"Well and I used to go to talk about celebrities. I remember they used to provide a car for you. They would send car to take you home. And now they don't do that anymore. So I came down there, and there was a car, and they had a little sign that said Cooper on it. Great. This must be my car and I got it, and he started driving towards the airport. And I was like, wait. No, I'm just going downtown. He's like I thought you said you're Cooper, I said, yeah, I am Anderson Cooper didn't know. Oh, that's bad. Supposed to know we'll because a lot of the hosts all get or anchors. They all definitely get car service to and from right? And most of the guys because I get most of that most of the time depending on the show action. So you see the same guys all the time, the drivers guy because I got I got right in the car, and he started driving the wrong way. I was like, no, you're, you're going the wrong way. He's like I thought you're going to the airport. I said, no. I'm just I'm just going down. Well, Anderson Cooper's on the corner. Yeah. Luggage in their out there. Like you left ten minutes ago, we actually see it and we moved down to Hudson yards. I didn't know that month ago. CNN is no longer had collapsed. No. And it's in the, the thirty Hudson yards, which is where the observatory deck is hasn't opened yet. But it's I have you been down in Hudson yards yet. No. Oh, it's beautiful though. I will you know, the thing is I'm not a big. I don't go where a lot of tourists are. And every time I try and go down there. It's very touristy. Like I was I started out, I was just walking down the high line with some friends. Stop by Hudson yards. And it was just it was too overwhelming that I was like you know what? Let's just let's just go shopping market and go. I did my first sideline like a month ago. I'd never done it. It's beautiful. Chelsea piers. And we had an event there and ended and I had to go up to CNN so I walked, which isn't a long walk. But I took the high line, which I'd never done. It was really cool. It was a gorgeous. I have I took pictures in my phone. It was just one of those stunning nights, and you have such a great view of Manhattan, and of the new Hudson yards, which is really pretty spectacular. But that whole what's it called again with the any packing district the stairs? Oh, you mean the. The honeycomb thing. Yeah. You what's it called? You have zero desire to do that provided people wire people lining up to do that. I don't get something to do. Because when you're in New York million things to do in New York steps. Well, the vessel the vessel the vessel. Yeah, it's funny because my gym had this whole thing where they were they, I guess it was a charity event where they're running up and down the vessel. You couldn't do that with us. I was like, no. I'm not why are you doing? To the Simpsons episode where they have the stairway to nowhere. That's a good. That's a really good comparison. It looks it's kooky looking. I mean it's very art. But they will get I forget how many people are expecting a year to do that. It's a lot. Yeah. Which to me is just completely mind boggling, with all the things to do in New York. Right. That shouldn't be on list on page six of your list. Well, I figure you know what? Go there that way, they'll keep you out of my neighborhood. Could get into my restaurants where I live. So we had Eric Trump on the show this week. And I had to ask them about spit gate, because that, that kind of thing really upsets me. I don't care who you are the idea of being spat upon the, the active actually doing that. I mean I just think this better ways to express yourself. And if you don't like him that makes you look bad. So I feel as if you're a democrat in a liberal, and you're the person doing the spitting, it just it makes us all look bad. I feel you know, so at turns out, Eric Trump is not the only person who was spat upon or spit upon rob astronaut spit on, now, I texted her at the other day said, welcome to the spat upon club. And, and I told them what happened to me. The let's see. It was two thousand and five I was running for county executive the first time and we were in, I won't say, what church it was it was a carnival at a church in Rochester. And I'm talking to people greeting people, and this woman. Up to me, and she was she was in, I would say late twenties, or so. And I'm telling her about me, and, you know, vote for me, and she's oh, and I was going through my, my platform, if you will. Oh, yes. Actually agreed with you on this, and that and right before she started to walk away. And she goes, oh, you're, you're pro choice. Right. I said, well, no, I said, I'm pro-life, but that really has nothing to do and her whole demeanor change. And she looked at me and I could just see in her face. She was getting red. And she goes. Wow and spit on me spit on me. And I, I still to this day, remember her. What she looked like. And I'm thinking to myself out Mike, because your first reaction is I want to strangle, this year, ryen across me that you spit on me. Yeah. And I'm like, well, that won't go well on the campaign. So let me refrain from doing that, but it's such a disgusting act. And it, it says more about