Vansilli talks about CS and trying out Diabolical

"Our next guest on the centering East sports podcasts has been involved with the scene for a very long time before it was even called E. Sports, believe it or not please welcome to the show van. Silly guys. Thank you so much for having me. It's going great in some kicked in for the past two days. So I'm like a little bit groggy here and there, but still super excited to be part of the show. Thank you so much for having me. You've been. Go ahead tell us about I mean he you've been pretty busy. It's okay to be a little. For sure for I. Think I think as we're GONNA talk about him I'm I'm assuming very soon is. Valerie Valerie has been keeping myself busy, not only just trying to follow the scene, but just trying to rank up as well because I I feel like to this day even though I've been in the scene for such a long time for sports, you still have to prove yourself to the community so I don't want people to go like, oh should caster kick w what a bad castor you know so I I need to bring myself up to the diamond platform at least and then hopefully immortal at some point. It's cool that you mentioned that I wanNA actually touch on that for a second say. been casting for a long time right? Not since what two thousand and three? Thousand two, thousand and three. It was my first ever event I started really dippy my toes into it in two thousand and two with quake three urban terror. So we're we're going way back at that point you know. So we tim and I both played quake three. Urban terrorists. Okay. Okay. What what is urban terror I in another interview you? Yes. So it could actually it was the the MoD for quake three actually helped me transition over to counteracting duty one when those came out because urban terror was kind of like. A similar version of action quake with you guys played quake. quake. But if not, you could compare counterstrike with with some bunny hopping, including stamina and sliding. So it was a lot of. You had to buy weapons. So they were they were actually Actually, had to choose weapons instead of buying. So you're allowed to choose for example, let's say you go end for each one of them had little perks, and if you chose certain perks than it would nullify getting certain type of equipment, she could banish your teammates by budget holding caps lock, and then the the they're able to go off way but the damage internal organs shot in the leg or no body or head has that type of damage. So it has that type of hit. Boxes. So you really have to be good and in terms of aiming for the head to to make sure that you kill Vassar but the the same style is still very counterstrike he where it's like a five five or six six but you bunny hop across the map and plant bombs on onto different sites, and of course, the opponents have to defuse or you have just a regular team survivor. So it's just like within a timer, you have to kill everybody at a certain point. Survivor played coming from that arena shooter world. ANY INTERESTING DIABOLICAL I've been playing diabolical with like the first Beta came out I love it I'm I'm really not good at it. Actually I'm good with the I'm with the the what they call the rocket launcher I forgot what the they have different course but the one that's like the rail gun holy crap. I'm not good with a really be more like when I play to increase I was all about rails but now I just can't hit anything I. Think I got that boom that funny hit me but. The boomer foul yeah one hundred percent I still I still love watching fatality play I still love watching lex play and de can play as well and of course, they're screaming a lot and you see a couple of local tournaments or smaller tournaments with like a Dang and all them playing him to just to be able to see like PS PSB arena ps instead of being quick champions what they tried to do I'm just happy to see a different style or that style comeback with diabolical to what quarter cle the routes used to be for for quick. Do you think the arena shooter will ever come back in a big way. With diabolical I think it will to be honest like because when when you when you used to launch a for example painkiller or quake three, CPA, it was all about how fast people are moving around the map in how good they were in terms of aiming but also predicting where your opponents going to be because you have to control the rail, you had to control the Rock and you have to control the items. There's so much mental timing that goes into playing a repeat that people don't really understand the the whole concept around good you have to be to be top. Notch in arena ps but as a simple spectator, it's so much easier to follow. Because now you know it's a one vs one. You know who you're following your when you're looking at the screen and you know basically the concept of He needs to pick up weapons he needs to the other guy you look at the HP, you look Winter GonNa, pick up armor, and then you know that there's going to be like the whole time or kind of thing what I like about diabolical in the dual into dual range in what the ad is the i? Think it's called Golden Kill or The last kill. Agar's should have something. You have to basically within a ten minute timer. If you're actually destroying the guy that tarmac goes down a little bit faster, and then once it gets to that timer, the wouldn't lead still has to do one more kill to secure the win. So there's still a chance for the second person to to make a comeback into the game and hopefully win a sudden death overtime or something, which is great because back then again, when looking quake three and you're looking at. Painkiller it's like if the guys by five enters two minutes, left users hiding for the rest of the map and he's just GonNa win by time. Even with quake champions just with this last quake con championship like the forget the guys who were in the finals like the guy was up by eight kills and it was like. Yeah. Exactly. It's super boring. So I think that adds a nice concept and a good little changed uranium ps where I think I think I could actually get pretty big I. Mean you have some big names that are still support and behind it like I said like Didi keys in there and and I'm a digi wheat lows playing it similar it from time to time and he has like it i. mean it's it's produced by good studios and two good has been very, very, very much involved with with sports in his in his days. and His career as well. So I think I think they have the right people to try to push into the next level.

