"Yadda yadda. So yeah, this is a pretty big news, but you know, again, just be careful. It's not Amazon. So you might see some tweets, you might see some headlines, Amazon, but it starts accepting Bitcoin. This is what the real truth is, but it's still bullish news. I'm not trying to FUD the story. Still bullish news. Still pretty exciting. But it's not the global adoption that we all want with Amazon. But this is the first step. And that's important. Do we have time for Q&A? You got any. Back and forth. Throw it in there. I mean, we're pretty tight on time, but do we have any quick hits? Let's see, polygon Ethereum, buying ants. Let's look at the I did see all right, this is the fun story. It's the Bitcoin family here. Oh, I saw this, yeah. Yeah. We like these guys. I think maybe the guy was actually on an early episode of ATB. I'd have to double check. I think he was. I think he was too, yeah, a friend of the channel, even. All right, Bitcoin family is moving more than 1 million into decentralized exchanges after Sam bankman fried's FTX disaster currently they keep 73% of it in cold storage. But yeah, they do live off of their Bitcoin. So I mean, they do have to have at least some of it in exchanges at the point of sell. Confidence quickly eroding, but Dede hot two and his wife romaine and their three daughters and teddy are puppy, aren't they just cute? They adopted in Portugal last year are as confident as ever on their bet in Bitcoin and they're just changing how they store it. So yeah, it's a fun little family. They make a little content, you know, they're all about Bitcoin. He bought in early, and he convinced his family to live in an RV or a van. Basically pulled the Brian Emory. They've been traveling the world. That was one of the back when Ben and I were first talking on Instagram back in 2017. They were like the only some of the only few real crypto Instagram accounts back in the day. So I think I got in like 2015, something like that. Yeah, and it says here what they're selling to live right now, they're living on about .3 Bitcoin a month about $5000 and I can't wait for that guy because you know at one point he's going to be living at like .03 a month. And he's going to be like, I told you, I told my neighbors. And you know it's funny, I believe he sold his house, right? He sold his house. He's like, I told my neighbors to sell their house and buy Bitcoin. Imagine how stupid those people thought he was then. Like, can you believe, you know, the wife is pregnant? They have a second child on the way, and he's doing this. Why? I feel so sorry for those children, but now look, now who has the last laugh, is the Bitcoin family. So it's one of the fun stories of crypto always like this. Question from the chat D.C. if you had to pick one 8 or link, which would you choose?

"When you don't look in the mirror, you are not empowered. When you look in the mirror, you see you and what you want and what you need to do and what you need to be when you look in the mirror you reflect when you reflect you transform. When you transform, you change when you change, you do things differently. When you do things differently, you get different outcomes. When you looking in the window and you stand at other people, there is no reflection. It's only comparing. And as long as you can bear yourself to another model, I drive an escalator from Detroit. I drive an S plan, a Cadillac, right? When I see a dude in a Bentley, I'm looking at that baby like fire. But at no point am I going? I want to trade my Cadillac in for the Bentley. I've seen some fire land. I moved to Cali, everybody got Range Rover. I see some fire range rope. I've seen some Lamborghini. I looked at these vehicles and go, my, what craftsmanship. I've never gone, I feel just escalate. I feel so bad. I'm in an escalade. This is the car that was my dream car. The black on black. This is what I dreamed of. This is it. This is my dream vehicle. And so I don't look at what others have in compare. I actually look at what others have. I actually look at air and go man, there's a God. Wow. Look how he operates in his gift and is annoying. Look at his energy and his passion. Look as his delivery. And then I go, hey God, where's mine? Why did you give me? And give me ads. I don't want ants. Why? I can't do ads like air can do ads. But I can do erics like Eric and do Eric. So I'm saying get out of the window. Get in the mirror. Look at you, study you, figure out you. My boy Mustafa said some of the other day that was deep. Moo said, when you don't know what to work on, work on yourself. Wow. When you don't know what to work on, work on yourself.

