"We both had background. We we both TUB guys. We both want to win with anything for our team with the same guy we talk all the time. I'm not going to Jim I think his will in ways leading at the can pull up upset and bring Miami to the finals. Wasn't conference I. Bet I bet on on the leg from jump from the. Meant owes me money bet on the clippers. The Lakers I we've never seen it Tim Duncan on steroids with Lebron James, and that's what a D. Years Tim Duncan was great. The best player I played with but Tim Duncan wasn't athletic Tim de Condense shoot threes and Tim Doug didn't put the ball on the floor like Anthony. Davis. Do you know what I mean? So those three things that Tim has great the best pop or other my mind but a deka pass him and Lebron having him on the team that. Dynamic we've never seen. We've Seen Lebron with point guard you want to go. We never seen him with one of the best big man in the League, and that's why they have success. I got them went to the Lakers overheat in the finals. Yeah I. I got legos overheating finals and I don't think I don't think he's going to go maybe five or six games in the finals. Yeah and if I I'm, I'm leaning that direction as well. I'm pretty lean pretty hard that direction as well. I wasn't sure if the Lakers could make it all the way back I wasn't sure you know this is like this team was so many new pieces everything else but the way they're playing right now. I I think and you know look like the nuggets. Both good and bad. They're just happy to be here. Right. There there blue second there loose because nobody expected them to be here that works in their favor but also like that might maybe that moves against them as Lebron it up, turn up another notch in the in the conference finals. Lakers where's you're not gonNA happen to the Lakers is Boston make it to the finals. How so because those young guys not afraid of them they've had success against the Brownie played the run in the in the playoffs they they have something to prove. They're not going back down like I said, they've they've Titanium Dunk on the Braun and the playoffs they didn't has success against the Brown in the play offs and think if they make it to the finals with all those pieces they have with Marcus smart plan where with Kimber I think they have a good chance of beating because they have enough people to throw in the Bron- and have enough scores on that team. It's a it's a nice matchup. Got Some young guys in Boston on step up they got enough violence though a so I I think the worst is Boston making the finals? But. But you can be good for the league how it will be good the League la in Boston back in the finals, it would be great there. There's never a bad time to have laker celtics that is. Gold every time I always say I have no rooting interest in these things I don't root for teams players, anything else I root for stories but also I have really really high regard for Lebron, and that he's doing what he's doing at age thirty five and a half. Soon, to be thirty, six in December. I want to see him get back again I think it'd be incredible to see him at this age with longevity of history of everything. He's accomplished when people thought maybe the door had close. CLEVELAND. Disintegrates he goes to the Lakers he gets hurt and you really starting to wonder and fairly wonder. But to see because he is one of the all time greats one of the two best ever to play the game. Do I want to see him back on that final stage I'd like to see him do it again, you want to see the best of all time. In that moment as many times as you can to appreciate and to see them perform at that level. So if I have, you know like I say, no rooting interest rooting for stories. I think it'd be great to see him in there and I also think I do think they're gonNA. Win that a little tossed up on that Eastern Conference. One I did I did pick I. was smack talking with our Buddy Eric, Newman, yesterday who of course you and I know is a big time Celtics Fan. So the last thing I said before jumping elevator I said heat and seven, but that was mostly just mostly just to annoy you like that. He did it like that. Now it'll. It'll. It'll be great. The way stack has been fantastic before let you go if people are interested in working not necessarily directly with you but working on these issues in participating in this movement, is there any particular organization you think people should try to get plugged into or their where they could donate any any particular ways you think people can channel? This listeners, WANNA participate as a lot of different foundations. Even I have my own but I'm Marie listen I say this whatever foundation decide to donate make sure you know where the money's going yeah. I promote my foundation but I really don't I two because I want people to pick their foundation and to do the homework on where they're donate name on don't donate. Any money and it's a lot of ways you know some people some people can't be on the front lines with me. You know. So what you can do is send donations for food. You know just just just were about trying to find out what people need you know. So it's a million ways to help and nobody says one way to help because we're all. Fighting to get to the same place. So whatever you feel in your heart and whatever, and whatever you decide to donate off what caused the help just make sure that you know directly where this money's going and that is something that you want to do from your heart. Don't let don't do it. 'cause somebody else's doing doing for in from the white always means more. We'll say thank you for that and for for spending the time I. Appreciate it folks remember. Go listen to go subscribe to all the smoke. You can find all the podcast platforms on Youtube as well for the video version first episode dropping tomorrow. September. Seventeenth.

"Right so so Sadaqa still involved obviously because he's doc but but no, he's focused solely on coaching at this point but you think maybe it's time for different voice I mean coaches talk about this too right Larry Bird said this when he took the Pacers job way back in the day like there's an expiration date on us like whatever he said three years, five years something like that. At some point, they start to tune you out I. Think Phil Jackson used to talk about that too sometimes you think that they've maybe I mean, this seems pretty new to dock at least the stars are. But when doc won the championship Yeah Four Hall of Famers. Not Got. A Four Hall of. Fame maybe three maybe three wish it I don't know about. Alright. Now he stuff together but Lou Williams, definitely hall of Famer. And who is deputy but I think. For coastal blow to multiple three, one lead with with multiple teams. It's it has to say something about the coach I know play, but he's the only coast that's blown three one. I'm just speaking bags. That's that's a it's a tough one to have on your resume. But Stack you mentioned right off the top hates the bubble anybody can win and there's more comebacks and everything else and I think there's a lot to that for sure. Do would we have just seen a different outcome if this had been at staples center or this has been a normal series a normal It'll be how it's different game. If you've got eighty thousand clips, fans hollering guys on the court and it's a lot of guys that can make shots with nobody knew Jim they can't hit a house if it was in the kitchen. If it's thirty thousand people in the arena and and some of some of your best shooters can make shots in the first quarter. We can't make them in a awkward because there tough shot. So it's totally different and is more evil landfill in the book. You know having those fans screaming and having to travel you know playing, go get stuff lied to hotel guests to eat all that stuff comes into effect. You know whether you're tired legs build if you will out too much like all that stuff matters but the bubble erases all that and everybody's GonNa play on even plant bill and you see guys has been working on a game during the break you. See guys who came in and taking the series and they the guys, the Shining Jimmy, Butler Murray all guys you saw them working during the break especially Jimmy Butler and it's starting to pay off for this guy. I wondered when they started this thing stack I wondered like how much of the of the fact that there is no, there are no fans. There's no travel there's no no home advantage no road. disadvantaged. Everything that goes into it like we see more upsets as a result in somebody. Mark Mark Stein has had the stat last night on twitter just about like the number of home games that have been lost quote Unquote Home Games right? The designated home team has lost more often in the bubble but we've until last night we haven't really seen I. Don't feel like a true upset like is you? Know I- Miami over Milwaukee. Obviously is an upset too but one I think Milwaukee was a little overrated and Miami was definitely underrated like that one did not shock me. But that would obviously goes down and technically as as as a series upset wh one, he goes down team with the best record goes down in the second round but I think there's actually been less volatility than I thought there might be. So it's interesting i. mean maybe the nuggets are just that good. Maybe we just been you know. And and the Clippers had a choppy seas in these guys were rarely together. Kawais. Lone. Managing Paul Miss Time with injuries. You know maybe in fairness the full context is they didn't have time to fully integrate get their chemistry right but you know no one's GonNa care about any of that. Of course, it's you know losses a loss, and this is a pretty bad one they're lucky that begins wasn't in Denver. The first five minutes of the game. You cannot breed run up and down the court. They always have the advantage of the first five minutes they they used to that. And so they used to you an above not. Yeah. So maybe gone seven regardless. Maybe maybe this happens regardless. So you know. We. You don't shy away from anything. I'm not shy away from anything. So how about this are we still sleeping on Denver because they're star is a big kind of goofy looking white guy from. Europe. Are we still not giving proper respects to the European player because that's that that stereotype started? Twenty seven years ago we start seeing a bigger a big influx and. I feel like there is still a little of that. Even Luca Donncha not necessarily being regarded as highly as you probably should have in the draft should number one. Is Do you think that's still there? So people who don't know the Game Yokich is the best big man in a game enemy. Luca's top ten in a game to me I can. I can tell you something that allow people don't know when the when the marriage lost and a lot of guys would counter type pigging reloaded Jonah Pumpkin, and trying to take him out his game. You know be real physical with him I text recall elected game and I said, tell Lucas. has made history by becoming the best players in the league, and also I got his back if he ever needed to call them because because a lot of times when guys do that two guys like Luca, they're letting them know you're too good for me to guard you. So I have to try to stop you another ways. But when you have a guy like Luca and Rick Carlisle came out a couple of weeks said they need to enforce them they need a top team someone guys start to pick on Lucas like that. You gotTa have their battering to step in and did that and Luca needs that because he's going to be greatness legal longtime. He Breaking Michael Jordan Lebron's records already and some categories. So I'm a big Fan. I. I I look as high as anybody but the people who think like that Lucan Yokich they don't know nothing about basketball. Yeah. No. Well said well said I. do think the impression is still there I think and I don't think it matters who is speaking whether it's media or players black white otherwise I just think that everybody's got a little bit ingrained in their heads still that we're still little suspect of white European player and it's it's one of those things I think that that stereotype or the idea of being soft or this and that it just endures Rwanda and Lucas here in state. And so and so is Yokich of course, the Yoga's the best big man in the game right now no question. Let's last thing on the on the bubble then we got. Nuggets Lakers starting Friday. And heats up one on Boston who you got in each. Game so I I think Boston will come on figuring out actually for the series. Let's US predict series but. For series, I'm going Jimmy Butler if if you look. We, we wanted to saying we the same guy..

