"Still questionable. He's missed a ton of action lately. You've got questionable in Denzel perryman, Carl nassib, Trayvon Mullen, not great situations on either side here, but I mean, huge line movement in favor of the Raiders because of the fact that Baker Mayfield's not going to play, came out earlier today that case Keenum has also tested positive for COVID. So the backup quarterback for the browns not going to play. Right now, what is looking like Nick Mullins is going to be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. And it's interesting because there are a couple of schools of thought on this. One, I mean, case Keenum did help deliver a win. It was a low scoring game against the Broncos, but he did help deliver a win for the browns earlier this season on Thursday football. With that said, Mullins has been admirable at times as a backup quarterback during his time in San Francisco. And you kind of start to debate, you know, Keenum Mullins is a really a big drop off there. But to me, the larger question is there that big of a drop off between Baker Mayfield and either of these guys or is the more than 7 points of line movement associated with all this stuff. An overreaction. And I think in the quarterback side of things that it definitely isn't overreaction. I had a Baker Mayfield just hasn't been that good this season. He looked good for part of the game last week against the ravens, which, by the way, if you bet the browns, I mean, RIP, that back door was unbelievably unfortunate. They were dominating the ravens. Lamar Jackson is knocked out injured. And all of a sudden, the browns offense ground to a halt. Tyler Huntley leads a multi possession backdoor situation for the ravens. I mean, thoughts and prayers if you had the Cleveland Browns last week against the spread and you laid those points, but I think the larger point is Baker Mayfield even in that game when he did play well for the most part, he didn't play four full core is a good football. He just didn't. And Nick Mullins isn't going to blow the doors off of anybody, but I don't think he's going to be demonstrably worse than Baker Mayfield's been for much of this season. The concerns, of course, for the browns do go beyond Baker Mayfield to this game. You've got some offensive line troubles. You got Austin hooper, Jarvis Landry on the COVID list as well. So it is certainly not isolated to Baker Mayfield in case Keenum here. But I still think that this much line movement might be a bit of an overreaction against the Raiders team, by the way, one in 5 both straight up and against the spread over the last 6 games. And you look at their defense over the last three games, allowing 6 yards of play on defense tied for last in the NFL over that time frame to Green Bay Packers the other team allowing 6 yards of play defensively over the last three weeks. We have to remember, the packers have actually been winning football games unlike the Las Vegas Raiders. I would be in the browns here as a slight underdog. You know, it might sound a little crazy with all the COVID stuff going on. I don't think I feel strongly enough to bet anything right now in the NFL with all the COVID situations. There are calls from the players union to delay the season by a week. I mean, who knows where we're gonna end up? I could be posting table tennis previews on ATS. I own next week for all I know with the way things are going, both in the NFL and the NBA pertaining to COVID-19 college basketball as well. But I would lean slightly toward the Cleveland Browns here. Listen, the Raiders have not done enough lately to prove to me that they can win as a slight favorite, especially on the road even with all the COVID stuff. My guy boat down here this game unbeatable as far as I'm concerned. I do not disagree with that take. One bit. So let's move on here. Saturday football, one more Saturday game. To look forward to and it is going to be again another good one. They really nailed it with the Saturday schedule, even with the browns COVID situation. We're talking patriots and cults up next up here on the GBI show. Patriots two and a half point dogs on the road total of 46 patriots coming off the bay, colts coming off the bay as well. So we're going to see two well rested teams. Of course, the last time we saw the Patriots was that memorable three pass attempt game for Mac Jones, they won in the high winds in Orchard park against the bill's kudos to them for doing that huge for the AFC east race. And of course, the colts, their last time out, well, I mean, they've been playing pretty well in their own right, but here's what I think of this game. I think that you have a situation where both of these teams playing well defensively. I love the colts running game right now. I think that is the deciding factor in this contest. I both of these teams allowing under 5 yards of play there last three games. Both in the top 5 in the NFL in that regard. I think the difference in this game is the fact you can rely on the colts running game more than you can any other unit, right? Patriots defense gonna try and make the colts play a lot of predictable third and long situations where Carson Wentz is going to have to air it out. But this is not a colts team that has to throw the ball deep in order to be successful. Bill Belichick at his best when he's taking away receiving options from the opposing team. This is a colts team that doesn't prioritize it's receiving options one bit. I think that is significant here. I also think significant is the fact that Carson Wentz just hasn't been turning the ball over this season. Now you look at Carson Wentz, he's done 5 interceptions. He's been really good at not ruining games for the colts, the way that he did for the eagles during much of his career. And it sounds silly, right? Because Carson Wentz and turnovers, it's like those inkblot tests that a psychiatrist will give you. I mean, I have no personal experience with them, but you know if you ever seen a movie where somebody's at a psychiatrist, just looking at the ink block test, if I saw the word turnovers in the ink blots, I would say Carson Wentz or vice versa. That hasn't been the case this year, Carson Wentz has done a really nice job of not turning the football over. And I think that is going to be again significant against a team in the Patriots that really praise on quarterbacks who turn the ball over as long as he does not revert to the old Carson Wentz.