Interview with Thriller Writer Andrew Allan - burst 1

"Hi. Everyone may guest is the author of the wall Asher Thriller series you also right to grind house hulk. We've gotten talked about. He is an infomercial writer and director is also into wild cope movies making them I believe. And runs a website called daily. Grind House Dot. com I guess today's Andrew. Allan. Hi Andrew. Thanks for being here. It's Sure thing I love your resume I mean you're you're by it was fascinating to me because I love sill as well as books I assumed that you were infomerrcial rendered director before you started writing books. Yes. Yeah I, my career is little bit weird in the sense that I went to film school and then I, broke two commercials while I was working on developing movies and I ended up getting a job at the home shopping network, which is based here in Saint Pete Florida and. It's bizarre. Everyone presumes it is, but it was really great experience and I learned how to do a lot of things including sell on TV and that often into doing infomercials, which is selling on TV so and I have to say I love it as ridiculous as it sounds I it's great profession. Sounds. Really cool actually. What made you decide to do infomercials and what prompted you to start writing books? Money prompted me to start doing infomercials. Is You know we all need it. We all like it. But three Oris was. Like I said, I. Learned to basically sell on television when as at. and. That is a natural transition into infomercials and when I decided Lake Age San. I knew I wanted to make my writing or sorry make my living still riding in. If, directing producing commercials. In what was great about infomercials was at a Niche. So instead of just saying, Hey, I'M A. Commercial writer and there's ten thousand other people are competing with. I said been infomercial right better and maybe ten people on meeting with. So now I can like authentically say one of the top it from our show writers world and I've got a ton of experience done thousands of commercials in the ask aid and all that sort of stuff so. It's great and that's how that came to be the reason I started writing books. was because I I remember reasons when I was creatively frustrated had been making movies had been writing screenplays in. which were fun and some of them got made some of them did. But all of them required collaboration and I had reached a point where I didn't really want to collaborate anymore. At least for a while, I needed a break. And that's even on projects that I absolutely loved movie that was aching with my best friend and. Even then like we would get into arguments and about I just needed a break from that. So I wanted to do something on my own and that's when I decided to write a book had a story. Kind of kicking around that I'd never been able to turn into a script. I finally figured out how to make that work in book form, which was the first of Asher took and. Took it from there, the other the other part of that story is. I was actually reading a book by. A very famous author that we all know who I'm not GONNA name and Not to sound Eric and I thought it was terrible house like a weight. and. I actually caught myself saying I could do better. And? You know a very arrogant thing to save for someone who's never. But I decided to see if I could back up. And I think I did. unbelie speaking I didn't think I was right. Funny because a lot of writers actually do start offers those kinds of thoughts I do this. Anyway it wasn't even looking down at the writing it was in fact. The looking at the idea of being writer was more like this story is not entertaining be and. I know enough about story structure from screen plays and things like that. where I could look at this and say, really was about me thinking this guy should be doing a lot better for albig their name is and how much money. Yeah. You points for originality on coming up with a protagonist is infomercial writer. Director. But I see that you've drawn from your own background or at least I assume you have. Tell US little about wall. Ask How is it? He gets into the kinds of situations that would lead to thriller. Series. What I had to figure out. As. He is comes from my background. I did go down the road of right now and that's because. As confident as I was writing commercials in his confident as was writing movies I had no confidence whatsoever writing a book so I figured I ought to. Rely on everything that I could get off the so. And then plus the idea. Of Him being an infamous rider was intriguing. You know. I. Like all of us had written read million books about cops and lawyers and soldiers, detectives and reporters. That's great. People are probably doing it better than me. So let me try something completely different. And I worked at it worked because I think wall what I like about wall. What I like about these books is that he has to rely persuasion to kind of get by doesn't mean he's not physical. There's a lot of action in the books and But. But he is a true amateur sleuth who has nothing to do with. Justice and basically starts out he lives on the Rainbow River, which is a real. River Donnellan Florida about two hours north where I. In he's he's in the river because data's friend's house by the water and finds his friend dead on the Bank of the river. With an alligator in the process of Jim up. But it's clear that the alligator did not kill him so. One thing leads to another and the villain in the story overplays its hand. And attempts to kill. Walt. And it becomes very clear that he has to do. Something a balance it's no. A- paranoid. It's legitimate in in the Diet figuring out. took. Let's see you also, right. Does poke at the series also correct. Those books like you fun. Grind House. I I. Guess. Okay so Basically the Grind House was forty second street movie theaters in the Sixties Seventies in eight Times Square. And They Kinda just show like all the really gross horror movies the karate movies, all kinds of stuff you know movies that were generally looked down upon, but also provided extremely visceral thrill. And I love those movies I think they're A. A love cult movies, and so my grind house pulse series is basically me coming up with ideas for grind house movies, it putting them at goes. It's different than like the wall Asher stuff is war. Thriller Mystery Thriller Suspense Ryan How's Paul is pushed things over the edge a little bit more. you know there's more violence and there's You know just like you'd see in those insane movies and they're really they're. Their books of movies I would love to see. Yeah Yeah. You. Should check public domain deserves some really crazy things that you probably already know that. That's for sure. Oh my gosh. If you receive Nanos hands a fate. Badly. I had yes. Oh my God. That's all say about that. There's some movies that are just so bad. You have to see them. That's one of them. Well, that's a little part of my resume I produced Herschell, Gordon Lewis's last movie. Own Donahue Herschel is he's the guy. He was the first guy to put Gore in a move back nine hundred and sixty three in the movie blood feast. and He did other movies like wizard of Gore or girls and two thousand