"Bengals, Buccaneers. All right, four games go in the lightning round. Look, the Bengals just keep on cruising here. Dicey first half, but they take over the second half. Look, Tony Romo is a nice Midwestern fella and an optimist and I think he was really trying to find some ray of hope with this Buccaneers offense. As the game was wrapping up, he was kind of like, you know, I think we saw some positive steps forward. I think it can be saved. I would gently disagree while recognizing that he knows a lot more about football than I do. I think this was the game where they rolled out on the new stuff, and it worked for a half. And then the Bengals were like, oh, okay, so this is your new stuff. And then it was done. And then they couldn't, they turned the ball over a lot, and I talk all the time about sort of the flu Ness of turnovers and how it took. But they had no hope of moving them all in the second half of this game. So it was just, it was just sort of, you know, it was like cutting out the middleman between having to punt it on another three and out. It's just turning it over, and that's how their offense function. It was more play action, a little more motion, and, you know, I think it caught the Bengals off guard, and then it didn't. And then it was over. This is not true. I mean, Tom Brady knows more about football than probably any living breathing human at this point, but I just like the idea of, you know, these I don't know if you saw the report where Tom Brady essentially has like a closed door Saturday meeting now without Byron leftwich or any of the coaches in there in which he gets to like change the game plan, which is very funny. But I just, I like the idea that, you know, he's 46 now. The idea of him just going in there and starting to like any 46 year old, just starting to say crazy things that don't make sense anymore and him just being like, ah, we're gonna do this and everyone's like, oh God. What's happening here? And I doubt that that's happened. But it's just one of those, like we're all like, where is Tom Brady going to play next year, but all the players in the bucks are like, he's just making stuff up, man. This is totally crazy. Falcons saints. Also the NFC south really eating each other. Of late here, the saints end up knocking off the falcons. This was Desmond Ritter's first start. He looked, he looked like a guy making his first start. I thought he was, you know, the ball placement wasn't great. I thought he looked a little bit slow, processing. He looked like a rookie quarterback, who wasn't quite ready for this. I feel like the saints in the falcons play every week in a game that I just don't want to watch, right? It's just every week I look at the schedule and I'm like, oh my God, it's falcon saints again. How did that possibly happen? I don't, you know, not a whole lot. I mean, there's a Taysom Hill touchdown of all things, and he was upset about that diet he's a male comment about. Clearly motivated. Yeah. Clearly motivated. But I don't know. I guess positives Drake London got the ball 7 times.

"Really think New England is a possibility. I know people think I'm crazy, but I do. What kind of feedback do you get on the man and Catherine? You said that on ESPN2. Was there a lot of text coming through? Same kind of no one's saying that's outrageous. Nobody who would know anything saying, that's insane. He would never go back. I think there's a feeling that it's not insane. You're good on that. You were good. Did you solid there? That's a nice opening act. Following Joe burrow is great. That's what you gotta do. A couple more games just from a $1 million pick standpoint. Underdog parley, okay? Falcons plus one 84 over the saints. I like the one 84 more than the plus four and a half because to me it's like if Ritter's good or decent. I do think they could beat the saints. I love the falcons running game. I like all of the running backs. And I think Mariana really hurt them. I test just watch them week to week. Once it was third and whatever, they just couldn't complete their dance with unless they're running it. That Thursday night game against Carolina in my head where he's throwing it's like you're a veteran. You can't be doing that. You can't be fumbling. Can I tell you the one Ritter story that I love that I have in mind? Okay, so senior bowl, which is like the two worst teams are the coaching staffs and they go out there and they roll the ball out and you get all these guys and I get so much good information coming out of the senior bowl because all those seniors are with these coaching staff and the coaches are like, we're probably not drafting this guy, but here's what you should know about him. The jets coaches told me this one that they were in