"Brandon and ayuk has been getting glowing reviews in camp. They've got deebo. They've got kittle. They got a bunch of backs. I just love mobile quarterbacks. And you don't need to be the most accurate quarterback from a fantasy perspective. If you can run with the ball to be a starter, you remember Tim Tebow? I mean, that dude would throw passes that looked like they were shot in midair. And he was a viable fantasy starter because of what he could do with his feet. And that's why I love Lance this year. I think he could be this year's Jalen hurts. Interesting. As for George pickens, listen, I mean, there's questions about the Steelers offense because there's no more Big Ben. Trubisky is, well, trubisky, Kenny pickets, a rookie. You've got Deontay Johnson in the mix there as well. Chase claypool's in the mix. But I could see pickens, maybe jumping and in fact, I've got pickens and claypool really close in terms of wide receiver rankings right now. Claypool potentially is a guy that utilized in the slot and they'll have pickens and DJ on the outside there. But I do like the talent, I don't know that pickens is gonna come out light the world on fire like Jamar chase. I don't think there's that wide receiver in The Rookie class. Okay. I don't think there's like that Justin Jefferson or Jamar chase. I mean, listen, a lot of talented guys, you know, Drake London, quarterback situation is a little bit questionable there in Atlanta, and that's putting it lightly. Same thing with the jets with Garrett Wilson. I like Elijah Moore a heck of a lot more than I like Wilson, this upcoming season. But I do think people tend to get a little nuts, like the Isaiah pachenko. Oh, goodness. Yeah. He's insane. And okay. You want to pay attention to what's going on in the preseason, but I mean, you also got to take it with a little bit of a grant saw. Jeez Louise. Like, yeah. Maybe Ronald Jones doesn't make the roster and Pacheco is in the mix in a three headed backfield, but injuries would have to occur for him to get a chance to really make an impact. So yeah, I mean, you're obviously paying attention to these players. Look at what Isaiah likely did. Jewish. Doesn't mean I'm drafting him. Right, right? How much 12 has Roman run? I mean, maybe it's just because he didn't have the personnel, but I don't know that he's going to make a massive impact. A lot of rookie tight ends do not.

"All right, fine. All right, so go, sorry, I spoiled yours, go ahead. It's okay. My favorite pick is you really didn't think you would like taekwondo. I really don't think you'd like them. I still need to see on the field that he's going to translate to the Patriots offense, right? That's my biggest concern with taekwon Thornton is the limited route tree, the lack of ability at the top of the route. That is where I'm concerned of, okay, where is he fit? How did they turn him into more than Nelson Aguilar was last year? Or Philip Dorsett was or demure bird was, right? They need to get more out of him than those players were in this patriots offense. How did they get him there? Is going to be a big question. But I think that the other thing that I look at with taekwondo and first of all, the release at the line of scrimmage gets me gets me giddy about him because the Patriots have not had somebody that explosive and that's had that ability to move laterally off of press coverage. Maybe ever. That I've seen, at least covering the team. Right. And they don't really have guys on their roster that can cross over guys at the line of scrimmage, get up the field and blow past people. Like that skill set doesn't really exist too much with the Patriots. So I like the main reason beyond his tape and beyond his evaluation. The main reason why I like taekwon thorin and I love the pick so much is they took a swing and wide receiver in the top 50. They took a chance on a guy that has some upside. They finally did it. Like I think that the last couple of drafts because they took him to kill Harry in the first round. They stayed away from wide receiver as all this wide receiver talent entered the league. All these guys come in in 2020 and 2021. Their stars, their solid role players, their starters, even a guy that's not Jamar chase like a Deontay Johnson in Pittsburgh, right? It would have been a great fit here. You know, these guys are all coming in. And the Patriots finally took a swing on one of these guys that's coming in. "All those guys are now set to be free agents. None of them obviously were first round picks. So they're all on expiring deals. When you look at the Patriots flexibility, we talked about this a little bit with Miguel when we brought him on early in the off season and he discussed the issues of the Patriots tab with draft capital. They don't have the capital like Miami did to make that tyreek hill trade happen. They don't have the capital to outbid some of these other teams when these guys come available. But that entire draft class is now looking for their payday and all of them have earned it, even in the Chad Nixon Deontay Johnson from Pittsburgh. As another one, not necessarily on the DK Metcalf, AJ Brown level, but still a really good player. So