"The journey of reap listener go sign up today. And don't miss another edition of the inside. Look you've talked a little bit about how you wish. Sometimes that you spent that time in prayer and that preparing yourself for what was to come might have helped to bring some of that piece. Yes and then you've you've quoted some scripture and i think that sometimes especially as moms we can feel like i am so busy i don't have time for my faith which is why maybe you know. We go to wednesday night. Bible study or we go to sunday morning because we feel like at least. That's on the schedule. And i can drop my kids off at childcare and now i don't have anything to think about but god but then that means that we're really only engaging with him and his word once maybe twice a week and that's it and if we think of god's word as food that's not enough and we're if we're to think about god being like a friend that's not enough you know if you need to foster that relationship so how is it that we can keep a fun household still. Get everything done that. We need to but still find time for that. That faith peace and while you're saying get everything done that we need to also just want to say. We have to pray that our expectations to all right and the seasons that we're living in and as we involve our kids in the teamwork we a lot of times. I do find that moms. I personally don't have a problem. Not a perfectionist. Thank thank fully okay with this. If other people will do the jobs. I'm generally okay with. However it's done i try to teach them how to i'm. I'm okay. I know a lot of moms i work with are so they want it done this this this yeah well. I went to ask at the expense of what like what this is a season. So lowering those expectations letting other people help in then so getting everything. Done that address that but as far as spending time. It's absolutely vitally important that we have the holy spirit failing us each day empowering us being a mom is one of the hardest most thankless jobs. Especially when they're little. I know some people love that phase. I didn't ever. I always enjoyed them. The older they get the more. I enjoy them. Okay the the little when. They're toddlers and their undoing everything that you've just done. Yes what's that phrase. Phyllis diller said like cleaning house when your children are young is like shoveling snow in a blizzard. Oh totally related with that and so realizing lowering our expectations and then realizing that we have to have god's grace on us we have to..

"Equated they not do that today and it but it's like what gets out of bed to go do that because you're exactly right five minutes next to huge difference. Is i hurt tomorrow. And that's that's really the bottom line you have to do these little consistent things. And it's just a factor life as we get older because our bodies change things change even a few minutes. something some little change that your routine. You pay huge dividends and your long-term ability to keep doing this at whatever level. you're looking at. I mean the this is no different than lots of people heard the stuff about mab in how as he got closer forty. He like totally revamped his entire train. Plan to do what you really focus on recovery stuff in. It extended his career by how many years i mean. He's an elite athlete. Like think of just a few like five minute things that we can do. What a second make. Yeah totally totally. And i mean going back to keep a real in your lying in bed saying. Why didn't i do that. Like i went to a physical therapist. You have had some problems with my knee to him yesterday. And he's like well how you doing. And i was like what still hurts. He's like what are you doing. Well i have..

Knee starts to talk to me or my right heel hurts or my calf suddenly seizes up I haven't stepped into a pothole or otherwise. You know run into a dog or something like that like nothing that it's like clearly like oh i that's how i hurt myself. What do i do. should. I keep running. Do i stop running like if you're in my shoes or a listeners. In my shoes christy. What do you recommend okay. So sometimes that can be the sign of actual injury. Sure but sometimes it's just information in his just your body telling you like oh. Maybe you didn't drink enough water before you ran in. Your calf is cramping dehydrated so it. It's not always necessarily an injury. So what i usually say is if you can run through it in. It's it's not sharp stabby pain like you really feel like you're doing yourself and you keep going you can keep going You can always take a break and off break and just walk it out a little bit. Sometimes that'll be enough for it. Sometimes you start In you go back to trying to round and you're like nope that is not happening. Okay then you need to stop but if it's if it's more dull nature and is just kinda there. It's not really getting worse. Not really getting better. But it's not changing. You can usually run through them. Okay and what about. If i it's dullish but i'm maybe changing my gate or i'm slowing down quite a bit to baby or something like that. If i'm aware of that which i realized might be kind of a second level consciousness but do i need to stop then. Even if i feel like i could power through it Not necessarily if. I the slowing down part to me. That's not stressful. Because again it could just be a information that you're getting that day and you may be able to go out a few days later and maybe totally fine if you feel like you're if you're limping or you're really having to adjust how you're running then you need well. I shouldn't say you need to stop. You should stop. how about that. Yeah there are plenty of people that wouldn't in done that myself. Many times are paid for it. Big time down the road. So yeah i mean if you've got to change what you're doing in terms of like you're limping or basically lumping. Because i think if you have to slow down that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you can do an easy run and finish it off then okay. Maybe you really shouldn't be doing something faster right

