. That's right that's right. It instantly comes out as you know as a charter member of the four Comic Club. Yeah it is. It is by not very close. The largest oil company in the world and the one that defines pricing because Getting oil out of the ground in Saudi Arabia is so much cheaper than it is almost anywhere else. Their their their their their cost of production is about two bucks a barrel. And you know you you look at some of their some of their comparable. It's it's twenty thirty forty dollars a barrel. So Saudi Arabia has a natural advantage and Aramco is is is the government owned entity but as with every other government owned entity and this one will still be ninety eight point five percent owned by the government you have to understand that. Prophets are not generally their highest order interest. Quick Shoutout to audible. We've got Thanksgiving next week.

are too long but finally they make themselves that is gonna kill me doesn't get a get on our drive never really I don't really ever remember am talking about dead meaning it before not every other time you see a broad because I'm lying about it you know maybe there's some about when they're playing every was doing that that he'll admit that they did it but every since the playing days like you talked about the thirty for thirty all stuff with straw he always was argue with the one where the day Adam like locked in the bathroom for hours knowing get about he said no there's nothing no drugs involved you know all that stuff he was lying face off finally seems like he's coming to grips that admitting to everybody especially himself well I wonder and five someone's advising him to finally tell the truth and eat it and fast but only time will tell here is he's gonna do what he says save his life and re I because I think the odds of this guy you know right now I would take the under you know I mean I just don't believe them I I don't believe anything he says I think he's in out speaking on the side of his mouth even right now I'm gonna go star I'm gonna turn this around to do it all everybody says that when they're in all kinds of trouble right he's in deep trouble he's facing time now I mean he's got cocaine possession and delight in the same month a month later when you get popped twice in two minds you've got problems man at some point is there not a judge on the face of the earth is going to put these people away to get multiple delights multiple drug bust multiple arrests they just keep letting them drive it really is truly unbelievable isn't it how many delights Ginia before they put you away you kill somebody this guy was hours before is supposed to be in court about the last one I know he is just such a loser I hate to say it but he just keeps driving a drunken driving with coke in a car I mean Christ almighty I mean I don't believe a word that comes "But in a guest on. It's hard to be this by the way getting first game one last slap on Boston. Their go down one on Boston and be fine. Boston had a rough day yesterday had their very own battle winter fell yesterday. They had an unstoppable force in the outside coming in and slap in them across the face the way honesty, they had old stuff from the past coming up and eaten alive from the inside yesterday. It was bad news all the way around at least until we get to the Red Sox in the Bruins better. What we're doing right now. This is this is good. It is to be a Boston sports fan, even though what can be perceived as a bad day. They had a great day. I think we can officially say Chris sale is back. Right. He said teen strikeouts. A career high for just seven innings and then he was pulled after one hundred eight pitches on a chilly damp Tuesday night Fenway park. He left with a three two lead. But the Rockies rallied against Boston's bullpen to win five four. Yeah. I'd say it worked out well for him. His last five starts one Ninety-one ER a fifty nine strike out six walks. His first four starts eight fifty ERA fourteenth strikeouts and five lakhs joins doc Gooden as the only pitcher and modern baseball, which again is since one thousand nine hundred which still kind of. Oh, yeah. To strike out thirty batters in walk. None in a span of two starts. He struck out. Thirty one overs to starts struck out thirty two over two starts at one thousand nine hundred four so yeah, he's back. It is weird. And you look at the St.. Standings Dow, and we ask those questions awhile ago about Boston and New York, which would be in a better situation. One in Boston that was just underperforming while healthy in New York who had to try and fend off every injury and the answers kind of in both kind of been built. But what I'll say is the Yankees have been doing a lot of people. We don't really know. And they're a lot of people still aren't back. So maybe you even more to look forward to with them. But at this point you'll right? They have both are pulling it off pretty well. Tampa Bay still leads that division, but they're the Red Sox right there now Yankees one game back Red Sox. Four back in the Yankees are slowly beginning to matriculate actual Yankees back into their starting lineup. So what happens is that continues going forward? Meanwhile,.

