A highlight from Ethereum Spot ETF: Bullish Or Nothingburger?

"Oh, welcome to the morning. Ow! My foot. Welcome to the morning stream, everybody. We're going to discover some crypto news today. It is September 7th. It's 11 .31 a .m. Eastern Standard Time. 8 .30 for the West Coast, folks. They're still waking up. They're still getting sleep out their eyes. Is it sleep or sleet? I remember I used to think it was sleet out your eyes. Sleet. What a weird name, right? I don't know. I never heard sleet out your eyes. Eye boogers? What do you call eye boogers? Eye boogers is what I usually say. Chat, let us know. Guys, make sure you're hitting that like today. We got some huge news with Van Eck talking about the ETH ETF, also Ripple Labs. We got Ripple Labs CTO revealing some secret XRP news, but we're going to try to guess because someone put out a list of like, hey, I bet you're going to do four or five of these things. He said, we're definitely doing two of them. So we're going to look at that list and maybe try to make some XRP predictions. It'll be pretty cool. We got the China ban, some Cardano news, and Reddit NFL stuff. Where are the NFL fans at? What's your team, Tim? I don't have an NFL team. I love the NFL. I grew up in Tampa, so you could maybe say the Bucks, but I don't really like the Bucks either. I don't know. I always have a team I choose. Right now, I really like more recent years what Detroit is doing. So I'm kind of a lion's fan. What is it? Barry Sanders? I was a Barry Sanders fan. Barry Sanders is a goat. I was but no, I love the coach at Detroit right now. If you guys like Detroit Lions, let him know in chat. Tim, do you know how much a pirate pays to get his ear pierced? I feel like that's an obvious answer that it's not coming to the tip of my brain right now. So go ahead and tell me the punchline. It's a buccaneer. Oh my God. There we go. That's good one. You hated it, didn't you? I'm sorry. All right, let's just get to the crypto news, folks. All right, CoinGecko, what is going on, everybody? We are down a little bit, but not too much. Let's hit that refresh. I lied. We're up, baby. We're moving up. We're up 0 .8%. It looks like market cap still largely coming in at 1 .08 trillion. 24 -hour volume is down slightly, $31 billion. Bitcoin dominance not really moved that much. Looks like it's actually down 0 .2 % and gas coming in at 27 Gwei. All right, let's look at the markets. We have Bitcoin up half of 1 % and Ethereum up only 0 .3%. Really not exciting news off that ETF, so the markets haven't reacted that strongly. BNB up 0 .4%, XRP up 0 .4%. Keep scrolling though, we don't really see too much stuff. I mean, just to get into the single digits, you got to get out of the top 10, go all the way down to Tron. Tron is up 1 .6. Very, very boring. So let's look at the exciting charts here. This is the biggest gainers and the biggest losers of the day. When you say biggest loser of the day, don't say DZ or don't say DZ's portfolio, although it might be, we're going to find out. The biggest gainer is Render. Render is up 6%. Stellar. Stellar was down and beaten down hard yesterday. I thought Stellar was down earlier today, so it's made a little turn out. Yeah, let's click on that chart. We'll see once we click on that seven -day, you can kind of see where we went from a negative into positive. Yeah, so you can see right there at one point, this is about 24 hours ago right around here. So yeah, at one point, yeah, it was just down and down heavy, but now since we kind of capitulated from that bottom, it's looking a little bit better. It is up, let's click on it one more time, was it 4 .2%, Iota up 4 .1%, Casper continuing to leave the station without DZ on board. Casper, please turn around, hit the brakes, do a U -turn, crash into a ditch, do something, let me pump up a bag, let me fill up a bag of Casper. We have Maker up 3 .4%, Algorand up 2 .6%, so I know AJ's excited about that one. Let's look at the biggest losers, though, the biggest losers of the day in the top 100 crypto market cap here. We have number one, not too much, folks, it's only down 1 .5%, that is nothing for crypto, especially with a gaming slash gambling token like RollBit, followed by Shiba Inu down 0 .7%. But then the graph, the graph is, you know, firmly under a dime, now coming in at $0 .08. I think, you know, it touched around a nickel, even a little bit lower at one point, let's just see, not even that long ago. Get out of here, yeah, yeah, yeah, cookies, something, yeah, whatever, I like them. All right, let's click the one year. Yeah, we got close to a nickel, I think it went below a nickel on some exchanges. But when you look at the 30 -day, it's looking down, but maybe find a little bit of support at this 8 .5%, so it looks like it touched it right there, touched it right there, and still kind of hanging out above it. Do you like the graph? No, I mean, I don't own any of it, so. How do you feel about the graph of the graph right here? I prefer charts to graphs for a trading view, but, you know, it's not worthless to see the charts or the graphs on, was that Core Market Cap or was that Gecko? Oh, this is Gecko. Yeah, they're not worthless, I just, it's easier to see a chart, so. Okay, okay, so you're more of a chart guy, not a graph guy, so you like Magellan, not, I don't know, I don't know my, I don't know where you're going with that one, yeah. I don't know, some sort of worldwide maritime chart person, I mean, Drew, Drew probably knows. Oh, God, they weren't escaping me. Can you look at the stars and know where you're going? Absolutely, that's what they did for thousands of years. It was like the North Star, that's about the extent of my knowledge. Listen, the fact that, do you just know that people were constantly going back and forth from Europe to different places in the United States in a time where all they had was the stars and they kept going at the same place over and over again, those stars worked pretty good. All right, all right, well, you know who's the star of 2021? Some say it was Ethereum. Ethereum, you know, blew up, had huge, huge gains, outsized relative to Bitcoin, but then when it fell, also fell outsized relative to Bitcoin. Well, it looks like ETH is trying to get another ETF on the board here. You know, first, got a lot of companies that started with Bitcoin, and now we have VanEck officially starting the in the coming days. The race for the spot ETF has officially begun after the Chicago board options exchange will ultimately start the clock for an SEC decision. Let's see, they filed these to be listed on CBOE's BZX exchange as the Chicago board options exchange and a pair of tweets. Looks like as opposed to the previously submitted filings, this finally means that the countdown is now in motion. The race is on saying, guys, this is a long, long deadline from now. We're not talking about next month. We're not talking about next week. Talking about March of next year. 3 -2 -3, 3 -2 -3 -2 -4. No, no, 5 -2 -3 -2 -4 there. Keep scrolling, keep scrolling. ARK Invest and 21Shares teamed up to file the S1 of the SEC on the 6th, although VanEck's filing dates back to July of 2021. They were trying to do this years and years ago, but now maybe the SEC might take it seriously. On the 17th, SEC reportedly singled its intention to Ethereum approve futures products while several firms including Grayscale and BlackRock are currently fighting to get the Spot Bitcoin. So we have ETH futures, Spot Bitcoin, and now we have Spot ETF in the process right now. Alright, so what is going to happen though? Some people are saying approval is inevitable. You know what's also inevitable? The fact that you're going to hit the like button in the next three seconds. Hurry, hurry, I'm starting to count down three. You only have two seconds to move the mouse, grab it one. You feel that? Oh my God, it's just a huge wave of relief and awesomeness just crashed over your body. Alright, let's talk about this approval though. Approval is inevitable. SEC Insider primes crypto market for a $15 trillion Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP price ETF game changer. These major cryptocurrencies could be headed into one of their biggest ever months. One crypto watcher has said it's going to be crazy. He said it's going to be like a movie, man. Last night was a movie. Now former SEC chair Jay Clayton has said eventual approval of a Spot ETF is inevitable following the SEC punting a decision on the ETF filings from the managers who looked after a combined $15 trillion until October. Looks like he's maybe looking at the fact that they punted the ball. They didn't go for it on fourth down. That's for you, football fan. Maybe because they didn't say no, and they said, I'm going to kick the can down the road. Instead of saying no, he's saying a yes is inevitable. But the signaling of the kicking of the can down the road. But it's not all roses. It's not all balloons and clown faces for Ethereum. There was a hack in this summer reporting. This is the largest fishing hack in history for Ethereum at least. It looks like this crypto whale lost $24 million in staked Ethereum to a fishing attack. Looks like they were transferred into the fully automatic exchange fixed float. Never heard of it. Here we have Joaquin, Joaquin dancing down the stairs. Cryptocurrency whale has fallen victim to a massive fishing attack, losing millions in staked Ether on the liquid staking provider Rocket Pool.

