"Know how offer goes down this rabbit hole? Well, you start looking at baseball draft, maybe even more so than in football drafts. It'll confuse you. You won't understand why a team skipped on a guy that you see in the All Star game run Sunday night baseball the time But I pulled up just the number one overall picks of the last 20 years. Eyes actually says in history, but I'm not gonna go all the way back. How about this? So 2020 Spencer Torkelsson. He's not up yet. Adlai Rush Menand 2019 Casey Miles in 2018. Royce Lewis and 2017, Mickey Monje, Contento, Dansby Swanson. They have somebody who's even in the bigs and using 2015. So all these other guys haven't even made it to the bigs. Yet Brady a can never panned out. Mark compels a reliever for the Astros, Korea. Obviously really good player, especially those World Series years when you know the when you know the retreat signal. Yeah. Gerrit Cole may be the best pitcher in baseball. Certainly. Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg Within 10 Back home was just OK. David Price has certainly been up and down, Luke. Okay. Bar's been OK. Not great. Justin Upton was okay then Matt Bush, Delmon Young Dimitrios Little brother. Brian Bullington. Joe Mauer was probably a Hall of Famer. Uh, it's you know, it could be hitting miss. Even this is just a number one pick. And here's the reason why I think, and we don't spend too much time on this. But baseball is so varied where the competition Comes from and plays out, right? Even the best. Travel teams from California and Texas aren't playing with you from the Northeast consistently and so you have high school kids getting drafted and kids have 95 on the gun in New Hampshire, But then he gets the low a ball and he's getting knocked around or double air wherever you know, just working their way up. You got the college kids, you've got juco kids give the international prospects of teams are signing at age 14 and then funneling through those programs. And so I just think that the chance to miss it so much greater than it is in all basketball and hockey Well, and it's just it's where they take so long for a guy. I mean, think about it in any other sport. If you are the number one pick Okay, if you're the number two pick number three. Pick them before. Picture Number five pick in most sports. You're in the show you're playing in that first year. Hockey, maybe a little different in the basketball football. For sure. Hockey. They might let you go back to college for a year. Or, you know, one more your juniors or whatever it is our miners, but you get to college, but when you're done, I mean you take a look. Kale, my car. What a great example Camera cars plan in the national championship game. The national championship game. They lose the national championship game. Two days later, he's on the ice for the Colorado Avalanche playing in the playoffs. That's how it's supposed to be. Well, and I think when you draft guys that are like John Gray, right, coming out. Oh, you his time in the minors is much shorter than than the kid. They took the picture They took a year to ago. Was he from Kansas City That throws 100 that I started it. I can't tell you where he is. Single a double A triple A and I'm guessing Is he the one guy in the top 100? Alford the picture that they took, Uh, you know, I'm off the page. Either way, it's ah, It's an organizational issue, too. And that's by one of the reasons Jeff Bridges in the gym anymore because on top of the big club having it struggles The minor league system when your rank 27th out of 30 That's not a good place to be. Okay, let me ask you this when, when? When? When you say that is not as an exact science like Jo Jo has just say it. Why not? Why can't Why can't you consistently If you have a top five pick consistently. Find the guy that's most likely to be a star. I mean, when, when the Nationals had a chance to pick those two guys number one. They certainly came out with superstars. Why can't everybody else see it as clean as that? Is it just sometimes it's just hard to find that kind of generational talent in Strasbourg and and Harper. Well, I I think that you don't always know right. The kid may have all of the tools right? The five tool player that you hear about right or the picture that can throw three or four different pitches and hit 100 on the gun. Right, Your lefty, and if he's left, that's even scarier, right? But I think that the variables air like I said, Where where they're coming up from, even if they have those tools, the mental makeup which you're never gonna know. Until you have the guy and you're around him, and you see how he works and how he can process things and grow. And then the other part is the evaluator or evaluators. Right? People making the picks and you know who doesn't wait for you to Developed guys like that is the NFL, for better or worse, But we can name all the good GM's in NFL because they've had their jobs for a long time. Otherwise, it's guys whose names are trying to learn like the GM for Green Bay. And if he screws up the Aaron Rodgers thing in the year two after that, he won't be a GM anymore. That's a good point became. Hey, listen. When we come back on the other side, we definitely got to talk about the antics that Look fan's air just going crazy, and we have to talk a little bit about what fans have been doing showing their ass. So to speak at these NBA games, especially here in the last 24 48 hours. Disgusting Exactly. It's big Gala Giorgio on K away news radio..

