"Why don't you come back and try rank is our Denver 7 insider. He is presented by Rx rocks heating and air joins us now on the Johnson auto Plaza hotline morning Troy. Morning guys. Try how are you? How are you, buddy, go ahead. It didn't sound like I was on your own. Can you hear this? Sound great. I can hear sounds great. Good. Hey man, free agency right around the corner. And we all sit here and speculate, what will they do? What will be the path they take? Do you see them being super ultra aggressive, patching holes in free agency? Do you see that being kind of the strategy of Sean Payton is crew? I think they're going to be probably at like one position. They're going to have to pick their going to pick a place to go and be aggressive, but they can't address multiple holes that way now. They're going to have more cap room, we fully expect the likely cut ground glass Cal Ronald Darby, chase Edmonds to clear cap space. So they should be operating with a decent amount and let's say 35 to 40 million. And so do you address right tackle? And they're facing the prospect of having the 8th new late tackle and 8 consecutive years on opening day. And typically in free agency is backfired from Stevenson to menelik Watson to be mentioned a guy and it hasn't worked out. But this year's free agent class with Caleb mccarry, juwan Taylor. I mean, there's some guys that are younger that are, frankly, better than some of the guys they've tried in the past. So would you take a stab there? I really like the Gary. Because of his run blocking, just coming out of a great year. But do you take a step there? Mark, or do you say no? We're going to try to go cheap at outside and tackles and invest in the interior. And try to get two starters, you know, garden center, I think you have to look at that. I do think they're going to try to find a veteran running back. And then you can do that in the second wave though. There's so much trade in running backs. And they've been connected to Kareem hunt. Deontay forman is going to be out there. There's some running backs that are going to be available. I don't know if you can wait on those two specifically, but there's so many on the market that I think you can be patient there and get it running back on a one year deal for 4 million to come in and give you by time for javonte. Williams to have a little more time to heal. But do I think they're going to be aggressive? I think they're going to pick a spot to be aggressive, but they're not going to be aggressive across the board because I don't that's not really how they want to rebuild this thing. You're at the combine last week. You came away from your visit there with some observations, things you heard, Matthew berry of ESPN came away with his own and said that Sean Payton not really a fan of Russell Wilson that this is a one year audition for Russ. Do you buy into that? Yeah, there's some degree I do because Payton takes this job and you widen the lens and look at it. He takes this job with the idea that Greg Tinder wants to win and they have Russell Wilson this year for sure. There's no real way to get out from that contract. But if it does not go well, it's my belief that Peyton has the authority to say, okay, I gave it a run. It didn't work and now I want to get my quarterback. It doesn't mean he's given up on us or Wilson right now. They want it to work because of the way the investment, all the draft collateral, they gave out for him, but I just believe that in some ways it is. In some ways that Russell has to show he can fit this offense. He can fit the coaching of Sean Payton, otherwise you're better off at that point. Can you still sting? You could spread the cap hit over two years and make it work. It would be similar to the kind of the Carson Wentz cap hit type thing. But I just, I don't know that I don't know if that's fair to say he doesn't like Russell Wilson. I don't know that for a fact personally. But I do know that it would make a lot of sense that this would be a one year audition that they're not going to just, well, let's just see how this plays out. I mean, Sean Payton, that's just not his history. If you look at the way he coaches, so in some ways, it does feel like this is a huge year for us. And Russell knows, I mean, he's at a crossroads in his career. He can not play like he did last year and expect that he would be just everything would be fine and it would be back for a third season. You know, I go through kind of my thought process here of who's been a backup quarterback for Sean Payton and in the past and whether it was Daniel chase or whether it was or chase Daniel, excuse me, or whether it was a guy like Winston, who became the starter, but teddy Bridgewater, that type of thing. Do you see him going after a veteran guy who's been in the system before so that Russell Wilson would have kind of another sounding board and somebody who's got a little bit more experience in that offense than Russ. I mean, depending on how the pieces of the puzzle fit with the cap and all that I do, I do. I mean, we all like Brett Ripley's fantastic guy, but he doesn't have a relationship with Sean Payton and last year if they'd had a more experienced quarterback without a matter. Maybe. But Jameis Winston is expected to be a cash casualty with the saints with them getting Derek Carr. I think you keep an eye on somebody like that. Baker Mayfield to me, he's going to have better opportunities elsewhere. I don't know that he would come here. And maybe he goes to Tampa Bay, for instance, or something. I mean, I just think he's