"Up white light so you know so. You're getting a light but you're not getting colors so you kinda have to so. This is a reason why like you know when you're looking at buying lights. You kind of need to think about what you're actually going to be using them for so for example these lights that we have highlighted here. There are one hundred ninety one hundred ninety dollars so literally for like sixty dollars more. I can get the ones that do color changing. So you kind of have to weigh the pros and cons in terms of the lights at. You're going to buy for your live streams because get one hundred dollars versus two hundred and fifty five. You know it's about sixty dollars difference. That's awesome like to be able to have the ability to control colors. I think i'm gonna probably go with the ones with color changing versus just getting the standard demel barn door lights like you have here now. Marcus good there's something am i don't know this one. Let me see. Because those. I'm using they also have this Battery place and the s. and does one as well. Okay so you can buy batteries and you can turn this portable. Lights is an interesting as well. Yeah no definitely a- and so you have to keep this in mind like when you're deciding what kinds of light you need. So for example these barns or options do yours have do your mites that have the color changing to those have a battery on them or are they ac power. There's there's a place there's a place to put the batteries. If i want to buy the batteries i can use that. And also there's a diffusion filter remove as well. So that's something that you have to consider when you're buying lights. You gotta think about the practicality you gotta think about or you're going to be traveling with these or these this can be set up in your home office or your studio so for example you know if you're going to be traveling around then you probably want some that has power but can also be supported battery. But if you're just in your office or your your studio and you're not traveling around with by the ones that don't save some money by the ones that don't need the battery necessarily so i want to bring up another. We have great comment from your team. W saying marco. I started with the large soft box lights and then ended up buying a set of newer. led panels that. you're showing just white with the app to control brightness. Wish i went to colored ones and so again..

"I think that's one of the reasons why people keep coming back because other than we're brilliant Beijing we keep changing the shows and keep doing do characters and we drag up songs that we haven't played forever and and we every year so normally in the past we do show and we did like a fully show he did la dolce vita kind of show and we did a nor phil show and we keep we constantly change so anyway i one of our. We're thinking about what the next show is because once we do these all these bunch of dates that we've never played completion backward principle. We got to have a new show. And so that's going to require you know costuming and rehearsal and fear out and so we're thinking about doing remote control and doing the whole whole remote control revival and do that album top to bottom the thing with remote control was we only had a month and that was it. We had a month to put this together and we didn't have any songs we had. Just come off tour. In in like november we took december off and then we had january to do the album and then to release it in february and go out on tour her again in march. We did that over and over again. We did march to november. We did that like twelve years in a row and then go back in and do an album and then go back out and so we had tours. We had a dates. Today's booked we had everything booked and we had only so much time to do that record and we didn't have songs and i had read this book. I kind of came up with the concept of remote control. I actually didn't come up with the concept plagiarized from jersey kaczynski. Who wrote being there. And at the time i read this book i i he wrote painted birdie. I i really love this book so i wrote and i read being there. I thought this is so great. You know the kid who never gets outside who'd never has a real experience. It's all virtual. He's you know he's shuddered. His parents don't care about him. He sits there watches. Tv all day long. So i thought this is a great idea and so. I told todd about the idea of here. Here's a kid who just want. It's all kind of the ironic part is that that's kind of the way. All of us grew up in arizona because it was a hundred and fifty outside. And you didn't go outside during the day you were inside and watching. Tv all day long. And you're watching. You know the the rifleman and wanted dead or alive and tv westerns. Long the virginian and you know paladin and all and i love and and cowboy movies and so that's kind of the way we grew up is watching tv. And i thought well this is so perfect and so we we kind of adapted that whole idea and we had no songs so the plan was. We're we were recording studio in san jose california and we would go in in the morning and we'd sit there and all of us seven of us who sit there and together with todd and go. Okay okay so it's a. It's about a kid who watches. Dvd all day long. So what's the first thing. Turn me on okay. So then we write the lyrics for turn me on and then we go for lunch and then we go back into the studio the afternoon and we figure out what is the music turn me on and how does it fit with the lyrics were and so we come up with the song and then the next day we went into went okay. Wha- what what's next. Tv is king. Okay all right okay. Tv's king into saving. We write their lyrics in the morning afternoon. Writes a song and record it. And i think the the brilliance of that. Not that we're it was intended. Was that you know. I think one of the things that drives me crazy most about songwriting is second guessing yourself and you know all well i'll try this and we'll try that and let me change this only change that and you second guess yourself again and again again until you're back to the very first idea you had you can't beat the demel you know you go in the studio and you have a great demo and then you try eighteen thousand different things and they all suck and then you got back to the demo and so we had no time we had. I can't say that it was intentional. Because we had no time we couldn't go back and redo it and rerecord and fix this and fix that so the record was.

