"Doing with patients so a migraine is the cascade of events than when triggered this cascade prompts a variety of symptoms and these include numbness tingling visual disturbances nausea vomiting dizziness fatigue. And of course. He's blinding headaches. So we've talked about in. It's hard if not impossible for people who don't have migraines understand just how absolutely debilitating they can be so when you try to explain to people. What a migraine feels like. What do you say so it quite challenging. It's one of those things that it doesn't feel like anything else so it's geeky can't fairly say compared to this it's doesn't taste like chicken exactly and so it's also one of these things that you know probably mercifully. You can't quite remember the intensity of the experience after it's over and it for better or worse. But i think for me that the way that i've often framed it is you know you have an is. It speaks to part of the the pathophysiology of of migraines we know with with certain drugs of abuse like heroin. They're sort of directly. Activating reward centers in the brain in ways that things in the course of your ordinary daily experience. You can't that are that are not unnatural. So that are super normal type of stimulus which is why they're problematic so giving sort of pleasurable sensations outside of the bounds of what we can normally experience and the same thing is happening on the other end of the spectrum with migraine you have the migraine process turning on directly pain centers in the brain and in sort of starting this self amplifying cycle where things continue to intensify over time. And so you have this sort of direct turning on the pain switch. In a way that doesn't occur in the course of everyday life so i think that's that accounts for why it is so different in the intensity sustained level of intensity for so long that you don't really have any analog for but much in the same way that kind of drugs of abuse or getting straight to the source bypassing the usual way in which we experience pleasure same thing is happening with migraine is going straight to the pain centers And turning those on directly. I above friend who suffers from severe cluster heading and he describes him as crushing debilitating outta they relate to migrant another words is it they thought to be related or is in some way totally different. Now they are related. There are differences. But there's a lot of overlap and they both appear to be Started at the hypothalamus as as the center where they originate and Cluster probably why. There's the clustering behavior to begin with because you have the hypothalamus regulating the circadian rhythms and other longer Cycles that we have so cluster. Headaches have very sort of predictable patterns and that's likely being generated by the hypothalamus So they overlap there in their area of central origin. But then they kind of diverge in certain ways so there's overlap and things that work but there are also things that worked for cluster that don't work from irene nice versa. Who is going to ask you through treatments. Were similar that so there are some three minutes to do work for both and then some so probably depends on what arm of the physiological cascade you've targeting lifestyle interventions worked for both or yeah in my experience they do and it's harder because of the nature of cluster headaches the feedback from your interventions is a little harder to pin down. You can have people who have an attack once every two years so it's hard to have a baseline to know if you're impacting whereas with migraines if you have someone who's coming in and having them daily for years and you do an intervention. It's pretty easy to understand whether the intervention held on. So josh i understand. The people start to feel the onset of a migraine anywhere between four and forty eight hours before the actual pain sets in and this is called the chrome. So what is the program. And its symptoms right so That actually gets to the hypothalamus as the origin. So migraines are divided into four phases and the program being the first phase and it's not always experienced and when it is experience is not always recognized that it's part of the migraine but something that can actually happen anywhere from twenty four to forty eight hours before the pain sets in and the typical or the range of symptoms. It can be things like excessive. Thir- store feeling hot or feeling cold or feeling euphoric or feeling fatigued and depressed or excessively hungry. So the common thread. they're being these are all hyperthermic. Generated feelings That we have. But they're being generated inappropriately right so they're being turned on when there's not a homies static need to do so so you're feeling hungry when you don't need e or you're feeling sleepy when you don't need asleep and so forth so that's one line of evidence that implicates the the hypothalamus is a place where it begins. You have those symptoms initially and again lasting anywhere from twenty four to forty eight hours. And then the migraine sets in and for some people. The