How We've Been using Community's SMS As Another Marketing Channel
"Welcome to another episode of Marketing School I'm Eric. Su and I'm tall and today we're going to be talking about how we've been using community. That's community DOT COM were you've been using their SMS features as another marketing channel. So Neil, do you WANNA kick it off by explaining what community DOT COM is and I'll talk about what we've been doing. Sure. So if you listen to our podcast for awhile, you'll notice that the end of some episodes or even at the beginning of some episodes will tell you hey, Texas, and we'll give out a number of what's number. Is Three One oh, three, four, nine, three, seven, eight, five. and. I recommend that you Texas at this number. So you can get a feel of how it is but community is application that allows you to have text based communication with people thinking about how you do email messaging. You can do Massimo messaging you can personalize emails think of all those feeds looped in together in a from called community helps you personalize things and helps you automate things as well and that have your own phone number versus people texting like a short coder like that. So it makes it more personal than let's say someone doing a vote for American idol. Yep We've been using community for maybe let's call it a month or month and a half, and it's been great because we have a small group of people about two, hundred, fifty people and the list continues to get bigger. But when we're about to record, let's were recording today it's a it's a Friday what will do is we will text a group saying, Hey, what are your biggest marketing struggles right now or what are your biggest business challenges and a bunch of topics will flow through and I've actually dropped a couple of topics in here and so that actually makes our lives a lot easier. So a great for that plus people are actually seeing their topics live. As well, but the other thing we're doing to is were announcing when we're doing things because if we're trying to create a community telling people that, hey, we're going to be doing this live right now you guys can join us or let's say a meal both in La we say, Hey, you know we're going to be doing the meet up. You know it's going to be on us. There'd be doing the happy hour and everyone can join on. That's in the area that's core because it it fosters that impersonal communication. So there's a lot of different ways to use community but just think. Of It. This way your open rates when it comes to text messaging, I opened probably nine percent of texts that are sent to me. Your open rates are a lot higher and the the click rate has while I'm looking at our stats. You know when we send a link, it's like forty to fifty percent clicks rate. So the engagement is very high right now and usually when a when there's a hot new channel, this engagement rates are really high and I think more and more people are going to use it. I just don't get regulator not because I was talking to a body. It'll probably get regulators is the question of what I've already seen things circling around about regulations happening with SMS Yarka and I believe it because businesses aren't using like crazy right now but that will definitely change within a few years and then you're GonNa see all these rules and regulations of privacy concerns. It's like telemarketing. It's still hard core. Now, they still haven't managed to crack the code on that but for the time being there's a lot of different apps you can use out there community dot com one that that we use I believe they're investors are like Ashton Kutcher diddy in in in these people did tell you about the spam starting to get now on my iphone? No. There's facetime, right? Yeah. And the sad part is my email and phone number out there all over the web right 'cause like on social profile for so many years the amount of calls they get a days ridiculous on average publica. Forty fifty calls on any given day literally forty fifty calls from people I don't know and this is non like telemarketers is like people because it's in your signature everywhere right? Signature as well. That was like a million emails. Email, million people like you're GONNA get messages. But now, I'm starting to get facetime spam and you can see people just trying to face him in and like sometimes you can see like the email address has the name of based have instead of like a phone number, some really dating sites and I'm like I don't even know why just ignore it because I'm like I'm married I, have a wife I'm happy and like I know people are just trying to spam and scammy for money or whatever it may be but there's behavior here. For everyone just wants to make money. Yes. short-term thinking. But anyway guys, we think it's great for right now I think just use it in by the way the what the one thing I'll say about how we use to his were pretty non spammy. We send maybe one message awake and that's it. So we don't to send multiple messages. We just say, Hey, we're doing this and we'll say reply if you actually want the link and then we just check a bunch of. People that want to link, and we'll just send them the link and that's something that can be delegated to. If you happen to have assistance on your team, you could just do that and community has a dashboard that you can be using to. So Neil, I can give ask the Neil and he can give access to other people. So it's it's pretty cool in that respect.

Rihanna says she still loves Chris Brown, have 'a very close friendship'
"Today Daily Property Yana reveals she still loves Chris. Brown. Well, at least she did back in two thousand twelve oprah just reposted an interview to her super soul conversations podcast Arianna Open Dabbagh. Chris and whether she could forgive him, here's what she said. We've been working on our friendship began. Now we're very, very close friends. With built a trust again unless it like we love each other and probably always will an. Anything that we're going to try to team not something you can shut off if you've ever been in love You're seeing each other again. He's in a relationship of his own. I'm single. Do you think Chris Brown is a true love for you? Absolutely. I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love. And I see that he loved me the same way. A lot of people thought that it was unforgivable. Have you forgiven him? I have forgiven him. Wow. So this was a very serious and shocking interview. Do you think Riana still feels this way again, hundred mine the audience this isn't old interview that just got reposted. Here's the thing. And I said this in two, thousand twelve and I'm GonNa say it again in twenty twenty. For Riana I, feel like she never really got the closure she deserved in this situation. And anytime, there is three hundred and fifty million people influencing your decision you are going to go with what you think people want to see. So I truly believe had those photos not come out had we all known it? She probably would have went back into that relationship and then realized that it wasn't for her and then left but she never got that chance because everybody was in the business again I would not have told her to go back but I know some people do. And I know that's why a lot of relationships lingers because people never get that closure people feel like they never ever got that chance to say, Hey, I'm done I've grown out of this and I can't be a part of this. It's almost like she feels forced out of the relationship based on other people's opinions and everybody weighing in you know word on the street and this is super inside information. This I'm not even sure if this is correct, but there has been talks for years that this is obvious and it might have even been printed. So I don't know if I'm like dropping a bomb, but they've gotten into several altercations, physical altercations in the past where they were both. Physical towards each other right exact. Anyway. So there was a lot of speculation about that behind the scenes, kind of more under the radar for years that had been going on between them. Unfortunately, this incident did catch wind of the media and the public, and there were the photos that were leaked, which were absolutely horrific should have never happened so I do feel like you know that altercation happened when she was very much in love with somebody things got very out of hand and they were not okay H. and never get to that point. But then the entire world jumped in and was like you cannot love this man you need to leave. It was like, Whoa Whoa WHOA WHOA WHOA so it's kind of like one. J. Lo had to leave diddy when that whole court case was going on you know what I mean. It was just not good for her image she had to separate herself. So I feel like this does not surprise me at all that her feelings still linger. Of course, it was her first love they were like you feel that magnetic chemistry between them and then do you remember she did this interview and then she pop back up I was doing daily pop has more in the beginning and they had the the photo of them are in front of the car. You know what I'm talking about I was trying to forget that right now. I was trying to prevent it. They kindled for periods of time. Don't forget the birthday cake remix to when she came out with the song everybody say yes and then the remix came and it was him on the remix and she didn't want anybody. So it was like Oh. Maybe they're getting back together. Yeah Ain't nobody's business you remember that song. I know I it's such a complicated relationship with the pan. The band ain't got pulled off before she was ready to process it as remember in this interview, she goes on to talk about how it was. Really. took her long time to really realize where where she falls in like what love is supposed to look like because of her relationship with her father and she openly talked about how her father was used to her mother and so those when you grow up in that kind of situation, it's deeper than just. It's it's learning what love's supposed to look like learning love is and she was very young when this happened and as you guys said, it just took time to process all that I. Don't think that Riana still wants to be with Chris Brown in any way that ship has sailed I just think then there's like this love of while we never got to end it how we wanted to I never got that closure. It took me years to process how I even felt in that moment. I decided. No I feel like she wants to go back I feel like she wants to do it again but she knows that people are going to talk so much smack about her. If she goes back down people get week we're that bag I can't believe she did it I'm telling you. About. Why Since then I don't think. So yeah, why do you think the real quick Oprah's been reposting some of our old interviews, but she did not put a disclaimer like this is old this is from two thousand twelve. Do you think is kind of annoyed that this came out again? I don't think so I think when you go on Oprah, it's never easy conversation I. mean you had cookie Johnson talking about her husband's HIV status. You've had Whitney talked about her drug addictions Whitney Mother's talking about Sexuality Oprah is the place where you're going to go and have that hard conversation and once you say it, it's GonNa live on forever. So no, it's old t for sure but it's Oprah's status bill she pave.