maniacs. E, Kinda started it all and he was. Low budget exploitation filmmaker and I had the great fortune of. Meeting him in basically getting to produce a movie for one of my heroes. While that's fantastic. That's wonderful To get back to Walt. Is there an overall story ARC in series? So the first book was really just a test to see if I write a book. Well and that feeling. Of. Really sort of rabbit story. There was a slight. Subtle hints. To where it could go beyond that story. Then after I thought about it and I liked the process and I thought the book went well and I didn't get demolished by reviews as like yeah I'll continue the so. As it exists now there's a three book. Arc. Where each is a complete story of their full length novels, but the villain is the same in the three of them. The Antagonists Casino tag is more of a secret organisation kind of thing than just one person specifically. So there's arc with that and then in between each novel. I, I wrote an Avella. And those are side stories, featuring walt and some of the same characters from the boat but not related to that big overarching story. So. Just kind of Nice it's sort of like a breather in between, but you still get to spend time with the characters. That's cool. Yeah. Most of those are. Rooted in the fact that. Waltz basically best friend up on the river where he lives. Dining digi who is actually a criminal biker. And he's into all kinds of criminal stuff but he's just Kinda like one of those Florida Good Ole boys who are fun to be around and for whatever reason he likes wall is completely not of his world. So in the NOVELLAS. Those. Tend to focus on D. G. Getting Wall to do something for digi in that usually on the danger things like that, and and that's what cell shock which giveaway book for this interview is one of those things. Lead. US

Fans All Over The World Are Sharing Kobe Bryant's Moving Oscar-Winning Animation 'Dear Basketball'

"Since the death of Kobe Bryant just over a week ago a multitude of memorials have sprung up around the world many of them showcasing his academy award winning animated short film dear basketball luckily for us new Englanders we can catch the film not the monster wrought college of art WBZ's Carl Stevens spoke with Nate from Lewis the director of exhibitions and public programs with the organization about their newer show entitled the animation show of shows twenty years and counting really excited right now we have the animation show of shows twenty years and counting which is a two part exhibition kind of highlighting the work of acne Filmworks and its producer and founder Ron diamond runtime as in putting together production for twenty one years of the very best animation from all over the world from emerging to establish hand drawn three modeled and in this exhibition one half of it is set up more like a movie theater or screening the nineteen show of shows which includes a piece side your basketball with Kobe Bryant Glen Keane and John Williams on the other side is a selection of works and directors from the acne still works our production stable and that includes you know we just really wanted to show the breadth of the media you know right here as much from two thirds of our students are illustration animation graphic design and we want to make sure the galleries the show again the bread to what's capable over teaching these wonderful students and so right now you know these people who are going there are always they're the ones who are going to side what animation is and does and how it functions and kind of see this order to get to stand upon I think is really important for them in the timing with the Kobe Bryant video can you talk about that sure so the Kobe Bryant video dear basketball you're probably familiar is a illustrated reaction to this two thousand fifteen announcement of leaving the league so it's a beautiful poem and he had hooked up with Glen Keane whose name that might not be readily familiar but he is a Disney superstar everyone from Aladdin our E. L. targeting the beast any major digi character you probably known about linking as one who designed that along side of that he's working with John Williams Star Wars jobs ET lord of the rings so really it's like two of the most heavy weights and it's a beautiful video that is autobiographical but really about perseverance passion of spirit and right now given them the more contemporary context it's it's more of an elegy it it's it's quite it's quite powerful right now of course because the galleries are so dark it's reverential in there to see that so it's a really beautiful piece I know right now to the thing at least since the tragedy they have been all the postings pretty all over the place here right now call with production company has been taking the reins on it a little bit and my understanding is because they're actually playing it this Cup coming Oscars so the two thousand eighteen winner in in tribute to Kobe they'll be playing again at the two thousand twenty one coming up in just a few days so in a fraction of the way it is almost accidentally here at much run sort of a tribute to Kobe very much so you know right now as far as I know we are the only institution that you can view this video not illegally at least so you know something to I think it is a testament to the power of storytelling a testament to the power of art to kind of allow people in story to live beyond their terrestrial tying

Just Enough To Be Dangerous

"So let's start out about the Zenko on from last week's podcast episode so this Cohen is called announcement and it goes was like this tons on route. Sixty postal cards on the last day of his life and asks independent to mail them then he passed away. The cards words read. I am departing from this world. This is my last announcement tons on July twenty seventh eighteen ninety two. This is an interesting one. I picked it because it's a little different than than most of the Cohen said. I've shared before and for me. The very first thing to come to mind is what would I be doing with the time I had on my last day. Would I be writing sixty postal cards on the last stay of my life and asked him to be mailed out the other thing that stood out to me was all his says is MD party from this world. And this is my last announcement name Amo date and to magic writing him writing this sixty times. It was comical to me when I read it at an part of why it was comical. Oh because I don't know why someone would do that. I don't know if there are cultural understandings of this. That don't make makes sense to me because of where when I was raised versus you know where where and when the story arose. I don't know but I thought thought it was interesting to share some of the thoughts that came from this in the Patriots Group and the discussion. That was going on in there so I WANNA share a couple of of these because I hadn't really thought about it this way. The first thought comes from Nancy. Who says I'd like to comment about the Zenko on announcement and then she goes on to say? Wow to come to the end of your life like tons on. This Cohen spoke to me about living a life with no regrets in making the preparations for your