They examined residential real estate in Great Britain from 1901 through 1983, and they discovered that the net annual return on residential real estate Was much lower than anybody had anticipated, they say, according to the study that the average annual return on residential real estate over the bulk of the last century. There's even any talk of the campaign, at least on a serious level, and they're trying to get ahead of the game because in a like Tom Cotton I used to like politico. I said to be all about political political was for the most part, I would say at worst center left There was a lot of center in there and they did welcome other opinions. They welcome conservative thought political was fine with me until they just until the last four years just turned hard left so much so that they're now scrubbing any kind of conservative thought from there, even from their their op EDS. Which is their playbook. They got rid of Ben Shapiro and the latest they've getting there. Getting rid of is, uh, Mia Katharine Ham, isn't it? Mike Anthony? Mary Mary. Yes, but anyway, there it's two more conservatives because the newsroom at politico gets so upset. Their feelings were so hurt. That Ben Shapiro's piece was published. They went bananas. They basically forced politico because of their sensitive feelings to cancel opinions from writers they didn't agree with and ham. Is very moderate, conservative, not abrasive, very sort of old school kind of conservative. Very little has wondered exactly right. It's nuts. But this is what's happening in newsrooms and newsrooms air caving in to these feelings. This is all why we say Cancel culture is coming for conservatives because if you have people in newsrooms who aren't willing to lead and say, guess what, folks We don't do news based on your feelings. There are conservative opinions out there that we should expose. If you won't even say that you want people to know what they think like, but they don't because they can't handle any form of dissent. Because they're so fragile. I would take it to another step, because yes, they're fragile. They're snowflake e I I get that and they have been throwing that on full display for years now. But in the Examples of ham in Ben Shapiro. I would say that they were They're canceling them are attempting to cancel them. Not because of what they say. It's because they're outgunned. These people speak above them. These people bench appear Oh, and Mary Katharine Ham come with Facts they delivered in a way that is, is darn. They have a different opinion that the basic, that's the thing, though right? You should have a mortgage as long as you could and try to keep that pretty. You know, as long as possible. I wanted to know what you feel about investment properties. My own 21 investment properties. My purchased one at a time. Slowly like, can't condo town homes. One of the time I might go up to try to get up to 100. That's my goal slowly one by one. Um, I paid them off. I have 25 m your memorization loans because the commercial loans and pay them off on 15 year memorization. I wanted to know what you feel. Should I do, Mom? 25 year immunizations. I don't need the money. I don't use the income. Um, that I get from it. Whatever income to get from Thinking the monthly income that against Fred just put right in back into purchasing more properties. I wanted to know what you feel to have him off with a 15 year amortization or on a 30 year 25 year memorization. Well, Josh, I'm going to give you advice that is contradictory to what everybody everywhere says about investment real estate. So let me preface it by giving you that caveat. When you invest in in real estate, the key to investing is leverage. That's how real estate investors make so much money on it is common. Um, when Donald Trump said this when you know he was first, of course, most famous for his real estate investments. And he made the point. Very clearly. If you owe somebody $100 you have a problem? But if you owe somebody $100 million, they have a problem. Andre. That's really the fundamental point of all. This is the fundamental fact that having loans gives you leverage gives you power. In other words, you could buy a million dollar property in cash for a million dollars. Or you could use 100,000 as a down payment, and now you could buy 10 properties. And you could have 10 times as much real estate working for you, and that's your premise of what you were doing. So it is classic within the real estate world to use borrowed money for the purchase of property because it allows you to buy that much more property and have as the properties grown value. You've leveraged up and it all is wonderful. When it doesn't go your way. Real estate crash yet wiped out, but that's the nature of the game. And so it is common for leverage to be used on that basis. I would argue that you go with a 25 year amortization. In other words, keep your payments low, spread out the payments as long as possible to maximize your leverage. That's the traditional answer for real estate. And that is not my answer. And the reason I say that is simply because of safety. Think about this In the world of stocks. When people buy stocks, they don't borrow their stock portfolios. Most often. I mean, you've heard of things called Margin accounts where you have the ability to borrow up to 50% of the value of your stocks. So instead of investing a dollar, you get to invest a dollar 50. With your dollar. And why is that The people don't do that, because they know the risks of investing with borrowed money. So my attitude is, you should treat investment real estate the way you treat investments with stocks. Hey, cash. And of course, if you follow my advice, two.