SPACE WEEK: Every Moon, Ranked
"Too small notes before we hit you with some hot moon takes one. Obviously, we're not talking about all one hundred and fifty moons. We picked handful from the top ten, and then we'll do a lightning round on some others. All of these bodies meet the technical definition of Moon meaning they orbit an asteroid or a planet, not the Sun. Second Note. Jennifer's list also includes a few of what NASA calls provisional moons. These are bodies that are kind of, let's say unofficial maybe haven't been studied that well or confirmed yet. Yeah. So. I want to add that the scientists that I spoke to. They said that they're probably way more moons out there that we haven't even discovered yet. Well. So cool. Okay. All right. So number ten on your list diddy moon yet say, yes is did he moon? So, did he moon it's not circling a planet. It is actually circling an asteroid it. It is very tiny. It's about five hundred, twenty, four feet in diameter and it's orbiting. The asteroid diddy. Moss in it's it's kind of part of a very cool future NASA mission, right? Yes. So did he moon is part of a really important the item mission and the item mission is like this cosmic dress rehearsal basically, NASA wants to send a spacecraft to slam into diddy moon and knock it off course. Now I know what you're thinking. It sounds pretty familiar and yes, it is essentially the plot of Armageddon. Show me. But it's a really really important mission in it's going to help us test one of the ways that we think we might be able to potentially deflect a hazardous object that might be pearling towards earth. So cool. Okay. Number six called by one expert you talk to the most underrated moon in the solar system orbiting Jupiter Ganymede Ganymede. Ganymede is such a fascinating world Ganymede is the largest moon in our solar system. It's actually larger than Mercury Ganymede is also the only moon that we've known to have a magnetosphere. Cool. Earth has a magnetosphere and it's essentially this covering this kind of magnetic shell that we have of charged particles and what it does. It actually protects us from harmful radiation. So there's tons of radiation that's generated by the sun and from interstellar space, and that magnetosphere protects us it's potentially allowed life to form. Can I tell you that I am horrified to report I thought Ganymede was a made up moon Scifi show the expanse. Oh. Yes on that. Farm on Ganymede and I'm like it was a fun made up plays I love that shout the expanse it's a great show. Yeah no can't meet is just so fascinating. So number four on your list orbiting Neptune. Triton. Yes. Triton is an absolute misfit. First of all I will say it looks just like a cantaloupe if you look at the picture. How was ranked keep going I, mean, that is, of course, the important feature. But really, what's cool about Triton is that it's essentially this kind of Pluto sized object that we believe has been captured by Neptune and now orbits the planet and temperatures on Triton and we we know this thanks to the voyager two spacecraft but temperatures on Triton have dipped as low as minus three hundred ninety one degrees Fahrenheit. Super Cold Nope nope. nope. nope things. But it's partially because it's got like this ice covered surface right and that reflects a ton of the light that it receives that it's by. Yeah absolutely. That's that's another really weird thing about Tritan on it has what's called an incredibly high Albedo. So that's basically a measurement of how much late a body reflects. and. Triton's is actually really high. It reflects about seventy percent of the sunlight. It receives I'm like in Triton I'm going to be honest with you Ganymede. But I'm like Triton right now array. Okay. Time for the top three Jennifer. Are you prepared I? Think so bronze-medal orbiting Saturn Moon. That contains the big four ingredients for life hydrogen carbon nitrogen and oxygen enceladus. Yeah. So enceladus is absolutely fascinating moon. So the Cassini mission when it arrived to observe Saturn's moons, it noticed that there were jets spewing out of ENCELADUS, right? So they actually took a detour and had Cassini swing through those jets to collect samples of that liquid into turned out to be liquid water right? I remember when that happened that was wild. That was like a big deal. Yes. Absolutely, and so it really spurred a lot of interest in enceladus. Of course, we love Europa. But enceladus is really this kind of new and exciting moon and you know as you mentioned, it has the big four ingredients for life. That's really just an incredible sign that this might be one of the places where we find life. Okay. Number two on the list orbiting Jupiter lot of Okano's and some lightning. I oh. Yes. So I will admit that I have some volcanic. I really love of volcanoes. Thank you for disclosing that conflict of interest Jennifer I have to be I have to be honest. I'm anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love volcanoes. So naturally, I O, which is the most volcanically active body in our solar system would have to take second there are over four hundred volcanoes on the surface of Iowa and they spew jets of. Lava hundreds of miles and two space. It's really incredible. Okay. So this is the wildest thing about Iot to me is that I owe can generate like true current. Yes. So of all of the Galilee and moons of Jupiter, Iowa's actually the closest to Jupiter and so sweeps through its magnetic field and that causes it to create this electric current it can generate. As much as three million amperes, and actually this jolt of electricity is then shot back to Jupiter and it creates lightning in the planet's. Fear I mean, that's cooler than the volcanoes. Some some people would say that. Yes. Okay. Your number one moon Jennifer orbiting. Saturn. A Moon I could walk on with potentially nothing more than an oxygen. Mask Titan. So Titan. Is. The only other place that we've observed so far that has a thick substantial atmosphere. So our atmosphere of course is. Critical for life here on earth and tighten, it has a similar has a sort of similar atmospheric also mostly composed of nitrogen but the second most common gas in the atmosphere is actually methane. So right. So instead of like US having oxygen the next most abundant compound in that moons atmosphere in Titan's atmosphere is methane. Yeah. Absolutely, and you think about Earth, we have a water on earth all. Three phases of water on earth. So there's liquid and gas and ice but on Titan you have liquid methane on the surface, which is really really incredible. It's the only other body in the solar system that we've observed to have liquid on its surface, and these are rivers and lakes and seas of methane and ethane part of the reason why it's got this like, orange Gooby Hayes, around the moon. Yes. So Essay in the methane on those hydrocarbons, that kind of creates it's it's really this I feel like it's really beautiful. It's this kind of soft orangish glow. So it looks a little bit fuzzy whereas other moons that don't have an atmosphere they. They look very sharp but this is very, it's a very muted known. It's. Yeah. Beautiful I think. Yeah. So. Before we go Jennifer we had to leave out a of sweet moons. So we're GONNA do lightning round. I'm going to mention a moon from your list and you give us one moon. Moon Pinions, but moon fax perfect. That sounds great. Okay. Number Forty, one Jupiter's moon ammonia. Yes. So a Mafia is actually the object in our solar system and we aren't one hundred percent. Sure. Why beautiful reds my favorite coloreds promoted to thirty one. Okay Number Twenty Jupiter's Moon Callisto. So Callisto is thought to have the. Surface in the entire solar system. Pretty Sweet. Okay. Number eighteen and nineteen combined also Saturn Moons Atlas and Pan. Atlas and Pan Look like giant Ravioli with aerial around their equator. It's so much fun. Okay. Number Thirteen one of the two moons around Mars Phobos some phobos is a giant rubble pile on track to either fling itself into Mars or split apart in orbit on some missions. Actually proposed a pit stop on the tiny moon on our way to the Red Planet love it. Okay. Number Eleven, Maranda orbiting Uranus. So Miranda is home to Verona Rupe. It's the tallest cliff in the solar system. If you fell off its edge, you would have time to read the newspaper before you hit the ground. Okay.