"Of football left but but it's it's they're still right air. Their goals are still attainable. You're still right there. And they have the players in the playmakers on both sides of the ball. i feel like to sustain it. They just have to go out there and do it absolutely of here in a second but little is is five games into the season as some things are starting to stand out to me that you catches excuse away as one game type of situation When you look at defense. There's there's hopping to above competent really good players on that side of the ball better showing up on a week to week basis. End even when guys get heard The jonathan Play on sunday. So they needed a replacement player. On defense of line. Dave square come see does a pretty darn good job. So they're even even gap now is starting to express itself. But you look at casey hayward who's playing as good as any quarterback in the nfl you look at next crosby who just throw that out outages five sacks eleven quarterback kiss which is firstly nfl twenty-five. Hurries i the nfl forty-three press's first of the nfl. A ninety one point seven. Pf asked a restaurant. I in the nfl on twenty twenty seven point six percent of pash rush win rate is i had a valuable. He's playing like a defensive. Mvp period exclamation by agassi eski But no reason thinking because he's now for five straight weeks he's been put together one halibut. is talk about as like a denzel perryman who just playing lights out. Football cory littleton. is a tackling machine. This share trayvon Memorial continues to play well and he's just every week he gets better. It seems off as a beginning jonathan. Abrams playing football. So you look at that defense. I don't see any reason why they can continue to play like that sort of injuries. Or you know that type of thing. Now you are. The offense assigned to the ball. Henry waller has developed into basically what the raiders wanted him to be coming into. This year. brian edwards is a good wider. Seaver at a a a good target a viable target under renfro. That goes without saying they're rolling. That goes without saying often blind. Got much better this week. It took a big step forward and saw the run game You know the effect it had on the positive effects on the run game you start looking at this team in his. You know is a good football team. I don't think there's any getting around that. That's a good football team out there announcing can take you know staying away from injuries obviously but also like you said the mental fortitude of dealing with success in all that comes with it Emily at the right way and analyzing their business when you look at this team. Sam is a good football is by bottom line. Yeah for sure for sure you said So this jock as hayward. Spf upgrade among owners. Right so far. Same with same amax. Crosby he's playing like a first team all pro. I wrote about this. I checked in response. You on monday when you guys come back. And wrote about the raiders defensive lineman. They're passwords is all already sixteen sacks for the raiders offensive line that's ward as seventy five percent or you know pretty much seventy five percent of what they had in all twenty twenty right. The they allow twenty nine point nine points per game last year. Any your six games. They out a lot more than twenty eight single teams thirty. Nobody's even scored thirty against them. This year. so far henry runs on pace for eleven hundred yards. Eleven hundred dollars season award in at actually ryan edwards all radar yards. It's it's it's a it's a totally different roster was last year young guys are growing up. The veterans are doing what you expected. The veterans to do and a car continues to play good football. He's been lights out It's certainly an awful lot victories. I mean been fantastic and that's working with a makeshift offensive line. So for young offense line is still learning. Its way where you have young players trying to develop without any kind of running right the running game. It was for two rushing touchdowns on sunday. But you're still only averaging three point seven yards a pop. We're that offense launching after to develop a good healthy in order for that running game to really take off her to really be league average. Forget about taking off getting up to league. Averages there's still a ways to go so given what he's had to deal with the quarterback position the adversity would not to mention losing your play. Call somebody like you said like we'd be labored last week. Somebody who's really trusted. He's been fantastic as played elite football for much of the season. so visas aren't place. The pieces are definitely in place for this seems to make up a playoff was to continue to stay in the nfc and going into the season. Many big picture a really good for a number of years but some of the vault. We're going to be pretty good. Half struggled years the city cleveland or not. They're not the twelve and five thirteen and four type teams. At least not yet. They jones be yet so far. Obviously a lot of So i say that. I say that's a mentioned that there is a real opportunity here to make a legitimate playoff. Was that was the expectation. That's what mike mayock said before the season and for me. That doesn't seem to change just because you lose your coastal players. They have in place with the coaching. You have in place. But gus bradley. The way he's revamped at best with derek Leading a mushroomed offers with a complement of skill players. Now it's not just their waller. It's four five guys now that could beat you at any given time Kenyan drake was excellent. Finally getting him involved in the past the running game doing his thing on sunday as well. Maybe he emerged so this is a much more complete football team on both sides obviously onshore continue showing up. that offense lang helped me get some madeira. And if they do that. This should be a team that competes for. That's in the playoff extravaganza season. I have away. Gus louis and i thought it was a good operation but oj standpoint as well All three phases really showed up Obviously the head coach of the ceo type guy but has to specialty aj hall had a great game. The kickoff coverage was excellent You know so. I missed field goal by daniel carlson but aside from that day was it was a really efficient day for that side of the ball. Either defensively talked about what they've been able to do. The four turnovers five sacks three by max strategy than offensively is very crisp officiant gamer. Like we saw some Some some the subtle differences that also now brings as the plate holler as those jon gruden and especially working junction with derek carr. Who had a long history together. I feel like you feel at least in one. Game is chemistry that those who have a so elax alike about what we saw on sunday. By the raiders. Now sam said is about sustainability that starts on sunday against the philadelphia eagles at legion stadium. The raiders will try to go to their by week With a win in five into record but you know. I will see how we got. Have it's a continual type of the league The next the tasks raiders is pretty quick. I s until about the eagles. See that the raiders better than and should be able to be a. "I think it's a travesty what he's going through. I don't believe that he should have been fired. I don't believe or he should have resigned. He apologized, I believe that he should have been allowed to move on. It's a shame what's happening, but the left never messes misses an opportunity to advance their narrative that America is systemically racist in all places. I want to remind you that his player several of his players defended him. Several of his players did. One of his players, who was this, by he asked players, including Josh Jacobs, Denzel perryman, and another gentleman who defended him, saying, I'll let it go as soon as we walked out on the meeting room. I wasn't focused on that. Still not focused on it, so I mean, I don't know what he said. I could care less, honestly. I don't know how many years ago it was, but my main focus this week was on the bears, not whatever he had going on. Another player was just basically talking about listen. This is not the man that I see every day. So, you know, basically, and I'm paraphrasing, forgive him, and move on. But we can't do that. We can't do that. Why can't we do that? Because the woke left is upset. And so this guy has to be destroyed. Jason whitlock of the blaze wrote an amazing column dealing with this where he talked about basically the 7 sins that this guy committed. And how he offended people, but this gentleman that was claims to be so outraged over the big lip coming, okay. I want to know if any of you, whether you're black, whatever, have you ever said white people have small lips? We just go insane with this stuff. I don't know, you know, this guy Jon Gruden was said he was a, you know, he's a homophobe because he called what's his name Roger Goodell? Basically use the gay slay gay slur word. Okay, let me go back to this point. This is an NFL coach that deals with grown behind men. This is a warrior type sport. I play little sports. Nothing will nowhere ever to this level. You say things men are tough. You say things in anger, you say things and frustration. All of you little social justice woke people that are coming out here condemning this man, I hope to God the left never comes for you. I hope you don't, you better check your phone now. If you said something 7 years ago, ten years ago, 5 years ago, two years ago. I hope you can get it deleted. I hope no one ever sees your dirt. The man apologized, move on. This is a blood sport. It's insane. And then this guy plays the victim. The guy that he calls big lips in order to get his job. He had to get voted in for his job. So he played the victim, played it up. Maybe I'll go into more of this tomorrow. We just don't have enough time. It's insane. Time flies anyway, guys. Until tomorrow, don't grow where you're doing good. God bless, again, Larry elder is back on the 18th. Talk to you tomorrow..

