Miami Reverses Course on Reopening

"With coronavirus cases surging in Florida right now. The Mayor of Miami Dade County is expected to issue an emergency order that will roll back at least some business reopenings, and perhaps including in person dining restaurants mayor Carlos Jimenez is joining us right now. Mayor, thank you so much for joining us Can you give us a preview of what you're expected to do in the in the coming hours? We're we're going to be closing some of the businesses that opened sometime around the beginning of June because we saw a huge spike, and in young cases in the young people becoming positive are on June fourteenth, so we went back a couple of weeks. And around May thirty-first, we issued orders to allow of the gyms, etc, those kind of facilities to open up also took away some restrictions on the operating hours of restaurants at the same time, and around the same time. Obviously, we had some protests here, and so all of those things put together kind of lead us to believe that the young people especially when he took curtail the social activities, the people because that's. That's where our problem started with people, and then transmitting it to their parents and grandparents to where now we've had a doubling of people in in the hospital with Covid Nineteen, we have doubling people in ICU. See You and a doubling of people in ventilators, and my concern is that we're going to reach the capacity or medical capacity here in Miami Dade, and that's something I do not want to get to. It's so so worrisome. In fact, we did some checking mayor in the past two weeks. As you know better than anyone hospitalizations in your county of increased by eight percent, the number of ICU beds, being used increased by one hundred and fourteen percent, so I I'm wondering why you waited until after the busy holiday weekend to roll back some of these reopenings. Well. One of the first thing I did I mean before the holiday weekend winced a curfew again. That's that's in order to curtail some of this social activity that we've been seeing. Around town, a young people getting together either using restaurants as quasi bars after hours or actually getting together and homes. And maybe banquet halls, and all that so banquet halls all those things that are going to be closed before the holiday season also I holly how you know the the last holiday weekend closed all the beaches because we felt that it was going to be a surge there, and we also close a lot of casinos and casinos movie theaters bowling alleys. All things ever closed before the weekend. Weekend this is the next step going into into trying to tamp down the rate of infection here minded and people don't necessarily realize or appreciate that over the weekend Florida we reported more cases in the single day than New York did at its peak back in April. I guess I'm wondering why. The governor disentis continues to say this is simply the result of doing more testing is wrong. No look, the more testing you do, the more people you're going to see is gonna come up positive because we did a medical study here in Miami Dade two months ago that we knew over two hundred thousand people had already tested positive if we took the positive rate. That that we put that out. Two hundred thousand people had tested positive for the antibody, so the official number that you see especially Miami Dade. We have about forty thousand way undercounted his body by factor of ten. I expect the same thing in the state of Florida. So the more testing you do, the more people you're gonNA. Find the habit our problem isn't. Isn't so much the number as it is the percentage, and so we were testing at about an eight percent positive rate of the numbers of the tests that were being conducted. Now we're over twenty percent. That's the real issue, and then when you correlate that with the increase in the hospitalizations, then you know you have an uptick and and the infection rate. Rate here in Miami Dade, county. We need to bring that down below ten percent, so we have to rollback some of the things that we did our problem, too, is that a lot of people didn't take personal responsibility? They didn't wear their masks. They didn't wear their mass outdoors when there were within six feet, and so those rules have been in place since. Since mid April and unfortunately a lot of our young people are not complying with those rules or getting together there partying and they're not wearing the masks, and and this in this contagion really took off with that young, that young demographic, eighteen, thirty, four, thirty, five to forty five age group. They just shot up and now Zina's also that and I. It's so hard to thousands of lives will be saved if people just wear the mass wash their hands engage in social, distancing lives will be saved. These are simple things to do, but so many people are simply not doing in an awful to see them out of the street behaving the way they are a mayor. A good luck to everyone in Miami. Dade appreciate it very much joining us.

"Fort Lauderdale commissioners discussed reopening plans during a virtual workshop today they're working on a working proposal that will be sent to governor Disentis detailing a measured approach in coordination with neighboring cities mayor dean Trantalis would like a phased in opening a beaches were walking jogging and swimming would be allowed initially but no sunbathing and people would need to remain six feet apart he says they would allow normal hours of operation if you have a hundred people that want to use the beach and they're only allowed to use it with a two hour time frame it becomes more difficult to socially distance the plan for parks is similar to the one being implemented in Miami Dade Wednesday people can go to exercise but they must practice social distancing and no contact sports like basketball or allowed

"Want but you cannot deficit spend your way to prosperity I'll say it over and over and over again the government shut down the economy that is these governors in on so forth and they need to open up big chunks of the economy again and then you have governors like Disentis who've been resisting this group thank to shut down everything but he eventually did because he came under attack for not taking this virus seriously enough I come under attack for this to buy these truly stupid choirs I human beings if you will now I just did a partial list somebody's providing us with food and heat and clean water and electricity gasoline for cars somebody's driving our trucks Dilip delivering our mail UPS fed ex grocery stores are open somebody's putting that stuff on the shelves we have drive through fast food somebody's handing us that food you have soap and diapers toilet paper prescription drugs and on and on and on the pharmacists that doctors nurses cops firefighters ambulance drivers Amazon Google Facebook Twitter all working seven eleven and on and on and on so not everybody is in their home not everybody's lost their job not every business is shot and so what I'm suggesting to you is we need a task force not with Mnuchin and government ties but the task force of individuals good smart individuals with no ideologues