"I didn't tell anybody because I knew everybody would have talked me out of fucking out of my mind. I got married at a part. Teddy was my best, man. I got married some cargo sources team, Jordan. Tell you what to give you the rain. I was like give it to me. In Long Beach outta park. Yet going IRA my. Nobody likes my bar. Keesing yet soccer ball got kicked in the middle of the wedding. We had a mobile prese. And he was like guys we gotta hurry up. I gotta be on bread. Like he was rushing in cargo shorts shorts. Say would affect happing your wrapping my hey, everybody. It was just me. My wife my daughter. Got married in like, two months, and it was like. We went to McDonald's for the fuck reception to push for relase. This is the life of a functioning. So I was just all over the place. Yeah. Post eighty four day marriages. I'm looking for love. After you get married. Does it go from an annulment to a divorce? You can usually it really is long as I don't know the full terms of it. But we had ended up getting a divorce because we went a little bit long then because we didn't go right at eighty four day market. It was still like some time that was drawn out. So it was cool. Because like, you know, we didn't have any assets to split with kids. I mean, I was broke. Behalf. A what? With the ladies, man. Like, I'll out of really like I was inspired by seeing you get married. I'm like. So cool. Like what of though? Like, you can be more focused on your business and your life. If you have a wife, I mean, I I between host. I'm saying. Changed? Definitely when I was in my group stage in my life. Right. I remember thinking man if I wasn't so much times on fuck this girl. I get so much done, right. A lot of time energy and resources on chase implicitly because if you mind just elsewhere, right exactly so question. Yes is just not ks and busy and not having a wise thing you can't. I couldn't do that. But it's like I'll be one. I want wanna be a power couple. I want this like, you know, what I'm saying like independent for the first time a power Doboy? I'm about to be so impulsive, whatever decision making a very big. So. So actually have been single for the most part. I didn't even tell you all about that part. So last year after I get out of rehab for the second time, I'm trying to cool down trying to kick in not do too much ended up having a one night stand. Okay. With the random. This. She hits me up like, maybe three months later. She's like, hey, I'm with child. Okay. So I'll tell her I'm like, all right? You know, because he asked me personally, the national. She was like I'm getting rid of it that it does. So she asked him opinion. I was just I. Yeah. Money. You didn't you know? I got it. Right. So she didn't see Mr. appointment this evening back. Like, I didn't really ask you your opinion. What I was I I'm not really support of that. Like if I was mad enough to make this decision and apps with you have the baby. Okay. This is how I'm built like the kind of person. So, but I told her I said, look, this isn't gonna make me want to be with you. This isn't gonna make me want to be do. I'm just we're going to be co pastor like now. And I was like look if there's any remote chance this child is not mind, you can tell me.

"Like, you know, I didn't really I was one of the people that didn't have huge numbers. Kind of was Vanessa my way into auditioning about the finance because it's a dope story. I think. Yes. So basically, what happened was I didn't have a manager at in have a agent. I didn't have a nothing. And I had just heard where the audition was going to be somebody show me where you know. It was gonna be SO. I told my boss eight minutes up there this Crassus audition. So we get up and tied to like talk to the lady issues. It's like basically like looking at the list light. Maybe your name's not here. Doboy who represents such. She was basically cool. Forgot who exactly was. She was really cool. She She was was just just like. like there's no if I can get you on I'll get you on and we'll see Coosa then. Hello people ended up coming in. And getting like Hello auditions since he was like, I'm not going to be able to put you on. So I was just like it's all kind of feed it, but I didn't walk away and then somehow through God and the universe bike. Everybody went outside. It was a bunch of people people into the bathroom somebody comes out. And then there was who's next who's next just looks at me. I'm the only person standing there because everyone was outside doing, and it was just a very very small window. She was just like shit lucky day. So I went in there. And I kind of you know, my thing mile distant was going Kuba what ended up stealing. If for me was when it was time to do the rapping part. I really people don't know that used to wrap for real before I ever did comedy. So when it came to the rap part, they looked at me with I won't say a freestyle you say something that you wrote. And I don't know what gave me the confidence to do it. I was just like I'm going to start laughing. I would just start wrapping y'all just start yelling out random topics all word like that. And so luckily through some shit out, and I caught it in the rest of history. And