it says about then completely unhinged thing that drives me crazy, you know, I mean, I'm somebody that I look, I, I believe I have a lot of very conservative believes when it comes to immigration and the economy. But when it comes to social issues when it comes to women's rights, you know, I feel like for me as a woman, especially I, I definitely feel very strongly about women's right to choose. But I feel like women like you just described make my argument worse, because it she paints us with the same brush. And now suddenly if you have that view, you must be somebody who's willing to spit on, you must be crazy. Must be willing to spend on somebody else and, and then unwilling to hear like a real argument, like a real reason. There's no, there's no argument that and it's just like and control yourself because I feel like that's that's the thing where I would not have. I've been able to control myself and you and you and I will be speaking from me in jail right now. I honestly call from Rikers, honestly. If I weren't in well, I would never and that's the disadvantage because it was a woman. And so I would never no matter what I wouldn't hit her or doing anything back. What did you do guy we probably would've gone fight, but I was again, I was in the middle of a campaign. So it was politically, there was nothing. I could do other than just like, are you, it sound like are you crazy? And you know there are people around me into, like just walk away. Let's just get out of this before it escalates because, of course, she would want it to ask late. That's. Yeah. Absolutely. Hey who I was? And but that's what we're are. That's what we are today. I'm like I've tried to tell people who absolutely go out of their minds on Trump. Right. The whole Trump derangement syndrome? Yes, true. Experience it regularly with some of my friends, you can't talk to them at all. Does it on the view all day, long Kendra Santos she's in insane? So this whole thing like, all right. I didn't vote for Barack Obama in either election. I didn't agree with most of the things and as county executive, I literally was in a legal battle with the federal government has county say this whole, if anyone Google's at HUD housing urban development against Westchester county, which is something I inherited when I came in my predecessor, of course, signed this agreement. And so I took office, the first day this agreement and Obama was president, and they were making Westchester the poster child for, like, segregation, and total nonsense was zero proof. But it became a real it became it became heated. It also became unfortunately, they made it, racial, and all this nonsense. So as much as I disliked them on a personal level for what they tried to do to me. I would never ever. React, the way people are reacting against Donald Trump. And I was at I was at the hotel the night, Trump won it. And I remember leaving the hotel at three thirty in the morning and already they was protests. Not my president. You know, just all this craziness and it went on for days, and obviously hasn't stopped. But I'm like, what drives somebody to be that angry that you would spit on somebody's face, now, here Eric Trump is in a restaurant. Yeah. In chicago. Right. And this, this restaurant employee, she Sam, before he to on your own time, you're representing a restaurant, right? I think it was in his property, right? It was a Trump was in Trump property. Oh, I don't know about that. Was there visiting one of the Trump hotels or properties in Chicago? I'm not sure if it was this wasn't this, this is separate restaurant, because the restaurant did issue, an apology say that they're investigating this woman and. This kind of stuff. So I don't think they're affiliated with the show. What do you think would spring up from this? So she spits, which clearly everyone with, with a half a brain say, look. I mean that's gone too far. Right. Okay. She wasn't provoked. She just she can't handle the fact that he's a truck. You just saw him. Right. So she spits wrong reaction. So what do you think springs up from this from all the other drained, people who can't stand thought of Trump is that it's fun me page? Oh. Thousand which probably become more because if it gets any more publicity, everyone would go, and I hate him to my God, and they'll donate money but that's the thing. But okay, so so if you hate Trump, you should be donating money to a congressman, or a presidential candidate that could potentially unseat him. Not, not some waitress, while I'm telling you. I'm telling my fellow Democrats, I'm not that I'm because I'm a democrat away. I tell him I felt that you know, if you do not, like what's going on in the White House. There's other ways you could spend your money on ways. You can use your wallet wisely. You can always make decisions with your wallet. One thing not to do is expect a rate in somebody's face because that makes us all look bad. It really does. I mean I just I feel like that's not the way to plus you know, I it is assault, assault, and Eric Trump when he was here, he said he made a very good point. He said, I mean, the grant granted he is somebody who's involved with politics and Obama's children