"Do you think they all halfway back to London and they just do handbrake mutants? I said, I imagine they were all either on the train or down the pub at that point. Watching on their phones. I mean, it's not live football when you're getting beaten three Miller Anfield is just not that fun to watch. So been there. Done that. We will see. But it wasn't just Tottenham, we got back into the game. We also have to say that it's that Liverpool, I mean, believe me, I'm saying this as a Chelsea fan. We don't even school goals, so we don't have three nil leads. We're post girl. We had Chelsea rapist goals. Yeah, we're post. We're post all that scoring stuff. But it was odd to see Liverpool unable to defend in any way or to continue to play the football that they'd played to get there. And this has been sort of the mental weakness of Liverpool. It's just very un clock like. And then ritual lesson came on to booze and I tweeted odds the Richie as an Everton shirt on underneath his Tottenham one to reveal when he schools just for the bands. And we found out the answer. 93rd minute. Free kick, Sonny killed a Stirling in swinger four post Nunez crouching Tiger trying to clear it, but Richardson bravely put his head in there and kind of bounced that ball down and up into the net. Scenes, shirt off, no Everton shirt, not even Chang tattooed across his chest for all time sakes, but man, he may have only scored once this season for spurs in the Premier League and indeed, man has more yellow cards for excessive celebration than he does goals, but God did he make the most of it, David. There was the shirt off. There was the least slide. There was climbing onto the advertising. You know, are you not entertained shushing the fans? I can score. I was like, yeah, you scored once, Richie. You don't really shush the fans off to school and want to do and then Sony and Richie doing their chicken dance together. The forces of good and craziness melding. It was incredible. Then Lucas Mora ran over tries to put Richie shirt back on him, gfo P at D lust tweeted, Lucas was shouting. Get that shirt back on because I've got a horrendous backpack to make sure he can lose it. But there is a rule in football, right, David. After such an incredible emotional high, just an immense team achievement, the rule is, I think you may afford this one. Tottenham can't have nice things. Yeah, the only thing that would have made that goal celebration better, roger. When he pulled off the shirt, if one of the Brazilian legends on his back had been alesson, flailing and failing to stop the header into the ground that richarlison had just scored. You think Richie, I can imagine that Richie can get tattoos that quickly. Or maybe doing the chicken dance with sunny on his back would have been amazing. That would be on his lower thigh. I think the Ellison thing already on my teeth I have already the artwork of Alison flailing and probably imagining Richie probably has on this down below's Lucas mura doing that back pass to be completely the gate all of that David. That's his tramp stamp. Yeah, just 99 seconds late. What happened? Allison cleared the ball. Alice and cleared the ball from deep, Lucas Murray had been brought on to play wingback to get them back into the game. They're already back in the game and Lucas mura is still there playing wing back. Could have done so much more. Could it just booted the ball downfield? Could a light try to control it? No. Why would you do that either of those options? He could have tried to put a top bins in his own goal. He probably wouldn't have made it. He just, he just laid it back. I mean, the weight of that back pass. I mean, right into the schedule. Of Diogo Jota. It was just beautifully done. Searching Joseph. By the way, we're contractually obliged to know when you mentioned Jota for the first time, a player that arguably could have been sent off for a high boot earlier to Oliver skip's face, which casimiro, if you're listening, widow, you would have looked at and thought, my God, I'd get a straight red for that, but we digress. I mean, spurs fans already on one with Joseph. Charge forward. Just rifled at home. Just deliriously madly truly angled it. Superbly. It was a great finish. He had a lot to do. Still a very good assist from mura, but he had a lot to do. 5th goal in four games for Joseph football is amazing. This 99 second spell. Winston Churchill once said that nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result. And what we witnessed was spurs, experiencing that exact exhilaration, whether it's Allison goal. Only for the proverbial bullet to take a U turn. The head right back and slap them right in the ass. It was just an incredible and incredible rule of coaster of emotion, David. Yeah, it's like the old ladder sketch from Abbott and castella roger really just felt like the personification of that. What happens in that? Is