"The player that moves me and not in a good way emotionally because I don't want to overstate Dion Jones value during the Dan Quinn years. He's not a feature Hall of Famer or anything, but he was a really good player and I think he was trending toward being a very, very good player and then the injuries kind of piled up a little bit. But he was so fun to watch when he was at his best in that Dan Quinn defense. Last year in the dean P's defense, he looked, he might be physically slowing down. He's only 27. But he was not playing fast in any way shape or form. He just looked like a completely different guy out there and I don't know if this makes sense him in this defense. I should rephrase that. It doesn't make sense. He doesn't make sense in DP's defense. So they could trade. Yeah. I mean, he's there. He's going to play, that's a guy. You wish they'd move Grady Jarrett because grey Jerry's good and you want to see good players on good teams, but Dion Jones they should move just because he could be a good player elsewhere, but he's not going to be a good player in Atlanta. I don't think. Look, second year in the system, maybe things change, but it was a bummer watching him last year. He was not the same guy. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's a bummer watching the falcons, which is why they're 32. It really is. What is your best case scenario here for the, for the falcons? The Mariota, so I outlined this dream scenario on the last show changing coordinators, Arthur Smith gets desperate, UCLA fires chip Kelly for the move to the Big Ten. The falcons hire chip Kelly is their offensive coordinator. They reinstall that lightning offense from 2012 and they go ten and 7 and they make the playoffs. But think about how many impossible things I had to come up with to make that their best case scenario involves 8 things that aren't going to happen. And then I still see them as a ten win team. Boy, yeah. I don't think they can get to 7. I don't think they avoid ten wins here. I will get a much less creative answer and just say, I don't know. 5 and 12? Is your best case scenario? Are your worst? Is my best case scenario? And then do we both agree that worse they could probably have the number one pick in the draft next year? Yeah, definitely. Yeah, I think the best thing that could happen to this team is Desmond Ritter gets out on the field. Second half the season and shows you enough, I just don't think Desmond Ritter is possibly a star in this league. I don't think he's a guy you will, even if he hits his ceiling. I don't know if he's ever a guy that you're like, yeah, we're set here. It's not like it's gonna be some sort of Josh Allen rise or something like that. And that's not a bold prediction, but I think if Desmond Ritter does sort of grasp this starting job, it's just gonna be a situation where

"Example, when you have two guys like tyreek hill and Jalen waddle that can get up the field like that, you might want two safeties over the top of those guys instead of just one in the middle of the field. So a lot of interesting things to monitor as we move forward here. Yeah, go ahead. Just I would add, the other thing I think it doesn't. And I've been thinking a lot about this and I see some people in the chat talking about the linebacker position in the drafts and all of that. Do you remember in 2020? They didn't have linebackers. It just didn't on the roster like juwan Bentley was the only linebacker with over 50% usage rate. The next closest was Anthony Jennings. He was like 28, something like that. You know, they just didn't play. They didn't play linebackers. They didn't put linebackers on the field. I wonder if we could go back to that this year, right? Where it's just, they're going to have one linebacker, whether it's Bentley or Mack Wilson, depending on the situation. That guy's going to be on the field in the middle, wearing the green dot, and then it's just going to be the defensive line in the secondary around him. Like, they've done it before. I don't know that it's necessarily, but if we're looking at, you know, what are they going to do here in the coming weeks? And what are the previous acquisitions tell us? They may be like our base. They may be in the mindset that our base defense is going to be for safeties. Yeah. That may be where they're looking because they have their personnel to do it. They have the personnel do it in safety, and they have the lack of personnel to justify it at linebacker. So I wouldn't rule that out either. So we've had this conversation before, too, from the angle of when you look at guys like Niko dean, Christian Harris even 225, 230 pounds. Those guys are jacked up safety is playing linebacker. And the question that I always come back to with the Patriots specifically with the way that they've used those safeties is does Bill Belichick say, well, why would I use a jacked up linebacker who is worse in coverage than just a guy that's played a safety his entire career where I can get these 222 125 pound safety is that okay, maybe they are 5 to ten pounds lighter than somebody like Niko D and but they're much better in coverage and much more flexible in coverage because they can also play deep if I want them to play deep. I think a lot in a lot of ways the league is saying, oh, well we're gonna load up on these Dion Jones types of linebackers that are 225 pounds and Bill is saying I'm just gonna take the 220 pound safety and put them in the same exact spot because the play strain, the size, we're talking about on the margins here, Kyle Duggar is longer and maybe thicker than a guy like nicobi dean. Like he's right there in terms of height, weight, wingspan, all that kind of stuff with a guy like dean, so you mentioned the one linebacker defense or maybe like a 5 one diamond front where you have typical traditional three, four look on the line of scrimmage three down defensive lineman, the two outside backers and then just one middle linebacker in the middle of that. And then you have the safety is kind of filling in around it..