"Spleen injured his shin somehow in warm ups and was unable to play so roberts splaine was limited on wednesday with that shin injury and joining him as a limited participant was defensive. Tackle carlos davis with a knee. That was it pretty surprising not see well. I guess it's not surprising but deontay johnson was not on the list. He did leave the game at some point against the buffalo bills in week. One also chase klay pool after making a catch kind of got off. The field slowly went to the blue tent. Didn't hear anything from mike. Tomlin on tuesday about it also. He was a full participant on wednesday. So there you go. Pittsburgh steelers injury report pretty clean after week one. And then we get to the. Las vegas raiders. Oh my goodness of the raiders. Have a slew of injury issues right now. And it's worth mentioning that this injury report is an estimation. The raiders only did a walk through on wednesday. They just played monday night against the baltimore ravens. They won an overtime here. Is there list. Okay get ready. Buckle up guard denzel. Good did not participate with the knee richie. Incognito guard with a calf did not participate running back. Josh jacobs with an ankle did not participate. Nick kwiet tug we add. I came this guy's name. He has a concussion. He's a linebacker. He's not participate quarterback. Marcus mariota with a quad did not participate. Gerald mccoy with a knee did not participate. Carl massive with a pectoral and detail did not participate broderick. Teamer with an ankle did not participate fullback. Alec ingles with fibula was limited ni- goodness. He hurt his fibula defensive. End yanic than gok way with a hamstring was limited denzel perryman linebacker. The hip was limited. Divine diablo with an ankle was full wide receiver. Brian edwards with an elbow was a full participant clown farell. The back was full. Johnathan hankins with a knee was full. Andre james than elba's full and safety dallin leave it was with a hip was full. I'm sure i butchered some of those names i apart. I don't even apologize. I'm not a raiders fan under these players nonetheless. That's injury report again. Wednesday take with a grain of salt for the steelers. They did practice for the raiders. They did not. So for the raiders. You look at this giant list. And you're thinking. Wow that's incredible. It's a long list thursday's the day to keep an eye on for the raiders. As some of these players has already been reported that some players like gerald mccoy. Janiking gutten agok way. And even maybe marcus mariota are not going to play. As well as i think den denzel good was potentially having an injury that could make him land on injured reserve. We'll see we'll see. "I r so obviously he's sticking around and the fact that he wasn't on my is a good sign that he'll be able to return and be able to play on monday night. Cory littleton going to be looking for a bounce back year after having after struggling coverage last year i think he can be the greatest coverage linebacker. The future hopefully. Hopefully he can figure that out. Because that's been a spot for the raiders that has been a weak spot for a long time coming denzel perryman. I'll be honest. The cagey right. Makes the perryman trade a little bit more head-scratching unless quick calc- isn't ready to go perryman is going to be a backup player at least start the year. Who knows. maybe we'll enough taken over. divide diablo. He obviously was banged up a lot during training camp and he looked pretty bad against the forty niners but it is a new position for them. I'm hopeful that we'll be able to grow. But i think his his future with the rangers is in the future and not necessarily in the presence. I wouldn't be. I would be shocked to see him. Playing a lot of significant minutes for the raiders this year. And if he is that probably means there's a lot of injuries going on again learning a new position and whatnot coming from the transition from college the nfl. That's a lot to take on as a rookie. So i don't know how much we'll see that guy. When the regular season starts and ascertain amuse you know. I keep talking about how how much growth. He's gone through the last few years. But i do think the signing of right. Kind of means. The raiders aren't really sold on what muses bringing to the table and that's understandable again learning a new position. This is basically his first year of live action. You know us obviously on the team last year but missed all the whole season with an injury. So i think the future's bright from us like diablo. He has a future on the team. It's just unfortunately not going to be right now. And then as far as the practice squad goes in any cuts max richardson's on the practice squad but i'll be honest. I'm not quite sure what he's doing on their the raiders. Seven linebackers on the active roster. If you count the guys that are on. I are so. I think it's gonna be a long road to the fifty three man roster from max. Richardson and i think he probably has a better chance. Getting picked up by somebody else that he does. Plan for the raiders. Moving onto safety. And i think probably the news had raider fans most upset this week was the decision ended up cutting karl-josef now look i'm karl-josef josephine too. I was hoping it would have worked out. I thought he had a chance to compete for a starting spot. What it's tough to compete when you're injured and you have a long injury history and then we're starting to talk about a backup role for you and again if you're injured a lot we can't rely on you to be available in bieler anyone. We need a backup. So i think that's ultimately what ended up leading to his release. I mean if we go back and look at john gruden's history we know yes doesn't have a lot of patients for injuries so i really think that plays a huge factor in it. It's unfortunate he ended up signing with the practice squad. Wishing the best of luck. You know once a raider always raider just wasn't meant to be over in radio land for karl-josef this year as for the other guys on the roster. I think the biggest surprise that a lot of people didn't see coming including myself was rodrick. Teamer ended up making the team and then down love. It got cut and then got re-signed just like how derek carrier did so. The raiders are going to end up rolling with five safeties with trayvon. Mary john neighbor entire gillespie. I think mary will be honestly the best player at the group. I think he probably right. Now is the best player even though he is a rookie. Abram is a huge year for him. You know he's gonna be it's gonna be your three. I know a lot of people like to use the excuse of last year that being his rookie season and i get that. But guess what we need to see. A lot of improvement this year from then tyree gillespie. I think he has a great opportunity to contribute a rookie especially as for being fifth rounder. I think he can play a little bit of both spots. And i think the raiders are gonna run quite a bit of diamond nicholas year which means he should have extra opportunities and then there's levitt who's going to be the special teams guy again. I've talked about before. I don't know how much value he brings to the defense but eh he six around and he apparently has apparently one gruden's guys so as for teamer. I think it'll be somewhat similar to gillespie he can play both spots both the free and the strong safety and i think he'll mix in a little bit and i know he's one gus brad. These guys haven't played for them in the past and gruden seems to love is feistiness and whatnot. I think victoria for even tweeted out. You know everyone slept on the guy that was starting all those fights and down in la. So i grew loves that feistiness and that fire from his players. So i think that's a big part of why he made the team and i think this end of being a strong root for the raiders. One position group. That i thought it was a little worried about heading into the season and i do like the guys that they ended up keeping around so be a fun position group to watch all right. We'll end things talking about the quarterbacks and the biggest thing i have to say is the youth movement is taking over in the raiders. Defensive backfield obviously you have. Casey hayward has been around for a while but after that is trayvon mullen. Who's going to be in your three. Damon are net. Who's in your to amac robinson year. Two and the nate. Hobbs is obviously a rookie. Those are the guys that are on the roster right now nevin lawson of poor suspended for the first two games of the year and i honestly think the raiders are going to take these first two games of the season to kinda see where nate haase's at and then kind of make a decision on lawson i would i think if everything goes to plan loss. Play another snap. But if nate hobbs ends up struggling if you know he doesn't show he did in the preseason then they at least have that insurance policy in lawson if that does come to be but hopefully hopefully lawson won't be around for week three and beyond but we'll see what happens over there as far as the practice squad guys go. The raiders signed jordan brown. Robert jackson and monterey harper madre harper was obviously on the raiders. Practice squad last year until the new york giants pluck them off of it and ended up playing in a few regular season games for the giants. Last year i'll be honest. I didn't catch too many giants games last year. I try to avoid the nfc's as much as possible with how bad that division was. But i think. Moderate harper played pretty well for the g. men up there so excited to see what he can bring to the table..