Joe Biden close to picking a running mate
"Joe Biden said last week that he'd pick his running mate this week. But he did not say when that announcement would be made. Fox's Jackie Heinrich reports it could happen any time as the convention draws closer. All eyes are on Wilmington for any sign of movement. Biden hasn't indicated who's at the top. But a number of contenders have been raking in big bucks for his campaign. Senator Elizabeth Warren tops the mall with 7.7 million. So far. Senator Kamala Harris rounds out second with more than five million, according to Politico. But Biden will also have to consider mounting pressure to select a black VP. More than 100 blackmail leaders, including Sean Diddy Combs and Charlemagne, the God wrote, failing to select a black woman in 2020 means you will lose theologian. Biden promised months ago that he would choose a woman for his running mate. A
Victoria Chang: Obit (Part One)
"I rent her for the first time. After I read a review of her new book in The Los Angeles Review of books the book is called Albeit. It's published by the Wonderful Poetry Press Copper Canyon and I have been living in the wake of my parents death for some time and been living in an amalgam of grief and sorrow and memory loss and this book obe. It is remarkable book about the death of the poets parents written in the form of orbits of obituaries brief obits eventually as the book proceeds golfed is lost is language dies. The death of the parent is the death of much of what we value in life. If we allow ourselves to feel it now as I understand it this book had a burst of Creation. That led to your writing poem after poem after poem. What was that like? It was exhausting actually but necessary My mom died in in August of Twenty fifteen and it was so incredibly depressing in so many ways and the typical things that happen to people. You know you just feel so so bad worse than you've ever felt and could imagine that you could ever feel and I've always written as a way to sort of navigate the world but I didn't want to write traditional allergies for all sorts of reasons and so I just read a lot in those may be six to eight months when I wasn't writing anything in I read a lot of nonfiction. Actually so books about grief. Joan diddy in Meghan. O'rourke really wonderful writers. I I read them all and Sometime in maybe February or March I was sitting in a car and listening to NPR and Heard a piece on a documentary called obits in the documentary is all about obituary writers. And so there's just something about the way that that word just hung in my ears with that long and short t- that I went home in started just writing these obituaries. Pichu Aries for everything that we lose when someone dies and that's sort of what happened with this process. It was two weeks I hardly slept. Hardly ate ice just sort of kept on going and it was this really Cathartic Less Azeri process for my own grieving. Had that ever happened to you before a period of inspiration. That didn't let up. Yeah I after I had my children. I just didn't have any time left for any so I'm sure lots of people of your listeners can relate to that and Yes so I ended up writing. Starting maybe with my third book the boss which Mix Sweeney's did and I just you know right in pockets so any pocket that I can find if I'm feeling that I in that sort of how Britain since that book is in you know in cars in waiting for them to finish things and That kind of inspiration kind of hits me now in ways it. It never used it before. And I don't know if that's a function of just getting older or just not having time or a combination of all those things and feeling a lot more passion and deep nece and Emotions that I hadn't felt before when I was younger. This tawdry book bit by my Guest Victoria. Jiang was that rare thing for poetry books. It was useful. It was giving me instruction on because among the obituaries there are several that Vittoria rights for herself. The self who knew her parents who lived with her parents. You become aware really. That part of your grief is for the person you knew before who took it. As a matter of course that your parents might be elderly. They might be ill but they were always there and suddenly a language that you're used to speaking that you don't really necessarily regard is particularly consulting. That language is gone and you need. It's consolation anyone. Who's how'd anyone died? Hardly feels all of these things But I had never experienced that before and you know my father is actually still alive but he died twelve years ago in my mind because he lost all of his ability to communicate to me in ways that we used to talk In my mother you know used to have a very sort of our own language in many ways and it sounds so cliche but every single person I feel like we know where we need and we know well. We have our own special way of communicating with that person and special looks. You know little little ways of not saying things or just words that only use with each other and when they die. You don't really think about this when they're alive because you take them for granted but they take it all away with them.
Andre Harrell, music exec who discovered Diddy, dies at 59

Was Diddy right about forcing Joe Biden to have an agenda for Black people?
"You never really know who's going to shine during a pandemic during a crisis but A person in a voice that I think has really stepped up in a major way has been Naomi Campbell who has done some amazing interviews and And even just had some conversations herself about the pandemic about politics and Of course I mean she is a woman who's traveled and seeing the entire world but she's just been brilliant throughout the pandemic with just deep insights and thoughts and yesterday she had a conversation with diddy and apart of that conversation was about the presidential race and did he gave his thoughts on it. And I want to play that clip for you now. Black born is now going to be for free. We're going to have to see some promises. What are we in return for? I'll quote nothing has changed for Black America and in order for us to vote for biding. We can't be taken for granted like we always because we're supposed to be Democrats off because people are afraid and trump so I was going to take him out. Community level was to make a deal. This is business at this point. You know we can't truth follow. Titians you know so. We WanNa know very clearly just like trump made it clear that he wanted to build the wall vitamins to make clear that he's GonNa Change Lives in quality of life of black and Brown people else. He can't get the boat. I will hold a vote hostage. Ivine now. I saw and heard that clip earlier this morning when my friend. Sholom in God. He posted it and he posted a loan. Caption if you go to my instagram now or Charlemagne's Instagram I reposted Charlemagne's caption where you could just go to Charlemagne's page and check it out for yourself. I agree with everything they did. He said they're like I. I would say it even stronger. I think it's it's ridiculous to say otherwise but it's a bit of a roar test Which wish if the ink blood tests where you Somebody shows you ink blots and you tell them what you see I heard what did he said. It was like Yep. That's right we need to make sure that Joe Biden actually has an agenda for us and I I heard that and I'm like yeah of course. What other scenario are we saying that we don't care if Joe Biden has an agenda for us because what did he is saying is true? Black people almost exclusively put Joe Biden in the position. He's in right now and he doesn't come close to winning. The presidential election in November without the black vote and all saying is. Hey we need to let him know. Hey if you actually in real life want us to show up and vote for you like in a major way if you want us to put you over the top talk to US clearly about your agenda show us the policies show us the plans show us the strategies instead of just saying that you're going to be different than trump or that. You're better than trump. Can WE BE PRACTICAL. Can you talk to us about your economic policies? Can you talk to us about your justice policies? Can you talk to us about your healthcare community development policies? Can You? Can you speak on these things? And I see several of my friends including Kenny Burns who? I'm doing an interview with later this afternoon saying. Hey Hey that's reckless asked my brother Isaac as the third also posting. Hey everything they did. He said right. There was completely wrong and I was shocked because everything I heard in everything charlemagne heard and and I see many of you even on my instagram debating. It right now. I agree with every bit of it. It's outrageous I mean if it's a city council person if it's a local mayor if it's if it's a state representative if somebody for Congress we should always require of them that they have an agenda that as much as we can make it is binding that they have some type of binding commitment to our concerns and other people are saying no no no. No No. Don't say that. Don't say that you just need to vote for Joe Biden no matter what. And here's the thing. Black folks are gonNA show up and vote for Joe Biden Black Folk vote almost ninety five percent for the Democratic candidate and black folk will show up. But what we know in Michigan in Wisconsin in a place like Georgia Florida North Carolina and others. Is that if you actually want to win? Black folk have to go all out and we saw that in two thousand and eight and two thousand twelve of course with Barack Obama but black folk while black folks showed up to vote in huge numbers for Hillary Clinton in any place where the turn out was depressed even a little bit in in Milwaukee in Wisconsin or in Michigan. She lost. And it's okay for us to say to Democratic candidates to democratic nominees. And let's be real as I record this. It's still April. Were still in the primary. It's okay in April to say. Hey Joe Biden I wanna make sure you actually have an agenda for US okay. Like that's not an let's be real did he is not making threat. He is saying that we all deserve to have a presidential candidate. That has an agenda that actually represents our needs. Our concerns are our biggest issues and that they have to have a plan. And we wanna see it because what we've seen for most of our lives is presidential candidates who desperately rely on our vote but have no agenda for us have no plans for us. They plan on being generally nice. But we need something more than general nicety like we need people that have an actual policy agenda for the concerns and issues that we have and I'm grateful For diddy who didn't say. Hey I'm not voting for Joe Biden he just said Hey We're at the stage. In American history where the Democratic candidate needs to have a serious agenda for black folk and anybody who looks at this situation says otherwise is ridiculous and I see other people saying. Hey He's saying that from a place of privilege I don't I don't understand that. No He's saying it from a position of authority of somebody who generally doesn't go into making a deal with somebody unless the deal is good for everybody in what we want to understand is HBO. We're GONNA make this deal with you. Not only where you are the Democratic nominee but where we go all out to make sure you win the race. Exactly what are you going to do? And if that's a problem for you saying something like that then we need to have a big conversation like we need to go deeper if saying that much Riles you up. And gets you frustrated? Then you have probably been eating crumbs under the table for so long that you are used to people over promising and under delivering. You're used to not getting anything like the U. S. just the standard and so I see a lot of what I think are just outrageous. Criticisms of what he said I think people understandably so so badly want to defeat Donald trump that they are afraid to even ask Joe Biden for favor and is lying. No no we can do. Both we can defeat Donald Trump and in April still argue that they are some things. Joe Biden needs to do and do differently for him to garner our full support.