"Is not gonna be done just like you said from one league, it's is going to. be every race everybody's standing together to get this done in like Matt said. Where we find what we might not ever see, but we can all come together every race together we'll get equality but then it's a lot of people that in our own skin. That don't want equality. So you gotta remember we find some people to you know so I. Think when when everybody from Lufkin stand together. Then Dass, when asked what changes started happening with NBA's during you can't ask them to do more because you can't put everything on their shoulders. They're doing a greater. Yeah I mean I definitely think the NBA showed their power i. think it was a spur of the moment thing when they decided not to play and they didn't really have a necessary plan just knew was in their backyard in their best interests to react. But like you said, Howard I think he was a domino effect when we saw the. Predominantly White Sport in baseball follow their legal a and I know in the MLS, not predominantly black sign up they also all the leave, the WNBA, the NFL. So we showed our strength. Now we just have to have a plan moving forward and and it has to be United Landon. It can't just be basketball tends to be sports and all of us, but I think that athletes in former athletes. were up to the task of doing our part. You know me personally I would like to see the NBA owners do more I think it's great that they put three hundred million into the best thirty billionaire. So you'd think about three hundred million is what maybe one at one and a half of the players they pace of in actuality wasn't really that much I would. Like to see these owners, they've had their mouths close but their money where their mouth is, you don't WanNa talk but some money where your mouth is, you know I would like to see every owner come up with one hundred, million dollars, streets team and throw that into a hot. So then you got three, hundred, three, hundred, million, our Salami million says a lot of millions. Thirty. Three billion right. So what else? Whatever the situation may not I think that's he can really make effect and then I think they need to late whips. So often we see money you know Jordan is donate missed nineteen donate. Where does that actual money? Go? You know so I, think they need to have someone who's in charge of the money it is. It is in cities they say these programs really doing we're looking forward to doing instead of just own into. These big names because sometimes these big names are leaving twinning thing with this I really think they need really need to own down hire someone in really work with these communities that they're taking so much money trump. You know if you think about it, all these arenas are in cities and most of these cities are minorities cities that know that the poppy line is is where it is. You know so people are planning their whole. Month budget around taking their family to football game to a basketball game. So I think that's where we really need to start. Really try to start giving back to be cities and really make sure that this money is allocated in a proper and improper areas. Now known, you make, you make a point, the three, hundred, million sounds, and it's a big number three, hundred, million over ten years. So thirty, million, a year, thirty owners, it's a million per owner and not all of them are billionaires, but a lot of them are for them to kind of a drop in the bucket. I don't want to minimize a million dollars is out of money, but you know perspective is is important there to. You not you alluded to team owners and what they could or should be doing a lot made statements in the wake of George Floyd's death, a lot of made statements along the way, and some of them have done much much more. Some taking action pushed a lot more money beyond the other pot we were talking about but. Let's be real. Some of these owners have been supporting this president who has. Everything possible to oppose the black lives matter movement to oppose police reforms to oppose everything that we're discussing in terms of racial justice. I don't know if there's an answer on this one, but I'm just GonNa, throw it to you anyway I'm just curious. How how do we? How do we reconcile these things? A league that says it strong standing with you on these issues and pledging money and putting out statements. But at the same time, some of their owners are very much backing a president who's absolutely absolutely post. Yeah no I it's a tough situation because like you said, they're standing on the opposite side of the court. And I think that's what we need now is beginning to understand the same side of our in the reason why people at you know you've got money you're being baby you're winer your crybaby. You're this you're that we're one injury away or when bad move from being a statistic you know we're one move away from Florida Orlando. Casteel will in the list goes on from people didn't make it out so we were fortunate to make it out. So now it's our honor our jobs to speak for those who don't have the platform and not have the opportunity to speak. So I think you made a great point I mean not only in football but are not invested of football particularly these owners. Opposite in what we're looking for. You know so I don't know if there is an answer I know this the owners club is using a good old boys club professional sports in. These, these owners Late sixties seventies eighties. And just the way they are. Now there's no changing someone who's been setting their mind. There's no change in that Jerry? Jones Jerry. Jones is one of the most outspoken owners in the history of sports and he's been quite as a church bells because we know what he's about united means. So there's no changing guys that are set in their way than I don't expect them to change. So to answer your question I, don't know the answer but I know that you know in the next ten fifteen is there's going to be a new wave runners that are hopefully more receptive and more..

"Jumping out of airplanes talking about doing engines. You've got kids committee. Different. Different shirts and having a mom walk. Stadium. All the Brian. News was as a young man. Become a trendsetter slick furthermore. This is why you disappointed me. This is why I'm this I'm heartbroken. Let's here because you know better than to act a fan you know. How fans are you? The athlete you only me everything you only exist as an athlete because I exist, so I deserve everything Lebron. Nobody nothing. was out there, slaving for the cast slaving dropping twenty-five if it wasn't twenty seven point straight against the Detroit Pistons and Phil, not getting so hell slick slink. How can you be mad at Lebron for making a decision capital? Capital D. or lower case. Please let them. Again. It's not a matter that he did it. It's the way that he did it, but he had a show I. Don't have a problem that he had a show that he had a show in Greenwich at the boys and Girls Club going for this cheesy GonNa tug at your heart. We're GONNA give a million dollars. It just it again. It was how he did it. He could have done it in a different way where people didn't revile him for making the choice I again I have no problem and for fans who think that I mean number one look. He had a variety of ways. He had a lot of things. Go in business. Wise that he was allowed, he was able to cultivate because he was the hometown kid from Cleveland. He was playing that. That innocent, a I'm a kid from Akron I want to win it from my hometown team. That was a big part of his commercial success. Any threw that all away by the way he went to Miami. We built it back up, but he lost something very critical there. He didn't know why people loved him. And that was it and when he made the move to Miami, it became an entire yet. There was an entire image change for him. He went to Miami, and he left Cleveland, because he knew at that time he couldn't maintain his status without winning a championship and he was convinced it wasn't going to happen in Cleveland. I understand that I. appreciate that and I think fans would have understood that, too, but that's not the way that he approached it because he had the clippers and the nets it keep in mind. He had six teams that he was toying with at that time and number, those had nothing to do with winning a championship world. Slick I'm making the decision to take.