you used to be way bigger, man. It was be a lot more. To coming people. Always ask me like do I ever get offended at the Asian jokes? Would you ever get offended by the big, dude? I never did in like I started to like embrace it. That's like I think can kind of speak to the reason why ended up not being on the show later. But I kind of had an identity at the beginning. I was I was the fact do you know, what I'm saying? Like kind of like that was like my lane so ice to always look at it like even if somebody is giving me a fat joke. I'm still giving Cameron Todd right? Learned that from Nick Nick is like the Massa Dhabi. Tell the people like Mick is located genius because he's low key the richest person on this show has the most. All the money. But you know, we was but he will sit there and be the recipient of all the thing. Like, this take all the fat jokes. So not the fat jokes. Never bothered me. I took it and then I lost weight. And then I wasn't fat guy. To your point. I was gonna say like when when it called out like Eminem like come on the so people were like is Nick stupid. I'm like, no is Nick is a genius. Is win win for him. Either Eminem comes on and like rose, Nick. And it's like the highest rated episode more or or he loses to Nick somehow and. He doesn't like the walking personification of supreme competence. Like, he can be competent enough to take whatever jobs. You talk about his album, you talk about he's corny, whatever. And they don't care Cassidy judge. Good. He's comfortable in that. So. Yeah..

"So that's what I was going to say is that the the old school like the behind the counter that penguins, TCP wise that place kind kinda gone by the wayside. But there is there is now a renaissance of the self serve yogurt place. Well, there's yogurt land. I think is the big one. I think there's been three distinct phases. I need to correct you. You're obviously the expert. You're one of the hosts of the smash hit food podcast Doboy. Right. We it goes by food podcast. On the streets, surely information. They'll come to us for comedy food podcast in the streets question Morgan the sheets. I think that there was the TC BYU crazy. Yes. Mo- fat being the center of that. It was a it was a healthy alternative to ice cream. That's like a late nineteen eighty s early nineteen nineties phenomenon. I remember that as a kid. Yeah. And then and then the pink berry crazed the tart plain yogurt. Yes. Of roughly ten or twelve years ago. Yes. That was tearing across Los Angeles. And eventually, I imagine across the nation. And also as part of that was the like fresh fruit as a topping was kind of a new thing you turn onto that because we reviewed pink berry and yogurt land. We've done every fucking. But you never I was like, oh, I'm gonna go for sweetser, which would Jesse I'm gonna guess that your kids probably like to go with a chocolate flavor or something like that. Exactly. And I did the the the just the plain yogurt with with like a like strawberry toppings. And I I loved it was lame change. It's great the tart the tart. So the thing I think I think we're now looking at a third wave the third wave is not built on innovation but retrenchment. So I think the second wave was pink Mary. And everyone's like, this is novel. I'm going to wait in line for this. Right. Everyone got sick of waiting in line. And then there was just like people who were like, I don't know what kind of business to open. I guess we'll just open one of those things with the bins of the beans of cheese. You know what I mean? Yeah. Been at a little spoon, and those people are basically selling TY yogurt primarily. Yes. But with bins right by weight. And I think to to your point what what we saw with pink. Mary was it was kind of a streamlining of the concept because. Pink. Barry for a time only at two flavors. They eventually added a third, but you know, it was it was far from from the original tea. CBS penguins originally to tart and come right? Yeah. I really feel like come was the seminal flavor. Sure. I got one of the the lines around the corner makes sense. If you paid them a little bit extra and wait until they closed the let you put your face. She. Until the vice squad. True to. Tonight. What a night guys we're having a lot of fun on the program. It's two thousand. I'm not. No, no, it's right. I'm having fun. We're always happy to see our friends, Nick. And Mitch we sure are you know, it's two thousand nineteen Jordan. It is now should we should, you know, pull back the curtain a little bit. Now. This is meant to air in two twenty nineteen we recording this in two thousand twenty four we've created a time. Sure. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. We're here to close our loop. So I just hope that you know, we're assuming everything is going to go. Well, and the podcast is gonna come out in two thousand nineteen. But maybe this is the year white. You've k- finally gets them. Spit concern for a while. This is the year. I don't know. I was in Jamaica for y two k how'd that go with my with my family and my godparents family? It was like a big family trip. We went there. And I remember the guy who like host of us at the house, and he he kinda hung out with us..

