There was eleven missed calls by referee. Eleven at lot. And you know i try. I try as hard as i can not be completely biased. When i'm watching this stuff in. I mean i know a buys all going to see things to the benefit of the buccaneers but rarely is it us that get away with the penalties out of these eleven missed calls. Only only one of them was a buccaneers. Got away with that.

Let's go glass half full what did you see this weekend that had you excited and brimming with optimism where do we start so much Scott the forty niners because I always leave things are more impressive when prior to the game it's not supposed to look that way so we a significant professional money come in on Carolina so it makes the win even more impressive to me personally because I just feel like they exceeded expectation and I managed and I think we both did here right to avoid this game now we dead value is certainly on Carolina like numbers wise right when you look at the number got six six and a half earlier in the week like Mason Rudolph was catching that same number in his first start ever on the road so value is I get it but I think we talked Thursday which is like a horrific matchup right Carolina doesn't have left tackle Bosa continues to like full-blown just eat out there I think he's got the highest pressure rate he's on pace to set the highest pressure rate for any rookie in NFL history right now kyle kind of talked about this the one above it average pass defense he played he struggled against earlier in the season which was Jacksonville the forty niners would obviously be even tougher than that he was the most inaccurate quarterback in terms of completion percentage expectation of sixteen percent below expectations the worst so far this week and we saw that at there wasn't very good can't stop the run we talked about that Cohen Short once he went out for the season and there was a big check mark there offensively from what I'm what I'm seeing from the forty niners is is Kyle Shanahan is just ahead of his time with what he's doing even though it's very basic right it's I think he's in this concerts jokingly kind of the real inventor of the exotic smashmouth right the ball is just like spread around there's all these interchangeable parts wide receivers are getting handoffs but like at its core it's very simple offense and I think the scary part here todd is like you look or seven and no right now in the NFC but they're without their left tackle there without the right tackle there without their versatile full-back call us check and I think I could wrong about this and it's probably not worth the money was paid but I feel like Jimmy G. has another gear that we haven't seen yet either which makes this forty-nine seem really scary well and I think some of that's got to be by design if you're Kyle Shanahan why reveal all your cards when you don't have to right now and then there's no doubt that Jimmy G. High profile passing attack is somewhere there I imagine as they can can you to build chemistry with Emmanuel Sanders able to get into the end zone and his forty niners debut it makes his team even scarier and I know pain we don't talk a lot about futures here because guys don't have access turn prices and you Never WanNa do hyperbole but right now when you look at the NFC or the forty niners the team to beat the more complete package outside of experience levels than the New Orleans saints tough to you obviously love with the saints are doing especially defensively that front seven has really taken another step I do feel like whoever gets home field advantage because the saints home field advantage so massive you'd give the you'd leaned that way with ever team had home field advantage certainly the games get a little bit tougher here in the next few weeks off for the forty niners so we'll see what they're made of but man ah X. still kind of leaned saints especially if they were the team that got home field advantage going to be interesting NFC playoff picture definitely a number of teams on their best day more than capable of putting up crooked numbers and more importantly getting stops on the defensive side but aside from the forty niners pain or are there any other teams and our individual performances that really stood out to you Daniel Jones right if you're a giants fan you have to pretty encouraged in whether you could've met seventeen or six I mean that's it's kind of a relevant at this point you know and I liked I saw accuracy wise again delivered a completion percentage five and a half percent greater than expectations four touchdowns no picks and I think that that last part there with the no picks is really impressive when you look at how aggressive he was six most aggressive quarterback in week eight so far obviously two games tonight but of all the quarterbacks that have played so far six most aggressive and the other thing is when you look at how he's doing it right now in general young quarterback he's been pressured a shit ton right forty six percent of its drawbacks pressured on the season most in the NFL among qualifying quarterbacks and he's this young young he hasn't flinched yet so I I really like I think you have to be happy for your giants fan of what the future could be with Daniel Jones so fantastic performance although in a