"Noah Clowney and rylan Griffin each scored 14 points as fourth ranked Alabama picked up its 20th win, 79, 69 versus LSU. The Mary Burnett and Mark Sears each added 13 for the crimson tide, who led by just two 6 minutes into the second half before going on a 19 9 run. Burnett says their late defense made the difference. Just keep on grinding, you know, most importantly getting stops, we feel like we could have been better on defense and, you know, we got stopped when needed. "The bruins stretched their lead in the Atlantic division by dumping the second place Maple Leafs 5 two. The bruins entered a season high three game losing streak and moved 13 points ahead of Toronto. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery wasn't too worried about their skid. I don't think relief would be the right words. It was about us getting back to our standard and our team identity. It was a three two game until Pavel zacha scored twice in a three ten span of the third period. Charlie Coyle set up second period goals by Derek forbert and Brandon Carlo. The Key Issues Involved in the Tyre Nichols Killing

"I'd like to offer some thoughts on the Tyree Nichols killing. Kyrie Nichols is a black guy lived in the area of Memphis and on January 7th of this year, he was in his car, according to police driving recklessly, although we haven't seen any video of that, the police nevertheless, and this part of it is on video, they pull them over and then they walk up to the car and yank him out of the car and tell him to get on the ground. He seems to be complying. He says, okay, okay, okay, man. And while he's on the ground, they tase him. They hit him with a taser at which point I think natural flight kicks in and he begins to run. So they chase him down and unbelievably. Beat him to death. So this is anyone who's seen the video, Debbie and I watched it. I watched, I'd watch one version of it yesterday I watched another version this morning. It's really hard to justify. In fact, David's reaction where she goes, well, this is worse than what Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd. This is inexcusable. However, the policeman, the four cops who did this, were black. There wasn't a white policeman involved at all. And so for the left, this has become a little bit of a problem. Obviously, it is a clear case. I think it's a clear case for anyone who sees the video. Of police brutality.

Caller: What Does Police Recruitment Look Like in the Future?

"Just to touch base on Tyrone Nichols that awful awful case attorney Nichols. Unfortunately, my fear is that these guys, they don't have much time on these officers. And I think one of the first text messages or maybe voicemails you played with a guy talked about recruitment and lowering standards. That's my fear that 20 years from now, Derek Chauvin and guys like this could be the best guy on your department because the Boy Scouts and girl scouts don't want to do this job anymore when people are calling for their heads or to defund them. Officer suicide rates are up. Alcoholism rates are up divorce rates are up and so it's a spiritual and a heart issue. I was struck when the mom called from Cincinnati and said my son, 18 years old, I'm always shocked at that because Dave, I keep wondering who wants to be a police officer considering what these men and women are up against. Right, right. And that is that is a scary thing. And so. You have to. You can't lower the standards. There's going to be a time where all police departments are short on staff right now. Right.

Caller: Will the Charges Stick Against All 5 Memphis Officers?

"Anyway, I was just wondering why you didn't put the rest of the what the prosecutor said when he was talking about the police officers. If you recall, he said that all 5 of them were going to be charged with that crime while all 5 of them didn't meet this guy. But there were the ones that were standing around. So they were complicit in his death. And if you go back in time and look at some of the other deaths that's been going around the country, there's a lot of complexity going around with the cops, and this is one of the reasons why people were talking about defund the police. You know, they're concerned about the cops that are so called good cops that are standing around and not doing their job. Right. Watching the buddies do their things, you know, getting a thing off and beating people, choking them out and whatnot. And the other cops not lifting a finger to do anything about it. Yep, I get that. Now here's the problem. Second degree murder is probably gonna, they're gonna have a hard time getting that to stick to all 5 of them. I agree. You know. I agree. But I agree. But it is, but it is, this goes back to the Derek Chauvin thing when he's got his knee on George Floyd's neck for 9 minutes or 12 minutes or however long it was. Nobody else did anything about it.

Art Piece Reflecting Jesus Christ Covered Following Complaint

"I saw a story when I got to New York the other day. I almost got back on the plane went flew back. They have a, I forget what building and they have a piece of art that shows Jesus Christ. Derek, can you find that story for me? They have an, it's a historic. I want to say it's the U.S. naval academy or something, but it was here in New York. And it's a historic building. And they have an oil painting on the wall. That features an image of Jesus. Somebody complained. Well, that's it. Take it down. And you know what they've done? I'm not making this up. They literally draped a tarp over the painting to cover up the image of Jesus Christ. Because some miserable miscreant complained about a picture of Jesus Christ in a painting. See, there's such a desperate effort to strip society. Of anything that reflects our nation's judeo Christian beliefs. And that wins out.