When my wife was diagnosed with MS in the earlier stages, there were some life changes. Like, I stopped being on the road. You know, my team started doing CJ start doing like, we're doing solar. Like, we literally started business when didi got sick 'cause CJ was like, yo, EA go be on the road no more. I gotta make sure ET get paid. We started businesses because of DD sickness. I promise y'all a lot changed, right? A lot changed. I even had Friends keep it on the low. I had friends tell ask me, hey, how's the intimacy? Y'all straight? You know what I'm saying? Eric Thomas on the Incomparable Love of His Wife

"One of the things that affected me when I met you is how much you love Dede. And also in addition to that, how you consciously honor her, and the way you speak about her, it affected me when I met you. It's part of your character. And most people don't know this, but she was diagnosed. I'll let you explain this, but there's a significant life event that's happened for you, right? And I think it's tied to this miracle territory, because I think a lot of people say, well, I've got this one adversity right now that's really big. So that's why I can't right now, right? And it's probably going to define me the rest of my life. So that's my story. You say, no, no, no, not so much. Yeah, and at first and foremost, man, when you talk about God and his love, like, hey, there's nothing like it. But if you can find at least one other person on the earth, that loves you unconditionally, bro, you have found, let me tell you how something you think a house is something you think a car is something. You think a career, so it is. But when you find somebody on the earth that loves you like your mama love you and it ain't your mama, like, yo bro, I was lucky, I was homeless. I was coming to church thanking and Dede was like, yo, I'm gonna give you a shot. I look back and it's unbelievable. When I tell you I was in the dark place, bro, I left home at 16, mad at my mom, having a strange relationship with my mom. I was emotionally a wreck. I was homeless. I was putting myself in some crazy, and she took her shot, knowing how messed up I was. Here's the craziest part. Knowing it and going through it and believing that, yo, this ain't the best that he is, and I'm gonna be here to help this boy get to his ultimate

"I'm telling y'all. You gotta stop looking at obstacles as something that's meant to stop you and you gotta start looking at it like, wow, this is exciting. This gonna be fun. I'm gonna get through this and listen to me. I love DD too much to let anything stop her from living a life she wanna live. I love Jalen too much Jada too much to come to my children and say, look y'all, I wanted to have a good life y'all. I wanted y'all to be blessed, but there's something in this earth called trials and tribulation and me people and roadblocks and set, I'm not giving my wife no excuses. I'm not gonna even have a conversation with them about what's going on. I'm just gonna go hand to it and come back to the crib with the blessings. They don't even gotta know ad what I'm going through to get them, but I love Dede too much. Jalen too much, jaded too much. My mom, God, I love God too much, no weapon formed against me, she'll prosper. I can do all things through Christ. That's true to me. Like, I just believe in God too much to give negative stuff more credit than it deserves. Aware? Absolutely. Notice that it's here absolutely. Be real about what's ahead of me? Absolutely. But then it stopped me absolutely not.

"The ad council and feeding America 200 food banks strong Well that's right the nikkei two 25 bag from launch It is a negative territory extending It's declined to about one and a half percent It is about the yen reached the yen pausing in terms of its weakness counting up by about two tenths of 1% and that's weighing on the sentiment especially for exporters They've been lifted pretty much by the weekend Again we're keeping a watch on that at one 50 level which would be the lowest level in 24 years And one 34 14 right now All right Well look at that texture in really the mainsprings of this comeback for tech in this territory anyway with Alibaba shares a rising after an early plunge We had an 8% slide for its ADRs in New York and it all came about after Chinese regulators denied a report from other Bloomberg but they're in talks to revive ant group's IPO Lulu Chen is with us now who helped to break that story and that Lulu Quite something here Quite a twist of events So what contacts have told Bloomberg is that regulators have held preliminary talks to resume anti IPO CSR said in a statement last night that they are not working on the review and assessment of an IPO but they encourage platform companies that are eligible to go and go public in China and also overseas I think there's a few details that our contacts have told us that will suggest that business more than market chatter For one the company has been trying to apply for a financial holding license We've been told that regulators are thinking of very soon to accept this license which would mean that they are considering to issue the license which would be the first significant step for the company to go public That would clear path for obstacles of the restructuring and all the work that needs to follow up Now even though the deny the report Lula the thing is it does seem that the mood music in Beijing towards tech is changing Well the after the meetings in March and April were regulators have said repeatedly that they do support the platform economy and that they want to support capital market confidence I think the signals are all there the regulators themselves have said that this is something that needs to happen and what we are waiting for is the actual steps The follow-ups of actions to take place And what investors are really looking for are those concrete steps For example Dede there are new That's the other one isn't it Yes They really are the twin child of this Beijing tech crackdown that has really throttled and adapt and investment sentiment in the world's biggest one of the world's biggest startup scenes Absolutely you know we've had the premiere Niko Shang talk about opening this up and putting the economy on a firmer footing but they've all been words up till now haven't they Really And so we need to still see more concrete moves such as the video game band living lifted Yeah what people are really trucking right now for video games is Tencent and at ease when their new games can be approved The trickling of new gaming licenses are good but the Giants are not out of the Woods yet So one tenth and that ease actually get that approval then it will be another sign.

