"Peyton Turner defensive end with the Saints joining us So Wall Street has been lying out there US for years, saying that 7% is a really good return on our stocks. Fact is, it's not They also want you to believe that trading is so difficult. You have to get yourself a financial advisor. Also a lie because real people are making real money. 30 50 even 100% a year on their money trading stocks even when the market is tough, and they're doing it with Carnivore Carnivore trading Carnivore trading. Is an anonymous team of the elite Wall Street strategists. There are legends among Wall Street heavy hitters, and now they've got a bit rogue. That's now they do this. They're allowing everyday folks like you like me to see and mirror their trades. I've been getting text alerts on my phone all morning. Long. Does this sound too good to be true? Well, they will let.

NFL Franchise Tag: What it is and how it works

"What is a franchise tax. So you hear this word a lot. I always used to think franchise tag means. We're just gonna see that player on that specific team for the remaining of the season but there or for the next year but they're a little more complicated in that so every offseason teams have a two week window to plot to a one year franchise tag so once the player gets tagged they can either sign that contract or a long term extension. Which is the more i think. That's the more popular use of the franchise tag because a of teams don't want their their coveted players to hit free agency and they don't want another to swoop them without getting being able to offer them. I so these salaries for for each tag varies by position and the price is set by either adding the top five paid players from each position or it can be one hundred percent of a player's previous year's salary so twenty percent Increase in that salary so by position quarterback at least twenty six million a year with the franchise tag water. She was get seventeen million defensive ends get around seventeen million but less than receivers linebackers get fifteen million and so on and so forth. I think running backs get around ten million so it all depends on how guys are being being paid at that specific position so teams only can use this once a year and they can only use it on one player you can use it on the same player different years but yeah you can only had us one tag per year. There's different types of tags. There's an exclusive franchise tag which means players can't negotiate it all with other teams. There's a non exclusive franchise tag where other teams can make an offer and then The the team that has that player can match that offered and take the player And then there's a tradition. Tax tradition tags are similar to non-exclusive but players get an average of top ten position salaries instead of top five. So there's a little bit of a my discrepancy there and once the tag is applied teams have until mid july to renegotiate the contract. So like i said most common use for these franchise tag is not let a player. They want hit free agency. They wanna keep them around and then negotiate a more long-term deal to save some money and get under the cap for the foreseeable future so these somewhat can be slightly unfair A lot of players disliked the franchise tag for example on robinson is voiced his opinions against the franchise tag because it plays a lot of restrictions on upper-echelon players. So when a player like allen robinson gets franchise tagged they can't really find the real market value because they have that set price on them and if they wanted to go explore free agency then they could go interview with a bunch of teams test the waters and see what their actual worth is rather than getting a set number Just put on them so that's somewhat unfair This makes them have no financial security past one season. So if there's an injury then you know they just their value could just completely plummet. Under the franchise tag now players can hold out. That's really the only leverage they have in the su- situation but you know that's asking a lot of a player to put their public. Perception line put their reputation with the fans on the line and so most players don't do that but it has gotten to that point before so most cases players work at a deal for the tag comes into place in july which is the deadline for them to restructure. Or make that deal. So now i'm gonna get into what players have got tagged so far and What does that mean for. These teams moving forward. I player i wanted to discuss. Is alan robinson so. This one was obvious when it had to be done. Bears have a lot of uncertainty at the at the quarterback situation. So i don't think they wanted to make a long term deal without knowing where what direction they were gonna go with the quarterback. But you couldn't let player of this caliber and a player. This talented gopher nothing in return so in twenty twenty roms a career. High one hundred two passes for twelve hundred fifty yards. And he's only twenty seven which is pretty remarkable considering everything he's been through he had a tornado in two thousand seventeen with jacksonville. And he's really played with really bad quarterbacks over the years he's had blake bortles who's a backup slash bouncing around the league and he's played with mitch trubisky. Who's a failed first round pick for the chicago bears. And he's still been that he's had that production there no matter what. So i really wanna see robinson play with upper echelon quarterback and i just think if you give him a russell wilson someone who's above slightly above average maybe even just average than his numbers will go up. Even more is ridiculous so like i said he's a true number one receiver. I would argue top five in the league. He's either gonna play for seventeen million in two thousand twenty which is what his franchise tag number. I think he's looking for more around twenty million and easier gonna play under that contract or he can hold out. Which i think is definitely a possibility with this player just because of the displeasure. He's voiced on social media and kind of how players of rallied. His teammates have rallied rallied around him and they really want to see him get paid but when you look at the market value so he's gonna get paid seventeen million the tag next year.

Dallas Cowboys Reach Multi-Year Deal With Star Quarterback Dak Prescott

"Salary cabin number for two thousand and twenty one is going to be twenty two point two million dollars all right now. Head dak prescott. In franchise tag again this will happen in a procedural sense but had to cow tried to go at this with dak prescott on the franchise tag for the two thousand and twenty one season. We've talked about this a number of times. That value would have been thirty. Seven point seven million dollars so the fact that the cow is now have him onto the books. We're talking about the value that is on the books in the books. However you want to look at the books whether they're e books or physical books whatever the case may be that value is now twenty two point two million dollars now. I know that we have all said some things about the dallas cowboys but they are not complete dummies. They surely budgeted for the franchise tag value. Because let's be honest. They came about twenty four hours. We think you know. Close to having the actually placed the franchise tag and maybe carried out with that prescott. So the cowboys have room for the franchise tag at the very least so you look at that quake matt that adam schefter was kind enough to do for you. That is fifteen point. Five million dollars that the dallas cowboys suddenly have because they've got this long term deal with that prescott. This is something that we've been saying for two years now. If you do this you can. You can kick this down the road. You can prorate it you can extended you can whatever term you want to put on it. You can spread the impact of the deal out of the signing bonus of the overall guaranteed money out over the lives of the contract so it doesn't hit you all at once. That's the one killer about the franchise tag is that it is fully and completely guaranteed in franchise tag is a one year deal so the value of it last year and dak prescott was on the tag for thirty one point. Four million dollars. The two thousand twenty dallas cowboys had to absorb that value all at once and they would have had to have done it again. Here in two thousand and twenty one but because they have adjusted that they now have fifteen and a half million dollars that they were seemingly budgeting for dak prescott that now they can apply to different areas. Maybe it is a safety. Maybe it's a defensive end. Maybe it's a defensive tackle. Maybe it's you know an offensive tackle. But they want swing tackled death whatever the case may be. We know that the cowboys obviously hold the tenth overall. Pick in the draft. They could go a number of different directions there. They wanna cornerback kayla farther patrick's retain do wanna take one of the tackles and rashawn slater as all this is. This is setting up and this is an important thing. I want you to hear me here and watch me here. You cannot waste this money. If dallas cowboys the whole point and getting this done with thac prescott besides obviously establishing having the best player on your team for the foreseeable future the point in doing this is to alleviate the salary cap space now. And i don't like the term when now if you watch us often you know that but you look state of the nfc east. It is by sudha. I mean the philadelphia. Eagles are a disaster. The new york giants doping daniel jones is legitimate. The washington football team has a great team but is void of the most important position of the game and a quarterback. Maybe they'd get somebody this cycle as we all expect quarterbacks to change teams at a higher rate than usual but the case in point is at the dallas cowboys are now. We're going to see this all day on tuesday by the way and we'll talk about it of course but they're going to be overwhelming favorites to win the nfc streit and you think about the conference that they plan is really a contender in the nfc. And i mean that with all due respect to the reigning champion tampa bay buccaneers. But you've got the bucks you've got the green bay packers and then who scares you. May maybe the rams you believe in matthew stafford but the point is thinking about the afc. I mean the. Afc has the bills and the ravens and the chiefs and the titans and the steelers and the browns. I mean you could go. A number of different ways. Did the colts have carson. Wentz ends up getting his act together and so the cowboys play in the weakest division in the weaker conference and so now they have this opportunity to really kind of take their future in the here and now they have fifteen and a half million dollars that they weren't necessarily planning on having use it and if they don't use it it is all for not so i mean we are all imploring the dallas cowboys to ultimately use this salary cap space. This is a very very very luxurious gift. That they now have been afforded that they didn't previously have so shattered of course to the dallas cowboys. Let's see here let's move. I'm i wanna talk of course about the bonus the dak prescott because well. It's stupid large. I mean it's amazing. Dak prescott has now the largest signing bonus in the nfl. You look at joe flacco. Once upon a time. Got forty million. Dollars matt ryan forty six and a half. Remember if you're on the fence about this value. We've talked about this before as well. Matt ryan became the first quarterback in nfl history to average over. He had thirty but to average at least thirty million dollars per year with his new contract that he signed with the atlanta falcons in two thousand and eighteen. That was three years ago. Dak prescott signed a four six year. Deal whatever you wanna call it. That was three years ago. They matt ryan signed that he was the first quarterback to hit the thirty million dollars a year. Mark prescott just hit forty but the reality and we've been saying this forever is that there are so many deals coming around the bend. Josh allens gotta get paid. Lamar jackson's gotta get paid. Baker mayfield's got to get paid extra calories. He's going to get paid the year after that. It's going to be time for joe burrow to finally get paid and when all of those players get paid this forty million dollars a year. Mark the dak prescott got this one hundred twenty six million dollar. Total guaranteed is sixty six million dollar signing bonus all these things that are currently the top of the nfl. The most in nfl history. That's the verbiage in determining that you're hearing associated with this and it's all literally true but it's all going to get pushed down because all of these players on this list. Joe flacco matt ryan matthew stafford at fifty million signing bonus. Aaron rodgers fifty. Seven and a half russell wilson not going to be a dallas cowboy now by the way sixty five million dollars. Dak prescott topped that all of these quarterbacks in all likelihood we'll top that that's the reality of the nfl things are always moving in one direction. It is up

