All right, speaking of the ravens guys, I'm sure Lamar would love to get a big time wide receiver in this draft. That is, of course, assuming that he's back in Baltimore, so Diana rossini back with us. Diana, where are we with Lamar and the ravens at this moment? Yeah, we can't get enough of this story either. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of change in terms of teams that are interested in Lamar Jackson. If you recall a few weeks back, we started reporting and checking with teams around the league. Those teams that were in need of a quarterback, it perhaps maybe they were interested in maybe doing some research, having some conversations with the quarterback. And from what I can gather and I have not spoken with every single team in the league, but I've spoken to a lot over the last week or so, at least since the beginning of free agency. And Laura, I really do not get a sense. At this point, right now that there is a team along with their ownership that is willing to take that first step in perhaps having those conversations with Lamar and having them maybe perhaps join their team. So for now, he's a Baltimore Raven. Yeah, and again, it's worth reminding if a team does make an offer, the ravens still have the opportunity to counter off or their draft picks involved. So it's a very layered scenario. And the other major quarterback move we're all waiting on, Aaron Rodgers. Diana are the jets any closer to getting a deal done with the packers. Yeah, we've got nothing new to report on terms of that trade becoming official. We all know now that Erin Rogers wants to be the jets quarterback, but from what I was told, where are we stand at this point? The Green Bay Packers are still asking for more from the New York Jets in terms of trade compensation for them to take over and get Aaron Rodgers to come to New York and officially become a New York jet. Now there is no official deadline in either of these situations, Lamar Jackson, or even Aaron Rodgers, but there's definitely a sense that this will start heating up as soon as the draft wraps up or at least the week after we could perhaps see some movement in both of these situations. So that's kind of what we're keeping an eye on, but for now we've got no updates on two of the big name quarterbacks. Waiting game continues. All

"Show. Oh, it is a wish list, right? And it's business from Aaron Rodgers. He's got all the leverage in the world right now. And look, he said to the jets, here are some guys I want to play with. Take a look into this. See if you can get them. Nathaniel Hackett has familiarity with a lot of these guys as well. We could use some veteran leadership in New York as well with the core of the jets being pretty young at this point. So I think it's one of those things where people see a wish list and they immediately think that means I must have. Not all wishes come true, right? So I equated to my Amazon wishlist. That thing's packed. I'm not getting all that stuff though, you know? I mean, I said it to my husband all the time. He doesn't buy half of it. Okay, so this is Aaron's interpretation. And Diana is saying, look, he's just throwing out these names. It's not a demand list. Yes, he. I don't think the problem is Diana rossini's reporting. The problem is the way people are talking about her reports. There's a piece of paper and there's some names on there. And these are the guys that he would like to play with. People are calling that taking that as these are a list of his demands, and that's the way people are speaking about it when obviously that's not what the intent was. Yes, it's been framed incorrectly by the media. Right. Because it's certainly a juicier story of Aaron Rodgers has to have these players on the jets roster. But now she's getting called out by name because other people are speaking about it poorly. It's a tough hat to wear sometimes, but now she's got to lose Aaron Rodgers number two. Yeah, well, here is Aaron when chef reached out to the quarterback. Asked scheffler what I texted him when he somehow got my number in text to me. I didn't respond to Diana rossini I think her name is, but I would say the same thing that I told chefy. Lose my number. I'll speak for myself. Okay. Aaron harps on fake news all the time. Adam Schefter is at least trying to get the right information here. Now he is? Well, I think he's tried to get it from Rogers. Rogers, that's why I said, you know, for how long? Go back to last year's draft, chef D had no contact, no information with Aaron Rodgers, because Rogers had a real, real, real small circle. I'm interested to hear Rogers, who leaked this information to die in a russini from the jets to talk about the wish list. That's what I would like to know. Because Aaron once transparency, that didn't last long, Jets have