Court to hear appeal of ex-officer in murder of George Floyd

"The former Minneapolis police officer serving 22 and a half years in prison for putting his knee to the neck of George Floyd is asking that his state conviction be tossed out, an attorney for Derek Chauvin will argue before an appeals court that numerous legal and procedural eras deprived his client of a fair trial. The attorney says pretrial publicity was more extensive than any other trial in Minnesota history, and that the trial should have been moved elsewhere and the jury sequestered the attorney also argues that the judge improperly excluded evidence that could have been favorable to Chauvin, and accuses prosecutors of misconduct, Chauvin was convicted of second degree murder, third degree murder, and second degree manslaughter, Chauvin later pleaded guilty to a federal civil rights charge, and was sentenced to 21 years in a federal prison, a sentence he serving concurrently with the state sentence. They talked on Fox and Friends. This isn't a cut number 12. This is Derek van orden who you heard on this show last week. Well, I don't think I know. The reason that we flipped the house and fired Nancy Pelosi, we're going to take that gavel out of her hand this morning, is because of the hard work of Kevin McCarthy. So Kevin McCarthy assembled a team and he led that team that flipped the house. And that deserves some respect, and that deserves that he has earned a chance to be the next Speaker of the House and I'll be strongly supporting him. And I encourage my fellow conservatives to do so also. So Derek with what you're saying, I assume you believe that we will have a Speaker of the House today. And it'd be McCarthy. It will be Kevin McCarthy. Listen, if it takes one ballot or a hundred ballots, it doesn't matter. We're in it to win it. Kevin McCarthy will be the next Speaker of the House. You see, I love hearing that. Because that's what the rump Republicans have to do, especially those who are truly out of their minds, cut number 13 Brandon Williams or submariner. I agree. Kevin's earned the right to do this. I'm not here for personal grievances and we've got a job to do. And I'm eager to get to work and get started. And the sooner we have a speaker, the sooner that we can start doing the things that the American people sent us here to do. Derek and I are both former navy. And it's really all about the mission. Back in NFL live and the Titans looking to snap a 5 game losing streak they play host to the cowboys tonight, dab was thousands, of course, coming off of a huge win this past week, prom for Tennessee is like basically every player that you know by name. So they're on IR unavailable tonight. Dak Prescott was a great last week, especially against zone coverage, but look at this injury list for the Titans tonight who either are doubtful or will not play three new additions to the IR list, by the way. Oh, only Ryan Tannehill, bud Dupree and Zach Cunningham, three of their most respected and experienced veterans on the entire roster, and also we're not going to see Derek Henry tonight to see his doubtful to play. No player has been listed as doubtful as playing the game yet this season, but shafti as if that wasn't enough, the Titans are making another quarterback change. What can you tell us about their plans tonight at starting quarterback? Feel they are expected to start Josh Dobbs who they signed off the Detroit Lions practice squad 8 days ago and they're thinking is this. Ryan Tannehill is on injury reserve. He's now out for the year and so they go to Josh Dobbs because frankly he's more experienced than Malik Willis. They trust him more right now in a spot like this than Malik Willis and they're using tonight's game against the Dallas Cowboys, which really doesn't have a lot of implications on the division race as a tune up for next week's game against Jacksonville, which is going to decide the AFC south champion. So they're going to get Josh Dobbs ready tonight to start next week against Jacksonville. It'll be a two game start for Josh Dobbs, at least that's the plan with Ryan Tannehill. Now on injured reserve and his season effectively over and the Tennessee Titans having to rely on Josh Dobbs, the former Tennessee standout who they hope can be another standout in Tennessee, only this time for the Titans. At the professional level, now shamin, as we've told people before, if they win next week against the Jaguars, they're in the playoffs. What do you make of this move for the Titans? Again, win next week, and you are in the playoffs. Yeah, I mean, to put it in perspective, there's not photos of Josh Dobbs wearing a Titans uniform to use to advertise the game. This is kind of like the Baker Mayfield starred, although, you know, maybe even more desperate seeming because Mayfield has more NFL experience. You know, when I first heard the news field, I thought perhaps they were just trying to keep Mike Willis healthy thinking this is a meaningless game, but now it sounds like this is much more about thinking, Willis, who is, of course, came into the NFL as a pretty raw prospect and we knew we were required a lot of development thinking that he wouldn't be ready to put them into the playoffs in week 18 in that Josh Dobbs gave them a better chance. Not much to say about that except for the fact that the Titans are truly backed up against a wall here. It's not a great situation and I'll say this. It's not a good situation for dogs because we talked about all the injuries on the defense. Brian Tannehill was playing behind a very, very dubious protection situation that offensive line had injuries. This is not a good spot for a young quarterback, a young inexperienced quarterback either now or in week 18. It's just remarkable. I mean, maybe we should have known when Harold Landry Torres ACL before the season, the Titans were just sort of destined for bad injury luck, but I could have never imagined this swag. Let's go to the other side of this game though because while the cowboys have just a glimmer of hope in the NFC east division race is still an important game. What would you like to see from them to know that they are building off of that huge win over the eagles last Saturday? First and foremost babyface, no turnovers from dak Prescott. That's number one. I think that's where you want to start, not giving the team extra possessions or opportunities to score from the defensive side of the football. The second thing is, we used to have this saying in games like this. Do your work early, okay? And that's for the Dallas Cowboys. Don't come in here to sleep in slumber, don't read what we're talking about or think about the guys that are out 'cause I know they watch NFL live, but don't think about the guys that are out. Don't think about who's playing quarterback. This needs to be a game where the Dallas Cowboys, when it comes to late mid to late third quarter, they need to be able to play some backups and get some other guys some experience because you also want to think about not having your guys be injured as you start to go down the road, especially already being in the playoffs. This is a very, this is a very precarious coaching situation, I believe. For my Mike and Mike and Kellen Moore, right? When you start thinking about one, we get in these guys ready to play. The things that's transpired into Tennessee. How fast do we how aggressive and fast do we want to be in order to try to get our guys that we have to depend on to try to make a run at this thing, see if we can get this balloon and get them out of the game when we start thinking about health. So it's a lot of things that are in play for this coaching staff and how they think about going about this game as opposed to a normal week. Man, what a unique set of circumstances. I'm now for one more thing and I want more thing today is our picks for the game swag, I think our picks are going to be flashing on the screen here, but who do you have in this game is unsurprisingly, we have some consensus in this one. Yeah, I got Dallas and I don't think my score indicates what I just said, but they need to blow this thing open early and get out of the game. Okay, me and I agree for a bigger margin as well. "derek f" Discussed on NFL Live