there constantly turning around with the ladder and they duck to go and miss the ladder and they duck and miss it and then they stand up and they give themselves a little moment and then they'll add it comes back around and hits them in the back of the head. That's sort of my best description of it. It could have been the Keystone cops think it's Abbott and Costello could have been every single one of those black and white classics. I hate the term banz club. I really do. But balanced club. I mean, bad club. And Klopp could not contain himself. He's had a much publicized beef with match official Paul Tierney scandal. I think it's called some would call it undermining an official's integrity. I think if it came from a mouth other than Klopp's it would not be received. So respectfully, you might remember December 2021, another clash came during a dramatic two two draw also against spurs. Which clock marched up to Tierney and said, I have no problem with any referees only you. And on this day, post goal, it's an incredible moment. He charged down the sideline to give the fourth official a mouthful in that moment of victory and appeared to pull his hamstring in the process very weird variation on that cool and ambulance, but not for me. Meme. And this wasn't a good look for Klopp. It does fail, I'd say, what if that we call like the what if juice Mourinho did it test, right? I look for a big man for a giant man for a giant of the game for a man who is rightfully lauded for his qualities as a human and as a manager. He is occasionally capable of pettiness and poor behavior, which is up there with the Mourinho should be uttered in the same breath. It wasn't just he got in the face. He ran charged in the moment of celebrating his team win. He charged up to a fourth official who hasn't made a single decision in this game and gets right in his face and yells at him. You know, he is a man of God. He's an evangelical Christian. Jürgen Klopp in a vengeful God. And so the vengeful God did then strain his hamstring, no doubt, which he referred to after the game. And then he took it a step further because in the post match, he says that Paul Tierney, oh, but what the referee said to me, what the referee said to me in those moments, oh, I won't say, I can't say what it is, but what the referee said to me was way worse. I was punished for what I did to the assistant, meaning his hamstring as though the punishment by God was enough because of what happened to him. That's so crazy. But. What the referee said to me, oh, I can't even say in this moment. It is so petty. It is such pathetic behavior. I'm sorry, Liverpool fans, you're going to loathe me for saying this, but this is, this is this flip side of Klopp that is just, I don't know, it just is so distasteful after, by the way, I thought Liverpool got the better of the decisions in that game. I really, I think Ryan Mason had more justifiable wrath at the end of the game. Rotation didn't want to pull a hammock. I'm going to keep it in. I don't want that fake. I don't want that to happen.

"What? It's not to love. Okay, roger. Time for it. Let's have a toast out of you. Well, I'm raised this third first Bud Light the day to ipswich town. The mighty tractor boys on Saturday promoted from League One to the championship courtesy of a 6 to win over Exeter. Ipswich currently the hottest team in football unbeaten in 80 a club steeped in some of Britain's most beautiful agricultural landscape and a rich proud history. There are micro power in the late 70s and early 80s when there are perennial title challenges in the early Premier League days. They are back and do American ownership. The guys who also own Phoenix rising and it's magical to watch them give that fan base reason to believe once again after true. Half a decade of agony. And amongst her most loyal supporters, producer J dubs, who has followed the blue since his dad was a colonel stationed on an American air base in the 1990s, ipswich are then in the inaugural season of the Premier League and has stuck with them ever since, even as their trajectory has tails spun. And every time we mention them to anyone, he always just gets told, oh, ipswich. They used to be good, you know, and now he and every American ipswich fan can give up on that lifestyle of a patchwork of illegal streams in YouTube to try and find their team and revel in their weekly journey on the ESPN+ they'll have two games against regional rivals, Norwich City and probes, two games against Everton football club, ipswich, against Everton, almost certainly going to be the new el blaze Erica bring it on to ipswich where the party this weekend was at Napoli levels made the joy never stop. See, look how happy it switch are to be in the championship, roger. It's just depends on the way you view it. Oh my God. I'm talking less effective. You'll be slapping on me on the forehead as you