pain of migraine preceded by an aura. Which is often frightening but temporary neurological disturbances. That sets off an alarm of an impending migraine headaches. So what we know about auras so ours of these sort of tro temporary neurological disturbances usually last about twenty to forty five minutes and so if we divide the four phase of migraine they occur after the pro drome and again. There's pretty much every possible combination. You can imagine people can experience so the this is in sort of the most classic form pro jerome and followed by aura but these these are temporary neurological disturbances. The lobe is the most common place where they occur they can cover any in any part of the brain described everywhere but most commonly oxyde at all which produces visual symptoms. So the most classic form is kind of this Small flickering blindspot starts out in the central area vision in one field or the other the right or the left. Depending on what side of the brain's happening and then slowly expands over time and the first person to describe to theorize about what was happening was a scientist leyow in the forty so he had migraines and in had had these auras and hypothesize that there was a wave of activity happening in the brain and based on measured this sort of how it spread over his in his visual field and cer- back a napkin calculation that it was spreading at a rate of about three millimeters per minute in the brain since. Then we've been able to you know. Look at these What's happening in the brain during during this phenomenon. More careful and turns out he was almost right on three to three to five millimeters per minute spreading. So what we think is the core of this They're pretty good. Evidence is that we have this initial deep polarization in the brain followed by hyper polarization and it spreads it starts out in one spot and spreads out like a wave at this rate three millimeters per minute and then kind of that part lasts about twenty to forty five minutes and that's what thought to produce the experience of ara and so what part of the brain that wave is happening in is determines where What type of symptoms will be experienced. Is the aura that people describe with migraines xanten somewhere a similar to the experience that some people have preceding an epileptic seizure. It's probably physiologically different. It's similar in the sense that it's a another type of warning symptom you know. Prior to the to the to the main event right but the spreading depression is debt. That phenomenon is unique to migraines physiologically different physiological different right after a and after the pain subsides do people bounce back quickly functionally cognitively or or.

"Being so far being a diabetic. But you've got to be realistic. Some people are on Facebook, although it's down there. And they're showing what they're eating, it's like, don't be grappling to me, but you can't lose weight. I see the crap you're putting in the temple of the Holy Spirit and it ain't good for it. Diseases are deficiencies of NASA and might include something as simple as a canker. So we're dementia depression, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, halitosis headaches, indigestion, insomnia, yes, limb pains, loss of appetite, low blood sugar muscular weakness, skin eruptions, and inflammation. So that's nice. Yeah, but how many times on podcast I told you, don't judge off of a list because that list could also be thyroid. It could be vitamin D, you know, it could be lack of B 12 and B 6, but niacin is actually B three and I had a question. Another rabbit trail had a question the other day said, well, in your B 12 methyl supreme, you have riboflavin waters riboflavin do. Well, it helps with the mental get up and go also. And lack of that can cause dermatitis dizziness, hair loss, insomnia, so that B 12 methyl. Supreme, Janet knows the day I didn't take it. Yeah, you got to do it. And it has to do with the absorption of beat 6 paroxetine. And that's when it makes you happy because it helps the happy hormones or neurotransmitters across the blood brain barrier from your GI tract. But niacin also has a form of vitamin B three in it to determine it helps protect kidney function. Did you know that? It's a form of B three. That's a trap when she asked me a question if I said no, I didn't know that y'all would think I'm a dummy. And if I say yes, of course she thinks I'm a smart LA. So she asked me something. It's a trap, folks. Well, the reason I'm saying that, people always think nice and it's just for lowering cholesterol. And it does that. It's the detoxification of the liver and Bond fluids. Yes. Right. And now, with this thing of everyone being sick, I don't know where it's coming from and they can't get well. We're finding other uses for things we've had on our shelf that may not have been so popular, not that long ago. How's that? You could lead, honey, I'll dance. So you might want to consider adding that in because it's not just for cholesterol, right? There's not just for breakfast anymore. They'll add would say. And what's