"We're not talking about them as always we're talking about the demise of the Russell Westbrook led thunder and him being total unprofessional after the game. To a six time. I might add six time Oklahoma sportswriter of the year award winner and berry travel. It's not like this guy's a piker. So there's lots to talk about with him. And we will do that next. What is our poll question of the day? Chris Brockman wouldn't. So we're here Nashville for the NFL draft. We're talking about what could happen with cower Murray. If he doesn't go number one that would be a huge surprise that. It would sir. What's the biggest surprise in recent NFL draft history? Looking back to two thousand six Marya Williams goes number one overall everyone thought it was going to be Reggie Bush. That's correct. Baker Mayfield just knew the day before that they had changed it. Yes. But it was still it was still a very big, correct? Baker Mayfield going number one last year that was surprised at the moment. That's correct to other quarterbacks. Tim tebow goes in the first round twenty fifth overall back in two thousand ten this. Aaron Rodgers drops could have been the number one overall pick jumped all the way. Down to twenty four thousand five man. And so I put this on here. Do you want to leave it where me Tunsil the gas masks video that was a huge deal? He was a top five pick. Yeah. But the other four are based on a valuation of their talent, and where they were selected. Of course, it's a surprise that a guy has a video that's popped out there on his hack social media account of him looking like the pineapple express. Of course, it's a surprise. I leave it on there. And we'll see if if people could separate that chaff from the other wheat of your poll question. Breath not about where never forget that was crazy man sitting on that set in Chicago. So we get some you're rich. There's a video out of army Tunsil. And. And he's smoking pot. Using a gas mask is a Bong. We've got Markey's Brown of the Oklahoma Sooners showing up in studio. And then, of course, what's going on with him in Russell Westbrook. He wrote a great column about it. "It isn't Motown Monday, Johnny spinning ED's, Johnny. Do. We have your way. No know, you can't do that. You've got to say this is it is this is daily if you're going to hang out with the guy. That's got you know, okay. For five hundred Johnny super close. I get the guests. But it's actually the marvel. That's and I sorry fishy. Go home in last place home version. Too many fish in the sea fish in the sea. That's right in one right here. Just many here. I mean, one is too many so down on the fish. That's great, man. The marvel leads man. Blair is around. There you go top ramen goes read one guy has depleted the budget from jeopardy now, this gentleman is just making a name for himself holes Hauser jeans holes. Our and James is actually a professional sports gambler here in Las Vegas. So needless to know, the sports books will not be taking any action from holes. Our who probably has four pseudo accounts now under other people's names because he's just too smart, but he has been setting records and over the past twelve episodes of jeopardy, he said an single show record of one hundred thirty one thousand nine hundred twenty seven dollars in winnings. That's one show. According to a report from the Atlantic, so far, he's one eight hundred fifty thousand dollars, but fish says KT still got a ways to go. That's right. But he is on track to reach the two point five million. That's past record set by Ken Jennings. But he's going to do it in half the time if he continues at this pace Jennings scored his prize after. Seventy four consecutive wins. And his best one day. Total was just seventy five thousand since the average single show earnings come in around twenty thousand some wondered how much holes hours earnings would take out of the show's budget. Wow. So there you're looking right now like what kind of budget today have? But this guy not only does he clear columns he gets to every single daily double. And then he risks at all. And that's the way you got to do it. I will tell you jeopardy's tough show. I've I've dishing there's got to be one question that he missed taken test three times a year on jeopardy. I have not passed it any of the three times you have to get ninety percent. I hit eight percent one time. I didn't get even close the other two times. I have not been able to get on jeopardy. Jeopardy in one not made regular because holes our noses his business. So that would be who holds the record for most consecutive strikeouts. Ballgame who is Carl Hubbell, no. And what is the amount? I'm gonna say eleven no ten is the record ten straight stragglers. That means no walks. No. I understand what. National League east. Doc Gooden Tom's Tom's fever. That's the correct answer. Did it against the San Diego Padres struck out ten consecutive Padres back. Then the Padres were reassessing the the guy. That's number two there. Several of them. You know, what eight nobody has nine. So Seaver has ten nobody even has basically three innings out. All right. No walk. No, nothing. Nobody play. That's that's pretty that's pretty impressive. And that's why Tom Seaver was the highest vote getter until Mariana Rivera Kengo junior actually the highest hall at ninety eight point six percent. My favorite of all times. I loved them and India's go commiserate with me. Jersey that I will I will give to you. The road jersey home stripe jersey. I will I will I will give it to you, my friend because. I can't give you the Piazza one because. I don't want anything to you as a friend my favorite. Now. This thing is this is the fifty year anniversary of the Mets amazing. That's nineteen sixty team. Yeah. Yeah. He's got you know, the the main dimension yet. It's dementia. Yanni lived in Connecticut. Along. Peaking realize the line the line ticks, and they're real. They are. Almost just under two years of my daughter got bitten by a take. Taking care of. And she's absolutely fine. There's no issue there. But if you don't you don't realize it happens for a while. And the longer takes the more damage it can do and it just shame for Seaver terrific pitcher. But it's ridic- main in the community. Yeah. Tom Seaver, Nancy Seaver, and like the gorgeous wife, and he's a good looking guy. And of course, went to college. I could thank you. Okay. I'm giving you the lug like. Kingman went to USC. I mean, all these guys I loved I fell water vote that wasn't him. That was curb of aqua those other Kingman couldn't hit water about he said that about Bevanda the quote from the sorta said the same thing was also by the way, and yeah, we'll get him back on riches. Well, I gotta get on with you. Because Grinch, you know, he's going to that our power hitting saying. With the eight on both teams. Right right back when Brian downing was leading off. And you know, you didn't have power here is leading the angels. Ton of leadoff homers to no doubt. He did. Great moustache. Had two guys are all in. Yeah. All right. So congratulations to our. We'll see how long he continues. It was twelve episodes eight hundred fifty thousand coming into this week. It just takes one one mistake. One thing. You don't own final jeopardy in the whole thing comes crashing now. Also, we'll keep an eye on current coach for the Sacramento Kings is disturbing. But again, we'll find out, you