"That way. One two 4.6 content approach one two 4.6. Two four 6 up to 64. Okay. That's the end of it. So I think what happened here, you know, these things always seem to occur when you have excuse me. You have a situation that you weren't really expecting. He wasn't expecting that 7 57 to miss that second high speed. And that completely threw things off because now the Airbus a three 21 has to go around and so they didn't get their win number. No, that was the Airbus. He was okay. The guy behind him, the 7 37. Yeah, they needed to have that wind below that 33 not gust and they didn't have it. And that's why he said, we have to go around. And just a reminder, delta like many airlines. Don't I mean, maximum demonstrated crosswind limitation that when they're certified the airplane at Delta Air Lines and acme airlines and some others that's actually a limitation for them. And so whereas a lot of airlines, the max demonstrated crosswind is kind of basically guidance, but not necessarily a limitation. And in this case, that was it wasn't a good thing because they weren't allowed to legally touch down with the winds gusting to more than 33 M guessing because he didn't use that number at the beginning there. But I think what happened is air traffic control is a little bit flummoxed or distracted or whatever. And forgot that he had already given the instruction for the Airbus to fly it. And here's a track that we're looking at here. We'll have it in the show notes as well of the paths of the various flights and the green line and three dimensional track is the Airbus. And so they went out a little bit further and then they got vectored around and they're kind of getting vectored to the southwest and the 7 37, their track is more toward the pretty much the end of the landing runway and then a due south heading and the two paths cross each other at a certain point. And that's why they ended up getting the tcas resolution advisory and why the air traffic controller told the 7 37 to descend to 3000 because the Airbus was level at 4000. So what did it say as far as the actual separation? It was I've got it here. 200 feet. Vertical and less than less than a mile horizontal and 200 feet vertical. That's pretty close actually. Vertical. Yeah. Yeah, there's some comfortable hand scenario. So you don't get resolution advisory unless there is a real risk of the collision. And the ceiling that day was not a low ceiling. I mean, I think around 17,000 they were in the teens. The ceiling. So it was and the visibility was ten miles, which when it's reports ten statute miles, it's at least ten. So with that kind of wind, I would imagine that the visibility was pretty good. Now, it would be easy for me to say, well, why weren't you looking outside and why didn't you see this? Or in your mind, going to keep track of the fact that that airplane ahead of you just went around. And so we have to be thinking about that when we're doing arc go around procedure, but there is a lot of well, there's a lot going on. So we just went around, you're trying to figure out one aircraft is trying to figure out which frequency they're supposed to be on because they haven't been assigned that. The other ones trying to figure out how to go to Augusta, the other ones, they're trying to reprogram things. I'm afraid that there was probably a lot of head down stuff going on. Probably both. But it's a kind of busy airport. It's kind of a busy airport, right? Yeah, it's very busy. It's like the world's busiest. Yeah, and of course the controller is pretty busy too, because when he aircraft go around, he's got a lot of information at a pass to the next controller who's going to pick these aircraft up unexpectedly. So it doesn't stop. It doesn't stop the continual flow of aircraft on the approach. It just keeps going. And check it in. Bernie. And now approach control has to worry about this consistent constant flow of traffic coming into that runway. Now they have to figure out how are we going to fit these two in or one. The other one finally said, I'm giving up. We're going to go to Augusta, get some more fuel and then try it again later. Now, I was just going to come and I'll show one more recently on what Peter just said, I think the crew that asked the controller about one of the headings. They did that because they wanted to divert and they were going to be turned on to the opposite direction to where they actually wanted to go. That was the query. It wasn't a query. Oh, you're going to turn us into a heading that will collide. They'd actually gone past the college. I agree. Well, the heading they were given was to get them away from the collision along with the district. I will say though we're supposed to go. The Airbus crew took a long time to initiate their turn onto the new heading during their go round. Now I understand why they were probably busy flying the go round. And we know a guy around particularly one that was unexpected. They were probably sitting there on finals going now, this is going to be fine, and then all of a sudden, oh, down that aircraft's not going to clear. And unexpectedly, they're into a go around, then you don't fly actual go around to that often. So, you know, when you do one for real, it's a bit of a surprise. So perhaps it took them longer than they would have hoped to get onto that heading. The 737 crew, they were right on the ball. They got the aircraft in the go around, and then they whipped it round on a sixpence, and that rather than carrying straight ahead and following the track of the Airbus and ending up in trail on him. He cut the corner. Now, it didn't mean he purposely cut the corner. That meant he obeyed a traffic controller's instructions, but much more promptly than the Airbus crew. Right. So the 7 37 had just previously gone around. And so this was our second try..