Aaron Nesmith Shows Promise as Celtics Beat Nuggets

"Start with tonight. Again. You had a few things going on. The number one again. We could easily run through the most important things that happened the game, but it's really hard not to look at this and say that this was kind of like the irony Smith game and not because he played great. I thought he was pretty okay, but he did he was the first guy off the bench that matter. He played 23 minutes A lot of people were saying maybe he was rewarded for his effort you suck cuz he was running around like crazy. He still looks pretty tentative and lost at times but like he's trying and this is what we talked about. It's not that Arnie Smith and we were arguing about this on our thread all day. He's not that are inducements birth. Then the players out there. You're not better than SAM-e. He's not but you want him to be you gotta give him a shot. You gotta live and learn with a little bit. I'll take an effort like this every single time if he's out there totally imperfect choice at times he disappeared but I mean nothing just nothing but positives off of tonight. I don't think yeah. Definitely I mean, but I'm with you I mean and think he looks amazing out there, but he took a little more comfortable than we've seen them before in the past, right and also think that the rest of his teammates are starting to realize okay like the starting to look for him now more often and I think a lot of that has to do with his effort. I mean you putting effort on the defensive end of the floor or specially in the game against the Denver Nuggets, you know, I think that that went a long way and I think they rewarded him they were looking for him for open shots and credit to him. He wasn't afraid to to take those so much credit to the rookie but I mean is this Thursday? I'm now if this like the the rotation we this is the something just fix it was it is this all it took for everyone to just Panic real quick. And then this other come out here and beat the Nuggets and now all the problems are solved no, come on.

"The browns on the first teams to show interest in signing defensive end. Jj watt after. He was released by the texans on friday and it appears that the interest is mutual. Cleveland dot com reports that. What is seriously considering making his way to cleveland. To play for the browns due to the cap space they have available and a roster he thinks can potentially compete for the super bowl. Now we all know it's been a while since any big name free agent shows to sign with the browns. Do you think that. Jj watt is actually a realistic option for them. So i've left or swipe right. I think it's very realis- either. You put them next two miles. Gary that i mean yeah. That's really smart right here. Yeah that'd be a great acquisition. I immediately went to the rams as a possibility the idea of teaming two guys who are three time defensive players of the year would be an unbelievable option. Here's the issue. They probably do have room to work it out but it might be a question of. Jj watt or john johnson and leonard floyd in that scenario and that world do you go. Jj watt or do you go the other guys. I would go the other two guys but it's close really close. So does cleveland one. Sign what i said. Who don't want to sign what they're what i

Rob Williams is killing it right now

"Second straight night. Rub williams clamoring for him to start. I didn't think that was going to happen. But with thompson out it made sense. They weren't going to go with the two big lineup. They started teague we even theorized maybe pritchett started teague again. Played a good game. Bob is gonna have to apologize for that and a little bit. Couple shocking gene goes. I mean look at this. I mean we're not talking about teague. I'm just kidding. Saw four points. He was feisty So rob william steals again insanely efficient minutes again and it's now it's literally everything i mean short of a jumper which doesn't have even though when he does take in his form looks perfectly fine when he's forced to in his free throws stroke looks actually pretty good but again the playmaking is unreal for this guy on offense and again ofo is something all of it. There's so many. He had so many almost assists tonight As well he was he just has great vision. He such an asset. And everyone's talking about you know I mean right now. There's a real conversation to be. There's two conversations be. We're going to start with one and ep. Is he the best player in the league question. No real but questioned one again. We we've always said at the beginning it's going to be a matchup specific sort of thing with these guys you depending on. Who's out there. I don't know that that's the case anymore. Tell me a situation where you don't feel like rob williams can be on the floor right now. Well anthony davis was one that bobby mentioned earlier. Well hey anthony but are we going to have those dogs burger bowl kierra. Opponents joel embiid. You'd rather not have him yet. Isolated on and you. Don't that happen. Yeah so like there's a few but you're right if you have him with the starters with the regulars on this team who can help them out on the defensive end when he needs it and of course empower on offense. It also goes back the other way. We talked about this last night. The secondary passing the diving to the rim. I would they keep talking about on the broadcast tonight. Stevens keep saying the vertical gravity up the posed. The guys back toward the rim. Because it's like the opposite loose all the new stat. Will they love it. Well the game. This is what. I thought about last year two with that team. That was so poll. Pappy if you had the sky diving off all those po ups like it just basket after basket for him easily. Because of how efficient is how high above the rim gets. It's just the one thing that still missing is that switching at the perimeter. Play getting out on shooters that can devastate you. The way game swing on threes. I still see why. Brad has that little bit of hesitancy with them their raving everything else is there and the term is role gravity. The kids love it okay. I'm old gravity. Yeah we're just bond you on the league leaders by tomo by tomorrow. But i mean basically. It's you're so you're so concerned the same way shooter will draw attention on the floor. He's going to draw it because everybody's freaking out when he's rolling because no one wants to get no one wants to get it thrown down. You have to account for it. You're not gonna you're running. That role with grant williams. There's no fear you run it with rob williamsburg like whoa and everybody's gotta worry and it. Does you can see the defense. Start to tense up. Every single time they run the high pick and roll and he starts to move. It does kind of draw a lot of attention. You saw few times tonight where it was kind of packed in because everyone's like oh they're going up and over me here in his ability to just go up and get it and just frigging ram it down you know. Nobody wants to be in that position so it does Open things up there and it does of it causes the defense to