patronize. No, I wasn't really about you. I'm just saying that many teams have so afraid of going into the championship and many fans and yet other fans it just interesting the way you look at it suddenly you're so excited to be in the championship and yet we build this whole narrative around fear. I wouldn't mind being in the championship. We might actually score some goals. Maybe two. Well, I've got to say Todd Burley listens to this podcast to educate himself about the Premier League, which I think probably is the bad idea. To do all the insane stuff that he's doing. But Todd, listen to this, make get your club into the championship. Parachute payments is how you can actually double revenues. I think he's been working on this all season, rod. I think he's doing a very good job. Some of that sweet Paris you pay money. Okay, roger to the football, which was, there wasn't a lot of it, but it was extraordinary this weekend, even during this you have to see it to believe it season. This one seemed just insane. Liverpool four Tottenham three. The red steam out to a three zero lead in the first 15 minutes behind goals from Curtis Jones. Lewis Diaz and his first start since returning from that knee injury and mo Salah, but they then allowed Tottenham to get off the mat and score three of their own, including a 93rd minute richarlison equalizer, unveiling the back tattoo of all time, but just 99 it was like it was a novel, roger. I'm pretty sure that back tattoo had himself resplendent already somehow on his back after scoring the equalizer for Tottenham against Liverpool somehow that whole scene was already inked on. It was like watching himself in a mirror of mirrors. It was truly incredible, but perceived I was trying to name all the other players at one point I thought I saw Wayne Rooney on it, but just 99 seconds later. No matter how good the Tati was is this, everybody just looks like seconds later down the other end. Diogo Jota hammered Homer winner after a wonderful Lucas Murray assist that sent the Anfield faithful interruptions and saw Jürgen Klopp do his pants in excitement right in front of the fourth official. Liverpool win their fourth straight and leapfrog spurs interfere. Oh my God. By the way, that back tattoo. I actually know this because I talked to a hung song about it. I believe he's got the Pantheon of Brazilian greats on his back who are Ronaldo, Pelé, and then himself because he says I inspire myself, which is very instead of martyr, which is an interesting choice. I think he's read Brendan Rodgers autobiography about inspiring yourself, but godspeed and God bless what an incredible are you not entertained? Movement and we know how that ended up for Russell Crowe as it did for top them ahead of this one. We're all like, which Tottenham is gonna show up as they just battle back against man united midweek, unveiling to the world that there is such a thing as the new interim to the interim manage about two new and the Ryan Mason. And we were like, God, who will turn up this time with the B will it be terrible spurs? Will it be? Will it be great, but it ultimately and we didn't know at the time. It would be both. All of them. The whole season would play the pangea of spurs. They took the field and feel the place where they'd just once in 28 games and from the off, I think it took just a 167 seconds. His team would leak 5 quickly against Newcastle league too quickly against Manchester United 167 seconds they held out before a haymaker of a first home cross to the back post from suddenly we all agree it meant again Trent Alexander Arnold in rush Curtis Jones, back post, 6 assists for Trent since he became hybrid, midfield Trent, and has Peter drury roared and filled the sound of Anfield beginning to believe again awful and make a wish stuff everyone on Liverpool is now growing most Alec kills and everyone is benefiting from it Jones coming for the first time since September 2021. And then within three seconds, I think give or take it would get worse for spurs 6 minutes. Lewis Diaz scored on his first start since October back from a long, long win injury, incredible goal, leaping to extent behind him, volley lash pass forster, not just poor defending in the most basic way by says, David mentally, at the beginning of games, we've seen three times this week. Spurs are even present. They're just mentally, they're not there at all. Yeah, they couldn't hang with Liverpool at all, as you said, number 66 TAA playing in that central midfield role. And then rushing back to go and play right back. When he does have the pull, but he was just bossing the entire game from the middle of the park and just move off the move after move and cutting spurs open, who, you know, the one thing they just forgot to do in those first 15 minutes, roger was run, running, didn't seem to come very naturally. To these mistakes to make early athletes.