Isn't julio jones. The atlanta falcons. What's on your mind. I have to and the first one is definitely falcons related. My moan is. I don't have a problem with julio wanting out. I don't have a problem. With the current falcons administration front office for letting them go. What i have a problem with is their old. Gm who was just let go at the end of last year thomas to me trough who screwed everything up and that is the reason why julio one that he did not fix the contract situation. The betsy could. He never made any changes real changes as far as a running back that they desperately needed and every defensive draft pick he made was eager good but super injury prone or pretty bad they never fixed the pass. Rush with the exception of grady jarrett. Who was a blessing in disguise. The linebacking core is not all that great with the exception of dion jones and the was beyond laughable and always injury prone. He's the sole reason that julio's gone and i can't stand it. So that's my sportsman. My personal moan and i notice you know as you know. We're getting back to full planes as far as being at the airport over the weekend. And i'm fine with that. What can we. "Has Seton pointed out there in the commercial break. Might be legal reasons why This hasn't been confirmed that the interview with Julio Jones and Fox Sports with Shannon Sharpe. Wasn't cleared beforehand because in California where that show is taped, you can't take somebody illegally. Um Springing. Albert Breer, senior NFL Reportedly content strategist for the money Morning. Quarterback. Do wanna let you know Albert that you are live on the show right now. Thanks for the heads. Okay? Priskos wouldn't let you Everything's nice and legal here. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. I think most members of the media don't really care about sort of these details behind the scenes that Julio Jones No, he was on the air. Not fans don't care. They just want to know what Where is he going to go here? So let me least touch on what happened here with Julio Jones and Shannon Sharpe. Do you think Julio knew He was on the air Live? I don't think you know, um, you know, just digging around a little bit yesterday. I really got the sense based on the way some things went down that that he didn't know. And honestly, I mean, without having inside knowledge of exactly the way that that went down between Shannon Julio, like we have 10 years of track record on Julio Dan. I mean, does that seem a little out of character like he is such a private guy? And I like the fact that they were able to keep this quiet for 2.5 months like I like. Why would you just blurt that out like it's just like the whole thing smelled funny when it happened, and the more I dig around the more it's sort of It just seems to have confirmed the fact that he didn't fully know that he was what he was saying was going out to a national television audience. And I think if you listen to the conversation, it sounds like casual conversation between a couple guys in the phones. I think we heard about there were whispers around the draft that Julio Jones could be traded. I think the night of the draft we thought that maybe there's a chance that he could be traded, But now you fast forward this to go. Okay. If you're the Falcon's eye view, this is a Matthew Stafford moment like, Hey, we're open for business He wants out. And if you want to make us an offer, we're not the bad guys moving on from Julio Jones. But I also go back to their draft strategy here. If if you're letting Julio go you're bringing in Kyle pitch, But you still have Matt Ryan. That's where I wondered. Why not just do a total reset and I know you still have Matt Ryan for a year. A to least but you could have drafted the quarterback, so there's a lot to kind of unpack here. Because I think that they feel like they're close enough where they can compete right now with the core players. They have even absent Julio. And if you look like I mean Dion Jones really good middle linebacker Jake Matthews, really good left tackle Calvin Ridley, potentially number one receiver. They poured a lot of first round picks into that offensive line. You know, I think you can see where the new guys in charge there. The GM Teri fought on the coach Arthur Smith, feel like We can win right now, and we can do Maybe what? Andy Reid didn't Kansas City where we can build around a veteran quarterback for the first few years be competitive year in and year out and then eventually pick our spot when there's a quarterback out there that we really like in the draft and get aggressive and going get him, But I do think job number one for them going into this offseason was cleaning up the salary cap, and that's This whole thing began. They really have five players. They've got gigantic contracts on the roster on DATs. You know Ryan, Julio Dion Jones, Jake Matthews and Grady Jarrett. And they've already restructured three of those guys. So you know, Ryan, Dion Jones and Jake Matthews are in for 2021. The question then becomes Where do you find space going forward? You want to keep pushing money forward, So what's already going to be a 22 in two problem becomes a 2023 problem. I just think when you add the fact that Julio quietly lodged that request through his agent in early March, you can kind of had things up. Where you say, OK, The Falcons were looking for capital E. Here's a guy who doesn't want out. The other guy's one in Let's build going forward is if we're gonna win right now, knowing that there's 12 big piece, the puzzle is probably going to come out who should call the Falcons today. Like I doesn't make all the sense in the world that this could be the all of branched Aaron Rodgers like I mean, it's just and their cap is an issue and everything else but like it's like, here's the thing with the Packers and Aaron, like I think they're in a little bit of a tough spot because I go out of this. I think we talked about this last week goes back to last year. The communication of the Jordan Love pick was poor between the team and Rogers that created hard feelings. I think the fact that the Packers have largely stood pat as far as veteran acquisitions this offseason, rubbed him the wrong way. He wants them to build the way that the box have built around Brady. Well, if you really want Aaron back in, you know, you figure it's tough to prove to him that you're gonna build a different way at this juncture in the off season, And now that opportunity's sitting there for you right now, maybe you mortgage a couple contracts. You do some things that you haven't done in the past to bring in a star player. And give Aaron Rodgers Julio Jones to play opposite Davante Adams like it just to me like if you if you're the Packers, and you really, really want Aaron Rodgers back in and you feel like you're in a two or three year window to compete for championships. What better heir All of friends? T get Aaron Rodgers back in, then to go acquire Julio Jones. How about this you trade Jordan love for Julio Jones. That's perfect, right? And then the Falcons into the Falcons have a guy they could develop on the roster, right? I mean, like, now, all the sudden this was easy, but we saw we saw this. This is we just solved a major problem. Julio Jones, the Packers Aaron Rodgers is back in the Falcons have their quarterback of the future. We just talked for five minutes and solved everything that we just talked about in 26 hours Easy. That was easy. What was the big takeaway from Aaron Rodgers Interview last night? That you have to decode everything, which I think you know, you know animal enough, Dan that you have to decode everything that, he says and I think when he says it's about the people, you know he's pointing back toe. Communication issues that there have been over the last year and a half and you know again, and I hate to keep harping. I don't think it's as much about the Jordan love pick itself as it is. The way it happened, how it caught him off guard how he found out about it While they're on the clock. I just think that could have been handled better. I think they're people the Packers organization that would concede that to you. Um, you know, and then I think going forward, you know, now is Radar's up, and it's okay..