interesting about smokers? They say that in light of niacin and insufficiency of niacin may increase risk of severe disease. And interestingly, nicotine and niacin are analogs, meaning they can go on the same receptor site. Meaning they have similar means by which they work. In fact, successful nicotine addiction detoxification uses niacin to help replace nicotine in the body. So if you're trying to quit smoking, niacin can be a big help to that. And it may also explain how teenagers become addicted so quickly smoking. One research postulated that if a teens diet is insufficient and niacin, it would increase the body's craving for tobacco. Well, everybody's insufficient because our foods are pretty nutrient deficient. And now that you mentioned that, do you know what you have to eat to try to get nice and pork? Beef liver. Pork. To help meet a woman's requirements. Salmon. I'm gonna go pig hunt and how about that? Right, so there's people not wanting liver. So probably a lot of people are very nice and deficient. It's niacin deficiency can cause neurological symptoms and progress to paranoid and suicidal behaviors with auditory and visual hallucinations. And we're hearing more and more people that are having neurological problems. They're getting some sort of toxins in their system and then they get I'm trying to be nice. This will just help some detox. Some are, oh my God, incredibly angry and it's not their normal personality and it's like, well, okay, you're really toxic. And we're talking about friends and family and patients. Folks, you have to increase your nutrient levels so that your body can work in warp speed or getting closer to a 100% of what God intended you to be. Now is the time folks to increase your nutrient level and now really, really, really at times getting short now's the time you should stock up an extra month or two of these things. And now let's talk a little bit about melatonin. Melatonin is the other one y'all don't want to hear about because you don't want these wild dreams. Yes, you do. Well, doctor Lewis was taking it for an anti aging thing. So I started taking it also because I didn't realize it helped with the anti aging. And he's like, of course it does. I know. I look good for a hundred. Well, you start losing some of that when you get older and he read how it really helped start reversing some of it. So I started doing it. You get used to it. It's not like you, you know, if you increase, we've got some peppermint tablets that melatonin lozenges. So they go, they dissolve differently than the melatonin slow release we have that's a capsule. And if you start with like one of those melatonin peppermint tablets, they not only taste great, but they help you go to sleep super fast. And then you do have dreams, but like I said, they calm down after a while. But melatonin helps protect brain cells during these infections that seem to be around. And it's the flu season. Yes. And melatonin and niacin combination have added benefits if you're sick. At the time. So you might consider doing that if you feel like you've come down with something recently. Well, you know, one of the reasons is it has a greater range of effectiveness than say, vitamin C or vitamin a or beta carotene and those things are really, really good to take. So it's an antioxidant prevents the harmful oxidation reactions. It's also great for elderly. It means to look at you. I was just glancing your way. It changes your hypertension and heart attack, things, and of course, we'll get into that. I hope I doubt we'll get there, but can possibly reduce the risk of certain kinds of cancer. It stimulates immune system, plays a major role in production of estrogen and testosterone. Hey, hey, more testosterone. Yeah, it helps up with the elderly. It helps influence their circadian rhythm. She loves using my senior discount and it's like, man, it busted her butt when she got to use it when they had a really low number on that. Elderly discount,.

"Bio right and genesis that basically means formation of new mexico contra mico conjure produce energy the more meadow conjure. We have more energy cellular energy. We can produce. So what does that mean to us. It means we're actually going to have more energy to live our lives which gives us greater resilience to daily stresses more energy to do the things that we have to do for our career to perform at a high level and have energy left over to spend with our family or on recreation. So if you all more energy ketogenic diet and lifestyle will definitely help improve that. So that's our forth big thing. V thing is brain and so we've talked about some of the reasons why it benefits our brain but what we know. Is that key tones. When our body produces these key tones they get into our brain. Our brain cells can use them for energy. And what we call epi genetic influencers. What does that mean. That means that they actually in healthy genetic characteristics in our brain so basically they shut down where we call neuro inflammatory pathways so genes that are responsible for promoting inflammation our brain. A key tones