"With Bloomberg stand Schwartzman and Dan, I know you want to talk about Manchester City now. I'm getting up to the top of the Premier League, but I got to say, go warrior sorry, local tomboy. What a game Steph Curry 50 points. Yeah, it was an amazing game. Really into the basketball because we had two local teams in action warriors and also the Knicks opening up their series against the heap of Manchester City. Now atop the Premier League table of two to one win over Fulham in London, city overtakes arsenal in the table by one point for the Gunners also having played one more match. Ellen Holland scoring his ridiculous 50th gold to season on the fountain of third minute, which now gives a 22 year old 34 league goals that ties Alan Shearer and Andy Cole for mostly goals in a season. Liverpool moving ahead of Tottenham in the 5th place in the league table a four to three win over the spurs of Anfield Diogo Jota scoring the winner four minutes into stoppage time. The reds who originally led a three goal lead slip away are now 7 points behind Manchester United for fourth place although man U.S. played one for your match. Speaking of man you, they get past Aston Villa one zero Newcastle knocking off Southampton three to one. Give it a lead table set an aptly placed salerni tanda a one I'll draw event discipline and also in a one all draw. It was a warriors of one 20 to 100 win over the kings and Sacramento. They win that series four games to three. Nick's news game one of the Eastern Conference Semifinals one a week to one to one at home to the heed NHL 1650 to go in the first ruins and panther scoreless in Boston. That's series surprisingly tied at three games apiece. I'm Dan schwarzman that your Bloomberg world sports update, Brian. Daniel, thanks very much. Let's get to Matt monks. Bloomberg team leader for U.S. deals, the story of the day, U.S. regulators really looking to resolve the first republic bank issued today on a Sunday, there's all kinds of possibilities, Matt O to be a fly on the wall in the discussions is much coming out at all. What do we know from the action today? So I just had one of my colleagues in New York just emailing me a couple of minutes ago and he said, the suspense is killing me. And I have to agree with him. We don't know what's happening right now. So earlier today, the FDIC submitted a final bids for first republic, the alien, the alien bank that's been kind of lagging out there for about 6 weeks now. We've reported that JPMorgan Chase, PNC financial citizens financial bank of American U.S. Bancorp had been asked a bid. We have reported that Bank of America and U.S. bankrupt opted not to proceed. So we can deduce that maybe those three others are still there. And right now, I mean, our understanding is that they don't know who's won either because the FDIC hasn't made up its mind. I think it's sorting through the bids right now and it's making a decision on whether it can get there with someone or if it can't get there with anyone and have to come up with another solution. What kind of money are we talking about here and Madeline to the peace where he sort of backed out things out of the balance sheet and looking up at the idea that there might be just more than $200 billion worth on the balance sheet given how interest rates have moved since first republic issued these loans, these low interest rate loans that there's a mountain of on the balance sheet, are there actual sort of substantial figures being thrown around here or is taking? Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, there's a lot of figures out from there. So first republic it's about a 200 billion asset bank. It's got about a 170 billion in loans, primarily about a 100 billion of those are mortgages. So that's the assets. And then it's got some securities, about $35 billion of securities. And then on the deposit side, we don't exactly know how many deposits it has. A bunch of large banks pumped in 30 billion deposits were pretty sure that those are still there, but a lot of other deposits have run off. In terms of what the numbers are being thrown around and what this thing is actually worth, it's kind of hard. And I won't bore you with the details that when it failed bank goes into auction. You don't actually pay a price for it. It really comes down to it's almost like a reverse Dutch auction. The bidders actually bid, how do I explain this? How much money the least amount of money they're willing to make on the deal? Because when you take these assets onto your balance that you do so at a discount and that discount becomes profit and that profit that we're talking about here that the banks could make, if it's in line with what we've seen with some of the other financial failures that we've had, we're talking 20 billion, maybe 30 billion. I know it's a little complicated, but that's kind of the way you think about it. You know, we're smart here. People with the boring details about banks. Well, what I'm curious about is, you know, JPMorgan obviously is one of the big money center banks and obviously is probably one of the strongest positions of any bank in the country, if not the world. PNC financial kind of like a super regional, what from a product mix and a customer mix geographically