"Yes. Yes. So when you said this in the game day in the college game day meeting, were they like, okay, we like it. Of course they did. You went outside the box. They must have loved that in your meeting. Absolutely. Come on. Okay. All right, yeah. We're gonna check your work. We will check your work as the season goes along. All right, tell me, I know your time is limited about the townhouse game day, dipper's campaign. What is this? So check this out. So townhouse gave day dippers. They're these crackers that, you know, you still got the same classic townhouse taste and texture. I mean, they're delicious, but they're shaped like footballs. And because football sees us here now. That just says football like tailgating. So these are the perfect crackers to use to either elevate a spice up your spreads, your tailgate spreads, and it makes every tailgate feel like a touchdown. Now, the reason I hooked up with them because it combines my passion for football, which I love, my favorite snack. This is like my go to snack. And I have four recipes too. Okay. More recipes, yeah. One is the homemade half town hummus. I've happened to love hummus. And another one is the first down jalapeno cheese dip, and there's three dipping techniques you can use too. But it's just like a match made in heaven. Now you gotta go out and get them now though because the limited supply and then just started in August, go get them down and then look at the back of the box for a specially marked packages where you can enter a chance to win the ultimate fan cave makeover too. I almost got fan caves and every time they need a makeover, my man. Kellogg's family rewards dot com for your recipes. What do you mean different dipping styles? What are you talking about? I got three different, I got three different dipping techniques one of the dip and twist. Yes. One is a dive play in the third one is a daring double tip. So you gotta check it out to Kellogg's family rewards. No double dips, all right? Okay. Say it with your chest too, right?

"Also I had worked prior in the civilian and I joined the post office at 25 And when I got out at 55 I worked in this civilian job where I was paying into social security And being considered a double dipper whatever I'm eligible I lose 45% of whatever I was eligible Even though I paid into it Right Yeah it's a bizarre law that I think social security when it started out didn't cover everybody like it does now And they expanded it multiple times And particularly in the 40s and 50s And some of those expansions of social security you had the people who hate social security most of the Republicans saying But wait a minute you know you're going to be getting extra bonuses to people who also have pensions that have been funded by federal dollars like federal workers So you got to take it away from them And so those really compromises that were necessary in order to keep social security funded And so that's what's going on So Ken I got to run but I'm with you I don't think that you should be punished for that You know if somebody has a private sector pension it doesn't reduce their social security And I think the cap needs to be eliminated We'll be back You're listening to the Tom Hartman program called two O two 8 O 8 99 25 We'll be right back with your calls on anything goes Friday right after this Children.

"One 50, 1100. Somewhere in there. 50 billion. Infinity infinite. He's that infinite pay per view matches. Eric and I are negotiating. I'm like one 50, 1100. One 51. 10.99. We're gonna be all night folks. Two and 99%. What? What? Oh man. All right, that was a train. I thought you were gonna say that was a treat, but. Well, it became a treat. Yeah. Sometimes out of this shit. It comes a diamond. Sometimes you find that piece of corn on top of this shit sundae. And I'm spent. All right, fade questions. Bobby, the Mark soy dam is Vince going to be like the boss from Ted with the dude that attacks Seth. That took guts. We need guts. Maybe. Yeah. He might be getting a contract as we speak. Right. Yeah. Mark Carver, what's wrong with wrestling, 2021, award winner for the year. Becky at Survivor Series, bottom left a couple times. Yeah, that could be best dressed for the year. For sure. Ryan gooch, Patreon bracket idea, what's wrong with wrestling best of have the listeners submit their favorite bits from the show? Real Saudi Arabian, who are you, pizza, Eric sing Triple H's theme, could be fun. We've had this brought up before. I just feel it would be weird for us to vote on our own things. Right. Like for a bracket. I mean, maybe we could do some sort of fan vote where they were like the fans just vote for everything. I mean, we do that. We did that last year with the end of the year awards. Yeah. Maybe we could do something like that. Chris dipper and random question totally unrelated to raw. Have you ever wanted to tap that ass so bad, you jump a guardrail and attack her baby daddy? A couple times, yeah. I mean, I'm just close. Close. Ryan Hensley should Vince keep the egg in his lockbox that way no one will ever find it. Oh yeah. You really should. That's one of the biggest mysteries of WWE history solved. I have the key to the lock box. Okay. And it's gone. I guess we'll never see the Nazi memorabilia that Vince has. Joey poof, what's tougher to watch, Ross centering around a goddamn egg or the New York Jets contraband quarterback controversies? There's no controversy. They all suck. Han's the moment hard would be interesting to start predicting what you think the grade of pay per view will be ahead of time. IE day one was a D minus, but we predicted it to be an F so good job WWE sucks slightly less. I think we would all predict fs and D minuses. Yeah, I think so. We're always expecting shit. So when it's good, even when it's a C we're like, who's the same? I'm gonna say C minus right now for day one. No way. D plus. It would make more sense. That's crazy. The Royal Rumble 'cause we have expectations. Yeah. So like saying, I think the Royal Rumble is gonna be a C and then see how it actually comes out. The Royal Rumble is so hard for it to be lower than a C the best match of the year there's always a surprise. Remember when Sheamus won? Yeah, sure. But the winners lately have