are agenda except that they believe in capitalism in the private sector to look at the various sectors of our economy and I urge these governors and mayors where relevant and I think it's probably relevant in a large number of ways to open them to open them why is it that when it comes to our police officers our ambulance drivers should our firefighters or emergency personnel hospital workers we don't say shut all that down because some percentage of these wonderful people will get the corona virus we say no they have to work we need the for the public good in public safety can you read this terrible reports seventeen percent of the NYPD has the and so forth and so on nobody would even suggest showing down the NYPD obviously you can't but they say we want a flattening curve except when it comes to these people because we need and I'm not saying we should be frivolous about this at all but I'm saying we have to take a good look at it these various businesses and so forth because I don't think that balance is in place right now I don't think that's happening keep in mind again the present United States he's not a governor he didn't shut these businesses need can't open these businesses but there's no reason they can't look at this and provide guidance just as they provide guidance to states on the medical issues otherwise we're going to go broke here in a very ugly way because the pushes all in one and Washington is going to spend and spend and spend and spend infrastructure are you kidding me now you're going to spend to try on it what it's always been the plan I don't care if it's always been the plane just spent two point two and what I have tried all loans you're not going to create jobs if you're putting people out of work in New York in California in Illinois it's over Michigan how you gonna put people to work I really don't comprehend this I like to think I'm relatively intelligent I don't know when I see the building roads they seem to congregate okay Mister producer all around the cement mixer you name it whatever you've got some of these fools who harken back and long for Franklin Roosevelt and the new deal ladies and gentleman this isn't time for Franklin Roosevelt and the new deal well he total war machine you know it's funny we're not building a war machine how much of this money is actually going to building new hospitals not a lot or to the healthcare infrastructure the vast majority of its not is it a stimulus bill is an employment bill isn't alone bill isn't everything bill what is it it's a bill that was put together by Kim committees in Congress well then that's what you get a bill that's put together by committees in Congress two trillion more it's not enough and after that I just heard the treasury secretary say will fill whatever gaps we have to fill in you know one person or even a relative handful of people can't know everything it's impossible the country is too big it's too diverse you don't know the oil patch from a restaurant and they're very complex and complicated things to run you can't run from Washington DC I don't care who your I don't care what administration here at we're trying to get cash payments to the uninsured we're trying to get cash payments to the unemployed were trying to get cash payments to this said in the other we need to open up more the comic this can't go on forever I've been talking about this for how long must produce for months maybe a lone voice for the longest time at least weeks you can continue to do this well you're not going to come out of it certainly not very soon and worse yet you have this massive inflation and the loading of the currency and the value of everything you own seventies we had massively high inflation people couldn't sell their homes people couldn't buy homes the real estate market was depressed people don't invest the only thing they invest in as certificates of deposit and so forth and so on which does very well for the individual but contributes almost nothing the growth of the economy what happens when you have a weak currency yes the K. sure is extraordinarily painful you have to tighten the money supply and you have to tighten the money supply fast so you have two conflicting things going on at once massive inflation because a mass amount of money out there plus you're tightening the supply you were those that used to cut your ringing inflation out of the system which creates enormous economic dislocation these wild swings on governmental economic policy only spending the question of how much you're spending make it very unpredictable and very difficult I'll give you a perfect example you have landlords today I'm not talking about even make a landlord's but you know they have investments to the landlord a bed and breakfast even under these circumstances what's going on today when tenants are being told you know you can take a pass for up to four months who the hell is going to buy a rental property yet to be out of your mind today to buy a rental property could you don't control the future you don't control the rent and your the ultimate mortgage payer you're still paying a mortgage on the property who the hell is going to open a restaurant today I hate to say that but look I know a couple people who own restaurants I know a couple who are dear friends of ours and one restaurant and then we have dear friends for a couple around five or six restaurant but they're not rich they break the rest every day and he sent me a desperate email today he wanted me literally to call the president of the United States it's a please I beg you open up the economy or I'm gonna lose everything I have this is why when people say we're going to give you a loan if you employ people it doesn't work that way you don't employ people of nobody's coming in to eat and you can't stay in business if you're a business to applaud people could you not making a profit and you have a mortgage and you have a home and you got you totally payments of property taxes at all you still have bills so it can't function that when you're telling even small business people ten twelve fifteen th place restaurant we'll give you a loan but only alone if you continue to employ those people what is that stimulate I don't even understand you're turning them into small unemployment operations so and I'm not attacking the administration or anything of the sort hi absolutely not I do not wish to sabotage I'm trying to provide additional advice additional information macro and micro anecdotal examples carry them through in your own mind you understand what I mean you look at these absolutely incredible numbers of trillions and trillions and trillions we talk about him like millions of none of these are trillions we used to talk about billions this we never talk about choices what what's the number after trying to sell him I don't even know but this is third world stuff this is what they do in the third world with the socialists when they find out they're running out of things to redistribute what are they did they print more money they just keep printing money and given it away to quite the populace they pay more money and we're gonna spectacular growth no you're not you may.