"Didi stuck in neutral when it comes to the U.S. For more let's go to Bloomberg daybreak Asia host Brian Curtis and Doug prisoner John in the coming week Chinese ride hailer didi global will hold an EGM to vote on its delisting plans in the United States Now Dede has recently said in a U.S. filing that it will not be able to resume normal operations until it finishes the delisting The company by the way is also facing a cybersecurity review Didi said in that same filing that it had already made rectifications to comply with the review these include improving management operations and compliance with procedures for cybersecurity data security personal data and privacy protections To look forward at didi's prospects and what they mean for the tech industry overall we're joined by Sofia orteca Bloomberg's chief China markets correspondent in Hong Kong So Sophia we don't really know yet whether or not the rectification measures that DD came up with will satisfy the regulator Yes exactly In the last we heard the penalties that were suggested against Dede were not sufficient So not just the rectification measures but also how far China will go and the cybersecurity regulator will go in punishing a company for not doing what Beijing wanted And it's not just the regulators in China It's also in the U.S. We know that didi is facing an SEC probe We don't know when that probe started Whether it started around the listing itself last year or whether it's a recent one But this is a company that's very much stuck between two extremely difficult regulatory probes in the U.S. and China So remind us very quickly how we got here because it was in June of last year that didi conducted the U.S. IPO 4.4 billion and then there was an abrupt pivot and the company became the subject of the cybersecurity probe How do we get here Yeah and this is a company that was once worth about 80 billion The IPO was extremely successful It's part of a number of Chinese companies that listed in the U.S. and what happened was didi was guided by regulators in China to not proceed with its IPO in the U.S. We know this but there wasn't an outright ban It wasn't like what happened with ant group where we know that the regulators in China later told aunt that it couldn't proceed with this IPO So it was window guidance and didi decided to go ahead anyway In December didi disclose a significant loss of 4.7 billion loss in its quarter revenue is down significantly So this is a company that's also struggling To expand we know also The Guardian reported that this company didi has decided to put its overseas expansion on hold so it's under pressure not just from the regulation cyber also as a company At the time just after its IPO surrounded July we know that some investors in the U.S. have put forward lawsuits saying that misled them and didn't tell them that there was this conversation around its plans to list the conversation with Beijing's regulators around cybersecurity So there was already significant amount of tension between Dede and shareholders But yes it was hailed at the time as one of China's most successful companies China's answer to Uber and it's all gone wrong since So if you think about it Dede has problems with the U.S. regulator with the Chinese regulator with its shareholders and with general investors because the stock has been sold down So viciously So there's a little bit of doom and gloom surrounding the company We need to talk about just briefly I think once the delisting had happened how it will trade on the so called pink sheets in the U.S. This is another thing that was quite disappointing for investors because the expectation was that didi wouldn't proceed with its U.S. delisting until it had plans for a re listing elsewhere and the expectation was that didi would apply for an IPO in Hong Kong But now we know that that Hong Kong those Hong Kong IPOs plans have been pulled And didi will go ahead and de list anyway And for a lot of Dede's shareholders they can't actually own pink sheets They can only own companies that trade on public on main exchanges So they'll be forced to sell because they can't do that conversion Sophia it's always a pleasure to have the chance to benefit from your perspective talking Dede global with Sofia Jorge Costa Bloomberg's chief China markets correspondent joining us from Hong Kong I'm Doug Krishna along with Brian Curtis you can catch us weekdays here for Bloomberg daybreak Asia beginning at 6 a.m. in Hong Kong 6 p.m. on Wall Street John Brian and Doug thanks.

"Yeah, faster Rex burkhead is kind of the cop I made for him. I love the pick too. A lot of people were wondering, you know, I don't know why. A lot of people are saying they don't need a running back. They absolutely needed a running back. We've been mocking running back to them, not that we got the right one, but obviously, but we've been mocking running back. Yeah, of course. We've been mocking running back to them for months, right? I mean, we've been talking about them drafting and running back on day three for 12 weeks on this program. And look, we'll get into some of this when we talk about Kevin Harris too. Not every running back does the same things. They had multiple needs at the running back position. It's their early down in the past catching back, strong can probably do both, but you need realistically four or 5 running backs to get through a season. We've seen it kill them a couple of times, multiple years. We've seen it kill them not having enough backs. They have really two definite NFL running backs on the Ross right now and Harrison Stevenson. James White, notice respect to him. He's coming off a serious series hip injury. We don't know where he's at. He's actually wrote about James White this morning on his notes column and he said that he's still got a ways to go to college. When I say they have two NFL backs, James White is obviously an NFL talent. He's one of the most underrated players in the league. We don't know that he's going to be ready to play to start the season. We don't even know if he's going to be back to the same guy that he was pre injury. That's one of those injuries, you know, Doc just Dede does a great job with injuries and sports in Boston specifically. And she said at the time when he'd had the injury and the official injury was announced as the hips of flexion that some guys at that age, especially, they're never the same after that. And I hope that's not the case with James White, but the patriot has an organization have to plan in advance that that might not be the case. So you have Harrison Stevenson, we're legit. And neither one, I think, I think they both can be past catchers. The Patriots just don't use them like that. But James White,.

"That light volume and kind of a mixed picture for equity markets in the 8 pack region It's 11 in the morning in Tokyo which means we'll go on the lunch break at the bottom of this hour right If you're joining from the region good morning I'm Doug krasner at the Bloomberg interactive broker studio in New York And I'm sure we all also hear a New York and yes dog you said I'd really lack in clear picture in the last two trading days of 2021 that's bringing in Bloomberg's David ingles for a look at what's shaping up the markets They've yeah Both price and volume are at least noticeable signals from the market if you are obviously absent right now given it is we are between Christmas and new year It is that time of the year when traders are essentially a win In fact just to underscore that point volumes at this point in time for the MSA Asia Pacific are 15 That's one 5 15% lighter a thinner compared to what we are used to seeing this time of the day So I guess a sample sized sort of benchmark sentiment is really not a statistically suitable as they say On price that we are up by a tenth of 1% on the regional benchmark if you exclude Japan from that you're sliding slightly getting less gravity as they say higher by a third of 1% S&P mini futures this after the index closed at yet again a new high 70 of the year 7 zero We're flat right now on that contract currencies are sideways You do have the Bloomberg dollar spawn index trading near 6 week lows Commodity markets watch this closely by the way which in case you missed it by far the best performing major asset class group this year Brent prices were looking at a very close to here The most active one is the feb 2022 contract 79 50 so we might just see 80 bucks as far as oil is concerned as we start of 2020 to in any case we're all 15% enough from its recent trough Early this month and let me just wrap things up right now I would look at Bitcoin Still under pressure off lows at a day We're looking at the 55 week average The 46 four 5 three were trading at about 200 bucks north of that key support level at this point in time Doug Yeah but your cost basis is what A thousand bucks or you're still in the grain by a mile For one in some cases Okay All right let's get to Dede global A lot of price action here in the stock during the New York session at least if you look at the ADRs to begin with Dee Dee had a massive net loss for Q three the number 4.7 billion revenue in and of itself was down more than 13% from Q two Now at the same time Dede confirmed a plan listing in Hong Kong This is because the company is moving to D list from the New York Stock Exchange Earlier today in the U.S. Reuters reporting the Hong Kong listing would allow owners of Dede's ADRs to transfer them gradually to Hong Kong exchange in clearing Now the Hong Kong listing will not be raising any capital or issuing any new stock So ADRs and DD today sherry they were down by more than 8% Oh that's not good Alibaba also didn't do great in the New York session We actually saw them Down more than 2% the company in talks with the Chinese state owned firm about buying Baba steak in the Weibo where of course the hugely popular Twitter like social media platform in China sources telling us Baba is exploring options for the near 30% stake the possible buyer is a state owned Shanghai media group Bloomberg's iching Shen gives us a bit more context There have been many reports on how pages taking a closer look at all the Chinese patriots on the growing powers in particular one or two curves So the influence in the sensitive media industry and this changed the latest move on that front We're told the discussion could lead to Shanghai media group purchasing all of Baba steak in Weibo Let's get an update on the global news 5 minutes past the hour.