"Would be an opportunity for us. Obviously, I don't think anybody was excited about it in here. You know, him being one of my really good friends and, you know, the reason why I came here in the first place. I mean, I wouldn't be here right now if he wasn't if he wasn't here. Does this change anything about how you do? Where you are and the situation moving forward. Well, we got two games left. We got the niners this week and then we got another game to go and finish so that's really all that I'm really focused on. You can make a good argument from a football standpoint that there are actually reasons to remove Derek Carr from this starting role, the 9 year vet posted a QBR of just two when blitzed over that span. That's the worst in the league as you can imagine. The 6 picks come out to an interception rate of nearly 7%. Also the worst in the NFL in that span. He's been off target on 24% of his past attempts only Zach Wilson has been worse these past three weeks have been ugly. Chef, let's get back to what more can you tell us about what's going on with Carr and the Raiders, a story that feels like is just beginning. Well, it's a situation feel where yesterday they made the decision to bench him for the rest of the season. And when they do that, obviously, it certainly seems like it ends his tenure in Las Vegas where he is the all time leading passer is thrown for more yards more touchdown passes than any quarterback there. Now, there is the issue of the guaranteed money. The Raiders did not want to be on the hook for that at that point in time. They say his did not drive the decision here, but the fact of the matter is if Carr had played or practiced, the last two weeks of the season and gotten hurt, the Raiders would have been on the hook for over $40 million in guaranteed money. And if they're willing to bench him and have him go away from the facility, which he's now left and be inactive for the next two weeks of the season, then clearly they're willing to move forward without him and they've made an organizational decision to go in an entirely different direction. There are people out there that believe Derek Carr can still be a salvage quarterback and be effective in this league. There are others like the Raiders who wonder again about the numbers that you put up there and why he was ineffective this year and had a league leading interception total. So it'll be up to some general manager, but this off season in a certain kind of way, Derek Carr turns in to the type of quarterback that we've seen last off season with Baker Mayfield or Carson Wentz where you're looking for a new home for that particular player and we'll see which teams are interested, if any in trading for him. So I Google feels a long way from that three year $121.5 million extension that Derek Carr and the Raiders agree to this off season. What do you make of this move by Las Vegas? Baby face, it feels a bit disrespectful. I must say, from a player's perspective, I think when you think about this situation in the entirety, you got to go back to last year when Derek Carr was literally the spokesperson for a tumultuous season, all of the things that were going on outside of the football field and actually played well enough to get this team into the playoffs. So to me, this breeds that there is a disconnect and some unlikeness within the Raiders of front office head coaching and quarterback situation, especially with a new head coach in Josh McDaniels coming in. I know you here tell Adams talk about it and he actually posted about how much he has Derek Carr's back and understands that this is a business, but also I will say this, man, as a player in the locker room, especially if Derek Carr is the guy that we watched him be. This would be very disheartening for me to see him be done this way. And obviously you could make an argument for his play and like shifty pointed out the contract situation which they would be on the hook for, but just from a player on the field perspective playing in this locker room, seeing his leadership come to fall last year, this feels a lot, this feels a lot disrespectful from the standpoint of sitting him down, especially if he was expecting and warning to play. Well, I do have some good news for their car, Marcus. It's probably going to end up with a better team. Next year. So he's got that going from. He also has that no trade clause, so he has some discretion because I do think that he will be a hot ticket on the trade market for a couple of reasons. It's a pardon me. It's not an excessive contract next year when he's traded. It would be about $33 million acquiring team to cut him after that. Obviously they'd have to give up something for him to Las Vegas. But, you know, I do think there's also a lot of teams out there that need quarterbacks that are otherwise pretty solid. When you start looking across the league at the jets, the commander is, of course, we always talk about the colts, potentially the falcons. There's a lot of options for Derek Carr and there aren't a lot of other quarterbacks in the market maybe Tom Brady. He decides not to return to the bucks. Jimmy Garoppolo, of course, would be a free agent, but assuming Lamar Jackson returns to Baltimore. I have to thank Derek Carr is going to be a target for a lot of those teams, and I think he'll be happy to land with some of them. Chefs, we've got a newsy quarterback afternoon so far and you have more out of Tennessee. What can you tell us here? Yeah, field moments ago, the Tennessee Titans officially placed their quarterback. Ryan Tannehill, on injured reserve, effectively ending his season. He underwent ankle surgery last week. He was never going to come back and play again in the regular season that much was never in question. Now it looks like he's not going to be able to come back at all. The Titans already are preparing to be without him because they're going to start Josh Dobbs tonight against the Dallas Cowboys. And I think the reason they're doing that is to get him ready for next week's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars considering that they just signed him off the lines practice squad 8 days ago. So tonight is almost like a preseason tuna for Dobbs to get ready for the game next week that'll have divisional implications and whether or not they can hold on to when the AFC south title, but here's the sentence that I don't think a lot of people would have ever have imagined hearing early in the year the Tennessee Titans hopes of winning the AFC south title now rest on the shoulders of Josh Dobbs. The Tennessee volunteers, their hopes. Yes, when he played there in college, that is he Titans, I was not expecting that. Certainly not here in 2022. We're just getting started here on NFL live. The number one seed is on the line this week in the AFC can the bill's defense find a way to slow down Joe burrow and those bangles wide receivers, plus Mike white will start for the jets this week against the Seahawks. Donate to Our Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Campaign & Mike Won't Sing

"Great having you here. And thank you so very much. My goodness, we're all about a hundred kids away from hitting 9000 children sponsored in our angel tree prison fellowship campaign. So here's our promise. If we hit 9000, I will sing joy to the world live. I already got a text saying, how can we donate to keep you from singing? Maybe if we hit 9000, I won't sing, joy to the world. That could be a poll question, Derek. Should we hit 9? If we hit 9000 sponsored children to get a Christmas present, a Bible and a message from their incarcerated parent, maybe we'd get more donations to get over 9000, which would be incredible. If I don't sing, joy to the world live on the radio. Sometimes we get a little carried away with our polls.