warrant, they would just children. But still, he made the point that if somebody did that to one of the Obama children, you know, it would be a whole different conversation. You kidding me? It would be there would be assault charges filed. Of course, there's no question about it. And I and I was surprised I said to him. How could you not? I'm angry for you. How could you not file assault charges, and he said, because she's a Durant, it was deranged person who had problems and, and my, I would just make their lives worse. She's probably not like diagnosed mentally, deranged. She's politically, deranged. Right. Right. She's, she's going on with a normal life, actually diagnosis, politically Derain. I mean, you're the psychiatrists psychologists I shouldn't expect psychologists, I should know this sort of thing. But you know that, that feels like an area of study that I should look into politically deranged, it's gotta be. Yeah. Definitely experiencing complete rationality. Yeah. That's the problem. But see, this is the problem that we cannot have a normal conversation with each other and really talk about issues in a way to, to look at an issue in a very realistic way, you know, you and I was saying earlier, that's the problem with a lot of wedge issues. Like, like immigration. Everybody has a side but nobody's doing anything about it, which is yelling at each other..

"Animal party. It's up party. We got dogs cats, and we're talking about spring with us Derain boat. The cat Wrangler cat wrangling made easy is my favorite cat book, and it taught me so many things like about touch in fact, but we'll talk about that later right now. We're gonna talk about spring, so dusty. What about the pollen, what's the issue there for you? Well, I'll tell you, I have pollen allergies. It is insane this time of year. I sound like my nose is always stopped up that can't talk, and I get that Lauren Bacall voice, but the truth is, it's not just me cats. Get these allergy and dogs animals, get these allergies as well. And some cats also have a grass allergies, and I know doggies who have little their feet ballroom, and there's just all kinds of things going on mold, depending on where you are. So spring is beautiful. But it can be a difficult time to be a, a cat or dog who can't tell you. Oh, my son is killing me or g these fleas driving me crazy. And I'm dripping the furrow my skin. So you just have to watch them. Well, I think grooming is huge this time of year, 'cause, you know, you a brush them if they come in all covered in pollen, you're gonna suffer they're going to suffer everybody suffering brush, brush, if you can get a vacuum with a long arm and get your pets to tolerate that, that really helps there's other things to diet can affect things allot, but keeping them clean and hosing them off, especially dogs who've been endured, muddy water water. That's questionable just hose them off. They shouldn't sit in that or have to lick it off and for cats at the same kind of thing, if you know, if they're naked, and they're low to the ground. So if your neighbors spraying pesticides, keep your cat in that day, that's just not. Something he should run through, you know, really speak to the feet. The pads are so exposed all the time. I worry so much about people burning, the pads are cutting the pads off their animals, because, you know, maybe their dogs been inside a lot lately, and it's the first dry hot day in the pavement, scorching and the person's wearing running shoes, doesn't notice, and they take the dog out at noon, and bam. Now the dog's dying gopher, walk it so excited and wants to keep up with its human. So we'll even let on as it's wearing it's pads completely raw. You know, you gotta feel the ground yourself. So spring time when we gotta get ready for the weather, right? Absolutely. I didn't Mike part of the country. A lot of people love their dogs in the back of the pickup and, and take home wherever they're going. And you gotta remember that those pickups at least in our part of the country that metal get scorching hot. So, you know, make sure that, that your dog has some kind of protection. I mean you know, maybe a blanket or. Something if you're going to do that. Well, the other thing, yeah, the other thing about that is the humans inside a cab. So they're in shade often in air conditioning and the dogs outside with winds. So he seems to feel good, but he is actually direct total exposure to the sun, the entire time. There's no shade over him. So that's right. He's getting sunstroke. He's getting heated up piece getting dehydrated. He's getting cranky if he's a normal dog or an older dog or, you know, like it's just not a good a good plan. You got to think this went out a little bit better when traveling with your pets. And in a lot of places you'll get a ticket for that anyway, so it's not it's not. And then they pull you over, they're going to start writing other tickets if their pet lovers what's going on with that retailer? It's going on their tire pressure. Oh, no. I once had a constable on the on the radio when I was on CK L, VM Colona cross Canada network. And this guy this constable came on. He called into the show just to tell people