NBA Mock Draft 3.0

"And we are back talking two thousand twenty mock draft three point o our last mock draft of the year. It's draft day draft morning. What better to unwrap and a mock draft on draft morning. it's the second round. Now now's the time to confess. I'm really terrible at projecting second rounds like you know my hit rate and some drafts has been like one two three picks in the second round. It's it's so hard to keep track of the first round the wheels to sort of come off and these picks happened like every two minutes. I it's hard to really keep track. I did my best. I project where. I think particular players can go. You definitely don't really get deep into this when you're talking the nba scouts in executives about what they're going to do in the second round. They're still trying to figure out the first round as well. So i've tried to find some fits there so this is reported more chad ford speculation. Here about what's happening. The second round starts with the dallas mavericks this pick via the warriors taking malachi. Flynn the san diego state. Junior point guard One of the guys that frankly could go ten spots higher in the draft. I actually really love malachi flynn. There's kind of a lot of point guards kind of later in the first round which may push him out a little bit. But i actually think he's the guy who could step in play right away. I would actually love him in dallas. I think that'd be great. Pick for dallas at thirty one at thirty two. The charlotte hornets are on the board. They're getting this pick via the cavs. Paul read the sophomore forward center out of depaul. Have them going thirty two. This is john. Hollinger's been super high on all year. I think he's another guy who can guard positions on the floor. I really like him. Actually think he brings some stuff offensively as well. I personally like him. Better than precious. I'm right now. Could turn out to be a terrible take. But it's kind of what i think and i definitely think he could be an excellent fit. I'm in charlotte. Especially if they end up with lamelo ball and they're gonna need to add a defensive big man. As part of that package at thirty-three the minnesota timberwolves around the board. This'll be the third pick because they have to. First round picks. Tillman the junior power forward at michigan state. Everybody loves this kid. He's he's one of these guys like high floor. Low ceiling. just does his work every day. Great rebound or plays hard. I'm ken defend going. Bring be a great locker room guy is gonna find some rotation that somewhere I like him in minnesota on a team. That is trying to go forward. I think he actually adds a bit of a veteran presence to the locker room. At thirty four the philadelphia seventy sixers are on the clock. That get this. Pick via the hawks. Isaiah joe the arkansas shooting guard who is one of the best shooters in this draft. Crazy range. High volume of three point shots philadelphia. Always in need shooters. When you're going to be playing. Ben simmons on this team he certainly constructs the floor. And i'd like isaiah joe there them at thirty five the sacramento kings Via the pistons. Dan dotson to kansas sophomore guard. Who is one of the quickest players in the draft. He's an elite score excels off the getting to the basket not a great shooter a bit undersized for his position not really a point guard that's why he slides a few spots higher but could be instant offense off the bench for sacrimento at thirty five at thirty six the philadelphia seventy sixers back on the clock this time via that pick from the mix jordan aura the louisville junior who also is one of the better shooters in this draft. He has good size vers position. Good length i'm not sure exactly what else he brings to the table besides shooting but again i'm just loading philly up i with shooters at the moment at thirty seven. The washington wizards are on the board. They get this pick via the chicago. Bulls tyler bay the junior ford out of colorado who is one of the best athletes in the strath super explosive. Really hard worker on the defensive end still just kinda coming along on the offensive. And then i think that's been a concern. He's he's one of those guys that might be a little bit of a twitter. Not sure exactly what position he plays in the pros that causes him to slide. A few picks in this draft think this is still really value. and by the way when. We're talking about a lot of these guys dotson. Tillman for example malachi flan. These guys could all end up in the first round as well. Just have them the second thirty eight new york knicks via the hornets janis ramsey. The texas tech freshman guard again volume score can shoot it a little bit We're just loading the knicks up now with backward guys that can score the basketball. I'm not sure who's going to defend in new york. But he's an intriguing prospect. He's only nineteen years old. And i certainly there's upside there with the thirtieth pick in the draft at thirty nine the new orleans. Pelicans selecting this pick for the wizards. Daniela touro the minnesota sophomore center. Who had a really really strong summer season one of the more improved players in the country very skilled at big man. I'm great size. Adding just bore skill in size to this pelicans roster i'm at the moment If you remember earlier jalen smith. I'm selected at thirteen at forty. The grizzlies are on the board. This pick via the silence. This is the first pick that the grizzlies have been able to make in the twenty twenty. Nba draft a doco as a bouquet. The kansas center. Big guy seven. Seven wingspan seven footer. Really good athlete actually just dominant player in the pain. Terrible free throw. Shooter doesn't really do anything facing the basket. But when you have that size and length and athleticism. I think you get something done in. The and kind of reminds me deondraye jordan. A little bit and a little bit surprised. He doesn't go higher. I get there seems to be a penalty on the big minner plane or pain. Right now in the draft at forty one san antonio spurs back on the on the board yama dr the israeli guard nineteen year old for hop. Well tel-aviv and you know. He's such an intriguing prospect because he plays his butt off. His incredible energy is just making a difference when he's out there but he's not really a point guard. He's kind of more of a two guard in a point guards body. He's not like a great shooter. I'm athletically he's actually not bad at all but that lack of a jump shot kinda undersized i position that makes him more of a second round prospect at he absolutely wants to leave israel and come to the nba. And if it's the g. league next year and so he could be an interesting prospect for san antonio developed down the road

"For anything. I've met people teammate. Saying coaches that their relationship out value so much to this day and I cherish them. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I met some great people. Donald Road I may some incredible memories and you know I wouldn't trade it for anything because you know that was where it all started. They were to school. That you know that you know Put all their chips in table for me. You know eight and Turner back with me when things got route so it was great. I loved it at Central Michigan. Yeah so you were Grad transfer. You transferred you went to University of Michigan School of social work. Can you describe what draws you to that and try to help your community? Because I think that's a big piece of what the chiefs look for as well. They look for guys. These high character guys like yourself. So what drew you to that? You know since since I've been an athlete and you know Ben A person of community. I always wanted to know give back. Always look the one of some of the greats in their sports like Lebron James and you know he got his whole Akron Akron. He got the school where he gets paying tuition or kissed wish you know. He's getting back to his community. So you know some of the biggest role miles doing acid. I was really where I wanted to do with just looking at for my role models giving back and I always want to be that person to give back to the US and you know have whatever whether it's youth or you know the whole community as a whole is given back my lousy support to everybody because you know all that positive reinforcement. You're giving people people know live off that Atkins change somebody live at may give Activate inspiration for a kid's life and he can go on his future career to give back to the city. You know so you know. It's like a domino effect. One person to thank you know somebody else wanted to giving back to. The community is nothing like in doing events for Charity. Organization is is a great villain. That's you know you can't get without doing it. You pay it forward effect. Yeah Yeah Yeah so you transferred there because you had to wait until you graduated. That meant that you had a very short off season there before Michigan. You kinda had hit the ground running and you said you wait about two fifty. I know that Michigan Bolt you up a little bit. What what were you playing at last year for Michigan playing at two sixty okay to sixty Gotcha so short offseason having to come in there. Jim Harbaugh a guy who has been in the NFL ranks. He understands what this is. He understands how to do things. But because you had everything so compressed you know how does that shorten off season tied of help you going forward especially with this off season in the NFL because you know there we don't know when the NFL season's GonNa Start. We don't know what teams can get back into building. We don't know what it's going to be. How does that give you a leg up on some other guys? Because I've been through this before. Yeah you know Just because I've been through it is made this has like I approach it the same way. I'm one on prochet. One idealized Take initiatives and you know I'm a man on a mission. You know I had to take my business in that short frame of time. Because you know I didn't have the same time everybody else. As soon as I got there I had hit the ground running. So whether it was starting from the play gloat than you know watching film thing again an extra workout in a second to the workout. We got with a whole team. That's why I had to do. All control is my readiness. So whether like I said My readiness pertains what I do on a daily basis. So that's You know whether I'm eating arrived food or doing anything I'm doing so it can even be like doing homework. I control all that at all. That's my control me. Going to your own more. You know means doing some help. Better myself on all on me that controls what I and my readiness controls audit. So that's all I'm looking forward to doing control my readiness and you know Making try stay ready for whatever happened because this can blow over whatever so you know. I don't want this to blow over that. You know I'm not ready or D- I'm behind because I decided not to take my readiness series so that's good. That's good to hear what's your favorite play in your collegiate career could be Michigan. Could be central Michigan. Played for me as a developments dream. Come true a scoop and score ticket at a scoop. Scorer wasn't twenty or thirty yards. Mice scar was a sixty yard. Return so you know our running for low bit all right. What's your favorite pass rush? Move on my favorite pass. Rush move is a speed power. What a stat. And that's my favorite. Because when I do go speed. It gets office alignment kick when I go power and shoot my staff to his inner packed. That stripe catching so off guard and knocks off balance. Because he's you know trying to catch up to my speed so when my kissing them off balance I either can go down the middle driving to the Leopard of quarterback or I can go inside and you know often I'll Beat them Outsi. So that one move gives me three different escape ways or three different ways. I can capitalize on them. So you know. I think that move put a lot of tap was in big disadvantage is when they try to get a good A kick because they see I'm coaching on with speed. And you know Does US moved to the best mind Mastering at Dow is armed. Keep doing because I asked my favorite movies not going anywhere good good. Do you ever been to Kansas City before. Never been do you like barbecue. Oh Yeah Oh man you you are in for man. That's that's the heart of it right there so I don't tell me that. Rn She's saying let's get to know my here's thanks for joining me. Mike really appreciate you man. Thanks for having me..