know, innocent until proven guilty is Brian Pani says, by the way, Panish perspective tomorrow more than likely will be live at about ten after eight with BP Brian Panish, we'll get his take on the NFL draft. But Luke Walton accused of sexual assault by order and his dates back from two thousand seventeen and was reported by TMZ and shows that sports reporter Kelly tenant accused of assaulting her in a hotel room in may two thousand seventeen she said Walton requested meeting with her at his at his hotel. And she wanted him to write a forward to a book. She was writing when she arrives. She said Walton convinced her to come to the room in any Pender to the bed ones. Forcibly kissing and groping her try to for yourself. And then as she was leaving. I guess he grabbed her again from behind and not good. She also said that will conduct not just that particular night, but other interactions on the job won't make vulgar guttural sounds at her and aggressively hugged and kissed her despite her objections won't, of course, recently landing the head job their head coaching job for the Sacramento Kings after being fired by the Lakers. We'll see how that plays out again. Yeah. Innocent until proven guilty because we've seen things happen to where we jump to conclusions, and we figure, okay, she's not gonna make this up. But we've seen other things that you know, have not panned out. So gotta give Luke Walton his day in court. If it goes that far, we'll see what happens as far as that goes derails his career at all to shame can't until until something happens. I understand that. And you know, I'd like to believe that Luke Walton is smarter than that. But we'll see you know, what you just never know. And you never know whether alcohol or drugs are involved using because those things, you know, change the normal thinking of a good person. And we've seen many people go down that road. Trust me. I've gone down that road light bad enemy and all that stuff. When when I would, you know, indulge overindulge was myself. I was my own worst enemy. So never heard anybody really myself, Utah eighty five eighty now nine forty to go fourth quarter. So five point lead over the rockets. Trying to stave off is thirty five forty six points left. All right, Milwaukee you missed a beat. Detroit won twenty seven zero four the bucks with a four zero sweep like the Celtics got the four sweep against Indiana yesterday and Toronto one game away. They'll probably take care of business tomorrow night at home. Let's go and check those overnight lines out tomorrow fish vein. We've got Spurs and nuggets that series now all even to it is Spurs are no the nuggets are at home. Nuggets are at home. Yeah. It is to too though. Right. Okay. On the I'm thinking. Right nuggets five and a half to eleven love the negative one of my favorite bits. Tomorrow is. They. Because both teams such great home teams. That's lousy road teams as here trailblazers at home in Portland, minus three and a half to eighteen and a half. And I told you I love Portland all by down to three. My thing is Russell Westbrook. I know he'll come out and play the best. He can he was pathetic essay five at twenty one. Only finished with fourteen points. Paul George elevated is gaming really struggled. He was two eight from the floor in the second going into the middle part of the second quarter of any really got together and started clicking made that big three from the base on at the end of the third quarter. Bring them back within eleven and he kind of carried them offensively. But they need everybody to show up Stephen Adams better be there was for better do more than a triple double. He'd better really come to play because Lillard and McCullum that one two combo is dynamite. But they're getting contributions from everybody else in the lineup and the problem with the game five like this over Portland as you say, oh, they're going to three one liters deal. But if they lose this game, and it's three to hit back to Oklahoma City, all of a sudden Oklahoma's and he's got the Mendham they win. They gave it home. It's three three. Now, you're gonna face a game seven situation at home just becomes a huge game for Portland, the wind is ended. Now, you need to put on the aunts and do not let up Lillard out a big third quarter. And then I thought he sat too long in the fourth quarter by the time he came back in two late. He was rusty was called him missed a lot of shots that he would have made had he stayed in the groove a little bit more. And I know playing basketball. I mean, if you're a shooter now Lillard can go to the rack just somebody that can shoot from the outside. But if you somebody that likes to shoot the ball, and then all of a sudden, you go and you sit for you know, eight nine minutes of game time, which is twenty five minutes of regulation time normal time. I mean, that's a lot of time. And then go cold, and you can start you know, going long short long short short long and trying to find your rhythm. They're fortunate that McCollum had a great game McCullum with his dribbling really separates himself from defenders and the play he made by blocking the Paul George shot or pass, you know, and then took it like the court stopped of. The three point line right before it gets swatted from behind. He cans another three when mccullum's on like that and Lillard zone. Like that. Like he was in the third quarter. Forget about it. Those two guys clicking on all cylinders. They're going to be tough to be magic raptors raptors can close it out after taking both games in Orlando. And in fact, they've won three in a row now after the magic won the opener raptors minus eleven and a half to six I love. I don't see how you can not like they're actors in this spot. I really don't imagine great story. They made the playoffs. Fantastic. I just don't see how you cannot not the raptors tomorrow Sixers also laying eight and a half at home against the nets to twenty nine and a half. Tune in that's their opportunity and Jimmy Butler betrayed where they get jacked Dudley goes for the nets Butler goes and really was in bead with a serious slash on Alan going for the shot that you know, and they call that a flagrant. So you know, he was able to. You know, stay in the game Butler came to the rescue because Dudley came over and pushed and beat. I thought I mean if Embiid had nailed the wrist of Alan the way, he slash down his heart as he did he broke his wrist. Absolutely. I mean, it was that type of I know, and I I don't like this game tomorrow because I'm not I'm not saying, I don't know which team is going to show up to get hammered and just destroyed or naked destroy him. I can't right now at all eighty three seventy nine just ten fifteen to go fourth quarter. Keep an eye on that one. As it. Rolls to baseball games. One has gone to the tenth angels and Yankees that's top ten Anaheim tied at two four one Oakland bottom. Eight leading Texas and mine will keep an eye there hockey tomorrow the two game sevens fish where you go in Toronto Boston right now, Boston minus one forty five and a half. I'm taking Toronto in this spot. I think that I I thought they can't win three in Boston. But you're right. They have more focus when they're on the road. I think Toronto's the better team. I like Toronto in this spot. And this is it. I mean, if you're ever gonna make money on the Golden Knights. You're never gonna find a better price.