TSA Reveals Illegal Migrants Flying Without Proper ID Can Use an ARREST WARRANT as Identification
"The transportation security administration revealed that illegal immigrants who are unable to obtain proper identification proper identification are being allowed to pass through security using an arrest warrant to prove their identity. Congressman Lance gooden a Republican from Texas had sent a letter to TSA after a whistleblower claimed the agency was allowing unknown migrants to board commercial airlines in the U.S.. The TSA administrator responded. Saying that certain Department of Homeland Security documents may be considered acceptable alternate forms of identification, including a warrant for arrest and a warrant of removal and deportation. We're letting illegals board a Delta Air Lines flight using their arrest warrant as a form of ID. TSA is so bad is so awful is so screwed up. That illegals who don't have proper identification can use their arrest warrant as proper identification.

"The CEOs of American Express and Delta Air Lines on how consumers are still hungry for those airline miles First up though the new year brings a new leader for Johnson & Johnson with Joaquin duato stepping in as CEO on Monday We had a chance to talk to the company's outgoing chief executive Alex gorsky for his exit interview I think the saying goes the days are long the years are fast And that's certainly been the case I can hardly believe that I started with the company as a sales representative back in 1988 and never dreamed that I'd be able to be in this role let alone for a decade And there's so many things that have changed during that period but I think the one that's perhaps most remarkable is just the science the technology and the advancements that we made at that time And I can remember very clearly in 1988 when I joined HIV was just really beginning to be understood And I think at that time if you were diagnosed with HIV you may be perhaps had several years to live and today much due to the medications and the great advances in treatment things like HIV are almost like chronic disease And so there's still much more that we need to do but just seeing the incredible progress that we made in science and technology during that period gives me great hope for the future It's such an important part of our lives all of our lives and a part of our economy as you know the government gets involved in a pretty regularly How is the government regulation intervention in healthcare changed over the period of time Well David you're right I mean if you think about healthcare it's really a reflection on our society in so many ways And it's about 20% of our economy here in the United States depending where you are in the world It's somewhere between ten and 20% It makes up I believe about every one out of 8 or ten jobs in this country And I think what really makes it unique of course is that it touches each one of us personally whether it's ourselves or parents or children or loved ones we're all going to use the healthcare system at some point in our life And so I think clearly there's an important role for government but I think what makes our system particularly unique here in the United States is by having this public private partnership In an area where we use the free market but we also use that to catalyze innovation in having them work together in that way I think is so important Look I think going forward we certainly learn from COVID the importance of strong resilient global public health systems I think that's a very important role for government Getting to different parts of the system to talk better together to be better coordinated especially with some of the use of the new technology is also very very important So innovation is so critically important The private sector really has led to a large degree Are you concerned that the government's getting two interests in some ways We're talking for example about regulating the price of prescription drugs Is that a bad idea Well it's a very careful balance Because certainly what we found over the last decade whether it's what we've done with HIV what we're doing with cancers what we're doing with the pandemic is the importance of innovation And if the industry had not invested literally billions of dollars during that time we would never be in the position where we are today So I think well I certainly understand the pressure on costs that we all face and that we'll continue to face going into the future based upon demographics delayed or deferred care making sure that we have that careful balance that continues to foster innovation for that next round of breakthroughs while also making sure that we're truly extracting the value and the right way of our system is going to be critical for policy makers to be working on Come the first of the year Johnson & Johnson is going to have a new leader in a new CEO walking into auto Give us a sense of what advice you have for him Are you going to leave a letter in your desk for him Well that's a great question First of all let me say I couldn't be more proud to have Joaquin be my successor I mean this is a real global leader somebody who's very well versed with our credo strong values based servant based leader that I've worked with for more than several decades And he's been experienced across our different businesses and functions at Johnson & Johnson for a long long time And you know as I think about the letter the advice that I would have him more than anything else David it would be to keep the cradle in mind And that if you follow that credo balancing those stakeholders those constituencies between the patients and consumers who depend on us our employees the communities where we live and work and serve And yes the discipline of rigor of the responsibility to our shareholders you'll never make a bad decision Looking forward to 2022 you're not going to have to worry about Johnson & Johnson You'll have other things to worry about But what is the biggest concern you have going forward in the new year Well look I think as we head into 2022 I think it's tremendous opportunity And look I still think obviously we're navigating our way through the pandemic And there's likely to be twists and turns in ups and downs That being said I'm optimistic based upon what we're seeing with the signs and the technology But I do think that there are warning signs out there whether it's inflation whether it's other political events around the world that we've got to keep our eye on because I think that there is so much opportunity as we work our way through this when you think about some of the pent up demand it's really incumbent upon world leaders or for business leaders I think this could be a really golden moment And I'd hate to see it go to waste if we don't put our best foot forward That's Johnson & Johnson's outgoing CEO Alex gorsky Coming up for the first time on air.