will shut those down. they'll also stimulate something called brain derived. Neurotrophic growth factor. What is beedi and do it. Helps co create a branching pattern with our neurons and so the neurons gross and the nerve cells grow. They branch out and really. It's kind of like a tree. The more branches on our nerves. Okay the greater flexibility of thought and they developed something called synapses little gaps between nerves which gives us a greater range of thoughts allows us to have better cognition and better cognitive acceleration the ability to think sharply and quickly and react to the stresses in our life so it helps enhance the brain. Preserves it reduces the risk of developing dementia or alzheimer's and helps you perform at a significantly higher level. Guys just wanted to interrupt this podcast. "Absorption and so that can be a really really good thing in the sense that we don't cause a lot of systemic typically adverse effects however If we don't get you know. Absorption through the gut into the bloodstream. That means that we can't really treat systemic infections with that medication. Very well as well. So that's why it makes sense that you know. In an infection like c diff or you know traveler's diarrhea or small tests bacterial overgrowth paddock encephlopathy. Those are really gut issues. "Just so good like a protein power protein power life plan like really good stuff and back from the early nineties. They did a lot of great great books and good material He has long made this case that. Yeah keystones her good but just eat a lot of protein. The protein will get converted into glycogen and deliver and delivery will release it in a nice steady. Even pattern you know. And the bernstein diabetes solution book which is oriented mainly towards type one diabetics but it works type two diabetics to it's just phenomenal for for managing blood glucose levels and type one diabetics which is one of the most difficult metabolic states to manage. And he's very protein centric in that that low carb approach but on a too little protein too much fat and then just generally when people are shifting to a low carb diet inadequate electrolytes specifically sodium. And and that was something that i for twenty years. I didn't get that right. You know when it was my my good friends tyler. Carre and louise philipson your who are co founders with stealth in element that I i asked them to look at what i was doing because i couldn't quite properly fuel my brazilian jujitsu on a low carb diet and they looked at what i was doing. Man you need more electrolytes you need more sodium like oh. I salt my food. You know i'm good in it. Took about a year of me. Not listening to my coaches before i. I finally just did what they requested of me. Which is hit this. A minimum of five grams of sodium day and it was like a light switch was flipped like it was so stunning and i'm sure that i consumed a fair amount of sodium prior to that. But if you're eating kind of a whole food based diet there's not much sodium in there you know when you remove most processed foods are just not a lot of sodium around. So i if If you look at a medically supervised ketogenic diet the dietitian that put those together make absolutely certain that people get at least five grams of sodium and day and the potassium magnesium and whatnot. That they are. So i'm how protein too much and then inadequate electrolytes would i would say. Yeah and that's really. That's really critical. You talked about sodium in our society. We're told sodium bad causes pressure. 'cause you're retain water and really what the science says when you're on a high carb diet like most people are in society. You have high insulin. And insulin causes you to retain sodium so in that case. If you're gonna continue on a high carb diet you should be on a low sodium diet although that's not really healthy and so it'd be better to go low carbon you go low-carbon your insulin. Levels drop which reduces inflammation. And then you excrete the sodium. You actually need more sodium to produce energy and And when people don't get that sodium especially in the beginning when they first start transitioning into Genyk diet a lot of people experience. The kito flew with jump typically related to this issue with just not enough sodium. Not enough electrolytes. Yup yup and i. It's funny because i'm a reasonably good biochemist's can do the metabolic pathways and everything. But that it's interesting. How the key to diet as it's been kind of released out to the masses. Nobody was talking about sodium. Not not in the way that they they needed to the east did a really good job of highlighting. That in my friends tyler. Lewis like daily really. Beat that that drum rather rather powerfully in a when you look at ninety five percent of the problems that people site with low carb diets that fatigue the lethargy kind of brain fog Things that look like adrenal. Or maybe hp ta access to. I think it's mainly low sodium. Which is stressed her in does cause some problems with a elevated cortisol an and output and it's funny Although adrenal