"I love the entertainment aspect of what they bring. And their true could serve as they were Democrats and they bounce from the Democratic Party and you know and went on the Trump train and they've never looked back. But they brought up something really interesting yesterday, George and for them to go public on that, you know, they've got a really good national reputation. They're very known they're celebrities in and media. Now and and, you know, they brought this up knowing they would get ridicule. It's basically almost piggybacking what you're saying, George. They asked this pointed question. Was the White House targeted? I mean, we don't have to feel bad about saying that. Yes, I'm okay. If everybody Yes, it was targeting. I don't care what people say. Listen, these Democrats and liberals, they're soul. It's like you could see the demons on them. They just want that power. They are so It's just I've never seen anything like it and they will do anything. I won't put anything that will kill you. They will lie. They will still there. I would. They would do anything to get that power back and you gotta ask yourself. Why Steve, what do they want to do? What is Trump's stopping them from doing? What are they hiding? I just want him going. What did he stop? What if he's stopping them from doing he is clear to see. Even if you're not a trump supporter, he is in their way. Putting out some type of plan or some type of something that they want to do, and he's stopping him and they will do anything to remove him to get that to get their power and get their plan across now, George I mean, I can't disagree with a lot of what you're saying, because I mean it just, you know, you scratch your head and and concern and I gotta bounce. George. I appreciate the call. Thank you, but, um and I'm gonna You know, George, you bring up a great point, and and it's a point that a lot of people are bringing up. It's a point that not only the show, I get a lot of emails, I get a lot of tax. I get a lot of instagram direct messages. A lot of Facebook messages. Um ah, lot of emails asking me these things and again, you know, Diamond still cast this question. So before we get to the other calls, because we're getting close to breaking me to put this question out there, and I want you to hear me and and seriously, you know, a call and and give us almost like a survey. I think you know, and every now and again, I'd like to do surveys of this audience. It's very important to me. Doesn't matter where you stand what you believe It's really important for us to go. Some feedback. You know, George brings up a good point, and I know it's nerve ng, and it's scary to think about. But don't forget John Kennedy was assassinated and there was some rogue elements there. They got him, and it just wasn't the RV as well. I think we all can concur. Is diamond and silk. Accurate is our color. George, Accurate was the White House targeted. I mean, I guess that's the question I have to ask. And if you believe that, why how, or is this just all coincidental? I mean, we're talking less then 30 days away from the biggest election of our lifetime. Tomorrow's the debate. That's a big one to be watching. Why, Because, if, by some Literal, You know, nightmare. Joe Biden wins. Kamala Harris is eventually the president, you know, And I know it's so tomorrow. All eyes are gonna be on that debate. But could it be a possibility? Do we really have those types of rogue elements? Those those rogue CIA or even way above CIA where we don't even know what their alphabet is. I mean, let's not pretend that 9 11 happened. And now summer going to say, Are you trying to say it was an inside job? No, I didn't say that. But if you're going to basically believe it was just a bet A bunch of radical Islamists that put those planes through the buildings. You're smoking crack, but the crack pipe down. I believe there were rogue elements. Deep state New World Order elements. You can call me a conspiracy theory. That's.

Parents, students protest outside City Hall over New York City school closures

"In person Learning in schools has been shut down in the city and frustrated New York parents rally today and also quickly sent the mayor of petition. WCBS is Marla Diamond has been following this story. She joins us on the news line. Marlowe. What are the parents asking the mayor to do? They want the mayor to immediately reopen schools. So they did this, uh, campaign online and had about 12,000 families Sign on Tonto. This demand that the mayor and the governor reopen schools, saying schools are the safest place to be, they say, you know, follow the science, even though Community rate, maybe 3% theme. The test positivity rate in New York City schools is 30.2%. So they say the safest place to be is in school. And they argue that closing the schools really hurts. Minority communities, especially those communities where kids don't have devices to log on with the city admits it is short devices about 60,000 devices, saying, and they're just in such high demand that they're on Backorder. But the mayor has promised that he will get a device into every kid's hands. Just doesn't know when. So Marla has the mayor. Given any indication that he would raze this 3% threshold. He hasn't That was the threshold that he agreed to back in. Maybe August or September in negotiations with the United Federation of Teachers President Michael Mulgrew and so low grew has said that he wanted to stick with that 3% number, apparently yesterday. Mayor's coronavirus press conference was postponed by these backroom deals with Mulgrew in the governor involved. Maybe you know if the mayor was trying to increase that threshold, he couldn't or he didn't on DTA Day, he said. You know, he understands that parents are upset, but he is just doing this out of the out of An abundance of caution in a city that was really, really hit hard by Corona virus and spring. And the announcement that in person learning would shut down yesterday it felt a little abrupt. When my kids return to the classroom, it was abrupt and you know, the Catholic schools in the private schools were quick to tell parents were so open because there's a lot of confusion that the mayor has said Sometime after Thanksgiving, he says. This is temporary. However, part of the reopening plan will be testing every student and teacher that walks through the door and it's not clear that the city has the capacity to do that yet. United Airlines lowering requirements for ‘premier’ frequent flyer program

"United airlines lowering requirements for premier frequent flyer program in twenty twenty one fewer united mileage plus miles be required to qualify for premier status. There's an example given in the article on what it takes to achieve premier silver next year. Hillary choir thirty five hundred qualifying points or three thousand points. Plus eight flights and that compares to currently five thousand points or four thousand points plus twelve qualifying flights so His the headline says united is lowering the requirements brett. Does this seem like it's a A good idea on the part of the united wall. Something's a good idea because there's no way everyone's gonna qualify after this year but it does seem like the got in a room and said okay. How can we make this as complicated as possible. His i mean they've got you know reducing their requirements but then they they also give you like a balance to start with and then they give you bonuses for doing certain things that they're just like a million different ways to get there and i find it very confusing. It is confusing. They say that between january first and march thirty first they'll give passengers bonus points on their first three flights And then Mileage plus members. If you don't have premier status she'll get fifty percent extra points but premier members will get a hundred percent more points bread. I think you're right. It's it's a complicated formula i can. I can understand what they are trying to achieve. I think but the way they're going about. It seems kind of kind of funny. Yeah with the gold makes sense right. Because like i said. There's there's no way that people are gonna be traveling by the end of twenty twenty. The most people are not going to be qualifying. But i i don't know why they felt the need to make this so complicated. I compare this to its united. Well there could be I i'm Top tier with Hilton diamond status. What hilton is doing because their face with the same issue right people are not going to well. People are not using the Are staying at hotels with the frequency. They did in the past and so everybody sort of stands to lose their status so hilton is taking a very simple approach. And they're just saying that whatever your status was for last year that's going to be your status for twenty twenty one for next year. Your status just carries over and it just starts again. It just sounds so simple and that makes so much sense. I mean it's easy everyone. It's kind of equitable. I mean i'd like it. Well see this is where i get confused on this though is is it. Twenty twenty for twenty twenty one qualifying twenty twenty one. Twenty two qualifying. So you know. Maybe they'll they're saying it hilton is you can keep it through next year. But then what about qualifying for twenty two again. Twenty twenty one's gonna have the same. Problem is twenty twenty for qualifying that no one's gonna be flying as much especially in the first half of the year so i don at a complicated. It is complicated. And i think they i think hilton's set that That policy that that rule some months ago. When i think everybody sort of assumed that next year would be sort of maybe closer to to normal a return to normal. But that's that's not happening. Well think the united probably wouldn't be happy if they looked at this particular article because buried in the middle of the article is a links to other articles of course other related articles and the very prominent link right here in the middle of the story is united. Ads clorox three sixty sprayers to disinfect thirty-five terminals and busy airports. I mean that. Kind of goes i kind of reinforces the idea that maybe flying isn't as safe as we'd like it to be.

New York Governor Urges Mayor To Reconsider Public School Shutdown Plan

"That Governor Cuomo, Mayor de Blasio and the teachers union will reconsider that 3% infection trigger that they agreed to that would automatically shut the schools down. Live tomorrow. Diamond Marla. Good morning. What's the new thinking now? Good morning. Wayne. The city seven day average Corona virus infection rate remains a 2.5% and there was a shift over the weekend with the governor, urging the mayor to reconsider the current closure threshold. Would consider adding a factor of the positivity in the schools themselves. You close the school the Children men are circulating in that neighborhood that you just said had a very high infection race Less than 1% of tests, conducted in over 2800 public schools over the last month came back positive. A recent study out of Britain showed that extended closures of schools have serious consequences for Children's academic progress and for their mental health. Yeah, I remember you saying I think it was Friday. Here on the morning News Roundup. Marla about how infant testimony strong. A small the covert spread is in schools. Any idea why the infections are so low in schools? Well, contrary to what was first believed Children have not been the vectors of the virus, and this is especially true in the lower grade to the elementary school grades less is known about the spread in middle and high schools. Critics of closing the schools point too much higher infection rates linked to indoor dining at bars and Jim's, which opened at the same time as schools. No one is talking about stopping indoor dining in the city. And so they say they should not be talking about closing the schools.