been good. So they're doing Seth. They are maybe they are? Sure, maybe they're due for a couple bad ones. I just mean it's hard for them to fuck that up. So I'd say like a bee. It's hard for them to fuck up a lot of this stuff, but they find a way. How about finds a way? How about two nights of mania, FF? We're giving a fuck. All right, let's see what happened. Jake baker pushed for a very thrown together tag teams forgotten feuds in the name of bran supremacy that God damn egg. That got fired that guy. Why are the egg? Brand supremacy is buried and pushed random tags. Yeah, sure. I guess. I'm here, so I watched this Sean Doc on the cock about the second half of his career. Being young on Doc on the cock, being young, I haven't watched most much of the first half of his career, so which one y'all think is the better part of his career? I think it's the second half. Yeah. You know, I mean, he was carrying WWE when he was champ for the first time in his Iron Man match with Brett was legendary, but man, the stuff he did, the matches to undertaker. You have to say the second. He came a better wrestler. Yeah. He had he had great stories. He didn't really have the great stories when he was when his first run. Mario Rizzo worst raw ever, and that says a lot, I can't even come up with a question for you guys. Fucking awful. I don't blame you. It was bad. Roll up connoisseur, bracket idea, most what the fuck did I just watch moment? Good or bad examples include Katie Vick, Mae young, birthing a hand, Stephanie and Triple H's wedding, Rollins, popping rays eye out. First fire firefly funhouse, that security lady trying to tackle Gronk at WrestleMania. If you can get a list of 32, I mean, we would consider doing it as a bracket. But then the worst moment in wrestling history. No. I mean, it would be the hand. The hand has got to be like number one, right? It's gotta be the number one seed. You think so. Yeah. For weirdest. Worse would have happened. If it's just worse moment, yeah, like Goldberg beating Kevin Owens. Well, he said, what the fuck moment? Right. If it was worse moment, the finals would be Goldberg beating Kevin Owens, going up against Goldberg being beating The Fiend. Yeah, right. Yeah. D Barry, who can gender and shanky rap battle next to their last rap was so hard Vince had to cut hit row, yep. Oh, man. Jason dear I'm with how careful WWE is from with protecting wrestlers from injury. Are you surprised they haven't banned biggie from diving through the ropes? The one that Survivor Series was his scariest one yet. I wouldn't say it's scary. There's been a few times where he's literally landed on his fucking head. Yeah. Like the top of his head. Right. You can't ban, you can't ban all the moves because that's the reason we watch it. Right. That's the part that we love, right? So you can't start banning everything. If you get ready to get hurt, there's stunt, the professional stunt, if he dies, he dies. If he dies. Kyle Fox and push fire Barry turn in the egg for a title shot. Keep the egg hitting to drive Vince crazy. Selve the egg for a hundred fucking $1 million. We'll push that. No, you get the title shot. Come on. Yeah. What do you want to be a wrestler? Something money can't fucking millionaire. Sell the egg for a $100 million then give Vince a $1 million for title shot. Yeah. There you go. I shanky. How does Rollins build on this fan attack moving forward? Oh. Yeah, I think that was I think if he comes out looking left to right every time now that would be great for a few times. Pop culture junkie, anyone catch when Sony DeVille said she interviewed every single WWE superstar from top to bottom. Exactly how many tops and bottoms did she interrogate and what method did she use? Yikes. Wow. Tell me more. No. For a try baggers. You have no idea what that's going to do. This is cathartic for you for me. It was a hundred percent for me. And i was like i just wanted to for me. That's like jumping in. I knew i needed to do that. Like i still wasn't ready to go on public like officially started to but After that video it forced me to be comfortable more quickly. And i was like man. I wish to have this sooner but it showed me so many people hundreds and hundreds of messages of people saying i've been hiding disability for this long. I've been hiding this for this long. Schering their struggles because struggle is a universal language. I've spoken in uganda. in africa. We knew was translated in two different dialects. But i was still able to deliver a message of overcoming adversity which is a universal concept. So that video wasn't just for people with disabilities wasn't just for people with type. One diabetes used for people who wear a mask or for me was a glove people who are not themselves who fight to be authentic and struggle with validation. Our struggle with body image issues. The differences people wearing masks is like a metaphorical thing usually wore a glove. That's physically it was very physical representation. Yeah and i mean a lot of us don't do it with physical representations whether it's like we feel we need to wear makeup to go out or we need. Maybe a hat. Maybe we need a certain pair of glasses. Maybe we need to drive. A certain car have certain financial. There's a lot of masks or gloves that people do wear in different ways and once you start recognizing the right. No that's who i am. It's not who you are what you do. And there's a difference and what so you wake up you've got. He said four million views for coming out of the woodwork to contact us. Yeah how did did soda. Can you remember what you were feeling that day when you're like holy with like. I don't know what you were expecting chris. I wasn't there was no expectations whatsoever. I was still numb at that point. You know like. I was just like this is what i need to do. And i blocked off in my head. What could happen. Because otherwise i would have convinced myself not to do it. When i saw these things like when washington post reached out and all these things. I was on the front page of reddit and youtube and i saw this stuff. It was the it wasn't the like serve the washington post which was cool. It was the messages from people that really reaffirmed. What i did was not only good for me..