that he's looking for them. And if he sees any. Anybody with a dog loose in the back of a pickup even tied on a leash. If they're not in a correct harness, and they're not provided for adequately. He's gonna find everything wrong he can. And he was, like, warning my listeners. It was like, oh, no. Lancy are what, but you know, he said dogs become missiles, when you put on the very that dogs, eighty pounds becomes eight hundred pounds with the force of the motion, and it kills drivers and passengers. That was his point. That was his issue that it's just not safe. So I understand where they're coming from. But the heat to you gotta really watch. No dogs in cars. No cats in cars. Right. Right. Well, I was getting ready to go there. Yes. Down here it is about, oh, ninety something degrees. And at this moment, so that means five minutes in the car it it'll be like a hundred and ten and twenty minutes. It can get up to a hundred and thirty so no animals in the car and in Texas. I'm happy to tell you that there is a good Samaritan law. And you can break a, you can break a window. If you find an animal, you know, I did by calling, please, but you know it's super hot and you see the animals in distress. I do it even if they didn't have the law. So yeah, yeah. Over.

"Of the last Saturday, twelve fifteen sixteen hours just various things because he never know what's going to happen on my Twitter feed. And again, not political in these cases 'cause you never know. I do everything on my Twitter feed. So sure I'm on radio three hours a day. What about those other twenty one hours? Well, you can find me on Twitter or on Instagram. If you're on Twitter, give me a follow give the Schnitt Twitter account of follow. It's my personal feed on the only one that touches it on the only one that writes, only one the posts it's at Todd Schnitt on Twitter. Give me a follow at t o d D S C H NIT and my Instagram feed is at certified Todd Schnitt. We'll get into Pelosi who's now agreeing with the Ned about the constitutional crisis. I'll get into that in just a bit. But a couple of things as a little follow up here on the Denver situa-. Highlands ranch. Which is you know in the Denver metro in Douglas county in Colorado and the awful shooting at the stem school highlands ranch which happened earlier this week and just a few things that I want to impress upon you those listening or watching and again, if we cannot spend enough time talking about this hero, this Kendrick Custodio eighteen years old just days away from graduating. And you know, it's unbelievable is listening to his parents. His father has been outspoken has done numerous interviews and has talked about his son. In fact, I've got an audio bite that I that I wanna play here. The the father of Kendrick Custodio. I just I can't even imagine as a father of a seventeen year old daughter and a fourteen year old son. I can't even imagine. Having to face. What this family is facing that, you know, their their son with his heroic actions saved others. And that's what so many people are talking about. That's what so many people are remembering regarding Kendrick Custodio eighteen years old. He went to school, and he didn't come home. He's never coming home. And the fact is that other kids would have died other kids would have been shot if he had not charged the shooter, and he paid for this with his life by clearly saving others to spend the moment here to recognize Kendrick Custodio from. This stem highschool in highlands ranch. Who is no longer with us. And then of course, there was that Brendan Bialy. He also helped in the tackle he survived and has also sung the praises of this Kendrick Custodio. But again, let's not lose sight that we had a couple of Derain students. Who executed this plan and is another sidebar here, which is just insane. His a sidebar. To the story regarding one of the students, and this whole gender identity issue and the transition and the name there is a whole big social media rumbling regarding this. So I wanted to discuss that in just a matter of seconds. But also, you know, I it's not just what happened, you know, hirola cly in the Denver area with Kendra Custodio, and then Brendan Bialy neutralizing one of these shooters. Also, let's not forget that we have this college kid in the shooting that happened at the university of North Carolina in Charlotte campus, what a week or ten days ago, we had another student who was also shot and killed by trying to disarm the shooter, and that was Riley howl. So we've got a couple of examples here where clearly heroic students have. Come forward. And have stopped further deaths. They were selfless. They didn't care about their own personal safety. They wanted to stop the shooters, which jeopardised other students. So we've got the Denver story with Kendrick historical. And we have the North Carolina's story on the UNC Charlotte campus with Riley howl and these communities should be indebted to these individuals. Just unbelievable story. So what is this social media uproar here? I can't believe that we have to talk about this. I can't believe that this has to be addressed this is insanity. So as we told you the first student identified was eighteen