all those guys are due for contracts, all those guys could be moved at any time at this point. It feels like just because we've seen how rocky this gets. Any one of these guys decides that they want out, there comes the trade. This is turning a lot more into the NBA. And I don't necessarily like it, but that's kind of where we're at now where players don't necessarily need to honor contracts and they can force their way out of situations and this is what we're at. This is where we're at. In terms of the Patriots and all these guys, I just don't see the Patriots ever giving up the draft capital to pull off a trade like Miami made for tyreek hill. Giving up Bill Belichick four or 5 picks to then go ahead and pay somebody $20 million a year over a four or 5 year contract. To me, I don't ever anticipate Bill Belichick being willing to part with that much investment for one player that's not a quarterback. Maybe you would do that for a prime star caliber quarterback, but then I don't even think so. So I don't know if the Patriots are going to be interested in any of these guys. Maybe if they hit free agency next off season, they could throw a bag at somebody. But in terms of losing draft capital and paying the guy, it seems a little bit lofty to expect the Patriots to get involved in that. Yeah, again, not all these guys are going to get moved..

"Are third in the AFC north, but they're capable, man. Like the Steelers are not awful. And they certainly, I'm not ready to count them out of the mix either yet. I really think with Big Ben, playing the way he's playing, he's experienced. I got some talent. If they can get healthy, Pittsburgh, at the end of the year, can get healthy. They could go on a run and I am not ready to, like I feel like there's like 50 teams in the AFC right now that have it shot, but the steel is their team, if they get healthy, which that's a big if, but if they do, they're very, very capable football team. And I feel like they could peak at the end of the year. Now I wanna give a shout out to Pittsburgh receiver deante Johnson. Dude is a Chase claypool, Deontay Johnson. They got a couple of receivers there. And I also wonder, I don't think Philadelphia is going to move on from Jalen hurts. The other quarterback in Pennsylvania. But if for some reason, Philadelphia decided they're done, because also, the draft class isn't great for quarterbacks and it looks like Philly's going to have three first round picks. Did my voice crack? You might have caught that if you did, hey, I'm a human being. It's hard to talk this long. Weird thought, but I had to thought during this game. I'm like, the Steelers are not terrible. They've got naji Harris. They've got some good weapons there in Pittsburgh, like the Johnson is awesome. Daddy Johnson was gonna give him a shout out, had 7 catches for a 101 yards and a touchdown against LA in LA. I think Deontay Johnson is awesome. And this steelers football team, they might consider bringing back Big Ben because I don't know what else they're gonna do at quarterback. Like, big band is playing good enough that I would not be shocked if they're like, hey, one more year. I thought this was the final year, but he's playing well enough now that I would actually bring him back based on the fact that I don't know what else to stealers are going to do. "He got one of the assistant equipment managers to go out before and after every practice and during training camp. And now he's continuing into the season working on different drills. Not only the jugs machine but in catching tennis balls one handed. The steelers played like garbage in the first half but in the second half they played a much better game. The bills are one dimensional anything. That's something that should worry a lot of people when it comes to the bills is if you have josh allen. And they're going up against good defense. That's going to be a problem because the bills are one. Dimensional and defenses will exploit that and the steelers definitely exploited that today and they played a much better game than they did late in the season. Which i expected because the sewage were banged up. They weren't playing well and the bills exploited and they won that game. This is a september game. The steelers were ready to play this game. They were healthy and they yes. Yesterday played terrible first half but they played a lot better in the second half. And you know what i think ben rothlisberger if the steelers can just throw the ball deep in stop with these wide receiver screens and all that and just go work down the middle of the field and throw it from silent to sideline and stuff like that. They could be a decent. He could be a decent fantasy quarterback again this year because he has the weapons for it. It's just you know. He struggles at times but again. I don't really think you should worry about like the production of josh allen and digs because they will play very well in a lot of games and i think this was just one of those games where they were playing against the healthy steelers defense. Which is one of the top defenses in the league and they got exposed and i definitely do think they'll have more favorable