Of a two year old myself If I was single, that's the first thing I would talk about it if he's your world, you say, Hey, f y, I gotta I gotta son and not not surprised him waiting for you at Chili's, bro, Because if that stupid and I'm not saying that you're not telling the truth or that you're a bad dad, my saying any of that clearly you've had some bad experiences, but but that being said, and I'll go back to this point. If the kid is the most important thing in your life, and you say that and somebody goes, I don't want to meet you. Well, then what? Why would you care? I mean, that's that person saved you some Time because because you're not going to change that priority that much. I know the right person won't care, but you just can't surprise them. The red flag when a man doesn't talk about his kid, right, Uh, lutely just you could have been on and here. I thought you were pissed about chilies. In which case, Josie, I thought I was going to have to get all over you. I thought this was going to be about you, but no, I I kind of see I very much see where you're coming from here. But look, Manny, I'm sorry. This isn't going to work out. I think maybe transparency will work for you in the long run. Even though it sounds like it hasn't in the in the short run. I mean, I guess. "There must have been six four and worked for the open. I've never seen someone wander into a fight and yoke someone up faster. He did like a double arm around. Lift the person off the ground and kind of walk away with them like nope. This is not happening. I was like him off like a child. It was it was psychotic. It was a event. And by the way laura's boyfriend was able to not only get the video up immediately but also tag worldstar. It happened that fast hashtag. Us open at worldstar art. Well i'm glad we. I'm glad we've discussed this because to me. My white suburban brain goes. I thought white people are supposed to run towards this. My gut is always run away. I hear nonsense. I'm i wanna look but at enough distance to make sure nothing terrible's happened. Of course i'm running away immediate natalie. I hear one little one little thing. I see birds fly out of a and natalie was so up close and she was like you'll fight wasn't even good yo. He couldn't even like she's like talking trash. She's breaking it down. Like larry merchant after the fight. That was all right. That would have been like. It wasn't even good if i was fifty years younger. I would've whipped your ass. How about this larry. Merchant is in his ninety s. Really we had we had ross greenburg on the case show the other day the former. Hbo sports head honcho. And he said he's still talks to larry merchant who's in his ninety s because yeah on greg's hissed greg history day also known to the rest of civilization as nine eleven. There's an hbo documentary coming out about nine eleven and baseball that greenberg produced anyways twenty minutes of russia. Us open fights and we make it to professional wrestling. Yeah something happens. Saturday night and it was a moment that we have talked about on this show for a long time. I don't i listen to it doesn't take a genius. I'm not gonna pat myself on the back for too long hair however a couple of months ago victory lap is warranted. I just said this is not the space for humility. I just said hey. Were on the verge if they signed cm punk and daniel bryan. What are we going to be talking about. This is going to be an absolute serious real war. There's no way to get around it. And and not only. Does that happen. But they swerve us on saturday night at the end of all out with adam cole. Coming out joining the elite and then being a them being run out of the ring by daniel bryan and luce bros it was. I'm sorry. Dipsy or a lucia source. We'll just source express he's the dinosaur dissension and here we are here. We are the the the feeling of the whole thing on social and everywhere. This was obviously hand down their biggest moment. There's no doubt about it and we just crazy to say because we said two weeks ago the craziest thing to say is hey. Cm punk is going to have his debut match at a pay per view. And that's going to be the third most talked about thing from that night fourth. You counting ruby soho. No because the so you had daniel bryan number one. I'll say adam cole probably one in one okay. So maybe in that regard pump could be the third because then right behind that is the tag matt and you have the tag like incredible tag match in the cage so pumped might not even make the podium. He may not make the podium. I don't think. I don't think seeing pump makes the podium. I think the tag match. And the brian and and and adam cole returns. That's the podium. And then you have calls music to like. Nobody's even talking about how. How insanely good. That new theme music is. I didn't even really notice his new theme. It's up on youtube. it's ridiculous it. He must have had that he must have had that in the stash they. It's a brand new theme music that they made for him because obviously he was on his way. Well unless or what if he had already been working on something and it had been shot down at an maybe he could have. He could have had friends. I've no idea that this is this. This new one is the one so dipper stein. You watched with a gaggle of wrestling nerds. What was the reaction. It was explosive in the room. And i gotta tell you it. Got the biggest reaction from me than anything has the last ten years of wrestling. i glad spot the atom. Let me let me just say lee. Make a bigger point. Make my my my point of the moment big point. When you've been thinking about yeah. Yeah after watching raw last night. In this morning i think what we are watching here may be. This is obvious are two completely different. Shut like we're watching. We're not even watching anything that symbols each other in any capacity in any context. The only thing that you can call these. Things is wrestling correct other than they are. One is a for the fans of wrestling. The die hard fans of wrestling and one is a global massive entertainment company that is interested in expanding and getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger brand partnerships children pg content disneyland. the other is a show for nerds and marks and people who have been watching wrestling their entire lives that are now in their in their in their thirties and forties and fifties. Who still watch it from childhood. You can't even compare the two shows you. i watch raw last night. Which i think was terrible episode. But they make no attempt at this point in telling actual narrative storylines. I i really if you have view shows and stuff on on on smackdown which is great and compelling and fun to watch but other than that at this moment. I cannot even tell you a story line on raw. Let's say that is being told to the audience in any capacity. It's one off two weeks. There's a feud and then it dropped. They're really just you you you turn to turn on the show. And they're just setting up matches for the end of the show or it's a rematch from the previous week. There is no narrative storytelling being told whatsoever on raw. This entire episode was just a a torn era. What's it called the a tag tornado. Carmel acting turmoil tag team turmoil with absolutely no story being told in any capacity right now the you have alexa. Bliss and relate denied match was a throwaway. You now just have alexa bliss like wanting to challenge