death. Then she goes on to say took a course a few years ago following Stephen Levine's book a year to live. We met monthly and prepared for our death. As though we were all given the news that we had a year to live. It was a tough journey to go through but helped me to see what I was resisting. In this truth that we all die by the result from this personal study was a greater appreciation for the life. I have now and more at peace with death as I believe tons John was now. That's an aspect of this that I haven't thought about. She was impressed with the preparation that went into Tons Zahn preparing for his death because most of us don't prepare for it right at it comes as a surprise and the only way we would prepare for it as we. We happen to have a terminal illness or something that really gives us an advanced warning. Then it's coming and I think in a way you know if you can prepare for it you're you're one of the lucky ones. Most people don't get to. They don't get to say their final goodbyes. They don't get to make peace with Parents or siblings or loved ones. They don't don't they. Don't get the chance to go. Check off a few things from their bucket. Lists they just live life thinking that They've got plenty of time and then boom boom they're gone and I hadn't thought about this aspect of it with with tons on if he's writing his His announcements here that he's departing. He's obviously done his preparation. I hadn't thought about it from that perspective that It's it's cool that he had the chance to do his last announcement to be prepared repaired for his death so that to me tells me that he had been thinking about it and perhaps thinking about it often to the point where it's not this scary. You think that it's like oh no. When is it coming? So that's that's kind of a fun way to to think about that. And then the other thought comes from Stefan also in the Patriot group and and he says Tanzanian knew his time was due. He mailed the cards at the appropriate time which was acceptance of his immediate fate. My feeling is that he simply felt his life was complete. Wasn't going to deny death or trying to avoid it here. It is why not embrace it by embracing it. He didn't leave his body. Okay with any suffering. At least over his death and one could hope that if he was so in tuned with his end that he didn't have any suffering left in his life either if this is true and he had no suffering left in his life mailing these cards right before his death could have very well been his moment of realizing enlightenment and now that that's a fun thought again. I hadn't really thought about it from that perspective because I was kind of laughing at the whole concept of of writing the departure announcement you know in our day and age. We see this on facebook from time to time rag where someone says. Hey here's this announcement. I'M GONNA BE LEAVING ACE book and I WanNa make sure all of you. Now that I'm leaving and we we almost laugh at that because it's like okay thank you. And so I- correlated those thoughts when I read this co on thought. There's there's tons on. Hey thanks tons on You're leaving but it hadn't crossed mind that we're not talking about just a departure like death for a Lotta people as a very very big deal and for him. It seemed like I was interpreting it. Like maybe it's not a big deal to like. Hey I'm leaving. Just say now. And here's the announcement that says this is the DAMN MD partying. It wasn't even like let me tell you my final thoughts on this or that it was just a very simple thing and the more I think about this the more uh I realize you know I kinda hope that's how it is for me that If I knew today was my last day you know. I don't know that I would have a whole lot left to say because if I did. Why haven't I been been saying that up until now I? I would like to think that I've been living my life in a way if the end came and it was today or tomorrow they wouldn't be a whole lot that's been left unsaid. The people that I love now that I love them them and and my announcement could be as simple as hey. I'm departing from this world. This is my last announcement and then my name and the date so anyway for me. This Cohen gives me a lot to think about In terms of my life and my preparations from debt for death. And how am I living my life life with the knowledge that it could end at any moment so this was a fun one to explore and to discuss after getting some of the insight from the numbers of the group and Just playing with this a little bit more on in my head. So that's the Zenko on announcement so so now. I want to jump into the topic that I wanted to discuss today. which is just enough to be dangerous now? I think I would assume that many of you have heard this expression of knowing knowing something just enough to be dangerous. I've heard this in the context. Probably most often referring to languages in the in the context of learning two languages. There's this expression that I know just enough to be dangerous. which implies that I know enough that I can start talking in? Someone's going to think that I speak speak the language so then they'll start speaking to me then. I might not understand them because I didn't know as much as I thought that I knew so that that's where I think that expression that's where I hear most in that context of language but I I've thought about this recently because this week or over the weekend my youngest daughter gee-gee four started to learn how to ride a bike and I took the training wheels off for her and then my wife would would stand down on one end of the road and I would stand kind of on the other and we would essentially help Digi get going and then kind of fear ear her off in the direction of the other and the one standing on their would catch her turnaround. We'll do it the same. She was learning to ride the bike. And of course at that age agents. It's a very exciting thing. And as soon as she realizes she can do that wants. She's like okay. Now let me do it alone and it reminded me of how we have this tendency that soon as we start to learn something and we did it once or twice in. It's working out. Of course we think okay good I got it and that's that stage of knowing something just enough to be dangerous in this case I was thinking with concern like. Oh let's let's not let her just just go all out because she may have mastered writing from from my wife to me from me to my wife but what happens when she tries to go up the sidewalk sidewalk or when she tries to turn or you introduce some new variable. And that's the moment when she knew just enough to be dangerous and can follow they get hurt. And I've experienced this another aspects of life as well with teaching people to Paraglider Para Motor. Paragliding is is a difficult sport to get into anyone who knows how to do. It will probably tell you that it looks kind of easy and I think think a lot of people who get into the sport. Get into it thinking they're gonNA learn in it's going to be easy but the truth is takes a lot of time in a lot of energy in a lot of effort her and in some ways A lot of patients because people start to learn one aspect of it. Then you start out learning how to had a kite that wing Over your head. It's essentially a giant fabric wing and with the wind if floods overhead. kind of like a kite. Would learn to control