"They're going to be the home team. Do you remember when that happened to us that the hurricane few years ago and we had the miss our first opener and we lost our by our by was in week one of daily hurricanes mess up a southern teams know. I know it'll be. It should be over soon right. Get run sir. October maybe november Gallagher for the inner city. So i have some. Nfc south news. The panther in this happened quite a few days ago but they. Panthers traded a conditional seventh round. Pick to the giants for kicker ryan santoso. So i'm i know Trained for a kicker interesting and then they also traded linebacker. Denzel perryman to the raiders. So they were pretty active that day and they had one more offensive linemen The bills trade defensive lineman they trade defensive and darryl johnson to the panthers so they were really active the last week with trades and i think i had one more looming fine now okay and okay so then i've got league news talk by the lee news. I i'm going to start with Gardner minhsiu getting traded from jacksonville to the eagles which was interesting as the eagles. Were talking about possibly trading furnish on watson what happened there knows. Sure someone else anyway. They got gartner minzhu instead and they released. Nick mullins to make room for gardner. So that'll be interesting. Gar minzhu is definitely a personality. He's very much a showman he's interesting. I don't know about his shops as far as quarterback. I haven't watched him a lot but He certainly memorable yes. And i think a lot of jacksonville fans kinda upset about them. I'm not sure. But i won't be follows jackson because i'd liked michio your he had that gunslinger mentality. Where he just. He's got what it takes to win. And i liked it. I liked him. I thought it was interesting. Oh and i can't believe we miss. This is probably because the couple of days but jamie's wisden is now the starter for the new orleans saints. God i did not realize how many james stands are still out there because on our last podcasts Comments from you freaks. And i can i but Lot of people you know people have such short memories. We defended jameis winston the whole pie. Cows the whole stardom our podcast. What we said was an we were consistent in this. We supported jeans winston but his decision making needed to improve and We're saying the same thing now in new orleans. We're not confident than it has improved. And so he. We supported jayme as even after he was cut. We said we hope he's exceeds and then he went to new orleans and was done to us because that's division rival. And you know forget you know enemy an enemy so dame yeah that's where we are and looking forward to picking them off in week seven. Yes lease twice. You know ivory watched the passes. He did against the jacksonville. Jaguars now warned. You got to think about that. you know. He played against the jacksonville jaguars. Who are a horrible team especially their second. I mean there's they've been in rebuild mode for like..

"Jefferson mccoy filon thomas. Five focused Yes so filon definitely made the team. It was obvious. Preseason us long ball mid our knives. Obviously mccoy's make the team like the you know. Thomas is a underrated raider. Love love hankins. He he's a he's a beast like you'll never be a guy who's like getting like four sacks in a season or something like that like that would probably be like the feeling you know the best year rushing the passer but like he will lead the team defensive line at least in run stops for sure. He's gonna play less than half the snaps okay. He's a beast against the run. I love watching the guy play because it's just like the incredible combination of And size and like great technique. You know like very underrated player. Because he doesn't get the sax people start tend to sleep on or casual fans. Tend to tennessee on those kinds of players by love hankins but i also think that solomon thomas gives them an option now against heavy run teams or you can put him kind of almost anywhere along the line and he's really start against the run to you know I've seen him play as those in the nickel front of cnn. Play some three technique or if the if there's base you know he could play that big end five technique. That cleveland furrow probably the first crack at but saw. Thomas could also do that so you can. He can play almost every position offensive line in. Stop the run. So i think you've got some run stoppers with mclane. Filing pass rushers they will in jefferson. Probably more like a do it all kinda guy. Gus indepth Group use look at the group. It's like yeah legit defensive tackle group and there's no bumps here i guess i mean the the tar heels is is a solomon. Thomas plays the run. Well he just me when you jock guy. Traffic draft top five. Just want him to be a great passer to the raiders in jefferson five. So it doesn't it doesn't matter he can be a situation player you know. That's fine so linebacker linebacker. This is where it starts to get interesting. Co corey hilton. Divide diablo nick. Kalkowski nicholas morrow ten amuse in javan. White that's seven linebackers. The as a boatload of linebackers a six six linebackers six. It's still. That's still ahead hefty amount when there's only on field on the field at a time in nickel right. Thank what all that means is all. I'm thinking seven because denzel perryman hasn't been announced yet. And it's is. This is a fifty two man roster. There isn't a fifty third person so most people are saying. Most beat writers are saying perryman. That's gonna be the guy right so to me. It's moral and javan why they're going to go on some kind of list. If you or. I are a partial season i are one of these guys is going to go on a in exempt list. That gives the raiders a couple roster spots back right. so that's two roster openings than better going to happen and maybe that means one of one of those the use on A tackle or maybe derek carrier or maybe something else So we'll see about that But and then because quick hausky is inside linebacker. They're left on the active roster. The rest of these guys are outside linebackers or a little tear muse. Divide the oslo. Divide the abajo. He had a rough game. I would say taking on blockers. He cannot play middle linebacker in like johnny. Take on lockers doing that. So that's why perryman is there because quick hausky. He's another guy. He gets banged up blot. You've got banged up. You know so you need someone like perriman to at least mike for you in a pinch. i So yeah so but definitely to those guys. Moral angevin wipe. They're going to go on some kind of list in you know. We might not see them for a long time or the whole season. Yeah i think it's Interesting that these new linebackers nichols morrow started to take the reins in the end up getting hurt. Now we're right back to koi Cousy give you the to backers planned to most week. I probably the decided the same of the expected last year. Really see in from the linebacker in Highly paid guys you know. They brought they brought them into to make plays in the time. That may we see something. Maybe if kalkowski can be healthy can Against the panthers name comes. Lift the position hopefully At twenty nine hundred zero before right so if Right back there in those deaths can come in there sleep position. I think You know maybe memorial comes back biggest blow and they can still just rotate. Those guys interesting burrow back to last year those.