and otherwise, what looks to be the best fit. I could go for either one. This customer base is one of the best customer bases in banking. Well to do individuals that took out mortgages at low rates and then put their deposits in. It's a really wonderful client base that any bank would be happy to have. P and C and JPMorgan Chase, which already does a lot of business with wealthy people. So it actually lined up perfectly with both of them. The question is, with JPMorgan Chase, we'll regulators let two big to fail bank get even bigger. And to even do a deal like this, it has to have the deposit cap lifted. It's got pretty much 10% of the country's deposits already. It's going to have to get special permission to get some more. We'll see if they are indeed in the mix still. If the government is going to let them do that. All right, well, Bonnie did you want to pop a quick question in before? Well, I was just going to say what kind of OCC action we need to see in order to get to allow JPMorgan get bigger. And I mean, is that wise? Yeah, that's

"Or wondery app. Fulham two leads one, the most American game in English football with four Americans. Among the 22 starters and while the bright Anthony Robinson Jedi and sagacious Tim ream are playing out what's been a season of wonderful Fulham. The leads boys came in desperate for points and after a pretty dire first half. It was Fulham, who took the lead going up to nil behind goals, Rubik's Cube Roberto Carlos Anthony Robinson helped create a great game from him here, roger leads pulled one back later on, but it's not enough. They've lost three on the bounce and are now just one point clear of the bad place. The American bowl full America against Major League Soccer, gfo P at Buddy Guy called this game, Civil War two, electric boogaloo. And lead entered at the drop zone by just two point 16th place shipping goals 11 the last two games had won just 7 times all season, whereas Joyce Fulham dropping off a bit and went at home since February 28th and on the civil tepid game of football, one team who wasn't interested in really getting out of second gear against one, not physically or mentally evidently able and the game came to life in the second half Anthony Robinson, that great scouts American claps the leads backline, slipped the ball out to Willian, slept in across melies flap tat, self destructively, and Harry Wilson made his body late marital alleys and lashed at home. Fans immediately from the lead end started the target. The owners and the board for their decision making chants of we want ought to out the director of football and sack the board came out loud and long with the forty-niners San Francisco forty-niners said to be poised to activate their takeover of the club. But to that point, David, such a little fight for me to really remarkable, they seem so Sean of both creativity and confidence. It's quite remarkable to me because you look at the you look at the numbers of players on leads roster in their squad who have just match winning ability who have sort of electric speed electric pace and I'm just surprised that really under successive managers, they're still struggling to really get in there and fight in the way that we know they're capable of. Fulham extended the lead Anthony Robinson aachen and a cross melier again fell to deal with it under pressure, Pereira and more walks, slammed it over to a vacant net late scrappy leads goal. Own goal caused by bamford gave Lee taupe, false hope, full of complete a first league double over lead since 1960, when leader also relegated from the top flight and three weeks ago, have Y Gracia, the leads manager being hailed by Leeds fans as possibly a new bielsa. Since then, zero points in 9 goal difference it's been decimated for defeats in the last 5. Leeds faced less to Tuesday than Bournemouth at the weekend. This is a season because city Newcastle, West Ham and spurs after that. And David the Premier League relegation race to which become hoping that other teams are going to help you out because you know you just know, no matter who you supporting at the bottom, it's almost as if you're not going to help yourself out before a ball has been kicked. Yeah, it's very interesting. Four teams certainly the teams through 16th and 19th fighting to not be the two who end up in the bad place, roger talking of Liverpool three, Nottingham Forest two of Diogo Jota, twice put the reds ahead off set pieces, only to see struggling, desperate for points Nottingham Forest. Playing like a true team trying to get out of the bad place, draw level off throw ins, but in the 70th minute as he's done so many times before most Salah latches onto TAA dead ball great goal for the winner. Liverpool win back to back games and move up into 7th forest, meanwhile. Now winless in 11, four straight league losses. They are a point from safety, but they're in 19th place. I'm old enough to remember. When forest produced that best performance of the season, beating Liverpool one zero at a delirious city ground. So the first visit to Anfield in 25 long years mixing it up, they started Taiwan centrally, that meant dropping talisman Brennan Johnson to the bench and it ultimately didn't really matter would barely have touched