"All-share that on picks they may not get like the actual tracks but no scott is very much of an open book that everybody should be on the same page and things work best when we all can see the process as it moves forward in see how we got to see by seeing what a mb were so And so they were always seeing the different versions until you know scott would do his pass with me then we would push it forward to them and then continue you know. They would then officially become a part of that process but quite early. Yeah this is a project we finished in the age of covid so we were buried ended on a means of communication we we all stat in jio isolated environments but a very much involved in the final mix and you know using source connecting never cast and picks all of these collaborative tools. We're able to stay in far better touch than even sometimes if we were just down the hall from each other you know. These tools are wonderful way to sort of remove the walls. They have in a typical cutting room. You know everyone has an office but when everybody has the collaboration tool and you know in a way to ten text messages and stuff it can be really really wonderful i. I didn't think i put the covid was a feature not a bug to helping us. Really get our heads around this project in and and work together. Yeah remote. Carlos where did you record the score. How did you record the score. Well pre covid. I had had musicians. Come and sit on a couch. I have back year and with mike and And then you know some of it just add a little realism to the demos as they were being made but once you know covert hit. Obviously that ended and i get my demos skill. Set like using libraries and Improved it just. That forced a kind of a step up in the level of the demos. That i was presenting because we were not sure. If we're gonna get to record and we got to record with these Or the budapest orchestra and and in hungary and We were fortunate enough that the days we had set. It all happened by coincidence. We weren't expecting it but the day that we were set to record his day that they allowed a for the musicians to be in the room and record you know the orchestra so we were able to get a live orchestra record. This and i do think at elevated what would have potentially been like just demel kind of based score for the show to it added that depth. I don't it's really hard to talk about. But it added kind of a sense of dimension and space that that otherwise would have been there. And i do think it changed how people perceive the score for sure and story more importantly he. Do you want to talk about how you approach the sound in the Throughout the series depending on her state of mind and the situation for example when she has a devastating loss. Things like that on your do marvelous job bringing death to this character. So what we did in terms of sound was to kind of go inside of her head often and that was done through techniques that michelle was really the architect of scott. of course Wanted this to be a movie. That was far deeper and far more interesting than a than the trajectory of her chess career. So we are emotionally very attached to our character and all of our characters that there's a mother daughter. There's a woman coming of age. There's some really wonderful threats that were a were the backbone of sounded music. And i think carlos and i sort of share this love that music is sound. Sound effects are not a foreign element. Everything has to coalesce with the dialogue with cutting patterns in order for it to be ineffective audience. Attractive a work of art. You know so. That's kind of Our our feeling was to be again Adding to the palate things made a niche sing experience for the audience and to kind of track this in a period sense you know. We're we're really the nineteen sixteen in one thousand nine hundred seventy s that gave us some really nice advantages in terms of sound but it's You know it's a testimony. I think to scott Francs vision and netflix's persistent nature. Make films that are are passion projects for their directors producers that we had a chance to make this was a very collaborative very crafty experience. But you just learned about your nominations a few hours ago. I just can't believe that that this is a reality. I'm living. I gotta be honest with you because you know so. Many people take these moments for granted. I guess the. But i'm a fan of all of this first and so getting getting a chance to read the nominees who i'm nominated with. It's like i feel like i'm living a lie or something like this weird like i want to wake up and it'll be like you know a different gig altogether and some always. I'm always blown away. By the fact that i'm getting to talk to you girl or you know having these conversations with the people i talk with you know i haven't been able to say this but it's important also that not only do i feel very lucky to have been able to work with michelle. Wiley truly has been a mentor to me. 'cause i've been awed Only worked with him for the last three projects i had done and so scott says this all the time but we call him. Obi wan kenobi for a reason. And you can look them up on an eye. Md being in and see the credits at the things. He's worked on it but he takes time to call and say I have some thoughts. And i'm like okay. Go ahead you know. And and i and. I've been listening attentively every single time. He's called and and some of the stuff that we get to do. And i realize that it's actually unorthodox the fact that we are collaborating sound and music. When i hear now that i've been doing this for a little bit so many stories of like you know the sound will battle it out with music on the stage and it's like that's not how this works and being able to work with someone at his level and i like a nerdy thing. Say just like totally out. There's a moment in the final game. After beth looks at the ceiling and she sees like you know she has