charlotte for the title and the only thing the only bit of storytelling they're going to do is just alexa. Bliss pointing at the at the at the at the at the title. That's all they're going to give us now like you said last night last night they did nothing with no. They just had a fine match. Nyah jax gets out of the ring. Alexa bliss Appears on the screen. And says can you give me. I would love a robe for lily or something and then the lights go out and she appears in the ring and then charlotte was. What are you want. And she pointed the set points at the title and charlotte goes. Oh a title match. You got it. It's like this is it. This is all we're gonna get now is just like nonsense like without storytelling. I'm not saying that's a bad feud. I'm not saying i don't wanna see the two of them. Fight alexa bliss. I love charlotte. i love. i'm happy to see them. Have a big match extreme rules. It'd be awesome but and you can't expect storytelling for right now from the show's not if you're going to have a have a compelling story told to you you're you're watching the wrong show. Well it how about this. The thing that i really find to be super disturbing is the difference. Between raw and smackdown smackdown is still not in the same world as aws like they're still. That's still not an apples to apples. Comparison of wrestling show's brought but there is a semblance of storytelling. That happens on smackdown. You see it week to week and month to month with roman reigns story. You are now seeing it week to week. We week to week and month to month with the ray and dominic mysterious story. Little things actually evolving into storylines on raw. It is. there's nothing going on like and then last week you stumbled into the semblance of something the whole world. You guys were right. I mean i went and listened to so many other people analyze it. Nyah and charlotte was something everyone was talking about and had exciting thoughts about. And do we turn that into something. No let's just toss it out and go with alexa bliss and charlotte flare. I'd do not understand the chasm between raw and smackdown. We can talk about the big problems between eight. W and wwe and the fact that you are right dip and i think everyone agrees. We are watching to different businesses business models altogether. But i just months ago but you did you let me let just say. Let me just say you are going to. People are still wrestling. Fans will never. Here's what i'm going to say. Go ahead say your wrestling fans will never stop watching the wwe real wrestling fans okay. You me Us and everyone we know in our wrestling will never stop ultimately watching. Wwe there is it for the spectacle for will always be knowing what's going on..

"Anything else love it. Okay got it. So he was. He was interviewed. We can do. We'll see you interviewed matt riddle and you had ten minutes with them and you're saying he stayed in character too much. He was just playing. Like bro are well. Two things i don't know about riddle here is a great But he the only thing. I know about matt rentals. That everyone has told me that first of all that is him so he's barely different. I mean i think he's a little smarter than the character they portray on tv. But i think number one and number two that's one of the great challenges of establishing yourself as an interviewer in this business. I still struggle with that. Because you know heyman came on the case show yesterday. And i'm not going to immediately start asking inside baseball questions when he's on this big mainstream platform and we know that heyman likes to stay in character a lot so honestly. That's just a matter of experience and connecting with people and asking questions in a way that like never showed disrespect for their craft. Never directly acknowledge that their character may not be authentically them. You know i'm not gonna lie. It's one of the real complications of working in this business. And like you know. The kickoff shows are a lot of fun but a lot of people. Don't know i'm doing mental gymnastics. Every time i talk on that show because it's like how can i convey a point that i feel like fans on a deeper level will understand whilst living inside of a world where this is a straight ahead show so i'm not gonna lie. It's really one of the unsung sort of hard things about wrestling interviewing. Because if you come out as a new jack and you just straight up as someone like hey so what's it really like that that's offensive and when people get that you know when they do like a local tv morning show and they treat them like it's everything like they know it's a work and they're smarter than the businesses offensive and your indy wrestler. You would never disrespect a business like that. So i would say. Just be mindful smart and try to find things that you can point out that they've done recently that you really liked like that's always like even interviewing artists. It's like you tell an artist. You love an album cut on their most recent project because they're tired of hearing about their old shit they know their shit spire. They're trying to sell their new shit. So if you were all my god. I loved when you had that match with mick foley in two thousand. That's cool but i had a match last week so that would be my recommendation. See there you go. You gotta give them something that that they'll write two guys. Who got wrap it up At least the talking part everyone by shirts by a beer your pictures for little bit. Thank you all for coming out. "We're going up to the club and immediately as my eyes start to unfold from the throw up chunks. The man standing at the front of the club is now the belts her. That had just carried my limp body out the back door of the fucking club. I shit myself now. I've done a double dipper. I've thrown up now. I'm fucking shitting my pants. Fuck we approach the front. We go to walk in. And all of a sudden the bouncers forearm extends in front of slim shady and he goes. Fuck no bro. where roe. She's not coming back in. She is not coming back in slim. Shady is startled and quite confused. He's like hop. What i'm excuse me i'm paying for a fucking table. What do you mean by. The grace of god. And i don't know who is looking out for munis moment but the manager who knew slim happens to be also outside at the time. He looks at the bouncer bouncer bruno and goes yup bruno. You know that led him to fuck in. I can a dagger. I locate the bouncer and give him a little smirk and slim shady. And i trot our way right back into the club. And it's as if nothing fucking change and if anything this throw-up moment was fucking pivotal to the rest of the night. Because i was able to vomit. I was now almost starting fresh and i go back to that table. I raised my face off the rest of the night with the guys and it was a fucking success. None of them ever found out. None of them had any inclination. They just thought. I was the chill girl that took a fucking hot dog to the back of the throat because i thought that got stranded in a nightclub with nowhere to fucking sleep that night yes fucked myself in the asshole but i was able to make a comeback and the craziest thing is is that a couple that i set up. That night is now to this day. Married okay now listen. Obviously the fucking story and where. The trajectory of me and slim shady's relationship when dots for another fucking time. Of course it got us but in the beginning it really played out.