the senior bowl and it's like the end of the game. No one's watching. It's over, whatever, and Desmond ritters their quarterback. And he's been great all week. The pied piper, the team. Everyone's following him everywhere he goes. And Desmond winner goes up and down the sidelines like Michael Strahan and the Super Bowl against the Patriots and he's like, we're winning this game. We're winning this game. I'm taking us on this drive and the jets coaches were like, who the hell is this guy? And what a Desmond Ritter do. They all got jacked up and he took him right down the field. It sounds like I'm pretty. It sounds like rock purdy, right? But does that translate to Sunday against the saints? I don't know, but I do know this. He's waited all season. He's been with this team all season and they spent the entire biweek with him as their guy and he's now number one. I got a Mariota took off. He was like a jilted lover. No, I think his wife gave birth that everyone's like reporting this as if he ran away. I think he had a kid. Oh, is that true? That's what I thought I've been told, so let's give him a little slack. So underdog parley, falcons plus one 84, you intrigued? Yeah, a lot. And then colts plus one 72 in Minnesota. Stay away? Yeah, come on. And Donna tells defense has given up like 400 yards the past four weeks. It's incredible. 6 week 8, Indy is 29th in DVA in Minnesota's 26th. Gosh, did we not see this stage perfectly last week? We did 20 minutes on why we can't trust the Vikings. And then they're like, we've got so many tweets, both of us from Vikings fans, man. Like, we're just sometimes, it's pretty rough. A couple other underdog

"The Mike malarkey era and what I really loved about Mike malarkey was it was all the pre snap shifting and motioning. He just wasn't doing it at full speed. But do you remember that? It was like every snap, there was like 20 seconds in the backfield where people were just moving back and forth. Like pre arranged little pieces on the board 'cause they're doing the same things that motion does now, only not at full speed, which was the obvious connection. But I think what that's done is it's allowed him to kind of do some chess piece thinking there. And there was some really cool things that they did with Kyle Pitts in terms of protections. That I had never seen before. So kudos to art Smith on that. I think that was a neat thing. So that's the good thing. The bad thing is that if you can't handle four questions, postgame, after week one, we're going to have a big problem here because that's going to be a long season. Your number one offensive player is now a 32 year old Cordero Patterson. You know, we're going to have, we're going to have some rough spots this year. It's I can't tell if it's less work to do that 'cause it's shtick, right? I mean, he's not really that upset with the questions he's being asked. Is it easier for him to sort of feign anger and frustration and walk off after four questions than actually field an entire session's worth of fairly mundane questions that every coach in the league deals with. But we were talking about this a little bit before the show. He got really upset earlier in the week. I guess technically last week at this point. He was getting some questions about Desmond Ritter and how many snaps will he get in practice and he got really frustrated and it's just like, this is the team that almost traded for deshaun Watson.

"I have bears plus 7 50 for worst record. I think just for the value of the odds, I think they're going to be terrible. They're offense. I don't know how they're going to, I think they're going to be the team where just anytime they play a good defense, you just have to go, how are they going to score more than ten points? I don't see it. They have other than Mooney. And I don't even love Mooney, but you would say they probably have the worst receivers in the league or if they don't, they're in the top three. Running backs, mediocre, no offensive line. New coaching staff again, I just don't see a path for them to do better than four and 13. So I have them as like the best value. Who do you have for worst record shirt? I did not bet this market, but I certainly think the Seahawks are even prime contention for that. I think the Seahawks, the bears and the falcons are interesting. Seattle is different in a different category to me because Seattle needs to reset massively with everything that they're doing and they should be incentivized to lose games. The bears are a team that will struggle due to talent, but they already have their quarterback and they need to be trying to put them in positions to win and have success with every ounce of their being to not give him a horrible experience in his second year as a starter. I think Arthur Smith has a lot to prove in year two coaching to falcons. And I think Desmond Ritter could show some sneaky upside if he does get inserted in there for Marcus Mariota. You know, there are a lot of teams in the league that are going to struggle. I think the jets are still going to have some problems. I think the Texans are going to be a little bit more feisty than people think, but they need to have some limitations. So wait, hold on. You talked about Seattle. They're in the un FanDuel. Houston's plus three 50 for his record. Atlantis four to one, Seattle is plus 7 50. The bears have been bent down as plus 7