fatigue isn't really the term we should use. It should be i guess. Hp axis dysregulation. But when you look at adrenal recovery protocols it first thing in the morning you take like a teaspoon assault and so yeah. There's some there's some good science there but it's funny. How those really critical pieces could soom enough sodium on a low carb diet use blow past it. Could your protein carbs fat. Like that's all that's important but the sodium is huge guys. I just wanted to interrupt this podcast. Tell you about the importance of electrolytes. "They say 90% or better so Hmm. You know, when I get the flu, vaccine shingles and all that I can wait for you to come out for everybody. I'm with you, baby. Let's wait together. I only because I think a lot of people that need Is there on the part of lot of frontline workers knew. Like that guy mentioned the shingles vaccine. Have you heard about that? Huh? I've seen the signs. You know if you're a certain age, get it, Get a shingles if you had chickenpox in the past So shingles. The vaccine is really nasty, though apparently maybe some of the KGO audience Has had it the vaccine for shingles. You better put the weekend decide type thing. You get a lot of. Yeah, a lot of pretty heavy symptoms. From what I'm told. I've heard that from multiple people. Maybe you have You in the cage. Oh, audience. Somebody has had not such a bad thing, but I'm told. You know, it's not just that your arm hurts. It really can You know, brutalize you for a couple of days now, apparently it's still I've never had shingles. But I mean shingles is really nasty. S O even it brutalizing you for a couple of days is better than you actually getting shingles, So it's worth it. It's a decent exchange. So I've heard in the CDC apparently says some side effects from getting the shingles vaccine. Readiness swelling as you say, but some people felt tired. They had muscle pain, headache, shivering fever, stomach pain, nausea, But if it means not getting this, you know shingles, then I think it's well. It's nice trade off. You know what I was doing Voice over a lot of voiceover commercials. You do a couple of commercials for you know, various medications, medications right of one sort or another over the counter stuff or whatever it is. You ask your doctor for whatever it is, and literally the Side effects of the ones that you just read. That's what made me think of it. I mean, it's just it's all how you read it, and so, like, Read those again, the one the side effects for the shingles vaccine or one Well, some people who took the shingles vaccine had a side effect of redness and swelling where they got that shot in the arm, but some felt tired. Had muscle pain. Headache. She's shivering. Yes. So you're supposed to read it. You're supposed to read it at a pretty good clip is what they tell you. But don't read it like you're burying it. OK, like that. You're not supposed to do that. I remember they said, Well, you know, what do you want me to read it Like legal? Like, you know, your manage my, very you know, I mean, you know that, right? Remember, FBI, See whatever it is, they need to move about the cabin. Right, exactly or and they said no, No, no, no, no. You don't want to read it like legal. Okay. You want to read it? Like you read the rest of the spot a little bit faster. Pace is what I recall in a couple of instances, but you don't want to seem like you're burying it. But sometimes you know those side effects. Take 30 seconds to read there so substantial and they must be included in every spot. In some cases are longer than the actual commercial. So that's what they did He tell you to read the side effects with a smile on your face to make it sound cherry or not his dyers. The rest of the spot is with a smile. Then you have to read it the same way is what I want to remember. And I mean, but but But if the rest of the spot is you know, in between, then you're supposed to relieve in between. The point is, they don't want you to change up. Anything to draw attention to the side effects. God, I mean, that's what I got in doing in doing those spots. But when you mentioned that series of things in the shingles vaccine that could happen, I mean, you talk about nausea, headaches, dizziness, fatigue. You know if these conditions persist for more than eight days, contact your doctor, You know, I mean, that kind of thing. It made me think of it. That's interesting. Anyway. We hope that the Side effects, which honestly? I've seen a full range of things on these side effects for this vaccine that's coming for covered 19. And you the cage. Oh, audience has sent me a couple of things sent me articles saying that you know they're They're burying some of the side effects that are that are there and one. I think really decent and we can discuss this in greater detail in the next couple of days. But one really decent point that was made. I thought by a kgo listener. Let me shit. Joyce is her name. She says that you know the best thing you can do. Is too Booster immune system with vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc grape seed extract, she