"And no, this is not march of 2020. 200 million people are fully vaccinated. We're prepared. We know more. Biden announced some new initiatives to try to combat the pandemic this winter. Those include 500 million free at home tests, more testing sites and pop up vaccination clinics and speaking of COVID Delta Air Lines is now asking the CDC to cut its recommended quarantine time for vaccinated people who contract the virus, the CEO Ed Bastian arguing the current roles for isolation periods could negatively affect the airline's operations delta wants to quarantine time cut to 5 days from ten days, the airline says the current rules were made at the beginning of the pandemic before we had vaccines and treatments and I don't know about you guys. I'm with them except for the idea that I think you'd want to test out of the quarantine. You know, Jim was Jim was dealing with this just yesterday because I think he had gotten it on a Thursday or Wednesday Thursday of last week and he was still testing positive as of yesterday. I saw you tested positive again today? Yeah, what a bummer. You know, I mean, I put my thing. Well, you know, it doesn't matter. Yeah, I tested positive. That's Thursday Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Look, if I were in the NFL, I'd be playing. But that I'm not in the NFL so I'm not playing. I'm on IR. Injured reserve, injured reserve, injured reserve. We're putting on the right. I wanted to be on COVID. That's it. You're playing injured. We know it. Do we have 500 million tests? Ready to go? Do we know that? No, it's not coming till January. It's coming too late. It's too little if you actually wanted to do what Europe has been doing for months at this point, which is making sure that anybody can get these things and you can vaccinate yourself twice a week. If we wanted to do that in the United States, we'd need to billions, billions of these things. Becky said he said vaccinate yourself twice a week. I hope it doesn't come to that. Me too. Who knows? Who knows at this point? Why didn't he if he was serious about this? Why is he not using the defense production act? Frankly to go to the Pfizer's of the world and say, you need to make these drugs. We've talked about Therapeutics. 10 million doses isn't going to cut it, which is what I think we have on the moment by the FDA yet. Right. But you're going to need to get them to have first. You are going to need to order a 102 100 million doses of this thing. I mean, look, at the rate things are going, though, interestingly, very well be that it burns sadly and I hope the health aspects of it are in his diary as what we saw previously, but it could burn through 50 million people, right? And then do any of you have any doubts that it's 70 times more contagious? Who doesn't have it? Right. But as far as you know, yeah exactly. But it's like every day it's like, oh, really, really, really, really it's so many people. Look, I have to tell you, testing is a serious problem in this country. It's not just the at home testing. I stood in line for two hours yesterday in a cold parking lot at night, waiting for my kids to get PCR testing because the school was offering it. I like Kyle stay in the car and do his homework, but it can be met up with us later, but I stood in line literally for two hours waiting for them to get tested. We get tested at work, so that's okay. There are cases going through all of the kids schools right now. And before we see my parents for the holidays, which I want to see my mom and dad for Christmas before we do that, I want to make sure we all get tested. And that's what a lot of people are thinking right now. I was in line for two hours, so I had time to talk to the people in line. The guy behind me was at a party, found out that somebody tested positive. So he's waiting and trying to get it. He had been everywhere. There was nowhere to get these testing done. If you're in this entire region at this point. Well, right. I don't want to go stand in a line right now, particularly. I'd rather just with a bunch of people who think they have COVID. Right. Right. I know. So it's like, so it goes to the triple vaccination asymptomatic. Yeah, it'd be nice to, I guess. If you're going to see unvaccinated people, be nice to them. But if everybody around you in your family is triple vexed, I don't know whether you go put yourself in that position where you're with a bunch of people who think they have it. And they're all I mean, we know that I read it, it went through a hotel wall somewhere. Did you guys read that? Yeah. There was somewhere that went across the hall. So it's the only contact someone could have had. I don't know whether that's true, but people don't remember everything. But supposedly, it was in the air across a hall and a much more contagious let's hope it's just not very much. But the conundrum, though, is I agree with you, Joe, if you're gonna, if you're gonna be around other people who are triple vax, but also they have to not be immunocompromised. And you really don't want them to be severely old either. And for those of us who are lucky enough to still have grandparents. Grandparents around. It becomes an issue. The last piece I was going to say and Becky, I can rap about it, probably offline forever. But the big issue with the test is, even if you get the test today, it's very possible that the test doesn't catch it, even the PCR test doesn't catch it. What you really