"The darndest characters from my time in the game. And within that piece. He writes about what he recalls an incident before game three of the nine hundred eighty six World Series. When he said that Lenny Dykstra, as he's preparing to start that game starts screaming at Red Sox starter oil can Boyd the foulest words that you can imagine in the way that darling describes basically indicating that he thinks it might be worse than anything. Jackie Robinson, ever heard. And so that's in the book, Lenny Dykstra, heard about this not happy. Call. Into the Michael Keisha. Ninety eight point seven FM ESPN New York at strongly denied that this happened. He was asked directly if he said anything to Dennis oil. Can void never once. Yo that lever said a word. Word them. I mean, I did take him wrapping around the south pole. But but never one word to him. In fact, Boyd wrote a book never say anything about either. I mean, I mean come on. Like what darling said is so crazy and so ridiculous. And more of setting is that it takes away from that great team and makes people focused on things that are are are not true. And again that that's what sets me the most. I mean, a lot of people have said things about me. And then you know, I understand that with what's happened in my past, but I own that. But we start bringing in this kind of stuff. This is way way cross the line. And and and again, it's not acceptable in flat out lies. Dykstra was asked what he'd say to darling. If he saw him now lending if you if you weren't into Ronnie right now, what did you say? What would you say? I wouldn't say I drop it like red. Okay. Well. He talked about his plans regarding darling. Okay. How am I not gonna sue? We can this guy and the publisher we got to defend yourself. I wrote a book myself, and that thirty lawyers. Call me fact, checking everything there's not one person to back this up. His you know, why it's not true. He talked about his relationship, darling, darling. You know, probably because he he, you know, as a player, you know, nicknamed Mr. p Mr. perfect 'cause he went to Yale, and, you know, and and all that stuff, and but as far as like what he said, and it's this is low as you go and find out live, doc Gooden, of course, part of that one thousand nine hundred sixteen also went on the Michael cassio. And he was asked about if it's possible Lenny set it, and he just didn't hear it. But it's possible. I'm not saying it's not possible. Bob to say, I've never heard. I've never known that side of grading. That's all I'm saying. And he followed up the talked about Lenny. I never saw Lenny. I'll tell you what a minute monitors one. Any I show it to the major leagues he live with me and collection for year wrote here the ballpark, and you know, every night we'd be up late talking baseball different things. And I've never seen a whole family is kids play with my kids..

"Came one of my older brother, and my step mom. Hey. My mom, and my step mom and saying, right? This ain't this ain't that that that type of relationship where? Yeah. Mom, and the mom and everybody get along. It ain't like that. So. It was quite disturbing. Very very disturbing to me. And so my my left after the pitch in baseball. By our so so that situation, and when I was warming up in the bull. Okay. And you know, I said, well, why would something like this happen on the most important day? I'm alive in a game of baseball. Why can't I just think about how to get out to New York? So, you know, once I was I got into the ball game at everything when the bell rang, and it was handed pitch. I've tried to regroup. I know I got stuff on the ball. I know I know I can I can win possibly, and so, you know, like, I say not knowing that it, and I know it's like that. Outweigh most leadoff hitters. You know, what jump in a yard unless you Ricky Henderson fucking. You know what I'm saying? Folk leave out here too. You know with putting it in play run is still basis and do these things and get the game vote in that way. When they expect out man immediate yard. I thought I made a pretty good pitch. Atmosphere was grant they banned itself was very excited excited about the pitch anywhere else. I had a lot to do with my team, you know, going through the World Series. And you know, our they're excited about plan. But like I said, I had it bad spirit came over me. And and, you know, so, you know. Anything that went on outside of that. I didn't see and then didn't pay attention to me. Well, oil can kill a lot of people can't identify with that me personally. I can because I was a professional athlete. I was born out of a fair. Now, I understand how you have to referee between the stepmom and the mom and attention in the animosity between the two now understand how they could be distracting going into a game. So I definitely understand because I had to deal with some of the same things. But the fact that you didn't hear that doesn't mean that it's not true. But Lenny's Lenny's denying all of these things that went through. So I guess it comes down to who. Do you believe more? Is it a conversation that you may need to have with Lenny would you like to have a conversation? Would you have a conversation with him? Or would you have a conversation Ron darling to confirm or deny? Well, you know, I I play I play with both of them. I actually was one dollars teammate in Montreal who came over from the Mets before he went to Oakland. We would have just a month ago monosodium gala, and I admired him as a pitcher already. I I didn't get to really know. I'm there, but he was very very good to me. And he complimented me. And last time he was shot. It was trading days later was this after the after the World Series. Yeah. Yes. Five years later. Did you guys ever talk about that day? Oil ken. Never never. We didn't even talk about why we there. Ronnie. I don't think Ronnie was there. I don't even know if he was there a month. I think he might have been there like ten days two weeks at the max. So I don't even know if you had the chance to. I think I only seen one ballgame. Because I think he called his week or two in purgatory up in Montreal but to his leg. Oakland lane. Well, so to me this morning. Ronnie this morning, despite everything that's said that doc Gooden said that he didn't know anything about