"You do not to use the PUCK. Sf`Er let a great question. Jesse David Fox all right we are continuing our positional profiles with the defensive ends. We are looking at the free agent side. We're looking ahead to two thousand twenty. We're looking at the draft and a free agency We just got done review in nineteen. Let's look to the future. We start with a top tier free agent as we've done this entire thing. We're going with Robert Quinn. Mattie gay and I just WANNA solve a defensive end is one of the positions that I feel the most comfortable trying to project players. Steve Spectral likes last season. I looked at Kind of players. He likes his scene would watch until they were very specific and they are throughout his career. Defensive Coordinator head coach Steve Has fielded played for significant snaps. Twenty five different defense events. Nineteen of those guys have hit the same threshold. Three specific categories Arm Nineteen Twenty. Five guys hit that everybody else has only missed or bid under his threshold on one of those three categories never to only one has been ever all twenty five players. Like it's very clear to see the type of player Steve Spagnuola once so this is a pretty easy projection for me to make in terms of who look at free agency or the draft. All that information is in the Casey draft guide. If you guys snag it this year last year's edition you guys that had it gotta see last year this year. It's GonNa come back updated a little bit better but our tier got Robert Plant. Ceased Battle was the head coach of the Rams Drafted him so he already has a little bit of a connection neck. Robert Clinton fits all criteria high weight arm lengths. Spaniel looks for his defensive ends. I would maybe argue that Robert. Quinn plays a little bit more finesse. Vince but he fits. The athletic thresholds the measurable. He's had a good resurgence. Create these last two years that trade really helping the Dallas last year. He's been more of a sack artist. He's GonNa earn a little bit of money but he fits they look for. He has the length and he's been quality play. He's really found a home once he got out of the rams. There's after those last few years. Yeah I think at ten and a half sacks on the season and I think we should probably preface this conversation like we're we've been we've been really consistent addressing top tier guys and matere guys and then best fits. I highly doubt the chiefs are spending the money. That's going to take to grab Robert Quinn. But if you're looking at one of these top tier guys if you're looking at them trying to spend a little bit of money there. I think Robert Quinn's the guy that makes the most sense for this football team and yeah he's definitely earned another contract because he is kind of revitalized his career. Little Bit after Some down years with the dolphins get and the reason. Why another reason? Why maybe they won't target Robert Quinn? He's about to be thirty and we've talked about how V. doesn't like paying older players more than a year if Robert Quinn's market isn't super hot. I could definitely see this team coming after him. Trying to get a guy like him. He was suspended last year for a drug that he was taking that was prescribed to him but he was suspended for a number of games last year. After being traded for a six round pick so his market isn't like sky-high but can't said he produced double digit sacks. He was a terror he was. He was a problem for defense. Air For offense of lines to handle I could definitely see him being brought in under SPAGNOLO. All right we're going to go to a mid tier guy and that's Shack Lawson who was with the buffalo bills. You might remember Shack Lawson from a few drafts ago. I believe us a first round pick for the buffalo bills. I think he was in the same draft. I think you might have been the same draft as Reggie Ragland. Actually if I'm remembering correctly and you know he's e- kind of all the transitions with buffalo over the last few years I don't know if been particularly kind to him in his development but he kinda showed some signs of life this year Six and a half sacks on the season he fits the criteria. Is that Steve spagnuola likes. And you know you might be able to get. Some good value out of breach definitely has a draft grade on them. I'm sure any know-how BR V. Has Been Intentional about taking guys that he liked coming out of the draft if he lied if you like shock loss and come out of the draft. I would not be stunned at all if he gets if he gets a call. Here trying to trying to bring him into Kansas City if he likes Shack Lawson. We got a question earlier this week. On the mailbag episode about a move that we think would happen day one of the League year if he likes Shack Lawson guess what guys? That's one of their shock. Loss didn't start a game. Last year he played in fifteen didn't start he was used as a situational rusher. There's a home for him here. The chiefs have a lot of these. Bigger kind of starting defensive in type guys spat Shack laws and could be brought in off the bench. When they kick in some of these defensive INSTA- three TEK allow loss into Rauch off the edge. That could be where he could really find a home try to revitalize his career a little bit of advance himself. Get a bigger contract. Maybe make it a little bit on like a one or two year deal. In Kansas City Shock Lawson had his highest sack total tackle total tackles for loss. Qb Hers Pressure. It's all last year in a contract year so I know that does throw up some red flags for some people but like kids at I think. Part of it's the constant changing of scheme where he's playing. It looked like he was just finally comfortable out there this past year I do. I think Shaq'll also might really push closer to the ideal level terms of money just because you're going to bet on a young relatively explosive powerful player like in also began talking about athletic profiles Shack Lawson Fitch two out of three primary criteria Looks for it. He just misses that third one. I think he's a guy that would definitely be on the radar. His best athletic comparison on Bach. Draftable Chris Wall another player. That Steve Spagnuola has played with before coach longtime for the rams. He's just a guy that fits even if it's not a perfect fit. He's very close. They've used guys like him in the past. He's a young player that still assembling are. Let's go to the best fit in free agency now for the Kansas City chiefs. And we're just bringing back a manual OB- Mattie yet. I think this is about the easiest one there is. I think he's GonNa not cost the todd especially coming off his injury. I would be okay with giving him a one year kind of proved deal you know. Give him a little bit of money because he did play very well for the chiefs. You don't have to lock them up long-term if you don't want to right now or if he's willing to do it by all means have. I really liked what I saw of him. From the chiefs. That inside outside versatility. He fits what they are looking for. A Don't think he's GonNa break the bank to come back and he just adds all that extra versatility to a very good group anything he pushes Alex Okafor. It'll pass to be better or they don't get to see the field. I would really try to see if I can get a multi year deal done with a manual Ogden. Maybe get two years out of if you know if you can get three. That'd be great but I would. I would push for you know maybe trying to get multi-use done on that. I mean I think there's a lot of things here for for manual log. Should draw him to to Kansas City. You know he was having a potentially career year before he got hurt. He's got some comfortably. He the coaching staff has stayed the statements intact for him. I mean there's a lot of benefit here Maybe he just wants to. You know one year prove it but if that's the case you're still you're going to get you're GONNA get contract your menu log bad of it too. Though get contract year Emmanuel that knows the system because if he goes somewhere else who takes a one year deal somewhere else? He's gotTA learn new systems. GotTa Learn a new coaching staff. He's got a really kind of reintegrate himself with everything he stays here. Chances are good that he can push for a starting position. Be Able to start on the outside opposite frank. Clark know that you're going to get one on one reps because teams are focusing so much on Frank Clark. He can win more in Kansas City than he can anywhere else. If he takes at one year deal he could be looking to cash in big big big with that next contract right guys do. Do we think they signed somebody. Yes absolutely they have to. I think that they're going to and I think it's GonNa be Emanuela idling that way right now as well. If it's not odd but I do think you look at somebody in that one year. Prove young guy that babysits stick on a two day like before Expensive contract. I don't think you're getting Robert. Clint shack loss and kind of spending but Emanuel would be by league guys while all right. Let's go ahead and turn around and go to the draft. Let's go with favorite prospect at defensive. End doesn't necessarily have to be fit for the chiefs. Stir favorite defensive end prospect in this class Mattie go and I wrote about. Aj s recently. Eric Prydz I won't go into him again. Article on Arrowhead Pride. If you want to read what I think about him but another Guy Free Julia Bora and that name might sound familiar. Steve spagnolo coaches brother Would use the giants Jillian. Lock was definitely more athletic than his brother was. He's a very lean two hundred fifty two pounds six foot four nearly a third over thirty four wingspan. He's a big wall. Do It is explosive. He's very high. Cut Very Athletic. The issue with him on Phil. He kinda struggled to defend the run. He doesn't necessarily play the exactly most use. Federal Defensive Ends do and maybe this being hopeful kind of relying on the jeans or anything but Romeo I remember him coming into the League. He was a late bloomer. He was just about nothing in terms of strength or power we got the NFL by his second year he was exactly what Steve Spagnuola lights at. Defensively kicks inside and outside. I just wonder you don't get the same kind of boost. Julia Wards Power. Twenty seven draft over thirty four jobs really impressive. His athleticism is undeniable. I see a super high ceiling for a guy. That's close enough. So what's these federal? Likes very intrigued by what he can do in the NFL. I'M GONNA go with a guy that's probably a luxury Sam. Linebacker for the chiefs. That's Cullen Chase on out of him to Kahlon Chase on out of Lsu. We've got a first round grade on Jason. I think he's in our top fifteen and this dude is just absolutely ridiculously athletic. And he's one of the most fluid players ever seen playing as an outside linebacker he drops with Ab with unreal ease He can cover a little bit. He play a little bit off ball but he's got an exceptional i. He might have the best first step in this class. In fact I'M GONNA go ahead and say he's got the best first step in this class. He's bendy which I really typically coveted in the past. I'm having to go away for that. Now that the chiefs are utilizing these bigger longer. Stiffer defensive ends but I think the sky's the limit for this kid. And you know he's a guy that has a lot of versatility can be used in a lot of different ways but I think he's going to develop really nicely as a pass rusher because he's all the athletic traits. He's still a little bit under your fine there. He's gotta develop a better pass rush plan but I think as he gets more time and more opportunities to continue to develop his craft and all that. I think he's going to turn into a an exceptional player in a really Nice Chesapeake. Move Four for somebody. Oh my guy is all and Robinson out of Syracuse we. We went to the senior bowl. That was the first time that I've really got is and Alton Robinson I hadn't gotten a chance to watch his tape yet before we went out there and the first thing that I said when he took his very first rep. I turn to Kent and I went. That's a spags defensive. End Now he came a little short and his arms came in a little short so he doesn't fit some of that criteria but the way he plays the way that he plays with power and leverage he's got a good long arm and a surprising burst very surprising for a two hundred sixty four pound. Dude he really Kinda got after some of the tackles that I watched him..