And there's a really interesting book folks especially if you like to cook. It's got those really great new orleans recipes in it and this guy your grandfather. Your grandpa was one of the most colorful characters in new orleans from what i've read about him. It was unbelievable. Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got interested in doing this particular book. Okay very first of all. Thank you for having me on your show. appreciate it. earth off a married with two children in military. Over twenty years i retired in two thousand and eight and i've been aircraft mechanic for american airlines and now delta. I picked up this project after my father died and wait basically he motivated me to kind of pick up the torch and carry it. My dad was a dentist for forty years and he always wanted to do a screen. Play or movie per se. He's never do it. I have i did a screenplay originally. But i didn't go anywhere with it so i decided a couple years ago. Put a book together and kind of tell a story about my grandfather while i'm telling. The story basically blended in combination photos and recipes as i journey through his whole life. I start off when he's a childhood and carried on throughout his life until the success of his life until he died. It's a good read. It took me about eight years to go through it and do the research are did get a lot of information from father. My father ahead a manuscript he has deposition that he had put together with a attorney. Back in nineteen seventy seven. So i use all that information and took my tom everything in the book that i've talked about a kind of support it with a document and the article. Either that was given to me handed down to me or maybe that of actually found in the library found a lot of information doing the research about my grandfather in the library his life. It was pretty easy because his life was documented since he was a teenager so every time i tried to fill in the blank. Something in my father didn't pass down to me. I was able to answer all the questions that i wanted to answer about his life. You know interesting. That stuck a little bit about his early life. He fought under the name of jimmy moran which is kind of like no joy hupa in chicago took on an irish name in order to fight. I think more likely it was a lot of prejudice against italians in those days. Especially in new orleans. If you remember we go all the way back to the black hand days and they they killed the chief of police some Supposedly some black hander. Kill the chief of police in of new orleans storm to jail and hung. I dunno must have been six or eight say ends i. I can't remember exactly for sure. How many so. It would have been wise for him to fight on her an irish name. I would imagine tell me about his fight career. Let's get started. Well that was one thing. They kind of treat. My curiosity was widely. Any changes his name in the book. I did find a quote where someone asks them. Same questioned do an interview. He said he did for business reasons. But that was part of it because you gotta realize he didn't get into business opened up first restaurants on nineteen forty nine. He changed his name. I found articles where he had his name change in teens early. Nineteen hundreds. He hung around a couple of friends of his feet. Herman who's an italian pita. Golota was his last name. And the other guy. By the name of powell moran. His name was francis. Paul miranda and all of them were full blooded italian as you know and you listeners. Know that back. Then the titans will kinda frown upon. They weren't considered equal. Maybe to a lot of different even the irish whatever. So i've found out. He had changed his name one. He didn't want his mother was fighting when he was on the fighting card. You know and during the preliminaries in hours fighter. Irish name would draw big crowds for fight. A lot of people don't know new orleans was actually a big boxing city equivalent to chicago and new york but on a smaller scale of course but it was a big boxing town in a drool audit. And that's how he got to meet jack dempsey marciano. You know all those big fights back then because they came to new orleans and then he connected so his first circle of friends will all italians. pete. Herman was abandoned. Champion thinking sixty nine fights from nineteen twelve to nineteen twenty two now as far as my grandfather. He wasn't as big of a boxer as those guys. He did it for my research. Maybe about six years and then he got a little older. He got into referee in and he started refereeing. He did that until about twenty seven years old. Then that's when you up his barber shop in the open up a barber shop with a boxer front of his last name was burke in as when he got an barring after referee

New York City budget cuts will leave snow, trash on streets longer

"From coming and of the city. Sanitation Department officials are deciding how to respond to a $10 million cut to their budget. Salting and plowing operations may take longer this winter, resulting and fewer trash pickups. The Sanitation Department Snow removal team saw 400 jobs cut. Acting Commissioner Edward Grayson told city lawmakers, their constituents Macy trash piling up at the curb. When I think of it the way for the snow season on the front, it will be on what happens to immediately in the ship there, too, after snow and how fast we can put it back to also getting some garbage. Also getting some recycled. If a heavy snowfall is forecast, Grayson says, restaurant owners will be asked to break down their sidewalks, structures. We're going to tell you as early as possible that we're expecting some level of snow. Grayson says the department will try to use a brine solution when possible. Brandi Glanville Apologizes for Tactless Erika Jayne Divorce Post

"The real housewives are at war again. This time over a divorce so brandy glanville is being accused of cashing in on her friends. Heartbreaks brandy posted a link on instagram to story announcing erica james divorce. She later deleted the post in. Tweeted an apology. Saying i took xanax earlier. Because of what's going on in the world. I didn't see the post on my idea. Erica jane until this eve. And i deleted it the second i saw it. As i've said in the past. I leased my social media out i in no way would have been that insensitive interesting least her social media out meaning like she has a social media manager or did somebody probably controls. It and i do believe that she does that. I don't think brandi glanville is trying to start a media conglomerate and is trying to be the next to you but i do think that sometimes celebrities let loose and let people just control their things. Get in hot water. Sometimes i mean what would make even the social media possess. This is a good idea this rain here. People are talking about her doing this. This is why they do it. But i mean for her to write that that statement astor if i were i would be very upset at the first the first of all. I'm still unclear charisma. To your point about what leasing her social media out means like to me. It sounds like she allows other people to go on it and post on behalf of her but just on behalf of what they think is like. I don't know just determine a little confusing hard to follow. I don't think brandi glanville type of personality as we've seen many times over like put her foot in something and then take it out and be like i didn't mean to do that. I think she sees things through. So i believe her when she says i wasn't aware what was going on but i just think it's also one of those things that's like why this is like another little thing that brandies attached to that like. She didn't mean anything by but like now. Everyone's speculating insensitive. Don't you guys thing. Set the th. That should not have no women. No none of the women should be talking about erica. Cajones divorce on their social media. That can be on the show dealt with on the show reportedly win a celebrity has a lincoln their bio. It can usually mean that they're getting paid for the post. And i just checked right before we came on the air. The lincoln brand new bios till goes to this story. She didn't website I'll double check. The website will pay you to post for them. I have friends that are in acquaintances. That are famous and relatively known people that i talked to on a weekly basis. And of course i hear gossip about them all the time. I never bring it up until they bring it up. Because i never know win. Our how are what they want to talk about. So i'm going to bring it up not gonna bring it up. Panning could be the camera like here. This why it's still linking to it. Okay so i'm very confused on. If she really is sorry didn't mean to lease it out. Why still keep it in the bio. Unless like she has a contract with celebres and she needs to keep it up there for certain amount of hours. Something along those lines to nevada those votes. Because you're looking way too deep. Today's use your tactic somewhere else where it's day. I'm just curious. Okay well good news you guys. Maybe bad news. I dunno depends on how you feel about the whole relationship and the whole situation but we just got some photos of bachelorette clare crawley that. We have to talk about claire. Who spotted in her hometown rocky and massive diamond ramo on that finger. John don't do it like no. Don't talk about the shape of the rig. You know. I mean these married. Here's the thing that's definitely a wedding ring or engagement ring She knows she's going to be photographed. She knows we're going to speculate about that isn't the isn't the again. I'm not the biggest bachelor person in the world but isn't the point to like keep the end result of what happens to you completely secret until the series is wrapped. I don't think she really cares. Guys this really crazy that's right. I don't think she gives a shit. And i think the reason is. I don't think leaving the show was her choice. I've looked back and looked at this. Producer are abc executive. Did this podcast with nick. Vile and in the podcast. They talked about clare crawley and the producer said and i quote when she gave herself. The group rose because dell wasn't in the group that's when we started making the call. So i think at that point clare. Crawley was told. You might have to leave with dale this unacceptable. And you have to go. If they're going to break the contract and break the rules. I'm gonna do the same damn thing and i'm going to rub it in their basis. I found love and i. That's a good point because typically the reason why is because they are under contract and they can truly get sued if they let the cat out of the bag too soon. Isn't that's why there's sometimes photos so adamant about keeping secrets but you may have good argument there. If they if she feels that she could that they've worked the contract. I ending her season. Then she might say all bets off. Y'all can just no. I did damn thing now. Do you think she actually went through and got married forty. She's just letting everybody else because also that's that's public record right like if people get married. That's the bachelor does not control the courts like we. We could look that up. It's interesting. I think if things were so bad obviously. This season has taken a turn. That i don't think anybody has seen it bachelor history. I can't believe. I just said bachelor history a cod my street. Anyway so i don't. We've never seen this in the past. But i don't think. I think if there was such tension between her and This show we would hear more about that. Obviously we've heard about her leaving. I don. I don't know. I think it just keeps people engaged.