"When Patrick, Mahomes Balding, what we've seen historically with quarterbacks, that ball is teams forget. It wasn't just the quarterback that got them there. Thinking about the seahawks Russell Wilson. He was balling. He was balling, but always you lose sherm. All of a sudden you lose, Earl. You start to lose some of them. Big Pieces think about. Patrick Mahomes he was balling. He is bowling, but. But what happens if you lose tyree Kale, 'cause, ask any defensive back in the National Football League Tyreek Hill is an impossible cover. Travis Kelsey a top three tight end in the league, overall a top to pass catching tight in what been when you start to forget, it's not all about the quarterback I do think Patrick. Mahomes is a man, but I'm also reminiscent of this point. Aaron Rodgers. He really started his career right around two thousand and eight by two thousand ten, A. Rod in one Super Bowl, two, thousand, nine, two, thousand ten, he had a top ten deepened. When you think you had a top ten defense again after winning a super bowl twenty ten, not until this past season low, I say that to say after you win, you want with a Rod. He's still young. He's about to win. Three four, five more super bowls, one of the greatest arm talents. The NFL has ever seen. They forgot to put pieces around him even to the point of drafting a quarterback this year when the dude has been begging for pizzas for the last five years. I, think cheese have to be mindful and Patrick Mahomes he trust because history says otherwise history says otherwise yeah, man, Iago, going to talk about more food because killing the I'm. Back from. Eighty funny, due to University of Texas. Somebody ran out of money I. Don't know how to happen. Here, we go. Home Full trust full.

