"Back here on the gsm see fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're gonna do the over under sigua and talk about the players on the minnesota vikings and talk about whether or not i think they will eclipse their fantasy. Totals from last year. Be around the same numbers or be below their fantasy totals. So let's get right into that so starting off with the quarterback position of the vikings. You got kirk. Cousins kirk cousins last year had a really good season. Statistically forty two hundred yards passing thirty five touchdowns thirteen interceptions and his fantasy. Totals is fantasy numbers finished at three hundred six point two so i think he's going to be below those numbers this year. I think it's going to be hard to replicate that because these numbers are very high. I don't think he's gonna get thirty five touchdowns this year. I think he can throw close to thirty. I don't think he's going to replicate what he did. The last year. When it comes to his touchdown passes. I think he could get close to four thousand yards while he got forty two hundred forty two hundred sixty five last year. He could probably close to that again. But i think it'd be a little bit below that interceptions i feel like will be about the same. Fumbles maybe try to work on that. But overall numbers i think will still be solid this year i think however they will be below his fancy totals from last year so i do think he'll be under that three hundred six point to point total so moving onto the running back position. You got dalvin cook last year. On three hundred twelve rushing attempts he rushed for fifteen hundred. Fifty seven rushing yards. He had sixteen rushing touchdowns. He finished with three hundred. Fifteen point. Eight fancy points. This is going on the. Espn numbers half pr. I think he is going to get below that. I still think he will have a solid season. He's going to be for the most part. The second running back taken off the board and a lot of drafts. And i do think that that will continue but i definitely do think this is going to be a point total. That is going to be hard to match. And i'm thinking to say that he's gonna be under that. Also dalvin cook does tend to miss a game or two during the year and i have a feeling that that's going to happen again this year and it's just based on the position he plays so i'm going to say that he is going to have great season and i think a lot of people would agree with that but i do think he's going to blow his fancy totals. I do think that it's almost a guarantee that he's going to miss at least one or two games during the year. So that's my thoughts on alvin cook. Then we could talk about their other running back. alexander madison. Their backup to alvin cook last year. On ninety six attempts he rushed for four hundred thirty four yards and two touchdowns eight point four fantasy points. I definitely think that that's probably around the total that he'll get maybe a little bit above that if he sees an increase in playing time. I do think that you know. Overall the vikings are going to be a better team this year. And i think they are going to. You know maybe wanna give alvin cook a little bit more of a break. In between if he's you know going off because obviously you wanna keep them fresh and you don't want him to get injured like i just said that he could be guaranteed to miss a game due to injury. So you know you have alexander. Madison run a little bit more than he has keeped. Alvin cook fresh. So i'm gonna say he's going to be around his fantasy totals. I think he'd get more than two touchdowns this year. However rameses going be around that fantasy total eighty point four maybe a little bit above maybe a little bit below but i would say around that total that he had last year will probably get that this year. Espn has a projected at one hundred. Four point six so they're probably anticipating that either cook gonna get hurt or we're going to see an increase playing time for alexander madison. We'll just have to wait and see on that. So that's my thoughts on the running backs for the vikings so now moving onto the receivers of the vikings. I will talk about justin jefferson. He's coming off a season that you know. It was really good for him as a rookie last year looking at his statistics from last year. Eighty eight receptions on one hundred twenty five targets fourteen hundred yards exactly seven touchdowns finished with two hundred thirty point. Two fantasy points. I think is probably going to be under that this year slightly. I still think he's gonna be great. He's going to be one of the top wide receivers taken off the board. I think he's going to be a top ten top twelve fantasy wide receiver. But i do think he's going to be slightly under the fancy totals that he had from year ago. But i still think he's going to be really productive gonna be a solid wide receiver one for your team and yeah definitely a guy that you should be looking for. In targeting in your drafts. Expect him to have another great season so then moving on to another receiver on the vikings. You have adam feeling last year. Seventy four receptions one hundred targets nine hundred twenty five receiving yards and fourteen touchdowns and he finished a two hundred seventeen fantasy points. I definitely think that fourteen touchdowns very high for him last year. So i'm definitely going to expect that you're going to see a reduction in that. I don't think he's gonna match fourteen touchdowns like he did a year ago. I do