"To provide you with the best leadership that I can provide this guy seems awesome. Wow. Good for him. But but there you go so use the conference, right. Gregory Tony waiting in the wings. The Santa's plane is late. Israel's hanging around ready to do his press conference. He was where is that? He was at his church. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh happen to church. Yeah. I want to hear what he said. I was surprised to Santa's actually brought up the shooting at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood initial airport. Forget about that one. Remember, how that was really just a cluster if you know what the word is. And I was like oh my God. I completely forgot about that. And I brought it up. And I think that was the first time we had the sheriff on as a guest. I think it was right after that shooting when that report came out remember they found out it was the at one of their own. That game riot videotape. That showed what a disaster Riley was so overall, it seems like the the governor a, you know, kind of lumped all into one to show examples of incompetence across the board. Oh, and then Fred Gutenberg got up the move the fathers of the victims at stoneman. Douglas daughter was killed on the third floor. And what did he say she'd had one second more one second more? She would have made it to a room or the stairwell or so I know it's like oh this poor man. So if the actress he had anybody go in and defend the kids, at least his daughter would have been alive. Here's way today to thank governor Disentis for changing the leadership of the Broward sheriff's office. He realizes that public safety is the most important thing. Huge. Did you hear the crowd? There was a big crowd. Couldn't really hear the applause in it. But. Just for at least two we talked to Stuart Kaplan, Scott. Israel's attorney on Friday morning before all of this happened and Bill you asked him and you're going to sue when he said we're going to we're going to fight in. He had a press conference right after the governor had his like, wow, you're pretty defiant, and didn't you know, what I wanted to ask to with Stuart? And we didn't they were a couple of things. One did Disentis pick a member of the Coral Springs. Police department out of spite. I don't know though there first before he looked anywhere else purely because Coral Springs cops with the only ones ran into the building out stoneman Douglas, and he was retired. I think mainly probably because of his background. I mean, he's got active shooter as the tactical training company and everything. He's got a lot of experience. Who knows he he he looks? He looks fearful it when I was looking at him. I su-, you know, what if I were a bad person, and he showed up at the crime scene. I'd be shaken. Yup. Like, okay, he's dating. But we shall see what he says he's gonna what run Scott Israel again. Immediately. That just blows me away. We'll tell you what just blow the chance of winning to. Isn't that scary? Well, hey, it is what it is. That's scary. To me, though, governor just laid out everything that this guy did wrong, and you're going to reelect them. All right. We got day twenty four and the government shutdown vote to end that today. So it's at least going to be twenty five it'll probably go into the thirties. Who knows but we get a snowstorm. So they can't work during the snowstorm. No, no. Well, the only good thing about it is maybe the snow will hide all the trash. They keep on showing up at the national parks and keep on showing that one shot of the reflecting pool. And then people on the side, and then trash flowing out of like, the one trash can I'm like, okay. We've seen the shot a Thaksin sometimes stopped showing is this storm going to delay on the democratic house members who can't get back from San Juan junket over the weekend. Probably partying on the beach and go to Hamilton and a good time. Dana hotel fifty at night for a room. They really care right now, therefore a pack meeting Bill there to support the Puerto Rican government in its rebuild from hurricane Maria. Yeah. Sure. They are. Yeah. I don't think. So I don't think. So. All right. What was your good news? What did you have? This is pretty call in Washington. "And so we're very excited, and we think that this victory can serve as a bright spot. For this country could serve the launching pad for how we conduct business and how we can move. This is along the lines of humanity and transcend above the partisan politics, transcend the above the racial anxieties. So that's Desmond made who is really the nature force the engine behind this. This amendment this referendum that they voted on. That would set an example for states around the country. Interestingly the deadline tomorrow people cannot deadline exactly because people can start to register which means they can register for twenty twenty. And we're talking about over a million people that begins tomorrow the day that the manage trying to stop this from happening. The new governor Ron Disentis will be sworn in. What's really important to note that Florida had the worst felon disenfranchisement law the country one ten flirty, including one in five African Americans and Florida couldn't vote under this law, which is absolutely astonishing voters across the ideological spectrum repealed this in the last election every single congressional district in Florida voted to repeal the state's fell disenfranchise law. This was not a democratic verse Republican issue. This was voters across the spectrum many of them conservative law. In order Republicans who said if you've paid your debt society, you should have a second chance. And so I hope this doesn't become Republican versus democrat left versus right. Like, so often happens society, this is about giving people who've pay their debt to society their rights to vote back, and I would hope that every politician in Florida would encourage people to register to vote because you know, what you're gonna see a lot of white Republicans Amy show up tomorrow and want to register to vote just like you're going to see black Democrats or Latino independence. This is across the political spectrum. We have had such a problem with mass incarceration in Florida. So many people have lost their voting rights and for the most important swing state in the country to potentially restore voting rights to over a million people that can have a transformative impact on our democracy, finally issues, you're looking at about ground voting rights that you think are the most important leading into the twenty twenty election. I think it's really important to note that we saw rampant voter suppression. The last election, we saw thousands of people turned away from the polls in places like Georgia and Florida and north. Kota we haven't dealt with that yet. We haven't investigated that yet. And that's why this Bill that we were talking about earlier HR one is so important because we have to say as Sidey voter suppression is wrong foot. Suppression is a legal footer suppression is immoral and we have to commit to everyone having a chance to vote in twenty twenty that didn't happen in two thousand eighteen they were way too many stories of people that couldn't vote for one reason or another and I'm concerned unless we deal with this both in terms of bring attention to it, but also