want these days is to almost be doing rapid tests like multiple times a day ahead of whatever this event is literally up to the last second. If you're totally committed to that position. And you're going to be with people as you say that are either just ancient, severely old, however, or it's true. Or immunocompromised. Right. And I will say it's impossible to get these tests, but you can get them right now on Walmart dot com. I just bought some. They've got restocked in, and they are only 14.99 for a two pack on Walmart dot com versus 24. Oh, you're going to cause a run on them Becky. I'm going to they've been selling out. They've been selling out constantly. I was trying to get them there last night, but I'm just telling you they're there right now, because Walmart's done a better job than the federal government has it providing these things. I think it's cool. You both have grandparents? Yeah, my grandmother's 95. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Because once you're once your parents go, it's like you're next. And my parents went, but then I found some new parents. Some birth parents. So now they're a lot. I sadly no longer. We lost our last grandmother. This last year you remember. But Pilar, my wife still has her grandmother around. So we've got that's great. Well, going on a hundred soon, too, by the way. God, where I hope to be in about 60 years. Right there with her. In corporate news, shares of Tesla are rising in pre market trading. That comes after Elon Musk said that he had now sold enough stock to satisfy that goal he talked about of selling 10% of Tesla shares. However, when all is said and done, he actually increased his holdings in the company. The sales amounted to about 13 and a half million shares, but at the same time, he exercised options to buy 16.4 million shares. Of course, those options came, but $6 and 24 cents a share. So you'd be crazy not to buy them. Those options, by the way, were granted back in 2012 and guys talk.

"To the company of covering employees who are hospitalized due to the virus every delta employee who has been hospitalized with in nineteen was not fully vaccinated. The company said and these hospitalizations cost an average of fifty thousand dollars. Some experts say this doesn't come as a surprise. A recent analysis from the non partisan kaiser family foundation found that kovic nineteen hospitalizations involving unvaccinated patients. In june july cost the us health system a total of two point. Three billion dollars. Hospitalizations have increased this month. Which means the cost is likely to continue rising. The cost impact is definitely a factor in employers and plans trying to encourage more people to get vaccinated through various mechanisms says critique amine associate director of kfc program on the affordable care act and co author of the analysis many parts of the corporate world of been considering and implementing various methods for getting people vaccinated in recent weeks. The national football league said in july that teams with kovic nineteen outbreaks among unvaccinated players will have to forfeit any games. That can't be rescheduled. During the conference's regular season major employers including disney google walmart and goldman sachs have said they will require staffers to be vaccinated before returning to their offices. Some colleges and universities are charging unvaccinated students for regular corona virus testing. And now that the fda is fully approved the pfizer vaccine the biden administration has said all nursing homes that receive federal funding must mandate vaccines for their workers. Delta airlines has upped its game in the vaccine pressure campaign. Stopping short of a mandate delta has said that employees will have their health insurance premiums increased by two hundred dollars a month. They cited the high cost of treating employees. Who have been hospitalized. Which averages out to fifty thousand dollars per person leslie joseph's airline reporter at cnbc joins us for more. Thanks for joining us leslie. Well we have the vaccine pressure campaign Starting in the airline industry there have been a few airlines that have mandated vaccines or their employees. Obviously we saw the pfizer vaccine get full approval by the fda earlier this week but delta is doing something interesting they're saying if you're unvaccinated. We're gonna up your health insurance premiums You have to start paying two hundred dollars a month just to cover the cost of not being vaccinated so interesting point there. So let's see. How are they doing it. What's going on so this is kind of unusual amongst airlines and even among big us corporations and it is something that hr consultant say that we could see more of soon delta. The ceo said today that it costs the company. Fifty thousand dollars when an employee is hospitalized. The a self funded insurance program. That delta has so starting november first. they're saying that unvaccinated workers are going to have to pay two hundred dollars more in their health insurance premiums. So it's a pretty big monthly charge for people who are unvaccinated. There are also other measures that delta announced today their immediate masking if you are unvaccinated any endure delta space headquarters or otherwise. And you're going to have to start in september taking regular cova tests weekly if you're unvaccinated and then also if you catch cove it and you're not vaccinated