think that he'll still get a decent amount. But i don't think fourteen is realistic this year. I still think he'll be a productive receiver. Definitely a guy that kinda sees his fantasy value diminish a little bit from years past now with the emergence of justin jefferson. You know definitely is starting to get a little bit older. But i think he's still a productive fantasy wide receiver. I don't know why everyone is just not as high on deal. And as they have been i guess. Yeah because he's getting older because he's dealt with injuries and justin jefferson. Looks like he's going to take over and take a lot of targets away from deal in which you know that happened last year. And it's going to happen this year but i guess people just aren't high on dealing as they have been and i'm a little confused by it. It's just i. It's very weird that like everyone's just so turned off by feeling. I mean i just named reasons. Why but it's just kind of weird. Why you know feeling is dropping like so dramatically because now when you look at the vikings offense they don't have a number three wide receiver. I mean they did bring in keelan cold but how much is or sorry. I've been saying keelan coal. They brought in dede westbrook. Now that i'm looking at this robinson keelan coal like this entire time. I think he and kohl's on the jets so i haven't seen cold is entire time and actually dede westbrook. That's their number three wide receiver. Don't think he's really going to factor in taking targets away from the jefferson. He does add another weapon to the offense. But i really don't think he's going to cause problems for justin jefferson worth so going back to. I think it will be under fourteen touchdowns. I think he's gonna be slightly under his fantasy towards from last year but i still think he's going to be productive wide receiver. I think he could still be a solid wide receiver to for your teams or if not that definitely affleck's option so that's my thoughts on adam feeling so let's go to dede westbrook last year one reception on one target for four yards and he finished with negative. One point one fantasy points. I think he's going to get above that and if he does play of course we just play above that negative one point one. Is you know that you could definitely beat that so yet. Don't really have to go into more detail on that. I was gonna talk about chad baby. But he's on. I r so i'm guessing you know he's not really going to have an impact on the team early on and really isn't going to have an impact in fantasy because he's going to be or would be the number four wide receiver so i'm not going to talk about that. I'll just just stop talking about the wide receivers for the vikings so earth smith. Junior gonna be out. The entire season is really unfortunate because this was a guy that was very high on. I thought he was going to have a great season. Because the vikings like i talked about really didn't have a number three wide receiver. They bring in dede westbrook. But even if the even with irv smith junior and dede westbrook on the field the same time i think kirk cousins with target irv smith junior lot more and also earth smith. Junior was a guy that they used a lot and targeted a lot in the red zone. So that's definitely going to be something. That is going to be missed for this. Vikings offense and it's just a reminder of how injuries are just a part of the game Stinks injuries stink..

"Excited about daryl henderson given the package that they gave up to get sony michelle and given how well sony michelle played last year little worried that a goal line work is going to end up going to sony michelle and maybe a decent amount of base work too and so you know i have a bunch of henderson in best ball like the fifth round and stuff like that from the immediate aftermath of camakers injury. I'm getting a little bit worried about it. Now savvy my biggest takeaway. That i think. They're going to go to some type of timeshare between sony and darryl henderson what did you see out of the rams live draft that i did At this restaurant down the street data was making fun of me for drafting sony. Michelle like in in the eighth round of a fourteen team we'd I don't think that that's a bad pick. You you got a guy that has a chance to lead the rams in in rushing. td's potentially carries you know. Be the lead back in in Probably top twelve at worst offense possibly like top eight offense. I think san antonio michelle is a good pick. Okay go to the vikings and this one hurt. We talked about the smith injury a little bit last week but now we know he's done for the season i mean they're really thin playmaker number. Three wide receiver is going to be like dede westbrook or something like that. Like it's a mess. And i think they were planning on using irv as number three wide receiver. Some leaving tyler. Conklin in in line now. They're going to have to ask a ton at tire. Conklin they add. Chris heard in. They have branded dylan there as well. I don't know how much those guys can give them. Any takes on the fallout from irv injury for you and everything else on the vikings. Well i think that it kind of reinforces how narrow the target distribution for you know in In minnesota is with adam feeling and justin jefferson just like way up at the top not very much competition for them at the same time. I kinda think the tyler conklin you know in in any of these tight end premium leagues like. He should be rostered in all of them he could end up playing a ton of snaps