July Of 2021 Jay Clayton 4 .2% Joaquin TIM 8 .5% $0 .08 Europe Two Seconds Barry Sanders Next Week September 7Th Rocket Pool TWO $15 Trillion Drew 1 .08 Trillion 4 .1% $31 Billion 0 .4%

NFL season kicks off with Super Bowl champion Chiefs hosting Lions; Rodgers on MNF

"Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will kick off the 2023 season against the upstart Detroit Lions in a matchup of high powered offenses. Coming off their second championship in four seasons, the chiefs will host the Lions on September 7th on Thursday Night Football. The Lions finished 9 and 8 last season after a one in 6 start and knocked Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers out of the playoffs with a 2016 victory at Lambeau Field in the final regular season game. Meanwhile, Rogers will make his New York Jets debut on Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. I'm geffen cool bar.

"People. All right. I'm going to hit Amazon dot Detroit Lions podcast dot com anytime you go to Amazon to buy anything use that Amazon Detroit Lions podcast dot com. They give us a kickback. Also fanatics that Detroit Lions podcast dot com. It's not just lions, goods. It's every sport college and pro. Jerseys, hats, you name it, it's all the official licensed real deal fanatics at Detroit Lions podcast dot com, using that. They support us. Give us a little chunk of the profit on that and never cost you any more to use either one of those. So we appreciate everyone who does that. All right, I'm going to now tie this together. Again, this all came up at 6, so some of this is kind of off the cuff and flying by the seat of my pants a little on this, but there's a conversation out there and we touched on it as we named each of these folks. There's a need to hire an experienced coach. That's what everyone's talk about. What do you do with if we don't have an experienced coach if you have James urban offensive coordinator and Aaron Glenn as your defensive coordinator and dean Campbell is really not coach, she was 7, 7 and 5 and 7 with the Miami and Holmes, he doesn't know nobody knows what they're doing. Absolutely, right? That is a concern. But I will tell you, I'm going to argue against experience a moment here, which is I'm just doing this not because I'm going to be contrarian. I'm going to give you a wider field of view to make your own decisions from. So that's why I'm doing this. Does that investment in the past hurt you with what the lions are trying to bring here? And here's what I'm talking about. Say we brought in Marvin Lewis. How open is he going to be to a collaborative effort? My man, my guy, wade Phillips. We talked about him early. I love him to death. How collaborative is he really going to be? How good of a fit is he going to be in a group of folks that everything is based on working together and pushing the organization forward and sharing control and sharing the knowledge amongst a bunch of each other to make those best decisions. I don't feel like that's a place where wade Phillips are Marvin Lewis is going to thrive. So again, I'm not arguing against experience, but people that have a tree or a way, that may actually really be working against them in what they're looking to do here. They're trying to create and this is where I saw it earlier. I think it was Lions rumble that said it, I want to give them credit if it is. I'm sorry if I messed this up. They said, I'm absolutely tired. We tried the patriot way. Now we're going to do the saints way. This, for once, looks like the lion's way. This is new. It's all new. This is their way. And I'm going to tie it back now in case you will go for it. You can go you can run all over it after this. There was something that happened at Ford. And it's something that saved Ford after World War II. Hank the deuce was in charge, Henry Ford the second. We're getting really in the history today. Oh yeah, I love the auto industry. I love it. I absolutely loved my time working in the industry. I would go back if I could. Either way, Hank the deuce was in charge of Ford and things weren't going great. He brought in a set of people. They were known as the whiz kids. Kids today may not know who Robert McNamara was. He's a pretty important guy. And he wound up in the U.S. government in very important places. But there's a group of I think it was ten guys and they were known as the Wiz kids. And they pushed the design. They really were the seeds of the 50s and 60s for the success of four. They saved the company and changed and changed the way cars were made. And changed the way that manufacturing was done. And they were guys that one was like a statistician, right? They weren't car guys. None of them were car guys, but they absolutely rethought the way to do manufacturing, the way to do design, the way to run a car company and changed Ford Motor Company. Now, this is really a convenient fit because it's Ford. And you got Hank the dukes and all that. But now here you are with a football team that appears to be following that whiz kids model. And I'll tell you, I had a great book. It got stolen. I looked at Amazon to find it. I can't find the original name. There's one called whiz kids, but it's crazy expensive. I don't think that was the one. But if anybody finds it, please email me or hit me through the contact form on the website or whatever. It's about the Wiz kids, and it was one of the best books I've ever read on business and rethinking business and reinventing the way you do things. It's absolutely fabulous. I honestly believe that Sheila is thinking about the experience, the history of the company, and the success of the company. And what they've done to turn the company around historically when things were bad, and boy, were they bad here. And this just kind of absolutely fits right in that mold. It's something completely different. But something we saw almost a century ago. Pretty interesting, pretty interesting to me. There you go. How's that? It's a history. You wanted history. I was going to say, I was going to say everybody tune in to our new podcast that Detroit Lions history podcast. Are we cover any and all. Do the Ottoman Empire next week? And what they've done to turn the company around historically when things were bad, and boy, were they bad here. And this just kind of absolutely fits right in that mold. It's something completely different. But something we saw almost a century ago. Pretty interesting, pretty interesting to me. There you go. How's that? It's a history. You wanted history. I was going to say, I was going to say everybody tune in to our new podcast that Detroit Lions history podcast. Are we cover any and all. Do the Ottoman Empire next week? "There you go. Yep, lions are on the 81 hell yeah, delta 8 fly as a pilot. All right, I want to talk about this org structure. There's been a lot of people talking about, oh, right, what? He said he doesn't lady. That's the only thing about football. That's 5 years ago. He's been up in the front office. You learn a thing or two over the course of 5 years of doing something every day. At the highest level. That's fine. But rod wood is the top dog of this organization. He is in charge, okay? You have a GM in Brad Holmes, who reports to rod wood. You have a head coach in Dan Campbell. Who interestingly reports to rod wood, instead of the GM. So they both report to rod wood. And then he had to have Mike Disney, you know, your football ops caps, et cetera, that kind of stuff. He reports to rod wood. All right? This is something people are like, well, it doesn't know football house is going to work. This is something much, much more like a an organizational corporate organization. If you think about it, you've got your research and development, you have manufacturing, you have sales, you have your G and a, which is your HR and IS, and IT, and all that stuff right in the middle in the middle. They're kind of in those towers. Okay? So what happens? Well, R&D, that's probably your Brad Holmes role. Right? Manufacturing? That's probably your Dan Campbell row. That G and a, really. That's Mike Disney role. Those three guys all report to the CEO. The CEO is not necessarily an expert in all of those areas. And Eddie organization. Those top leaders run those businesses themselves and have to work together. And R&D has to be able to come up with a product so that manufacturing can create it can make it. And so that sales can sell it. They all have to work together. They all have to create their piece of the product cycle so that the company is successful. They have to work together. They have to apply resources, assets, everything else in order for that whole organization to succeed. And often, a good CEO will have creative conflict amongst those people and drive them to say, why is this happening? So let's put an example out here, okay? Play your axes on the board case is on the board. What's he going to do for the Detroit Lions? What Holmes he's going to step up and say, look, here's the talent that case has. He's a little slow, mentally. Not a high football IQ. Low lung capacity. Not really good at the bench. But God darn.