all the superhero moment and then she looks back down. The first book she does is is is this like she goes but wiley ads like a whip sound which is possible that he goes push like that who why but it works and that going along with the music is the kind of stuff that kinda turns me on. It's like oh my god. This is so exciting. I get like a nerd out. Most of the sounds that colossus talking about are really just lost city. Sounds so what we try and do is develop a vocabulary for for picture cuts and for camera action and And for punctuation so Sound effects and sound design can be very effective as punctuation tool what the sound is much as far maybe more interesting less interesting but the application of it and the synchronization of it is really. What's critical so if leads the cut or if it lags. The cut has a completely different feel and and with music. It's always who's got. The downbeat is going to be the composition. Or is it going to be something that we're going to use to give us an introduction to the competition so And that's why. I think carl said that sometimes it feels like battle because sometimes it truly is. 'cause people aren't talking to each other but carlson i are always say. Hey you're gonna jump in. We're going to lead that in comment on it with something. Maybe sound design. Or we're just gonna leave it alone and you please. If you need something to s- askins there so that's what collaboration all about between the news again in sound effects and we're always talking about it you know i mean it starts with with the picture too. It's like okay. I know that here. We're gonna want carlos account takeover or maybe wiley can do this this section of it and even when they're all together i mean i'm always because i think the way they do in terms of music and sound being the same thing sounds music music that when i'm cutting because i cut with my ears mostly not with my i start with my ear so it it always has a feeling that that will usually ever since i started cutting ends up working out for everybody. Has that kind of fits. You know that that rhythmically works so so that that's helps as well and you know i'll say two things one. The emmy is a very inclusive award and it brings together our whole crowd. You know Tom cramer music editor of the eric. Persian in creek kelsey and editors and supervising editors in new york sound editors. This is a wonderful thing. That really is very inclusive. The emmy awards. And and i think you know just in terms of of this kind of filmmaking. We're always sort of leading or lagging each other said and that's what makes it such a lovely thing. I think with music. Carlos and with with all of our teams that we can go from From leading to following you know very quickly and we're very gentle with each other and very focused on trying to make entertainment and make it as competently and as efficiently and as creatively as humanly possible so to be nominated for an emmy is just the icing on the cake and to see all of you today just through this through these little winds is feels like home. It's all the while you started to do it. But would i. Would each of you like to give shots tier teams. Well i want to. I mean my assistants were just the bomb I got to with only two but they were to want to best assisted new york. Charlie greene philip kinsey. Pk and And we had such a great stellar post staff that actually helps all of us You know mick and santo and diana kylo anthony Blanking anthony anthony gifford. You know it's a small team. Because i remember you know scott wanted us to try to keep it tight and You know is basically the same size is the team but They're just amazing. Because we had all worked together before with some exceptions in the post staff. You know it just made it a lot very easy familiar in just we just had a good time and rail to be creative in instead of just checking off the basic points but yes i i thank them greatly. You're on. I'd love to give a shout out at a special. Thanks to to wealth for rachel chancey. Who did fully end did do your job in particularly for break a sweat laos key. I think really chaired the dialogue portions of the sound. Editing and eric hirsch arcane eleo marcel. The team was small but everybody including role and winky to production mixing was really spot on. Everybody really contributed and and work to lead their individual departments. So we shouldn't forget rv effects people manga and risks from from chicken bone. I mean they. They worked early on with us with the looks of the pieces on the ceiling. Mean they it was a long time to get to where scott was like. Okay yeah i think i mean. I literally months From october to june. That's a long time developing the looks in the movements in annual. Thank them as well. My shot goes to Tom kramer and thank you Widely for mentioning a merle sort of never shouted him out. I'm just getting no Tom kramer is You know if i first project i worked on my diaper changer. Basically as a music editor and then For the last ones now we're kind of like have a really interesting relationship and i'll leave it at that. Now i love the guy and Talk kramer music editor. And then david on ask ito who did additional music and really helped the team to really kinda give thanks to the end. I've been working with david for a little bit and oscar. Sort of new in For me just like learning this process in the industry has been like one of the great gifts of my life and so i really do appreciate that. They've enabled me to do that. As well as jeremy levi who orchestrated of help to get the music to the stands in budapest and And of course lawrence manchester who also got nomination for mixing the sort the score and his day job is like jimmy fallon show or the tonight show and i love that his day job is like it's pretty good so i'm grateful to them so definitely shout out to all of them. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for sure thank you..