passing laws to make it easier to vote that history's going to repeat itself and twenty twenty and we're gonna see far too many barriers to the ballot box erected in advance of the next presidential Berman senior writer mother Jones reporting fellow at the nation's author guests the ballot the modern struggle for voting rights in America when we come back. "Ruling allowing the state to go back and review about four thousand of these ballots to see whether or not they should be recounted. But Democrats had hoped for a broader ruling potentially something that would strike down the existing state law or even require the state to look at you know, all of these votes that did not happen. So we'll have to see where it goes from here. And as soon as a ruling came out Republican governor Rick Scott running for the Senate seat in Florida appealed the ruling that's now going the eleventh. Circuit court of appeals. We'll see where it goes from there. So now, I want you to focus just a moment on the governor's race Republican. Rhonda Santa's democrat Andrew gillum recount there as well. Where does that one stand? Yeah. So on the governor side Santa's is still leading Gillam by about thirty four thousand votes, which is a point four one margin. So he didn't Gillam wasn't able to close the gap enough to trigger a hand recount. We saw Disentis just a little while ago. Saying that the results were clear still waiting to hear from Gilan. But it appears that that race is where it is. And the Disentis will be certified as the winner perhaps as early as next week. And we know you've been spending time there around the Broward County election supervisor's office. Tell us what's going on there. There have been protests outside. What is what is the scene there? So inside you have a couple of dozen election workers who in the last several days having working around the clock to do this machine. Recount feed the ballots into the machines and let that process play out meanwhile outside there have been Republican protests democratic protests around this process. A lot of Republicans Judy that I spoke to set a lot of voters said that they don't trust these results they feel that there was suspicious activity. They said that the their view of the election is shaped by President Donald Trump who has focused on Florida and disparage the recount process called for it to be over before. All the votes were received on the other side. You have Democrats saying that they don't believe these allegations of fraud that they want all of the votes to be counted? And that the rules on the books as they stand. Now make it harder for people to vote. So you have to wildly different views of this election, and whether or not the result should be trusted. Well, political. Overlay, always when these recounts happen, and and but but a spotlight right there as they as they count these votes, Dan Bush reporting for us from Florida. Thank you. Thank you..

"Here on the please radio network with this morning. Triple eight nine hundred thirty three ninety three. Pat unleashed on Twitter. I was going through my sock drawer yesterday. And all that sounds like a good time. Yeah. That well. I found a ballot box with three hundred and eighty thousand five hundred twelve Florida ballots in it. So, you know, I counted them last night. Yeah. During commercials on Monday night football. Okay. And it turns out that of the three hundred eighty thousand five hundred twelve three hundred eighty thousand five hundred and four of them voted for Disentis and Rick Scott. Wow. Yeah. Wow. Is that weird or what I mean there were by that were? Eight full ballots at voted for somebody else zoom Gillam. I don't know. What's more unusual? The fact that they were, you know, lockstep with with with the Santa's dot or the fact that they were in my soccer. I don't know how they got there. I have no idea. No idea. Sitting there really strange sitting there just sitting there really really weird. That's a big sector. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, I've got big socks. So triple eight nine hundred thirty three Ninety-three always amazed at how many of these ballot box boxes or finding everywhere. Here's another one. Okay. You don't find that suspicious at all? That happens all the time. We find them in back alleys a lot or. Why wait a minute. What was the one like the teacher had this old ballot? It's at ballot boxes or so ballots, and she used it to keep her teaching supplies or something. I'm like, okay. All right, Florida. Stop stopping Florida, please for one election. Just please. I mean, this is as Florida as Florida gets. So I was just looking at the latest totals at least the latest. We know of this was from yesterday to Santa. She was a head forty nine forty nine point six to forty nine point two. I mean, it is still just razor thin. And of course, they they declared a winner in the Zona. Senate race and that turned out to be the democrat cinema. Scurr terrible decision. Just a terrible decision by Arizona. It's a minimum of six years of that. Crazy, radical representing Arizona. Unbelievable. She she hates you Zona. I mean, she has said multiple times how much she loathes you the voter in the state of Arizona. So congrats though on rewarding her with a six year term to the US Senate. Yeah, good luck with that. But unfortunately, that you know, the rest of us have to suffer with that too. When it's a. A national office. Essentially, Andrea Mitchell lied about the the election process. The the recount and who's involved in counting. These take a look at what MSNBC host drew Mitchell said about those who are responsible for counting the votes on the recount itself. Andrea, and we should also point out the Brenda Snipes in Broward County is a Republican appointed by former governor then governor Jeb Bush, so she was put in by Republican governor after the mess that we all remember from two two thousand and she's hardly a democratic official or someone doing the bidding of the democratic candidates there. Yeah. Actually, she is a democrat. And she probably is doing the bidding of the Democrats. They're she's she was she was appointed by Republican by Jeb Bush, but she is a democrat and votes that way. And so just don't worry about telling the truth over there on MSNBC. They always talk about how the president lies, but they never talk about their own. Democrats also are loading up right now getting ready for when they take over the house. They plan to probe every aspect of President Trump's life. His his work experience family business dealings to the space force. I don't know what they're going to investigate on that. We mean, you just made the announcement. I don't I don't even think there's space force in place, but they're already planning to investigate the decision. His tax returns the possible. Leverage Russia had so you can bet. I mean, these these investigations are never going to stop. One senior democrat sewers said with the new majority when they take power in January. They're preparing a subpoena cannon like an arena t-shirt Canada. They're just gonna start firing these things off. Based on what axios has found. Apparently, there's a list of eighty five potential Trump related investigations and subpoenas coming eighty-five. Adam Schiff said that he expects Trump to resist the committee's request demands..