"Ray super nutritious. And i like the you offering some ideas about dairy free sauces because a lot of our parents like i always for pancakes i kind of default or ricotta cheese. Because we're coda is low in sodium. Ricarda is nice way to make pancakes softer but for families. That don't eat dairy either because they're vegan or the baby's allergic to dairy foods. They do need some options. That are dairy free absolutely and like i make pancakes a make. A version of pine kicks like vegan. Cake and i put slack season instead of egg and then just use like a coconut milk. Really good coconut milk here. That's fortified with Some calcium so. That's pretty good so at least for cooking purposes or if you're using like a soy milk for cooking purposes that's choky you find using something like that and then just spread your nice sauce on top of the pancake and could give it to your baby to eat perfectly finger food for them. What would you do for fish because fish can be one especially if you're doing like a white flaky fish that can be kind of dry again. We don't want those dry pieces of protein getting potentially stuck on the roof of the baby's mouth or it's pretty challenging for them to clear it from their airway. What sort of sauce goes well with fish. So there's three different sauces. i also make fish though. The first one will be passed has shown fish is delicious. Fashiony wants leggy fish. You can cut your fish ensue. Little chunks even rollers in a tiny little best of flour or diplomats. First rosen fire among. You're either baking in the oven or frying news and little bit of olive oil on On it's nice kind of coached the hallway true and then just spread your pastel on top. The other way. I would cook a sauce for fish would be some unsalted with a little. Bit of lemon juice. Sensuous on the little like a shaving like lemon zest on top of us. And then shaw rush. Parsley could chop fresh parsley. Because you're not using salt in your babies foods. Ever so i would never put salt into baby food but what i would do is always. Make sure your seasoning with like really nice fresh herbs..

"Page. They said little. Facebook page though setup little facebook page and see what happens and see if there's some kind of appetite for us author four months i got back into Says since i last spoke to you. I have been in the newspapers on tv. I've done all of this amazing stuff. And i have to has people following when page in four months which is pretty incredible and i signed my book contracts the following week so it was pretty quick and i got introduced to you because oscar is a little bit older than my quadruplets. So you had already published the first book. The baby lead feeding. Cut book when i was like looking for resources like okay. I'm interested in learning how to do. Baby led weaning. Because i struggled a ton of spoon feeding my oldest and i had quadruplets and i was like i'm gonna do baby led weaning but there weren't a ton of resources out there so your book was like the bible to me and i absolutely love love. Loved your book and i've been using ever since i recommended all the time it's on amazon. I'm going to be sure to linked to it in the show notes. But you have a second book as well. Which is the baby-friendly family cookbook. Is there a difference between the books so both books have recipes in them forbade lead waiting for what i did with the second book was. I took all of the questions that i had received in relation to the first book things dash. I could've improved with us like having a male plan or having some sort of symbols that signified whether recipes for freezer friendly lunch fox friendly and baby led weaning friendly because they were the questions. I got asked all the time on the first book and it was the first time i don a book so it was complete learning curve for me so the second book. I made sure that all of those questions were answered. I catch a spreadsheet tonight added things to us on. I've turned below. Sea team comes to. It's why we're friends. Ilena also have terrible. Ocd but also i think in the second book. It has american recipe with right conversions. Yeah yeah that was a huge thing for me and my first book because my publisher was supposed to send the bulkin tried to get into the us and then it never happens but your book is super popular here the first book i mean it's so big you can buy it on amazon. You have to look up how to do the conversions or you waste. It's not like a huge deal. I mean i use it all the time. i didn't even realize i wanted to create staffers. The bulk of the us version would have the conversions us. But it's just never it never happens. Unfortunately i'm like. I brought at the second books thinking. If i have those conversions in there it will make it a little bit easier but my publisher took over there so i think if i if i am going to do another bulk i'd like to do with. Us code shirt about my aim. Says i'm not listening. So i lean one of the areas. That's a real sticking point for parents are sauces so we always ate feeding dry foods like dry proteins and drive. You can't feed dry foods to babies dry foods are choking hazards the more moisture. We can add. The we reduce the choking russo. Always say you'll pancakes. We got a top with a dipper or a sauce or a topper gave us some basic ideas on sauces. Because i think it's such a pain point for parents. They don't know how to make sausage because commercial sauce. Too much salt in them for babies allegedly so in terms of snacking kind of sauce. Even kinda going to breakfast. I would've done like preloaded spoons with yogurt. So that's kind of saucy. I would put in some mashed bruce mc look And you're still.

