"Now just because you had that little bit of evidence you know what i'm saying so that does or that always comes in handy but you're saying that the fact that i looked through my husband at the times phone because i was suspicious. That's just me collecting evidence right. Well you were. Yeah i guess. In a way i mean and then i caught him so that means i did the right thing. Here's an interesting thing that you have a suspicion or just do that. Because now i had you go. You're looking for something because there's some people that everything's going fine and great and then all of a sudden they start digging through there now. I had a suspicion. I kind of felt like I'm tired of deciphering and things not adding up. I need for something to add up. So i need to. I need to look through evidence. You i feel like if you think that somebody robbed from you wouldn't you. You can't hire a detective While you can't hire the police to find out if your husband's cheating on you so you gotta get your own. Evidence could hire a private investigator. Yeah we all have that money you ever think of me. No mark both you any of you. Think of being hiring a private investigator starting a company would come to. We could do it together. Center out there Yeah i've thought about it. I thought about it but no obviously is. It's something that you know. It passes through my mind every once in a while. But just you know when i investigated the business itself and how you get work it seems. It seems a lot of gaps in between like almost like a comedian. Like when you get worked when you don't and when he do get work you gotta take advantage of it. So what comes first now. Now it's not like a steady thing most people. Do you ever have to catch yourself from detecting for on the side like it's supposed to be my girlfriend last night but she said she couldn't make it out after all and then you start going on the computer and you wait stop. There's none of my business. I'm not really. they're inquisitive. Okay you know most of the time if we're in a relationship i'm just so happy that you still having sex with me. I'm not gonna ask them any questions. You know what i'm saying. I really you're willing to do this with me again. After what happened last time she must really love me. Don't rock the boat right Speaking by the way of these obituaries got a little pushback. And the because. I was making fun of my dad for the following sense. He was delighted to be the father of five successful children on earth which he was not the light. Okay believe now he wants to murder you and one with whom he is now united with in heaven. This was a miscarriage that my mom had between me and my sister. You know that's when there was going to be born Came out like group in the toilet now z. That was the end of it. And i'm like don't rate that. I didn't say this is a fuck knows if we're going to print this or what somebody said put it in the paper and then demand the paper do a retraction the next thing but This is just confusing. If if we don't we don't have we're not in touch with extended family and they never made any friends but if there was any friends they'd be like whoa wait a kid that died no less care. And you're in fucking weird about it. I think people if if he will misunderstood that they misunderstood. Like we. Don't count miscarriages blah blah blah. It's not saying to me in heaven and there's a six one in heaven now. Well that means that means they were all people. That's what that means. It's that but it's also like you know. I don't think that you would be this insensitive. If your mother brought up the miscarriage that she had been go. Who cares mom. Yeah exactly it's a. He is using this to seem more sincere and more caring. And we're not pointing out what you are gonna count as a a sad moment and a a loss in your life what we're gonna count as you never bring this up. Never talked about it. You never counted it as a life. You're just trying to say that you had this trauma and use it for a little bit of I don't know just. I'm such a such a gentle guy a guy who cares what you're supposed to love him more. Yeah yeah Story a girl rate's gonna push back slightly and give father malley credit for one thing First of all right here. If you haven't been listening to keith. And the girl or something. What what you got through the daddy email saga and you're like month. There is one point what i'm going to give me credit for one thing the six child i'm pregnant and if i lost them inside me lose my shit and would not be okay for long long time. I look forward to the idea of being reunited with him in the afterlife Let's see. I personally would be devastated so i would look forward to a miscarriage pregnancy ending before twenty weeks and it's still birth is after twenty weeks. Babies have lived that have been delivered at twenty two weeks and twenty four considered a viable. So i'm going to say a very slight. Fuck you to keep them to come to for what appeared to me to be belittling the tragedy and loss that has miscarriage and stillbirth and some seven love to anyone who's experienced that first of all. How do i so quickly like. Oh you guys are so nice you think about you know the that the ten then i turned into the devil your mom. How am i just a monster. How a person who's like bad miscarriage like did you carry it. No you miss What the outweigh turn into clown. Just right out. The there's no you've been listening forever but okay sure right. You're talking about your dad. Obviously i don't know the whole history but my dad was a little Rear no way to in a lotta ways. But i remember him telling my kids And i couldn't leave him alone with my kids because he would always say like crazy things so one day. Hear him saying you know you're next would add a brother except his mother had an abortion. And i'm like died. What the hell you say like now. I got a separate my my kids from my father. He just used to come out with stuff you know. Got a lot of people complain that the dads would never around. But here's sue guys with that. Were around they were writing and that was good for us at all. no no. I thought latchkey kidman yet. Some kind of disease. I didn't know was a blessing i come home. I make my own food i watch. Tv i want. I can run the dishwasher not worrying about saving money. That would have been the life. I you know i it. Would it'd be decades later. A story a girl that And you would rate and that this This made up a miscarriage had happened and decades. Later you would rate in the paper that how many kids you have and you'd go like one. They're in heaven. Now you would rate are no bits and maybe not maybe. Perhaps maybe you wouldn't. Is that frustrating mark as a detective. Everybody playing devil's advocate. She will not do that by the way. This is my sibling. This is how i grave all your stories. Or if i was and if this happened this happened to me can i feel or do. I have to talk to better help to be able to feel shame. Katie right was It was my brother sister other that passed away. Okay it is your experience reacting fact. I need the weekends off. Come the process. Okay you're going back to the family's place the old yet my yeah. My dad moved out ever since my mom was in You know soon after. My mom was in assisted living alzheimer's and he got a. He moved into an apartment closer to her. And so we're going to go through the house and see if there's anything Fun from childhood. Yeah so these. Roll some weed for keith. When when he needs. Excuse me mark. I know that you're next cup but you.