"But it's one that can actually help you stay running consistently and healthily for a long time to come and yes healthily is a word i just made it up in it and it worked well on the sentence so there you go. We are going to talk about injuries what you can do when you feel a stabbing your knee a niggling calf an ache in your lower back because when you actually pay attention to that injury and just keep running and wish it away you could actually minimize. It's impact on your running. And that is the gift is that you get to keep moving forward and not get sidelined by injury. Elon Musk Teases Tesla AI Day for Summer 2021

"Now we're here today. We're gonna be talking about some recent. Us tweets about tests a day. Looks like we may have a tentative date for when that maybe scheduled we'll talk about what to expect for that event we've also got a little bit of an update on the model s. next refresh and a couple of other stories as well. Quick look at the stock tesla today finished up nine tenths of a percent to seven hundred and thirty eight dollars five cents that did trail slightly behind the nasdaq up. One point three percent and volume really fell off today for tusla about twenty seven and a half million shares traded today versus the pretty high volumes. We had yesterday and the day prior yesterday. Of course we did have that coin based direct listing. So i know a lot of people like to take a look at what is doing what they're trading. They did sell off some tesla yesterday. That always seems to get a little bit of attention on social media but definitely a normal process for arc. Tesla's diller top holding in many funds it has risen above ten percent in some of those funds and generally when that happens arc tends to sell down a little bit and on the coin based point arctic initiate positions there across funds at about zero point seven five percent weight so selling tesla would help provide liquidity for that new position. So nothing too surprising there. I just wanted to point out because again it gets talked about. And that may have been a little bit of pressure on tussle in general yesterday as tesla had a tougher day arc. Probably not the only one to make a move like that all right with that being said let's get into ai elon. Musk caddy number of tweets yesterday about tesla and their progress in artificial intelligence. He kicked it off by noting. That quote tesla ai. Slash autopilot engine team is making excellent progress solving real world. Ai and quote he followed that up with a number of tweets some of which related to full self. Self-driving the beta button. We'll get to those in a second but he also responded to a question asking. When can we expect a day. Yulon said probably late july so first thing there anytime we have a timeline from and we got to be cautious on that he saying probably here so be a little bit more cautious. Even this is an event so it is a little bit more up to tesla when they hold this. But i would assume they wouldn't want to hold an event like this until the fd beta is broadly released.