sorting late september. You're going to have to use your sick days for that whereas before delta was pay protecting everybody that's an interesting one right there You know my company as well. Iheartmedia offers some of that pay protection as well. You get cove vid. You don't have to use sick days or special sick supplemental pay set aside for that. But that's an interesting one like said part of the pressure campaign almost because they're shop stopping pretty short of mandate. But you know everything is pushing you into that. So yeah you'll have to start using your own personal sick days at that point and you didn't notice in the article. This was a change in approach by delta not by united healthcare who who runs their their health insurance plans. That's right yeah this is a delta initiative and like you mentioned delta did stop short of this mandate and we've seen this and other companies to it's kind of like to use the carrot or the stick and delta has been offering you know extra pay or time off and we see that at american airlines as well but now they're kind of putting the the cost onto the employees to urge as many people as possible to be vaccinated and we should know that has about seventy five thousand employees Yoga at bastion. Saying today about three quarters of our vaccinated so they want to get to a one hundred percent this is. This is an industry that is so dependent on this virus going away or at least cases falling so that business travel comes back. We see leisure travel. It you know the levels we were at twenty nineteen and their their financial security. Pretty much depends on seventy five percent though is actually a pretty good vaccination rate there so yeah just need to get over just a little bit more. What else does the landscape look like with the airlines who is mandating stuff who's going kind of this delta route. We are seeing a split among airlines united airlines with the first one to come out earlier this month and mandate vaccines first entire. Us workforce about sixty eight thousand people. And the way that's gonna work is going to be the way they headed up with five weeks after the. Faa gives full approval to one of the vaccines. Which of course they did this week with the pfizer vaccine. So that puts it at a september twenty seventh and it's a very strict mandate. They say you're gonna. You've could face termination if you don't get this vaccine. There are exceptions for religious and medical reasons but it is extremely strict. Mandate we have seen hawaiian airlines also is going to be mandating vaccines alaska airlines is thinking about it and they told employees that earlier this month and they said it would only happen after. The fda made the stuff that it took on monday giving full approval to one of the vaccines and frontier airlines kind of is in the middle. They are saying that you have to get vaccinated and if you don't if you choose to so you can still elect weather to get it or not. You will have to have regular cova tests. We have not seen american airlines which is offering you know extra pay or time off for employees to get vaccinated extra vacation day next year for example or south west and we have heard from a lot of pilot unions including at delta that they wanna keep it voluntary so i think airlines are also weighing. What are the reaction's going to be from some or critical employees and that was my next question. So we've seen pushback from the pilot's union. Have we seen it in other areas or has been kind of relegated to that. For the most part we have heard it from one of the union's at united the i a m that represents the rampant and customer service workers. They had told us last week that there is some hesitancy among some of their members to get vaccinated some have threatened to quit. Time will tell if this happens on. September twenty seventh by the by the time of the deadline for the union also told us united is within their legal rights and there. There isn't really a legal challenge that they could now to this. Even though some of the members might be asking them to sue the companies so their hands are tied in in that regard. Well this is all a push to You know obviously for delta not to spend so much money if their employees do get hospitalized but also to keep everybody healthier and safe even for the passengers themselves. They've extended that mask wearing deadline. It was supposed to expire in september. How long did they extend it to now to the tsa or by administration as a whole really has extended. That math made eight. September fourteenth was going to be when it was listed. And now it's going to be the middle of january. I believe the eighteenth of january. So we're going to you know if you're flying during the holidays you're you're gonna have to wear a mask on a plane and that's not much of a surprise and just looking at the case numbers of cove it so it doesn't look like that's something that's going to be lifted but the airlines. They want their employees to be vaccinated. So that when demand continues to tick up they don't have staffing shortages. I mean those are the things that we've seen over the summer. So it's you know add staffing shortages adds that potential for your workers to get severe kovic in. That's that's a worry amongst the executives for sure well we'll see if any other airlines go this delta route but for now The i mentioned the vaccine campaign continues. Leslie joseph's airline.