"You can also download the app vegas nation. Let's get right to it sam. The raiders cut their roster down to fifty three. It's not etched in stone whatsoever. There's going to be a lot of moves. I think made over the next forty eight hours but any surprises regarding what What we saw today. How you doing great work today. Greg today becky over. A number of those moves broke several of those transactions. Great work as always. We appreciate it for me biggest surprise. I don't think there's a ton of surprises. You take a look at the roster in for the most part guys that we expect it to make the team guys that had prominent roles in training camp guys that we expect to have. Prominent role season are on the team The one surprise to me. And i guess it's not too much surprise when you contextualize training camp and how everything went through the preseason Brown three years removed from the one thousand yard season. You figure you know his speed. His veteran presence could play a factor there that receiving core. But it goes to show you that. The raiders have a lot of faith in henry rugs in bryan edwards to take a step forward in hunter renfro to continue to be a productive sought receiver and and felt it was. It was a mutually beneficial. John brown asked for his release. I expected to be a market for him with the raiders. Feel good about where they are at receiver. So that was the biggest surprise for people for the most part this roster looks how i expected it to look at this point of the season. What about you. What did you think. Yeah and As it relates to john brown zeta-jones also continues To to emerge as a guy that the raiders value as a reserve player maybe even as a spot starter. There's a lot of value in zeta-jones that goes obviously the numbers because he really hasn't put the numbers up but there's a chemistry that he has with dr carr. There's also an understanding now going into year. Three in this offense of what the raiders are doing so Not a bad option to have that deep down on under depth chart. It'll be interesting to see what some of these younger wide receivers Dita turner and dylan. Stoner who did get cut. Whether they're brought back in some capacity. Very lisa i would think both would be on the practice squad. And who knows maybe one could end up. On the on the regular season roster fifty three man roster as well i thought karl joseph in the in totality was a bit of surprise but the writing was certainly on the wall on sunday when he showed up in santa clara along with john brown which is somewhat unusual given all the veterans and key players. Were back home in las vegas. Not only were they there but they both played and that was an obvious indication that something was amiss in futures with the raiders probably wasn't You know real all that secure and a lotta times in that situation. And i think i think the coaching staff was pretty far along on their decisions and i think they just wanted to give it one more look to make sure they weren't overlooking anything or had missed something or basically given these guys one more shot to kind of convince them otherwise Obviously neither one of them did that. And in john brown's case it sounds like he asked for the release so There it is. But i think that aside from that maybe a little bit of derek carrier. I know that he's a gruden guy. As a lot of value as a blocker a special teams player But obviously the raiders for now anyway have gone in a different direction with their third at a tight end. But other than that you know. I think that for the most part it was it was pretty cut and dry In terms of of the cuts I'd like to throw this out to you. What do you feel. good about. In terms of the roster's strengths. And where do you feel like. They're still a little bit of vulnerability yahoo question. I think the like what we saw during training camp. We talked about during the off season. I think there's a lot more depth on the defensive line. A number of those players. The raiders went out there and acquired during the off season to fortify that line. Make the team and same with the secondary. Those those two units. I think go from obviously mrs last season on one of the bottom. You know. One of the worst defenses in lead to death. Now you have some some veterans. Now you have you some rotation and some competition that i think is going to make these unit stronger throughout the course of the regular season in terms of depth. Where there's i think question marks obviously vinnie linebacker right because we know nicholas moral a good chance. He ends up on some kind of reserve list to start the season with what he's dealing with. The kospi's banged up has been banged up throughout the course of training camp and denzel perryman just now coming over. You're going to want to have to get him acclimated before you really let him go so i think i expect them to kind of mind. The the waiver wire for help linebacker or to shore up that unit and then running back to of course you what you have. Which shakeups drake as the ops guys but jalen recharged with banged up. I was a little surprise. Trae reagan's after the season that or the preseason that he had a one. He showed that he wasn't going to get a look on the on the active roster the fifty three man and start the season. But like you said this is so fluid. it's early. Maybe there some some some wiggle room. And and i think i would be surprised if the raiders checked out to see what was out there wanting back. What about you what were your initial takeaways. Yeah and also. I think that You know if. You're the raiders. If nf jalen rashard is starting the season On the injured reserve which that definitely could be the case Which would mean it would be out for sure for the first three games. At least if that's let's just go down that road if they're gonna put jalen on. I r i think the thinking is whether it's bj bj are trae ragas. One of those two guys probably both We'll get through waivers. And i say that because when you when you look at the waiver wire process One or both of those players will have had to convince somebody elsewhere. Thirty one other teams one or two whatever the case might be of thirty one other teams That they're good enough. Not just to claim on waivers but then they have to put on the fifty. Three man roster. You know what i'm saying like like you can't just pick up a guy and then put him on your practice you have to. That player has to go on your fifty three man roster. I'm not so sure that either trae or bj has moved the needle Enough around the league for that to happen. So i'm i'm i'm guessing. The raiders are gambling a little bit that either one or both will survive waivers and then re brought back and at that point Maybe one of them is the replacement for rashard on the roster for the for the duration of his I are visit if he goes on. I r or if he doesn't have to go on i r then you've got to Practice squad candidates that on that practice on the out of those two players so one way or another i think one or both will certainly be back and in the meantime you could also if recharges only gonna miss one game. I think you can get by with combination of josh jacobson. Kenyan drake And and alec angled as the fullback slash backup Third running back. We should be able to get through it. And if you don't then you're always gonna have then. You'll have one of those two running backs on the practice squad To bring up in an emergency situation in case something were to happen between now and jalen rose shards return. So i think that's kind of how they're they're playing that So i think they'll they'll.