seventy percentile athlete He had a decent Receiving track record In college and he had forty or more yards and three the final in three of the vikings final four games. So i mean there are some to be had there. I think you know he's going to be worth consideration in those final four games. When cairo off was out last year tyler conklin had a target thirteen fourteen percent which is pretty solid for a late round tight end tight end might get eighteen nineteen twenty percent obviously the waller and the kelsey types are up above that but yeah i mean i think that tower confidence definitely find as late round dart. Throw now for sure. N- orleans i mean there's so much going on with new orleans i guess the takeaway for me. I need to own that. I was too low on alvin. Kamara for much of the summer the way it ran out for alvin kamara with michael. Thomas getting hurt jameis winston winning the job latavius like the team going south or souring on the tavis are all good things for alvin kamara. In at this point i mean it's hard to argue with alvin kamara as a number three overall pick in fantasy drafts. I obviously was low on him and did not get much alvin. Kamara hardly any until maybe the last week ten days when this run out happened. But there's been other supplement with the saints to jamie obviously winning the job market. Has calloway coming out of nowhere to emerge at the number one white out for this team. Takeaways on the saints heading into the season and james. Obviously you don't want the starting job. And he earned it. I mean he showed up. I've never seen him. Look that in shape you know. Got the surgery you know he. He played really well in the preseason. He showed obvious. Rapport with marcus. Calloway but i still think that they're gonna use tastes hill. A decent amount. I mean they don't have playmakers beyond alvin kamara and maybe marcus callaway. They know they're going to need to manufacture offense and they can do that tastes hill. Yep for sure giants takeaway for me. It was pretty clear on their promise and over deliver with saquon barkley health. They went around telling the media telling anybody who will listen. Well saquon might sit out. We don't know we don't know if he's going to play. We're taking one day at a time in the ends dude. Had eleven months plus to recover from an acl and looks like he's going to be perfectly fine. Now may be a little bit at the beginning of the season. Especially because i believe they play the thursday night game in week two so we only have four days rest. Yeah i think he could be easing a little bit but generally speaking. I think the health concerns on saquon were over blown. That's my takeaway on the giants. I could go on about the mess. They made with various tony. But that's a story for another day. He's not going to be relevant at least early in this season. Takeaways for you on the giants seven well. We hidden diesel chattanooga in the discord where. There's a lot of people in there having discussion. I think that definitely if you're in each subscriber jump in the discord Someone brought up at sterling. Shepard might be a little bit underrated in. He has had a positive run out here throughout this route train. Cam every ingram is not going to be playing indefinitely Kenny golladay barely practice in training. Tony might come out the gates only being like a kick returner You know and then if you read the the giants be writers and giants you know b. writers general they're not projection people. You know they're the you have to take all of their statistical projection with a big grain of salt. But if you re down. They're predicting sterling shepherds gonna lead the team catches and that should surprised. No one and this is a guy that i mean in recent drafts. I mean. I've seen seen him going in like the sixteen. Seventeen round on my. That's a good pick there. That's a really really good. Pick for guy that they could catch. Eighty balls yes. He's not would not surprise me. I mean someone in the discord brought up that he was underrated. and i. i agree wholeheartedly. I i was too low on him in the top one fifty. I think that he should have been in the top one fifty. Yep okay eagles. As we go down i ninety five devante. Smith is the story for me. I mean everybody around the eagles things that devante smith is going to lead this team and catches and targets this year. Of course the underweight but highly highly highly productive rookie out of alabama. Little bit sharon ended with jalen hurts going on there as well and yeah. I mean commission for targets guys. They have walking's erz is still there. Goddard greg ward still gonna play jalen rieger but i think devante smith is the guy that everybody is most excited about. And i'm really excited to see. Devante smith go up against this falcons secondary on sunday. We'll talk about that more on friday night but yeah i think devante smith has a chance to surprise people for sure this year. What he got on the eagles evan. Well i mean there was a one point like early on or at least i entering training camp where it looked like the eagles had like five viable running backs and it looked like they might keep four. They wound up. Only keeping three. And i think that that is good news for miles sanders now. The other guys they cap boston. Scott kennedy gain well better receiving backs than mile sanders. But i don't think we ever had a bit. You know big reception hopes for mile sanders this year because playing in the same backfield as a As a dual threat quarterback. Who's in jalen hurts. Us more likely to take off than to check down. I'm but i think that miles carries mile sanders is going to dominate..