The pro trump mob arrived at the Capitol, and since then there has been an extreme added layer of security that we have not seen before. For any prior inauguration, 25,000 National Guard troops deployed their toll fencing all over downtown access is very restricted. Can't get in. There's just been a giant giant lockdown of the city in preparation for this, Emily folks, This is not funny. I say this with immense respect for the institution. Well, the first lady and the president dance. Will there be an inaugural ball? They're gonna letting her play sort of the pomp and circumstance is usually comes around the inauguration with a prime time special. They're gonna have like performers Justin Timberlake safely. The dog is going to be there as well. You know, I don't think there's anything that would prevent Joe and Jill from from taking a dance. But I think at this point where we're not exactly clear what, what it's gonna look like Paul. I bring this up because I just noticed that on Twitter, and I believe it's confirmed off of his sight. Mr. Garth Brooks Republican has agreed to perform at the festivities. He made very clear he was thrilled to do that. Yes, absolutely. You've done it for each other for a lot of presidents. Apparently he This is a very regular thing for him, and he wants to continue doing it this year in the display of unity, Emily what do we know about the actual oath? Where will it take place? Who will be there just kind of give us because we're so used to sing it out on the steps of the Capitol and it we're all familiar with that visual, but that's going to different this year. Is going to still happen on the capital will be on the Western facing steps, just a nod to the power of the legislative branch and and the nation kind of that's the direction that the rest of the nation is, rather than sort of scene on the side of the country that faces the Atlantic. It's going to be much, much smaller this year. We are still going to see a number of individuals turnout. Former presidents not trump, but Obama is going to be there. George W. Bush is playing on being there, but much smaller this year. Even some lawmakers that are usually used to having their spouses come and bigger groups come. That's all been cut. So it's really sort of going to be a bare bones minimum for this for this year. Emily. What do we know about President Trump and his schedule for tomorrow? The jump is not planning to attend the inaugural. He's not planning to invite bite and over to the White House in advance of the inauguration. That's another tradition that we saw numerous presidents take pardon, including Obama in 2017 win before Trump's inauguration from going to be boarding the plane early on Wednesday, he's going to fly to Mar a Lago in Florida, where he plans to be a resident now. So when we have the inauguration again, usually there's a certain cadence to it. The walk down Pennsylvania Avenue the You know what's gonna happen after the actual oath of office is taken with them. President Biden simply and his team simply go over to the White House and begin work. What do we know about that? We know that there is going to be starting small procession from the Capitol to the White House. Not going to be the big parade with all the pomp and circumstance that we've seen in previous years. A little bite administration. They have talked a lot about what they want to do, invite and get to the office received them. Releasing plans Immigration Plan coronavirus stimulus plan so they are setting the tone that they are very much ready to get to work. What is the tone on your Capitol Hill? I was thunderstruck. That the density of stories this weekend really across all of the nation's media on white supremacy, How does that filter actually into the day to day tone of Emily Wilkens World I mean, I think it's served two components here when I think about the tone number one, just the fact that a lot of people are still getting over the shock and follow up emotions from having the capital breach. People who go there every day. No, the high high level of security that surround it. And so to have this mob break in. Have lawmakers live threatened was just very outside what many people expect it could ever happen. And then there's been the subsequent response. I mean, It's still often. Washington, DC's kind of