"Appreciate you listening and making me a part of your Saturday Let's head to the Dirty South and be joined by Orlando Di Ledbetter. He covers the Falcons for The Atlanta Journal Constitution. Orlando Appreciate hopping on with us today. Sure. Thanks for having me on the Harrison experience. No, we appreciate you Let's start here. So there was a report earlier this week that Julio Jones is possibly going to be traded this offseason. So with Julio, do you think he could be traded this off season? Yeah, Everything's pointing towards that. That the days of him in Atlanta or number did our reporting this week. Our stores up on legacy dot com that you know, In fact, that day, the pier number You know they need the salary cap space. Or the rookie class, but it looks like a parting of the ways with their long time. Great receiver is coming up here, Stupid. When you think of Julio Jones, you got the chance to watch him last season. How much do you think he has left in the tank? Do you think Julio still an elite level wide receiver, or do you think last year sort of the beginning of the end? You know, 32 33 is usually when you see a dip, Roddy White didn't make it past 33. But, you know, maybe he can be, uh, Larry Fitzgerald and refashioned himself. I think he has got you know he's worth seeing if he can go for another couple years. No question about it. Even if he's not at top elite level, Julio still would be one of the better receivers in the league, so I think there is there some gas left in that cake. Because I'm looking at it. You bring up Roddy White. I think that's interesting where I let off with. I don't think that he's a J green like I still think there's a little bit more left in the tank like I think a J Green is completely done. But if you look, it's sort of how things decline for AJ Green. It wasn't much different than what happened last year for Julio Jones age or Green was a Pro Bowl tight wide receiver. He got injured one year and he's never really bounced back left last year was that first sort of injury year for Julio Jones, where I do have some Some curiosity on whether he could go back to being that dynamic playmaker. He was Yeah, no question about it. I would not still, uh, have comfortable if it was a knee or something like that, You know, hamstring muscle injuries you can you know that it can be managed and fix. Yeah. What does he sail? Have the force up for four speed? Maybe not. But you know, he'd be a difficult low coming out slide against, you know, most Nickelback so I think you know there's a rope for him somewhere still in the league on If we can't get it done outside, you could move him inside so big that he be automatic mismatch in a lot of offenses. Right now we're talking Orlando Di Ledbetter, who covers the Atlanta Falcons on Julio Jones. What kind of compensation do you think the Falcons are looking for? If they trade Julio Jones? Is it a one? Is it a two? What do you think the Falcons want in exchange for Jones. I'm here to do it A three maybe, maybe a four. You know the markets kind of depressed for 33 year old wide receivers. You know, it would have been ideal for them to trade him during the season. Last year, he was healthy. That's trading deadline and probably could have got a one. But right now we're hearing the two of the three or maybe a four. A couple picked there because they can't take any players back because that would No that would mess up their salary cap situation even more. Yeah, That's what I keep hearing. How did Atlanta is? Salary cap situation gets so bad? Yeah. You know what happened was after they went to the Super Bowl. They started signing up there What they thought was the core players And, uh, you know, gave him my arm. Very body got market share deals even from Devante Freeman. Dion Jones. Grady Jarrett met Ryan redo with Julio s o. They wanted to keep their core together, but they failed by, you know, not hidden in the draft pick of the 2017 draft. For their top three of their top four picks in the foot. Four rounds attack McKinley in in the first Duke rally in the third and Sharon Harlow in the fourth, none of them Turned out to be players and then you know, same thing happening. 18 and 19 and then the you know. Free agent signing German brown, James Carpenter. Lasted. Dante Fowler know those guys produced either so sudden, your roster your talent levels in decline, and you can't compete. You know you're in dog fight every week and you're blowing leaves and Losing a lot of games by one score, and that's how they how they kind of got there. Right now. We're talking Orlando di Leadbetter for a couple of more minutes about Julio Jones. Do you think the Falcons would have any apprehension to keeping him in the NFC? Let's say a team like the Packers. Came called and they really wanted Julio Jones. Or do you think they'll only ship him off to the A. F. C Yeah, Packer there are you know they make this They gotta get some cap space 10 teams that could take on the 15.3 salary and they're not one of them, so they have to make a couple moves and so forth. New England is, you know, one that we're keep hearing? Um, you know, reuniting him and suppose he wants to play a chord to a reporter out of Boston radio station up there. Does he want to play with Cam Newton? So I'm sure they you know, run hang out here in Atlanta together in the dirty South. But you said so. Those are two teams. I'm You know, keeping an eye on? You know, Of course, the 40. Niners could be a good landing spot for him, the raisins or another team that we you know, or mentioning as a possible landing spots, the company They could use him, but they got money. But the money is earmarked for various Hlynur and Clinton. Nelson. So, uh, you know, you could can eliminate them so There. There's some options from trade partners, potential trade partners and a potential deals for the fastest to make Orlando. If I had this lock in a pick, I would pick the Los Angeles Chargers. I think the Chargers are in a city where you always want to make a splash. The team that they share their stadium with is always about making splashes. You've got a young quarterback. You