"Is where he wanted to be but joan. The interesting thing is. Is that a guy like evan. Roberts has finally figured it out and started to understand exactly how a player can ruin a locker room and can really create lines within the locker room and ask people to define which side of the line there they stand on and how that impacts the entire group it impacts the coach impacts the general manager impacts the trainers. Everybody now has got to have an opinion about everything and it really puts people in a really tough spot and one of the reasons. I'm gonna say eboni were fighting yesterday but we were discussing this and i was saying look man. The jets wanna play dense elms. The giants wanna play. Could area's tony but everybody in the building knows whether or not those guys deserve to be on the feel. I don't think there's a question in anybody's mind that they all have the ability to be out on the field and to be impactful players but they have to learn how to be a professional. So what does that really mean. As i give myself the question what it means it means you have to follow the same set of rules and expectations. That everybody else is now looked. Bill parcells was famous for having a lawrence taylor rules and then enrolls everybody else. There's certain guys that you just deal with because they're so special and they're so different that you have to make certain exceptions and i understand that they're always going to be those exceptions but in this case when you have rookies and young players You know they have to earn their right to be on the field because if they're on the field doing what they're not supposed to be doing then impacts another player on that team. Who wants to do it the way that the coach wants to do it and we'll give maximum effort and be there every day but then all of a sudden come sunday another guy is going to be rewarded to be on the field when he's not doing the things that he supposed to be doing and i think this is what the nets are realizing with kyrie irving. They probably have realized that from the first day that they signed him but now this is getting to an extreme degree. And it's the same thing with young players like dairies. Tony denzel mims. I mean so there's gotta be something going on as to why he is not on the field as the same thing with cadaver tony the same thing. There's something going on. These guys are not on the field. Does something other than you know. They don't know the playbook they're falling asleep in meetings late for meetings. They're making the same mistakes on the practice field. Although michael four oh dental had a great practice. He's getting better every day all right. Well let's see my little connell action form. That's what's going on here i. I don't think it's coddling you down. Build them up you know. But i think if they were coddling they'd be playing them but they're not they're not really playing either one of them and an and i just got here but i mean that's all right. "Last night. He's virtually unstoppable. I'm in the ball was everywhere it needed to be last night. It was right there. It was right there and you could see the way he throws. It brings me to my next point. My next point is. I went back and i watched the entire tape of the jets offense. I didn't wanna watch the defense. I wanna watch the offense. I wanted to see the mass or something. Damascus i wanna see what sack wilson's doing what he's doing wrong. And then i wanna to compare it to what rob's solid said about a quarterback after yesterday's press conference and i could see where rob saw is coming from. Believe it or not you know. Zach wilson is a really good player. Man he can throw the crap out of the ball and he is accurate. You know. there are times where young quarterbacks are gonna make really bad decisions. And they're going to have we're going to have to live with it and that's exactly where the jets are right now because they don't have anybody behind him he's the guy no matter what he can go out there and throw five interceptions next week against denver and it's not going to matter but what you do what you are looking for. You're looking just for glimpses of ways that you could say. Wow you know. First of all michael four called a pretty damn good game. It was just a decision. Making by a jack wilson that ended up costing them the game and a few errant throws that all of a sudden the game turns. And because you're playing in an nfl game. That momentum is almost impossible to get back when your quarterback has turned the ball of the way he is so he had to really bad throws he had the one under throw that was picked off and then he had the one overthrow that was picked off the other ones. You know i. I mean he had one go through the hands of corey davis and he had one where he would just a little bit more accurate to throw it on the back. Shoulder of corey davis. Maybe that ball doesn't get tipped. And maybe that's not intercepted. And i know that's looking at the tape with rose colored glasses. I understand that well. But it's giving him the benefit of the doubt because he's a rookie playing in his second game. I like the way they've ran the ball. I liked the way that their defense played. And it was one guy that really just had a completely off day and probably the worst. He's ever had playing the game of football and the fact that you hear his teammates and is coaching staff. Say that is a walk around with a scowl on his face. he doesn't have his head down. You know that's what a leader has to do. He's gotta be positive at all times. He's got a shop the practice he's got a lead by example and he's gotta take the slings and arrows that come with playing a poor game now. This week they go to denver. It's not gonna be much easier. And i don't know really much more than after watching the game and watching how many times they had six or seven past protectors in for zach wilson and. Keep it simple for him. I don't know how much more simple they can make it. So they're gonna they're gonna fight through this. They're going to push through this and they believe and i don't know this from talking to anybody over there. I only know