Should Mike Gallagher Step Down as the Show Host?

"The Monday before Christmas and I'm forced to ask you if you think I should continue as host of the Mike Gallagher show. It has come to this. I mean, I started in 1978 with my first talk radio show at 18 year old kid in Ohio. Made my way through the ranks, you know, went to South Carolina, Albany, New York, New York City, been heard coast to coast since 1998. And I am forced to ask you to determine my professional fate. In just a couple of moments, Derek will polish off our poll question, should Mike Gallagher step down. As host of the Mike Gallagher show, I may or may not abide by your decision. Holy cow. Elon Musk is going to step down as head of Twitter. This is pretty wild.

Highlights of Sunday's action in the NFL's Week 15

"Week 15, NFL roundup. I'm Ben Thomas, Sunday's action saw two more overtime games, but neither qualifies as the wildest finish of the weekend. That was in Las Vegas, with the Raiders beat the Patriots. Ryan lyong explains how. The Raiders scored on a crazy play as time expired to beat the Patriots 30 to 24 with three seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and the game tied the Patriots tried to extend a 23 yard run by ramonda Stevenson, but a second lateral by Jacoby Myers was fumbled and recovered by the Raiders Chandler Jones who ran it back 48 yards for the game winning touchdown. At first I was thinking who's around me. And I felt myself stumbled a little bit after the stiff arm. And that was thinking, who do I pitch it to that? I was just trying to, you know, keep the ball alive. It's when I stayed up, I just turned the jets on and the rest was history. Derek Carr was 20 of 38 for 231 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals Buccaneers game in Tampa matched two division leaders led by two marquee quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Joe burrow. Early on, this was dominated by Brady and the bucks who jumped out to a 17 and nothing lead, but as Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd said, his team didn't panic and capitalized on four Tampa turnovers. When we create them, turn those, we got to go get them touchdowns, and not three. So I think the turning point was the offense rallying off the defense and making those turnovers into touchdowns. Boyd caught one of Joe burrow's four touchdown passes as the Bengals scored 34 consecutive points, cruising to a 34 23 win. Eric waddell, Tampa. Now one of the games that went to OT, Denny cap. The Jaguars overcome a 17 point second half deficit to stun the cowboys 40 34 and overtime. Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence through three of his four touchdowns in the second half, hitting receivers a Jones on three of those four scores. I think it says a lot about this team, how much we trust one another. Widely Patterson sent the game to overtime on a 48 yard field goal as time expired, that set up rayshawn Jenkins for the game winning pick 6 of dak Prescott as Jacksonville improved a 6 and 8 on the season, Noah Brown caught a pair of touchdowns for the cowboys who saw four game winning streaks now and fell to ten and four. I'm Denny cap. The cowboys have clinched a playoff spot, but there are lots of winning the NFC east have gotten longer with the eagles surviving a trip to a frigid soldier field in Chicago. I really couldn't feel my hands. Equals quarterback, Jalen hurts. Didn't really have good vision on the field. In some, I never play anything that cold. Still, final score eagles 25 bears 20. The other two teams in the NFC east still have a shot at a wild card. Craig heist has the outcome of the Giants trip to Washington. Rookie pass rusher kayvon thibodeau had a strip sack of Taylor heinicke and a recovery for a touchdown while saquon Barkley rushed for a touchdown in 87 yards as the Giants beat the commanders 20 to 12. Barkley and the Giants are inching closer to the playoffs. Big win for us and, you know, playing meaningful games here in December, you know, is where you want to be. Heineken through for a touchdown pass, but was also sacked three times. The Giants improved to 8 5 and one while the commanders fall to 7.6 in one. Craig heist land over Maryland. The lines and jets are both now 7 and 7, but one of them is feeling a lot better about it than the other, Mike mancuso was at this one. The Lions continued their playoff push with the 20 to 17 win over the jets, trailing 17 to 13 with one 49 remaining on a fourth and one Jared Goff hit tight end, Brock Wright, who rumbled 51 yards for the go ahead TD. I know we had it, knew the cutback would be there, and I just thought, run as fast as I can, getting that into. Jets quarterback, Zach Wilson, who threw for 317 yards, got the jets set up for a field goal of one second remaining, but Greg sirloin missed from 58 yards. Other finals, the chiefs survived a trip to Houston beating the Texans 30 to 24 in overtime. The Chargers topped the Titans 1714, the Steelers put a 24 16 pounding on the Panthers, the saints so with the falcons 21 18, while the wolf will Broncos be the spiraling Cardinals 24 15. Monday night the Los Angeles Rams play the packers and what should be a rather frigid Lambeau Field and possible snow. I'm Ben Thomas, AP sports