Tina's Oh, it's you know where the president lives for government is, but this is where people are raising families. This is where, you know not everyone here in D. C. Works in the government. We've got doctors and teachers and, you know Dah variety of job with the city. It's a city where people are in and right now, with a giant chunk of that city is shut down. It's very difficult to move around, and it has a very weird feel. Who it's because of the extreme military presence. It's a comfort to know that there's security and protection. But it's a very different vibe than the fact that are usually associate it with Inauguration family Will Consent is so much greatly appreciated in Washington, and, of course, helping with our coverage tomorrow of Joseph Biden's inauguration with our news in New York City, his Karen Chase Thanks Delmon Paul.

"Look, I made it 5.5 day. I mean, that's pretty good. Come on. My body is a lot better. I'm detail foreseen calamity That's gonna cause you to drink exactly. Detox. Five days is fine. I'd drink a lot of water doing all these detox things. I'm fine. My body can start screaming and yelling, Megan, No! Don't you know I'm back at it. All right, uh, This is kind of funny in a completely in completely bizarre news. Dennis Network D. R. Has launched a new Children Syriza about a man with a Penis so enormous he can barely control it. Now this is again. This is a kid's show is a kid show. Yeah, it's called John John Dillaman, John Dillaman. Follows a man who put his record setting Penis to good use and rescue operations, money making schemes and cooking demonstrations. In order to teach kids the importance of overcoming hardship. Pun intended, arch. I would imagine And celebrating diverse bodies because, you know, apparently watching a TV show about a man with giant song is the best way to get those lessons across. There you go. This is Danish television. Str I wonder if I get that a direct TV you are going to now. Ah, you know that Netflix actually thinking it. Uh, you know, you've been ostracized for the opposite. I know. So there are people so you know, you think? Wow. I wish I really had a huge member and see what happens here, John. It's that careful What you ask for? Exactly. It's by the way, Dillaman that the reason why they named it That is Dillard. The I l l E R means Penis and Danish. And Delmon, uh, translates to Penis man. So, dillaman Iso John Penis man. So if it was in America, but we call it dick, Man. Yes, Something like that. Yeah, well, it sounds like Ah. Anyway, there you go there trying to teach kids that just because you have this thing this thing doesn't mean you can't. So how big is his, Uh, dangerous. Look here. Gonna look here, remember? Did we have that? Maybe it was just the story. I don't think we had the guy on. We might have had the guy. Remember the guy that went to San Francisco International Airport and and they thought he had something in his pants. And it wasn't something that shift this huge. Yeah, it wasn't coming. Now. We just talked about it. I don't think we have the guy on I think we're trying to get him on and we never got him on. But anyway, uh, yeah. There's that story. So anyway. Yeah. Parents, obviously. Are not really happy about it. But it's supposed to celebrate diverse bodies on again teaching kids to overcome hardship and celebrate diverse bodies. So there you go. Okay, either, so we're trying for a noble reason. Just an interesting way to do it. It's a little different because anybody ever complained of that. You know, there are people Like, you know, women have, you know breast reductions? Because they're back. And you that batch? Terrible practice? Yeah. No guy would. Does anybody ever had a Penis not enlargement, but Yeah. Text line, please. I've used this term before, but I just don't think a guy would go into the dock and go. Yeah, This is a problem like you know, some women to wear. Yeah, outfit just started. They don't find it attractive. I could see that. I mean, if you had a how big is gentleman is my question E mean, I mean, could you you know He uses. The thing is a jump rope in one of the one of the episodes, so I'm probably just something double Dutch. You know, you could use it as a necktie whenever you could tie. Look, Uh yeah. Skin color Tiger. We're not there. That's dilemma to