"Speak for yourself presented by Hyundai Marcellus Wiley here. My Man Emmanuel Marlboro Air Boat or both. I could see it in your eyes. Today does get started right now with the. Jackson who was facing some major blowback after eagles receiver posted what he believed were quote from Adolf Hitler that promoted vicious anti Semitic stereotypes about Jews secretly controlling the world quotes actually turned out to be fake and Jackson has since apologized claiming it was a mistake and he doesn't paint anymore. Eagles are figuring out how to handle the situation so auto. What do you think Eagles should do here? And this is a topic Marcellus. Do we had to address to the point where I called the producers and said a move this to the top of the show, because we would both be remiss if we were to have our own platforms where we talk about racial reconciliation, but then when it comes time to talking about prejudice that may not directly affect us. We sweep it under the rug. Reach, so let's just take it head on. Ignorance is no longer acceptable in any shape in any form of any kind. Ignorance is no longer and excuse. Ignorance may be an explanation. Ignorance is not an excuse when I think about the Sean Jackson. And what does Shawn Jackson did? Your two grown. You're too old, and you should be too educated to make these type of offensive mistakes again. You should be too educated to make these type of mistakes now. I trust the Sean Jackson to beat me on a go round all day. I trust the Sean Jackson's knowledge of the doctrine of NFL playbook, but do I trust the Sean. Jackson's theology of an Old Testament not so much and not so fast, but I wanna to do something Bro because we have to talk about intense. Talk about intention. There's a difference between first degree murder, which is premeditated, second degree murder, which may be a heat of passion and involuntary manslaughter, which was an incidental yet still unlawful at when I think about the Sean, Jackson and what he did. I relate that to involuntary manslaughter, because I don't think the Sean Jackson meant to offend anybody I don't think the Sean Jackson was knowledgeable about exactly what he was doing, but the problem is. He still did it, and that is unacceptable. To the point there we go, let's get to the point. For done with cancel culture. Are we gonna go I'm done with Manda Sean Jackson. What did he just say? Be Done with them? Because what canceled culture doesn't do more us. It doesn't educate, and it doesn't allow room for growth I received an email. Two weeks ago, I started this show called uncomfortable conversations with a blast show. Major. Even email from this woman in Canada and you said Emanuel thanks so much for these episodes you started I've never been able to have conversations like these because I. "Of the idea, but then again. You know gone through my job among all. Let the city now. Doesn't matter the fact that Don't like that idea and. I. Don't think he's going to send if another because I know I'm GonNa, do to why things on no. I. Don't ever do anything I'll only played video games. I'm always all I don't want them, but then again I don't trust. Those are the guys. To do the same so. Said I do my job. All right that was six or superstar Joel NBA champion Kendrick Perkins joining us now. Stephen, a with you here, obviously Joel's concern. You heard him there. He's concerned about the restart heading to Orlando and he said all stay home. I'M GONNA play video games I'm. GonNa keep lockdown, but I don't know about the rest of the other guys that that's his main issue. How sympathetic are you to EMBIID's beads concerns? Or not sympathetic to it because they got a job to do, and we know what. Tom It is, but secondly and more importantly is because I don't necessarily fully believe Joel embiid when he says he's going to be doing is sitting around playing video games really. Really. I'm not buying that not one bit, if y'all recall. The Philadelphia Seventy sixers Max Kendrick. Put me up on the screen with them. Police I want to see their faces when I'm talking to them when I say this plane. John Recall. At the Toronto Raptors beat the seventy sixes in the playoffs last year in that game seven. and. Let it. Had that ball bounce around four times before fell through the net. What did we see Joel Embiid? Do what we saw was scroll to the locker room. He was tearful Iheart went out to him because he fought valiantly. And what have you but who was waiting there for I believe that was his girl now I'm not knocking. You understand all opt molly reason and bringing that up to say you one alone Toronto I. Don't think you'll be alone in. ORLANDO. That's all I'm trying to say that's the only point is say. Catching. Toronto you ain't going to be alone at all. So give me no crap about some video games I. DON'T WANNA. Hear that he won't be there. That's so body else. Go beat here and they set be now. Having said all of that. Joel and beat. On Him. Ben Simmons. I expect to be ready unhealthy, but the jumpers still suspect to buy as Harrison's been balling out this year, but there's no jj redick no Jimmy Butler. So what's the one thing to offset that? And that is the greatness of Joel and be who is a great big man. In the NBA, his footwork is hands his ability to put the ball in the hole defend. We know what he can do. I think they'll be fine, but don't give me nothing about no video game like you some eleven year old. That's just GonNa Loved Games stop that. We Ain't mine. I am very surprised US Stephen, A. Because. You were sitting here about a week or two ago and I think it was the first segment of the show talking about with the NBA bubble. The one thing that you don't trust is you don't think a lot of these guys want to be. Shall we say alone for that long, right? What's say during a denic? CETERA etcetera, all envied is saying you're focusing on, and he's not telling the truth. That's hypocritical that. You're not focusing on his message. Like let's say he is being real and saying look I'm not planning on doing anything in there I've got I'm going to keep a low profile. But what about everybody else or even? Let's say he's saying. Yeah, I know me. I know what I'm going to be up to, but so is everyone else. The point is he's. He's basically reiterating the point that you made on this show week or two ago. He's saying the problem is the reason I. Don't WanNa do this is i. don't trust the behavior of NBA players during a pandemic to not well, let's put it this way properly. Socially Distance Right. That's what it that's why that was your point. You're getting caught up on him. Is Still. Whoever? Max Listen. I don't WanNa hear that man. Look, do you? WanNa Hoop or not? I don't none of the other contenders complain. Complain he said Tech Ball I. Don't hear the broad Xavier. Limit Complain I. Don't hear Jason. TATUM ME Yannis. Complain the raptors big down to weeks in Florida and all they talk about how they going to try to defend championship I. Don't see them complain there by the way they got a tournament. That's going on right now. In Cleveland Ohio and I'm pretty sure those guys are not going to be in the dollar bubble. Great situation, they not complaining. They don't know hoop. I don't WanNa yell to me. This is just an excuse. Me Get knocked out. This is going to be excused. Because superstar was halfway in his milk, wasn't there? Playing, it, I don't know I don't like that idea McCoy. Who I hear that Madison Billion dollar public. All like Patrick Beverley say tech you. Can't catch. Perkins can't Perkins Max Kellerman. I would just like to stay for the record. That Max I think you're slightly misrepresenting. "Surprise, the now have billion dollar man and reigning Super Bowl. MVP is secure in the number. One Spot, a couple of fell Subaru winners are behind. Mahomes Russell Wilson. At number two Aaron Rodgers at three Shawn Watson, for drew brees around the top side, no Lamar or TB twelve in the high five. Look, WHO's here? Marcus Spears joining the debate desk Marcus. This is a change Europe I this time, so let me ask you. This should Lamar Jackson. Be ranked ahead of that bad man that Stephen Love so dearly. One hundred percent he should and I. Know what the argue. What would be for Aaron Rodgers, but the bottom line? Is We looking at Lamar Jackson and what he's doing, and it's as good as anybody. Only two people have ahead of him. Is Patrick Mahomes in Russell Wilson? There will be all of these these questions and concerns about Ken Lamar Jackson. Throw the football. Yes, he led the League in completion percentage has he had bad offensive performances or not? Not Lamar Jackson esque performances in the playoffs absolutely, but he's twenty three years old, and he has time to get better at all of the offenses of his game. The bottom line is this. People make an argument against Lamar Jackson because he's a phenomenal runner with the football since. He rushed for twelve hundred yards last year. He's with an organization that's invested in this talent. He three thirty six touchdowns. Might I add. Only six picks last year as well so when we start having this conversation about who's the better quarterback? Who Do you want on your team? Lamar Jackson this third from me. Nobody is going to change that Aaron. Rodgers lose a thirteen and three teen, and I know what Stephen well look at the received was that he had all of this this the bad man sentiment that you've had for so long Stephen. A Smith was not the bad man this year and I. Don't think he'll be the bad mag on forward. When you put it in comparison to Lamar. Jackson Lamar Jackson three for me. That's it. You know what I just want to say. Congratulations to you, I mean. Listen y'all get to y'all get to live off of apparently y'all Janet, Jackson fans, and we ain't GonNa hate or what have you done for me lately? We all know what Janna jets. Wages, but in the end here's what it comes down to. I'm looking at resume and I'm looking at that. Combined with the situation Amara's has to work. With Amer Raja's has been in eighteen playoff games. He has one of them. He is a super bowl champion. The numbers that he puts forth in the regular season consistent with what he does. End Up, polcice it, and then you look at Lamar Jackson, respect and love to him. He's a future superstar. He's definitely box office because of. Of his ability to run the football, but we all know who can't come close to flinging football. The weight at Aaron Rodgers can fling night football. It just call it what it is. I'm not saying he won't be able to eventually obviously a strong up considerably younger, but when you talk about playing the quarterback position to me, the number one ability is not to run the football. It's the throat of football. I don't give a damn about the sixty six completion, the thirty one hundred. Thirty six touchdowns I'm thinking about and ability to fling the football. Come both east and what has happened. We saw against the charges. It was God awful. We saw him last year. Get tight office. You look at up and he came on a little bit still all forty eight percent completion percentage of one playoff game fifty two percent, the other come on man. There's levels to this and I understand and Lamar Jackson nominal. Phenomenal run out of football, phenomenal player, game, changer, suture superstar, but when it comes to the quarterback position, simply the ability to step back and fling that Dan Football. Stop it Marcus. Stop it! You know what I'm going to say I don't even think he. Still. Floors Max. I don't think you need to break it down that way. Well compartmentalize. He can run better. He can throw better. Let's see who's better, you know, quarterback record a Lotta Times. It's unfair for a quarterback Lamar Jackson's case. I think it's quite fair because they built the whole team around him. The offense is built around him so if he does his thing. The team has a good chance to win if he doesn't. They have a good chance to lose in the regular season. Do you know what his quarterback record is like his team's record in games, he starts. Nine hundred and three now right the two losses and one loss year before and a half season nineteen wins three losses in twenty two starts. And in the playoffs. It's too so like I'm sorry to oversimplify for people well, it's a team game and data, but if you almost never lose in the regular season, and then when you're needed the most, you haven't yet one in a small sample size. I can't put you in the top three. Lamar Jackson Age right I mean in terms of where he's headed. You could say well. He's out of the pocket a lot. He might get banged up. You can't trust it long term, but that I can flip that around and say but his passing. She continue to improve so right like I'm not even talking about where he's going. That's hard to say, but let's assume it's still at MVP level, but that's not wordy is right now when you need him the most. He's an excellent quarterback who hasn't gotten it done in the playoffs. I can't put them ahead of Patrick Mahomes. Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers who are excellent quarterbacks who have gotten it all the way done in the playoffs Marcus. Swag ucare this. Before we go on before I come to the Golden. Rogers Aaron Rogers has started. One hundred and seventy four games in his career. His record is one, thirteen, sixty and one. He is fifty three games over five hundred. I'm just saying. hops, see see this is this is the mistake both of you are making. y'All, want me to argue if Aaron Rodgers is still good I'm not arguing that with you. I'm telling Y'all I'm taking the more Jackson over Aaron Rodgers now. There are some things and reasons why I'm doing net. A big part of it is what Lamar Jackson does that Aaron Rodgers can't do and what he cannot do is create plays better than Lamar Jackson when we're talking about trajectory. Were We talk about history? When we talk about all of these things that argument would be based off of if I'm looking at. At a football game based off of what I just saw, maybe as recently bias. Maybe you can tell me whatever it is I know the last person that I saw play football out of Air Rogers and Lamar Jackson I'm taking Lamar Jackson that's the I'm taking. I saw Rajas in the playoffs saw play well. I saw in Rogers. Play well have seen him play well been on the field where he's played well enough to beat me. I don't WanNa play Lamar more questions compared to Iraq right now. No, we went. Out and. Started running out of time I got a couple of. About I got A. Couple of plane prolific board. What. More fish if I got a couple of questions here if you're a wide receiver. WHO. Throwing you the football. A Rogers. If, thank you number two question number two if you are defensive player. Come playoff time. And The more. And.