"diamond" Discussed on Mindy Diamond on Independence: A Podcast for Financial Advisors Considering Change

"So i think it's fair to say that you guys i republic wealth management on the map first republic had always had a wealth management unit but it was asleep one and even though there were some advisors under the platform that we're generating multi-million annual revenue. They were sleepy and the firm really wasn't out there actively recruiting and they were rarely the first choice of any top adviser looking to make a change there is no question that the acquisition of luminous and then followed by the acquisition of paul trump and tunnels constellation really began to capture the attention of wirehouse advisors. That was really the beginning of it. First republic has had great successively in recruiting corner office. Wirehouse advisors and those folks are joining because they believe it offers a significantly less bureaucratic culture than the wirehouse world with more of a boutique environment and the firm is paying competitive transition packages. I love to hear what you thought about. First republic's culture and value proposition. Let me i just say that. If i wasn't creating evoke advisers and being our platform i would definitely stay at first. Public republic is a great organization. Imagine team led by bob thornton on the wealth. Managers side has done an incredible job. They really have and the main thing. All of those things you say are true. Many i think the main reason why people should consider Public because the bank really tries does try to do. What's best for the client. They have been organization. That i really believe is looking for the best interests of the client so they definitely have have a great platform and again the size issues. What we were concerned with and and you know just harder to manage when when the assets growing so quickly like that in especially in in some areas where you size really embarrassed they performance so i really believe that there there has entails different from from others when we came over. The key thing was that we went into the a right. We went from ra to ra for sha public. We did not go into the broker dealer and frost. That was the that was a threshold item sticking with first republic for a moment. You said it yourself. You're only in business for five years before you sold to first republic so did first republic come knocking or were you looking for an acquirer. The appropriate boutique acquire. I would answer by saying it was probably both in that. Lots of firms came knocking. I was surprised. I i would be probably two out over my skis. Say at least two a month but it felt like at least two a month. People call up in sam a private equity shop bro. I know i represent a bank and and so fielding these inquiries and they would come in through one partly so the rarely with all of the partners need with the opportunity to understand what they were trying to do. David comeback in salads with this guy won a look at maybe acquiring the firm. Eric would or somebody else so it started by people coming and knocking on our door. Once the knock scott loud enough we felt like we should somebody be should explore this we then retain professional help and went out and sort of did it what i consider to be properly right for that. If we're gonna consider doing let's see what the universe looks like doing strategically we didn't want to just add hawk fall into something we're we're we're much more I think our dna has to be proactive about things not reactive to things in everything we do. This is one of those things where our heads were sorta down. We're serving our clients and trying to grow business and people kept saying you're the prettiest girl dance. We should definitely need talk about doing an acquisition when that got to be to the senate was. We brought in professional help to help manage that process. Yeah it's so interesting. I mean you know. We said we agree that that acquisition of luminous really put first republic on the map. And so i remember reading at the time that the amount that they paid to acquire luminous was mind boggling at the time i mean no one had seen the a deal like that in wealth management for you know for a an individual business and yet today we're watching a hundred twenty five million dollars sale five years later is still an extraordinary deal but the truth is today regularly. The market is incredibly robust and every day were reading about an acquisition because private equity acquirers. Any number of constituencies see wealth management in new Wealth business as a really good investment. If i admitted on that topic one of the disappointments i had the day after we founded evoke and all the press comes out and i think there were four different articles written about david. I with that we ripped off the bank and that somehow they were foolish to whoever acquired us. What were they thinking to pay that much money for us in the first place. And it kinda bummed me out a little bit because to your point. I'm not suggesting for minute. We didn't have a great outcome. But but our i think our clients got a great outcome that we were able to service them better and give them things that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise and more over the bank. Got a huge win in that we bought into twelve lesnar asset management business. A leopard had over one hundred fifty billion dollars. So i think it was one of those rare things in life where all the constituents benefitted I like to think of. It is a good outcome. We just left. Because we had differences strategically and i get frustrated. When i hear that from people that somehow somebody had been taken advantage of. Because i don't that's all yeah no. I don't think that's true at all. I wanna pivot next to the third time you made wealth management history by leaving first republic last year and separating from your several partners informing evoke. But i agree with you. I think that if you were to ask first republic they'd be one of the first to tell you it was a wonderful deal one because they thought you're a great you know again it. Put them on the map and everybody benefited from it. I don't think that they feel for a second that they got taken advantage of are that it was a bad deal. I know that they were disappointed to lose you. But i don't think that they regretted having bought you in the first place. I would agree with you. Strongly on that point in two thousand eight well before going. Independent was the mainstream option. It is today. It was really clear to mark and david that they needed to make a move. That was in the best interest of their clients. One were they could have greater control and freedom to do what they thought was best. They didn't see that as courageous but in fact as an imperative then came a second move to first republic which allowed them to grow the business further yet still left them feeling that there was more to be done in our next episode mark. David discussed building in. Ria the second time around in a world that looks very different than it did. A dozen years ago. What Happens Now: Counting Ballots In New York

"Before some New York races are called because they are so close to the CBS is Marlo Diamond filled us in on that there were a few problems reported and most voters it through New York polling sites on election Day because so many opted to vote early or by absentee ballot. Those ballots won't be counted for days, says Susan Learner, the executive director of Common Cause. New York Voters should understand that we will not know the results of many close races until more than a week later. And that is not the death of democracy but rather a sign of life. Any candidate who declares victory too soon, says Lerner diminishes the votes of both military and other absentee voters. The board of election can and must count absentee ballots carefully and that may mean official results in some district's won't be certified until Thanksgiving. Marla Diamond,

Vansilli talks about CS and trying out Diabolical

"Our next guest on the centering East sports podcasts has been involved with the scene for a very long time before it was even called E. Sports, believe it or not please welcome to the show van. Silly guys. Thank you so much for having me. It's going great in some kicked in for the past two days. So I'm like a little bit groggy here and there, but still super excited to be part of the show. Thank you so much for having me. You've been. Go ahead tell us about I mean he you've been pretty busy. It's okay to be a little. For sure for I. Think I think as we're GONNA talk about him I'm I'm assuming very soon is. Valerie Valerie has been keeping myself busy, not only just trying to follow the scene, but just trying to rank up as well because I I feel like to this day even though I've been in the scene for such a long time for sports, you still have to prove yourself to the community so I don't want people to go like, oh should caster kick w what a bad castor you know so I I need to bring myself up to the diamond platform at least and then hopefully immortal at some point. It's cool that you mentioned that I wanNA actually touch on that for a second say. been casting for a long time right? Not since what two thousand and three? Thousand two, thousand and three. It was my first ever event I started really dippy my toes into it in two thousand and two with quake three urban terror. So we're we're going way back at that point you know. So we tim and I both played quake three. Urban terrorists. Okay. Okay. What what is urban terror I in another interview you? Yes. So it could actually it was the the MoD for quake three actually helped me transition over to counteracting duty one when those came out because urban terror was kind of like. A similar version of action quake with you guys played quake. quake. But if not, you could compare counterstrike with with some bunny hopping, including stamina and sliding. So it was a lot of. You had to buy weapons. So they were they were actually Actually, had to choose weapons instead of buying. So you're allowed to choose for example, let's say you go end for each one of them had little perks, and if you chose certain perks than it would nullify getting certain type of equipment, she could banish your teammates by budget holding caps lock, and then the the they're able to go off way but the damage internal organs shot in the leg or no body or head has that type of damage. So it has that type of hit. Boxes. So you really have to be good and in terms of aiming for the head to to make sure that you kill Vassar but the the same style is still very counterstrike he where it's like a five five or six six but you bunny hop across the map and plant bombs on onto different sites, and of course, the opponents have to defuse or you have just a regular team survivor. So it's just like within a timer, you have to kill everybody at a certain point. Survivor played coming from that arena shooter world. ANY INTERESTING DIABOLICAL I've been playing diabolical with like the first Beta came out I love it I'm I'm really not good at it. Actually I'm good with the I'm with the the what they call the rocket launcher I forgot what the they have different course but the one that's like the rail gun holy crap. I'm not good with a really be more like when I play to increase I was all about rails but now I just can't hit anything I. Think I got that boom that funny hit me but. The boomer foul yeah one hundred percent I still I still love watching fatality play I still love watching lex play and de can play as well and of course, they're screaming a lot and you see a couple of local tournaments or smaller tournaments with like a Dang and all them playing him to just to be able to see like PS PSB arena ps instead of being quick champions what they tried to do I'm just happy to see a different style or that style comeback with diabolical to what quarter cle the routes used to be for for quick. Do you think the arena shooter will ever come back in a big way. With diabolical I think it will to be honest like because when when you when you used to launch a for example painkiller or quake three, CPA, it was all about how fast people are moving around the map in how good they were in terms of aiming but also predicting where your opponents going to be because you have to control the rail, you had to control the Rock and you have to control the items. There's so much mental timing that goes into playing a repeat that people don't really understand the the whole concept around good you have to be to be top. Notch in arena ps but as a simple spectator, it's so much easier to follow. Because now you know it's a one vs one. You know who you're following your when you're looking at the screen and you know basically the concept of He needs to pick up weapons he needs to the other guy you look at the HP, you look Winter GonNa, pick up armor, and then you know that there's going to be like the whole time or kind of thing what I like about diabolical in the dual into dual range in what the ad is the i? Think it's called Golden Kill or The last kill. Agar's should have something. You have to basically within a ten minute timer. If you're actually destroying the guy that tarmac goes down a little bit faster, and then once it gets to that timer, the wouldn't lead still has to do one more kill to secure the win. So there's still a chance for the second person to to make a comeback into the game and hopefully win a sudden death overtime or something, which is great because back then again, when looking quake three and you're looking at. Painkiller it's like if the guys by five enters two minutes, left users hiding for the rest of the map and he's just GonNa win by time. Even with quake champions just with this last quake con championship like the forget the guys who were in the finals like the guy was up by eight kills and it was like. Yeah. Exactly. It's super boring. So I think that adds a nice concept and a good little changed uranium ps where I think I think I could actually get pretty big I. Mean you have some big names that are still support and behind it like I said like Didi keys in there and and I'm a digi wheat lows playing it similar it from time to time and he has like it i. mean it's it's produced by good studios and two good has been very, very, very much involved with with sports in his in his days. and His career as well. So I think I think they have the right people to try to push into the next level.