Philbrick had his cooking establishment. Here he had bartsch burke dish in which he mixed his flower his water. Being in another dish of birchbark he rolled out his bread. On a sheet of birchbark with a rolling pin made from a stick appealed maple. His food consisted entirely of meat bread and tea. 'We come from the stars': Indigenous astronomy, astronauts, and star stories

"When you think about the night sky what constellations come to mind. Chances are they're rooted in western astronomy but indigenous. Astronomy and scientific knowledge have been here for millennia. It's just not taught in schools or considered important within universities. My next guest is working to change. That nielsen is mick ma. And he's a professor in the department of astronomy and astrophysics at the university of toronto. Helping welcome thank you for having me. So how would you describe the way. Astronomy is typically taught in university course university of toronto's famous having a an astronomy course fifteen hundred students in it in that course generally starts from the early greek and roman astronomy aristotle type of plato pythagoras and they will channel through european astronomy with newton and cabrera hey and yohannes kepler and galileo of course the modern enshrinement is just one linear path from the romans to essentially neil degrasse tyson and today scientists. It's very very centered in the european model. And how have you been incorporating indigenous knowledge in your courses. I've been trying to do that little bit here. And there are courses tend to be quite full of material so adding new materials always a challenge. But i always want to make sure students come in and the first thing they see is not there. Expect a constellation. I don't him see a bear with the tail lakers major. I want them to see the constellation view. I nor a constellation of the bear or a punish shining relation that please and to recognize that these constellations reflect landover on i for in toronto or in new magi or anywhere and what is indigenous astronomy. And how do you define it. How is it or how old. I define indigenous astronomy. As being the the knowledge of the peoples of the land so and since burnett Nation state of canada would find it as the astronomers of the people that were here before settlers in colonizers so strongly of the astronomy of first nations big cree on astronaut and so on across across rhode island and every nation has their own perspective of the night skydrone interpretation in knowledge of it and so these indigenous astronomers speak to connection to the land and and to the people and that knowledge has been here as long as the people have been here and so is there a star story that comes to mind for you that gives an understanding of indigenous astronomy. Great story was the story of noon on the seven bird hunters which is a story so close your eyes and you're looking morni- guy and you see what we call the less the big dipper. And if you're looking at the big dipper couple of hours before dawn in spring you're gonna see the big dipper pointing downwards so the four stars make up the bear kind of facing downwards detail is climbing higher in the sky the four stars of the big dipper in the bull our immune the bear and then pours. What would be the handle. The big dipper are at the bird hunters and you go on those three stars to another four to get the seven hunters and the story starts by while you have to get up early in the morning a couple of hours before dawn to this constellation when we observe it at that time in the morning and we observed every day we can see the constellation circle around the sky. The constellation circles around sky every night as well. So we see the two different timescales in play but if we start in the spring at that to ask for dumb the bowl. The big dipper the bears pointing downwards. And that's when the bears waking up from tiber nation and decides hungry needs to go gather food as the bear leaves. The cave i robin spies upon the bear grabs it's bone arrow and size to chase it from hunt and the story continues through the summer when muniz running across the land so the constellations kinda flat across the sky and the birger chasing it as we get towards fall newness getting tired and stands likes to fight back so the constellations on one side again. Some of the birds have fallen below the horizon and must track the hunt but immune you and stands back robin fires. It's era a striking the immune in the heart killing it. Blood gets everywhere. All of robinhood flies into the tree shakes off the blood separate one stain on his chest. The leaves are now allred as a result. Chickeny joins robin. And they begin a celebration to cook the cook. The bear and to celebrate the feast harvest as we approach winter the constellation as the bears on his back again and reflecting the spirit of the baron sky and waiting for spring to come as part of the next cycle. So we see lots of different kinds. We have knowledge of the year as a calendar have knowledge of ritual and ceremony and we have connection with nature. So it's not just a shawny story. It's it's part of. It's a story that people in story of how to be.

Our neighbor in the solar system switzer rushing to the other side of the top of your mouth brushing in tiny circles around each tooth. That robot that we spied on the surface of mars came from earth cleanest curiosity and now sent it from earth to mars to find out if there ever was or could be life on mars. Curiosity is the size of a car. That has six wheels and a long robotic arm curiosity even as a camera for taking selfies on mars. Someday nasa hopes to send humans to mars to. Maybe someday you'll be able to take a selfie with curiosity so what you're brushing to the bottom of your mouth but don't brush too hard ready for your next is by floating through space. Finding Abundance with Essential Oils

"By Hey Katie how are you? I'm good. How are you saying I'm good I'm super excited that you're here. You've been on the show before, but for those that don't remember Katie Dear Donna she is my personal mentor in young living and she is a young living gold leader soon to be platinum right Katie. Yeah. We're getting there have a few things to in placed. dipper close well as I've already told my audience, we don't talk about the business side of essential oils very often but today's just a special day and we're going to embrace it, and that's all we're going to talk about for this episode and I can't wait for everyone to kind of hear your story and get inspired and also come away with some really good practical advice as well. Her how to share their love. Of essential oils with others whether that be to get help getting their products paid for or for those that are really trying to make a huge financial change in their lives. So thanks for being here today Katie I really appreciate it pleasure I'm excited. Let's start out and talk about what is your background a little bit I mean did you ever think that you would be the owner of a successful essential oil business? No No. I definitely did not. Gosh in college I studied anthropology and Third World Development and focused on African studies. I had just gotten back from spending some time in Uganda and just thought that I wanted to