"denzel perryman" Discussed on GSMC Fantasy Football Podcast

"Here on the gsm. See fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're going to do a schedule. Outlook of the pittsburgh steelers and talk about the favorable and unfavorable matchups on their schedule. So let's get right into that. So the pittsburgh steelers opened up the season against the buffalo bills in buffalo and these two teams did meet last year. Buffalo won that game. Twenty six to fifteen the steelers offense did not play well in this game. Ben rothlisberger struggled in this game. I believe through pick six in this game. The steelers just that was the beginning of the end for the steelers They just had a very bad stretch of games and that was one of them. So now going into this season you know. They're opening up the season. They're going to be healthy this time around in buffalo. They were very banged up the last time. These two teams met. They didn't really have a running game during this During the game that they played together last year with buffalo so now they got nauseous harris in addition In the running game. So that's definitely going to help them. So looking at this matchup. I definitely do think that the steelers you know depending on how the bills defense is because the bills defense you teams can move the ball against them. It's just you know the steelers a lot of question more offensive line and you know if they're going to be able to block. I said the other day. That ben looked good in the preseason game against the lions so i think that that definitely adds a positive to that and you know what it is early in the season game like. I think i mentioned it on the last show or one of the previous shows that i think ben early on in the season can do well put a good solid fancy numbers good numbers in general but then towards the end of the season you know the more time he gets hit the wheels are gonna fall off and he's not going to produce like he would early on the season. I feel like there's going to be a wear and tear. Would ben season. Because i don't really know what to expect from the offensive line. I really don't. I think if the offensive wine does well and it holds up for ben. He's protected. I think the steelers can hang with the bills and put up a better fight because they have the bill They have their defense of course I do think that you probably look for other options that we just because of how explosive the bills offenses when it comes to the steelers defense but you can still start the steelers defense because the steelers defense is going to be healthy. Start the season. So i think that they will do. Well the one thing i worry about. I think they'll put pressure on josh allen. I think they'll get to him. You know and get some saxon. The game but i feel like the one thing that i worry about is the secondary and how they're gonna hold up against stefan digs and those receivers but back to the steelers offense. I feel like nausea could do okay in game. I think he'll he'll have a decent game. I don't expect them to go off immediately. I think he's still gotta get acclimated to the speed of play But i definitely could see you know one of the receivers doing okay here. We don't really know the status of clay pool. I know that you know he got banged up. You know one of the preseason games. And i don't think he's come back yet. I expect him to be ready for week. One if he's not look for guys like deontay. Johnson and juju is on a bigger role in that game. And maybe the tight ends do. Okay here. i think ben will probably have like a mediocre game. Maybe have like one or two touchdowns in this game. But i don't expect him to go off either. I think the steelers again. Because of the defense. I think they can hang around with the bills And you know it could be a close game so i don't really expect anybody to go off in this game. I think it's going to be a little bit of a tough match-up for the steelers. It isn't early season game. If this was later on the season. I think i'd be a little bit negative with the steelers performance You know how they were doing the game but because it's early on in the season. I think that they will do okay but i still think it's gonna be a tough match up so i don't really expect anybody from the shows. Go off in this game. But i do expect them to put up some points against the bills and even if they fall behind you know by allied and they're playing the bills defense playing prevent. Then you know you get some points out of that so yeah. That's my thoughts on the week. One matchup with the bill so moving onto week number. Two the raiders. Come to town to take on the steelers. I think this is a favorable matchup for the steelers offensively. I think this is a game that the steelers offense gets going and has a solid performance. Because i just don't believe in the raiders defense. I think that ben will have a good game here. I think the receivers do well. I think nike has his breakout performance in this game. Because i just don't trust the raiders defense and their defense that is looking for linebackers. They brought in some linebackers in for visit. They traded for denzel perryman to help out the linebacking core. I just really. Don't trust the raiders defense. So yeah i think the steelers have solid performance. I think this is a weak. That if you have been rothlisburger on your team and maybe you know your qb to or even your starting huby as maybe have as a tougher matchup. I think this is a week where you definitely start ben rothlisberger because again i. Just don't trust the raiders defense and on the other side i think this is a solid matchup for the steelers defense. They're gonna feed off that crowd energy. I feel like they're going to force turnovers. They're gonna get sacks in this game because you also the raiders. They kind of going through makeshift with their offensive line. You know i think. They like three-fifths of their starters From last year so offensive lines are gonna look a little different so yeah. Imsa this affair will match up for the steelers swimming onto week number. Three the bengals. Now come to town. The steelers did very well against the bengals at heinz field last year. And i think they'll do the same thing again. You know the bengals. Their offensive line is not really that good. So i expect the steelers defense to be a big play that week. I think the steelers defense does well. And i think the offense does well to. I think ben has another solid performance. Najji has another good performance. Receivers do well. Maybe look for the tight ends. You know do something as well. 'cause you know i talked about the tight end that they drafted. I wanna say his name. So i just don't want i. I feel embarrassed butcher his name. It's pat fryer mouth. I think that's how you pronounce it if it's not you know once we start watching the games and you know they talk about him on the broadcast or whatever. Whenever i'm watching the steelers games then i will be able to pronounce it right But yeah he looked really good in the lions game. I talked about that on the last show or two shows go whatever it was so you know looked for him to be a weapon and you know hebron as well you know i think the tight ends could do well in this game too. So that's my thoughts on that game to positive match-up across the board for the steelers that moving onto week number four the steelers go to the frozen tundra of lambofield to take on the packers and this should be very fun. Game this is a rematch of the super bowl. Super bowl forty five. I believe yet from two thousand and ten two thousand eleven season. You know. Aaron rodgers ben. Rothlisberger should be a very fun game and the previous two times that these two teams met. Aaron rodgers was not the quarterback. Because you had. I believe it was twenty seventeen was brett hundley and then twenty thirteen was matt. Flynn so hopefully. We got rodgers and ben both playing in this game. Expect a lot of points to be scored here. I know the packers. I i like their defense. I just feel like you know. There's some cracks in it. And i do think the steelers will be able to move the ball. I think nashi has a good game here. I think they lean heavily on the run in this game. Because i believe that the packers run defense still is a weakness of theirs so i do think the nausea will have a good game. Here i think the receivers do okay. I think whoever goes up against jar is going to have a problem so most likely. That's going to be klay pool. If he's playing. Look for guys. Like the andre johnson juju to have more of an impact in this game then on the other side..

steelers Ben rothlisberger ben raiders buffalo josh allen bills deontay buffalo bills bengals lions denzel perryman huby Buffalo juju harris football stefan nausea Najji

"We'll take that. We're maybe i did watch it. I dunno. I probably did so. Yeah you'd what. Yeah you look watching the broadcast okay. Watching all twenty two. That's thank you i want. That's what i want Okay so let's Is there any other topics on offense. We talked about largest diverse. Yeah the quarterbacks playing right. Quarterbacks are playing between reagan's at 'cause you you texted me something and we didn't get to talk about it yet guy some about the poor far now. Okay you text me something so let me ask you -rageous or immense so. This is tough for me. Because radius is the past blocker can catch the football right but i-. Bj edmonds began. It's really really special rights. i. I started on twitter. Twitter about setting up linebackers in the second level in. That wasn't the only time he did that. There's another part he set up. A tackle could be tackled. They just don't see so playing. Basically he goes up to the line right and before he hits the whole. You know the gauge right and need. The defensive tackles decided which way to shed so what. Bj emma's is he goes like this so it was that guy goes this right in. What is he goes. The opposite is five yards. Brought us nine. All that is not just that is the you. Don't you teach that like running back. Coach is not going to teach you to do that. I mean they might. They might tell you about my backers second level but if you're Rookie guy coming into the league. Got that type of patients that you understand how to run the football like that. That's not something that you just continue. is going to make the team raise. If if if a running back made the team you'll be him because the pass blocker he doesn't have to be a abell compaq. I think emmons is a topic howard by some team. Stashes him in the guy stick hurt that he gets a chance and then now what he does with it. That's the type of guy is but will you watch. You could tell he was like no races not Jam is four star recruit alabama. You can tell with his movement skills. The way moves. I guess three comb in his twenty are shuttle or unlike the eighty percent so the way he moves priest special but he has a lot of talent. so coach. I would keep it but at the pass blocking is important. So i know trae race didn't mean not over the all and this is what it comes down to when we're talking about You know the point of these games like some final roster spots like whoever's making the rosser now is not gonna be it's not gonna make it to their ability really on like how between the twenties or to be a big part of the offense like it'll be very small niche parts of the offense year there. Megan for so in the case of reagan versus emmons is a great runner. You're saying guy but the Got great runner. Also got kenyan drake. Who like they're paying to be a big part of the offense like many snaps would get right exactly and then It'd be like okay. If one these guys goes down and they still need to spell that guy in they wanna get into too many drillers like that regis be able to handle that even though he's not as runner Necessarily exactly according to what you're telling me so like even though has like Maybe not as talented. His niche value is. That's how you make the team right like so. We're talking about dj under his niche value. As you know adding up site as a gig returner that's makes the team. It's not about him being a starter eventually like that's not what they're projecting when they when these these small little details phone place at the at the end you know. So that's what that's what we're looking for for sure So i'm i'm glad i'm glad that you said that I'd be interested to see what they ended up doing. In the past keep three tailbacks in fullback or have ever got four. Fullbacks are for tailbacks. Fullback yes oh it's between radius rashard in emmett's isolated shorter by extra step but now ninety play. I mean he might start of her in a. Maybe that guy mates team. But i don't think jailer. It is go away. Like i think people think he's place. I don't know about that it'll be it'll be the apocalypse jalen sharp will still be on the raiders. Okay the guy has made it through everything every every regime change. Agai can't get rid of that guy too easy. Yeah that's a good point okay So let's let's switch over here to talk about defense real quick First things first. Perman raiders has some hiccups linebacker according to gruden's press conference he didn't give exact diagnosis for jevon whites. Interior nicholas morals injury. He did say that they're going to be out for a while right so middle linebacker starting linebacker out back a week's linebacker out so the raiders now scrambling k. They're hoping devan diablo steps in that. Backup weakside linebacker and now they are signing another inside linebacker middle linebacker denzel perryman So rather kept on talking about death. He get like during his press conference today. Bradley kept on saying depth this depth right and when i go back and i i knew dental 'cause i watched a whole bunch of charter state For the last Is off season. I watched four years Charges defense and he's always been a situational player for them right you know like they. They had him in as a starter when when certain players went down but like he was never liked the opening day like he. He was not in their plans to be like the starting middle linebacker. You not only start if players got her or something like that you know. In last year. With kenneth murray being the starting middle linebacker denzel perryman really only sell the field in base defense For the first ten eleven weeks of two thousand twenty before he started seeing a little bit more time in the nickle package because there was no Another injured right. So he's just he's depth guy like that's what his role is in He took that on really well. Lashing the chargers. So when they're trying to talk to k j ryan there they're saying hey. We want to create depth. Competition engage Starter right whereas denzel perryman. He's like yes. I signed me. I'm cool with my roles. I that's perfectly fine with me right against already done that So yet it isn't me death. I would anticipate not kofsky As long as he's a healthy.