going to have better opportunities. If Marcus Mariota's then gets brought up, I'm not a huge fan of that. It's just he is trending the wrong way for me. Maybe the price is right, I guess. Based on how he played last season, but I would see that. You know, you look at how he's structured as rosters. He usually has a backup he can trust and he wins with. He's 5 and O with teddy Bridgewater. He went 5 and two with Jameis Winston before Jane has heard his name. I mean, I would like that idea because if in Russell missed three games last year, a concussion hamstring and labor minister and the idea that you could bring someone in that could hold it down in a few minutes three, four games go two and two and two, three and one. That's appealing to a team that's trying to get back to relevancy. Last one, let you take on a different topic here. The nuggets performance last night, just one bad off night or any red flags come out of this one. No, it just looked like that's how they played early early in the season, a game like that against it gets with the kings or somebody. They just played selfish basketball. They played one on one basketball. They didn't pass everything they do well. They didn't do last night. And they didn't shoot well. Jamal Murray looked like he was forcing things. They just look like they were playing that one on one and one basketball. That's not who they are. Some teams are. They're not built that way. They're built to pass the ball and create open lanes for other guys. And obviously, they all spins off your point center. Nikola Jokić, but I'm not worried about the 24 and two in the last 26 home games. I mean, you just hit the reset button after a game like that. It just looked like one on one, and I'm going to say selfish. They're not a selfish team. But last night, they played selfish basketball. And I think that'll just be a reminder to them that you can't play that way. That's not how they're built. That's not who they are. And they got smoked and got their spots. It happens. I'm not worried about it. The thing I'd worry about are the sons, if you have to face them in the playoffs, you can rank on her last night in warmups. But the west is going to be crazy difficult. But them having home court should matter. Last night, for me, it's just an isolated clunker. I'm not worried about it right now. All right, Trevor man, we appreciate you, buddy. You got to go see it. Okay, there he goes, Troy rink. Our Denver 7 insider presented by Rox rocks heating and air. We throughout this question, Sean Payton and his staff was at the game last night and the reaction was, well, it didn't even come close to the wild reaction that Nathaniel Hackett and Justin out and got last year. So asking Broncos country kind of take it to temperature. What's the one word you would use to describe the Broncos right now? Your feelings towards the Broncos as a fan. And let's see, guarded.

"He might have been at the theory of pain. You never know if he's out there in this too, right? It's what it is. It's easy to miss a 330 pound defensive line. So Tampa's run defense has slipped a touch, right? It's not just Vita V with the calf injury. You're down Shaq Barrett. You've had some guys beat up along the defensive line. I know Arizona wasn't necessarily overly efficient running it, but James Connor had a couple nice runs there and you had situations where like hicks is lining up at defensive end and crashing down into the middle and making plays, but like why is he lining up at defensive end? It's because they're a little bit beaten along that defensive line. But oddly, still above average in schedule just rush efficiency since the week 11 buy for Tampa. The first time they played each other back in week 7, maybe Tampa was caught off a little guard with that new running scheme and style going from CMC to headed back with Cuba and Deontay forman. I think what's really interesting and I don't know if we want to transition to the other side quickly. I'll let you do that or we just shoot straight to it. But I think as you kind of build this game out and try to make a case for either side, it's just hard to ignore. The line movement when you couple it with the injury report and a week ago, this is Buccaneers -7. There was even a couple of spots shown 7 and a half. This is one of the largest week over week movements of the entire season. It's four four and a half points. Through the second largest key number, now sitting on the most important one. And there's no quarterback change. Back in week 7, Tampa's lane 13 and a half in Carolina. And I know these teams are a little bit different now and no doubt Carolina beat the Buccaneers handling that week 7 matchup, but I just don't know how you get to this price and it looks like Tampa has a chance to be healthier along the O line, Donovan Smith and Tristan wolf's practice on Wednesday. You had Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen was out there practicing and doing blocking drills. Let's see if he plays Tampa open that 21 day window. Teams are actually treating that a little differently this season. Typically, he can start practicing. We're going to open it. This season they've been waiting a little bit longer for players to almost be healthy enough to play before opening that window. So somehow you get worse Smith and Jensen up, like that's huge for the box offense. For Carolina, we know they're starting corner Dante Jackson's been out. Now JC horn. One of the best cover corners in the league is out Carolina signed Josh Norman back this week. They think he might be able to get a couple snaps in their Shaq Thompson found himself on the injury report with a hamstring injury. We know how quirky those can be. For me, the question becomes will Byron leftwich smartly navigate this with more early down passing. You have to be able to attack Carolina through the air on the season 24th and schedule adjusted pass defense and their top two corners are now down. You look at Tampa in terms of efficiency on the season. On first down, 9th in passing efficiency. 