give him another weapon. You close the gap between you and Kansas City. You get closer to clinching a wild card spot. If I had to pick a team right now that I think would do it. I would pick the Chargers. If the Falcons ended up trading Julio Jones, who were some teams, you think make the most sense. Yeah. Yeah, The charges are on that list. You know, certainly with the young quarterback Justin Herbert. He's you know up in comrade a great rookie season. They certainly would be one on that list. But, yeah, New England, Green Bay, You Ravens and the Raiders keeping an eye on the Raiders, because you know, they know went after Antonio Brown a couple years ago, so Those are some of the teams that you know we could blend with. I appreciated that Orlando Di Ledbetter. He covers the Atlanta Falcons for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Orlando Man, have a great rest of your day. Do the same Carrington and enjoy your Harrison experience and enjoy coming on your shoulder day..

"And it's great to be with you. We're gonna Get to the phones here in just a second lot of you wanted to get in talk some NFL Anything's fair game, 855212. Four CBS to get in Frank Schwab, NFL writer for Yahoo! Sports is going to join me in the next segment, so we'll get his thoughts on the big game coming up. We'll get his thoughts on the staffer trade that Shawn Watson Saga drama turmoil. If you're a Texan fan like I am based out of Houston, Texas, for those of you don't know can see an R G stadium right out the window. There she is, right over there. Um, so we'll get to the phones here in just a second. You know, it's funny, like my whole Twitter timeline is just covered in proposals for dish on Watson. Jordan says on Twitter. The biggest roadblock in the trade is actually to Sean Watson's no trade clause, and I think he'd be more willing to waive it for a team like Atlanta, then for the Jets, people should know that Shawn Watson is from Georgia. He grew up Not just rooting for the Falcons. I think he was a ball boy for the Falcons if I'm not mistaken. He was a ball boy for the Falcons when Matt Ryan was a young quarterback there. That's how old Matt Ryan is. Uh, Falcons would send the fourth overall pick plus a second and a third this year off first in a second next year. And then a first in 2023, Dion Jones, the linebacker, and Calvin Ridley, who is I believe a pro Bowl wide receiver. If not, he's very, very talented. We would know he's a Pro Bowl wide receiver because the Pro Bowl would normally be on today. Instead, they're doing some Pro Bowl celebration. Can't tell you. I don't miss the Pro Bowl too much. I do miss betting on the over in the Pro Bowl, though. It's weird Esso anyways. Yeah, That's a lot of draft capital man. Like some of these trades, I don't want to trade to Shawn Watson. I don't know that there's any package of the team can put together without turning themselves into the 2020 Texans. Right. You're getting your draft for the next three years. So you get to Shawn Watson and then not be able to put a team around him like the Texans last year. Employed on the Texans. That's a tough one to say no to it. The Texans are going to do a deal. It has to have a top five pick in this year's draft. Because they can't get one of these re tread quarterbacks. They can't get one of these quarterbacks who's a young quarterback who's failed like Donald and feel like he's the guy these talks of like, Well, what if we gave you two? Uh And we'll give you your third overall pick back that you gave us for Tunsil, and we'll give you our other first rounder and maybe a pick next year and you get to, uh Which I would say great. No, thank you. I'm not a to a guy. So these are the types of proposals man I do. Shawn Watson Trade is going to be an historic trade. It has to break the Herschel Walker trade level bank or else Mikis Ariel will have failed in flipping the on Lee Avenue he has to accelerating. A rebuild with the Texans is, ironically Probably trading to Shawn Watson. If the shop wants is on this team, they're better than they'll be without him. Without him. They are threatening Owen 16. With him. There probably ain't may for the next couple years. I mean, look in a court of law, there would be an argument to be made defending the side of the Texans need to trade him if they can get X Y Z. If X. Y Z is what I just read the Falcons proposal or this hypothetical that Falcons actually a Texan fan and put this up, just mixing in what the Falcons could do. That's a tough one to say, Boy. The Texas was completely in the wrong to do that. There are Godfather offers out there even for two Shawn Watson. Eight by 5 to 1 to four CBS or just to reset before we hit the phones. The Texans are dug in on this with Shawn Watson for the first time since his trade request became Announced an official to the public. He made it two weeks ago supposedly to the Texans. It didn't become public until Thursday when it was announced a reported that David Cully would be the next Texan's head coach. And it happened at nine. In the morning. I lost my mind on my show here locally, like like I went ballistic. Set. A lot of things regret. None of it. He's the Shawn Watson by God. So I lost my mind a little bit. But this s O. The Texans had their first opportunity to speak about where they stand on the Sean Watson's trade request. In the David Cully introductory press conference the next day on Friday, two days ago. Here is what Nick Kiss Aerio, the general manager had to say. Organizationally just want to reiterate our commitment to Shawn Watson. He's had a great impact on this organization. A great impact on a lot of people great impact on the scene and we look forward the opportunity to spend more time with him here this spring once we get started And you know, we have zero interest in trading the player we have a great plan, Great vision for for him and for this team and his role in our team, and we look forward the opportunity to spend more time with him here this spring. We have no intention of trading. The player that's is Dijon, Watson's new head coach that he may or may not ever play a game for David Cully..