"Opens doors and impact peace and development throughout local communities as well as on a national and global level according to the chief of U. N. system affairs and the New York Office of U. N. volunteers. UNLV now dreary said in an interview with you a news ahead of International Volunteer Day. She knows her way around the UN system having previously served with UN women and the UN Development Program UNDP in Iraq Yemen. Another hot spots seeing first hand. The difference volunteering can make moves dreary began by telling Lewis Kathy. What the U. N.. Volunteers program is all about the U. N. V. Program is the UN organization that promotes volunteerism to support peace and development worldwide. You envy is one of the first common services of UN system every year about more than six thousand five hundred volunteers including about tousands. Volunteers contributes to the effective delivery of the peace and development interventions of the United Nations system. Actually this year in November we have reached a number of eight thousand U. N. volunteers who are serving worldwide the United Nations system. Many people think the U. N.. Volunteers are mainly youth. Is that true. Not that's all actually the average Asia. Few and volunteers is thirty five years old. The total number lot of the youth volunteers yearly is about a thousand out of six thousand. Five hundred or seven thousand for instance. I can give you the figure for two thousand eighteen. We had only twenty five percent of the volunteers were under Asia to one thousand nine and two you need to speak languages to be a UN volunteer or it's Sir great asset to have the languages the more you on languages. Have you have the more possibilities of serving the UN system all over the world so definitely. English is a master. And then you. If you're going to be serving in Africa in Francophone Africa. Then you need the French. If you're going to be in Latin America then yes Spanish so yes languages rate asset to have. What kind of activities do you want. Volunteers do all kinds of activities. We are partnering with more than forty entities all over the world and it's more than a hundred profiles and fields that the UN volunteers are serving actually worldwide involved peace and in development and when you join to be a UN volunteer. Do you request what area. You would like to work in it. Definitely when you put your profile in the system you will put as well the area of your expertise and then when you're selected. It is based on the area the of expertise that you have long. Have you been in this post in September. Actually that I have taken the position I came in in August but then I took some time and yeah so effectively I would say in September and and before that before that I was also would United Nation volunteer but in Bonn I was had in the human resources section section if I was there for four years and before that I was with you when women and before you women United Nation Development Programme with U. N. D. C.. You were never actually a UN. Oh and volunteer yourself. No I have not served as you and volunteers but I have seen the UN volunteers in action in the field. All over in and when I was in Liberia when I was in at work when I was in Yemen it is actually the UN volunteers who are doing a lot of contribution a lot of the work of the you went system so I have seen it firsthand definitely. What is International Volunteer Day. Oh yes the International Volunteer Day. Fifth of December it is the international observance day was mandated by General. Assembly in nineteen eighty. Five these actually offers an opportunity for volunteers and end volunteer involvement organizations to promote volunteerism to share the values of volunteerism and contributing that they make to their communities. Industry is key to climate change fight, says UN industrial development chief

"This is Matt Wells at U. N. News the UN Industrial Development Organization UNIDO works towards poverty reduction inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability and that mandates crucial to the battle against global warming. That's the view of direct to general the young who spoke to you and uses marshy lead to discuss a range of issues from tackling climate change range managing the private sector's contribution to the sustainable development goals and you need those efforts to foster digital infrastructure across Africa he began by expanding the significance consider Mondays climate action summit here you and headquarters why it's so meaningful for UNIDO to contribute to climate summit because it is saying about thirty percent of the emission actually generated by the air industry manufacturing and also one third of the electricity power actually consumed by the manufacturing sector so this is as a con of reality a kind of challenge for the manufacturing future industry and UNIDO as on collision of course we promote manufacturing industrial development for developing countries but you walk kind of way is a big question question. Do we follow the traditional way footprint. Well we try to be innovative this. This is a water as I become digi of UNIDO twenty thirteen and we started with extensive discussion and a set up a new agenda agenda or mandate which is inclusive and sustainable industrial develop inclusive and share the prosperity already among all the people leave. No one behind for Industrial Development Sustainability is really green industry sustainability of industry manufacturing and a wichita focusing on the reduction of emission so we need to change shoot shoot traditional way of the consumption of energy and the traditional way of the producing emission and with new technology allergy with the new policy available for Oma States so that is our tasker a work now. I'm ver- happy this inclusive and sustainable industrial development become. SDG Go nine which is inclusive sustainable in that transition innovation and the infrastructure now. I'm very happy now. We moved ahead of his agenda. UNIDO creator lots of projects audience programs convenient function connected to the contribution of the Climate Change Agenda of Francis a we have a renewable Newell Energy Efficiency Program. This is a very big program for all member countries. We have the Green Industrial Conference. There's a focusing on the industry we have the Vienna and deform co-hosted with other partners focused on renewable renewable energy. I understand private. sector has been playing an increasingly important role in helping facilitate the partnership. How do you understand the importance of price activate in playing a role to promote initiatives work price as a partner one of the important potent group of partner of course Governmental Power Dilemma Financial Institution Academia and we we have a UN agencies or brother Sister Agency. We are the pound but why we focus on the private sector as as one of the important engine for you need those inclusive sustainable in touch association process because our program when we move ahead. It's connected