"By NCA. All right, we are we are on to the Tennessee Titans at 26. You want to get wild? I do. Are you thinking a quarterback? Yeah, baby. I mean, here's my thought process, right? If you're John Robinson, you're either in full on veteran replacement, full-time mode, or you're in this is about where we're going to pick for the foreseeable future. We're a good organization. We're run well. We have good players. And so it's always going to be like 20 to 32. Do we take a shot on someone, get the 5th year option? Because they don't have a second round pick. So it's not like they can kind of hang around there and Jimmy Garoppolo the thing. So I don't know. You take quarterback here or like gosh would trail and Burks look so good in that offense. But next to AJ Brown, I mean, that would really be something and you give Ryan Tannehill one more shot. But because at some point you're going to have to Derek Henry is not going to be able to carry this thing all by himself. And AJ Brown is going to need some people to kind of play off of like he had in the best of his years in Tennessee. So I don't know. I'm between quarterback. You know, I think there's probably a little internal discussion going on right now in the war room, you know? You see Desmond Ritter up there. You thinking, I don't know, you know? Certainly when you're taking a quarterback at this portion of the first round, salary doesn't play into it that much because you can, let's say we do haven't taken Desmond Ritter here. Their quarterback room, their total salary is just not, it's not going to eat the cap in a way that Ritter we counter back up. And now you don't have to pay $8 million for a backup or whatever. The number would be. The thing that gives me hesitance with them, getting out of this is you missed on a first round pick in 2020. You're looking at Tannehill's deal. I don't know, he's Tannehill going to force their hand at some point where they're going to need cap cap. Relief and basically do the Kirk Cousins thing with him. Will they end up landing in that type of spot? Woof. But right now, if they just let it sit, they have him for one more year. They can get out after this year. I mean, what the dead cap is 1818 on a 36.6 if they hang on to him. So yeah, I guess I guess I could see that. Hanging on to him there. Yeah, you know, I think but you're right..

"But here's what I'll say. There are enough people in front offices that I could see him very easily getting taken off the board in the northeast up through the upper Midwest of teams that don't play that play outdoors. That still and I don't know whether that's right or wrong, but I've talked to people in scouting positions or whatever. Like a year ago that were like, yeah, big hands, tough guy. You gotta play, you gotta be that way to play in Ohio. Like that's how people still think about things in the NFL. And so I think that it is gonna hurt him. But as a player, he's fun to watch, you know? I think he's creative. I think he's one of those guys that you can tell is just has been playing the position for his entire life, right? And so he knows all the ins and outs. I think he's maximized his ability for what God has given him on earth. And I should note, I just sort of order these randomly. These are not like rankings or anything. So, yeah. Let's go on to Desmond Ritter, he's a guy who it wasn't a Kenny Pickett breakout, but he did himself a lot of good last season at Cincinnati. Much better, I thought he was a much more efficient processor, I don't the one thing that kind of surprised me as I watch him more and more is I just always assumed as someone who probably watched, I don't know, maybe 14 snaps of Cincinnati football over the previous three seasons. I was like, yeah, big guy, athlete. Must be a big arm guy. The arm's not that big. He doesn't throw with a ton of velocity to me. It kind of looked like a less refined Daniel Jones with maybe a little more a little more arm talent and I don't really know, I mean, this is a pro abracadaniel podcast here, but I'm not sure what to make of that with Desmond Ritter at this point..