says. So I do think that you know, in a country where we don't really take care of ourselves, and I have to say, honestly, it's hard to take care of yourself with covert 19 swirling around. You're trying to deal with your own psychological well being. Many have taken huge economic hits. I mean, this is a really tough time. So I do think we kind of sacrifice their own physical well being and all this we don't eat right. You know, we're certainly not vigilant about vitamin C. D's and etcetera, right, But those things are important. So, to whatever extent you can just, you know, grab a bottle of those things. And those supplements are, you know wildly popular right now you can get him. They've increased availability that increased production you ought to and just, you know. Probably make your immune system even more stout. And I think that when you get the vaccine if you're going to get it It'll probably help you with potential side effects. In other words, your body is coming to the vaccine as a stronger thing that would have. Were you not taking care of it? In some ways, that's exit point. You're getting a lot of text messages about people who have experience with getting the shingles shot. Oh, yeah. What about just that? Well, I'd say it's 50 50. But some didn't have any side effects, but some definitely felt it for a couple of days on the arm. May 31 some side of I can't read that I'm here. I'm sorry. Sue in Fair Oaks detective, then from the 415 area code, but Fair Oaks up in the Sacramento County. Fortunately, I had no adverse reaction to shingles vaccine, Syria's of two of them. So That's cool. Um, had single does shingles several years? No problem. There's a new shingles vax that is now two doses. No idea if that has side effects. Um There And then there's somebody else who's taking that from the four always shout before away. Had the first dose of two of the shingles vaccines Round two comes in February. Happy birthday to May I have a sore arm for about three days, but that's it didn't realize I got off so easy. I think you did. If you just got a sore arm is not so bad. Anyway. "Find things are really refreshing. Mentioned dead I think menzer part of the gods gift to your air there in tastic medicine. I think they're very effective in in a nourishing and supporting our digestive system. So i liked. I like to use the men's quite a bit and you can do that. In the in the vegetable braatz is well as in the in the juices. Yeah absolutely and so. Let's let's talk a little bit more about the juices and so there are certain vegetables that provide a lot of jews. I think about like cucumbers or something down there are other ones that promote a lot of chlorophyll and there are other ones. That basically are more like the bitter herbs. I was still people bitter as good for your liver. And so i i'd like to set up your juices using those those three categories. I kind of lead people runamuck. I guess i guess the biggest thing is to enjoy what you're doing. And so i have some of my favorites I encourage people to experiment. They might find something that they really really like. For example this wondering guy called better red than dadan. I discovered this drink many years ago. Yom's were plentiful. I've never used the app. You think what would that taste like am sweet potatoes when you just. They do yield a lot of juice and it actually tastes great. And then you throw in beatson and your radishes and other things in there you can really release spice it up So Yeah there's no real steadfast rule other than to experiment find the things that you like Types people get stuck just drinking and eating the same sorts of foods every day. Carrots are very good Detoxifying the i wouldn't just drink a plane carrot juice. I would add to it. I'd add ginger right at. I'd parsley. I'd had been something to Ice it up in a little extra kush to to help benefit in on a on a fast Either preparation for water vast or doing a juice fast. I generally would recommend eight to twelve ounces of a fresh vegetable juices Up to three three or four times a day In zim my for for for fasting the currents are readily available. I like juice I referred to be juices the vegetable viagra ads so many benefits of very beneficial to our heart vascular system. But it also supports delivery as you said I y gatting ginger to just about anything and and getting into the fruits annapolis ginger. I like even apple ginger A great way to get that that that ginger into sometimes straight ginger shots or or suber Of people aren't used to that. I recommend diluting it with a little bit of apple juice pineapple juice. It makes it a little bit easier to get down for some people. Yeah for sure and so when somebody's looking to possibly do something like a five seven date juice or broth fast in preparation mode. Would you recommend like let's say taking a month or so or a few weeks and just replacing one meal with like a big juice or broth or something like that to get their body use to that lower calorie and getting used to giving their body preps and opening up the drainage pathways g recommend. I