"Mandalay bay which happened to be a different hotel together called four seasons so very interesting here going on with now. China a hotel collapsing buildings. Don't just collapse. If they're old and decrepit they may partially collapse. There may be something to do with that but tap these are these are buildings in good condition. That hotel in miami on they don't just collapse especially especially straight down another one in florida. The remaining section think two towers fell with the collapse. A couple of weeks ago. They did wire up. Detonate the rest of that building for safety reasons and then detonated the rest of it now. that looks almost. Identical is what we saw in the building came down in the first place so that does appear to be a controlled. Demel demolition now. An attorney the attorney general michigan has stated that we will use the state police in michigan to go after those who made false claims about election fraud in the twenty twenty election. That's very interesting. They wanna use now on. I want to go after people that made false claims now first of all they weren't false claims all claims that came forward from the vote voting fraud. The election fraud have been proven true. Mike lindell himself has two documentaries on that that clearly spells it out both video. Evidence of the frog of various states not just michigan but includes michigan in the audio of from the fraud and the cyber warfare The proof of what was going on flipping boats in background on those machines that were connected to the internet. Yes i said internet. They were connected. And also includes the affidavit sworn affidavits of individuals at filed they witnessed that they actually outright witnessed the fraud. So we already know that there was fraud. these claims. he's not allegations. These have already been proven. So this attorney. General michigan is really. I think up against a wall here because boy between wayne county antrim county. That's where most of the fraud was perpetuated from so now they're trying to do the fear they're trying to instill fear by saying we will go after you if you dare come forward. That's what this amounts to now. Last couple of days have been seen huge protests in cuba huge protests in south america so people are standing standing up. And there's various revolts going on here in the world They're not making. They're not really headline news here in the united states. They're farther down. But if you go to some of these other news channels around the world. These are leading huge leading news stories so once again worth it to follow worth it to follow and to take note that the american for us is not hardly following these stories at all michael. Don't buy when you're the one that's in charge of the books and you've got to try to figure row you know okay. How can we keep what we got here and try to stay castrol positive but you know we also got meet these demands over here and we definitely got to meet the demands here for our shareholders and and stocks. And you know research your shit people. I can't stress enough research shit. Sure it's real cool. It comes off real cool saying why can't wwe or insert the name of the promotion. It's real easy. Just say that. In you know you get those clicks you get those yeah brother. I agree with you if fuck yet. Fuck that company. It's real easy when you actually really take the time now and you do the research. Let me tell you something until you have actually live the real world on your own on your own. No parents helping you know financial aid from the government or anything. Like that as your crutch until you're in that position where okay. I am responsible for my own transportation. I am responsible for my own groceries. I am responsible for my own house you know my my own the roof over my head boarding and all that I am responsible for insert my car. You know. I am still falls under transportation. You know. I am responsible for in certain certain certain. Oh but at the same time in order to pull all of this off at last i want to do is just beginning by and once. I paid everybody what they need to be getting. I'm a big fat zero. Until the next time i pay. No no no. No no i want to be able to take care of everybody and have a plus gain yata. Thank you know until you've lived that life and you've actually juggled the books for your own life. Dobie talking about ship that you have no idea about because yeah it's a whole different beast when you're out there on your own just just you'll find out for those of you that younger you'll you'll fuck and find out but i know for a majority of our audience because i see you. Guys age demographic wise you guys are like eighteen so fifty four you know the real deal but our younger audience that still just kind of scratching the surface. You'd like thirteen. Seventeen year olds just scratching the surface. Just trying to you. Know you'll you'll get there. You'll get there in due time. Don't worry about it Let's see other than nats taos talking about. I was talked about some of those cuts The had came about Yeah we talked about. The media grew to have method division in everything we talked about kevin dine. He has or pretty much updated on that Other than that. An t can we talk. Inex- t. I wanna say. I had put out a ratings projection for annex t. I'm just trying to remember what the number was. Put out For you guys. I kind of feel as though the numbers might have been seven hundred and at and i got to go back and listen to the episode but i kind of feel like maybe seven hundred fifty. Four thousand is what. I was shooting for for this week because i felt it was a pretty strong episode with some pretty solid matches