"Challenge in college football because they run a triple option flexbone offense, meaning that basically they run the beer and triple option, and it's a different style of offense that Cincinnati is not going to play against again, the rest of the year. So it's tough to prepare for because it's so unique and different than anything else in college football. And also, remember, maybe not remember, but let me tell you, Cincinnati one point in the fourth quarter 27 to ten going into the beginning of that quarter. So Cincinnati had a big lead, it just got cut short by navy making progress in closing down that lead, making it 27 to 20 by the end. I don't know. I'm curious how the rankings reflect the fact that Cincinnati barely beat navy next when the rankings come out on Monday. I'm curious, I don't know what's going to happen there. Also, I'm really curious what the NFL thinks of Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ritter. He's a good athlete a guy who can throw. I think that Desmond Ritter isn't maximizing his arm strength. I think I look at his ability to throw the ball. I'm like, there's his frame with a bit of work, could drive the ball with a lot more velocity downfield. So I think he wants to work with a better quarterback coach in the off season. But I just wonder if someone's gonna look at Desmond Ritter. Someone in the NFL will see that there's a guy with potential that could be developed. And I don't know if he will. He's definitely a guy with there's something there with Desmond Ritter. He does a lot of stuff I like and I'm curious if any NFL teams see potential there that I see with Desmond Ritter. Now, navy is one in 6. They're a win football team. A 7 point win over navy is really, really not good for Cincinnati. It makes me wonder if Oklahoma will leapfrog Cincinnati in the rankings. Although I will say number three Oklahoma barely beat a one win Kansas team as well. So neither team played that great Oklahoma or Cincinnati this weekend Kansas is awful. Yet they really, really challenged Oklahoma. Kansas led 17 to 14 at the start of the fourth quarter in this football game. Oklahoma is losing take Kansas to start the fourth quarter. Like Oklahoma is ain't no right now, but they've had some really ugly and unconvincing wins so far this year. And I just wonder if people are going to what happens in the rankings this Monday? Does Oklahoma leapfrog Cincinnati? I'm really curious to see what happens there. I saw a lot of people being critical of Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams. Remember, OU benched Spencer Rattler against Texas and then Caleb Williams has.

"Number one is a number 11 Kentucky at number one Georgia. It's a huge game. Two ranked SEC teams. I worry that this is a game where Georgia could slip up. I think Georgia wins this game personally, but there's always an opportunity here for an upset or an overconfident Georgia team number one in the country, maybe it's overconfident against a number 11 Kentucky team. There's also a bit of a quarterback controversy in Georgia right now stetson Bennett or JD Daniels. A lot of people are saying hey, it makes sense for I even said this. It makes sense at this point for sets and Benton to maybe be the starting quarterback long term at Georgia. But it's too undefeated teams both are 6 and O can number one Georgia stay undefeated. Game number two, UCF Central Florida at number three Cincinnati. If Cincinnati wins out, there will likely getting into the college football playoff can Cincinnati stand defeated. They should win this game, but and I love Cincinnati's quarterback Desmond Ritter, but it'll be interesting, can Cincinnati their problem is can they avoid complacency? Every week you have to take care of business and dominate your opponent and sometimes everyone has a bad game at some point. And Cincinnati more so than every other team in the top ten Cincinnati can not have a loss. They can not afford it. They can not slip up at all. How about number 12 Oklahoma state at number 25, Texas. Last week, Texas lost to Oklahoma by one score. And then somehow, Oklahoma, I got ranked. The number four team in the nation, meanwhile, Texas got put at number 25. If I was texted, I would feel mad. I'd be like, what? What? How was there a 21 point ranking difference between us and the team we barely lost to? So I believe in angry, Texas team goes, I guess plays at home and dominates this weekend over Oklahoma.