What's nice to see you to a nice to see that emmy prominently placed behind right shoulder. I love it. i usually take it down. Because it's like a little distracting. But yeah i don't. I i got mine right there. I don't have any words of those. I'm gonna keep over there just to kind of you know not too many people those they're good look into. There's some there's some awards and some things that you're like album put doesn't away but these ones definitely should be on display and people know what they are when they see them. That's another thing. Yeah good like what's that crystal exactly exactly so kudos. Their season thirty man is about to kick off over on dancing with the stars. Some names are already starting to be announced who have who. Are you looking forward to seeing on the dance floor. Oh man i mean. I actually know a lot of the cast actually. I can't share it with you but But it's gonna be i would. I'm not just saying because we always say this every season it's good to be the best season but her but it really is going to be an incredible gas And i know this year. We have jobs iwo who who's an incredible dancer but she me dancing with a female partner. I wish the first for dancing with stars. You know two females. Nancy with each other Can really exciting for me. It's not really it's it's not surprising to me or It's quite common. Because you know. In england where i grew up where trained there are It's very normal for for drills to partner one another. They have competitions for all competitions and stuff so it's a pretty common thing So yeah. I'm looking forward to it though. I'm looking forward to seeing that on the show. How would you describe your judging style. My judging style. I try as best i can to give you know the best. 'cause obviously being a coach it hasn't been in the room teaching the celebrities My i always want to strike like giving them tips. They can actually apply not just of general like yeah be better do good one actually give specific things that i believe will help them improve It is really difficult though because it's live television and there's a very the time constraints so sometimes i go to say something. I have something you know that. I really believe will help them. And you know like two seconds and it was great time or exactly but But my i would say. I'm fair i would say that i'm real. It's be hard. I feel like it by heart. I mean just honest 'cause he care yet i generally do. I really want the non succeed. I want them to do good. So yeah being a dancer yourself of course in and a competitor does it bother you when some of the better dancers get voted off early. And you're stuck with the ones that are wack because it bothers the vr. I know you think it's a shame honestly like at the end of the day you know. It's up to the viewers. it's up to the public at home. Who stays right We can we can certainly try guiding as far as you know saying i hope you make it to the end or go you know. Go far or make the next week But yeah it can be frustrating. Sometimes when somebody who's really talented really good Gets knocked out early. But that's the thing the dancing is is only a part of the show You know it's really about the connecting in connecting with the people home connecting to your partner. The you know the packages the talking live on air. All of that you know plays into so and and that's what you see a lot too. Is you see people who have these big names who come on the show and they get all the press beginning. They get all the hype they get all the buzz and then there's some other cast members you're like i've never even heard of that is i don't know if that's from And sometimes those people who are really the biggest names who end up you know winning over the audience a lot so they don't really have any preconceived notion going into it so it'll be interesting. Yeah it always is You're part of this new podcast series equal to achieving disability equality This has to do with the paralympics. Correct yes yes. So it's a six part series A bic out on all the on the podcast platforms. Obviously dancing with amy purdy. Who is apparently being an extraordinary woman who You know for us on our journey dancing. The stars was just a incredible. You know she's a perfect person. Who sort of embodies that would apply isn't happening to you. It's happening for you. You know she really embodied that she lost her legs as nineteen was a medalists in the in the olympics paralympics as a snowboarder and of course a dancer she. We figured it out on the dance floor. There's no handbook. there's no rulebook. There's no no references to us. We just had a figure it out right and she did an exceptional job. So this podcast is it's It's different things in different focuses that focuses on as far as equality. You know for people you know because abilities in just understanding learning stories as well you know so. It's a it's a great pockets. Yeah man that's inspiring good for you. Talk about your vegas residency. That's about to kick off. Derek off no limit. Where can we see it and tell us what's in store when people check it out. Yeah it's it's going to be at the venetian hotel or venetian resort hotel. Say in las vegas and it's September twenty second to november twenty first. I'll be judging stars at the same time so i'll be going back and forth.