"He's either going to do it or he's not. And that's what you're going to get out of here. And just one last thought on the topic, Joe also mentioned he thinks that Kelly doesn't want to be in Michigan anymore. And what is the actual evidence that anybody has to prove that to be true? Because I haven't seen it. I've seen her be frustrated with the team. I've seen her be frustrated with the NFL, but I don't think that means that she wants out. I'm not saying maybe she does. And I don't know. I feel like people are reading too heavily between the lines there and coming up with their own narrative. Kelly. I'm going to tell you something, having traveled to Michigan and back down now to Florida where we currently call home. There's one thing that is significantly different. And knowing that how much they travel. And how often they see different places. I'm going to hold up a picture I took this Saturday, okay? And I'll see if it will work on the camera and get full. Stand on. That's breakfast. In Florida. There's no distancing. The staff are wearing masks. You wear masks going up to the tables or whatever, but it felt like 2019 having breakfast there. And I'm going to tell you, we don't go out. We stay in our places. But it's been like that since July. And this place should be on fire with the sick. That's going on. I feel like she probably has a sense of isolation, and at that age, I can totally get where you don't want that sense of isolation, especially somebody who's used to being out being noticed, being around town, parties, all that kind of stuff, right? There's a lifestyle that's associated. And that doesn't happen there. I can get the sense that they want to go somewhere where maybe they have more freedom to do that. I'm not here to debate what's right wrong or whatever else about that whole, the whole virus thing that's not what we're here to do. I'm just showing you a clear difference between living there and living here and how you get to live. Again, we don't go out much, but we went out for breakfast, and that's what it looked like, and it was like, wow. Why aren't we all dead? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I just think the pontification about fans trying to say, figure out what Kelly is thinking about Michigan itself or about Detroit or about the Lions. When we just don't know, and I'm not trying to poo poo the idea of conversation about it because obviously if we didn't have if we didn't just spout off our own theories about things, there wouldn't be a show. There wouldn't be anything to talk about as fans or anything like that. So I'm not trying to I never quite understood why so many people are so convinced that she wants to drag him out of Michigan. I just haven't seen the evidence of that. Give me a name lines for life in the chat. Give me a name. I just want to trade Stafford. We need to get a dual threat quarterback. Tell me who we get this year. Yeah, okay. Let's see. I want to really quick hit on James urban, he interviewed today for the offensive coordinator position. Quarterback coach for the ravens, I know he's a favorite of Chris Robbins because Lamar. I'm teasing Chris to let me beat you up. And then he was a quarterback coach, the eagles from 2029 to 2009 to 2010, wider receiver coach at the bungles from the 2011 to 2017. Comes with good pedigree. Again, though, now let's just say we hire Aaron Glen, which isn't finalized yet, but it sounds like it's a deal. James urban comes in and you think about that whole experience thing again and you're like, huh. Has anyone here written a playbook before? Is Stafford going to be out in the huddle drawn plays on his palm? Well, what are they going to run them? How is that going to work? That's the one thing that causes a little consternation for a lot of people. Yeah. I agree. Okay. Okay. All right, James urban in. I was waiting for a question. I've heard folks say that it was a satisfyer for the Rooney rule. That may be. But I don't think that this process is just a gross snuggly way to look at the world in my opinion, but I think in some cases it's honest. I think it's an honest to God truth, and it is what it is, it's just the world we live in today. What I don't think is that that's what happened with the Lions with that interview this year. I think the lines have a process that they're running that's been very, very competent looking. And again, I said this in the vlog, you can't come out on the press conference. The worst thing they had in the press conference with Brad Holmes was his lip smacking, right? He was a little bit nervous, right? You got a little going on a lot while I was talking. But other than that, he was gold. He had it all, right? And the thing I talked about for those that watch them all is the crazy eyes from Adam Gase when he got his first interview. He was trying to blink torture torture. We made a small mistake. Urban isn't black. I thought we were talking about Holmes, but check this. I'm looking at a picture of him right now. 'cause I saw someone mention that. And I just made the assumption. So even more so, we didn't hire him for the role. I've heard I've heard the train of thought about Holmes and it just being a diversity hire. And I think that's a gross, like I say. That's just a gross way to look at the world. So my bad, I took somebody else's statement that I read about that being a Rooney rule thing. And I just assumed that I hadn't seen this picture. I didn't remember him. I probably seen him as a we can admit when we're wrong. There you go. Good times. Good times. All right, so there you go. He didn't satisfy that, so we have more interviews to go. "Tangibles and intangibles, but man, is it difficult to get right? It is so difficult to get right, reliably. So we'll see, I like the idea that Dan knows him. Let's see what Joe B has here. Do you think that code Dan, the barbarian can bully Stafford into staying? I don't think he has to. I really don't think he has to. I don't think a lot of fans have been saying for years and years and years that they saw that they thought they saw the writing on the wall that staff were going to leave the lines. And yet he hasn't. They've been wrong every single time that doesn't mean they can't be right eventually. But I just don't think I think Stafford likes playing with the lines. I don't think he likes losing with the Lions. But I think he likes being where he is. I think Matthew Stafford knows the value of winning in Detroit and what it could bring. That is really the epitome of a career in the NFL right now to win in Detroit. There's no team. The browns this year were great and the story was awesome and they didn't quite make it to where it to the end point, but sorry. So we're not. It was a great story. To be the