"Extension has not participated in eighteen drills off season as the talks continue he attended otas and minicamp in training camp participated in meetings and individual drills but has not done any hitting while waiting for the contract extension to get finalized Mike tomlin steelers head coach. This quote. i remain optimistic that something's going to get done from a deal. Perspective that aside. I'm expecting him to practice tomorrow. that was from labor day talking about today. I'm proceeding with the assumption that he's going to practice tomorrow. That's kind of the approach i'm taking. He's missing time due to obvious reasons. But like i've also mentioned over the course of his of this team development process. I'm focusing very little on those. Who aren't working for whatever reason Not working. I tend to focus my energy on those who are so. The bengals have their own issue with jesse bates and the steelers have. There's with tj watt so That is as that. We'll see we'll see if the sort of arms race there in which team gets Dies sign i if at all and then of course overall the steelers have a clean bill of health her behind the steel curtain heading into week one against the bills which is a very very tough match-up initially so They need to be as healthy as possible. This this this is gonna be a tough one for him. So they they play steph onto it assaulted defensive lineman anthony mcfarland junior and zach banner on injured reserve. The steelers were hopeful to have everyone who was on the fifty three man roster healthy available to play in buffalo sunday so they are in pretty good shape overall. I think also. I mean the bengals have had their share of injuries there. They're in decent shape in terms of injuries at this point. Yeah trey wayne's josephus side those hurt but there were other times when i mean it was you know just gino atkins last year. Aj green the year. Before the i me it's just a mess so that's It's seems like pittsburgh's going into buffalo in good shape with everything there now. We're going to transition quickly to the nfl news. This is going long but we've got. We've had a lot to get to in a lot to talk about. This is the minnesota vikings and they released their week one unofficial depth chart. So i will share this here. Let's go down here. of course. The starters kirk cousins callum on the rookie is the backup running back. Alvin cook and madison is the backup there. Cj ham is the fullback wide receivers adam theline jefferson justin jefferson k j. Osborne amir smith are set the rookie there and dede westbrook a guy that maybe some people thought would be signing with the bengals at some point did not In free agency. So that's where things are their offensive skill positions. Let's go down to tight antilock. Conkland is their starter with the backups. Brand and dylan chris. Hurn ben elephants. They went pretty heavy at tight end. Light running back tackles reshad hill brian. O'neill dare saw in brandel dare has been dealing with some some injuries stuff. I believe So look i had someone. You guys were Asking me a little bit of. What do i make of the vikings in you know what what's going on that you see reshad hills getting a start over. Dare saw left tackle brian. O'neill blake brand also rashaad hill from what i understand. There's there's been some issues but He's capable it's it is i mean. Look that's that's a high pick for them to dare sauce sitting on the bench. So i mean they're having their issues to as cleveland was a guy i liked He's the starter at left guard. Bradberry was another guy liked recently And then only yudo. I looked up. tim up a little bit and just seen what guys and gals covering the minnesota. Vikings said about him he was a guy that kinda had been struggling a little bit in and all kinds of different things and then all of a sudden this year and he has looked like a completely different player and kind of ran without right guard starting spot and you see why it davis was another guy we you know. We all liked as well. The draft process talked about a lot. So you just kind of took it and ran with it so there are some names on here. The tackles the starting tackles are definitely lesser. Known brian o'neill in rashad hill. But they're interior cleveland bradberry. Yudo our names. It should be somewhat familiar. Yudo again was a guy that would you know there. A lot of huge expectations for him but he has played from my understanding pretty well in training camp for minnesota and took over that that spot there so On defense you've got daniel hunter Dj want him weatherly they resigned everson griffin and then they drafted patrick jones this year so griffin in there A guy that they had us out there laughed in the game. He kind of had some not-so-flattering words with For kirk cousins in terms of his play months ago the now he comes back so it's all interesting that works out. Michael pierced alvin tomlinson And then they've got sheldon richardson as a backup defensive tackle on this team and then you've got old friend nick vigil starting at linebacker Obviously some familiarity there with or at least there is there are traits. There that Mike zimmer likes out of out of vigil and so you've got. Anthony barr and eric hendricks guys who have been very good for a number of years at linebacker spots and then vigil. You've got blake lynch troy die another