We'll get his thoughts on the Stafford trade that Shawn Watson Saga drama turmoil. If you're a Texan fan like I am based out of Houston, Texas, for those of you don't know can see and RG Stadium right out the window. That's old Matt Ryan is Uh, Falcons would send the fourth overall pick plus a second and a third this year off first in a second next year. Yeah, That's a lot of draft capital man like some of these trades, I don't wanna trade to Shawn Watson. I don't know that there's any package of the team can put together without turning themselves into the 2020 Texans. Right. You're getting your draft for the next three years. So you get to Shawn Watson and then not be able to put a team around him like the Texans last year. The boy from the Texans. Shawn Watson Trade is going to be a historic trade. It has to break the Herschel Walker trade level bank, or else Nikki Cereal will have failed in flipping the on Lee Avenue he has to accelerating. A rebuild with the Texans is, ironically Probably trading to Shawn Watson. If the shop wants is on this team, they're better than they'll be without him. Without him. They are threatening on 16. With him. There probably ain't may for the next couple years. I mean, look in a court of law, there would be an argument to be made defending the side of the Texans need to trade him if they can get X Y Z. If X. "Know, I don't know you linebacker is your safety? I don't know. He's a jumbo. I don't know what he is. All I know is you said the name Obi Millon phone woo. And you said it confidently. Never sweat a lot of practice in front of a mirror this afternoon. You shouldn't say that. You don't want me back. Uh, Ted Robinson. One time got one in he was doing and Niner game and it was like tight ends. Name was Michael Hamano. Wanna knew we It was like it was like so much more difficult. Monem annuity, and Ted nailed it. Like as the guy who's making his first play and like the fourth quarter, and I'm thinking, man, Ted is a pro because he you know that was not just didn't just roll off the tongue. He did his his his homework on that one. You gotta practice. Gonna break it down and instant combo was Michael. But answer. The combo was the one that just destroyed everybody. You're just like looked at that wet. What And the hardest names when they tell it to you and you still don't get it. What way exactly. Would you just say that mean and took? Wow. Why remember, the warrior said shrewdness, jazz, A vicious sisters. Yes, like cabbages. Yeah. Yes, The cabbages I believe is how you pronounce it But Sarko Zarco to Park Oppa. Turbo Aqaba. Sarko chard. Baklava smoking if you got him, Yeah, sure. Oh, yeah, he did. Hey, did there was three people smoking in that big here? Google it Asking. Everybody was so happy when when Yang has got a nickname is like we go Call them Greek freak. Everybody. Everybody agree on that. Say Aye, Aye. Good by the time they did it, then we all knew how to pronounce. Really? What are you doing any more? We got it. He just walking down the street going. Yo, What's up into two combo? Yeah, I think the end of the combo. You like what you have just saying the man that's when you're happy. Feel like I could first name league, Janek. We just get his play forced you to learn his name. They did good. I gotta put some respect on his name and actually learn how to say his name. And then when you hear like to announcers said differently, like God, Just get right to somebody Get in here. Get it wrong, But get it wrong together, Get it wrong together, So there's some, you know, he anonymity here. I got nothing You just gave you when you were doing When you go back to Greek freak like there's there's, um Variance in hospitals. I know how to say, Greek freak every good Dad. What was the first nickname he got from the Milwaukee guy? Cameron wasn't I think he was called in the alphabet. Yeah, that's good enough for me. Well, then there's people that go about the spelling Strictly right, So they're constantly you're doing like you're watching the Niners and this guy's a five year vet or whatever, but you're still hearing Chick whiskey tart. Because it looks like to quiz ski. I'm super Yeah, well, that's the thing If you're e don't know how you wouldn't do a game Jakubowski and just watch the game before that, with the sound odd to seek it all the names right? And if they don't have it There's always a PR guy. His name's Bob laying. You always call them and the young. Good. Well, they're they're happy because that's the one thing isn't announcer. I mean, I know I mess up names occasionally, but I don't like it. You know their families in watching so I want to get their name right? S O in coaches with the worst coaches air, just like like, just stick to the numbers. You get everything I don't even know the guy who did the Niners game Sunday screwed up some of the names was ridiculous. He called DJ Jones, Dion Jones. Hey, had a he had two or three other ones like that. Hey, DJ Jones's and care. I think, e I was seeing a DJ Morris. Excuse me doesn't care what you call he got his 100 K at the end of the game for that pass, which I'm a so you. Did you see Antonio Brown? I did that. So that would too. That was my favorite. One of the weekend gave him to pop passes. He just dropped it right in. Brady dropped right in front of him. And he kept his ass is Yeah, because he needed three more for 250,000 bonus, So he threw him a quick squeeze swing pass for one of them and to the next to he just ran by the line of scrimmage. And he like flipped it to me. Hey, did that twice for like a gain of three yards 250 K. Thanks for coming, everybody. That's that's how you get people to do anything for you. Just selfish acts like that. Like I'm I'm gonna put $100,000 in your pocket just by doing the tiniest little thing you gotta frankly, that's the person to help you bury a dead body right there. He kidnapped saloon. Maybe too. I mean, yeah. 250 K for just that's it. To actually and 50. K is laced up Antonio Brown