Delta Air Lines to Charge Unvaccinated Staff $200 per Month

"And Delta Airlines won't force employees to get vaccinated, but it is going to make unvaccinated workers pay a $200 monthly charge. "Get your podcasts. All right guys here. We are our last break of the day on this tuesday. It's been a fun day. Tommy's out cobb owing always kicking island being i- lending. Yeah it's really interesting. I was listening to joel. No state i think over the weekend and of course i can't remember it verbatim what he said but i got the gist of what he was saying. That i kinda gave it some thought over the past couple of days and domestic kinda really really resonated with me and he was advising people not to listen to the roar are a are the roar. Don't listen to the roy. What he was referring to was. The roar was naysayers. Haters outside chatter when you are in agreement with god about your plan when you in agreement with your creator about your future. Do you've got to learn in all of us have to learn this myself included to block out and ignore the war. The things that people say about you the naysayers the haters the family members. Your so-called love ones. Your friends blogs i'd g page the comment section your co workers. You have to ignore the roar and so he was equating it to the roar of a lion. You know. i've been african. i've heard dead. I've heard lions awhile. I mean really really roar and boy day so males man debt guttural ye roar of allied is to intimidate other lions and other pray pray but other cats. Hey this is my territory. Don't come over here. And so they roar to signify if you can hear me. I'm telling you this is my territory. Don't come over here. Not most animals get intimidated by that. You know especially animals of prey. They head deal the way when they hear that. Okay we get into close to this do but a lot of times is to keep keep other lions out of their territory now. This raw is to intimidate you. The lion uses it to intimidate. But the raw is used to intimidate you and the block you from your blessings from god so now if you an agreement with god and you're on your way to certain destiny in your life and all of a sudden you hear this roar from the haters. The internet co workers the rumor meal. The whatever you have family members that don't believe you've got to learn how to block out the roar because the raw is a trick by the devil and the devil has no new tricks. He's been doing the same thing since the beginning of time. Now you may have some technology Attached to it right now but the devil ain't got no new tricks heater same do heater. Same lowdown no good trying to rob you of your destiny do that. He's always appeared and he uses the roar to block you so now he was using the example of he said he was on a safari wants and it was talking to one of the guides and they were talking about. If you ever out on safari in a lion charges they tell you not to break out and run costs. First of all the lion can run at fifty miles an hour. So you can't do that. So he said interview break and run. You just gone daska. But he said the best way to handle it is to turn and make eye contact with the line. That's hard to do. I mean we all know that you gotta lying charge and everything and you say as turning road but the guy was saying ninety percent of all lion charges he stops because he just does it to see what you go to ninety percent of all charges. The lion stops short of attacking. 'cause he just wants to see what you do. Now there's ten percent way you know you're gonna but is ninety percent. He stops if you turn and run one hundred percent he keeps coming so you have to muster up the strength to stand in face the lion and the charging attack with the roar to turn around and facing. And that's how you have to deal with the raw of people in your life. You have to turn around and face them. Look y'all you got somewhere to go in life and god has a plan for you but in order for you to get there you going to stay focused and you have to get on track and you gotta have to learn man that you have the ability to get there. You just got to stop paying attention to the roar. You are equipped to be on the battlefield. You are equipped to be in rough water. All of us ships does a saying that says ships are safe in port but ships a built to stay in port. You were built to be out in the water. Get show focus. Oh god and going about your business and get the life to god has for you but everybody you have to learn to ignore the roar real quick a bullied at school one day and he made a list of everybody at the school that he could work and showed his little biddy boys listing. He said look at this list right. Laborde let me see that lists. He looked any saw his name. He say hey man. You got my name on the list. He said yeah no he gave me his say. You ain't never jumped on me before you. I never woke me. You've never jumped. Uk what me what you got my name on the list. Phone the bully. So hold on minimum so i take it off. You know what he did. He turned around. He faced raw. He was just eliah charging hitting his name off the list. The boy said tim name of your. Sometimes i have a great day. Ignore the raw. Make him. Take your name off to list. Y'all have a great day. can you. For all steve harvey contest no purchase necessary void where prohibited participants must be legal. I used to let people you know. Kinda hold me too stuff. I stopped doing the right through that guilt. Let me say something. Because i had this conversation other day was young guilt hours. Learning is the most useless emotion. We have as people because guilt serves no purpose. The lesson learned that the mother and because guilt and seat one of the the young lady i was talking to. She said well guilt. Proves that you human because you don't want to have more than somebody else that you don't want. No no no no. No guilt is useless and the guilt only happens when someone else doesn't want you to have more or someone else is using manipulation to make you feel some kind of way about their position versus your position and that's not fair either kid and do that and that's what i had to learn as a mom you know expression mom guilt. I had that. But you know i would buy things you know because i had guilt so just by my daughter whatever she wanted but yeah i guess straight talk from a very young age manipulates manipulative. Very you know how to turn on those waterworks. And all of that you know. And if you've got that soft targets for your kids you know anyway. Thanks for that lesson. Atlanta-Based Delta Air Lines To Leave Middle Seats Empty Through April