"Hard because like one of the scenarios that would not be good for tiffany would be if she put sarabeth up and then clare won the coin of destiny and then somehow took sarabeth down and then also at some point either by this scenario or the veto elissa gets safe. That will be the worst case scenario. But i don't think tiffany really needs to worry too much about that happening because most likely if she puts sarabeth up. She's going to be able to convince claire that that's a good thing that goes home regardless. So i don't see claire directly trying to screw tiffany over unless and this is a very very long shot in less. The house really goes for some reason. Full steam declare being like. Hey tiffany really wanted you to leave. Wanted derek ecstasy day last time. But i even think even in that case. It's not gonna help claire. Want to like start revolting tiffany. I don't see that happening. We've seen derek f and tiffany at times of butt heads. What would this scenario. Look like where okay Tiffany is trying to get sarah. Beth out of the house would would derek f. And then he has been the pawn for sarabeth but is would he potentially maybe Have thailand in his ear. Would he be incentivized to potentially go away from what tiffany wants to do as h this week in well the thing is that big d want sarabeth. Gone as well so you know. I don't see that changing thailand. Even i don't think is going to put up a fight here. In fact i think he is also very like rate not on my not on my hands so i think that everyone is on board to take out sarah about the tricky part comes when if sarabeth wins the veto then there may be some push to like. It's gotta be clear. It can't be illicit. But i don't think so. I think they're going to be xavier. Might try but i don't think he's going to succeed. I think everyone would understand that. It makes no sense for her to do that. Layer when a list is available. So you know. I don't i don't expect there to be much in the wave tension here in terms of where this should go. If multiple people purchase the coin destiny will they all have to flip the coin and then only the people who get it right will move on. Will there be some sort of a battle. I shouldn't just be flipping coin tournament. Believe they will be. They will be competing in in some kind of slide. The juleps or you spin the thing. And then whoever gets the best score will then enter the room and flip. The coin of destiny. Test julie was Was very happy with the branding of the coin destiny to see if platt taryn had it because myself board is not traveling well making myself laugh. Julie's feeling it she's feeling but she also says e humble so Yeah she also went back to everybody to see how they were doing and Tiffany said that she prayed. H and julia was all very excited. That prayer see it works networks. Everybody tell that somebody's son. Who told me today. Dad i prayed for derek x tonight not watched the episode yet. No on all right anything else from the episode tonight yet. Remember to get those votes in I made the mistake of somehow voting. Five times claire and then once accidentally for claude and then another five times for claire so just make sure you spell check on those trim club deserve some votes sure. It took a long time for cbs. To get back to me and be like sorry. We don't recognize that name so it did happen eventually but just so you now. I'm imagining vote counters. Who haven't read the texts individually somebody who's like like they're going on a whole mission now have a go run around the office. Who does anybody clot is. Do we know there. Clyde in the i feel like i feel familiar. Yeah well it must get really confusing. I mean lincoln past weeks when everybody was typing baby and they were having to figure out which derek that was baby d. There's just like. I don't know we're in twenty twenty one and it's like why aren't you guys using you want people to go to paramount. Plus just have something there. People will gladly on your app but we need. Jobs are taxing. it's dumb. Is there any strategy to who the audience should be sending money to. I think that if you're looking for a basically again big d and hannah are guaranteed a coin at this point players. The person who is the closest to getting it but needs the audience as we've seen the the superfan audience the online audience. Not they don't have a lot of sway here so my recommendation would be. Don't try to get cute with it. You don't have the muscle Just put your votes in declare and hope. She actually makes it to that. Top three based on wednesday night up wednesday nights episode. I would say she's locked but in tonight's episode she wasn't really a big part of it and maybe a little bit forgotten. She may need those extra votes. So i would just i would. Just give clara hundred. She'll be guaranteed to play. That's that's probably the most that you want. If you don't want to play then you'd probably want to on up either hannah or a. I don't know.

"I'm gonna. I'm gonna keep firing. I'm not. I'm more slip happens. We love tiffany lake. Thank you like. She's so she says it and like the best way she's like. I'm not done fighting yet. Or like i told them this. But i'm going to do this and so good so she goes to derrick. She says you you need this idea. You had his. Derek had the idea to pitch that Thailand alissa and sarah. Beth are working together in an alliance and he's done for them as she says you can say you're gunning for serb at. Don't say you're running for kyle and It's it's not going to play. You need thailand. I think in order to make this happen. So so is that because she thinks that he can't get derek f. I mean. I think i think it's because if he says that he's against like the primary argument here is that if he's targeting the guys then it's not good for the guys to keep him around but if he says he's targeting sarabeth in not mentioning kyle and then it gives at least the illusion that like. Hey if derek wins put up sarah and maybe elissa and then he puts the both of them up and boom week over after sarah. How is that a battle at all. They think claire won't to who kyla nt like. If this is a pitch to thailand. I'll put up sarabeth. It's like everyone's putting up sarabeth does doesn't make you special like. Why would that make. Oh actually i should keep them then. 'cause we'll get rid of sarabeth. Well i think. I think it's basically what she's saying is it's their needs to say that he's not going after kyle and strong after sarabeth and that's the baseline if he saying anything else they can't keep him And so then what tiffany is going to be doing as well on the other side of things is..