"All right well as those interviewed two time Pro Bowler Jason Bob. And what was your favorite part of that your your former teaming. Yeah I said me Babylon was always we always had. I guess he had beef when everybody says I smoke with everybody so I I don't feel privileged that it was just me smoke with but You know we started the podcast and I call them scumbags because he he was you know he was. He was chip Humana. Manning was dirty but he played tough and he was. He's a football football guy. I mean he he just he loved the game he played it hard he he loved being one of the best lines yet yet. When I listen back to the interview he was like listen? You know whatever you want to be that day you can be that guy on Sunday An it's true to their sometimes and that's the hardest thing with fans when they meet the player like man. You're such a savage. You're so this this guy on the field when I see you you yeah big teddy bear. I'm on 'cause I don't WanNA walk around pissed the fuck all right twenty four seven. That's I just want to live that life But Bob and when he you got to jets we didn't know hotter I didn't know how to approach them and I didn't like them I do not approach him and I didn't know what to say to them. Because you know this this guy who is he was he was on my hit list so to speak. Whenever I had a shot to get a clean shot at him I was GonNa take it and obviously he had the same mentality? Yeah but obviously Once we landed on jets and I've watched them work and I watch higher pro-style game a high prices game and the game itself He's he's one of those guys. You like gladys guys. He plays with me because he plays hard. He respected game Shot of work every day. You know he wasn't those guy like you know. He wasn't a diva by no means he's a tough tough hard nosed football player and that's one of the things we didn't have enough of on the New York jets. We didn't have have those hardcore guys who you know what it is. What it is is just ball? He tried he washed. He tried to do a lot of things doing example but It just didn't work out but I wish you know he's. He's one of those guys. I wish was a steeler. Actually because he had that kind of greediness to them But I I love him. I have a lot of respect for he is a a really okay. Great case of It really depends on team fit when you get drafted US talking about getting drafted by the Texans who are in three four defense and he was always a four three end he was just more of a you know four point stance. Get off planning to widen the frame to be announced on linebacker. He never this. He necessarily wasn't out on our back right so him going to Houston To Houston and then go into Seattle and you know Can't sitting up in a few places before he land with Jim Washburn in Tennessee where he really started to see success and that was the first time he was playing the four three. And I think that was you know year six or seven evident. His career were And then obviously it took off from there with two pro bowls You know double digit sack seasons but you know it really takes the right fit and you know another good example of that is David Carr who you know we talked about in this interview with the Texans who Jason would have been a really good quarterback had they had he been the rate system. Had He gotten some protection because they didn't invest in the Office of line early on Really Interesting interview that in that case I love the story of him. Just you know taking a shot You and other guys you know the mentality of it. How he basically said the rules of engagement have changed? One's a guy takes a shot at him and he would he said he would go after guys. ACL's which something that. I don't think football players would readily admit a lot of people have bad taste right about Jason Babylon and you know when it comes to talking about him. There's there's some people like me. And he was a great team and he was busy day tough and he was others like Fosse that motherfucker now because he and he said he goes. I never started it but but if you started it I was damn. She'll go to finish darrow's him and you know he didn't really have bumpers if he if he was gonna find you and that's old school you know that's that's the that's the the game is so has surpassed ad in so many ways him in the mindset. Degrading is too tough that you know the mindset of that you know you fuck with me. I'M GONNA go I'm GonNa go find you guys aren't built like that no more. I don't even think there's I think there's still tough football players but The culture in which he was talking about that was China a universal around the league. You know what I mean. That's why the Joey Porter's You know the fighting before the game. That's that's kind of that culture. They it was. It was Super Macho Super Testosterone driven That's Kinda out the game that you don't see that no more so Sometimes I wish I will see it more because you know we'll you sit down and you hear more casual fan as they say talk about how much they enjoy watching college football rather than ineffable they really talking the competition level you know when in your in your tough player said he were agree. We too many times. I apologized But when you're when you you have that chip on your shoulder you're competing. That's that's that's the true spirit of competition and you see that more in a college level then the pro level for whatever reason so when you hear Jason Talk about man you know how how he was kind of hard on a young guys and but also was trying to teach him a lesson in how he would take his shots and he would do this. We do that. He's really talking about the the win at all costs mentality and you see that more like we just watched. LSU and and Slim standing us the whole college off Ofo Football playoff system. Those going at it they were they were they. Were fighting details off. You know for for the casual fan. If you'RE GONNA pay all these news is all this money. They want to see that every time there on the field and you don't see it so I don't know what it is but when you hear when I hear back talk like that. That's a guy who was. Just he was he was involved. He was committed. David has all adult. So that's competition so that's what you pay you know. That's why you get paid the Million Julian so you can be a warrior at your sport and Babs is definitely a warrior yeah Really good interview really enjoyed talking with them but We want to thank you guys again for another week Surf Therefrom Turf. We have some exciting things going on the road. This week we are. WE'RE GONNA go to mobile for the senior bowl and we're going to head down to Orlando for the proble we're GonNa have some exciting interviews. newsforguys moved forward and the off season. We're going to go over the draft Some kind of steps that Tibet Are involved in that with the combine for agency leading up the draft Talked to a few decision makers so we'll give you guys kind of behind the scenes. Look at what goes on in the NFL Front Office for a lot of different guys so We're looking forward to bring those to you but you know we're going to wrap up the season with some players So we will have some good interviews coming your way continue rock with us for champion Willie Cologne by Stephen Shea. "It at one time in two thousand ten. You're not with the eagles but I do have a question about that. They drafted Brandon grand this year. Who you that year? Who did play with Philadelphia is known for their cheese. steaks is and Brandon. Graham was a defensive end out of Michigan He was put on. I R I believe is a rookie year and from what I heard. He gained twenty five pounds of bad. Wait from just eating cheese steaks is that true. He he ate a lot more than A. Ah now become a food. The Hey man now still that should away your ninety day. He just he had an appetite. That's all I mean. He turned into a hell of a player but yeah we start. He picked up go BAPS he was calm. Another one like You know Fletcher like you know like Guy told me so. Mean to be so hard on them and we're like no this is. This is what he needs trust. You know this is. This is what he needs needs to be. TOUGHENED UP LOUIE LA. That has some that Michigan. You know everybody's a winner winter kind of thing so we had a way to shake off them so but even now he's you know he's now he's like if I talk to Maui like yeah man right of passage shop not those I gotta ask this in helped me with Does talks and when you look at the way played a game now you talk about you know as far as getting out to. The quarterback playoffs is moving around. What guy in the League right now reminds reminds reminds you of rounds reminds reminds them of yourself? You know what I'm saying. Who Do you see right now? That you think is like you know what he reminds me a lot of when I put it. I like the the the ended other last names Bosa. So Yeah Nick and Joe I mean just high motor guys. Go in every play. Just running dive and tackling. You know what I mean. Just just give it up. Give it all so after Philly in twenty eleven you go to star in two thousand twelve You are the Jaguars ars so something to ask about that. Is that you. I believe you weren't there for Justin Blackmon's or that was just in Blackman's rookie year. Who is the fifth overall? Pick pick the receiver Reports came out solid bucks fan. We picked seventh that year we picked fifth we trade with the Jaguars a report came out that the GM at the time Mark Dominik had spotted Justin Blackmon at this specific bar. I think it was the combine spotted him at the same bar every night. Just drinking by himself Obviously had a tough Rookie year in year after suspended. Four Games second year and then he became. Ineligible is on. The commissioner's Missioner's exemple. Has I think he's still on the But what was it like. It's his team on. You has gotten too little scrum in preseason in two thousand thirteen What was it like just with him being on the team and redesigned to rid The team of like a negative personality or was it just kind of a one one time flare flare up now. I mean I just give you a little bit back about me like even though I'm an asshole I have a big heart right For example my Wife when we first met her brother didn't graduate high school you know and everyone was kind of black sheep. Everyone's like You don't worry about him don't now he's his family. He's so I went to Michigan. Guy Doesn't packers shit. You come live with me. I'm not shabby man you know everyone is. You don't have to do that. But now the kids graduated -aduated can you know. I think he's probably engaged soon. GotTa Shit together you know so I always have a soft spot for troublemaker. I really was. I probably should have been a lot more trouble than I got in. And he's he's he said and Blackman's a good. It was a good kid but he's not Hollick. You know man will listen to you. We need to get you to get your shit tight because you're drinking every day. That's why the pull hamstrings you know. Because he was just dehydrated even drinking all day and the reason we got in the whole the field was because he was drunk on the sidelines. The REF and I'm like man I told Mojo on the. Hey would you see me. Get him out here literally carry them out of there you know and he uses trump. You know someone who's drunk. They're not make right decisions. And that was all fame man. We just just try to get his get his life in order and I don't know if it did ever gotten Back on track but yet he had to be immediate square waiting for football. I realized I was a preseason game but he was drunk during the game. Uh that means I mean it's a lot of people probably hit an in his Somewhat jarring but there are in bad and Bob I know you 'cause we come from those. There's a lot of guys who would drink before games and hours earlier like a shot till I get ready and go out. Well well I mean for me. It's drinking smoking weed before the game is really no different than not ready to do your job however when you're where you're her when you've been doing it for so long that's what you're accustomed to doing to play the game. So I've I've played with guys. You can walk by men. That guy smells like Goddamn Martini around. Walked by some guys who smell like a pound a pound of weed but however because they've had so much success and able to be where they're at currently are in a career it's Khanna Hana washed washed. Well he's just doing him into bass point is like yeah. He's maybe he may be doing him but he's hurting the team. Everybody has to be held accountable for doing their job. But you have to do your job and also uphold the team in That story does a shock. Because I've played with guys who I walked in the locker room like. Whoa oh you know? This guy doesn't know what the hell was he doing. And like everybody's live the nightlife but nightlife should never get in front of you getting paid what you should be doing or would you get paid for so so it's a it's troubling but it's a real story and his. I know Bob has our story. But there's a lot of guys who have tons of stories like that uh other guys on our team as well. Wow I mean as a fan yet the crazy part I've noticed about Is that retired. I had. I had a buddy that You got into the paint bills right and it got bad where he ended up stealing from the neighbours house and his wife called me and talking to the you know the cops and and say listen to send a rehab you know. Don't not get him arrested. And the historic Kinda got a little little public not to public and so when when a guy has reached out behaved in a bed there. Hey I was I down that rabbit hole. I hear it like I think that the for the guys who retired going through some shit..