Every Moon, Ranked
"Too small notes before we hit you with some hot moon takes one. Obviously we're not talking about all one hundred fifty eight moons. We picked a handful from the top ten and then we'll do a lightning round on some others. All of these bodies meet the technical definition of Moon meaning they orbit an asteroid or planet not the Sun Second Note. Jennifer's list also includes a few of what NASA calls provisional moons. These are bodies that are kind of let's say unofficial maybe haven't been studied that well or confirmed yet. Yeah and so I wanna add that the scientists that I spoke to. They said that they're probably way more. Moons out there that we haven't even discovered yet well so cool okay all right so number ten on your list. Diddy moon yet. That how I say where is did he moon So did he moon. It's not circling a planet. It is actually circling an asteroid wall. It is very tiny. It's about five hundred twenty four feet in diameter and it's orbiting The Asteroid Diddy Moss in. It's it's kind of part of a very cool future NASA mission right. Yes so did he. Moon is part of a really important mission. The item mission and the item mission is like this. 'cause MIK dress rehearsal. Basically NASA wants to send a spacecraft to slam into Diddy Moon. And knock it off course now. I know you're thinking it sounds pretty familiar. And yes. It is essentially the plot of Armageddon Shiny. But it's a really really important mission in. It's going to help us. Test one of the ways that we think we might be able to potentially deflect a hazardous object that might be hurdling towards earth. So cool okay. Number six called by one expert you talk to the most underrated moon. In the solar system orbiting Jupiter Ganymede. Ganymede Ganymede is such a fascinating world. Ganymede is the largest moon in our solar system. It's actually larger than mercury. Ganymede is also the only moon that we've known to have a magnetosphere cool earth has a magnetosphere and it's essentially this covering this kind of magnetic shell that we have of charged particles and what it does is it actually protects us from harmful radiation. So there's tons of radiation that's generated by the sun and from interstellar space and that magnetosphere protects us. It's potentially allowed life to form. Can I tell you that I am horrified to report that I thought Ganymede was a made up? Moon Sci fi show the expanse oh yes farm on Ganymede and I'm like Oh that's a fun made up plays. I love that shout to the expanse. It's a great show. Yeah Gimme that is just so fascinating. So number four on your list orbiting Neptune Triton. Yes the training is an absolute misfit. First of all I will say it looks just like a cantaloupe. If you look at the picture was ranked keep going. I mean that is of course the important feature but really what's cool about Triton is that it's essentially this kind of Pluto sized objects that we believe has been captured by Neptune and now orbits the planet And temperatures on Triton. And we we know this. Thanks to the. Voyager two spacecraft but temperatures on Triton have dipped as low as minus three hundred ninety one degrees Fahrenheit super cold. Nope no thanks. No but it's partially because it's got like this ice covered surface right. And that reflects a ton of the light that it receives is that it's fine. Yeah absolutely. That's that's another really weird thing about Tritan. It has what's called an incredibly high Albedo. So that's basically a measurement of how much light a body reflects and Triton's is actually really high. It reflects about seventy percent of the sunlight. It receives. I'm like in Triton. I'm going to be honest with you. Got a good at it. But I'm like Triton right now all right okay time for the top three Jennifer. Are you prepared? I think so. Bronze-medal orbiting Saturn Moon that contains the big four ingredients for life. Hydrogen Carbon Nitrogen and oxygen enceladus. Yes so enceladus is an absolutely fascinating moon so the Cassini mission when it arrived to observe Saturn's moons it noticed that there were spewing out of enceladus so they actually took a detour and had Cassini swing through those jets to collect samples of that Liquid into turned out to be liquid water right. I remember when that happened. That was wild. That was like a big deal. Yes absolutely and so it really spurred a lot of interest in enceladus of course we love Europa but enceladus really this kind of new and exciting moon and as you mentioned it has the big four ingredients for life. That's really just an incredible sign that this might be one of the places where we find life okay number two on the list orbiting Jupiter. Lot of okay knows and some lightning I. Oh yes so. I will admit that I have some volcanic bias. I really love volcanoes. Thank you for disclosing that conflict of Interest Jennifer. I have to be. I have to be honest. I'm anyone who knows me knows that. I absolutely love volcanoes so naturally I o which is the most volcanically active body in our solar system would have to take second. There are over four hundred volcanoes on the surface of I O and they spew jets of lava hundreds of miles into space. It's really incredible. Okay so this is. The wildest thing about Iot to me is that I. A- can generate like an electric current yes so of all of the gala land moons of Jupiter is actually the closest to Jupiter and so it sweeps through its magnetic field and that causes it to create this electric current and can generate as much as three million amperes and actually this jolt of electricity is then shot back to Jupiter and it creates lightning in the planet's upper atmosphere. I mean that's cooler than the volcanoes. Some some people would say that. Yes okay your number one moon Jennifer orbiting Saturn a moon. I could walk on with potentially nothing. More than an Oxygen Mask Titan. Yeah so titan actually is the only other place that we've observed so far that has a thick substantial atmosphere so our atmosphere of course is critical for life here. On Earth and tighten it has a similar has a sort of similar atmosphere. It's also mostly composed of nitrogen but the second most common gas. Indie atmosphere is actually methane. So right so instead of like us. Having oxygen the next most abundant compound in that moons atmosphere. In Titan's atmosphere is methane. Yeah absolutely and you think about Earth. We have a water on earth we have all three phases of water on our southern liquid and gas and ice but on Titan you have liquid methane on the surface which is really really incredible. It's the only other body in the solar system that we've observed to have liquid on its surface and these are rivers and lakes and seas of methane.