loss did did get back door there so I know a lot of giants backers were happy that was the sharp side again closed five and a half some places so Daniel Jones got the pros money and look good again that he did one ill advised throw cost him dearly early in the game came back up the fumble yeah it was the fumble that probably could have gone I mean you it's a turnover no matter how you slice it but interception fumble just not sure he's doing it to throw but for anybody to watch that game was interesting there was a bad penalty at the tail end of the first half where the giants allegedly rough the ultimate leads the three for the lions and changed the dynamic a little bit in that context wonder if the giants would have actually had a chance to win that game outright if things had played differently but for alliance do nothing but bad luck I guess they wrote a break or two in that extra appointments made things a little wonky to some of the decision downward spiral but a good performance from Daniel Jones you mentioned his second career game over three hundred yards four touchdowns then a nice job against a depleted lions secondary with the good I want to add one other into it of course it was in a losing effort Mike Evans yet again puts up Gargantuan numbers eleven catches hundred ninety eight yards and two touchdowns but one of those things that I'm not quite sure why the bucks don't look for Evans and crunch time when he was the stat stuffer all game long and the titans apparently had no answer in their secondary starting to get doubled a little bit dried movement of the slot to get them open and got doubled again so you know he had forty four percent of the buccaneers area are gesture die but obviously not enough however no you want to praise him and you probably didn't turn on the game quick enough but he did have the bad drop on the opening drive in the end zone the bucks were forced to settle for three instead of seven I did I couldn't dedicate enough time to it I'm GonNa go back and actually watch today it's one of those games that was really intriguing to me because guys that uh yeah I work with love the charger so much and they with the chargers plus four and a half and plus four I didn't see it so when there's games that's where my guys like adamant that this is the side and I don't see it myself on my I gotTa really pay close attention to this and because I have add I can't do that with like watching games so two one on and watch today but as I'm like tracking the play by play and now that I'm like looking "Want to ask you about a couple of schools that are ranked high and I know you've been to What's your what's your gauge which level of <hes> of expectation for L._S._U.? I think they should be one of the five best teams in the country. If you look at now that they don't have a perfect you know depth chart right now. They are big question marks on the offensive line at least at right tackle but I think the way Joe Borough finished I I think the arrival of Joe Brady from the saints as a passing and coordinator and the adjustments they've made their I think that fits everything well they should be you know really good even though they lose devon white who was a great player in the middle of the defense <hes> they're really talented in the secondary and I think they're pretty deep upfront upfront. <hes> they get caleb on chase on back. He was a player that the guys inside that program raved about until he got hurt last year. I think this is a a team that you know when I look at it. I think there's there's two games that I think will be real struggles for them. They have a game early on at Texas. Which is which is on the road and Tom? Herman has played exceedingly well. He's got his way exceeding well in that kind of environment where it's a heavyweight opponent and everything's right that seems like they are able to to rise up and play while the other one certainly is Alabama for a variety of reasons. They do not match up well I. I think I think quite honestly that L._S._U.. NFL Draft Rumors: Picks for the Raiders, Jets, and Giants
"Now. Let's get into the raiders because they are very very interesting. They've sent everybody away. It's like, it's like survivor. There's two guys on an island. You got Mayock. You got Gruden no one else is around anywhere near the organization right now. And I read something that they said for fear that you know, they're big plan. Could get thrown to the wolves. What what possibly could this dynamic huge groundbreaking attempt. Be for the Oakland Raiders got insane. As we heard everyone connected to them literally Quinton Williams Devon why at Oliver and now. The most recent name is to Wayne Haskins. Now, I know a lot of raiders spans laugh at thought of that. But this is where it gets really interesting division in Oakland right now is that there are coaches there that really liked main Haskins. They're also coaches there that are not sold their car is the future. So is Oakland sitting there four knowing that Wayne Haskins might fall into their lap or hoping he falls into their lap. There's a lot of rumors about that right now. Or are they trying to play someone to train up with the jets to Oakland gift Quinton Williams? That's kind of where I'm weaning right now. I do think they want the jets to