from watching the game. And how the game unfolded. They pulled back after those first interceptions. There's no question about it. And then when he when you blocked six or seven guys you really don't have the underneath guys to drop it off too. Because they're usually the blocking scheme you have one or two wide receivers to pick from down the field and that's about all the decision you gotta make gonna make. I'm not going to get to the guy or am. I going to throw it over the guy's head so saying all what i just said and watching a tape history. I still am extremely high on the extreme. It's not time to give up on it. But this year they might not want to gain this year telling me may not want to get our throws that are made in these game that you can see it you could just you could see that one. The light goes on and he figures it all out. He's going to be really damned good if he doesn't get hurt okay. It's the one thing that i worry about with all these young kids whether or not they can protect themselves on the field and as long as they can protect themselves in the field they belong on the field. And i i just. I don't know that he's seeing everything that he needs to see right now. And and that really it hamstrings play caller at hamstrings the play designer and it creates it creates problems and indecisiveness within everybody within the log. I guess the thing that. I'm worried about after watching this game in week. Two is how ugly can it get like. We're all assuming that it's going to get better. I don't know if it's going to get better. I mean i'm not saying. I'm giving up on them but this year could get really really ugly and the other thing i'm concerned about quite frankly is you'll mci becton. Who was a huge draft. Pick for joe. Douglas came into camp this year. Out of shape ends up getting hurt and we're not going to see him for a while. Denzel mims with another big pick for joe. Douglas is non-existent. And nobody's even talking about why he's not around. Rob sala gets asked about it. It's like well that position that wide receiver. Whatever the fifth wide receiver is someone who has to be playing special teams dens omens came to denzel. Men's was a huge part of your offense. Give me a better. And he's not playing bounty. He's not supposed to be the wide receiver. Exactly he's supposed to be like the two or three especially with. James is not playing right. So what what the hell is going on. So those are the things that are okay. You're you're turning over this new leaf in this new regime and these draft picks half the hit they have to. And it's not just zach wilson. It's these other guys and you really haven't seen any of that. So i don't know exactly where this roster is going if anything. I was impressed with on sunday. Was the fact that the defense in the first half look like they could be a legitimate defence at some point. So i'm hoping that the rob solly impact is is there but i i mean they they look so bad at times in these first two games in the first half of week one and the second half of week two that you could make a strong case. They don't win a game this year. I can understand why you say that especially in light of what just happened this past sunday. But i just go back and look at it a little bit differently. I'm you know. I'm not looking at it from the fans point of view where it's bothering me the ways. Look i'm trying to just make determinations as to whether certain players can play and make certain plays and how do they look on the field and that wolf looks the part he really does. That's the good news for the jet fan. The jet fan also has to realize as i said on sunday. They're starting over there starting over there starting over with the new head coach new quarterback new offense and defensive coordinators. They got like thirty coaches over. There it's all still finding their way figuring out the decisions that they have to make the first series of the second quarter. I think they ran. You plays in the first quarter at the end of the first quarter but they went right down the field. I mean they ran the ball. They threw the ball. Elijah boys hit on the sideline. Everything looks great and then all of a sudden they have a false start penalty or whatever it was and it's just those little things that happened with a with a quarterback that's young offensive line. That's not sure war and you know it's just it's it's just a frustrating growing pains that you have in the nfl. But i i will sit here and tell you looking at that tape and then you know watching the tape from week one especially in the second half against carolina. This kid compliant You you can't call easier plays in. They're calling right now. Well let me ask you because aaron rodgers last night. Yeah they got those two safeties back. They're running the ball. They're running the ball running the ball because they have one less guy in the box. Around the line of scrimmage and that's exactly what they should be doing and you have a hall of fame quarterback all pro wide receiver. And you know. They're getting frustrated but they're doing what they need to do. In order to win the game. And they're sticking with it and they're not trying to force feed anything and then when the read comes where the opportunity is going to be there to stick one into the tight end. Really close down for a touchdown throw one that. Davonte adams down the sideline. they connect on those. They didn't have like fifty of those throws last night. Had about two or three of them in every single one of them worked because aaron rodgers was on last night and he sees things and he knows things. And you can't trick him. I'm not sure how big Singletary's numbers will be, Um, I don't think you'll end up having like a 50 catch season or anything, either, so I would shy away from Singletary. But Davis as soon as next year could be the number two guy behind digs on the depth chart. Yeah, So that's a good choice. A lot of answers here. Area has been legitimately one of the most housed about players at the patriots training camp. Who knows if that will amount to anything. So i think lies more a player. I i think we all