and everything. Well we're got the official number rating an audience for this week's annex t slipped even lower compared to Last week's the week before numbers. A low slight tuesday's episode brought in a zero point thirteen rating in the eighteen to forty nine demographic topped it off at six hundred ninety eight thousand viewers. Those numbers are down thirteen percent and less than one percent from last week. Zero point fifteen demel rating the had audience of seven hundred thousand so this demo rating right now. In march the lowest point of the tuesday night era of annexed t thus far thus far say thus far while audience came close to the low which was the six hundred ninety seven thousand from two weeks ago the rating was the lowest since the march seventeenth episode which drew zero point. Thirteen so again to may numbers you want home in on last week was seven hundred thousand. This week was six hundred ninety. Eight thousand so they could not even break the seven hundred's i jus- that's just a a head. Fuck in you know. It almost kind of feels as though were kinda. Get into that point. Where way w you drive because annex t was also on at the same time and you know an annex t you benefited because a w was on at the same so bulf benefited from each other and now that they are essentially apart. Yeah sure a w was looking pretty damn good there those first couple of weeks but now were gonna you know it's come getting lower. It's kinda getting lower. Meanwhile x t. It's it's getting lower khanna steady. It's getting lower as far as inex- t segment breakdowns I'm trying to see if we got that right now for you guys. I don't think we do let me let me. Just check your yeah. I'm not saying anything for the Ratings breakdown just yet let me. Just let me check one more thing. So tuesday was the twenty fifth. So hang on a second. Tuesday was a twenty fifth for me. Just see here year year. Nothing yet nothing yet. Hang on well wait a minute. Wait a minute women a i actually have something. Give me a second here. Guys neru new. Let me see here. let's see. Yeah nothing yet. Nothing yet nothing yet. It's so sad too because as far as Ratings go. I tell you one site that used to be pretty reputable not even worth mentioning the name anymore I guess they decided that it was going to be too expensive to stay on top of updating the site and making sure plug ins all that was working good and everything because that site has pretty much been abandoned and now it's kinda one of those types of deals where it's like have you're trying to get some numbers yet. "Boundaries. What feels comfortable. I really enjoyed our conversations with emily. Maw sheen's with the folks from the state patrol with earth feather. I mean it was really educational for me and it really helped me learn concrete steps that i can take myself to move this issue forward. So we're going to be releasing these full interviews so that maybe you can listen as well and and and learn more about the situation and what you can do. Yeah i was so incredibly grateful. You know it's it's really difficult hearing because it's a different history than maybe we're aware of. Yeah and so it's a it's a learning curve but also one of the things that i love about being a reporter and talking to people is really getting their perspective and really listening. You know walking in their shoes. There's no better way to try to understand a person's journey than just listening to them. And so i was incredibly grateful. A lot of it was just listening to their stories with an open. Mind an open heart because going into this. You know like. I said earlier like didn't understand like what is it. Is it a serial killer. Is it a predators. Is it like why are there. So many women and girls and also there's there's men who boys that are missing. "Really wants to get into a girl like that not at that time. Not at the time and radio stations were still in so we need somebody just softer. These stations and races didn't want to be playing six great records and they play a record that people don't like people turn station. They try and station nine times. They don't go back. It's just a simple simple recipe right right instead of trying to add to it. Just do it right. And and you'll see doors open for you and you be receptive and give your radio what they want to give radio exactly. And that's the problem that i had what work with a lot of rappers mentally fuck the radio and in my mind. Maybe a fucking dj here. This club can't hear this on the radio. If i can't hear about castor seed in a video. I'm not doing this song. I'm not playing the song you know what i'm saying. You gotta give the label and the radio something to work with. You got to lose that mentality. That i'm dope. Rapper and i just wanna drop lyrics. And i'm sorry it just doesn't work like that. You gotta give it what you want. So teardrop drops diverse yes. Okay and That was the first time. And i shared with you before we went live at one of our first shows in one thousand nine hundred ninety with with high see i went to arizona. Actually it was one thousand nine hundred thirty nine hundred. Ninety one we went to arizona our show we did a show with king t and then the next day. We did johnny lasagna. Carshow you know. I still i still remember. I'm not sure if it was mesa or tempe arizona but we performed with lighter shade dion recipe still has the video of that show and that was the first time i ever saw a female latina rap and i was in. The crowd went insane. They loved it that that when i saw. We're onto something here as people as a culture were onto something here and what happened Her workfront show was rapper as well. He brought her into the