Ben Silverman - Ececutive Producer of The Office

"How did you discover the uk version of the office. I was at my friend. Henrietta conrad's house. I was not an agent. I had left being an agent where i had found everything from who wants to be a millionaire to cracker queer as folk and had translated them into america as the packaging agent and i laughed. Backed by barry diller to start my own company called rally and i had just begun reveling in win over to london for a work trip and was staying at my friend. Henrietta conrad's house and we were watching television. And i was literally flipping the channels and i came on to the office. This is episode one or two okay of the uk season one office. Wow and i was watching it. I wondering if it was for comedy or for real than quickly recognized what it was doing single camera no laugh track faux documentary with people who felt real and i kept watching and started laughing. And it's really hard to make me laugh. And i was falling in love with the show in that moment and then i started thinking about it the next day in the morning and i asked henrietta if she knew ricky gervais as and she said no but her friend dan. Mazer did and we organized and had dinner with dan that night. Which are twenty four hours after you after you see it for the first time on television. You're having dinner with someone who could get you to ricky. Yes and additionally. I also wanted to be with dan. Dan was sasha baron. Cohen's partner allergy was on television. Was allie ardor your then no in the uk okay. But i'm with dan mazer yep. Dan is lovely brilliant in his own. Right and i start peppering questions about the office. And he gives me ricky cell phone number and so the next day. I call ricky around eleven o'clock in the morning and introduce myself on the phone and say i'd love to meet you. Are you in town. He goes actually. Yes me in soho at the starbucks this afternoon and i coordinate a meeting and i spent an hour with ricky talking about the office and very quickly we got along because we both love television and he truly was making me laugh even in those moment right over over the coffee at starbucks and so he clearly had chosen the location of the starbucks because he then says to me oh good news. My agent is right around the corner. Let's go meet with them so it was almost like he met me confirmed. I was okay roy. Conversation was interesting and then we walked over and met with dunkin' as his agent. And then duncan and i began a three month process to secure the rights. And it wasn't until dunkin. Help me unlock it. All that i realized. Both the bbc and ricky controlled the rights. I needed ricky and stephen merchant to actually get it done and agitate to get it done otherwise. It was never going to get done. Got it so you you deal with the bbc. And you deal with ricky steven. You have this partnership in place and where do you go into the united states. I immediately start making phone calls and saying. Are you aware of the show the office. Do you know what it is. Do you think it would interest you. And this is probably now a month after are so run. The show has started to gain buzz. It's aired its cycle in the uk. Its initial six episodes and so it has an awareness. Now it's a thing right not a big thing but to anyone in england it in the television industry. You're aware so. I'm i'm back at the states reaching out to people one of the incredible things about hollywood which was a huge advantage for me to do. Well was that people in hollywood are pretty insular and don't like to travel. They think you need a passport to get from burbank to beverly hills. That is travel and so many people at this time in american television had no clue connection about anything beyond la. Right and only one exac at the time knew what i was talking about was a guy named nick grad. Who worked at fx and he knew what the show was and he loved the show. Kevin riley was running fx. At the time. I'd gone to less mooned us he passed. I went to gail berman. She passed immediately. Didn't get it. Hbo said we'll never do a remake. They clearly have altered that thinking that that time they were like. We won't do a format and showtime wasn't doing shows like this right. I didn't go to abc. 'cause i just knew it wasn't abc. Right and i was starting to tease. Nbc with it and kevin than got named the head of nbc. And i bring it up to him. And i say would you wanna do it here and kevin says absolutely little. Did he know he was actually my only buyer that time. He was the only one right who wanted everyone else. All of television everyone else had passed. Now are you in kevin's like let's do it. Like let's let's make it. You know i'll give you a pilot movement and then kevin's boss though. Who is very involved in his life. Jeff zucker didn't really like it that much because it was his single camera. Nola back injury. I got it like it was a hard pill for them to swallow. I was also like they didn't want the game show back in prime time when i brought millionaire. Everyone thought that was cheesy. Daytime like no no. This will change. Tv know you gotta look at it from how to push the genre and pushed the envelope. So that you can expand versus always play for defense right and i was like this is another level and this is potentially transformative of television and with that can come great great

"Plus kids like crude jokes. Those are the two selling points again. Three Stigmata meeting Kids show in Denmark about a guy with the world's longest and most skilled, You know what protein? This? This is so amazing. I mean, this is just so amazing. We're going to talk to One of the hosts of Nickelodeon, and there's absolutely no way in the states. Nickelodeon is airing a cartoon or, in this case, a claymation it kind of looks like the Rudolph the red Nosed reindeer kind of claymation. About a guy named Diller Monde. Who's Diller? Monde does superhuman things And he gets into crazy, weird situations because of the dealer Monde is out of control. Like I'm watching an episode. Now once you sent the story, I'm like I got to see this thing. He uses his dealer monde to light his barbecue on fire, and he pours too much gasoline again. His dealer monde picks up the gasoline pours it on the charcoal lights the match and then it gets burned, and he goes scurrying away. And that's the joke. He also is pulled in all directions because he's using his dealer, Mont to walk his dogs. It was just getting pulled by this thing now, the way that they portrayed this, it's kind of like a long garden hose. That's red and white stripes. So it it does not look human. It's Mike Might be a bit of an issue, but Diller Monde. It just kind of like a mustachioed Mario Brothers looking guy that has a 6 Ft. Diller mon that just gets him into all types of wacky situations. The real piano organ and and of course he has a Luigi with a 1 ft. Pillar mon. You're about to be sacked and you just have to wonder what is going on.