Jennifer Lopez reunites with ex Diddy on 'Dance-A-Thon,' says Alex Rodriguez is 'biggest fan'

"We think about people our lives dying I think the we see all the time and TV and movie images for instance you know. This sort of the worst nightmare is just receiving. Phone call And you know this is to inform you. I have some bad news for you and you think. Oh my God how Calamitous. You know not even a chance to to say anything. This person's gone But actually this week. We're going to look at what. I think is a far more common scenario and certainly if our inbox is any indication we get dozens of letters of people grappling with what? We're calling the long goodbye when you know that a loved one especially apparent which is what we'll talk about for this episode but anybody who's terminally ill there weeks months sometimes years that you know that you have to say goodbye to this person and they're all sorts of very complicated feelings that come up when you're facing a long goodbye and this is something listeners of the show will now this close to our own hearts because we both have long goodbyes of of varying lengths. Mine was very brief. Yours was many years and we had to say goodbye to our mothers and I frankly feel lucky that I didn't get that phone call with the sudden news that my mom died but also having that long goodbye. How is its own form of sorrow and torture? You have to see somebody. You love very much suffer. So we're actually going to hear one letter that is from a young woman who is facing a long goodbye and the second letter that will here is the aftermath of a long goodbye and I should mention that you know when we recorded. This first letter was several months ago and I was in the situation a letter writer thinking about my mom who was still alive and when we recorded the second letter sadly My mom had died so I was right. There in the middle of that aftermath grappling with some of the same feelings is the letter writer. So let's listen to that letter. Now Steve Stewart dear sugar three years ago. My father was diagnosed with stage. Four cancer when he was diagnosed twenty five and in graduate school out of state. Seventeen hours away. It was hard but as the years have gone by I have graduated and fallen in love in my new state. I'm in a serious relationship and have moved my younger brother out here as well. My Dad says to live my life and he would rather me stay where I am than move closer to home. If it makes me happy. Some days I don't know I have guilt. The type of guilt were all be sitting thinking about how? I'm a terrible daughter and my father is home with my mother. Dying without me. He could die a year from now or ten years from now. Am I being selfish? How do children cope with us? I feel responsible for my parents. Even though I know they only want the best for me and my crappy daughter. I took their son away as well. I feel like I have abandoned them but I don't know what to do. I don't want to move home but I don't want them to feel like I don't want to be there sincerely. Daddy's girl who daddy's girl when I read those words really my my heart hurts because you know I was that girl in my twenties whose mom did die of cancer. My Mom died when I was twenty. Two and she was forty five. And you know the question for me. It wasn't is my mom going to die in a year or ten years. You know I knew that my mom was going to die quickly and she died seven weeks to the day after her diagnosis. And one of the things I want to say to you. Daddy's girl is that the most important thing for you to do in this period of time. It's just a love the people you love with abandon and truth because you know we all could die anytime we all die tomorrow. You know we don't know when that will be but I really do feel so lucky you know that I had that opportunity to know. My mom had that diagnosis. I could say to her how important she was to me. It wasn't about being there every minute. It was about being present emotionally and it sounds to me like Daddy's girl you know certainly does that with her father and her parents well the other thing just to pause a moment and say what a beautiful guy to say to his daughter. Live your life. The problem is daddy's girl. You feel guilty anyway. And that's part of the problem when it's a long goodbye when it's acute and sudden okay. Be there. They're very simple in a way. It simplifies it. She says it could be ten years and it could be a year from now and in a way that really puts the sort of Damocles mostly loaded with guilt overhead which is perfectly understandable and Daddy's girl. You have to recognize the only thing you can do at this. Point is affect your love in the world as well as you can the emphasis when death is there is always On death and what I love. There's this wonderful quote from Joan diddy in that. WanNa read because it seems to me to put the emphasis on the living. What is left of life? She writes. I'm not telling you to make the world better. I'm just telling you to live in it not just to endure it not just to suffer it not just a pass through it but to live in it to look at it to try to get the picture to live recklessly to take chances to make your own work and take pride in it to seize the moment and if you ask me why you should bother to do that. I could tell you the graves of fine and private place but none. I think do there embrace. Nor did they sing their or right or argue or see the tidal bore on the Amazon or touch their children. And that's where there is to do and get it while you can and good luck at it which I think in in his own way is what the father is trying to say to you. Daddy Screw Your Dad is trying to say live your life and the other side of that is being as involved with your dad as you can. Right now lacks connection. You don't have to live in the same town as someone if you just because you love them dearly and I do think too that you know with a long-term Cancer Diagnosis. What you have are very different stages of that kind of dying and there will come a time when it will be appropriate. That she goes to him and maybe stays with him for months. That's a very different prospect than picking up your life and living in a town near father just because he might ten years parish from cancer right and then there's this line I took their son away as well and this is I think what happens when we feel just so much guilt because somebody we love is ill you know. She's taking on her brother's decision making. He's an adult. He decided to this state right. You we take on extra baggage in a certain way. You have an opportunity now that you know there's a limited time horizon where it's much more real to you to talk with your dad about what his life of and what your relationship has been and what he thinks of what you're making your life and the things that you're involved in trying to seize the day after all. I think that's what parents want. Yeah when we were really didn't This letter and talking about having it on the show. I really my mind went immediately to my friend Robin Romm. Who's a beautiful writer? She's written two books mother garden and the mercy papers. Both the deeply grapple with Her own experience with her mother who died of cancer and we have her in the studio today and we should mention mother. Gordon is a collection of stories. And mercy papers is a memoir that I think grapples with that moment. Which is the acute phase after a long illness and what in a very intense beautiful sort of searingly honest way what that is like at the very end but anyway we are so delighted? Robin that you're here and thank you for joining us. I wrong so much for having me. Hi Guys so. Can you tell us first? Your story so. My mom was diagnosed with cancer when I was nineteen. I had just finished my first year of college and I was living on the East Coast and she was in Oregon and it was a pretty serious diagnosis. She got a whole bunch of treatment. It's been a long time now. I don't remember every single piece of the initial few years but she went into remission for about a year and a half an after that was sick for about. Oh I don't know maybe eight more years so she was sick a total of probably nine years all your twentieth all through my twenty S. I was nineteen when she got sick and I was twenty eight when she died and I really related to the Daddy's girl ladder because that question of four. How long am I supposed to put everything on? Hold to deal with this crisis and it's at such a difficult time when you're in your twenties and you're trying to figure out like how you're going to be in the world and you're going to graduate school or you're having children are getting married or you're in relationships or you're moving or whatever it's a very. It's a time of life that I think in this country in our sort of current culture is you're allowed to be a little selfish and to set those things up for yourself and so it's very difficult to figure out how to put all those needs aside and still be. Come the person that you want to be in the midst of being pulled back into the family and pull back into this role that you're now a daughter again. You're back in the family home dealing with family and also your apparent to apparent before you've even parented your own kids or anything like forced to be a parent and it. I found it just deeply difficult to figure all that out. I went home several times. I had gone from working full-time to graduate school and during summer like before Graduate School Semester. I had gone home and my mom was pretty sick. Everybody thought she was going to die and then she took an experimental drug and she got better for a while and so I had to make the decision. Do I stay. I don't know how long she'll be better for or go and do a semester so I went back to graduate. School started my coursework about three weeks in. I got this phone call from my mother's friends hate heard if your fingers turn blue. You've got three days to live and they'd my mother's fingers. They said we're turning blue so through stuff in a bag and drove from Berkeley. Where I lived to Eugene or my mom was and wound up withdrawing from school and staying. I had no idea how long I would be home. But it wasn't the end. It was another you know prolonged period of time. And it's just you can't plan around those things either. Which makes them so difficult. You don't know in a death like that often when it's coming and when it's going to come in three months and when it's GonNa come in six months or two weeks and it makes it so impossible to make like a quote unquote good decisions. And so I think that feeling of like I'm a crappy daughter I can't make the right decision is the only feeling available first of all. I don't think you're gonNA feel like yes now. I've landed on the right thing it's crappy to go home and sit around it's crappy to feel far

"Look at these arms. What's happening there? Do you work out like crazy. Just trust me. They're good no. I don't work out like crazy. I just I work out a bit. Who Ride Bikes and I play tennis and Electric. Mind but yeah. I don't have an electric bike. I see people with electric bikes. I go. That's an electric bike. I don't like what is that giant path on the front of it. That isn't electric bike on electric party. I don't have an electric bike. It's not all right. All right people really angry when when no I thought for sure. It wasn't electric bike because it looked like it with that big thing on there. Nope all right. I believe you. I don't think you'RE GONNA lie. Those are my arms one of my favorite moments of the week. Let's talk about this. This was this was. This was sweet. Oh my gosh. So there's a group of kids around the country who are part of an organization called Fan fighting all monsters yeah. Fam The thing. These kids all have in common is that they are all battling there in one stage or another of battling some form of childhood cancer which is just heartbreaking on. What you just can't no one can understand it right now. Nothing seems fan so they have created this. They went a little bit viral by. They started doing this little like dance and plea to meet diddy. They wanted to meet Puff Daddy. Why at well? They're they're they're theme. Song is the song bad boys for life which was a ditty song. So they're doing it to that song and they decide they're gonNA try and get ditties attention right and did he got did. He's attention. He saw it and he got it and said how much he appreciated it and how it inspired him and of course we at the Ellen show we gotta take it one step further right so we flew ten of these kids and their families here. There's imagine hundreds of them around the country who are in this group We flew ten of them and their families here and we surprise them with diddy which was such a sweet thing. Both on the promote. He wasn't here to promote he. Just did it out of the kindness of his heart. And then so we're gonNA play this clip and then just know that after this appearance on the show where he did this he then he owns. This ridiculous Rolls Royce. That I'm aware of. Because the last time he was here he was late and we had a camera in the alley waiting for him and he rolls up in this thing and it is just absolutely. It's just ridiculous car. And he took all of them in his car and drove them around the lot for like twenty minutes just hanging out with them. Kids dreams come true. Yeah so listen to this clip. This is really special real. Thank.