New York's JFK Cargo Heists Hauled In $6M Worth Of Goods

"Accused of stealing millions of dollars of high end goods. WCBS reporter Marla Diamond is on the story. She joins us now. Marla, the Queens district attorney, made reference to an infamous cargo heist at JFK during her announcement. She said. This theft was even bigger. Who's accused and what were they able to pull off What Melinda Katz said that this hall was larger than the infamous Luton's a heist. Portrayed in the movie Goodfellas in 19 seventies, a former Delta employees and to airport truckers are among the six people arrested in this ring. The Cats says they use their inside knowledge of the airport and then forge documents containing accurate details of arriving cargo to haul away $6 million in luxury goods. Well, what were the thieves? After anything, they could get their hands on with the designer label, Gucci, Prada, Chanel handbags, shoes, clothing accessories sunglasses, which they stored at an empty hair salon near the airport. Eventually, authorities were able to get into That hair salon and they found just boxes and boxes of luxury merchandise worth about 2.5 million. That's what they were able to recover. Is anything being done to prevent these crimes from happening in the future? Well, it's it's hard to imagine that much merchandise making it out of JFK with nobody knowing, but apparently it does happen from time to time. Cat said that one, you know thing that people who are at the airport should rely on is safety. And for that reason, she said, that they are increasing surveillance at these hangars. The FBI was also involved in this because of the international scope of the case. They have NYPD monitoring these cargo holds in the hopes that it doesn't happen again. "On the last episode, British Imperialist Cecil Rhodes led De Beers to victory in the struggle to control South Africa's diamond mines. Roads then used his diamond monopoly to constrict supply and Jack Up prices inflating the prophets, he then used to finance his colonial ambitions. When he died in one, thousand, nine, hundred two, he left scars that still fester across southern Africa. Now. It's nineteen eighteen. Germany's just lost world. War One and the future of Namibia's diamond coast hangs in the ballots. South Africa occupied neighbouring German colony in Nineteen fifteen, and now faces a choice return the minds to its prewar German owners. Or claim it as a spoil of war. This is episode to. The puppet master. Early, Nineteen Nineteen Johannesburg South Africa. Ernest Oppenheimer enters the lobby of the Savoy Hotel. He's here to meet Henry Hull One of South Africa's top lawyers. Oppenheimer spots him at a corner table reading the Sunday Times. Two years ago, whole help Oppenheimer get the money. He needed to form the mining company Anglo American which minds goal. They've been tight ever since. Mr Hope I hope I didn't keep you waiting long. No does not at all. So you have news for me, yes. My friends in the British government tell me the German owners of South West Africa's diamond mines have been asking whether they should resume or sell their operations. They're worried, yes. They fear the South African government will confiscate their minds. Oppenheimer sits back in his chair. He senses. This could be his chance to break into diamond mining. Gold may be profitable, but Oppenheimer doesn't love. Go at least not in the way. He loves diamonds. To him, diamonds are mysterious and magical. Each stone has its own unique shape color shimmer. Get that with Gold Gold is uniform and plain. Gold is always just go. Mr Hull. Would you agree that now is in opportune time to make an offer to the Germans? Yes. Will. The be is be a problem. I here they're under the impression that the Germans won't sell Oppenheimer smiles. You can already see how it will work. He gets the Germans to sell the him. Then he rolls all their interest into a new company through that company, he will control a fifth of the world's diamonds and then. Then, he can humble beers. Mr Hull I'd like to act on this information, but I have to be. Discreet. I don't want to beers to be aware of my involvement. Could you approach the Germans on my behalf? It would be my pleasure. April nineteen nineteen Berlin Germany. Era Blooberg bangs on the door of the mansion owned by Diamond Magnate Abuse Stout. Lubar is a German mining lawyer and he's always in a hurry. A maid opens the door. Hello out of my way. I'm a see Mr stock before the made can object lubar barges past. Mrs Doubt Mrs Dow Stock Enters. The hallway from the garden. What is all this? Mr Luther I thought you were in, South Africa. We have to talk. There's an answer to our South African problem. Staubach leads Lubar into the study. Mr Style I have been approached by a lawyer on behalf of a South African client. This client wishes to buy consolidate the diamond mines of South West Africa Stock Blake's the entire forbidden zone. Yes, all of it. The client will pay three point five million pounds half in cash. The rest is stuck in the new mining company that will be formed. No No, no I'm not selling. It's out of the question. lubar frowns and starts pacing the room. Missed his style. If the South African government confiscate your mind. You will get nothing. Nothing. This offer will take the mines out of German ownership and head off that threat. Is the only way to protect your wealth. Stout sits and puts his head in his hands. He can't believe it's come to this, but he knows Lubar is right. Fine Fine. So who is the south, African buyer, the Beers I assume it's not to be as I know that much, but the lawyer will reveal nothing more just that he represents an important South African interest. In November. Nineteen, nineteen, the German diamond magnets gathering Amsterdam to sign over their diamond mines. They're still in the dark. About who is masterminding the takeover, but The fear of losing everything is pushed them into the arms of this mystery buyer. The deal places the diamond mines under the control of a new company consolidated diamond mines. And with a contract signed Ernest Oppenheimer. From the shadows and goes public with his acquisition of the southwest. Diamond Fields. Soon. Oppenheimer receives an invitation to meet with the chairman. Of De Beers. Early, Nineteen Twenty Kimberley South Africa. In the De Beers, boardroom oppenheimer runs his hand along the long Mahogany Table As he reaches the end. He notices the portrait of company Founder Cecil Rhodes on the wall. He moves in for a closer look as he does. De Beers Sixty eight year old chairman David Harrison. Here's the room. He walks over to join Oppenheimer in meiring portrait. It. Did you have a meet him? Mr Oppenheimer No. I only came to South Africa after Mr Roads passing well. sessile was cold man, but he knew the truth about diamonds. What does that? Value is all about perception. The perception of scarcity and the way you maintain that perception is by creating scarcity. Very much agree. So you say Mr, Oppenheimer, but. Aren't you trying to compete with us? No, no, not at all. In fact, I sincerely hope to work alongside two beers as part of the Diamond Syndicate. Harris gives oppenheimer puzzle look. The diamond, syndicate is the price-fixing cartel founded by roads. From its London headquarters controls the flow of diamonds out of the minds and onto the market. Each year the syndicate tells diamond mining companies to beers included in other countries how many gemstones they can produce and buys their entire output at pre agreed price in exchange for the guaranteed sale at a good price. The minds only sell to the syndicate. Next the syndicate sells those rough diamonds to a select group of diamond wholesalers. The syndicate sets the price in wholesalers agreed to pay it. In return the wholesalers. No,.