kind of agree is really potentially useful in dynasty. Don't know that he's the kind of guy that a touchdown upside you just don't see. i mean. we talked about this. "On the other hand, you know, Detroit is the one that jumps out guys. I mean, it was rough. You know where you lose Kenny Holiday Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola. Even Mohammed Sanu was running as one of their top guys last year. All of those guys are gone, so they're going with guys that had pretty much been on IR or depth receivers. For years now is their top guys for shot. Perriman Tyrell Williams missed all last season. Monroe ST Brown. Queenie Queenie, Mia Saint Brown's brother. They drafted him in the fourth round. Those are the kind of guys are gonna be running outcome. Uh, week one. So good luck to Jared Goff there, But there are teams definitely fell for sure. I guess Houston will throw in there right? They lose. Wolf Fuller is an interesting one. There. For sure. So a lot of talent at the position you mentioned earlier. Lots of it's really hard to pick apart too many of these units guys because there's been so many high pedigree receivers drafted the past couple of years on day one and day two, and it's just filling up the league. And it's just It's gonna be really exciting to watch passing games continue to evolve with all this talent. What about the A F? C East? The Patriots? The Jets the Dolphins give us a quick thumbnail year You mentioned the Dolphins that they got a lot better. And that seems obvious. At least at first blush. What about the Patriots and the Jets? If you're talking five deep receiver there, one of the best in the business much like The bills are and then the Patriots. Guys have them still rank 31st. I mean, they are one of the weaker teams at that spot. Nelson, a Galarza guy they signed away from the Raiders. He kind of emerged as their number one last year, but obviously he was very much up and down during his time in Philadelphia. They've Jacoby Meyers, who's their de facto Julian Edelman. Replacement member Edelman's retired now Kendrick born was basically the fourth stringer for the 49 ers. He's up there and could run as high as number two on the depth chart to kill. Harry would be their number four as we know he's asked for a trade, so the Patriots still weak at that spot, but I have, You know, we just talked about three wide receiver set projections for next season of the Patriots. I think, 30 if they're 29th on that list because I think they'll run a ton of 12 personnel. They didn't do it at all. Last year, they'll do it a lot this year after they signed John who Smith and Hunter Henry. So to really good tight ends. Expect to see a lot of that when the Patriots on the schedule Mike, you talk about how much talent there is a receiver. Tight end when it comes to fantasy situations is almost the opposite. If you don't have you know Waller, Kelsi Kettler Andrews. It's almost, uh, You know a crap shoot out there. Is there a guy that maybe you look at that might Be able to take the leap in that elite category this season and one guy I want to point out whether you think he's the possibility or not, is a former Buffalo Bill Logan Thomas, who, when he was in Buffalo, he's a converted quarterback. You're wondering how this guy ever becomes effective and an old behold. Last year, he had a pretty respectable fantasy season at tight end for Washington. And I actually just wrote an entire article like 809 100 words, Something like that, just on Logan Thomas because I feel like right now he is maybe the most undervalued player in fantasy draft at this point in the off season, so 100% with you. I think he could join that conversation One year ago. I feel like we were having the same conversations about about Darren Waller that we're having about Thomas now. And it was okay. Yeah, he came out of nowhere had this breakout year, But they added Henry rugs and Nelson a color and Brian Edwards in the third round. There's just to all the targets are going there. He's not going to. He's going to see a big drop. And it's just not going to work out in fantasy. Well, you know, the cream rises to the top. He was their best offensive target for sure. He showed that and obviously had he had an even better season. I think that could be the case here for Thomas. I mean, Think about it. Last year, he was the number three scoring fantasy tight end, right? He had four hit a top 10 fantasy with four different quarterbacks and guys. None of those four quarterbacks are projected starters this season. Right? We're talking Alex Smith and Dwayne Haskins, Kyle Allen, and honestly, I'm trying to blank on the fourth one at this point, so it was it was rough. Go, Nikki, right quarterback. What was that high? Rankings of the players in the afc sobe starting from the bottom and then working my way up to the player that i think will be the best in that division so starting off the list at the bottom the very bottom. I have sony michelle now. I think this is kind of a maybe a little bit. Maybe he deserves to be a little bit higher. But i put him down at the bottom. I think more so. Because i think he has dealt with injuries. I mean this is a pretty good running back You know back when he was first drafted by the patriots. He was definitely a solid running back rb to at least i remember for one of my friends. He was doing well for them. But i don't know. I just feel like for him. He can't really make an impact on the team. You know. sometimes if you can't stay healthy but you know. I still think that you know deeper leagues. She'll definitely warrant. You know some looks and some people will definitely draft him. But i don't know. I feel like he's not going to be as good as People think he will be possibly I don't think a lot of people are going to expect them to like the world on fire but You know i. I think there's not a lot of stock for him. And i just feel like you know i i feel like damian. Harris is going to take over that running back role. I feel like that's going to happen. But we'll see then moving onto after that i would say kohl's beasley kobe's you'll be the next player on this list. You