year old Devon Ericson. He had this purple streak in his hair when he was arrested. His Honda Accord was found in his garage at home with expletives on it an anarchist symbol spray painted on at six six six spray painted on the car first of all. Apparently, there was some rumblings or threats with the hell were the parents and the mother of this. I can't believe this. We we had no idea what wait a minute. What about the spray painting on your kids car? I did you notice this where did the gun where come from where where did he get the gun? And that's always been one of my issues with school shootings is I'm a complete proponent and supporter as many of you know, the second amendment. I'm a gun owner. I believe in gun ownership in gun safety. I believe in concealed carry listen. But but the the question is and this this makes me insane. Are these high profile school shootings that have occurred where the shooter's the kids have had access to these guns and? In many cases, these are lawfully own guns by parents that were not locked up. They had access to these weapons. And that is a problem that these guns need to be locked up. And that is what a responsible gun owner does. Hey, and it's not just a concern. And clearly there are many many guns that are not locked up that you've got teenagers in the house. And of course, the bulk of teenagers are not going to do anything. They know not to mess around with. I get that. But you can't control all the psychos because you I'm going to call some of these kids are mentally disturbed psychos. There's no doubt about it. But also another argument for locking up your guns is in fact, if your house is broken into if your house is burglarized that it would be more difficult, obviously for a thief. A burglar grab your firearm and get that thing out on the street. And who knows what the hell else could happen with that weapon. So it's multifold y. You need to lock up your guts. So what is this little social media pro I can't believe that we have to address this. But the second suspect who wasn't immediately identified because she was a minor. Now, people are getting chastise and yelled at for not calling this other shooter this other individual in this Denver area, shooting not calling them. He or they using the pronoun they because apparently this individual as we told you on yesterday show this individual I reported has seventeen apparently is sixteen years old. And the second suspect was Maya McKinney. But this Maya McKinney is entrenched position is going from a girl to a boy. So there's little gender issue here and wants to be identified and called Alec. So Maya who is a female born female now says not a male and now wants to be called, Alex. There's a whole big uproar people are actually coming to the defense of this individual saying, how dare you call them by their former female name when they've transitioned. Now, you gotta call them either. They or you got call them Alec, which is the new male name in Scranton, screw this. I mean, just. The hell with this like, I'm really concerned about hurting the murderers feelings. Yeah, I'm really worried about offending one of the killers at this school. Can you believe the BS we've got to deal with these days? It's just unbelievable. The thing that is a social media thing that I picked up. In social media circles. Just outrageous eight hundred eight zero one nine ninety nine the nationwide number. That's how you get on here. I wanna play a little just a small chunk of audio from the the parents of one of the heroes, obviously, the families devastated I wanna play this a little bit of audio. John Castillo, the father of Kendrick who was murdered clearly saving others in Douglas county in Colorado this week. So I wanna play a little bit of audio there. And then we'll get into this whole constitutional crisis. Sharon, I mean, this is just a circus act. That's going on here. And that's just scratching the surface today. There's a lot on the table here on Schnitt. Sponsor this half hour on the program pro flowers dot com. I'm looking at my watch because I've got a date on my watch here. And yeah, clocks taken mother's day is coming up quickly. Here. We are. It is now the ninth of. May mother's day is coming up on the twelfth of may. "Basis did these people the six people have devoted guest? Wanting them they all claim they all claim they didn't have enough information. And there was a quote lack of transparency, and that was one of the things the care. Tried to do is pride to make it appear. That sheriff Napier was lying, and she was blatantly unaware of the record keeping systems as the sheriff's it what computer programs the people have access to. And how information would have to be produced and as a result. It was you know, but they were all trying to frame it as the sheriff is trying to hide something, and there's a lack of transparency and and find let's say there's information you need to know the sheriff offered to give them every bit of information. He could throughout the entirety of the year, and we could track everything he also said he'd have monthly meetings with them. You know, if they could approve this. So that we can get started protecting