the ball anyway in that first half in which Liverpool had 86% of possession but couldn't summon the finish of a huge cheers in that first half by the forest fans when their team so much as well a bloody goal kick. And that forest joy lasted until a minute into the second half Trent corner, head tennis, Diego Jota, opened the scoring. A Liverpool just couldn't control the game at all. Forest are struggling yes, but still resilient. And within four minutes, once a red Nico Williams lash town deflector for long range refused to celebrate, but still got a kiss on the mail for Morgan Gibbs white. You would, though, wouldn't you? Yeah. And the game, you would. You would. The game faster, more furious and bloody diesel within four minutes, jyoti again. Stunning finish. This David, this guy, he plucked the ball from outer space, pivoted, touching knee keeping up his I swear David as he did this. I've watched a hundred times. I believe he detached his upper torso from his lower one. Like as if David Copperfield had saw in his body in half on stage in Vegas, it was magic. Yeah, sometimes when I'm watching elite players warm up before games I'm in stadium, I can't believe that we don't see more goals like this because they're able to keep the ball up, run with it, jog with it, hit perfect passes, receive it, keep it up, lodge it off their shoulder onto their knee onto their both feet and perhaps a chest in the middle of all of that. And this was one of those goals that delivered on that promise and it was absolutely great to watch and seeing Diogo Jota being back for Liverpool I mean reds fans must be loving every second of it. Jen had not scored in 32 games. He now had four in two, but again, Liverpool could not help, but buckle to the most basic rudimentary attack, the long throw. Critic, I don't know why more teams don't do this. Credit Morgan Gibbs white kept his eye on the ball loop down off big verge's panics half clearance, bludgeoned at home. Again, for a little deflector, really an exclamation point finish. There was like a kick in the down below. Even for me, because watching Everton cheering for Liverpool, that is what it has come to for me. That's who I am now. And how we dance both reds and blues, another set police goal, third on the day, rhythm of the game, most Salah, getting ahead of his defender to stab home, yet another delicious Trent Alexander Arnold, three kick in that new hybrid midfield role we've been begging for it. He's delivering Trent for assist in his last three games, more assist he's had in the rest of the season. Trend Alexander Arnold, he is risen. Had his position moved around, he's being given a bit more freedom to drift inside and this seems to have gotten his assist game back. And yeah, that delivery to most Salah for the winner was absolutely superb. Credit forest. They never dropped their heads finished with 5 attacking players flinging long throw after long

"Portugal 6 Luxembourg now is how it finished on Sunday Cristiano Ronaldo with two goals in that tie and how apt he would score Mark. You of course have been writing about this saying basically how he's never going to give up. Yeah, I mean, after the world, a couple of things, a lot of us might have thought that Ronaldo would end his time with Portugal either by charizard, but by finished by the new manager, but Roberto Martin has just kept him on. And I was kind of surprised that he's done that in the sense that you're almost keeping a problem on. But he's got two goals in two games. Sorry, four goals in two games, but against Lichtenstein, lots of books. So what does that say about Ronaldo? But he says it scores lots of goals against teams that have very good. But he's got 198 appearances now. Is he keeping him onto a place 200 as a kind of salad respect to Ronaldo to let him play the two more games to get to do the first international plan to get 200 appearances. We don't know because if you keep scoring goals, then you keep them on for the Euros, don't you? So he is a remarkable character. A 122 goals now is 23 ahead of massive. And that for me is one of the reasons why I want to carry and play because I don't think message is going to get 23 instead international goals and I think that's probably a stretch too far, but Ronaldo will be thinking, well, let's just get a few more to make sure they never catch his men. I've got this record forever. So, but you can't knock his record. He's 38, 39 of the Euros comes around. He's playing Saudi Arabia. That might really help him extend his international career in terms of rest and recuperation, but you can't knock his record. I mean, that's a 122 international goals. That's more than twice what Harry Kane's got. And Harry Kane has just broken English records. So it's an amazing statistic and he's been an amazing play. I mean, you can't knock his record. I don't think anybody is. But you can tell there was a butter coming. Well, we talked about it, talked about it a few days ago. Roberto Martinez, you can knock him. Right. It's okay. Ronaldo was still playing for Portugal. He scored goals, Luxembourg and who was collecting stations. Left now, as people forgotten, he was off the piece at the World Cup. And that is one of the reasons he was dropped. For the light