get out of that pick in fear that if they don't the general take when Williams and that's been there guy all along. This is a team that needs stars on the defensive line because they traded Khalil Mack. They don't have any. I know they use a lot of picks Matt area last year. I think Mary's hers could be an okay player. PJ hall hasn't shown anything yet right now. So Oakland all options are on the table for them right now. And it's very very interesting. All right. Now going in the first round then in mel's two point oh mock draft. So we have four in the two point oh mock draft with Daniel Jones from Duke rounding out of the last pick of the draft to the patriots in the first round of thirty two. There are only three quarterbacks now in the first round, according to mel's latest mock. And obviously a retirement might be a big reason why and the quarterbacks have changed as well. Right. As far as where they're they're going. Well, Cuyler he still has Tyler going number one derozan. Well in his last draft Cuyler going number thirteen to the dolphins. So now and this draft he hasn't going number one. He had. Dwayne Haskins going number six at a giant Kyle Murray. Going number thirteen to the to the dolphins. Drew lock going fifteen to the Redskins and Daniel Jones going thirty two to the patriots. So as you mentioned Daniel Jones now out of the first round, according to the latest mock draft by Mel kiper, just three quarterbacks Murray number one. The main says Dwayne Haskins at number six, and you start to hear reports that the giants may go defense was six and then was seventeen go quarterback. But right now twain Haskins at six and then drew lock sitting there at number thirteen for the dolphins. Does the only three quarterbacks in this latest first round. Yeah. Going to be very interesting because we know what the giants listen one thing. Dave Gettleman has made very clear he does not feel beholden to tell us his plan. And so I don't feel overly beholden to believe. A lot of what we're hearing coming out of the giants can't because if you've got a guy who's basic messages trust me, I got this. Well, then we understand he doesn't feel like he has to tell us the truth. So as we hear these things. Coming out. We also understand this time of year is about deception to an extent it's trying to manipulate the draft order trying to manipulate the opinions of certain players. So that you can try and put yourself in the best position to get the guys you ultimately want. So it makes it difficult to try and read the tea leaves it is although I have to say on cattlemans behalf. He said all of last spring saquon Barkley is a generational talent with the second overall pick. And that's where he went. Look, I think we all agreed. There has to be a quarterback in the giants future. So depending on your draft grades for your quarterbacks you could take one of those at six and then a quarterback at seventeen it all depends again on your on your draft great. If twain Haskins is highest on the board and draft grades. You don't pass that up. If you have a Dwayne Haskins drew lock. And whatever other quarterback equal in grades. You know, maybe use that seventeen pick baby can trade it up somehow to get one of those guys as I said, this always comes down to grades. Do. You have a choice amongst grades. Are you close enough in quarterbacks where if you don't get one you try and get the other? But we'll see we'll see, you know, one of the biggest changes in from the last two this for Mel was they had the patriots taken Daniel Jones a quarterback, and this one I serve Smith junior the tight end from Alabama going, and that would not be shocking at all you have really three out of the top tight end Hopkinson the kid from Iowa teammate, Noah Fant, and then Smith junior all three likely to go in the first round a three first round tight end to on the same team come on. And what would that tell you as we saw? The patriots jump into the first round and take a running back and Sony Michelle at the end of that. And now to see in the next year three tight ends going. We've talked about this. However, you want to split it. Last year were Quinton Nelson. Went in the top ten in the draft as an offensive guard. We saw roquan Smith going the top ten as a middle linebacker. The middle of the field is worthy. NFL is being built right now. And other teams are starting to catch up to what the patriots have done for years. The way that we've seen teams export that specific area and three tight ends in the first round would hammer that home not denying that. They are guys that are certainly probably more talented than usual tight end groups. We're used to seeing but it's also about value. It's why you see running back taking it to overall by the giants last year. I mean, the other thing is I think they're more interior linemen in this first round then quarterbacks right? Like, a not tackles guards and centers. There are more of those according to males latest mock than there are actual quarterbacks being taken which would be very unusual. So the top five in this new draft that Mel kiper put out is Kylie Murray. Number one of the cardinals Nick both the D N number two to the forty Niners. Number three. Josh Allen the outside backing backer pass rusher going to the jet number four