"For all they use the word Medicare because they know many of you love Medicare. So they're using the word Medicare to destroy Medicare Medicare for all means a iron-fisted top-down healthcare program. That's what they're talking about government run. Government run. We don't need a government run health care program. Now, this guy Gillam. Is making racial slurs. Against his opponent. Rhonda santa's. Who served in combat? He's now saying that the Santa's wrote a book that supports slavery. So I went back, and I read what this guy Gillam talking about. And it's also up at hot air. If you want to check it our pundit. Not supporting slavery in the least. He's explaining what happened. Here's what he wrote. Here's what he wrote. He wrote, and I'm paraphrasing. That what happened? At the constitutional convention. Was that they couldn't push the issue of slavery as far as someone had to push it. Although someone had to push it all the way that is the abolition of it. Because you wouldn't have a United States under those circumstances. You wouldn't have brought in South Carolina, Georgia and some of these other states in this. There's no question. That's the history. What took place? That's the history of what took place. Benjamin Franklin was an abolitionist. Alexander. Hamilton was an abolitionist several of them were abolitionist, but they voted. The way they voted because they felt they needed to have a union, and then from there, they could address the rest that's exactly what took place, you know, who else took that position sixty years later. Well, seventy some years later, ABRAHAM LINCOLN, he explained it exactly. The same way that they had to leave it to their progeny their children and their grandchildren have fixed. This citrus slavery. But if there hadn't been a union, there wouldn't have been a civil war to eliminate it. That's what the scientists rights. Braun tencent purposes taking up the position that Lincoln took up taking up the position of Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton took on. So this guy Andrew gillum says that demonstrates that Disentis wrote a book defending slavery. Now this man is repulsive, and he's a demagogue. He's allied his way through this election about the undercover FBI investigation. Not only the city but him. Him. It was a setup when they gave him that ticket to Hamilton was a setup when they gave him a hotel room setup when he got a trip that Costa Rica, and he pretends that he wasn't under or is not under investigation. And if you dare to raise it, you're attacking all African Americans. That's how they shut you down. That's how he shut you down. But I want to tell you a little bit more about this man who the Democrats are hanging their hopes on Barack Obama's in Florida campaigning for Joe Biden's, and Florida Hillary Clinton how can they back a man like this? I would ask MS NBC and CNN. How can they back a man like this who has a history like this? Aaron Klein over at Breitbart. So good, man. The ties between the Israel boycott promoting an anti police dream defenders group. And the Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew gillum run deeper than previously reported. Guillem worked at the George Soros finance people for the American way, you remember that Norman Lear is group where he served as director of youth leadership programs from two thousand five until twenty seventeen and over. That's a long time and oversaw a radical training outfit calling itself. Young people four or why P four. Philip agnew. The co founder of dream defenders. Remember that name dream defenders is a two thousand five graduate of Gillingham's. Former Y P four group. Now, gallons why p four gave Agnew the Norman Lear award named after the producer and activists who founded people for the American way, you know, that group hardcore left wing trashes constitutionalists nominees to the court. Guillem has faced controversy over his refusal. To disavow dream defenders, which has engaged in active isn't to promote the boycott of Israel, espouses, anti patriotic anti-capitalism, anti military and anti police ideology with which Guillem has already been associated. The dream defenders website refers to the entire state of Israel as the site of a continued settler colonial project. See this is. All about anti semitism. Laments US military aid to the Jewish state. A large section of the site. Promotes the group's anti Israel, activism. Now, why isn't this being reported on CNN and MSNBC? Instead, they're promoting him. Gillen's dream defenders allies compiled an education toll for US teachers about quote, liberation movements. And they glorifies the Popular Front for the liberation of Palestine PFLP a deadly terrorist organization. Well, I guess he has a lot in common with Obama. Republican challenger. Rhonda Santa's has repeatedly called for going the distance itself. From the dream defenders. And during a debate nine days ago Gillam claimed that he had no idea what the scientists was referring to when he brought up a dream defenders pledge Gillam reportedly signed that supports a radical manifesto. The fact is Andrew signed a pledge with a dream defenders pledging his support. This radical manifesto Disentis said during the debate. I have no idea. What pledge he's talking about Gillam reply. So there's a liar. And that's a pattern whether it's tickets to Hamilton a hotel room. Costa Rica is a pattern a bald face line because he thinks his supporters and his would be voters are so stupid. "Stores there there as well. Our police if I don't mention it. Nobody else will my dad's not here to mention it. It's not on FOX. It's not on its here. I mentioned it. So I wanted to mention it to you now. I want to swing back into Florida. This Florida race is particularly important as far as I'm concerned because it's a luster tip of what the democrat party is up to. Andrew gillum. His repulsive to me. As he has dipped his toe repeatedly into anti-semitism and antisemitic actions, and yet he's tried to turn this campaign into a campaign of race to try and turn out the minority base in Florida. It may well be working. He's a radical leftist. He wants to