from Benfica. Two years down the line, that's continues. He's an even bigger problem. This is a kick in all of this. This is the same manager. I don't have the stomach to drop Eden eyes out. So if he keeps playing them, he's given Ronaldo this hope. Two years down the line. I'm still going to be leading the line for Portugal. Who's that going to go for Roberto Martinez? Right. Because there's no way he can play and be I don't care. Plenty of Saudi Arabia going to be 40 around that. Nobody else in the tournament will have a player even close to that. So Roberto Martinez, yes, let's get up to 200. Let's do this. Let's do that. At some point, if ports are going to be successful, it's going to have to just go out. This is what we discussed, wasn't it? Okay, you bring him in, sentimentality means that he'll break the record, get some goals, but now what? Now it's big boy time when you Roberto Martinez and decide what you're going to do. Well, yeah, but at the same time, when somebody regardless of regardless of the opposition, it's called full goals and two games. How are you going to, how do you turn around to them in the next game? And say, you're not playing, particularly if it's Ronaldo. So you say, he doesn't have a note. He says, look, I'm brought in here to take Portugal forward and build for the future. And what you've done is amazing, but you are not. You are the future. I have the same time at the same time, are you going to need disrespect them by Tom and renaissance and by the way, I just played you because to get you the record, which is by some of the reasons. I mean, how disrespectful is that going to sound from hemp from Martin. So what do you do? When you got the job. You should have called him up when he got the job and said, I couldn't because of the situation. Well, if he could. He couldn't. I'm not buying that. Well, he shouldn't be. I don't disagree with that. It's a column up and make a big decision. It's like a hole. Jan, would you like to upset the Internet and get involved? Yes, I would like to get upset because I would like to have an opinion on it because I think that Martinez when he took that Portugal job Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the guys who hired him. I think that his power of football is that big. There was no chance that Martinez will come there, call the Ronaldo and say you have to retire. There is no chance, there's another another is bigger than the Portuguese football. I'm not talking about is this right or wrong. I'm just saying there is no chance that Martinez would take this job maybe this is an agreement, maybe they will find a way. Do I think that kusano is sensible to understand that the whole is that he's getting slower? No, I don't think so. But I think that Roberto Martinez, he knew what it took. That was a part I'm not saying that it's a close in his contract, but it's as close as you get that Cristiano Ronaldo will at least play there to the Euros. 100% sure of that. So that the point that the Martina should take the job and say, listen, 'cause I don't know the one play for Portugal again. He won't get 200 games. He won't get a scoring in these kind of games. Maybe Christina Rodriguez or sensible to say they're all games as he could start on the bench. I'm just saying maybe. The most there must have been concessions. I mean, Martin has exactly. How would you get the Portugal job? It was a big job, a lot of talented players, a lot of young talented players, how would you get that job off the back of Belgium being so bad? At the Euros. Why would you take the jobs of what jans correct? Why does anybody take a job? We're not part of the deal. But a guy who you know is going to be causing problems probably because he's never going to be able to keep playing. And you think that's okay and you take a job known that. What sort of guy does that? I throw back to Martinez. There you go. As I said, that says more about Martinez and else, if you're going to take a job. I mean, that desperate for a job that you'll take it. Well conditions. We should have said good job. It's because he's weak. And he showed his weakness and his team selection at the World Cup and that was part of the problems that were caused and the Belgian dress, not the only thing, but I'm sure it was a big part of it when the de Broglie who complained about the age of some players and one or two other stars and that Belgium sailors saying hazards playing Andy's captain is just weak and if he's going to support people at the power to make the big decisions, that's just weak again. Just a reminder, if you have a so I just said the problem is as well. It's not like you need to know though. You've got gel Felix, Diogo Jota, raffia Lao. You've got Michelle Obama. They've got a lot of good Fox Woods who are getting more and more irritated by the fact they're not playing because Ronaldo is so it could build for the future now, but he liked the guy who says creating a problem down the line because he's indulging Ronaldo. So if they didn't have any strikers fair enough, but they got really good ones. Just to remind him Mark Ogden is on Twitter, Instagram, MySpace, Friends reunited. If you'd like to talk to him about his Ronaldo views, which I'm sure Ronaldo fans will.