think i think that's all really good. What i would recommend for for people in general preparing for any sort of but three five seven day juice or water fast. Is that three at least three days prior to starting to just raw foods and with a focus on vegetables exemption is doing eating drinking some vegetable broth and soups. And and that sort of thing. Because i think those can be kind of nourishing and satisfying the same in the same way. But yeah i think focusing on raw foods three days prior to a fast and three days after really is just a great way to kind of set the stage for her Giving your body tools to help detoxify and and also kind of getting used to a lower calorie intake guys. "Dr. Michael murray thank you for joining us here at the fasten transformation summit. Thanks david i love the name of your summit. Transformation is always a great thing of fasting. <hes> can be powerful vehicle to to make that happen. Yeah absolutely and so. How did you get get going. I mean obviously you've got this passion for research. How do you get started. In natural health. World had become the voice of natural medicine. There's an inner story in kind of the outer story. I tell everyone. I'll do a little bit. Mix of both of my father who developed a condition called els palsy. it <hes>. Condition where you lose the <hes>. Information to the muscles of the face a space with literally paralyzed you went so nature catholic doctrine at literally abroad his face back to light and <hes>. I had a knee operation a couple years prior and it just wasn't really responding to physical therapy and he suggested i see this nature path. I did and it was just a miracle in my life. And i need to watch learn more. And the more i learned about the diet herbs natural approaches to health and human it just resonated with something deep inside the end this became my initial. I feel really blessed. And i gained so much personally from the path that i was led to and hopefully i made a difference in the world on my own death. Yeah absolutely certainly have. I need you and i really want to acknowledge you for just paving the course for younger people like me to come up and have all these references and be able to really share this message more and more people throughout the world. And you've seen. I mean literally over the last twenty years huge growth in a natural natural wellness. And other work you've done is helped high near that. So thank you for that thank you. This is such an important topic. I just wanted to stress at all the viewers out there. I really believe that the greatest threat to human health today is not some super bayerischer. You've been eating too much sugar junk food. The biggest threat to human health is the ever increasing environmental toxin load and we are at the top of the food chain and so we have the ability to increase as we age. The concentration of these toxins in our body are <unk>. Accumulators these toxic compounds. It's really really important. These days to do everything we can to avoid. And then a support our body's ability to get rid of these toxic compounds. So i really welcome the opportunity to talk about this really important subject. Yeah you're so right about that. We need detoxification strategies. And that's your topic today. And so what kind of results. In what strategies do you like to use for detoxification and fasting. Will i think the the detoxification is really kind of complex series of events in our body in require an unbroken chain of these events to effectively. You get rid of toxic compounds. One of the great <hes>. Basic tenants of nature pathak medicine is to remove obstacles to cure and obviously these toxins can be an obstacle but so too can <hes>. Our inability to get rid of these toxins. There's a lot of things that go into getting rid of these toxic substances. We have to support our body properly a day in and day out but i think especially during a fast. Yeah absolutely what sort of toxins are the big ones that were trying to eliminate from our body. Well you know thousands of years ago when when they were doing fasting for healing they're mainly concerned with water. Soluble metabolic talks talks that our body naturally produces a water. Fasting was really great way to cut a flesh. All these compounds out these days toxins. That were most concerned about fat. Soluble toxic pesticides. herbicides flame. retardant solvents heavy metals and these compounds are stickier harder for to get rid of and we have to use different types of strategies along with a making sure that we're well hydrated to get rid of these talks and so. I think that there's a lot that we can do to assist the body. Get rid would the call persistent organic pollutants. Those are the compounds that the that i mentioned part of those that i mentioned pesticides. Herbicides flame retardant. These are the compounds that i think when people think of talks these days. That's really what they're thinking of. And for good reason these these are really a harmful compounds to