matchups during the year. The bottom of the list is what struck me Roethlisberger, Fitzpatrick, Rivers, Brady Smith Breeze and Garoppolo. Dell read tweeted. It took me 15 seconds to find the Steelers on the chart. I went through it three times because you because I I I enlarged the chart from your tweet. And I figured, Okay, you know, Pittsburgh's got to be. I'm going to guess near the bottom because the point is, you could have a really great pass Russian. If Rothenberg gets the ball out at 1.78 seconds, it really doesn't matter. So I'm looking. I'm like, Uh huh. I did a quick look like No Steelers logo. All right, let me try this again. Baltimore Washington. Okay. Vanna Eagles? Yeah. Yet the third time through like, nice not see the Steelers logo there at the bottom. You actually have to go into the basement and open a trap door and go into the sub underneath like the crawl space. But again, that's you know, Mahomes takes a little longer because you're keeping plays alive. And Donald. Everybody else's under the NFL average. Yeah, I mean, look, I'm not expecting I'm not expecting the bills to get a ton of sacks on Sunday, because I think again if your if your Pittsburgh you absolutely Have to have a game plan that tells Ben Roethlisberger get the ball out past We've overhauled our offensive line. The guy at right tackle is more comfortable and better at left tackle, But he has to play right tackle. The center is a rookie. The left tackle is what a third or fourth round pick who's been having trouble with speed rushers in the preseason. Um it's not exactly the greatest formula their guards are okay. But they're two tackles in their center or a question Mark. That's not a great formula to have Ben Roethlisberger. Wait an extra split second or two for Chase Claypool or Juju. Smith. Schuster, Deontay Johnson. They get open down the field, get the heck the ball out. I mean, I just I think that would be a really important part of their game plan. On on Sunday against the Bills. If not, I think they're asking for disaster and asking for Rothenberger to take a pounding. So this is probably not the best game to think. Well, this is where the five sack performance comes. Even though you tell you I think the defensive line is better. I like the addition of Obama. I'm really looking forward to watching Russo on Sunday to see what he can do. Maybe that does create a little bit more pressure in the middle in pat in passing situations, But I just I'm not sure that you're going to get a whole bunch of Saxon less Roethlisberger's holding onto the ball and the offensive line breaks down. And we just got done talking to Sam Monsoon about the Steelers, and I think that there was some interesting content there, um, about them. And how, At least in Sam's view if I heard it, all right, and I'm pretty sure I did. That, um, you know, maybe there's been a bit of an overreaction to how the Steelers finished the year like, you know, Sam told you watching them start 11 last year. There were holes they were. They were getting pretty lucky. I think, whether you study, uh, data or you just watch football like like an old guy like me. Um and I try to do a little of both. But just watch it again. You can tell like this is not this team is that they are the Washington game. They're just they're They're the Dallas game. They were. They were fortunate. You still have that perfect record as long as they did the and eventually the bottom did fall out of it, But they did still win a lot of football games, even with whatever flaws they have. So I think what you here I think a lot is And that's why I appreciate Alan, with the reminder there about how tight the last two games were against the Steelers, at least at the half anyway. That you know like this. This is this is a team that I think You watch them get blown out in the playoffs, and I admitted it to to Sam. Like I I thought Brady was shot. I thought rivers we talked. We talked about rivers being shot in here. Joe like three times a week at the end of the 19 season before the 2020 season began. I mean, I just I was convinced of it. And so there's a lot. There's a temptation to do a lot of the same thing with Raffles Burger and, you know, I guess we'll see. You know, it's a new coach, and it's a new system and they got a new running back. And we'll just like, put all that in the blender and see what what we get on Sunday, out of them. But I don't think that they are a real threat. As far as like the Super Bowl goes, but they could be. I don't know. They could be as much of a threat is New England might be or Miami even right is that is that fair? They're a team that you could see the wild card weekend. Yeah, if you're hosting a playoff game, and you don't get to buy like, you can see Pittsburgh, right? That's how I see them like playoff contender, not Super Bowl contender. They just That Roethlisberger the first thing I think about the offences, Andrew Philip Pony telling you guys last year that big Ben doesn't want to get hit. Yeah, like And to me that made the offence Incredibly one dimensional doesn't breed the The play action like you talked about earlier like there's no creativity to it. There's