"Today's drop podcast. We're going to discuss Michael Porter. Junior's sexy asking. We'll get into the heat's zone defense locking up. The defending champs task is going to hit us with his worst of the week nominees. Jd got a little twist. I I've learned to the punt gun. Well no PUN gun today breaking you finally broken. Try some new try some a new vote. We'll see how flies okay. Okay but before we get to all of that on Thursday Luca Dodge and Yanni's onto Takubo hoople. They lead their respective conferences in the first fan returns for the twenty twenty. NBA All Star game voting. Luca actually leads all players with over one point seven million votes a mere five hundred and ninety nine more than the Greek freak. Who is the top vote getter in the East Lebron the only other player with more than a million votes through the initial round so if the voting were to end today and was only decided by the fans? We know that it's not the account for fifty percent of the vote and then twenty five five percent goes to a player vote another twenty five percent goes to the media vote anyway. This is how it would shakedown Luca. Lebron Anthony Davis I Leonard and James Harden would be the starters for the Western Conference while Jaanus Dwell Embiid Siaka trae young and Kyrie Irving would start for or the east guys. You've had a chance to look at the again. I returns here biggest surprise. What's your biggest prize? What were you ended right there? The back court in the eastern conference both shocking Kyrie Irving. Who hasn't played much? This season would be starting probably not a good look. Ah also TRAE. Young played for the worst team in the league also started that far less offensive. I would say because the Eastern Conference Guard spot always the spot where guys kind of float in and out and you'd never really have strongholds there because it's always a questions seems seems like the last several years so Kemba Walker should be in there and then the other spot is is up for debate. Whether it's trae young or I guess Jimmy Butler is not being shifted to guard. That's not happening. I think we've decided the craziest part. Apparently the teams choose where they want their player to be nominated. Jimmy Butler would be starting if he were if you were a guard. I mean he'd be a thousand behind Kyrie irving over the course of things. He's GonNa pass up Kyrie but the East all-stars look kinda crazy right now when you look got it because I would think he may be have Butler oversee outcome as well in the front court. Yup Yup me but just because his team is doing well and see missed few games recently. Yeah when I was a couple of days ago I did the whole like. Here's my all-star votes and threw up on twitter and I and I did say I like because I can't put Jimmy Butler at a guard position That makes things very difficult So I think he's a deserving starting all star so that I had him bumping Siaka the ACA as a forward along with you on there and then yeah. I guess that I know weird way I was like well. Maybe it is lower than is deserving starter as one of the raptors. But it's it's it's tough what's what's the big do well. The big thing that stands out to me is you've got five foreign born guys in this top. Ten players net career having is foreign born even though he's technique leak American but Steve the point. I'm trying to make. Is You know we kind of talked about trying to shake up the way the game is played whether ever would be quality international players versus quality. US born players. And we're not there yet but if you look Janas Joel Embiid Pascal. Siaka we getting close to that. Then you've got got guys like Yo kitchen porzingas. Putting his probably weren't being all star. Yokich will be an all star and Ben. Simmons is another one who probably will be in a lot. You're saying you want to see you team. USA versus the twelve qualified farnborough players. One on one go for it like kiss his daughter. You're ready for the for the rising stars game and again. It always has to come down to the deserving all stars. You can't just throw in a farm born just to balance things out if he's taking the place of a US born who's who's deserving of his spot. But I just think you know this is the way the League is going. I mean last you look at all the awards except for one. We're one by farnborough employers. It's not just shows the impact of the game around the world and I think we're getting close to where the NBA might as well. Just say. Hey We've got twelve of these twelve foreign born players. Try it well right now. The League has got the picking teams going on right now. And it's doing fairly well and if something's doing okay then you you gotta run with that right now. You mean the captain's cabin picking teams should be before the game. But they're picking them you know a few days beforehand or whatever they are so they should go with that right now and see where that lands lance but I hear the foreign born situation sure I love I love how smart the NBA is with this though the timing of it all these releasing these I fan Dan returns and I know we'll get to some of the silly names on the list in the top ten within the front court and the guards in both conferences but they they release this and have you noticed on the day they release it and the following day they released it or that you're allowed to you can vote for your guys and accounts for double votes so I think it's all part of their plan they drop drop this first one and go and so some fans go what Kimball Walker Kim Walker should be starting the All star game. He's more deserving than trae young and Kyrie Irving. Well what a perfect perfect time to make your your vote count for even more than it usually does with the double vote. I think by the next time we see this next week. January ninth is the next returns. They're going to be released Kemberton. Me will have leapfrog both of those guys. The only needs four hundred fifty votes which is only two hundred and twenty-five today. Thank you one man. I could do it. They put the work in. It is so smart. Yeah look maybe down the line Lear right we will see something like that but right now it is the cabinets task. Says you think dunk can hang in with Janas. Yarmuth was jokes off opposite a Lebron last year during the draft. and that's kind of impressive to see him hanging with the king but now Luca year to he's got to go against. It's getting these jobs off. We'll see we saw in Mexico. Remember he was pretty smooth Berkshire with the microphone this well. It'd be interesting. You think. Luka will hold Loft Lebron for the most votes not probably shouldn't they should absolutely get all the guys involved because he he sean in an edited version but they should have all twenty four guys on the floor and the and the fact that James Harden grabbed the mic. And make a joke you know and take some some of the pressure off. Luca Danni because it's going to be very soft spoken okay. And he's he's not gonNA be able to. He's not a WW wrestler. It's hard for him to run a two minute bit. That's not easy. That's not easy and everybody. You should take part. The vets should help him out and Yannis was fine but that was also you know. He's that was the sixth year in the League. Or what's going to happen. Though is the foreign the guys who speak a second language or third ED language. You'RE GONNA start joking with each other making fun of the dude. Don't speaking of Kobe. Bryant referee every single draft. Yeah Kobe he spoke Slovene the other day. Luke thought you ask a few swear words teas and finish trying to figure it out just back back to this this east guards voting here though if okay. Jimmy can't be guard. I mean he's a forward who are your two guards you voting for them right now. If if you had to you know cast your ballot and count those votes. Who Do you go with? I'm voting for Kemba Walker and Ben. Simmons are two choices. I think Simmons you know this. The numbers pure numbers aren't super extravagant. But he is given you something on the defensive end in the he is a unique player. Who I think would be fun in an all star Game? Also the seventy sixers are pretty good. I don't know if they're to all stars good but Ben Simmons seems to be a higher profile player than anybody else that you would really realistically put as you're starting guard. It sounds like we all probably agree on campus. So it is. WHO's that second one? All Celtics back coat with Jaylen Brown. I think he's been great this year. The Celtics have been great. I think he's been good at both ends of the floor. The numbers again you know. Twenty seven not super super numbers. There's so many guys like trae young. Who is has incredible numbers about TM? Yeah there's a bunch of Aga's beal sort of in that mix too but it's like. Yeah it's like you're Brogden lowry's and your devante grams even in like it. It seems to would be like a Lotta similar numbers. And the reason I'm going with Brown is He's been great and the Celtics are winning. So I'm I'm giving whiting my vote in that respect but but try young Has Been Great but I mean they've won seven games so he wanted to do. I mean when when it comes down to a a split hairs like that I do put it towards the guy who's playing well and his team is winning. I mean that's just my wife. Did you say if he doesn't Get voted in as a starting all star trae young so you think he'll still get selected. I think so I think more likely to get in by the A fan. Vote and the initial vote rather than coaches who always reward winning. Yeah I sort of agree with that though players love scoring because players were very very high. Remember stuff like that. So yeah they they take part in that the quote unquote starter vote. That's what you're saying. Yeah Yeah right right right. The twentieth the coaches are the ones who picked the reserves. And they often they don't pick guys who lose. I would throw trae young in the starting lineup. I understand that he's on a terrible team. But and why don't you reward the fact that there's three guys always watching him and he's still able to put up not only good counting stats but also efficient stats. They're all still L.. Very good and he's still doing that. And Yeah I I would reward that especially because hey this is the fans game and I think they've done fairly well the fans have and they should should have as they do majority stake in this thing because it is for them and the other fifty should wait it out and I think it's I think it is a pretty good balance. I think it is pretty clear though that they a a the beginning of the season. A lot heavier than you know. The last quarters that we've seen That's just the way it goes and as you can see by our statistics people watching our show people sort of stopped watching the NBA. After the beginning you know the first month of the season and they base their opinion on that they base their opinion on on the first month of the season. And that's cool. Let's get back to Jimmy Butler versus Pascal CEAC. Because they Jimmy Butler is getting a little bit of the. Hey we need a guy from the Miami Heat. Sort sort of moniker. That that idea because Pascal C Adams numbers kick his ass. Yeah they do and I'm shocked. They're not not empty stats by naming. Either I don't think anyone's going that show. Pascal is so far ahead of Jimmie just because he's a foreign born guy on the raptors. I know he was on the championship..