one that turned around a team like Detroit, your name will be forever etched in the history books, like turning the cubs around, right? It's that kind of a thing. Matthew Stafford believes it has believed that it was possible. What you need for Matthew Stafford right now, your two choices are he retires. Or he buys in and believes. Okay, I don't think he's going to trade away. I really, really don't think that he's going to get traded away. It is an option. You're going to hear a lot about Denver and Detroit and Denver chasing Matthew Stafford this year. I just don't think it's one of the dumbest things you could do as a new GM is trade away a franchise quarterback for an unknown. Because for the quarterback is the tell me one team that wins without a quarterback in the NFL. Not one. There is not one. And if you don't have a top ten quarterback, you ain't flying. Where are you going to find a top ten quarterback to replace Matthew Stafford? You can't do it this year. You can't. I just don't see him letting him go. So that's what leads me with the two choices of Matthew either retires early and then we have that narrative to deal with or he's convinced that this is a thing and he wants to play and he figures out how to be here. We'll see. And Matthew Stafford's not a half answer. He's not just going to show up and not do it. He's either going to do it or he's not. And that's what you're going to get out of here. "School and whatever else, but definitely want to watch. One of the things to think about and I was a 100% with you case before we hired homes. First round wide receiver and then just bury four picks into the defense, right? Just go blank deep into the defense. And the idea of homes being kind of a Wheeler and dealer, maybe finding somebody else who wants that 7th pick. Yeah. And getting ourselves some later picks. I would not be opposed to that at all. That's where you start to say, hey, maybe we're going to find an eco Collins there. I'm not super excited about how I see the draft falling right now. And again, it's early guys, so let's not get too caught up in it. But that's yearly for us. That is yearly for the Lions. Did we just always end up at the worst cusp where we can't quite get the blue chip player we want. So we have to settle for something else because we aren't able to trade back. But if you think about it, let's just devonta Smith is small, but he's a name that everyone loves to study Smith. Think about picking a Ballon Robinson and devonta Smith in this draft. What that does. All of a sudden Matthew Stafford, who won you all those games with half a gallaudet and the corpse of Marvin Jones. He almost had a thousand yards. I know. Our tight end almost had as many yards. No, I love it. He's really good. I love Marvin Jones. But you put Alan Robinson out there. Like a Devante Smith. Holy cow. All of a sudden, you've just lit the world on fire with his offense. Deandre swift, the whole thing. Real potential with just a couple of moves and then you can really hit the defense. This is what I said in my vlog last week that we may not be as far away as so many people think we are with this team and that's why the retool will be versus rebuild over hearing from mister Holmes is such a possible starter here. Let me hit loretto really quick if you don't mind case. Okay. Let me know. Thank you again for the super chat. Saints think they're a quarterback away now and have picks and talent they can give away. The only way you get great capital for Stafford is if a team only needs a veteran quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And that's where and again, thanks loretto. That's where like a colts Indianapolis coats, I think they are probably a couple other teams think they are. The saints are in real big problem. They're like 35 million over in the cap, right? They've got a whole implosion. They don't think they could afford Stafford. They also, I do think they'll what's his name, their backup quarterback, who does everything. I will not be surprised if they run offense primarily through him next year. What's his name? What's the dude's name? He does everything for him. Take snaps at QB. Taysom Hill? Yeah, that's the one. Thank you. I got you broke. I got you. All right. So there you go. Okay, again, and I don't want to, I'm just really stoked about what we got coming up here about this organizational and rod wood and all this. I think people are all wrong. I think you guys are some of the smartest listeners on the Internet. I know that. But there's so many people on Twitter that are just so wrong, so wrong. All right. Let's talk about really quick Aaron Glenn for former cornerback in the NFL. And his career with the saints after two games he had ankle injury that ended the season for him and he wound up on IR. Coached around wound up being the secondary coach for the saints since 2016 he's there now with danimal. Dan is really high in this guy. I mean, he came in ready to go. What's the downside? Well, if you think about it, you got yourself some homes. You got yourself some Dan Campbell, and you got yourself some Aaron Glenn. There's not a whole lot of experience there. So you start to start thinking about what does this mean, what could this be? Where are you and Aaron Glenn? Case, how do you feel? Well, I mean, he was a head coaching candidate for New York this year. They went with sailor, but I mean, he, if you get somebody who's on people's list as a potential head coach, come in as a coordinator, that at least looks good. I don't know enough about his schemes, his stuff, you know, again, the whole theme around this off season around this coaching staff and front office so far is new. And mystery and not really knowing what to predict, to be honest. So it's really difficult to guess for sure. But he certainly has a solid track record with what the saints secondary has been doing under him the last four years. So there is no reason not to like that idea. He's certainly one of the guys with hype around him and would I rather have a guy with hype around him than a guy that nobody likes. Yeah, sure. And we did hire two guys that had all kinds of hype around him in bob Quinn and map Patricia. And hype isn't necessarily it. Remember how disappointed everyone was when we had a settle for a hot Caldwell because we couldn't get the whiz whiz and hunt? Yeah. We'll outlasted him. So the hype is not necessarily the way you want to. The reality is, is evaluating these guys is probably about as difficult as evaluating a quarterback in the NFL. There's all kinds of things there that you look at, all kinds of tangibles and intangibles, but man, is it difficult to get right? It is so difficult to get right, reliably. He's not just going to show up and not do it..