already leaked this. Here's a wish list that he had for us. And I applaud chef Dee for at least trying I know he was shut down and Diana rossini trying, but shut down. I had no problem with that. And I know people go, oh, and Rogers owned Adam Schefter. I'm like, no, he didn't. Chef de tried. Yes, he. Yeah, that's an interesting point that you bring up, if you're Aaron Rodgers, are you looking at the jets now being like, what the hell? What are you doing? I would have said that like, wait a minute. I don't know who leaked this. Well, who did leak this? It wasn't the packers. It wasn't Aaron Rodgers. It wasn't Aaron Rodgers. So who gave it to Diana russini? Right. I mean, it's so obvious. And a move from the jets gave it to Trey wingo. I mean, got a couple leaks. Yeah. Already. You know, we're taking on water here. Not even on the team yet. Early on the dirty laundry. And I thought he was going to retire. But I thought he was going to retire and I can not sit here and say, I had a source that's close to Aaron Rodgers. I had somebody who's played in the league and knows Aaron, but knew nothing of what he was going to do. And he said, don't be surprised if he retires. So when we went around the room, the prediction, my prediction was he was going to retire. Here is Aaron going into darkness. You know, I got to admit, I went in the darkness, 90% retiring. 10% point. That's where my mind was. My mind was I'm tired of this. I hadn't got back in my workouts yet. And I thought that that was what was best for me. Okay. And he said, look, there's a lot of guys that you get older that you don't know if you want to play again. And you know, I guess you can make a comparison to childbirth. You're like, never again. And then you go, you know, wasn't that bad. You know, all right, I think I could come back. I'm feeling okay. You know? Let me come back and play again. And he got the sense that the packers were moving on, that's why it was either retirement or the jets. Okay, this is what it is. The packers would like to move on. They've let me know that in so many words, they let other people know that in direct words and because I still have that fire and I want to play and I would like to play a new work. It's just a matter of getting that done at this point. Okay, how could you judge his fire if he's 90% retired? Like, was it a little flame? I mean, it wasn't a 5 alarm fire here. Hey, you know, it's still burning. Okay. I mean, the packers were going to move on. They didn't disrespect you. They did give you what a $150 million. It was done with the drama here. We got to move on at some point because we don't know how long do you want to play? Do you really want to be here? Are you all in will you help the young receivers? And then he had this to say about his conversations with the packers. It was clear to me at that point that although the packers are going to say the right thing publicly that they were ready to move on. And I don't know what changed that or what moved that. It said, hey, you know, we need to make a decision here because he hasn't made a decision yet. Again, there's no victims here. I'm not sitting here as a victim. You know, I love Green Bay. I love the fan base, they're incredible. I live for playing. Playing for them and for Lambeau. A lot of love for the organization. I just think I wish that in the beginning of the off season, down had been the conversation. Okay. My favorite part of the interview. Absolute favorite part of the interview. Was McAfee on hell yeah. That's it. Because everything else was, he gave Aaron a platform and let him talk. That's what you need to do. Just have a couple of follow-up questions, which he did in pressing Rogers, maybe wanting to go to Las Vegas. And it goes back to what I told you, you know, right after the season ended, that Vegas wanted Jimmy Garoppolo, not Tom Brady, not Aaron Rodgers. They wanted Jimmy Garoppolo, and that's why Rogers wanted to reunite with devonta Adams. And he did hint about playing with devonta Adams. "Get Lamar Jackson on your football team. All of a sudden the Washington franchise team, they're looking at this going, whoop. That Eric Vietnamese got Lamar Jackson. Interesting. That is an interesting one, and of course, while Ron Rivera did say he was QB one, Sam Howell. He's not going to be starter. RC, what do you think about a team that would make some sense here for Lamar Jackson? Or your thoughts on the commanders? I feel like I feel like her has been Tapping into my brain. That's what I feel like because I agree a team like Washington who's outside the top ten could look into Lamar Jackson. He mentioned the south. I look at the Carolina Panthers. The Carolina Panthers right now are picking at 9. And so they're going to have to do some work if they want to get into the CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson type of conversations. But if you can bring in a Lamar Jackson, when you look at this team and the way that they fought down the stretch last season, the running backs in tuba Hubbard and Dante form and DJ Moore on the outside, a terrorist Marshall junior who needs to come into his own, headed into his third year, but a defense that played really well down the stretch. Now you look at what the quarterback room is with Josh mccown. You have Frank Wright on that team also a very good offensive coordinator. I think a place like the Carolina Panthers would be a perfect fit for a Lamar Jackson. Let's go back to last year field because when deshaun Watson essentially was given permission to find a new home, the four teams that were most after him were the Cleveland Browns New Orleans Saints Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons. Well, the Cleveland Browns signed deshaun Watson, not going to be them. The New Orleans Saints this week signed Derek Carr. It's not going to be them. Diana rossini reported today the Atlanta Falcons are not expected to pursue Lamar Jackson in a short time ago. The shoulder observer said that the Panthers are not expected to pursue Lamar Jackson. So already we're seeing a select few teams if that be available be interested in Lamar Jackson when he is available, the team that does scream and make the most sense to me would be Washington, but there's been no indication that they're prepared to go in that direction as of now. So who would be? And again, last year, deshaun Watson had multiple teams courting him. It's order. This year to identify the teams that are going to make that kind of push for Lamar Jackson. And this is one of those things that is difficult to talk about in some ways because it's not done yet and may never get done, but if the commanders are in fact a franchise that is sold at some point over the next few months, making a decision like this to pay the full freight. It's not just a contract that's going to include many zeros, but also two first round picks. That's the kind of decision that actually does get to the ownership level and is Dan Snyder. If he's about to sell this team, really going to sign off on a move like this, herm. And his RC said before earlier in this conversation when it came to Lamar Jackson, these owners at the combine, they all talk. And maybe that was the conversation that Baltimore had with certain teams, knowing that if we decide to do this, what teams will bid on him, well, we just eliminate the whole south. Chefs are eliminated the whole time. So now all of a sudden, you were sitting here going, we're running out of options, boys. It's interesting. Very interesting. RCA final thoughts here in the last 30 seconds. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I think the biggest thing is this. This Lamar Jackson saga is far from over and I can't see his relationship with the Baltimore Ravens being a good one no matter how this ends, especially if he's back in that locker room and so when you make this stuff, if you're the Baltimore ravens, I feel like you know or kind of have a feeling of where this is headed and we're the ones that are going to sit on the outside and watch it all take place. The only way maybe ends happy is if he has a massive long-term extension on the table. Time now for one more thing before we go. For that, we check in on Adam Schiff, there's podcasts for an amazing story for Vikings wide receiver KJ Osborne. If you guys don't pull him from the car, help pull him from the car. In your opinion, does that man live? No, no, he doesn't live. I didn't even know if he was alive when we walked up to the car. He was kind of, you know, in the days. I don't know if he was conscious, but I think he felt the heat coming to his legs. And you know, that's when we began to talk to him, you know, try to get him out. And then, you know, he was a little bit, you know, must or something from himself before, you know, we were able to, but without that, no, I think that would burn on fire. It was really tragic. Osbourne's teammate in quarterback Kirk Cousins tweeted that it was, quote, totally on brand for the Vikings wide out who was a quote tremendous person in teammate. Jesse, what's going through your mind as you're listening to that story from KJ Osborne. Well, it's incredible because he missed the first Uber call, had a wait for a second Uber by the time the second Uber arrived to put him on path to cross paths with this guy who crashed into the concrete barrier. He helped pull him to safety and everybody remembers the plays he made in the game against the colts. Well, he came through Sunday Night in a huge way. It's gonna say shifty, no matter what he does on a football field, nothing will be more significant. The