Another guy that was on and off the bengals roster for awhile. Chaz surat ryan connolly And then you've got the corners. Patrick peterson ba- freeland. Mackenzie alexander back with minnesota. After being in cincinnati last year kris boyd harrison hand cham dance ler On on the team here. so Harrismith xavier woods. Josh medalists and cameron bynum as the safety so a lot of familiar names. And that's kind of to be expected a little bit. With the mike zimmer connection but that's kind of a little bit of what the minnesota vikings depth chart in their starters and whatnot will look like on sunday as they take on the cincinnati bengals. There are some weaknesses on that offensive line to answer one of those questions that we received earlier in terms of minnesota by. There are some vulnerabilities. But it's not something that you know. It's like a complete total weakness. They have spent a lot of draft capital and sometimes to no avail to try and fix that offensive line. and so they're they're rolling with that christian. Dera saw their hypoc not suiting up at least at this point as a starter. So we'll see what happens there but it seems as if there are some areas particularly potentially the tackles that could be exploited if trey hendrickson ends up playing while if hodgson's up being more than just a preseason hero if sam hubbard gets in there and continues to play well we'll see we've got kind of a an interesting. What is the most intriguing battle at viking camp that you are watching right now. Oh man. I wish. I had a more exciting answer for you but all the starters are basically figured out for the vikings so I was watching the right guard position. I know that gets the blood pumping. But they've kind of decided on the start of their that's only hoodoo wide receiver three It seems to be a competition. That's been heating up That's between cagey osborne. Dede westbrook who hasn't been able to have like a full complete practice yet. You still recovering from injury Embarrassment marsat. Who's a rookie there. So that's an interesting battle linebacker three. That's all i got for you. I'm sorry it's quite all right. What is i. Don't know if you get much feedback on this. But mike zimmer's approach to the covert in nineteen vaccine and how open. He has been how vocal he has been bringing in a specialist. Dr to answer questions and then obviously the quarterback situation and kirk cousins. And what he's gonna do or not going to do with the vaccine. How big of a story has been on the ground with the vikings something that you know on the beat that we talk about every so often mostly because it's inherently interesting subject And obviously there's some tension between the coaching staff and some of the players. I mean kirk. Cousins isn't the only high profile viking who has resisted calls to get vaccinated. I mean harrison. Smith leader the defense M feeling we know how important he is in that locker. Room dalvand cook. I mean it's a lot of players and a lot of high profile positions. I and it's frustrating. The coaches but i think between the players in the locker room. I don't think it's an issue yet if it becomes an issue during the season if somebody has to lose a game check because i think that suddenly you know tensions will appear but in terms of like among the players i. He doesn't have digs again Yeah right but he's got dealing. Who had almost a thousand yards last year. Dalvand cooks an excellent receiver of the backfield. Forty four catches added dede westbrook. Maybe he can do a little into this minnesota offense and and five or six years cousins has played in every single game except for one and he signed attorney. All i'm saying listen you off. Iris will someone explain to understand that. Say it's gonna play in every game again five last six years. He's gone for over. Four thousand fifty yards and he's missed just one game. I understand the buyer situation. But i'm banking doesn't guess. The thing is sal. I mean if harry can avoid the virus gets boring worrying but we have a. I don't know. I don't know what the skit other thing about cousins again. His numbers are pretty good. But is there another quarterback that gets yelled at by his receivers more than kirk cousins. Now now not at all. That was that was also digs. Two years ago plots digs did that plenty to him and is since he left minnesota and digs digs ended. Up feel is always pissed off. Jefferson was even pissed off last year. It says something about a guy issue with that team is a chemistry issue. A what darren kirk cousins. Let's do this kirk cousins. What's going on a does. I'm going to bring this back to reality here Devante adams most touchdown receptions eighteen last year at five two thousand nineteen but thirteen in two thousand eighteen whenever he's around thirteen hundred fourteen hundred yards. He's right up there with double digit touchdowns. I love him. I mean obviously if he puts up eighteen again. He's right in there. And those plus eight fifty odds are ridiculous. I also think he catches easy touchdowns. He catches the two yard touchdowns where he's yeah. Barely paul over. The you know not going not going for the the pylon necessarily but just like reaching the goal line and and it goes in like four like easy gimmes right there for touchdowns. Four two six of those. I like him. For most touchdown receptions plus eight fifty poly. Can you like them. Also receiving yard category guys take almost yards this year. South thirteen to one. You know which receiver led