"One of the country's biggest airlines does it will keep blocking middle seats, at least for a while. Longer. Many months ago, United and American went back to filling middle seat Southwest gave up blocking middle seats in December. Now Delta Airlines announcing it will continue blocking middle seats and tell it least the end of April Delta, saying it has listened to its customers, and even though it can't fill planes under the policy, it's what customers want. And while passengers may feel better, or just like having open seat next to them, studies have shown as long as everybody is wearing a mask on board the cove it transmission is extremely

Atlanta-Based Delta Air Lines Loses $2.8 Billion, Cuts Flights
"From the drop in traveled. Delta Airlines had a record $5.7 billion loss last quarter. Delta is now cutting half of the number of flights and planned to add back in August. United Airlines is making big cuts of both Reagan national and at Dulles, one of its major hubs in Washington Business Journal says the layoffs could be close to 3200 jobs, most of them at villas. It'll be about half of United's DC area employees. United is the biggest carrier at Dulles flying about 65% of passengers there.
Coronavirus travel: Visitor quarantine in Florida, Hawaii, and Alaska
"I just saw this that big vacation states like Florida Hawaii Alaska are saying there's a visitor quarantine tell us what that means well it is a record here it basically means if you show up in a hole I will treat you to stroll by ship or by air or you drive to Florida or fly to Florida same thing with Alaska you're really going to a self imposed fourteen day quarantine but but it's it's not not eating differently when you think about it then you know bring in illegal fruits and vegetables you are the illegal fruit and vegetable in this case so please don't go they came into a little bit late they should have done a little earlier but there's a reason now why airlines like Ryanair is no longer flying to the mainland and then they basically cut out all their service in the in the same thing will soon happen at least in terms of flights down requested between where I am right now in New York and Florida so you know it's interesting because you also heard Florida governor Ron DeSantis talk he issued an executive order it initially was criticized for not forgiving the beach is open for spring break but now he's saying if you're gonna fly in from New York New Jersey or Connecticut you need to self isolate for fourteen days because they're seeing people from New York which is the epicentre in America of this virus right now travel down to Florida to try to get out of the big city where people are on top of each other it makes sense but they are trying to make sure that it doesn't cause a problem there well good luck enforcing that show quarantine says who who's gonna stop in and stop me what they really should do and it's going to happen very soon take a look what's going on in New York in the governor's order here on the governor's order in California and your own governor Eloy sooner or later every state's going to have to do this tomorrow how many cases there reporting because the food was good but what I'm understanding is worries whether but maybe been so few cases reported in what states would say like West Virginia is because they don't have the testing done where you have testing the obvious you're gonna have more cases reported but in terms of how it relates to travel what we're really looking at now it's on the drawing board no announcements have been made is a possible shutdown of domestic air service in this country yeah and the number the airlines would love to have that happen simply because from an economic point of view they can't sustain the traffic loads they're getting a fair averaging only twenty five percent load factors on their flights the reason why the airlines are continuing to fly domestically has nothing to do with us it has to do with how the airlines gotten business when I first started back in the nineteen thirties it's called hall in the U. S. mail and if they can come up with an alternative to do that then there's every reason to believe they're going to try to shut down that service completely enough American Airlines converted one other passenger planes to do is go to an all cargo plane and for the first time in thirty years American Airlines actually flew a cargo flight because most the time when they're taking in the mail it's in the same baggage holds your luggage and thought about that it's some interesting to see our people still flying I mean you file the times you've been on a plane recently I have not I'm I'm heating the governor's order I'm I'm I'm staying in place yesterday I'll give you an example delta air lines's park six hundred airplanes so many planes parked you literally had to close a runway in Atlanta just to hold the planes that were parked up and yet yesterday JFK whatever flights are operated by delta we're averaging about thirty percent load factor that is funny actually unsustainable so the answers to your question yes there are people flying but not very many that the TSA has reported you'll love this and eighty six percent drop in the number of passengers screened for the first time if anybody does fly no long lines of the TSA but you know that's an unintended