"They have to quit creating positions of need that while you save a $1 million, have a player at three quarters, the value of the guy you got rid of. Bob Quinn was the master of deconstructing the team, getting themselves slightly worse at every single position and doing that through his own idiotic moves of creating gaps in talent. Bret Holmes does not appear to be a guy that's going to do that. We saw a lot of great players leave whether other own volition or the teams and create holes that then had to be filled. What do you feel like, oh my God, we got to roster this kind of close. It's like, no, let's create four more holes. That was the whole Quinn MO. And that's one of the key reasons why this team could never get ahead because we continued to get worse and worse and worse at position after position. It was just an absurd strategy. And I'm sorry to interrupt case with that. No, that's okay. I agree with you for the most part. He's going to have a, he's going to have some very difficult decisions to make regarding free agency this year with gallaudet and Jones, particularly, and I think that I would be concerned that he would overpay Kenny gallaudet just to keep the fans happy. That would concern me. I can't disagree. That would be highly concerning. But that's the tough part. Like you say, I don't want to see the wide receiving core completely go to shit because we lose everybody and aren't able to refill it. But would I rather pay a little bit more for Alan Robinson than Kenny gallaudet? Yeah, I would. Straight from a separation point, right? Just from separation alone, right? Yeah. Carter, my dad painted that in college. Many years ago. Thanks for noticing. Case said he wasn't going to do a little bit of hide and seek and Easter eggy stuff in the background. So I recommend watching watching every show where you have some work. I didn't actually do anything like that this week. Didn't you hang that painting? Wasn't that bear before? Well, that's been the last few shows behind me. I'm just trying to spruce up the place. There's also a didgeridoo, you can only see the top of it next to my dresser over. Thanks, Carter. Now I feel like the jerk because I didn't even recognize it. Okay. All right, anything else on Brad, did you have that you wanted? Do you want to take care of me? No, I think that's pretty much it. Like I say, as I always do, will reserve judgment till I see what he actually does. And I'm just going to say really quick again, I'm really stoked about what I have here at the end about this org structure you guys. I think I've got something that I know I've got something that isn't on Twitter and isn't anywhere else and it's going to explain rod wood and everything else and I think it's going to make a lot of sense for you all as to how it fits together. This is this is something that you're not getting from other people because they don't have this kind of experience. I'm just telling you straight up. That's what it is, but I think it makes great sense. And then the tie back that I'm going to do with this is you guys are just going to just boom. It came to me about 6 p.m. so I'm still a little formulating. So excited to get the whole thing. Let's get into Dan Campbell. Have you heard of his name Dan Campbell? Former title. I've heard of him. Not only a tight end, but he's already been a head coach. For a 7 and 5 record in Miami who went on for not bad, had he taken over the lines. That was a terrible team. And gone 7 and 5, we would have called him absolute Superman, right? If bevel had done that and I know it's the numbers don't add up with where we fired patrician and Quinn but had we gone 7 and 5 at the end, it would have been absolutely amazing. That's pretty good. He's been a head coach he's had the players, they lived and died for him. He was assistant head coach and tight ends coach for the saints since 2016. Hello, Dan Campbell. Welcome to the Detroit Lions case. Tell me why you're.