on the old Kruger fantasy team. When I read that like about 26 weeks ago that he had this huge percentage of his pay this year tied to incentives But they didn't realize they're gonna wait till you know, Week 17 to make it a reality. E. It was pretty quiet until the last three or four games. You know who else didn't pick it? They would wait until the last game of the season to do that. Antonio Brown. Yeah, he thought he was gonna come in and catch all sorts of past has found out not so much not so much dog. Yeah. I think Emmanuel Sanders got 500 K? Yes, he did. Yeah. For Captain Dalton did not get his. What was it like? Was it 100 grand or 250 grand for making the playoffs. Yeah, that's right. He had a big one for playoffs. Leonard Floyd at 1.25, perhaps sack nice. That's nice when he got into it has run off the field. The money, son E. You don't need that game or anything to make the playoffs, but they did. The Darius Smith got a million dollar bonus and the Packers for 12.5 sacks Devante Parker. He had been divided. Parker had to work a little bit. He had to get four receptions and 73 yards. And he had 44 63. And then they got him the one. It's the end. Apparently, is one of the few that too it through to the right team. And Parker Kat it and ran 18 years and he got his $750,000. On this Tyler Lockett $600,000 bonus. This was the one that killed me. Right here. So manual Sanders 500 grand. Cool. Good for him. Uh, I'm looking at some other ones, not deep team or David more 100 grand for the Seahawks. Which was sloppy. They waited to the end Tom Brady, We really need a damn bonus. You mean damn bonus money? Apparently you do. He got 562 grand for finishing in the top five in passing. So $562,000 Tom doing his job for doing the thing they brought him in here to do exactly how about this guy? I was thinking about this. I'm mad at him. I hate he got it. They dump Texas dump Tom Herman as we mentioned before for Sark. I didn't realize this. But that was a $15 million phone call that Herman got as the buyout 24 million to buy out his entire staff 15 million as his own personal buyout. I mean, that would definitely soften the blow of getting fired. If somebody if you knew you had $15 million coming to you just boom. Suddenly. Thanks. Good luck to Sark. All right. That's a phone call. You don't mind getting here's my checking account number. Could you direct deposit that? Thank you. Like what happened? You're fired. How much like, Okay, Cool. Who was Gene? Chizik? Gene Chizik. Uh, Malzone got fired from Auburn. And his buyout was 12 to 15. Maybe a little bit more. And it's due from Auburn in 30 Days. 60 really some some some very short amount of time. Auburn has got to put that money. In his hand. That's gonna be a donor. It's gotta be a donor. Just some of the old owner. Yeah, all the all this. It's a fun check at the cash right there. Well million dollars in between tears like my routing number 577232..

"Specifically, the guards left a lot to be desired, with all due respect. And you lose route off than a couple of tight ends. And Smith and Conklin they jump up. I just feeling at 14 touchdowns 13 in the Red Zone number one in the NFL. I just can't stress enough. How well Gary Kubiak cousins in the offense did through the totality of all 2020. And if you can, if you can amplify that And and find better protection for Kirk. It's one of the questions I laid out for Gary 11 20 K F A. N If you put if you provide requisite protection for Kirk Cousins, who's one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the history of the NFL, he'll kick your ass. On in every week basis, and that's really what it's all coming down to. Now, with Cook Jefferson feeling a draft coming up and this quarterback, so there are a lot of positive things offensively on which to build and absolute reparation needed with the defense. Kirk Cousins is obviously no Aaron Rodgers. She's obviously know Tom Brady. He doesn't have a ton of rings and you know a bunch of record setting seasons or things like that to T attack on to his resume. But when you talk about Justin Jefferson having these receiving yards and you talk about Galvin Cook, You know, nearly getting 2000 yards who's throwing the ball to Justin Jefferson? It's Kirk cousins, right? He's on the other end of every one of those yards. Dalvin Cook doesn't get 2000 yards. If there's no threat of if there's a reasonable threat of a passing game, the defense's have to account a ma'am. I mean, you guys dealing with political, worldly, earthly American related issues. On a daily basis. I mean, that's real stuff. Where where we leave work and with our personal lives, we live it. You know this? This is a football team that is they diversion for those looking to get away from distractions, sadness. With with with with not the car racing what he called it. NASCAR NASCAR. Thank you, just like just like just like making a left turn for prize money. Copyright the great Jim Rome. That's a distraction for a lot of people. Okay now how seriously people take it, that's up to them. And you know, I would rather people take football and or the Vikings. Uber seriously, then not care about it and be apathetic. So now with what you guys do with way you're navigating through through issues and that hot presidential race and stuff like that perspective should be relatively easy to find. When you find a common ground and with cousins, your that is one of the biggest conversations over the last two years and change sports wise that I and we have had. That involves not necessarily how he plays. But the money he got and you're going to get. He's the first player in the history of the NFL to get that three year guaranteed bed. So for whatever the reason, you know, like Kirk could break a leg during a game and I would go on Twitter and say God bless Kurt Cousins. Hopefully you bounce back. Well, can't wait to see you next year, and people would fire it me saying I don't feel sorry for millionaires. Okay, So you have that so