"Them grad me. Okay here we go wondering if it's for his social media look at any pictures a today but he seemed like a decent guy when hey i was. I was i mentioned recently. Hey i've been recently. How is that the atlantic city this that they have a cop station in there but five feet away is the bathroom and everybody smoke and shoot knob sitting on the sink holding cord all the shampoo. Soap dispensers are torn apart. What's the how do you get that job. And i know nobody hired. The me is going to check on this place. I mean that is a fucking shit hole for and it's it's a pretty major hub. That is that is a dangerous fucking bathroom and obviously the cops note how many homicides were in that bathroom last year. A sixty two. Now i bet you bet you none and that just goes to show you on. The outward appearance doesn't look like they're doing their job but they're saving lives all right. Well thank you. I mean this should on the cities. I just wanted to mention since we were talking about danny a his passed away ricky out there. I wanted to just wish you know. Have this opportunity to just tell his family that You know what a what a great guy had the opportunity to work with him a couple times and danny junior drive a few years before that as well i think both from pancreatic cancer and they were both really good. Good great great guys. True gentlemen one was the fight coordinator on the show. Danny junior and the other one. I acted with ricky on that particular. Show that danny hired me and it was it was it was great. And you know what's great about danny. There was like fast forward fifteen years later. I'm leaving an audition. And i walk right out the door and i see there's a car double-parked and danny sitting in there and i'm like Should i say he's probably never gonna remember me. I probably be a nuisance. Rose okay but you know. Just just say so. I went over to an. I knocked on the window. He looks at me. Rose a mark. What's up how are you have you been. And i'm like oh my god. Not only. did he remember refresh his memory. It's fifteen years later. He still remember me. I'm like wow that's a. That's a good man right there. That's pretty good. I was picturing something you knocked on the window. And then you don't understand your police like presence knock on the window you go. Hey member means of course the greatest cop. I ever out several times. Yeah he used to ask me parades whenever he went to like a parade and Some couple come up to me. He goes eight. Danielle was just looking for you. Are you able to cry now at the personal things like a friend passes away this kind of thing or does the stuff so personal. It's not affecting you that way. Yeah yeah that's weird like i like. I mentioned that. I am a mush when it comes to watch stuff on tv. And i don't know if i really You know that kind of stuff. I try to stay strong. And it's funny because i isn't sunk to cry but it happens or a dozen you know Yeah when it's more personal don't but then something on tv happens. That's pretty innocuous. And i'm crying and i know it must be related something else you know. I got to see the next show. I can't really process. I went to the wake my friend. Nikki buddha's ainhoa. Nikki was great guy. And i was just thinking of all the times but then i think of all the time and then i started laughing at the wake and then the guy talking the priest he says you know even though you may not think it you probably done something wrong to somebody and when you see them again you know. Make sure you apologize. And i'm looking at anybody so i just he goes even if you don't know them so i just looked at this lady standing next to me. I was like listen. We know met before. But i just wanna sam sorry. And she didn't know what i was talking about like when she finally got it so she laughed and i laughed and i'm looking around like people think wise guy laughing right now but that's what i do on the really stressful situations and try to go to my joke. Joke my humor. Yeah it's pretty common to laugh in places where you're supposed to cry when my when my dad wrote my ex and then my ex sent me the email. My dad go wiser dad contacting me. We broke up and i go. Hey can catfish him. I'm gonna pretend. I'm you and she's like i don't give a fuck and so i started doing that in it got sexual and i just kept going for a year instead of just crying and cutting so yes i think i can relate. Yeah then these obituaries. That i read the other day. My dad wrote a bit stories for himself. And for my mom. Who has alzheimer's. And i i almost. I was raised so weird. That i almost didn't know it was crazy. Somebody had to tell me how crazy it is to write your own obituary. Then i'm like oh he had his fucking weird. It is weird that he put quotes in from his kids. The molly we don't get along at all quotas. He's dad that says it all and he's like at least they'll say that part right. I can say that fucking nuts. This was recently. Sign up to better help. Maybe you can figure out the difference between laughing and crying jack. This is what we're working on. Twenty twenty one mental health finally think and so many people are struggling right now and aren't feeling like their normal selves and therapy helps and is a big fan. I'm getting into it. During the millions of people who are seeing therapy is really about..

People think that key see there looks like a cop or someone that would just generally. Maybe do bad things he's got. This likes to sort of like very stoic. Face thank you. You ran into keith on the street would you be like. Let me watch this guy. I think he's a shady lawyer like I'm sticking carlito's. Way was sean penn's guys. What was his name. It doesn't seinfeld what's his name. Remember how he said his name. I remember the character. He wasn't the good one. I don't think he's lawyer now. He was a bad he was a bad remember. he was used to. he hired him to forget it. It was good though canada's way it's one of the greatest. I've watched it several times to. Yeah yeah i love the way. "You married. I was marri- okay. Are you dating engaged. Oh congrats do women ever have to tell you you're because you see the sickest shit so you'll be. I assume less emotional than most people do. Does anybody ever have to tell you that. I'm pretty mush. A big mush account. You've ever watching the show. All probably cry. Depending i mean i you know you name it but As far as seeing stuff. Luckily i don't see that much stuff bad stuff nowadays but i think i probably have a stronger obviously Like if we saw a dead body together. I wouldn't lose my shit right. You know. I've just be like yeah. They're pretty you do have to look. Maybe i don't know whether it's new york like for example. I was walking weird. That i don't think that keeps would lose this shit either and maybe that's disturbing. Let's slip okay. It's an interesting how quick you You forget like the. I d aware had to sit on. I was obviously nervous and it was a guy an old man. He died in his recliner. I like to think watching the mets. And when i got there his family was in there and my job was to sit there with him until the medical examiner showed up or his family like to bring his body down to the funeral home. Whatever they're gonna do it. Is it smell right away. Not already snuggling. No take several hours takes awhile but a day. It's like what fruit when it gets ripe but we ripe quick right yes so now thereby in this house. I'd never been in with this dead guy on the couch and like i sat in the living room for minute and then i saw the tv. And i'm my guy. Let me just watch. Tv and i sat on the couch watching tv for while while this guy was dead in the reclining next to me and then i was like. I wonder what he's got in the fridge so then i got up and find some chocolate cakes of milk. I sat there watching the mets eating chocolate cake. Milk with steroid guy next to me. You're not afraid that somebody walks in and sees this scene that you might get in trouble. I wasn't gonna get in trouble. It wasn't like this was a crime scene guy that natural causes suspicious death at all and it just so happened that his family lived like two three hours drive away and i was going to have to sit there and wait whereabout. It'd be like a half hour in like between the responding officers coming there meek. Come in to sit there and they them leaving and then you add five minutes of me sitting there nervously. Because i got five minutes guys dead the the math i used to do when i would sneak at my house like all. My parents are out there usually out at least until two. Am on saturdays. I have until one thirty. Let me not push it. Twelve thirty is probably better. And one time i pushed it. I was like good to am. I couldn't get home fast enough from like brooklyn or something and they just caught me and that was bad. Yeah you can't get too close. How old were you I wanna say seventeen. Yeah did Did being a cop affect the marital. I see tv. It always does. They didn't like it. Yeah i was in somebody to bring it home with me. Everybody's gotta go to work. Some people work a few more hours than other. I didn't let the job consume me in that way. It wasn't my my whole existence. Okay so now. It didn't have anything to do with the marriage. And when it have to deal with. I guess if you if you if you owe the divorce yes just i'd like to think a lot of it was money You know we got a little over our heads in the house but reality is i probably could have been a better husband you know better blank should have been how because i I was young. I was in like Just you know young. Young man. Young people they have thinking clearly. They're thinking with their with their loins. Well you get a lot of you get some cop sex on the side. The blue magnet. That's what they call. That'll do so. It was being a cop told you. How old are your kids now. My son's twenty four my daughter's twenty one. Okay is that a is that a strange. It's there's there's something all the time sixteen eighteen. There's some it's twenty one like nervous as well. There's a gap between like the words. They use like my son. He went through a bad breakup last girlfriend. So now you know just to make sure he's okay. I'll ask them every once in awhile. How's it going. You have a girlfriend and then he says to me. I'm talking to a couple of girls right now. So my head. I was like all right but you know. Make sure you try fucking them to talk. I ever god sakes. But then i realized that somebody told me that you know talking to them. In their young language in their world wars something could be happening more with anywhere he weird to be out even more because now that we're talking about this kind of stuff he calls me up and he's like Yeah let me ask you a question. I remember. I told you. I was talking to some girls. I said. yeah he goes. Well one of the girls. i'm talking to it. turns out she's also talking to my friend Now a lot of talking going on And then i was like yeah. I don't really know what you're talking about right. We'll let me tell me an englishman. Obviously somebody say hi tool you gotta do more. Do you feel yourself Being able to give advice on that topic in that specific scenario.