"denzel perryman" Discussed on Bet The Board

"Thursday morning wasn't sure if there was a best bet or an investment opportunity you saw worth making at this stage in the game. Yeah this is something we bet. Just yesterday and i hate to be reactionary. I kind of always want to dive into markets and set the tone and not kind of react to news but i do think it was interesting with what came out of denver yesterday and i personally would have went in a different direction as a coach or gm and i would have given drew lock the initial shot because i know mahomes is in my division. Herbert is in my division. And i'm trying to win championships and lock gives me a better sealing however as a better i truly have no issues going with the higher floor because nine wins ten. Wins is perfect for me. So let's go with the over eight. And a half minus. Oh five at fendell on the denver. Broncos what i do like about this situation as you have teddy bridgewater who is loaded with gobs of talent around him he is not going to lose you the game when you look at the opening schedule. There's a lot of opportunity to start three and and build some confidence among a young receiver group. I also like the idea that teddy bridgewater last year and carolina faced one of the most difficult schedules of passing defenses. And now he's going to be going against the easiest schedule of passing defenses this year when you look at vic fangio. The guy's an absolute monster defensively one of the best defensive minds in all of football. You add patrick. 'certain you get healthy along the defensive line. I think this can be one of the best defenses and football and so i like the makeup of denver here and i think even if they are the third best team in the division that they can easily get to nine wins. And what's really interesting. I don't want to spoil this because we'll get to the nfc west on monday nobuo into a dive on the broncos. No like what do we know of of the chargers at this point. I love justin herbert as well. But we have a head coach and he's kind of being anointed as like the next whiz kid and that's awesome but defensively he got this job based upon a huge breakout year with donald and jalen ramsey and just a shit schedule of offense as he faced. Do we know his defenses. That greater was a byproduct of elite talent and a really shit schedule. So i don't know what the chargers are. They seem to be some one of those like flash teams and there was some pro money on their win. Total over. But i just i'm not. I don't think we actually know what the chargers are. So there could be some potential value there in the raiders. Who've i'm not quite sure don't worry. So they went out composition of of this denver team. I think there's a lot of talent there. I think the offensive line improves. I liked devante williams. Obviously so i think they upgraded at running back tons of town out wide and you have a game manager and teddy bridgewater. That's not going to to lose you games. And i do get a vibe could be wrong. I could be giving them too much credit. I do get a vibe with this easier schedule. A passing defenses. That we see him. Push the ball. Maybe a touch more down the field this year. That's my hope. don't worry. The raiders went out and they got denzel perryman so all as well as far as the raiders. Defense is concerned yesterday. And i thought you were going to go into a full-scale denver broncos breakdown. Here i mean. We only had three teams. The cover on monday to lighten the workload but stopped yourself short tracks to do that. So denver broncos definitely makes a ton of sense. It'll be interesting to see how that team is. Viewed throughout the course of the season. You talked about it. Defensive-minded head coach. And of course we'll do denver a deep dive of sorts for all the things pain highlighted on monday. When we wrap things up on the preview front any final words of wisdom life advice. Things you'd like to share as we inch ever so close to week zero of college football pain before we turn our lives over entirely as if we haven't been doing that already. Since the middle of july this lovely craft of ours we call handicapping. Nfl and college football. No i think that's it talk to everyone on monday already..

"We go ESPN radio and ESPN news. we'll talk about maybe the surprising call of a fair catch the six yard line coming up after this first. simple to the belly of is running back out to the left of the six yard. it is due Johnson is no good warranty already was under heavy duress from Thomas Davis who scored the tackle Thomas is an amazing athlete. fifteen years playing linebacker in the NFL and still playing at a high level incredible second down and nine from the seven yard line will go in the back field this time two receivers left three to the right four and a half minutes and counting to go in the first half Houston trailing by three. what's in the gun takes the staff from the goal line over the middle step. first down as he gets down to the eighteen yard line teamer was close enough for that tackle its eighteen eleven that's a big conversion rate the chains get some breathing room for the office or in the shadows of the goal posts their start met drive on the six yard line because of that ill advised decision by the publisher but here there are the movies to show the twenty yard line in the slot man on the right side will fuller split to the right H. great completions produce on Watson's under center. and he'll give it to. the middle runs into the teeth of the charger defense and gets three yards across the twenty to the twenty one Denzel Perryman middle linebacker with the stop rolling three forty five to go ahead. that reminds me the way he does cars I just ran that ball reminds me of John Robinson coaching Marcus Allen when I was at USC back in nineteen eighty one old school they give me a hard for first and then we'll worry about the big rooms so it's about the second down and seven they were just in the shadows letter about. twenty miles away from the Coliseum Johnson now off to the right one two three twenty to go the half second down and seven from the twenty one. if you're coming get today there's just to the floor right twenty. the thirty six yard line a big gain ray Shawn Jenkins the safety the tackle fifteen yards on the short pass and run see that that's right there this development of the quarterback and the office of system understand how they're going to handle the pressure where you need to go with a hot Cup the ball out of his hands quick phone turned to the running back who then makes a move nice pick up right there. Houston Texas Texans have all three other time outs and the two minute warning or two forty in county to go in this first half of the trail the Chargers tend to sell it as a place to. it is taken down by a couple three Chargers out of the forty three yard line leading away Brandon facing the quarterback the quarterback wants to get seven with his life. it looks like it turned into little option plan I'm not sure that was how the sign but certainly with an athlete like this on what's in the third a broken play into a seven yard to run a play before the two minute warning click like as eighteen seconds left two minute warning is going to come and they will not take the play here so the Texans are driving down three two minute warning ten seven felony charges believe this is football Sunday on ESPN radio presented by vivid seats. this season you can share cope with your team on it so I'm gonna tell you how with a little help from this quarterback. you can.