"Getting back to the situation. What you guys in your condition? It's one thing to see the video. The video is bad enough, but can you give us details about what kind of conditions that y'all have actually been subjected to? Can you be specific with it? I mean one show was over rug, and it looked like stuff was crawling under the rug or whatever the case may be. What exactly a y'all dealing with specifically? I mean the videos that we're taking that. Kayla posted were videos that I took and it was you know those are? That was the laundry room that was there that we're supposed to us. And that was underneath my bed, and you know you saw St. Louis Post yesterday. The bug traps ended the mattresses and it's just like why. Yes, that's the reality of the specific. Parts that were saying in. It's not all of the villa's. It's not all of the the housing accommodations that are here. you know you have players that are in really nice villas, and that's what they're going to be moving us, too. But Yeah, you know for me. I'm just like you wouldn't come stay here. This you know this should have been cleaned like if you walked in. This is how it should have been cleaned beforehand like I should have to come in and take a video to show to get to get a change, and whether that's on img or whether that's on. Our W leadership, but that's that those kind of details should have been taken care of and you know like I said they have. Remedy. The situation we went in yesterday in the laundry was cleaned up You know they're moving players that have asked to be moved, but you know we just? We have to do better in and and that comes from. People understanding people investing in the League. Coverage being about the good things that are going on coverage about US playing games. You know having these type of conversations in these types of platforms to show the actual good. That's happening in the WNBA. Because then that's when changes are going to be made, and then these type of situations won't happen again in the future. No question and it is unacceptable and it's unfortunate that we have to see video for there to be an uproar and change, we see the same issue with domestic violence, and we see the same issue, clearly with black men, being killed black men and women at the hands of police. At least one question I wanted to ask you hear what more can the NBA players do to support the WNBA? I mean. You know they're doing a good job of speaking up and vouching for us and supporting us But. It's not the NBA players job to invest in us as WNBA players you know they while? Yes, they recognize that you know we are equals in a sense of we are all playing at the highest level possible as athletes you know it comes from investment of our league sponsors and of media. You know what I mean. There's seven percent of media. Coverage is on Women's sports. How can how can somebody see us and investment as if they don't see us? You know what I mean, so it stuff like that you know being put in place of making sure there's more wnba games on prime time. Sports Channels you know more people coming to the Games, and and we've seen gear sell out. Online so when people say that it's you know that nobody knows about the Wnba they do. They're buying. Everybody's here. They're selling out jerseys and their favorite players that they followed since college, so it's just about having that platform and having more coverage and you know it starts with with conversations in platforms like being here on the first take. And and conversations that you're starting, and you continue to speak up about these these issues that matter so much Alicia so wonderful to have you on the program I hope we talk to you again soon. Please stay safe out there in Orlando and invest luck in your games. Thank you can up little one knows life doesn't alert you about your credit card. "Elsewhere, although some wnba players had positive reviews of bubble accommodations video surfaced unsanitary conditions where some players were living this from our Kayla Johnson here at ESPN, there were reports of road and traps bedbugs in. That didn't drain among other things inside the logic. IMG Academy One of three housing sites for players in Bradenton Florida now WNBA. Executive Director Terry Jackson told ESPN's Graham Hayes that a few players in the lodge asked to be relocated in those requests were met on that note. I'm thrilled to bring in Seattle Storms Alicia Clark. Alicia, thank you so much for taking time to be with us this morning and I wanNA dive. Dive right into these living conditions now. I spoke with Kayla Johnson prior to this interview and she had also told me that the WNBA players flew commercial which I found concerning down to the bubble, and also that it's not just wnba players in this lodge. There's other people staying there as well which also brings up concerns for the player safety. Let's start with this. How would you describe the conditions when you arrived? I, hi, thank you for having me You know it's. It's kind of a weird situation because you know. PEOPLE WANNA only cover. The WB things were doing when it's something that's wrong, and while yes, coming into the bubble coming down here to am GDP seeing the laundry room and things underneath our bed and the problems that we had were completely unacceptable from any standard, but you know the crazy thing is not all living situations here. Not all the players are in situations like this, so the fact that there are. Better, accommodations this just like. Why was this even an option? These, thank you for being on the show I was told that after I mentioned something about this yesterday all of a sudden, there was a zoom call, and then after that lodging and food issues have improved over the last twenty four hours, or so I want to know. Is there any truth to that whatsoever and how comfortable you guys feeling at this particular moment in time? Yeah you know once we. Raised our concerns and to the league with you know telling them that. This was unacceptable you know. They did their part in trying to remedy the situation and you know it has been. We know the players that have asked to be relocated have but the point is that it shouldn't even have to come to a video being posted or you guys saying something for it to be done, it should have been done beforehand. All things considered at this moment. How do you feel about living in playing in the bubble? I mean for anybody. This situation isn't ideal. You know and it's not going to be perfect. We understand that. But you know just trying to make the best of it. We all you know obviously are here for a reason we want. This is a completely new situation for the WNBA having all twelve teams in one place so it'll give us opportunities to come together as you know players to talk about ways that we can help with social justice, and you know how we want to continue to progress the league so that it is here for another twenty years for younger girls to be able to play in and. That's something even talking about the situation right now is just. Holding them accountable and helping, push that envelope for and so the League is here for another twenty years. At least you I want to get your perspective on another issue regarding the WNBA. We have you here, so Atlanta Dream Co, owner Kelly Leffler who is also the junior US senator for Georgia she sent a letter to Wnba, Commissioner Cathy Engelbert expressing her opposition to black lives matter movement in response to the League approving the Fray. She displayed prominently on its court. So here's an excerpt from Leffler. Letter to WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, I obtained by the Atlanta Journal constitution quote the truth is. We need less not more politics in sports in a time when polarizing politics. As divisive as ever, sports has the power to be a unifying antidote in now more than ever, we should the united in our goal to remove politics from sports, the lives of each and every African American matter, and there's no debating the fact that there's no place for racism in our country, however I adamantly oppose the black lives matter political movement now many notable wnba players including yourself have asked the commissioner to remove Leffler as co owner of the dream. Why is it important to you into the other players for the League to really take action on this issue? It's important because eighty percent of the WNBA is black. You know what I mean to have a co owner that you know her beliefs and what she thinks directly affects the majority of the players in the League is unacceptable you know for us? We want as WNBA. Inclusion you know, we are about equality and you always. You're constantly seeing WNBA players at the front of Social Justice Social Justice Causes. Fighting for what's right and so have. A part of our league owning a team. You know that opposes the. Equality of black lives just doesn't. It doesn't make sense and she needs to go because you have players on your team that are sitting out this year to make a difference and do things in their community for social justice, but yet your your beliefs in your comments are directly oppressing what they're trying to accomplish, so we need. We need people in leadership positions that are trying to help push that that message for and helped. Push that change for and not keep it the same. Incidentally. Did Not win. Win. The Governor to two quick. What? She, was she never? The junior senator was appointed by the governor. There's a special election coming up November. Third for Kelly Waffler seat, she was appointed and never won an election to become US senator. Jeff Okay well first of all what I'd like to say what I'd like to say about her that they said something along the lines of removing her from day to day. That's not enough when when when players in the League asking how to be removed as an owner for a team number, one and number two I don't WanNa. Hear any politicians saying that sports should be. Politics shouldn't be a part of sports when they say they have nothing to say when the president of the United States comments about sports all the time now let me ask you this leisure. Let me ask you this..