"Detoxing and cleansing your health. That makes sense I. Just you know my mom just having her surgery one of the things that we were noticing her labs because they were having our drink so much water was a kidney transplant is her sodium dived honor and so they're like Whoa. WHOA Whoa, wait a minute. We need to back off. And then they wanted her in like three thousand milligrams of sodium a day to just help increase a sodium intake. So that makes sense that you can't drink too much water. We always hear that drinking water so so very good for us, but with there's a healthy balance, right? Yeah in some of the symptoms of low sodium levels, include headaches, lightheadedness, dizziness, fatigue, and so. You know if you're feeling, you know any of those things while you're fasting. It's probably likely due to one of two things. One is caffeine withdrawal, and so if you've cut out caffeine, that's another big one. Obviously when you're fasting. If you want to do a real water fast where you're cutting out caffeine, you've gotTa Wean. Yourself off of that caffeine for a weakened and ahead of time so if you're normally drinking two cups, you gotTa bring it down to one cup than three quarters of a cup than half a cup than what you know what I mean like literally Wean yourself off. If you want to do that or just, do black coffee and water, but you most likely than people who I see have headaches. are easily either because they have a caffeine withdrawal or because they have an electrolyte deficiency. Which? Would sugar? Withdrawal caused the headaches, too. Yeah yeah in the other pieces. It's all about getting your body adjusted to being in a fat burning versus a sugar burning state, and so you know you can, your body is you're either going to be a sugar burner, or you're going to be a fat-burner right, and so if your body is so used to going to glucose for fuel. Then you're going to have a hard time because it's going to be like. Wait a minute. There's no glucose there. What am I going to do right and most people right? You're burning carbs for for fuel like Sugar and Glucose so if you are a fat burner. That means that you were going once. Your body gets into KITO SIS right Your body is going to fat for fuel instead of sugar for fuel and so One of the analogies I. Always give people is this. I say okay if I have eighty dollars in my pocket right now. And I WANNA buy something for fifty just gonNA pull the eighty dollars out in here. You're going to drive to the bank to go. Get the money because I. Already have that money in my pocket. It's the exact same thing with your body. The the money in your pocket is glucose. And then the money in the bank is your fat, so if you if you have glucose in your body, it's GonNa I. Use the Glucose that you have. If you don't have any good goes, it's forced to go to the bank, which is now your fat storage, and so that's why fasting so powerful, because it literally says okay I don't have any money in my pocket I. Don't have any glucose I gotta go. Eat The fat, and that's why it's so powerful in his stat. The Sade is at the state of Ketosis when when it's doing that is going. It's switching from being the the sugar burning to the fat burning. Yes absolutely okay go. Ahead. So basically Keita's. This is a metabolic process. So when your body doesn't have enough glucose for energy, it burns the stores fats then once it's doing that that results in a build up of acids called key tones within the body. So people they you can, you can get key choices. That's why they call it. The Kito Diet Right because there's no glucose there so at then has to do that, but a lot of. It's funny that people don't realize that. They think Oh Fasting isn't Ketosis, but it is because Kito says the means when your body doesn't have enough glucose for Energy Burns fat stores, and once it does that it results in a build up of acids culled tones within the body, and so that's why you can measure those key tones with urine sticks and stuff like that. Okay, so then how long does take us to get our body into a state of Ketosis that different for different people? Right and that it absolutely is, it's. It's basically what they say and. No one can answer this question, so if anyone says Oh, I can answer. This question may be lying. Physically impossible to say, but people say that it could take anywhere from one to three weeks to get your body into a fat burning state, but the truth is. Nobody can really know you you. You will know that you kind of have gotten there because it's easier to do it right like. People. Who Fast. People who fast they realize okay. Will you start going okay? This is not bad. Right like for me. My body is so used to running too fat for fuel. That! It doesn't bother me, so that's when you have to get to that place where you, you will know yourself some people. They do it one day two days. There fat adapted. That's what it's called like the term that everyone us is. Are you fat adapted? Have you heard of that that word or that term I? HAVE NOT? I have not I'm really quite intrigued. Biologists because I have been told. And I know this has nothing to do with fat adaptive, but that my body does not.