"Sounds good 23 minutes away from eight o'clock. We're going back to the cold play Well, twice in the same show, huh? All right. My name is my leg her in for Lance McAllister. This is sports, talking to Tuesday evening land to be back on Thursday. Justin Williams covers you see football and basketball for the athletic and there's there's a lot to get to The aftermath of the Peach Bowl. You got schools coming after Marcus Freeman. You have players making decisions about whether they're going to stay at school or jump to the NFL and the basketball team that use he's lost five straight games. And that's not supposed to happen. So there's a lot to discuss. Justin is here. You could subscribe to the athletic and you could read his work. He doesn't awesome job and you can also follow him on Twitter and Williams underscore Justin. How you doing? I'm doing great. How are you? I'm good. I'm better now that you're here. Let me uh, let me start with the Peach Bowl. Third until you got to run the ball, right? Yeah, but it's bigger than that. Reno right? Cause it Z to place where they didn't let the play clock right down. And, you know, Yeah. You can't really go back and do revisionist sister. I get that. But if you just let those Play class run down. Everything else remains the same. You're looking at. What a minute 20. I think for that third down, basically, If they would have done it right. They could have cut a minute off of what George got when they got the ball back. So instead of getting with a minute, 30 they get it with about 30 seconds left on the 20, and they have to go down and score field goal. Now, you know who knows what happened, But it certainly would have been a lot tougher and Then you know, on the other side of it, if if they make a complete that 32 or there, Michael younger help Pierce. They're just they somehow you know, through that pass, you get a get a completion. I mean, maybe behind Pike defends, but there's probably not aboard. Finding play in the history of the program. So you know it was a zero to hero call, and obviously to him not being a zero and then that's what people are gonna remember. So but but I think it's bigger than just that 13 to call. It was really just kind of the way that whole driveway. You're right about that. Here's here's what kind of sticks in my craw. It's It's not the mechanics of what they could have couldn't have done. Second guessing is easy. Second guessing is a part of the gig. It's what makes sports fund Luke Fickell. I think behind closed doors would be willing to admit that certainly not right after the game, but fine. The thing for me, though, is and I wrote about this for the athlete for the athletic that the publication that you work for it, and I think there's some people who took this as me being cynical or negative, and it's not that It's an appreciation. For what that moment Woz you are. You are two yards away. You're a minute and a half away from achieving the greatest victory in your program's history and to do that. You've got to finish your season undefeated. You've gotta win your league. You've got to be the highest rank of all the group of five schools and you've got to go toe to toe with a powerhouse for 58 minutes. All of those things are hard to do it the same time. That's not to say that you see football is gonna be bad or not being a big bowl game or not being the top. Those things very well could happen. They're gonna have a good team coming back next year. But it felt to me like the planets were lining and the planets don't align all that often. You only get some of the opportunities like that. You're right, especially with the situation there. And I mean, look, you see, a football has been really good for the past two years, but What it's been at least three years now, since I've been to a New York six bowl and they've been good. They've had good recruitment had successful seasons. You know, Memphis wins the Commerce title s last year and then, obviously like this year, they're not even playing for a championship. So as much as I think the bear cats, they're set up for success moving forward, and I really do you know, I think there's a good chance that the last thing Kind of memory of this game is just the fact that Cincinnati belonged on that stage. They didn't go into that game and get blown out. They went into that game, and they should have won. But you were right that if we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that just getting to that point, you know. Yeah. Everything's set up really Well, you have Luke Fickell. All that stuff is great. But even with all those things getting there is hard and they were there and they had a chance to win. And they didn't so e think you're totally right that even if they do get back there next year more the back there in a couple of years. Let's not lose sight of the fact that how difficult that was and how great it would have been for the program to get that win. We have spent the aftermath of that watching players decide whether or not they're going to jump to the NFL or State University of Cincinnati. And I think the big one that that everybody is paying attention to his Desmond Ritter. I would expect an announcement here within the next day or two is does your gut tell you either way, whether or not does is going to stay or go Yeah, I've always been lean, and then he comes back, and I'm stunned. Still definitely leaning that way. Um, you know, he's gotten some attention. Certainly, you know, kind of an NFL draft circles, and I think it became definitely from the start of the season. But even just over the course of the season, you know became something he really had to think about. I mean, you wrote about this think back like If you'd have told people in the second week of the season third week