it. Kevin Mitchell said that he didn't know anything about it. Ronnie says there's no chance that he misremembered it. I'm kind of getting the feeling that the truth is somewhere in the middle that I think it could have happened. But I think you might not have heard it given the atmosphere and given everything that you had going on. I mean USA pitcher is your warming up. Are you even are you even tuning into anything else? No, no, no, no. You know? I mean, everybody that knows me as a pitcher now that I'm a thinker. So they they know I'm focused, and so, you know, I I was focusing very very selfish winning Cain pitching. It was my expertise in what I took by more than anything. Says the little boy was that way in spirit. So now, it's more of the way you say that I I didn't hear anything. I if I had to go with anything and honestly say. How I felt about it because you did ask. I said like this. I don't think we can make up nothing like that. Making up as close enough to hit east types of tar and either stay from what I read that people were people were close by was the media. Hurry to as well. And and they didn't report it, and he said he didn't know where to stand on it up until now. Well, oil Catholic run against Lee says today, I do say if you read the entire chapter it's about how ashamed about my complicit nece in these kind of things that happened in those times where that seemed to like the right way to compete the right way to get on the opposition. That's true. Not the ratio part. You don't have to do that. I made everybody mad when they faced me because I was very flamboyant embarrassed by myself on my colleague cocky, but I'll just have a confidant, but I learned the style of play style a baseball that made everybody mad because you're not had a little bit of satellite for what I did. And did a bit of that negro league bang going on. And you know, I learned at my dad playing they I have several members in my family play that type of baseball and that type of time where it would show spend time. And that's the way I learned to play baseball since I was a little boy, I always heard that the fans came to see you and your job is to entertain. And that's what I did. And I did it consciously and unconsciously at the same time. I like I say I was very focused and the what Alec dorm, but my fam- boy at my style of plan piss people out. But I I wouldn't I wouldn't I wouldn't. I wouldn't say that that that type of top is what would piss me off and get other teams that type of edge that way it would be done. Not at all. I mean, we we get up on each other scam. But it has nothing to do with your. Necessarily whether you Asian whether you're black white whatever about veal gender race. Not creed. Nationality shouldn't ever come into play. I've I've heard a lot of things myself from ball players on the field from frustration. And and they've said some very bad. Thank. I've heard some things, but I ain't never heard. Nobody Becali where I know. But I've heard something close to it. I've never heard nobody call. No by a redneck, but out here some close to it. You know? So I've I've I've heard things and I was in the game long enough to understand. And like I said a part of the country. I grew up in a second nature to analyze people in Jewish people in my lifetime. Have I've had I've had a lifetime of. Oh, no. Understand. The color of my skin is always been a different especially what I learned that I began to kind of acted out somewhat. And and and so I read snares a lot. And I know a lot about people and a lot about how people are. And I just I just don't want them bad the commodities leaning. I don't want that bad come out over for money. But the truth veto, it is what it is. I mean, I made the comment about way, Bob, and I speak to a debate. And I love way now. So no way Bob was raised in Florida. And I also know the history of Florida worse than where I work and Mississippi. So I understand. A kid upbringing and nature and the people that brought you up. The need to use a particular way. I'll take particular way. So, you know, nobody's born a racist. But you can talk that he oil. Can you know, I'm sorry to jump in just one second. But, you know, earlier in the interview said with all this stuff coming out in the in the accusation that you felt more hurt you know, that that that maybe this was even said, right, especially by someone who you consider yourself to be acquaintance with their friendly with do you think it happened? Even if you didn't hear it. Yes. You do think that Lenny Dykstra, said something to you just didn't hear it. Yes. Now in the heat of battle. I hate to feel that way. But like I said I wrote it about way bars are talking about just to jump to subject for a second. I even asked to be. Godfather of my child, and then three days later, I asked myself. Well, I Creighton HALE, you know, what I'm saying. For those who don't know in your book, you said you felt Wade was a racist. Yeah. Man. Like, you say racism could be a learned behavior. But it also could be unlearn. Do you think that maybe that was just a side at a time sometimes and sometimes? Just a misinformation. Yeah. Well, you know, your name. This information today anything like that it will it what it is. And at the time is like I said, I I've heard some some some things in baseball. A person of color. I had to condone. I well because. And come back at me. I been there always. Away do. So so I have always had to condone a lot of things that I didn't. I didn't like what I heard what else. You know, different gestures different added. I heard. Oh, thanks. That's worse than column. And were you know? So it saying they can't I guess if you do believe that Lenny Dykstra, did say these things to you before Dame three of the World Series. If you do believe he did say these things in your direction to try to get you rattled. Do you want to hear an apology for you? You. Oh, no. I can't say that. I I will I won't I won't demand. And I won't I won't do any of that. I I grew up with if worst racism UK, ever, see. So my skin is much bigger than that. You know? I I I mean, I even expert the little boy a man hanging from a tree. So. Being which people read about I've seen what they put in movies. I have seen. I have. So. Now, I won't no apology from.