to practice it. Companies it connected to the local community maybe stuff from individual farmers start start ups and also the big companies but via from privacy and also when we move ahead of his some of the program will I to generate more impact of the project because we create a job food agro-processing manufacturing activities supported youth to have jaw support a women to have Joel and and that is a big concept of the private sector and we are very happy we worked very closely with the Global Compact the the UN there the headquarters of the privacy at those big companies small company all of the world obviously Africa's still needing a lot of assistance from the international community in many areas including innovation and now it infrastructures how you need to carry Al this job in Africa of course innovation as always very dynamic without innovation. I don't believe this world. We'll move ahead. This science technology will be developed and therefore you need the operation we could keep traditional way of if to embarrass individual projects for fifty years and the we enjoy very much a conspiracy wet local community where however when we move ahead with this SDG twenty thirty s did you go nine it puts innovation air as one of the pillar and then how to achieve inclusive sustainable in touch as we through the individual projects. It takes maybe ten thousand miles road. If we use the innovator way support a country you start from industrial strategy edgy on the subsectors for a whole industrial sector us the human resources you the national endowment use the compatibility ability being billed there will be much faster the ten thousand miles road or be greatly shortened that is what what we are doing with innovative approach to support a country we created a PCP program for country Polish focusing on individual strategy did you industrial policy advice to the country based on the national priorities and infrastructure is so critical ago we say it's connected connecting it to rolled connected to electricity conduct conduct to water and those that concept of the infrastructure when we move ahead industrial development infrastructure stretcher must be there otherwise we cannot to the industry with all the water without electricity without transportation. It's not industry. Maybe go back to the farm meaning. They still need infrastructure. So that's very important area for you need to support we are not on sation was a beer funding for infrastructure but we add on Asian could provide advisory services advices for the strategy to develop infrastructure connected to our programs like industrial pumps ops integrated egger industrial parks and a special economic zones and we mobilized resources from those international development institutions from agency and from the private companies that Tis what are we are doing and one of the issue I just lied to to to mashing it to before conclusion and the infrastructure trickiest specially for the digital infrastructure now people talk about the industrial revolution but a EH connected to more than eighty. Maybe year ninety kinds of technologies but those technology will be run on infrastructure a stretch of road. That is a digital infrastructure we now advice those countries especially developing country poorest country least developed countries to setup agenda to develop digital infrastructure.

Angela Yee discusses experiencing breakups

"What's up what's up. It's absurd. We're going to have a fun time chatting today Angela. I'm Judy McGuire. I'm Stephanie Santiago Seattle. Hi My name's T- literally he's USA notable so you guys are here for Fashion Week. Yes pretty much you jason hanging out with the Anna Nicole show last week. I said I'm going to fashion. We just to see Riyan on. I've been here for a week. I'm exhausted and I copy last night. She knew who you were and everything. Just give you a hug. She was happy to see you. Yeah you know. Most people aren't it was felt. Good for aw shit is crazy. How dowd inches on every like she. She knew me so it was it was a good conversation and a tee for you. You also worked during New York Fashion Week. Yeah I did so. What was that experience like well. That was pretty cool because I've always wanted to do it the fact that I finally was able to and I'm like only five to I was like okay okay. Yes it's getting disrespectful. I right you're looking good. I saw a gag your congratulations in twelve or eleven yeah. T- walked in I mean we're we're also neighbors yeah yeah but she had like a fat ass and all the guys like. Oh my God like me. I'm working hard for my gay. Jokes walks in with everybody loves Raymond Jokes. The jokes are funny. Wrestle cord like whatever you know. Do you ever see anything strange happening. Jason's apartment since y'all are neighbors you you know a couple of floors we don't run into. We really don't run into each other like we run into. Each other in the lobby spread the pool sometimes but we're both like communion. The back door will no pun intended on C. You because I bring my different Jason Glennon DMC Romo's. That's letting is one of the guys that are are Bob. He's living his DMZ planning. Go respond in fact he'd left me on unread. You know you now you can read the non read. Some is cool. I did it as a joke to Charlemagne. I I I don't want him. What if he said was good dinner. Yes then dinner skip all that Shit. I mean dinners for you. I mean clearly. I'm trying the eat less dinner so you whenever you need to get the job all right. Now I WANNA get into something. 'cause today's topic is really about break-up etiquette right. One of us is going through a breakup me smiling. Did you break up with him or did he break up much okay. That's that's a and whether or not we want to admit it is breakup are difficult. They are and sometimes you'll be happy and then in a few months. You'd be sad women you know. I think men are more like that. I had lunch with two of my ex's. Let yesterday at the same time trying to catch everybody. We just have one lunch best best best friends when we were together since at eight when I was eighteen. We're we're the other one was my last ex. Who went to prison just got out and checked me last week. I was here over some bitchy for four or he'd been talking to performance and got the pussy so I had to check him but I couldn't do it individually because my schedule is is busy because the fashion week so I just consolidate consolidate and we just got all this pussy thing yeah so he has a chick. He's like Maliki Oba. He's straight explain that I mean you know. I'm a I'm a podcast. I talk about you know. I do like straight guys. Yeah prefer straight guys. Listen live straight straight date friend a close friend of mine who's gay you know my framework is and and he's the same way like he prefers like the straight guys. I've started performing because one they're never. GonNa tell my business right like I say to him. We could never be together because one of your bitch is going to run up on me and say something crazy and what happened allows here in the club some I rambling minute. Oh we have the same friend saying friend. She said his name like there was money. You get the fuck out here