actions like KJ Osborne and a major moment. "It's happening. It's all happening. Everything that needs to happen for Rogers have become a New York jet is happening. You need to actually reach whatever decision you needed to make about wanting to continue to play. He needed to reach that decision. He needed to communicate something to the Green Bay Packers. That made them say, okay, you can talk to him. Neither the packers to reach to a conclusion to be fine with Rogers wanting to talk to somebody else, or at least them allowing that to happen. You need that to happen. Then you needed Rogers to actually start talking to the jets. These things are all happening. And now, but I thought they were supposed to be talking in New York. Now they're flying out to go see him. So he wasn't in New York. According to rob demovsky and Dan Graziano and Diana rossini of the ESPN, the Jets have flown on woody's private plan. Why not? To California to meet with Aaron Rodgers in person the land soon. Very good. Green Bay is obviously given New York permission to speak with Russia. So Rogers wasn't in New York at all. He was not. Okay. So they might have been talking on the phone, and now they're flying out to the coast. Left okay, coming out to the coast. Sign a few contracts. Win some football games. They're not flying out there without knowledge that they'll be greeted. With an open arm or an extended hand. Yeah. They're not flying all the way out there just to air Johnson. I hope that time pronounced his name. A lot of season ages in there. Only chuck mayor Kyle a few days to realize he only wasn't the only top dog in politics in littleton. A few days into his term as mayor, the first time voters directly elected a mayor and littleton, he learned that he wouldn't be the only one in the city with that title. Catherine roxburgh of the historic littleton incorporated said we weren't electing a human, the candidates were of the canine sort. Littleton was set to elect its first honorary dog mayor. It was a contest to bring attention to the historic preservation within the city. Each dog candidate posed for photos in front of historic sites in littleton, voters responded, casting more than 6000 votes and in the end, 5 year old Murdoch, the basset hound, ends up winning and is now the mayor of littleton, Colorado. You can see him on ESPN+ in his festive hat and Chris, he seems like a very deserving candidate. I'm excited to see what he gets done in office. Yeah, I'm curious to know what kind of privilege is our guy gets as the elected mayor or the honorary mayor, like wearing that title and wearing that hat literally and figuratively. What comes along with that? Is it like endless Scooby snacks? Exactly, how does this work as far as he goes in terms of what he benefits from being named as the honorary mayor? I'm curious to know. Yeah, there better be some great perks I'd imagine on call belly rubs whenever necessary plenty of walks around the ample spaces and littleton Colorado despite the weather and I would hope a repertoire of equally impressive hats, Chris. That feels like the bare minimum that we can do. Absolutely. Absolutely. I wonder who has more respect than the town, the actual marriage or the honorary man. I don't know, I'd imagine that they took like the Q rating or the poll of public opinion, Murdock the basset hound is probably gonna run a circle around oh boy out here. A mayor that you can pet and make little kissy faces at and fun noises? A mayor that's gonna run around and be excited to see you every time you greet him in the town. I'm sure the regular people mayor is gonna have bad days. There are no bad days for Murdoch, the bob bassinet. Yeah, Murdoch is not gonna say anything controversial. So we know that for a fact. That is also true here, a thing that we value in our politicians. Can you go with junior here on ESPN radio? This one is a throwback that hit us right in the fields here, Chris. BlackBerry will end service for the old school mobile device starting on January 4th, the Android powered devices carrying the BlackBerry name won't be affected, but the original BlackBerries, the one that you and I knew in our heyday growing up will no longer be active in a way that feels like the true end of an era. Yeah, this hits close to home gojo. I mean, I'm a huge BlackBerry fan. I mean, it was my burner phone for a really long time, especially when I got into the NFL, like the fact that you could text with so much ease with that thing. Oh man, it was incredible. So the fact that we're going to see that go, I'm hurting right now. Right here, right here, right in this region right here, if I had on my Jersey between the two 9, them, discontinuing the BlackBerry, I feel a way about that, man, 'cause there are so many fond memories of the BlackBerry and the