the league last year in yards per game davante adams adams. He wasn't the first because he did miss two games but he averaged ninety eight point one yards her game. He's still by far and away. Aaron rodgers favorite receiver right. There's really there's like davante adams and then is like a gap and then a four or five other guys that he he'll throw the ball to but adams's by far and away the number one receiver on the team. They have great chemistry. Like i said you led the league in yards per game last year if he plays a full complement of games a shirt that could get us at thirteen to one. I love it. Yeah i think the odds are high because he goes against decent defenses. This year goes against jamal. Adams and other atoms for seattle goes against the rams defense. But i still like it. I think he could beat up on enough teams to get to you know sixteen touchdowns fourteen hundred fifty yards right in there. I brother bry taking. Yeah this this makes sense but is whether by the way partly kid. It's a weird hotel room is. He's got a fireplace but terrible wifi. Mccoo sticks this really really weird right but the computer. But i'm gonna go. I really like i do like this on. All i'm going to go. Jared goff most interceptions at twelve to one. So what do you need from a quarterback to hit this right. You either need an old veteran that you'll just never a place or a team that has no second option. So when you look at the lines they have no second option quarterback We've seen how bad in the past lines have been with their backup cents but if golf stinks so what. They're likely in the market for the top. Pick next year right the top. Qb in the draft rattler or whoever it is up so who cares again. Obviously dan campbell cares but who cares as a as a lions fan if you start off really poorly who cares But that being said gov forty one interceptions over the last three season. that's with. Sean mcveigh If i guess the only thing if you have any worries it's his accuracy in he may just so badly overthrow defenders that he he missed interceptions but I think this is another one you know. He's playing seventeen games. He could easily have seventeen at twenty interceptions. that's for sure. Yeah you're right. I'll do the type of guy that they're gonna bench because what the hell they care so anyone's gonna tank it's Yeah who hawaiians. Who they they talk about him. Not even starting anyway. "And we're back here on the gs mc fantasy football podcast for the third segment of today's show. I'm going to be doing my position. Rankings for the teams in the nfc north regarding fantasy. So let's get right into that so starting off the team. That finished in last place last year. The detroit lions and the lions have gone through a lot of changes. They now have a new quarterback. Jared goff they did the trade with the rams. The swapped quarterback stafford going to the rams and golf going to the lions. Have a new head coach. They lost some firepower on offense with in regards to marvin jones and kenny golladay. So this is going to be a different team this upcoming season and they're not going to do very good this year. They're going to be a rebuild. Though i like. I've been saying over the past couple of weeks. I do like the dan campbell signing a lot more each day and i feel like he definitely is going to provide the culture. Change that the lions do need. But i think they are going to be in a rebuild. So yeah so looking at the position ranking so i'd probably have to put their defense last. I think a lot of people of course are going to stay away from their defense. Of course they do have some playmaker young players that you know we're going to continue to develop and hopefully get better for this rebuild but i think that you know the defense is going to be one of the worst in the league. Probably so say their defense is probably going to be a last in terms of the position. Rankings regarding fantasy. So then after that i would probably have to say. It is the quarterback position and it. It really has to do with. Jared goff now. Jared goff has proven to be a solid quarterback in the nfl. But that is in large part to do what he's had to surround him with. You know he's had sean mcveigh's head. Coach said a great offensive line. A great running game with todd gurley for the first couple years of his career. And then you had robert woodson cooper cop you know as well and you had some good tight ends to so now you go into a situation where you don't have that you have a weaker offensive line. The andrea swift is a good player. And jamaal williams. You know what i think. He's going to do well in his role to so they got a nice little bit of a one to punch their You know but the wide receivers. I mean persad perelman and tyrone williams is definitely a downgrade from especially since daryl williams was injured for the whole year last year. You know. it's definitely a downgrade from cooper robert woods and of course they did draft the wide receiver seeing brown. So they do have that. But you know they also do have tj hodkinson. But it's just. It's not the same. And i think jared goff is going to struggle. I am hoping that he. I am pulling for him this year. I really hope that he does well in his role. But i just don't think he is. But we'll have to wayne say so then after the quarterback spot i'm going to have to put their wide receivers. I just feel like you know again. The wide receivers it. It's very spotty tyrone williams you know in twenty in twenty nine thousand