you eh boo straight is just for the sake of trying to sort out like the knicks who are in West Hollywood with the rainbow flags and like the negative who are indictment on the low say t right was messing with a guy and you realize that somebody that I also have is one of my side pieces. Would you tell her or is that something that you're like. Oh my relationship leisurewear him. I got into her. That's their relationship. My relationship with him is whatever we dug WANNA look. If I mess with somebody and then or you know I know that prices messing with one of my friends I would tell right so it's just a different layer when you don't WanNa also out the person. I think there's levels to write like if I was sleeping was find out that they were Melissa Ford's boyfriend caller by David exe dig good hilarious and that's the conversation I've had that conversation was like I didn't know you know but you saying you would tell her because she's your friend right because we're like really there. Aren't that close but realistically. I don't think I would want to know that like if like some of my guys they'll see you and the whole mash Spanish is lying. Fuck you live in my building. You know say you come up here and then go down there yeah so we're talking about break-up etiquette right so when you break up with somebody let's just say now. Yes single right to have a lot of friends over the course of ten years. You'll have accumulated similar friends news news well yeah. I don't really count count but okay 'cause I was his friend. I and that's how I actually know Digi but let's just say some friends of yours that you had they. We're your friends I are. They still allowed to cool him. Well good question. I would say depends on said friend. And how long we've I've been friends how close they can't become over the years and that thing like if it's a new furnace hasn't been around that long then no bitch while you around him like. Y'All oh not that close but if it's somebody that's been around for the duration of the ten eight nine seven year you know what I'm standing. It's a little different because most likely vacation with this person and they've been around him already without me for whatever reason whatever even so let's say he has a fight party at the house and he invites one of my friends. That was a long term friend that has become friends. Lehem Jason. I don't know because I just feel like you know. We'll see one thing about that guy is he's like the host with the most like like he's always throwing parties. He's always inviting everybody over. He's always like I've been Dan. We all know each other together. I know him through you and we you know each other through this and I would not feel comfortable going so party. I see that right. There is the answer because it all depends on your friends who run you like Ma friends friends which are very few like I know a lot of people and I make sure people know or whatever for work but when it comes like my personal life. I don't really deal with a lot of people so my friends friends with nationally just cut you off. I mean no like if I've seen them Ron. I'm like Oh. Hey you know what I'm saying. I'm not going to I'm not going at a party and on the other hands she I wouldn't think it would be so bad for as to go at the big party at his house. Exactly we're friends. We're all we're all three close. You know what I mean like mature also new Angela. You know her character. She Ain't trying to be close to him for any reason. That would be out of pocket. I just mind my the business is higher sometimes when you're friends with each other and you like. I don't WanNa know nothing. Don't do nothing in front of me and he can't even trust me because I'll be there like a spy. I don't really care I have our break up all the time or st new no but on this time nobody believes that I'm done because we were just broken up a year ago here. We are a year later in long as you guys have been broken apfel seventeen months long time that was the last break up and then it's been you are when y'all read books and when you aww drive cars y'all dry forward. Why do y'all go on reverse. I never understood when I break up to get where you know you get. You know you valet take over. I just don't believe that life those in reverse. Even if we break up for like a weekend is over come I now now we can never broken up and then got back together. It's just a clear set. We start from the beginning. Don't lie don't cheat. Don't still which Knicks do if you I don't like about it won't mean this way. I'm definitely over it. I moved moved here to New York for our relationship six years ago and now that it's over. I'm moving back to Georgia and you know that's part of me moving on battling oh no because now you're you're literally putting all the power in him. I'm not happy with him so I don't in our young fly. You're in the city if Wendy Williams confined love right now right. I don't WanNa live here. I would rather live in Atlanta now. Why would you save Wendy Williams menial. She was married for twenty five years. That was not that I'm running. Listen when we broke up the very first time I have been here for two years. I would have moved back to Atlanta then but lip-service hedges is kind of taken off so I stayed for this but now we're at a point where I'm able to fly in for the show. I'll still be able to be here for still coming visiting in the show my whole my whole entire families in Philly. I have a house there so you know I'll be able to come. There visit my family. You Know Oh hang out with my girls while I'm in town. Come Service see what about you. When it comes to break up are you do you go in reverse ever? I mean I have but I've been up that NIGGA. Nigga thought it was funny because I was like what was your question is like how to break up with the etiquette like I the I told someone unlike I'm chilling like it's cool and he was like well. At least you broke up with me maturity and I was. I didn't even know we were together. Sometimes you're in a relationship and don't know I didn't even no. I was with him but I did it right right. I definitely don't reverse anymore. Now you know so. I guess I guess so. I'm so confused about relationships now. I didn't know I was in one for three months. I tell you this is like a reality. Show 'cause she. He lives on the fifth floor lived on the fourth floor on a search for a chain. They moved into the because he lived there. I was like it'll be cute because it'll be like our mansion like olive downstairs and we just run this joining uh-huh together and it was so good you break up and so we broke up now we'd be like why you need to live in the same building with somebody. You know what when you are doing business with somebody like and you're in a relationship and you're like okay. Let's start this business together Hi thing to do to my last ex Mattel you how how I ended the relationship so I started feeling like we're we're. We're well. I got to a point where I felt enough. They were at a point where they just couldn't fall in love with anybody. You know they were very selfish not in a negative way but just not really emotional burs so when they were laying in bed.