31st in rushing efficiency. The smart game plan is crystal clear here for the Buccaneers. It's just a matter of actually getting Byron left, which to go out and execute the smart plan. And if they do, with this short price, it's tough not to make a case for Tampa here at this number. Yeah, I'm with you there. Ryan Jensen, though I'd be stunned if he was out there giving some of Todd Bowles comments talking about how he still nowhere close to playing, but we've seen this smoke and mirrors work in the past for a lot of these coaches in the NFL, the Josh Norman story fascinating. Read some of those details. He said he was working in a coffee shop actually across the street from Cam Newton cigar bar. In Atlanta said he really enjoyed being a barista because he felt it was a mindless activity. It allowed him to be at peace with himself. And here he is being thrust into the thick of a playoff race. We know we can provide a little bit of energy, but was obviously a shell of himself. The last time we saw him on a football field. I did not read that. Yeah, it was pretty good. I'll have to try and dig up the art. Because that's what I've depicted to you. When I'm done, I'm done. I'm just going somewhere far away. Hey, and just doing something stupid. Let me tell you, as someone who was a barista as an assistant manager of a Starbucks at 18 years old in Burlington, Vermont. There are times it's a little stressful. I'm not sure you're built for customer service because if you don't make someone's home macchiato exactly the way they want it, they can get a little bit enraged at 8 o'clock in the morning. But yes, there's a lot to be said about the service industry instead of being glued to checking emails and everything else. So I don't want this to sound like a negative for a lot of our listeners that are out there. But a fascinating story, obviously, given all the money that Norman made in the NFL, that's what he chose to do after when you thought broadcasting was most likely going to be the avenue for him. As far as Tampa's offense real quick, I mean, you mentioned it 12.3 fewer points per game this season compared with last season. It's actually the largest decline by any team since the 75 76 bills who finished 12 and a half points worse than they did the preceding year. When you look at third down conversions, nothing to write home about. And I think you highlighted the key issue. Will Tampa be aggressive enough to go out there attack on early downs. When you look at the know huddle offense, I've kind of called it no nonsense. 9th and EPA play with no huddle in 29th without this season. You look at Brady, 11 passing touchdowns in the fourth quarter compared to just ten through the first three quarters. And they've won three games when trailing by 7 plus points in the fourth quarter tied for the second most in the NFL. So they've shown it in flashes. You just like to see it sustained over the course of four quarters. And for Tampa for everything that's gone wrong during the regular season, a win on Sunday and suddenly you get a new lease on life. From they've shot it when they've been forced to in their wildly efficient doing it. Imagine if they actually didn't when the team didn't know you had to do it. On the opening series, the defense didn't know he had to do it, right? You probably would be even more efficient using it. How much easier life could be, but to Tampa's credit, they at least showed flashes of having offensive competency in the first half against the Bengals. Just couldn't execute in the second half. But an interesting game. Mainly for like you said, the number that has over adjusted arguably given one extra data point, Carolina dominating Detroit and Tampa, of course, needing to go to overtime to knock off the much maligned Arizona Cardinals. The dolphins and patriots pain, we've seen major movement on this game as well, obviously because the availability or lack thereof for Miami starting quarterback. New England, a field goal favorite, there are plenty of soft threes throughout the market. Total on the game 41 and a half, Miami. They've beaten New England for straight times. They've defeated the Patriots, 20 to 7 in week one at home. It was actually 92° at kick-off as the hottest outdoor NFL game since 2019. Ironically enough, that was also the dolphin's best defensive performance of the entire season. Miami has made their path to the playoffs much more convoluted than it needed to be. They get in with a win and a jets loss. Meanwhile, New England, they went out, they find themselves dancing again. Obviously, week 18, they have the Buffalo Bills and trip to Orchard park waiting in their future. We can talk about X's and O's, we can try and break down some of the matchups here, but I think the number more than anything else is the most fascinating part because the betting market pain is telling me that two a tug of iloa being out is a 6 point downgrade when he hands the baton to the veteran in teddy Bridgewater. Yeah, that's roughly what it's saying, right? I mean, the dolphins open two and a half point favorite.