"For one fifty for a limited time only. And I will say, arby's is the first place I had curly fries and I was like, these are amazing, curly fries. I don't really. I'm not huge. I've really fries. Great. I love him. I love. I love the season. I was wondering why at the end of the new mission possible that being Rams tells Tom Cruise that he has to do this. He has to try the new buffalo arby's. Pills very incongruent later. Is being set up earlier in the second act, but it was a lot of Jim occas shake reference. Really weird. IMF team was Jamaica shakes. Was there ever a fast food commercial where you don't have the sweat moment in mission? Impossible one? Yes. There had been some food thing where they where they, where they ripped that off in something went into a shake up or something right at drop of did they never take advantage of the a little bit of condensation coming off of somebody's beverage? Yeah, I don't think anyone did did a parody of it. Well, we got our next commercial pitch season. We got our idea. We're gonna go around and pitches idea. We're gonna pitch commercials. Zealot is part of what we do now is. Yeah. Yeah, it's season for commercials, go around. Try to sell your. The big agencies wanna take a beating with Doboy media, commercial ideas. But a Buick spot where it's like racing the flash. I guess you could do that. I don't know. -partment. Will you give something by idea about the one I said, and what is the idea? Shake something falls, eat them. Hunt has a shake, and then a the blender shoots up one last piece and he catches it in the shake while he's hang from the rope, Syria ideas, get Tom Cruise in. What. Fuck you. All right. We've never worked. This is the only thing we've ever worked on and it's good this way. You should never worked together. You get mad at me when I try to have the Doboy y- delivery line, you try to which I found the Texas which I sent to you. I know we settled that. This was this was a miscommunication. Here's what it was. You said that you want to rename the Doboy you hotline which we have here the voicemail Doboy y- delivery line. That's what you said in the podcast, but in the texts you said you wanted to have an episode where people called in live, which we currently don't have the technical capacity to. We figure it out. We could use on it. We don't have the technical capacity. Our voicemail line is just a voice mailbox, so we'd have to like give out what yours or my phone number or make a new phone number phone number, I know. But I'm saying we currently don't have a way to do it, so we'd have to figure that out, but you want to call that episode the DOE boys delivery line. And I was like, I'm not sure if that makes sense. For the context of this is a live call in show calling that the delivery line, but we can call the voicemail, the delivery line. That's fine. But the argument was like, you thought I didn't understand what you were saying. And I was saying, I do understand what you're saying. Tell me it was a bad idea. It was no. I said the idea of an episode where people call in live is a good idea. We don't have a way to do it. We could figure out you said in that text. I don't like the name. I said, I don't like the name bullshit. The name is good. We're using the name for the voicemail box. Now. It's fine. We came to a compromise. We should end the podcast Nick. I do agree thirty seven minute Mark right now pull the real ones specifically. No, even this, this was just the end of the whole show forever. Say, is nation burger gay? Who do you think you think we should call because this should be the series finale. You know what you're getting yourself into. So I don't know so much more planned Doboy coming up in the next year. Stay tuned listeners. You don't wanna miss out on all the many features we coming up where adding another patriots here. Where you song sings to you..

