Dale dean surprised doctors in Newton, Texas last week by surviving a direct lightning strike. Dean says his truck got stuck in the mud during a storm and he was hitching it up to be towed out when. The lightning struck and it's strike mean. Through the cable and it knocked me about three feet over in the ditch. It was a real scary moment for me. A coworker called dean supervisor for help giving him to the hospital at the hospital doctors told dean the lightning passing through his body should have caused a heart attack. His wife Beverly joined him at the hospital and took him home. On our way home from the hospital, I reached over and I grabbed his hand and I thought, if it would have been different, I would have been coming home by myself. According to the CDC, odds of being struck by lightning in any given year are one in a million. Dean says he's blessed to have survived the strike. For what it's worth, I'm Derek Dennis, ABC News. You could go like Wisconsin and just, you know, trying to be road graders. I think you want to be able to. You want to be able to gear it up in the air, and you want to be able to grind it out of the ground in the fourth quarter when you want to. I mean that to me, That's some some of that sound simplified, but You know, just talking about time of possession. It does protect the defense There. You do have a point there. All right. I need that comment to Jamie when they hired Josh Gattis. I have a different thing about that. Maybe one time When I see you. I mean, Mike Bottom has done a miraculous job with that women's swim team. It's never been a better and the fact that he's coaching both. I gotta give them two thumbs up, Assist Commander keeper I know nobody cares about swimming. But for the two of you that deal, Mike Bottom deserves your respect. And you know what? We're very lucky to have a guy like him, and he's bringing back the U of M diving again. So it's a positive day today.