"To Derek Henry, the guy had a 190 yards after first contact. The Texans got steamed part of it was the quarterback change. But Houston's responsible for some of this. There's no doubt. I mean, I'm not absolving Houston in this. I mean, put 13 people in the box, put your cheerleaders out there, your front office, do something to slow him down. Add another human. Another life form into the box. But the Texans came in third worst in defense of Russia efficiency. They were down two starters along the D line. I think you just question what the heck lobby Smith was doing. And I know by percentage people will look at it and see Derek Henry went against a loaded box at the third highest rate and it sounds fine. Once it's obvious, Malik Willis can't complete the forward pass. Why isn't that number 80%? How could the defensive game plan be anything other than playing press man and having 8 guys in the box virtually every snap? And that just wasn't the case. I've seen the Titans weapons on the outside. I might play ten men in the box and dare Malik Willis to complete a pass more than 5 yards downfield. Probably not a bad approach, especially yesterday, what do you have 55 passing yards? Yeah, it wasn't good. It wasn't good bob, that's for that's for damn sure in terms of what he did, but they get a big win in the division and the Titans of course will be featured prominently under the bright lights at arrowhead. This coming Sunday. Other good. I love that I've got you to start quoting a show that you have not yet. Oh, I know, that's what makes it even better. But I do have it on the short list of shows that I will watch once the NFL season comes to an end. I took your advice. It may have taken me three months to get all the way through Sons of Anarchy. But yet again, you do not let me down. So I have mad men on the list. It will be watched, and I know the listeners who are out there shaking their head right now and consternation can point a finger at me, call me an idiot and tell me what I'm missing with that particular program. Yeah, mad men's a little bit different, but it's fantastic. So that'll go on the watch list to end football season. All right, moving on. Would you like to go? Other good that you had, I have a couple running backs that I want to mention as well, but I want you to take the floor. I think what's interesting here is sometimes by Monday morning, the Thursday game is so far removed from your mind. You forget about it. But I was really impressed with the mar Jackson in the second half. Think about what we've discussed over the last handful of weeks because we've been trying to figure out why Lamar and the ravens are struggling late in games. And the only thing that we could really come up with was fatigue. Lamar just has to do everything. Whether it's the run game, whether it's the pass game, and he was just doing so much. And then potentially defenses adapting and Greg Roman not making those halftime adjustments. But on a short week, with travel, specifically Lamar Jackson, outstanding against the Buccaneers in the second half, 71% passing success rate, 0.91 EPA per play for Lamar over that stretch, right? Of all the quarterbacks to play in week 8, Lamar Jackson number one and second half EPA plus completion percentage above expectation. I was really impressed with what Baltimore did started getting the ball out of his hands quickly, letting receivers make plays after the catch, ground game got going. This is really a vital stretch for Baltimore when you think about things in the landscape of not just the AFC, but their own division, creating space and separation in the north. I mean, the ravens right now. 6th easiest schedule from this point forward. Their main competition in Cincinnati fourth toughest. So it's time to make a move for Baltimore. And the ravens as well get a little gift from the scheduling guts. I mean, after that game on Thursday night against Tampa, they play one game over a 23 day stretch, I believe, is what the math works out to, which is absolutely unprecedented. So if Lamar showed any fatigue, this is the time you sit in the cold tub, you go through your massage therapy and you get yourself ready to go for a second half of the schedule that as you mentioned is extremely available for the taking for Baltimore to make a little bit of hay. Running back in the other guys offensively. Get angel a little bit dinged Gus Bateman running back there from Ohio State whose name is escaped my mind. Yep. Dobbins. There you go. Yep. So, I mean, there's a lot to be excited about four Baltimore team who, again, you look at their record and go, man, this team could actually be undefeated if they held on to double digit leads, something they've been extremely proficient in doing with Lamar's leadership so far. So I mentioned Derek Henry, I want to throw a couple other running backs out there and it's part of the reason when you do all of this, you talk about running backs being a dime a dozen. And I know that doesn't always translate from a fantasy football perspective to the way that you go, man, you know, I lose Christian McCaffrey, others Jonathan Taylor to top my lineup. I'm never gonna be able to refill that productivity, not the same for NFL teams. Deontay forman steps in as RB one for the Carolina Panthers in the wake of the Christian McCaffrey trade. Gained a career high, 87 yards after contact scores three touchdowns in his first start of the season. Foreman is now gained a 175 yards after contact over the last two weeks trailing only Derek Henry and Tony Pollard in that span, and I may as well mention Tony Pollard as well. We've been banging the drum for this guy to be featured more in the cowboys offensive attack. 