"By the way, this is not branded content that Doboy can't be just like that was that was one hundred ten. And then what you got. Moneywise. Just like a restaurant. We've all your feedback. Let's open up the feed bag. We've voicemail this week on what we're now calling the hot and ready line. Let's take a listen. This is quest at western Mark on Twitter, big fan of the show. So after so much time go into chain restaurants with each other to Nick and Mitch things that they could order for each other at a restaurant. Like if you guys went to Chile, do you think you could order something? The other person would wanna eat. Thanks, love the show. It'll scandal. Oh boy, eternal. I, I actually do think that I, I think we all kind of know each other pretty well and kind of calculate what each other would want. But the thing I will say with with you, Mitch is that I know that like if there's a place with a cocktail, you're going to want something like a my tie. You're gonna want some sort of island drinks. That's the thing I always think of is getting you some sort of thing with with pineapple and coconut served in a big fund glass because I know that means you're going to have a good time. I know your burger guy, your pizza guy, your big sandwich guy. But I mean, like I think also you're a guy who, and I'm not saying this to be insulting though it could be interpreted that way, but I think your guy who likes food. So I feel like there's there's not a lot of stuff where you're going to like, turn up your nose at it. I think like you're open to different types of of cuisine. So yeah, I, I think you're pretty easy order evident. I went and got pizza with Mitch the other night when we floated ordering before he got there, he was livid. Right. He is, does have some control. What the hell call me a control freak, but that's project, let's all right. Let's talk about controvery. Hey, Nick. I have an idea for Doboy thing. It's called Doboy y- delivery line now I don't like that. Okay. Tonight we got a new thing that we're calling the hot and ready. Like what the fuck is that shit about control-freak. When did you suggest delivery lines? Not sir. For him it. It's on our texts. I'll find it in there. Okay. Find it Senate to deliver line is probably a better name for that. I think it's confusing because we delivering confusing. So you have heard this for me before? No. By hearing heard it from UP shit. I probably heard it from you and I probably rightfully bad at it down. And then you created this tonight. Ready line on your own? Yeah, so but you changed it. You can throw a better name God. Anyways, your control freak. I could order for you, Nick, I think you like your life Asians, so I may imbibing. Excuse me server, sir. I may. I have. I think you're going to go for kind of a classic cocktail. You're talking like, I'm a guy who goes to renaissance fairs you. You are, but you don't even do the fun thing of going to the renaissance fair..

"Welcome back to Doboy shock Dover blast the month of religious chains with our guests got Ackerman Nick, I use and I should apologize to you because we found out from Scott story that putting on porno at the end of the night, isn't that weird after all? I know it was weird at eighteen and Allen. No, it's that's how Nick closes Doboy every night as he goes over my TV orders or pay per view porno. Right. I'm old school. I don't believe in this internet junk. Give me an old fashioned Porto you gotta order through the menu. You cost me. It's pretty expensive. I think each one is twenty five dollars. They are under as about one hundred dollars a month. IGT is I like I just wonder what it must just be like old men who don't understand that there's free pornography, right? Like it must just be like men who are like the way they could be the only way they know how to access it. It's it's crazy that market still exists. So Scott, can I say this? I mean, we can believe the name, but. Yeah. What about him? He Tom Cruise found someone told him about late on the blue button. Someone told him about internet point. He's like, what are you? What do you mean? And then they famous story. Yeah, story. Yeah. He had no idea existed, right? Which is I don't think it was like this was also two thousand like eight or something at door, ably naive. So or perhaps he's sheltered from the outside world. Yeah, I heard I heard a story about Bill Cosby that he put something in someone's drinks know that he. He on his on his show the 'cause the Cosby show that the writers wrote in a scene where he goes to an ATM and get some money, and he he, this is similar to your story was like toll, went to the writers, and it was like, you can't just like makeup science fiction and make up inventions in these things where the real show real things, they realize he didn't know what an ATM was bad. That's that. That seems crazy to lose that much time. Do you think about it? Like I mean, but that's the thing like I would think you would know about an ATM even never had to go to one that I remember Tim's old boss. One of his bosses the Simpsons I won't say who that fella. Go fill up my car and he'd give him like three hundred dollars. Just the tip would just keep it. I think I think he would keep some of it three hundred dollars. Would be like. Tim grinning ear to ear with that lantern jaw is the common man. What is it the not the common man, the average, the average man? Yeah, there's, there's. There's a computer generated, Tim, Tim is seen, and there's a computer generated image of the average like, man, I think come up because I, this was bang. Bang writers. Yeah, right. When you found this out. Yes. But it's if you Google. The average man? Yeah. And do an image. Google search? Yeah, it's like a computer gender. I comes up and it looks exactly like Tim back..