"The S&P 500 rising yet again maybe not a lot of traders around but boy the people who are around and taking orders they still want to buy Yeah definitely We've got the nikkei up by more than 1.1% I think to be fair Kathleen two In addition to the rally that we had stateside some positive eco data for Japan helping out industrial output in the month of November was up 7.2% Now that's a month on month reading and it was much above the forecast calling for an increase of 4.8% That said the market on the Chinese mainland has been fluctuating between gains and losses Right now Shanghai composite is off just a tenth of 1% and after a holiday yesterday in Hong Kong the hang seng is weaker by about four tenths of 1% Some positivity though in Seoul with the Cosby now rising about a tenth of 1% Earlier we had the PBOC boosting its daily liquidity injection all the way up to ¥200 billion It was over the weekend that the Chinese Central Bank pledged greater support for the real economy It also said it would make good use of its monetary policy tools that was likely referring to adjustments in liquidity and we certainly got that today Not helping out equity prices too much and if you look at the offshore Chinese currency right now the yuan flat dollar China's 6 spot 37 53 against the greenback Now in terms of the bond market U.S. ten year treasury up a bit and yield not by much we're just under one 48 in the Tokyo session We're going to take a closer look at market action Fourier in about 15 minutes Kathleen Well here's a story that certainly caught the markets I on Monday as Dede shares tumbled after the Financial Times reported that Dee Dee's current and former employees have been banned from selling any of their stock indefinitely more on the story for Bloomberg's Charlie pellet Shares of the Chinese ride hailing giant fell 5.4% the move to block employees from unloading their shares comes just as early investors are able to sell stock with the end of deity's 180 day lockup following its June IPO while Dede's outside investors which include Uber soft bank and Tencent Holdings were still able to offload shares the FT said they will likely face steep losses after months of selling pressure Earlier this month Dee Dee said it had begun preparations to delist from American exchanges and pursue a listing in Hong Kong In New York Charlie pellet Bloomberg daybreak Asia Well Beijing will impose some new restrictions on foreign IPOs by companies in restricted sectors that story from Bloomberg's Rosalind chin Chinese firms and industries banned from foreign investments will need to seek a waiver before proceeding to sell shares overseas Authorities in Beijing also say overseas investors in such companies won't be allowed to participate in management and their ownership of the company will also be restrained Total ownership will be kept at 30% and a single investor can not hold more than 10% Regulators did not ban IPOs by firms using the so called VIE holding company structure even so the new rules would make the VIE process more difficult and costly The rules will go into effect in January In Hong Kong and Rosalind gin Bloomberg daybreak Asia Well let's take a look now at some of the big global news Head now to the San Francisco 9 60 newsroom back to Ed basker on Baxter I should say on the story you've been covering so closely for us including speaking to our Michelle kuchars about the CDC shortening this COVID isolation time Yeah absolutely This is an attempt to clarify the recommendations probably will the confuse things first coming out of the gate Everybody's confirming that forest as you know Kathleen today on day break Asia What we know is that the isolation for COVID positive people who are asymptomatic do not have symptoms for 5 days followed by 5 days of that isolation followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others now Bloomberg's I'm a court here on daybreak Asia says the CDC is based on this estimated contagion times So the CDC said that they made this shift based on science showing that you're basically most likely to transmit this virus One or two days before showing symptoms and then two or three days once you have symptoms So basically they're saying we know you're most likely to give this virus to other people during this period and that's why we're shorting the isolation period Now this seems to make no distinction between vaccinated and unvaccinated but what is becoming more and more clear is that the unvaccinated are the ones getting more sick That's doctor Anthony Fauci here What we're worried about are the people who have not been vaccinated because they are really quite vulnerable not only to getting infected but to be getting a severe outcome And that's the concern that we have for those individuals Fauci also says becoming clear that I'm a con is causing some kids to be much more likely to need hospitalization and Doctor Fauci says a U.S. domestic travel vaccination rule should also now be considered calling it reasonable New York City is taking the current surge in cases very seriously and mayor Bill de Blasio here We're now going to a two dose requirement as of today for everyone 12 years old and up So you know that people are well protected when you go to the movie theater when you go out to dine whatever it is everyone well protected and it applies to all employers well vaccinate your workers New York City Apple stores have closed except for online pickups Major concern is the unvaccinated people will now have a greater chance just like everybody to be "States summer shop salon And I'm Brian Curtis trading is 90 minutes out in some key markets like Tokyo and Seoul and three hours away in Hong Kong and Shanghai breaking news the Democrat Phil Murphy has won reelection as the governor of New Jersey We'll get you details on that with Baxter in a few moments as well as more on the markets with Doug Kushner but for now rich and I will take a look at the top stories Absolutely all about the fed right Brian gonna be beginning tapering asset purchases at the end of the month It'll reduce purchases of treasuries by $10 billion and buying of mortgage and mortgage backed securities by some $5 billion Now with regards to interest rates policy fetch a pal same policy will remain accommodative for now Our decision today to begin our tapering our asset purchases does not imply any direct signal regarding our interest rate policy We continue to articulate a different and more stringent