of the season, the decision he's gonna have to make everyone had been like, please, you know, go into the draft, and so you know his credit. He's made that a viable option on he's done that by playing really well, so I think he realizes that there's still some things he work on them to be an NFL quarterback, and so because I think he comes back, But you know, all christened him. The fact that he made this I think probably a tougher decision than even he expected entering the season. If you would have said to me that in September we're gonna be talking about Desmond Ritter being the offensive player of the year in the league, and we're you know, he's gonna maybe leave early to go get it. Go, You know, end of the draft and maybe get drafted. I would have laughed at you. I mean, I would have taken that bet right now. I guess the way I look at it is a It's a great success story because he advanced so much you wrote about this during the season, not just as a thrower, but the mental aspect of pre snap aspect of it. The timing the runs better all that stuff. He really evolved into a complete, well rounded college quarterback, But he's not a finished product. He still has a ways to go. He should be the quarterback of a really good team next year. It's also a loaded draft class. So I mean to me, there's I certainly would never begrudge anybody a chance. Toe go and lead to an opportunity that awaits And who knows what's gonna happen. You could get hurt all that stuff at the same time. I think there's more upside T staying in school than there is to testing the waters in the NFL draft. Where, as as great as it is that people are writing about him is as an NFL draft choice. It doesn't strike me as somebody who is going to be taken on Thursday or Friday, so why not come back to school? Yeah, And, you know, let's not discount the fact that like he can, you know if he comes back and have a good season next year, he's up there with, you know the Dooley. He's an all time great. You know that quarterback and football player and he's from right down the road in Louisville, his family could come up and see him play. Obviously, this was not kind of the normal college experience this year that The starting quarterback player of the year would would want to have, so, you know? Yeah, get the NFL stuff. But I.

Cincinnati just three first downs all half In a big play game for everybody on offense when it comes to this, but the second half the well gone dry right now, let's see if Desmond Ritter's got any more magic left for 13 16 were again they just need to execute. 3rd 16. He takes the snap return now racing back to the 20 yard line. Looking downfield, he fires and it's broken up by Georgia on the near side line. Intended for the tight end. Dyson Campbell good coverage and he slapped it away in the nick of time. This where we've seen Cincinnati have success. Desmond. We're rolling left. We talked about all the yardage he had. Campbell does a great job gets his arm on the back, but not grabbing cloth gets an arm out front and this defense for George again standing on its head. So Smith on 4th and 15 will definitely put this one. As he launches this point with the left foot Georgia with the fair catch at about the 15 yard line. At 8 59 to go here in the fourth. It is 21 to 16, Cincinnati. Down the stretch. We come here in the peach ball. This is the Chick fil a Peach Bowl on ESPN Radio and the ESPN app. Hi, California. Everybody.

"Ended up going in favor of Alabama all these shots that like Notre Dame in the A C C title game this year. If you miss early, you're settling for field goals. You're not going to be able to last against team with that much talent. I think it's going to be an entertaining game. That book is a tough, tough kid. He is incredible playmaker for them. He's played his best football. The relationship between him and offensive coordinator Tommy Reese Susan's first full season with the team, I think is allowed in to play a lot calmer this year, and it makes some of the big players. We saw that first Clemson game that big time prime time game against North Carolina, hopefully for them. Today in the Rose bed, and he could get very creative as well as we saw that North Carolina game him him and Desmond Ritter apparently working out of the same playbook so far from what we've seen from Ritter, really this season and today and I'll tell you what, that's an exciting playbook. That's entertaining football. We've seen Ritter do it things that a couple of guys would even think about doing where the lesser talent you know, reservoir than he has. He's made some great plays today. Georgia takes over the football here. They do so at their own 29 yard line, moving right to left, and the black uniforms with the red helmets and a handoff goes to Sameer White. At a short game is he go back into the center of the line, but 90 seconds to go here in the third quarter, it's Cincinnati, leading in 21 to 10 and a game that has seen some really interesting offensive plays plenty of penalties. Had a couple of incredibly long reviews. And yet it's been a pretty entertaining game to this point second down and nine for Georgia. 80 Daniels from the gun. Here's the snap. He looks straight on. He's gonna fire it out of bounds off to his right as the play failed to develop. Tell you what Cincinnati came out here, Marcus Freeman, their defensive coordinator, said earlier this week. We're not going to change a lot of the things that we do. We've seen what Cincinnati's don't all year man coverage, giving them extra bodies around the line of scrimmage. They've been stuffing this Georgia rushing attack. Getting up the back field, creating problems. Expect more of that on this third down as we get jolted Blanco, the linebacker, mugged up in the age gap, trying to.