the citizen the Pima county, and they they didn't want to hear that. Because this pretend is open borders and any costs, and unfortunately, it it it, you know, chances are going to cost Pima county a lot more than a million dollars. They voted to refuse and I want people listening to realize that. I mean, everything you said is just insane. The fact that they're lying. They have the agenda. These were people appointed specifically by the supervisors they wanted them there to do this stuff. It. There's no doubt in my mind. I mean, my mind either, frankly, sometimes it seems like they have a coordinated plan between them which would be a violation of open meeting laws. However, I don't know that to be true. But it certainly appears as an experienced observer of people that they have a plan and the conversation moves around the room in a plan methodology, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man that is that is in San anything else that was that was not being reported on. And I tried to watch all the video, and it was tough. I don't know you sat there for three hours. The video was so short because there's a lot more that went on that. But no, frankly, it was the same stuff over and over again, and it was the same silly question. And it was just you know, grit your teeth until you get the opportunity to actually discussed the issue. But the discussion part was actually really short because their minds are made up. Couple of got to say what we needed to say on behalf of the citizens of county. But frankly, they're more concerned about the the welfare of people in Central America and Mexico and wherever else they wanna come from. I mean, they just got somebody in Yuma that was from Syria. So God only knows the rest of the types of people based support coming over here. But the issue is larger than illegal immigration or immigration is about protecting us from drugs. Sex trafficking of our children and women, and frankly, the other types of trafficking that occur where people are held hostage in a little bit more money from their families back wherever they come from Terry, man. Thank. You for the time and letting us know what happened there because the the rest of the media doesn't do a damn thing about it. And you're giving us the blow by blow man. And I really do appreciate it. And I hope you don't go back up. Steve Christie says enough of this stuff this this whole organization it it's not worth. It's it's it's a joke. It's not even worth your time. It shouldn't be taken seriously. Yeah. Well, I agree. It shouldn't be taken seriously. And I hope the board of supervisors can see that. 'cause this board is a joke, and we need to concentrate on real policy perfume, accounting, not pandering to a bunch of groups that are frankly, just anti-american, Anton, I wish harm Derain Terry parish. Thank you for the time. This morning, man. Have a great day. Thank you to you. Got it. Eight twenty six we'll continue right here on kaneohe. Gary Lewis, you think that's bad. You know, it's almost as bad is pretty bad the water the water life, and I with couple of friends went and did a mud run on Sunday. A three mile run is obstacles and everything. And they had a couple of water stations like after every mile and the first thing that was asked by every person whenever to water station wasn't me the people as water taste as the big jugs of water has. And they go it's not bad, and I tried it was pretty gross, but it had to drink it because I was thirsty. And I'm telling you, that's how bad the water is and people are always skeptical. But that's why in my house. We have our Connecticut water system. We have a Connecticut whole house filtration system. You can get it to Connecticut. You want the best water it tastes the best. You.

"She hadn't told anyone. And then she need me in my back. I will never forget this person for this. And I'll tell you why I'll know where she is right now what she's doing. But this is somebody who let me catch my L in private someone that let me fail emprie. It didn't take my worst moment. And then broadcast to everyone didn't take my worst moment. And then tell everyone made me feel bad about something that already happened. Somebody who respected me enough to let me fail without making me a pariah sexually she let me live. She didn't have to she could've done whatever she wants. You could tell whatever she probably did. Or maybe she did. I don't think she did. But who knows I all I know is that that particular point. She let me fail in private. I say all that until all that long drawn out story say this and the particular time that we live now, not only are we not letting each other fail in private. We're not letting ourselves fail and private. We're not giving us room to grow from things that we do wrong because what we're doing is taking every single horrible moment that we have as people and broadcast it to millions of people who do not know us. We're taking opinions that we have that. We haven't fully vetted. And we're telling everyone before we tell the people who we trust in order to work through these opinions and get to a better understanding of issues. We're taking incidents that happen to us. Broadcasting