focus on I. Went Back to school later on to study epidemiology and International Hol because I knew I wanted to help people and I was interested in health. But I really thought that I would be living in the Bush somewhere in Africa helping with basic health means like clean water in nutrition definitely didn't ever think I would be a business owner. So this is definitely a surprise to me but. I learned a ton about natural health and prevention when I got sick myself at the end of college I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. I could barely walk to inform class and I was at on nine different medications at one point just to help function and get through the day. My liver wasn't happy and so I started looking into natural ways to support my body and several years later in my healing process I found. My Dad has always been an entrepreneur though so I think it does run in our family. He is a pharmacist, but he's really an inventor at heart and when I was a kid, he had a home business called homestead products and services and beehives out of this property and we made so person our basement and then moved into the garage and the business grew we rolled beeswax candles and then my sisters and I were take all that stuff to the farmers market on Saturdays to sell, and we helped in the garage with shrink wrapping so and packaging the so. It was our little family business that he was always really interested in having us all kind of work together and have a family business and ironically enough now, all these years later, my entire family is involved in the business side of young living, which didn't happen right away. But I have three sisters who are now also building their own businesses and recently my parents are both gotten on board to build as well. So we're all working together to do this is a family, and then we all joke about how this is the family business at always wanted. That's so cool. So what does your oil business mean for your family? Why did you start this in the first place slider using oils in Chevy wary of twenty fourteen and I was pregnant with my second baby And initially, my dream was to be homeless run kit and when they were little and I just really struggled to have a vision for how that could ever happen because we've been so much financial debt with my Grad school loans and I just didn't think I'd ever be able to pay those off in my lifetime and I would talk to my husband Joe about it and just cry about how desperately wanted to be home with my kids and he was sympathetic and he'd say I'd love for you to do that but I don't see how that can happen financially so. When I made the decision to pursue the business side of young living I was on maternity leave I had a two month old baby and it was July first twenty fourteen. He also had gay bright. You had eve two months and then Gabe, was how old yet Gabe was almost two and a half without the outside, very active two and a half year old toddler boy and two month old baby girl and someone was running a young living boot camp to learn about the business side of things. So it started July I I remember sitting down writing in my journal like this is it. I'm going to invest myself in this. This is my opportunity to be home with my. I just wanted for and. By the time basically I had put the money away in savings knowing that grant I was working on was gonNA end and my business grew quickly enough that as my savings dwindled my young living income increased and by the time I was done I was making enough with your living to be able to be home and I never actually had to look for another job

Think no one can defeat Lindsey Graham? 'Watch me!' his Democratic opponent says.

"I'm Jonathan Kaye. Part and this is Cape Up. When I was in South Carolina in February for the Democratic primary I sat down with Jamie Harrison. He's the former chairman of the State's Democratic Party. The first African American to hold the post and now he's vying to become the Palmetto sleet second black sitting. Us senator by running against incumbent. Republican Senator Lindsey. Graham Harrison has an incredible bio one. That took him from being so poor. He ate cereal with water to being a graduate of Yale and Georgetown Law school his race to defeat. Graham has gone from improbable to possible since we talked. Harrison's first quarter fundraising broke state records and he's within striking distance of overtaking. The man folks once revered. Here's what he said happened at Focus Group in Charleston and one woman. Said said to the moderator. She said it and I'm bothered. By the fact that Lindsey Graham did not stand up for his friend John McCain and she said if he won't stand up for his best friend. What would do for me here? Harrison explain how that sentiment could be his route to victory over Lindsey Graham right now Jamie Harrison. Thank you very much for being on the PODCAST. Thank you Jonathan. I appreciate it so I to get into to who you are and when you look at your biography it's gripping in its gripping in its deprivation and in its success and start with the dipper the tough early years and there one line in your bio that just grabbed me and I read it several times a simple line and it was Were you said you remember eating cereal with water? Because you couldn't afford milk. Listen when I tell folks that we it was difficult and hard it was The that particular situation there are a number of occasions. Where you we go to fridge. Go get some milk. I love fruity pebbles. I also and and and my grandma would You know sometimes. She wouldn't be at home because she's working and it wouldn't be milk and so you have to put water in it I there were times Jonathan when you know my grandfather who were construction would get up in the morning needed to go to work. And the Goethe's car truck in the gas on empty in In so you know. I'm helping him trying to looking through couch cushions Looking for quarter nickel dime so he just get enough. You know at that time Gal. Gas was less than a dollar Just enough to Get to work and back and and because he needed to go to work we we had to have him go to work. It wasn't like he was going. He was on salary. Who's GONNA I mean We were we were Every Nickel County In our household himself you lived with your grandparents. Because your your mom had you when she was sixteen yes she. She had me when she was sixteen years old. And we. My mom and I both live with my grandparents for awhile and then my mom decided She got a job and got a house and moved out until then I stayed with her for a while and then she got laid off at her job and couldn't find anything here in South Carolina so she decided to go to Atlanta and When she decided to go to Atlanta the the agreement was that she would go find a job. Kind of get situated. I would see here with my grandparents until that happened but You know time pass. My mom did eventually situated. But I didn't WanNa leave my grandparents and it's because my grandparents and I had sort of a symbiotic relationship It got to the point where I feel obligated like I took care of them and they took care of me They didn't have a whole lot of education. My grandmother had an eighth grade education because she dropped out of school to pick cotton and then worked in textile insurance she did. Domestic were