October 23, 2018: Hour 2
Washington Post reporter Ashley Parker fact-checks some of President Trump's claims at a campaign rally in Houston on Monday, and looks at why they're being made two weeks before the midterms. Also, some cities have banned dockless electric scooters. But others, like Washington, D.C., have welcomed the emerging mode of transportation. We check in with the District of Columbia's Department of Transportation about how that's going. And International Data Group, IDG, is known as one of the most influential media empires in the world. But it was started out of MIT graduate Patrick McGovern's house in Newton in 1964. Author Glenn Rifkin, who worked for McGovern, examines his late boss's legacy in the book "Future Forward." That and more, in hour two of Here & Now's Oct. 23, 2018 full broadcast.