"If you're not a chargers we should do stuff and now i'm thinking hanson's right. Maybe maybe i'm overthinking. Maybe it should just be a charger show. Yes i think so it's polka. I think if you're not a charges fan you'll enjoy these interviews because they were all really like dave cousin berry very unique interview style with n._f._l. Poster that you're not going to get from anyone else. If you want to put some players by these these guys all did some players liars. Don't buy in there. Are some there come on their insurance. There're some players who are just. They're not the best interview talking about youth just them. They're not agree interviews. These you guys are all good eric wedge. I've only had the weird thing is is a great. I've only had yeah who couldn't bring anything out. I would say i've only had to properly bad interviews like where it was just like wow i mean that guy. Just didn't click very well in a decade. The widow weddell one is different because he's clearly early a charming and funny but he just didn't like me. No it's not him. I'm saying there were other guys who are still in the n._f._l. So i don't want to say who they are. That's fine and they didn't get on with me that well. I think it was. I think it was pre-draft even i i don't think denzel perryman really a enjoyed your i think he was more like i better not say anything. That's part of the training process like this. You are not good for the pre drug process where you get media training. I refer you to late in vander ash that he had no escape he was you you sucked him in but in the pre draft training process they have they go through a lot of it which you don't see you'll hear about is media training and his how you should deal with the media. You are literally. He likes his whatnot. Well the guy the guy who was more transparent and like i am not going within one hundred yards of anything that would that would raise. The red flag was card hard. L. jones another charger current charger. We saw him out at cape but that was his. He was so guarded. It was obvious that it was has to better not say anything. People peyton manning dislikes you actively dislikes but for the record he and i have never had a legitimate. That's why actually he rejected. They rejected it hurts. They said no. He definitely gave you a clean any. I witnessed him. Give you a clear. No on other occasions tried to interact with them. That's not true we had a laugh at the super bowl he and i i said i said who whoever wrote that book in sticking their rear end. Whoever wrote the book on peyton doesn't win in the postseason can put that adding their rear end and i saw him at the super bowl and i'm like peyton. I'm the one who wrote that book. Can i take the book out yet and he said no keep it there. Joe that was funny and but no payton was hooked up for he was doing a rotation of interviews for tv for yes and he you know oh as as they do. They said what's next who's coming up next year and they said oh you have n._f._l..

"So I think that's an area they could look to to address early on offensive guard tackles and other position. I think that they could they could upgrade I think linebacker Denzel Perryman Kyle manual both free agents. So that could be a spot and then. Jason barrett. What are they going to do with that that cornerback spot as well? So they've got a lot of question marks on the defensive side of the ball. I'd be surprised if they didn't go defense. And I think the other thing too, we need to look at is that what point do you try to draft a quarterback to develop in and maybe potentially become the heir-apparent to Philip rivers Daniel Jones spot from Duke, if you think that the locks go a lot higher Jerry Tillery who ran really well. From Notre Dame had some splash flash games while games at Notre Dame. Jerry Tillery watching them all year. Look like a late one. He could be there. They need a defensive tackle desperately and Jeffrey Simmons not and prisoner guy. I mean, how far now do you push him is he a second round or at some point somebody by the time, we get the late April. It's gonna look at that top five talent and say, I got it to get Jeffrey Simmons in the fold late. I ran into chargers could be Rams. There's teams in the late. I could medically redshirt in getting ready for year to Jeffrey Simmons, Jerry Tillery. It'll be tough to pass over at that point in the draft of the chargers who desperately needed defensive tackle the Denver Broncos. Denver broncos. Mel did. They solve their quarterback program or problem program by getting your boy, because I guess that's kind of one of the questions is is the addition of the Baltimore rifle with the fabulous. Rocco? Yeah. Joe flacco is the addition of him enough to keep them off that position as a talking point in that draft or does the addition of Joe flacco, and in at least the possibility that both him and keenum could be gone by next year almost exceleron it do you need to get somebody around to around three and say, all right. Let's let's start the developmental car. Back up again. Yeah. For John Elway it's been Peyton Manning at the end of his career win the Super Bowl. Then you bring in Paxton Lynch bus, then you bring in case keenum disappointment. Now, you trade for Joe. Laco at some point. They gotta get it right last year because it got stung on Lynch didn't take the doting. They don't look at Josh Allen. So again, you're looking at a team that just hasn't been in sync with the way the quarterbacks have gone and other teams were trying to get Lynch had. They got out Kansas City. You try to get Lynch God. And they wouldn't have had my homes and Denver wouldn't have ever had Lynch. So a lot of things went crazy that year because of the Lynch and the situation there, but they got to get I haven't even like Joe flacco. But I think the draft a young quarterback he's gonna get mid thirties. Now with injury question is not a bad thing to do. Not at ten is the team has some holes. They need a corner. You think about down the line tight end wide receiver, nose tackle interior. The line is teams got a lot of areas..

"I agree. So last one on this list is the center Cole toner. I've been pretty indifferent. Here toner was the depth signing, but was inactive. Every game. But one I would think there might be potential players bring into camp on the line that might be better. But again, this is a low risk. And I think the team brings them back. I would too I guess they he was one of the team's best fifty three players. So you might as well bring him back as interior office of line depth into camp. It's under a million dollars. Why not? Yeah. I was also in different. But you know, you look at the offense of wine pouncey kind of regret at the end of the year fiend in play very well. Scofield didn't play very well. The second half of the year. Toner is a center. He's listed as a center is tackle by trade. He's played guard. He's a guy who could maybe sneak into the ninth or tenth offense of lineman role in camp. If he has a really good camp. I think there are probably better options out there. And I think they will bring in other options. But you know, there's no riskier, even if you wind up cutting doesn't really cost anything. So I think he's back. I don't think they really think twice about it. Like, I said, these exclusive rights reagents, they're almost always brought back because of how cost control they are. So I think that's what happens here. We've agreed on everything so far. Let's go ahead and move onto unrestricted free agents and we'll start with the linebacker, Denzel Perryman. I think the charters will try to resigned Enzo paramount. I think they will probably try to resign him on a one year. Prove it kind of deal. I think. I think it's gonna be tough to get him to resign. A one year deal though, I would be surprised if he could find a two or three deal somewhere else. I think he probably thinks he's worth more than a one year deal and probably winds up walking. And I'm okay with that..