"Like that. You know how many papers we ran. Of course, it didn't feel the need to hire black columnists because there. There was a white person in there that ingratiated themselves enough with the black community where the black community received them in a favorable factor. So why do we need it? We already got black. Folks support and stuff like that. These are the kinds of things that transpired where in on national television right now we worked for ESPN and I'm telling you there are people within. Within the walls of ESPN where we work that are happy. We're having this discussion. Do you know why so we can get off the subject of racial inequality? We can get off the subject of Rachel oppression. We don't want to discuss that. What did White folks say when George Floyd got murdered, and then the protests and the riots started taking place. We need to listen. We need to show that we hear you. We need to get where you're coming from, and we need to be more receptive to having this conversation, but in the walls of this company, some people under lakes that sit up there and look at this show and resist somebody like me or you. Molly and they sit up there and they have a problem with the I'm telling you they didn't want. Want us. They want us to continue talking about that. Let's talk about this. Because this is about the Jewish community. This is about the transgression of a black man. This is about people co-signing nets, and as a result we get to veer away from the subject of Rachel Preston Racial inequality. We don't have to deal with that now. "Of white people were involved in the slave trade that includes. There are such things as Jewish slum Lords Stephen that is true, and just as there are Jews, do benefit from white privilege in this country white. No question, I'm one of them. However Jews were also disproportionately represented in the civil rights struggle disproportionately represented in the civil rights. WHAT THE CIVIL RIGHTS STRUGGLE! Among, white people as a matter of fact, Goodman Schwarzer and Jamie Right Mississippi burning. Two of them were Jewish because they were going down registering black people to vote and like so so so it's not that you deny certain aspects of your culture's history. It's that you don't you try to correct those celebrate the good stuff that's this goes for every culture, but as far as Steven Johnson is concerned, referring to the Sean Jackson Social Media Posts Stephen. None of that is true. It's simply false, and if you think it's true, you're wrong. A lot of people's debate is when I say susceptible to low quality information, lacking of formal education people will do things like take religious texts as history books. Books. They're not history books. There's some time some history interreligious tax, but they're not history books, and and and this kind of and if you do not that the information carefully, you can believe something that either appeals to your kind of confirmation, bias or kind of sounds right to you because you don't have that information and say well. That's the truth, but it's not Stephen Jackson thinks that what the Sean Jackson quoted is true. He's wrong. Let me. Let me break down. Let me let me let me let me try to put it in simple to a Stephen Jackson for example, you know black folks will make an a lot of noise about address, racial inequality and racial oppression and Affirmative action policies were born because of that okay. Who's been the biggest benefactors the biggest beneficiaries of affirmative action? It's white women. Do Your homework throughout history. It's white women that have been the greatest beneficiaries of affirmative action is certainly hasn't been black folks. That's number one, and why do I bring something like that Max? Because you know whether the newspaper industry I recall when I. I was in pursuit of being general sports.

He posted meanwhile a since deleted video former NBA player Steven Jackson, said the following about to Sean. Jackson's post so i. just read a statement that the Philadelphia Eagles posted regarding Sean Jackson's comments. He was trying to educate himself. Educate people any speaking the truth, right? He speaking the truth, you know he didn't hate anybody, but he speaking the truth, the facts that he knows and he tries to educate others, but y'all. Don't want us to educate ourselves. NBA. NBA Champion Stephen. Jackson has been a voice for racial equality since the death of his dear friend rest in peace to George. Floyd Stephen will start with you here and let me just say that it's an honor to be part of this show, and you guys did an exceptional job on his last segment and I appreciate the dialogue that we're able to have here on I taken that we don't shy away from these issues Stephen. You're up first. What's your reaction to Steven Jackson doubling down on Deshaun Jackson's comments? Over the last few weeks. The most difficult subject I've had to broach is is anything regarding Stephen Jackson. Why because I'm very fond of Oh my God. Love Him. He's a he's a real brother. True authentic to his core, and I got so much respect for him and George Floyd was his friend, and so I understand the emotions that come. With him and this particular day in time. And how you know how the fervor that comes within, and how passionate he is about these subjects now more so than at any other time that I can recall in his career Stephen Jackson's a good brother, but I've disagreed with him a couple of times over the last few weeks. And I disagree with him today. First of all, he needs to understand something. What truth are you talking about? Kid elaborate of because the Jewish community is saying that. The show Jackson said is not true. and. He was talking about them. So what truth you're talking about? That's number one but number two more importantly, and this is where it gets deep for me Max. I think that Steven Jackson his passion and his heart is in the right place. But he's veering away from what ultimate goal is. George Floyd. Had this white cop keep his knee on his neck for eight minutes and forty six seconds for the last two plus minutes, there was no response from George Floyd up police officer. According to reports actually told that cop that and aqap still wouldn't kid. His feet offer George Floyd's neck. As a result, we see what has happened in our society today, so we've gone from George Floyd getting choked to death essentially. Two statues. Be Torn down. To tweets. But all along the way when we talk about these things in the symbolic gestures that have come along with it I, ultimate goal of really creating change to address racial oppression, racial inequality, police brutality, and those things fall by the wayside, because these kind of things allow folks, particularly white folks. To have something that struck us from. What's really going on because I? Got News for you even though you might have a lighter. pigmentation the Jewish community, not the white community. The Jewish community is the one that had to endure the Holocaust what we talk about six million Jews murdered by that devil. Adolf Hitler that white people that was murdered old with. Joe. It's folks so from a categorical perspective. It's two different two different groups. Okay, what we're talking about race, it'll price of racial inequality yacht. We're talking about what's happening in its nation. This nation now we might sit up there and look at the Jewish community and Max. You have educated me about that. Because the perception was Jewish folk, stick together and obviously incredibly a power to stuff like that and you as I'm sure you will do again had to educate me about things that go on in the US community, and how folks feel about those things and I stand back because I'm not Jewish. But I can tell you this when we sit there. A lot of people in the black community respected Jewish community because the perception of your being together and coming together and galvanizing to address certain issues is what we believe as a community, we should do a better job of, but who is that against its against white folks in positions of power. Exercised racial oppression, racial inequality and things of that nature. If you're Steven, Jackson, if you are others particularly in this moment of time. That's what I was supposed to be focused on. But here we are talking about some post on instagram and Steven Jackson validating it through his eyes, and through his lands, and we're talking about that instead of Steven Jackson. Himself has said he wants us to focus on, and so now as a result. What are we going to be talking about? We're talking about Adolf Hitler we're GONNA be talking about being educated about the Holocaust and the Jewish community in Jewish history. We're GONNA. Be Talking about those things. Instead of issues that directly involve us. As black people I'm sure that was a Stephen Jackson's go. I'm sure that was a discharge Jackson's go. But it happened and now what happens if another we're GONNA. Sit Up and talk if another study these other things. If another commissioner. Experience depression or marginalization or discrimination in various ways. Get some of what you would call. The shrapnel like becomes some collateral damage in our kind of culture war right now, and the light shone upon the plight of native Americans or the history of oppression of Jewish people. That's okay that we can take some time out and say from focusing on African Americans. Who are I mean? The story of this country cannot be told without talking about our original sin as a country, which is the way that European Americans treated African Americans and native Americans, but particularly what what has been the focus recently is African Americans and that's really this country's history, however, if the attention is diverted for a moment to say that you know by the way a women. People or were? Jews or some other group? This has also been their experience, and because tangentially it's related some out. That's okay, and here we come to the classical. Anti Semitic issue, which is that Jews are scapegoated and here Jews convenient scapegoat and the Shaun Jackson's. Social Media Post that he was from Adolf Hitler, was scapegoating, and not in a true way at all like when Stephen Jackson and I agree with you Stephen. A some people have a positive association with a strong when you see them. You just get happy right because they're just good people's. That's my experience with Stephen Jackson. Love talking to Stephen Jackson. To really have a real affinity for him, but when he says when when when Stephen Jackson says he's speaking the truth right now Steven, he's not he's not what he's quoting nonsense. It's not true it's a historical. It's not it is not part of history now. Lot of different people white people who belong to different sub categories.