test for the economic conditions that would need to be met before raising the federal funds rate Indeed pal said it wouldn't be a good time to raise interest rates because he wants to see the labor market heal further saying that the fed could wrap the tapering process up by the middle part of next year but the pace could change depending of course on the economic outlook Uber is set to record a loss of more than $3 billion on its stake in the Chinese ride hailer didi Dede's U.S. traded shares have plummeted more than 40% since the debut of Dede The decline was triggered by Beijing's order to remove Dede's app from online stores in China regulated Uber's portfolio It was valued at nearly $15 billion at the end of the second quarter Uber will report earnings results after the bell tomorrow Citigroup is about to apply for an investment banking business license in China They want to set one up there so it's telling us a bank plans to apply for that to underwrite yuan denominated shares This is also allowed to conduct trading for clients in China hearing the city would submit submit the application over the next couple of days They're also going to be playing for a futures license in the next few weeks All right the time here is 32 and a half minutes past the hour Let's get to the market So we should mention it was pretty orderly in the treasury market little steepening of the yield curve Doug prisoners with us looking at markets Nothing like what we saw earlier in the week with all the carnage that we saw basically in the fire sales of frontend rates elsewhere Wouldn't you say that the decision from the fed today was pretty much what the market was prepared for I would say that was the case So we know that the tapering process is going to begin at the end of the month and the monthly rate is about 15 billion A combination there of U.S. treasuries of 10 billion fewer 5 billion fewer mortgage backed securities Again this is pretty much what the market was hoping for Now in terms of rate hikes said chair Powell was very clear It's not even on the table until the bond buying program ends That's mid next year And so we had to move up in rates ten year treasury adding about 6 Let's call it 5 basis points and yield One 60 at the end of a New York trading And then in the equity space record highs across the board for the Dow the S&P NASDAQ comp Russell 2000 even at an all time high A lot of earnings news after the bell Qualcomm gave guidance for the current quarter on revenue that was above forecast those shares up by just about 6.7% right now The forecast on revenue from Electronic Arts was broadly in line with estimates Now this suggests that the new game battlefield do out this month will perform better than some of the early reviews were implying stock right now in Electronic Arts after hours is about 4% higher We also heard from Roku results below estimates on some key metrics and the guidance for the current quarter was below the consensus and the company seems to be blowing a blaming a lot of the supply chain issues there Stock right now in Roku down by more than 8% in late New York trading Terms of a currency behavior we're seeing a weaker dollar and the dollar remains on the back foot with the Bloomberg dollar spot index right now down to about a tenth of 1% We were off about three tenths of 1% in New York trading Interestingly we have a little bit of weakness in the end One 14 spot zero one and now the Chicago Nike futures a 29,008 ten imply a gain of I'm gonna say something greater than 200 points when the Japanese equity market comes online We've got crude oil right now just above $80 a barrel We actually broke below that number in New York trading That was after the EU said the talks with Iran on a nuclear deal will resume on November 29th We'll take another look at markets in about 15 minutes were shot Yep 25 minutes to go before we get the Aussie market up and running Let's now have a look at what's going on at 25 minutes to the top of the "Back here on the gsm see fantasy football podcast for the second segment of today's show. We're gonna do the over under sigua and talk about the players on the minnesota vikings and talk about whether or not i think they will eclipse their fantasy. Totals from last year. Be around the same numbers or be below their fantasy totals. So let's get right into that so starting off with the quarterback position of the vikings. You got kirk. Cousins kirk cousins last year had a really good season. Statistically forty two hundred yards passing thirty five touchdowns thirteen interceptions and his fantasy. Totals is fantasy numbers finished at three hundred six point two so i think he's going to be below those numbers this year. I think it's going to be hard to replicate that because these numbers are very high. I don't think he's gonna get thirty five touchdowns this year. I think he can throw close to thirty. I don't think he's going to replicate what he did. The last year. When it comes to his touchdown passes. I think he could get close to four thousand yards while he got forty two hundred forty two hundred sixty five last year. He could probably close to that again. But i think it'd be a little bit below that interceptions i feel like will be about the same. Fumbles maybe try to work on that. But overall numbers i think will still be solid this year i think however they will be below his fancy totals from last year so i do think he'll be under that three hundred six point to point total so moving onto the running back position. You got dalvin cook last year. On three hundred twelve rushing attempts he rushed for fifteen hundred. Fifty seven rushing yards. He had sixteen rushing touchdowns. He finished with three hundred. Fifteen point. Eight fancy points. This is going on the. Espn numbers half pr. I think he is going to get below that. I still think he will have a solid season. He's going to be for the most part. The second running back taken off the board and a lot of drafts. And i do think that that will continue but i definitely do think this is going to be a point total. That is going to be hard to match. And i'm thinking to say that he's gonna be under that. Also dalvin cook does tend to miss a game or two during the year and i have a feeling that that's going to happen again this year and it's just based on the position he plays so i'm going to say that he is going to have great season and i think a lot of people would agree with that but i do think