that peace is there and it's always going to be there in a habit state. Then you get to the legitimacy of the games. Curt, With all due respect, don't throw it to Dion Jones first play of the Atlanta game. Don't you know Kirk makes mistakes, but so does Tom Brady. And that's no way to say Kirk ever will be Tom Brady? But you're not seeing the forest for the trees. If you don't remember how crap things were in 2018. The offensive coordinator in his first year here with a three year deal, I think got fired before the season was over, Things were so acrimonious, so they had to pay him off 2019. It was cousins who found feel in late in the playoff game. Then he found root off to win it at New Orleans. That's pretty cold blooded and this year, statistically speaking, he did what he did. But the fact that he has found a way to run effectively. That is something I know former offensive coordinator Kevin's too fancy now, with the Browns going to the playoffs. Kubiak there and and all the way back to Washington with Jay Gruden, his former coach. They've wanted Kirk to run because he's so smart, he knows. Okay, This is a man to man defense. Their backs are to me and probably could wait for Jefferson a second half and might be able to get a 40. Maybe or I could just go out and run for 13. And now he's running. So he took a step this year that I felt was very, very positive going into next season. You know, we've talked about Justin Jefferson and the Amazing Year he Adam super excited to see what he could do next year of any other rookies. That you that you really are excited to see Besides Jefferson being the obvious choice well with with with Justin quickly because this is too understated for my liking, And I think it's going to stay understated. What? Which is sad because Justin, he's nose and nose with Herbert for the Chargers for rookie of the year. Justin plays quarterback Herbert So he's probably gonna win on Brandy Mosses rookie year in 98. I mean, it was one of the most fantastic, splashy explosive things anybody's ever seen from a rookie. Justin's wasn't okay he had, like six or seven games with 50 yards or fewer couldn't find him with a search light first two games because he wasn't ready, and he had zero touchdowns on the road, but End of the equation. I just can't stress with everything I've seen over two decades of calling games for this team. Do what this young man did with a virtual offseason memorizing things off Zoom for the first time in the history of the NFL and having no preseason games. And and being your first year it's to break two of three Randy Moss related rookie records and to break an 18 year old yardage record for rookie set by Anquan Boldin. With that virtual offseason. No preseason games are running back with 2000 scrimmage yards, another wide receiver with 14 touchdowns. Are you kidding me? That this is one of the great accomplishments I have ever seen calling Vikings games and if he doesn't win offensive rookie of the year, so be it..

"With all sorts of Fun. Interesting things. I don't know. I'd honestly I don't know. I might get hate mail. It might be a new old sock. It could be anything but I just want to see what people send in the mail. So I figured why not? Let's do it. I want a mailbox. Get a letter from somebody want to get in the business. Well, yeah, And then you tell him he told them no, don't. Well, honestly, I would love to take a time at some point. And set something up. Where, Because, for example, there's one There's a lot of people being a nationally syndicated show. You got a lot of people who run the board. And there are these different stations wherever you're listening across the country. There might be somebody at the radio station, the physical location of the station. Making sure this show plays. Those people are in the business, but want to go up in the business. Well, how do you grow? And if you're listening right now, you got a podcast. You want to get into sports broadcasting like I would love to talk to those people. I would love to do that. And I don't know if we just set up like a zoom call at some point, But, hey, it's it's 2021. It's a new vibe. We're going to do a lot of different things. And if people are interested in that hit me up, get me up on Twitter at its fins. Quinn if there's enough interest in that I'm happy to set something up. Talk to people that talk about the industry all that different stuff because I've been in it now. Since I got out of college, it's been about Eight years. Something like that. What's wrong with you people? Oh, yeah, There's a lot of things. There's a lot of things wrong with me. Now. I started giving out T shirts and bars and obviously, here I am so Yeah. If you're interested in you want that kind of thing again. I just got the mailbox going. I'm talking about going on tour. Now we're talking about setting up a zoom call to talk about the business. We're growing, Chris fo we've got failure. I'm not fat anymore. Okay? I'm a little chubby now, but I'm not like that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I used to be fat. I was fat in college. But now I've made some what's felt. Failure so that Zoe's the proper way to Tomo You're a clown. Well, okay, that's accurate. So 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. That's how he joined the show 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. I'm Vince Quinn here and the question I asked to start this whole thing. Sports Wise was I'm looking at all these teams. They're 10 and five and they're all fighting to get into the playoffs. Still on the A F. C, right. So you're looking at Let's see if I can do this again. You got the Dolphins won the Colts, the Browns? Ravens and the Titans. Bam! I did it, So you've got five different teams there and who's the most dangerous out of those five? Look at the Titans and I go. That's the team that I don't want to play. I know what all the hype is around the Ravens right now, and they're playing good football, but Looking