"A quick note that this episode includes adult language in portrays characters who hold racist and anti. Semitic views. Please take care while listening. Eighteen, seventy two the king of Prussia Pub East London. David Harris squeezes through the crowd and slumps down a Barstool next to his cousin. Barney Bernado. Like the rich folks have. We're not was twenty years old with a thin face and a snub nose. He removes his scruffy top hat and looks curiously at the drink. Champagne well, cousin. You must have done well for yourself in. Africa did more than that I got rich on roulette. Started with a pound. A single pound ended the night with fourteen hundred quid. Bernardo's is widen. He's grown up in the narrow eastern slobs, living off his wits, and sometimes his fist well done. What are you going to do next? I'm going back to Africa this plenty more money to be made of those diamond fields, and they don't give you such a hard time for being Jewish either that helps so. What's The Cape like? We're not does not the only one asking that question. Three years ago, the Cape Colony at the southern tip of Africa was a forlorn outpost of the British Empire, but then people found diamonds the first new source of diamonds in centuries. So now, fortune hunters are racing to the Cape's remote scrubland. What's it like? Well is strange flat is a frying pan tries a bone, and when it should be summer, it's winter and when it should be winter, it summer Bernado looks confused. There giant birds, too tall is a man faster than a horse and with caused. That can cut you in half. They can't fly though. One day, these birds came to drink at the river women if the mud for diamonds, the men started thinking. What if what if those birds swallow to diamond when drinking? Bernado leans forward to catch every word this bizarre tale, so they get their rifles and shoot them. All Boom Boom boom slaughtered the lot then they slice them open and dig through their entrails with their hands, until their elbow deep in blood and dirt shit. Did they find any diamonds. No, but they could have. Men find diamonds all over out there. I! Tell you Barney the riches are there for the taking? Eyeglasses empty another round. Bernardo nods by the time. His cousin returns. He's decided to join the diamond rush to. But there's no guarantee he'll be popping champagne corks anytime soon. "Let us say a Lotta jared diamond. Yesterday. It was somewhat lost in the shuffle body proposal was reported about a fifty or so game schedule Jared. Diamond refers to this as the nuclear option in a tweet that he posted earlier today, jared diamond covers baseball for the Wall Street Journal. He's an author, the name the book if you are inclined and I would highly recommend it, not that I've read it just based on Jared's writing. It's called swing. Kings jared dominant of the Wall Street Journal joins us on extra thirteen sixty, jared Darren Smith. Thank you very much. We'll talk to you. Appreciate it so overall the fact that we had an MLB players association proposal Sunday. We had league proposal yesterday. Would you say before we get into the particulars? Is this? Should this be perceived as good news that at least the two sides are talking? Low I think it's important to clarify that. The the League did not submit a counter proposal to the Union yesterday. The League is floating through the media that they have this idea of potentially trying to force the players and do a short season, but as of just about an hour or so ago, that had not actually been submitted to the Union in fact. Fact Union heard about that idea that the League is now floating for the first time on ESPN yesterday at the same time, everybody else heard about it when Jeff passing on sportscenter and reported it so until there's a formal proposal like that. Put in front of the players in their minds. I think everyone's mind suggest viewed as posturing for now. All right strike that question from the record, jared, then, what are we to make now? It's two times. Maybe that's not enough to suggest. It's a trend. But what do we make out of proposals floated through media before the Players Association even gets wind of themselves. But? I think at this point I think. Everyone's a little frustrated with all negotiating in public, but there is some good news out of what happened yesterday. At least I think. Was that a couple of days ago, really two days ago, the owner's position was there no scenario where the players will will receive their pro rated salary, and now suddenly the owner seem open to okay fine. We'll give you your parade salaries, but only it has to be fifty games. You can't go over fifty games well, it's. It's not a big stretch to the helper hop that fifty games could turn into eighty. Just the fact that the owners have gone from. We will never pay your prorated salary to fine. We'll do it, but only under these condition that's assigned to me that things are starting to move. The rhetoric is still intense. There's still a lot of sniping publicly and privately, but it does seem like finally. People are starting to slowly move off their positions, and hopefully that could lead to a real conversation. Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal joining us on extra thirteen sixty. If you're my program director, how much time would you recommend I spent on the fifty game idea?.

"A shortage of diamonds in the future. Paul argues that in like five. To ten years diamonds from the earth will become rare again because fewer minds are being cultivated that scarcity but de Beers faked through. Their monopoly. Might actually come true. So this means there's two kinds of diamonds in the market right now. Mind or natural diamonds. The kind that are getting rarer and more expensive and lab grown diamonds or manmade diamonds which are proliferating and getting cheaper. The question is. Can you tell the difference and does it matter so? I think it's important to make the distinction that manmade and natural diamonds can be distinguished with certainty. Yeah I mean that's interesting that you're working. You realize that. Listen Paul. I can't see the difference between lab diamonds and natural diamonds. You can't with the naked eye and even with the official fancy equipment. Some diamond sellers in the Diamond District. Can't tell the difference either regular test diamond when I visited the diamond district? I asked a couple of jewelers to look at a pair of lab grown diamond earrings. I know for a fact that these earrings are lab grown. They were sent to me by a lab grown diamonds company and these two diamond sellers with booths across from each other took turns testing each during and I am fairly certain that they both got it wrong. He said that one's a jackpot because both jewelers told me that one earring was quote unquote real and the other was lab-grown. One diamond cellar offered to buy the real diamond for between five hundred. Two thousand dollars thousand dollars become nothing and then the other one you like. What's a really low price for that one one hundred you know? It's not big but I don't have. You could hear that. But he said the lab grown diamond would only be worth about one hundred dollars so one earing was supposedly worth ten times more than the other and again. I can't emphasize enough but this pair of earrings came from the same laboratory. We've value diamonds for their perceived worth so much more than anything about the way they actually look so negate serie thousand dollars go of eight thousand dollars. Oh can WANNA put that out kind of smart very long. Never mind idea. Don't let your partner but I guess it's still just seems odd to talk about how much your proposal diamond costs. If you can't see the difference I mean it shouldn't matter right and the question is would proposing to someone with one hundred dollar diamond with that. Have kind of the same impact and this is something. That's not practical or not rational so I don't see a diamond. As an investment and the material object probably an investment and a commitment that you're trying to portray Katherine Money at Brilliant Earth gave me pretty much the same answer. The diamonds are valuable because they are tied to our deepest relationships. It's a representation of commitment and love and values at the time. I thought this answer was a bit of an evasive cop out. But it's not. This is how real tangible value has been created and signed by Beers shore. And by all of us by everyone myself included. Who wondered Courtney and Sean were really engaged without a ring without a diamond I bought? I was better. But you're not look at this frigging sparkly thing. It's so beautiful coordinate caved. I was like okay. We can get rings. I give in But we have to get them vintage if you really wanted to get diamond and minimize your impact of vintage. Diamond is the way to go compared to digging a massive hole in the earth or a room full of humming reactors. Your grandmother's ring doesn't emit any fresh. We went to the Alameda flea market. Courtney's ring has not one but two diamonds and in the center is a ruby. John's ring has sapphire that ended up being ruby and Sapphire. I ended up with Ruby. Which is the POKEMON game? I'm playing in. China ended up with Sapphire. Which is the POKEMON game? She's playing. It's so cute. The rings still fit into their nerdy little world and even though diamond engagement rings are built on bedrock of BS concocted tradition. All traditions get made up somehow and they become more authentic as they get ossified in time. Courtney and Sean love their rings because they loved each other it is not and has never been a rational thing.

"From deep below the ground none is more precious or more coveted than the diamond and among the various classifications of diamonds. There is none that is more precious than the elusive naturally occurring blue diamonds which make up only zero point one percent of all diamonds in existence. Blue diamonds are uncommon their type two B classification indicates that their atomic structure lacks the element of nitrogen and thus they can absorb a higher spectrum of light rays if you expose a blue diamond to UV LIGHT. It will maintain an afterglow for a few seconds shifting from blue to green in a stunning display of light and color. Isn't it possible that this fantastic glow indicates something more some deeper power inherent in blue diamonds in the nineteen sixties a group of scientists on to answer that question by testing the effect of light on the infamous? Hope Diamond. The hope diamond had a history spanning over three hundred years. It's legacy was the series of gruesome tragic deaths suffered by many of its previous owners the scientists dimmed the lights and expose the hope diamond to UV. Light when the experiment was done they turned off all the lights to see how the diamond glowed the hope. Diamond didn't glow blue or even green. It cast a shade of dark murderous read onto the scientists. Some of them were excited. They had just proved that the hope diamond was unique in its chemical makeup but others were concerned the deep menacing crimson that the diamond cast about seemed like some kind of warning or perhaps it was a confirmation that the diamond was truly curse.

Celebrity Endorsements and Small Businesses with Julie Kramer and Emma Diamond

"We were presented with this opportunity. Julian i were really trying to figure out a way to put this in the context of our podcast and had incorporated of small businesses with pop culture and the celebrity content that we talk about and there are a lot of different ways to do this but something that juliana have always been really interested in is organic and at times inorganic celebrity endorsements and the effects that they have on small businesses. So we kind of decided to do. I guess the way that this episode is gonna go down is you know i. We're just gonna talk about some celebrity. Shoutout endorsements that we've seen. And i'm sure wants you guys can relate you just because they're really fun to talk about and then we actually got the chance to speak to some small business owners that have been directly impacted by these celebrity shouts and it was just like so much fun. Wasn't it so much fine like so interesting so informative in really something that i think. We care about a lot so it was so exciting process to be able to do. Yeah i just wanna give a disclaimer. None of the people that we interviewed. You know. we're not getting paid to do this. We're not getting cut of any of the prophets at all from the people that we interviewed. These are just genuinely businesses that we believe in. And you know. We took bits and pieces from each of the different conversation that we thought were the most applicable. And i'm just really excited. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as we did. So i wanna frame this by putting it in this context if you guys remember when kylie jenner did her office tour of kylie cosmetics. She's going around. She gets the part where she showing her refrigerator. And she purposely has videographer make a note to blur out her favorite drink because she said she's like if i showed this it'll be sold out immediately if i it's my favourite which you know if you know nothing about the kardashians sounds really narcissistic. But it's absolutely accurate accurate to the point. Where even though they blurted out it started a whole trend online of trying to figure out what the drink was and people are posting on twitter. And i think even read it saying like it has this label. This color like this is what we can tell from the blurred out images because people especially because blurred out. They wanted to know so badly. Yeah and especially because that was a perfect example of clearly. That wasn't a paid thing like this was really disfavor. Drinking people are by people. I mean like us. Also i think are just obsessed with what celebrities find to be worth. I think we think of people that have all the resources in the world that of course they're gonna choose the best of the best and so i think that's one of the reasons that sometimes we trust their opinions on things that aren't being paid for 'cause it's like oh if it's good enough for them you know i think yeah and i think also a lot of times. When it's a non paid endorsement. We trust so much because we have the mentality of like they could get paid for this and they like it. There's something about them saying in the weight that carries like i could get paid for this but i'm not being paid just genuinely like this so much where you're like okay. If there's something up they're putting out for free and it could be a business opportunity but they don't need it just because they like it so much. I think that carries so much weight for us consumers. I totally agree you know. Also just the power of kylie jenner's just massive in general but one of the things is she. She tweeted saying kylie fact. I eat three packs of pomegranates. Everyday and anytime. She's done towards on her apps. Or if you just see on her story she's always eating pomegranates. And her brand that she pom wonderful and it was reported that sales rose by sixty nine percent after she talked about the brand online is crazy. I like the power that kylie jenner has a think is honestly unparalleled because the opposite end of that would be when she spoke about not linking snapchat anymore tanked. That's exactly what. I was about to say about snapchat wishes. They were pom wonderful