"Lower torso goes down. That's six points, lower torsos down arms or underneath the ball, and even if it touches the ground as long as it's not moving, then still playing at the further review. The ruling on the field stands touchdown touchdown for Cincinnati. The quarterback Ritter Backed up 15 yards, and he's done that two or three times and it's wound up in a big reception. And really killed the clock to down to six. Second. They started that drive with three minutes and 40 seconds left in the half right there. And that was all the heroics of Desmond Ritter on that drive, Lose your starting left tackle in the middle of it, Overcome a penalty and still find paper Cincinnati on top 13 to 10 looking for the extra point now. Michael Smith. It's down. The kick is up, and he stuck it in. Just inside the right upright for the extra point, Cincinnati on top ears, We turn toward halftime 14 to 10 and a spectacular play the end of the first out. I just your mouth that I'm still picking my job off the floor with Desmond redder. As we said, You want to try and get things off on time. You've got to be cognizant of the clock. Desmond Turner says. No, I'm good. I'm going to make plays for my offense. What a remarkable job as pressure's getting towards him. You see him drifting back. But Georgia defenders closing in everywhere and still has the presence of mind to have his eyes downfield and this tight end group that we said in the top Has such an important role in this offense did a great job when things breaking down to know where his quarterback was gonna look redder Name the American Athletic Conference offensive player of the year yet another example of why they got that boat, right? As he has the bear cats in front just before halftime over Georgia. Wylie, also with a magnificent Plato help him. The drive was three minutes and 40 seconds. Cincinnati will also get the kick and possession of the football to begin the second half. Your coaches talk about it all the time, winning the Middle eight last four minutes of the first half. First four minutes of the second. Cincinnati's got a great chance to do that old Patriot idea of really winning those possessions. So Cincinnati kicks off Georgia. We'll take the ball inside the 25 yard line, and with six seconds to go, let's see what the Bulldogs come up with here, trailing 14 to 10 Cincinnati by the way, 26 1 win leading at halftime. Going back there last loss in the championship game of the conference against Memphis in 2019. It's just such a remarkably composed unit. They mentioned this. This team had a drive where they needed to go down and win. The game against host on the offense doesn't blink and high pressure situations. 25 this snap to Daniel. So simply take a knee and a clock will run out. So that's the end of the first half. Which had a lot of penalties, a lot of reviews and a whole lot of Desmond Ritter. With his legs and his arm in a sensational played in the half. Ritter with two touchdown passes, none more impressive than that strike to Wiley. Cincinnati again to receive the second half kickoff. We're at halftime here, the Chick fil a Peach Bowl. It is 14 to 10, Cincinnati leading Georgia. Now, here's Kevin Winter in the studio with the Home Depot halftime report will be and go, Joe, Besides, in the targeting called Lighting up social media sorry, Michael, Like junior, you can go and clean up when I just put a pinch attachment. "A new year's Day Bowl six but in bull season and they've been pretty successful. A long football tradition going back to 18 85. Marta back to punt. Gets a short point that's gonna roll inside the 20 yard line before it's down by Georgia. Georgia, thinking that the ball had been touched by Cincinnati runs it into the end zone. It had not been Cash did not touch it. It is down by the bulldog. So Cincinnati will take over on offense behind their quarterback Desmond Ritter. And if he does it again today, throwing for a touchdown, a rushing for a touchdown. That'll be in seven straight games. And if he does that he will match the second longest streak of the last 15 years. Houston's The era King was at Houston at that time. Did it end 11 consecutive games 1st and 10 at the 27 yard line for the bear Cats to start their first drive today? Heard all time meeting. Between Georgia and Cincinnati. Georgia leads it Two to nothing. Staff to the quarterback is back to throw on a rifles, one incomplete to the near side line. And intended. Or Alec Pearce, who was huge in