things that I was able to get done with that phone. It is an amazing phone here. Kids nowadays will have no idea what a qwerty keyboard is. People won't understand BlackBerry messenger, one of the original ones of communication, BBM back in the day. Oh yeah. No doubt. I used to stare. I used to all the time in elementary school in a middle school growing up because not to brag. I was a T mobile sidekick guy back in the day game. Yeah. Okay. You had the two way. I needed that. I needed that flip man to feel alive at all that. But I'll be honest. When it came to free periods and free time, I was always trying to scam the BlackBerry off somebody just to play that snake game. One of the original great cell phone games of our time. Oh, no question about it. If you weren't playing the snake game with that BlackBerry, you're doing it wrong. Wow, man. And I sincerely mean that. A 100%, the true end of an era here. So go and again, if you're a Gen Z right now, like I'd imagine TikTok's gonna have no idea what to do with this right now. Go find a millennial in your life. Love them up because this can be a hard day, a tough pill to swallow. Any BlackBerry models that use the company's operating system. Are going to go the way. Go the way of the tamagotchi, the tomato computer, LaserDisc, CDs. I mean, I was in a hotel room the other weekend and Fargo North Dakota they had a DVD player and I almost shed a tear. These are the things we'll never know. What is a portable DVD player? What is that? We're losing recipes. If they ever take away the razor, I swear to God, the premier flip phone of all time. No doubt about it. A lot of fond memories with the razor. Pour one out for all of our friends that were lighten up BlackBerry messenger back in the day here right now. I hope that time pronounced his name. A lot of season ages in there. Only chuck mayor Kyle a few days to realize he only wasn't the only top dog in politics in littleton. A few days into his term as mayor, the first time voters directly elected a mayor and littleton, he learned that he wouldn't be the only one in the city with that title. Catherine roxburgh of the historic littleton incorporated said we weren't electing a human, the candidates were of the canine sort. Littleton was set to elect its first honorary dog mayor. It was a contest to bring attention to the historic preservation within the city. Each dog candidate posed for photos in front of historic sites in littleton, voters responded, casting more than 6000 votes and in the end, 5 year old Murdoch, the basset hound, ends up winning and is now the mayor of littleton, Colorado. You can see him on ESPN+ in his festive hat and Chris, he seems like a very deserving candidate. I'm excited to see what he gets done in office. Yeah, I'm curious to know what kind of privilege is our guy gets as the elected mayor or the honorary mayor, like wearing that title and wearing that hat literally and figuratively. What comes along with that? Is it like endless Scooby snacks? Exactly, how does this work as far as he goes in terms of what he benefits from being named as the honorary mayor? I'm curious to know. Yeah, there better be some great perks I'd imagine on call belly rubs whenever necessary plenty of walks around the ample spaces and littleton Colorado despite the weather and I would hope a repertoire of equally impressive hats, Chris. That feels like the bare minimum that we can do. Absolutely. Absolutely. I wonder who has more respect than the town, the actual marriage or the honorary man. I don't know, I'd imagine that they took like the Q rating or the poll of public opinion, Murdock the basset hound is probably gonna run a circle around oh boy out here. A mayor that you can pet and make little kissy faces at and fun noises? A mayor that's gonna run around and be excited to see you every time you greet him in the town. I'm sure the regular people mayor is gonna have bad days. There are no bad days for Murdoch, the bob bassinet. Yeah, Murdoch is not gonna say anything controversial. So we know that for a fact. BlackBerry will end service for the old school mobile device starting on January 4th, the Android powered devices carrying the BlackBerry name won't be affected, but the original BlackBerries, the one that you and I knew in our heyday growing up will no longer be active in a way that feels like the true end of an era. Yeah, this hits close to home gojo. I mean, I'm a huge BlackBerry fan. I mean, it was my burner phone for a really long time, especially when I got into the NFL, like the fact that you could text with so much ease with that thing. Oh man, it was incredible. So new year new me is off to a very good start. How are you, buddy? I was thinking the same thing. I go, look at this. The calendar changes and here I am back in the lineup, I'm