"You obviously have Todd Gurley in 2015, which injury aside, he's still been one of the better running back since he came in. Rob, have a scene has been a crucial player for them. You've got Tyler higbee and farrow Cooper in 2016, both fourth round picks, and that's what you like to see. You like to see those fourth round picks that are blowing people away. So pharaoh Cooper hasn't exactly been a star wide receiver, but he's one of the best return men in the league. In 2017, Gerald Everett the tight end in the second round and he's been solid. You have Cooper Cup in the third round. He's been great. John Johnson in the third round also, the safety for them who has been fantastic. Great. He's a big part of why that defense works so well. And then evaluating guys from 2018 on gets a little more difficult, but I think every single player that they have drafted in the last three years is still in the league in some capacity or another. Many guys starting. I shouldn't say many. Several of those guys are starters for whatever team they're on. Many of whom are still on the rams. It's been a solid three years, even if they don't have, they don't have the all pro type players in the last three years, again, I would mention that they have had less than they didn't have a first round pick. The last three years, they didn't even have a second round pick in 2018. So I would hope that Holmes is a little bit more conservative with trading away first round picks. The rams have been just really quick and this is I think a point to jump in. In the chat, it's relevant as well. Then you take the best talent available, not just a position in need like the past few years of quin Trisha, Brennan says. What I think.

Tackling Cattle, Biting Kneecaps: The Detroit Lions' Cowboy Coach

"So kristen eck. We've got to start the story in january of this year at dan campbell's introductory press conference. I wanted this job bad. Because i felt like i knew this community i played here all right on. Everything's seemingly normal and then things get a bit more interesting. I can sit up here and give you coach. Speak all day long. I can give you You know. Hey we're gonna win this many game. I can't that none of that matters in you. Guys don't want to hear it anyway. You've had enough of that shit. So excuse my language then. He drops his magnum opus. So this is going to be built on. We're gonna kick you in the teeth all right and when you punch us back. We're going to smile at you and when you knock us down we're going to get up and on the way up we're going to buy to kneecap off all right and we're going to stand up and then it's going to take two more shots you cover the team for the athletic. What was your reaction to this. I mean i think like everyone else. I was sort of just in shock for a few minutes. Just trying to figure out where he was going with everything but as we'll talk about. I'm sure that was very much dan campbell. I think the people who know him weren't all that surprised to hear that speech from him. It was funny to hear you know brad. Homes in new. General manager was introduced at the same time and he said several times since. I'm glad i got to go first. Because i don't think i could follow that up but i i think that that's you know that's what you get from dan campbell and i think that's what they wanted from dan campbell. They wanted some energy and some authenticity. And i think the fan base really responded to it. I don't know how the players necessarily took it or people in the general public but for this particular fan base. I think it went over pretty well. Neko ear thoughts when you heard it a big pro wrestling fan l. admission here and that's what that was a professional wrestling promo is having talked to him since talking all these guys for the story like he didn't planet it wasn't scripted. It was something that he said and you can kind of tell because he when he said the kneecaps thing he did it like exclaim it he just sort of set it like the most nonchalantly normal way is like to. We're going to play when your kneecaps off. And then he just kept going to the next point. It's like this is just what this guy. This is off the cuff. You could kind tell. And i think that there was a lot of authenticity with that