"Yeah yeah donkey kong yeah it was it was more herald. It was much more involved that you could do a lot more yeah and i think the distinction between player one and player two donkey geico com. The gameplay was wildly different and with decay too. I mean just like separate care separate character well. They were talking about development for this game as they wanted to take donkey kong out of the equation because when they're like we can do whatever we want yeah. Donkey kong can only do these things. It's like no. We create a new game. We can do anything we want with a platform jenner. We can really go for two so yeah. That's a big swing for a platform to take in their second game to have the protagonist of the your video. Jio game not wild crazy and then country to dong is i think of any games like it just mega man three starring doctor light yeah. I don't wanna play. This game eared hell but this game worked so well so you've got your two characters <music>. You've got daisy daddy. I'm sorry did i say dixie dixie i screw up for him because i went through and they came up with fifty names what to named named dixie dixie dizzy daisy like it was like the name her diddy diddy dixie dizzy dizzy in d._c. Make sense ends because yeah okay dixie or did he did. He use them all. This is to be real chucky cheeses and exists s. These would be great chucky cheese characters. They would all of them. Yes sir country bear jamboree and you wouldn't be there yeah yeah okay. It's fine doesn't matter but these characters get interest. I mean <hes> we see diddy in the first game obviously but like we're just throwing a huge curveball into the mix for platforming forming and it was received incredibly well yeah. This is a huge game v._s. Huge and it was also i. I believe it was like towards the end of snus life site yeah it was mario was out for a while so donkey kong took over them rain and then that's when mars four came out because i was like yeah that's so i think the next year huge gamble gamble all around so when you like when you think back to it worthy moments moments in the game. What are the mechanics of a game things that really stick in your brain. Yeah i remember i got this game for christmas and i lost my god. Damn it was it. Just this game didn't get multiple games was it was just this. I don't remember. I really tony anyone such as staining your voice that you remember. What was your grandma. 'cause it's like younger cool. He had a baseball ball cap. Yeah we wanna correct what with was that in the first one. I don't think so just read. I think that's as time went on yeah and the red hat because there's a ton of just like meta nintendo referencing within this game itself yeah funny yeah like cranky kong just living living in what is what is basically a game room every time you go to visit him. Yes there's a lot of like in game advertising right. Do <hes> what how did your mom know to get this like. We're your parents ransomware to get you the games that you liked kinda games. You did like neely. I got a lot of like say like twenty dollar games games that like nobody wanted desk game james yeah so it was it was weird..

They look fucking great compared to <hes> backstreet boys. Well is isn't Oh town younger though yeah I mean yeah I mean I don't know if any I love a pretty boy with delicate features so God I don't know I think this is triggering too much jersey in me. I don't know that I would wanna Publis is that if you're already a band that exists like I mean if me also crowd funded that would be cool but right yeah I think yeah it's not exactly it's a step backwards but also is it a step backwards if it's been this long it's almost like at this point. They're like listen. This is exciting for us. I don't know I'm psyched for them. Good for them. I guess okay and then so it said that also says to say that 'cause they're hot. Aubrey O'Day calls out diddy over making the band reboot. I saw it a call. All out culture obviously even just announcing that a T._v.. Show is coming back. Obviously has to cause drama. What are you calling out? I do you remember Aubrey O'Day. Remember her no okay so I remember this chick I mean I literally only her name. That's it so early this week M._t._v. and diddy announced that they were bringing the show back during an interview with the blast the density oh she's from became the Danny Cain singer said she supports the reboot of the Reality Competition Series on which she and her bandmates got their start but also wants M._T._v. to give her and her making the Band co-stars a new show. I'm happy when any new artists gets an opportunity to shine into develop but I do think that M._t._v. needs to bring back along with making the band identity Cain show with our family that we created on the network with day twenty-six Donnie Klang. What how is this even calling out? It's not going out number one so it's a misleading headline and then also no one wants to watch a Danny Cain show. I'll wash anything I watched fucking Lindsey lowe hands hobbling around Greece but I am not going to watch this right Danny Cain I couldn't even I don't even remember one song. They sang. I think it's charming that you're wearing dresses. Now I think so too yeah I we're actually were addressed and I was like Rosebud will accept the stress that I'm yeah I love listen. Floral prints are my background and it's nice to return to my roots. It's interesting because your personality is definitely not a floral print and right and so the the juxtaposition I think is good yeah yeah. It's it's a good comic. Turn Yeah Yeah I know beautiful. Maybe I'll wear it on stage. I haven't gotten comfortable enough for that right anyway so guys. It's been a while it's I it's been like two weeks since we podcasts at together at least yeah or more yeah I think it was the the me also additions. Were the last one we saw one another. Diddy wanted to start making the band again to start it up again. Yeah there's a twenty twenty reboot and a couple listeners deemed me and I was like <hes> to Shady Shay Yeah Yeah because when was the last time show was on nine. Yeah deletion of making the band was in two thousand nine <hes> yeah and then he announced that his he will be rebooting the show in twenty twenty. Oh tell me crazy I remember looking at Oh town and being like this is like if you literally took in sync and backstreet boys and melted their faces together they were that was a weird I remember when I was hanging out a lot with this closeted but now out gay Guy Anthony and he would like when he was still quote Oh straight would choreograph a lot of dances in his attic to liquid dreams and like trying like impress me sexually and I would just sit there being like this. I don't just can't be movies when they say Romance Right. I hope not because I'm not opt out feel like a straight made enrichment. I was like I I do feel things in my vagina but I don't think two things. I'm supposed to be feeling yeah A._M.. You're like I feel things in my vagina but it's just the fact that my femininity is being spiked by this man. Oh my God and what is so interesting. I don't know if you remember but when we were doing that episode episode where we decided to start our own mega-pop group yeah we did mention that we were going to send people to go get cheese steak at juniors which is one of the famous scenes from making the band right so I feel like I I don't I don't know is this. I feel like daddy might listen to swimming girls or one of his peop- yeah but also to us on the girls has always had a weird. There's like weird thing with this podcast. Yes where there's like a spiritual. We'll aligning thing that happens where like like when we started all of a sudden bieber was like doing all this crazy shit and then we've Yuck and met up with him within like so quickly so it's like when that happened I was like well yeah because our podcast is blessed by the Gods so even my mother noticed that she was just like she's like honestly it was very weird like Bieber was doing nothing and then you in Rosebud started their show and he just started being everywhere all the time and yeah I had this thought. I'm glad you noticed that because I'm like that's kind of wild yeah. Also we never even addressed the fact that he brought. He came out with a new song with Chris Brown which I just want everybody to know like I fucking love that so he's just been gone on a lot of songs longs lately not only at your own. Please make your own stuff. If we give me you and Sarah Dooley could write a song in an hour right now. You can surely like scrape something together right for sure. It's crazy. I mean Chris but I I was psyched about it because is Chris Brown and Justin Bieber there sung next to you was the