nine was pretty. Good with the raiders You know so. I think you definitely help out the receiving core and think rashad. He can help out as well. But i i just don't think they're going to have. The same level of impact is more of jones. Kenny golladay would in this offense. And especially because i don't think jared goff is going to have the level protection protection that he had in l. a. And we've seen how jared goff is when he's under pressure and he is really bad. He could be really bad at times so i like that. That's what's going to be the problem and you know. They draft pennies sewell. You know and that's definitely going to help but how much is going to help really You because again. Jared goff is not a good quarterback under pressure. You know so if the offensive line holds up then it's a different story but you know i just feel like that's gonna really hurt this offense. A lot is because jared goff is not under pressure so yeah the receivers and then i would say tj hodkinson would come next. I just feel like he's going to be the top target in this offense. I i feel like jared goff you know when he has a good tight ends you. That's a security blanket and we saw that with higby and gerald and tj. Hopkinson is a very talented tight end. And i feel like because he's really the established player on this offense one of the few established players on this offense because there's a lot of new pieces coming in you know i. I just feel like you know. Jared goff is gonna find him as a security blanket and he's going to be his top target so i i would probably put him at number two in terms of position. Rankings tight end spot then. I would say the running backs. I would say you know because you bringing in now jamal williams as i said i think it's a you know an underage combo between him and swift. You know in swift. When he was healthy he produced. You know he. He definitely produce at times in know. So i definitely think those guys you know they can be productive and they will probably be the best position group in terms of fantasy you know out of the rest on their teams because they i think they will generate the most points you know because the wide receivers are going to be inconsistent golfers. I think not going to be that. Good this year but will say and you know hopkinson. I think it's going to be the top target. So you know we'll we'll see what happens. But yeah that's my position. Rankings regarding fantasy for the detroit lions so moving onto the next team team that finished in third place last year. Was the minnesota vikings now. I expect the vikings to be a much better team this year. I think there's no question about it. So i would see the tight end. Spot is going to be coming last in terms of the position rankings. Now i think earth smith junior is going to be an underrated sleeper going into the draft. You know for fantasy in. Oh i definitely think he could be possibly the number three option you know. Now the vikings they did bring in dede westbrook so maybe that kind of changes things a little bit. But now the kyle rudolph is no longer there. Smith junior is the guy tight end. And i and i think he's definitely going to increase in value..

I thought he was done with all the off the field stuff and just him being so disgusted with what the texans have done over the course of the past couple seasons now that he's supposedly going to training camp and he may be starting quarterback this year. I mean that changes a lot because he is arguably a top three quarterback in the league and if he does play this year he's gonna put a really big numbers and he increases the draft stock for guys like brandin cooks and the texans just traded for anthony miller who played previously played for the bears wide receiver. Got him got randall. Cobb you have kiki cutie. You have these guys. And then you have. That loaded backfield with philip lindsay. David johnson mark ingram. So if the shawn watson comes in and is quarterback this year texans. Offense is going to put up points one hundred percent. They were a hundred percent to put up points. They're not they're still not going to be a very good team but they are definitely going to put up points now again. This is this is a little bit of an overreaction because you know it just came out he you know and i can't. I can't even believe that. There's a possibility that shawn watson can play. 'cause i really to be honest with all the off the field stuff and everything like that. I did not think there was a chance that he was going to play this year. And now he's possibly going to be playing this year and well they will not even that but he's going to be showing up to training camp so that's just a small step in to you. Know him possibly playing. Well let you start with where you want. do you want to. You have a rebuttal to that top ten. Do you think that's a little crazy for him to say gay and bolton or what do you think about that. you know. it's crazy. Sounds crazy at this point. Because they're so unproven. And the history of this chiefs linebacking core in the way that the chiefs staff works with. Linebackers has been so frustrating for fans to watch. Sometimes the players that we think are good. Don't get a sniff or don't don't get the snaps you know from the coaching staff. And there's not always an obvious answer for it. So the way we see versus the way the coaches see it so even if both these guys are ready in our mind and and we see flashes from an camp doesn't mean the both of them are even going