"The swag with hardware we gave everyone circuit playground expresses this year with the help of Digi key and <hes> the thing that I put a lot of effort into was as we did open spaces <hes> which we could have just thrown together but worked so much butter with planning ahead having <hes> peripheral hardware available for people to connect to their secret playground express if they wanted to add something to it having a worksheet ready <hes> of being prepared with a number of examples available and get hub wrpo and just having <hes> having a a curriculum almost <hes> for people to come in who had no idea what they were doing and wanted to get started as well we did sprints after the conference what the official conference was over and the thing about circuit python is that a lot of it is done with circuit python is done with the libraries and you can't really work on the libraries without the hardware hardware so I ended up putting together to literally every piece of hardware that we support <hes> which ended up in a six hour marathon soldering session with someone else's well and <hes> <hes> paddle that put together and we found that last year we we blew through a lot of the <hes> easier issues real quickly and kind of ran out of things for people to do because it was it left only core issues which of course written N._C.. And not everyone apply con- no see so we ended up having a ton of python work for people to do and had a like an amazing response to it. People were really into it wanted to help out ones learn how to help out and because we had all the hardware I was able to either provide them with hardware to work with the libraries and for a lot of cases I actually sent people home with the stuff that they were working on so they can continue to work on it at home if they chose to and it sounds like the response was pretty good when I think of Python I always think like the big libraries the numb pies and the tensor flow and and Jupiter how I mean how was the response. Did most people think Oh. This is awesome. More people like yet. This is too small. There were a couple people which I think is out of the number of people there is a fairly standard representation of how often we get that sort of feedback <hes> who obviously said you know. Why are you doing it this way? Why don't you many of the questions that you've asked us today but for the most part people were fascinated by it and wanted to be a part of it <hes> we had a group of high schoolers who joined us because we had one of them join us in sprints last year and they all talked about it and wanted a place where they thought they would feel welcome and that they could learn and the one who had spent time with us last year immediately said that they should go and sprint with us and they did and the amount of work they got done was unbelievable? <hes> they were incredibly into it and there were some of them that were brand new so we help them with their new circuit playground expresses and others of them who were beyond my knowledge level <hes> who were fixing bugs that we had been fighting with for weeks <hes> and getting all kinds of stuff done and they all responded incredibly positively are reporting that they learned a lot. They felt welcome. <hes> they felt. I felt like they could be themselves and felt like we provided them an amazing environment <hes> and that was really what we were going for like..

"I would venture to say nearly half of them. But conservatively I would say about one third of those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease have have a dramatic response. So they have what we call a metabolic phenotype or they have glucose Hypo metabolism. So if you do a brain scan it shows that the brain is utilizing glucose much less efficiently. And that the cells are not taking up glucose from a f- DIGI pet scan. So elevating Kito levels provides an alternative form of energy to the brain and can help restore brain energy metabolism. In the face of glucose cerebral Hypo metabolism that is a hallmark characteristic of Alzheimer's disease. Whether that is a trigger for the Alzheimer's. Z's because with the amyloid tau pathology, the cells are not getting enough energy. They're not breaking down some of the toxic plants at work up, and the, you know, the metabolic processes of the brain as a slowdown. It makes the brain more susceptible to Alzheimer's disease. Also, if you have inflammation various viral illnesses, like HIV dementia perhaps things like herpes simplex virus, perhaps a lime disease various infections can cause neural inflammation. And it's thought that the brain produces amyloid plaque as a consequence to the neural inflammation, so Kitone bodies lower systemic inflammation, which is observed with high sensitivity c reactive protein being lower and that systemic inflammation will be less. Neuro inflammation, less inflammation, the brain will contribute to less amyloid and towel pathologically embitter neuro vascular. For health, you know, overall in the brain. So I think one of the I've learned over the years and just looking at bloodwork my own but hundreds of other people at that if you can lower your your high sensitivity c reactive protein and keep that low keep your triglycerides glow. And keep your glucose low and prevent those post-prandial excursions in glucose that will pay big dividends for your overall health performance and even fat loss. I think you could if those markers are at a whack and you improve them either leave that you could easily add five to ten years to your life. You know, if you're a forty or fifty year old person get those markers in check and that's a good reflection of your overall metabolic health. And our cognitive health is tightly linked to our metabolic health. Really? Yeah. So somebody that is very serious say, they're more health health issue driven to eat more ketogenic, and they want some blood work done. Is there anything specific from Canada? I'm still figuring out the US healthcare suggest. So when you when you walk into see Dr is certain things that people need to be asking or demanding or requesting from their doctor late. This is what I wanna see this is what I wanna find out. What those things they should be asking for a good question. I I would say a comprehensive metabolic panel or C N P. And that's usually included most insurance companies give the patient at least one free sometimes to.