15 touches nearly a 150 yards and three touchdowns, 64 rushing yards over expected his most in a game over the last three seasons. And when you look at Paula, he's gained a 192 rushing yards over expectations, the third amongst running backs. And I'll throw one more in there for Chicago Bears fans out there. Maybe eventually the bears will realize that Khalil Herbert is the most dynamic option they have in the backfield. It's not a knock on David Montgomery. It's just facts. Dante forman was wildly efficient again yesterday. And he made comment about how much him and CMC got along, but this is a business. This is a profession, and this is a guy who's been cast in out of the league for small stints. And he said, this is my opportunity to step up and prove to guys that I belong in this league and sure enough, that's what he's done the last two weeks. Taking the bull by the horns. And he is really helped this Carolina offense. When you think about PJ walker, certainly made a fantastic throw late in that game, which patty mahomes tweeted about and said was the best throw of the season thus far. But guys were wide open in that secondary and as many passing yards as PJ walker had his completion percentage was nearly 11% below expectations. Getting that ground game going. And quietly, the one thing that we thought this offense didn't the off season was improved the row line. Added a couple guys drafted another and they're starting to get some real push up front. Yeah, man. What could have been for the Carolina Panthers in that spot? But we'll get to why that game unraveled late even with the ridiculous throw that PJ walker made to DJ Moore streaking down the sidelines. Other good that you wanted to highlight, I have one thing left on my list, but I want to make sure we don't leave any stone unturned. I think you have to look at the forty-niners. There's one other one I have after this.

The first one to call us will be our usual Monday guest Chris long, two time Super Bowl champ to talk about everything that went down in week number 7. Mike florio, we haven't talked with the pro football talk creator on our longtime friend from our days at peacock. He'll be joining us at the top of our number two. And if the Patriots win, that would mean the AFC east has every single team within it, above 500. The best team, the best division in the NFL, through 7 weeks. That's just like, by the way, I kind of miss blew it, but I didn't stutter. That's how we were rolling here on the program. He's an hour number three, hello, Chris brockman. How are you? Hello, Richard. You got your Mac to the future shirt on. Yeah, I expect to see max tonight. Are you gonna have, okay, very good. You expect to see some extra points to see you, sir. Good to see you, sir. Good. Mike del tufo is in his usual spot, and then TJ Jefferson, how are you, sir? I'm great, rich, and you know what a lot of people didn't believe in the Dallas Cowboys, but you know who did? God did. How about them cowboys? Wow. God did. I don't know if I'd take credit for that win. It wasn't exactly. Sexy. Hey, look, man. I'm sorry, do you get is it hockey do you get extra points for sexiness? I'm not going, I'm not going to argue that as well as my jets just won a third in a row and Zach Wilson hasn't thrown a single touchdown pass in any of them. And we're going to talk about that now or two. That's an overreaction Monday. Okay, we've got that coming up. Although to be quite honest, that's a Cooper rush game. Like, okay, don't make any mistakes. Let's just do enough on offense, playing up defense and get out of town. That's what the offense was comfortable with that style. Exactly. And so that coming in and playing boring football that's exactly what you want to see, get his sea legs under him, get him nice and ready and get the lather going, got the bears coming in next then a bi week. And then take on a packers team that's entirely beatable and that's how I want to start this program. The bays, okay? Green Bay Tampa Bay, both quarterback by 12s, both quarterback by guys, they're going to be sharing the bust gallery room together and can't Ohio one day whenever they both decide to hang them up. Factual. And you've got two teams right now that when they played each other in week four, we had two actual goats on the set of NFL game day morning with Rogers and Brady jerseys on because it was the battle between the goats. In the NFL, despite the youth clearly serving the day right now and we all saw that last week with Allen and mahomes playing against each other again and we can't wait for another decade plus of that, obviously. But Green Bay won that game and they haven't won since. Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost that game and it wasn't looking pretty at all and then they lost to the chiefs and then they barely beat Atlanta. They needed some help from Jerome boger throwing a roughing the passer flag on Grady Jarrett causing Atlanta to have no shot to get back on the field and try to win that game that they were coming back in. Then Brady goes to Pittsburgh and just when we thought that it was an accurate sure thing for them in that stadium, the Steelers come out of nowhere and start playing football and trubisky comes off the bench and looks like mahomes. On occasion and you wonder what the hell's happening, but there's going to be a get right game this week, clearly. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have no business losing by 18 to a team on an interim head coach who just 40 8 hours before the game. Traded away their best player. On offense. No business losing to PJ walker and Deontay forman and chuba Hubbard with all due respect to all of them. And I know I should have said that in advance. No business losing that football game in front of a fan base that knows the white flag has been raised and I did say last week that this is how you tank in the NFL is remove the best opportunity for your team to win football games by

"Without the services of Trey hendrickson. This is a team to keep your eye on because we're looking at back to back weeks where we saw the Bengals offense we envision coming into the season. Chemistry is a little bit better upfront. Now, to your point, some of this is playing a disappointing saints defense that can't get pressure and was down three starters in the secondary. A week later, it's Atlanta's defense that's bottom 5 and schedule adjusted defensive efficiency and down three starters in the secondary for parts of the game. But there's also a fundamental shift that's happened. This is now Joe burrow's offense again. Back to back weeks, Joe burrow has been in shotgun and more than 95% of his snaps. The first 5 weeks it was below 70%, where trying to run mixing inefficiently from under center, just like we talked about last season when the Bengals weren't efficient. Again, bad defenses with severe injury problems in the secondary consecutive weeks. But a fundamental offensive shit from Zac Taylor's offense to Joe burrow's offense. And it's paying dividends. When you look at this Bengals team right now in the landscape of the AFC north, I mean, have they all of a sudden become the team to beat with some of the Raven struggles, the browns are dumpster fire and clearly the Steelers are in rebuild. Your hope is the Trey hendrickson injury isn't too serious and it appears that's the case, right? And you're still waiting for DJ reader to return in the defensive side of the ball. And you think your offensive line is going to continue building chemistry with four new starters from a season ago. If you continue to do things the right way by making this the Joe burrow offense, it's going to go a long way. T Higgins battled an ankle injury for a couple of weeks. He looks like he's a little bit healthier as well. Running things more efficiently throw Joe burrow is the first step. We know what Lou Anna rumo has been doing with the second half adjustments. And if you can get a couple guys healthy on that side of the ball, it'll go a long way for another playoff push here because it's clear Baltimore has not separated from this division where they could clearly be 7 and O at this point, but they've thrown away three double digit leads in the second half. They haven't created that distance in this division. They've left a lot of meat on the bone. And if you're a ravens fan, you can't be feeling chipper this morning knowing that you are four and three, but to your point that this team worst case scenario could be 6 and one, 5 and two and if things had broken the right way and they hung under those leads, sitting with an unblemished Mark atop that division. Other good that you saw as far as takeaways for week 7. When you think about great quarterback running back tandems and a duo, you'd want out there to be a good defensive mind in the greatest quarterback of all time. You look to PJ walker and down to foreman. TJ Moore off the milk carton into fantasy relevance is the only weapon. Carolina wasn't great with their down to down efficiency. But they were very, very explosive yesterday, and they finished 7th in EPA per plan the week. And you look at PJ walker, the game plan wasn't necessarily a game plan suited for him because he came into the game with an average intended air yards of 0.1 and somehow yesterday it was 8.2 and walkers completion percentage was 9% above expectation and then you sprinkled Deontay foreman in there who averaged 4.6 yards per rush over expectation. And I think when we zoom out and look back on the 2020 NFL season, this probably goes down as one of the anomalies. When an outright by three scores is a 13 and a half point underdog. But kudos to PJ walker and Deontay