"Welcome back to Doboy. You're here with Darcy carton Mitch thought to finish Sears his good, so good. Wow, glad we got closure on that anecdote such a, you know, people don't say enough. I mean, I actually think that people don't say I, I mean, there's a young generation that never and I don't even know if they would like it, but it's the fact that every episode it just feels like a play right? We maybe on. I mean, it was on when I was a kid and then it was on in syndication and. You were in writing for that show that I wish I wouldn't have to do this podcast be set for life be living in Malibu, but yeah, it's it's great. Check it out of hold up. So Benny does. No, you're the pilot. I think people think of the pilot is like one of the best of all time. So if you're just like, will I like cheers checkup. Pilots futures, great Boston. We gonna make a show fall in love with a young Ted Danson and then keeping them for the rest of you so good, so good and he's always getting so good. So good. Yeah, he's, he's one in a million. He really is talent and hotness is a good looking guy. I saw him in CVS once you can't mistake him, no apps clearly dance. Yeah. God the fuck out or falling around in the store wasn't following a round privacy. So Benny hana's this week's chain. This was this was really quite an adventure Darcy before we get into this specific visit, Benny hana's a place that you've been to at number of times. You have some connection to what is what is your history with Benny hana's for me and my family, my family and me would be this. We would go there all the God damn time for any celebration. So like a mother's day, mother's birthday, a dad spurt. They had Father's Day somebody's birthday whenever we could. That was our celebration place, right? I mean, but also it was special so it I don't remember ever going there on a not celebration time. It wasn't just like, let's go to dinner tonight. Yeah. I mean, it's not really that kind of place that you're so you're not weighing like Chili's red, Robin. Podcast. Then there were other podcasts. Maron was at a different table table. Joe Rogan had a corner. So yeah, we went there a lot and at the one in the bay area in pleasant hill and it was its own little beautiful building a sort of Japanese theme to the look of it. It was just very, it was very beautiful is beautiful much more beautiful than than the one that we went to last night, although it was it was great. Yes, it was like in Santa hours kind of when we walked in there, I was like, I want I asked when the last time I was remodeled because. It was kind of like this dark Woody vibe, you know, like a carpeted carpeted, but but I liked it. It was it was it had it had a great vibe in there was it was. It was. It was really great. And then they also have like in that, and I think what Darcy, what you're speaking to a little bit is the is from the exterior just kind of like in an office. Yeah, it's not very. I mean, they have a little bit of signing out there, but it definitely doesn't like let you know. Look like some we went to it was it was like its own building. It was sort of far away from things. It had like a little bridge that you had to cross like rocks and and like plants. It looked like it felt very, I don't know..