How To Fix Our Mind | Venerable Cunda

"Today good morning got to noon on copy. Be Winning in Australia. You see when we see someone will say today. How you going okay? So let me introduce myself if anyone met me for on Monday. Ms Venerable tuned earlier. And this'll be my third talk of this year in Jonah grow. We Treat Center. And you'll be my last talk for this year because next month I'll be going to another Buddhist monastery overseas to support the in body monastery. We do have a few branch bonus and the monastic are required to go to different breath monastery to support one. Thank you so today's topic Always think of a topic or Someti- swinton things come out over the days a weekend and become a good topic talk about today's topic our about being restlessness a home having a crazy mine because myself and also bendable twenty anti body toucher Brenner retreat. In the weekend so I helped to Kentucky a retreat take body touched on the weekend and one the question that came up quite quite frequency was how do you do with restlessness at home and dowse quite common Christian in the weekend on the online retreat? And he's also say how do with a reminders? Going all with the placer here that's true. It's not easy has a at home in lifer that's doing crazy. Mine and one question was also was the reason why became a nasty and what stages are when to become a monastic toll. I'll try and combine all district crush together onto this talk. Okay so I'll give them a bit of background on myself before I came the body on on mystery so I was born in militia so I left militiamen quite young. Roughly twelve years old and I went to a place called silent because My parents was leaving the at the time working in the mines so so I grew up on Christmas Island and I worked here for roughly twenty years. So I was criticizing diller but I was born relation now. I moved to Australia. Roughly roughly twenty years ago. So I wasn't born the Buddha's our free finger. I want and I enjoy my locked the Max so when I was in my early S I was working up in the minds. And Yeah Spacey. Be a rebel idea. I want and I behave in pretty say just looking for fun and business did drink a lot and did smoke a lot when you were up the mindset. That's what most people at the time. Drinking Smoking and partying a lot and it was about twenty two years ago so we do not have much internet and working up in the minds. Uc's majority of the work is was basically men till became quite competitive and Yeah we say be aggressive so I call into those car mentality competing wine now. Nada and try and be a tough man. I been the website you. Yeah but I mean it was quite peaceful can after work. There wasn't much to do so most of us would just hang around in the pub drinking smoking and dismissing around. So I did it for a few years about two years. Ottawa got really sick tile and also can be up stock up in the minds not able to see my family not having a law freedom to just be my friend. Sir All go to other places because at the time I was doing my apprenticeship up in the minds so I was tactic for four years. So it's quite interesting so I started my Buddhist practices so I did notice. I was hitting quite aggressive. A developed a beer with time temperature so I used to explore in Rasiah working in the minds just arguing and fighting with before so it wasn't a good habit and a new habit plus our spacey drinking a lot lower and smoking to actually make degraded my mind and my mental wellbeing

With Travel at Historic Low, Investors Buy Billion-Dollar Stake in Expedia

"How does a little holiday in the Scottish highlands sound lovely? Even during this lockdown plenty of people thought so and reserve properties for rent on the global travel website booking dot com in fact so many tourists continue to putter about the Scottish countryside that it alarmed the locals like rural residents all over they feared travelers might bring Kobe. Nineteen with them at overwhelmed. Small hospitals and so in Blackford. The areas presumably exasperated member of parliament asked booking dot com to quit offering reservations for the bucolic countryside. Finally last week the giant travel company complied. Now you can't get a reservation at a cottage in the Scottish highlands until may ninth or later at least not on booking dot com so reports the Scottish newspaper the National. So why am I telling you this? Little story well because it offers a small taste of the big problems facing the travel industry like so many other industries. Covert nineteen is upended everyone in the travel business from tiny. Bnb's to the largest players that's especially true of booking dot coms biggest rival expedia travel and its parent company. Expedia group in addition to owning. Its namesake reservation site. Expedia group owns other household. Names including travelocity ORBITZ HOTELS DOT COM B. R. B. O. And home away just to name a few the multibillion dollar travel conglomerate however is far less steady than it had appeared to be back in December it ousted. Ceo REPORTEDLY DUE TO DISAGREEMENTS WITH CHAIRMAN. Buried diller and the board over Corporate Strategy Diller who also runs entertainment giant. I A C took over day to day responsibilities along with board vice-chair Peter Kern in February prior to the couvert nineteen onslaught in the US. The company announced what it called disappointing twenty nineteen earnings. It announced plans to lay off three thousand people or about twelve percent of its workforce at the time diller called the company's Sclerotic in bloated sclerotic by the way means rigid or slow to change. Not exactly a compliment. He planned to streamline the business which he believed had become too large and complex by the end of February. The company had put plans in place to save three hundred to five hundred million expenses annually and then the virus which had already been wreaking havoc globally hit the US hard. The effect on the travel industry is beyond devastating the US Travel Association estimates losses of more than five hundred billion dollars in direct travel spending. That's nine times worse than the impact on the travel industry after nine eleven according to Forbes sadly the travel association predicts more than eight million. Us travel industry workers will have lost their jobs by the end of this month. And if the pandemic is devastating most businesses those with fragile foundations like expedia are scrambling to ensure they'll survive last week. Expedia received a promise of a rescue package to private equity firms Apollo global management and silverlake are buying a stake in the company for one point. Two billion dollars that alone however may not be enough to help it withstand the travel slump. So expedia is also borrowing another two billion dollars to give it more liquidity. The company says along with announcing the deal expedia also named Peter Kern as CEO observers say. Kern who has roots in private equity will be well suited to the moment meaning. He'll be comfortable cutting jobs and expenses. The big question of course is not just who will survive. But who will thrive after the pandemic crisis abates and investment in a travel business? Even at CEO prices could be seen as a positive sign. Long-term read Raymond a partner at Apollo Management said in a statement. Expedient is a world class company with an unparalleled collection of online travel brands. He added that the firm which will take a seat on expedience. Board looks forward to collaborating on expedia growth and innovation