forman and as you mentioned, getting the leading receiver off of the milk carton made a fantastic catch there by the back by the back of the end zone a little toe tap. Friendly reminder why he can be one of the best weapons in any passing attack in the National Football League when he's got a capable quarterback. See, I'm proud of you. You and glass have full praising Carolina. I was ready to vilify and roast Tampa in either the bad or the ugly. I mean, you may be able to get there as well. Well, we can do that. I do want to give one other player accolades. And I know from an efficiency standpoint, the numbers don't blow you away. But Josh Jacobs was a guy that the Raiders had talked about, not even potentially breaking camp as RB one and all these done over the last three weeks. Three straight games carrying the ball 20 plus times, three straight games with a 140 plus rushing yards. Three straight games of the rushing touchdown and it has 6 over his last three games. Josh Jacobs running like a man possessed for a raiders offense that needed somebody to come in, give them a little bit of the shot in the arm because the passing attack has lacked some of the punch that we anticipated coming into the year. We know the backstory of Josh Jacobs being homeless living out of his car. And you don't have your 5th year extension picked up. So he is in a contract here. You'll love to see this type of performance. It's the best three game stretch of his career as you alluded to 441 yards and 6 touchdowns. The last three weeks, and what's so crazy about this, you go back to the Hall of Fame game. And Jacobs is out there with the rest of the guys that might not make this team. He was being showcased to the Raiders could trade him. Just wild to see this unfold. Before tonight's bear's patriots game, which we'll get to a little bit later in the show. Jacob's average 1.7 yards per rush over expectation. It was a 6 best mark among running backs. And the other thing that's quietly taking shape here is this is an offensive line that was much maligned, but they've been blocking quite well and you pair that with Josh Jacobs being elusive and breaking tackles and it's been the best part of this raiders offense today. Yeah, I mean, this is a raiders team that definitely needed a confidence building when it looked like it was going to be nip and tuck throughout. They found a level of separation there. And a team that was extremely unfortunate early in the year gets to the right side of the ledger, beating the Houston Texans by double digits. With the good comes the bad and I'll let you be the bad guy first and foremost here where should we start? Let's go to where we kind of hinted at the top. The Giants Jaguars game is just so wild to me because you can have all the data in the world and the analytics and the matchups. But this is a little narrative based and I don't think it's necessarily hot take you. But you could see it unfolding right in front of your eyes where one team who's really mediocre doesn't believe they're merely average and thinks they should always win. And the other team simply doesn't know how to win yet and there isn't a leader on that team guys look to or look at for confidence. That acts as like a booster or a pick me up throughout the course of the game. And that's ultimately what you saw on fold there. And there was a battle in that game. Some guys early in the week laid the available two and a half, even when it got to three, a group late it, and then late. There were some buyback plus three and a half. And it was just this interesting element unfolded. In the Giants, giving them credit again. There were 5 and one coming into this game. And their leaders offensively ball and Kafka are smart enough to understand that they're probably a little fortunate. And they need to be doing things a little bit more efficiently in these games because they're not going to be able to just come from behind every week. Now I understand they were trailing at the half. But offensively, there were some better things there out of the Giants to start that game. And you also

"Picks compensatory picks because they have a ton of compensatory picks that they've accrued because coaches of color have been and have been hired elsewhere than to the new rules that the player, the league is set up, they get a compensatory pick for that. One of those coaches is coming up in about ten minutes time and Robert sala. And the other one is Miami said coach. That's correct. Because Mike mcdaniel is considered that. Look it up. Martin mayhew is another one. So they have all of these compensatory picks. They still have two of them left. They've got a 5th and two sevenths next year. Smoke them if you got them if you're not a fan, next year in Kansas City all the way to deep on Friday night. And go for it. Go for it. If this guy stays healthy and he has so far this year, this is going to be a major problem. And forty-niners fans should feel great. Absolutely great. Like I said, running back who could play receiver, receiver could play running back full back who could play tight end. Tie into is a great tight end. Other