consequence I'm sure yeah kind it is and I I guess people who are already have bought their travel they they bought their tickets to a cruise or airline of the already planned travel for spring or summer what do you advising those folks to do you're hanging on to those tickets you know you're you're you're wondering maybe even a week or two ago you thought you'd still take that trip now looking less certain well let's be realistic here in terms of time frame if you're holding a ticket for anything now between now and may fifteenth or even may thirtieth your flight your cruise is probably not going to go now the airlines will tell you at this moment because their computers have been reprogrammed that that April twenty first flight is still scheduled to go well you know what the Titanic was still scheduled but the bottom line here is as we get closer to those dates and we haven't really mitigated those of the virus curve those flights will cancel so my advice to everybody is if you're holding a ticket for anyone of those flights don't cancel it now because the airlines will then say you're canceling it based on your decision wait until the airlines cancel and then don't just settle for a voucher insist on a full refund because this was it your decision you didn't wake up one morning just capriciously decide you'd want to go the bottom line is you you you contracted for service you did not get you deserve a full refund because right now is that what's happening Peter if you if you tried to call up and say Hey I'm not gonna travel it end of April mid April whatever it is you we don't are you getting vouchers are you seeing people get refunds well it's a case by case one by airline cruise line by cruise line situation well given example of Southwest Airlines the original program in place it's been program put in place for years would be three basically put everything that you put let you pay for into a a separate fund and then you use that phone to fly for the next year but eventually the essentially with the with the once talk about now that the airlines are desperate to do what hold on to their cash however other airlines have been something else Qantas if they give you read that they give you a voucher now we'll give you a voucher worth ten percent more than what you paid for your ticket thank you your user ticket but let's be real here I'll give you an example in the city of Dallas I'm just using this as an example eighty seven percent of people who flew within Dallas who flew on American Airlines last year only for the airline once these are road warriors are frequent flyers their leisure travelers who say that their hard earned dollars to take that one annual trip why would you hold on their money per year that's just not fair it's not right so if you're listening to this right now and you're one of those people and the other one only once you do a voucher keep calling back ask for a supervisor or call my show when we didn't know it we will give you information on my show on Saturday as to how you can try to get that refund because right now this is totally unfair while the government is bailing out the airlines with cash why should the airlines bail you out I saw that that looks like of them so they there is a package I think their loans to the airlines not grants and that's what I've heard they did government can take stake in your company Boeing has said it doesn't want to accept any government stake so they may not even take the aid that's offered how do you feel about this whole package if you had a chance to take a look at it Peter I have been moved to start with the airlines for starters here I have no problem in defining the airlines as critical to our supply chain in this country and to our infrastructure travel and transportation and so if they're going to give them either these grants or these loans there's every reason to expect and to demand conditions and those conditions the way beyond without the eggs it is it was it was do stock buybacks it has to do with how do we move forward from this are we still gonna do these draconian well you know change please enter Conan rebooking flea season make everything non refundable and it's it's it's it's terrible thirty five billion dollars last year was earned by airlines just on ancillary fees and it had nothing to do with actually flying the airplane so bottom line here we need to see I don't think we will see right now because everybody's moving so quickly on this but sooner or later we need to see a consumer component of consumer protection component anything that's that that is attached to a financial bailout for the airline I would agree with that the other thing we keep that keeps coming up is people saying what if I get sick well it was so then this time when so many people are getting these unexpected illnesses what what what rights would you have with an airline to get a refund well first of all let's let's talk about travel insurance the travel insurance companies are very good at trying to get you to buy the insurance is actually go online to make your reservation otherwise hard to complete you can't complete the transaction unless you opt in or out to the insurance without understanding what it covers but most importantly without understanding what it doesn't cover and right now for example you can't get fire insurance after your second four catches fire and guaranteed that almost every travel insurance policy that's out there has an exclusion for pandemic so what we have to do now is we watch as the airlines on an almost daily basis start changing their refund policies from Detroit from trickled into Leicester cone into slightly less draconian and finally after much public outcry and I'll be leading that charge so it's actually fair and beneficial to you I like the way that sounds Peter Peter Greenberg always has the answers when it comes to travel and all things about it thank you Peter Hey John three to six you can hear him here on