A Look At The Coming Streaming Wars

"First up today on this Wednesday podcast streaming wars we've been talking about the streaming wars for some time at and T. says it will launch its new streaming service in May and we'll do so at a much higher price point than rivals Disney and apple here's what's going on guys Hbo Max will cost fifteen dollars per month that by the way in the exact same price as a regular HBO Subscription Bud it is triple the cost of apple's new service more than double the cost of Disney plus. Hbo Max Offer Movies and shows from HBO as well as the Warner Library including friends and the Big Bang theory and DC Superhero movies will also also struck a deal to become the streaming home of South Park Service will also launch with a new ten episode game of Thrones Prequel called House of dragons it said three hundred years before the events of the Arisen you know game of thrones HBO also announcing it will pick up a separate prequel to game of thrones. That was going to be starring Watts it's an interesting decision the pricing fifteen dollars it is by the way as we said it's materially more the dizzy plus an apple having said that the amount of content on it is mature really more than what you're going to get on Disney and specifically apple because apple doesn't have the library at fifteen dollars what it does is it forces the issue for cable operators because we going to do is try to jam the mass component into it because there's not an increased price it's actually very hard for a cable operator whether to charter a comcast or whomever to say we're not gonNA take this right and I imagine the goal over time will be to actually collect as many people into this as possible and hope it it becomes a this or network flex but he is a big challenge for that too especially if you're a family with kids so the the question concerts to work out how many of these do you sign up for many years so I think if you're family you're probably going to the question is that the deal do a Disney I think every is going to do at least for a while and then is it in does it is it a net flicks versus Hbo Max is that how this is now gonna be we have peacock by the way that'll be free right it's a separate issue where does hassles I wonder whether who gets pushed out in all of this meeting if it's if if we're playing an either or game net flicks I understand a lot of people up it'd be with that because HBO that people already have it maybe they get Netflix Hbo but then it makes them so much harder for who the biggest issue is where the content is down the road because all of these decisions can be changed very quickly with net flicks you can turn it off any month if you don't WanNa see what's wrong with any of this but I think what's going to change in all this is the pricing right now you're right and we talked about this all the time you can turn right out on any given month but what's going to happen I imagine over time you're starting to see with Disney in terms of price trying to line up for a year careers I in for a year by in for three years and I think more and more they're gonNA offer discounted packages to stick which is also these introductory offers never last they wanted to get a couple of quarters under their belt and they're losing money or not making enough money I don't think netflix where gradually raise prices over I know a lot of people were lately saying prophets you don't necessarily want to maximize those but in general I think you want to try to get to that point of elasticity where right where the vote will keep it and you'll be able to at least have margins the real question to me is on. Hbo How many more people are gonNA get HBO simply because it has this bigger libraries Oh really gonna be what's going to get you to that next potentially I mean that seemed to be what was sticky for Netflix having all of these things having the library of content that they had aid for to keep in House that's what a lot of you know from as much as we know about Netflix worship that seemed to be what a lot of the viewership was around aside from these big releases every so often well but then you had people grit Greenfield come on and say you don't need any library all you need is a handful of great shows that people feel that they're addicted to nonetheless we're GonNa talk all about this and the streaming Moore's later in the program because we're GonNa be joined by the one and only media mogul Barry diller this news with the two game of thrones that was big news for my son that they did they ran out of the star wars and he said that people online are saying well it makes sense because they bailed out of the last season of game of thrones too stop stop people have seen it it's been out anyway he likes to watch