"Tired doesn't work for me I it's like they re purpose chanels star which i also wasn't a huge fan of just put a card on it instead. The donkey is way better. And derek's You know Lord of the latrine costume was Was really awesome. I just feel like in general they got to. We got one really good one. We got one. That's like pretty good. We need to third can can the person that wrote those songs do you. Do you have an idea. Leftover from a high school production of allison wonderland grab that. Yeah taryn if you're gonna start getting upset about costumes being just like a fulling leotard was something put over it. You're going to have a bad time watching a lot of seasons of big brother. Look look at the actual straight up unitards classic but Over it is honestly like less. It's not classic anymore now. It's just lame. They've been calling it a unit card. I can't hear it. I can't hear the difference between those two car. Carta tired i believe unit card is so much better way better. Hardy tarred sounds like a word. That i don't it doesn't sound gay coming out of my mouth lot of them. Well that's the problem with the leotard. Is that the word the combo were. It's the tarred comes from leotard. It still doesn't sal. I want to say in two thousand and let's get the leotards off the show or replace them with something else so we can fix that word. Should we using the prefix of the eleo. Lena yes yes the leo card or leo whatever is what we should be calling it there you go into to leo instead of a uni. Well that one is a union. I think a leo is when it does not have leg pants when it's not i'm going into the fans. Yeah scott do they reduce costumes on the challenge. No and i just actually last season. I was talking about how you fix the problem. Where so many people in the game in the challenge often zero incentive right in the challenge if the show is structured. where last place doesn't automatically go into elimination. Anyone who knows they're in a good place. Politically will often not care about coming in first or last kind of ruins the competitions and so that's why i think punishments should invade the challenge. I don't think they should be goofy punishments like this. But i think they should you know maybe like have to sit in maybe isolated chamber by themselves or something or the or rewards also like more more kind of just like the rewards are always like burger king for life on the challenge. Like how about just you get a walkman for six hours. You burger king for life. Yeah so durell eller one. At last season. I asked him how it worked and it came in the form of gift card. They just keep giving him gift cards so he got a bunch of five hundred gift cards and they say whenever you need more let us know and so. He has burger king for life and has used it pretty well so far. So you couldn't could you imagine like You know johnny bananas in a donkey costume getting into a fight with yes. Something think they now do costume parties for fun. So like for instance last season. There was this big moment. Where fussy got into a fight with et. Who's like the big brawny guy on the challenges that he's become a crowd favourite but he's been known to get into a ton of fights him in these two big bowls they finally have this show but it was like the night of their like eighties party. Were like one of them's dressed like a plan for the other ones dressed like from jackson video and so it looks so ridiculous these two guys like pretending they're gonna fight which they're knocks they don't wanna get kicked off but it also looks like the pretending they're not gonna fight because it'd be so embarrassing the punch the face while wearing one of those costumes so the costumes are actually just coming. Elective -ly but i think they could work their way in as a punishment as well. So we'll see what we can do. Okay we got Derek f talking with thailand and taryn. I is this just a the tv show ord or do you find this on the feeds Derek f is pretty. Good in these one on ones. I feel like in the group setting. "I still remember what it was like to think. You were miami Gotcha that's that's derek x. Rachel ultimately christian is going to get into the loop on what's going on He's not happy. He tells us that he feels like an idiot. Derek x is a coward And we have like a kings meeting to talk about What's going on. I mean it was it. The one in the storeroom or the one in the workout room I believe this one was in the workout room workout room. Yeah i mean yeah. They had those that last ditch effort to try and change. Everything christian comes in right at the end. And he's like listen like you need to put up. What derek f. They're saying he could win. And then sarah best they're going. I can't say this in front of list by. I'm eugene put christian because there was no way sarabeth with staying over derek so it was very crucial for sarabeth to make sure that she had that time afterwards. Be like you know you need you. Need to stick to the plan. Need to go after him. She made sure that she kind of what. What does the word kind of twisted that night. A little deeper kings because she was like they're gonna come after you. You need to do this but in the diary room. She saying i can't believe he's going to. He's doing this. Oh early i mean. I expected us but not this early. But she's like okay. Let me work tonight. advantage by. Yeah that was that was that was crazy in the meeting with all of the kings when they turn to sarabeth taryn. Essay like Well sarah what do you think well were is best for your game. Dark like a very awkward moment. Yeah i mean so so some some of the contacts that was left out of this. Is that christian. "A joy to say the least All right anything else from the week that we should talk about before we start writing these players. I just kind of basically go over the state of the house here in terms of alliances. Nothing's nothing's really concrete in terms of alliances as of this week again. That structure is coming together but nothing has been really formalized so anything else that we need to bring up from the week. I'd just going to say. I do want to call out the cookout. Because although they don't meet. I think that they are a solid six once. They were there solid five. Once they dared f- go. I think it's good that the formation of a cookout. You know the idea of the cookout you know. It's it's it of them having the culture in common. They are all of the black house guests in the house. I think because of that and they know look we can do something. That's never been done. Have that commonality. And he's even see keilan at some point talking about how he's gonna take sarabeth as far as he can but i think his true. His true allegiance is to the cookout first and foremost and so. I think it's an. I love for handed another name but i am glad she is more involved because it was like a subtle thing. Tiffany brought up to her a few days ago. But i'm glad that it is a solid six but they're only weakest point is derek f. Because he's the only one that doesn't seem like the cookout. Is i in his heart like he's already talking about who's going home versus. What are you talking about like. let's get to jury. It's week two he. He's on my.

"It's a miracle superhuman strength unbelievable and she gets sad and it was acquired. You said you save you saved a life. She's like yes. But i can't help but dwell on all the things that i thought i couldn't do and now i'm eighty okay so what we did in carbonaro effect as we lifted cars off babies man. I mean we'd like we. What if we tried this. There was an an earlier incarnation of derek. Mind that would say not possible but it is like everything we wanted to do. We kind kinda found a way to pull it off right either by pivoting the angle or changing the perspective. Or you know just by putting it out there. I had the i had the same experience Early on working on An mtv show called room 401 David minkin was a writer on it with me and One of the ideas ashton kutcher was the executive producer and he wanted at the time. There was viral footage of of a guy on a Aircraft carrier get sucked through jet engine. And like it's sort of this grainy night vision video and it was a real footage and it was. It was viral at the time. And he's like. Can we do that and we were like. Yeah we could try and you know we all these ideas and we would call airports and you know get pricing and it was just. It was possible but it was just too pie and it was just too expensive. It was not in the budget. And then i kid you not our our location designer fines at burbank airport. A gutted airplane for a company that does Custom interiors for private jets. Okay okay and this airplane has dummy engines and suddenly. We're able to do this. Incredible thing. i mean so again you know to a team is very powerful. And and We shouldn't we shouldn't limit our imagination to what we think is possible. I mean come on. We're magicians yeah. Yeah yeah even if the segue so talking. Virtual shows derek. You'll be doing our virtual event showtime in july good. What can people expect from usa..