he's going to blow his fancy totals. I do think that it's almost a guarantee that he's going to miss at least one or two games during the year. So that's my thoughts on alvin cook. Then we could talk about their other running back. alexander madison. Their backup to alvin cook last year. On ninety six attempts he rushed for four hundred thirty four yards and two touchdowns eight point four fantasy points. I definitely think that that's probably around the total that he'll get maybe a little bit above that if he sees an increase in playing time. I do think that you know. Overall the vikings are going to be a better team this year. And i think they are going to. You know maybe wanna give alvin cook a little bit more of a break. In between if he's you know going off because obviously you wanna keep them fresh and you don't want him to get injured like i just said that he could be guaranteed to miss a game due to injury. So you know you have alexander. Madison run a little bit more than he has keeped. Alvin cook fresh. So i'm gonna say he's going to be around his fantasy totals. I think he'd get more than two touchdowns this year. However rameses going be around that fantasy total eighty point four maybe a little bit above maybe a little bit below but i would say around that total that he had last year will probably get that this year. Espn has a projected at one hundred. Four point six so they're probably anticipating that either cook gonna get hurt or we're going to see an increase playing time for alexander madison. We'll just have to wait and see on that. So that's my thoughts on the running backs for the vikings so now moving onto the receivers of the vikings. I will talk about justin jefferson. He's coming off a season that you know. It was really good for him as a rookie last year looking at his statistics from last year. Eighty eight receptions on one hundred twenty five targets fourteen hundred yards exactly seven touchdowns finished with two hundred thirty point. Two fantasy points. I think is probably going to be under that this year slightly. I still think he's gonna be great. He's going to be one of the top wide receivers taken off the board. I think he's going to be a top ten top twelve fantasy wide receiver. But i do think he's going to be slightly under the fancy totals that he had from year ago. But i still think he's going to be really productive gonna be a solid wide receiver one for your team and yeah definitely a guy that you should be looking for. In targeting in your drafts. Expect him to have another great season so then moving on to another receiver on the vikings. You have adam feeling last year. Seventy four receptions one hundred targets nine hundred twenty five receiving yards and fourteen touchdowns and he finished a two hundred seventeen fantasy points. I definitely think that fourteen touchdowns very high for him last year. So i'm definitely going to expect that you're going to see a reduction in that. I don't think he's gonna match fourteen touchdowns like he did a year ago. I do think that he'll still get a decent amount. But i don't think fourteen is realistic this year. I still think he'll be a productive receiver. Definitely a guy that kinda sees his fantasy value diminish a little bit from years past now with the emergence of justin jefferson. You know definitely is starting to get a little bit older. But i think he's still a productive fantasy wide receiver. I don't know why everyone is just not as high on deal. And as they have been i guess. Yeah because he's getting older because he's dealt with injuries and justin jefferson. Looks like he's going to take over and take a lot of targets away from deal in which you know that happened last year. And it's going to happen this year but i guess people just aren't high on dealing as they have been and i'm a little confused by it. It's just i. It's very weird that like everyone's just so turned off by feeling. I mean i just named reasons. Why but it's just kind of weird. Why you know feeling is dropping like so dramatically because now when you look at the vikings offense they don't have a number three wide receiver. I mean they did bring in keelan cold but how much is or sorry. I've been saying keelan coal. They brought in dede westbrook. Now that i'm looking at this robinson keelan coal like this entire time. I think he and kohl's on the jets so i haven't seen cold is entire time and actually dede westbrook. That's their number three wide receiver. Don't think he's really going to factor in taking targets away from the jefferson. He does add another weapon to the offense. But i really don't think he's going to cause problems for justin jefferson worth so going back to. I think it will be under fourteen touchdowns. I think he's gonna be slightly under his fantasy towards from last year but i still think he's going to be productive wide receiver. I think he could still be a solid wide receiver to for your teams or if not that definitely affleck's option so that's my thoughts on adam feeling so let's go to dede westbrook last year one reception on one target for four yards and he finished with negative. One point one fantasy points. I think he's going to get above that and if he does play of course we just play above that negative one point one. Is you know that you could definitely beat that so yet. Don't really have to go into more detail on that. I was gonna talk about chad baby. But he's on. I r so i'm guessing you know he's not really going to have an impact on the team early on and really isn't going to have an impact in fantasy because he's going to be or would be the number four wide receiver so i'm not going to talk about that. I'll just just stop talking about the wide receivers for the vikings so earth smith. Junior gonna be out. The entire season is really unfortunate because this was a guy that was very high on. I thought he was going to have a great season. Because the vikings like i talked about really didn't have a number three wide receiver. They bring in dede westbrook. But even if the even with irv smith junior and dede westbrook on the field the same time i think kirk cousins with target irv smith junior lot more and also earth smith. Junior was a guy that they used a lot and targeted a lot in the red zone. So that's definitely going to be something. That is going to be missed for this. Vikings offense and it's just a reminder of how injuries are just a part of the game Stinks injuries stink..