them everywhere from before we take the opportunity to step back and go was I right about that. Am I seeing that the right way if I have problems with people issues people that might be problematic that might be offensive that might not be well thought out? Why do I talk to people that I trust about these things? Why don't I? Tell my ill shit my ridiculously bad takes an opinions to people who can help me work through them before. I tell a bunch of people who don't know me because if you show people the ugly side of you. They'll take things that are beautiful about you and made them ugly. But if you take the time to at least try to beautify yourself, maybe your ugly will seem a little bit less ugly under the spotlight. Stop rushing to show everyone just how fucked up you are stop trying to be such the center of attention in every single situation to where you come off looking like a damn fool every time. Well, relative insanity is the game that actually makes everyone funny just by playing the punchline cards. You wanna be funny? Get relative insanity at WalMart and Amazon. So we're to determine who is going to win the Super Bowl with great tease vibrator races. I've never experienced this one before Ono. Anyway, I think it's been accurate every year has it has it maybe not. But I'm just saying probably not fake news. It is total to a great tea. Actually, he's going to set up the race track. And then he turns the vibrators on. They will vibrate down the race track. One. We'll get to the finish line. First in that vibrator represents the team that will win on Sunday. Okay. I would like dividers to be brought in the room. I because yesterday it was obvious that that pats vibrator was with better battery it was and so I would like to make sure that the batteries were chain. Also, how do you make sure a vibrator doesn't cheat? And by the way, again, you know, I've made it very clear that I am a patriots fan for the Super Bowl and some people Johnny as well from Boston. Yeah. Okay. And well, and then some people are Rams fans. And that's fine. I don't care, but don't just because someone doesn't want the same team to win that you want to win doesn't mean you have to shut them out of your life that is called being stupid. Anyway, I I didn't mind it when someone made a joke, you know, we should do a drinking game where we take a shot every time. The patriots cheat. It's a funny joke. Yes. You know? I don't think they're going to cheat. Whatever you never think it's going to happen. It happened sometimes in life. We have to cheat and that's part of life. Oh. Okay. All right. So great to you setting up the vibrator racetrack look at that as that racetrack specifically designed for this purpose for vibrator Ray. Wow. Great. Thi this is gonna hit that flow. Greg. Greg. I'm really have to move it. Greg reef to plan ahead. You're are. Okay. Anyway. Yeah. As you can see this race track set up for five vibrators. How could we have so many so many lanes lane? We immediately built it for a multi vibrator Ray. Yes. Okay. So years ago, you said, you know, what this will be fun if we had vibrators racing. Yes. So you said critique make me a racing board. So I came up with the cold. It's the gay tone of five hundred. Tone of five hundred a why we call it the gay tone of five hundred it was just what you create. All right. All right. So anyway, we're only going to exist lines on the two lanes will be used for the two vibrators. So I said after we were done. Well, what do we do at this thing now? And let's just keep it. You never know when we're gonna use it again and this show, you never know. So we have used it in years past now to do the same thing and figure out exactly which team will win the Super Bowl. So that's what we're doing. Now now Danielle wishes to inspect the vibrators to make. Okay. Funny business Cohen. All right hand her. The there's the patriots. The patriots is the red vibrator the Rams of the white vibrator. This is the Rams. Let me see. All right. That's right. Okay. All right. I like how you have a system testing vibrators. But we have that refrain don't talk about it be about it. And that's I think central to boots Riley's politics and also his his work. And so other aspect of the story is I think before I got in that van I wanted to be prince. And so, and and I was taking guitar and piano and trumpet. And but I didn't want to practice as much as prints. Did. I just want to be able to do that. And, but I then started seeing how much music really helped with things I had written a play for the for the for school calm. So the teacher asked for a Oakland version of west side story, so east Oakland east side story, and I wrote wraps and I had never ridden wraps before. And nobody let nobody laughed or booed. So I was like, oh, maybe I could do that. And later when we were, you know, a few years later, we were organizing in these projects called double rock in San Francisco going door to door selling newspapers kind of organizing around this vague notion of fight racism. I don't know what what that means. And I don't I don't think we did then. But it was like join an organization to fight racism. That was our basic. Pitch. One Sunday that we