"Sports dot com and shop now and now back to our interview with Jason Bateman. So we've asked us to do one or two guys that have been that Dream Team squad. is about a widely reported story. And if you guys cared about it but non the ASNA was a huge free agent signing for you guys. At that time he was the top Cornyn league the year before In his reported that he was aloof and wouldn't hang out with the team or eat lunch them and would eat lunch and his car car. So what were your thoughts on. That didn't matter at all or did you see him as like not trying to bond with the team. Well that that defense especially was And I I made I mean it's a nice way. It was like a prison yard right so if you came in there and you wanted to put your glasses on and tell us about some literature you read last night. Probably one one of gone over to and I think also the fact that he didn't want to cover one on one he always wanted over the top help really really rab locked into the wrong lane because listen you're making three million dollars you know year or whatever he was making lock motherfucker down and let the rest of us. Play that your job job you put you on the best receiver and you cover them. You know what I mean. Let us let us go in and never never went up never went down that way. It was always over the top stop coverage cover to stuff just like when he was in You know with the raiders so I think combination of you know his unwillingness to play true man and just being soft. You know just just didn't fit interest. I don't I don't understand how the general manager can spend any time with him and you know hey is he gonNA fit in here you know from a personality banned from how he plays like. We wanted to play one on one but he doesn't ever done that before so that was just you know parliament is fall. You know and part of it. was you know upstairs. Trying to put a square peg round hole as Egal was one of your favorite moments the plan for the organization my personal moment. I didn't it was a game. We were playing Up Nine York against the the giants and I had a strip sacked and the game where you know My teammates picked it up and start running down the talk been fellow. But there's a picture on the on the Bait the daily the Big newspaper up there. You know ally cry like face to face like you see me like blocking the ball out of his hands. That was. That was pretty cool moment. Yeah so you weren't with the Eagles I like you live. We're good friends. The same the same draft class right so you wearing your story about him from the The playboy American party but maybe not for the PODCAST podcast purview. Yeah we will let it at one time in two thousand ten. You're not with the eagles but I do have a question about that. They drafted Brandon.

"For the packers. It snowed a lot over the family. Flights were delayed From Right Muhannad so off. Now you're talking about you know the the show wife what you've got three kids now. She's strapped airport so in Dallas and handle at all it was horrible You Thought Dallas. I've never seen snow at all. I mean they weren't even laying down sought they were down sand And so literally woke. Oh cut more than in cars were spinning in the middle of the freeways and like sliding off the road so Dallas didn't do that well and it caused a lot of health to now only Austin both teams but for the city so There's a lot of different things. I player factor but this week in particular is all about travel. Find out how many tickets you're getting find out who's actually gone and then you've got to really kind of reset your mind and I got to win a game and so all that kind of happens along the way and didn't do you know they'll be enough. I Guess S. Pre Super Bowl Fan will you call them pep rallies and all that stuff. So it's usually I know When we landed in Tampa after media day I was just like over it as a community play already like I was just so over the whole? 'cause you know you're anxious and you want to get going so I know a lot of these guys. You Know Emmanuel Sanders. Anders has been here before because he went out. When I was steelers actually he went with Denver Denver to so he's going to be a guy that a lot of people going to lean on like how to do things and But this this is an interesting time. And it's don't get distracted is Miami is going to be popping down there. Oh yeah so a Lotta guys see photo offseason. Don't beat a guy to get caught in the club or at a strip strip a dis- dis- save it man to commit. What was it the one week I think Denver? The one guy got ended. Virginia Evanston just like just be smart. Man Don't get coordinator some. We had him on said that that like a lot of the guys were up most of the night dealing with that there was another guy even previous. I think it was the Denver Seattle There was a guy named caught doing something party of the Denver Seattle into thirteen. Yeah something happened. What he sent the guy home or some Some nonsense golden. Take on a fight with May alleged fight with Percy harvestfestival right. I Dunno it's this is what I tell a lot of guys like whatever. Do you WanNa do whenever you think you want to do how greatest it is when you do. It is going to be better once you win the Super Bowl right so to save it. Won't you win it. There's whatever partying you. Did you win the Super Bowl. No matter where you had to fucking that party is going to be way better. 'cause bull champion right. So we're talking pre-tape deep about an incident that you had in Dallas about missing curfew. What went on there all year? So the Tuesday we had 'cause usually when get down they treat it like the regular game we so we haven't Tuesday off. Most players have Tuesday off. This is like the week before the lead up or like the the pre bye week was like meeting. This is the AH the week of okay until Ben in a bunch of guys we all went out for dinner and we're eating having a good time and then it was like oh we got enough time time. Curfew was until like eleven thirty or something like twelve million that and we knew we had a like a light day on Wednesday. Really going to be mostly media will have glow burqas sweat and do what we have to do. But it wasn't. It was taxing days. We have practice week before. So you don't WanNa over practice guys before the game so we pretty much. I felt like as as a team we were kind of locked in and we go out Tuesday. Man God's arm food barbecue shipren Texas And then we go to dueling ruling piano bar in we had to do in Kano Bar and it is rocking. But it's not a lot of people's Kinda just us these locals and Mario snowing. No one so a lot of people weren't out so it was like this is perfect. Nobody's fucking with us. We're just having a couple of drinks listening listening to the good tunes. Listen to Billy Joel. Ownership Hell Yeah. We look up Danner. One o'clock every like Holy Shit so we rushed back to the hotel and it's also course media is like shocked around so we're kind of going through the back door we're fighting to get to our rooms. Of course the next morning been office. Burr Pittsburgh steelers miss curfew. They're not focused on a game. They're distracted gotTa Yatta Yatta got so it. It led to a lot of unnecessary BS. Put a shit. We end losing a game but it wasn't because we were hanging out of Doing Piano Park Dallas Texas sure All right as we got a really great interview this week with Jason Bob and two time pro bowler played across. The League is most known for his time with the Eagles and the titans Not really funny interview with him kind of admitted to being a little bit of a dirty player fats. There's no there's no way around. But he's he's a he was. If you want you team absolutely yeah Really good guy some really good stories that are shared But this interview is.