no pre step motion. It's just Roethlisberger drops back to pass, and he throws a quick five yard dump off to Deontay Johnson or Juju Smith, Schuster and like that's their offense, and once a game, he takes a shot downfield. Claypool and to me when you get into a game with the bills or the Chiefs, or Even the Browns or the Ravens. Like teams that can really score. I don't think they have the horses to keep up offensively. Their defense is great. The coaching I think is great, but eventually you're going to have to do something on offense and they don't have the line. I don't think they have the quarterback to really get that done. I think that's all right. And so You know, but but again, like I guess my starting point is You know, we're all excited about the opener. And, um The narrative. All summer has been. The Steelers are down. They're not what they were Maybe a good way to put it. Actually, I just thought of it is that the Bills and Steelers are sort of flipped roles from last year. I mean, the bills were a playoff team last year. Excuse me Like going into the 2020 season. There are playoff team in 2019. The Steelers with Ralph Was Burger generally had been, uh, a F C contender. You know, most years and last year, I think going into the year they were that they in Baltimore were thought of as like that. Those are the kingpins of that division. And now the bills are the contender. Conference contender, Super Bowl contender and the Steelers are just you know, a good team in the FC. I'll I'm doing is saying, like, Look, I'm reminding myself as much as everyone who's listening to me that the they're not. You're not playing Detroit here. You know, they won. They won a lot of games. Even with their flaws. They do have some elite talent. What I think is a big piece there. Although I'm not misremembering this and I he Darryl Williams swallowed him whole in that game last year, didn't he? Yeah, He did Nothing in that game, right? That was him. Yeah. Seems so invisible. I gotta remember that was him. He played right? Um, So you know, I don't want to say like, I don't care if he plays because he's a super talent. There's no question and you know, he might have just had a bad day or a guy had a good day. But as I remember it, Darryl Williams did not get a lot of help. And he just He just did the job. "Also has a bit of an advantage built in if they don't take advantage. I think we have a I think we have some questions here. Well, there's there's two things about that. So we talked about this at length in the seven o'clock segment. You know, the Steelers offensive line might be in rough shape Might might have some questions. The Bills defensive line You know they're they're going to try to prove a point most of the season. Last year, they sacked Roethlisberger. One time on 37 drop backs and 37 passes. Times. I should say, I'm not sure if they're all If you would have scrambled once or twice, but His sack percentage last year was under 2% in terms of how many past attempts it takes to get to him. He does not get sacked a lot. The ball is out. So while you make the point about the offensive line the counter to that is what will Pittsburgh's plan B? There changed. They've changed their offensive coordinator. Maybe they're going to try deeper drops. Maybe going to try play action. Maybe we'll try. Help hold up long enough, so it might kind of be the perfect storm where they decide we can't run that kind of fast passing offense against the bills that didn't work last time. It's not going to work against this group. And try to put him into positions of deeper drops and hope the line holds up. So I I agree with you. I think it's the most fascinating part of this matchup is how the new Steelers offense looks what it looks like and how the defensive line can get there if they even have the time to If they can, if they can hold up, and they want Ben to throw a little deeper. That's a recipe to to to hurt the bills because I don't think the bills are going to be expecting that they're gonna expect to get to him quicker. They're probably expect some Quicker passes. Um, you know that that might be the challenge, but it could be exactly what it was last year. The Steelers did not throw the ball down the field last year, It was get the ball out. Ben didn't want to sit back there. He wanted to throw the ball early. Remember that? That was another big thing was. They had a lot of drops from receivers even on those short passes the first play in Buffalo. I think it was Deontay Johnson dropped the pass right in his hands like three yards off the line of scrimmage. And that was like, Oh, my God. This has been happening to this team, especially Johnson to he's been. He's battled that a lot. Yeah, And and I think they want to get back to running the ball a lot. Najee Harris, Right? I mean, I think they want to do that. I just don't know if I guess what I'm saying. Guys is this If the Steelers offense has success against the Bills offensive defensive line. We have some serious questions about this season because that's not supposed to happen. Sean McDermott said it last week to us when he spoke the last time he spoke. I think great news that