destroy Medicare. He wants to destroy all your private healthcare systems. All you unions out there who've negotiated for your healthcare. All this stuff goes away. If you have quote unquote, Medicare for all they use the word Medicare because they know many of you love Medicare. If you want to check it all. He's not supporting slavery in the least. He's explaining what happened. Here's what he wrote. Here's what he wrote. He wrote, and I'm paraphrasing. That what happened? At the constitutional convention. Was that they couldn't push the issue of slavery as far as someone had to push it. Although some wanted to push it all the way that is the abolition of it. Because you wouldn't have a United States under those circumstances. You wouldn't abroad in South Carolina, Georgia and some of these other states in this. There's no question that's the history of what took place. That's the history of what took place. Benjamin Franklin was an abolitionist. Alexander. Hamilton was an abolitionist several of them were abolitionists, but they voted. The way they voted because they felt they needed to have a union, and then from there, they could address the rest that's exactly what took place, you know, who else took that position sixty years later. Well, seventy some years later ABRAHAM LINCOLN, he explained it exactly the same way that they had to leave it to their progeny their children, and their grandchildren that fixed this issue of slavery. But if there had been a union, there wouldn't have been a civil war to eliminate it. That's what the scientists rights for all intents and purposes taking up the position that Lincoln took up taking up the position of Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton took up. So this guy Andrew gillum says that demonstrates that Disentis wrote a book defending slavery. Now this man is repulsive, and he's a demagogue. He's lied his way through this election about the undercover FBI investigation. Not only the city but him. Him. It was a setup when they gave him that ticket to Hamilton was a setup when they gave him a hotel room setup when he got a trip that Costa Rica, and he pretends that he wasn't under is not under investigation. And if you dare to raise it, you're attacking all African Americans. That's how he shut you down. That's how he shut you down. But I want to tell you a little bit more about this man who the Democrats are hanging their hopes on Barack Obama's in Florida campaigning forum, Joe Biden's, and Florida Hillary Clinton how can they back a man like this? I would ask immense NBC and CNN. How can they back a man like this who has a history like this? Aaron Klein over Breitbart. So good, man. The ties between the Israel boycott promoting an anti police dream defenders group. And the Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew gillum run deeper than previously reported. Guillem work at the George Soros finance people for the American way, you remember that Norman Lear is group where he served as director of youth leadership programs from two thousand five and tell twenty seventeen and over that's a long time and oversaw a radical training outfit calling itself. Young people four or why P four. Phillipsburg new the co founder of dream defenders. Remember that name dream defenders is a two thousand five graduate of Guillem. Former Y P four group. Now, gallons why P four gave Agnew the Norman Lear award named after the producer and activists who founded people for the American way, you know, that group hardcore left wing trashes constitutionalist nominees to the court. Guillem his face controversy over his refusal to disavow dream defenders, which has engaged in active isn't to promote the boycott of Israel, espouses, anti patriotic anti-capitalism anti-military and anti police ideology with which Guillem has already been associated. The dream defenders website refers to the entire state of Israel as quote the site of a continued settler colonial project. See this. All about anti-semitism and laments US military aid to the Jewish state. A large section of the site. Promotes the group's anti Israel, activism. Now, why isn't this being reported on CNN and MSNBC? Instead, they're promoting him. Guillem stream defenders allies compiled an education tool for US teaches about quote, liberation movements. And that glorifies the Popular Front for the liberation of Palestine PFLP a deadly terrorist organization. Well, I guess he has a lot in common with Obama. Republican challenger. Rhonda Santa's has repeatedly called for him to distance himself from the dream defenders. And during a debate nine days ago Gillam claimed that he had no idea what the scientists was referring to when he brought up a dream defenders pledge Gillam reportedly signed that supports a radical manifesto. The fact is Andrew signed a pledge with the dream defenders pledging his support. This radical manifesto Disentis said during the debate. I have no idea. What pledge he's talking about Gillam replied. So there's a liar. And that's a pattern whether it's tickets to Hamilton a hotel room. Costa Rica is a pattern a bald face line because he thinks his supporters and his would be voters are so stupid. They're gonna buys race baiting his Jew baiting. They're going to buy his lying. Gillen's claim of ignorance. About the pledge came despite his already known close relationship with dream defenders. Guillemette talked about aiding the group's activism and has written in strong support of dream defenders. And it's co-founder this fellow Agnew. To whom he was a mentor intern Agnew himself recently described a long and close working a personal relationship. But Gillam and said he considers go on to be part of the movement, quote, unquote. Guillem was taped at a June debate saying that he is pleased and proud to have sneak food to dream defender activists during a thirty day sleep in protest at the Florida state capitol, and I can go on and on with this guy. But notice I have to try and expose them with the help. Of Aaron Klein, not Don lemon, not Jake tapper. Not cammarata. None of them. Can you imagine Florida electing this guy is the governor? I'll be right back..