That was good, but that was that was a lot of feedback on a lot of arguments in that group. I'm telling you gotta see it. It'd be a lot of arguments. Good arguments. It'd be good. Good, good, good points and give me being versus Mars really is what else we got. Next up. We got a Nina Nina right San saying y'all. So rowing saying that she is your favorite Tiffany. Well, the pilot we recorded and your the very first one we did in my office, which I've never heard actually, but the the pilot that they that aquaman had us do for it in the studio. It must have been breath in my memory. It was, oh, that's right. We did a pilot that we never released and then DC was our first guest. Yeah. What was different about the pilot? What was it all? Was it kind of just like, you know, what was it a completely different form was an unrecognizable to someone who's listening to your two hundred fiftieth episode? Well, it was a different show, but it was proof of concept for Scott where we'd said, we want to talk about reality shows and he was like. Due segments, we were like, yeah, and then and then we did segments. He just means take a break. It was more like basically means sell ads for me. I've noticed what really. Make money, people, love it. Listeners can't get enough of me making money. Doboy media's away. You know, much different. Yeah. Did you guys incorporate? We didn't cooperate. We started escort around the time. We started them patriotic because otherwise that money's just gotta go to one of us and that screws up your taxes. Yeah, I'm I'm, I forget what what? My I think I'm I'm vice president and secretary in mitch's the treasurer as well. This is an idea. And then the four of us sitting in this podcast studio went to the the atwater location in l. a.. Last night and evaluated that as well. What? What, what, how frequently? Because I was there Lindsay and Kelly, you guys were there? I, I showed up. We're waiting on Mitchell a little bit the you. You sick last reasonable yet. A reasonable excuse to be late for, but. But. But you seem like you seemed like pros like you had coupons there. You were like you had the deals. This is a place that you visit with some frequency. Well, I am a member of club veg as a my right. And so I the, I have said before that one of the few promotional emails, I keep our supervision coupons. I just leave them in my inbox and I know I can always find them. I don't actually go that often about it. I went more when I lived in out water village. I feel like every few months not that frequently, so I hadn't been for a while. Except that I went like twice in two months recently. Right. Yeah, yeah, I usually go about, yeah, like once every month and a half Algo because I live, I live over on that end. The city? Yeah, it is a pretty good frequency. It's the weird thing is I don't really think it's good. Right. I like it. Yeah, yeah. The weirdness of soup pointing exactly. Yeah. Go for it. I have a little distance between myself, zoo plantation, so I don't care as much. I think as everyone else this was this was your first visit of not this. This was my second visit. Your second. I think just one other time, which did you feel. It's just a funny, like it's a funny weird place to me. I think Buffy. Buffy it's a fake buffet, but it's not a a letdown of. I mean, that's the funny thing to me is that, like if I'm like, oh, I'll go to a buffet or whatever. And I guess like the plus is that it's like cleaner and more accessible than other buff. Like I feel like other buffets are like in weird parts of cities and cities or whatever. So much like real estate to have all the different stations here. It's just soup salad bread and desert and bread, including like the baked potato and the pastas and everything. But I was like, there was a shock when I like I when you first of all, when you first go, oh, here's a salad bar immediately. Don't even talk to anyone. You're going. You're off its disorients disorienting, and then there's so much of their so much. They're phthalate choices. Yeah, an insane amount of solid choices and then you get through and you're like, all right, like where's the main stuff? And then they're like, isn't just isn't any main thing? Yeah. Yeah. So that's that's kinda how that's. That's was what how my nights started with when I when I got in there, it really is. It's basing a buffet concept of the stuff that you would ignore it. Most buffet it's you're exactly right because that's the thing and regular buffet. People are like getting into the prime rib to the like, but you know, they do have the pizza which people like, and I was gonna, say, pasta the pasta at Sukhoi nation is the worst pasta is rotten and it is the worst pasta every single time. And I always try it to check. Is it still the worst? And the answer is always, yes. Yeah, we were talking about that. Then I, we were like, do that MAC and cheese nasty? Yeah. A girl at time you go, you get that MAC and cheese. You have to make sure you have to end. It's nasty. Every time the the pasta is overcooked and very wet, but not with sauce. No, no, because it's bland. It has as so little flavor. All three through the posits were so fucking blame..