"Just present a different perspective. And i would say i don't know if the right word is role model but i think Hopefully somebody out there will see this movie and you know think of a guy that looks like me a little differently. Not just like a or a yeah. We're we're bankers. Were lawyers were people who join the military where people who want to serve our country. That's right. I think that's that's really what it's all about. I think that's why movies are so powerful. Why why. I'm here and on a personal note two of my nieces or half chinese. So it's in my family so you know they're my brother's kids and i love him dearly and So i wanna see that represented for them to and and for me so It's kind of a selfish reason. But but you know you you you learn a you of my brother marrying a wonderful chinese lady. I mean she was grew up here and everything but in the states. But you know we got exposed to things we wouldn't have been exposed to and And my family. I think richer for it. Yeah you know. There's a line in the movie. That michael doran says that i wrote. It's in protecting the ones you love. The world can be stronger and I love that. I don't know i'm going to be selfish and say i love what i wrote there and hearing him say. Hey we're all selfish. We're all biased. Sure that's that's my take know you're gonna you're gonna have preferences that's totally fine but i think you know we don't. That's okay we have. We should embrace our differences absolutely absolutely and do a for do for you. You don't you don't have to do it for anybody else. Know what you don't owe anything. Danny nobody does anything to anybody. If it makes you feel good if if if you know if it's gonna protect the ones you love it's going to help them then why not. It's easy it's easy to be. Nice yes it is it is. It's easier to be nice. It's it's painful to be angry. Yeah oh yeah absolutely it. There's more work to be angry than than to be nice. It's just a lot of work and it never works out really well either so so there you go all right well thanks again. Age a revelation. That'll be out january. Twenty second on pay per view. "Don davis. I'm the composer of the matrix. Matrix reloaded and the matrix revolutions. Hi this is. John delancey kind of the things that aren't there. Well you know. sometimes you have that experience anyway. People at all they're gone in part because of the hopeful nature of genes vision but also because of its message of diversity and inclusion. I tony tomato here and we have today dairy ting and he has a film agent revelation and not only did he write and directed is also in the film and plays the lead. Welcome derrick From hong kong. Thank you how you doing. Good good you know derek it. It's hard enough to write and direct something but to be in it wearing all those hats and being in the film. What was that like for you. Oh it's it's interesting because there's definitely pluses and minuses. Yeah obviously. I don't go back to my trailer after shot has done that's true or lack thereof trailer keeps going. It's like a marathon. I'd say we do twelve hour days. Which is very typical in the industry. I do not go over twelve hours by the way. So you're always on your feet. You're walking a lot. Just going the set was was pretty big as well so a lot of back and forth and then the physical part scissors action. It's exhausting so just get there. We'd set up and we'd shoot all day. And then at the end of the day i would just crash and this went on for about a month and at the end of it i was like. Oh my gosh. i'm so so tired and pretty much. Just veg for like the next two or three months. Don't blame me. I don't blame you at all. So the plot is i'm looking at imdb just to paraphrase. "The Enterprise content management space long ago when when sykora's first getting started in the us. Everyone knew they needed a website. We've gotten past that hurdle and everyone has spent years with web developers working in dreamweaver to try to build websites dating myself and everyone knew that they needed a platform to kind of Put some of the day-to-day content management activities in the hands of non coders And it was a really. It was like cultural change. I think within the web development world in terms of seeing these new roles emerge which were web content managers and digital marketers who really needed to get their hands on a platform so that they can do this. Work themselves in the conversational automation space. It's it's similar but different. The the different part is is while you know when when we were starting site core everyone knew knew the website today and something we can talk about as well as not. Everyone knows that they need to automate conversations. Not everyone knows kind of what's possible. And how much time and effort they can save or how difficult projects are so. There's there's still a lot of Lack of clarity and lack of urgency around adopting the technology in general but interestingly similar to kind of where we were recite court. We are at a point where people who have been working in this technology for a little bit are realizing that developers can become a bottleneck in the process of building out richard conversational experiences for customers and and i thought picking on developing asia but there's just limited limited resources with those skill sets that we need to enable a nontechnical less technical user to get their hands dirty with ecommerce platform. Do as much as they can. They're so that way when developers are actually touching the platform. It's to build out. Customer degration 's or to to do things in the system that exceed the exceed the skill set of the nontechnical user but in terms of just updating the logic of a conversation or updating the content of conversation being able to handle new intense those should really be in the hands of a of a business. User is probably you know develop a wise to show you kind of experiences. Wealth through various pieces of work that we've done beyond development develop. There's also in the same way we talk about skill gaps in terms of compensation design practice designing compensation development. Conversations is also two different things as well isn't it helps develop his inauguration. Don't necessarily have the understanding right now. around the tools techniques in a kind of conversational technical development. Would you say justin. Yeah no i think. That's i think that's really true. And then and then also i think the best deal developers are are lazy and a lot of ways. I think that's a positive thing that's eight and so we're talking about derek. About democratizing is sort of a cliche but giving the tools to more people with a company me's at a developer is not a certain bottleneck and they they can work on more interesting things The to push the whole history of web development analogy further kinda interesting. I'd be curious about you guys. Experience is the comparable skill sets that we had in the as kind of the web kind matured was people to who had done print design. Who'd kind of atp done marketing materials and traditional media and try to figure out. How can we take what we know from print translate the web and as as we all know is not a good fit for most of the time they they knew. Some graphical design and marketing messaging. But it didn't always translate. Well interestingly the conversational designed space organizations don't see themselves of even having that vague analogy that we had from print to web from a design perspective. People feel like they're starting from scratch but but the equivalent of that print designer to the web world are actual human beings having conversations with customers. So it's kind of like your customer service. Reps are the ones who can bring in a lot of that knowledge and skills and it might not translate directly to an automated conversation in a word for word. But that's kind of where you're a subject matter. Expertise knowledge resources already exists