to start so throwing all that aside and saying in a world where the coaching staff agrees with us and these guys develop on schedule and both of them are on the field together and the really playing up to expectations. They are in the mold of where the nfl is going when it comes to linebackers and i hate to draw this comparison but it it's a theoretical comparison to the tampa bay linebackers of a labonte. David white those two players can can run. They can hit. You know they can cover. And there are a different breed and they really caused the chiefs a tremendous amount of problems in the super bowl. So ken gay. And bolton be the chiefs version of that yes. That's the thing i actually think that's a i know you. It is a it is a kind of a silly comparison writer or you know an stretch comparison. But i do. There's a base to it and there's a foundation to in the sense that labonte david is an athletic linebacker but he isn't known for just being you know super fast super speed like his counterpart white. He's really smart. And a really good run defender and can excel and coverage as well. Just being an intelligent player. That's what you hope nick. Bolton can turn out to be devon white like. I kind of mentioned that speedy playmaker type. That's going to be blitzing a lot. That's going to be. You know a guy that they don't you know put in man on man covered but you know put in in coverage situations where you know he uses athleticism to take stuff away in the flat and all that kind of thing at a really gay. Maybe wait until we see them all on the field together before we put them in the in the hall of very good But i is certainly something to watch and it would be very exciting to see those guys on the field. "Slander is the only thing that i can call it on with. Mccoll hardman it. Demarcus robinson and i listen. I'll i'll say there is some fairness to what they have shown thus far in their career. But i do think especially with hardiman is young and i don't think that he's really had a a real fair moment to come in and say all right. This job is mine. I know exactly where i'm going to be. I do think he's had to learn multiple positions and a lot of different things to get on the field and its that play making ability that he has is there. He is a big play waiting to happen. And i guess just like you believe so much in legit serious need. I think that's where i am. In hardman. And i think that explosive playmaking ability to go along with the play caller and the person throwing the ball and never ever will coverage be slanted his way he will always be able to to go against weaker corners at least the teams weaker corners and and probably one on one coverage. And i gotta. I gotta see that he can complete. He will completely be a failure. I just think there's just too much around him and robertson to like robinson he just needs to be solid. My issue with nicole hardman is that he is shown through two years in the nfl. Yeah he's faster than everybody on the football field except for tyree kill. But that's all he can do. Go up and get a football ever in his nfl career. I'm not sure mccall hartman. Athletic enough to play on the outside and go up and get a contested football. The other thing run is it. It's less to me about his upside in more about his role. And i don't think the role that they want to utilize him in this year is one. That's going to accentuate his skills. I think the role that he would have to be in four that would include tyreek hill. Not being on the roster. And i think that was part of why he was drafted mean. Go back to draft night with gall. Cd what happened there I think they felt that. The role that tyreek hill has in their offenses show valuable that they could not go a season without somebody having the ability to fill that and now they're trying to basically put a square peg into a round hole and i don't think he's the guy to go there and we can go to the chargers as well keenan allen mike williams josh palmer jalen guidon. I liked their death a little bit better than the chiefs as well. The the chiefs have the top end. Talent too far exceed every other team in the nfl and they've got the quarterback to make this thing work but their depth is a real issue in one. Cut down calm. There are going to hopefully be better options than what are available right now out there on the market and i hope that the chiefs are interested in our indu. Consider somebody or maybe multiple. One of those guys probably going to be the final roster spot where the wide receivers that just doesn't inspire a ton of confidence from me. The only guy that i feel good about his tyreek hill and then everybody else is a massive question mark in when i read earlier. This week from nate taylor of the athletes and i quote from the voluntary wait workouts in the teams mandatory minicamp mccoll hardman appears to be in position to have a breakout season as he is expected to have the role previously held by sammy watkins. That's terrifying for me. I i don't think he's a guy that profiles to play in that role sammy. Watkins was a prototypical x. Wide receiver where he can line up. On the line of scrimmage and beat man press coverage that is the opposite of what mccall hardman profiles as in fact the only guy on the team. Maybe you got two of them. That can do that. I think is cornell powell and byron pringle and i don't think those guys are starting level wide receivers at least not right now so i. I don't think they have that guy on the roster today. Listen i.