"SURFIN TURF podcast. We've got some real champion. Cologne was going on. I am Stephen. Che Really Excite Interview. Today we got two time pro bowl defensive end Jason Bobbin. You played for the Eagles. He played for titans he played for the Jaguars. Couple teams Really good player really great story A great stories Good talking with him but first I wanNA talk. We want to start with championship Sunday and the week that was forty niners. Packers was an absolute drubbing. Twenty seven nothing at halftime. We did have some intrigue in the Chiefs Titans game the titans went up ten nothing Looked like they had full control. But the chiefs offense you can only keep them under wraps for so long chiefs end up on the game thirty five twenty four. Willie what was your takeaway or your takeaways from this weekend. The chiefs in Tennessee game. I didn't get too excited because absolutely The week prior we watched Houston. Jump Up. Twenty one zip on on on on the chiefs and like I was an idiot because I took to twitter and I was like Oh my God. The types destroying achieves the chiefs are done pat. Him Home Sucks. Kelsey never heard of you five minutes later. The chiefs are up that mistake this weekend however I did think I was listening to cheat. Had A horrible run defense. All you have to make twenty nine to be exact. Zack so I was like I. I expect King Henry to go mad. I suspected him to fuck in rush for like two hundred yards and Ashley Dominate The chiefs but that didn't happen. I thought the chiefs showed up. There was ready to fight. They were physical at the point of attack It seemed at times. Yeah when you you know. There's parts of the game. We like man here coming into you know titans. They're really about the kind of just staying open and they really never kinda turned the corner. And you got a credit the chiefs man that secondary With the honey badger and an insurance in Debt D. line Those uses tell. They were like listen. This is all or nothing here. They played like it and so Thought there. I thought that she's really stood up to do that. You know they can score patchy Tim Holmes Retail you got Kelsey. You don't know what they can do offensively. Both the the story was. What was the Defense GonNa show up where they going to be physical? Because I mean for you you watch Derrick Henry Henry did against pats. You Watch what he did to Baltimore. How could you not think he was possibly going to run? L. Over to the twenty ninth ranked run defense of the Kansas City chiefs so But that's why any given Sunday man anything's possible and it was a it was a big day for the chiefs and I'm happy for Andy Reedmen. Last time he was in a super bowl with the eagles We talked about it. 'cause we had trae Thomas and Todd Harrison is getting Brian Westbrook. Last time. Andy Reid was super bowl field. You had to watch his quarterback the rope in the huddle And so The fact that he gets another chance at it and he's older you've been game room forever. Who knows what's GonNa Happen But I'm I'm happy. Read making. Yeah the titans are just not a team. That's built to play football from behind. Kansas City can get up on you so quickly quickly. The two thousand seven yard Patrick Mahomes run touchdown run towards a stretch of backbreaker for the evidence. Thirty five is for the titans. I forgot his name. Just tackle them. Why are you trying to strip the ball? I literally jumped out of my seat. I was at my bar and I was like. Hey tackle the fucker ling the half would have been over. Just tackle Michael Right. But they let 'em they let him in for six yeah But looking at the second game so we have the niners thirty seven. The Packers Packers Twentieth twenty-seven nothing halftime. It was seven thirty four and I said to myself. Why did they even show up in San Francisco so the story from this and we talked about last tweak the shift around the passing? The running obviously didn't work out for the titans they were behind are there were behind once. Kansas City gone from connect game kind of slipped out of their grass. But Jimmy Garoppolo through eight passes six for eight seventy seven yards is he. What the label? A Confetti quarterback guy that you can see women G. is a guy you can see winning the super bowl the super bowl. MVP is he that guy. I don't think so now. Can the civil absolutely but I don't think it's going to be because you look at the game. Yesterday I mean throws eight passes one of the two incompletions was nearly picked He does he's a he's a nice player I think. He's like a middle of the road quarterbacks and he can get you there they do have the defense that you're running in remote start at two hundred twenty yards and four touchdowns that's why he didn't throw a ball right it would dominate in Iran. You Yeah but if Ju- if you see the super bowl which the chiefs are favored by point and a half right now If you see Jimmy G. Having to throw the ball thirty thirty five times that's not a situation that favor San Francisco are you going off. Stats from what you've seen this year. Just seeing this year here no I think he's GonNa both times when the game for Niners I think if they're having to throw the ball thirty to thirty five times that is not good for them like that's not the the game centers deal saying Great Yours kiddle on that offers alarm. If if he for me when I look at Jimmy G.. He reminds let me of a lot of like breeze like breezes rhythm quarterback once he gets hot he gets a momentum on his side. He can kill you. That's how pitcher Jimmy Jimmy G.. Certainly as I do games. We're talking talking about the civil here. I know that she's defense. You know isn't the top three unit in the League. They have been pretty good under Steve Spagnolo But I just don't see Jimmy G.. At the highest highest level of competition being able to put a whole team on his back and win the game. I do and I think he's been able to watch brady do it for a long time. I think he understands the process. And it's obviously obviously I won't be foolish enough to there's there's there's one guy who watches you know he he had opportunity to watch brady. Do it Brady actually did it. So there's two different points of conversation but I also think you learn a lot from watching guy perform when the whole I mean he was there for when Brady came back against the Falcons I know I mean my point Wayne is like he's he. When you watch somebody performed that way and you watch out? He goes through his cheques. You Watch out. He prepared for that game. You Watch everything that Brady did and still come out successful mentally when you have that opportunity. I do think Jimmy G. strong enough to reciprocate or not reciprocate to pretty much. Do what Brady did if need to. I mean he you know I definitely think that he can win the Super Bowl and the niners can win this game. Absolutely actually think the niners will win this game. Okay but I don't think they're going to win. Because of Jimmy Garoppolo you know their defense is so good. They have such great running game. I think that you know they're special teams. Are I think that there are other factors that win this game for the nine. I do not give Jimmy G. Much chance that ultimate sublime and he is the quarterback among other side effects. I think if it has to come down with the ball and Jimmy jeans hand Jimmy and pocket and he has to make some big time throws I think you can get into it should be interesting interesting But one thing I wanNA talk about Youth Williams so this week This weekend there are no. NFL Football Games is the pro bowl of course And is the a senior bowl on Saturday but there is no NFL football. There's a buy week before the Super Bowl. Even two super bowls. I believe that both both those had by weeks in between or the. What is that like for players? I know you've talked to a Mike Tomlin saying you don't want to stay in your routine senior routine but what was that like for you. Did you guys travel down early curfew issues where you guys gone out. What are you guys doing this? I think the first thing is is not really a bio- week I mean it's just it's kind of preparation for the Super Bono. Everything that entails as far as this is a time where you're you know you're figuring out WHO's coming to the game you know. How many are you going to be buying? WHO WHO's travel you're paying for Making sure your wife or your lover or whatever you WanNa call them has a place to stay what hotel they're going to be staying and You know what's so you you pretty much kind of this filling your calendar In preparation for that week and as this week kind of dwindles down. They're going to try to get a Lotta guys healthy. You Start Looking Esam game film you start going through walk-throughs you really just this week is really about getting your body back. 'cause you either you had the first round bio you've only had two games in here you are. You're you land in the Super Bowl so I think the preparation for these guys is all right. Let's get healthy a stain shape. Let's take care. Give all the off the field stuff. Because that's that weighs on a lot of guys and you don't want to land in Miami still worrying about tickets usually don't have to worry about who you need to flying who'd he didn't make the trip and a lot of hard conversations you have 'cause shift for Christ sakes. This is the one of the big moment of your life. You know I mean this the Super Bowl. Oh you either graduated from college and all you made the Grad drafted or you know. There's things this is marquee moment so you want everybody who's helped you get to this point be you're part of the week have any tickets. Does each player typically have four. I think you see the two hour And then you have to pay For the rest okay I only have four people go at the time. It was my my mom my brother in the associated three people so three people and then everybody else They went to a bar and it washed again from a bar and then they dismissed me after the game. So it's a it's I tell you what it's it's it's a special moment man because people are family especially around. This time everybody talks about home. We had to fly down there in the team as a teen family-planning who's going on the team family Um So a lot of you guys out there were pieces. You may not have a side piece after this because you know it. It's it's it's a lot of things that go on and it's wild. Man is a while time. You see everybody have your Jersey on your family. Everybody's doing all the families aware guys Jersey so it's sweet especial- the Rooney's Did a great job really getting a lot of families down there It was you know now another hand.