"Eight seven to nine three seven seven six for those who don't know me. Very, well, it's okay. Because not everybody can know everybody. I'm a full-fledged New York Mets fan this thick and thin with their team. And then there's me I think the only one that has gone through any kind of nonsense with their baseball team in this building of ESPN radio would be one of my other producers Chaumet nameless Stasi, Nikki who is a cancer you walls fan at least he has seen his team when they world championship twenty-first-century. I'm hoping my team will women before the twenty second century happens, and I'll be long gone from this earth. But I digress. So anytime anything has mentioned about the New York Mets nineteen Eighty-six championship team. They would definitely the bad boys. A major league baseball. They would definitely the bad boys. A sports. I'm surprised New York City is still standing after those guys went out each and every night. Usually when they went after a baseball game after winning after losing. So anytime I hear about the ninety six eight eighty six major league baseball team, the New York Mets won a so I go boy that was a good. And depending on who you are a bad time involving that team. Ron darling. Who does a great job as a baseball analyst for s and why in New York and also part of the playoffs and TBS he has written a book, titled one hundred and eight stitches loose threads briefing yards and the darndest characters from my time in the game in the book comes out on Tuesday. The one thing that people circled on was what he said that Lenny Dykstra said. During game through the World Series in nineteen Eighty-six at opposing pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. Dennis oil can Boyd. Now the Mets down to nothing going into that game. People thinking that's gonna be it. Dr hit a leadoff home run against all Kamboi at Fenway park. The the Mets wound up winning that series. They won game three game for loss game five one game six game seven so a brain for Red Sox fans out there. But according to Ron darling what he wrote in his book. He said Lenny Dykstra, shouted every imaginable and unimaginable insult an expletive in his direction foul racist. Hateful hurtful stuff in a direct quote in a book. He said all can was on the receiving end of the ugliest piece of vitriol. I've ever heard in a bar on a baseball diamond anywhere. I don't wanna be too specific here because I don't want to commemorate this dark low moment in Mets history in that way in quote, darling. Also added what Lenny Dykstra had to say was worse than anything. Jackie Robinson might have heard. When many Dykstra heard about that? His former teammate with the Mets he called into the Michael Kay show on ESPN New York ninety eight point seven FM, and he was warm responding if he said anything that night during that game. It's all Kamboi of the Red Sox. Never watched y'all never said a word. Oh. I mean, I did take him a wrap around the foul pole. But but never one word. In fact, it wrote a book about either I mean, come on. Like what Darlene shed is so crazy so ridiculous and more setting that it takes away from that great team makes people focused on things that are not true. And again, that's what has been the most a lot of people have said things about me. And then I understand that with what's happened in my past. But I own that shirt bringing in this kind of stuff. This is way way cross the line, and and and again acceptable in our lives. Doctor said in response to Ron darling said that he said in the direction oil can't Boyd and dollars new book one hundred eight stitches loose threads, ripping yarns and the darndest characters from my time of the game. The book comes out on Tuesday. Freddie Coleman and Freddie and Fitz Simons on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. I not the case that he said he said. I'm just wondering because I've read a lot of books about that in one thousand nine hundred sixteen from people connected with that team people who on that team. I've never heard anything like that. And why did it take thirty three years for this to become public any book when it comes to Ron darling? Maybe Ron darling thought he heard something maybe Lenny Dykstra was lying. Maybe Ron maybe Ron darling is like I have no idea. But I just find it hard to believe at the thirty three years. This now surfaces now many doctors not exactly in the bashing of our communities. No matter where he's been. Let's call that as it is. He has he has had his moments of dude what the blank is going on with you where he's been that hard living hard partying guy when he played baseball. And even after his baseball career is over you can look up many, doctors, Google, Lenny Dykstra, you'll see that. I'm not lying about this this way, he's not calling into this show and yelling at me. By just find it hard to believe that the thirty three years that this is the first time that this has been heard that this the first time that somebody knew about this, and it became public. According to Ron, darling. It doesn't help Ron darling. That two players did not hear that. One of those guys is doc Gooden who also was a Michael case show on ninety point seven ESPN in New York. Because like I said I've only for so long known was good ties bad times do everything. I'm always beautiful any and by no means am I'm here to kill off eight Ronnie. For my teammates, both echo friends. I just have to be coastal Eleni, especially bike, you're playing times. And like I said for years, I've never seen that side of him to say anything like that. And I've ever heard. And obviously, you know, we never discussed it or. Well, I'm sure have been discussed before. But I don't know. He was also asked the question if it was possible that maybe Lenny Dykstra, said this and doc Gooden here it his response possible. A lot said is not possible. I've never heard it. I've never known that way. That's all I'm saying. Okay. Well, Kevin Mitchell another guy from that team. Also, the micro case show. It was like all Mets all the time and the micro case show with this whole thing Ron Darling's book act. Bob Murphy to come out give a happy recap when there's all said and done. Kevin Mitchell said that Ron darling is completely in the wrong on this some stuff. But it's all funny game. But you know, like, I said, I don't know if it's pay back or whatever I'm writing this book and all this stuff. They keep writing in the book that people need to check up on this stuff and see if it's really true that is not true. Telling all can or can't boy all that mess. He didn't say that come on, man. That's that's that's some foul stuff. And it's all man, I'm gonna keep one hundred and I can dare any one of those guys to come at me real foul. You know, because I'm uncomfortable. You understand because I