Titans offense. It's gotten better. It's a unique thing that's hard to play against me. Think of the NFL today. We don't have massive linebackers anymore. You see linebackers like Dion Jones for the Falcons. He's would like to 42 45. It's a tiny linebacker for a middle linebacker. That's a small dude. Now he's a good player, but he's a small guy. Derek Henry's a very unique problem that very few teams are equipped to handle. I mean, the guy's over 100 yards a game he might hit two K this year. Like that's what we're looking at with Derrick Henry. That's a hard problem Self when you pair that with Tannehill with a J. Brown with Corey Davis, like there's enough things going on Johnny Smith, this fun for a tight end. Was enough things with the Titans that I go. You know what? They're dangerous team and when it comes playoff time, I don't want anything to do with him. I don't wanna line against line up against them at all. So 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 and I want to get to the Dolphins in just a minute. But first, let's go to Cody, who's in Philly? What's up, Cody? Yes. R a. U. D S Rod. This was our the Buffalo Bulls and the Tennessee Titan. Both of them are frauds. The Buffalo balls are a high scoring offense and they play nobody. The Tennessee Titans. Are you high scoring offense and they play Nobody. I'll say this. The Titans haven't played a lot of people. But the bills have played some quality games here, including that Steelers game just a couple of weeks ago. And they beat the Steelers pretty soundly like that's a notable win. The Bills beat the Seahawks earlier this year, so they beaten some decent teams. Then what is this serious Do that's four weeks They lost three out of four and had a miraculous comeback against the garbage colds. Philip Rivers melted down and so they should have lost the future West form wrote. Everybody knows that they were the worst 11, then no team and probably, and if it is, they were shaky. 11. No, I'll give you that. But it's not.

Fantasy Focus Football
Matthew’s top waiver wire adds are headlined by Dak Prescott, Josh Adams and Anthony Miller
"Match against the falcons, and I've got him a fifteen you've got him a ten. This is the ultimate matchup. It really is right now about as good of a match because you could find in the NFL. Yeah. Let's start there. Seven of the past e quarterbacks to face the falcons have finished QB nine or better. Unreal. Seven out of eight have been at least Cuba nine all have been top fifteen this season. Overall, seventy eight percent of quarterbacks facing the falcons have finished top ten that is worse than the NFL by far that rate for the falcons, they have just a livered to goods for opposing quarterbacks. Look at Dak Prescott and a little closer coming off a big game against the eagles, which I won't talk about specifically. But he's been a top eight fantasy quarterback during three of his past four outings is fourteen offensive touchdowns this season only five interceptions. And again, this is a run heavy. Cowboys offense. Yes, they've been for a long time. But it's not as run heavy. As they've been in years past throwing their little bit, more balanced. It's not like Seattle, which is full on running. It's a little more balanced. So that's a good sign. So I do I think he's the streaming option for sure this week. The only reason I have my reservations running back are nothing to counter what you said, Mike because you make very reasonable points there. It's merely this first of all he's got three rushing touchdowns in his last four games. So call point seven five rushing touchdowns per game. If you were to project him for more or less than that, it would be less. It would certainly be less. Yes. Sometimes when you watch Dak he's like the most frustrating player to watch with Rover. Right. Because like he's just not the most natural throwers in the NFL. And that's a very kind way of putting not generous. He's he's not. He's not a particularly good throw over the football. That's what it comes down to. He has been rather officiant recently though, over his past two games. And maybe it's it's a sm-. It's a small samples as what it really is. But if you want to buy into the Amari Cooper is helping him hype train sixty seven point seven percent completion percentage two weeks ago. Seventy two point two percent completion percentage this past week. And although he's been running the football really effectively. Terms of touchdown scored only twenty rushing yards over his past two weeks. So it's not like he's getting a bunch of designed read option attempts that we have seen in previous junctures of his career. You gotta eighteen point eight points verse for projected fantasy outlook this week. Put it. I'm gonna use them in a couple of nugget you. Yeah. I, you know, I'm sitting here talking to myself out of it. But I'm going to talk myself into it by Sunday morning. You're just gonna flip back and Watson that might be worrying that by the end of the week. It's just such a good matchup. And yes Dion Jones is coming back. But that that off which is great for that defense, but doesn't heal all the woes still obviously, no gala Nielsen Robert still no for karnal. Alan still a several other injuries that have decimated that defense so far this season you, and I are having a conversation about the show about like just the idea that like so much of our thought process has to be process over results and don't look backwards forwards but looking backwards at the Atlanta quarterback points allowed is impossible to ignore. I mean week two and on. Here's the number of points scored by opposing quarterbacks against the falcons twenty seven point six forty four point four twenty four point eight twenty one point three thirty point seven twenty point seven sixteen point four twenty two point six take away the best and take the worst. And it's all scores. North of twenty points. Yeah. So it's like, it's hard to mess up. Someone will at some point.