reason I started loving Bieber okay and I <hes> so when they came out with a new one I was like I I don't feel like Justin does enough on it. <hes> like I felt like it wasn't really a it was it's kind of a lazy collaboration on Justin's part well. That's the thing yeah I just. I do feel like a lot of his stuff. I mean Ed Sheeran one. I think that was like I will give that like that's a full song but here like don't check on me. Don't check on me yeah. It's it's great wanted to just hear a little too great song. I think I think I heard maybe I won't play well. I guess we've been blocked from stuff. You win blocked no. But this is when did he was really high as far as music, they keep, you know, I don't know what song was out. But did he was like on fire on fire? Like always say money wasn't dagger. It was back, then it was back in the day. And we were at a restaurant, and he said something like, oh, I can't mess with Diddy. Like he makes me sick. I can't stand him and you got I got up it was. Like he was my father. I was so offended. He'll breakers. I never met Diddy. All right. I didn't know you know, it'd be like he was like, how dare you speak about Sean puffy combs? Well, I think I think there are always going to be things that using talk about and their personal to you. Like, sometimes, I don't even feel worthy of being your co host and friend, because you talking about artists, and I'm over here. My phone in the corner on Spotify. "Of doing this. You brought up something to your, mommy dot, mommy. Daddy comment. The. Yeah. You excuse me. You guys have heard me talk about it on the show. This was I mean, it was hard to read because it really hit home for me. I was raised by mommy daddy. I do love that phrase because you know, it is double duty parenting that is thrust upon you usually after tragedy or something side, and my mom died from cancer when I was nine she didn't. Have to practice, but she did. And my dad was like what happened and he had to take in and raise me and do figure it all out from how to do my hair to how to talk to me about comfortable things. And also just to how to raise me in her in her light. And in in the way that she would have wanted me to be raised, and my parents were very different. But you know, they loved each other. But it was different. And I think that in a lot of ways that reminds me possibly with Diddy income had, you know, I tell that maybe they have different styles of parenting different ways of looking at the world. And so when you lose your partner, you have to think about raising that child in their essence end in your own, right? And so I think my dad's decorate job, but it's mother's day without your mom with these children are about to experience for the first time. It is our breaking and it doesn't get easier. "So I've I've often been kind of dancing with this life is, but a dream Diddy and one form or another. So it really wasn't a total surprise when I discovered this map that showed me how our mind generates this reality and how we could change it. But because I've been looking for it my whole life, but it was pretty crazy to follow that map right out of the matrix. Well, so I have to ask this. I've interviewed a lot of people in in when I interview someone who. Has the intensity that you have who has the energy the power a lot of times, there are places where that brings them down where they they either turned to alcohol or they turned to something to try to calm that down at times. Did you ever have that challenge? Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean in even more. So I mean again when you find out what you're here for at least for me. I have a dynamic character. My and my calling is one that's not meant to be always a agreed with I'm kind of provocative, and I don't even wanna be you know, what I mean. Because it's like what I'm telling you. You're going to think I'm crazy or you're going to be open to it. But I had to learn quickly that like if carry a lot of energy to do this thing. Right. So so learning to ground that has been a real real challenge absolutely in I had to use this map to figure out create a new time management system that could help me understand. How? To do it. So how do you ground your? I've got to exercise like a crazy, man. Like, I basically have to like like get this body running like it's kind of like a primal animal and what about meditation? Do you do that every day I have to do both? And I find that. They're both important. What is your meditation? Look like, how do you meditate? I actually have a lot of different modalities. I experiment with you know, kind of a collector at present. I'm taking the same course took me to the white light for the third time. Right. It's a it's like an advanced sort of boot camp. You know, it's like really building. Those muscles is at TM. No, it's it's it's it's a course that I developed from the voice good logic. Now, I don't usually do too straight transcendental meditation. I'd love to get my mantra and give it a try actually because of done a lot of work with intentional meditations that involve like having different scripts that people are using and by neural audio technology stuff like that. But I think. Floating right through the clouds and just being in that pure silence. Is starting to seem like it might be a cool cool thing to do..

"Picked up on what you were saying morgan about trauma it's like thinking about filing cabinets you know what we tend to do is when something's traumatic if you don't deal with it you're just jamming those papers into the file cabinet no filing system at all and the moment you have to open that file cabinet all the papers and files go flying that's what happens when we don't process trauma and deal with it and so to me that's what's happening every time there's a little problem that comes up in your relationship with your husband it becomes something huge because you're reliving the trauma i think the you know diddy and has that great line about how grieving brings us into the province of magic and childhood when i read the line about my mom was my sounding board for all my outbursts as a part of me that thinks oh so you're trying to bring your mother live again and you think if you throw tantrums she's going to reappear to you i think it's difficult for survivors of particularly of suicides to reckon with the basic idea that the purse who they love so much who they needed so much chose to leave them and we'll do anything to try to get them back even if that involves sort of throwing tantrums i know it sounds crazy but i really think that's the way our subconscious operates when it's somebody who so core and elemental to you and the sad thing is that you still have a right to your tantrums but your mother to some extent is the cause of them and not the cure you expressly said to your mother you know i'm afraid that you are going to take your life that you're gonna do harm to yourself just as soon as on my feet and one way of interpreting is that you gave her permission but another way of interpreting that set of actions is she hung that on you and i want to say that the nature of grieving suicide and particularly mother who is the central unconditional loving force in your life is a trauma that you don't just get over in a series of months or years you're having to deal with that.

"I'm gonna do not a question a low uga and questioned in question over six this is from rob carry at robert kerrey was the deal with p diddy is he going to buy the panthers no he's not gonna buy the panthers simple reason he's not rich enough he's worth eight hundred fifty million dollars i believe um how much of that kin how much how much of that is he willing to make liquidation a just you don't like he could have a minority interest in the team i i could see that but he just doesn't have the capital the do it i mean i think one thing when these teams go for sale that a lot of people don't realize is just how rich you have to be to buy one and just how rich the bar is four nfl owners to accept that not only are you able to buy the team without putting yourself in financial peril but you're also able to invest back in the team v one of the reasons why stan kroenke won the los angeles bid wasn't cia it wasn't just the stadium it wasn't just that the team the the league like the idea of putting a team back there that had history in the market like the rams had history now lay it was also because stand crock he's got money coming out of his ears and we'll be able to invest back into the market and so that part of it is very very important i think because of that the bars about five billion for nfl ownership this teams going to cost more than two billion and my feeling on it is that's.