Harrison Phillips hasn't been in a Red jersey now. That doesn't mean he's going to be ready for week one. But I just think that that's a really good sign. Um, I think that's that's one to monitor because who's your return, man? If it's not Isaiah, Isaiah can't go week one. You don't have Marquis Stevenson. He's on IR. He cannot play. You have to pluck somebody else off the roster in the most likely candidate would be Micah Hyde, who Has done that. But again, like you said, Kick return. I don't think they put him in that position. You When you treated out the depth chart yesterday, you did make sure you mentioned it is unofficial. So don't look at the depth chart as Bible. But having said that anything you took away from the first step chart. Cody Ford still listed as a starting right guard. John Feliciano is a starting left guard my senses. It'll be like that. So i'm in the running extra thinning out so i gotta take one but if i did that i would be taking james robinson type of player over a wide receiver. That i think is much better. Someone like People love demar chase and odell beckham there on the board there upside versus one of those running backs i think is is significantly higher. Are you going down the adp. "All about big ben. Is the arm actually better. That is now become a focus out of The news that's being reported out of The the pittsburgh camp talking about it was like three tendons that had to get repaired for big ben. He came back rather quickly. They changed the entire offense. Because ben did not have the deep ball last year. Which normally he's he's okay at it but it was clear it was gone but is the arm better. He's really old. You yards most arms. Don't get like the goal of quarterback he's like. Hey can i keep it the same year. Thirty eight to year thirty nine but there is a chance that his arm is actually better and even with the bad arm. Big ben was still want a seventeen game pace of forty three hundred passing yards and thirty seven passing touchdowns. That's a lotta production to go around for your wide receivers. The team is all in. Pittsburgh is going to ride or die with big ben for one more year. It's mason rudolph yet again as the backup quarterback and they know they know what they have a mason rudolph and it is not a starting quarterback. Think they know what they don't have. Yes they they have. They don't and as mason rudolph is there to help out practice and not come in and be the starting quarterback but since two thousand says the year two thousand rookie wide receivers with ten or more receiving touchdowns. It's just a handful of guys. Oto beckham junior tyreek hill. Mike evans calvin ridley mike williams and chase claypool now. Aside from mike williams who mike williams is a good wide receiver in the nfl. It just has not worked for fantasy football but that other list of names. Those were superstars. I kind of stumbled into that one number. Two oto beckham was league winning wide receiver for many years. Now he was elite. Ever knows it doesn't even factor in that claypool hat. He snuck in a couple of rushing touchdowns like so they have that option as well at the goal line. but what. The big ben's older is the arm actually better. I know it's so hard because on the surface all of the measurable 's you know year to the. There's so much to like klay. The box scores when juju really started to hit for fantasy football. It was the second half of the season which is when chase claypool was like. I said a wide receiver four or or worse for the those final six games. Was that a matter of of arm fatigue. Was it a matter of the play calling because the offensive line couldn't hold up to pressure. There's there are so many questions for the pittsburgh passing attack. But i'm going to bet on the talents of chase claypool and him improving into that second year all makes sense. I think i've moved myself to the place where i'm not going to give the benefit of the doubt to the steelers offense since brown left from that point on it. There's always been lots of ribbons of why they could be better. And i'm not gonna give it until it manifests. Yeah i think that's a fair approach I i lean on the side. That i think there's going to be value to be had in. Pittsburgh is going to be hard to know where is gonna come from but is easily the most talented physical athlete of of their You know maybe he's not the best wide receiver but he's certainly the best athlete. All right my second and final fantasy. Wow cod is dallas daughter yes. Dallas goddard could absolutely be league winner this year every single year there tends to be some titan. You get late or not in the top five six guys who ends up saying oh i'm here now. It was mark andrews for awhile. Then was darren waller. It's like these guys who they take a step up to be the next important fantasy option That could be. Tj hawkins is that could be no affair that could be dallas. Got it and i want to talk about his range of outcomes Because i think they are very very wide And i think the dallas gutter he could legitimately be right now. They're best pass catcher for the eagles. He could be their best pass catcher. And he could legitimately be