know definitely a really good slavi for this team. I feel like oh for him. He's going to be the third option on this team. I don't know why But i just feel like for him. He's another guy gets banged up a lot too and misses some time. But he's a good player. he's a good player. And i definitely think that he will make an impact on his team. But i don't think that in terms of fantasy he's going to put up a lot of numbers solid numbers so he's probably at the bottom as well. Same thing with kendrick born on this list. He's probably going to be the number two wide receiver on the team. Maybe the number three I don't really expect him to like the world on fire as well. I think it was definitely a much-needed signing by the patriots. I like i said i. I love what the patriots have done in the off season. I definitely think that you know they're going to be. They're going to be better this year. I think it. It's very easy to say that. And i feel like he's going to make an impact but i think in terms of fantasies not really going to make a huge impact so moving onto the next player on this list. I have Oh sorry oh yeah. I'm getting all mixed up. Denzel mims and you know i. I saw some flashes out of him last year You know the chargers game. I know he had. He had a really good game there. believe the ad. I want to say he had two touchdowns in that game. One hundred percent sure But that was joe flacco throwing the ball obviously. Now you got jack wilson. Coming in and zach. Wilson has got a huge arm. So denzil mems if he can stay healthy you know. I think he's gonna make a little bit more of an impact as to as opposed to some of these guys just because the jets don't have i think they do have the weakest receiving core out of all the teams in their division. So i think that's going to give him more opportunities but we'll have to say but yeah i don't expect him to be a guy that people are going to be jumping to get you know when it comes to fantasy but maybe in dynasty leagues but okay so then moving on to the next player on this is james white. I think really what makes him. Valuable is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. That's why i'd probably put him ahead of all these guys. But i don't expect him to make a huge impact either just because you know he's only used he's only used for really third down situations in passing situations. He is a good receiver. I can't argue. That won't in terms of him being running back. He's a good receiver but he's not like the focal point of this offense so i i think that that hurts him a little bit but i would put them ahead of these guys just because i feel like you can find some value with him and i think he can make an impact. You know if you have to maybe spot stardom a little bit. You know if you if you start them at the on the right week he can you know. Make an impact. But i think for the most part you know. It's he's probably not going to be that huge of an impact just because the patriots have so many running backs. And you know they're going to be you know they're really gonna be ryan the hot hand. So yeah that's right put lower. I actually have a larger more. I feel like with this guy. A lot of people talking about his ability to you know go deep and you know be that guy and i feel like for him. That puts them a little bit higher than some of these guys I think a lot of people particularly japan's are excited about this. Pick and i think him. Zach wilson develop a nice. Little chemistry developed. Some some chemistry there. You know they can They could find success but again i think he's not going to make a huge fantasy impact immediately. I think he'll be somewhat of a waiver. Wire pickup after that. I have james. Crowder crowder's actually an underrated player and fantasy. I feel like you know with the right quarterback he does well Obviously i don't think you'll be on the jets for a lot longer Maybe this is a guy that somebody might trade for at some point. "So they could either use one of those pics to replace your golf in the draft or they could, you know, make a package deal. Like say, hey, we'll try two first-round picks to move up in the draft to, like a top-three pick and go get a quarterback. There are so many opportunities here, for the Lions to build the team that got assets. They've got a good coach or two, they've got em back Jared Goff who may or may not work, but even if he doesn't work, don't panic, you can replace him. Detroit has a really good opportunity here to do well. In this reboot probably the best opportunity of had in a long, long time to rebuild their football team and do a good job. So I just think the Detroit Lions right now. I restore line worth keeping track of, it's the first time in my life time I've ever been like huh, I want to watch the Lions play. I'm really curious. Can they be good? I don't know, but it's it's worth noting like wage. They're doing some interesting stuff and it's worth paying attention to my number eight storyline to keep track of this year as a New York Jets. The Jets are also rebuilding, but the Jets have three things that I love. They've got a good GM, a good head coach, and a good Young quarterback. First, as a GM Joe, Douglas this song done a really good job of drafting and building this team, it's unfortunate. He got there a little too late to help Sam darnold. But this time around with their second, Young quarterback, Zach Willis and like he's actually he's building off last year. They got my guy back in in the first round. They got a couple of good draft picks last year. Denzel mims in the second round, Ashton Davis safety thirties and those moves they made building off the and continuing to build a good team around Zach Wilson. They got a big receiver. Corey Davis, they got their making move after move. Like they're doing interesting stuff. I'm like huh, they drafted a lifesaver Tucker and the first round another offensive lineman for Zach Wilson. So, I I think that Joe Douglas is a really good general manager. I would put him up there. Probably right behind a guy, Chris Ballard, the GM of the Colts, who, I think it's the best GM in the NFL right now. And then.