"Has to be better for me. The better option does not exist out there. Not even close. Todd and Don show Jay from on the air to on the go. The Totten Don podcast men of Justice an organization that would at least have fidelity to the law. What were you honor a request from Donald Trump's ice agency? If they provided the -tainer requests will you honor? It has governor. You work with Donald Trump. I see with your time. They won't answer the Jake. That's important. Because that's what happens when somebody. I've been a prosecutor I've worked with law enforcement when they're in the system, they're convicted maybe they serve ten years. But it comes time to come out. There's a detainers requests from ice you either turn them over to ice or release them into the community. That's the only two options. Andrew will not answer. The question me he would be willing to release them to answer. He won't answer the question that was gillum and Disentis Disentis was the one who is pushing on that issue. Both candidates for. For the governor of Florida and trying to trying to get that last pushier as we get very close and people are going to look at Florida. They're going to say, there's a bellwether state. This tells you a lot about the direction of the country for the midterm election. They're going to say that this is really. Japan's if the Democrats win it if Gillam wins who is the mayor of Tallahassee another person who I don't think they're going to run him in twenty twenty but they see him in a young charismatic Obama, ask mold. So a lot of Democrats very excited about about gillum. And basically socialist I mean, he's pretty pretty open about he wants single payer and he wants to raise taxes, although he won't say that you'll ask them. How do you pay us a bunch of things, and you know, we'll find some ways, but the scientists was pushing him here on the issue of ice to Tena requests. And notice how dealing would not answer. Because what this really is is a question about sanctuary city policy sanctuary cities, do not now there's some variations here depending on which jurisdiction of the sanctuary cities. As a as a general rule. Do not adhere to or do not honor is detained requests. What that means is when someone is already. In custody of law enforcement, and immigrations and customs enforcement is informed that that person is in custody. They Sunday detained request. If they want that person to be turned over to them for the purposes of deportation. They refuse sanctuary city jurisdictions refused to do that. And what the scientists knows. And he'd been a prosecutor is that means that there are people who are a danger to the community who are convicted criminals people who have served sentences, including sometimes violent crimes and local jurisdictions because of the politics around illegals, and because of the pandering to generally the Latino community by Democrats jurisdictions will not honor these detainee requests, which means that people who are criminals and illegal aliens get released back out into the general population and can become repeat offenders. And this is really a question of do you believe that law enforcement should work together? I cannot think of another issue where if the FBI requested, for example, the FBI requested help from a sharer for local law enforcement. They wouldn't just not get help. They would be stonewall. We refuse to help you as a matter of policy. And people realize that there's a lot of crossover. There's a lot of ways, unfortunately, but it is true that even local crimes can get tangled up in the federal web. And so there and just the FBI is viewed as a legitimate law enforcement body by most folks. And so there's a lot of cooperation between those reading here. Here's a for example, I worked in the intelligence division. I was sitting sitted with cheated with pardon me. Suited with FBI agents DEA agents, people from all these different federal, immigration and customs enforcement, all these different agencies. We're all sitting together because stuff that will come on my radar would also be on their radar and we worked together as a fusion center. That's what I was doing. That's my of course, also on the federal counter-terrorism side in particular. But we understand that there's a lot of crossover law enforcement will somebody who is a drug dealer who's also an illegal alien is causing problems for the law in multiple ways and one law enforcement agency should support the other law enforcement agencies legitimate law enforcement functions. What Gillam is telling you without telling you is that he prefers lawlessness because it is politically advantageous. And he won't say it, but desanctis was right to push him on this one. And this then goes to a a refrain that you've heard a lot from eleven I really hope becomes a huge problem for them in the in the midterms which is remember when abolish is abolish is. That was a thing that they were chanting all summer. Not reform ice not change the law or change the policy at the border. So that we can have a more efficient way transfer people. So that they are with their children or their at least close to their children. And know, they'll be reunited, you know. It wasn't have a serious adult conversation about this. It was abolish is it was street protests, activism slogans in place of a serious adult policy discussion. Well, that was a reflection of where the democrat party is on this issue, which is a kind of childishness around it. They are they're unserious. They are fundamentally unserious about dealing with immigration and enforcement of immigration laws. And they also will say things that are just bizarre like oh, put ice under DOJ. Okay. So put a massive federal bureaucracy. That's indeed. Chess put it in another massive federal bureaucracy, the whole point here is that the point they're making is that ice will not in fact. Adhere to the law. But the FBI will after what we see with the Russia stuff. Does anyone really believe that? If you think you think putting me FBI in charge of them are putting the DOJ charge of them is really going to make things better. These these are these are just different executive branch agencies. There's there's no reason to think that that bureaucratic shuffling, we'll make anything better. But but Elizabeth Warren goes even further here, Elizabeth Warren who still thinks as delusional. She is as crazy as she is. She still thinks she's got a real political future. The national stage. You know, just as an aside here. I think I've heard some people say that maybe her plan was to do such a. Pull pulls such a dumb move that we will become numb to the stupidity of it later on. And then it can't be used against her because she's already just fallen so flat interface with I've I don't know if that's really possible. But that I've heard people saying that. But here's what she says. Which is also a fall flat interface stupid point. Here's what she says about immigrations and customs enforcement. This was just this week play six. See this agency reformed because an agency that can't tell the difference in the risk between a seven year old girl, the twin of women going in for brain cancer surgery and a terrorist or criminal is an agency that is not working. It is not making this safer and sure doesn't reflect our values. I don't know what they're actually think she's talking about here about a terrorist versus somebody brain surgery, who who what straw, man argument. Did she come up with your exactly this makes no sense? This is just bizarro land. Stop. I mean, there's nothing about this that I can point doing so. Yeah. Yeah. I know where she's gone with that. I know what she was trying for it's just like she's on another planet. But remember that because we do have a porous border, and because we do have an inability to control the population flow into this country in a meaningful way. He also have over seventy thousand people you're dying from drug overdoses and the drugs are coming in from Mexico. Folks. The drugs are coming primarily from Mexico. The lethal ones are coming in across our southern border in huge numbers. And they're killing tens of thousands of Americans. This is the most urgent security threat that we face. This is the most urgent public health crisis that we face, and it is because of our southern border you'd think that would mean it gets higher up on the attention list. But apparently, not early not remember, the immigration and customs enforcement agency just recently seized sentinel. That was enough in terms of dosage to kill five million Americans producer Mike sent me that so that's a lot. You would think that that would get them a little bit more credibility from a left with their actually keeping. They are keeping us safe. They are doing a lot for us. But this is just a power play for them. They'll say, whatever they have to say as long as they have to in order to get restored into a majority in the house, and to then bring about amnesty that will essentially eradicate the Republican party. That's the goal that they are going for. The seventh annual full flooring yard sales going on now with incredible deals at lumber liquidators. We've got hundreds of floors on sale up to.