"Woke up in Us i used to wake up to howard stern on the reason. I didn't have to be an until noon. My shift like from eleven thirty to eight. Okay that was my my shift that i was doing the warrants squad and then it was like nine thirty howard's talking about Planes hitting up plane hitting the One of the towers right at by the way by the way did they happen to be talking about pamela anderson's tits and then they're like all don breaking back i forget i just i just remember turning on the tv and then i'm seeing it on the tv and then I called my wife in it at the time and I had to go in got ready. Went to work. And then you working twelve hour shifts right. I think you were talking. You were talking about this in the nine. Eleven movie Too soon that's coming out in you guys were rotating twelve hours on twelve hours off new had the overnight one i think i had the Come in at six o'clock in night work to six in the morning. Something horrible like that. I remember that. I remember guys get help afterwards. I mean that's a lot of trauma. I know that As cops you're sort of supposedly ready. But i don't know that anybody was ready for this. Do get counselling after. Can you through something a via the police station. I mean after it was all said and done in utah. We had to do just to get the drug. Bill passed with What John stewart had to do with the federal government didn't want to give money for nine nine eleven responders and people were down there. They didn't wanna create that program. At all jon stewart went up there and you know halfway through his speech they would just like. Just give it to his. It's just embarrassed him. Just marriage the country so after that then the their help was available. You get counseling. i didn't go for see. Well what happens is once you Declared yourself as a first responder in nine eleven. You had to show your memo books in. I'm just actually proved that you're working the at that time. And then once you got on that list Then you can take like an. It's an annual physical and mental. So you go through five stations. Basically you sit down with a psychologist or and then you go to check your. How long is that sounds quite today. It's a daily basically a half a day. You go there you get all you see five different doctors annually and then you sit down with somebody and then they prescribe different medications for whatever you need to get. Your doctor visits for whatever you need. Those doctors send you to other doctors. Did it help. Yeah i mean. I i got to the i got some medicine for my gerd. I suffer from you know Acid reflux badly and also from sleep apnea who've both things that that's related to nine eleven. That's related to the smoke. Yeah yeah were you. You physically moving like cedar blocks and thinks no the the first night we set up a triage in hoboken for the people that were going to be Injured okay and then nobody showed up because everybody was debt so we broke that down and then we went to the medical examiner office where we formed. What school the chain of evidence and as they removed. Bodybags off of this To meat wagon and he basically bring into a station. One doctor opens up the body bag which are like they're like seven feet long by the way each body back and then so sometimes it just recovering a bone from downtown from the site. So you'll use seven foot bodybags just to put in a bone this big at the so they take the bone out. Somebody examines it. They see if it's human or an animal. It's human they give it a number you pass it along somebody to try to extract dna from it they put in a separate you move it along so three or four stations and he get back in line and get another one and we did that night for the rest of the time. We set up family centers where we We took missing persons report and we collected. Dna from loved. Ones like they would go through your bringing around the where and for you we could probably get a your dirty underwear the get a lot at the that i. I think he's looking at uky again. And you're you're a comedian. Do you have nine. Eleven jokes No no. I have a story that i'll tell friends and stuff like that but It's it's Not not i don't think so. I told the story in my one man show and his co. sort of like the ark of the whole show the first ten years you know me partying with my friends and and having a great time being a cop and then all of a sudden we hit this wall like at full speed and there was nine eleven. And i told the story about how i couldn't cry and then ahead of voucher nine. Different firemen's personal stuff that Firefighter collected from their lockers. And he brought him to me and they had a meeting at the marriott. Giuliani and vanessa. Who is the Baez and who is the f. The y. chief. They met with all the firefighters and there well the missing firefighters families and explain to them. What the city's doing on their behalf and they're right next door at the marriott. We were sitting next next door in a desks. We set up a place for the detectives to be there. And then if you had a loved one missing and he didn't report him yet you can come in and we would make missing report out. Take all the information and and get dna that you brought. And then this firemen came in. He goes He just drops this Pillowcase on my on my workstation. And i opened it up. And i'm looking and there's all these freezer bags with like stickers on it with the the firefighter missing firefighters pedigree information Their ranked firehouse wherever they work Engine company this hose company that data birth and then inside if it whatever they could get from their locker hairbrush toothbrush underway whatever and then there was a lot of them he goes. There's there's nine of my brothers brothers in there. And i was like all right because anything else and then i was like no i got. I'll take it from here. And that's when i broke down so that was kind of the arc of my show where that's when it hit me. It was like and this was several days later because they didn't cry that whole time. And i couldn't understand why everybody around me was crying and i couldn't understand why i'm not crying and what it is learned just kept going about my business. Did you learn what no. I just know it happens. It happens different times for people. You know what i'm saying do you do.

"Do you think of those guys. I mean dinkins does not really. I wouldn't imagine a police officer working on the dinkins had anything positive to say but in hindsight just overall he was a visionary because you know the us open that he The tennis stadium the author stadium. He was building kind of it. Got ridiculed by a lot of people While they were making it but the reality is nothing brings in from what somebody told me more than the super bowl the world series in the nba finals combined in two weeks. How much money it brings to new york. Did my dad tell you this. No but i do some formula there but just the fact is it does bring a lot of money. And at the time i remember. It was getting who who'd by people who weren't fans and dinkins but that is his legacy guiliani. We all know what his his legacy is. You know right did he. Whatever as guys to like what. What are your thoughts that he simply is. He just a sell out. Julian fucking sell out. Now he's It's it's looking like you know he's trump. Didn't pay him. He's going to have to pay for all these court cases against them now. Did he just sell out. Get on the trump train and he was a decent guy or was. I just confused by tv at the time. Well i mean it because of nine eleven history kinda sorta like reinvented itself on that day and in a positive way for giuliani because up until that point he you know we got Zeros from him like so what dinkins wasn't a fan of police but we've got to raise onto him and then giuliani was supposed to be this huge fan police and we didn't get a raise. We got three zeros. So that means you got no raise for the last two years that you worked and you're not getting one for this year and then we'll start negotiations again next year. Something like that might not be one hundred percent actor but he was then nine eleven happened. And then there's the famous photo of him walking down ground zero right in the middle right after grounds We got bombed so in the twentieth. Anniversary is coming up so that picture lives an infant. You know what. I'm saying like the vision that we see him and then i mean. Obviously you know. We know what's happened now. He's always in the movies. Almost getting blowjobs. Did you see that. Did you see that when she she had him on the bed. She always had a man. Oh yeah the does yeah. She almost had him. He looks very old. Like i feel bad from. His hand was like this thanking executive like he. He almost couldn't believe it was he. He knew something in him still had that one threat of like. Wait a minute. My head is the size of a horse's head. There's no reason why they should be happening to me right now. I'm way past my prime. And then he. He actually stopped himself because he had a one tiny threat of thought. No something's not something. This isn't right. I think you stopped and she. She had to go to sasha baron cohen. sorry. I couldn't blow him and he's like i understand it. Stop pretty early. It's stopped even before it started in a way like it's not enough. I i am not enough evidence for anything really but it. It showed how opportunistic he is. And how like you said with. This shouldn't be happening to you. Is like a twenty year old girl you hope and doing an interview with nobody else there in your history of interviewing. Has there ever been some intern looking confused. "Man it was like It was made out of steel like You could slide on it once again very slippery and we used to toss these kids from the third floor all the way down to the basement with alone in the lawns. You've been there. Were little kids so like second third grade is but they loved it. It was like a ride for them. They just bounce around in this thing all the way down and the non comes in and i had this kid my head. I'm ready to drop. This kid wanted to go down. Had i was ready to drop them like this. Then she goes. What the hell you doing