"Arepa. Assan covers the vikings for the athletic. He joins us here on the progressive guest. Line map peralto aria. Hey how's it going. I appreciate your time okay. This is the first question. I asked everybody. Because we're in that part of camp that it's kind of winding down and some of the battles going on. What is the most intriguing battle at viking camp that you are watching right now. Oh man. I wish. I had a more exciting answer for you but all the starters are basically figured out for the vikings so I was watching the right guard position. I know that gets the blood pumping. But they've kind of decided on the start of their that's only hoodoo wide receiver three It seems to be a competition. That's been heating up That's between cagey osborne. Dede westbrook who hasn't been able to have like a full complete practice yet. You still recovering from injury Embarrassment marsat. Who's a rookie there. So that's an interesting battle linebacker three. That's all i got for you. I'm sorry it's quite all right. What is i. Don't know if you get much feedback on this. But mike zimmer's approach to the covert in nineteen vaccine and how open. He has been how vocal he has been bringing in a specialist. Dr to answer questions and then obviously the quarterback situation and kirk cousins. And what he's gonna do or not going to do with the vaccine. How big of a story has been on the ground with the vikings something that you know on the beat that we talk about every so often mostly because it's inherently interesting subject And obviously there's some tension between the coaching staff and some of the players. I mean kirk. Cousins isn't the only high profile viking who has resisted calls to get vaccinated. I mean harrison. Smith leader the defense M feeling we know how important he is in that locker. Room dalvand cook. I mean it's a lot of players and a lot of high profile positions. I and it's frustrating. The coaches but i think between the players in the locker room. I don't think it's an issue yet if it becomes an issue during the season if somebody has to lose a game check because i think that suddenly you know tensions will appear but in terms of like among the players i. It doesn't seem to be a big deal. Did anybody or did you get any inclination..

"Starting now and investors. Got that message. Sort of makes you realize why mark zuckerberg has been running around talking about the metaverse. All of the sudden. He did it on the earnings call again. Yesterday it's basically this strategy. That didi is considering going back private. In order to placate chinese authorities the word was that they would compensate investors for losses using money made during its ipo. Which i'm not even sure how that would work but the company has also come out and denied these rumors this morning. Still quoting the wall street journal. "He was going to be a starting quarterback this year. I thought he was done with all the off the field stuff and just him being so disgusted with what the texans have done over the course of the past couple seasons now that he's supposedly going to training camp and he may be starting quarterback this year. I mean that changes a lot because he is arguably a top three quarterback in the league and if he does play this year he's gonna put a really big numbers and he increases the draft stock for guys like brandin cooks and the texans just traded for anthony miller who played previously played for the bears wide receiver. Got him got randall. Cobb you have kiki cutie. You have these guys. And then you have. That loaded backfield with philip lindsay. David johnson mark ingram. So if the shawn watson comes in and is quarterback this year texans. Offense is going to put up points one hundred percent. They were a hundred percent to put up points. They're not they're still not going to be a very good team but they are definitely going to put up points now again. This is this is a little bit of an overreaction because you know it just came out he you know and i can't. I can't even believe that. There's a possibility that shawn watson can play. 'cause i really to be honest with all the off the field stuff and everything like that. I did not think there was a chance that he was going to play this year. And now he's possibly going to be playing this year and well they will not even that but he's going to be showing up to training camp so that's just a small step in to you. Know him possibly playing. And i listen. I you know it's it would unfortunately stink without him because you know he's one of the marquee players in this league and you know he's a guy that you know you love to watch him play and obviously a lot of you know off. The field stuff has happened. That's kind of changed his image a little bit. I mean everybody was kind of in his corner what he was doing with the texans. But you know certain things came out. And i'm not going into details with that but you know with all that stuff you know it. It kind of you know changed. Everybody's opinion on them and now really nobody. Nobody i. I would say really. Nobody's kind of in his corner as much as They were previously but you know if he does come back and he does play for the texans in this upcoming season. He's going to be one of the first cuba taken off the board. He is really talented. And you know again that raises the draft stock for pretty much. Everybody that's on the texans offense Now by that much. I think really the best guy to take brandin cooks. Brandin cooks really did have a good season last year for houston at now. They will fuller so brandon cups. Brennan cooks as the first is the number one option now for this team and you know producer shawn watson does come back and play. He's going to be really good With the shawn watson but you know as the running backs it's just it that that's still a clustered backfield. I mean you probably still stay away from that but you know. We'll see what happens with that. Also some other small stuff now so dede westbrook the wide receiver for the jaguars will now not with jaguars anymore. He signed with the vikings. So that kinda gives the vikings a third wide receiver. So now i was talking about. How irv smith junior. He's gonna kinda jump up and be that number three option. I still think he probably can be in. Dd west will definitely fight for targets as that number three option for minnesota doesn't really impact eland in deland dig stealing and justin jefferson. No i don't think it does. Those are the number one and number two wide receivers. I don't think dede westbrook shirley gonna take anything away from them. So i don't really think there's anything to worry about there but that is still a nice. I think it's a decent signing for the vikings again it gives them another wide receiver to work with also other news Chandler jones is reportedly requested a trade from arizona. And this is something you know that i kind of didn't expect. But he's kind of unhappy with his contract situation and you know you had him and. Jj watt did those two guys have been the sack leaders for the past. i there was a statistic. I think last couple of years they they were one and two in sacks and you know the the cardinals defense again. it's not going to be dominant this year. But with those two guys you expected them to be a really good pass rush and now he wants out now. He's still expected to report to training camp but if he gets out and he doesn't wanna play for the cardinals that does hurt the cardinals defense and i think the cardinals defense definitely would get drafted. You know a lot more than it has been because of those two guys but now if you take chandler jones out of the picture. Jj watt who has dealt with injuries over the past couple of years last year. He i think he was relatively healthy for last year but dealt with injuries basically his whole career. And now you're getting ready getting rid of chandler jones and hassan radic went to carolina. You know so it would. Now you have an aging. Jj watt as your best pass rusher. I just don't i don't like that. So and that..