game. The sign that team is getting that she was gonna get he felt was was for him. You know he put in the work with the group is over so he should be. You know next to come up and I even told him you know both of them weeks. It's not a solid rap to it. You know team yet Or just just waste your time you know is better to go to radio saying he woke. This sunday's this zone. Now here's his prior and he just. He was upset with that and she doing upset him. You know so she just backed out of it and just knowing what we try do to get back on white shoes. He's gonna oversight him. Yeah and i've met coupled like that in the nineties. When i was heavily into production that there will be a girl that was sending her demel and she was her. Next demo was her boyfriend's k. steve yahel what. Sit me down and goes to play cassette. And i heard this girl and i said i think she's pretty ten dope and he goes yeah. He'll say that cassette an artist rep. I thought he was adult rafter. But heating have that. It factor like she did right so he goes. Here's the problem. He controls her and he said that if interested. He's gotta come with the two and he said i told them i'm not feeling you. I don't know who. I could sell you too but i can sell her. What the deal didn't happen because he wanted to. Cyprus ultimately i guess he filled intimidated that she was an outshine him and it didn't work out. Look if i was in that situation and that was my girl. Baby goal you go. This is your dream to. I wanna be a man to be able to say you know what fulfill dream you know. I'm gonna be right there behind you. Whatever you know and i think sometimes and i'm not saying this is the case with that could be. I don't know. But i think sometimes that's what happens in relationship. That's why some of these females disappear. Because since i've started rodeo radio here everyone has requested teardrop even just one verse. They requested their request. Jv managed to get hold jp. She says she didn't want she. Don't want it into with music interviews. No nothing and i'm jay for years. I've known you for a long time. But that's what she said she wants nothing to do with it. So you lounges. They're experienced was not as smooth as they would think. It should be years not what they thought it was with with an how. Nc likes must have the best. You know Things going through. It's hard there for you know for for female And those who who said you know. Fuck i'm going do it in do it. I have to commend them. You know i'd have have girl. I went to have a group that like the Show me the coveralls yesler. When a group like that. I knew i could promote one. I just couldn't finally maybe wonder seeing two girlfriends. Couldn't you give them then boyfriends were there because the studio it was be here. Who's the guy. I heard just just not understanding what the you know what the process was right. A me and mellow went back to zone. Want to ninety six ninety seven okay and we did a lot of shows. That's what i was producing metal dublin. That never came out and that was the second time in arizona. The first time with teardrop were i saw. They had like a freestyle. Any female that wanted to come up and bust right man. Three female went off the rafter. Fucking asses off. I try to make my way like. Hey how you doing at produce record. I'm doing this. I'm doing dad right away. Her boyfriend not talk to me. When i get that honestly. I'm good i'm good. It's not what my tom. I try to work in with one female and her man was behind me the whole time and i just literally had to tell him. A man can just relax like relaxed but they want it to be in control of everything. And i think top release ruined a lot of people's careers chance so with that being said okay so a lot of shit or brown. What year was that. That record kim i was in one thousand. Nine hundred active. Active was actually. It was nineteen ninety. I keep thinking that even though the the album was released in nineteen ninety. Tuesday nights actually had eight trademark data on it. And we work record. You know As long as could the original version had the proper sampling. couldn't get it cleared. Well sample was well. Tj when did he science by the eagles. all k- in One of the guys in the other guy didn't and they didn't both agree on it. No samples would be you know it would be cleared. You know what we're going to. We're going to go ahead and press paul's there wouldn't take a break when we talk a little bit of a sample clearance those a lot of samples that you got clear for a lot of people and a lot of people don't understand simple clearly back then you had to pay you had to pay. We ought to pay for a on your puppet we had seen in the park. You know So but we'll get we'll get into it and we'll finish wrapping up the whole lot and then we'll get into more chicken run okay so okay. Everybody saw once again. We're just giving you a little history lesson with clippers. You wanna one so. Make sure you've got to name call somebody take somebody slept sharar. Somebody let them know that approaching is in the multiple can building. We'll be back in ten minutes and we'll come back everybody to radio episode one forty five. And we got some clarification on something. That i've been wanting to know for the longest time in who else to ask somebody who was there since day one so without further ado please allow me to introduce again and clip richie so we just clarify for the people that are already told an that. Actually teardrop was before. Jv years okay. Okay take a lot of people. They recognize teardrop. But i guess in chronological order has to start with teardrop and then and then shaving then j. b. now before trump. Have you ever heard of.