I trust your if I might your bs detector and I think you bought. His apology is incredibly sincere. Sincere. Right yes, from what you heard. Yes, over your phone or the. Not Ida I, but just over the phone. I've been around Sean had him on shows before. and. Had A couple off camera conversations with him in I want to like him I want to believe in him and his apology and I hate that he is going through this. But I do believe and I'll get to the Y. of this moment I do believe he needs to be suspended just in the vacuum of what just happened. He needs to be suspended one game just to send a message and this is more of a league issue than affiliates. That the message needs to be sent, you just can't do that. You can't go there on any form of social media as you said earlier once you invoke that. Hitler were that net Hitler name gets over. You talking about the most infamous anti-semites who ever walked this earth, the devil incarnate. And once you go there. No matter what you're trying to do with the rest of your post. Its disqualifies moot, yes. Okay so back to the Riley Cooper incident. You can look up the clips. I was outraged the next day on the old show. I did on the other network. In I called for that man's job. You have to cut him today. There's no way the black players. Black leaders on that football team can't reside with him in the locker room the rest of this year it's over right once that were the most evil word in the English language tumbles out of your mouth, even though you are intoxicated as you always say that is. Yeah, okay, what are you always say? It's drawn key of the Maghreb UK and he was two of those three drunken angry, and maybe he satellite he is. But he's a country concert and he gets mad at some of the security people and All those INS, and we're talking about the inward word, the INS in the hard e art in once that tumbles out of your mouth for me. You are disqualified permanently. You are done for me. He was done in the national football league. To My shock. Michael. Vick had on the show. Many Times stood up for the next day and said I've always thought that Riley was a good dude. And we forgive and forget. Let's remember. Mike came out here and said he regretted. Said because chip. Kelly, put him on the spot. Yes, he did. He's A. might you know it'd be? You know you deleted this team and Riley of apologized. It'd be great if you were. So, he put he put. He put him in a bad spot like who who'd been through the ringer been to prison. I think he was trying to do I. Right rang, you know. Try trying to be a good man and. Another man, a second chance until. It gave me a second chance. Let me get paid. And he says today when we've talked to him about it I regret that I did. Not only did they give him a second chance? They gave him another contract a few months later. They gave him was like five years twenty, five million. Watt! I remind you that was the chip. Kelly, regime and chip Kelly was constantly at odds with his skill position players, the black play and one after another he got. THEM RIGHT DJ. Always a lot of back and forth crossfire. In, negativity between Chip Kelly in his black players, and some of that continues today at Ucla right now, okay, so. Michael Vick saved. Ryley Cooper's job to me and yet that was just flat out wrong well again. The oldest cliche two wrongs don't make a right that happened in. You're right about that that organization look the other way led by Chip Kelly. And by the way when Chip Kelly Traded Deshaun to Washington as he left hand, he just basically ran them out of town, but remember it felt like there was a character assassination attempt. By the Eagles, the chip Kelly regime, I won't go into the details, but I staunchly defended to Sean Overall the above, because it felt like they were trying to just besmirches characters. He left town in the last part of the eagles. Digman say he needs to reflect as an organization. We will provide the resources. He needs to do so. Now if I'm not mistaken, was Mr, Laurie the owner of the eagles. If I'm not mistaken, was Howie Roseman the general manager of the Eagle Will Riley Cooper said what he's saying this skip if they if they had done if they had followed joy, bikes released Riley Cooper what he is saying. And all of a sudden the SEAN tweets. This I got no problem. I got no problem with it because it seems because. Out of won't is to feel like that..

"Skip you guys on Tampa. The offense is better in any position. quarterback not better than offensive line, not better skill position, and you definitely not better coaching. 'CAUSE I take big red over Bruce Arians how about that? I wouldn't have before last year. He's ride knock because he finally WANNA Super Bowl. He had a hard time in lots of NFC AFC, championship game, but man he finally broke through last year and thanks to Jimmy G.. He got him a super bowl army. Okay we're about to have one. Head. So last year your for this pro football focus speaking of ranked Tampa's receivers number one in pro football number one. Yes, last year your receivers in Kansas City were ranked eighth one to eight. I would say that would be advantage Brady because last year. They didn't even have this guy named Rob Gronkowski who is now out of football for a whole year healthy. He's healed up. He's refreshed. He is reunited with his soul mate. Goat quarterback TB twelve Tom. Brady magic is going to start happening again just with brock, and by the way speaking of that the number one ranked receiving core. Guess they added, they went down in the fifth round, and they got a receiver named Tyler Johnson and by the way pro football focus also had him ranked the number one receiver that he was their highest graded receiver in all of college football over the last two years his stats. Stats are a little better over two years than CD lambs or Jerry. Judy's your guys Jerry Judy my guys. CD Lamp Tyler Johnson stats were a little better. He did not run the forty I. Don't think he's very fast. I think he's four six ish. That's what I believe, but I watched some Minnesota. Games last year, and I, must have I was telling you. Sometimes. Players just flashed me on the TV screen every time I turn on Minnesota. That guys catch another pass. He is the Prince of mid air. As as far as if it's a fifty fifty ball. He goes up and gets it will. They stole him in the fifth round and I doubt he's going to. And all they have on the outside to pro bowl receivers. Did you have to pro bowl receivers on the outside we go? Donovan is GonNa Flash Tom Brady even before his is what I get myself into real logic packed up and went on home. That's what's going flash. I've been warning you about Little Scotty Miller. He's only. Bowling Green but we're talking a little element, a little ammon Dole all mixed together because he has lightning short area. Watching in the slot watch him move and groove in the slot. He is going to get open a lot, and he's going to catch a lot of balls underneath, because they not only have gronk, but they have OJ. Who ran four five see way to sixty years. We are Jalen were throwing that ball over. The top is getting. K. Brady will play Brady's games. No, you just give him weapons because he had none last year at Julian Edelman. beat up, BRO Yeah all he did last year Juliana was lead the League in drops. I don't think they're gonNA have a receiver lead the league the way he fishing capable Brim. You can't little purchase really now. You being Marlin. You've got to go. The way out there, and then you hook one back the now not hot Tom, Brady Fish and Poll fishermen okay well, speaking of dinking undocking. I told you after the draft. There's this this little man out of Vanderbilt. University named Ki Shaadi who you go he sean Vaughan remember the name because he can catch it as well as he can tote it, and he is stout, and he is explosive, and he will catch a bunch of little dinky index from Brady, and he will take them extra six or eight yards. You just watch. He's got his James White so in other words just just today on Bo. Throwing the damn, ball and they will. I just gave you so many weapons that they have an embarrassment of weapons. I don't even know how Tom's GonNa. Keep them all happy, but you know and I know that he will figure it out I'm sorry, sorry in a way that put. The cases to do on that, we'll on what yards touchdown. Offense, better off in house objectively or Like you say you are tests I don't trust you to rule on this because you have zero. When it comes to number fifteen. Read I can't believe you like chief you of all. DENVER BRONCO HOW. Everybody Bronco. I gotTA..