Conversation with the head of mental health startup Frame Teletherapy

"Hey Candle. Thank you for coming onto the show they are having me. Yeah. It's certainly being a crazy period of time right now at the time of this recording, we're not only facing a pandemic, but also simultaneously a heatwave and wildfires here in California one could say is little bit much right now and in this little surprised that we're feeding a little bit more. Stressed and anxious than usual. I'm saying this because we couldn't have found a better time to record this podcast about Tele therapy and your business frame. Maybe you can tell us what frames all about. Yeah. So I am the CO founder and CEO Frame the mental wellness platform that makes it easier to connect with therapists mid different ways both in person and digitally we actually Offered to core services on our platform the first one is for people who I've never been therapy and just WANNA, learn a little bit more about it and for them we offer our digital discussions which are livestream conversations between licensed therapist and volunteer participants that you can watch anonymously from the comfort of your own home. So it's like a veteran or how should imagine. It. So basically, what we do is we wanted to create a way for people to see what happens in an actual therapy session. So it's completely free product. It's available to everyone in the country and these conversations mirror what a real therapy session would be like in real life. So we've on boarded in trained licensed therapists from all over the country they we pick different. Topics, and then we bring on volunteer participants. These are real people who share their real problems on camera and you can listen and we actually built a custom platform so that you can actually watch lives men. There's interactive tools where you can submit questions in therapist answers them for you at the end of the recession or if you WANNA watch on your own time. We have a content library of the past recorded sessions. Wow. That's great unlike just to give us an idea what what sorts of topics being discussed on their great asset because you again, I really wanted to create a product that sort of educates people not only on what happens in therapy the different types of therapies even work with also about the different topics and so. We really try to pick topics that are relevant to what's going on right now. So obviously, we launched actually during covid where a new startup and obviously it was a really hot topic right there to talk about working right home adjusting to life. We actually did a lot of topics around people who are losing their jobs during Cova did and now we shifted to. The black lives matter. Movement we we did a series on racial trauma and how it's affected different people from different perspectives, and now we've been really focusing of recently on burn out and how people are really sort of just feeling. So achieved and down about the current situation in the world in how you identify Burnett, and how you deal with that, right? Yeah I can. Totally imagine that with many of us actually working from home right now and not taking any vacation burn notice on the horizon for many of us exactly, and then we actually have a second service on a platform of for those that are ready to talk with therapist one on one we have a therapy matching service and we actually will match you as a therapist. Based on your personal needs. So you end you come onto our platform you answer ten questions we give you six options of therapist matches, facilitate free intro call. So you can call a couple of get a sense for me. Thank you connect with best and then you scheduled to our platform you do the video sessions or a platform and you pay for farm. So it's A one stop shop for therapy and how does like you matching algorithm matched me like what what do you like through those ten questions in how does that look actually on the therapist end? Yeah. So we spent a lot of time building out the matching algorithm. My co-founder sage grazer is a licensed therapist so that really helped but while we were building the product. We actually brought in about ten to twenty therapists and we interviewed them and we got a better sense for how they screen for clients in real life, and we use those inputs to help build our algorithm but I think another important factor of this is that you algorithms can't fully predict chemistry. So just like a dating APP, you go on multiple dates before you find. Your soulmate, and so we really wanted to create that experience as well. We're not gonNA just pick a therapist for you. So we really focused on getting the right types of therapists in front of you, and then we want to empower our users to pick the therapist and we're getting a lot of anecdotal feedback that saying I've actually called three or four of the. Therapists on the lesson. This one happened to be a college athlete and so was I. we really connected on that and those are just things that you're not gonna get an intake form on them out organically when you're having this conversation because it's really hard to judge a therapist just based on his profile resume, right? So I, I can totally imagine that you know approach. To Kinda Dede's a few therapists to find the right fit for me. Exactly and it's really about therapy is different than other doctors. You know when you're getting surgery, you kind of want to know where the doctor go to school and how many surgeries have been done when it comes to therapists. It's really about who do you feel most comfortable talking to I. Honestly. Couldn't even tell you where my therapist got her masters for around and you know I've been to some of the most you know world renowned therapists. I've waited six months to see them and you don't necessarily click with them. So it's really just about that. There is that sort of live interaction that you can. You can only feel for when you're talking to yourself rights.