down. So i got busted and the funny thing is used to bring your uniform down and hold on a second. Sorry so it sounds like you're in military school and you're a cop. No no i was. This is a. I went to military school up until eighth grade. Okay okay so this this happened in. When i was like in eighth grade. I was going to graduate as a sergeant. Okay sergeants in eighth grade. Can you had a steph staff. Sergeants technical sergeants masted we had a mess to sergeant that was in charge of the whole battalion. Wow vassileva time. Yeah we were little kids. This is very different than my button. Mitzvah right yeah marks a little upset because he never got to shoot anybody after all those years right. I wouldn't say upset. That's not the word i ashamed. It's it's annoying in a way because people ask you all the time. Did you ever shoot anybody. And then when you say no they like kinda like you could just see upset them like. I'm sorry. i'm sorry that i didn't shoot anybody. Fudges isn't that what we're aiming or is they always like to hear a good like if you have a good story how you shot somebody or i guess i would imagine they wanna hear you get shot to both if you both got shot. That's even better but if you did get in a shootout people like fascinated by it. They're like oh really what happened. Tell me about it. you know what i'm saying. And then like they'll always ask you off to the side just between us. Yeah i gotta ask you did you ever. Did you ever shoot anybody have you. Have you had dreams where you shot somebody and then you wake up upset because it didn't happen. No no. i used to have a lot of dreams that somebody pass me the joint and took a hit. And then i was like oh my god and i really thought that i smoked because we used to get drug tested and i didn't smoke. I never smoked in over twenty years. That i was on the job so but i always had like this idea that i was going to fail the drug test because somebody passed the joint and i forgot that i wasn't supposed to smoke. Wow what what an what a heavy recurring dream heavy when you retired. Did you light up that day. yeah i have. I don't think i've missed a day. Sense i th. I actually have the day but that was only just because you're com. You're traveling for comedy. And i just didn't see anybody that i thought i would ask. Do you ever have to arrest someone. And you were like really. This is stupid arrest. And i can't believe i have to do this. Whether it's a turnstile drinking on the street anything that where something that you don't believe in but you have to arrest person. i. I never arrested anybody for drugs because i didn't believe in that. That wasn't what i know. There was a lot of guys who worked in narcotics and stuff Most of the things he try to focus on things that bother you like your like pet peeves and stuff like. I don't like murdered yeah. Homicide is something that you you know if you work in a squad long enough you're going to catch one and i worked in the squad for five years but i never. I just had bad luck. Bad luck has his cases. None of them died. It's like you daytime soon. You're not what the fuck he's had. I had one guy hit a bullet lodged in them. And you know like sometimes they don't take the bullet out and they you you'll know like years later they'll tell you oh your case turned into a homicide the close it out the person that you arrested originally might have to go back and arrest him again but this time they get charged with murder. Yeah if that's that's a story. Line that i have of of one of my screenplays is going to be pretty good. It's going pretty good. You'll see eight when so when you're a cop. Anna comic. sometimes with the people would be in their cell. Would you try out your material on them because we're going to go. Yeah i everytime unlike he's gonna say no of course is going to be hilarious will a lot of times. It's you you know like you. Just you know you make fun of them and sometimes they make fun of you and sometimes you make fun of each other. Because you know it's like it's another person it's not it's not. He's not a it's not like criminal. I bet you know to at some point. The two of you become people one person's under arrest the person's doing their job and old. You're gonna talk to them and your natural personality is gonna come out and i we've There's been situations where driven driving somebody down to court and we're all cracking up in the car. I know what i'm saying. Why keep i would keep laughing at all. Your jokes thinking like on the third laughter. You're gonna let me go because i'm so cool. Yeah well a lot of times. Like when i worked in the warrent squad you would just bringing somebody back to court. And if if this person that you picked up didn't give you a hard time. You would speak for them as listen era I just want to say that. So and so is no trouble. Didn't resist He just. He told me that he forgot the date and I just gave them a ride down here. Basically and then they would use the get go and not only that but they would call me up sometimes ago amen. I forgot i was supposed to go back last week. Do you could bring me back. Like yeah of course is that counts is in a rest for me now went i just gave me. I just came right down to court. And i just go back. I take the word number. Put it in the end. It's so what how many arrests looks good in a month. Warranty get eight a month. You had to get eight. yeah felonies..

You know whipped with together with her. You know what. I'm saying like she. She helped them with their accents and under third visit came and she gave me my money back in cash and she says i'm sorry but i can't help you and i said what are you talking about. She goes. you don't practice enough. I said i practice every day. When i'm home but i can't at work i 'cause i'm a police officer. What am i gonna do like thou art under arrest. Come here the and restrain yourself sir. Duck with it. You did listen to this. A markdale becomes a detective. he's you were caught for what twenty five years. No twenty twenty years comedy for about twenty five years right twenty three and i say the facts just the fans himself in trouble. What were you doing at twelve well at twelve thirty and so. I don't know if this happened multiple times but at least once he's doing stand up but somebody that he's a civilian that he's working with on a case. See some do standup. Oh house my case. Going mark yeah. That's jokes because my daughter is dead. Mark she was not it was it was. I think it was a burglary. Okay you know. it's almost like seeing. I don't know what it's weird seeing a teacher when you were a kid in the grocery store and that'd be a little weird going i. I know you could be watching doing anything. But i don't. I have a rob real. Nothing needs done now. I was standing by the door saying after the show collecting collecting accolades. Everybody's telling me how great i am. You know oh man. Thanks a lot. That was awesome into giving everybody a pound taking a picture and then the next girl or the woman that comes up to me. She's like aren't you working on my case. Aren't you a detective. And i'm like yeah because i didn't do any cop material back then i was like yeah. I felt like i was getting scolded. So what's going on. My case sounds and i just started like walk with her and with her about it like i left the front of the club right just started telling her about our case like i was back on the clock and we discussed her case on the corner like she got an update. So i was like. Oh my god. Every time she wants to update on a case she's gonna come back to the club. Now that's right so so cops do walk and talk like that like walking me. Let me catch you up. Yeah well we talk. I guess right. It's almost like you'd like to mobsters instead. It's a cop and a victim. We never did catch her burglar though. I don't think shit you work. It on punchline. Say hers wasn't as funny as the other. So i searched. Let me tell you. I searched every comedy club in the city looking for him. Now would would. I picture like somebody spitting on your cop buddy and then turns you. Don't use this in your act. Did he get you in trouble sort of or did it get you poke at. Or what's the reaction at the the department at the actual off you guys are a brotherhood. Is it strange like what are you saying. It always anticipated the worst. Because that's why i changed. My name name is my real name. Is maya sanchez. But when i was doing this god how did it get more coffee. It's really you're next sanchez. It's a dominican name and So i i cut it down to myo sanchez. But most of the people. I know the the komi mateo of fresh people who me for years because when i was a kid they used to call me fresh always. I used to break dancing. I was like a little kid and the name stuck with me. My whole grew up in a story. Everybody had a nickname shut up. You would break dance. Well we'll think about my age was when it came out. That doesn't mean you know how to break. Then everybody kinda sorta. Everybody knew something. If you grew up everybody knew something if you popped a little bit or you knew how to die if you hung out as a kid. You're gonna know something you could tell have the you would've been a good dancer. I did some dancing. He's not so much. I'm not from new york that from our accents like this. Well keith. with ahead of rock and roll shirt on. He probably would have been thrown cigarette butts satisfied. We were spending on our head. The rock and roll kids used to do that. They used to flick their cigarette butts at us. What we will break dancing. You know get their asses kicked And they knew how to fight. We knew how to dance sometimes. There was fights a lot of times. It wasn't always thank god. What a movie like a west side story. How real is that I love that movie. I think As far as gangs go. Yeah i mean everybody you know. We used to sing and dance a little bit when i was Not so much the singing but the dancing you know right on card but we did it on. Cardboard boxes shore. of course. i knew. I've an aluminum if you could get yourself. What's that The flooring aluminium now. Aluminum siding is the side of a house. I'm thinking of the