Wisconsin had the talent and all the access to practice but they had something else that texas lack and that was the burden of expectations and the three other members of the team. All insisted that they had something else that gave them an advantage. In that game they had may mar demel she. She was lights out. That was that leadership that really took us to those heights and she had a really good way of keeping us focused Because we could tend to be unfocused. Because like i said we were just. We were just thrilled to be able to get to each one of these competitions but she knew when we when she needed to get us focused and and what it meant and like i said she was a supreme shotmaker police out numerous times Last rock draw for three to win the the semifinal game downside nothing and we came back neymars very positive and hard. She's a hard worker. She's smart she's she's just my my good friend gonna use the term which is kind of trite and probably overused. But i honestly was in the zone that week. Not nothing nothing could have bothered me in. I mean they have dropped a bomb beside me. And i wouldn't have no you. It just was was just one of those things where you look down the ice. You know what was coming at you. You look down the ice. You knew what you had to throw. happened wisconsin. Skip of the wisconsin rank. Actually she went on the following year to skip the us championship team so they were expected to come in and win. You know. I think back in my image of them was coming in with their game faces on they. They came to win We didn't see too much of them during the week They did come out of the round robin in first place so so are championship game. We started out behind as we always did and We were relaxed and we slowly were catching up. We were coming home without the hammer and Neymar as she did so often made her last shot forcing the wisconsin skip to make her last shot. I make the shot. And i do remember the shot. I absolutely do you called me. I thought i can see that shot today. Picture the centerline and it's coming home. Let coming towards me. Patients the line on the left hand side when a couple of arch okay and there was something on the right hand side Which really wasn't much importance and she had to on the forefoot one. Actually i think was biting the button and they were sort of sitting at a way that i said to duty if i come down and if i hit this book on the left hand side of the rock if i hit at their i can make both go away and i did i had. It wasn't a big wasn't a tough to get through or anything. But i got through and i hit it and dinner ruled a little bit behind cover. So now i'm sitting in.

Here absolutely and by the way the second at them with a great confidence And i another freshman league rate the because there so definitely Let's talk about him. Up is it's an interesting permits. it's been around for a couple of years but Really for the in twenty twenty. It became you know Industry coalesced left around wants. It wants to Mean by thing and it's basically really now addressing all of this organizations in tooling needed in order to ultimately Develop and deliver and maintain She no-name beginning solutions And so why do we need demel ups and wiser but some level. I think that's the basic question and believing. Look back and talk about the differences. Between whether i cell phones and let the semi foster is basically You know leveraging algorithms training then using data to model to might and those can be used to predict what is seen in the manage. Or what is you know what it feels. Forecasting gonna look like or who's most likely to into something or what's the weather going to be like You can put pretty much anything if you have the data to try to model. But the point is that Unlike regular foster you're actually using using data to create the author in the first place and wherever you created by Su a office. That's very much a research for problem. Era where the people who were called beautiful scientists. Try to figure out what is the best way to leverage the data and the algorithm to do a model and so it's not an engineering pulses with the research process that he's in data that was kind of like material. I'm sorry just one big business. The other thing is that what emanates from that is settled. Things one. you're really dealing with a combination of Data the models And the code direct wraps everything around doing a free moving pieces. I'm not gonna suffer that actually build for the only coach you. Everything is Because you need to train with models like even though you're doing that already doing The stage And because training data requires super expensive and fung machines are generally. We'll be in good used and awesome data. You're dealing with remote execution on clusters from really early on whereas seeing software development addressing cluster and scheduling doesn't happen until deployment here. It already happened in research on the side because a i is based on data that tries to model the world because pasta process. What happens is.

The demel will tell him be this that funk incline that used to be a hollywood records rest in peace he gave me the spurs cypress hill demel and i love bees of course and sends voice right off the bat. I was trying to get bunk inclined to try to talk to be because we were trying to get worse on high seas record. Now i remember what funk said that be real told him he's a right now we're not doing any features like during that time and it was very very true is almost like they were reserving themselves. You know and i thought that was a great scheme or business. Move because today you know there's so many rappers everybody's tracks it's almost like they don't reserve themselves to just be themselves you you know like born example Today you have so many features on one album that it's almost like a compilation. You know agree and and today back then cypress hill cypress hill. We'll tangled full tang for you. Know i mean you you wanna make your own voice you know and i think that you know if you you have an album and his great to get you know features on it but you kinda like trying to capitalize off their thing. That's what you have him on. The album does feature a lot of times. Sometimes as you real true homeys but when you get like you have twenty two songs and twenty of them or would features and two roma solo. You know you try to get their their their their extra. You know Thing but i come from the school like you know little to no features you know. It was fine because you had a group. It was a group. You didn't need anyone other