their number one target this season. He could target smith and jalen rager. He could be the go-to guy That is within the range of outcomes owner. he could be the third target in this offense Obviously we expect slightly smaller passing pie with jalen hurts as the quarterback because he's going to rush for one thousand yards is not going to throw for forty five hundred yards You know we see that. With lamar jackson that being said the defense of the of the eagles are nowhere near as good as the defense of the ravens and the rushing ability of hurts is not as good as Lamar jackson you also have the fact that he's going to for the first time as a season we expect be without zach ertz and we've got four games without zach ertz where more. Pr points more receptions more yards more touchdowns per game. It just makes sense. If he's the main tight end zach ertz is not there. You're going to get more targets more yards and he's coming into the phase of your career going in a year four As a tight end where he could really take that step forward and if you want a perfect example of his range of outcomes how he could be great and how he could be bad. You can look at the two games that he had with. Jalen hurts last year. So jalen hurts. Played four and in the third game. Dow scott got injured left halfway through in the didn't play in the fourth. Those first two games that he played with hurts. He led the team in both games in targets. So an in in both of those games zach ertz was still playing down. Gutter with jalen hurts. Was the number one target in the team and his fancy finished. The nothing were tightened. Twenty and tight end twenty-five i've seen enough. I've seen enough dallas. Got it over the past three years to know what he isn't and i don't think he can be their number one target. I don't think he'd be a pr tight end in this league. So you and i disagree If i had to put my chips. I i think the same. Well i mean when you rank these guys and you're putting. I think you're putting that That you're taking those those median solid. He's very solid probable outcomes. And i think he will be You know he could be a mike kosinski from last year where it's like turkey. He's okay he's better than you kind of expect it and was fined for fantasy but he didn't take that breakout leap..

That might really be a big part of this football team but aren't really being talked about a lot. We could go a bunch of different ways with this. You can justify a lot of players. But i would say that someone like benjamin todd rothlisberger even najji harass. People are talking about them. That's not a sleeper. That's not something that's going to sneak up on wild. Where did this guy come from. Never expected this. We have a list. We both have a list and we're going to go through these players. Say who is going to be asleep. I just thought of another one down there all right so brian no particular order. You're gonna start on offense or defense. Let me start on offense again you know. Look at all these wide receivers at the have and we can get into the conversation to the steelers have a true one. I don't care. I'm talking about the talent that they have makes them a one when you combine them all. It does not matter to me. Gone are the days of fourteen touchdowns by one dude and dominating. Mr mr abie mr. There's one guy that when he gets his opportunity he's always comes up huge but it sparingly and it's james washington our good friend grandpa strong so i'm bringing up number thirteen when i say that he could be a sleeper that goes to the next level this year because his contract. We'll be up this year and we're talking about how jujubes playing for another contract again. You have a guy in chase claypool that is looking to send to the top of the mountain. Make a big jump from one year to and you have deontay johnson. That has a lot to prove this year. But he's he's on the radar. That's the thing these are guys. That aren't really on the radar. And when you don't wanna do you think of all those guys you're not going to put. You're really not putting james washington in the top three. Now he has talent. He has tons of talent he is strong. He's a fighter. he's a clutch guy. But if he comes out strong in the first few weeks of the season and bettas trusting them maybe one of those other guys gets an injury he can put up a year. That would really would. Rival would rival the rest of the team as far as the of the stables wide. Receivers in i would be really comfortable in saying that. He's going to get a big contract in free agency if he has a good year. So i'm picking james washington as one of my top sleepers yay sadly. We've got an up close and personal look at a lot of these running backs whether it's najji harass you getting a lot of eyeballs on him but also anthony. Mcfarland has not missed a workout yet. He is looking really really fast. The nets never been an issue with him but he just looks a. He looks like he's that change of pace back that the steelers could really really use you. Think that everything that nausea harris does well. You know you talk about his vision. His lateral quickness his burst. His size is strength. It's all great.