back playing my starting role on your show, so it's good to be here. What a day of news you've got and all these great conversations that they're listening to you guys, but hopefully we got a little bit more good stuff to talk about here. Well, I think we do Diana, we just heard in the SportsCenter update there that something you would report it here. The current one scene in the AFC Tennessee Titans slated to get Derek Henry back at practice tomorrow. Now, how close are we actually to seeing the best player on this team potentially back out there playing for them? Yeah, let me give you some backstory. I know the organization and I know Derek specifically really had this game earmarked as this was going to be the return of Derek. And while the surgery earlier in November went really well, so did the rehab. The thought process is they want to make sure he's a 100%. There's really no reason to push it. We know that if they beat the use in Texas, they're going to lock up that number one speed and they have seen. And of course they're going to want to want that first round by. But it's sort of looking at it as is it worth the risk though of perhaps a reinjuring that that foot. But that doesn't seem to be the case in terms of what I can gather, I don't get the sense that he's going to be playing in this game. I get to sense that he's back at practice as just another step towards his return for the playoff. And last week he was running on the grass in cleats, which sounds very basic and simple, but that's of course a good sign. And then you'd expect it to be back at practice tomorrow. Obviously, we know that doesn't we don't necessarily know how hard he's going to go, but just the fact that he's going to have an appearance there. That's nothing. Just let good news. Diana revisiting the Antonio Brown meltdown at MetLife stadium on Sunday after the game Bruce Arians made it clear that Antonio Brown would no longer be a part of that team. Two days later in a Brooklyn Nets game later, we're talking about Antonio Brown still not being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So what exactly is Tampa's playing as to how they're going to deal with AB? Oh, I wish I know. I spoke to some sources this morning. Trying to figure out what the plan is and the people I talk to there are just that we can't get into that right now, which I don't want to say that that's a common answer I get because it's not when I talk to Tampa. They're usually pretty good about helping out with some information and they're just shutting it down in terms of what they're actually doing because we're all waiting for that waiver or at least a wire to come out around 4 o'clock every day and obviously we saw today. He is not on it. So if he's not a book anymore, what is the plan? And of course, there's all the theories that I'm sure you guys have discussed on the show. And if you haven't, you probably will, which is, you know, nobody wants to see their ex with someone new. So perhaps that's the same theory that the books have right now, which is if they don't cut them and they can just find a way to suspend them, then he still a Tampa Bay buck technically. But he just won't play and no other playoff team can sign him, which I think that's the bigger story in a way, guys, just a fact that there's a chance another team could sign him in the bucks think that and feel that. I mean, that goes to show you how forgiving this league is and how much they really don't care. If a player has a talent that ABS. Talent always wins as we're talking to ESPN NFL reporter Diana rossini on the Goodyear hotline. Speaking of information about the bucks though here, we've talked about running backs coming back. How soon can we expect Leonard fournette to be back in this lineup during this important stretch? Yeah, so if you guys remember 11% had a hamstring situation after that safe game. So he was placed on IR on December 23rd and the way the rule goes, he's got to be out for three games. So this Sunday would be three games. So for the regular season, we're not going to be seeing the running back. But the postseason in terms of what I can gather talking to the book this morning about his status, they feel really good. He's going to be back. They feel optimistic that he's healed and he should be good to go. And that time, obviously, recovering is helping him out because he should be good. Diana, we got the news that Baker Mayfield is going to be out in week 18 in the browns matchup against the bangles. What do you think the plan is for the browns moving forward with Baker Mayfield? So the sense I was getting at the midway mark. So let me start there from the browns organization. I felt just from conversations. This isn't one person just telling me this is what we're doing. This is just talking to decision