"He shares is a tough one for me as a recruiter. While it's always been our priority to provide value at this time. It seems even more important. It is my job to talk with people about considering change but change is not what people want right now. They want stability. So how can a recruiter? Who cold calls for a living add value? I'm figuring that out as I speak but I do think that sharing information like this can be helpful. At least I hope so. And as for point number eight the notion of focusing on my response to challenging events instead of the events themselves seems particularly relevant right now. We're in the midst of a crisis. I can either spread panic or I can be a source of calm to my staff. My family and my clients. I can help people to remember that we are never really in control of events. Would I know without a doubt? Is that while? I can't control the weather or the stock market or the virus. "And if you're listening to the series on the apple PODCAST APP be sure to leave the the star rating and review. It serves the guide to us as well as your colleagues. In the wealth management industry may be searching for valuable content to tune into and what I want to talk to you about. Today was something that came to mind. After just having recorded a video with industry icon on Josh Brown. Josh asked me a smart question. He said what are the real trends relative to recruiting in two thousand and twenty. What do you think the things that aren't being talked about enough? That should be and as I see it there are three things. One or potential clashes more clashes now between young a young and old. And what I mean by that is really more next Gen advisers and the senior advisors for whom they've partnered so for years it was a great incentive for younger advisors or next Gen Advisors to partner with senior folks because they would become the heir-apparent and while that's still can be a great opportunity. The problem is this. The big firms have all established these retire in place programs and these retire in place programs. Give strong incentive for a senior adviser to sign onto them to have a way to monetize their life's work without having to go through the hassle of a move and extensively relief for the younger generation or the next gen advisor to inherit or take over the book of business. The problem and the potential clash lies in the fact that the the burden really is placed on the next gen adviser. It's a wonderful way for the senior adviser or soon to retire adviser to monetize his life's work but the next gen adviser is really paying for that book and it's taking away his or her optionality. Because during the life of the agreement that next-gen adviser is tying himself or herself to the firm. Little control over what can happen during that period of time and really in a lot of ways devaluing their business because with less optionality they become more expensive to recruit secondly Lee with respect to those retire in place programs. The big firms are all working. Hard to prevent attrition and tie more advisors up via. Yeah those programs young and old the next Gen inheritors and the senior advisors the problem. Is this anecdotally. Speaking as we see it. Those programs are actually having the opposite effect. The more the big firms are attempting to tie these advisers up. The more they bristle at the notion of being limited and the more they want to go so as a result that ties back into the notion of the clash the should I stay or should I go. You've got a younger generation or next Gen. Inheritor may be anxious to leave. And you've got a senior adviser wants to stay and take the path of least resistance. The third thing is is could perhaps be one of the most notable things and it's the notion that the wire the houses are the sleeping giants and I call them sleeping giants because for the last few years. The wire houses notably Morgan Maryland. UBS have largely taken a hiatus except in limited cases from active recruiting their position. Was We want to focus on retention. We want to invest in our advisor. Force we want to prevent attrition and we are going to spend less of our efforts on recruiting except in select cases and they've largely largely stuck to that but what we starting to see our certainly Morgan in UBS and for sure wells being very active in the race for top talent and becoming more. So so here's what's happened in the last few years the top bidders the highest bidders the top payers or recruiters for top advisor talent. The last couple of years has been outside the wirehouse world firms like Rockefeller capital management like first republic wealth management. Like Arby's see have been the biggest winners and the top bids and while that continues to be the case and we've watched extraordinarily sophisticated and the industry's most productive teams going to those firms. I do believe that twenty twenty and beyond is going to see the likes of Morgan. Ub House in probably Morillas well become more active and more active may actually mean that they will have to their bids. What will be interesting to to see is how the advisor talent response to it? It's been easy enough for advisors in these last couple of years to respond to the high a bids by Rockefeller and first Republican or B. C.. Because they are the firms that also offer advisors more freedom flexibility and control. But if the wirehouse has come back strong in recruiting and they begin to offer big money that competes evenly with the likes of Rockefeller Learn First Republican or BC. Will that be enough to capture the attention of more advisor talent. I think that that remains to be seen the final final comment I'll make is. I am going to be writing a piece that will be published next week that speaks to the notion of handwriting on the wall and I think in response to that quarry of how will advisors respond to the notion of wirehouse is getting active again and raising the bids in terms of recruiting. How will advisors respond has everything to do with the way in which advisors will read? The tea leaves the handwriting on the wall. And what I mean by that is advisors really need to look at the actions. Their firms are taking and assess intent to essentially hypothesize the size or to predict. What do I think my firm means by doing? X. And X. can mean something being done to the adviser personally. The adviser adviser gets called in by the compliance department. What is the intent to? I believe that my firm is intending to create problems for me and looking to drive me out or do I believe it's just about whatever the issue is and I move on but pan writing on the wall can often be more global issues. It can be things leg. There were rumors that my firm will be sold. It could be things like we're watching advisor force that worries that incrementally their firms may may be moving toward a salary bonus model and that's probably the biggest handwriting on the wall in a big leap and I am not sitting here saying that. I believe that advisors in fact you're going to be put on salary bonus in the next five years. I don't believe that at all but what I do believe is that there is handwriting on the wall or intention to be discerned concerned by advisors when they're firms change compensation when their firms do things like Merrill Lynch is recruiting a new generation of younger advisors. That are in fact are being paid on salary bonus. It's up to the advisors to look not only what is the immediate intent or the immediate impact of the action. But also what could it mean for my future going forward and so the advisors in that decision or that calculus of state versus go or in deciding do if I am to move to a move to another wirehouse or do I move to one of these sort of non wirehouse like models or go into the furthest distance which would be to go fully independent. I'm having to sort of hypothesize where I think. The industry is going to head over over the next couple of years and what the firms will do thank you for listening learning to this industry. "What's it called the the little of the God? What's that thing called -iety yeah she? He was saying both had caused her so much pain and discomfort that he didn't want her to have to do that but he was just saying you know they're in a place of trying to figure out they're not one hundred percent sure if they want kids but they're not a hundred percent sure that they don't want kids but yeah I mean Easton in both eastern and Marc Keller like I mean the amount of messages and emails. I think we've diamonds in the rock. Yeah so we agree. Thank you saying that but it does it. I I think that the defendant men here but I think guys who just kind of oblivious you know they're just raved. I girls are on the pill that'll take care of that but they need to be educated than eighty realize that. That's not just a simple thing is now like taking a vitamin every day. It can mess you WAB. It's great we got amy off the pill very quickly when we were first together. Because it's just not good so you do. I don't WanNa get okay. I actually got a ton of messages last week about your ovulation cycle and how it can be different for every everybody has a different ovulation cycle every month for everybody. Yeah like this one woman said that like Hershey Oscillates like three days worship period. I was like Oh yeah I was gonna say because I find it and you know how so. Many people accidentally get pregnant when there's only only certain few days to it is kinda crazy how that happens but yeah it was a good conversation we do need to have another mantle. I love the mantles I would love to have mark in eastern on the man all and then have like my one other time. Yeah Yeah Single Guy. Anybody come to mind from our universe 'cause eastern and I are here anyway right like someone that we can snag snatch them up. Uh someone fully single consoles. Okay there you go. There's the next time yeah. Hey coming to see us in San Francisco because you should Marines Memorial theatre in San Francisco ticket to ticketmaster to come February. I that is right around the corner partner said is look at that. You're going to be there in San Francisco the night before the Super Bowl which which features San Francisco. I know. I did notice that. That's going to be crazy that we can noted games out there forty niners fans. You'll be going nuts that we can be right there in the heart part of it. All I know I went to the Super Bowl in San Francisco with amy one year when it was there really. That was the last time I was in San Francisco. Well for the forty niners thing but actually that was like so quick when we did the podcast. The giant. Sorry for the giants This'll be my first time background. I'm spending the weekend candid there so yeah rally time. Well I hope you go and see this show 'cause it's GonNa be fun scrubbing and live and if you're going to stay at the Viceroy Hotel Group. I was just gonNA share that my personal feeling that. They're the best place to stay hotels. zillow's hotels Zeppelin Hotels Zada. They're all part of the Viceroy. Hotel can't go wrong. I was GonNa say I came in this morning. Massmart I said have you guys written any of the truth or dare to their drink questions yet and he was like well. That's a reveal right there that we're GonNa play Truth San Francisco. Oh Shit isn't it. I think that's okay. Okay okay. That's a teaser. Exciting for people hope. I just had a moment. Deny mark reminds me his humor. Jeez rover Hover Kinda Yeah. I don't think I've ever met Robert Hue robber. Have I think so. Yeah he's never been on our podcast not single so there are mantle eh but man what a great one. Yeah that's a compliment. Thank you well ticket. Well there we go get Nicholas. Okay just take Robert. That's much more pleasant for me and then February thirteenth at their auction Elliott sold out. But that's going to be a fun show as well and the reason we ever written the truth a drink questions and by the way we wouldn't tell you in advance anyway because I don't like you guys being able to come up with answers in advance because then you'll never drink you'll find a way to answer it without drinking. It's better if you panic manic better. If we ask you a question they make you panic internally and try to decide if you'll answer it or not so you won't know in advance. You shouldn't have to really think about this because it is a challenge. It was very very difficult last time. It's hard questions at Tanya will not answer very very open with Becca. It's hard to come up with questions that that you will answer but are also very personal and invasive. I'm the one who really get screwed in this thing. Basically think so. Yeah Yeah Sober Sally over there on just like exciting and drunk. Yeah eggplant. My bottom happens happened people literally talking about playing. Well that's the thing is is Tanya might hesitate to answer that question. That's why we came up with the question was the strangest thing you've ever put in your era or that's ever Bandini rear end with Becca. It's a different situation. 'cause we also want to be respectful to you. We don't you want to prey on the spot with stuff that you don't WanNa talk about that so it's a fine line right and to be honest I feel like I'm pretty open about most things except for my dating dating life. So there's a lot of there really isn't more options but that's the thing that everyone ask about so that's why it feels like Oh. I'm so private in close up but really that's the main. That's really the only thing that I hesitate about talking about. Well maybe we'll get the rear end question this time rate. You look forward to it but we also don't want to be drinking the whole time like you got a good balance in Hawaii. I like I gave it a drink. Lambert over those. Those are some good questions labor over this and honestly I would have thought the one about being in Tanya's by what have been like I drink by John you know and by the way we got some good way off the facebook group last time. We'll probably try that again to. It's GonNa be fun that that show if you don't have to. I mean I think it's almost sold out if on that so anyways get those. It's GonNa be a rage fast. Ram The best time. I'm so excited our first scrubbing. Do you want to be a part of history withdrew. Do you want to be a part of history artist. Cherry Pop God. Why are you always make things a what on comfortable? How comfortable are live? Show Cherry pop come pop. Our Cherry Mash should be the slogan for San Francisco. Show by the way I wanted to run these by you. So during the episodes I R- I write down possible titles for the episode based on things that are said throughout the episode so then we can vote as to what you guys like is the actual title. It's kind of funny because people listening to this know what you chose because they saw the title when they downloaded so here we hear your options and I think I have my favorite but I wrote down I comes. I wrote Down Sandy Happiness. I wrote down a diamond in Iraq. I wrote down chosen and wrote down. She doesn't get the ring I think she doesn't get the Ringwood Pique my interest at like she doesn't get the ring but I also like the song so I like a diamond in Iraq because you said it twice now and it's not the actual frazier trying to say but it is not. It is diamond in the rough. No it's a diamond in because diamonds come out of Iraq. Diamonds are made inside of rock. Aren't they not what I'm saying is what you were trying to say was diamond in the rough. That's right no it's not tallet US trying to say diamonds are in Iraq's inner they're built wrong so it's like there's diamonds and then there's rocks Regino the expression of diamond in the rough. I don't know the but I meant what I said. Okay Fair enough then. We'll just leave it at that. Hey I think grace's back this week loop the O- now that I'm not really watching all that besides just like as you're watching those episodes like finish the morning show stopped cheers Grayson. Here is the morning show. I get stressed out when I'm midseason on multiple shows commit season Mazel too. Good okay so we're having a little Justin Chambers Kinda hangover with graves. But we'll see little thing is really strong when it comes back to make us get over it a little bit. Yeah it's gotta be strong like a car in a bar all right. Well Yeah I just you know. I'm a little better. I guess about the whole Justin Chambers thing so now she's going to drink her like vitamin juice out just keeping. It's so we've established that Sohn's e can literally be whatever you want to be any. It's an adjective for anything. We'll take a little bit like I feel like I use when I'm like I'm not great. Use It for you said Taylor keeping it Sohn's e by not. I posted doing the carpet with her boyfriend. Taylor kind of keeping it solo right. So that's a different meaning. Yeah okay let's original`mine it's correct meaning no original though gene right on that note. It's time to go. I'm going to be on time next week. Go where.