"Selection. Detroit Lions Select Levi owns a reek a defensive tackle Washington Almost a Rico high school teammates with Skylar Murray. They won state championships together now had both in the NFL. Not on the same team. Obviously, good Lord, can you imagine both those dudes the same My school thing when I went on the offensive, one of the defense that's just unfair for nobody else. But, yeah, they want a couple of state championships together. And by the way, the Dolphins have traded up with the New York Giants Dave Gettleman trading down again, trolling everyone. On the Dolphins trade up. We'll be taking Liam Aiken Berg. My second round list is so messed up, Dave. I'm counting on you to keep all this straight at this one. I've already given up. I'm not giving up. I'm just gonna look at your sheet. If you don't mind. We'll let me let me just be the first to say from me to you. Good luck on that. So let me let me just start real quick. Okay. So with Aaron Rodgers he's made $241 million in his lifetime as a quarterback in the NFL. He is going to get his wish. I think the Denver Broncos are one of two teams, maybe three teams. But this is a June 1st designation for the Denver Broncos, and for the Green Bay Packers. That's the only thing that I could come up with. Okay. And so when we're looking at What we do as a franchise or what did we do last night as a franchise? Look at the fact that we took a cornerback that we know we need because we're gonna have two guys that are becoming free agents next year. And we're not gonna have a pick next year, So let's get the best defensive back defensive player that we can possibly get. That's going to be an area of need next year. I think, I think quite possibly, that's the exact mindset. Of the Bronco, So I would just say no guarantees here for me, But I would urge Bronco fans to be patient. And let's just see the month of May is going to be fairly not eventful. Let's just see what happens in June with this team. It is 5 55. I almost cry me so there was. Yeah yeah me too. I got a little. What if there's a lot of people i think are about to be introduced to matthew stafford. 'cause when your quarterback for the lines are not necessarily on prime time television all the time except for maybe thanksgiving. He's an absolute stud. And i think a lot of people are about to learn that. Do you feel the same way as somebody that was shared a field with him. For what six seven years or whatever in detroit and he got mad they gotta gotta go be unbelievable down man on the la. He's a very talented man. Smart guy he will work hard and He's a great leader. Man lead by example. He approached practice. The right way Like i never seen it. professionals is a long time and he. He's he's the man what is what do you think he's gonna do to that team. And that offense obviously he and mcveigh both guys of alpha personalities. But it seems like stafford. Also is one of the tougher quarterbacks ever to play the game i know he played with. What a broken back. Like what do you. What do you think he does instantly for that office. Up thinking to bring a lot of like know accuracy. Deep ball guy He will carry a team man go he could take any low In low you wanna give him you know. Click gays comeback. Like i said for longest man. Staffer was only missing a great defense in our Around half a great defense. Becky continue to get the ball back when i was at time. Stafford was putting up thirty points. Defense flutie given up thirty points to as well so but guy that got a defender keeping twenty point under seventeen points under yes tap. Wanna put up clear. A thirty points easily. Isn't that something that's pretty interesting is. We're talking to darius like corner for the philadelphia eagles. Now isn't that something interesting to think about in this is coming from a corner. Who's on defense. Is that a thought. Hey if we keep them under twenty points are guys going to be able to get an. Is that a goal going into each game. Hey now greenwich last shutout. We want this but the realistic like. Hey if we keep this under twenty. There's a good chance guy's gonna get that. Is that something that actually goes through your mind yet. Easily may cause you know a you see the work definitely with guys like staffer. Long enough man. He gets hot seagoing man. He's unstoppable star any kind of way Making the easiest Hardest make look easy. And you know that's always a defense go to have a team on the twenty. Most of the guys honestly as a quarterback league wants big status scoreboard up. I'm not going to ask you about the drama. That's been surrounding your team. Because there'd be incredibly unfair to you. You're not involved in that but jalen hurts appears to be the quarterback going into next year for you guys. What did you see. Jalen that makes you think like okay. This guy is going to be our guy. There was moments of greatness out there. I don't think everything was as smooth on offense as out of the ball last year as we would hope. But what do you think like philadelphia. Eagles fan should expect from jalen hurts. That you've seen behind the scenes. It's like hey this is. There's a reason this guy's going to be our guy now because he's a great leader as a young guy came to a chip on her shoulder. honestly man no disrespect carson. But he always felt like that was his spot. You know Causing the great guy but he came into the yoga came into the room into basic on. Take over to the office. You know as Why not disrespect me. Just as in i want to come compete against you to become this guy and i want to be the face at his team. He always had a ball always had drive in that kind of separate a lot of guys that you know. He was kind of just determined. You know is competitive. Why not disrespectfully. It just like mom. Okay to compete. You're the best rocky for the team. That's all were you surprised at all. Were any teammates surprise to see him. Like what's he like that from day one Well we already saw that. He had a lot of swagger about him ignored college. That's what we use as the term. Now as you see a goddess plan college boy he got a lot of sway. You carry yourself the right way and you can see in alabama and he you ever had to take no game bitch at a at a taleban. So what's the reaction been like from the himself. Calvin johnson's not somebody who gets emotional. Accept Matthew Stafford as to why the Lions have for decades under Stafford's run, have not been able to win a playoff game. I readily acknowledged that Matthew Stafford has not had a lot of help in Detroit, but I also believe that there's something to not being able to get your team. Over the top, and he just hasn't been able to do that. Yes, He's got a very good young head coach who was considered an offensive guru in L. A. I think he will step onto the peeled and have more weapons. In Los Angeles than he ever had his entire decade in Detroit. But to me, does this put a lion's up and over the top? No.

Houston Texans hire Baltimore Ravens’ David Culley as new head coach

"The Houston Texans have hired a new head coach David culley to be he's a new head coach that gave him a five-year contract. He had three titles this past year with the Baltimore Ravens. He was the assistant head coach. He was the passing game coordinator and he was the wide receivers coach. I thought it was a big surprise. I did not expect and I don't think anybody expected this guy to be hired as a head coach. I didn't know he was on the market. I don't know. He was out there kind of reminds me a lot of the Lions where Detroit Lions are such a bad organization. They had to hire somebody that maybe nobody wanted cuz of reality is nobody else wanted the job and was willing to take the