"So there's a reason that they'll be able to do the single single payer. I think. They're gonna charge all of us on Medicare, and then the rest of them that don't have to pay anything for their medical will will be paying for them. That's the beauty of it per sure. Thanks Judy. There's just no way to make this good. There's just no way to make the numbers work. There's no way that these states or the United States in general can afford it again when this when this program costs three point three trillion a year that should end the discussion right there. Okay, that topic is settled. I mean, certainly if climate changes settled this one is even this is like double settle. This is mega Doppler settled schist, but you can't get them to understand that. No. And the previous caller point about other states getting ruined Colorado is well on their way to becoming little California because a lot of people for the last several decades have been moving from California into Colorado, and the politics are beginning to reflect that, and it might be what's happening in in Texas with his Blue Wave. We keep hearing about leave Texas to its own devices. We're going to stay a red state, but now you've got the influx of Californians because again, it's a failed state and people are leaving it and they can't. You can't afford to live there. So people come here to Texas and we should have built wall. On our western border. That it kept the Californians with their progressive ideas out, isn't it amazing thing that you're leaving the failed state? Because well, it's a failed state. Yeah, let's think this through and you go to a state that has freedom and prosperity. And the first thing you want to do is change it to reflect the failed state. How does that make sense? In these people's minds, eye man, triple eight, nine hundred thirty three ninety three and Pat unleashed on Twitter. And then of course we're dealing with racism and racist dog whistles. And actually the dog whistle in this particular case has gone to a Bullhorn according to Andrew gillum from Florida. He's the candidate who is black running for for Florida's governor against run Disentis, who is the big. Trump blessed candidate. So during an interview, do we have what he said ready is we have is yes, here's what descent is said. You tell me how racist and how awful this particular comment is. He is an articulate spokesman for those far left us and he's a charismatic candidate, and I watched those democrat debates. None of that was my Cup of tea, but I mean he performed better than the other people there, so so we've got to work hard to make sure that we continue Florida going in a good direction. Let's build on the success we've had on governor Scott. The last thing we need to do to monkey this by trying to embrace socialist agenda with huge tax increases and bankrupting the state that is not gonna work. That's not going to be good for Florida. Wait a minute. He just called the black candidate for governor in Florida, a monkey way. What we play the same clear. That's what this is being made out to be. I can't take it. I cannot take this after he. He said this, you know, he's an articulate spokesman for those far left us and he's a care charismatic candidate. Okay. Nothing but good things. Then he says, the last thing we need to do is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda. Okay. So the subject of his comment about monkeying something up is the agenda, not the person, good, gosh. So he's obviously talking about, we can't afford another socialist and his ideas and his agenda in Florida because that's going to screw everything up. We can't speak to each other. We can't. I mean, it's just so ludicrous. You've got to be a moron to make racism out of that. You have to be an absolute moron. So I guess in addition to the n. word. The word monkey has to be removed from the English language. It's got to be the more now when you go to zoo and your with your kids, you say, look at those kids, look at the words. That's what we're going to have to do. It's gonna have to be just eliminated from society. I think you're a racist if you if you make that to be a racist statement hitting that just shows so much about you not not Rhonda Santa's Rhonda Santa's showed what an idiot..

"He served in the military as a very well-spoken articulate fellow, but he has. He has identified himself with Trump during this primary campaign did so got the the full throated endorsement of the president to defeat Adam Putnam who is a former member of congress and now has been has been a secretary in Florida and kind of protege of former governor Jeb Bush but had been critical of Trump. And so Trump went with Disentis. And that seems to be making a big that that obviously was a huge factor here Bill. Yeah, it was tremendous factor. I also think that in addition to being pro Donald Trump, there were two other factors. He was on FOX and awful lot. Now he was way his victory was was kind of an incredible victory because I think two months ago he was down fifteen points. He won fifty six percent Bill thirty seven, right? So he was he's on FOX a lot. I'd say unlike a lot of, I mean, this may be Siobhan fair, but a lot of other Trump supporters. His tone is more calming. And as you say, he's a Harvard law graduate. He's not yelling. He seems very reasonable on TV. He also showed a sense of humor in his in his ads. He has a build the wall thing, but with this cat and so forth, I'm not sure. I mean, what this shows that's obviously a going to be in part of referendum on Donald Trump, but it also shows on the democratic side where the enthusiasm is, you know, with bird. You know, we, we get these talks about Connor lamb and the new modern face, but that's not where the enthusiasm is. So it'll be an interesting showdown. Well, I was I was looking at the results, Kim and fascinating in Florida. You know, if you're the mayor of Tallahassee that's up north and Graham has nonetheless didn't do nearly as well as she thought in Broward or or Miami Dade counties which are in the south. And I think that is was a tactical mistake and the part on her part because she didn't run spent a lot of money down there for one for that was one mistake. But the bill's point about the enthusiasm I think is is is the right one. And you have to say, I guess that the Santa's is probably the favourite right now because Florida has there'll be a huge anti-trump campaign. On the part of the Democrats. I think the another Gillam is fit for impeachment if I'm not mistaken, even though he wouldn't get the vote on it in Florida as governor. But the Florida's wanted Trump's better states, his approval rating has held up there better than it has in some others..