don't play that mess. You know? But it it's wrong. Each other to keep bashing each other in books are whatever on the air is is is wrong, man. You know? And I think it's messed up. What would you want to put that label on any doctrine when he's not even that type? He's not even that person the words that Kevin Mitchell who by the way, nobody messed with him in that baseball team. He came from tough area in San Diego. He was not to be trifled with Kevin Mitchell on that team. Here's the worst part to me about being a Mets fan at bat of that baseball team for all the good. They accomplish on the field. There was so much bad. They did off the field that canceled a lot of that out us. We have a team that wins the championship teams will have an edge to them any great team. Always has that edge the Mets had the as of the twenty fifth power with that baseball team. And believe me, I've lived it. As a twenty year old guy who finally was waiting for this team to be good at the the whole decade of the seventeenth save for one year when they were the worst major league baseball and at the beginning of the eighties when they were the worst thing that major league baseball. And then they draft the Dallas strawberry. They drafted doc Gooden. They wanna getting Gary Carter in a trade, Keith Hernandez, an a trade. They looked down got Kevin Mitchell. They get raid night in a trade. They draft Ron darling. They finally were able to. Assemble a team. That was going to be compatible championship worthy. They got one championship. In one thousand nine hundred eighty six that team that way too much talent only have one championship in nineteen eighty six. I always regard that team in nineteen Eighty-six from that point on as the future and lived. The Dow strawberry about that team. When I was blessed to have an interview with him about five years ago. And I said that to him he said he said, you're you're kind of sauce when we get there, Freddie. He said that team wasted our time. And he said, I was a prime culprit when it came to that. But not one time. Have we heard from Dow strawberry or doc Gooden or Kevin Mitchell or Ray Knight or anybody in that team about Lenny Dykstra, being racist with the kind of guys they had not locker room if Kevin not founded about that Lenny dogs might not be on planet earth anymore. So who's telling the truth as Ron darling telling the truth is Lenny doctor telling the truth, but it doesn't help Ron darlings case what he wrote in his book that's out on Tuesday that two black players said they never heard from Lenny Dykstra, and one of those dues live with many doctor for one full year and his name was dot good. Now, that's not to say that many doctors not racist or does not have racist tendencies. Maybe he hit it. I have no idea. But at the same time two black players came out and said once said that's foul. Ron darling said and another do said, I'm not saying I didn't hear it. But at the same time, that's not Lenny Dykstra. That's not the guy. I lived with a one year the kind of gathering portrayed in his book. One of my producers, Vince case the great question. He says we'll all camp boy be asked if it happened. He may not have heard it either. Because if you're on the mound pitching, you're locked into trying to get guys out. So who knows who ever be asked that and what kind of answer he will give that's going to be a very interesting interview and Golic and wingo on Tuesday morning when Ron darling will join the guys at seven ten AM eastern time for ten on the west coast because you know, he's going to have to answer. What Lenny doctor to same response to especially looking to sue Ron, darling?.

No, we did on Saturday would. No, not Saturday before. Shake shack. Really? That's right down. We'll blocks away. Yeah. I'll I'll go for that burger in the middle of the night. So what you do stop on your way to work or. No, what do you guys want to do it because they Saturday night orders food to eat dinner when I could eat deliver. No, he went and got it was Pauley Pauley went he walked in got it. And I said, I'll give me a burger you picked up the tab. I'm sure I've picked up by home. I gave a little change. I told them, you know, what when it gets nice with a nice day. I'll Allah size added that work. How many of you are there and? I got a burger Connor had a milkshake. And I said I could do a milkshake in the cold. What did what did I think he had a milkshake? He probably got a he got one of the vegetarian hotdogs, probably knowing paulie. No. You can't have that. With a small run. He said he was going anywhere. Take a burger shack in a while. He gets warmer tweaked everybody because that's you know, it's. We'll have a milkshake when it's nice and warm and hot. Free the bringing that stuff back in there. Well, that sounds good burger in of all places at Wegmans supermarket. Hey, man, they've that had it had the burger but stuff they serve in there for this is. Delicious and tax-load hamburger cooked already. And they and they cook it up for you could wave to order. I know about that. Yes. Now your hungry. I am. Has good stuff and you have Princeton. No, it's there's one kind of in my neck of the woods, although not exactly close to home almost a half hour away. But once in a while they had a they had a old train. Modeled trains, they put track like fifty feet at the air. You could just watch it go all the way it was great. But then all of a sudden they took it away. And they just put it in one little area. They used to go all the way it fell off a hitch head going to have to store. But it was kind of cool. I like trains model trains. Wade was you could go there. And try the burger highly recommend for I shall try that every once in a while all the time when we. Red beaten. Berg is good for you. Every once in a while. Well. Sure. For you. But once a week is not gonna kill. I guess if you can have a steak once in a while, you can have a burger doctor said, you know, you gotta have a state. Once a week. The doc, I have a stake. We went through three months. Okay. That's good. Burger once a week. No, no Turkey burgers. China make it to my my wide receiver years. See that's the thing. I won't ever have a Turkey burger or chicken burger or a black bean burger. Hey portabella burger if I'm gonna have a burger I want a burger, I I would be tried it to black beans. Spicy has a nice kick to it. That is good. Like it might. But it's not the point have a burger. I want a burger or a hamburger a hamburger. Turkey Turkey burger is. Okay. It's okay. I I always saying I tried to I tried to beam burn. Try it try it had a nice little kick to it. Might like beans. I got a burrito. No at the same thing. All of a burrito burger. And let me let me let me last. They let me vent about. What do you call it Taco Bell? You saw the commercials for