"I'm gonna have to do is make sure that contain myself so you may get a couple of things where I'm completely out of the screen. Because I'm moving. I'll do my best. But I'd say this first, just in regards to Um you know the head coach search how I ended up here. One of the things would be that I told my agent Rick Smith has to make sure that they think I'm Matt Campbell. So I think that's how this is really worked out. Great for me. So so now I'm in the seat. I am Dan Campbell on But I do know this. You can't go wrong with a Campbell. Um That is the lines new head coach affectionately known as the dude. It's on his nameplate, folks. That Dan Campbell, he went on to say some other things. Let's bring it. Yes, he did. Look. Hey, man, you good morning, Matt. How are you? I'm good. I have to ask you about this strategy about biting kneecaps off and winning football games. I mean, Is quote Manny, this team is going to be built on. We're going to kick you in the teeth. And when you punch us back, we're going to smile at you. And when you knock us down, we're going to get up on the way. We're going to buy the kneecap off and I mean it goes on, and we're gonna take another hunk out of you. Before long. We're going to be the last one standing. That's the mentality going forward in Detroit, Manny, but they don't have endemic ASU anymore. Tol bite Meka Despite kneecaps and Theo, step on, you know, injured haves and help us out many. Well, Here's what Here's What I see Man. I see a franchise in the Detroit Lions. That has one. Exactly one. One postseason game since 1957. Okay? And that was in the divisional round against the Dallas Cowboys in 1991 got any NFC title game that year got blown out by Washington. And they have not won a playoff game since. So we're going on 30 years now, since the Detroit Lions have won a postseason game. All this all this talk about, you know. And Campbell in and I'm sounding like a Lions fan saying this, But I'm sounding like a jaded lines fan saying this I have no rooting interest in the Detroit Lions at all. I mean, that's I love Barry Sanders was a kid, but That's what you want A franchise like that to be good. I mean, you I do. Yeah, you do. And you know the franchises that have been sort of downtrodden for a long time, like the lines have. It's It's kind of same thing with the Browns of Browns have been generally ran and terrible forever and It's nice to see them contending and you know, they went on a nice little run this year. So, yeah, you do like to see you know the teams that are traditionally bad. Have their moments of being good and get some opportunities. But I just look at all this. You know this bravado and this You know, we're gonna kick in the teeth and you know, when you knock us down, we're gonna smile back at you. And then we're gonna bite your kneecaps like Getting out. Are you? Do you have a formula for turning this team into a contender? I don't care about biting kneecaps. I don't care about Kicking people in the teeth. You can't kick people in the teeth in the NFL, So I don't want any more of that stuff. You know what I mean? It's it's we're in the 21st century. We're 21 years into the 21st. Century. By the way, What do you have this What is your plan for winning? I don't care about kicking people in the teeth and biting kneecaps. This is a franchise that has not one. Matt. They have won anything. What is your plan for winning? Installing a winning culture, not a biting kneecap culture. Yeah. You look I know Matt Millen was a great guy and everything, but he had a great personality. It it almost sounds like things franchise just once you know somebody boisterous Tonto. You know it. They're almost looking for NPR instead of winning games right now. Yeah, And based on some of the comments that I've read online, you know whether it's you know. Commenting under the press conference video of things like that A lot of Lions fans are actually really excited right now, Matt, But here's my thing. What is going to happen? When Dan Campbell if the Lions next season start out on three What What? You know, the fans are not gonna want to hear about kicking people in the teeth their own three if they're two and seven. If they're foreign 12, they're not gonna care about any of that stuff. What's your What is your plan again? What is your plan for installing a winning culture with them? The Detroit Lions organization because it has not been there since Barry Sanders was with the team 20 plus years ago, and even then. Winning the standard of winning for the franchise at that time was nine and seven. Yeah. So I just You know, it is their plan for installing, you know, a good system. What you gonna do with Matthew Stafford? Yeah, the guy that's been their franchise quarterback for over a decade. Is he going to stay there? You're gonna trade him. What? What is your plan for that? I just always kicking people in the teeth and biting kneecaps stuff is just I mean, miss me with that stuff, man. Well, yeah, they haven't done anything kneecaps in Detroit since and Dhammika Sue left on Tao. He's got a chance to win a Super Bowl. Um, let's talk about quickly about this matchup. We got coming up between Packers and the Bucks Packers hosting the box in the title game here to juggernauts going at it here from the quarterback position? Yeah, absolutely. I think it's a great match up. It's gonna be really exciting. The two quarterbacks Rogers and Brady Doling it out. You know on Tampa Bay is is, you know their defense is really strong and a great performance against the Saints last week. And it's a team that's very confident. I think you know, and and certainly the Packers are very confident as well. I'm looking forward to this. This they're both of these championship games this weekend are going to be fantastic. It's going to be great theater. Yeah, Fantastico. And as you mentioned weeks ago old versus young, I mean, at the quarterback position, you've got quite the dichotomy between the divisions here..

"Chris had didn't have a groin injury to i mean. He was injured leg at the beginning of the season. That was kind of an issue because brady quite a few get. Yeah it couldn't get in sync with everybody and So but other than that. I mean we haven't had any major major issues like we were last year. "And it's a one time like people aren't gonna scream for your job at that point yet right right. The family is like it's not even a blip on the radar and feel like now if we would've lost it because they held but a different story. Yeah did you remember here in the got okoro. I had never heard of before and sort of got hurt. His name like all game long. The back when defensive lineman abba okura they kept saying oh quarter alcoa and i was like who is a. Wow that keeps saying his name so much. We'll one what besides the fact that he was making plays. There's two of 'em there's two. Oh cora's brothers. Shortland brought scott smith preview. Oh i had no idea. Yeah there's a romeo and something okoro one place left defense van and plays defensively and it was like confused as yeah. So that's why you kept hearing oklahoma's name all tigers tool and they both basically play the same position Yeah julian and romeo julia's a rookie. Plays left defensive and romeo played right. Defensive have The ninety five gay worse. He was a handful for worse. Yeah okura romeo or korir Miss c l o in that talked about chase daniels with the metronome arms in the. I'm a watch all those game tape. And i'm constantly having to mark win. The play starts. I watch the quarterbacks a lot and a big into reading tells if i can pick up a tell a quarterback if he's going to let me know when the ball is going to snap it makes my job a lot easier. Yeah and chase. Daniel's has a huge tell. Matt ryan is is a guy. He's got a huge tail to think i've talked about it. A little bit is spreads. His legs were quick Chase daniel's does this thing with his arms where he has a biocide in swing it forward one time and swing it forward another time and that's when whole hiked. The ball is on it the swing. Yeah in our defensive line picked up and they were just you know a split second faster than normal which is deadly But you could actually see Start to go before the ball was snapped so that was interesting. Yeah huge tail huge. I i find it hard to believe it. You know a quarterbacks coach or something has stepped in and said go do. everybody knows when you're getting ready to snap. Could you do that metronome crack. Jp had a fantastic game again. Fantastic absolutely incredible. I don't know how this guy it i don't either. I mean just goes the whole season. It's like he never run out of energy. he's never hurt and he just played the same level all the time. It's not like he's out there. Being no brag about it or anything like that means very confident as for sure. But he's not a show boater. Everything does not he. He's he's doing it. Because i don't know reminds me like a special forces guys like you know just makes me tougher. The more the more you hurt me the stronger idea. He like lives for that mask. And you just install it never stops. i counted. he had four tipped. it didn't show up in the stance. But i was looking. I was like yeah. He got his hand on that ball. I'm pretty damn sure. And then again. I was like oh looks like you got another one and another one. I was like holy crap. And he gets a lot of tips balls because he if you watch him if he does get to the quarterback he's jumping you know when quarterback goes..