"Of all the valuable on earth from deep below the ground none nine is more precious or more targeted than the diamond and among the various classifications of diamonds. There is none that is more precious than the elusive naturally naturally occurring blue diamonds which make up only zero point one percent of all diamonds in existence. Blue diamonds are uncommon. There are type two B classification indicates that their atomic structure lacks the element of nitrogen and thus they can absorb a higher spectrum of light rays if you expose the blue diamond to UV light it will maintain an afterglow for a few seconds shifting from blue to green in a stunning stunning display of light and color. Is it possible that this fantastic glow indicates something more some deeper power inherent in blue diamonds in the nineteen sixties a group of scientists sawn to answer that question by testing the effect of light on the infamous hope diamond. The hope diamond had a history spanning over three hundred years. It's legacy was the series of gruesome tragic deaths suffered by many of its previous owners. The scientists dimmed the lights and expose the hope diamond to U. V.. Light when the experiment was done they turned off all the lights to see how the diamond glowed the hope. Diamond didn't glow blue or even green. It cast a shade of dark murderous read onto the scientists. Some of them were excited. They had just proved that the hope diamond was unique in its chemical makeup but others were concerned the deep menacing crimson that the diamond cast about seemed like some kind of warning or perhaps it was a confirmation that the diamond was truly curse far.

"Your hair long cutting it. You'll get answer. I wanted it to ask you for our girls. Let's not everyone who listens to the show around the world is going to come to a Beverly Hills and get in with you. How long are wait lists like four years or something right yeah. It's crazy right Tammy. Hell I should schedule facelift now. That's why you're Taibbi on fifteen years of yet. It's like I'm not pregnant yet but I'm signing my kids for the center. We should all get what will the kids for anybody the secrets you need to know timmy he's number good tame. He's going to write a book. One day. It's going to be ah but for all the women and men listening around the world. What are the things that they should look for when they're going to find the person they do something. Everyone's always like I I mean. Obviously we know we're not groupon are fine. That's one so so my my biggest hit would be this at a minimum. You WanNa make sure your doctor is board certified in the specialty. You are interested in now. That's in this day is still surprised me people don't even understand what to ask for a lot of doctors might be board certified in. Obgyn board-certified him but that doesn't mean the board certified facial surgery. Sorry you want if you're doing facial. You want someone who's board certified in facial plastic surgery. If you're doing Tummy Tuck or breast augmentation you want someone who's sports certified in body General Plastic Surgery. If you're doing a heart surgery you want someone who's board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery. If you're doing your your knee you want someone board certified in orthopaedic surgery so I'll hear a lot of people say yeah I went to him. He was board certified and you you look into and they were board-certified. Always you ends the did the facelift. It didn't work out right. Do It's gold. It's legal but it doesn't mean so I would tell everyone. Make make sure your doctor is board certified in your specialty. If I'm getting my heart worked on I'm not going to a board certified neurologist to do my heart surgery even though legally they could. I'm going to a board certified. CARDIOTHORACIC surgeon understand what I'm saying yeah so that would be that's at least a baseline. You know that that doctor is at least has had a baseline share training and passing the appropriate exams. It doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be the best added but at least you know they've had a pass a certain amount of exams in a certain amount of training and beyond that you know someone with a good reputation who who if ideally you know the people who went to that person got good results but the first thing I would do is make sure the board certified in the specialty that you are looking at injectables right. I would do for injectable thing. Is these spas. No you know here's here's what I would say. The thing about injectables are are that in general people do real well with them. However the complications that can occur from injectables tables can be more drastic more devastating and more dangerous than even surgical complications can be and the main complications that can occur if the filler is injected into an artery. It's called then becomes what's called an embolism that filler travel into the brain and causes stroke it could travel into the eye cause blindness could travel into an artery that feeds a certain areas skin and caused loss to that area of skin so in town now there are stories and real people 'cause. I know because they've called my odyssey by can help who've gone blind from filler who lost their nose from filler who have lost areas of their skin. It's it can be extremely devastating results if you if it's not done with significant knowledge of the the facial anatomy so for me. I'm only letting a facial plastic surgeon who understands well. The nerves blood vessels arteries are that's only person in my face. You know I'm not here to throw anybody under the bus and I'm sure you know I. I'm just telling that's WHO's injecting me. Someone who knows where those vessels are to avoid because all the complications nations that I have heard about have all been completely preventable had the the offending anatomy had not been jeopardized and it was just put in the wrong place. You know what I mean and so those things are very unlikely to happen by somebody who really has an understanding of the anatomy and as is a facial surgeon. We're in there every day. I know exactly what it was hard because I'm looking at them. I'm operating on them. I see them under the skin and so so for me. I'm having someone with with that kind of expertise do my junction. Who's GONNA do your face. Lift is a good question. It's going in there himself. I've got a few people in mind years close. Dr Diamond has an amazing instagram who love this kind of stuff and you're interested and curious. Are you just WanNa see him like do the sculpting Walk Shelf of Italy magic. It's magical you can follow him at Dr Jason in diamond. It's the diamond facial institute. If you WANNA go online if you're interested and you sent him messages and they always respond and it's just awesome to watch you you work and I my favorite thing like I said when you you're like well. I got to try it myself and then you're like here and I was like Oh my God I go to fight. The battle seems aggressive but uh we thank you for my new face. It's changed my life and I can't wait to come and see you soon good to see you tammy and I guess that's the end and we'll see next Tuesday..