exactly Friend, But, yeah, Like I said, I just I can't envision a guy walking into the dock and saying, Hey, Doc, this is just a problem. Just, uh if you just leave the tip, there would be a good shape. Take me down a couple of yards. Get up off sides over the neutral zone all day. Some problems so encroachment. Kellerman just haven't seen it, but But there you go. I told you about scientists. They are it says atomic clock. Scientists suggest shortening a minute the 59 seconds. Now Look, I could see that or else we're gonna be off. I could see you. You're not on board with It kind of sounds like daylight savings. I could could we quit messing with it? But if we don't do that shot in many, many years, we're gonna be way off. And you're gonna be starting a show it like 10. 12. What time is it Should have taken that 2nd 2020 reason to do that. We've got much better. I just want, you know, just management's listening. I mean, much better, your degree trying. Well, you think you were not That's the one thing is is on TV. You got to get it right to the second right on radio. We're gonna happen whenever again. Latest throws to break right, They'll just cut you guys off right on TV. Just didn't say they were doing that. I remember they would play like music or little sounder than just chop us off. And we went too long. Yeah. Sorry. What was it then? Yeah. So what's the reason for this? The way the earth is spinning or so Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess I'm bored. You know, I just It's not that the you know the movement of the clocks, Whatever daylight savings, All those things doesn't bother me. But it's just it seems like the cries have gotten louder. That people have had it. I don't I don't really find because most of the clocks in your house now unless you have, you know a basic one, but Your phone all the different your electronic sale change. I mean, what's the big deal? People get mad. They're slightly off. You know if it's just a You know when the sun comes up, and there's a bigger issue here for science to bring it in, which leads to My son was just talking about the metric system the other day, he didn't even know that much about Fahrenheit and Celsius. So like, what are they teaching? You went to private school all the way through your graduate college in a couple of months, and he never knew what But he was just learning itself. Celsius is better than Fahrenheit because Celsius you know, freezing a zero and boiling is 100. And I grew up in Buffalo. So I know you know, I know Celsius, you know zero. It's times. 00.18 multiple, plus 32 to go from Celsius. Different it. I know it quickly anyway. Um The one thing that's always kind of thrown me off and doing games and Would we ever want to go to a minute? As 100. So with your theory. If we went, they want to go to 59 seconds. That wouldn't quite work. But if you went down to 50 seconds And then we made a second, actually half a second. And we went to 100 of these units. Don't you get thrown off sometimes. By, you know quickly. How many seconds is three minutes fast, fast, fast. 1 80. We'll say you're smart. You're your side, virtually mathematical genes that just throw me I like what? I'm doing a game and there's like 40 to play in the game. I will, I will often say 100 seconds to go. Yeah, you know, like that. A man and a half And there are the Chan Yard line. I'll often say they're gonna drive 90 yards and 90 seconds. But they were based things on 100, right or tens or based on Yeah, we ever see us getting the point where An hour or a minute would be based on Sixties interval of 100. So if you went to half of a second, Yeah, that makes sense. Would you ever know? Would you be on board If we could do that? Because that's a lot of president would have to go back to 50 for that to work to make two units. You'd have to have a whole generation of people who have thought this way their lives. But if, but you're right, I wonder when they originally did this because you go 59 60. We'll come to that when you just $99 because 60 seconds here in a minute and then 60 minutes to the hour and then 24 hours. Was in the day it all works. But if you're just slightly off the way these earth is rotating, then you have to go down to 59 seconds. Right For makes sense. That's the whole point. What if we just cut it back to 50.