the conference championship game against wholesome like 146 yards on five catches, and he is their big time jump ball players. They're going to give someone opportunities down field. It is going to be out Pierce Nice to see them looking that way early as they get this going. He threw for 17 touchdown passes during the regular season. Jasmine Ritter, the junior out of Louisville, Kentucky. Second down and 10. George Snape. He fires this one complete gets it out to the wide receiver Michael Young is he tried to slam back inside, He's going to pick up eight guards on that catch. Smooth operating right now, Georgia choosing the only rush for at this point. Gonna be very interesting to see how Georgia defensively attacks this group. They believe they've got a matchup advantage up front. Are they willing to let that group right out on its own and give Desmond Ritter time to assess down the field is now they get to a third and short where the quarterback run is what you've got to be King on a key call right away here for Cincinnati in the first quarter, no score third down and three Jackson wide receiver in motion. From left to right. Shotgun, Ritter clapping his hands. There's the snap peas back to throw some pressure on him rolling to his left, and he's going to scamper and go for the first down marker. He's gonna be short of that. She stepped out of bounds. Great. No, it's early in this game, Dave, but especially the statement you're trying to make if your Cincinnati right now it appears as we look at the replay Desmond Ritter just short as he tries to extend the ball with that inside arm, the smart move for the quarterback. They're taking a.

"The snappiest back to throw he's throwing long over the center of the feeling overshot his receiver intended for Fitzpatrick, but incomplete good coverage by the bear cats. This is Cincinnati secondary as a group 37 career interceptions. They know how to go up and get it a great job. They'd drop back in coverage. They only rushed four after showing up here the line of scrimmage and they force a very pivotal punch the first drive for Georgia. Cincinnati has played in 12 Bowl games over the last 15 years, so very active in this time of the year, maybe not a New year's Day Bowl six. But in bull season and they've been pretty successful. "Well, firsthand. Oh, it is to match the intensity that you know Cincinnati is going to bring into this this football game, the Cincinnati playing one of the blue bloods of the sport, you heard coach fickle talking about Georgia as just that. Anytime. A team comes in to play an SEC team, especially one of the elite programs in the in the country, they're going to be ready to play. We have to match that intensity in addition to that, But we have to make Desmond Ritter the bear Cats quarterback. One dimensional if we can Hey, is a great runner of the football throws it well on on top of that A true dual threat have to make a one dimensional have to keep him contained and in the pocket, and when he does try to run the football, we have got to hit him and hit him and hit him. Make sure he feels our presence on then finally established the line of scrimmage in this football game. Defensively, Cincinnati provides a lot of exotic looks a lot of three front type. Look, zone blitz kind of looks where within their zone drops dropping unconventional guys into coverage. You can create confusion the way you minimize that is you go punch him in the mouth, run the football and and get them out of playing that that loose kind of exotic look that creates confusion. We do those things that should be a fun afternoon. I noticed you didn't have cookies on your list of desire. You know, I was gonna bring it up, but I didn't. I didn't want to throw Scott under the bus. But you know, I'll throw him onto the several games this year and I won't bring up the games. But Florida was one of them. You know, Scott wasn't quite ready to play and we don't win the football game. We showed today Scott's job. His job is to bring snacks. And bring cookies We show up today. There's absolutely nothing in the booth and he was like it's a new year. It's a new US and it's Listen. The old US has been working pretty well, Yes, secondary job is to do the play by play of today's game. But okay, that's All right. Thank you. See, Tony Shivani is with us and and changing the 10 or just a bit here, Tony. It's a really A really tough week for the folks with a E W I know it's been a tough couple of weeks. Tragedy. Yeah.