and my grandfather had a fourth grade education. He Stop School. He worked at a dairy and then he did construction. Most of his life up until he got diabetes but because they didn't have a lot of education and you know I was a kid. Who's the I did well in school even early on I was reading above my reading. Level you know early on and so Bills would come into the house and it was my job to read them to tell my grandparents what it was now the context for what? I was reading. It had no idea what clue was but That's what I read. And so but at the same time they took care of me they made sure I had my clothes my food and and took me to all the little things that I wanted to do. And so we had a very very close bond and in some ways my grandparents And I were is sort of a second set of parents in essence and But due to remarkable people one really horrible thing that happened was that their house was sold out from under actually taken away from them. Talk about what happened in that. So you know when I was this is when I was in Middle School Mike Grimm so the House that I was born in my grandparents decided to sell. 'em Uh my grandma was just had her heart set on a mobile home in this. When you know mobile homes are eight. They were coming out in their fancy and they had like the Jacuzzi Tub and all this other stuff even though we now know it as an investment is not something that you really want to invest. Because it didn't build any equity in thing so but nonetheless they went and they decide to get a mobile home so they took the money that a guy from the house they went to this mobile home manufacturing place and they bought one But they had to meet mortgage payments. Just like you know you would do on a house and so my The Guy who was there at the at the place he basically told my grandparents. Okay every month you bring your your payment to me and I will send it in to the And so they decide to do that. And so what you say is bring your money order because my grandfather always would go to post office and You get his paycheck. Get a cash. Go to the post office. Get a money order. My grandma would take the money order to the The Guy and he said well I'll feel it out for you so I can put all the information on it right and they did it for months and then they started getting letters that said you know Harrison. We haven't receive your payments allied and he took the my grandma and I would take a ladder to the guy and said I'll call them right now and find out what's going on. There's something wrong with their computer systems. Or whatever when on for a few more months then finally. It was a knock on the door. It was a sheriff in an. He's said Mr Miss Hairs. I'm to tell you but The bank is foreclosed on your home. And you're going to have you have until this time to move out. And they were devastated. Grandfather never really cried much had never saw. He's one of those you lose. All southern men just tough Grizzle Digest. It never cried and but that was one of the first times I saw my grandfather cry Because he would. He always believed in being diligent with his bills because his his father always told me to do that. We will. You always pay your bills and So we were. We were stuck on sleeping on couches and spare beds of friends and You know aunts cousins for a few months until my My grandma and you know as luck would have it. My grandfather also lost his job that the guy who ran the construction company rain for got ill and so they had to lay off all the folks on the companies and my grandfather also lost his job right around the same time and so finally we found this little place. Six forty four Green Street in Orangeburg. it was an a not a duplex triplex. Or something like that. And we had this one. Little two bedroom on the in and In my launch video. There's a picture of me walking in front of it. I mean it was didn't having the air conditioning Those little small cramp thing and But that's where we live for an all number of

Denver residents vote on whether to decriminalize 'magic mushrooms'

"Give us the one. Oh, one on magic mushrooms is still assignment mushrooms or psychedelics that can cause loosen Asians and along with several other psychedelics. They were made federally illegal in nineteen seventy souls Ibon is a schedule one drug. So that's the same classification as heroin and cocaine, obviously, some people who use them or using them wreck your recreationally, but there's also been quite a bit of research in the last couple of decades into their potential medical use specifically for mental illness and the US Drug Enforcement Administration. Does warn though that large amounts of slow Siping can cause panic attacks in psychosis. And that an overdose can be deadly. Now this initiative that's on the ballot today. Invent Denver doesn't actually legalize the mushrooms. The goal is just to d- prioritize to the greatest extent possible. The criminal penalties for using. And possessing the mushrooms how how would that work, right? The municipal election, obviously, can't change state or federal law. So. So the ballot measure if it passes it will still be illegal to possess or use like Delic mushrooms but this initiative could reduce drug arrests. So essentially at a directs law enforcement to focus his attention on every other crime, including jaywalking before it enforces laws that make magic mushrooms illegal. Jaywalking would be a higher priority. Interesting where did this initiative come from? What's the argument in favor of it? So the group campaigning for this measure is called decriminalized Denver, and they try to get the measure on the ballot last year and failed. But this year, they got the signatures they needed so they're pointing to potential medical benefits and the FDA granted so's I've been based treatment for depression breakthrough therapy status. That's a process that expedites the development and review of new treatment. Johns hopkins. Researchers also found some evidence that suicide and could help treat some forms of anxiety and depression and the campaign manager, Kevin Matthews actually, credits solicitation with saving his life. When he struggled with depression. So people are pointing to those to the potential meta medical benefits is what they're. Rounding their campaign, and what about the opposition dippers mayor Michael Hancock opposes about initiative beyond that there's not much if any vocal opposition coming out of Denver. The public had the opportunity to submit comments on the ballot initiative and no one submitted a common against it. Probably the most prominent opposition voice has been this intense institute, and that's Colorado Christian university think tank based in Lakewood, Colorado, and that's just west of Denver and Jefferson County, and they're concerned about safety as well as the area's reputation as sort of drug haven is there any indication of whether this is gonna pass today. People in favor of the measure have certainly been more vocal than those opposed. And we know that the decriminalize Denver group got more than five thousand validated signatures from city residents to get the question on the ballot. But more than seven hundred thousand people live in the city of Denver. So whether or not they've gathered enough momentum for the initiative to pass.