went the day before something had happened that everybody told us about what happened was these two twins. That were eight years old were stopped by the police the police claim they were selling drugs and police felt like they didn't cooperate with them. Started trying to take them into the car and ended up people saw them beating the kids. Rossi Hawkins their mother ran down to stop them. And she started getting beaten to and the whole project saw this, and they all ran out and the cops got scared shot up in the air. And if you've ever been around a gun going off, the only logic usually will know is get the hell away from here. You know? Let me get away. How do I? And so everybody ran, but at some point everybody ran back and by the end of the night. There was a turned over police cars and the police ran out of there without their guns. And they got Rossi Hawkins center kids to the hospital. This was the summer of nine thousand nine hundred eighty nine and the biggest hit on the radio was public enemy fight the power. And somebody started chanting as they were running away fight the power fight the power fight. Then they all started chanting it and they ran back. It made me see that, you know, what place music could have, you know, a rallying cries it said, so right, then on a new, okay? This is what I have to do problem was I wasn't. I had written those wraps, but I wasn't a rapper wasn't good and just being involved in a disciplined organization up to their made me realize that that was just an obstacle that. That didn't make it impossible. It just made me realize that I had to figure out how to get good. So that I could do this. I'm interested in knowing. You'd gone to film school for a couple of years. Right. And then you decided to be a musician, and while also organizing when did the dream that you'd had of of making film when did that reawakened for you? And when did you start pursuing a script writing and thinking about projects are headed to be clear? I by the time, I started doing music, I pretty much stopped organizing our head of period where we where did quit music again and start organizing at never really Mabel to do both at the same time. I did this project with Tom Morello called street, sweeper, social club and just half a clap and. And we made songs, but it wasn't satisfying. And I came out of that really wanting to create something that was all out of my brain. And you know, you could create a whole world with a Phil. I I had the idea that I was going to make films in my head the whole time. Thank you. Thanks for having me. Thank you. "Six fifteen check on traffic. Now, here's Don I've got a wreck right now. This is going to be around seventy one as you approach Owen tax. So that's a little bit slow right there, and usual delay certainly Bill on northbound thirty-five starting at about slaughter right now looks like you're slow up to stash, and you have that rain out there. So be careful Don prior with Austin's on time. Traffic is Heather zehr. Overcast and cold today with periods of rain and drizzle Derain will be heavy at times. We'll have a high only near forty degrees from the weather center. I'm Heather zehr. The Todd and Don show Jennifer checking in from Jonestown good morning. Good morning. I'm just so confused. How you said earlier that after running the story about the eight year old and the dog that you were getting a lot of text messages from people saying that they need to calm down. At the fact that the police were called shouldn't have happened. And I'm thinking, I just don't know how you can run the true stories next to each other. And then have. So much backlash against the police being called because I haven't shopped at route twenty one for a while. But I'm assuming the the girl that was in the dressing room that had to go through the man trying to grab her was older than eight. And in the middle of a store in front of all the people, including the parents, you can possibly be kidnapped. Then I just don't understand what even type of chance. Eight year old little girl walking down a street running. I have I can be honest with you here. I have never been in route twenty one is is that mainly of girls clothing store. It is absolutely mainly a girl's clothing store. Why the hell what a what a man be walking in that store alone. Exactly. Why would an eight year old girl though, be outside in this day and age walking for does it depend on the neighborhood. Maybe I I don't think, unfortunately, when we're doing news stories about the Molly girl that I just was abducted and taken and they found her body, and it sucks that the world has gotten to this point does knowing that I. With when it comes to your kids. Why just go walk the dog? So you consider this mom, you consider her irresponsible. You really don't think. She's a good mother. I didn't say that at all. She could be the coolest person or we could end up being best friends if we ever met, but on that. No. I would absolutely call her insane. I would never ever in say, yes. Basically what you're saying that she may not be an irresponsible parent, but she is taking a chance she's risking her child. But I don't think that a mother should ever take on.