I can't believe you came to our show after I just want to like I'm going to start at get you a man number one both number one formal formal apology on what happened on Lady TV from Kelsey. Oh you mean when you're hitting on time's up kelty remember that don't feel oh bad because it happens to you all the time you notice. I don't notice like I just for me. It's all business but Tammy and the girls. We'll tell me like things happen but I don't really pay much now where you hot growing up. I know he's a professional but my question question is okay. Were you always this hot no question and here's why we uh-huh that I went to high school with Corey Hueco where he was a seven. no-one dated him in high school junior high. No one wants to go to prompt this guy he went on. He went to Dr Dr School. He became a chiropractor now look at his facebook with his wife and his family and I was like to go to medical school or whatever anyway I was like. You're hotter than I thought. You turned out great where you like that well. I think that they say the MD decreases. You're standing on the I wanted to ten scale like three points. I think that was the situation. Also you're just like too nice to Scott like the kind of Dorky like Nice awesome personality. She's calling your Smart Smart Dorky. I trust you to open up my face yeah. You're having a hot dish compliment. I'll take this thing no you don't look back to your diamond and think he could have been out popping bottles at the club. Is You too hung over to doc my face and that was not me but no I didn't have my first girlfriend till probably seventeen eighteen and it was and it it was sort of like somebody is settled for listening I could I could the guy couldn't get the girlfriend that I really wanted you know and that didn't can happen till late twenties. Now you could offer listen. We're going to talk about your work but I I just WanNa talk about your social media. So one of the things that like I love about you is that was also nauseating. is you're so talented. You're so good you're successful and then your family is so cute. I know you're like Oh. We're just tahoe making s'mores de my favorite thing to do is spend time with the kids and then we talk about this all the time. It's really hard to balance the work kids but excuse me I feel very fortunate that I realized sized some time ago. Maybe six years ago driving home from work. I realized how fast it's already gone so I feel very lucky that I've realized that like I'm not going to be someone who looks back when the kids are out to college like where did all go. I missed it all I. I may admit like I didn't pay attention to the first three or four years but there's my older kid was five and the younger one was three or something like that or two. I realized one day like holy crap this time and I made that decision at that time. I remember driving home going I'm going to I'm going to try every single day to do everything with them and I. I'm almost over the tie with like I don't want to miss anything. Even practices like I'll even we'll even shut down early just so I can go to a practice not even never mind the game because I realized I it'll be so sad to me when they're gone and if I've missed it all just want to kill myself it means you have an amazing wife because if you are my husband and I'd be like get back into that Jackson faces we I need their money. Why says the doctor to doctor kind of a doctor she so she's got to board certifications pediatrics and internal medicine but she hasn't practice those in probably twelve or fifteen years. She started doing cosmetic lasers in the office eleven or twelve years. She's become like a laser as our expert so most people have nurses doing lasers and things like that as but she's a board certified doctor doing them so so it's the highest level yeah yeah we just had a guest on that was talking about the magic of lasers. I'm a believer I I wasn't. I need a laser yeah. They're grabbing. I do myself so great. I mean for the right person. Yeah Yeah like yeah. I guess you know okay. Let's continue to talk about why apple while you're actually here Dr Diamond. How do you feel about the results of my face look awesome. I can't believe it's actually it's actually better than I expected a little chubby like Chubby but like a little bloated loaded right now because the fourth of July of an eating gluten but like when I really eat properly it snatches right out. It looks so good. Honestly it's better than I expected it to be. especially given the damage damage we were dealing with. This is done too many so I don know. I'll be honest now that is we're we're talking about on our part not the TV so I did. I I did the bow talks where they put the Botox on our thing to like pulling the beyond the and then I did the cool sculpting then I did the cable then I went to Dr Diamond. He was like nope say her neck was like six yeah. He's like you have the neck of six. It's definitely yeah definitely up exactly. Did you do yeah so we did. You remember I do remember is did the same exact procedure today on. Actually I do a lot of these years. I probably how long goes at two months that Christmas I mean since I've probably fifty of them. I mean eh do up it up but I remember years very well. Of course as she called the inappropriateness of her. You Know Debbie shorter laughing. She remembers partially also we filmed it for television which is like a little different than your yeah yeah and we do some of that but I just how could I forget you. Forget earlier. We did the minimally invasive necklace. This is an it's a very specialized necklace procedure that we have developed for this type of purpose. It's not something you can read about or Google because it's not assume no one will understand that means. It's not like looking up facelift or Shinhan plant or Ryan Plassey. This is my method of of tightening up the mess very minimally invasive way and so that's what we did and and and it actually worked out perfect for you yeah all I have is. I have two little scars by ears. See the one little little direly right we are looking to laser that at some point right so oh that was the minimally invasive but we also did facial sculpting as well they component and that was my signature method of contouring sculpting face and it's the and so we did that that is well and I. I forgot about that but that's what we do that too. I remember when you first came. I I came Dr Diamond said well. You know you'd be a great candidate for a Chin implant because because I have like a little bit of a receding Chin but we didn't have time. It was about to be award season yeah. I was like kind of scared to be honest. Now I would go full into it because I understand the importance of Chin but if you've never done anything to your Chin before you're like. I don't want to Chin Weird do you. Do you still do a lot of implants with the filler. Now I do a lot official sculpting. I do a Lotta Chin projection with facial sculpting and I do a lot with facial implants as well. It just depends on what somebody's goals. Motivations are for somebody who wants the best result. That's going to be permanent implant right. If for someone who's like I need to look good tonight or tomorrow then spatial sculpting right. I have a question so my grandmother had had a face lift your time it was considered pretty young like in her sixties but she had a whole theory on doing younger is. I what you should be doing because now now. I feel people are doing face-lifts young. They are people are the average age of a facelift patient. I'd say when I started in roughly two thousand the average age of face of patients. That's probably close to sixty. I would say now twenty years later. The average age is probably around fifty meaning a lot of people younger than that showcased so it's gone now probably ten years. The average with a lot of people are early forties. Mid Forties and people always ask me. What's the right age. I my answer is the right age to do. Do It is when you whatever your issue is bothers you enough. That's really affecting your self confidence desks right to do it and you made a comment that I don't do face lifts under forty sorry I actually have done a number of them as young as thirty for some big weight loss and some in their mid thirties so it just depends on the person but it's when you're issue bothers you if a face lift is the only appropriate fixed then then that's the time to do it when you're when you can't look in the mirror anymore without being aware of the issues that bother you so where to take someone's face off and put it back on. You know it's taken off like a man they do. They'll say do the muscles in the face. It depends what procedure we're doing got hard of a face of this lifting the skin up tightening muscles and the muscles. Sol's we've had them. Sometimes we cut them the analogy. I think that's most accurate is more visual but I'll show you and you can describe it or I'll try and describe grab it but it's kind of like if your sock is snug down like this and I'm wearing long socks. That's kind of like what an aging underlying muscle is and what we do. Is We just kind of do that. I'm snuggling it up now. That's what we do with the muscles so the muscle's kind of sit here we snug them up like that and there's oops and it will go to where it wants to to go and then you know you've got the right tension on it and that's what we do so we're sort of these high and then we tied up there. We'll cut off so whatever we need is different techniques for different. The people in different amounts to know that you can move muscles around yeah. I always thought of facelift stance. The skin is the old school method that's how IOS simple little old school method but the problem with that is they don't last as long and they can give some pretty unnatural..