floor. It's something that we used to put on the floor Back then stuff that like if liquid got on it easily. Just yeah you're wipe wipe it away. I forgot what that was called to the no. Liam the null erin. Yeah yeah you got yourself. Some linoleum pyro used to see well wherever we somebody's the carrier lug it around the saudi. Go ahead calling up in queens. There were some hip hop artists. Not necessarily from a story. But if you're breaking on the street do you run into any of that community. I think anybody who's alive is still kinda sorta friends i. We see each other at funerals. Now i hate to say. And i hate to say that but it's true. It's my friend nikki. Buddha just passed away. See what. I like nikki. Buddha nikki. his brother's yanni buddha. Their last name is buddha. Probably you got into dancing. Fourteen right break dancing. Yeah like thirteen. Fourteen people put a crew. I i remember you're telling the story where Jelly bean great producer was house and madonna stopped in one time if not multiple times and mark would hear her sing holiday for example. And he's like the singing's not gonna fucking dancer. She was a good dancer. And what do we know we were kids. Who are stupid kids. We masculine martin was in military schools. Does that help you be a cop like oh good you know discipline or does that look like a red flag you know. Honestly kinda sorta kept me away from what i should have done after high school which was join the service. I had no business going to college. I didn't pay attention in class. To begin with. I was always cutting up and My goal was to disrupt learning whenever whenever in the classroom situation. Even though i was drawing or i was Heckling the teachers trying to say something funny. But i should went into the military but the military school kind of turned me off to it. But they're really not the same. They're not the same because right. Military school would just be disciplined the whole time. As opposed to the army of your boot camp training where you're being talked down to understandably et cetera. But then after that. It's a regular job. As difference i assume and so you're just i was thinking about the time that Times that military school. You guys are kids and and y'all sleeping giant room. Yeah there was a lot of We used to play a lot of games on each other. It was actually in hindsight pretty interesting way to go to school with your your friends all day every single day. I remember him marks somewhere. Say in the that he'd passed him in this job you know fellow compiled rates would pass around vaseline jerk at night and so i don't think any one of us really knew what they were doing. I didn't know what i was doing. I was. I was going to get promoted to sergeant a couple of weeks before i graduated. And then i got busted back to corporal the day before we supposed to graduate and the reason why was because we used to be on third floor and we had this thing to a laundry shoot. That was really cool..

"Joining me on the Demayo report in state Assembly member Kevin Kiley. He represents a district up in Northern California. We've had him on the show before, Kevin, thanks for stopping by so You have successfully sued Gavin Newsom Tol block him from his unconstitutional illegal executive orders. You've had the courage to take on big, You know, onerous. Uh, Punitive pieces of legislation like 85, the law that banned independent contractors in California. You seem to be the one of the only ones up there. That's actually raising your voice and fighting the good fight. Um, my question for you right out of the gate. While you just consider running for governor. I think you'd be a great candidate. She's Carl. You didn't warn me that you know what you have in the hard hitting questions now. I I really appreciate that. I'm very flattered, but You know, I'm I would just want to give you haven't Newsome recalled. And so that's That's my focus. And honestly, I think that if this thing qualifies, and it's looking increasingly likely, although we gotta keep our foot on the accelerator, I don't think I can do that. You're gonna be in short supply. Is that a I'm I will think about it. Is that a firm? No, I didn't. Well, hold on a second. But I've heard a lot of folks because, of course, I'm not happy with our choices. I mean, I'm talking to potential candidates. I'm encouraging candidates. I have said repeatedly that I think you'd be a great candidate on but we should be looking to recruit a great candidate. Major Williams is a good candidate, but you've run campaigns before and you're tested. And you haven't least some, uh, you know, profile because you're one of the only Republicans doing anything. So I'm not gonna accept it as a no firm. No, I'm hoping that you may be open to being drafted at some point down them line. So let's talk about your book. You. You wrote a book in your copious spare time on And it's all about the reasons to recall Gavin Newsom. What is what is your elevator pitch to a voter? You know, particularly independent voter as why I should recall Gavin Newsom. Well, this is my face, not just doing independent voter to a Democratic voters, liberal voters, which you know, there are plenty of them who are part of the recall movement, which is that Gavin Newsom has abused the public trust. You know, he has used the extraordinary powers. Of a state of emergency to advance his own political interests and to reward the special interests that put him in office on in the process. He's completely undermined our representative form of government and she using all powers for himself. I don't think you've seen you know what abuse of the public trust like this. In our state's history, and the results speak for themselves. You know, we've had the single worst covert 19 year outcomes of any state whether you'll get the economy when your kid education and leather delicate public health So you got your book? How do people get a hold of it? Because before we move on from the book, I wanna help you sell some, uh, help you get a hold of that book, And how much does it cost? You just 14 99. And I'm not making any money off of this personally. So just Google ve call Newsome book and it'll come up or recall Newsome. Book dot com. It's also on Amazon and I know so much people don't like my Ingram's on and you know, I'm also gonna be in San Diego and we get a half a couple book signings, so if you go toe My website in just Google the book and upcoming book signings and you'll find the schedule for San Diego there as well. Good good, and that's Kevin kiley dot com, Right? All right, So Kevin p. Kylie dot com or elect Kevin Chi any of those Okay. Elect Kevin Kiley. Calm or Kevin P. Kylie calm. Let's talk about this other suggestion you had. I saw Fox News. Pick it up. You and I know of the great work of the California Policy Center. You advise union members, government state local government union members of their rights under the Janis decision of the U. S. Supreme Court to voluntarily withdraw from having to pay any dues to the union. On dure, suggesting that this may be a good avenue to put pressure on the teachers unions in particular, to be more cooperative with getting our kids back to school to explain that Yeah, that And simply did, you know, cut off their source of power, which is their ability to conscripts, every public school teacher, at least in the traditional public school system into their ranks and then take a cut of every paycheck, which they then funnel the people like Gavin Newsom, who use their powers or in this case. You know, quote unquote emergency powers to do their bidding and to, you know, advanced their interests and to enrich them on it just creates this vicious cycle. And so thanks to the generous decision, you know, every public school teacher has the right to cut off that vicious cycle to take away that source of power to cut off the revenue stream, although, as you know, the state Legislature and governor has quite corruptly. Made that very difficult, Which is why we need groups like the California Policy Center that could help people through the process. Yeah, I totally agree and in the homework section because every day at 5 30 we give homework out to our listeners should be explaining how they can help their friends. Actually opt out easily from their state or local government, particularly teachers real quick and enclosing. Um, when, when, when you take a look at what's going on in Sacramento? On a scale of 1 to 10. How effective right now has the recall ban just with collecting signatures enforcing change in governance and in the policy and the direction of politics in California. Well, I don't know that we've seen a huge impact on actual policy just yet, but certainly in terms of the governor's emphasis, you know, he's like pretending even harder that he's opening schools one. Of course, he's not actually doing that. But he's trying to make it look like he is, and he's doing a lot more sort of publicity stunt. Even more than usual. He's tried to sort of rally the troops making calls the legislators saying, Do you have my back or you're gonna be with me. You've probably seen a few things press conference that you've done recently. What you're basically just taxpayer funded. Pep rallies s O. I do think that you know it is probably going to have the effect of moving him in the right direction on some of these issues, But he's still you know, is trying to balance that with his overriding concern to keep his No special interest backers happy. All right, Kevin Kiley status Some remember And my hope is you will hear from people encouraging you to run for governor. You're a fighter, and we need more of those folks to step forward. No pressure, man. No pressure. We will certainly will circle back with you in a few weeks as we get closer to getting this thing qualified Kevin Kali status. Some remember on the two mile report coming up. I will give you your homework assignments and it has to do with getting you know teachers to opt out of their unions. But also that we have an event that I want you to help me put together for the recall of Gavin Newsom. That's on the divine report. First traffic.