receivers who are great receivers. Coach who knows how to dial it up. Defense that has championship quality of healthy, niners look terrific. Sitting there at three and three right now. I like it. I like the trade, go for it. You got the ability to have your owner and Jed York say, go for it and the general manager and the coach aren't looking over their shoulders saying if this thing doesn't work out, are we going to get our asses fired? I told you, the siege in San Francisco, no matter how many times you say that the niners underperform under Kyle Shanahan, whose overall record is 500. Right around it, hovering right around it. That seat is so not hot. And part of the reason why Chris is our first guest in the second hour, chip Kelly was a back to back one of back to back one and duns in San Francisco. They don't want to do that anymore. From Harbaugh to Kelly to Tom sula. I just didn't want to do that anymore. And they got Kyle Shannon and they're sticking with him and then sticking with the program and you stick McCaffrey in that program. If healthy, great. And if not, then the less need F all them picks, mantra that clearly is now roosting in San Francisco. That might be a problem. Or Jeff Wilson that's just going to be the guy that you're going to have and then next year when you're sitting in Kansas City, smoking them if you got them at the top of the Friday night of the draft, you'll miss it. You'll miss it. And as for Carolina, as for Carolina, they entered the week, they entered the week with just 14 picks over the next two drafts. Not like pardon me, 9 picks over the next two drafts. So as for Carolina, they entered this week with 9 picks over the next two drafts, and that's it. Because they've been churning around and churning around. Sam darnold here. Right? Stefan Gilmore there. They've been churning it. They've been trying for Matt rule. They fire a matte rule. They bring in Steve Wilkes. They send away Robbie Anderson on the field on a Sunday and then two Arizona on a Monday. Of this week, and now McCaffrey's gone, voila, now 14 picks over the next two drafts, 7 in each year. They're now back to, if you will, normal. Got it. This is what they're doing. They currently are number one overall in next year's draft in Kansas City. They fire their coach, they're on an interim head coach and they send their best player on offense away. Do not take the cheese on the supposition that they are not tanking. This is what's called tanking. In the NFL. That's what it's called. Now, I say this with full respect that when Carolina takes on Tom Brady this weekend, they will go out on the field to try and win the football game. They will. Yeah, of course. Because these are all grown ass men who want to win games who put their bodies on the line that say every week when they leave their house, I'll come home and you don't know if their season or career is going to be over based on what's happening at work. I have nothing but the ultimate of respect of ownership, general manager, coach, and players. They're going to try to win. They're going to try and beat Tom Brady as hard as they can. The problem is, is you can't win football games in the NFL. If you're not sending your best players on the field and if you're sending your best players elsewhere, you are not trying to win games. That's the difference between tanking in the NBA and the NFL. And the NBA, they'll just sit their best players right there and put them in a suit right in front of the entire paying customers. Okay. Brian burns is going to play this weekend. Right. Okay. Even though everyone wants them. Everyone wants them. DJ Moore is going to play this weekend. They're going to try and win this game against Tampa. It's a lot more difficult with all due respect, again, to Deontay forman and chuba Hubbard, it's a much more difficult to beat the bucks without Christian McCaffrey. So the Panthers will go up out their business to try to win games. But you don't do your best to win the games if you're sending your players away. You're just, you know, trying to not win. As opposed to tanking completely in front of everybody. The Panthers right now, as I said, they are a top the draft order. Number one. And they're one in 5. And it's difficult, but they're only two games behind the winners, the leaders of this division. And the saints are two and 5. You can be you beating the saints already, where the win this weekend. Your two and 5 Brady's three and four, Atlanta's and Cincinnati, Atlanta could be three and four, and you're two and 5, and you're not in last place. And suddenly, you know, what would happen there? If the saints are in last place and let's say Vegas and Detroit also win? The saints could be a top the draft board, number one overall, and that would make Philadelphia. Number one, because Philadelphia owns the saints pick, the eagles could potentially be. Because I don't know about strength of schedule and how this sort of works out, just 7 weeks into an NFL season. As to who has a tiebreak over whom, but the eagles could sit on her buy week as the loan remaining undefeated team in the NFL and emerge from the