makers there and talking to people on that staff that they were into baker. And so I had been operating pretty much the rest of the season thinking baker is going to be back there. I haven't revisited any of those conversations recently. I was in Cleveland. I did talk to some people about baker overall and the tone I was getting at the time wasn't it wasn't great. It didn't feel like this guy's our future. It wasn't said to me, but I didn't get that feel. But look, this could be something where they keep them and they just don't pay them as much as you would expect. The number one overall pick would should be getting. But you guys listened in enough to the postgame quotes or at least sound and it didn't really sound like Kevin Stefanski who isn't going anywhere is on the same page with Baker Mayfield at this point. So I think we can all agree that it wouldn't be shocking if Cleveland did move on. Certainly a messy situation in Cleveland that just continues to get messier after they had found something here. One day after brown's quarterback Baker Mayfield was sacked 9 times. Was intercepted twice after he failed to complete a pass on ten consecutive throws at one point during a 26 to 14 loss to the Steelers on Monday Night Football, brown's head coach, Kevin Stefanski, addressed the media today about Mayfield. Baker won't play in this last game, we're going to hold him out. He's going to get going to get surgery scheduled and really as soon as possible. Obviously frustrated for him, but just felt like that was the right thing to do for right now. Mayfield will not play the final game of the regular season against a red hot Cincinnati Bengals team instead he'll be having surgery to fix an injury he had been dealing with since week two. A torn labrum in his non throwing left shoulder. Mayfield missed one game due to the shoulder injury and Stefanski defended his decision not to give his quarterback more rest. It's a fair question, but I would just tell you, each one of those weeks and those days, when we made those decisions, you're just going off of the information that's available to you. After leading the browns to a playoff birth in the 2020 season, Mayfield has had to contend with injuries to his shoulder, knee and foot. In addition to just generally inconsistent play on the field, the browns did exercise Mayfield's 5th year contract option for 2022, which would pay him $18.9 million, but the browns could very well consider an upgrade at that position in the off season, Stefanski actually deflected when asked to assess Mayfield season thus far only reiterating that he was quote frustrated for baker to not be able to finish the season. I'm Michelle Steele, ESPN. So he's having surgery now so he can be healthy for 2022. But where will he be? In 2022, ESPN analyst danilovsky. I would not be shocked if last night was the last time Baker Mayfield plays for the Cleveland Browns. After kind of what, how this season played out and then hearing the comments from baker, which were the first time I heard them, and then hearing his coach Kevin Stefanski go. It's conflict. Yeah, like that, there is conflict. And the thing that I think matters is if the browns want out, they have justifiable reason now because of the performance on the field. Okay. The regression this year from baker was shocking. And I'm a baker guy. You got right? Shocking. Baker Mayfield has been playing with his shoulder injury and his non throwing shoulder since week two admitted after the Monday night lost to the Steelers that he was pretty beat up. He was as Michelle Steele noted sacked 9 times in that game Dan orlowski thinks it's possible that Mayfield's done. That sentiment also evident in Ohio, Aaron goldhammer from ESPN Cleveland. Well, I think bakers played his last game as a brown. So I don't even think this is about competition. I think that he's just toast. In part because I think the browns are ready to move on and in part because I think he wants a change of scenery, which I think you'll see that take place here. Over the course of the next couple of weeks. So then the browns have to come up with a better answer. And my guess is guys, it'll come from one or two places. Now, the draft thing is really dicey this year. The browns could end up with a top ten pick, but there are no top ten quarterbacks in this draft, I don't think. And I think what's most likely is there's a second tier of guys that come available in the Derek Carr Matt Ryan conversation. And I would bet on one of those guys being the starting quarterback of the browns next year. Baker Mayfield, having surgery, he'll miss the final game for Cleveland. That are very flexible very team friendly for this year and then they go up in future years because that The new tv deal kicks in and the money goes up even higher.