Cornyn Williams. To the raiders and number five guy making a pretty big jump. Devon white going to Tampa Bay at five in the last mock draft he was number eleven to the Bengals now in mel's draft. He is sitting at number five number six twain Haskins seven Joon Taylor. The offense attack from Florida going to Jacksonville sweat, the D N going to the lions at eight Sean, Gary the D N going into the bills from Michigan and TJ Hopkinson. The tight end going to the Broncos at number ten. Here's here's what I wanted to talk to Mel about and one of the issues that I have laid on me big fella with with this draft comes, you know, some some point and one of them is there are few prospects in new first round projection who are making their debuts because of their combine performances. There are four guys who have jumped into mel's first round who weren't out there before again based on the combine combine performances. I don't understand that. I don't I don't understand that. If you wanna say. You looked at the combine to go back and look at tape of them. But to say, they're combine performance jumped them up that doesn't compute to me. Well, I think that's I think that's the assumption though, is because of their performance you went back and look and that. That's fair. That's why I want to ask them. How did this? Make you go back and study them more. Because if you're just basing things off the combine I got a real issue with that. Yeah. I I don't think you would do that or teams. But at the same time, you look at the positions of the majority of the players that would be involved in that. And I think this could be true for teams as well. It's interior offense. It is right. Three interior offensive linemen Terry McLaren the wide receiver, but when it comes to interior offensive lineman. You wanna talk about an area where the scouting grossly lags behind to actually great and overall draft. It's a difficult area for a lot of people to see and understand because you don't have the benefit of a lot of stats. You don't have the benefit of even the combine members necessarily always translating to production. So when those guys go and they paying and they flag in the model somewhere for what they do at the combine. And then you go back and spend some more time looking at a guy like Lindstrom who wasn't going to be a big name. He wasn't like, you know, Gary bradberry from North Carolina State won the Remington award this year. Like that guy was a stud Boston College was a middling. Okay. ACC team this year. So Lindstrom wasn't getting the credit. He deserved even being as good as he is. So you go back now, and even these NFL teams, maybe we're late to the party on some of these guys all of a sudden start giving them an extra. That's why I want to ask I just wanna make sure with Mel that because I'm just reading from the combine performance, and again, let's put a name. To those you mentioned McLaren the wide receiver who is one of the others. Chris Lynch reminder, you just mentioned from Boston College now. Number twenty one to Seattle Eric McCoy interior linemen going number twenty two to Baltimore. Right and the Garrett bradberry. The Senator from North Carolina State who is you mentioned one the Remington award is the best center in the country number thirty one to the LA Rams where they have an aging center, and John John Sullivan. And that was that was one of the things have been saying for the Rams the last couple of years that dynasties been built on the interior. If you land a guy like that good, Lord or you winning out it is. So we'll see how that plays out. Now, the one thing that I find interesting he he has drew lock the third quarterback Mel dozen his latest mock going thirteen in Miami. I'm telling you don't take out Denver at ten in Cincinnati of eleven in play for quarterbacks. I mean. Yeah. Denver made the play for Joe flacco. But John Elway has messed this up a couple of times with all due respect. I mean, that's just outside of getting Peyton Manning. He has not figured out the quarterback spot there at ten they might be in play for quarterback. And you have Andy Dalton with his situation with the Bengals and his contract situation. I, you know, I think that there's a really good chance that they could be in play with a quarterback there, by the way, by the way, Mel kiper Jr's mock draft not the biggest item related to the draft this week. Florida vs. Missouri football: Predictions
"Night. LSU defense can keep this game. Interesting at least four three three and a half quarters. The fact that Dave Aranda has two three guys that he knows he's confident in can cover in Maine demand situations will allow him to do some different things if he wants extra defenders on the back end to help take away some of the easier throws if he wants to bring some guys up and try to pressure he'll be able to do that. Now, it's going to hurt not having Devon white in the run game from physicality the leadership standpoint. But he's pretty good in coverage as well. He's a three down linebacker. So even if they go nickel dime. He's a guy. That's on the field. All the time. I think up front physically the LSU defense has to keep the game. Interesting as well. Finding pressure will be key in how many guys does Dave Aranda half to bring define that pressure.