"Back on the m b podcasts we peter king at happy to be joined by collaose campbell defensive end for the jacksonville jaguars i should say the saxon ville jaguars which by the way claes campbell basically is the reason they're called saxon ville he is set the singleseason sack record for the jaguars in his first year as a jaguar after a storied career with the arizona cardinals collaose welcome to the podcast thanks for joining me and lowpowered mercker firm so collaose i i i i'm been watching a lot obviously of the jaguars this year and i'm really kind of blown away with how the contributions particularly of you and a new cornerback aj boy a have made and it really catapulted you guys into the upper echelon of this league so what do you think you've been able to add to this team to make it of what what looks to be the d what's going to be a division championship season in jacksonville that would be nice should always there are a lot of work to do go uh but i think uh you know what i bring desserts a lot of experience you know uh some uh some some occurs man leadership you know uh bar honestly you know just uh give me some believe to a guy she though i think this team more we first started out low are you would i knew it was very talented other guys knew that they are town to after you know they're so like to be able to win we have to do some crazy earth's about us up to about obama worked for you know some different you know but then they would just put a hair down we brand dealer coaches there are a lot of us i mean we work i have to say i'm pretty sore worked ordered anybody else in the in the early in the other similarly go and then it becomes ounces this little guys execute their focus of discipline we have so much talent just did things out there i mean we take turns megaplayers up klay issue basically has uh you know you're you're in the middle of having what probably is going to be your best year uh in the nfl you entered this season um and i'm a might be off slightly but you entered this season having played uh at nine years for the arizona.

"Really but maybe it was his defence responsibilities he was one for eleven from the field but while all the other starters were minus sixteen a worse he was minus seven in so a he held up pretty well you did you have thoughts on this game dino last week when we talked about robert covington as the individual performance the week it was more of a defensive performance when he shut down cj mccollum and as head against cleveland washingtonboston i wanna see who he guards that's what i wanna see because the talk has charm ramp up of covington being the best defensive player in the league or maybe one of the top five best has a player in the league in a 6'9 guy that really is guarding to screw four mostly right now i wanted to see what they would do with him i was very shocked that a philadelphia opened the game with covington not guarding lebron he was guarding jr smith and ben simmons was guarding the bonn and the brandon how a super game uh but he watch that game you'll go back and see that cleveland got off to a pretty good start on the office of n but fifteen points on the board lebron scored thirteen of those fifteen points and assisted on the other bucket so the first half of that first quarter lebrun disc crushed ben simmons on the defensive end and it kinda set the tone for the game even though the bonded and go on to have a monster game in it did set the tone so i wonder if i win next time philadelphia's matched up with the cavs if a brown by think about going to covington to guard lebron james yes hasn't some coaches will take the best wing defender and not put him a lebrun if the plan is to double abroad and try to force.

"What about gouda walmsley radio show today i'm approaching live from the back end the defensive end and we're talking about the fact that the the game that i saw last like to to get to sell us prove that you know offenses mandatory to be in the game but defense wins the game when you get out there and start competing you competing against people that are really good when you never compete in your life and you're just the middle class uh person living the life of quiet desperation all those people you work with it against they're all arms they're all just middle class class people doing their job and they're not really aggressive and you don't have to be aggressive to stay in that game but when you get up there in the real world with the big boys he had to put on your big boy pants and play you've got to be a very offense at the person however what the rockets found out in the last couple of years is that yeah that brought to lot of offensive players into the game but they just couldn't get there in fact last year the incredible year 55 wins which is a you know a team record i think and um if it wasn't very close to it they just did a great thing except that they thought they could have got sixty wins coups fivegame to lauch is simple because they had no defense they could not even compete with the bigname teams because the bigname teams also have the ability to score it will but they have the ability to lock you down and so unlike most people life in i i look back to this where those in the health club business and in the body building business olympic lifting most people work on there franks than they leave their weaknesses alone will darrell maury the general manager for the rockets decided he wanted to win and so he figured he do it most winners do in most losers won't do is work on his weaknesses.

"That jumped out to me and i was disappointed in the last year because i thought they would be better at they finish thirty one of fifty one the minnesota timberwolves and the reason that i like all is one because of their coach dip tippytoe dump tippytoe who who would in force these defensive end an principles in all these the the functions of doing things the right way i that's what that's what they need because if such a young team and then i looked at their roster its age wiggins who was rookie of the year twenty two years old call it any towns rookie of the year he's also twenty two years old levin is twenty two years old chris done for whatever reason than play ally i couldn't take the minutes away from ricky rubio but maybe that happens not maybe they draft one this year with the number seven pig so they're getting they're getting a lottery pick again this year in which who knows who who knows they go point guard they go another big guy likely point guard but i feel like they have a roster it's not going to start peaking for at least another two or three years they're gonna win some games no baby forty next year i'm not be a playoff viable and the next two or three years real quick but i got if they're not a playoff team and three years i did not on the problem report is no yet the two young there you got to get a seven rate see they got a lot of town i i actually like your choice slow by but not they're not going to the they're not gonna none of not even a playoff team into a playoff viable so you get in the playoffs is one thing you know finish eighth claire you're you're the postseason making sure not they're not making any noise posey's got you is the better way to put it got the next two or three years but eventually they're going to get a vet some star vet whoever that may be at the time the paul george of right now um in thirty three years.

"After the first game i thought i don't gosh we have to we have to really get to think if you want to get going in the right direction but like if like after that first game i really feel like that with an eye opener for the single could not been after that i feel like it you know we've continue to move forward as a team on both on the authentic and defensive end what did you learn from that first loss but what was the difference first lost another next fourteen well first of all that first blast if i would nathan if it's a subban time and it's nice to see it is like your defense although not lawn but you know i think it was just a matter of but getting more game experience and more game experience we've got the better we've got you know the better we caught sell you know i i think it gives but for the matter get make sure rain in continuing develop our young kids because we have a freshman so they get need to get growing in a fake a groin i believe that we're going to keep getting better you know you that game today against so wayne state what's the scot report for when waynes going to play and very good to three gone kind of america take so we're going to have to handle that we're not going to be able to we're going to have to value to basketball you can't turn the ball over against it and they're not going to really i think of playing very well and they share the ball very long they execute spirit that's very well they're very physical that a man we're going to need to match that physicality and yeah we can do that i think it should be a a tripping game watch tonight talking with carla nelson.