I've spoken to hundreds of workers to work at the army. Parker house at not of them have received a single dime of this money and looking at this winter a lot of them could really use it. So where did the money go in a statement. The omni chain based in dallas said it didn't use the funds to pay workers because the hotels were closed or operating at low volumes. Ppp rules allow a business to use the funds for payroll even if it were closed but the omni chose not to instead the chain promised to repay the loans with interest at least the part of the loans that are not forgiven but these loans carry a below market interest rate of just one percent which angers demayo it's disgusting companies. Wanna try to use this as a way to get a low interest loan from the federal government. Critics say repaying the loans beside the point. Lisa gilbert is executive vice president of watchdog group public citizen. Thank you think about other businesses. That maybe didn't get money because he did either to small businesses over struggling or another company that might if you actually pay their workers as for these workers. Many feel betrayed again. You'll see moronta only call family. They always say that. We are finally so where the family treatment when it comes to the employees the unite here union has asked the small business administration which administers the ppp and the us department of treasury to scrutinize the omni loans. Whether they are forgiven remains undetermined even as congress approves a new round of pandemic relief

How Have Hispanic Americans Helped Shape the U.S.?

"Brain Steph Lauryn Boban here. Here in the United States, it's Hispanic heritage month, which officially began as Hispanic Heritage Week in nineteen, sixty eight. Unlike many other campaigns that observe and honor the contributions of a particular group of Americans Hispanic heritage bump run throughout. September. But rather starts on September fifteenth and continues through mid. October. So, why does it start in the middle of the month? Well, a Costa Rica El Salvador Guatemala Honduras. Nicaragua. All celebrate their Independence Day on September fifteenth. Mexico's is on September Sixteenth Chili's is September eighteenth and believes independence. Day Is September twenty first. By, stretching into October, the holiday also includes de la Raza on October twelve, which is a kind of rejection of Columbus Day because of Christopher, Columbus's many crimes against humanity and see our episode on Columbus Day for more about that. De la Rosa instead celebrates the melding of Hispanic races or Raza, and cultures. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, let's talk about three times at Hispanic Americans have changed the course of history. Some three hundred years after Spanish, conquerors became the first non native Americans to view the Mississippi River and later the Grand Canyon one host. Jeff Marianne Hernandez helps smooth transfer of the territory of Florida into US rule Florida was still part of Spain when Hernandez was born in Saint Augustine in seventeen eighty four. But that changed when he was selected to serve in the House of Representatives and was sworn into duty in eighteen, twenty three as the first Hispanic person to serve in. Congress. In historical context Hernandez being a slave owner is a controversial figure. Still. He remains the first one, hundred twenty eight Hispanic people to serve in the. US Congress. Maybe of more relevance today is the first Hispanic senator elected to a full term in Congress. New Mexico's Dennis Shabas in nineteen thirty five. We spoke with Paul Orbits Historian at the University of Florida. He said in addition to being the first American born Hispanic senator. He's critical for the time we live in because he fought on behalf of all working class. Equally, he fought for higher wages legislation he fought for people to have the right to organize a union he fought for more progress and you as foreign policy for Latin America he organized N. Double ACP leaders against Jim Crow Segregation. Then, a Chevette as one of those people we can use Hispanic heritage month to talk about our connection other people's democratic struggles. Today's Congress. The one hundred sixteenth has forty seven members of Hispanic heritage. Hispanic Americans also helped turn the tide of the civil war. Some twenty thousand were involved in the conflict. While some in the southeast sided with the confederacy especially those who came from wealthy families with plantations or other businesses in Louisiana Alabama more supported the union. or it said a lot of Mexican American soldiers fought on the side of the Union army in the southwest and actually helped defeat the confederacy in the southwest. Hispanic people in the West back the Mexican government to and celebrated the country's defeat of the French at the battle of Puebla on May fifth of sixty two single Demayo in a victory that may have helped prevent the French from siding with the confederacy and thus ultimately helping the Union win. A bit more modern only about eight years before the US Supreme Court ruled in Brown versus the Board of Education, that segregation in public schools is unconstitutional as Spanish schoolgirl showed the way. Sylvia Mendez a Puerto Rican and Mexican heritage was just eight years old when she and her brothers were denied enrollment into the white only Westminster School district in Orange County in nineteen, forty three. At the time about eighty percent of California, school districts were segregated. Her Parents Gonzalo. Felicitas Mendez enlisted other parents to fight the decision and they took the school board to court. After appeals that were abandoned short of the US Supreme Court Mendez Versus Westminster became the first successful federal school desegregation case in the nation that was in nineteen, forty seven. The case was important arguing that segregation itself even if schools were separate but equal was harmful unconstitutional under the fourteenth amendment specifically, the clause, the calls for protection of the laws for all citizens. In appeals Sylvia's case was argued by Thurgood Marshall who went on to argue for the

"The Demayo revolt with Carl Tamayo and Penrose. I think it's a hoax by the newspapers and the Democrats. We never heard about it because intelligence never found it to be of that level. The story behind the story. Let's not be unrealistic. That's not gonna happen. Where police you're gonna be going door to door check how many people you have in your backyard? We're just asking people to use common sense. The fight continues. All right, So there's a potential mob coming to your own house. Your block coming to show up in front of your home yet? That's right. A mob A ah bunch of protesters hooting and hollering. Ah, and you may not know how things turn out. Ah, if you watch TV, Sometimes the mob goes crazy and burns things down and, you know, breaks Windows and And perhaps even gets violent. Other times. It's the Summer of love. I don't know how much summer of love happening out there that heard the proposal of a summer of love in the we've had like what? 33 deaths now in a lot of injuries. Yep. We're talking about the protests that were organized today. Where ah, variety of groups organized by the CIA. You Union Government Employees union. Decided to organize protests in about six California cities targeting individual homes. Now you surprised that the unions are so brazen to be behind this and to actually put their their letterhead on a call to go to people's private homes. Because I wass I said, Man, they're really putting themselves They're exposing themselves the liability. It seems to me. They are exposing themselves a liability. If there's prosecutors bold enough to actually take them on and hold them accountable. They know that the media is not going to call him out on this. I find it to be outrageous. And so we're going to explore that, and one of the protests happened here in San Diego. And there's a well known San Diegan who was targeted. Okay, so we're going to talk about that a minute. By the way, he happens to be a Democrat. Um, not in politics. He's he's easy. He's a private citizen. Not in politics. Okay. But let's start out first with the chump zone up in Seattle this morning at 5 a.m. The mayor of Seattle finally, after weeks of dithering and explaining and coddling and celebrating. Mayor Durkin in Seattle. Finally, with her hand, I'm sure shaking as she was doing it signed the order declaring the chumps tres to be unlawfully. Protest ng unlawful protest. Now it's rising removal. She's probably too concluded that it's an unlawful assembly. The spray paint with two weeks ago wasn't enough. Yeah, and so you know, little there. There. There are debates and politics. You know, I've been Veterans of these debates. We've seen him play out. We've been part of them Where you know, people argue about something that happens. One side says. One thing. The other side says the other and it really doesn't get resolved. Okay, There's no real verdict if you if you will. It's not