"Points off the top four. Feisty game, a lot of beef in both benches full and worked hard to come back from a goal down. Lot of tigi will rue the way aside seeded that lead, mitrovic struggling, hamstring problem, 7 games now about a goal for that giant wardrobe, Fulham, had to rely on a new hero a rise, man or Solomon, third game on the trot, first Israeli to do that three consecutive Premier League games with a goal since the iconic Ronnie Roosevelt in 1992, Google M you won't be sorry. But man or Solomon, the negev dagger who has had to battle back from injury over the last four months, super subbed. Cutting for the left, one of those goals where you always see the goal before the player even pulls his foot back to shoot the ball and watching out unfold almost seems like you're doubling the thrill. God bless Anthony Robinson should be noted, should get an assist for winning that ball back, scouts American ferocity bodied ray, despite giving up a hundred pounds on a bottle of baby oil on the man. We had a letter from a Fulham that sums up the mood around craven cottage in this incredible season. Can you do the honors? Yes, longtime friend of the pod, first time with a question he writes. I'm truly stumped. I've been a supporter of Fulham for the last 20 years. So I know one truth. We will be relegated at the end of the season. But as we continue to pick up points, I am stumped as to how it will actually happen. Break in the time space continuum, sinkhole under craven cottage, please help me with my question, how will Fulham end up being relegated in May this time? Thanks and courage, Adam, in Portland, Maine. God bless you, Adam, and Portland made. And I'll say so many haters would have doubted this Fulham would get 39 points by the end of the season. They've done it now within 25 games. Huge tribute to Marco Silva and the immense job he's done. Just save it every second now to import the main that beautiful, beautiful, beautiful city. We'll get a bagel at rose's bagels. I know I wish I was in your town, but Fulham fans, my lord. I've got this after all the suffering the last two relegations you deserve every single moment from West London to south of the river for Crystal Palace nil Liverpool nail the reds lick their wounds after the 5 two Champions League humbling at the hands of Real Madrid and come in for a game that was essentially a 90 minute crossbar challenge Diogo Jota, mosala, and Jean Philippe mateta all rattle the frame, but to no avail, Liverpool's momentum for a top four place stalls as they fall 9 points behind spurs. Yeah, Liverpool listing and desperate to keep the fantasy, the slender hope of a top four push. After that 5 two obliteration, humiliation. Just devastation in front of their own fans silent and field at the end of that Real Madrid masterclass and we all tune in for this one almost like psychology students. About to do a controlled test, akin to like the Stanford prison experiment 1971. How exactly does a proud team follow up their worst home European defeat in club history? When you're much ballyhooed revival, let only to humiliating devastation when that transfer window in the summer feels as far away as the finish line to a long distance swimmer is exhausted. Will Jude Bellingham answer the bat signal being emitted in panic for more points around Anfield and on the C Dave, we didn't learn a lot in this one. It was good to see Diogo Jota return to make his first stop since October, but this was against palace, no wins in 2023, and Liverpool still seemed meek and fearful palace once he had the biggest chance his booth felt a mateta, who was gifted a sloppy back pass by truly floundering Trent, bewildered Allison came up big to smother, Trent then left out on the plate for another mate a miss Liverpool didn't I mean, they looked like they're still rocked by Tuesday, David just sodden, traumatized, mistake ridden football. Yeah, I mean a hard place to play at Crystal Palace at selhurst park. Towards the end of winter, when you're struggling for a little bit of form, palace always make it hard on you and Liverpool, I think ultimately they will look back at this and think this was not a bad result after their humiliation midweek that was humbling for the club. And difficult for the manager to even process what has gone up there. There was an incredible moment in the game, which really summed up Liverpool's season to a T, free kick, dangerous spot, edge of the palace area, mosella, back hill it to set up Trent to slash the ball straight past the wall. It was flying into the goal, but who blocked it certain Liverpool goal. Hendo, he kind of jumped up. It wasn't clear if he was jumping up to get to the ball if he was falling out of a building, and it was just an accident. Haters would say, hendo is finished, but it just seemed like fog of war just an allegory for Liverpool season a little extraordinary palace looked hungrier faster, more athletic little just looked ordinary, mortal, seen fillers, he can't quite understand how it's come to this. Final whistle almost a relief that it did bring loss with it. This was a massive point for palace, fairly useless one for Liverpool in terms of their needs. We are in the last four or 5 years said big verge. We are spoilt winning all the trophies that are available. This is true. So he said to have this bumpy season is a shock for everyone. We need each other. That's what it's all about. Everyone was there when we won. Everyone needs to be there now. Why is words? Okay, here we go. Everton nil, Aston Villa two coming off last week's win over leads that had you and Martin Scorsese flying high, your mob.