send all you know you had mugs and and that was it. I mean there wasn't a feature on the hill record until the third album. And that was with the rizza. And you gun and if you're going to have a first feature y now with them but you know it was important thing to jedi keep your own sound. Yes you know. It's not about jumping on anybody else's you know dane. You know you know whoever does that. It's cool but will you know when i finished school right now. You know switching gears here a little bit. "The cost. Well that kind of can for editing a demo reel right first of all you have to accumulate all of this material than if you're not that skilled at editing and putting it together yourself that means you might need to hire. Somebody is all kinds of other considerations to make it very clean very professional looking. Do you have the time. And do you have the financial resources to put it together. If you don't if you really honestly don't have the financial resources then wait hold off. You really. aren't doing yourselves any favors by rushing to get something out there rather than getting something that you're going to be really really happy with over a longer period of time especially if you've cast yourself well so once you've figured out who is it going to. How are you going to use this demel real so. It can be an excellent video audition submission but you know what getting a show. Reel as a submission for a project. I'm working on is less impressive to me. Ben an audition submission that is specific to the project that i'm working on. That means a scene. Or that means you've gotten the script and you've chosen some material for yourself and decided to do a self submit video and you've taken the time and you've done a really excellent job at doing self submitted video that sometimes. Well it's almost all the time more impressive than just simply sending a show. Reel in other words the bottom line. Sometimes it is better to wait until you have enough material. Rather than create something that looks overly manufactured so here are some final thoughts. It is an important tool for the industry. A demo reel a show. Reel your video submissions. They are all really important tools to really think about done right. It can open doors and accelerate your career. But you know what poorly done it can really leave a bad impression of where you are in your career and it can also set you back financially so my suggestion take the time to think through the purpose of your video and whether you will move ahead or end up spinning your wheels because doesn't achieve what you want it to do. Trump Administration Flips Switch On Energy Efficient Light Bulbs
"Support for NPR and the following message come from Dulles International Airport with the highest on time takeoff percentage of any airport on the east coast. I a d means I'm already departing more at fly, Dallas dot com slash fast. The energy department wants to undo an Obama era rule designed to make light bulbs more efficient. We're not talking about those pear-shaped bulbs. They've already changed over this new proposal involves just about every other kind of light bulb hairs NPR's Jeff Brady to explain in the past decade, the push for light bulbs that use less energy has made a lot of progress and that can make the light bulb. I'll at a big box store a little confusing. I'm looking for Bob to go inside of my refrigerator. John panic is holding burned out forty watt. Incandescent bulb in one hand and a package of LED bulbs in the other he likes that the LED's us one fifth the energy, but on the package, it says there Demel where I'm not going to be at refit your grade. So he ops for the old incandescent though. It turns out the dim -able LED would've worked just fine. This learning curve is part of a big change underway in the lighting business. No a Horowitz with the natural Resources Defense. Council says the country has been using incandescent bulbs for more than a century today. We have LED's, and they do everything the old incandescent could do except waste energy. You see the pear-shaped LED's everywhere. Now, add issue here is a wide range of other bulbs. Decorative Globes used in bathrooms reflectors recessed lighting candles shaped plates and three way bulbs at the very end of the Obama administration. The department of energy decided these also would have to become more efficient the lighting industry sued the Trump administration sided with the industry and now wants to reverse the regulation Horowitz says that will translate to higher energy bills and more pollution. Now, we're going to have to generate about twenty five large coal burning. Power plants worth of extra electricity of this rollback goes through this is really unnecessary in a really bad idea. And on top of that it's illegal that last point is a question. A judge likely will decide the national electrical Manufacturers Association argues, the Obama administration exceeded its authority by including all these specialty bulbs general counsel Clark. So says it's wrong to call the Trump administration's proposed reversal a roll back the department of energy cannot illegally roll back from a place that it could not legally stand upon in the first place that is important to the industry because rolling back energy efficiency requirements is not allowed under federal law and Silcock rejects claims the industry just wants to continue selling existing styles of bulbs by don't think anybody's focused on we want to sell energy hogging lightbulbs at all what they are focused on is what does their consumer want? And making sure that there is a high level of consumer satisfaction. The industry learned a hard lesson after the first generation of those curly. Compact fluorescent light bulbs were released consumers, basically did not like them. They didn't buy them. They complained about them. We heard that loud and clear Jennifer Dolan is with the company led Vance which manufacturers Sylvania lightbulbs she says the industry wants to make sure it gets the LED versions of all these other kinds of bulbs perfected before releasing them onto the market. She says more efficient bulbs or coming just not as fast as most advocates want future of lighting is Elliott. There's no doubt about that. And we see that in the marketplace, we see that consumers are shifting to LED's and much more rapid rate than we ever anticipated. But given climate change environmental groups argue this regulation is needed. Now when the Trump administration finalizes its reversal those groups plan to take the issue. You to court Jeff Brady NPR news.