"E. J. W. N. What do you think to me is there any reason to think deals will be any better next year than they are right now so I guess the question there is? Are they in sending team or a descending team. I think is what he's getting at and I would say it's the latter really. I don't think it's an ascending team. Came second oldest team in the NFL. They need a lot of work. They've had ten draft picks the last ten years the last two years as a descending. That's a pretty easy answer. I think I agree. I don't think they won the Super Bowl. They're not going. It's not going up from there. I don't think I'll hope is lost. No no no. They have if something work with from a roster building standpoint they have it right in my opinion that they value quarterback value offense of line defensive line and then secondarily they value cornerbacks in receivers. They've just done a bad job of picking the right wing the last two the last two that I mentioned wide receiver and cornerback. Oh Yeah how did the most important ones in passing league the the quarterback and then after maybe offensive line is maybe the conversation. But I mean you have to get him somewhat right they. They've been horribly bad on the at those a two positions for sure but yeah. That's pretty easy. Answer right descending I I mean I don't think they're gonNA be like I don't think they're dramatically descending in that they're gonNA win and five games next year but as long as Carson Wentz this year I feel pretty good about their ability to at least be some kind of contenders every single season but they they have to get those spots better specifically cornerback and wide receiver and speaking of the wide receiver position. Before we take our next break here. This question comes comes from J double underscore rich in all caps. Jimmy Dial Global Years Score. Wonder how can we get rid. Or how can we get out of. Shawn's John's contract this offseason. That's a complicated answer. The kind of can't almost kimball okay. So it depends on how you look at it which isn't seen by the way but while you do this like I I that is the most perplexing move. I think they've made of the offseason rightly that has to be their most confusing. Move Out of anything. They've done any single signing or anything the decision. Listen to guarantee all Sean Jefferies contract for the twenty twenty season like is just perplexing so that if they caught him next year. It's twenty six million dead money. You can train them it's It's only like a sixteen million in dead money in. Its Seven K. Yes that's right. The embryo in reverse there's lose is wrong way of putting a reverse cap savings you. Yeah yeah that's one way to look at it the other way to look at it is how much did you save. Save when you read it as deal and that money is going to carry over into the next year anyway right. I don't know the answer. I'm meaning to look into that. But my intuition says that he's going anywhere he's on the team through twenty twenty at a minimum and then he's probably also well. Nah I guess he'd be gone after twenty two years a season as in like this year next year for sure gone. I mean it's just crazy to think that they could have gotten out of this contract after the season and they they absolutely would have to. They hadn't and and they drafted his theoretical replacement in the second round. Where they're here? Where they now? They can't get rid of him. And the contract is looking like an Albatross. He continues to struggle so the way he has and I think on hasn't been like his game against the bears was obviously the worst game of the season and I don't think he's been that bad and every single game he's been their best receiver. You're like by far. which isn't really saying anything? He's only getting older he's GonNa he's wise twenty nine now. He's turning thirty like this is just not. This is not very This isn't trending in a good direction. Turns thirty in February's just nope and good is really all you can say about offshoring of medical player and he already has like an you. You know an injury history to might so you don't feel good about your any. Oh you heard himself again this past week before you had the I never floated did. That's ridiculous Daily News. "I don't think he was saying like I don't think he he was saying they shouldn't have have signed Josh Gordon because because of this but he did make the point that Andrew Berry who the eagles hired a this off season to take on some of the Joe. Douglas type of roles He News with Cleveland for a long time. When Josh Gordon was there so they threw him? You know they do have Intel on him but again as you mentioned he's way hey better than anything else they have on the roster so and he was sitting there for free basically idioms. GimMe Gimme up. The GAM contract was like two million or something mission it one million which is already paid. Yeah I mean not assigned imagine like the fan base would have gone nuts if acclaimed him right like how has doing nothing. They answered it juice to like your next game. I think a big issue with this team as a whole and this is kind of a point year is like Hubris and then he kind of comes down to that to some extent. I I think it's like because the message was last week. Oh we're getting guys back from injury including the Sean and it's like we don't need to do anything we're good as we are and no. You're not clearly clearly on the Andrew Berry Point. I mean he might be good. I don't know but Brown guys. The guys really know what they're doing looking at the browns are Kinda and here. They hired Freddie Kitchens which I mean again. This isn't even hindsight being twenty twenty nine when they hired hammers like mine was like what that guy seemed nuts. Sleep does not seem like a stable guy that can sort of cater to the needs of fifty three different players especially that group of flares and man their season as it is going south very quickly but so yeah your point is is right there that you know. I don't know from the from the. The browns rounds intelligence. Well but as I'd love to know what the reasoning was while he didn't put in a roster claim on him. I'd love to know precisely what it was. Yeah maybe maybe they do love a very good reason. Maybe I don't know but it's hard to imagine it being that bad where you're like you know what all right with We shouldn't say they're all right with magazine. They are going to sign Jordan. Mathews more than likely so you broke the news. So we'll get to that in a momentary but before we get to him. And how that Antonio Brown would you take a flyer there now. I don't think you can like he's going to be put on. What the commissioners it lists like says he's going to be suspended if he got resigned right like he wouldn't even be able to play for whatever nobody's ever going to play in the league? That's not an clearly like if you're not paying attention haven't been paying attention to the `Antonio Brown saga like how could they possibly relying him like to actually like be ready to play and get ready to play. And I don't think you're paying attention if you if you think that's a real solution. A lot of people asked no. Let's take a break and we'll come back and talk Jay Matt Beckett INTAS baseball truly. Eagles' DeSean Jackson reportedly to miss two weeks with an abdominal strain

"Does Shawn Jackson is expected to miss Sunday's game against the lions will remain sideline for the week four contest same course of action that they're taking with Alshon Jeffery from the reports that we've seen and the eagles are so banged up. They literally cancel practice yesterday. They just canceled as we said. We need a day off the report that I read Brooks. I see growing in here. The report I read was in domino injury keeping him out for that two weeks an abdominal strain and so he's been bothered by it for a little while. They're going to give him a break so if you need a spot start. Nelson Goulart looks really interesting.

Eagles' DeSean Jackson reportedly to miss two weeks with an abdominal strain

"Eagles wide receivers DeSean Jackson is reportedly expected to miss a couple of more games and a wide W. stave you ram has more on that in a minute with Meryl day hi guys good morning yeah I got the voice of the eagles Meryl Reese with me he sponsored by Duncan good morning Meryl yesterday ESPN reported the Shawn Jackson is expected to miss two weeks with an abdominal strain we'll take it for what it is it's a report nothing official from the team but the birds are without Jackson over the next couple of games how did they handle that it's a difficult thing to handle because he is such an important part of the offense let's face it he turned the Washington game around with a book the big plays that he makes and there's nobody on that roster who can replace to Sean Jackson do the things that he can do now it's not that they're without a speed receiver they do have speed but the Shawn Jackson is almost in a class by himself but fortunately they do have depth in that area certainly Nelson AG lore has great speed they also have the depth but have hopefully Alshon Jeffery will be back we'll see about that and of course they are always strong at that position and they have they have J. J. R. thank a white so we saw a little bit of him but he's a different kind of receiver he's more of a possession type of receiver and we saw mac Collins play an increased role the other night so they have some depth the wide receiver but nobody who can really do what the Shawn Jackson does he have always been

DeSean Jackson might reportedly be on move, wants Philly

"Take what an unhappy disgruntled wide receiver that never happens in the NFL the Sean Jackson, according to sources told Tampa Bay that he wants out and he wants to go back to the Philadelphia Eagles. That's his preferred destination. I don't know how deeply he's digging in. But I would caution the Sean Jackson. You don't quite have the leverage that Antonio Brown has because you're not nearly as good. Yep. But he can't stretch defense. If he's got the right quarterback in the third level. He's still a hell of an athlete. He is. He's thirty two though. That's the problem. This'll this is year thirty two season as they like to like to say, but he hasn't had great success over the last couple of years only seven hundred seventy yards last year six hundred the year before that he missing some games not being overly productive as a touchdown a generator. So there's candy be good.