like a try A where a jury comes back and renders the decision. Okay, guilty or not guilty. I think in the case of the chump zone up in Seattle, we can now render a verdict. If you are a reasonable minded individual if you're open to you, frankly, if you open your eyes and you know, listen to what you're hearing. Ah and and watch what went on. I think you will conclude that it was not only an unlawful assembly, but it was a complete what do they call it? A cluster. I'm not going to say the full word complete that it was that it's a scared show complete scary. Violent, lawless, fearing fearful. Ah, you know, embarrassment really is an embarrassment to this country to have that happen. But I think we can make a judgment and in fact that the judgement is reflected in the mayor's own declaration today. That's why I said her hand must have been shaking because she had admitted. I was wrong. Thes. People were violent. They were they were lawless. It was it was. It was not an appropriate assembly. This can't be allowed to go on. We can't encourage it. It was not peaceful. She had to make all those findings by the way in order to declare it an unlawful assembly under the letter of the law. And you have to sign that decree. That's why having been on the other side of the table, knowing the legal standards and what has to happen to declare an unlawful assembly, she ends up with egg on her face, Or should I say paint and graffiti all over her face would be more appropriate given the situation. Here is just to remind you Here's Mayor Durkin Audio one when this chump zone originally was established by the chump stirs, so I know it will shock you that the president is perhaps not giving an accurate or truthful picture. We've got four blocks in Seattle that you just saw pictures of that is more like a block party atmosphere. It's not an armed takeover. It's not a military junta way will. We will make sure that we can restore this. But we have block parties and the like in this part of Seattle the time and it's known for that. How long do you think Seattle and those few blocks looks like this? I don't know. We could have the summer of love. Oh, how smoke It was summer of blood. It was a summer of blood You've got, you know people that were killed others that were injured businesses that were destroyed. There's a lot of actual class action lawsuit, which I say Bravo. I think that's what helped taste in the the the the end of the chump zone, but it was completely Destroyed and looted and and all sorts of threats and intimidation occurred within those blocks. It's an embarrassment now. That's what that was just the mayor three weeks ago, okay? How wrong could she be? How she's been proven completely wrong? You know who else was proven wrong? Oh, yeah. CNN, MSNBC, The New York Slimes Washington toast all the media outlets who sat there and criticized President Trump criticized others. You kind of said Yeah, This is a violent zone. They played it up as peaceful. Here's just a little flavor of it with audio number four Protests have been calm and peaceful since the police left on it, Chazz Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, You know, look, I mean, if you look at it, it's not an angry protest. It's not really organized, but it is completely occupied. City leaders acknowledge that everything.

"Now, we were talking to Carl Demayo politician. Former over the San Diego city council and Carl I went on the website, and I signed up, and I signed I generally signed up to you got an Email back. Please please do stuff that we can do on the internet. Not by picking up the telephone so much tougher putz pick up the phone call. Assemblyman is it not. It is. But you know, we wanna light up their phones because we wanna make their life. Hell we want them to notice that there's a big outpouring of opposition to the water tax. But anyone who signs up at that website? We will keep them informed on emails later on. We're gonna ask them to send an Email. We want to get this list from the initial twelve narrow down to the last holdouts. And so I expect some of these twelve people are gonna come out relatively soon in opposition to the water tax. And then we're just gonna continue to narrow like a laser beam on the ones that are holding out. And I I think we're gonna be able to walk it. But we all we all need to work together and put up the pressure, but the the whack a mole is just very concerning. You've got to tell you know, was it five percent of the population. Paying ninety percent of the taxes right now. Are they trying to spread it out? Is that what they're trying to do to to intimidate intitiative for money from anywhere. But I mean is this a move to try to move to more generally rip the people off? So so when they ones that are being the ones that are being chased out when they leave they'll have a tax base. Look, they would take the last nickel from their grandmother if they could. This is not about spreading out the pain in a more fair and equitable way. Now, this is about a mad dash for cash, they have no limitation on their spending desires, and so you've got to come up with the money for it. And the reason why the water taxes such insidious tax is that they know that once they get the knows the camel's nose under the tent, then they will say, oh, well, we're just increasing the existing tax. So it's already on your Bill. Yeah. It's been there for years. It's an additional assessment. That's how they get these things going. And that's what I was warning people about the wealth tax right now, it's like billionaires need to contribute more. I totally agree. And if they don't do it we're gonna come get it two percent per year. Docker take very long before they get to you. And I and I just pointed the alternative minimum tax the AMT which was originally designed some forty or so years ago to cover one hundred and fifty five individuals who the IRS noticed were taking too high level deductions those. One hundred and fifty five people are now tens of millions of you all being subject to that AM, and you will all be observed subjected to the wealth tax, we will be and by the way, my problem is why why can't we call it? What it is. I I don't think that's socialism anymore. That's to Tel terrorism. And and what they're doing on these economic issues. Again, it gets back to the whole notion of arsonists firefighter. They say that they are worried about the working families. But they're the ones that are the biggest director working families ability to survive in California with a higher cost of living, of course. And so I there's a poll that came out, and I don't know who it's from it literally came out today. Sixty one percent of Valencia say that they're concerned about the high cost of living in California millennial voters who probably sit there and say, oh, I want to vote for a socialist. And it's like really wait back it up. You're worried about your cost of living. And yet you're willing to vote for someone who's going to greatly increase your cost of living. And and so we have a look I'm as critical as Republicans as Democrats because we are not willing to go and educate voters are I mean, I was up in Sacramento yesterday. And there was one Republican legislator. Who said man, I'm so glad you're doing this. I said, well, why don't you? Join me at the press conference. Oh, I don't want to get retribution from the governor. You know, I I don't know why you come up here. If you're not willing to stand and speak truth to power, someone needs to be the voice of the folks out there who do not want to see these policies. And so I I gotta say both parties are to blame for the problem. Of course, of course. Absolutely. I listen. I what I what I've been saying. Lately is I welcome bills above in to solve problems for him. I don't care who it is. Yeah. Satan, please come on in. You know what? I mean. I it's it's no, I'm not kidding. It's it's I I'm not saying I want to make a deal with the devil. I'm just saying. I'm welcome him to solve problems. Anybody's welcome to solve some. I know this may be an answer a question you may not be able to answer. But every time any politician in California's ever said, oh, it's a temporary tax temporary tax. I've never seen it ever be a temporary tax. It always stayed a permanent tax. Have we ever had a temporary tax that has ever been a foot in the door? That got pulled out that didn't believe swinging open. Now, the last temporary tax that expired was back when share had her original knows. There's no such thing. There's no such thing as a temporary tax. They like putting nice sounding words on these proposals. Yeah. The reality is a taxes attacks. It will always be there. If you let it happen. The first time it people will forget about it, compounded. Yeah. And then they compounded. So this is one of those taxes that we gotta stop dead in his tracks. Now, you know that we did stop the text tax back in December. We were the group that found that one we found that one on a on the agenda of a a an under a small known. "We'll do a little bit about Trump in the state of the union, including