chicken enchilada for dollar. Yeah. Tonight. You know, what that's affordable because they sold these big boxes for like five dollars much food a dollar chicken until Ana that's so my wife went out. Gimme a chicken enchilada. Is there like a what checking enchilada we don't have that? My husband said he got it from here. Now, we don't have that. So she goes she calls me. And she said. Assegais? Oh, that was just a temporary thing. We don't have it anymore. Usually you sell it for a dollar next week is three dollars. That's how it works. And they said, no, they took it out altogether. Sounds like it's such an exotic item. Place that serves Mexican. Now, we don't have the dollar one. But we have the four dollar. That one give you diabetes. Okay. That's my venting. Don't put it on the menu. Then just don't don't don't tease us like that. Let's go to rob LeBron's Ravitz. You're on the fan. Yeah. Are you doing? Okay. This is a bunch of this. These people were going into the team. People number one. What I wanted to take. Doc Gooden cancers ever getting in there because for about a year that I think he was until we got hurt he was worthy. I would say not I I don't I don't think he was that good that long. I'm going to double double check. But I don't think he's ever getting it. He I mean, he had a hall of fame year. Cy Young award winner was something else. But like, okay here, we go. Four years. He was like that. Seventeen wins twenty four seventeen fifteen eighteen that that's not bad. But then nine thousand nine hundred thirteen ten twelve three eleven nine nine. It's like Mattingly. You you have the certain amount of years that are outstanding. And then the rest of the year is a mediocre and doesn't get don't think they get you in. Okay. Especially barium by. All right. Grew up around baseball within it all his life. And he said everybody what everybody. Aaron did what did what all of you folks, did not know who you are you talking about again. Bon bons, okay. What all these guys did including a made as exactly. You know that people were doing and all this other guy. Nobody would every talking about it. Years that he was the first. Basically your whole career. Also sign the year the the the country. Go crazy in the writers the fans. A major league baseball everybody, especially your TV etcetera. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Guys, are these guys are hitting home runs while you're eating with the singles in the you hit a lot to do everything. These guys really doing spectacular. We want to go ahead and make all the money in and. Homerun hitters. Damning problems filling up the stands after after the strike. Take his hometown. San Francisco Giants almost get little come within within days of getting moved to Florida. And he's go in and and sets the point. So well that they basically turned into a whole different French. I old basically my what he's doing. Okay. Playing the now the previous. Stadium in the majors the ham, the the one the only team, that's acceptable them. Is Boston in the last twenty years. Oh, both forty save it for doing all these things you think you should be in the hall that what you're saying. What I'm saying? They didn't really start complaining about it until he started really doing. Well, they flipped the flip like a dime right around the time that he was doing well, they weren't complaining about anything until he started approaching air. And now, it's not his fault that they were gonna let everybody was telling you go ahead and do it do it. I mean, there was no telling that been anybody was gonna go crazy body. So I don't see why people are holding. You know, like holding him up and saying that this guy in particular can't get in there because what he was doing because everybody's telling him to go ahead. And do it be writers fans? Major league baseball team. The San Francisco. Go ahead and go ahead and everybody everybody can we love to watch. Then you start getting these people get dragged in front of congress, man. Everybody starts saying. Now, you can't get into the hall of fame. But everybody told them was was okay now. It was okay to do what? What? I remember watching the Guaira game lifting up this week, and every in Sammy Sosa was right next to everybody was celebrating it and all that. I watched it. He's the he's the poster boy for that's, you know, that's that's it. You know, it's. When did you just say, you know, everybody's telling you to do it. But it's you gotta have some self respect. What are you? What are you gonna cheat? Because everybody else is doing it. I mean, you just you just play the game. And you you you you you legacy is what you are. If you gotta you've gotta Kimberly chemically, enhance it. Then what are you? What what what are you hiding? What are you afraid of take some more baseball? When we come back after this. Welcome back to sports view. Today's topic who deserves to win big this season my two cents. Good drivers. I mean, that's why they're snapshot from progressive. Let's go to Rick for some confusing. Metaphors? Look if you put a classically trained cellist in a garage band, you tell them to play for Lehman young. I guarantee you the meat on nap burrito ain't gonna like the candle. Thanks for clarifying, Rick. If you're a good driver. There's no other way to say.

Miami Marlins fans invited to bring noisemakers next season

"Okay. So the Marlins we know they don't have, a, lot. Of, fans they got to the teen Derek jeeter yada yada yada well next year the crowd should be a little. Louder because they're allowing noisemakers and musical instruments into one specific section To try. And show pride in their native countries and all that stuff of the fans native. Countries. And get loud according to team the team's website it makes in. Miami very Latin community and if you've, ever, watched, baseball. In, the Dominican Republic or really any country besides here it's a party it's fun and people are singing and dancing Classic and Marlins park yeah. It was a fantastic atmosphere for those games yeah even in Japan out in, the the outfield they usually have supporters sections not unlike say what the seven line does with the Mets but these. People are standing and singing songs for every single batter that comes up throughout the inning and. Then there dead silent when their team is pitching they don't do anything when the opposing team is heading when their teams hitting they have a different song, for each player, that they will clap along to in. Sync to during the at bat it's it's like a party in other places of the, Marlins could bring. That that'd be great but what I envision I know you envision as like three guys up there just and maybe they got like a boom. Box or something I can't I can't imagine this taking off right away or the entire stadium. Isn't that