my favorite audio clip coming up after the news at five thirty and and he's got plans on Monday for a big rallies. Already running for president will tell you where it is. What's going on there? Oh, and of course, California wants to get involved should Trump try to declare a national emergency to get money for the border wall. So coming up after five thirty earlier in the show, we talked to reform California chairman Carl Demayo also host another iheart station down in San Diego, kogo radio. And you know, they did a lot they recalled state Senator Josh Neumann. They worked hard to repeal the gas tax got prop six on the ballot. And then they ran into the attorney general of the Sarah that who managed to put language on the ballot. That fooled people it's made it difficult for it to pass and it did not they're back. What they wanna do. Now is beat the water tax. This would be a I in California attacks on your water Bill. Normally, you're just charged for the water you consume and whatever weird pricing system they have. Well, normally, I mean there is no statewide tax on water. This is breaking new ground, which may be the most important piece of this. You may see water fees. On top of your water rate, but that is for alleged needs that your local water agency has. This would just be an out and out tax on every single person. What is it by the way, they tried this last year? But when Josh Neumann got recalled from office, they ran from it. They were going to try to pass it along with the budget last June. It was in there, and then they removed it and they thought. We got elections coming up in over if people who voted for the gas tax voting for the water tax. We may lose a few seats. Yeah. So the chicken down but Gavin Newsom in his budget message a few weeks ago said, Nope. I want that water tax, and you might think. Well, what's the what attacks four? Well, according to them. There's a few districts water districts around California that are dirty and they need help. Eddie's up their water, it's the farming areas because you you have cultural poop water fertilizer poop running off from the farms into the water supply there. So those local water agencies ought to handle it and those local people ought to handle it. That know they ought to be taxed if they want clean water or the or the farming companies ought to be taxed, I don't see why this is something we have to pay for down here. Now, it's not a lot of money. That's not important. It'll be about a dollar a month on your Bill, but they're going to get a foot in the door. Because as John said when we just started talking about this never before water tax once they get a new tax eight we'll go away and beat will only get larger, and that's exactly what they're going to try to do. So it would help to beat this before it gets out. Now, as you know, this is not easy because they have more than a two-thirds majority now in Sacramento, in fact, in the in the assembly where there are eighty seats. I think at sixty one to nineteen in favor of the Democrats. It's hard to believe, but it is and what reform California's done with a website, which is stopped the water tax dot com. That's stop the water tax dot com. They want you to go there and work with them to try to. Influence the maybe some fence sitting Democrats devote against the water tax. That's that's what they want. And they've got a list long little pictures the districts, you can know whether or not this is your state assembly. There's twelve legislators they wanted target three states senators seven Sembler members need to flip and vote against the tax. What they're doing is. If you go to the website, you'll see where they are where their districts are because a number of emergency, southern California LA county are. San Diego County. So go to stop the water tax dot com and see where. See if you live in the district. What are these legislators and you call them up? Yeah. Including the woman out there in riverside Sabrina servants us, she's got a narrow win over Bill. Sally, how close I forget. It was very close though. That's too bad. And I wonder because I didn't look into it. Did was she another one that benefitted benefitted from the ballot harvesting? Yeah. I know there's a lot. There's a lot of devious dishonest things going on. But this this water tax has to be stopped that they have twenty billion dollars in surplus, and they need twenty million for this water situation in the in the farm country. That's there's no reason to be taxing everybody. This is a gateway you're going to say it's going to be one dollars five dollars ten dollars seventeen dollars a month. It's going to go up and up, and they're always going to have an excuse. It's always going to be somebody's water's dirty or somebody. You know, we we need we need upgrades for this that and the other thing we're already taxed for this stuff. We already paid for the water system. All right. And we have no reason we have to pay for dirty water problems in central California. That's absurd but the almond farmers pay for God's sake, the Amish farmers since they use ten percent of our water supply. Let them pay for this poop and run off selling seventy percent of the world's almonds. They got plenty of profits. You go after them. So they're calling it the water tax weakling campaign you go again to stop the water tax dot com to get information on who these assembling in state. Senate members are that they want you to target to convince them to stop the water tax more coming up. John and Ken KFI. Debra.

Explanation of border family separation

"Here's the deal in one thousand nine hundred ninety seven the federal government made an agreement it was a case called forests unaccompanied illegal immigrant children cannot be kept in custody beyond twenty days the settlement said nothing at the time about accompanied illegal immigrant children you cross the border with your parents then came the ninth circuit court of appeals ruled that accompany children could not be held in custody under the terms of the settlement so the government at two choices either release whole families or the government had to separate the parents from the children and trump has decided to stop illegal immigration try because if you realize whole families they're gone that's it that's totally open border then you have an open border at that is what the media and the democrats are screaming for they want open border they know the law the law is clear if you're gonna arrest the parents after twenty days you have to let the kids go we'll all of this and there's new audio from trump who spoke today at some independent business meeting that's coming up now we told you during the show yesterday there was this ridiculous joint initiative hearing in sacramento the assembly transportation and revenue and taxation committees along with the senate transportation and housing committee we're having a joint hearing which is somewhat rare in sacramento basically the point of it was to denounce the efforts to repeal the gas and the car tax called demayo from reform california and the radio station kogo went up there held a news conference a lot to talk about dealing with this so let's bring him on and get up to date about what happened yesterday in sacramento cargo is help happy tuesday from the swamp on the left coast i flipped to sacramento what we found out you know late friday was that they were calling this hearing they didn't even invite us they didn't give us a chance to testify because typically what they do on a ballot measure is they give the proponent about ten minutes to present maybe fifteen minutes and then they use the hearing to shape what is going to be in the ballot description of the measure well we contacted them and said oh i guess we didn't get an invite i guess it got lost in the mail and they said no we don't need you we don't want you wanna come up and do a one minute they they said if you wanna do one minute as a member of the public we can't stop you from doing that but we're not giving you time on the agenda and so you know we did a press conference we we said this is shameful it sits a break of protocol and precedent it is not surprising because these guys in sacramento are east to never been challenged and they're used to backroom deals and the you know the fate of complete and so i i did my press conference and left to do my radio show i got a call as it was wrapping up my show at six o'clock and they say guess what karl they they postponed the hearing and if you wanna stop by this is the republicans want to stop by maybe you can kind of surprise him at the end so that's exactly what i did at six fifteen i showed up unannounced not on the agenda and pull the public comment form and i spoke only for about a minute and a half where i kept going and speaking and they basically motion the security guard over towards me to shut me up i was very very surreal but we got our message across and the people that they did call to speak apparently were all sort of local political officials who will benefit from this gas tax rip off is that what it was.
